Chapter 1: First day
Chapter Text
"Am I really this desperate?" I wondered out loud to himself, looking up at the building in front of him. The sign read "Bullet Club" and it was the most popular strippers club in town. It offered male and Female workers, and was owned by one of the most rich people in town. Kenny Omega. I knew vary little about him, and wanted to keep it that way.
The only reason I was even here was because of the ever growing pile of bills in my apartment. Omega payed vary well, and was said to take care of his people. I had gotten the chance at the job because an old friend was now working with Omega. With a heavy sigh, I pushed the door open.
The inside looked vary nice. A large bar with a vary nice selection of expensive looking drinks in the behind it, and large stage with a few poles on it for dancers. There were a few tables in the room, and booths in corners of it. The walls were painted black, and the floor was tile.
"Hey Adam!" A voice called, causing me to turn to see Chuck Taylor, the one who got me the job.
"Hey man, what's going on?" I asked shifting the weight of my bag on my shoulder.
"You look nervous man. What's wrong?" He asked eyeing me up and down.
"I'm a bit nervous," I admitted.
"Don't be man. You were making a shit tone of money while being an escort, and you'll make like twice that, plus it's safer." Chuck assured him, but working with Omega He wasn't so sure about the safer part.
"Taylor! That the new guy?" A man with shoulder length brown hair and a short beard asked walking up. He was dressed in a gray suit with a vary light blue shirt and a slightly darker blue tie. The man stuck his hand out for me to shake. "I'm Matt Jackson, I need you to come with me so we can get you set up." He explained.
I nodded dumbly and followed him towards the back of the building. I had heard of Matt Jackson, along with his brother Nick. They were close friends with Omega, but I wasn't sure what they did exactly. "Right in here." Matt said pulling a door open to an office. He held it open for me as I walked in. The room was vary nice, and sitting at the table was a man who looked quite a bit like Matt but no beard, and a man with blond hair. The one who looked like Matt had on a dark blue suit, and the blond one had on a white one.
"You can sit." Matt said motioning to an empty chair. I took a seat and Matt sat in the other one. "Page, this is Nick Jackson and Cody Rhodes. Cody, Nick, this is the new guy, Adam Page." Matt said introducing us.
"Nice to meet you," Nick said sticking his hand out for me to shake. Cody did the same, and Matt pulled out some paper work.
"We have a few questions to ask to figure out where to put you, then we will show you to the dressing room and from there someone will help you get ready and show you where to go," Matt explained and I nodded along.
"First, Full legal name." He said looking up at me.
"Adam Page."
"Age?"
"27."
"Performance name?"
"Hangman." Cody have me a side eye but I did my best at staying focused on Matt.
"Pronouns and Sexuality?" I hesitated on answering witch caused him to look up. "We use that for placement. Some people want a female, male, hell non-binary. We also want to not make it uncomfortable for you. If your straight we won't let you work with men. Gay, we won't make you work with a women if you don't want. And anything else I between." I nodded quickly, not wanting to anger them.
"Um, he/him and I'm gay." I answered. He nodded writing it down.
"Ok, now we want to know if you have any long turn experience. Normally we would ask this at the interview, but since we went off the word of Chuck we can't be sure."
"Ok um, I was an escort for a while." I admitted.
"Why did you stop?"
"Escorting isn't always the safest, and I had gotten a pretty basic job at a Wendy's."
"So what brought you here?" Nick asked cutting in fro the first time.
"I got laid off, and bills are piling up. The owner of the Wendy's was apparently working with someone and posed him off. Ended up losing the place, and most of us got let go." I explained.
"Was it the Wendy's up by the cross fit?" Cody asked suddenly, looking at me closely.
"Um ya."
"He's getting closer." Cody mumbled looking at Matt.
"Cody-"
"No he knows the agreement. He getting a little to fucking close for my liking." He snapped, anger evident in his voice. I wasn't sure what to do, having no idea what they were talking about.
"I know how you feel about them, but one, we have an employee in here. And two, there nothing we can do until Kenny gets here. Drop it." Nick snapped. Nick and Matt stared at each other for a moment before Cody relaxed his body, giving up. There was an obvious power struggle, and the Jackson brothers clearly had more authority.
"Any ways, I think considering your Past experience if your comfortable with it, we will put you in a personal room." Matt said taking my attention from the other too.
"If that's where you want me I'm fine with that."
"Perfect. I'll show you to the Locker room, and I'll have someone show you wear to go from there." Matt explained as he stood up. He walked towards the door and I followed quickly behind, grabbing my bag as we left.
We walked side by side for a few seconds before Matt spoke up. "I apologize for Cody's behavior. We wouldn't except that from anyone else, but he has some personal connections to McMahon. It's become personal for him." He explained, but I just gave him a confused look.
"McMahon as in the guy that owns a bunch of apartments."
Matt chuckled looking me up and down. "I guess you'll learn eventually." Just then we got to a door labeled Male performers. He pushed the door open and there were a couple of guys in there, including Chuck.
"Taylor, help Page get ready ya? He's gonna be working a private room," he hollered over to Chuck who just nodded. "A last heads up before I go, we do have a camera in the private rooms. It's just a safety precaution, so if anything happens we can help you. We take vary good care of our people." He said before walking out the door.
"Get your ass over here page." Chuck called making me walk over. He was talking to some guy with long blond hair and the other had short blond hair. "This is Joey Janela, and Jim."
'Jim' waved at me while Joey grabbed my arm and shook it. "Nice to meet you man. Chuck hasn't told us much about you yet," he said
"Ya, nice to meet you too." I mumbled.
"You can throw your stuff in witch ever locker you want. You can get a lock of you want, but no one touches each other's stuff. Bathrooms over there, your welcome to change there but I'm sure at some point we I'll see you naked and you us. Some vanities to do makeup and such at. Make sure your heat by 2 so you can get ready, and you'll need to be in the room by 6. I'll show you where it will be when your ready." Chuck was talking quickly, and I was doing my best to keep up but it was a lot of information. "And some info on private room workers. Someone will pay to go back there, and if they chose to give you more back there you can have it. You will get paid once a week so don't worry."
I nodded, set my bag down, and opened it. Looking down at the outfit I thought I was done wearing, time to 'saddle up'

Kenny's POV
"I'm heading to the club!" I called out as I pulled my suit Jacket on. I looked in the mirror as I strained my tie, and pushing a bit of my black curls from my face. Presentation was one of the most important things to me, and prided myself on it.
"Sir, what about the girl outside?" One of the people who worked for me asked. She was a short women, and was a cleaner.
"Ehh, take her out with the rest of the trash. Send her on her way with a few hundred dollars, should be enough." I instructed her. I reached over and grabbed the aviator glasses, the selling point of my signature look.
"Of course sir. Have a nice night." She said before leaving the room. I rubbed my hand over my face lightly. I glanced over at the table where a stack of papers sat, and on top of it a picture of a man and letter. It had been from one of the guys who worked at the club. His friend had been in some financial trouble, and was asking for a job for him. I had just about thrown the ting away when I had seen a picture of the man. Adam Page.
I grabbed my phone, sending a message to Nick that I was on my way. Anytime I left a building I let Nick know, just in case. I walked towards the elevator and got in. I hit the lobby button, and when I got there I could see my car parked in front of the building, as always. There wasn't really anyone in the lobby as I made my way outside. The driver opened the door for me, allowing me to get in before he did.
The drive was quick, and silent as always. Once we got there I thanked the man and headed inside. Matt was waiting for me greeting me with a head nod. Plenty of people were here by now, and the music was on. Different people dancing up on stage and off to the side.
"Anyone good?" I questioned as my eyes skimmed over the crowd. I liked to know who was in my club.
"Mayor again. A little early to know if anyone else will show up." He told me, finally looking over at me.
"Oh! And good luck. Cody's pissed off."
"What? Why?" I asked, giving him a confused look.
"Some more bad new about you know who." He said, making me shake my head.
"Fuck, why won't he leave us be." I mumbled.
"I don't know, but you better have a talk with Cody. He about started yelling about it when the new guy was talking with me."
"New guy?"
"Ya, chucks friend. He started tonight." Matt confirmed as my eyes swept over the dancers. It all looked pretty normal to me.
"Where is he?"
"Private room. He has experience as an escort."
"Oh he sounds nice." We both whipped around at the deep voice. The voice of Randy Orton.
"What the actual fuck are you doing here?" I snapped, anger filling me.
"Hey know Omega, calm down. I'm a paying costumer. And I wouldn't mind paying for some time with your new boy." He said wiggling his eyebrows making my stomach knot.
"Out of your fucking mind you think I'm gonna let you near one of my employees." I mumbled, but Randy tisked at me.
"Omega, we really gonna make scene in front of all your costumers? Just 10 minutes, had a rough day at work." He said rewatching up to rub his shoulder as though injured.
I wanted to argue with him more, but making a scene would only make things worse. I pushed my glasses up on top of my head so I could look Randy I’m the eyes. “If you so much as look at one of my employees the wrong way, I will have you beaten to a pulp. Understood?”
He laughed a bit, as though my threat was funny. “Calm down. Now, where do I pay?” I directed him over to the bar, and turned back to Matt.
“Go watched the severity footage, I want you watching him like a hawk.” Matt nodded before taking off down the hall. I was about to follow when a hand settled on my shoulder.
“Omega!” I turned and saw Karl Anderson, my firearms dealer and long time friend.
“Karl, what are you doing here?” I asked shaking his hand.
“I got some word about so business that went down I figured you would want to know about.” He explained.
“Ok, but not here. Let’s go back to my office.”

Adams POV
I sat in the corner of the small room Chuck had showed me to. It has a couch on one of the walls, and a pole in the middle. The corner I was in had a music player and a stool. I suppose I could have eaten in the couch, but who knew who had been on there before me.
Suddenly the door opened as a man stepped inside. He had on a tight fitting shirt to show off his muscles and some casual jeans. His arms were covered in tattoos, and his head had only a slight stubble on it. He was really hot. He flashed me a green card, letting me know he had paid. I stood from where I was, but before I could say anything he had stepped forward. His hands were tight on my hips, and his face close to mind.
“So.... your the new guy.”
I struggled a bit under his grasp, trying to pull myself away. “I’m sorry sir, but I have a no touch policy.” Not really but I was vary uncomfortably under his eyes. He acted as though he didn’t hear me as his head shifted.
“Not sure why Omega seems so fond of you though. Your nothing special.” His fingers dig into my hips, making me let out a small whimper. “Let’s see how long it takes for someone to save you...”
“Listen man, if your trying some role play shit or something it’s really not O-“
I was cut off as a hand gun was suddenly at my head. The safety off and his finger on the trigger. “That looks of fear never gets old.” He whispers as he slid the barrel of the gun down my face and under my chin, to inside my mouth. I was practically shaking when the door flew open.
From over the man I could see Matt, as well as a tall man with blond hair and a sincerity shirt. He also had a gun pointed at the man. The guy didn’t look away from me of pull the gun away as Matt spoke.
“Orton, get away from him.”
“So that important.” Was all the man said as he let go of my and pulled the gun away. He turned to the other two men, looking manly at the taller one. “Let me guess, you’ll escort me off the premises now?”
“Follow me.” The man said motioning to the open door. Orton stopped before he left and looked back at Matt. “One question, dose he know?” Matt said nothing making Orton smile. “Thanks for the night.” And he was gone.
Matt rushed over to me. “Are you ok? Fuck I am so sorry, we never should have let Orton in the building much less in a private room!” He exclaimed. He reached out and lightly moved my head to make sure I was fine.
“I’m ok, just a little surprised.” I mumbled pulling back a bit. He gave me a sympathetic look.
“Omega is aware of what happened, and will want to talk to you. Will you come with me?” I was about to follow him when I stoped. I looked down at myself, did I really want to go into my bosses office if I was dressed like this? “Don’t worry, your fine. You are working in a stop club, he won’t expect you in a three peace suit.”
I nodded and followed close behind him. I could hear the music from the front as we walked. The farther back I got the quieter it got, and the louder my heart raised. How was it that when I did I would stay out of Omegas way, that my first day I end up in his office?
We stopped in front of a door, and Matt turned to me. “I can tell your nervous, just calm down a bit. Kenny’s a pretty cool guy, and he just wants to address what happened tonight.” He said, though it really didn’t calm my nerves.
Matt opened the door and there were two men in there, and I recognize Omega immediately. “Adam page, please come in.”

Chapter Text
Kenny's POV
"So, what is this business you wanted to talk about?" I asked sitting down at my desk with Karl on the other side.
"You know me and Gallows are still on......ok turns with AJ. He met up with me a few nights ago, letting me know Hunter ordered a huge stock pile of guns and ammo. Like, enough to fill a wear house," He explained.
I scowled a bit at the thought of Styles. Someone I had called a brother, and had joined my enemy. It wasn't even the fact he left, it was what he told them.
"I know you don't like him, but he likes to keep me and Gallows in the loop. He has no idea that I'm even telling you this."
"So I'm guessing you aren't gonna help me much more then this?" I asked eyebrow raised. He sighed but nodded.
"I'm really sorry man, but I try not to burn bridges." Suddenly my door slammed open showing me Nick.
"Nick, were kinda in the middle of-"
"Orton pulled a gun on Adam." He stated making my eyes go wide.
"Is security in there?"
"Ya, Hager and Matt are there now. Matt is going to bring him in here after." He explained. I nodded quickly thanking him before he left.
I turned to the mirror on the side wall and straightened my tie a bit. When I looked back at Karl his eyes were wide. "What?"
"Adam, as in Page?" He asked hesitantly, and I understood why.
"Yes page. A friend of his asked for a job for him." I replied trying to keep my face neutral.
"Does he-"
"No, and I'm not saying anything. You should probably get going, Gallows is probably waiting."
"Do, do you mind if I stay. I haven't seen him since, you know."
"Fine, not a word about it though." I mumbled, and as I did there was a knock at the door. After a moment it opened and Matt stepped in followed by Adam. His hair was a bit longer, and in his face, and he was still in his performance outfit, but his eyes looked terrified. Suddenly I couldn't breath, I wasn't looking at a picture, but the real thing.
"I, um... Matt! Was Orton escorted off the premises?" I stuttered out turning my attention to Matt. I had caught a glimpse at Karl, and he didn't look to be doing much better. Hie eyes glued to Adam like he had seen a ghost.
"Yes, Hager saw that he was and severity all know not to allow him back in." Matt confirmed.
"Good good..... Um, Mr.Page! Please take a seat, Mr.Anderson was just leaving." I did looking over at Karl. He gave me a slight head nod as he turned away.
"I'll talk to you later omega."
"You too." I called out as Matt shut the door behind Karl so it was just the three of us. Adam had slowly slid into the chair in front of me making me look to him.
"Now, I would like to personally apologize for what happened. I take great pride in not only being the most popular club, but the safest for workers. Letting Orton I was a mistake on our part witch lead to you being put in danger."
"Oh, it's um, it's fine. I'm sure he wouldn't actually shot me." He stumbled out. His body was stiff and ridged, almost like he was trying to keep as much of his body off of the chair as possible.
"You don't know Orton." I mumbled more to myself. "Anyways, not only were you in danger, it's your first night. So, to make up for the problem you will get the rest of the night off and....." i paused a bit as I pulled open one of my desk drawer pulling out a fairly good size stack of cash. "Here is a few thousand. All though I'm sure this isn't nearly enough to make up for what happened." I held the cash out to him but be made no move to grab it.
"I-I can't possibly take that." He did shaking his head making me chuckle.
"I promise you Page, this is but a drop in my Ocean. Please take it." I assured him, setting it on the table and pushing it forward a bit to get it to him. It sat in front of him for a moment before he took it into his hands.
"Thank you." He whispered making me smile a bit.
"Your good to go. Go home or of you for any reason want to stick around we can get you free drinks for the night." I said nodding at him.
"I'll just, head home." He mumbled standing up. I watched as Matt opened the door for him and closed it once Adam was gone.
I closed my eyes a bit, laying my head on the table. "Kenny?"
"I didn't think it would be that hard." I whispered. I could feel my hands shaking as I took deep breaths. "Like, I knew it wouldn't be easy, but that was..."
"You have to tell him at some point. He's in danger now." My head flew up at that.
"What do you mean?"
"Randy knows damn well what he means, probably helped out the first time. We know almost nothing about him. No idea where he lives, who he hangs out with, or what he does with his time." He explained. "We probably put him in more danger letting him work here."
I sat for a moment before standing up. "Have my car pulled around Matt." I said walking towards the door. "And call that nice restaurant I sent you and your wife to earlier this year, I want a nice table ready for two."
"Wait why?"
"It's time I get to know Mr. Page I think."

Adams POV
I slowly made my way back towards the locker room, my hands shaking like crazy with the large sum of money in them. As I walked I noticed that the music was getting louder, so I must be getting closer. Omega office was quite a ways in the back.
Eventually I found it and pushed the door open, seeing Chuck sitting with his phone up. He was clearly video chatting with someone. I tried closing the door as quietly as I could, but Chuck looked up anyways.
"Babe, I'll call you back k?" He said waiting for a response then putting his phone down. "Hey man, you on break- WHOH! What Rich man did you have back there?" He asked staring at the cash in my hand.
"I-um, got this from Omega." I responded, still shocked myself. Chuck looked like I had just slapped him across the face.
"What! I-How?"
"Well, some guy was back there, and ended up pulling a gun on me. He gave me the night off and this." I explained walking over to grab my cloths and heading to the stalls to change.
"Damn man. Sorry that happened, all though I'm sure that money will help you catch up to those bills."
"Ya. Maybe get my rent or something caught up." I mumbled as I pulled my shirt on and came back out, throwing my bag over my shoulder.
"You gonna take that makeup off?" Chuck asked as I made my way to the door.
"Na, I'll do it when I get home. I'll see you tomorrow." I called back as I left. I made a beeline for the door but was stopped when a hand was on my back.
I froze up, and the person could tell as they pulled away. "Mr.Page? It's just me." I turned surprised by the voice to see Omega.
"Oh, um hey."
"Step out side with me?" He asked motioning to the door. I simply nodded as he walked forward with me trailing behind. Once outside the slight cool wether nipped at my neck even though it was Auguste. "I wanted to apologize once more. I really feel awful."
"I already told you it's fine." I said, hopping that would be the end of it. A black limo pulled up in front of us as he turned to look at me.
"I'm guessing you haven't eaten. Care to join me?" I get like it was a joke. Kenny Omega letting me go with him to get food? Ya right!
"Oh no. I'm fine really, I can eat at home-"
"Adam I insist." He said cutting me off. I was almost more surprised he called my Adam then that he wanted me to go to dinner with him. Hie blue eyes seemed to stare into my sole, and I had no real option but to go. We both got in the car, and we rode in silence.
I tried to rationalize it in my head as we drove. This was just his way of apologizing. I mean, I really could have died I guess. A few times I looked over at him, and caught him staring at me. Maybe I did something wrong? There are reports of Omega taking people 'out' when they upset him, but he wouldn't do it himself.
We slowed to a stop at a vary fancy looking restaurant with a long line out the front. As Kenny started to get out I reached into my bag to grab some of the money so I could pay, but he grabbed my wrist causing me to jump.
"Don't worry about that. I can pay plenty well." I simply nodded and followed him out. I was secretly happy I didn't have to pay. By the look of the building it would be expensive and, and would take a lot from what I could pay bills with.
As we walked up, Omega walked right past the line making me hesitate. He looked over his shoulder at me, making a 'come on' motion, witch was enough to make me keep walking. Once at the front we slipped in the door and were met by a man who rushed forward.
"Mr.Omega! We are honored to have you here tonight." He said quickly.
"Yes yes. Did you get the call on the table?" Kenny asked looking board.
"Of course! Let me show you to your table." He said quickly turning to lead the way. As we walked through the restaurant I felt extremely underdressed. Everyone in the restaurant were all dressed in nice suits and dresses, and I was wearing a plain tee shirt and jeans. "We got the private room ready. It has a nice view of the city, and a private waiter." The man explained.
There was a circular booth the faced a large window that allowed you to see the entire city. Omega slid into the booth, and I followed, all though I left a large amount of room between us. A man walked up setting a menu on the table.
"These are our drinks. We have 14 types of wine-"
"What are your whiskey chooses?" Omega asked cutting the man off.
"Um, we have Scotch, bourbon, Irish, and single pot still." The man named off quickly.
"Do you have Macallan 64?" Omega asked still looking at the man.
"I-um. That specific whiskey is in a personal clients reserved selection." The man stuttered out. Omega eyes hardened as he stared at the man.
"What's your name?"
"B-Brian." He stuttered out.
"Well Brian, are you Aware of who you work for?"
"The owner of the restaurant?" The man more asked then said.
"That May be what is says on your paperwork, but you work for me. Nothing happens unless I want it to. You can pay your bills because I let you. Do you understand?" Omega asked. His voice was dripping with threats, but his face was relaxed and casual, as if he was talking to an old friend.
"Is everything ok here?" The man who had greeted us at the door asked as he came walking over.
"Everything is great. I was simply trying to place an order for a glass of Macallan 64."
"Oh yes, a wonderful chose."
"But sir, that's in McMa-"
"If Mr. Omega wants a glass of whiskey for himself you will get it for him." He said eyes set strongly on the waiter.
"Oh the whiskey is not for me, it's for my friend. I'll simply have a glass of water." Omega said a large smile plastered on his face. The waiter simply nodded and made his way towards the back.
"I must apologize for him Mr. Omega. He's new, an-"
"Just make sure he understands who he's really working for. Now if we may..." he said gesturing between the two of us. The man nodded before leaving me and Omega alone.
"Sorry, didn't mean for that to take nearly as long as it did. Would think ordering drinks would be easier." He muttered rolling his eyes.
"No it's fine." I rushed out. His face seemed to soften just a bit as he watched me.
"You seem on edge Adam. Please relax, I invited you out for a nice night."
"I'm sorry, I'm a bit nervous. I can't recall ever being anywhere near somewhere this nice. Plus there are...... stories about you that float around." I explained, figuring it would be better to be honest.
"I suppose I understand that there are some not so flattering stories about me, all though I would never hurt you. Also we are in a private room with no one else around, I couldn't care less how your dressed." He explained. At the same time the man from earlier came out with the whiskey and water.
"Do you have any idea what you would like?" The waiter asked pulling out a note book.
"If you don't mind Adam, I figured a Nigirizushi plate for us both." Omega said taking a glance at me to see if that was alright. I was surprised he even did that since he simply ordered my drink earlier without asking, and it was his money.
"What every you want." I said quietly. The waiter nodded before leaving once again. My attention was pulled out the window, where the lights from the city looked amazing. Almost made me forget about the shit apartment I would have to go back to later tonight. Suddenly I get a hand on my face making me jump. The hand was pulled away quickly, as Omega looked surprised.
"Sorry! Didn't mean to scare you, I just, saw the scar." His voice got lowers near the end of his sentence as his and was at my face again. His fingers started at the right side of my lips and moved upwards towards my ear, then hairline where it disappeared under my hair. The scar was so light most would never see it. "Can I asked what happened?" He whispered.
"C-car accident." I said quickly, my eyes casting down a bit so I would have to look him in his face. "I was on my way from working escorts, when I got hit. The police found me on the sid did the road, car totaled and I was all tore up and burned. Any longer and I would have died." I explained, thinking back to when I woke up at the hospital, confused and alone, no idea of anything except my name.
"Is that why you stoped escorting?" He asked his hand pulling away finally.
"No, actually I went back it for a bit. I guess I was a natural, but a nurse I had gotten close with convinced me to finally stop and get a real job." I explained.
"The accident must have been awful for you and your family." He said shaking his head a bit.
"I don't even think they know. I lost a lot of my memories, and apparently I cut them off a while ago." I said shrugging a bit. We sat in silence for a moment before I reached down to take a sip from my drink. All though there was no way Omega could know, I loved whiskey, but ha donkey had the cheep stuff. As this hit my tongue I was surprised by how good it was.
Omega started laughing making me frown in confusion. "Sorry, you should have seen your face though. I'm gonna guess you like it?"
"Ya, how did you know I would like it?" I asked.
"Just a hunch." He mumbled a smile on his face.
About an hour later our plates were off to the side after eating and we were talking once again. He wanted to know my likes and dislikes. What my favorite color was, do I like any flowers. Favorite drink? Food? Place in the city? Everything. And.... I kinda liked it. He seemed genuinely interested in what I had to say.
Suddenly his phone rang making him look down. “Jus a moment.” He said answering it.
“Yes”................. “really?” ............... “no don’t, I need to talk to him first.” ............... “ya I can”.......... “just stay put”
“I must apologize, we were able to get an interview with a vary important person and I need to leave. I have a friend to pick me up, this will all be paid for, and you can have my car take you anywhere you like.” He explained as he stood up.
“And I’m sorry about what happened tonight with Randy. I hope this makes up for it.” And he was gone. I could feel the disappointment but I pushed it away. Obviously this was only to make up for what happened.
“Is there anything else I can get you?” The waiter asked making me look up at him.
“No, I was just leaving.” I said standing and walking away. Now that Omega was gone I could feel how tired I was. The events of the night catching up with me. Pulse the whiskey in my system wasn’t helping any. Once outside the driver from earlier was standing there.
“Hello mr Page. I’ve been instructed to take you where ever you like.” He explained.
“Will you take me to the Foxfirf apartment complex?” I asked as he nodded. I got in and the whole ride was a blur until I was finally home. I grabbed my bag and thanked the driver before going towards my apartment.
The building was ok, but the nice ones were saved for the more important people. The rest of us got old rundown ones that never got checked on. I unlocked the door and went in. The small one room apartment was just as messy as I left it, and the pile of bills caught my attention. I should sort through some of them and see what I could pay, but I was so tired. The money will still be there tomorrow anyways I told myself as I collapsed onto the mattress on the floor. The moment I closed my eyes I was out.

3rd person POV
“Oh it’s him all right. And Omega has a sharp eye on him. Sent his guys after me in about 10 seconds.” Randy said looking at the man in front of him.
“How did I not catch him living in my own damn apartments?” The man asked, his voice low and starchy.
“I’m more confused on how he not-“
“Trust me I’ll be talking to Reigns and Rollins. But we have another problem.”
“What?” Randy asked sounding tiered.
“Ambrose is gone, and no one seems to know were he is, but Moxley seems to have just popped up in the city again.”
“Fuck”

Kenny's POV
I waved my hand out as I saw Matt's car pull up. He unlocked it and let me in before driving once again. "What's the emergence?" He asked eyes jumping to me for a second as he pulled out into the road.
"We need to go to Jerichos." I said looking in the mirror, just see Adam get in the car I left him.
"Fuck him." Matt mumbled making me smile. Jericho has been working in our business almost his whole life, and he kinda 'retired' a few months ago. We payed a small fee so we could get information out of him seeing as he worked for Vince for a long time. "Why are we going to that assholes house anyway?"
"I got a call about someone who wants to talk to us." I explained.
"Who?"
"Ambrose." I felt the car jerk a bit as Matt likes over at me fully.
"Ambrose?!"
"Eyes on the road." I said motioning for him to look ahead.
"Hold on." He said pulling off to the side so he could look at me. "Your actual going to talk to Ambrose? Are you out of your fucking mind?"
"Jericho is a neutral zone. We already know he talks to others, but he said Ambrose is refusing to leave until he talks to me."
"Ya bu-"
"I'm talking to him Matt. You can leave as soon as we get there if you want, but I am going." I said cutting him off. "I'm not in the mood to argue." We sat silently in the car for a moment before he pulled into the road again. No matter how much control I have to Matt and Nick, I still was in charge, and he knew it.
We drove quietly for a few miles, before I spoke again. "A car accident."
"What?"
"He thinks he was in a car accident."
"Who- oh." He said realizing what I meant. "Are you gonna tell him the truth?" He asked.
"No."
"Kenny what do you mean no?" He asked genuinely surprised. "It's not really fair to him to keep something like this from him."
"Matt, what would you do if you thought Nick was dead, and it was your fault? You spend years wishing he would come back, and one day, you find him. But he doesn't know who you are, you can't talk to him like you do know. But he's there, he alive. You could tell him what happened, but then you just know he will be gone again, blame you, never want to talk to you again. Really lose him. Would you keep it a secret?"
"You can't be sure he will leave you Kenny."
"But can you be sure he won't? What I'm doing will make sure."
"But it's not being fair to him." Matt argued.
"I'm not loosing him again. Discussion over." I snapped felling myself get angry. That was the last thing ether of us said before we pulled up to Jerichos home. It was vary large, and in a gated community.
We pulled up to the house and I could see a pick up truck parked outside as well. “Before I got out I reached over and grabbed Matt’s arm.
“I’m sorry.”
“It’s ok. I understand it’s a delicate situation. Come on, we have a meeting to go to.” He said opening his door making me smile.
“I knew you would come.”
“Don’t sound so smug Omega. I’m just here to keep you in line.” He said glaring over at me making me laugh. We got up to the door and rang the bell. A young women answered .
“Can I help you?”
“Yes, my name is Omega, Jericho is expecting me.” I explained.
“Oh yes! Please follow me.” She said stepping out of the way for me to come in with Matt following behind. “Mr. Jericho has only told me to let a mr. Omega in. I’m afraid you can come.” She said stopping Matt.
“Jackson is my second in command, and he has plenty of merit to his name.” I explained.
“I- um don’t know the name Jackson- Listen I’m just trying to do my job and-“
“You heard of the Young Bucks?” I asked cutting her off, making her face go a bit white.
“I- of course.” She stubbled.
“Then you know about there years of experience, and your trying to keep one out right now.” I did getting closer to the girl until I was whispering in her ear.
“So I’m gonna say your gonna let him in. Yes?”
“I- Of course. I am so sorry for the mix up. If you’ll let me lead you to the parlor-“
“We can get there our selfs thank you vary much.” I said waving my hand to dismiss her. She scurried off quickly, and Matt glared are me.
“Stop using that title to get me and Nick places we shouldn’t be.”
“What? I’m not the one who made a name for myself by killing and looting.” I said shrugging. “Besides, you were coming with me no matter what. Now let’s go, we have a crazy man waiting for us.”
He didn’t stop glaring but followed behind me as I walked towards the parlor. The door was open, and I could hear Jerichos booming voice. As I entered I saw Jerichos back to me as he pored himself a drink, and the man of the hour leaning against the wall. He saw me immediately and straighten up, catching Jerichos attention.
“Omega! Nice of you to join us.” He said a hand slapping on my back. I gritted my teach so I wouldn’t say anything to offend him. “I see you brought one of your shadows. Not sure how he got in if I told Becca not to let anyone but you in.”
“I don’t come to meetings without one of them you know that Jericho.” I mumbled turning my attention to Ambrose. He looked much different then the last time I saw him. He had cut his hair much shorter then his old shaggy look, and looked to be a bit more muscular. “Hello Ambrose.”
“It’s not Ambrose.” He said walking a bit closer. “You will season the news tomorrow that Ambrose tragically died in a police shoot out.”
“Oh, what police in there right mind would fire at one of McMahons favorite?” I asked raising an eyes brow.
“Who knows”- he shrugged-“but the body will be so mangled the only evidence it was Ambrose will be a name tag.”
“Well then, who do I have the pleasure of talking to?”
“Jon Moxley.” He stated, his tongue sticking out to lick his bottom lip.
“Oh cut the shit you too. There are no cameras in here, speck normally.” Jericho whined.
“Fine, what do you want Mox. Last I heard you were making big bucks with those two friends of yours.” I asked. “What was it called? Shield?”
“I want protection.” He stated flatly.
I was bit confused by this. “I though Moxley likes to live a dangerous life?”
“Ya but my pregnant wife doesn’t.” I was taken back by that. Moxley a dad? An odd thing to think about.
“What are you getting protection from?”
“McMahon. I want out, I’m gonna be a dad. I have plenty of money, and I Need to be a good influence to my kid. Vince doesn’t let you out that easily, and he goes after loved ones of enemies. You got a twist of that years ago with they boy toy of yours, what was his name? The escor-“ suddenly I was across the room and had Moxley pushed up against the wall, a small knife I kept with me pushed up against his throat.
“A word about that incident will get your throat slit, understand?” I asked keeping my voice level. Moxley just chuckled.
“Fine, didn’t know that wound was still open.” I stepped back a bit letting him relax. “Listen, I want my wife and kid safe, you know the pain, and I don’t want them hurt.” I looked back at Matt who was staring at me. His eyes had understanding. His own wife and kids were at home in another state. His phone was probably going off in the car so the kids could say goodnight.
“I- I can’t give you protection for free, but we can work something out. Maybe you work for me for the months leading up to the baby. After we can talk about a new deal.” I explained thinking. “Doesn’t even have to be anything illegal. You can work bar tender at the club.” I suggested. He nodded his head a bit, and I could see relief in his eyes.
“Ill need your address, and I’ll send someone over in a few days to set up a security system, and I’ll bye the house across from you so we can watch. Come to the club tomorrow and we can get you started.” He reached forward and shook my hand.
“Thank you.” I could hear the pain in his words as he limped last me towards the door. “Sorry for the inconvenience Jericho.” He called out as Chris waved him off.
“Your fine. Send me some pictures of Renee and the baby.” He called before looking at me. “Oddly nice of you.” He muttered making me shrug.
“People who aren’t in our world don’t need to be involved in it.” I said. “Come on Matt, it’s almost 3.” I said looking down at my watch. The club closed at 4.
“Have a good day Jericho.” Matt said waving to Jericho as we left. As we walked towards our car his phone went off making him pull it out quickly.
“Hey babe!” I heard Matt’s wife say.
“Hey, how are you all?” He asked and I heard a Coris of voices answering. His 4 kids. “Sorry I didn’t answer earlier, me and Uncle Kenny were in a meeting.” When we got to the road I saw a taxi. ‘Go home. I’ll shut Down for the night.’ He mother making me nodded appreciatively.
I got in but told the driver I needed to make a pit stop. We slowed to a stop at a corner where a group of people were standing. I rolled down the window and a man walked up. “Can I help you?” He asked in a surprisingly low voice.
“What’s your name?” I asked looking him over. His hair was a bleach blond, and he was pretty small and frail.
“Darby.”
“Wanna come home with me tonight Darby?” I asked making him look at me.
“Depends on the price.”
I held up my wallet that had quite a bit of money in it. “More back at my place.” I said chuckling at the look on his face.
“I’ll do whatever you want.” He said getting in the cab with me.
“Ok, now to the original destination.” I told the driver as I pulled the small man into my lap. “I’m gonna have fun with you tonight.”

Chapter Text
Adam
"Page! Open the door!"
I groaned a bit as I forced my eyes open. My apartment was still dark, but I could see bits of sunlight creeping around the curtains in the window. "Come on Page!" I heard a voice say as the banging continued on my door.
"Give me a sec!" I called throwing my blankets off of me, and forcing myself to stand up. I quickly grabbed a pare of sweat pants to throw on and walked over to the door. Looking through the peep hole I saw Chuck, as well as his fiancé Trent. I pulled open the door glaring at the two.
"You know what time it is?" I asked angrily. Chuck pulled his phone out and looked back up at me.
"It noon." He said making my eyes go wide.
"Fuck!" I had to be at work in two hours. "Why the hell are you guys here then?" Chuck had to be there the same time as me, and Trent normally worked the night shift at the hospital so he should be sleeping.
"I got moved to a different shift so I was gonna take this one to work, figured we could give you a ride as well." Trent explained.
"That's real nice of you, but I didn't get home until late last night, and I just woke u-"
"Didn't you leave early though?" Chuck asked confused.
"I went to dinner ........... with omega." I added the last part making Chuck go wide eyed.
"You did what?"
"Just come in." I said opening the door more so the two of them could come in. I pushed some stuff out of the way so they could at least sit down on the two chairs at the small table. They had been over enough that I didn't have to worry about them caring about the mess.
"Ok, now explain." Trent said once I sat down on my mattress.
"Well, I was on my way out and he asked to talk to me again. We went outside and he apologized for what happened again -I assume Chuck told you- then a car drove up and he asked me to go to dinner."
"And you said yes?" Chuck asked surprised.
"What was I supposed to do?! Say no to one of the most powerful men in town? I think the fuck not." I said, "Besides, it was clearly just a way to say sorry."
"Where did you go?" Trent asked.
"Don't know the name. Some fancy place way up on some cliff, you could see the whole town from there." I explained remembering how gorgeous it looked.
"I've heard of that place. It's super expensive and nice." Trent said, seeming to know what I was talking about. "That's an odd place to take someone just to apologize."
"I'm not trying to look into it ok? I'm not about to piss him off ether, I need this job." I said standing up again. I need to shower quickly.
"It just sounds ....... odd." Trent said, making me groan and turn towards him.
"Your the one who convinced me not to escort anymore, so know I need another job, and this is the one I have. Leave it at that."
"The only reason I wanted you to stop was because I didn't want to see you in the hospital the way you were again." He argued making me role my eyes.
"I can get in a car crash at anytime. Escorting has nothing to do with it."
"Sure whatever." He mumbled making me sigh as I felt bad.
"I need to shower, but as always your welcome to stay. What's mine is yours, not that that's a lot."
I showered quickly and got dressed in just a tee shirt and jeans. I brushed my hair and pulled it back into a pony before I left the bathroom. Trent and Chuck were huddled around my table talking quietly and moving something.
"What are you doin?" I asked walking up behind them. I could now see that they had some of my bills out and that cash I had gotten was spread out in a few piles.
"I hope you didn't mind but we figured we could figure out some of your bills. I know Math isn't your strong suit." Chick said scratching his neck as though embarrassed.
"Na, I don't mind. You know I suck at that stuff. What have you got?" I asked looking down at the piles.
"Well we put some to the side so you could have some spending money, and we got pulled out enough to catch you up on your rent. The rest you'll need to look at, decide wether you want to got caught up on phone, water-"
"I need to get paying on my hospital bills." I said cutting Trent off. I could go without a phone, and I can always shower at some public place, but my bill to the hospital was growing. I had to pay for the time I was in a coma, the time I spent healing there, the surgery's, physical therapy, and have a personal nurse check on me for the first few months I was in my own again. If I didn't start paying soon it would go to debt collectors and they could start repossessing my stuff, and I could at some point end up in jail.
When I looked at Trent he nodded and handed me a wad of cash. "This will catch you up on your rent. Go pay now then I'll take you and Chuck to work." I nodded and slipped some shoes on and grabbed the bill so go.
"See you in a minute." I said slipping out the door. As I walked I passed a few people, a mom and her son, an old man, people like that. A few teens were out in the parking lot messing around, and I could see the two kids that lived in the apartment to my left playing with chalk with there babysitter. We all lived in these apartments because they were cheep, and we could normally hide out from the owned for a few months after we stopped paying, he was to busy with the important people who lived in the nicer apartments.
"What's up Adam?" I heard someone yell. I looked over my shoulder to see Scott Dawson and his friend Dash Wilder. They moved in to the nicer side of the apartment building about a month ago, and always seemed to be lurking around me(even though they didn't live anywhere near my apartment).
"Hey." I greeted, putting in a small smile.
"What are you up to?" Scott asked as they walked up to me.
"Just on my way to catch up a bit on rent." I said shrugging as I continued to walk. Both men kept up with me as they walked.
"You find another job yet?" Dash asked as we walked down a flight of stairs.
"Ya, just some basic retail." I lied. I didn't need it being spread everywhere that I was working at a strip club.
" that's good. Wanna get drinks with us tonight?" Scott asked as I walked up to the door of the office.
"I got something going on, maybe another time." I answered pushing the door open. Inside I saw a few guys in there. One was sitting behind a desk, with his hair up in a bun and he was writing on something. The second guy I recognize immediately. The guy from the club last night.
"I told you randy, I've got a girlfriend now." The guy with the bun said. Randy was leaning against the desk staring down at him.
"Come on Seth, it's just drinks not a date." Randy complained as 'Seth' rolled his eyes.
"I'm not gonna be your new pretty boy Orton" He snapped before he looked over at us. "Can I help you?" Randy's eyes moved to me as he smirked a bit and I pretended not to notice him.
"I just need to catch up a bit on my rent." I explained walking up to the desk.
"Ok, can I get your name and apartment number?"
"Adam page and 403." He looked down at a computer and started to type something and my eyes jumped over to Randy. He was standing in the corner and was talking to Dash and Scott. Randy looked up and caught my eyes making me look away.
"Ok, so what you have will completely catch you up." Seth explained as he started to writes something down.
"How long you been living here?" Orton asked slinking up to me.
"Almost a year." I said refusing to look over at him.
"I swear you look awfully familiar." He said stepping a bit closer. I finally turned and was not expecting to see him so close. "Have we met?"
"I don't think so." I mumbled. A phone went off as Orton reaches down and pulled out his phone.
"See ya Seth." He said as he ran out pulling the phone up to his face.
"Ignore Orton. I've only meet to people who could make him keep it in his pants." Seth said pulling my attention back to him. "Anyways here is your receipt, and I believe that's it." He said handing a peace of paper over.
"Thanks, have a good day." I said making my way to the door.
"You too Page."

Kenny
“Mr. Omega?” I heard a quiet voice as there was a knock at my door before it opened. I sat up a bit groggy. “Your breakfast is ready, and the man is in the dining room.” The man said before disappearing behind the door again.
“The man?” I wondered out loud as I stood up. When I looked down I saw my suit in a pile on the floor, and next to it was a leather jacket and boots. “Oh, that guy.”
I walked over and pulled on a robe not bothering to put on any clothes. I made my way down the hall and to the dining room. I found the thin man from last night sitting at the table eating a plate of food. He was redressed in his clothes from last night aside from the jacket and boots that were still on the ground in my room. The other side of the table had another plate as well as some papers for me to look over.
“Good morning.” I greeted him as I walked over to my seat. He nodded at me a bit before going back to his food. I sat down and began looking through some of the papers. Manly things for the club.
“Could you pay me? I would like to get out of here.” a voice said making me look up at the man- I think the name was Darby.
“Oh! Yes, give me a moment.” I said standing to grab some money. “$1500 sound good?” I asked looking over at him.
“That’s plenty.” He said standing up. I walked back over and handed him the money.
“Go to the front of the house and find a lady named Jessica. She will get you a car to take you where ever you want.” I explained. “And don’t forget you jacket and shoes.” I turned back to my seat about to sit before he spoke up again.
“Your not married or dating anyone right?” I turned back confused until I saw he was looking at a small picture of myself and Adam. “I feel he may not like me sleeping with you last night.”
“No, I’m completely single. However I would appreciate if you didn’t go looking at my things.” I said reaching over and pushing it down so he couldn’t see it.
“Sorry, just wanted to make sure I’m not gonna get the shit beat out of me.” He mumbled before walking off.
I sighed looking around the room a bit. I really needed to have people over that weren’t just here to sleep with me. “Mr.Omega?” I looked over to see someone walk in. “There’s someone on the phone, wants to speak with you.” She said holding the phone out. I grabbed it quickly and held it up.
“Hello Omega.” My eyes went wide at the voice. Triple H.
“What can I do for you Hunter?”
“I heard about Randy paying you a visit last night. Wanted to apologize for the inconvenience.” I rolled my eyes at what he was saying. Apologize my ass.
“How kind of you. Now do you just want to drop the act and tell my why your even talking to me.”
“I want to know why a dead man is employed at your club.” He stated. “I would also want to know if you would have any idea where Ambrose May be?”
“Well, as for Ambrose I believe I saw in the paper that he sadly passed. As for a dead man I have no idea what your talking about.”
“Your playing with fire Omega. Remember what happened last time.”
“I’m not a kid running around with his group of friends anymore. I have an empire now, and what happened then will not happen again. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some work to get done today.” I said licking my lips a bit.
“Watch your self omega.”
“Right back at you Hunter.”
Chapter 5: Chapter 5
Notes:
Hello! Just like some of my other story’s I’ve switched to a third person POV. I want to put that out now so you aren’t confused when you read❤️
Chapter Text
“Kenny? He’s here.” Nick said, sticking his head into Kenny’s office. Kenny was sat with Matt next to him as they looked at some sort of blueprint.
“Ok, bring him in. But knock before you open the door. We need to put everything away.” He said, making Nick nod before walking away.
Matt started putting things away as Kenny sat, messing with a silver bracelet on his left hand. “You ok Ken?” Matt asked, turning back to the man. He was surprised to see Kenny looking so nervous, when normally you could hardly read him.
“For the first time in a long time, I’m having second thoughts..” he mumbled, finally looking at Matt. “I’m bringing in a guy that worked almost side by side with McMahon, that may have had a hand in what happened to Adam, and giving him a job, protecting him.”
“Trust your instinct. If you think this is a good idea go with it. You don’t owe him anything, you could tell him to get the hell out if you wanted.” Matt said, taking a seat on the edge of the desk. When he looked down and saw Kenny’s wrist he frowned. “Or is something else going on?”
“The last time I was this unsure with something and went along with it anyways, I lost him. I just got him back, I can’t risk it again, Matt.” Kenny’s eyes seemed to be begging Matt for help.
“Well, we both know what Adam would tell you-.”
“If I can help I should.” Kenny finished, chuckling to himself. “I’m almost glad he never saw all the shit we did.”
“He would have supported you.” Matt Assured him, and immediately after a knock sounded at the door. Matt stood up quickly and moved to the right of Kenny, who straightened his jacket a bit before looking to the door.
“Come in!” He called folding his hands in front of him. Nick opened the door leading Moxley in, who already looked significantly different then the night before. His hair had been cut much shorter, and he was lacking the signature vest always seen on him.
“Nice to see you had time to go shopping.” Kenny said, causing Mox to roll his eyes.
“I’m hiding, remember?”
“Sit down.”
Mox took the only seat in front of the desk as Nick made his way behind Kenny as well, now on his left side.
“So what will I be doing?”
“I’ve….. added a bit to our deal-“
“Excuse me?” Mox snapped, raising an eyebrow at Kenny.
“Calm down, it's not like you're doing anything behind the scenes. Pulse you are in no position to argue.” Kenny reminded him.
“What do you need?”
Kenny smiled knowing he won before continuing. “Well, first you're going to go with Matt and Nick and spill your guts.”
“What do you mean?”
“You, along with Rollins and Reigns, were always right there with that family. What was it they called you guys? Their Shield?” Mox shifted a bit but didn’t stop him. “I’m sure you know plenty of secrets, I want them. Once that’s done you’ll be a janitor for the club, maybe a bartender if needed.”
“What about my wife?” He asked once Kenny was done.
“One of our tech guys will be setting up cameras tonight. He and his wife and kids will be moving in across from you to keep an eye on anything. It would be best if you got to know each other so if anyone is watching they won’t find it odd that he goes over there. His name is Brandon.”
“Fake friends with a man named Brandon. Easy enough.”
“And one more thing,” Kenny said standing up so he was above Mox. “If you turn on me in any way, you will face the consequences. I don’t take kindly to those who try to use me.”
Mox nodded understanding. He wasn’t new to the business, and understood the risk of working with Kenny.
“Good. Now you go with Matt and Nick so they can get some information. If it’s wrong you’ll be sorry.” Nick walked over to the door and opened it, letting Mox follow him out, while Matt followed behind.
Kenny watched as they left, even waiting a few minutes before he started to pull out the blueprints he had been looking at. Although he didn’t wait long enough before there was a banging at his door.
“Omega!” Cody yelled from the other side, not stopping the banging. Kenny sighed but decided not to put it away, Cody was close enough to see it.
“Come in Rhodes!” He called, and a second later the door flew open.
“Tell me I didn’t see who I think I saw walking with Matt and Nick?”
“I could, but I did say I wouldn’t lie to you when you started working for me.” Kenny said, sitting back in his chair watching Cody get progressively angrier. Cody opened his mouth a few times, trying to say something but not finding the words.
“Why?” He finally asked.
“Cody I-“
“Don’t pull that, bigger picture bull. I know damn well what he did, and that you’ve wanted his blood for years. And now you have him here, just walking around?” Kenny sighed, looking down at the paper in front of him.
“I’ll be straight with you Cody but only because you are aware of what happened.” He motioned for Cody to sit, which he did. “I don’t know if you watched the news this morning, but one of the biggest stories is probably that Dean Ambrose died in a police shoot out. Obviously no police officer wouldn’t be stupid enough to shot at one of McMahn’s men, but it gives him some time to lay low.”
“Why would he ever want to ‘lay low’?”
“Wife’s pregnant, he wants out.” Cody nodded, understanding.
“And no one just walks away from Vince.”
“Exactly. He just wants some protection. In exchange, he’s working for the club, as well as telling Matt and Nick everything he knows.” Kenny explained. “I know you don’t like it Cody, but sometimes we have to help our enemies. His wife and child are innocent, and don’t deserve what would come for pissing off Vince.”
Cody reaches up to rub his eyes a bit, obviously frustrated.
“Understood.” As Cody stood up Kenny reached out to grab his arm.
“We got some more information on your brother. It’s not much, but I just want to let you know we’re still looking.” Cody’s arms slid closed as he took a shaking breath.
“Thank you.” And with that he slipped out of the room.

Adam
“Thanks for the ride.” Adam said, slipping out of the back seat of Trents car.
“Ya, thanks babe.” Chuck said, giving Trent a quick kiss before getting out too.
“I’ll see you tomorrow!” He called out before driving away. The two men started towards a back door.
“It’s a lot closer to the locker rooms.” Chuck explained as they walked. “So, you think you're ready to go back in?”
“I guess.” Adam sighed, a bit hesitant after last night. “It’s not like I can afford to take the time off. Pulse it would look bad to take time off on your second day.” Chuck rolled his eyes at that.
“You had a gun pulled on you. Plus the boss took you out for dinner, I highly doubt he would be angry.”
“Ya, don’t go around saying that.” Adam said as they walked towards the locker room. On their way they passed Nick Jackson and some guy with a buzz haircut. As soon as they were spotted by the other men, buzz cut stopped, his eyes focusing on Adam.
“Damn, you're a sight for sore eyes.” Adam gave him an odd look, but before he could ask, Nick grabbed buzz cut and yanked him away.
“Who was that?” Chuck asked, both men watching the others run off.
“I have… No idea.”
“Well he knew you- Hey! Maybe he’s someone from before the accident!” Chuck practically yelled, making Adam shush him.
“Even if he is, I highly doubt he wants anything to do with me. No emergency contacts, remember?”
“I know but what I-“
“Stop. Please, just stop. I gave up on that life a while ago.” Chuck seemed to realize he was pushing too hard and backed off.
“Sorry man. Now come on, there’s bound to be some food in the locker room, and no way I’m letting Joey and Jim eat it all before we get there.”
—————————————
Kenny
“So? What did we get?” Kenny asked, not even looking up from his work when he heard the door open. The only two people who just walked in were Matt and Nick, so it was fine.
“We got the addresses to a few warehouses, along with passwords in, as well as the address of Stephanie and Hunter-“
“No Vince?” Kenny interrupted, typing something into his computer.
“No business is done there, everything is at Steph and Hunters. Also, we got some… interesting news on Tyler.”
Kenny stoped what he was doing and gave Matt a questioning look. “Tyler??”
“Oh! Um, Rollins.”
Kenny rolled his eyes so far back he was surprised he didn’t see his brain. Matt and Nick had a small group of friends they ran around with, and Rollins had been a part of it all those years ago. When he left to Vince they honestly thought he was going to come back out and join them.
“Don’t do that!” Matt complained. “Besides, how long did you wait for Styles to come back?”
“Not as long as you.” Kenny mumbled, finally giving Matt his full attention. “Now, what were-“
“We may need to talk to Moxley again.” Both men looked over to see Nick walk in.
“Why?” Kenny asked. This man has been here an hour and is already causing problems?
“He recognized Adam.” Kenny mentally slapped himself. How could he forget?
“Right! We should probably do that sooner rather than later. Where is he now?”
“Calling his wife to let her know the plan. Hager is with him.” Nick said, but Kenny knew better. If Moxley didn’t want to go with Hager, he wasn’t going to.
“Ok, we will call them back in. Then I can explain-“
“Nick.” We both stoped turning to look at Matt. “I haven’t told him.” Nick went pale when her heard that.
“Better tell him.”
“Tell me what?” Kenny demanded.
“Seth Rollins didn’t just join Vince, he’s continuing the family business.”
“You can’t possibly mean-“
“Yep.” Matt said, giving Kenny a knowing look. “Seth's parents are Stephanie and Hunter.”
———————————
“This is bull shit. We get the day to grieve, and then he calls us in!” Roman was pissed- actually pissed isn’t the word to describe it. He woke up this morning just like normal, in his shared apartment. He noticed Dean was gone, but pushed it aside figuring he went to his wife’s place.
When he got to Stephanie and Hunter’s place everyone he passed gave him pity looks, and he couldn’t for the life of himself figure out why.
Then Seth came and found him.
Then they had the meeting.
Then he found out his best friend was dead.
He argued for what had to be 20 minutes with Vince, there was no way he could have been killed. No one was stupid enough to shoot at one of them, and even if they did the three of them had bulletproof vest. Even dean wasn’t stupid enough to stand in the middle of gun fire.
Apparently he was. They brought the body in from the morgue, it was all the same. Even the tattoo all three of them shared.
Vince has decided to give Seth and himself the day off. No jobs, no Errands, just a day to grieve. Roman had no energy but to walk back to the apartment and cry for his falling brother. He didn’t know if dean's wife knew, he hadn’t had the chance to call his own kids and break the news. Uncle dean was dead.
And yet, here he was, ready for whatever Vince wanted. At least Roman looked presentable, Seth on the other hand was a mess. He was only wearing sweatpants, no shirt, and his eyes were bloodshot.
“I’m sure whatever it is is important.” Seth mumbled, biting his lip. Honestly, how hard was it to throw a shirt on and come downstairs?
“Boys! Thank you so much for coming back in!” They both looked up to see Vince open his office door. “Please come in.” All three men shuffled back into the room, and waited for Vince to say something.
“I do apologize for calling you back, I know today has been rough.”
“Does Renee know?” Roman asked, cutting the man off.
“What?”
“Dean's wife. Did you tell her about what happened?!” Roman snapped. He really should be watching himself, but damn it! Instead of scolding Roman, Vince just chuckled.
“I’m sure she saw it on TV this morning, but I hardly think it matters. I’m sure he was safe in bed with her last night. Probably kissed her goodbye today. Hell! They probably watched the news together!”
“What are you talking about?” Seth asked, speaking for the first time.
“What I mean is, while Dean Ambrose is ‘dead’ to say, Jon Moxley is still very much alive.”
“No.” Roman stated, shaking his head. “Jon Moxley ran drugs for people and got into unnecessary fights. Besides, even if you did hear that name plenty of people have used it since he dropped it.”
“Really Roman? Weren’t you the one fighting me on this earlier?” Vince asked, making Roman angrier.
“Ya but why would he do something like this?” Seth asked.
“Well, when you want out, a fake death isn’t too bad.”
“Why would he want out? He's part of the trusted few.” Roman asked, now curious to see where it goes.
“Well, becoming a father might help.”
“Did you go to Mysterio with this defense yet? Because it’s really weak.” Roman pointed out, causing Vince to shrug.
“Did he have the dog tags on?” This causes Roman to pause. Him, Seth, and Dean all wore dog tags wherever they went.
“He wasn’t.” Seth mumbled, putting it together as well.
“Fine, say he did fake it, where would he be hiding?” Roman asked.
“Well, I have a pretty good guess.”
“What is it?” Roman asked, getting Annoyed.
“I think you both should pay a visit to his wife. If I’m right he’s watching the place.”
“Who?” Seth asked.
“Omega.”
Chapter 6: When they meet
Summary:
The first time Matt and Nick meet Kenny
Chapter Text
“Omega!”
“What?” Kenny called back, eyes not leaving the monitor in front of him. A chat room of people he was convincing that they should invest into a project. Not that it actually existed.
“Kenny!”
“What?!” He snapped back, typing a response when his door flew open.
“The hell are you doing?” Karl asked, looking over Kenny’s shoulder. He reached a hand out towards the keyboard, but was quickly smacked away.
“Don’t touch that.” Karl just rolled his eyes and sat down on the bed next to Kenny.
“You didn’t answer me.”
“Getting this month's rent, now what do you want?” Kenny asked, Balt turning to look at Karl.
“For you to get out of the house from midnight to 1.” Kenny’s eyes went wide with surprise.
“You know that’s a busy time on the chat rooms, I need to be on.” Kenny explained but Karl just shook his head.
“We have a client tonight.”
“So I’ll stay in here? Just like normal.” Kenny dismissed him, standing up and walking out of the room.
“Wait- Kenny!” Karl chased after Kenny as he walked into the kitchen where Gallows was opening a box.
“Hey Ken.”
“Hey man.” Kenny greeted, grabbing a glass from the Cupboard.
“Doc, he’s not listening!” Karl complained, coming into the room as well.
“I have shit to do Karl. I’m here all the time when you do business.”
“Kenny, you don’t understand. Our clients want it to be just us, and we can’t afford to piss them off.” Gallows said, but Kenny just rolled his eyes.
“I highly doubt there’s anyone that important buying guns from you too.”
“First off, we are the most popular dark web gun salesmen in this area-“
“Maybe in this town.” Kenny mumbled, getting a glare from Karl.
“-and if we get this sale our names will be everywhere.”
“Ok fine, I’ll play along. Who are these great buyers?” Kenny asked, watching Karl’s eyes light up at getting to explain.
“The young Bucks.”
Kenny froze with his glass half way to his mouth, raising an eyebrow.
“The two assassins?”
“The brothers? Ya!”
“And how the hell would you even get in contact with them?” Kenny asked.
“So, Apparently they’ve been hiding out in Australia, but they started running around with some guys while there, and decided to come back to America. Guess who one of those guys are.” Karl explained.
“Who?”
“Finn. And Finn put them into contact with AJ, who then told them the best place to get guns was me and Karl.” Gallows finished, both men clearly excited about the sale.
“And if we are the ones supplying them, our names will be everywhere.” Karl said, but Kenny rolled his eyes.
“You both better have aliases or fake names. Anyways, what are you selling?” Kenny asked, walking over to look in the box. He frowned, seeing what was in there.
“How much are you charging?”
“About $2,500 a piece.” Karl said, which made Kenny Frown more.
“I may not know much about guns, but I know these aren’t worth nearly that much- you aren’t actually thinking about screwing these guys over are you?” When Karl didn't say anything Kenny shook his head in disbelief. “Fuck, I know I won’t be anywhere near here tonight. You realize they could kill you both in your sleep right?”
“It’s fine! They don’t have anywhere else to buy right now, and we have to capitalize.” Karl argued.
“You're going to get your brains blown out.”
“Have some faith Ken.” Gallows said. Kenny sat back, watching the two men work. He sat up suddenly, as an idea starting to form in his head.
“I’m going to finish up some work before I leave tonight.” Kenny called out while jogging towards his room.
—————————————————————
“These are shit.” A voice said as two shapes stood on top of a building.
“That’s why we’re here.” The other voice said, setting something up.
“Nick, I really don’t think we’re going to get the shot. The scoop in this doesn’t work.”
“We’ll get close, and it’s not like they will go to the hospital. Are they going to tell them two guys shot them because they sold them fucked up illegal guns?”
“Fine. Let’s get this over with.”
“I really don’t think that’s a good idea.”
Both men spun around pointing their guns at Kenny.
“The hell are you?” The man with lighter hair asked, flinging hovering over the trigger.
“Calm down.” Kenny said, quickly putting his hands up. “I’m Kenny Omega, aka the roommate of the men you want to kill. Honestly I wouldn’t mind too much. Gallows can’t remember to pick his clothes up, and Karl doesn’t know what personal space is. But you know, got to pay rent so-“
“Ok, what do you want?” The dark haired one asked, both lowering their guns.
“Matt, right?” Kenny asked, pointing at the light haired one. “And Nick? I have to say, I'm a huge fan. One accidental kill in defense, and you turn into the best Assassins I’ve ever seen!” Both brothers glanced at each other, trying to figure out the bright blond curly haired man in front of them.
“Anyways, I heard you guys just got back to America. And I’ve done some digging-“
“Digging?” Nick asked.
“Ya, online. Anyways, I wanted to offer you a job opportunity.”
“Why would we take a job from you?” Matt asked, and Kenny quickly took his phone out pulling something up.
“If you have to take a phone into someone’s house you really should either get burners, or get better security. The virus I added took zero time to take effect.” Kenny explained. “See this button? If I put in a number and push it, it will take that much money out of your account.”
“There is no way you could possibly do that without touching our phone.” Nick argued, but Kenny just grinded at him.
“The moment you stepped into the reach of my computer system I had complete access. Should I prove it?” Kenny asked, pulling the phone down and typing something. “Let’s start with $200?”
After a moment Nick grabbed his own phone when it went off. He looked down and saw $200 pulled from an account.
“You really think we put all our money in one account? Or that we even put all our money in any account? Keep digging Blondie.”
“You wounded me Nicolas, although that really was more just for me to show off. You will be more interested in this.” Next Kenny pulled out a small flash drive. “This baby holds so many beautiful secrets.”
“What do you mean?” Matt asked, eyeing the blue flash drive.
“It took me a while, but I figured there was something good. Want to know what I found?” Both men said nothing so he continued. “I’ll take that as a yes. Nick, I found out you have a pregnant fiancé hiding in Australia.” Nicks eyes darkened as Kenny spoke.
“And Matt, I know you’re hiding some scars in your chest. An underground top surgeon, and Testosterone were really easy to track.”
“Ok, so you have information on us. Now what do you do if we try to kill you?” Nick asked, both men close to snapping at the man.
“You would probably get away with it. I have a handgun with me, but I’m really not a great shot. I also have a knife, but I doubt you will close enough for me to stab you. You have all the moves, but I have one more thing that would probably get you to help me.”
“And what’s that?” Matt asked.
“Well, I heard a friend of yours, Tyler, left you all. I happen to know where he is.” Kenny said, shrugging.
“And where’s that?” Nick asked, his eyes narrowing.
“There’s a man, Vince McMahon. He basically controls the next town over. I happen to know Tyler, or what he now goes by Seth, started working with two other guys.”
“So what do you want from it?”
“I want Vince McMahon’s head and control over his land. I just… can’t do it myself.” Kenny admitted.
“So why do you want the help of two people you don’t know? You have two boys down there that you trust.” Matt said, pointing towards the building.
“Karl and Gallows are great, but they won’t ever give up the business by being only loyal to one person. They wont rat me out, but they sure won’t rat anyone else out.”
“We would be losing business too.” Matt commented.
“Ya but you wouldn’t mind. You want out of this always running and hiding shit. Nick you want to settle down with your Fiancé, and Matt there is a girl you keep chatting with from New York that I’m sure you would love to go see. Also, revenge is in the mix.”
“We don’t do revenge.” Nick snapped, shouting that idea down.
“Hey, I’m just saying. McMahon falls and you’ve got Tyler at your mercy.”
“We don’t kill for revenge.”
“Ok! I get it. But come on, your guys, the few I’ve collected, we would have at least some man power. I’ve also got blackmail on some bigger politicians and such. I really think we could do this.”
“And if we say no?” Matt asked, and Kenny just shrugged.
“You have complete control. I suck with guns and you’re two of the best shots in the world.”
All three men stood, watching each other before Matt shook his head.
“He’s good at this.”
“Which is exactly what we need.” Nick finished, stepping towards Kenny. “We’re in.”
Kenny’s smile grew as he licked his lips a bit. “This is the start of something great. Now come on, I saw the piece of shit hotel you're staying in, and even my apartment is better than it.”
“We better get some better guns then what your friends gave us.” Matt commented, making Kenny laugh.
“You can have whatever guns you want.”
Chapter Text
Kenny
“Hey Ken!” Matt called as he walked into Kenny’s office. Said man was sat with a few maps laide out in front of him, and he had some pens scattered around him. Not that he was paying any attention to it, his eyes were glued to the computer screen, which he turned off as soon as Matt Walked in.
“That’s a little creepy.”
“What is?” Kenny asked, looking over at Matt, who was now sitting across from Kenny.
“You are watching him.”
“I’m not watching him.” Kenny snapped, rolling his eyes. Matt said nothing as he leaned forward and pressed a button, causing the picture to come back on. It was the Security footage of Adam working.
“I’m just going through all the videos.”
“Right, I’m sure that’s what it is.” Matt responded, sitting back. “Why don’t you just talk to him? Maybe ask him to hang out.”
“No.” Kenny said, not even willing to think about it.
“Why? You're clearly miserable knowing he’s here.”
“I can’t Matt. There is no way I can just go back to being friends.” Kenny said, sitting back fully to look at Matt. “And even if I wanted to ask him out, he would either say no to keep it professional, or he would say yes in fear of being fired. I don’t want this to be rebuilt on something like that.”
“Then what do you want Kenny?” Matt asked, slowly getting angry.
“You know what I want Matt.”
“You will never get that back Kenny. Adam is a different person, just like you.”
“I know.”
“Then stop moping around!” Matt snapped, his patience wavering. “You have shit to do. Not only the club to run, but the whole gang. You have deals to make, people to talk to, and all you’ve done since you got that damn picture of him you’ve neglected all of it! Me and Nick have tried to keep everything running, but at some point you have to take responsibility.”
Kenny’s eyes faced down words a bit at Matt’s words, but he knew Matt was right. He needed to man up or leave Adam alone.
“I know.”
“Good. Adam goes on break in a few minutes, go talk to him.”
Adam
Adam watched as the man stumbled his way out of the room. Adam has recognized him as a regular when he was escorting. He had stumbled in piss drunk and Had hardly paid Adam crap.
“Jesus.” Adam mumbled looking in the mirror, fixing his outfit a bit. He had about 30 minutes until they would let anyone know else in, so he figured he would head to the locker room, grab a water, and head back.
He started to walk to the door when there was a light knock, followed by the door opening. A head of black and gray curls popping into the room.
“Hey Adam, you mind if I come in?”
“Oh! I mean, ya. Of course.” Adam said, hands sliding down to cover some of himself.
“I hope I’m not interrupting, I was hoping to catch you during your break.” Omega said, walking fully into the room.
“Just barely. Last guy just left for the next half hour.” Adam explained, motioning to the door.
“That’s good. Look, I’ve been watching you-“ Imega caught what he was saying, realizing how creep it sounded. “Not that I watch you! That would be weird, but I- I um. Well…” Omega was blushing a bit, a clear contrast to his aviators.
“Shit! I sound like a creep.” He mumbled, scratching the back of his neck.
“It’s fine.” Adam rushed out, causing Omega to chuckle.
“That’s, one of the reasons I wanted to talk.” Omega pulled his aviators off so Adam could see his eyes. “I um, really enjoyed last night. The dinner part.”
“I’m really sorry if I overstepped-“
“Adam you're fine, I invited you.” He said, shutting him down immediately. “I just wanted to say that I had a really good time. And I wanted to see if you wanted to, maybe do it again.” Omega looked surprisingly nervous, and Adam had to do a double take to make sure he heard him correctly.
“I’m sorry, did you say, I mean did you, well-“
“Yes Adam, I’m trying to ask you out.” Omega confirmed, not that he looked all that confident about it himself.
“I’m… not sure I’m understanding. I mean, you’re my boss, and I just, I don’t know.” Omega's face fell a bit at the answer.
“How about a deal.” Omega offered. “You let me take you out, and if you're not into it, I’ll leave you alone. We can act like it didn’t happen, and you can continue to work here. Nothing bad will happen.”
Adam thought for a moment, unsure of what to say. Anyone would admit Omega was attractive, and Adam definitely wouldn’t mind getting to know him in a normal situation, but this wasn’t a normal situation. This was his boss asking him out on a date.
“If I decided I’m not into it, there is no repercussions?”
“Exactly. One date is all I ask.” Omega confirmed.
“Ok, just one.” Omega's face lit up when he said that, and like a reaction Adam smiled a bit too.
“In the information you gave us when you started working is your phone number. I’ll let you know when and where to meet me.” He explained. Before either man could say anything else there was a sharp knock on the door. It slid open to show Nick Jackson.
“Hangman.” He nodded at Adam before looking at Omega. “We need to steal you for a minute.”
Omega nodded before looking at Adam again. “I’ll see you this weekend.” And then they were gone.
Adam backed up a bit until he was against a wall, letting himself slid down to the ground. “I’m going on a date with Kenny fucking Omega.”
Kenny
“What’s so important?” Kenny asked as he walked with Nick down the hall.
“Brandon’s on the line. Something’s happening at Mox’s house.” Kenny Speed up at that, and as he got to the room Moxley was waiting outside looking pissed.
“Omega!” He snapped as soon as he saw Kenny. “What the hell is happening?! I get told somethings wrong at my house, where my pregnant wife is! And I’m not being told what!”
“Give me a minute, I haven’t even been told what’s happening. When I know the situation I will tell you right away.” Kenny assured before him and Nick disappeared into the room. Matt was pacing, a phone up to his ear as he spoke.
“He just got here.” Matt said before handing the phone to Kenny. Kenny set the phone on the table and pressed the speaker button.
“Talk to me Cutler.”
“We’ve got a real problem. I was getting ready to head over to the house to set up the security system, and as I was about to leave a car pulled up. It’s a light blue 1969 Chevy Nova with what looks like a silver falcon on it? Pretty cool-“
“Brandon, the problem?” Nick asked, cutting him off.
“Right! Anyways two guys got out and went inside. I was able to get a picture of them and ran a facial recognition and you won’t belive who it was.”
“Who?”
“Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. And they quite clearly had guns. If I were to guess, I would say it’s not a visit to mourn their friend.”
“Son of a bitch.” Kenny cursed. “We will be right over, don’t engage unless they try to leave.”
“Got it.” Kenny hung up after that, turning to the two brothers.
“Get your stuff. Me, you guys, and Moxley are going over there.”
“Is it a good idea to bring Mox?” Nick questioned as he pulled out a few handguns.
“Moxley knows the house. Our main priority is to keep Renee safe, so we need to approach with caution.”
“I get that, but it’s also his wife. It may cause emotions he’s not ready for.” Nick argued.
Kenny ignored Nick, and opened the door to look at Moxley.
“Do you have a quiet entrance to your house?”
“Ya, I’ve got the back door with a lock, and a few side doors-“
“No.” Kenny cut him off. “We need something only you would know about. The people who are there would know about those places.”
“Who’s there?” He asked, eyes frowning.
“Your ‘brothers’”
——————
“This way.” Moxley whispered, all four men walking behind the house, them all being careful of the windows of the house. When they had first got there Moxley had Confirmed it was Seth's car.
“Right here.” He said, stopping the other men to pull a plank off of the deck. Underneath was the door to a cellar. “Not even the guys know about it. Once you get in the cellar you have to use this key I have, and it opens up behind some old painting Renee likes.” He explained. “And if I know those two, they will try to get her comfortable before any threats are made.”
“Are you sure you're good for this Mox? We might have to do something you don’t want to do.” Kenny asked.
“I don’t care who they are, if they threaten my wife I will do what I have to.” He said before pulling the door open. All four men climbed into the dark cellar, Moxley leading. He got to the small door and unlocked it. He glanced back at the other men, and they all pulled their guns out.
The door opened into a small hallway, where they all stepped as quietly as they could. At that point Kenny took over leading. ‘Check every room’ he mouthed before they started walking through the house.
It didn’t take long for them to work their way into the kitchen, which was separated from the living room by a wall.
“Come on Renee, you’ve got to know where he is.” A male voice said. Kenny looked at Moxley who mouthed ‘Roman’.
“I already told you, I don’t know what you're talking about. Please, I am mourning the loss of my husband-“
“Renee!” Roman practically yelled, slamming his hand in the wall. Mox started to move but Matt grabbed his arm, shaking his head.
“Roman, give her some space man-“
“Seth, she knows where he is. I’m tired of playing.” With that Roman pulled a gun, which caused all four of the other men to spring into action. They all pulled their guns out and ran into the room. I’m a flash Matt and Jon had guns pointed at Seth, and Kenny and Nick had guns pointed at Roman. Roman and Seth both had their guns out as well.
“Renee, get out of here.” Kenny said, eyes locked in Reigns.
“Well, guess Vince was right.” Roman growled, his own eyes in Moxley.
“Renee, go across the street. Cutler will help you.” Matt said, causing Renee to finally leave.
“You and your wife are dead men.” Roman snapped at Mox.
“Reigns, put the gun down. Not only are you two on four, but two of those people are the best shots in America, Maybe even the world.” Kenny tried, but Roman just chuckled.
“This gun is not leaving my hands.”
Kenny went to say something, but Moxley cut him off, turning to Seth. “Seth, put the gun down and we can talk. You know the only way you're leaving here alive is by talking.”
“Dean…” Seth looked a mess. He was nicely dressed, but that was the extent of it. His eyes were bloodshot and swollen, and his hair looked a mess.
“I’m right here.” Mox assured, but Seth shook his head.
“You let us believe you were dead.”
“I never wanted to, but I didn’t have a choice. I want to be there for my future child. You know he wouldn’t let me leave.”
“You don’t know that Dean!” Seth yelled.
“Yes I do.” Mox shot back. “Seth they have a grip on everyone, hell, your a grown adult and Steph and Hunter treat you like a child.”
“Don’t talk about them.”
“Stop defending them. They treat you like shit, even I can see it.”
“Shut up!” Roman snapped, trying to get Moxley to stop. Moxley slowly lowered his gun, getting a worried look from Kenny.
“Seth, I won’t shoot you, but I can’t say the same for them. Please, put the gun down and let’s talk.”
“I won’t betray them!” Seth snapped, shaking like a leaf. “Not like you did.”
“I never talked to Omega before yesterday. I just needed my wife to be safe. And anyways, how many times did they betray you?”
“Seth, don’t listen to him.” Roman tried again, but Seth and Dean were in their own little world.
“Seth, they would leave you out to dry as a child, and kicked you out at 18. When you went back they didn’t even give you a high rank, instead stuck you with me and Roman. Hell, they have you working at an apartment complex! They don’t care about you Seth.” Moxley pleaded.
“They will kill me if I don’t stand my ground.” Seth whispered, eyes bouncing between everyone.
“Not if you help us. I promise, Omega will keep you and Becky safe. But you have to put the gun down.” Moxley assured him. Seth took a moment to watch everyone before bending down slowly, and setting the gun down, and putting his hands up. Matt rushed forward and grabbed Seth, holding his hands behind him.
“The fuck Rollins!?” Roman yelled. He had his gun focused between Kenny and Moxley.
“Roman, we’re outnumbered.”
“Vince doesn’t give a damn about that! We were to find Dean, that’s it!”
“Roman-“
“Don’t!” He snapped at Moxley. “Don’t try talking me down like Seth. I won’t jeopardize my standing with Vince. If I have to die so my family is taken care of then so be it.”
“Safe? Roman, your family has been used by Vince for years. What do you think will happen to your kids? Your boys will fell they have to join, and do you really think he will overlook jojo?” Moxley asked.
“Don’t talk about my kids. I still have to call and tell them uncle Dean is dead. I cried for you, begged for it to not be true.”
“I’m sorry, but I’m protecting my family. Do you want your kids to end up like you? You've told me, your dad killed in a shootout, all your cousins in the business, you only saw one way. Give your kids a chance to chose!”
“By joining him?!” He chuckled, looking at Kenny. “He knows what he did, I’m sure he wants us dead.”
“We didn’t kill him Roman.” Moxley said, causing Roman to frown for a second.
“What?”
“Page didn’t die, he got to the hospital and was saved. Please, Omega may not be our biggest fans, but he won’t kill us.”
“Reign, if you help me, you have my word, you and your family will be safe.” Kenny promised. “And when we are done, you're welcome to leave.”
Roman continued to watch them all, and Kenny started to think they would really have to shoot him, but he practically threw the gun to the ground. “I’m trusting you Dean.” He mumbled, hands going up as Nick approached him.
He searched for other weapons, and pulled out another gun and a few knives, but that was it. Seth was also cleared off all weapons, and everyone else put their guns away.
“Well, we need to talk before you leave. We need an alibi for what happened today, plus the start of a plan.” Kenny said.
“Plan for what?” Seth asked, Earning a smirk form Kenny.
“How to complete take down Vince McMahon

Kenny
“So what do you need from us?” Seth asked, all the men were sitting in Moxley’s kitchen.
“The most important thing is to start taking the group apart peace by peace.” Matt explained. “If there is anyone you think would be likely to turn on Vince, start with them. All you need is one loss string, and the entire thing will come crumbling down.”
“People don’t just go around talking about if they hate Vince or not-“ Roman was cut off by Seth quickly.
“Finn Balor.”
Kenny raised an eyebrow at him surprised. “Balor? Didn’t he become Hunters prodigy or sorts?”
“Not recently. He got a new group of younger guys to train, barely thinks about Balor anymore.” Seth explained.
“Who are the new guys?”
“Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly, and Roderick Strong. If I’m being honest, I’d say they were training to be our replacements.” Roman said. “They really are uptight assholes, and they get on Balor's nerves every chance they can.”
“Balor used to be pretty close to us, and he’s still close to Gallows and Anderson. I’d say he’s a good start.” Nick said, looking at Kenny.
“Can he be useful at getting others?”
“I would think so. Sami and Kevin are pretty fed up with Vince at times too, and being close to Balor could yank them out. From there, you could probably get a few more people. Cesario, Shinskay, Becky. And if you get Becky you would have an army of women ready to follow her.” Seth said.
“So it sounds like you start working on Finn. But I feel I need to make this very clear, you can’t say something until you are sure he will help. If he finds out and tells Vince, we lose our Element of surprise.” Kenny stressed. This whole thing was riding on if Seth and Roman could keep things from getting out.
“We can handle that Omega. We’re the family’s right hand for a reason.” Roman rolled his eyes. “More important, I think we need some form of an alibi-“
“You got here and Renee was hysterical.” Jon said. “If I’m still alive I couldn’t have possibly told her. Also-“ Jon reached into his pocket and tossed his dog tags to Roman. “Renee found these this morning. Vince knows I’m alive, that ship has already sailed, but if he thinks Renee has no idea she can be left out of it.” Roman looked over the dog tags before sighing.
“He’s gonna keep digging.”
“Let him. He’ll drive himself crazy trying to figure out the plan.” Omega said.
“He figured it out the first time.” Roman challenge. Kenny’s eyes fixed on Roman’s, keeping his voice low.
“That was because Styles is a backstabbing asshole that I should have never trusted. Luckily that mistake won’t happen again.”
Roman just put his hands up in Surrender, and stood up. “If that’s all, me and Seth really do need to leave soon.”
“Actually, there is one more thing.” Kenny added, remembering his promise. “I need some information On where Dustin Rhodes is.”
Roman snorted a laugh, giving Kenny a confused look. “Cody’s Brother? He’s in some nice beach house, just like every other guy that served his time for Vince. I mean, if you don’t even know details about that then-“
“No he’s not Roman.” Seth cut him off.
“What are you talking about? Vince had us escort him there personally.”
“We brought him to the first stop, then he went to another house.” Seth turned so he was more talking to Kenny. “Some guys are living pretty great life’s. Shawn Michaels and Steve Austin are living the dream. But people who piss Vince are ‘gotten rid of’”
“What did he do?” Matt asked.
“He attacked Orton. And I mean physically, like beat the shit out of him.” All the men’s eyes went wide at the revile. No one touched Orton, everyone knew that.
“Why would he do something stupid like that?” Roman asked.
“It was when Randy and Cody were together. Randy was an absolute bitch to Cody, and eventually it turned physical. Dustin flipped, and beat the shit out of the guy that was beating his brother. I’m pretty sure half the reason Cody left was to get away from Orton.”
For the first time all evening every man was silent.
“Do you know where he is?”
“I can find out.” Seth offered, making Kenny nod.
“Ok. I’ll talk with gallows and Anderson, and they will bring you a small phone. It will only send messages to us, and we will know if you give it to someone else.” Seth and Roman both nodded as they stood up.
“Is that it?”
“For now.” Kenny confirmed. “We thank you for Cooperating”
“Like we had a choice.” Roman mumbled before walking towards the door. “Come on Seth. We’ve got places to be!”
Seth nodded a goodbye before following Roman out the door. “Do you actually think they won’t tell anyone?” Matt asked as they all watched the car pull away.
“Seth won’t, and Roman won’t if Seth won’t let him.” Moxley said

Adam
“Adam!” Trent called out through the door. Adam jogged lightly over and opened the door seeing Chuck and Trent, as well as Jim Cassidy. “I hope it was ok we brought Cassidy, he’s staying at our place and didn’t want to be left alone-“
“What was the emergency?” Chuck asked, cutting his boyfriend off.
“I have a date-“
“That’s it?” Chuck asked, but Adam just shook his head.
“You didn’t let me finish. I have a date… with Kenny Omega.” All three men just stared at Adam.
“Shit.” Cassidy whispered.
“I think that’s a little Excessive-“
“Are you out of your mind!” Chuck yelled, grabbing Adam by the shoulders and shaking his a bit.
“Chuck-“
“No Trent. He needs to hear this. Adam, you are a stupid, stupid man!” He picked Adam as he said stupid.
“Chuck, I get that you’re upset, but let’s take it inside-“ Adam tried but Chuck just slapped him across the face.
“Chuck!” Both Cassidy and Trent yelled, pulling Chuck back a bit. Adam stood with his hand covering his cheek.
“Adam?” All four men looked over to see Adam’s neighbor with her kids standing outside their door. “Are you all ok?”
“Um.. ya. I’m really sorry Mrs.Jackson. Just, and argument with a couple of friends from work.” Adma apologized. The woman nodded unsure as she started towards the stairs with the kids.
“Adam-“
“All three of you, inside. Now.”
“That’s fair.” Trent mumbled, all three of them going inside with Adam following behind.
“Ok, you are now in my humble- mediocre apartment. I called you because I need your help, not for you to be judgemental.”
“I’m sorry I slapped you-“
“And screamed like a maniac.” Trent added.
“I’m surprised that lady didn’t call the police.” Cassidy said.
“Ok, ok. But Adam, you just told us you're going on a date with our boss. A man who.. has a history.”
“I get that Chuck, but I really like him. And I didn’t realize I had as much fun as I did when we got dinner, and I don’t want to mess this up. He’s the only person I’ve liked that I can remember.”
All three men just stared at Adma who let out a sigh as he sat down with his face in his hands.
“I’m a grown ass man, why do I sound like a middle schooler?”
“Because you're nervous, and you want him to like you.” Trent said, sitting across from him. “Is your job in danger if you don’t go out with him?”
“No, he said if I don’t like it we can pretend it didn’t happen.”
“Good. Now, what do you need help with?”
“It’s stupid but, I have no idea what to wear.” Adam confessed. “I’m a broke stripper who wore sweatpants when we went to dinner. And Kenny is a Rich business, what should I wear?”
The three men all frowned at his request. “Ok, does anyone know anyone who knows clothing?” Chuck asked, looking between the other two.
“I could call Kris.” Cassidy offered.
“Cassidy that’s… actually kinda perfect.” Trent said, grabbing for his phone.
“Who’s Kris?” Adam asked as Trent dialed a number on his phone.
“A friend. Trust me, she will know what to do.” Chuck assured him.

Kenny
Kenny looked in the mirror as he straightened his suit jacket.
“Kenny!”
“I’m here Matt!” He called back, frowning in the mirror.
“Kenny, what did you need us for- Oh you can’t possibly wear that.” Kenny looked up to see Matt and Nick in the doorway.
“Why? Don said it looked good.”
“Ok first off, you really should never listen to Don.” Nick started.
“Second of all, that’s the same suit you wore on th3 last dinner date you took Adam on, before everything.” Matt finished. “But also back to what Nick said, you should never listen to Don.”
“First off, cool it with the Don stuff. But I like this suit-“
“Kenny, where are you taking him?”Matt asked.
“Rose park.”
“You’ve got to be kidding me.” Nick said, making Kenny throw his hands up.
“It’s the first place I thought of. And a picnic is an adorable date.”
Matt sighed and walked towards Kenny. “Ok, for a date like that you need to wear just pants and a tee shirt.”
“What if he’s expecting me to be Kenny Omega the business man?”
“For whatever reason, Adam fell in love with the Kenny Omega who was living in a 2 bedroom apartment with 7 other people, and had no power but still wanted to take down Vince. And I have a feeling that whatever Adam was forced to go through didn’t change that part of him.” Matt said. “Now, we need to talk about what security you will have-“
“No.”
“I told you to just do it.” Nick said, making Matt role his eyes.
“I thought he would be an adult about it.”
“Matt, I don’t want security on my date.” Kenny argued.
“Kenny you’re one of the most powerful people in the city-“
“I don’t want Adam to see them there.”
“I’ve already thought of that.” Matt explained. “SCU would follow from a distance, just to make sure neither of you are murdered.”
“Matt-“
“Kenny, I promise we won’t let him see them, but you have to be safe.” The two of them stared at each other for a moment before Kenny nodded. “Ok?”
“Ok.” Kenny sighed, making Matt smile. “You want to stay for dinner?”
“What’s for dinner?” Nick asked, all three of them walking out of the room.
“Stakes, and those little potatoes you like-“
“Kenny!” They all looked over to See Don walking towards them. “Matt, Nick! Are you staying too?”
“You know, we have a lot of stuff to do.”
“Wife’s gonna call soon.”
“Really tired.”
“Don’t worry boys. Kenny is finally getting out there again, so we can celebrate him finally getting over that boy from years ago.”
Both Matt and Nick frowned as Don laughed, patting Kenny. “I’ll see you later.” He called finally walking away.
“Does Don not know..?” Nick asked, looking down the way Don left.
“Don never liked Adam, so for now I’m just keeping it on the down low.”
“Kenny…”
“I’ll tell him.” Kenny promised.
“Ok, we’re leaving .” Nick said before they turned to leave.
“Eventually.”
“What did you say!?” Matt yelled, turning to look at him, but Kenny was already walking away. “How could someone so stupid have made it so far?” Nick mumbled, shaking his head.
Chapter 9
Notes:
I feel the need to give some information before this chapter. In this I’ve written Matt as Trans(if you don’t like just don’t read), it was referenced a bit in the flash back chapter, but not much. Because of this I’ve written Matt and his wife as have had adopted their kids. It’s only talked about for a second, but if I wrote something wrong please don’t hesitate to tell me and I will change it!

Chapter Text
Kenny
“Are you sure you want to drive?” Nick asked, walking alongside Kenny.
“Yes.” Kenny mumbled, rolling his eyes at the brother. “I think Adam will be more comfortable if I drive my own car.”
“Just making sure. So Franki and Scorpio will trail you guys, and Christopher is already at the park. They will stay back, so Adam won’t see them unless he’s actively looking for them.”
“Perfect.” They both stopped at a car and Kenny pulled out a pair of keys. “I meant to ask, did Matt leave to visit Dana and the kids?”
“Left last night, he wanted to make it to Jessica’s dance recital. Oh, and you’ll probably get an email from an adoption agency, just use the normal lies. Business partners and bull shit like that.”
“Are they adopting again?”
Nick just shrugged. “Matt always wanted a big family.”
“Already got four, I can’t imagine having that many.”
“Probably best you don’t have any.” Nick said, causing Kenny to look offended.
“I would make a wonderful dad.”
“Is that before or after you spend all day at a strip club?”
“I don’t know, did you get your wife pregnant before or after you stopped killing people for money?”
“ Touché.” Nick mumbled, opening the door for Kenny to get in. “Please stay out of trouble, without Matt I’ll have to clean it up myself.”
“You could always ask Cody to help. He does know what he’s doing.”
“I’ll ask Cody for help when I’m dead.” Nick scoffed before closing the door once Kenny was settled.
Kenny just chuckled, watching Nick walk away. The bucks act like they hate Cody, but they would help him if they needed to.
Kenny reached into his pocket to pull out his phone, and pulled up the messages from Adam. It was fairly basic, a confirmation on the day and where to pick him up. Obviously he could have asked the driver from the week before where he had dropped Adam off, but Kenny was trying not to seem too creepy.
As he drove towards his destination Kenny could feel himself start to panic. Anything could go wrong, and he really didn’t want to mess up.
“Come on Omega, you’re better than this. You’ve planned the best you could, he’ll love it.” He mumbled to himself. He was Kenny god damn Omega! He could take a guy on a date for fucks sake.
As Kenny pulled up to the apartment building, he felt his blood run cold. He had to have the wrong address, what were even the chances? Yet there it was in front of him, Adam was leaning against a pull near the parking lot, the parking lot of one of the few apartments owned by Vince.
“Son of a bitch…” Kenny mumbled pulling up to where Adam was. Hopefully it would be in and out, nice and quick.
Adam walked forward, pulling open the door, a large smile on his face. “Um, hey?” He waved a bit, shifting from one foot to the other. He had on some worn jeans, and a tucked in tee shirt. Kenny let his eyes wander to Adam’s arms, which he could see quite well.
“Hi. Um, let’s go.” Kenny choked out, smiling back at him. Adam got in, shifting a bit in the seat as Kenny drove away. “How are you today?”
“Um, good… I’m really sorry, I’m kinda nervous.” Adam chuckled.
“Don’t be, today should be… fun.”
“You sound really sure about that.”
“Well, I’ve been told I can be kinda uptight at work.” Kenny chuckled at Adam’s comment. “And by told I mean I’m reminded by Matt constantly.”
They both sat in silence, but this time it felt calm. Not nearly as suffocating as it had been.
“Here we are.” Kenny mumbled pulling into a parking spot. “Welcome to Rose park.” In front of them was a huge park, and set up in it was a large fair. “Once a year they have a big fair, I thought it would be fun.”
“I don’t think I’ve ever been, sounds exciting.” Adam said, watching the scene in front of him. Plenty of people were walking around together, looking at everything.
Both men got out, Kenny walking to the back. “I uh, brought a picnic.” He said, holding up the basket he had. “The food here really sucks and is super over priced.”
“Whatever you have planned is great.” Adam said.
“Ok, let go.” Kenny said, walking back up to Adam. The two walked towards the event together. As they walked Kenny noticed Adam’s eyes seemed to be all over at once. He couldn’t help but smile, watching Adam guac at everything. Kenny looked away for a second, he saw an older couple together, a group of teenagers, a man with his kids-
He quickly looked over his shoulder, trying to find the man he had just seen. Was it..? No, definitely not- but he couldn’t see him again.
Kenny sighed, turning back to Adam. “Hey,” Adam looked to Kenny when he called out. “I know where we should go.” Adam followed behind Him as he led him through the crowd to the far end of the park, where a small gazebo sat.
“Wow…” Adam whispered, looking at the scene in front of him.
“What do you think?” Kenny asked nervously.
“Oh my god- yes, it’s gorgeous.” He chuckled looking back at Kenny.
“Well, let’s go.”
~~~
“So you lived in Japan for how long?” Adam asked, sitting across from Kenny on the ground.
“6 years.” Kenny said, nodding his head. “I still like to go back a few times a year.”
“Wow, I don’t think I’ve ever been out of America. What’s it like?” Adam brought a grape up to his mouth.
“Oh you’d love it, it’s beautiful. Especially in the spring. God, I loved it.” Kenny chuckled.
“What were you doing in Japan, like did you go over for work or..?”
“Oh, I um- I was doing some small computer work, odd jobs for people.”
“Really?” Adam asked, surprised.
“That so surprising?” Kenny asked, making Adam blush a bit.
“I didn’t mean it like that! I just, can’t really see you as anything other than this. A big business man.” He explained, motioning at Kenny a bit making Kenny laugh.
“I didn’t think you did. I wasn’t a ‘big business man’ until maybe three years ago? And before that I didn’t have my own place for a while. At one point I was living with 7 people in a two room apartment.”
“Oh my god.” Adam mumbled, shaking his head. “I would probably go crazy if I did that.”
“I’m pretty sure our lease said we should only have three people in it-“ Kenny cut himself off when he saw a man walk behind a small building.
“You ok?” Adam asked, drawing Kenny’s attention back to him.
“Oh, ya. Um, I just need to run to the bathroom.” He assured him standing up. He walked towards the building, and once he was out of Adam’s eyes shot, he reached under his shirt to set his hand in the gun there.
Once he got there he took a deep breath and pulled the gun out, stepping behind the building. He had his gun pointed right in the face of a man. “Hello Styles.”
“Last names? That’s cold Kenny.” AJ said, a smirk on his face.
“You have a lot of nerve being here.”
“Why? Because Adam’s here? Get over yourself, I’m here with my wife and kids.”
“So you’re telling me you haven’t been tailing us?” Kenny asked, rolling his eyes.
“You showed up to Vince’s apartment and didn’t expect to get followed?”
“I figured If Vince valued you he would send someone else.”
“Oh come on Kenny, you're going to shoot me in the park?” AJ asked.
“I would prefer to kill you as long and painful as possible, but I would settle for a Bullet to your head if I have to.” Kenny shrugged.
“I don’t think you will.”
“Oh really?” Kenny chuckled but AJ cut him off.
“No you’re not. You’ve waited too damn long to get Adam back and you wouldn’t risk it all in the idea that you could kill me.” Kenny stared at AJ for a moment before pulling his gun down. “Told you.”
“Leave now.” Kenny mumbled, ignoring that last comment. “Or I’ll have you killed as you're walking towards your car.”
“Done.” AJ said, turning to walk away. “Oh! And one more thing! You better try and find a new arms dealer. I know damn well you have a plan brewing, and my boys won’t be a part of it.”
“They’re independent, Vince can’t tell them what to do.”
“Ya but when it comes down to you or me, they will choose me.” And with that, he walked away.
Kenny took a deep breath trying to calm himself. He had the chance, and he didn’t take it. God, was he an idiot?
When he was finally calm he walked back over to where Adam was. As he turned the corner his eyes went wide to see Frankie talking with Adam.
“Kenny!” Frankie yelled, waving at the man. Kenny put in a smile and walked up.
“ Kazarian, what are you doing here?” He asked, approaching the two.
“Oh, I saw you and Adam earlier and I had to meet the boss's date.” He shrugged. “And lucky I did, he’s pretty cool.”
“Ya, he is.” Kenny said. “Adam, I wanted to take you to one more place before it gets too dark. I just so happen to need to let Kazarian know something about work, so could you start cleaning up and I’ll be there in a sec?”
“Ya, don’t worry about it.” Adam said, allowing for Kenny to grab Franki by the arm, dragging him away.
“What the hell are you doing?” Kenny whisper yelled once they were far enough away.
“I didn’t want to, but we say Styles, and just wanted to make sure everything was ok, and when we saw you follow him we wanted a way to get Adam out of danger if necessary.”
Kenny sighed, running his hand over his face. “Don't. Ever. Ignore. An. Order. Again.” He snapped, quickly taking a breath. “But given the circumstances, we will just forget about it.”
“Deal, and we will be out of the way for the rest of the night.”
“You better.” He mumbled, before walking away. When he got back to Adam he was surprised to see almost everything packed up.
“I told you I would help.” Kenny jokes, watching Adam’s face turn red again.
“I figured I could, you were dealing with work.” Adam shrugged, picking the basket up. “Ready?”
“Ya, come on.” Kenny motioned for Adam to follow. The park was still quite busy, and with the sun going down strings of lights were turning on. The two were walking side by side when a young child ran into Adam. Instinctively, Kenny grabbed Adam to hold him up, and the kid was quick to apologize.
“I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to hit you-“
“Hey, you’re good. Don’t worry about it.” Adam assured the kid, letting him run off.
“You ok?” Kenny asked. Adam didn’t respond, and seemed to be looking down a bit. When Kenny looked down he saw their hands intertwined together. “Oh, um sorry.” He mumbled letting go.
“Oh, no. You're fine, and so am I. The kid was small, and wouldn't have done too much damage.” Adam joked, laughing awkwardly.
“Good, cause I didn’t think they let people who are hurt on.”
“On what?” Adam asked, confused, but Kenny pointed behind him. When Adam turned he saw a Ferris wheel that had been visible when they got there.
“Want to ride?”
The two of them got on pretty quick with the short line, and got in their seats. As it went up they both seemed to be trying to stay on ‘their side’ the best they could. As luck would have it, they stopped when they were right at the top, giving them a good view of the city.
“Wow, that is beautiful…” Adma mumbled looking at the view.
“Really is.” Kenny whispered, watching Adam. Adams' eyes were scanning the area all around them, watching the different people out and about.
When Adma turned back, he let out a small shout at how close they were. “Um. Hi.” He gulped.
“Hi.”
They continued to stare for a moment, and Kenny could feel himself lean forward a bit, watching Adam’s eyes flicker down to his lips. Just before they could get any closer, the ferris wheel moved again, jolting them.
“Shit.” Kenny mumbled trying to steady there car. “You ok?”
“Ya, ya I’m good.” Adam mumbled.
The ride wasn’t too long, and they were in the car and driving Adam back in no time. Once at the apartments, Kenny decided to take the chance to get out, opening the door for Adam.
“I know it was probably a little awkward, but I really had fun tonight.” Kenny explained, rubbing his neck. “And I hope you would consider doing it again.”
“I would love that.” Adam admitted, making Kenny smile. They continued to stand there for a moment, before Adam reached up, pulling Kenny in slowly for a kiss, giving him the time to pull away. Not that he wanted one. Adam's hands held Kenny's face, while his own went to Adam’s hips, pulling him closer. Kenny tilted his head down a bit, as he continued to kiss Adam. Eventually Adam pulled away, taking in deep breaths of air, but neither man moved.
“I would probably go inside.” Adam mumbled.
“Probably.” Kenny confirmed, still not moving.
“You have to let go for me to leave.”
“You first.” Kenny mumbled back, letting his forehead rest on Adam’s. After a few more minutes Kenny did let go. “I’ll call you, ok?”
“I look forward to it.” And with that Adam left Kenny standing alone in the parking lot. He quickly slid back into the car, leaving. As he drove he felt a smile growing in his face, the kind a middle schooler would get after their first kiss. Not that he minded one bit.
I finished this at 3 in the morning because I got started and couldn’t sleep until I finished 😅
Chapter 10
Summary:
Slightly shorter then my normal chapters but I hope you like it anyways
Chapter Text
Nick rubbed his eyes, looking over at the clock next to him, 12:00 shown back at him. He should go back to his apartment and get some sleep, but Matt wouldn’t be there and he would be alone. Not that Kenny’s place was all that better, it just led to him working more than he gets paid to, and having to deal with Don half the night.
“Jackson.” Nick turned to look at the speaker on the desk where the voice is coming from.
“Talk to me Colt.” He mumbled, yawning half way through.
“Omega’s back. Figured I’d give you a heads up.” Colt answered before going quiet. Nick stood up slowly, stretching his neck a bit. Hopefully the night had gone well, and Kenny wouldn’t chew him out too badly for not taking his night off. Nick made his way through the large house, trying to be silent. He couldn’t for the life of him figure out why Kenny had Bought such a huge house, the only reason it wasn’t empty all the time was because the staff who took care of the damn thing. He eventually made his way to the door to the garage, and pulled it open as Kenny pulled up. Kenny got out, and Nick waved a bit.
“How was it?”
Kenny ignored him,pushing past Nick quickly. Nick quickly followed after him, worried for his friend. “Ken, man! What are you doing?” Nick finally grabbed Kenny’s shoulder, turning him around. He couldn’t read the expression on Kenny’s face, which caused him to panic a bit. “Ken, did something happen?”
“I could have killed him…” he mumbled, almost starring past Nick, not quite looking at him.
“Who?”
“Styles. He was there and I could have killed him, but I didn’t. I let him walk. Nick, I had a gun to his head, and I didn’t pull.”
“He was there?” Nick asked. “Where was Christopher? Or Franki-“
“Franki went to Adam while I was talking to Styles, made sure if something happened he could get him out of harms way. I- why didn’t I do it? I may never get that chance again!” Kenny was pissed. With AJ, and himself. That much was clear.
“You need to calm down for a second. You made the right call, and you will get your chance.” Nick promised, his hands resting on Kenny’s shoulders. “Now, how was the date?”
Even though he was angry, his face couldn’t help but turn into a smile at Nick’s question.
“He’s still the sweetest person I have ever met.”
“That good?” Nick chuckled. Kenny blushed a bit under Nick's gaze, thinking about what had gone down while outside the apartment.
He opened his mouth to say something when he felt a small vibration in his pocket. He frowned a bit pulling out the small flip phone, and opened it. His eyes went wide as he read the text, making Nick give him a confused look.
“We need to get to the club.”
“Why?” Nick followed behind Kenny, who was on his way out the same door he had come in just a few minutes ago.
“Rollins just said he’s there.”
Cody leaned against the wall, staring directly at Seth. Seth seemed extremely calm, lounging on the chair, lazily watching Cody. While the two men stared at each other the door to the room opened and someone stepped in.
“Lee, go call Omega-“
“No need.” Seth cut him off, making Cody scowl at him.
“Excuse me?”
“I already told him.” He shrugged. Cody walked forward and reached down to grip Seth’s hair, jerking his head up.
“You told him?”
“Ya, look in my pocket. There will be a flip phone he gave me when he got me and Reigns to help.”
Cody couldn’t help the laugh that came out of his mouth as he released Seth, taking a few steps back. “Now that's funny.”
“See for yourself.” Seth reached into the pocket and pulled out a flip phone, holding it out for Cody to take. Which he did slowly. Once it was in his hands Cody opened it and found only one contact, and a simple message Seth had sent.
‘Go to your club. I’m there’
“Why the hell would Omega ever trust you two?” He asked. “You tried to kill Adam, all I’ve heard Kenny talk about was how many different ways he wanted to kill you.”
“Don’t act like your hands are clean Cody. And what are the chances he would let you work for him if he knew the whole story? Have you even told him what it was exactly you did for Vince?” Seth was calm, and seemed to know exactly what to say to get Cody to act up.
“I worked in finances, exactly like I told him.”
“Maybe, but you also were really great at finding anyone Vince wanted. I remember the meeting we had, you telling us exactly where Adam was so we could take care of him-“
“I never laid a hand on Adam!” Cody snapped, he paced the room a bit, his anger seemed to rope off of him. “Anything I did was to keep me safe, I’m not at fault for what happened to him.”
“Will Omega see it that way?”
In a flash Cody had his gun out, pointed directly at Seth. “You know, if I told Omega that you attacked me he would probably forgive me if I killed you.”
“I also know you won’t pull that trigger. You aren’t like your dad or brother, you never liked killing. Hell, the one guy you did shoot you couldn't even go in for the kill.” Cody’s breath was the only thing either could hear, but he simply put the gun away to walk to the opposite wall next to the door.
If looks could kill, Seth would have been a dead man with the look Cody was giving him.
“He’s alive.”
“Who? Adam?”
Seth shook his head, taking a deep breath. “No. Your brother.”
“What?”
“He’s alive. I don’t know where yet, but Omega asked me to look into it.”
Cody rubbed his face almost unsure if he could ask about it. “He-he’s ok?”
Seth hesitated, debating on what to say. “I don’t know much about how he is, but I know Vince didn’t have him killed.”
Before Cody could say anything the door swung open making both men jump. Kenny came barging into the room, immediately stomping up to Seth.
“You better have a damn good reason for taking the risk of coming here.” Seth stood to meet him.
“They frisked me when I got here-“
“Fucking good.” Kenny cut him off, making Seth roll his eyes.
“As I was saying. They frisked me and took a white envelope, look at it.”
Kenny looked over at Cody who walked over to a small tray and grabbed the envelope. He tossed it to Kenny who opened it and pulled out a picture.
“Fuck.” Kenny was looking at a picture of Adam getting into Kenny’s car. “You were there?”
“I didn’t take the photo, but ya I was there. I own that group of apartments.”
“You own them?”
“Half of them are housing units for people that work for Vince, and the other half are mine. They tend to go to low income people.” Seth explained. “Dash and Scott took the picture, they like to walk through that area.”
“Hold on a second,” Cody cut in. “How is it you own the place, but didn’t know Adam was alive?”
Kenny’s face contorted into one of realization, while Seth’s went sheet white.
“It’s not-“
“Why would you let a man who was supposed to be dead live there?”
“When I said low income I meant it Omega. Some of the people who live there are up to 6 months behind in rent. Vary rarely do I keep close track of the people who live there, plus it wouldn’t be me who sees the names, that’s my assistant.”
“And who’s that?”
“Buddy, some kid. Had no connections to this world, Kinda fell into it. I’m supposed to be teaching him the general rules of this life.”
“Is that what you're doing?” Kenny asked, busy Seth shook his head. “Why?”
“He’s not made for this. He- he’s the sweetest person I’ve ever spoken to. He can’t bring himself to kill a fly, how can I make him kill a person? So I put him on a normal job, we’ve done it before.” Seth’s eyes jumped to Cody, but it was almost to quick for Kenny. Almost.
“So what do we do?” Cody asked, looking at Kenny.
“How much danger do you think he’s in?”
“Well, considering Dash and Scott have cozied up to him, Styles is hanging around every once in a while, and Orton lives there- oh! And the pictures of him with you, I would say not all that safe.” Seth explained. “I’ll probably get orders to keep an eye on him.”
“That’s what I’m gonna tell you as well. If we play it right, we can get him to move out. After a few weeks of working here he will have enough to get a different place.” Kenny thought out loud. He looked back over at Seth, seemingly trying to figure out exactly what to do.
“Rhodes, call someone in to walk him out. And just a reminder Seth, if you stab me in the back I’ll pull out the blade and stab you right back.
Chapter Text
“Coffee!” Sami called out, carrying a to-go cup of coffee along with a drink carrier. Keven followed behind with another drink carrier, and the two of them set them down on the table. Finn and AJ had been at the table and quickly grabbed their drinks, and Matt and Nick followed not far behind before walking back over to sit on the floor where they were cleaning some of their guns. Keven and Sami were quick to claim the couch to play whatever video game they had put in, and Kenny watched it all from the side. To be honest, he was getting tired of the constant people being around him.
“I’ll take these to Gallows and Anderson.” He called out grabbing the remaining drinks and heading into the one room off limits to the other people living in the small apartment. It had a bed the three men took turns sleeping on, and Kenny’s computer set up. Karl was sat on the ground in his phone and gallows was passed out on the bed. “Keven and Sami went and got this for us.” He said handing it over to Karl.
“Thanks. Hey, we’ve been wanting to talk to you.” Kenny gave him a questioning look but sat in his computer chair. “So, me and Gallows have been thinking, and we don’t really think it would be best to continue living here-“
“What?!” Kenny was surprised by this. Ya, he didn’t always get along with the two men, but he still thought they were friends. Gallows made a noise but the other two men ignored him.
“It’s just, we can’t put all our eggs in one basket. As much as we would love to see you become as powerful as McMahon, we can’t risk our other business. We’ll still supply you guys, but we can’t only work with you.” Karl explained. Kenny sat back in the chair, rubbing his face. Of course he probably should have seen this coming, he knew they would never be willing to only work with one group.
“How soon are you leaving?”
“We can move into the new place tomorrow.”
“Tomorrow?” Clearly they had been planning this for a while. “Does anyone else know?”
“AJ. No one else though.” Kenny nodded, letting the information set in. The only bright side he could find was that there would be more room in the cramped apartment.
“Well, I guess you're leaving.” Kenny stood, glancing at the sleeping gallows. “I’ll let everyone else know. Just give me your keys before leaving.” He walked towards the door and out of the room before Karl could say anything else.
Finn and Styles had made their way into the living room, so everyone was gathered in there. ‘Might as well have a talk now’ Kenny thought walking into the room as well.
“Ok guys. Let’s have a talk.” He suggested, pulling everyone’s attention to him. “So, Gallows and Anderson are moving out.”
“What!?” Finn looked at Kenny with almost anger. “Are they still working with us?”
“They're still willing to supply us, but they aren’t willing to pledge their loyalty to only us.”
“So we just let them leave? You realize me and Nick let very few people know who we are right?” Matt asked, Nick looking equally upset. If Kenny was being honest, everyone except AJ looked pissed.
“What would you rather we do? Want to kill them? They made it clear their intentions when I first started, I should have been expecting this. The only real problem is the loss of the money they bring in.”
“I should be able to cover that for at least a few months. A new shipment is coming in, and it’s good stuff.” Keven offered.
“Good. Now let’s got to more important business-“
“Some bullshit…” Finn mumbled, but Kenny ignored the man.
“I’ve learned who one of Vince’s men in government is. A guy named Pual Hayman,”
“He’s an FBI agent right?” Sami asked.
“Ya, a real bastard too. He’s been known to sell information to the highest bidder, and there are rumors he helped Lesnar break out of prison.” Kenny explained.
“Any screen names we would know him by?” Nick asked, but Kenny shook his head.
“He uses empty profiles on everything, and luckily he’s awful at technology so it was surprisingly easy to find some of them.”
“So what are you wanting to do? Get him arrested?” Sami raised an eyebrow at the man.
“I want dirt on him, maybe filter some of the info Vince gets. Hayman is particularly about his image, you fuck with that you fuck with him. He’s been on a few illegal websites, orders Prostitutes a lot, and recently he’s seen one guy quite a lot. Screen name, Hangman.” Kenny explained. “I’ve started a back and forth with Hangman, and I’m planning on meeting up tomorrow night.”
“You know Ken, if you needed a hookup you just had to tell us.” AJ snickered. Kenny was quick to grab some random plastic cup next to him, throwing it at the man.
“Jesus! I’m joking, man.” He laughed along with the rest of the guys while Kenny playfully glared at him.
“Anyways,” he continued. “I’m going to need Matt to come with me. I don’t want a bunch of people, but I need someone to at least watch my back.”
“What if he doesn’t want to talk to you? Money is already tight, it’s not like you can pay him.” Nick questioned.
“Talking is really just going to be a distraction. I’ll essentially do the same thing I did with you guys. My phone will download a virus on his, letting me track him, and once it’s near any other electronics I can move it to them. I’ll be able to get whatever info he has.”
“So where are you meeting?” Kevin asked.
“A hotel in the town over. I’m Vince’s area.”
———————
John: I’ll be there in a few minutes. Which room is it?
Kenny sent the message while watching the hotel. He had yet to see the blond haired man from the pictures online, but he may have showed up before Kenny had.
Hangman: 304.
With that Kenny got out of the car, making sure he had his phone and the Walkie-talkie that Matt also had. “It’s room 304.”
“Got it.” Matt answered through the Machine.
“I’m going to turn it off now. See you soon.” Kenny switched it off and put it on his coat. He walked over to a flight of stairs and climbed them and walked over to the door that had the number 304. He reached to try the door, finding it unlocked and walked in. He was surprised not to see anyone, the room was completely empty.
“Hello?” He called out, taking slow steps further into the room. The bed was made, and the walls were completely bare. On the bed side table there were two glasses and a bottle of whiskey, making Kenny frown. His head snapped towards the door as it opened, and his eyes finally fell on the man he had been waiting for, Hangman. He wasn’t dressed anything like his pictures, looking more like he was meeting with an old friend. His hair was pulled back in a bun, and his shirt was tucked tightly into his pants.
“Hi, ‘John’” he made air quotes around the name as he walked into the room. Kenny’s eyes scanned over the man, and while he didn’t see any weapons he didn’t want to rule the possibility.
“I have a pocket knife on me, nothing else.” Hangman told him, walking over to the bedside table and picking up the bottle of whiskey. “Want some?” He opened the bottle.
“I’m fine.”
Hangman shrugged and poured himself a glass and took a drink. “Oh, this was charged to the room. I figured if I wasn’t getting paid I could at least get a drink.”
“Why wouldn’t I pay you?” Hangman rolled his eyes at Kenny, shaking his head.
“You said multiple times that you had never done this before, however you messaged me on a website that’s relatively hard to find. Most men who don’t know what they are doing message me on my work Twitter or Instagram, and they never start with the fact that they are looking for a prostitute. So, I can only assume one of two things. Either you want some form of dirt on someone or pretending you don’t know what you're doing is what gets you off.” He paused to look Kenny up and down. “Praying it’s the first one, or I am screwed.”
“Fine, I guess we can get right into it. I’m interested in some info on a guy who you’ve seen a few times-“
“No deal. I don’t talk about clients, that’s the first rule of doing this.” He Gestured around the room.
“One sure we can find some sort of deal. I mean, everyone has a price.” Kenny offered, not that he would actually give the man any money. Just wanted to see if he could get anything out of him.
“Not me. I know I probably look like a whore to you Pretty Boy, but I get paid well to keep my mouth shut.”
“What did you call me?”
“Please, look at you. Platinum blond curls, bright blue eyes, You are the definition of a pretty boy.”
“I think we’re done here.” Kenny started to walk away, but Hangman stuck his arm out to catch him.
“Who did you want dirt on?”
“Paul Hayman.”
Hangman raised one of his eyebrows. “You know Paul?”
“Know him? Na, but I happen to know he works with Vince McMahon.” Hangman had happened to be taking a drink at that moment, and when Kenny said the name he spit out his drink.
“The hell you want with him?” He spun Lenny to face him.
“What’s it to you? I thought you couldn’t help me?”
“If you're trying to start shit with McMahon then no one can help you. Even a pepe of someone being against him can get you killed. Hell, I could be if it’s found out I even talked to you.” Hangman grabbed a handful of Kenny’s shirt pulling him close. “I’ve been able to stay under his radar since I was 17, you sure as hell are not going to ruin that.”
“Sounds like you might want to help me.”
The two men stood there for at least 30 seconds before Hangman released Kenny. “What do you wanna know?”
“The more dirt on Paul the better.”
“He used to meet at least twice a week, but he’s been stressed, he’s trying to get Brock Leasner to work exclusively for Vince.”
“Why?”
“You don’t work halfway with Vince.” Hangman rolled his eyes. “Vince will turn your ass in if you do, and if Brock goes back to prison Hayman will be right behind him.
“He helped get Brock out?” Kenny asked.
“Yep. The thing with Paul is that he needs people to see him as important. He was big in the 90’s, took a bunch of people down. Guys like The Undertaker, Heartbreak kid, he even got the Hardy Boyz for a few years, but he never got anything that would give any of them life in prison.” He paused to take another drink. “The other agents had high hopes for him, but he fucked up.”
“How?”
“A guy named Edge or-“
“Rated R killer.” Kenny finished, earning a nod from Hangman.
“His first guy that every charge was sticking. This guy was going to be executed, but when they showed up to take him to the execution
He was gone. They blamed Paul, he was Theo lu one with contact, and the only one who could have helped him.”
“Did he?” Kenny kept digging.
“He claims he didn’t, and not a single charge stuck to him.”
“He told you this after having sex with you?” Kenny asked, finding it odd that he had so much info.
“We’ve never done anything sexual, you would be surprised how much of this job is just listening to them talk. You want to piss McMahon off, you need to start having people like Paul arrested. In the 90s when there was a tone of bust they struggled to keep it together. Another one would shake them.” Kenny nodded along with the man, already forming a few plans in his head.
“You know where he’s staying? Or any good info to get him arrested?”
“Oh no, I’m not doing that.” Hangman shut him down. “I just spilled my guts about him, if you want him arrested, figure it out for yourself.” He grabbed the bottle of whiskey and turned to the door. “I’ll see you later, pretty boy.”
“Kenny.”
Hangman stopped, next to the door and looked over his shoulder. “What?”
“I assume we will be working more together in the future, and I’d prefer you didn’t call me pretty boy. My name is Kenny.”
“Well Kenny, let’s hope you don’t end up dead.” And with that he walked out the door, closing it behind him. Kenny stared at it for a moment before pulling his phone out, on the screen it showed that the virus was downloaded. Next he pulled out the walkie talkie and turned it on.
“I just finished.”
“Get anything good?” Matt’s voice asked.
“Ya, we’ll talk with everyone. I’ll meet you back at the apartment.”
“See you then.” With that Kenny exited the room, making his way back to his car.
When he got there however, he saw something silver sitting on the seat. He slowly opened the door and reached in to pick it up. It was a phone with a small note on it.
If you want to talk more, just text me. Don’t try to track me.
3 months later
Adam strolled down the road, reading an article about another guy who got arrested. Another guy Adam helped Kenny put away. Over the course of a few months Kenny had spoken to Adam almost daily, and they had put away a handful of guys. As he walked another text came in from Kenny. He was on his way for another meeting. Before Adam could answer a black car pulled up next to him and honked. He stopped and looked over to see a tall man with short blond hair climb out. Mayor Kane.
“What’s your name son?” He asked walking to stand in front of Adam.
“Excuse me?”
“You heard me, your name?”
“What does it matter to you?” He snaps back. Kane raises his eyebrow and smirks.
“Turn around.”
“What-“ Adam started but Kane yanked him around and within a second he felt a pair of handcuffs close around his wrist. “What the hell!?”
“You are under citizen's arrest.” Kane explained. “The police will be called, and you will come to the station.”
“I didn’t do anything!” Adam shot back, turning to face Kane once again. Kane reached out and gripped Adam’s hair pulling him close.
“We know one of you damn Prostitutes have been snitching.”
“Even if I was a prostitute, which I’m not, what makes you think it was me?”
“Well, either we got the guy or we get another prostitute off the streets. It’s a win-win situation.”
“Fuck you.” Adam attempted to shove the man back, but with his arms behind his back he just bumped him. It allowed the other man to shove Adam himself, and he barely caught himself on the wall behind him. At this point Kane had dragged him into the ally off the road.
“Can’t tell if your brave or stupid.” He snapped, and in a moment he felt a punch land on his stomach, knocking the air out of him. Adam felt stupid for trying to act tough against a guy who doesn’t mind beating the shit out of someone.
As he tried to catch his breath Kane had a handful of his hair again and waked his head against the wall, making pain shoot through it. He tried to shove his foot up, but Kane grabbed it. He was bigger and stronger than Adam, and stopped almost every attempt to fight back.
After a few moments of being beaten he was trying to push himself up the wall, and he had blood running down his face. Kane yanked him up again and got in his face. “Should have just kept your mouth shut kid-“ he was cut off and went limp, and a splash of blood hit him and mixed with his own blood.
Adam stumbled back, leaning against the wall in shock. Mayor Kane laid dead at his feet. He looked around, and saw a bright blond haired man standing at the other end of the alley. He had his hands up with a gun in them, like it had just been shot. “Pretty boy.” Adam mumbled.
“Adam!” Kenny ran down the alley to him. “Shit, are you ok?”
“Did-did you kill him?” Adam questioned, his eyes being drawn back to the body at their feet.
“Adam!” Kenny grabbed Adam’s face to force him to look at him. “Are you ok?” Adam nodded dumbly. Kenny opened his mouth to say something but stopped when they heard a police siren. “We need to go. I’ve got someone who can help you.” Kenny did his best to lead Adam out of the alley and away from the crime scene.
Adam took a drag of the cigarette as he stood on the fire exit of Kenny’s apartment. He didn’t remember much of the ride here, but when they arrived a red haired man helped Adam to the best of his ability. The worst was the concussion, but it still hurt like a bitch.
“Can’t believe you still smoke that shit.”
Adam looked over his shoulder to see a somewhat short man with long brown hair.
“I don’t, but after the day I’ve had I needed one and your friend had one.”
“What? No hi?”
Adam rolled his eyes and turned fully to look at him. “Hello Allen.”
“Actually it’s AJ now, changed it senior year.”
“Not like I would have known.” Adam shot back. Of looks could kill AJ would be six feet under. “What do you want?”
“You acted like you didn’t know me.”
“Yep.”
“Why?” Adam rolled his eyes at AJ.
“What good would it do? You think those people want to hear my sob story about how Allen Jones outed me to the whole damn town? How it led to me getting kicked out, and having to live in the street at 17, all because he wanted to save himself?”
“Omega killed a man for you. And now Callis is in there discussing business plans, and you're now some big part of this. I have a feeling at least Omega would hear you out.”
“Listen, I neve understood why you hated me. All through school you hated me, and I’m tired of trying to figure it out. I’ll start anew if you will.” Adam offered.
“Ya right.” AJ scoffed. Adam shook his head at him and put out his cigarette.
“Whatever man.” And pushed past Styles to go inside.
I run a tumblr for my domestic life of one winged angle story, and I’ve thought about adding this one to it. I would add all of the chapters on there, and it would let you ask the characters (and myself) questions. Left me know if I should!
Chapter Text
Kenny was exhausted. Over the weeks after his date with Adam every little thing that could go wrong had gone wrong. A few shipments of stuff had been caught by police up in Canada, a few of the housing units he owned had no water for some reason, and with city elections coming up Don had been bugging him about the votes. He had a tone of meetings with different leaders in the city, and if he had to answer one more dumb question he was going to lose it. The one thing keeping him in high spirits was Adam. Everyday he would come to Kenny’s office during his break, and during that time no one was allowed in unless the bucks or Cody had an emergency.
Currently he had multiple stacks of money and letters in front of him, bribes for Don's votes and for the police in his area to keep looking the other way. He looked over when his phone went off with a call from Matt. “Hello?” He answered, leaving it on speaker.
“You need to get to the hospital on 9th street.”
“What?” Kenny was shocked, but was already standing up and pulling on his jacket.
“Cody was shot in a drive by. Brandi couldn’t get a hold of you so she called me.” He explained as Kenny locked his office.
“Where are you right now?”
“Me and Nick are just pulling up to the hospital now.”
“I’m at the club, I’ll be there in maybe 5 minutes.” Kenny promised, leaving the club. Just at that moment Don was climbing out of his car.
“Kenny! Where are you-“
“I’ll call you in a bit Don, Cody’s in the hospital.” He cut the man off, already in his car to drive to the hospital, which wasn’t far from the club.
Once there he climbed out, and went inside. He strolled up to the front desk and was met by the secretary.
“Good afternoon, how may I help you?” She asked, not even looking up from her computer.
“Ya, I need to find Cody rhodes.” He stated. She looked up, and he could see the moment she recognized her.
“I-of course. Down the hall in intensive care. I’ll have a doctor come speak to you immediately.” He thanked her before walking down the hall. Once in intensive care he found Brandi crying with Matt and Nick trying to calm her down.
“Hey.” Matt greeted as Kenny walked over. He kneeled in front of Brandi who looked at him.
“You ok?”
“I don’t know.” She whispered. He just nodded, rubbing her shoulder. Eventually he would have to talk to her, but she was in no shape to currently. Cody was one of the highest ranks, and as far as Kenny was concerned, whoever shot him needed to be killed.
“Mr. Omega?” All four of them looked over at a young doctor. He was wearing surgical gear, and his gloves still had some blood on them.
“That's me.” Kenny stood and walked over to the man.
“I’m doctor Aaron Reid, I was asked to come discus mr Rhodes injury’s?” Kenny noticed he hadn’t seen this man before. He had to be new to the area.
“Yes, is that a problem?” Kenny asked, pointing out how the doctor seemed confused.
“It’s against Patient confidentiality for me to-“
“I can promise you he would be fine with it.”
“I’m sorry sir, but I can’t share the information.” He stated again, starting to get on Kenny’s nerves.
“Let me get this straight,” Kenny started, chuckling a bit. “Not only my employee, but my friend is back there in surgery. And you, who looks like you should be back there saving his life, came all the way out here to tell me that?” The man seemed surprised, but didn’t back off.
“Sir, I’m still studying to be a surgeon. I was best suited to come speak to you.” He explained. Kenny clenched his jaw as he stepped closer.
“If you aren’t going to tell me anything of use, then get back there and make sure he sees tomorrow. If not I won’t just have your license, but your damn head.”
“Sir, if you don’t back up I’ll call the police.” Kenny actually chuckled at that.
“Well, Aaron, I'm going to guess you're new here. Because if you weren’t, you would know I'm the one who pays the police. I pay to keep this hospital open, and I pay to keep your family safe and off the streets. If I say I want you dead you would be lucky to walk out of this building.”
“Excuse me?”
“You heard me.” Kenny was tired of him, he wanted answers, and he wasn’t getting them from him. Suddenly the doctor grabbed Kenny by his suit jacket and yanked him down. He had barely opened his mouth when both Matt and Nick had their guns trained in his head, and Kenny had a small knife against his stomach.
“If your next move isn’t to let me go, they will be cleaning your brains of the floor. Now move your hands.” It was silent for a moment before the doctor let go of Kenny. Immediately two security guards grabbed the doctor and some, who Kenny could only assume was in charge that moment, cam up to him.
“I, am so sorry sir. Dr Reid is new to town, and had no idea who-“
“Does he have a family?” The man struggled to answer.
“I-um, I believe so. A wife and two kids.” Kenny motioned for Matt to walk up to him.
“Send a guidance counselor to the home, and tell the family he has been arrested for malpractice. And set up a fund for all three of them.” Kenny told him. Matt nodded, already pulling his phone out when Arron started talking again.
“I haven’t done anything. If you send me to jail, I’ll tell them what’s going on in the god damn city!” The man that had come up to Kenny started to wave the security guards to take him away but Kenny stoped them. He walked over to look the guy in his eyes.
“You think your just going to prison? By the time you get there your jaw will by wired shut, and when you can talk again your brain will be so broken you won’t remember your damn name.” Kenny promised. He felt spit hit his cheek, which he calmly whipped off. He looked up at the security guards. “Some of my men will come get him in a bit,” he looked down again, “and I can’t wait, to hear how they decide to break you.”
The man just started at Kenny as he was dragged away from the group. The other man quickly turned to Kenny, already apologizing.
“I can’t apologize enough! I have no idea what he was thinking. Is there anyway we can make it up to you?”
“Ya, you can walk back there and make sure my friend loves to see another day. Otherwise I’ll crush this fucking hospital with you in it.” He snapped, watching as the man ran off. Kenny walked over and sat down next to Brandi.
Nick walked to stand in front of him. “What now?”
“We wait.”
———————
“I still don’t like it.” Chuck mumbled, walking beside Adam with Trent. Kris was ahead of them, dragging Cassidy with her.
“Well, it’s a good thing I didn’t ask your opinion.” Adam smiled at his friend, getting an eye role from the man. “Besides, it’s been a month and it’s going fine. He’s actually really sweet.”
“No offense Adam, but I don’t think anyone would refer to Omega as ‘sweet’.” Trent mocked the word a bit.
“You guys just don’t know him like I do.” Adam insisted. He knew that the men were worried about him, but sometimes he thought they were to worries some.
“Guys! Look at this!” Kris shouted from where she was kneeled down by a box. The three of them ran to stand next to Cassidy. I’m the box was a tiny pug. You couldn’t tell the color of the coat due to how dirty he was. Kris took her jacket off and wrapped it around the shaking dog to hold it. “He’s so small!”
“Kris, you don’t know where he’s been-“
“We need to get him inside!” Kris quickly cut off Cassidys worried voice. The group of them all looked at each other. Cassidy, Trent, and Chuck lived almost an hour away on foot, and a good 45 minute driving because of traffic. Kris had been living in shelters and in and out of friends houses. Adam only lived a block away.
“Come on.” He said, waving toward his apartment complex.
They made their was there quickly, keeping the dog out of view of anyone(no pets allowed). Adam unlocked his door and let them in. Kris immediately went over to the sink and started running some warm water.
“You have got to clean this place up.” Trent said as he plopped onto the mattress on the floor. Adam just ignored him as he got a towel for when Kris was done with the dog, also getting a small bowel for water.
Soon enough the dog, now a light brown, was Cautiously exploring the apartment while they all sat on the bed.
“He’s so cute!” Kris gushed. Chuck was flipping through channels on tv while Trent shook his head at Kris.
“He probably isn’t vaccinated, do you know how sick he could make one of us?”
“Don’t be like that!” She picked the small dog up and held him up to Trent. “He’s adorable!”
“Oh shit.”
Adam looked up at the tv to see what Chuck had found. A shooting in an area.
“So? They happen all the time.”
“Look at who was shot.”
Adam read over the small caption, and he could barely believe it. Cody Rhodes had been shot while leaving his home, he was in stable condition at a nearby hospital.
“Oh my god.” Adam whispered, his chest felling like it was going to burst. He didn’t even know Rhodes vary well, but he was terrified that something was going to happen to the man.
They all just sat, listening to the report as they talked about the white haired man.
————————
Kenny hated hospitals. The sounds, the smell, all of it. And he hated it more walking into the room where Cody was. He was laid back with a few machines around if him. The bullets had went all the way through his side, and punctured his stomach. Two tubes went into him, draining puss and such out off him.
“Hey.” Cody greeted as Kenny walked in, pulling a chair over.
“How you holding up?”
“About as good as I could be. How’s Brandi?”
“Worried, and ready to see you.” Kenny told him. “Listen, I know you probably don’t want to talk about it, but-“
“It was Austin.”
“Stone cold?” Kenny asked, frowning at the idea. Austin didn’t do the stuff anymore, he was retired.
“Yes, it was the pick up. I saw it Kenny.”
“Ok, ok, calm down.” Kenny set his hand in Cody’s shoulder. “I believe you. But if Vince is calling them in, that means he’s got a plan.”
“What do we need to do?”
“We, aren’t going to do anything. You are going to rest and recover. Understand?” Once Cody confirmed, Kenny left him so Brandi could see her husband. While walking out Matt and Nick stoped him.
“So?”
“Stone cold did it.” Both men looked suprised.
“Whats next?”
“We bring some guys out of retirement for ourselves. I want a call with Hardy as soon as possible.”
Notes:
Damn, it’s been a long time. I got super sick and have had some family issues to deal with, but I’m back now! No idea when the next chapter will be out, but I hoped you liked this!
Chapter 13: Update
Chapter Text
Hi! Its been a while!
I have an update for this story.
I started writing this almost 4 years ago(oh my god) and I still really like the concept. However, when I started it I didn’t have a full idea on what I wanted it to be and my writing has improved significantly since then.
So, I’m going to rewrite this! It will have a better, more thought out timeline and more coherent storyline. This will be left up until the new story is published, and I’ll announce the new story after I publish the first part.
Im pretty excited to rewrite this story, and I’m going to put a lot of effort into it!
Chapter 14: Update
Chapter Text
I just posted the first chapter of the rewrite for this fic. It's called "Seeing His Face"
I'll be deleting this one soon as I don't really need both up, but I don't know when that will be.
