A Rose Has Bloomed

Summary:

A sudden growth spurt gives everyone a very different view of Ruby Rose. Relationships will change, as will the people in them. (Note: This story was initially written for someone else, but it's mine now so now I gotta figure out what to do with it).

Chapter 1: The Growth Spurt

Summary:

Ruby and Yang return from break, Weiss and Blake deal with Ruby's growth spurt, and Ruby shows off a cool new move

Chapter Text

Summer break had ended and Weiss and Blake were at the Beacon Academy Bullhead Station, waiting for the return of the other half of their team, Ruby and Yang. The sisters had gone back to the island of Patch for some special training and extra-curricular Grimm hunting at home. Oddly enough, the sisters had been in very close contact with the monochrome pair back at Beacon, but Weiss and Blake did not see hide nor hair of Ruby. There were plenty of pictures and video messages of Yang, and Weiss’ demands for copious photos and videos of the best boy Zwei had been met and then some, but Ruby had somehow managed to stay out of every single one. The pair did not recall Ruby being particularly camera-shy, especially when everything was pretty much only going to be seen by the four of them in their team’s group chat. It was odd, but far from worrying. Fortunately, Ruby’s voice made plenty of appearances, and she seemed to be the camera operator for a lot of the other photos and videos, especially the ones starring wonder dog Zwei, so it’s not like anything bad happened to her. Maybe the summer break was just one long bad hair day for her, or something like that.

Whatever it was, today was the day that they would reunite. They waited at the station to see Ruby and Yang again. What Blake and Weiss didn’t expect to see was a very different Ruby from the one that they remembered. She was taller than Yang now, and by a fair bit too. They would have guessed that Ruby was about as tall as Jaune and Pyrrha now, give or take an inch or so. Calling Ruby a giant might have been a bit of a stretch, but it was clear, without a doubt, that Ruby was a very tall woman now. However, it wasn’t just Ruby’s height that had changed, she was practically a brand new woman now. She was pretty much bigger all over now. Her breasts had outgrown Yang’s by a long shot, making Ruby very busty. This was only enhanced by Ruby’s new top, which included a sleeveless mesh shirt under a corset that ran all the way up her chest and gave her newly improved chest an extra boost that it probably didn’t need. Her prominent cleavage was framed by her corset, as well as her cloak, which was pinned on to her corset, similar to how it had been on her old outfit.

Without her sleeves, Ruby’s arms were on full display, and they had grown impressively, sporting prominent, visible bicep and tricep muscles, at the very least making her look stronger than Yang, even if Yang’s semblance likely gave her the edge in a straight-up strength contest. Still, their size and paleness made them real attention grabbers, with the only thing that could drag Blake and Weiss’ attention from that being what was below Ruby's belt.

Ruby’s new bright red shorts were just barely long enough to cover Ruby’s extra plump behind, which jutted out a notable distance and appeared to have a good amount of muscle alongside the fat that covered it. To match her big posterior, Ruby was also sporting a wide, womanly set of hips that her old belt was resting atop, her belt possibly not even large enough to go around her hips at their widest. To go with all of that, Ruby also had a pair of thick, mighty thighs, which were pinched between her shorts and her new thigh-high boots, leaving a pale strip of exposed flesh bulging out where it could.

In addition to all of that, Ruby was sporting a spikier and choppier haircut that made her look a little more mature, along with a punkish pair of fingerless gloves. This all combined to give Weiss and Blake a moment’s pause when they saw the sisters hopping off of the Bullhead. That pause was enough time for Ruby to spot them.

“Weiss! Blake!” Ruby called out, before practically charging at the monochrome pair. With her semblance giving her an extra boost of speed, Blake and Weiss had no time to react. Before they knew it, Ruby had scooped them up into a hug, lifting both of them off the ground using one arm each. Blake had gotten a faceful of cleavage and was struck silent and frozen, her brain’s attempts to do anything completely fizzling out as it short-circuited. Weiss, on the other hand, was the complete opposite.

“Let me go, you giant dolt!” Weiss protested, flailing and squirming, attempting to break free of her partner’s shockingly strong grasp. After a moment of hugging, Ruby eventually released the pair, setting them back down on the ground. Blake still stood there, her gaze completely blank, basically broadcasting to everyone around that, while the lights may have been on, there was no one home right now. Weiss straightened out her jacket and recomposed herself. “Sorry Ruby, I didn’t mean to yell at you. I did miss you, but that hug was far too strong and far too sudden,” Weiss complained, even if she tried to make it sound less harsh than what had initially come out of her mouth.

“Heh, it’s okay Weiss, I should probably be the one saying sorry. I’m still getting used to my new strength. Yang put me through some serious workouts when we weren’t killing Grimm, and, I mean, you know how well that’s working,” Ruby said, patting her biceps with a proud, almost smug, smile on her lips. Almost as if on cue, Yang came up behind Ruby, waving at the rest of her team. Fortunately, she looked about the same as usual, just with a new bomber jacket instead of her old short-sleeved midriff-baring jacket.

“Hello everyone!” Yang sang, a cheery grin on her face. “That’s right, the new and improved Ruby is all thanks to yours truly.” If Ruby’s smile was almost smug, Yang’s smile now was absolutely smug. At least, it was until…

“Uh, Yang, I think you’re ignoring my growth spurt,” Ruby pointed out, making Yang’s smile falter a little bit.

“W-well, yeah, but I made sure you’re buff and not some lanky weirdo,” Yang tried to recover. It worked well enough for the conversation to move on.

“Oh, Weiss, me and Yang came up with an idea for a new team attack that I wanted to try out with you before dinner. Wanna hit the training arena and give it a go?” Ruby offered to Weiss, her excitement still very familiar to everyone, even if it was a little unusual coming out of someone Ruby’s new size.

“An excellent idea. I’m interested to see what you’ve been working on, and I’m glad that you’re taking this seriously,” Weiss said earnestly.

“Oh, wait, I gotta take my bag back…”

“I can do it!” Blake interrupted, finding her voice again. Before she could blink, she had Ruby’s backpack in her arms.

“Thanks, Blake!” Ruby cheered as she took Weiss and led her to the training rooms, even if it was more dragging Weiss along as Weiss struggled to keep up on her own. As Blake watched them leave, she was definitely focusing on Ruby and the way her shorts clung to her booty like they were almost painted on, Ruby’s ass bouncing and wobbling hypnotically with each step. Gods, the things she wanted to say to Ruby, to do with Ruby. She kept on staring until she felt Yang nudge her arm.

“Huh, wha?” Blake let out as she refocused on her partner.

“I said, we should head back to the dorm now. You okay Blake? You seem distracted,” Yang said, the concern in her voice sounding genuine.

“Yeah, yeah, I’m fine, I’m just tired, I guess,” Blake lied. Despite the lie not really having much to help cover itself, Yang did not try to push things any further. Instead, Blake lugged Ruby’s bag back to the dorm room as Yang dealt with her own.

One short walk later, Blake and Yang were back in the dorm room. Blake left Ruby’s back by Ruby and Weiss’ bunks, while Yang got to work putting away all of her stuff.

“Hey, Blake, do you mind if I vent a little bit? No worries if you don’t want me ranting, just wanna double check these things,” Yang asked as she was dealing with her clothes. Blake’s ears perked up in surprise.

“Uh, sure. Is something wrong?” Blake asked back, concern clear in her voice.

“Uh… not really. I mean… kinda… but it’s super dumb, so could you keep it between just the two of us?”

“I can do that,” Blake quickly agreed. Yang finished putting her clothes away and turned to look at Blake as she talked, while she leant on the drawers.

“So, you’ve noticed how Ruby looks a little different now, right?” Blake tried her best to maintain a neutral look on her face, but yes, yes she had noticed that Ruby looked different. Everything about the newly enhanced Ruby was burned into her memory, unlikely to leave any time soon.

“I think ‘a little’ might be underselling things,” Blake replied, trying to keep things sounding casual.

“Yeah. Yeah, you’re right,” Yang said as she let out a sigh. If Blake’s ears weren’t fooling her, she could have sworn that she could pick up a hint of annoyance in Yang’s voice. “It’s just.... I’m her big sister. I used to be her big sister literally and figuratively, but not anymore, I guess. Heck, she’s bigger than me literally all over, and she’s almost stronger than me, and that’s without a semblance to help her out. I’m… I dunno, jealous maybe? It just feels so dumb, ‘cause I should be supporting her,” Yang rambled.

“Has she said anything about all of this?” Blake inquired, curiosity getting the better of her.

“Actually, yeah, kinda. When her growth spurt really kicked in, and started going into overdrive, she was getting up every morning to measure, like, everything she could about herself. Of course, she really was growing every day. Heck, there were some days where she was noticeably bigger than she was the day before. She was my size for, like, a day or two and then she just rocketed right past me into the girl you saw earlier,” Yang added.

The mental image that Blake had gotten from all of this was just wonderful. She imagined Ruby, right here in the dorm room, measuring herself. Then, the mental images got lewder. Blake imagined Ruby measuring herself while nude, to make sure that her clothing didn’t affect the measurement, obviously. After that, Blake imagined being the one to measure the nude Ruby, her hands roaming across Ruby’s bountiful and beautiful body as Blake meticulously measured every part of Ruby, getting right up close and personal with her, close enough to gently kiss all over Ruby. Ruby would be more than strong enough to take the measuring tape from Blake, not that Blake would resist. Ruby could then restrain Blake with it, pulling her in close to Ruby’s voluptuous body. Then, with their bare bodies pressed right up against each other…

“Ahem, Remnant to Blakey, are you still with me?” Yang called out, snapping Blake back to reality. Blake shook her head to try and shake off the last of the lewd thoughts and focus on Yang.

“Sorry, sorry, I was distracted…” Blake worked her brain to try and come up with a decent excuse that wouldn’t involve confessing her undying love and lust for Yang’s younger sister, before her dumb brain remembered her perfectly fine excuse from earlier. “Still just… kinda tired, sorry.”

“Hey, it’s okay, just wanted to check. You looked like you were a million miles away,” Yang teased slightly. “Anyway, thanks for letting me rant. I think I’m gonna take a walk, get some fresh air. See you at dinner!” Yang said, sounding closer to her normal cheery self as she left the dorm room. With the room to herself, Blake let out a sigh of relief. Finally having some privacy, Blake had an itch that she desperately needed to scratch, and the delightfully lewd daydreams of Ruby and her would be more than sufficient to help her out. She popped her shorts open, slid her hand into her panties, and got to work.

When Ruby and Weiss got to the training rooms, Weiss was surprised to see that Ruby was not grabbing her weapon. Instead, she was bringing over a training dummy. Weiss had to admit, even if it was just to herself, that she was jealous of how strong Ruby had become. She could carry that dummy, one-handed like it was nothing. She was still fuming ever so slightly as Ruby set the human dummy down and came over to her.

“Okay, Weiss, I call this Red Snow. So, basically, what you’re gonna do is freeze the baddie in place and put up an ice wall behind it. Then, I’m gonna be all like ‘nyoom’, fly up in the air and then launch at the baddie. I’m gonna squish them between my boot and your wall, so make sure it’s a big, sturdy wall or I’m just gonna smash right through it, which would look super cool, but it’d kinda make the thing I’m trying to do not work,” Ruby rattled off so quickly that Weiss only barely caught on to what she was meant to do. Despite her new body, this was without a doubt the same old Ruby that Weiss knew.

“Um… so, freeze it and put up a wall behind it. That should be easy,” Weiss relayed back, focusing back on the task. Ruby nodded so enthusiastically Weiss was almost worried that she would nod her own head off of her neck.

“That’s right! Call it when you’re ready!” Ruby said as she backed off, getting into a running stance. The quick glance Weiss took at Ruby only picked up on Ruby’s shorts, which looked so tight, especially with the stance Ruby was in, that they looked like they were about to explode open. Weiss’ thoughts then wandered to her own, to be brutally honest, scrawny frame. Weiss’ teeth began to grind for a moment before an interruption. “You ready Weiss?” Ruby called out, snapping Weiss out of it. Weiss instantly straightened out, moving into a perfect stance with perfect posture.

“Ready!” With a flourish, Weiss spun Myrtenaster and stabbed it into the ground, a very light blue glyph appearing on the ground. A thin layer of ice spread speedily across the floor from the glyph towards the dummy. The layer of ice grew thicker and rose, encasing the dummy’s ankles in ice and getting about half of the dummy’s calves. The ice then curled up, like a steep skateboarding halfpipe ramp, rising above the dummy’s head. “Ruby!” Weiss called out.

“Hittin’ it!” Ruby called back. With a powerful standing jump that turned Weiss’ head, Ruby shot up ten, twenty, thirty feet, all the way up into the rafters of the training room. Weiss was almost certain Ruby could have jumped higher if the roof was not in the way. Ruby’s legs coiled and her feet caught the side of one of the girders in the roof for just a second, but it was long enough. Ruby then straightened her legs and shot like a red, blurry bullet towards her human-shaped target. Weiss could feel a gust of wind that Ruby made as she rocket past her, even from such a distance. Shortly before she was at the target, she manoeuvred in the air to put one leg out in a flying side kick, really putting her mighty thighs on full display. When she hit the dummy, she hit it with a crunch, her boot impacting right into the dummy’s cheek and the dummy impacting the solid ice wall behind it. As the ice stopped the dummy’s head, Ruby let her leg buckle in order to avoid her locked knee getting hurt. She then coiled her legs again, this time using the dummy as a springboard. She launched herself into the air, this time at a much more sedate pace as she backflipped gracefully through the air. She then landed in a perfect three-point pose, left foot, right hand, right knee, all on the ground at the same time with her left hand up in the air behind her. After a few seconds of holding the pose, Ruby’s right hand went into a fist as she pumped it in celebration. “Heck yeah, perfect superhero landing!” Ruby cheered as she shot up to her feet.

“Really, Ruby? You’re focusing on the landing?” Weiss chided as she put her rapier away.

“Hey, style points count too, y’know,” Ruby defended. “Anyway, let’s check out the damage.” She led Weiss over to the dummy, whose head was embedded in the ice wall. As the pair got closer, they could see that the side facing out had actually been caved in by Ruby’s big boot. “Ohohoh, fatality !” Ruby celebrated, making her voice as deep as she could. Weiss stared blankly at Ruby, an eyebrow slowly raising. “Oh, uh, it’s a thing from Immortal Combat, it’s a video game me and Yang play, I don’t think it’d be your thing,” Ruby rambled for an explanation. “But, uh, yeah, it worked, go us!”

“I can’t help but feel that you did most of the work here,” Weiss said, her voice flat with a hint of annoyance that even Ruby could pick up on.

“Hey, c’mon, this totally wouldn’t’ve worked without you keeping it in place, or without this super strong wall,” Ruby tried to reassure, thumping the ice wall with her fist to emphasise its strength. Unfortunately, that seemed to be the last straw for the ice, as a crack around the ice wall, starting where the dummy was embedded in the wall, split the wall in half, leading to a massive block falling and shattering into several big chunks. Ruby and Weiss both recoiled from the noise, with Ruby hopping back a metre or two as she put her hands in front of her face and even got a big leg up to try and cover herself. Fortunately, none of the ice even came close to hitting the partners. However, that did not do anything to prevent the damage to Weiss’ self-esteem, shattering just like the ice block. “Uh, I… guess I’m just stronger than I thought?” Ruby said, her voice going very, very high as she tried to placate Weiss. Weiss took in a deep breath that Ruby could tell was a sign that Weiss was trying very hard to not be angry and took that as a sign that she should stop talking about stuff like that. “Anyway, uh, I guess we better start cleaning up. I’ll deal with this dummy,” Ruby diverted. She marched up to the dummy and grabbed it under its armpits. Ruby planted her feet firmly, and lifted. The plan was to lift it up and carry it out. That plan was foiled by Weiss’ ice, which was stronger than Weiss was probably willing to give it credit for right now. The feet and lower legs of the dummy were frozen in place, while the rest of it was free to move. So, when Ruby lifted the dummy, the lower legs did not come with it, having detached at the knees after Ruby basically tore the rest of the dummy body off, the surprise throwing her back a little bit. While Ruby inspected the damage, Weiss’ eye twitched. Weiss pulled her sword out and, with a flick of the rapier’s point, sent a wave of fire at the frozen dummy feet, which Ruby was fortunately away from.

“You needed to deal with the ice first, Ruby,” Weiss grumbled. Ruby let out a nervous laugh as she rubbed the back of her head.

“Heh, right, duh, silly me. Thanks Weiss, your semblance is just super cool and really useful and stuff,” Ruby tried to cheer up Weiss. A hint of a smile came to Weiss’ face, telling Ruby that her plan had at least somewhat worked. “I’ll finish cleaning up, then I’ll see you at dinner, ‘kay?”

“Very well, I will see you then.” As Weiss finished speaking, the partners heard the door to the training room close. “Hmm? What was that?”

“Sorry! We’re just finishing up here, you can have it now!” Ruby called out to whoever closed the door that neither of them realised had been open.

Outside the training room, a young woman with green hair was sending a message on her scroll to her teammates.

Got intel, I’ll tell you about it at dinner

“So, Emerald, what kind of intelligence do you have for us,” Cinder asked as she set her dinner next to Emerald’s.

“Just look at these,” Emerald said as she put her scroll in the larger tablet form, showing pictures of Ruby and Weiss’ time in the training room. However, Emerald’s photography left a little bit to be desired.

“So the Ice Queen got a big new friend with some moves, why do we need to be worried?” asked Emerald’s snarky teammate Mercury. Emerald just rolled her eyes and flicked over to another photo, once that showed Ruby accidentally dismembering the poor innocent dummy. It showed the dumb look on her face and, most importantly, her distinctive silver eyes. “Wait, crap, that’s Ruby? The tiny gun nerd? When did she get so big?” questioned Mercury, almost sounding like he was on the verge of panic.

“No matter. After all, the bigger they are, the harder they fall,” Cinder said cooly.

“That’s easy enough for you to say. If I try to fight her she’s just gonna fold me up like a pretzel,” Mercury said, trying to keep his cool and mostly failing, but failing quietly enough to not draw any attention from the other students having their dinners. Emerald’s scroll made a ‘ding’ noise as a message popped up on it.

Neo: get good scrub

“Oh I am gonna kick your ass next time we’re training,” Mercury threatened, pointing at the mute fourth member of the team, who was currently in a dark outfit and uniformly dark hair as part of an illusory disguise. Mercury shoved some spaghetti in his mouth to muffle his further complaints. “I’m not a scrub.”

“It looks like this is something we will have to investigate further. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, Emerald,” Cinder complimented, putting a bright smile on Emerald’s face. Meanwhile, mute Neo was just staring at the photos as she spun more and more spaghetti onto her fork.

“Got enough spaghetti there?” Mercury teased, snapping Neo out of some kind of trance. Quickly trying to cover it up, Neo brandished her spaghetti-covered fork like a club as she shot another message to Emerald’s scroll in what felt like the blink of an eye.

Neo: ill bash ye fookin ead in, Merc, I sware on me mum

“I’d like to see you reach it, you tiny pervert,” Mercury said smugly. Smugness turned into panic with a quiet ‘oh shit’ as Neo launched across the table at Mercury. Mercury quickly dodged and booked it, a tiny assailant in tow as Emerald laughed at the sight. Even the normally too-cool-for-emotions Cinder could not completely stifle her chuckle. Still, Cinder did her best to keep her eyes on the cafeteria doors to see this new, bigger Ruby Rose with her own eyes, just to know it was real.

Chapter 2: A Big Dinner

Summary:

Ruby brags about her summer, Cinder and co. have concerns, and Weiss eats too much

Chapter Text

All eyes were on Ruby as she strutted into the cafeteria. Weiss did not even know that Ruby knew how to strut, yet here she was strutting like a natural, with plenty of bounce in her step in more than one way. Yes, Weiss had to admit it to herself, she was jealous of Ruby, even if she did a decent job of hiding it from everyone else.

The partners made their way over to the serving table and served up for themselves some spaghetti and meatballs. Ruby’s plate was a veritable mountain of food, filling the plate and rising up a fair distance. Seeing this, Weiss decided to emulate Ruby, filling her plate to match. It was not easy, as all of the weight from the food was almost too much for Weiss to comfortably hold in one hand. Her arm started to shake right as she put the last of her food on, just in time for her to ditch the serving spoon and grab her plate with both hands steadying herself.

“You okay Weiss?” Ruby asked, genuinely concerned.

“Of course, I’m fine,” Weiss dismissed.

“Gotcha, gotcha. So what’s with all the food?” Ruby asked again as the pair made their way towards Team RWBY and JNPR’s regular table. The real answer was that Weiss wanted to be like Ruby, tall, attractive, and strong, powerful even, but Weiss thought that sounded weird.

“Oh, I… skipped lunch by accident,” was what Weiss said instead.

“Ooh, you must be starving. I’m such a big eater now I’ve usually got enough in the tank to make it to the next meal, but Yang says skipping meals isn’t good for you. Apparently, it messes up your metabolism or something,” Ruby rambled as she and Weiss ambled. When they sat down, Team JNPR was awestruck at the newly improved Ruby Rose. “Hey guys, great to see you again!” Ruby chirped, her trademark cheeriness clearly having not changed one bit.

“Uh, h-hello again,” Pyrrha got out as she found her voice first.

“You, uh, look different,” Jaune commented, clearly trying to sound diplomatic.

“Yeah, you’re a total beefcake now!” Nora exclaimed. The look on her face was several shades more excited than the rest of her team’s. Quiet Ren just nodded in agreement.

“I know, right? Summer’s been good to me,” Ruby bragged as she flexed and patted her mighty bicep.

“A-all that, just over summer?” Jaune queried. “Now I feel like I’ve been slacking.”

“No, not at all,” Pyrrha tried to reassure her partner. “It just happens at different rates for everyone.” Nora leaned right in towards Ruby with a question clearly ready.

“Okay, serious question, how’d you get those killer thighs?” Nora asked, staring very intently at Ruby’s tree trunk thighs.

“Oh, you know, hard work, exercise, and plenty of milk. Plus, these shorts help make them look bigger,” Ruby explained as if it was not a big deal that she was so, so much bigger than before.

“Note that down Renny, note that down!” Nora called out as she nudged Ren. The quiet young lad fished out his scroll with his spare hand and made some notes, as Weiss did the same mentally, while Nora kept talking. “Ooh, speaking of which, those thighs aren’t all flash and no boom are they?” she asked.

“Uh… maybe?” Ruby replied, an eyebrow raised in confusion.

“I’m asking if those thighs are as strong as they look,” Nora quickly clarified.

“Oooh… yeah, they’re pretty strong,” Ruby answered modestly.

“Are they strong enough to crush a watermelon?” Nora questioned, though it would have been more accurate to say she was challenging Ruby, producing a watermelon and placing it on the table between the two of them, presenting the challenger to Ruby.

“Nora, where did you get that from?” Ren asked, clearly perplexed, looking all around Nora for where she could have possibly hidden it.

“Don’t worry about it,” she answered with a quick and quiet stage whisper before turning back to Ruby. “So, can ya do it?” Ruby eyed it up, giving it a thoughtful look, before picking it up and walking around to the end of the table with a confident grin on her lips.

“Yeah, I think I’ve got this,” Ruby asserted.

“You got this Ruby!” Yang cheered. Weiss was still powering through her veritable mountain of food as she watched, while Blake was beginning to blush as she ogled Ruby. Fortunately for Blake, all the action was down the other end of the table, so all eyes were well away from her and no one could see her threatening to short circuit at any moment. Nora watched intently, her desire to see this happen very obvious just from how she was observing what was happening, while the rest of Team JNPR was less dramatic about this, though still very much watching to see what was about to happen. Ruby nestled the watermelon between her thighs and gave it a few gentle test squeezes.

“Oh man, this is a sturdy one,” Ruby commented as she shifted the watermelon around to find if there were any obvious weak spots. Once she was satisfied with her position, she locked her feet together, pointing her toes inwards, and squeezed with all her might.

Those next five seconds felt like an eternity for Ruby and for everyone watching until, suddenly, there was an almighty boom. The watermelon exploded open, splitting down the middle and spilling its red innards all over the floor and all over Ruby’s boots. The rest of the table cheered for Ruby’s accomplishment while Ruby punched the air in celebration, only for it to be interrupted by...

“Excuse me!” called out a very stern voice that everyone immediately recognised as belonging to Professor Goodwitch. “I don’t know who you are, but you shouldn’t be doing that here.” Ruby whirled around, her cape flapping as she moved, and saw Goodwitch approaching rapidly.

“I’m sorry Professor, I’ll clean it up,” Ruby quickly apologised, putting her hands up in surrender. As she spoke, Glynda slowed to a stop, a look of realisation hitting her very suddenly.

“Ruby Rose? Is that you?” Goodwitch asked incredulously.

“Yeah, heh, I’ve been getting that a lot today,” Ruby laughed off as she rubbed the back of her head. “Guess this really was a big growth spurt.”

“W-well then, you still should not be doing that in here,” Glynda reiterated, pointing to the exploded remnants of the watermelon, which Nora was picking at to find something edible in the wreckage. “However, I’ll let you off with a warning right now, since the school year doesn’t officially start until tomorrow. You’re one of our star students, please try to set a good example for the new students arriving tomorrow.”

“Uh, th-thanks Professor!” Ruby said, blushing from the compliment and shooting Glynda a totally unnecessary salute entirely on instinct. “I’ll, uh, start cleaning up now.”

“I’ll help,” Blake added, shooting to Ruby’s side from out of nowhere in the blink of an eye with a handful of paper towels.

“Oh, thanks Blake,” Ruby chirped as Professor Goodwitch turned and left, still shaking her head in disbelief that Ruby Rose of all people looked like that all of a sudden. Ruby began wiping the watermelon juice off of herself while Blake scooped up the demolished remains of the watermelon, specifically the parts that Nora hadn’t already eaten, and disposed of it.

“So, Ruby, do you and those thunder thighs want a new best friend? I gotta get in on whatever you’re doing,” Nora enthused.

“I don’t know how much help I’ll be, the workouts were mostly Yang’s idea,” Ruby admitted.

“Yeah, and I dunno how they turned Ruby into… well… all of this,” Yang added, gesturing to her sister.

“Hey, I’ll give it a shot. I’m always happy to try out new stuff if it helps me be a better Grimm butt-kicker,” Nora said eagerly.

“Oh, oh, that reminds me, Yang, remember that big dragon Grimm thing we fought over the break?” Ruby excitedly asked.

“Hell yeah I do! Wanna tell the story?” Yang offered. Ruby was beaming and literally jumped at the chance to give her account.

As Ruby got into her story, Cinder was seated at the neighbouring table, growing paler.

“Sh-she did what? How?” she was whispering to herself. The story was beyond belief, but so were a lot of other things lately, so Cinder was inclined to believe it, especially coming from a font of incorruptible pure pureness like Ruby. Cinder doubted that Ruby even knew how to lie, that was how annoyingly innocent she seemed.

“Cinder, is something wrong?” Emerald quietly asked, leaning over to help keep things private. Cinder jumped slightly at Emerald’s voice and did her best to play it cool.

“Oh, it’s nothing you need to worry about. I’m not even worried about it,” Cinder attempted to downplay things. Emerald was not entirely convinced, but it was what Cinder said, so it was what she was going to believe.

“I dunno, that sounds like a pretty tough Grimm, and it doesn’t sound like she had that much trouble with it,” Mercury commented, holding an ice pack over the black eye he got from the beating Neo had given him.

“Oh, that’s just standard Huntsman bluster, nothing to take seriously,” Cinder dismissed. In her mind, she was making a note to check up on Mountain Glenn sometime soon and attempt to verify Ruby’s claims.

Meanwhile, Neo was as quiet as ever as she chowed down on her dinner. She was gazing at Ruby as she gave her animated retelling of the adventure she and Yang went on. There was so much moving that Neo was keenly focused on. There was the jiggling of Ruby’s thighs and rear, there was the bouncing of Ruby’s chest, the flexing of Ruby’s multitude of muscles, just so much for Neo to admire. She even ended up unintentionally letting out wistful sighs as she watched and mooned over Ruby. The rest of the table made the wise decision to tactfully ignore Neo for now.

“... and that’s how Yang and I suplexed a dragon Grimm thing,” Ruby finished, absolutely beaming with pride.

“Whoa, that’s so cool,” Jaune said in awe.

“I agree. Hopefully, we can do that together some time. A-as partners, of course,” Pyrrha added.

“Waaait, I thought dragons had 4 legs, not 2,” Nora pointed out.

“Eh, it’s got all the other dragon stuff,” Yang brought up. “Besides, dragons are pretty much anything snakey and powerful enough to call a dragon unless it’s, like, an intentional subversion. Plus, it’s nice if they represent something in a story. For example, in Ruby’s story, it represents us being badasses ‘cause we kicked its ass.”

“I always forget you’re a nerd when it comes to stories and stuff,” Nora teased.

“Psh, that’s just me being a classy lady, right Blake?” Yang defended with a nonchalant shrug as she nudged Blake. It was probably best that she physically got Blake’s attention, as Blake was mentally in another universe, a universe where Ruby was doing unspeakably dirty things to her. Fortunately, Blake was doing a very good job at keeping a straight face despite such thoughts running through her head.

“Huh, wha-yeah, sure,” Blake fumbled to say, having very suddenly been brought back to reality.

“See? Super classy thing to be a nerd about,” Yang insisted. Any further comments were interrupted by a sudden gust of wind going one way, and then the other, accompanied by a red blur. Ruby disappeared for a mere moment, as her plate went from empty to full again in the blink of an eye. “Still hungry?” Yang asked lightheartedly.

“You know it! I’m still a growing girl after all, and I gotta eat,” Ruby bragged, making three-quarters of Team JNPR, as well as the other half of Team RWBY, go pale.

“St-still growing?” Jaune stammered.

“Yep!” Ruby chirped before digging in.

“Oh dear,” Weiss murmured as she rubbed her belly. Her waist sash was starting to feel snug and her belly was definitely feeling satisfied, like she should be stopping now. However, she could tell that she was going to go well past ‘satisfied’ at this rate. Little did she notice that Yang’s eyes were wandering towards that slowly growing belly of Weiss’.

After that, dinner went on much more normally, if one ignored the fact that Ruby put away enough food for an average family, even if the two parents and their two or three kids were big eaters. Ruby went beyond ‘big eater’ status, she basically had a black hole for a stomach. Of course, that did not mean the effects of such a gastronomical achievement were invisible, Ruby did have a big, round belly to show for it. It looked like she had swallowed a fully inflated basketball whole, but she did not even break a sweat. This was likely helped by her subtly loosening her corset over the course of the meal in just the right places for it to still hug her robust figure.

Weiss was a very different story. She threw in the towel much earlier, but not before she finished off her first plate. She knew she could not match Ruby’s eating abilities. She doubted anyone could, with the possible exception of Nora, who Weiss had barely matched. Nora made it look easy, though, and Ruby made it look effortless. Having not eaten as much food, Weiss was not sporting as much of a belly as Ruby, but it was still enough to be noticeable. Her belly pressed tightly against her slim fitting combat skirt and pushed against her sash, undoing it without her needing to make a conscious decision to do anything about it. Weiss’ body was not at all happy about having had to put away so much food, as her stomach ached like Weis had never felt before. It gurgled and groaned loudly in protest, it probably would have gone on strike and set up a picket line if she had made the obviously bad decision to try to eat any more. Her breathing was shallow and laboured, needing the air badly to catch her breath but not wanting to risk upsetting her already irritated stomach.

As the two teams finished their dinners and returned to their rooms was strolling like she was taking a literal walk in the park, ignoring the mountain of food in her stomach. That had almost all eyes on her, mostly in disbelief but with one pair of amber eyes looking at the stuffed beefcake Ruby with barely hidden horniness. There were two exceptions to this, however. Weiss was so darn full that she barely even knew what continent she was on, her hands were cradling her belly with the utmost care and her legs were on autopilot, following the rest of the team to Team RWBY’s dorm room so she could collapse into a food coma. The other exception was Yang. Her eyes were glued to Weiss’ overstuffed form, the only ones focused on Weiss. Everyone else was focused on Ruby, but Yang had a whole summer to get used to that sight. This, on the other hand, was new. Behind those lilac eyes of Yang’s was a mind that very suddenly had some stuff it needed to work through, but was not particularly eager to reveal that information to anyone and was barely willing to admit it to Yang herself.

As the two teams split off for the night, Team RWBY ducked into their room. As soon as she could, Weiss squeezed out of her too snug combat skirt and into an equally snug nightgown. Fortunately, Blake was still gawking at Ruby and Ruby and Yang were playing a few sets of Immortal Combat. Normally the gorefest on screen would have elicited some kind of comment from Weiss, but all that came out of Weiss’ mouth was a groan that sounded vaguely like ‘good night’ before she crawled into bed and fell asleep almost immediately. The sun had barely gone down, the menacing techno soundtrack of Ruby and Yang’s game was blaring away, but Weiss was so full that none of that mattered, her body needed some rest and it needed it now.

A few hours later the sisters finished up their sets with Yang taking the final match after Ruby made the possibly unwise decision to switch off of her main character to one she was much less familiar with in a bout of overconfidence.

“Welp, it’s getting late, we ought to get ready for bed,” Yang groaned as she stretched her arms and back.

“Yeah, yeah,” Ruby grumbled, still a little salty over her loss. One thing she absolutely could win every time, no matter what, was the race to the bathroom to get changed and ready for bed. In the blink of an eye a red blur and a trail of petals raced from Ruby’s seat to her clothing storage and then to the bathroom, all before Yang had even finished stretching. It was a real unwinnable matchup, and everyone knew it.

Not long later, Ruby strode out in her pyjamas. However, it was not the tank top and flannel pyjama pants that the rest of her team was familiar with. She still had the tank top, sure, but before it only revealed a teeny tiny strip of midriff, less than an inch normally, a little more than an inch if she had her arms up above her head. Now, however, it had to contend with Ruby having shot up almost a foot and carrying a bust that made Yang look average. With all of that, Ruby’s tank top only managed to go down enough to cover her breast from the front and her shoulder blades from the back. What it absolutely did not cover was one hell of an eight pack, a chiseled set of abs, a powerful core, all emphasised by the fact that Ruby’s previously full belly had gone back down to its normal size just over the course of a few hours. Just seeing that was enough for Blake to fall in love, or maybe just lust, all over again, but it got worse, or better depending on your point of view. Ruby had swapped out her pyjama pants for a pair of off-white boyshorts, similar to Yang’s sleepwear. However, Yang’s shorts were a little loose, still a snug fit but with a little bit of give. Ruby’s shorts, on the other hand, were basically skin-tight, not unlike the shorts she wore with her combat gear. Those shorts had Ruby’s cloak to cover up the view from the back, but not these shorts. Everything was in full view, and Blake was drinking in that view like it was water and she was in the desert. Ruby’s plump but perky posterior bounced and wobbled with every step, lighting Blake’s mind on fire with all kinds of deviant thoughts, and those incredibly juicy thighs did not help matters.

With Ruby’s new height and strength, making her way up to her bunk was a cinch, even easier than ever before. The ropes holding up Ruby’s bed made a slightly concerning creaking sound, but once Ruby stopped moving everything seemed to be fine, just in time for Yang to step out in her pyjamas.

“You sure you’re not getting too big for the top bunk?” Yang opined.

“Nuh uh, you’re not making me a bottom bunk girl,” Ruby defied. “I have tasted the top bunk’s power, and I’m never giving it up,” she declared, getting so overdramatic that she could be accused of chewing the scenery if she were doing this on stage or on a screen.

“Yeah, yeah, say that again when your growth spurt ends,” Yang dismissed light-heartedly. That comment had both Ruby and Blake thinking. How big was Ruby going to get? Her stomach had worked through all that food from dinner very quickly, so she was almost certainly going to wake up a little bit bigger in the morning, but what was going to happen after that? Was Ruby just going to keep growing and growing, leaving her team in the dust and turning into a veritable giant? Was she going to peter out before getting the chance to reach such dizzying heights? Or was she going to start growing more out than up? All of these were valid possibilities, and there was no real way for anyone to know how this was going to turn out until the future. Two things were absolutely certain, however.

Firstly, Blake was going to enjoy the view, no matter what happened.

And secondly, Ruby was not the scrawny little girl she used to be, and would never be that again.

Chapter Text

The moment Ruby woke up, she raced over to the dorm’s door frame and scribbled a notch on it at her height. Then, when she scrounged up a measuring tape, she had a measurement for her height by the time the rest of her teammates had woken up.

“Someone’s still excited,” Yang said before letting out a yawn.

“Heck yeah I am!” Ruby cheered. “I’m probably still a growing girl, but I gotta make sure I’m noting this stuff down or I’m definitely gonna forget.” After double-checking the height she got, she wrote down ‘6ft’ next to the notch along with the day’s date, before enjoying a celebratory fist pump.

Less celebratory as Weiss, whose stomach still felt a little bit full from last night. Quickly running her hand over it showed her that it was no longer sticking out, even if she still felt like a food blimp. If that was how she felt after only one night of attempting to follow Ruby’s diet, she had no idea how she was going to manage sticking to it. And that was before even considering keeping up with whatever nightmare workout plan Ruby was on. This may have been a bad idea, but it was a bad idea that Weiss was going to try and commit to before completely writing it off.

Meanwhile, Blake was doing her best to subtly admire Ruby’s tall, powerful form and the way her snug sleepwear left little to Blake’s overactive imagination. So overactive, in fact, that Blake took the opportunity while everyone was distracted to race into the shower first, both to blow off some steam and for its actual use. In Blake’s mind, though, the former was definitely the most necessary right now.

Yang, on the other hand, was just trying to keep her jealous thoughts in check. It helped that Ruby wasn’t rubbing it in, and Yang did feel a sense of pride in helping Ruby build such an impressive physique, but she couldn’t help but want what Ruby had for herself. If that didn’t work out, she figured that she could always help someone else catch up to Ruby. After all, she did notice Weiss trying to match Ruby at dinner the night before, so Yang figured that maybe the two of them were considering the same thing.

As the morning went on, Ruby hit her first snag as she went to put her uniform on.

“Oh, oops, forgot to get a bigger size for this. Uniform store doesn’t open until classes start, right?” Ruby asked her team, quickly getting a confirmation. “Heck.”

“Maybe Pyrrha’s uniform might fit, at least until you can get one the right size,” Blake suggested, her post-nut clarity allowing the thoughts of Ruby bursting out of a much-too-small uniform slide right out without riling her up again.

“Ooh, yeah, good idea! Thanks Blake!” Ruby chirped before dashing across the hall to knock on Team JNPR’s dorm room door. Conveniently enough Pyrrha, already in her uniform, was there to answer the door.

“Good morning Ruby, do you need something?” Pyrrha asked, being the first person Ruby heard this morning to sound as alert and awake as she herself was.

“Heya Pyrrha! I forgot to get a bigger uniform, can I borrow one of yours? You’re… kinda close to my size,” Ruby said, visually measuring Pyrrha up and realising that, in fact, Ruby was bigger than Pyrrha in every respect except for Pyrrha’s broad shoulders, which Ruby roughly matched.

“Of course. One moment, please,” Pyrrha politely responded, ducking away from the door and letting Nora peer through.

“Ruby! Hey! Wanna work out together after classes?!” Nora called out, her eyes gleaming with excited potential.

“Oh, sure! Workouts are more fun with friends,” Ruby agreed.

“They sure are! Hope you can keep up with me, none of these guys can and I can’t work out with any of ‘em.”

By then, Pyrrha was back with a spare uniform, which Ruby quickly thanked her for before ducking back into her own team’s dorm. Slipping into Pyrrha’s uniform, Ruby quickly realised that it was not her size. The sleeves of the jacket were a touch too snug around her biceps and a touch too short. The buttons had to be pulled tight across her buxom chest, while the ones over her abs likely did not have too much room to give. The skirt was the biggest issue, as the combination of Ruby’s slight height advantage over Pyrrha when the latter wasn’t wearing her heels and Ruby’s prominent posterior meant that the tartan skirt was dangerously short, with maybe an inch of fabric protecting her from indecent exposure. Still, it was the best she had until she could get a properly-fitted uniform, and that wasn’t going to happen for a few hours, so she’d have to live with it.

At breakfast, Ruby couldn’t help but notice all the eyes on her. Her fear of large crowds was starting to rear its head again, a fear that she thought she had gotten over thanks to the Vytal Festival. The only silver lining she could find was that she could tell that none of the eyes on her were judgemental. Well, maybe a few of them were judging her for her skirt’s length, but that wasn’t something she had any control over. The rest, though, ranged from surprise at her growth spurt to admiration, and probably a few other emotions that Ruby didn’t have the time to analyse. She needed that time to scarf down a hearty breakfast to fuel her muscles. She also didn’t have time to worry about how tight the borrowed shirt was becoming around her belly, nor did she have the time to notice that Weiss was, again, attempting to keep up with her.

Speaking of Weiss, her stomach was protesting by the time that she was only halfway through the matching meal, a clear sign that she was not up to Ruby’s level yet. Emphasis on ‘yet’, as Weiss declared to herself that she was going to have to train her stomach just as much as her body, even if she had to tap out for now.

As the first class rolled around, that being a sleep-inducing History lesson, Ruby was glad to have the time to digest her breakfast, while Weiss considered that time a flat-out mercy. Weiss felt like she was going to explode, and she was going to have to have another go at this again for lunch time. She definitely did not feel ready for that.

By the start of the second class of the day, Combat Class, Ruby was feeling fine, maybe even a little bit peckish. However, she had to ignore that as she, along with Pyrrha, were called up to enter the arena. She undoubtedly felt more comfortable in her combat gear, enough to counteract the discomfort she felt being in front of not only her fellow third-years but also the new crop of first-years. At the very least she had Pyrrha up here with her to distract some of them with a literal celebrity, along with the domineering presence of Professor Goodwitch.

“Students,” Goodwitch began, “these are two of our most promising students. I would like to show our newest students what only two years here can do. Miss Rose, Miss Nikos, please show them the extent of your skills, strength, and strategy.”

“Yes, professor,” Pyrrha said with a nod.

“I’ll do my best, professor!” Ruby added, her cute voice throwing off some of the new students in the crowd, who had been expecting a more mature voice to come from a third-year with such an athletic body. As the hologram screen beside the pair of combatants fired up, showing their pictures, including a somewhat out-of-date one for Ruby, and their aura levels, Ruby took the chance to sneak in a quick stretch. She laced her fingers together and pushed them up as far as her arms would allow while arching her back. This stretch made her rear even more prominent, not that Ruby was aware of what effect she was having on the audience, especially a certain cat Faunus and an illusionist who were going to need to duck into the bathrooms for a private moment after class.

The combatants got into position, ready to fight. Pyrrha had her shield up and her spear levelled at Ruby. Ruby could tell that Pyrrha was anticipating a charge, or at least that Pyrrha was doubting that she had time to use her rifle before Ruby could close the distance. That was definitely the right call on Pyrrha’s part, assuming Ruby was going to advance on her. Ruby had to decide whether she would actually do that or if she would instead keep her distance and use her own rifle. She was a good shot, likely better than Pyrrha, but Pyrrha had a shield to block some of her shots. Pyrrha also shone in close-quarters combat, but Ruby had a plan to counteract that. It was a risky plan, and one that relied on her being faster than Pyrrha’s magnetism Semblance, but it seemed smarter than keeping away from Pyrrha and hoping she could win a shootout with someone who could block more bullets than she could.

With her plan set, the buzzer rang out and Ruby had to put it into action. She leapt into the air, flying over Pyrrha as she drew her rifle. Pyrrha kept tracking her with her spear, just as Ruby hoped. Ruby fired a blind shot behind and above her to change her trajectory in an instant. Now, she was racing toward the ground behind Pyrrha. As Ruby swung the blunt end of her scythe down at Pyrrha, Pyrrha quickly turned to put her shield up. She blocked the hit, which rang out through the auditorium and earned some cheers from the audience. Pyrrha then thrust out with her spear, catching Ruby’s Aura and taking out a chunk of it. Before Pyrrha could recover from her attack, Ruby continued to fall and shot both feet out, knocking one of Pyrrha’s feet out from under her as Ruby hit the ground. Of course, a well-trained fighter like Pyrrha wasn’t going to be knocked down by something as simple as that, and she quickly put that foot back down, even if her stance was a little awkward now. She thrust her spear down at Ruby, who seemed like an easy target, and she would have been before. Now, though, Ruby was much faster and slipperier. She activated her Semblance and turned into a blur of petals. The blur split around Pyrrha’s spear and raced up to surround Pyrrha’s head. Then, Ruby reappeared, her thick thighs either side of Pyrrha’s head. Just before gravity could catch her, Ruby closed her legs around Pyrrha’s head, blinding and deafening her and putting a reasonable amount of pressure on her. It wasn’t the watermelon-splitting effort from yesterday, but it was enough to stun Pyrrha. With that, Ruby had her opportunity.

Ruby leaned with her fall and reached out to touch the ground. She realised that she had gone a little off-script here, but she figured that this might just be enough. She pushed up off the ground and threw her legs towards the edge of the arena, opening them to launch Pyrrha. Normally, one would have some kind of way to avert a ring out in this situation, but Pyrrha simply sailed through the air, bounced off the ground near the edge of the ring, and then rolled out of bounds, causing the buzzer and the crowd’s cheers to ring forth.

“... and Ruby Rose is victorious!” Professor Goodwitch said after a brief hesitation, regaining her composure quickly to cover up her look of mild confusion. On hearing that, Ruby activated her semblance again and rocketed over to Pyrrha, who was on the ground but beginning to sit up and regain her bearings.

“Pyrrha, are you okay?” Ruby asked, her voice sweet, soft, and caring as she put an arm around Pyrrha’s back and looked Pyrrha in the eyes. When Pyrrha registered what happened, she seemed to freeze as she got lost in Ruby’s eyes and the feeling of Ruby’s bicep against her. It took a moment for her to find her voice, and when she spoke she didn’t have half the clarity she would normally have.

“F-fine, great, I’m fine. Th-thank you,” were the words that spilled out of Pyrrha’s mouth as she clutched her head and caught her breath.

“Are you sure? Do you need me to take you to the infirmary?” Ruby fretted, her silver eyes going wide with worry.

“Ah, n-no, no, really, I’m fine, I just… need a moment. That really caught me off guard.” A brief hint of feedback squeaked out of the auditorium speakers as the professor spoke again.

“Miss Nikos, while that was indeed an… unorthodox attack, you do need to be ready to respond to them quickly. You did an excellent job of responding to Miss Rose’s first attack, so I know you can do this,” Professor Goodwitch lectured.

“Thank you, professor,” Pyrrha said with a nod as she rose to her feet with Ruby’s aid. Even if it wasn’t entirely necessary, Pyrrha didn’t seem eager to reject Ruby’s helping hand.

“And Miss Rose, as I said, that was an effective and highly unorthodox attack. I would recommend using it sparingly, as it will only be useful against those who are unprepared for it. I would especially recommend against using it when fighting Grimm, as their bony protrusions and teeth would make such a manoeuvre highly dangerous,” Goodwitch informed.

“Don’t worry, professor, I’ll use it wisely!” Ruby chirped. With that, the combatants were dismissed and the next fighters were called up. Ruby and Pyrrha made their way out and towards the changing rooms.

“Are you sure you’re okay?” Ruby asked quietly. “You don’t have to put on a brave face for me.”

“Ruby, I swear that I am okay. I appreciate your concern, though,”” Pyrrha responded. Hearing that, Ruby gave Pyrrha a bright grin.

“Yay! Now I don’t feel so bad about beating you! I never thought I’d be able to do that, even if I did kinda use a dirty trick,” Ruby cheered.

“It was very clever,” Pyrrha countered, “and once we graduate, we’re likely to fight others that don’t care about the rules, unfortunately.”

“I know, but it feels mean doing something like that to you,” Ruby admitted.

“Ruby, you can use that move against me as much as you’d like,” Pyrrha assured. However, there was something in her voice that she wasn’t ready to admit to and that Ruby didn’t notice.

As Pyrrha hit the showers her mind was a mess of emotions and sensations. The pressure of Ruby’s thighs against her head, Ruby’s gentle touch as she helped her up, her enthusiasm, everything swirled around inside Pyrrha’s head, leaving her unclear on what to do with it all. Did she want a rematch with Ruby? Did she want to be better friends with Ruby? Something more? Whatever it was, the hot water washing over her did little to help clear things up. It was immediately made worse when she stepped out of the showers to find Ruby changing.

With her back to Pyrrha, Ruby’s lightly chiselled back was exposed, fully bare as Ruby was currently topless. In Pyrrha’s eye, the few drops of water that Ruby hadn’t towelled off reflected the light in a way that seemed to give Ruby an angelic glow that stole Pyrrha’s breath. She couldn’t tear her eyes away for even a moment and no thoughts passed through her brain other than complete admiration for Ruby. Ruby turned her head and caught Pyrrha looking at her, but Ruby seemed to miss what was happening.

“Oh, Pyrrha, hi! Is something up?” Shaken back into reality, Pyrrha’s brain scrambled to come up with some kind of response.

“Uh, your hair…” was the best Pyrrha could come up with, and her voice had very little conviction in its tone. Ruby raised an eyebrow before seeming to fill in the blank herself.

“Oh, right, yeah, I gotta put some stuff in it to make it look cool,” Ruby explained as she ruffled up her currently flattened hair with one hand as she crouched to grab her sporty bra with the other hand. “Gonna do that once I’m dressed,” she added as she slipped the bra on in one quick movement. “Ooh, speaking of which, thanks again for letting me borrow your uniform. It’s a little tight, but it’s working for now. Guess I’m a little buffer than I thought,” Ruby said as she turned around and flexed both arms. The swelling biceps and toned abs combined with Ruby’s adorable smile made Pyrrha’s heart skip a beat.

“Ah, y-yes, you are rather buff,” Pyrrha commented, her thoughts scrambling more and more the longer she looked at Ruby. Fortunately, Ruby didn’t take much longer to get changed, leaving Pyrrha alone with her messy thoughts.

Once classes were done for the day, both Ruby and Nora seemed to make it their mission to find each other for their gym meet-up. They were both so enthusiastic that they ended up meeting each other in the hallway between their dorm rooms mere moments after getting changed and grabbing their gym bags. Nora had the same gym outfit as usual, pink and white all over, while Ruby’s new outfit was a real eye-catcher. Her black sleeveless cropped top hugged her breasts tightly and showed off her arms, shoulders, and abs, with her personal emblem emblazoned in bright red in the middle of her chest. Down below she wore long tights that changed in a gradient from black at the hips to red at the ankles, with a white line over the outer seam. The tights left little to the imagination despite covering her perky booty and mighty legs completely. All the way at the bottom were her grey running shoes with black soles, tongue, and stripes and red laces. Ruby couldn’t help feeling a little bold wearing something that flaunted her figure so blatantly.

“Hope you’re ready for a killer workout!” Nora declared, clenching her fist with determination.

“After what Yang put me through while we were on break, I think I can handle it,” Ruby said, sounding a little more cocky than she intended, but she hoped she could fake the confidence well-enough. After all, she remembered the last time she worked out with Nora back in their first year at Beacon, and not even Yang could keep up with her.

“Alright, let’s do this! Race ya to the gym, and no cheating and using your Semblance,” Nora announced before taking off for the stairs. Nora might have had that head start but Ruby was still pretty quick without her Semblance, and with her longer legs she quickly caught up to Nora, only to fall behind again as Nora slid down the bannister, cheering all the way down. Fortunately, Ruby kept close enough that, once they were both on the ground floor, Ruby could overtake again during the final sprint to the gym, reaching the door just before Nora, who came in panting just a few seconds behind Ruby. “Phew, now that’s a good warm-up! Now c’mon, let’s show this gym who’s boss!” Nora declared as she punched the air.

What followed was the most brutal workout of Ruby’s life, even outdoing some of the most dangerous fights Ruby had been in. Every part of Ruby’s body was pushed to its limits, and Nora was right alongside her, seeming like she was totally fine. Once Nora declared the workout over around an hour later, Ruby collapsed, laying flat on her back and sucking up as much air as she could. It surprised her, then, to see Nora fall to her knees before landing face first on Ruby’s abs.

“Wah, Nora?!” Ruby blurted out, too tired to actually put her response together. Nora turned her head to look up at Ruby, although with Ruby’s big breasts in the way the two of them were mostly obscured from each others’ sight.

“Heh, best… workout… ever…” Nora drawled as she nestled in against Ruby’s abs. Ruby let out a sigh of relief, partly at knowing Nora was okay and partly at knowing that Nora had limits like everyone else, despite all appearances last time.

“Y’know, this does feel pretty good,” Ruby breathed out as she stared up at the ceiling. “Maybe we should do this again sometime. Maybe not too soon, though.” Nora let out a gasp, her eyes gleaming with excitement even if Ruby couldn’t see it.

“Yes! We’re gonna be the ultimate workout pals!” Nora announced, making an attempt at throwing her hands in the air in celebration that turned into random flailing.

“I thought I recognised that voice,” said an approaching young woman, her voice full of suave confidence. “Heya Nora, who’s the smokin’ hot babe?” she teased. Now that she was closer, Ruby recognised it to be Coco’s voice and blushed, not that it made much of a difference with how flushed with exhaustion her face was.

“Hey Coco, I’m tall now,” Ruby spoke up, her voice tired but trying its best as she gave a lazy wave, her elbow resting on the floor as she flailed her hand around. Hearing Ruby speak, Coco flinched.

“Ruby? Damn, yeah, tall’s one word for it,” Coco commented as she circled around so that Ruby could see her. Looking up, Ruby mostly just saw Coco’s black sports bra with a golden yellow band and an open chocolate brown cropped jacket, but Ruby managed to summon up the energy to look down at Coco’s tight but not too tight dark brown track pants and all-black high-top running shoes. With a grunt, Ruby propped herself up on her elbows, making Nora roll down until her head rested on Ruby’s toned thighs. That allowed Ruby to spot Velvet, who had apparently been standing there stiff as a board the whole time, wearing a grey Beacon-branded hoodie and some loose brown track pants.

“Oh, we should probably get out of here, shouldn’t we?” Ruby commented, earning a groan from Nora and a shrug from Coco.

“Eh, I don’t think they’ll care. Hotties can get away with stuff like that,” Coco said with a wink. Ruby did her best to brush that off as she helped Nora to her feet before joining her, both of them standing there unsteadily before staggering off to the changing rooms, leaving Coco and Velvet behind. “Soooo, V, what’s that big bunny brain thinking about that got you so quiet?” Coco said cheerily. Completely deadpan, Velvet responded.

“I was just thinking about how I want Ruby to…”

Nora and Ruby moving to the changing rooms just meant that they were sitting on benches to catch their breath rather than laying on the gym floor. Admittedly, it was more comfortable and they weren’t in anyone’s way, so it was probably the better choice. The pair were still panting as they sat there, propping themselves up with their hands planted on the benches as they chatted.

“Seriously, Ruby, I’ve never had a workout like that before,” Nora said, sounding slightly in awe.

“Really? Last time you kicked our butts so hard I was honestly a little scared of you,” Ruby admitted.

“C’mon, I apologised for that, didn’t I? Wait, did I? That was a while ago, and sometimes I forget what I had for breakfast in the morning if it isn’t pancakes,” Nora rambled before shrugging off that thought. “Anyway, yeah, I think I scared off the rest of my team, so they don’t work out with me anymore, and I’ve never found anyone who can keep up with me, so today was something special. You don’t have to say yes right now, but can we make this a regular thing, please?” Nora asked. Even someone like Ruby could tell that this meant a lot to Nora, so Ruby’s immediate reaction was to nod in affirmation.

“Sure thing! Just, y’know, I’m gonna need some recovery time,” Ruby bargained.

“Oh, yeah, totally. I’ve never gone this hard before, I was trying to keep up with you, so I’m gonna need some time to recover.” Ruby’s jaw dropped and her eyes went wide.

“Wait, what?! I was trying to keep up with you!” There was a moment of silence before a snicker snuck out of Nora that quickly turned into a full, hearty laugh as Nora rested her head against Ruby’s pumped bicep. The laugh was infectious, and soon Ruby joined in at the absurdity of it all. Maybe she didn’t need to push herself as much as she thought, but she couldn’t deny that it felt too good to give up.

“... requiring me to recover in bed for at least a full day.”

Coco stood in stunned silence, not entirely comprehending that it was Velvet that had laid all of that out for her, before eventually coming up with a response.

“Velv, V, honeybun,” Coco started as she put an arm around Velvet’s shoulder and brought her in so she could drop her voice to a conspiratorial whisper, “as a fellow horny bitch, I gotta give you some respect, but maybe you should dial it back a little in public.” Immediately, Velvet blushed hard and covered her face with her hands.

“Oh noooooo,” Velvet whined as she closed in on herself.

“It’s okay, Velvet, sometimes you just see someone so hot it makes you act a little unwise, it happens to everyone,” Coco said with a reassuring pat on Velvet’s back. “Except me, of course, I’m too cool for that.”

“Do you seriously not want Ruby to…” Coco put a finger to Velvet’s mouth to dam the inevitable flood of lewdness.

“Velv, Velv, Velv, I’m a top, I’m the one who’s gonna do… some of that stuff to Ruby,” Coco cockily explained to Velvet. “Not all of it though. Like, I can get a little freaky but clearly I’m not gonna catch up to you. Plus, where am I gonna get a kilo of guac, a penguin mask, and a bag of marbles from?” Velvet had no answers for Coco, as she was busy hoping either that the ground would swallow her whole, or that Ruby would swoop in and save her from her blunder and take her away for incredibly unwholesome activities. Unfortunately, neither of those were going to happen, and Velvet was just going to have to live with this deathly-embarrassing reality.

Chapter 4: Alleyways and Wistful Sighs

Chapter Text

As the weekend came around, Ruby was glad she could finally get a big enough uniform. Even with her muscles and height continuing to grow over the week, even if it was only a touch, she could still, fortunately, find something that could fit her. She was surprised that Pyrrha was willing to let her borrow a uniform for so long, and even more surprised when, after handing the uniform back. Pyrrha had to race off for… something. Ruby didn’t quite catch the meaning of the jumble of words that spilled out of Pyrrha’s mouth, but Ruby was glad she could give Pyrrha her spare uniform back, no worse for wear, even with how snug it felt sometimes.

Another reason to celebrate the weekend was a visit to Vale. For the most part, it was just for fun, but Weiss said she had something to pick up from a health store, the same one Ruby needed to go to for some boxes of protein bars. She didn’t see what Weiss got, but Ruby theorised that it might’ve been something to deal with her appetite. After all, Ruby had never seen Weiss eat as much as she did over the past week, so she must’ve been utterly starving lately. It reminded Ruby of her own appetite needs, as she needed all that food to fuel her growing muscles and height.

Later on, the team decided to do some clothes browsing, trying on new fits, even if it was mostly just Yang trying on new stuff. Still, Ruby decided to wander for a bit, seeing if she could find something that fit her muscular figure a bit better than the cute outfits Yang was trying on, and trying to get Weiss and Blake to try out too. Strolling down the street to a store that fit her goth aesthetic better, Ruby had the weird feeling that she was being watched. It wasn’t the feeling of her fear of crowds rising back up, she knew the exact brand of awful that that felt like. No, this was something different, like someone was spying on her. Peeking down an alleyway she walked past, she swore she saw something move. Maybe she was just being paranoid, or maybe it was her Huntsman senses tingling, a thing she definitely had, despite Weiss’s protests. Wrapping the handles of her reusable bag around her hand with the protein bars still inside, Ruby hoped it could be a distracting flail against whoever was there.

As she reached a corner, where the alley went behind a building and linked to a handful of other buildings, Ruby jumped around the corner, landing in a loose boxing stance. Scanning the empty area carefully, she was about to let her guard down when she heard something leap from a roof behind her. Like a tornado, she spun around, swinging her leg high to catch the ambusher with an anti-air attack. To her shock, not only did her attack not land, but the assailant landed on her leg and used it as a springboard to leap over Ruby. Ruby turned just in time to see the white-and-pink-coated figure flip and land. The top of the figure’s head had long pink and brown hair, revealing her identity well before Ruby saw her face.

“Neo?!” Ruby yelped in surprise. The woman lifted her head, revealing her pink eyes. She shot Ruby a wink, turning one of her eyes from strawberry pink to chocolate brown. If there was any doubt before, that was well and truly gone now. Ruby knew that Neo was a slippery fighter, so the original flail plan went out the window as she tossed her bag aside. At the very least, she had one hell of a height advantage now, as Neo only barely came up to her chest. With any luck, Ruby could put her muscular arms and legs to use to attack while staying out of Neo’s range. In a puff of rose petals, Ruby worked her powerful legs and shot down the alleyway to tackle her diminutive foe. She thought she had a solid grasp on Neo when, suddenly, the figure she had grappled fell apart, feeling like a large handful of dice and leaving Ruby with just Neo’s coat. Turning back and sliding to a stop, she saw Neo, jacketless with just her corset for a top now, leaning on her parasol and sticking her tongue out at her. Ruby then felt Neo’s coat dissolve in her hands. Ruby put up her hands in a defensive stance, deciding that maybe charging headfirst was what Neo wanted.

The women got into a stare off, Ruby looking ready to fight while Neo looked as cool as ice. Ruby watched Neo like a hawk, waiting for even the slightest movement. When Neo lifted and opened her parasol, obscuring her body as she charged, Ruby put her arms up and countercharged, moving like a battering ram. As Ruby made contact, she felt like she was breaking through a glass window. After a split second, something leathery hit her face and wrapped around it slightly. Ruby let out a muffled yelp and flailed her muscled arms as she skidded to a stop. As soon as she wasn’t moving anymore, Ruby pulled the leather from her face. As soon as she noticed it was brown leather, Ruby had the worrying suspicion that she knew what it was. Unfolding it revealed it to be a pair of pants with a chunky dark belt. Bracing herself, Ruby turned her head to where she suspected Neo would be. Unfortunately, she was right. She saw Neo looking back at her, bent at the hips, leaning over her parasol, wearing just her boots and what appeared to be skimpy but well-coordinated underwear with her corset. Her body was facing away from Ruby, meaning her perky bare rear was pointing right at Ruby. To make things worse, Neo shot Ruby another wink, turning the brown eye back to pink, as she gave herself a spank.

“Whoa, hey!!” Ruby barked as her arms shot up, tossing the pants away moments before they dissipated. “I’m getting some really mixed messages here. What do you want, Neo?” Neo’s eyes lit up with a devilish spark as she grinned. Rising upright, she let the parasol fall to the ground and shatter like glass as she sashayed towards Ruby. Without her pants on, it was now clear that the corset was more of a leotard that exposed her hips, though Ruby didn’t quite understand how it stayed on. Neo reached behind herself and, from out of nowhere, pulled out a stack of cardboard signs. The one facing Ruby read ‘What Neo Wants You To Do To Her’ . With a smug grin, Neo shifted her fingers and let the first sign drop, crashing and shattering against the ground, revealing the lewd words on the sign beneath. Ruby was aghast at the suggestion, and things did not get better with the next sign, or the next one, or any of the following signs as Neo kept waggling her eyebrows suggestively. “People are into… That sounds danger… Is that legal … Is that physically po … Okay, wait, stop stop stop!” Ruby waved her hands at Neo, just in case her words weren’t clear enough. Neo did stop, but she stopped on a sign that read ‘Hold my hand’. “... why couldn’t more of your signs say stuff like that?” Neo looked Ruby dead in the eyes and dropped the sign.

“I am very horny and you are very attractive,” read the sign beneath. Ruby nodded in acknowledgement and acceptance, though not enthusiasm.

“I mean… at least you’re honest… and straightforward,” Ruby mumbled before clearing her throat to refocus herself. “L-look, Neo, I appreciate the… uh… compliment, but I don’t think it’s gonna work out.” Neo shot her a confused look before moving her signs aside to reveal her slender, nubile body. She even gestured with a hand towards her figure in case her point wasn’t clear enough. “It’s not that, I swear. It’s just… uh… There isn’t really a nice way to say this, so I’m gonna have to say something mean, but it’s not because I’m trying to be mean, it’s just that the truth is kinda mean and I’m sorry for that.” Neo pulled her signs back in front of her, revealing new text.

“It’s okay, you can bully me all you want,” the sign now read, the lewd tone made clear by the look on Neo’s face and the waggling of her eyebrows. Ruby let out an annoyed but cute growl before closing her eyes and forcing her face to be neutral as she took a deep breath.

“Neo, you’re Chaotic Evil, and if we’re… gonna do that stuff, you’re gonna have to at least be Chaotic Good, and I know that’s a lot but it’s gonna be too weird for me if you’re still Evil while we’re doing that,” Ruby explained as calmly as she could, aided by very pointedly not reading Neo’s sign as she kept her eyes shut. She heard another shatter, tipping her off that Neo had a new sign for her to read. Ruby mentally braced herself for whatever lewdness the tiny pervert had for her to read and was pleasantly surprised by what instead met her.

“What’s Chaotic Evil?” Neo’s sign read. Ruby’s silver eyes shone with excitement.

“Ooh, it’s this thing from a game my friends and I sometimes play called Grimm & Grottos. So, basically…”

What followed was the nerdiest period of time Neo had ever experienced. She didn’t even know how long it was, the bombardment of nerd stuff rendered time into an endless abyss, with no start, end, or anything else. She had always been listening to this, she would always be listening to this, even before time began and long after the universe fell to inevitable entropy, she would still be listening to this.

If it wasn’t for the way Ruby’s divinely sculpted arms looked when they moved while Ruby talked, Neo would be very, very much reconsidering her plans to have life-changing sex with the newly buff Ruby. Then again, she was listening to all of this without pants on, and she was still considering getting railed by Ruby, so maybe she was the weird one here.

“... so yeah, it’s kinda tricky to quantify, but I think I’m pretty good at telling when something’s Chaotic Good. If you can do that, then I’ll maybe possibly consider it. Got it?” Neo nodded numbly, wishing she didn’t need an alignment change for Ruby to wreck her, but knowing that she was going to have to rethink her lifestyle if she wanted it. She intended to just drop the one sign to reveal the next in the stack, but she instead dropped the whole stack right on her foot. Wincing slightly at the embarrassing mistake, she decided not to bother with the theatrics and just used her Semblance to conjure up a new sign.

“I can still do crimes, right?” Neo’s sign read.

“Yep! It’ll stop you from getting to Lawful Good, but if you do good stuff while doing crimes, then you’ll be able to shift your alignment up to Chaotic Good!” The words on Neo’s sign shifted before Ruby’s eyes as a look of realisation came to Neo.

“Money’s the root of all evil, right?”

“Uh… that depends… but I kinda wanna hear where you’re going with this.”

“I’m going to do crimes to rich evil capitalists.” Ruby gasped with excitement.

“Heck yeah! Do it for the proletariat!” she cheered. She wasn’t sure if she was too loud or just got unlucky, but she immediately heard Yang’s voice from outside the alleyway.

“Ruby?! Where are you?!” Ruby looked towards the sound, then back to Neo, just in time to catch the little flirt blowing her a kiss before collapsing into a pile of pink shards that then disappeared like dust in the wind.

“Ruby! Thank goodness you’re safe,” said Blake from behind Ruby, making the buff woman jump.

“Wah, hi, welcome to this alleyway!” Ruby responded as she turned around to face Blake, right as Yang and Weiss entered the alley, Yang hanging a pair of bags off of each arm and Weiss holding one over her stomach, almost hiding its slight roundedness from the massive breakfast she had that tried to match Ruby’s.

“Ruby, are you okay?” Yang asked, clearly concerned.

“And what was that about the proletariat?” Weiss questioned, also concerned.

“Uh…” Ruby began, not getting off to the strongest of starts, “so, Neo was here, and she attacked me, and I couldn’t hit her, and…”

“Say no more, sis, I know what she’s like to fight,” Yang reassured as she reached up to pat her taller but younger sister’s broad shoulder. “Looks like she let you off easy, though.”

“Yeah, she must’ve heard you guys and ran away,” Ruby explained, leaving out a lot , probably for the best, considering Neo had aggressively propositioned her and hadn’t put in the effort to change her moral alignment yet.

“Heh, I bet there’s no way she could take all four of us!” Yang bragged as she punched her fists together, her shopping bags crashing into each other as they hung from her forearms. Blake nodded in firm agreement while Weiss grumbled quietly. “Buuut I guess it’s too late to find out. Next time, right?”

“I mean, assuming she’s not good by then…” Ruby reasoned, earning some vague concerned but noncommittal noises from Yang.

“I think she’s right, people can change,” Blake piped up as she sidled up next to Ruby, close enough that her arm brushed against Ruby’s.

“... well, it’s you saying it, so, yeah, you’ve got a point,” Yang admitted.

“Does this mean we can go back to Beacon now?” Weiss asked, the unspoken complaint hidden in her tone clear enough for the rest of her team to pick up on. Fortunately for her, they agreed, and back to Beacon they went.

Sitting on the edge of her bed, Pyrrha leaned on the window frame, staring off into the distance and sighing wistfully. Her head was a mess, and she wasn’t clear on whether the complete lack of exciting outside stimulus was helping or making it worse. When the dorm room door opened behind her, Pyrrha actually welcomed the interruption.

“Heya Pyrrha, whatcha sighing wistfully about?” Nora asked as she sauntered over to her bed and flopped face-first onto it. Pyrrha tried to respond, but her brain was spinning too much for her to come up with something that didn’t sound embarrassing. All she could let out was a confused noise, not even proper words. “That bad, huh?” Nora commiserated. Pyrrha let out another sigh and nodded. “Yeah, I get it. I’ve been in kind of a funk today, too. I tried working out to see if that fixed it, but even that didn’t work,” Nora complained, snapping Pyrrha out of her fugue.

“Really?” Pyrrha questioned, flinching from the window and turning to Nora. “But… you love working out, don’t you?”

“It’s a solid top five, somewhere up there for me. But, like, I dunno… eugh,” Nora trailed off and buried her face in the pillow.

“Was something different this time?” Pyrrha asked. Nora lifted her head out of the pillow, a firm thought chiselled into her face.

“Wait… yeah! Ruby wasn’t there! Working out with her was amazing! She pushed me to my limits, it made me feel so alive! Even when I felt like my arms and legs were jelly, it felt so darn good,” Nora rambled before her expression turned downcast. “Aww, but she’s out today. Maaaaan, I guess I miss working out with her. That… makes a lot of sense,” Nora thought out loud. Hearing that sent Pyrrha's thoughts racing too.

‘Do… do I want that too? For someone like Ruby to push me to my limits? She did beat me in that match earlier this week, so maybe… maybe I want someone who can challenge me… just like Nora does.’

“Hey, Pyrrha, you okay?” Nora called out, snapping Pyrrha back out of her thoughts.

“Oh, sorry, I got a bit distracted,” Pyrrha sheepishly responded.

“That’s okay, I just wanted to thank you for letting me ramble. It really helped me figure out what’s up with me,” Nora chirped. “I’m gonna message Ruby right now! That should help. Now, do you wanna talk about what’s up with you? Seems only fair,” she added.

“I appreciate it, but… I think this is something I need to think about privately first,” Pyrrha deflected. She was surprised it worked, as Nora’s only immediate response was a hug.

“That’s okay, we can talk when you’re ready,” Nora said softly as she gave Pyrrha a gentle pat on the back. Such sincerity caught Pyrrha off guard, and she almost considered spilling the beans immediately, but no, she wasn’t ready for that, especially since she wasn’t entirely certain of how she felt yet.

‘Whatever it is,’ Pyrrha thought, ‘it sounds an awful lot like Nora feels it too…’

Notes:

Hey, been a while with this one, hasn't it? I've been trying to figure out where to take this for a while and wasn't getting anywhere, so I figured I'd post this just so something's out there.

I'm down to hear suggestions for further parts, because my plan for this story isn't as rock solid as I thought it was, beyond the general end goal. So, yeah.

Notes:

This is a serious fetish fic for serious fetish people. Nah, just kidding. I can’t write evil properly to save my life, so I hope you enjoy the ‘villains’ being on the silly side.

Also, this story was written for Disturbed-Yui on DeviantArt. Originally gonna be a full series they were getting me to write but they bailed after the 2nd chapter for reasons unrelated to my fic so now this fic is mine).
