“This is a very entertaining story with a very entertaining Tom. So Forge find the diary and start communicating - much more carefully than Ginny, and only after having lifted a few of the charms. Slowly, their souls start seeping into Toms, making him whole again, but also adding decidedly Weasley features. When - more due to an accident in which Scabbers is sacrificed (nobody knew he was human!), Tom suddenly emerges from the diary in flesh and blood, he looks like a Weasley cousin with brown, reddish hair and freckles. He takes on the name Thomas Prewett-Gaunt, finds a Squib who is a distant relative of the Weasleys and is more or less adopted into the family. (It's not exactly clear who the Squib thinks he really is, but she likes him, and he's fond of her).
Tom thinks his creator (or evil grand-pa, as the twins call him) is completly barmy. He's not into world dominion, he wants knowledge and power in the more traditional way. Tom hates the cold and Quidditch, is a bookworm, loves Divination and has Trelawny as his favorite teacher. He hates everything ministry-related and disdains Dumbledore. He is inexplicably fond of Harry and acts as his protector and mentor. He, the twins, the evil doll Parkinson and some other Slytherin become the 'Marauders 2.o' They prank a lot of people, but in a fun way, except for when they enroll the whole school into their scheme to get rid of Umbridge.
Accidentally, Tom realizes about the Horcruxes. They find the diadem in the ROR, Tom destroys it. They find another two when helping Sirius (redeemed) to clear out Grimmauld Place and Bella's vault. Eventually, Tom gets suspicious about Harry's scar. He examines it and manages to tear the connection.
Arriving at King's Cross for the holidays, Harry is suddenly kidnapped out of their mid by Barty, right to the cemetary. Tom and all his friends manage to find him and a battle with Voldi ensues. It ends with Tom shooting him with a rifle”
