“Kai, help me zip up my dress,” Jinora calls.
“Give me a second,” Kai calls back.
He loops his belt through his pants and adjusts his blazer.
He looked good.
White button up contrasting with tanned skin, black pants and blazer highlighting his green eyes and windswept brown hair.
Kai would want himself too if he was Jinora.
He’s fairly certain Jinora would kick him if he said that out loud.
“Kai!” Jinora yells, reminding Kai that he said he would help her.
Kai walks into the bathroom and the breath is punched out of his lungs at the sight he sees.
Jinora stands in front of a floor-length mirror in a sparkling red dress.
It almost cascades down her body like a glittering wine, clinging to every curve.
The zip is down in the back, exposing milky white skin.
A choker made of shining diamonds encases her neck in a bedazzling shine only a diamond could achieve.
A similar piece of jewelry adorns her wrist.
Kai is frozen for a minute, unable to process the sight in front of him.
The corner of Jinora’s lips turns up. “Are you going to help me or stare all day?”
“Can’t I do both?” Kai asks.
Jinora laughs. “Just help me.”
Kai finally moves forward, zipping up the back of Jinora’s dress.
The higher the zip goes, the more porcelain skin is encased by the rouge fabric.
“You look beautiful,” Kai compliments when he’s done zipping Jinora’s dress.
“I know,” Jinora teases.
Kai smiles. “Good.”
