Izuku remembers very clearly when Katsuki started getting piercings. On a monday, right after his 17th birthday, Katsuki showed up in class with a tiny silver stud in each ear, which made Izuku’s heart jump a little. 

- What the hell are you looking at, Deku? - Katsuki yelled when he noticed Izuku was staring a little.

- Oh, I’m so sorry Kacchan! - Izuku said, panicking a little. - Your new piercings look really good on you.

- Shut the fuck up. - Katsuki said and looked away.

Just a few weeks after that, he got two more little studs in each ear. At that point, Izuku had to control themselves not to blush when they looked at Katsuki. Did they have a thing for piercings? Apparently yes.

Izuku had spent the whole summer thinking about this. They wanted to finally tell their class that they were nonbinary. But who should they tell first? Their closest friends, Iida, Uraraka, Tsuyu and Todoroki? Or their childhood friend, Katsuki? In the end, they decided Katsuki deserved to be the first to know, so as soon as they came back from summer break, they looked for a moment alone with him, which happened in a very early morning when both of them were going out to run.

- Kacchan! - Izuku called when they were leaving the dorms.

- What do you want, nerd? I have shit to do. - Katsuki answered in his usual gruff tone.

- I want to tell you something. Can we please talk? - Izuku asked, fiddling with the sleeves of their hoodie.

- Fine. But you have to keep up with me. - Katsuki said, starting to run.

- Okay! - Izuku said and they ran in silence for a while, until they finally spoke up. - What I wanted to tell you is that I’m nonbinary. I’m not a boy and I’m also not a girl, I’m just...me, I guess. And I thought you should be the first in our class to know.

- This doesn’t change anything, nerd, I’m still gonna be better than you and be the number one hero. - Katsuki said and Izuku knew that this was just him being supportive in his own language.

- I know. Thank you, Kacchan. - Izuku smiled a little and looked down, happy to have Katsuki’s support.

- Fuck off, nerd. - Katsuki answered and they ran in silence for a little longer. - What are your pronouns?

- They/them, thanks for asking! - Izuku answered, looking directly at Katsuki for the first time in the morning and noticing the presence of two silver hoops on his helix. “ Oh no, this looks so good on him. ”, Izuku thought to themselves, blushing a little.

After that, they ran the rest of the course in silence, Katsuki seemingly unaware of the glances Izuku had been stealing. When they were almost getting back to the dorms, Katsuki finally spoke up.

- Hey Deku. Not that this is any of your fucking business, but I’m bisexual.

- Oh! Thanks for telling me! Actually, me too. - Izuku said, giggling a little.

- Don’t you dare tell this to anyone! I’ll fucking kill you. - Katsuki said, lowering his voice tone since they were almost at the dorm door.

- Don’t worry, Kacchan. I know that this is something you should tell people in your own time. 

Katsuki huffed and entered the dorms, heading straight to the bathroom. What Izuku didn’t expect to get from this was that, after they had come out to everyone, Katsuki would threaten to explode anyone he ever caught using the wrong pronouns for Izuku by accident.

It seemed like Katsuki had stopped getting piercings for a while, which made Izuku happy and sad at the same time. Happy because they would have a moment of peace, but sad because they really loved seeing Katsuki getting new piercings. Of course, this peace didn’t last for long.

On Christmas, the whole class was reunited in the living room with lots of delicious food and Aizawa came over with Eri, just like they did in the previous year. In the past year, Eri had come out of her shell and really bonded with basically everyone in the class, treating them as older siblings. Izuku knew that Katsuki would never admit it, but he had a really soft spot for Eri. Even him couldn’t help but want to protect her at all costs. Katsuki was sitting on the floor playing a board game with Eri and Izuku after she asked them very cutely. 

- Bakugou-san, what’s that little bar thing on your ear? - Eri asked, pointing at Katsuki’s ear, which prompted Izuku to look at his ear too, seeing that yes, he had a brand new industrial piercing there, his ear still a little red. “ Oh my God, that looks so cool on him. ”, Izuku thought.

- Oh, it’s just the new piercing I got yesterday. - Katsuki answered, explaining why his ear was still red.

- It looks really cool! - Eri said cheerfully.

- Thanks, kid. - Katsuki said, smiling softly. - Now let’s kick Deku’s ass.

- Yes, let’s kick Deku-san’s ass! - Eri yelled excitedly, which made Aizawa yell at Katsuki to stop teaching her swear words.

In the middle of the chaotic situation, Izuku couldn’t help but smile, seeing his edgy-looking with a prickly personality friend? crush? being so nice and sweet to this little girl they loved so much.

The last piercing Katsuki got, at least for now, was the lip piercing Izuku loved so much, in the beginning of their third year. Izuku woke up, went downstairs and saw Katuski in the kitchen eating breakfast. Izuku and their sleepy brain saw something right under the side of Katsuki’s lip that kinda looked like a mole, but Katsuki didn’t have any moles, did him? Also, are moles supposed to be silver and shiny? After some thinking and staring, Izuku realized that he had actually got a lip piercing.

- Why the fuck are you staring at me again, Deku? - Katsuki asked, still with his mouth full.

- You got a new piercing. - Izuku answered bluntly.

- I did, what about it?

- It looks good on you.

- Fuck off. - Katsuki said and turned away to finish his breakfast, but Izuku couldn’t help but notice he blushed a little.

As soon as his piercing healed, Katsuki changed the little stud for a ring. This made Izuku think very often about what would be like to kiss Katsuki (even more than what  they did already). Would it feel different? Or would just feel the same as kissing someone without a piercing (not that Izuku had that much experience anyway)?

After both of them confessed their feelings, Izuku finally got to kiss Katsuki. A lot. Maybe too much. Izuku came to the conclusion that kissing Katsuki’s pierced lips was definitely very interesting, but it wasn’t all that different. Maybe they just thought it was interesting because it was Katsuki.

On a friday evening, Izuku and Katsuki were just hanging out in Katsuki’s bedroom, just talking and making out a little. Izuku have been thinking about getting their ears pierced so they could wear cute earrings, but never actually did it or even told anyone. So they decided to ask Katsuki about it.

- Kacchan. - Izuku said and Katsuki hummed in response. - Does getting your ears pierced hurt?

- Huh? Not really, it just stings a little, but it’s really fast. - Katsuki answered. - Why are you asking this now?

- Oh, I was thinking about getting my ears pierced. I want to wear cute earrings. - Izuku said, playing with Katsuki’s earrings.

- You broke basically all the bones in your body and you’re worried that a fucking piercing is going to hurt??

- Hey, I didn’t know what to expect, okay?

- Dumbass. - Katsuki huffed. - Hey, if you really want to get your ears pierced, I can take you to the place I usually go. I’ve been wanting to go there and get my septum pierced anyway.

- Really?? Thank you, Kacchan! - Izuku smiled and kissed Katsuki. - Also, I think you will look even hotter.

- I know. - Katsuki smirked.

- I’m not complimenting you anymore, bye. - Izuku showed their tongue to Katsuki, who just started laughing.

On the next day’s afternoon, they left the dorms to go to Katsuki’s usual piercing parlor. The piercer who worked there was a very cool looking lady, with a bunch of piercings and tattoos, and she explained everything Izuku needed to know about the procedure and the aftercare. After Izuku chose the earrings they wanted, little silver hearts, she quickly got it done. As Katsuki had warned, it was just a little sting. It was soon Katsuki’s turn and he didn’t even flinch when the lady put the needle through his septum, followed by putting a silver curved barbell there. Izuku thought that this new piercing really worked with Katsuki’s edgy boy looks.

- Hey Kacchan, how does it feel to have something inside your nose? - Kaminari asked during dinner when he noticed Katsuki’s new piercing.

- I don’t know, dunce face, do you want me to put this fork inside your nose so you know what it feels like?
