Chapter 1: Into the Lion's Den
Chapter Text
Izuku stood before the doors of the Todoroki mansion. It was a traditional style home. Wooden columns and tiled roofs with steepled slopes made it seem old, distinguished, and intimidating. It was, in a way, the perfect home for the number 2 hero of Japan. At the same time, it was also a strange choice. Endeavor was a powerful hero with a flame quirk. A traditional house of wood, paper, and earth would be vulnerable to his power.
Maybe that was the point. A way to train himself to have total control over his quirk so that he didn’t burn his home down. It would make sense, in a way. That kind of thing seemed in line with the kind of person Endeavor was.
There was a brief moment a few years ago when he garnered a great deal of sympathy. His mate died in childbirth to give him his four pups. There was significant outpouring of sympathy, but he hadn’t spoken much about it or his children. They would be 5 or 6 now. Endeavor was at the height of his career as a pro hero, still as imposing as he had always been.
As usual, Izuku’s mind was overanalyzing everything related to heroes. Despite the fact that he never developed a quirk, his admiration for heroes never dwindled. Endeavor was well known for his brusque and intimidating demeanor. He was the number 2 hero, just behind All Might, but he was about as different from All Might as a hero could be.
Izuku couldn’t have imagined himself coming here a few years ago. He had to find work somewhere, though, and being a personal assistant for the number 2 hero would be an amazing opportunity no matter which way he sliced it.
He took a deep breath and knocked on the front door. A moment later, a servant or worker or something showed up at the door. Izuku decided he must be a butler due to his formal dress. He wore a suit and had a mild-mannered look. He was also balding and had a slim grey mustache on an otherwise clean-shaven face. He seemed the sort who would be a good fit for Endeavor.
“Uh, Midoriya Izuku here for the interview for the office assistant position.”
“Ah, of course, right this way,” the butler said. “Please take off your shoes here. Master Todoroki does not approve of shoes in the residence.”
Izuku nodded and slipped his shoes off to set them neatly by the door with rows of other shoes. The inside looked exactly how Izuku expected. Everything was neat and ordered and evoked the image of an old and powerful family. Even the garden in and around the estate seemed rigorously manicured. It was, he imagined, how the shoguns would’ve lived back when they were at the height of their power.
Was that how Endeavor saw himself? As the leader of the people’s and heroes’ efforts against villains? It would certainly make sense. He had the highest number of villains captured and cases solved of any hero, even All Might. A person like that didn’t get to where he was by being sloppy or lax.
The butler led him through hallway after hallway. The home was largely empty aside from various staff that walked around silently. Finally, the butler stopped in front of a door. Right outside it was a clear view of the garden. Various trees and rocks dotted the landscape with brutal precision. He knocked on the door.
“Master Todoroki, young Midoriya is here for the interview.”
Wait, Izuku thought. Todoroki Enji himself is interviewing me?? Why?? I’m just interviewing for an assistant job, surely a lower level manager would be the interviewer. What do I do? What do I say? Don’t mention All Might, that’s obvious, he hates All Might. Don’t do anything stupid or anything.
He swallowed hard.
“Send him through,” Endeavor’s unmistakable resonant voice replied.
The butler opened the door for Izuku without a word. Izuku went inside just as wordlessly. He resisted the urge to fix his suit or his unruly hair. He simply walked forward to stand in front of the massive wooden desk.
The room was… austere was the only way to describe it. It reflected the intensity and severity of its owner. Black couches sat in front of the desk. A rack of folders that probably held case notes were neatly organized on one side of the three sided desk. Shelves lined the wall behind the desk that were filled with books, folders, and binders. The desk, shelves, and tables in the room were all made of the same dark wood.
Endeavor himself wasn’t actually facing Izuku. He was looking out a large window that had a view of a rock garden. He didn’t bother with his signature flames, aside from the ones on his face. Instead, he was dressed in an expensive three-piece suit. He propped his head on one hand and looked bored.
“The one who usually does these interviews is sick,” Endeavor said. “That’s the only reason I’m here.”
His alpha scent filled the room. It was a sharp, masculine scent. It smelled like leather and hinoki. It also smelled familiar somehow, but he tamped that down. He would’ve remembered meeting Endeavor at some point, surely. The man was memorable and not just because he had one of the most powerful and intimidating presences Izuku had ever felt. Something about him just demanded attention.
“I understand, sir,” Izuku said. He hoped that his own scent was properly masked. It was considered uncouth to have a strong scent in public in Japan, but that didn’t mean people had no scent. He would hate to make a bad impression, especially with the interview happening in Endeavor's own home.
“Have you ever worked as a personal assistant before, boy?” Endeavor asked.
“N-No, sir. I just graduated from high school, you see.”
“And why do you think you can be my personal assistant?” Endeavor asked.
“I-I’m a very organized person,” Izuku said. “I excelled in keeping the student government organization on top of all our tasks. And I scored in the 95th percentile for strategic thinking and analytics. I also follow the hero community very closely, so I’m up to date on everything that goes on in that world.”
“Everything that the government and the media tells you, you mean,” Endeavor said. “Though I suppose if you were my personal assistant that would mean you would know more.”
“Yes, I suppose so,” Izuku replied.
“Still, is a student government position supposed to impress me?” Endeavor said. “I need someone to keep track of all the things I don’t have time to keep track of as soon as I ask. Do you have any other experience that will make you worth my time?”
“Y-Yes, s-sir, I also worked as an office assistant during high school,” he said. “My specialty was organizing schedules for the people in charge. I have references.”
“I’m sure you do,” Endeavor said. He sounded bored. He turned his flaming face to regard Izuku. His gaze was so intense that Izuku immediately cast his own eyes down. “I don’t have time to bring someone up to speed. The job will be 24/7. You won’t get regular time off since I don’t know when I’ll be called to fight a villain. How can you be sure that you’ll be an asset and not a hindrance?”
Izuku scrambled to think of something. The interview wasn’t going well and if he wanted to make a good impression, he needed to think of something quickly. He looked down at the desk and saw something peculiar. It was a go board. The pieces were put away, but the grid layout was unmistakable. It was a well-known fact that many of the top heroes played the game. All Might didn’t, but he was considered an oddity in that respect. Endeavor in particular was considered a skilled player internationally.
“Go,” Izuku said.
“What are you on about?” Endeavor asked.
“We’ll play a game,” Izuku said. “I’ll show you my skills that way. No handicap.”
Endeavor considered Izuku silently. His gaze bored into him. The flames seemed to become more intense. They flared as he smirked.
“You’ve got guts, I’ll give you that,” he said. “Fine. If you can beat me, I’ll hire you.”
“Deal,” Izuku said. Endeavor actually laughed.
“Boy, I don’t know if you’re brave or foolhardy, but I like it,” he said.
They set up the game board on the coffee table between the two couches in front of the desk. It was a fast, complex game on a board with a 19 by 19 grid. 181 black pieces and 180 white pieces. The goal was to conquer as much territory on the board as possible and capture enemy stones. Izuku had played since he was a boy.
“Since you’re the challenger, I’ll give you the benefit of choosing your color,” Endeavor said.
“White,” Izuku said.
“Suit yourself,” Endeavor replied. He tossed Izuku the white bag. Without further ado, he placed a black stone on the board. Izuku responded in kind with a white stone.
The game was quick, one of the fastest Izuku had played. Endeavor was also a skilled player, well deserving of his position on the international stage. His strategy was aggressive and Izuku was forced to adapt quickly to avoid losing too many stones. Within 15 minutes, half their pieces were on the board. It was impossible to tell who was winning.
To make matters worse, Izuku himself had to play with Endeavor’s alpha scent filling the room. He actively pushed it out of his mind. It was just another thing to play against. If he lost, he couldn’t very well blame it on his opponent’s scent.
As the game progressed, it slowed. Endeavor began to consider his moves more carefully. His play style was still aggressive and Izuku had to push himself to match it. After one move, Endeavor took almost 5 minutes to make his next move. When Izuku looked up, he saw Endeavor studying him.
“You’re skilled,” Endeavor said.
“Thank you, sir,” Izuku replied.
“Have we met at a tournament somewhere?” he asked.
“No, I don’t believe so,” Izuku said. Endeavor hummed as if in thought. “Why?”
“You smell familiar,” Endeavor said.
“Strange, I thought the same when I came here,” Izuku said.
“Funny coincidence,” Endeavor said nonchalantly. He placed his stone on the board. Izuku was prepared. He reexamined the board, though, just to be sure, and placed his stone on a space where he could capture a good portion of Endeavor’s stones. The hero grunted in annoyance.
It took another half an hour for the game to end. They started scoring. With each passing moment, Izuku found it harder to concentrate. He was starting to feel hot and feverish. Still, he managed to keep himself alert so that he could pay attention to the score.
“You win,” Endeavor said. “By a single point.”
“Wow, I can’t believe it,” Izuku said. “That game was the most intense I’ve ever had.”
“Yes, you’ve clearly proven your skills,” Endeavor said. He stood. “A deal’s a deal. When can you start?”
“I need a week to get my affairs in order,” Izuku said. “I’ll probably move closer to make the commute easier.”
“Very well, you have two weeks to find a place and get settled,” Endeavor said. “I expect great things from you, boy.”
With that, he returned to the desk. Izuku bowed and thanked him for the opportunity before he left. The butler met him outside the door and congratulated him as he escorted Izuku to the door.
The entire way home, Izuku made himself keep it together. He felt warmer and warmer as time went on. If he didn’t know better, he would say that he was going into heat. That was ridiculous though. He’d just had a heat two months ago and wasn’t due to have another one for a while. It was too soon.
By the time he got home, though, it was clear that he was, in fact, going into heat. His mother was away at work. He texted her about his success at getting the job. She would probably cry with happiness.
Izuku stripped out of his suit and hung it up. Hopefully his scent wasn’t powerful enough to have seeped into the clothes yet. As soon as he was naked, he flopped into his bed. All Might paraphernalia filled his room. Endeavor would probably not be impressed in the least if he saw it.
Izuku couldn’t get the thought of Endeavor out of his head. His scent still filled Izuku’s nostrils. It was like the scent itself clung to Izuku like a shroud. He rolled over and went to sleep. It would be hard to come by in the next few days so he might as well get what sleep he could.
His mother arrived home earlier than usual. As soon as she saw what was going on with her son, she began fussing. It was a strange mix of pride and worry that she always seemed to specialize in. Izuku managed to help out. He still couldn’t get Endeavor’s scent out of his nose, but he was able to ignore it. It was probably nothing, after all.
He hadn’t told his mother that Endeavor was the one to interview him and that he got the job by beating him at go. She was proud enough, but he didn’t want to brag. It wasn’t in his nature.
By the time the sun went down, though, he was on the cusp of his heat. His mother made him soup and left to stock up on food for the week. It took them both by surprise and they weren’t prepared. Izuku put together a hasty nest and settled in. Slick dripped down his thighs from his ass. He wasn’t feeling desperately horny yet, but he probably wasn’t that far from it.
His reverie was interrupted by someone knocking on the door loudly. He sighed and got up. There was no one else around to open the door. He dressed himself in a pair of gym shorts and a t-shirt and went outside. Whoever was knocking at the door knocked again. It was hard and urgent.
“Coming,” Izuku called. He went to the door, unlocked it, and opened it. The scent hit him first. It was stronger and sharper than before and it hit him like a brick wall. There, in full costume, was Endeavor himself.
“You, boy,” he said. “What did you think you were doing?”
“What?” Izuku asked.
“You came to my home in heat, didn’t you?” Endeavor growled. “Did you think that you could use your scent to get a cozy job with me?”
“I wasn't in heat!” Izuku said. He glared up at the hero. “I didn’t even--”
“Don’t you lie to me, boy,” Endeavor growled. “I’ve smelled your scent ever since you came to the interview today and now I’ve tracked you to find you’re going into heat as we speak.”
“What do you want then?” Izuku asked.
“You sent me into pre-rut,” Endeavor said. “Was this your strategy? You should know that I have no intention of honoring our deal if you tricked me into hiring you.”
“I didn’t do a thing, I swear!” Izuku replied. “I didn’t start having symptoms of pre-heat until I left! I’m way early, too, I’m not supposed to have another heat for at least a month.”
“Are you certain? Could you have miscalculated?” Endeavor asked.
“I’m sure,” Izuku said. He didn’t bother mentioning that if he could beat Endeavor in go, he could probably accurately calculate when his next heat would be. Meanwhile, Endeavor regarded him in silence. Flames covered his limbs as intense as the look in his eyes.
“Then we must have triggered each other’s cycles,” he said.
“Alphas and omegas don’t just trigger each other’s cycles,” Izuku said. “That only exists in fairy tales.”
“Indeed,” Endeavor said. “Only true mates do that.”
“Well, same thing,” Izuku replied. “Now if you’ll excuse me, boss, I’m going to endure my heat. I’ll need another week before I start.”
He turned away to close the door before Endeavor put a hand to stop it. Izuku looked up at him. He wanted to growl… but Endeavor’s scent just made him whine. He had the irresistible urge to bend over, to present to this specimen of an alpha. Endeavor’s scent was so thick he could practically taste it.
“What’s your name?” Endeavor asked. The question took Izuku back.
“Midoriya Izuku,” he said.
“Well, young Midoriya, you have a choice,” Endeavor said. “If you’re telling the truth and didn’t start having symptoms of pre-heat until we met, then the only explanation is that you’re my true mate.”
“True mates don’t exist,” Izuku scoffed. Endeavor growled fiercely.
“They do. I’ve known a few,” Endeavor said. “They all say the same thing: meeting your true mate triggers your cycle. Doesn’t matter when it was. It always triggers.”
“Oh,” Izuku said.
“You have a choice,” Endeavor repeated. “You can stay here and endure your heat alone. I will give you a different job within my agency with the same pay and benefits and we will never see each other again. Or you can come with me and become my mate.”
“Become your mate?” Izuku asked.
“Are you always this dense during your heat?” Endeavor asked. “Yes. I won’t lie. It won’t be a fairytale. I’m not an easy man to be with. I’m rude and demanding. I have a traditional home and I would demand a traditional omega. I expect obedience and submission. If I come to love you, I won’t be the kind of alpha who wastes time on poetic nonsense. But if you do become my omega, I promise to take care of you, to look after you in my own way. I will protect what’s mine and you will live a life of ease and comfort. Any family you have will also be cared for, if you wish it.”
It was honest, if not the sort of proposal Izuku had always imagined. That was something he could expect from this particular alpha, that he would be honest. It wasn’t that he wasn’t attracted to Endeavor. He was, the man was the epitome of alpha strength and virility. His very scent dripped with it.
“People will talk,” Izuku said. “I’m barely 18 and you’re 30. Also, you have pups already. Would you… want that from me?”
“Let them talk. What the media thinks of me doesn’t concern me,” Endeavor said. “As for our age, I did not choose my true mate. As for pups, just because I have some now does not mean I don’t want more. Besides, it’s believed that true mates have offspring with stronger quirks.”
“Well, I don’t have a quirk, so who knows what will happen?” Izuku replied.
“Is that so?” Endeavor asked.
“Yes, but I have a few things I’ll need from you if you’re going to be my alpha,” Izuku said.
“Name them,” Endeavor said.
“If we do have pups, you’re not going to leave me to raise them by myself,” Izuku said. “You have to be a father and a husband, not just a hero. I’ll support you, but you have to support me, too, and not just with room and board.”
Endeavor set his jaw and nodded. “I will do my best, for what that’s worth. I can’t promise better than that.”
“Fine,” Izuku said. “I also want to be seen as your mate. I won’t accept being your secret. If I’m going to support you, I want the world to see me doing it.”
Endeavor smirked down at him. “You do have guts. Done. My late wife, Rei, didn’t care for the spotlight, but if you aren’t afraid of it, then fine.”
“Good,” Izuku said.
“Are we done negotiating?” Endeavor asked. “My rut will start soon at this rate.”
“Yeah, I’m done,” Izuku said.
“Then what’s your decision?”
“I’ll… I’ll do it,” Izuku said. “I’ll be your omega.”
Endeavor smiled triumphantly. The flames around him died as he reached down and slung Izuku over his shoulder. Izuku yelped in surprise as he was thrown over like a rag doll. It felt amazing though. This close, he could smell Endeavor even more. His scent was intoxicating.
“Do you need to bring anything with you?” Endeavor asked.
“No, I don’t really have much that’s important here.”
“Well that makes things simple.”
As Endeavor walked calmly down the steps of Izuku’s home, he heard a gasp. He recognized it as his mother’s and he twisted to look over Endeavor’s shoulder. She looked shocked and scandalized and Izuku realized that he hadn’t even thought about her during his conversation with Endeavor, his soon-to-be alpha.
“What are you doing with my boy?” she demanded.
“Taking him home to be mated,” Endeavor said.
“Uh, maybe that’s not the best way to break the news to her,” Izuku said.
“Quiet,” Endeavor replied.
“Mom, it’s fine, he’s my true mate,” Izuku said.
“What?!” she cried. “But… he’s too young!”
“Not according to the law, and he consented to the arrangement,” Endeavor said. “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of him.”
“It’s okay, mom, I did agree and besides, he’s the number 2 hero! Don’t worry about me!”
“O-Okay,” she said. He could see the tears welling in her eyes even from this distance. Her ability to cry the way she did (and he did, to be honest) was probably on par with a quirk. “Y-You take care of my boy, Endeavor!”
Endeavor just grunted and nodded before he launched into the sky with his fire quirk. Even with the wind and the altitude, Izuku felt perfectly warm. Maybe that was a mix of his pre-heat and Endeavor’s quirk, but it felt amazing. From what he could tell, they were heading straight to Endeavor’s mansion, which meant that the flight would likely be disappointingly brief, but that was something he could accept.
Endeavor landed in the middle of his home in the garden without burning a single blade of grass. The amount of control that he needed over his quirk to manage that was honestly astounding. Endeavor marched through the halls of his home with a single purpose. Staff bowed politely as he passed them without comment.
They finally reached a room on the top floor. It was less a room, though, and more an entire floor, from what Izuku could tell when Endeavor pushed in. The entire space seemed to exist for his use. It was just as austere as his office with a low bed set on the tatami floor. Endeavor set him down on the bed with surprising gentleness.
He then proceeded to rip Izuku’s clothes off with surprising ease. Not just his shirt, either, but also his pants and even his underwear. Izuku gasped as the cool air met his skin.
“Relax,” Endeavor said. “I’ll buy you more clothes later.”
“Just… try to avoid that in the future,” Izuku said. “I don’t have a lot of money.”
“You do now,” Endeavor said.
He walked to the side of the room and drew aside a door that revealed a closet. Even in the throws of his pre-rut, he took his hero gear off and set it aside meticulously. Izuku watched as more and more of his body was revealed. There were scars, of course. Endeavor had been in more than his fair share of difficult fights and his body bore the proof of them.
With his fires out, Izuku could better see his alpha’s muscular body. Every part of his body was thick. Izuku’s eyes were glued to one specific place, however. Endeavor’s crotch. The cloth strained to contain his hardening cock. It looked huge already, not that Izuku had seen much with which to compare it.
“What should I call you?” Izuku asked.
“Alpha or Sir in public. You may also call me Enji in private,” Enji replied. “I will likely call you Omega in public.”
“Not baby or honey or something?” Izuku asked.
“No,” Enji said. He finished hanging his hero suit and turned back towards Izuku. He wore only a white tank top and blue boxer briefs with flames on them. “I told you before not to expect stuff like that from me.”
“I don’t think I would expect you to call me that either,” Izuku said with a laugh. It was meant to calm him, but it still sounded nervous to his ear.
He was shaking. Enji approached him with an almost predatory gait. Izuku could feel his heart pounding in his chest as Enji stopped at the edge of the bed. He put a hand in Izuku’s hair and started scratching his scalp. Izuku closed his eyes. It felt amazing and it helped to soothe his nerves somewhat.
“Our cycles are not in full swing yet,” he said. “If there is anything you want to know or tell me, now is the time to say it.”
“I… I’m a v-virgin,” Izuku said. “N-Never done this before.”
“Good,” Enji replied. The hand in Izuku’s hair tightened around his hair. His hand was so big that he seemed to grab all of the hair on the top of Izuku’s head. “I don’t like to share. Ever. You’re mine, omega. You belong to me.”
That really shouldn’t have awoken something in Izuku, but considering the way his hole clenched and his cock twitched at that statement, it definitely did. He whined as he looked at Enji. From this angle, he was even more of an alpha. He was just as intimidating as he was with his flames.
Enji reached down with his other hand and trailed a thumb over Izuku’s lips. Izuku shivered and gasped at how rough it felt. Even his fingertips radiated strength. As soon as his mouth was open, Enji pushed his thumb inside. Izuku sucked on the digit as best he could as he stared up at Enji, whose face was impassive. He simply stroked Izuku’s tongue with the pad of his thumb.
He slowly worked his way to the back of Izuku’s mouth. Izuku tried to resist his gag reflex. He failed. Enji pulled his thumb out of Izuku’s mouth.
“We will work on that,” he said.
“Do I… please you, alpha?” Izuku asked. Enji let go of Izuku’s hair and let his fingers trail down the side of Izuku’s face.
“You do,” he said, almost soft enough to not be heard. Izuku felt his face heat even more than it was already.
“Please, alpha,” Izuku said. “Tell me.”
“You please me,” Enji said more clearly. Even that seemed like a lot from him. “Your… your eyes are… beautiful.”
Izuku blinked up at him. Enji’s hard face softened by a fraction. It was the first time that Izuku felt like Enji really showed his true feelings. He pushed himself up on his knees and set his hands on Enji’s hips.
“You please me, too, alpha,” Izuku said.
Enji bent down and kissed him. It wasn’t a gentle kiss by any means. It was rough and demanding and brutal. It was also only the second kiss that Izuku had ever experienced. He once kissed a beta behind the gym at school. It wasn’t really a kiss, it was more a peck on the lips.
This kiss felt like he was enduring purgatory. It burned his lips. It scalded his tongue. He loved every second of it. He kissed back as best he could, but it was hard to follow the pace Enji set. Enji’s tongue tasted bitter like black coffee. Izuku found it addicting from the first kiss.
Enji pushed him back on the bed until Izuku fell back against the mattress. It was a firm bed, like the man who covered him effortlessly. Enji moved off Izuku’s mouth and kissed down his neck. He sucked hard and Izuku whined. He tried to keep quiet until Enji growled.
“Louder,” he said. “I want to know how much of a whore my omega will be for me.”
That was another thing that really shouldn’t have made Izuku horny, but it did. Enji sucked harder on his neck near his collarbone and Izuku moaned loudly. Enji growled in approval as he moved down Izuku’s body. His rough fingers toyed with Izuku’s nipples and Izuku released a high pitched gasp.
“So your nipples are sensitive,” Enji murmured. “Good. I’ll take advantage of that when you’re round with my pups.”
“A-A-Alpha,” Izuku cried.
“That’s it,” Enji said. Izuku could feel Enji grinning against his skin. “Such a whore and I’m not even inside you yet.”
“P-Please…”
“None of that,” Enji said. “Don’t beg. Just take what your alpha gives you.”
“Y-Yes, Sir,” Izuku said. He squirmed and moaned beneath Enji as he flicked and licked Izuku’s nipples. Enji’s fingers were hot against his sensitive skin. Even with his heat coming, he felt hot. He could feel Enji’s heat slowly wandering down his body until it reached his groin.
“You’re leaking already,” Enji growled softly. His fingers teased the head of Izuku’s cock roughly and Izuku whimpered. “Don’t act like you don’t love it. Such a filthy slut. A bitch in heat.”
“Unnh yes, Sir,” Izuku said.
“You learn quickly,” Enji said. He rose on his knees and Izuku nearly came from the sight of him. He looked so powerful and dominant. He was pure, unadulterated alpha power. “Present for your alpha, omega.”
Izuku scrambled to obey. He rolled over and presented for Enji, who hummed as though he was assessing Izuku.
“You’re eager, at least,” he said. “We will work on your grace and form.”
“Thank you, alpha,” Izuku said.
“Good boy,” Enji said. He pressed down on Izuku’s back and made him arch more. He also spread Izuku’s legs a bit more. “I expect excellence from those around me, and I will expect more from you.”
“I’ll be good for you, alpha,” Izuku said.
“I’ll make sure of it,” Enji said. With that, he knelt down and spread Izuku’s ass cheeks. Izuku expected something, but nothing happened. He turned to look back. As soon as he did, Enji smacked his ass so hard he yelped. “Eyes forward.”
“Yes, alpha!” Izuku said. His limbs shook and his hole clenched with need. Enji didn’t do anything, though. His large hands squeezed Izuku’s cheeks. Izuku resisted the urge to look back, though.
“You can obey. That’s good,” Enji said. With that, he stroked one finger along Izuku’s perineum and let it glide over his hole. Izuku released a strangled moan. “Sensitive, too.”
“Thank you, Sir,” Izuku said. “P-Please give me…”
Enji smacked his ass again and Izuku cut off the rest of his sentence. His hand was so rough and hard and it stung every time it hit him. It also felt amazing, though for some reason.
“Forgetful. I’ll have fun with that,” Enji growled lowly. The sound made Izuku shiver and he felt slick drip from his hole down his balls and then his thighs. "You enjoy this. Just a bit of spanking and a few words is all it takes? Such a slut for your alpha already."
"Y-Yes, alpha," Izuku said. Enji smacked his ass again and Izuku moaned. “Thank you, alpha.”
Enji hemmed and Izuku felt him shift. A moment later, one of Enji’s thick fingers entered Izuku’s body. Izuku moaned loudly as Enji pushed his finger into him slowly. When it grazed over what Izuku assumed to be his prostate, Izuku moaned even louder. He squeezed around the digit even as Enji continued to push it further inside him.
“Relax,” Enji said. The command itself sounded strange, but Izuku found himself sinking into the headspace of wanting to please his alpha. “You’ll have to take something much bigger than my fingers before long.”
“W-What if it won’t fit?” Izuku asked.
“I’ll make it fit,” Enji said. Izuku whined and arched his back further. Enji began to fuck him just with that finger. He didn’t stroke Izuku’s prostate every time, but when he did, it was like electric shocks of pleasure jolted through Izuku’s body.
Whether he was ready or not, Enji added a second finger. The stretch burned slightly and Izuku found himself pushing back against Enji’s hand. He wasn’t sure whether he would get another spank from the movement. He wasn't even sure if he wanted to avoid that or not. Either way, nothing happened. Enji just chuckled, a sound that seemed to resonate from deep within him.
“You’re so tight,” Enji growled. “I can’t remember the last time I had a hole this tight to fuck.”
Izuku wasn’t sure what to say to that, so he just moaned. It was getting hard to think. The haze of arousal from his heat setting made it almost impossible. He was running on instinct. Submit. Obey. Please Alpha. Each time he breathed he could smell Enji’s scent and each time he smelled it the only thing he could think of was how good an alpha he would be, how strong, how capable. Beneath all that was the sense of familiarity, like this was where he belonged.
Enji added a third finger and Izuku cried at the stretch. He cursed the fact that he was an easy crier, but Enji just smirked when he saw it.
“A bit of a cry baby, are you? Does it feel so good to finally be filled that you can’t help but sob?”
Izuku sniffed. “I-It hurts, Sir,” he said. Enji stopped moving.
“Do you want me to stop?” he asked.
“N-No, Sir,” Izuku said. “I-It f-feels good.”
“Good,” Enji said.
He resumed fucking Izuku’s ass with his fingers. Izuku already felt so full he could hardly stand it. Each time Enji thrust in with his fingers, they went deeper. Each time they went deeper, Izuku’s ass stretched. He could feel their warmth, too. Even with his quirk inactive, Enji was warm to the touch everywhere and Izuku could feel that warmth inside him now. It was the most incredible and arousing thing he’d ever felt in his life.
Abruptly, Enji withdrew his fingers from Izuku’s ass. Izuku whimpered at the loss as Enji moved away. Izuku looked to see Enji fishing a bottle of lube out of a bedside table. He had removed his shirt and Izuku’s eyes wandered down the vast expanse of Enji’s muscled chest. Enji caught him staring and removed his boxer briefs without an ounce of ceremony. His large cock sprang out and Izuku’s mouth went dry. It was a long, thick length the size of Izuku’s forearm. His reverie was interrupted when Enji smacked his ass again, harder than the last two times.
“I said eyes forward,” he growled. “I won’t say it again, boy.”
“Y-Yes, Sir,” Izuku stammered. He gulped. “Are you… Are you sure that’ll fit?”
“Yes,” Enji said. “One way or another. You will become accustomed to its size in time. I am an alpha of frequent need.”
“Like… every day?” Izuku asked. Enji laughed. It was a loud, full-bellied laugh.
“No, boy,” he said. Izuku heard the cap open and Enji lubing up his cock behind him. He resisted the urge to look, though. There was no way of knowing whether Enji would make a punishment fun or not. Finally, he felt the head of Enji’s cock at his hole. “I mean multiple times a day, even outside my rut.”
Without waiting for a response, Enji pushed his cock into Izuku’s ass. Izuku cried out at the sudden thrust. It was easily as thick as three of Enji’s fingers. Enji also placed a hand firmly between Izuku’s shoulder blades as he pushed in.
“Fuck!” Izuku cried. Enji laughed.
“So a sweet, innocent virgin like you can curse,” he said.
He squeezed Izuku’s ass with his free hand as he pushed forward another inch. It felt like Izuku’s body was being hollowed out to make room for Enji. His entire body seemed to sing, though. It was like he could feel Enji’s hellflame quirk filling him up from the inside. It could just be his heat, but he had no way of knowing. He reached back and gripped the hand that was wrapped around his hip like a vice.
“It’s so big, Sir,” he moaned. “F-F-Fuck, it’s s-so much.”
“You love it,” Enji said as though there was absolutely no doubt in his mind that Izuku did, in fact, love it.
“Y-Yes, Sir,” he whimpered. “D-Don’t stop, please.”
“What kind of request is that?” Enji asked. He pushed forward another inch. Izuku couldn’t imagine how much was left to go. “You think I would stop now? Let you leave? Let another alpha have what’s mine?”
He growled fiercely. Izuku could swear he felt the vibrations of it through his body.
“No,” Enji said. “You belong to me, Izuku. My omega.”
“Yes, Alpha. Yours,” Izuku said.
As he said it, Enji bottomed out. Izuku felt Enji’s body meet his ass and he looked up to see Enji looking down at him. His pupils were dilated so that his irises looked black. He still looked fierce, but from this angle, it looked more like determination. It wasn’t hard. It was more like he was determined to live up to that very declaration. Izuku relaxed beneath him at last and smiled up at Enji.
“Yours,” he said. Enji smiled as well. It didn’t do much to make him seem less intimidating, but it was something.
Enji began to rock into him. His thick cock grazed over Izuku’s prostate with every movement. It reached so far into Izuku’s body that he was sure that Enji’s cock reached his stomach. Izuku whimpered from the pleasure that made his whole body light up like fireworks.
Enji grunted with each thrust. With each thrust, his pace grew faster and harder. His tight control over himself could be slowly eroding, but either way, Izuku couldn't help but moan and whine and whimper with each sensation.
"Fuck, you're so tight," Enji groaned. He snapped his hips forward. "And you're all mine. I'll fill you up with pups, keep you full and satisfied."
"Yes, Alpha, please, give me pups," Izuku whined. "Please, I wanna have your pups. Want everyone to know that I have the best alpha around."
Enji growled in approval and began fucking Izuku faster. Izuku cried out at the brutal pace at which Enji drilled his ass. He moved his hand from Izuku’s shoulders to grip the other side of his hips. His hands wrapped all the way around Izuku’s waist.
"I can feel myself in you," Enji said. He sounded smug and Izuku looked up over his shoulder.
"Wha-What do you mean?"
Instead of answering the question, Enji pulled out completely. Izuku whined at the loss, which made Enji smirk.
"A regular knotslut already," Enji said. "You were made to be mine, boy."
He flipped Izuku over on his back and spread his legs. Izuku stared up at his alpha. As much as the first position felt amazing, he was sure that he could come just from the image of Enji naked and aroused over him. He instinctively wrapped his legs around Enji’s waist as Enji pushed back inside him with a single long thrust.
As he did, Izuku looked down at his own slim body. He'd never managed to put on much muscle as an omega. Still, none of that prepared him for the sight he saw. As Enji bottomed out, there was a prominent bulge in Izuku’s stomach. He reached down with a tentative hand and touched it. Enji groaned as he ground against Izuku’s ass.
"Oh shit," Izuku breathed. "Can you… feel that?"
"Yes," Enji said. "You think another alpha could make you feel that?"
"No, Alpha," Izuku said. "Never. You're the best. Best alpha. Fuck, you're gonna split me in half with your cock, I love it!"
Enji surged forward and captured Izuku’s mouth in another fiery kiss as he began fucking Izuku’s ass again in earnest. It was fast and rough. Izuku moaned into Enji’s mouth. He reached down to touch himself only for Enji to grip his wrist tightly. His hand was hot, almost searingly so.
"No," Enji said. "I make you come. No one else. You don't touch yourself."
Izuku swallowed. "Yes, Alpha."
"You are mine," Enji said. "Your hole is mine."
He snapped his hips in a brutal thrust for emphasis.
"You mouth is mine," Enji said. He used his other hand to push two fingers to the back of Izuku’s mouth. Izuku gagged on the digits but Enji still took a moment to remove them.
"Your pathetic little omega cock belongs to me, too," Enji said. "And I don't let anyone touch what's mine. Understand?"
Izuku nodded. For good measure, Enji grabbed Izuku’s wrists and pinned them above his head. He fucked into Izuku’s body faster.
"You're going to come on my cock and nothing else," Enji said. "Nothing."
"Yes, Sir," Izuku said.
Enji pistoned his hips like they were a machine. His grip on Izuku’s wrists didn't relent. Izuku moaned and whimpered as tears slid down his face from all the pleasure. He arched his back and squeezed around Enji’s cock. He could feel the knot starting to catch on the rim of his ass.
"Come, gonna gonna come, Enji," Izuku moaned. "Fuck, I'm close!"
"Do it," Enji growled. "Come for your Alpha, Izuku."
Enji paused to shift them. He slung Izuku’s legs over his shoulders and resumed his rough, demanding pace. The new position made Enji’s cock hit Izuku’s prostate with every thrust with incredible precision. Izuku cried out. His body squeezed around Enji’s cock and his come exploded from his cock. His stomach was covered in his thin, translucent come. Enji roared as his knot popped and his come shot into Izuku’s body.
At the same time, he surged down so that Izuku was almost bent in half. Enji sank his teeth into Izuku’s scent glands. As soon as he did, Izuku's mind went blank. There was only pleasure, lightning, fire, pain. It was completely satisfying.
He wasn't sure how long they lay like that. Around the time when it started getting uncomfortable, though, Enji released him and kissed the wound.
Izuku could feel the connection between them. It was… strange. Not what he always imagined, certainly. He didn't immediately understand what Enji was feeling. He could sense it, but it was like a warm, intense feeling in his mind. All he knew was that it was Enji who was the source of that feeling.
"Wow," he breathed. Enji hummed against him. He released Izuku’s wrists. Izuku pulled them down to massage them and found a bright red mark on them, like they had been burned or something. He looked up at Enji.
"It can happen when I'm aroused," Enji said. "It should go down in a few days."
"I love it," Izuku said. Enji blinked and smiled slightly. He gathered Izuku into his arms and stood up. "W-What are you doing??"
"Summoning the staff," Enji said. He walked over to the side of the room. Each step made his knot press against Izuku’s prostate. Izuku whined at the feeling as he clung to his alpha. "I'm starving."
He rang a small gong on the other side of the room before he walked back to the bed. As soon as he was back, he draped a blanket over them. Izuku didn't feel it was necessary, considering how warm Enji was.
The staff arrived and Enji instructed them to prepare a dinner with plenty of food, all while carefully obscuring Izuku from their view. Izuku laughed. The level of protection and possessiveness Enji had over him was hilarious. Enji frowned at him as the staff scurried to obey.
"What am I going to wear?" Izuku asked. "You tore up my clothes."
"I will find you something," Enji grumbled. His knot finally went down and his cock slipped out of Izuku's body. Izuku whined at the loss and Enji smirked. "Later. We should eat before our cycles really start."
"Yes, Alpha."
Enji hummed with approval and Izuku purred. Enji didn't move and Izuku didn't think he wanted to. Or could. His alpha wasn't who he imagined, but this would be a good life.
Chapter 2: Safe in the Lion's Jaws
Chapter Text
There were undoubtedly several perks to being Todoroki Enji’s omega. First, and most obvious, was the home. Izuku was able to move his mother in with them shortly after his heat subsided. She was prone to fits of crying when she saw Izuku and Enji together, a fact that made Enji slightly alarmed and uncomfortable around his new mother-in-law.
He knew how to de-escalate hostile situations to save civilians. He knew how to move quickly and overwhelm a villain with sheer force without casualties. He knew how to regulate his own flames so that they wouldn’t burn anything he didn’t want burnt. But dealing with Midoriya Inko was another matter entirely.
He couldn’t tell if she approved of him for one thing. Izuku assured him that she was just like that, but that it also wasn’t her quirk. That seemed unlikely. The woman could cry a river all on her own in the space of a few seconds. That had to be the work of a quirk rather than simple human physiology.
Still, he couldn’t deny that it was good to have her around. While she didn’t quit her job (not that he asked though he had half expected it) she was good with her new step-grandchildren when she was around. That was another area Enji still hadn’t figured out. They were good kids, sure, but… he just wasn’t as talented with people as he was at being a hero.
Izuku was good with them, too, especially Shouto. He was more shy than his brothers and sister. With a head of hair half white and half red, he may very well have inherited both Enji’s and Rei’s quirks. There was a part of Enji that desperately wanted that to be confirmed so he could begin training the boy to be his successor, the one who would surpass All Might.
He had intended to begin training Shouto and Touya, the two of his children who inherited his flame quirk, before Izuku appeared. Now his plans were in flux. He had an omega to care for. If it was anyone but his true mate, he would leave them to get settled on their own. However, there was some part of him that was fiercely protective of him and wanted to ensure Izuku’s comfort himself.
Enji shook his head and kept walking. It was a warm summer day, not that he noticed. His resistance to flame also meant that he rarely noticed the heat of the sun the way others did. He was patrolling the city alone, as he usually did. He had no use for interns or sidekicks that got in his way. His hero agency did have other heroes, but they did their own work separate from him.
He patrolled diligently, though there was nothing much going on today. People gave him a wide berth, as usual. He never cared what the people thought of him as a person, only as a hero. He didn't need their love like All Might, only their support.
Come to think of it, he didn't know what Izuku thought of him as a hero. Izuku knew, of course, that being Enji’s personal assistant would be a good opportunity. But what did he think of Enji?
The question made him feel uneasy. He knew he could satisfy his mate sexually. Their cycle together made that abundantly clear, as well as every morning and evening since then. His mate ignited his lust like no one had before. Each time he slipped his cock into Izuku’s ass was like the first night all over again. Every time his knot popped, it was like getting squeezed and milked until it went down.
He growled softly and shook his head free of those thoughts. They were dangerous, especially when he was out patrolling. He needed to focus. He made his flames burn a bit brighter to keep his mind occupied. Some pedestrians took cautious steps away. He dismissed them at once. They weren't important or suspicious. He kept walking.
There had been more than one instance in the week since Enji had returned to his hero work where thoughts of his omega led to a boner. It was unfortunate, though thankfully no one had seen it… yet. He wanted to keep it that way. People had asked why he needed a week off suddenly but he had so far refused all inquiries. Especially from the media, who had noticed his sudden disappearance like bloodhounds who caught a scent. Talking heads had been speculating the reasons and his silence hadn't dissuaded anyone.
He stopped beneath an overhang. Above him was a billboard featuring All Might. Enji’s blood boiled even though he didn't even glance at the image.
Yagi Toshinori, also known as All Might, also known as the symbol of peace. It was true that villains had grown increasingly less troublesome under All Might's tenure as a hero. All Might had a talent for inspiring people and making them feel safe merely by his presence. He was the number one hero for a reason.
Still, Enji bristled in All Might's shadow. He had been the number 2 hero for 10 years, yet in all that time, he had never gotten close to overtaking All Might. In fact, the harder he worked, the further away his goal seemed to be. It wasn't enough that he had the highest number of cases solved or that he could adapt to any situation as demanded. All of that was meaningless so long as he was still the number 2 hero in the world.
Still, so long as all was peaceful, there was little for him to do to advance that dream. Regardless of his thoughts on All Might, there was no denying that he was a major part of the current era of relative peace. Villains feared him as much as the people loved him. It was something Enji would never be able to achieve.
Maybe if he was the sort of fool who believed in UA’s motto, he would try to push past his limits, go “plus ultra”. He had never believed in it, though. Limits were real and insurmountable. He understood that better than ever now. He may very well never surpass All Might, no matter how hard he tried. That was why he had married Rei, to sire pups who might inherit both their quirks and have the potential to succeed where he himself may fail.
At the moment, there were two pups that he thought might be capable of doing so: Touya and Shouto. Touya, the first one to be born, inherited a powerful flame quirk that burned blue, something that Enji could only achieve with great effort and concentration. The other, Shouto, had actually inherited both Enji’s fire and Rei’s ice. Either of them could become what he envisioned, if he trained them properly long before they were old enough to enroll in UA.
The others, Fuyumi and Natsuo, showed all the signs of having inherited Rei’s ice quirk. He wasn’t sure how to train them or even if he wanted to train them. Ice wasn’t something he knew how to work with.
All of this made his true mate being Izuku, who had no quirk at all, so ironic that it bordered on some kind of cosmic judgment. He wasn’t sure what lesson he was supposed to learn. His ambition was his whole life. Even his superhero name was a reminder of the single goal that drove him.
It was most likely that this match was simply a sexual thing. It would make sense. He had no immediate need for more pups, but it had been years since he was so satisfied with his sex life. Izuku made him feel like he was 10 years younger in regards to his sexual appetite.
There was some belief that pups born from true mates were more powerful, but there was no way to prove that since true mates meeting was such a rare occurrence. Enji wasn’t inclined to believe that. How could they be more powerful when Izuku was powerless?
Enji had to push the image of Izuku round with pups from his mind lest he once again have a problem with his suit. He set his mind to finishing his patrol. He noticed a few more heroes out and about in the city, but didn’t stop to speak to any of them. He never did. If there was a situation, he would deal with it himself unless it was already well in hand. There was no need to foster relationships with other heroes not in his agency.
It took another hour before he returned to the agency. He noticed a couple sidekicks who were on call standing ready in the lobby. They saluted him as he walked past and he nodded to acknowledge them. He got in his private elevator that led up to his office.
Unlike his home office, his work office was simple. He didn’t need much. He needed a space to do paperwork and administrative tasks. Beyond that, everything else was simply a distraction. First on his list was appraising himself on the status of finding a personal assistant. Despite the fact that he had found one, he hadn’t actually told his staff that they had to keep looking until after his rut ran its course.
During this week, HR had interviewed a dozen candidates. Few of them, however, seemed promising. Enji had very particular needs from an assistant. They had to be able to keep up with his schedule, for one, and need a limited amount of training for another. Whether Izuku would’ve been able to do that was a moot point now. He couldn’t fill the position anymore.
The problem with the current search was that while they were experienced, most had many other obligations that hindered their ability to be flexible. Enji would prefer a single assistant rather than a team of assistants who all had to coordinate in order to keep track of everything. Besides, modern technology would surely enable a single person to do the job.
He assigned cases and roles to his sidekicks, answered emails, and filed whatever paperwork the government required of him regarding his hero duties for this week. It was nearly sunset by the time he finished. He might have kept working, but Izuku being his mate meant that he had to be home by a decent time. He had agreed to be involved in the family and he intended to keep that promise.
Enji preferred to avoid public transportation when he could, so he decided to fly home more often than not. His ability to fly was somewhat limited most of the time, but it was enough for him to travel and it doubled as a way to train himself.
It took him almost an hour to reach his home. When he finally did arrive, it was to the image of Izuku and his pups playing in the center garden. He might have tried to be discreet had it not been for the fact that Izuku happened to look up while holding Natsuo. They waved at Enji and so Enji decided to simply land in the middle of the garden.
He did so carefully and deactivated his quirk at the last minute so he didn’t burn anything or anyone. All that was standard procedure. What he wasn’t expecting was for his pups to cheer and run up to him when he landed.
“Father, Father!” they cried.
He wasn’t prepared for all four of them to run up to him. He knelt down and hugged them, as awkward as it felt to do. Izuku had suggested this. Enji wasn’t sure what the point was, but he wanted to please his omega. All four of them launched themselves into his arms with Touya especially climbing up on his shoulders.
“Hey, uh, kids,” he said. “How was your day?”
“Great!” Fuyumi cried.
“Mama helped us make cookies!” Natsuo said. He held up a chocolate chip cookie in both hands. “This one is for you.”
“Oh, uh, thank you, Natsuo,” Enji said. He glanced up at Izuku who nodded slightly and took a bite of the cookie. It was sweet, of course, and the chocolate was dark. “Very good.”
“Touya and Natsuo helped,” Izuku said. “Mostly with the chocolate.”
“That’s, uh, good. Good work boys,” Enji said.
They beamed up at him. It was a… different sort of reaction than he was used to. It wasn’t… terrible. He went to stand and Touya and Fuyumi clung to him as each one sat on a different shoulder. This was also different. If it made Izuku happy, though, he would gladly go along with it.
Enji had gone head to head with villains who had killed, kidnapped, or raped. He had fought people with power that lesser heroes would have balked at. He moved with such confidence and fought with such power that villains frequently surrendered rather than fight against him. Yet when it came to his family, his pups, he was so lost.
The whole thing felt absurd. He would never appear so undignified out in public. The only reason he didn’t scold his pups for accosting him was that it seemed to make his omega happy. As he turned to walk into the house, he felt a hand slip into his. He looked down and saw Izuku looking up at him with a smile.
“How was work?” Izuku asked.
“Uneventful,” Enji reported.
“That’s good, right?” Izuku said.
“Perhaps.”
“Father! Did you fight any bad guys today?” Touya asked. He was pulling at his hair to get his attention and Enji growled.
“Cut that out,” he snapped.
“Don’t pull on your father’s hair, Touya,” Izuku said gently. “If you do, he’ll have to put you down.”
“I’m sorry,” Touya said. Izuku smiled slightly and Enji sighed. His mate was too soft with the pups.
“I didn’t fight any villains today, no,” he said.
“Good, I wanna be there to watch you fight a bad guy,” Touya said.
“No,” Enji said automatically.
“But father!”
“No!” Enji said more firmly. “You’re too young and weak.”
“I’m not weak!” Touya replied. “Mama said my quirk is really strong! Grandmother said that, too.”
Enji looked down at Izuku, who simply shrugged. Enji wondered what ideas Izuku would put in their heads. It had only been a few days ago that Izuku had been interacting with the pups, but they already seemed to have latched onto him and his mother. Enji had always been more formal and ordered.
And yet, he had never seen this kind of reaction to his coming home. The pups’ caretakers before had always made the pups bow formally to him. There hadn’t been much play and he was satisfied with that. So long as the pups were healthy, that had been enough for him.
Izuku had other ideas. He had more emphasis on playing with and nurturing the pups. It wasn’t the way Enji saw things. To him, pups were meant to reflect well on their parents and bring honor to their family. To achieve that, they were to be seen but not heard unless they were spoken to.
It was how he was raised, how he had been until he started training to be a hero. Once he stepped into the spotlight, that all changed. He had never thought that his pups’ lives would’ve been any different.
Izuku, however, always wanted the pups around when they were together as a family. He and his mother liked to talk to them at dinner and often tried to draw him into discussion. Enji himself had long preferred quiet meals in peace before he spent the evening training. More recently, he had other things he preferred to do.
On this particular evening, after Enji had changed into normal clothes, he sat down for dinner with not just his mate, but his mother-in-law and pups as well. Dinner involved a debate regarding the pups’ hobbies. Enji tuned much of it out, though he caught that Touya was fascinated with dinosaurs at the moment while Fuyumi preferred flowers. Izuku seemed very interested in both perspectives.
The evening was lively but uneventful. Still, it left Enji tired for some reason. Perhaps it was his pups’ endless energy. All of them seemed to have things to say. He made himself sit there with his family until Izuku signaled that it was time for bed. Enji was part of this new ritual as well, though he wasn’t sure why.
When the door to nursery was finally closed, Enji picked up Izuku and flung him over his shoulder just like the first night. He marched up the flight of stairs.
“What’s gotten into you?” Izuku asked.
“I’m impatient,” Enji said. “Why do you insist on my putting the pups to bed with you? Or everything else, for that matter?”
“Because my father has never been in my life,” Izuku said. “He works overseas. You at least live in the house. I don’t want them to grow up without knowing their father.”
“That doesn’t answer the question about why you insist I spend so much time with them,” Enji replied.
“Don’t you want to spend time with your pups?” Izuku asked.
“I don’t see what good it would do,” Enji said. He reached the door to their room and slid it open. He laid Izuku on the bed like he did every night.
“You could teach them,” Izuku said.
“What would I have to teach them?” Enji asked. He began to undress Izuku. “Touya and Shouto are the only ones with my fire quirk, but they’re too young to be trained.”
“You don’t have to train them to teach them,” Izuku said. He reached up to take Enji’s shirt off. His hands wandered over Enji’s hard, sculpted muscles. Enji flexed subtly. It was good that Izuku was pleased by his strength. “You could teach them more important things.”
“Such as?” Enji asked. He shimmied down the bed and unbuttoned Izuku’s pants. He flung them carelessly across the room. One of the staff would clean it up later.
“Confidence, strength, pride, stuff like that,” Izuku said.
“I don’t know how to teach them that,” Enji said. “And besides, I’m not in the mood to discuss parenting tips.”
Izuku sighed but smiled. Enji stared down at his arms. They still had marks from Enji’s gripping them. It turned out that his omega enjoyed being marked, which was good because Enji enjoyed leaving those marks. He enjoyed the sense of ownership and power it gave him. It was easy enough to hide if he wore long sleeves.
He growled softly as he bent down to scent Izuku. He could never get enough of it. Izuku smelled like pomegranate and bergamot. It was a soft, warm scent that made Enji feel both at ease and burn with desire. He kissed and sucked at the mating mark he’d left on Izuku’s neck and relished the high-pitched moan the omega released. It made his cock twitch and he sucked harder at the smooth skin.
“Alpha,” Izuku whined. Enji ignored him. He focused on kissing and marking and scenting his omega. He was addicted. He knew and he accepted it. His reaction to Izuku was practically Pavlovian.
Izuku was exquisite as far as Enji was concerned. His body was soft and delicate. His face and shoulders were covered in a light dusting of freckles that were already fading with age. His fingers were long and thin and his limbs were slender and supple. His ass was fat and juicy and tight and his little cock was adorable.
Izuku’s entire body seemed to be made for Enji specifically. Touching it, marking it, making him hurt, it made Enji feel so powerful. One day, he fully intended to spend a day hurting him, making him cry with pain, denying him release at all. He would spend the entire day introducing Izuku to all the things that Enji enjoyed and learning all the things Izuku would let him do.
He hoped it would be anything. Everything.
He kissed down Izuku’s body until he reached the groin. He flipped Izuku over unceremoniously and spread his cheeks. Just as it had been this morning, Izuku’s perfect, pink hole winked back at him. It was already shining and wet with slick. Enji dove in and licked it up. Izuku moaned loudly.
“Enji!” he cried. “What are you doing?!”
“What does it feel like?” Enji asked. “I’m eating your pussy.”
“It’s not a p-pussy,” Izuku replied. Enji smirked as he squeezed Izuku’s ass.
“It’s wet like a pussy,” Enji said. He kissed and sucked on the hole. “It’s sweet like a pussy. If I fuck it, you’ll get pregnant. Sounds like a pussy to me.”
Izuku moaned and Enji grinned triumphantly as he went back down on his boy. He groaned as he licked and sucked on the tender flesh. Izuku writhed beneath him and Enji held him fast in his tight grip. Izuku’s hole slowly relaxed enough that Enji thrust his tongue into the tight heat. He lapped up the slick like a glutton at a feast. He could eat Izuku’s ass for hours and not be satisfied.
Enji gripped Izuku’s hips tightly. His hands felt Izuku’s soft, pale thighs. He felt them shake with pleasure as Izuku moaned. His cock ached and he growled hungrily. Izuku gasped and pushed back against him. Enji’s hands rose to feel all over Izuku’s body. Izuku’s body felt soft and smooth beneath his calloused fingers. He was still learning about Izuku’s body, but he paid particular attention to Izuku’s pretty, pink nipples.
At last, he rose up from Izuku’s ass and flipped his omega over again. Izuku’s eyes were almost black and his face was flushed so red. He hadn’t complimented Izuku since the first night. Hopefully Izuku wasn’t the sort who wanted that. Enji could never find the words. All he knew, all he cared about, was that he wanted this omega in every sense of the word.
Enji pushed his pants down to the floor and his cock sprang up. It was the sort that would be considered large, even by alpha standards. He had never really cared about that, but Izuku seemed pleased with it. He spread Izuku’s legs and lined his cock up to the slick entrance.
“You want this cock, omega?” Enji growled softly. Izuku nodded and Enji smacked the boy’s ass sharply. Izuku moaned loudly. “Words, boy, use your words.”
“S-Sorry, Sir,” Izuku cried. “Y-Yes, I w-want it!”
“How badly?” Enji asked. He pushed a finger into Izuku’s ass and went straight for the boy’s prostate. Izuku moaned. He arched his back off the bed as Enji stroked that spot relentlessly. “Are you turning into a dumb slut on me already? How easy can you get? Pathetic.”
Izuku moaned desperately. The flush on his face grew darker. Enji smirked at the sight. He really was an omega made for him. His to ravish. His to ruin. No matter what happened, he would never let this one go.
He added another finger to Izuku’s ass and Izuku only seemed to grow more desperate. The boy seemed to grind down on his fingers. His tiny cock was leaking pre-come. Enji swiped some up with a finger and brought it to his lips. It wasn’t as sweet as Izuku’s slick, but it was still good. Izuku released a breathless gasp and Enji looked down at him.
“How badly do you need it?” he asked. “Tell me, whore.”
“S-So bad, so bad, Sir,” Izuku moaned. “Hng, please, I-I need it!”
Enji slapped him across the face for that. “I asked you to tell me how badly you need my cock, not to beg for it.”
“Y-Yes, Sir, thank you, Sir,” Izuku said.
Enji added a third finger to Izuku’s ass. At this point, his three fingers were a little thicker than his cock, but only a little. Pretty tears trickled down from Izuku’s face. He was holding back the barrage of begging that he surely wanted to unleash.
“So,” Enji said. “Get to it. Tell me what a whore you are.”
“S-Such a w-whore, Alpha,” Izuku moaned. “Ngh, I-I-I’m need it so b-bad! I’m s-such a n-needy whore, Alpha.”
“Good boy,” Enji said. “You’re lucky. I took you in, let you feel my cock in you whenever you need. You should be grateful.”
“Yes, th-thank you, Alpha,” Izuku moaned. “Fuck, thank you, thank you s-so m-much! You’re such a g-good man, Alpha. Fuck, I need it, need it, need your cock in me!”
“I know you do, boy,” Enji said. “But first you’re going to come on my fingers.”
Izuku moaned. It was a filthy, wanton sound, full of desperation. He didn’t reach down for his cock. Instead, Izuku clenched the sheets beneath him. Enji made no move to touch Izuku’s cock either. He merely pumped his fingers in and out of Izuku’s ass. He stroked each one over Izuku’s prostate. Izuku pushed down on them, too, desperately chasing the climax Enji demanded of him. Watching him like this, desperate and needy and eager to please, it was a heady feeling.
It only took a few moments. Enji fingered the omega ruthlessly while Izuku rode his fingers frantically. Finally, Enji saw it. Izuku’s mouth opened in a small circle. He closed his eyes tightly as his face clenched. His hands tightened on the sheets beneath him and his ass tightened around Enji’s fingers.
Finally, Izuku came with a loud moan. Enji fucked him through the climax as he watched slim, translucent drops of come burst from Izuku’s little cock. He watched until Izuku had come down from the pleasure of his climax and then he lined up his cock with the boy’s hole.
“Please… Alpha,” Izuku murmured. Enji smacked his ass, but Izuku just moaned again. Enji wrapped his hand lightly around the boy’s throat as he leaned down. His entire body covered his mate’s as he put his mouth near Izuku’s ear.
“I’m going to fuck you now,” he said.
Izuku hummed and Enji pushed his cock into the boy’s tight heat. Izuku groaned. It probably hurt to be fucked so soon after coming, but Enji didn’t care. The boy showed every sign of being a budding masochist, anyway. He might like it. All Enji cared about was that his hole felt amazing around Enji’s cock.
It took less time to push in than it did the first night, but Enji still went slowly to savor the feeling of being wrapped in that velvety heat. One hand gripped Izuku’s throat. The other dug into Izuku’s hip. Izuku sometimes winced with pain and sometimes he moaned at being filled. One hand, though, went to the wrist of the hand wrapped around his throat. He didn’t try to move it. Instead he just gripped it as he looked up at Enji with a fucked-out look on his face. He looked both wrecked and ready for more.
When Enji finally bottomed out, he wasted no more time letting Izuku adjust. The boy had taken his cock enough times that he was used to the feeling. He began to drill the boy’s ass. He snapped his hips forward at an unrelenting pace. He’d spent all day staving off thoughts of his mate and now he could finally do something about it.
Izuku moved his other hand to seize Enji’s wrist on his hip. It was like a silent plea to not stop, to not move his hands. Well, Enji was more than happy to comply with that. Just the thought of marking his omega got his blood up, made him hornier than he ever thought he would be.
“I’m going to do this every day until you become pregnant,” Enji growled. “I’ll see your belly fat with my pups. You’ll be mine, my breeding omega.”
“Yes, Alpha,” Izuku breathed. Enji tightened his grip on Izuku’s throat by a fraction. “Please, please, Alpha, give me your pups. I-I need it.”
“Yes, you do,” Enji growled. “You’re an omega. Omegas need to be bred, filled with pups. It’s your purpose.”
Izuku nodded, such as he was able to do with Enji’s hand in the way. He moved the hand that was on Izuku’s hip and pressed it against Izuku’s belly. He could feel his cock bulging in Izuku’s gut. It was the biggest turn-on he’d ever seen. His knot was beginning to swell now. It was already catching on the rim of Izuku’s ass. Izuku squeezed around his length, tight with desperation. HIs cock was hard again, as though it had never gone down in the first place.
Enji growled as he fucked harder, faster. Izuku wailed with pleasure. He closed his eyes as he endured Enji’s assault.
“Look at me,” Enji growled. Izuku immediately opened his eyes and looked into Enji’s. There were tears in them again. As Enji fucked him, one fell down Izuku’s cheek.
“Please, Alpha,” Izuku murmured.
Enji’s knot popped and he came with a roar. His come filled Izuku’s waiting ass. His ass squeezed around Enji’s pulsing, swollen knot. He breathed hard. Sweat coated his muscles. He finally loosened his grip on Izuku’s throat and found that he had left a burn around it perfectly matching the shape of his fingers. Izuku touched it gingerly.
“Do you require healing?” Enji asked.
“No,” Izuku said. “I… I like it, actually.”
“Good,” Enji said. He leaned down and kissed it. Izuku hissed in pain, but Enji ignored it. He kissed his way until he reached the mating mark and sucked on it. Izuku’s hissing quickly turned to gentle purring. “You’re mine. All mine.”
“Yes, Alpha,” Izuku said. He wrapped his arms around Enji’s neck.
It took 20 minutes for Enji’s knot to go down. As usual, Izuku seemed disappointed when Enji’s cock slipped out of him. Enji got up and walked to the bathroom. He returned a few moments later to a pouting Izuku. Enji knelt on the bed and cleaned Izuku’s body with a damp rag.
It was a quiet moment. The sort Enji would normally have tried to fill with training or other kind of productivity. On nights like this, he might go on patrols with sidekicks to ensure no villains took advantage of the cover of darkness. Now though, something kept him here.
It was a strange thing, but he couldn’t deny the fact that he slept better with the small omega in his bed.
The next morning, Enji awoke to an empty bed. His alarm went off and he rose immediately. He had decided long ago that if he allowed himself the luxury of sleeping in, it meant that he could allow other things that would all eventually hinder his progress to surpassing All Might. He yawned and stretched as he rose.
After his morning ablutions were complete, he entered his closet to find Izuku… already dressed in the same suit he’d worn to the interview. The burn on his neck hadn’t faded yet, but Enji stared at him. He looked good, sure, but as he racked his brain for a reason why Izuku would dress this way, he came up with nothing.
“What are you doing?” he asked.
“Ah, Enji! Good morning!” Izuku said with a bright smile. “I’m getting ready for work.”
“Work? What work?” Enji asked.
“Did you forget? You hired me to be your personal assistant,” Izuku said.
The words hit Enji like a ton of bricks, but he recovered quickly. “No.”
“What?” Izuku asked.
“No, you’re not my personal assistant,” Enji said.
“We had a deal,” Izuku said as he straightened his tie. “I beat you at Go in the interview and you hired me to be your personal assistant. That was two weeks ago, so now I’m going to start.”
“Plans changed,” Enji replied.
“Why? Because we’re mates?” Izuku asked. “You still hired me.”
“Why would you want a job when you’re my omega?” Enji asked.
“Because I always wanted to help pro heroes. I wanted to be one before I learned I would never have a quirk, so I decided I would help in whatever way I could,” Izuku said.
“You cannot be my personal assistant,” Enji said.
“Why not?” Izuku demanded. Enji held back a sigh. What happened to that pliant, obedient omega who had been in his bed just last night?
“Because you would be a distraction,” Enji said.
“You’re Endeavor, the number two hero known for doggedly pursuing your goal of becoming number one,” Izuku said. “Somehow I doubt that I would be that distracting to your work.”
“You don’t have a collar,” Enji said. Izuku glared at him and lifted his chin to show off the ring around his neck left from Enji’s own hand last night.
“You think this will do until you can get me a proper collar?” Izuku asked.
“Fine. You would be in danger if you ever came with me on patrols,” Enji said.
“Are you saying you’re not strong enough to protect me?” Izuku asked. Enji growled indignantly. “I didn’t think so either.”
“Why do you want this so damn much?” Enji asked. “Isn’t it enough for you to stay home with my pups?”
“No, it’s not,” Izuku said. “Because I have a goal that I want to achieve, too, and I won’t find a way to achieve it by being your stay-at-home omega. The pups will be fine, they have people here who will take care of them.”
Enji sighed. Why did he have to end up with an omega as stubborn as him? He even told Izuku that he expected obedience and submission, yet here he was being defiant.
“Have you found someone to replace me already?” Izuku asked.
“No,” Enji admitted.
“Then why not let me do it?” Izuku asked. “If you decide I’m not up to the task, then you can find someone else, but at least let me be useful.”
Enji stepped up to his omega. He struggled to remain calm and think of a way to get Izuku to stay home. Unfortunately, he had already tried every reason he could think of aside from the one he knew wouldn’t work. It didn’t help that Izuku wasn’t afraid of him like most people. He couldn’t intimidate his omega into obedience.
“Fine. A trial period of 30 days,” Enji said. “If I decide it’s not working, I’ll let you go.”
“I get paid for those 30 days,” Izuku said. “And you can’t let me go just because you feel like it. There has to be a reason related to my job performance.”
Damn this kid for being smart as well as brave. Enji sighed as he shook Izuku’s hand. Maybe he was starting to go soft. That would be unacceptable.
It was an odd pair they made, but no one really paid them any mind. Thankfully, Izuku made no move to hold Enji’s hand, nor did Enji signal to anyone that this omega belonged to him. What was interesting was when Izuku stopped in the shadow of Enji’s agency to gush about how exciting it was to be working there.
“This isn’t a field trip, boy,” he said. “I expect you to keep up if you’re going to work with me.”
“Yes, Sir!” Izuku said.
He ran to catch up with Enji as he walked through the revolving doors of the agency. As usual, several sidekicks were on call. One of particular interest was there. His hero name was ridiculous, so everyone shortened it to simply Dynamight. He had an explosive quirk and a temper to boot. Enji couldn’t fault him for that, considering his own shortcoming in that area. As he and the other sidekicks saluted, he looked to Izuku and growled.
“What are you doing here, Deku?” he demanded. Enji stopped.
“Hey, Kacchan,” Izuku said. “Wow, I didn’t know you were here!”
“Don’t talk down to me, moron,” Bakugou said. He stepped up to Izuku and shoved him back. “I asked what you were doing here.”
“I’m Endeavor’s personal assistant now!” Izuku said cheerfully. Enji couldn’t tell if Izuku was oblivious to how Bakugou was acting towards him or if he just didn’t care. Either way, it puzzled him. Regardless, Enji studied the exchange closely.
“What the hell are you talking about?” Bakugou demanded. “How’d a worthless runt like you ever get to be Endeavor’s assistant?”
“I interviewed and he hired me,” Izuku said.
“Like I’d believe something like that,” Bakugou said with a cruel laugh. “What could a quirkless runt like you do for a hero like Endeavor?”
“Uh, well, I can do lots of things,” Izuku said. “I’ll help manage his schedule and keep track of important events and documents and reports.”
Bakugou laughed even more cruelly than he had before. “So you’re a glorified secretary! A perfect job for trash like you.”
“That’s not--”
“Izuku,” Enji said. “Come.”
Izuku looked up and his face enraged Enji. He looked like a wounded puppy. Worse, he looked resigned to the fact, like this was salt in a very old wound. Izuku walked up to Enji and he put himself between his omega and the belligerent young alpha, Bakugou. In a flash, Endeavor tightened his right hand into a fist and punched Bakugou in the gut with all his might. Then, he pushed his fire as hot as he could make it and blasted a ball of fire at Bakugou.
If it weren't for the fact that his and all his sidekicks’ suits were fireproof, Bakugou would likely be dead. As it was, he still went flying across the room and into the nearest stone wall. Enji didn’t move or approach the kid. He just assumed a defensive stance with Izuku behind him.
“Endeavor,” Bakugou ground out. “What… the hell?”
“If you ever speak to my omega that way again or touch him in any way at all, you’ll be fired,” Enji said. “I will personally kick you out of this agency and blacklist you so you’ll never do hero work for the government again.”
Bakugou stopped. Everyone did. They weren’t looking at Enji, either. They were looking at Izuku. Izuku pulled his shirt down to better show off the collar Enji had burned into his skin.
“Back to work,” Enji shouted. “All of you.”
Just like that, the spell was broken and people went about their business. He would be a fool, though, to believe that this wouldn’t be all over the media soon. He walked over to Izuku and ushered him into the elevator. Hopefully he hadn’t just made a huge mistake with all this.
Chapter 3: Don't Touch the Lion's Rabbit
Chapter Text
The elevator ride up to Enji’s personal office was long and tense. Izuku could feel it. Not because the air felt especially oppressive or anything or because Enji’s scent reeked of anger and protectiveness. No, he could tell because Enji was gripping Izuku’s shoulder tightly.
For the record, Izuku wasn’t sure what to make of what had just transpired. Kacchan had always been… difficult, sure, but no one had ever been truly offended about the way he treated Izuku. Other than his mother, anyway. Izuku hadn’t known what was coming when Enji stepped in front of him. He certainly hadn’t expected what happened or that Enji would openly identify the exact nature of their relationship in front of so many people.
“Sir?” Izuku asked. Enji shushed him and Izuku fell silent. What else could he do?
Finally, the elevator door opened and Izuku stepped out into a large, spacious office. It was… dark. The couches, table, and desk were all made of dark material. An expensive rug, a chandelier, and a single painting behind the desk were all that the room had besides that. The most interesting thing was that the windows were large, spanning from floor to ceiling.
“You will join me in here,” Enji said. His voice sounded gruff.
“Enji… are you okay?” Izuku asked. Enji turned around and glared at him.
“What do you mean?” he asked.
“Are you okay… Sir?” Izuku amended.
“That’s not what I meant,” Enji said. “Why are you concerned for me?”
“Just… you seem upset,” Izuku said.
“Upset?” Enji said. His voice was deadly calm. “I walk into my office today to find that one of my sidekicks not only knows my mate, but openly mocks him and belittles him. I also have reason to believe that this has apparently gone on for some time. So yes, I suppose you could say that I’m upset.”
“I’m sorry,” Izuku said.
“Don’t apologize to me,” Enji said. He turned away to look out the window. “If you displease me, I’ll spank you or punish you in some way. You’ll know that I’m displeased.”
“Okay,” Izuku said. “I’m sorry that Bakugou said those things.”
“You’re apologizing for him?” Enji demanded. He turned back to face Izuku. “After what he just said to you?”
“Well, it’ll inconvenience you, right?” Izuku asked.
“That rookie runt inconveniences me every time he steps outside,” Enji said. “He’s had that punch coming for a long time. I might go down and give him another for good measure.”
“Please don’t,” Izuku said.
“Why do you care?” Enji said. “That piece of shit just humiliated you in front of everyone, in front of me!”
“Because he was my friend,” Izuku said.
“He’s not much of a friend,” Enji said. “Especially not if he said those things to you.”
“Maybe not, but I know why he’s like that,” Izuku said.
“Do enlighten me on how I can better understand my most troublesome sidekick,” Enji drawled.
“He wants to surpass All Might,” Izuku said. “Just like you.”
Silence filled the room. Enji stared at him for some time until Izuku himself looked away.
“I’m not like him,” Enji said.
“I know,” Izuku said.
“I told you that being my mate wouldn’t be a fairy tale.”
“I remember,” Izuku said.
“Still, I will protect you. You can be sure of that,” Enji said.
“Thank you,” Izuku said. “So… where should I set myself up?”
Enji walked over to his desk. He picked up the phone on the desk and dialed a number.
“Akira, find a desk and computer for my assistant and have them set up in my office,” Enji said. He hung up and sat down at the desk.
“You want me in here?” Izuku asked.
“Obviously,” Enji replied. “It’s the simplest and easiest place to put you during your trial period. I can determine how effective you are and ensure your wellbeing.”
Izuku wasn’t sure what to do, so he began looking around Enji’s desk. It was well organized, at least. There were files of recent reports of his hero duties, spreadsheets and studies about crime rates over the past few years, and training statistics. There were also a number of incident reports concerning various sidekicks. Mostly Katsuki, it seemed.
What had happened after Katsuki got accepted to UA? He had always been powerful and blessed with an amazing quirk, but surely it hadn’t been that bad. Of course, despite the fact that Izuku had tried to keep in contact with him, Katsuki hadn’t once responded, so anything could’ve happened.
“Kacchan seems to be giving you trouble,” Izuku said.
“What makes you say that?” Enji asked.
“Oh, sorry, I’m just familiarizing myself with what’s happened recently,” Izuku said. “That way if I ever need to talk to people who want to know what happened with something, I won’t be blindsided.”
“A good strategy,” Enji said. “However, as my assistant, you are not my spokesman, especially not when it concerns the media.”
“That’s good. I don’t think I’m up for that,” Izuku said.
“That doesn’t answer my question of why you think Dynamight has been giving me trouble,” Enji said.
“Oh, well, Kacchan just seems to be involved in a lot of incident reports,” Izuku said. Enji set his jaw.
“Yes, he is,” he said.
“What kind of work do your sidekicks do?” Izuku asked.
“Anything that doesn’t warrant my attention,” Enji said. “They mostly deal with low level petty crime or guard villains I’ve captured. Actual competent villains are the sort that I get called in for. Nothing that warrants the kind of trouble that one gets into.”
“Do you ever patrol with them?” Izuku asked.
“Yes, it happens, and you may be called upon to accompany me to keep track of anything that happens,” Enji said. “I expect you to stay out of the way, though.”
“I think I can manage that,” Izuku said.
The room was quiet for a while after that. Enji typed a bit on his computer and Izuku read reports on recent hero events. There were reports for other heroes, too, not just Endeavor. More than a few concerned All Might. Many of those were crumpled and straightened, almost as though Enji had had to smooth them out.
As for the incident reports, there were fewer of those, and almost all of them were about Katsuki. They mostly discussed his tendency towards destroying public property in fights, being rude and crass towards civilians, and not being attentive to his surroundings, causing others to get hurt. There were even times when he caused excessive damage to the villains themselves before other heroes could stop him.
“What are you reading?” Enji asked. Before Izuku could answer, Enji took the paper from his hands. He sighed when he saw the title. “You don’t need to worry about these. Leave them be.”
“But--”
“Leave them be, omega,” Enji said more firmly.
“I’m just worried about Kacchan,” Izuku said.
Enji got up and stepped over to him. He took the report out of Izuku’s hands and tossed it carelessly aside. Then he took Izuku’s chin in one hand. He glared down at Izuku. Between his face and the flames that flickered around him, he looked furious.
“Don’t say his name,” Enji said.
“W-Why?” Izuku asked.
“I am your alpha, that’s why,” Enji growled.
“That’s not a reason!” Izuku protested.
“It’s reason enough for you,” Enji said.
He put his hand on Izuku’s shoulder and pushed. Izuku tried to fight, but Enji was simply too strong. When he was on his knees, his eyes went immediately to Enji’s bulge. It was gorgeous. The way it strained against the suit made it impossible to look away. Izuku leaned in to mouth at the fabric, but Enji grabbed a fistful of his hair and held him back.
“Just seeing it is enough to make you needy, isn’t it?” Enji said. “My needy slut. Mine.”
“Yours, Alpha,” Izuku moaned. “Yours.”
“I don’t know if you deserve my cock, though,” Enji said. “You keep mentioning this other alpha. Maybe you should just stay there on your knees while I work.”
“I’m sorry, Alpha,” Izuku said. “I didn’t mean to.”
“You didn’t, eh?” Enji growled. “You should know who your alpha is.” He slapped Izuku across the face. “Tell me.”
“You, you are, Sir,” Izuku said.
“Damn right I am. And does your alpha strike you as the type who’s willing to share what’s his?”
He slapped Izuku again on the other side of his face. It stung. The cloth of Enji’s suit didn’t dull the pain as much as Izuku would’ve thought.
“N-No, Sir, you wouldn’t share me,” Izuku said.
“Of course not,” Enji said. “So why do you keep mentioning that other one?”
Izuku swallowed. “He’s a friend.”
Enji frowned down at him. “A poor friend, then,” he said. “Do not speak his name again for the rest of the day.”
“Yes, Sir,” Izuku said. “Can I have your cock now?”
Enji slapped him again and Izuku whined. Then his alpha gripped him again by the hair. Izuku moaned at the feeling. It stung and burned and it made him feel so alive. He stared up at Enji. From this angle and with his suit on, he looked every inch an alpha hero. The only thing Izuku cared about was Enji’s cock. He smirked down at Izuku.
“Tell me why you deserve my cock, slut,” Enji said.
Before he could answer, the elevator door dinged. Enji’s hand flew to cover Izuku’s mouth as several voices started talking. He also rolled his chair closer to the desk and pushed Izuku underneath it. Izuku couldn’t see anything but Enji’s suit, but his nose was right against Enji’s cock. He could smell it, the alluring, musky scent of leather and hinoki. His heartbeat slowed and he calmed a bit with the scent.
“Where do you want this, Endeavor?” asked a female voice.
“Near my desk will do,” Enji replied.
“Where’s your assistant? I was going to help him set his computer up,” she said.
Izuku held his breath. He would be mortified to be found like this. Worse, what would it make Enji look like? What if word got out? He had to stay quiet. Enji’s hand stayed in Izuku’s hair, though, so he couldn’t move.
“He had to… step out,” Enji said. “Come by after lunch and help him then.”
“Yes, sir,” she replied. “Anything else?”
“No, now leave me be,” Enji replied. His terse manner didn’t seem to warrant a comment.
“I heard something from downstairs,” the woman said. “They say you called your new assistant your omega! Is it true?”
“Get out,” Endeavor said. “Mind your own business or I’ll dock your pay.”
“Fine, fine,” she said. “Just remember to be gentle.”
Enji growled loudly until the elevator doors closed. As soon as they were, Enji pulled out from the desk. He pulled Izuku along with him. Izuku yelped from the pain and Enji laughed wickedly.
“Don’t act like you don’t like it,” he said. “You would be happy like this, wouldn’t you? Working as my personal cock warmer.”
“Yes, Sir,” Izuku replied. “I-I need it. I love your cock, Alpha.”
“Yeah you do,” Enji said. “Tell me.”
“What?” Izuku asked. Enji slapped him.
“Tell me what you love about my cock, dumb slut,” Enji growled. Izuku’s cock was so hard in his pants. He didn’t do anything, though. Enji wouldn’t let him touch himself. He preferred to be the one to make Izuku come.
“It’s so big, Alpha,” Izuku breathed. He bent to kiss the hard length. Enji hummed with approval.
“I know. You need a big dick, don’t you?”
“Y-Yes, Sir,” Izuku said. He tongued down the shaft of the length. “It’s so thick, too.”
Enji hummed and pulled Izuku off his cock. “What else? Don’t get distracted now.”
“I l-love that I can feel it in m-my s-stomach,” Izuku said. “When you fuck me, I love seeing the b-bulge. I-I love the stretch, th-the burn, fuck it feels so good, Sir.”
“You like how I fuck you,” Enji said.
“Yes, Sir, love the way you fuck me,” Izuku said. “Love how r-rough you are, how you m-make it h-hurt.”
“I know,” Enji said. “You’re a little pain slut. You get a little dumb when your Alpha hits you.”
“Yes, Sir,” Izuku moaned. “Love it. Hurts so good.”
Enji slapped him again and Izuku moaned at the feeling. It burned and stung and it felt amazing. He blinked up at Enji as he continued to mouth at the erection in his suit.
“I love your knot,” Izuku continued. He mouthed near the base of the cock where he imagined it would pop. He was torn between wanting to see it and wanting it inside him. “I love feeling it inside me, feeling you come. It’s so big, I didn’t think I could take it the first time.”
Enji hummed and his grip on Izuku’s hair relaxed. “You think any other alpha could satisfy you the way I do?”
“No, Alpha, never,” Izuku said. “I’m sorry for bringing him up.”
“And?”
Izuku paused. “Thank you… for protecting me.”
Enji’s grip vanished completely and he began to pet Izuku’s hair. It felt almost strange to feel that from him after how rough he had been. Enji also wasn’t known for being kind or tender towards others. Still, it felt nice.
“You’re… you’re welcome,” Enji said.
Without any further ceremony, he unzipped his suit and whipped his enormous cock out. Izuku didn’t even have time to process the fact that Enji had gone commando before Enji was pushing his face down against his cock. Izuku licked and inhaled deeply. The smell of Enji’s musk and sweat was intoxicating.
“Alpha,” he whined. He licked Enji’s cock eagerly. He followed a vein along the length of Enji’s cock until he reached the head. When he reached the uncircumcised head, he looked up into Enji’s eyes. His face was wreathed in flames, unlike the rest of his body. It made him seem even more intimidating and powerful than usual. His eyes were icy and intense as they stared down at him.
“Suck my cock, boy,” he said.
“Yes, Alpha.”
It would be a challenge. Izuku opened his mouth as wide as he could as he lowered himself on it. Enji’s precome coated his tongue. It tasted bitter and salty, but he liked it. He took as much as he could before he began to gag when it reached the back of his throat and he pulled off.
“You will improve with time,” Enji said. It was not reassurance, but a command.
“Yes, Alpha, I will,” Izuku said.
He opened his mouth and resumed sucking on the huge shaft. He bobbed on it as much as he was able while still taking as much as he could. He wrapped a hand around the base of the cock and pumped the shaft in tandem with his sucking. It was a challenging thing to do while he was also looking up at Enji’s face. Flame surrounded it, which only added to the feeling of power and domination Izuku felt.
Enji groaned in pleasure. His muscles flexed and shifted beneath his suit. His hands gripped the arms of the chair that he sat in as Izuku bobbed on his cock. Through all of it, though, his eyes never left Izuku’s and Izuku couldn’t bring himself to look away. It was a strange sort of spell they were under, but Izuku didn’t care at all. All he wanted was to taste his alpha, please him, and taste the reward for his service.
He settled into a comfortable rhythm. His other hand rose to fondle Enji’s balls through his suit. Enji moaned louder. Enji moved one of his hands to Izuku’s hair. He didn’t apply any pressure or force Izuku to go deeper. He simply maintained a simple pressure. Izuku sucked harder and faster. Enji took a deep breath and let it out slowly.
He could feel Enji’s knot starting to form. Every time his hand went down, he could feel the flesh swelling. He paused to suckle on the head of Enji’s cock. As he did, he moved his hand down and squeezed on the swelling knot. Enji groaned and thrust up into Izuku’s waiting mouth. Izuku stretched his mouth to take it all.
"Mine," Enji growled. He gripped Izuku's head and he held him fast. Izuku sucked as Enji began to fuck his mouth with shallow throats. Izuku held Enji’s knot. He squeezed the knot with each of Enji’s thrusts in. Enji moaned with each squeeze.
Finally, Izuku felt the knot pop. Enji groaned loudly as come burst from his cock into Izuku’s mouth. The taste was strange, but Izuku did his best to swallow it all. It tasted bitter and a bit salty, but it wasn’t an unpleasant taste at all. As Izuku swallowed the come, he kept squeezing around the knot. Enji purred and scratched Izuku’s scalp gently.
It was some time before Enji’s knot went down. When it did, Enji tucked his cock back into his suit and bent down to inspect Izuku. He wiped up a bit of come that had dripped down his mouth and onto his chin. Izuku dutifully licked it from Enji’s finger.
“Thank you, Sir,” he said.
“Good boy,” Enji said. He leaned back in his chair. “You may stay there if you wish until Akira returns to help you with your computer.”
“How can I help you from down here, exactly?” Izuku asked.
“Well, it will be some time until you’re able to access my schedule and are able to assist me, anyway,” Enji said. “You may stay there, if you wish.”
“Will I get paid for this?” Izuku asked. Enji smirked.
“Of course,” he replied. He reached down to stroke Izuku’s head. Izuku nuzzled it in turn.
“Maybe if you get a pillow,” Izuku said. “The floor isn’t the most comfortable place in the world.”
“You’ll have it,” Enji said. “Once you have access to my schedule, you can even do your work down there.”
“You just want to have your omega sitting at your feet,” Izuku said.
“I would have thought that would be obvious,” Enji said. “It is only natural.”
“Well, can I sit on your lap until I have the pillow?” Izuku asked.
“My fire will likely burn you,” Enji said.
“Turn it off?” Izuku asked.
“It is part of my training,” Enji said.
“Oh, okay,” Izuku said.
He started to get up when Enji sighed. His fire died, even around his face. He pulled Izuku into his lap. Izuku settled himself on Enji’s broad body. Enji set an arm around on Izuku’s hip as he moved closer to his desk.
“You’re making me soft,” Enji grumbled.
“I don’t think that’s possible, Sir,” Izuku said. “You’re so strong. I can’t imagine you being soft. Not really.”
Enji purred at that. Izuku closed his eyes.
Enji, it turned out, preferred hands on training whenever possible. This seemed to mean taking Izuku out on patrols instead of telling Izuku what he was supposed to do on these patrols. Izuku learned to keep some distance from Enji in case something came up and Enji had to fight someone, but not so much distance that he had difficulty keeping up with him.
Sometimes Enji ran into other heroes, but he never stopped for long. Even in the space of a single afternoon, it seemed that everyone knew what had happened that morning. Well, most of it. Enji had attacked a sidekick who harassed his personal assistant who was also his omega. No, Enji attacked a group of sidekicks. No, he attacked his entire agency. No, he attacked a group of villains who attacked his omega at the agency.
The stories about Izuku were even more bizarre. Izuku tried to ignore them as much as possible. Some said that he was simply Enji’s omega. Others said he wasn’t Enji’s omega, just an assistant he was fucking. He was just a submissive. He was already pregnant. He had trapped Enji in a relationship. That particular rumor was the only one Izuku had a problem with.
Enji had already rebuffed several reporters trying to get the scoop. He had outright growled at several who approached Izuku himself. Izuku was grateful for that. He didn’t know how to deal with reporters. He didn’t have Enji’s imposing figure to scare them off, but he could find another way. What he was starting to learn was that he shouldn’t say anything at all. Confirm nothing. Deny nothing.
There was a part of him that wanted to confirm to someone that he was Enji’s mate. There was also the part of him that wanted all these people to leave them alone. It wasn’t their business, after all.
There was one other thing that was strange about all this. It was the fact that they weren’t alone. There was one of Enji’s current sidekicks there, too. Izuku had seen him on the news occasionally, but he didn’t know much about him beyond the fact that he was a sidekick.
Tanaka Hikaru, also known as Butane, a sidekick with the ability to consume flame. His superhero costume was a red and black suit. All around his belt were flasks fastened with some kind of substance that burst into flame when it was opened or broken. He also had a bunch of lighters on his person.
This, in itself, wouldn’t be such a bad thing if it weren’t for the fact that Butane seemed to have some kind of issue with him. Izuku couldn't imagine why. The man was a beta. Or maybe it was the job. Izuku tried to get along with the man as much as possible so he could keep up with Enji.
“I don’t know why I have to be the one to tag along with you,” Butane said.
“Wouldn’t you be happy to go patrolling with Endeavor?” Izuku asked, trying to be upbeat.
“Endeavor doesn’t patrol with anyone,” Butane said. “The only reason I’m here is because of you. I’m not here to do any real work.”
“Maybe he trusts you enough to keep me safe if anything happens,” Izuku said. "I'd say that's a high honor."
“Yeah, I’m sure,” Butane drawled.
Does everyone at Enji’s agency have a bad attitude? Izuku wondered. He held back a sigh, though. He wouldn't be able to do anything about this. Besides, all he had to do was not hold Enji back and be there for whatever he needed.
There didn’t seem much risk of that happening any time today. The longer the patrol went on, the more peaceful it seemed. There wasn’t even a brawl to break up, which seemed strange. There was always something going on in this town. There were few reports of trouble, though. That was probably a good thing.
As they made to return to the agency, though, Izuku started to feel anxious. He followed close behind Enji. It was an act of pure instinct. He wanted to be close to his alpha. It was silly. If he had his own quirk, he could protect himself. He had started learning judo and karate at a young age when his quirk didn’t manifest, but that might not be enough if someone attacked in earnest.
The closer they got to the Endeavor Agency building, the thicker the crowd became. It made no difference, though. People were quick to get out of Enji’s way. Enji himself didn’t slow down or ask for people to make way. He simply walked and people moved to avoid him.
Izuku could hear the people around them murmuring as they passed. They were staring. Some of that was to be expected. Enji was famous, after all. Still, there was something strange about this particular crowd of people. The crowd was thickest as they neared the building. Enji stopped suddenly and Izuku almost ran into him. Enji moved closer to him.
“What’s going on?” Izuku asked.
“There are reporters swarming the entrance of the building,” Enji said. “Typical. It was foolish to hope they wouldn’t learn of your existence this quickly.”
“What do we do?” Izuku asked.
“‘We?’” Enji replied.
“You didn’t think I was going to leave this all to you, did you?” Izuku asked. “I want to support you, Enji.”
Enji stared down at him. The flames on his face obscured his expression, but he seemed thoughtful rather than angry. It was an easy mistake to make. Anyone else would probably step away, but Izuku just stepped closer.
“I’m not afraid,” Izuku said.
“Are you serious?” Butane demanded. “Endeavor, you can’t--”
“Stay out of this,” Enji snapped without even looking at him. He just looked down at Izuku. “Don’t be foolish. The media is a creature all its own. Most heroes prefer not to deal with them if possible. Except for All Might.”
“As long as you’re with me, there’s nothing to be afraid of,” Izuku said. He was being completely sincere, but Enji still smiled as though he was amused. Izuku felt his face heat up.
“How long were you planning to use that cheesy line?” Enji asked. “Fine, if you insist.”
Enji started moving again and Izuku hesitated only a second before he started trotting after him. Enji walked faster than before and it took more effort to keep up with him. Izuku didn't even check to see if Butane was following them. He only concentrated on keeping up with Enji.
Soon Enji was mounting the steps to his agency. As soon as they approached, cameras started flashing and reporters started demanding questions left and right. There were questions regarding everything from whether Enji had attacked one of his sidekicks to whether he had forced an omega to mate with him. Enji ignored them all. Izuku wanted to confront the one who asked that last one.
Enji didn’t stop until he reached the top of the stairs to his agency. Izuku stood next to him as Enji turned to address the crowd.
“Listen up!” he thundered. “I won’t be repeating myself or taking questions. You’ve all heard the rumors. The man standing next to me is my omega and my True Mate. He is also my assistant. There’s only one thing you need to know about him.”
With that, Enji clenched his right hand into a fist and made his fire burn brighter until Izuku could feel the intense heat so much that he almost took a step back. He didn’t have to look at Enji’s face to know what it looked like. This was the face that intimidated everyone who encountered him: the intense face of stern determination.
“No one touches him. No one.”
With that, Enji turned and walked inside the agency. The crowd was dead silent. Izuku turned to the crowd.
“Endeavor won’t be making any further statement on the matter,” he announced. He was shocked how smooth his voice was. Maybe he had taken a cue unconsciously from his mate. He bowed formally and turned to follow Enji into the building.
Chapter Text
In retrospect, it was probably foolish to tell the media anything about his personal relationships. Enji found himself practically hounded by reporters ever since he made the announcement. They likely hoped to intercept Izuku, who had the misfortune of appearing sweet and approachable. Thankfully, Izuku followed Enji’s lead and rebuffed every effort to get more information about their relationship.
That didn’t stop the news outlets from speculating about their relationship, though. For once, Enji was the most popular topic of conversation on the news. The thing that really aggravated him was that none of it was in any way related to his work. All of it was about Izuku.
In a way, he was pleased. The media loved Izuku. He had the kind of happy, open face that squashed rumors that the relationship may have been nonconsensual. The media analyzed pictures that they got when Enji and Izuku were out in public. The ones they focused on seemed to be the ones where Izuku was smiling and happy. More concerning, however, was that many pictures featured Enji looking noticeably less stern and imposing.
Enji wasn’t one to worry about his appearance as a hero. However, he did generally prefer to be seen as an imposing figure as opposed to the somewhat softer image that emerged from the pictures the media flashed across tv screens. Next he might as well start kissing pups or something.
As it was, he was starting to spend more time with his pups. Izuku had originally insisted on it, but… Enji slowly found it rewarding. It was a good way to forget about his work chasing down villains. There was a part of him that still analyzed his pups’ emerging quirks. Touya and Shouto, especially.
That wasn’t all he paid attention to now. There was a part of him that looked at Fuyumi’s caring personality and how she paid attention to everyone around her. He noticed Natsuo’s easy-going personality charmed nearly everyone in the household. Even Enji found himself smiling when Natsuo ran up to play with him.
It was a strange feeling, to be honest. He never spent that much time around his pups before, but Izuku made it a part of their daily routine whenever they got home. Sometimes Enji tried to bypass it, but then Izuku would look up at him with a look of fierce determination and he would pause.
Enji had originally wondered why he would have a weak omega for his true mate. Now he was beginning to think that Izuku might be anything but. Anyone who could look at him like that certainly wasn’t weak. Had he been born with a quirk, he might even be a pro hero, even at his young age.
Still, there was cause for concern. First and foremost was the fact that he had received yet another request from UA that he consider taking some of their students to be his interns. Enji usually forwarded such requests to his secretary with instructions to respond with a polite no. Usually.
This year there was a problem. Izuku would probably love the idea of Enji taking on interns, even though Enji clearly didn’t have the time to train them. Bakugo hadn’t actually been an intern with him before he was hired as a sidekick. To be honest, Enji did that mostly to keep the brat from destroying everything whenever he was out in the field.
That particular problem had become… strange lately. Not worse or better, just different. Bakugo was as rude and violent as ever, but now he seemed more subdued. Enji might almost think that he was sulking. He would have to speak with the boy about that. Being powerful was one thing, and Enji understood the desire to surpass All Might, but Enji was tired of dealing with all the paperwork the government sent him regarding Bakugo’s conduct.
Izuku’s insight into Bakugo still clung to the back of his mind. Enji couldn’t stop thinking about it sometimes. Maybe there was some other reason for why Bakugo was part of his agency beyond him having a powerful fire-based quirk. What it was, Enji had no idea.
There was a knock at his door before it slid open. Enji looked up from his computer to see Izuku. He was dressed in casual clothes, with a simple shirt hanging down to expose part of his collarbone. As usual, there was the collar that Enji kept burned into Izuku’s flesh, a placeholder until Enji could find something suitable to replace it.
Though he had to admit that he enjoyed having his mate marked in this way. He felt himself stiffen in his pants as Izuku approached his desk.
“Are you still working?” Izuku asked.
“There are many things that I need to see to,” Enji replied.
“Yes,” Izuku agreed. “Your family, for one.”
“I am getting to it,” Enji said. “It’s not my fault that the government is so demanding.”
“No, but does it have to be done now?” Izuku asked. “Your family needs you, too, alpha.”
Enji narrowed his eyes. He couldn’t tell if Izuku called him that in an effort to endear himself to him or if it had simply slipped. Izuku switched between Sir, Alpha, and his name with relative frequency, and it didn’t even matter if they were home, at work, or in public. There was a part of Enji that loved it. It got his blood going whenever he heard that word pass his omegas sweet lips, knowing that he would never call another man that name.
He must have had a tell, because Izuku smiled and walked right around the desk and sat himself in Enji’s lap. No sooner had he sat down than Enji kissed him full and deep. He loved how this small man felt in his arms. He was the most pure and sinful thing Enji had ever felt. So submissive. So demanding. So fearless. He was truly the perfect omega for him.
“When was the last time I bred you?” Enji murmured into Izuku’s ear. Izuku gasped and pressed his ass against Enji’s groin.
“In your office,” Izuku moaned. “During my lunch break. And before that after your meeting with your sidekicks.”
“Yet it seems that you still need more,” Enji said. He sucked at the collar he had burned into Izuku’s skin.
“And there was… this morning,” Izuku said. “You woke me up wanting to… fuck me.”
“Hmm so you have been bred three times already today, but it has been a considerable amount of time since it last happened,” Enji said. He reached down to feel at Izuku’s pants. He was hard and slightly damp already. “Is this the true reason you came to see me?”
“It’s… related,” Izuku said with a huff.
“Do you think you’ll become pregnant soon?” Enji asked. Izuku gasped and arched his back. Enji pushed his hand under the hem of Izuku’s pants and began to finger his hole. “Do you think I’ll put some pups in you? Or perhaps they’re already there and you just don’t know it yet.”
“Please, alpha,” Izuku whined.
He sounded so desperate and beautiful like this. His voice was dripping with need. Need for Enji, for his alpha. Enji growled with hungry desire. He stripped out of his uniform quickly, his alpha cock hanging thick and proud between his legs as he bent Izuku over the desk. He flung the paperwork to the floor without a single thought towards their importance as he pressed his lips to Izuku’s and kissed him deeply. Izuku yielded and moaned into his mouth. Enji rumbled a deep, throaty sound as he spread Izuku’s legs.
It was a beautiful sight to behold, Izuku naked and spread out on his desk. Come leaked from his hole and Enji couldn’t help but grin with some kind of primal satisfaction. Izuku’s ass was pretty, with a pink rosebud of a hole stretched only slightly from being pounded so thoroughly. Enji reached down and scooped up the come with a finger and pushed it back into Izuku’s ass. Izuku squeezed around the digit with a wanton moan. Enji’s eyes rose to meet his mate’s. The normally bright green was dark with lust and need. He slowly wrapped his free hand around Izuku’s neck and squeezed.
“You’re mine, omega,” he said. “Mine. I’ll put my pups in your belly and you’ll carry them for me.”
“Yours, Alpha, yes,” Izuku moaned breathlessly. He writhed beneath Enji, struggling uselessly against him. Enji grinned savagely. He loved how much stronger he was than his omega. It filled him with such a rush, especially as he looked into Izuku’s eyes and saw not an ounce of fear in them. Weak, yes, but his omega was hardly fragile.
Enji relaxed his grip on Izuku’s throat and his omega coughed as he breathed in. As he did, Enji slipped two more fingers into Izuku’s ass. Izuku cried out as Enji pressed against his prostate with unrelenting precision. After a few minutes of that, Enji squeezed around Izuku’s throat again. Tears streamed down his face, flushed red with arousal. He was beautiful.
“You’re such a slut for me,” Enji said as he tightened his grip on Izuku’s throat. “It’s amazing you can get any work done at all, the way you are. Just a little attention from your alpha and you become useless and desperate. I bet your pants get soaked by lunchtime from wanting my knot stuffed into you.”
Izuku nodded furiously. He gripped Enji’s wrist with both hands but didn’t push them away. Enji’s grin grew. He leaned down to kiss his little omega and Izuku kissed him back eagerly, if weakened with the need for air.
“Don’t worry, little one,” Enji murmured against his lips. “I know exactly how to deal with you. Just lay back and take what your alpha gives you and don’t worry your pretty little head with stupid thoughts.”
“Yes, Alpha,” Izuku breathed.
Or he tried to. Enji released him and as Izuku took his first desperate breath in, Enji pushed his cock into Izuku’s ass in one strong thrust. Izuku cried out with pain and pleasure as Enji began to snap his hips into Izuku’s. The only sound in the room was that of Izuku’s moaning, Enji’s grunting, and the slick slap of Enji’s hips hitting his omega’s. Izuku, the obedient boy that he was, didn’t move at all, but Enji still moved his big hand onto Izuku’s chest to hold him down. Izuku held onto Enji’s wrist. Tears still streamed down his face and the sight of them would’ve made Enji’s cock even harder, if that was possible.
“Alpha,” Izuku whimpered. Enji listened, but his mate only chanted the word like it was a mantra. His grin returned as he slowed his fucking.
“I’ve fucked you dumb, little omega,” he said. He thrust sharply into his mate. “Well, dumber, it seems.” He thrust again, harder. “I should be proud. I wonder just how stupid I can make you for my knot.” He thrust again and Izuku moaned loudly with pleasure. “Remanded permanently to my custody, too dumb to be anything but a warm hole for me to fuck.”
Izuku just moaned and nodded and continued chanting “Alpha” as Enji fucked him. His hole was as tight as it was that morning. It never seemed to loosen at all, though Enji’s cock was more than large enough to make it so. Enji’s free hand gripped Izuku’s hip like a vice. He activated his quirk just enough to burn his hand onto Izuku’s ass. Izuku cried out as it happened and Enji grinned wider. He fucked his little omega harder, faster.
“You’re mine, omega, remember that,” Enji groaned. Izuku squeezed around him, milking Enji’s cock with his wonderful, tight heat. “You must be close by now?”
Izuku stared up at him in a daze. His eyes were now half-lidded, but there was a sloppy smile on his face. He looked content and Enji felt a wave of pride and satisfaction at how easy it was to make his omega float. Rei had been his wife, yes, but Enji had never been able to make her achieve this. It was likely that their tastes had been as opposite as their quirks.
Izuku, though, making him float seemed as easy as activating his quirk. It was an instinct. Every word, every action, every thrust, slap, and kiss came as naturally to Enji as breathing.
“I’m going to come, omega,” Enji groaned. “I’ll knot your pretty little ass up and fill you with my seed.”
Izuku didn’t respond, but did tighten his ass on Enji’s cock and, somehow, gripped Enji’s hips with his legs. Enji paused long enough to slowly pry Izuku’s legs from around his waist and set them on his shoulders. They were thin and delicate. There was hardly any muscle definition to them at all. Just soft, pale, vulnerable skin that begged to be marked up in some way. Enji put that thought in the back of his mind. The only thing he was thinking of was how much deeper he could fuck into his omega with this angle, and how loudly Izuku would moan from it.
As expected, Izuku began to moan more desperately, more earnestly. His ass tightened around Enji’s cock again and Enji growled as the velvet softness of his mate’s ass threatened to make him come right then and there. He looked down and growled as he saw the outline of his cock bulge in Izuku’s stomach every time he thrust in. He reached down and grasped Izuku’s tiny cock between his thumb and forefinger and began to jerk it in tandem to his thrusts.
“Come for me, omega,” he said.
It was a command. Izuku’s eyes rose to meet Enji’s. Despite how distant he seemed in his floating state, there seemed to be a spark of understanding. Enji’s knot was beginning to catch on the rim of Izuku’s ass. The instinct to breed, to fill his mate, to claim him again, pushed everything else out. Frustrations about sidekicks, worries about crime, and ambition to become the top hero all faded. There was only the omega beneath him, soft and hot with the need to be filled. Their needs echoed each other, building off one another until it finally pushed Enji over the edge. He came with a feral grunt and leaned down, folding Izuku in on himself, and sank his teeth into the soft flesh of Izuku’s scent glands.
At that same moment, Izuku whimpered and moaned as come spurt out of his tiny cock onto Enji’s thick fingers. As soon as he was done, his entire body went slack against Enji’s. Enji felt relaxed, too. As soon as he finished biting his mate, he straightened and gathered his mate into his arms gently. He carried Izuku to their room and began to wipe him down gently with a cool rag. He murmured gentle praise into Izuku’s ear the whole time until Izuku stirred at last.
“You were gone for a while this time,” Enji said.
“Yeah,” Izuku said with a nod. He tucked himself against Enji’s shoulder and began to scent him. “It felt amazing, though.”
“Good,” Enji said.
They were late for dinner, of course. Enji’s new mother-in-law gave them no end of grief about it. He only heard every other word though. It was mostly about setting an example for his pups. His pups, of course, were only grumpy because they were made to wait for their parents. It was to the point that when the food was finally served, none of them could eat neatly. Enji groaned inwardly. He had no room to chastise them.
Izuku made a show of apologizing to them, which struck Enji as strange. Children respected their parents and waited for them to arrive before eating. He couldn’t deny that it did seem to mollify the pups a bit and it made them easier to manage later when they were finally done with dinner.
It was Touya’s turn to pick a bedtime story to read that night. Enji laid next to the nest his pups slept in at night as he waited for Touya and Izuku to pick it out. He had a feeling which one it was going to be. Touya had a thing for porcupines lately. Unfortunately, there were few children’s books about porcupines, so Touya tended to pick one of the three that Izuku had managed to find. Where and how Izuku had found them, Enji had no idea.
The most frequent was a story about how a porcupine makes friends. Silly and simple, but it was exactly the kind of story pups liked, according to his mother-in-law. As soon as Touya settled on it, he trotted over to Enji and held it out to him.
“You read it, Papa!” he said. He had a wide, toothy grin. Enji blinked and glanced up at his mate.
“Are you sure you wouldn’t rather have Izuku read it?” he asked.
“Pleeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaase???” Touya asked. His eyes became comically large and sparkled with his plea almost like they were in a cartoon. Enji suppressed a sigh. He knew defeat when he saw it, seldom as that happened.
“Very well,” he said as he opened the book. Touya climbed into his lap and Izuku sat across from them like sitting there and listening to a children’s story was the most natural way to spend an evening.
Still, as Enji began to read the book with his deep, baritone voice, he had to admit that it wasn’t the worst way. Far from it.
It was mid morning the next day. Izuku was downstairs with the public relations department discussing how to most effectively spin the latest news that Enji’s agency made. There weren’t many issues, beyond Bakugou’s consistent antics, but right now the media was still obsessed with Enji and Izuku.
Enji wasn’t sure how to best deal with that. At some point, the media would tire of them and move on to newer and more interesting stories. The only question was how long the media would take to grow tired of a famous hero finding a true mate.
Enji had other things on his mind at the moment. He and Izuku had been together for a couple months by now and he had yet to obtain a suitable collar for his mate. A collar symbolized that an omega was mated and officially off the market. The circumstances of how their relationship started could excuse some of it, but Enji was beginning to think that any further delay would simply be laziness.
The problem was that he required a custom piece for his omega. He had scoured the internet looking for one that was suitable, but none of them had exactly what he wanted for his omega. Some were too frilly, some too ornate, while others were too plain or too bare. Poor alphas might settle for a cheap collar. Izuku might even settle for one if Enji got it for him, but Enji couldn’t bring himself to settle.
He had finally managed to get in contact with a jeweler who was both skilled enough and discreet enough for Enji’s needs. He still had the beta woman sign an NDA, but that was beside the point. He was able to sit down with her and outline exactly what he needed for the collar he would place around Izuku’s neck.
The benefit of a custom piece was that it would be exactly how he envisioned it. Since Enji had spent quite a long time detailing how he wanted it to look, he was sure that it would come out well. The downside was that he was forced to wait for it to be finished. For this particular piece, and the accompanying accessory, it would take 10-12 weeks.
Rei’s collar had been much simpler. It was a simple, but valuable, black leather collar studded with garnets. It hadn’t really suited her, in hindsight, but she wore it without complaint. Enji wanted to do better this time. Izuku deserved better. That was something he knew deep in the core of his being. Half-assing Izuku’s collar would reflect poorly on Enji, even if Izuku accepted it without reservation.
He wondered if the jeweler could be paid to expedite the process, but he suspected that rushing something like this would result in a poorer result. Which meant there was nothing for him to do but wait. It was never something he was good at.
There was a knock at his door and he called out for the person to enter. When the door opened, it was Bakugou. As usual, he seemed to be in a bad mood. Bakugou made waves at UA for being powerful, but short-tempered and a sour disposition. He reminded Enji of a story of a feral alpha sometimes. As Bakugou approached, Enji did not offer him a seat. Instead, he stood. Bakugou sat, however, and Enji found himself annoyed with his impetuousness.
“I have received many complaints about your behavior, Bakugou,” Enji said. “Both from civilians as well as the government.”
“Yeah? So what? As long as I get the damn job done, what the hell does it matter what people think?” Bakugou demanded.
It was a growl, and a defiant one at that. Enji might almost mistake the sound for a challenge against him. Such things weren’t unheard of among young, headstrong alphas, but Enji mentally prepared himself anyway. Bakugou was a loose cannon.
“It matters because your actions reflect upon my agency,” Enji growled back. He was careful not to exceed the level and tone of Bakugou’s growl. Antagonizing the arrogant brat would only cause more problems for him. “If the government decides that you are a hazard to our work, they will ask other agencies to do the work they might have intended for us. Less work means less opportunity, and less pay.”
“I don’t care what people think of me,” Bakugou replied. “Weaklings don’t matter. Why should I go out of my way to make people feel comfy? I’m out there to fight, and win! Not to make friends!”
“You’re out there to follow orders,” Enji growled. “Something you have a bad habit of not doing.”
“Stupid orders don’t need to be followed,” Bakugou snarled.
“Is that so?” Enji asked. He bent down to pick up a case file. “Just last week, we had an incident involving a criminal who robbed a bank. Do you remember anything about this?”
“What about it?” Bakugou groaned.
“It says here that your superior, Burnin, ordered you to stay at the scene and see if he had any accomplices while she went on ahead to capture the villain,” Enji said.
“What of it?” Bakugou asked.
“It also says that you ignored orders and pursued the villain,” Enji continued. “Eventually leading to the villain in question suffering severe injuries, damaging the stolen goods, and ensuring that the accomplices who were there escaped.”
“Nothing would’ve happened if Burnin hadn’t interfered,” Bakugou said.
“There was also the incident two months ago involving an assault,” Enji said as he picked up the next file. “You were with Butane this time, and the report states that the subject broke his leg when you captured him.”
“Am I supposed to apologize for hurting a scumbag?” Bakugou asked.
“My agency is currently being sued by the man in question for the violence of his arrest,” Enji replied. “The case against him is at risk of being thrown out entirely because of your actions.”
Bakugou just groaned with annoyance. Enji tried to hold his temper. Izuku found a reason to like this man, despite his bad attitude. And since his ambition was the same as Enji’s, there was a part of Enji that sympathized with him. Still, this was a kid who was making problems for his agency because he was controlled by his emotions. It was Enji’s responsibility to nip this in the bud.
“These are only two of the many incidents that have taken place over the past several months,” Enji said. “We have reminded you time and again of the conduct expected of those who work with my agency.”
“What does any of that matter?” Bakugou asked. “Aren’t you willing to do whatever it takes to get what you’re after?”
“Your problem is that you think yourself more capable than you are,” Enji said. He ignored the obvious jab. He didn’t have the best temper, true, but he knew how to use his power effectively. “You follow orders. You do as you’re told and you toe the line. Do you have any idea how much work your insubordination has made for this agency?”
“Oh, so now I’m to blame for people like--”
He stopped himself and Enji narrowed his eyes. “People like who, Dynamight?”
Bakugou closed his mouth with uncharacteristic wisdom. “Just people who get paid to do that kind of work.”
“I see,” Enji replied. “Well, due to your insubordination and the damages that you’ve caused lately, I’m suspending you without pay for 2 months.”
“2 months?!” Bakugou cried. “Just for doing my job?!”
“Yes. Effective immediately,” Enji said. “During that time, you’re also ordered to attend therapy via our mental health department, which will continue until such a time as we’ve determined that you can be trusted in the field again.”
“Like hell I will!” Bakugou said.
“You will, actually, if you have any desire to do hero work,” Enji replied. “This mandate comes from the government, not me. If you refuse, you’ll never do hero work again.”
Bakugou stared at him dumbfounded. It was almost a comical look on the boy.
“Turn in your hero license to human resources,” Enji said. “Your hero uniform, too. You’ll get them back once your suspension is up.”
Izuku was bored. Public relations seemed a fancy term for the political aspect of being a hero. There were a slew of workers whose jobs focused around communicating with the media and various politicians who worked with the hero community. It was an objectively vital part of hero life in modern day Japan and one that Izuku had to be well versed in if he was going to be Enji’s assistant.
Still, it was probably his least favorite part of the job. Politicians were exhausting and few seemed to take him seriously for one reason or another. Some dismissed him for his age, which Izuku could hardly fault them for. Others dismissed him because of his designation. The media was no better, but they were mostly hoping that he would give him dirt on Enji or agree to an exclusive interview. Izuku was learning how to politely refuse such requests, but it was difficult sometimes.
His day was interrupted when the door banged open. Izuku looked up, half expecting Enji to make an appearance. His alpha seemed not to be able to be away from him for long. It was a feeling Izuku shared. Newly mated pairs were said to be clingy with each other for the first few months of their relationship.
He was surprised to see that it wasn't Enji, but Kacchan making a stir. He stomped back to the human resources side of the office and disappeared. A din of gossip began to fill the office space with workers trying studiously to avoid looking to Izuku for insight.
Wonder if Enji had something to do with this, Izuku thought. He’ll probably tell me later tonight if he wants to talk about it.
Izuku tried to get back to his work. However, 20 minutes later, Bakugou emerged from human resources. This time Izuku couldn’t help but stare at him. He was out of his hero uniform in normal clothes. The man headed straight for him and Izuku had to swallow and steel himself. What could he want?
“You. Deku,” Kacchan growled. “What did you say to him?”
“Kacchan?” Izuku replied.
“Don’t play dumb!” Kacchan said. “I know you had something to do with this!”
“With what? What happened?” Izuku asked.
“I’ve been suspended, Deku!” Kacchan said. “2 months! What the hell did you tell him?!”
“Nothing, I swear!” Izuku said. “I told him that we were friends in school and that you want to be the number 1 hero, that’s all!”
“What else, damn it!” Kacchan asked.
“Nothing, I swear!” Izuku said. Before he could say anything else, Kacchan growled and stepped away. He slapped a hand to his head and the scent of his anger burned in Izuku’s nostrils.
What should I do? Izuku wondered. Call Enji? Security? Kacchan is really strong, would normal security even be able to handle him?
Then, Kacchan did something Izuku had never seen before. He put his hand down and turned away from Izuku. He sighed.
“Fine,” he said. “Guess I’ll see you around, Deku.”
With that, he walked out the door. Izuku released a breath he didn’t know he was holding. At that moment, he looked around and realized that every single employee in the office was staring either at him or after Kacchan. He sighed.
Guess I’ll have to ask Enji what that was all about, he thought. The whole agency will know what happened within the hour, I’ll bet.
Rather than stick around and have everyone look at him wondering what that was all about and seeing if he could give them anything to make the gossip even juicier, Izuku packed up his belongings. He went to the elevator. Enji was on the top floor, of course, and Izuku wasn’t much in the mood to wait. He inserted his keycard and the elevator started to ascend, skipping any floors where other people were waiting.
It took only a couple minutes for him to get to the top floor. He stepped out of the elevator towards the office Enji used for himself. When he entered, he found that the room was empty. Izuku went to a door at the other end of the room, which led to a stairwell. He went up the stairs to Enji’s personal training room. Enji kept his quirk active most of the time, even when he was having sex with Izuku. It was no different now. He was using his quirk to help him lift enormous weights.
Izuku would be lying if he said that he didn’t find the sight incredibly attractive. His alpha’s scent filled the room, the scent of his sweat and pheromones making Izuku feel at ease automatically. He didn’t try to help Enji. Izuku wouldn’t be able to, with the amount of weight Enji was handling. He simply settled down to watch.
Many people used music to help them train. Enji worked in silence. The only sound in the room was that of his grunts of exertion.
“Is there something you wanted to say?” Enji asked. “Or were you just going to sit there and watch?”
“Kacchan showed up in human resources,” Izuku said. “Wanted to know what I said to you.”
“I should’ve warned you he was coming,” Enji said. “Or sent you elsewhere in the agency.”
“It was fine,” Izuku said. “But what happened with him?”
“Only what was already coming to him,” Enji said.
“He’s suspended, isn’t he?” Izuku said. “Or is it worse than that?”
“Suspended without pay,” Enji said with a grunt as he pushed the weights up. His muscles bulged and he set the bar in the slot above him. “And in danger of having his license revoked in the future.”
“Wow,” Izuku said. “It’s hard to believe. He was always so powerful.”
“Strength isn’t everything,” Enji said as he sat up. He was wearing a black tank top and a pair of grey track pants, which left nothing to the imagination. He walked over to Izuku and took his chin in his hand. “Did he hurt you?”
“No, just yelled at me,” Izuku said. “He seemed a bit subdued though.”
“Good,” Enji said. “Now, come help me clean up before we get back to work.”
Enji smiled down at him. It was an oddly warm expression for his face which had so much cold determination. Izuku grinned up at him and stood on his toes to kiss his alpha.
“Dammit, you’re making me soft, omega,” he said.
The bathroom was large enough to accommodate Enji’s tall, muscular physique, which meant that adding Izuku into the mix was simple. The shower was the same sort as the sort he had at home. Wide and spacious with multiple nozzles to help wash every part of their bodies.
Izuku helped strip Enji out of his sweat-stained clothes. The scent of his musk made Izuku’s ass become damp with slick. Enji was a lot less gentle getting Izuku out of his clothes than Izuku was, no matter what he said about becoming soft. In fact, once they were both naked, Enji practically threw Izuku over his shoulder to get into the shower. The water was hot and refreshing, but Enji was never the sort of man to relax, no matter the circumstances.
Izuku lathered up his hands and began to wash Enji’s body. He wasn’t sure if he was supposed to hear it, but he could swear Enji was beginning to purr as Izuku washed him.
Enji kept his quirk going even in the shower. As a result, it wasn’t long before the room had so much steam that it was more like a sauna. He turned it off long enough for Izuku to wash him, but then he turned it on again. He said it was part of his training, to be able to keep his power going under any conditions. Izuku didn't mind. Enji was a furnace and he practically oozed power and strength as an alpha.
Finally, Enji was clean and Izuku knelt before him. His cock was hard again. It was probably leaking, but it was impossible to tell in the steam and spray of the shower. Izuku knew for a fact that his hole was slick and the sight of Enji’s cock was enough to make him need it.
“Have I pleased you, Sir?” he asked. Enji reached down and stroked Izuku’s hair.
“You have, boy,” he said. “You’ll be wanting a reward now, I suppose.”
“If you please, Sir,” Izuku said.
“So polite,” Enji said. He was definitely purring now. His face didn’t show it much, but Izuku could feel deep-throated vibrations in his body. He stroked Izuku’s jaw with his fingers. “Good boy.”
With that, Enji gripped the base of his cock and pressed it to Izuku’s lips. Izuku opened his mouth eagerly and moaned as Enji thrust his cock past his lips and down into his throat. Enji hummed with pleasure above him as he began to thrust his hips. Izuku relaxed his throat and braced himself against Enji’s powerful thighs. He looked up at him, into Enji’s turquoise eyes.
Enji didn’t say anything this time. Sometimes he praised Izuku, sometimes he was filthy, and other times he was silent. Izuku found something to enjoy in all of them. Right now, his eyes bore into him like Izuku was the only thing in the world. Every thrust of his hips, Izuku tasted the saltiness of his precome. Every groan he made made Izuku moan around his thick length.
Enji pulled out of his mouth and Izuku kissed the tip. Izuku didn’t let the contact stop for long. He began to suckle on the head, savoring the bitter taste. The taste was influenced by the strong, black coffee he drank in the morning and a diet heavy in protein and savory vegetables. Izuku loved it. He practically nursed on the head as he pumped Enji’s cock in his hands. Enji tilted his head back with a gravelly groan.
“I’m close, omega,” Enji grunted.
He put one hand in Izuku’s hair and placed the other on the wall of the shower. He moaned his pleasure as Izuku bobbed on his cock. As Izuku quickened his pace, his sucking became sloppier. Slick sounds echoed in the shower along with Enji’s moans. Enji didn’t bother to keep himself quiet. That filled Izuku with excitement as he sucked his cock, desperately pushing him to the edge.
Enji’s breaths became faster and more ragged. He didn’t say anything else. Izuku didn’t need him to. A couple minutes later, his knot popped and he came with a loud groan. His come hit the back of Izuku’s throat and he swallowed every bit of it. It tasted amazing… to Izuku anyway. He squeezed Enji’s massive knot with both hands as he concentrated on swallowing his load. Enji made a lot of come. It was no wonder he needed to have sex multiple times a day.
A few minutes later, Enji pulled Izuku to his feet, turned him around, and pushed his cock into his ass until the knot was buried within him. Izuku groaned, a sound that was promptly swallowed as Enji kissed him. Izuku could taste the coffee on his tongue as Enji’s strong arms wrapped around him.
It lasted only a moment. Enji began to wash him while he waited for his knot to go down. Izuku appreciated the quiet. The only sound, apart from the shower, was the sound of Enji purring.
“Is it so bad, being soft?” Izuku asked.
Enji was quiet for a moment. He was applying conditioner to Izuku’s hair and his knot was starting to deflate. Izuku couldn’t help but purr as he felt Enji’s thick fingers massaging his scalp. It felt amazing and he was certain his alpha could smell how pleased he was even with the bodywash masking his natural scent.
“If it’s with you, maybe not so much,” Enji said quietly. His hands fell to Izuku’s shoulders, where his mating bite was and the collar Enji burned into Izuku’s skin. It was beginning to fade and Izuku looked forward to it being renewed soon. “Just remember who I am in front of the world. I cannot be soft out there.”
“I know,” Izuku said. “I don’t want you to be.”
“Good,” Enji said.
Enji finished washing Izuku. When they were done and the shower turned off, they stepped out into a room filled with steam. Izuku’s clothes were ruined, soaked from all the steam that had filled the room. Izuku sighed in disappointment.
Enji, the asshole, didn’t seem the least bit concerned as he walked out of the room in naught but a towel and proceeded to use his flame quirk to dry them off. He started to dress himself and Izuku held up his clothes.
“What am I supposed to do with these?” he asked.
“Wear your spare clothes,” Enji said.
“These are my spare clothes,” Izuku said. “We had to send the clothes I wore here to be mended after you ripped the hole in the jacket and pants getting them off me.”
“Ah, yes,” Enji said. He thought for a moment and then led Izuku to a locker at the other end of the bathroom. He opened it and took out a pair of pants and a plain shirt. “These are clean. We’ll send those to get dry cleaned.”
“I can’t wear these at work!” Izuku said. “What if someone sees me?”
Enji grinned. “Don’t worry your pretty little head about that,” he said. “Just do as I say.”
10 minutes later, Izuku was dressed in Enji’s workout clothes kneeling on a pillow beneath Enji’s desk. Enji’s cock was soft in his mouth and Izuku felt like he was floating ever so slightly. Enji was droning on with another hero, sounding bored more than anything, but every now and then, he reached down to stroke Izuku’s hair.

Chapter Text
Growing up, Izuku had always worked hard. He never really thought to take much time for leisure or being unproductive. Once it became clear that he didn’t have a quirk and that he would go to a regular high school instead of UA, he had become determined to work hard and find a way to be useful to the hero community in spite of not having a quirk. That meant that even during school, he had gotten a job that he worked after school and on weekends.
It was totally normal for him to get up as early as he always did and dress himself. When he got up, however, he found that Enji was already up and ready to go. Izuku blinked and rubbed the sleep from his eyes as he stretched.
“Go back to sleep,” Enji said.
“What? Why?” Izuku asked.
“You’re my assistant,” Enji said. “My agency offers two days off a week for all employees.”
“I’m aware,” Izuku said. “I was thinking that I would only take one day off though.”
“You will take both days off,” Enji replied. “I will not have my omega overworking himself.”
“I worked all through high school and didn’t take days off,” Izuku said. “I can handle working one extra day.”
“No. You will take both days off,” Enji said firmly. “You have helped me sufficiently for this week.”
“What about you? Will you take days off then?”
“Heroes must be ready to act whenever they are required,” Enji replied. "And I was called in early. I'll miss breakfast. Tell the pups that I'm sorry."
“That doesn’t answer my question,” Izuku said. He got up and followed Enji as he started walking out of their room. “You don’t need to coddle me, I’m not some soft omega who can’t handle hard work.”
“I know,” Enji said. “But you will still remain home from work today. The day is yours, do with it what you will, so long as you enjoy yourself.”
With that, Enji used his flame quirk to launch himself into the air, leaving Izuku on the ground staring after him. Izuku sighed as Enji faded into the distance.
“What am I supposed to do now?” Izuku asked himself.
There was, theoretically, any number of things that he could do with his time. Many people his age might be in university. Others might be hanging out with friends or playing video games. Those particular things might not be an option for him. Izuku didn’t actually spend much time gaming and he also didn’t make many friends in high school after getting bullied for much of it.
He got up and walked downstairs. His mother was already up and helping to corale the pups. It was a big challenge, especially early in the morning. The pups were clamoring for food and the chef hadn’t finished cooking it for them yet. Izuku could smell it, but judging from the look of things, that was just the problem. The pups could smell it, too.
Toya was the loudest. He was groaning dramatically while his new grandmother tried to get Natsu to sit properly while they waited for their breakfast. It seemed like a losing battle, but Shoto and Fuyumi were more relaxed as they sat on their knees. Shoto was playing with his chopsticks and Fuyumi was coloring, but aside from that, they were pretty calm.
“Morning mom,” he said as he knelt down at the table. “How are you this morning?”
“Oh, Izuku! I’m good,” she said. “I’m surprised to see you here. Usually you and Enji leave so early to go to work.”
“He told me to take today off,” he said. “Then he flew away, so I didn’t really have much to say about that.”
His mother sighed. She managed to set Natsu down before she turned to Toya. Toya, though, had become the model child at the mention of his father. His face was beaming with anticipation. Izuku couldn’t help but smile. Toya truly did love his father and that only grew the more Enji interacted with him.
“Is father going to join us?” he asked.
“No, Toya, he was called in early this morning,” Izuku said. “He told me to let you know he was sorry to miss breakfast.”
Toya nodded. He looked disappointed, but he also seemed to be trying to hide it. He brought a small flame to life in his palm. It burned blue right at the end of his index finger. Izuku let himself be amazed. Enji’s quirk had red and orange flame, but he could only produce the hotter blue flame if he gave an attack everything he had. Toya was able to produce it with ease and even Enji was amazed by it, though he only spoke of it to Izuku in private.
Natsu and Fuyumi were like their mother. Born with her white hair, they also inherited her ice powers. Fuyumi was slightly more skilled, but could only use her power to chill drinks at the moment. Natsu could cause frost to form on his hands, something he used to cause mischief with staff and family alike. Izuku wondered whether he would be able to surprise Enji, but he wasn’t sure he wanted to see that curiosity satisfied any time soon.
Then there was Shoto, with half white and half red hair. Izuku had seen him produce small flames like Enji, but he wasn’t sure if he’d ever seen Shoto do anything with ice yet. Was it possible for someone to inherit multiple quirks? He knew that Enji had married Rei in the hopes that she would give him a child that bore their opposing quirks and accepted that. What mattered was that Enji accepted responsibility for it and cared for his pups and Izuku saw him doing that more and more.
Still, Shoto could be a powerful hero if that was what he wanted to become. Izuku was sure that Enji was more than capable of helping his pups grow into heroes if that was their wish. Toya clearly wanted to be like his father, but as for the rest of the pups, Izuku wasn’t sure what they would become.
Being their father’s pups wouldn’t be an easy life. They would be scrutinized and through them, Enji himself would be judged. The pups would also be held up against their father to see if they measured up to the expectations the public would surely have of the children of such a prominent hero. Izuku felt sorry for them, in a way. They would never have the normal life that he had enjoyed.
“What’s wrong, son?” his mother asked. Izuku felt his face heat up with embarrassment.
“Oh, I was just planning on going with Enji today,” he replied. “He told me to stay, though, so I guess I wasn’t prepared to have nothing to do.”
“Oh, alphas are always so uptight about that stuff,” she said with a self-conscious smile. “Your father used to have silly notions like that when we were first mated.”
“Really?” Izuku asked.
“Yes, but he got over it after a while,” she said. “He accepted that I would have to do things against his wishes sometimes.”
“But Enji said that he’s… more traditional,” Izuku said.
“Well, you certainly know him better than I do,” she replied. “But lots of alphas say that before they really get settled into a relationship.”
“Daddy likes you,” Fuyumi said. “He smiles lots more now.”
“Really?” Izuku asked enthusiastically.
“Yeah! He was really grumpy before,” she replied. “And not nice.”
“Well I’m glad that he’s in a better mood,” Izuku said. He didn’t think to mention that Enji could still be fairly grumpy when he was at work. Fuyumi and her brothers all seemed so happy with their smiling faces agreeing with her.
“You should go after breakfast,” his mother said. “You could surprise him! I’m sure even Enji would be thrilled to have you surprise him with lunch. All alphas love that, no matter how cranky.”
“Yeah, you’re right,” Izuku said. He stood up and steeled himself. “I’ll surprise him and spend the afternoon helping him with his work!”
“That’s my boy! So hardworking!” his mother said. “Make sure to have the cook prepare something with lots of meat. Alphas like that with their meals.”
“Perhaps some oyakodon,” Izuku thought aloud. “And maybe some honey kuzumochi for dessert.”
“Mama, can you bring us some?” Natsu asked. “Please?”
“We’ll be good,” Shoto said more quietly. Izuku could still see an eager light shining in his eyes.
“I’ll see what I can do, okay?” Izuku said. “But you have to promise to be good for your grandmother. If she tells me you’re giving her trouble, I won’t bring you any.”
“We’ll be good!” Toya said.
“Okay, I’ll be counting on you,” Izuku said. He smiled down at the pups. Truthfully, they were all good. Even when they were rambunctious, they were good natured children.
Two hours later, Izuku walked up the steps of the Endeavor Agency with a paper bag. The food was hopefully still warm, considering that he had stopped at a restaurant on the way over. The owner was practically shaking when he handed Izuku the food. He was apparently a big fan of Endeavor, because he absolutely refused to accept payment for the meal.
He also made a somewhat awkward farewell by wishing that Izuku and Endeavor would have a “fruitful union.” The thought made him a bit self-conscious. It wouldn’t shock him if he got pregnant at some point. They certainly had enough sex. That said, Izuku wasn’t sure if he wanted to be pregnant just yet. He was only 18, after all. Enji might not mind having more pups, but he was 30. It was a totally different thing.
He stepped up the concrete steps to Endeavor’s hero agency. The city bustled as usual, but the agency seemed a little subdued. Considering many people who worked there had the day off, it made sense, but it was also somewhat strange.
It took him a few moments to reach Enji’s floor of the agency. When the elevator door finally opened and Izuku stepped out, he realized his heart was hammering in his chest. He took a deep breath before he walked into the office. He was surprised to find that the office was empty at the moment. A quick look around confirmed that Enji also wasn’t in his private gym training, nor did he have any meetings scheduled.
“Must be out on patrol,” Izuku said to himself. He sighed as he put the oyakodon in the fridge. It was a shame that he wouldn’t be around to eat the food while it was hot, but there wasn’t anything that could be done about that. There was no knowing where Enji would be in the city and trying to meet him in the field would be a futile effort.
Izuku simply walked over to his desk and started working. He wasn’t sure what he was supposed to do, but in the end, he decided to do what he normally did. He resumed sending emails to the people he needed to send them to. Few of them would get back to him before Monday, but that was fine. It was better than staying idle.
He managed to become engrossed in his work when the door suddenly banged open. Izuku jumped slightly as Enji walked over to him. His flame quirk was on, his crimson flames flickering over his forearms, face, and legs. Izuku could feel the heat from here as he looked up to meet Enji’s gaze.
“You’re here,” Enji said lowly.
“Yes, I am,” Izuku said.
“I thought I told you to stay home,” Enji said.
“I prefer to stay busy and be useful,” Izuku replied. “Besides, I’m used to working on Saturdays.”
“That is beside the point,” Enji said. “You disobeyed me.”
Izuku stared up at him with a lump in his throat. Enji looked stern as he stared down at him. He was every inch the alpha hero known for his stern leadership and ruthless pursuit of villains. Izuku wouldn’t say he was afraid, but he would be lying if he said that his alpha wasn’t intimidating. Especially now.
“I’m sorry,” he said. “I just thought I could be useful.”
“Do you not have sufficient tasks to occupy yourself at home?” Enji asked.
“Your servants handle all the household chores and my mother insisted that she also didn’t need my help with the pups,” Izuku said. “So no, there wasn’t much for me to do.”
“Then surely there are things you can do to relax and enjoy yourself,” Enji said.
“What if I enjoy working?” Izuku said.
“Admirable as that may be, there must be other things that you enjoy,” Enji replied.
“Heroes and quirk analysis are pretty much it,” Izuku said. “Aside from goh, and I don’t exactly have anyone to play that game with at home.”
“You’re 18,” Enji said. “You can’t expect me to believe that you would actually prefer to be here than enjoy a day off.”
“I do,” Izuku said.
Enji stared down at him for a moment longer. Then the wall broke and he sighed. His flame quirk extinguished around his arms as he came around the desk and pulled Izuku to his feet.
“I suppose I have no choice then,” he said. “Still, you did disobey me. I cannot allow you to do so unpunished.”
“P-p-punished?” Izuku replied.
Enji nodded and bent Izuku over the desk. Normally, Izuku would be happy and positively excited about this. Now he was nervous and his heart hammered in his chest as Enji pulled Izuku’s pants down until they were down at his ankles. Still, the school air could not do anything to hide the fact that he was hard and starting to slicken.
“Look at you,” Enji said in a low voice. “You think that there is something to be excited about.”
“Can’t help it,” Izuku said. “There usually is when you bend me over like this.”
That earned him a slap across his bottom. Izuku yelped as much from the surprise as the sudden pain. The fact that Enji was wearing the gloves that were part of his outfit did nothing to lessen the pain.
“Don’t get smart with me, omega,” Enji growled. “I didn’t want it to be like this the first time I did this to you, but now you’ve forced me to give you pain rather than pleasure.”
“I’m sorry, alpha,” Izuku said. “I just wanted to help.”
“You think I am not aware of that?” Enji asked. “You think I have not noticed your diligence?”
Izuku didn’t say anything to that.
“You are the first to begin working,” Enji said. “And the last to leave. I thought that having a true omega mate would mean that I would stop working earlier, but you have never once complained about how late I work.”
“So why did you tell me to stay home then?” Izuku asked.
“I promised you a life of ease and comfort,” Enji said. “I let you work since I lost the bet, but that doesn’t mean I have to let you work whenever you wish.”
“I don’t understand why it’s such a big deal,” Izuku said.
“You may not always understand why I order you to do something, but I still expect your obedience,” Enji said.
He walked over to his own desk and removed his gloves. Izuku watched and felt his stomach flip when Enji bent down and took a strap out of one of his drawers. It was black leather, with a handle that perfectly fit in Enji’s large hand. The strap itself, however, was about the length of Izuku’s forearm and dotted with metal studs that gleamed against the dark material. The wooden handle was stained a dark red and Enji held it as though he was intimately familiar with handling such things.
Izuku’s mouth felt dry as dust and he began shaking on the desk as Enji approached.
“If it gets to be too much, say red,” Enji said.
“Yes, alpha,” Izuku said.
“Good boy.”
Without any further preamble, Enji brought the strap down onto Izuku’s ass. Hard. Izuku cried out with pain. The leather was bad enough, but the metal studs added an extra sting to the already intense pain. Izuku whimpered and tried to squirm, but Enji just held him in place with a hand as he brought the strap down on his ass again.
Enji brought the strap down on his ass again, no gentler than he had the first time. Izuku clung to the desk as he endured the pain. It stung and burned, but he was determined. Again and again Enji hit his ass with the strap. By the tenth strike, Izuku’s throat hurt from the yelling, but all he could tell was that Enji held him in place. The familiar heat of Enji’s hand burned against his back. He arched up, tried to move, but Enji held him down firmly and the strap struck harder than before.
He lost count of how many times Enji struck him. By the time he saw the strap tossed onto the table next to him, though, he was shaking. Tears streaked down his cheeks freely and Izuku sniffled for a moment before he felt strong arms wrap around him with shocking gentleness.
Enji carried Izuku over to his own desk and sat down carefully. He bent Izuku over gently as he reached into a drawer. A moment later, Izuku felt a cold gel being smeared on his burning ass. A moment after that, he sighed as he felt the burn subside. Enji massaged Izuku gently. The warmth of his fingers contrast with the coolness of the gel in such a way that the warmth slowly spread through Izuku’s body. He found himself relaxing, giving in to the wonderful sensation of his alpha’s attentive care.
“Why did you come?” Enji asked.
“I came to bring you lunch,” Izuku said quietly. “Oyakodon. You weren’t here, though, so I just put it in the fridge and decided to wait.”
“Why didn’t you just say that to begin with?” Enji said. “I wouldn’t have punished you if I knew that.”
“Because I did disobey you,” Izuku said. “The food was just an excuse to come to work.”
“I see,” Enji rumbled. “Well, your honesty is appreciated then.”
With that, Enji finished and pulled Izuku’s pants up gently before pulling the young omega into his lap. Izuku tucked himself beneath Enji’s chin as his alpha wrapped his arms around him.
They stayed like that for some time. They sat in silence as the afternoon wore on. Izuku took comfort in Enji’s familiar scent and the warmth of his body as he sat on his alpha’s lap. Every now and again, Enji would stroke Izuku’s back along his spine and it would feel like more warmth was entering Izuku’s body. Not much, just enough that it felt like he was wrapped in a warm blanket fresh from the dryer.
“Why were you worried about me?” Izuku asked eventually.
“You are young and you have no quirk,” Enji replied matter-of-factly. “My job is dangerous and I don’t see it becoming any safer any time soon.”
“I’m not weak,” Izuku said.
“You are,” Enji said. “Villains would have no trouble picking you off.”
“That’s why I have you,” Izuku said.
“That’s why I have to protect you,” Enji said. “You’re my weakness. I’ve trained for decades to have none, and now I have you.”
Enji pressed his forehead against Izuku’s and closed his eyes. His arms tightened around Izuku.
“You must promise to obey me,” Enji said. “If I tell you to run to safety, you run. If I tell you to leave others behind, you do it. If I tell you to ignore me and save yourself, you must.”
“I can’t,” Izuku said. “I can’t promise that. Leave others behind? Ignore you? I could never do that.”
“Why the hell not?” Enji growled.
“Because I always wanted to be a hero,” Izuku said. “More than anything! But I never developed a quirk. Even so, I want to help however I can. I learned how to analyze superheroes’ quirks and abilities and to think strategically. I might not be able to fly or anything like that, but I can still be of use.”
Enji hummed thoughtfully. Then he got up and held Izuku bridal style. Izuku blushed in spite of himself. He instinctively pressed more against the huge alpha. He made himself be still and let himself be carried.
“I will give you the chance to prove yourself,” Enji said. “But you must also give me the chance to protect you as best I can.”
“Okay. I’ll try,” Izuku said.
“Good,” Enji said. He walked to the fridge and took the food out. “We’ll start by going home.”
“Home? Why? It’s not time to leave yet,” Izuku said.
“If staying home is the best way to keep you safe, then I will take both days off when I can,” Enji said. He looked down at Izuku. “Besides… I will admit to having slightly missed your company while I was on patrol.”
Izuku smiled. “Aww you like me!”
“Shut up,” Enji grumbled.
“But you do, don’t you!” Izuku said with a smile.
“I did not say that,” Enji said. “Maybe I was just horny and thought it would be good to have your ass around.”
“So you’re taking me home just to fuck me?” Izuku asked.
“Do you have a problem with that?” Enji asked. He regarded Izuku sternly with a raised eyebrow. The look made Izuku wet. It oozed power and authority and pure alpha strength.
“I didn’t say that,” Izuku said. “But will that be okay? You know… since you kinda spanked me hard.”
“A sore ass is the your punishment, but there’s no reason I can’t fuck you just because you’re sore,” Enji said. He grinned and the look gave him a dark, hungry, almost feral look. Izuku resisted the urge to squirm. “You’ll just have to do your best to sit straight for the next few days.”
Izuku was suddenly not sure if he was glad he disobeyed Enji or not.
Enji went to the roof of the agency and launched them into the sky with his quirk. The wind whistled past Izuku’s ears and made his hair flutter. There was no real grace to the flight that Endeavor used. It was more like a rocket or a comet. He arced through the sky in a straight line towards his destination.
It took hardly any time at all to get to the Todoroki mansion. Enji began his descent outside the home so as not to actually damage any of the building, which was made almost entirely out of wood with traditional paper windows. The perfect setting in which to practice restraint, to make sure that he didn’t burn anything except what he intended to burn. Or at least that was Izuku’s theory.
Enji didn’t set Izuku down when they arrived. He simply threw Izuku over his shoulder with as little ceremony as possible. Izuku almost protested, but he didn’t really have much of a problem with the way things were going.
When they entered, Enji carefully avoided announcing their presence to anyone. Izuku had to admit that with the way things were going, the last thing he wanted was for the pups to interrupt them. He kept his mouth shut too. Enji moved with surprising silence as he took the stairs two at a time to reach their room. When he was there, he laid Izuku on the bed and promptly tore his pants off.
“What is it with you and destroying my clothes?” Izuku asked.
“I’ll buy you new ones,” Enji said.
“That’s not the point. It’s wasteful.”
“I’ll waste what I choose and ravish you as I please,” Enji murmured.
He rose and began to kiss and suck on Izuku’s neck. Izuku moaned and let his head fall back as pleasure bloomed in his body. Enji’s large hands played him like a fiddle. One tweaked his nipples while the other teased his hole, coaxing slick to dampen it with practiced, intimate ease. Izuku clung to his alpha. His fingers dug into the meat of Enji’s shoulders, still annoyingly clothed. Izuku tried to tear the suit off Enji, but it only made his alpha chuckle with amusement.
“Did you really think you could tear my suit as easily as I tore your clothes, sweet thing?” he purred.
“Alpha, you’re wearing too many clothes,” Izuku whined.
“And you thought that you could fix that by, what, tearing a suit custom designed to withstand assault from the strongest villains in the country?” Enji asked. He laughed again in Izuku’s ear, a cruel, teasing edge to his voice that made Izuku’s entire body tingle with pleasure as he arched up off the bed to press his hard cock against Enji’s body. “You’re so weak, you’d never have a chance.”
“Alpha, please,” Izuku moaned.
“Oh, you like this,” Enji said. He squeezed Izuku’s ass tightly with both hands and Izuku gasped with the mix of pain and pleasure. “So weak. My weak, pathetic, needy little omega.”
He flipped Izuku over onto his stomach and spread his cheeks apart. He also squeezed them for good measure and Izuku moaned desperately.
“Look at that,” Enji said. “Look at that greedy little hole. Such a dirty little boy, you’re already dripping just from my words.”
“I… alpha please,” Izuku moaned. He arched up and began to look over his shoulder when Enji pressed him back down onto the bed firmly.
“How does it feel to have an alpha as powerful as me, boy?” Enji growled. He pressed his clothed cock against Izuku’s ass. “I could have you any way I want and you couldn’t do a damn thing about it.”
“Yes, alpha, any way you want,” Izuku said. “I need it, please, please give it to me!”
Enji slapped his ass and the smack echoed through the room. “That’s right, boy. Beg for your alpha’s cock.”
“Please put it in me,” Izuku whined. There was a small part of him that felt small and pathetic, but the much larger part of him loved it. He was so hard, he could feel his cock and ass leaking, his juices dripping from him and onto the bed. “I’ll do anything for it, please, just fuck me.”
Enji leaned over Izuku and pressed his mouth against the shell of Izuku’s ear even as he pressed his body against Izuku’s. His arms caged Izuku in, his hard body pressed Izuku’s into the bed, his cock was so hard that Izuku almost thought he could feel it throbbing through the suit.
“Is that all you’ve got, boy? I might as well go back to work at this rate,” Enji said in a low voice.
“No, please, don’t!” Izuku cried. He pressed his ass against Enji’s crotch, such as he was able to with Enji’s body almost laying on him. “I can’t, I need, need, I need your cock alpha. Please, I need you to fuck me so bad!”
“There you go,” Enji purred. His voice dripped with condescension, and Izuku quivered as the words dripped on him like molten wax. “There’s my needy little omega boy. You’re so cute when you beg properly to be filled.”
Enji kissed and sucked another mark onto Izuku’s skin before he knelt up. “Remember, I’ll always fill you, even when you’re full to bursting with my pups, you’ll still beg me for my cock and I’ll gladly fuck you.”
“Promise?” Izuku asked.
“Don’t ask silly questions,” Enji said. He raised a hand to feel at Izuku’s stomach. “I can’t wait to see your belly full and swelling with our pups.”
He pressed his cock against Izuku’s ass again for emphasis. Izuku could feel Enji’s arousal, his need, all focused on him. If mere horniness could make him pregnant, he would likely have been impregnated the first time they slept together. That said, there was a part of him that couldn’t wait to see how Enji looked at him when he did become pregnant.
Enji got up and began to strip out of his hero suit. It was a bit of an involved process, given the many parts of the suit designed to be on fire but not burn. Still, it made for an enjoyable process to watch. Izuku got up on his knees and arched his back as he looked over his shoulder to watch his alpha undress. As more and more of Enji’s muscled body appeared, the scent of Enji’s arousal grew thicker and thicker.
“Does your suit block your scent?” Izuku asked.
“I had it modified,” Enji said with a confident smirk. “Can’t have the public know how horny I get these days.”
Izuku smiled as he squirmed on the bed. He couldn’t help but take in the sight of his alpha’s naked body. Every inch of him was covered in thick muscle. That coupled with the power he radiated and the strength of his alpha scent, it seemed completely natural that he would be as muscular as he was. Izuku felt a bit of pride mingle with his arousal as Enji approached the bed.
Enji gathered up some slick from Izuku’s ass and pumped his cock slowly. Izuku heard him groan and he tightened his ass, hoping that it would entice his alpha to speed up the process. A moment later, he felt the head of Enji’s cock press against his hole and he knew it worked. Enji pushed in and Izuku gasped as his hole stretched to accommodate the thick length of Enji’s cock.
No matter how often Enji fucked him, Izuku couldn’t help but gasp when Enji bottomed out. Enji’s cock reached so far into him that it often made an outline in Izuku’s stomach. Enji seemed to find it hot. So did Izuku, but it was still a struggle to take. This time, Enji gripped Izuku’s hips as he pushed in. His hands made Izuku’s ass burn. He couldn’t tell if it was from Enji’s quirk or the pain from earlier. The pain made him squeeze around Enji’s cock and they both moaned at the feeling.
“Fuck, I can never get used to how big you are, alpha,” Izuku said. He whimpered as Enji bottomed out. “Oh, shit. Oh, fuck, I love it.”
“Good boy,” Enji rumbled. He stroked Izuku’s up and down along his spine. “You take your alpha’s cock so well. No one’s ever been able to take all of me as well as you do.”
Izuku would be lying if he said he didn’t feel a tinge of smug pride at that.
Enji began to thrust into him with shallow thrusts. Even then, Izuku couldn’t help but close his eyes and moan with pleasure. He never felt so full in all his life before Enji. He reached back and grabbed one of Enji’s hands to hold onto as he pushed back against Enji to meet his thrusts. Enji groaned, his voice deep and gravelly.
“Oh, f-fuck, Daddy,” Izuku moaned. He snapped his mouth shut and covered his mouth with his hand. Enji thrust all the way in with a grunt. He pressed his hand between Izuku’s shoulder blades, pushing him down into the mattress.
“Say that again, boy,” Enji growled.
“Fuck?” Izuku replied. Enji smacked his ass.
“The other word,” Enji said. “And don’t be a smartass.”
“D-D-Daddy?” Izuku said. Enji hummed and leaned down until he was completely covering Izuku’s body.
“Tell me, little boy,” he said. “What do you want your Daddy to do to you?”
“Oh f-f-fuck,” Izuku whimpered. Enji rocked his hips against Izuku’s. His cock grazed directly over Izuku’s prostate with the motion, making pleasure shoot through his veins like bolts of fire.
“Tell me,” Enji purred. “Don’t be shy now. Daddy’s here to take care of you, sweet thing.”
“F-f-fuck me, D-D-Daddy, please,” Izuku moaned. With that, Enji began fucking him in earnest. His hips slapped against Izuku’s and Izuku couldn’t hold back his moans. Perhaps sensing this, Enji sealed his hand over Izuku’s mouth.
“Can’t have you waking the whole damn house,” Enji said. He thrust hard into Izuku’s ass and Izuku whimpered with pleasure. “What else do you want me to do?”
Izuku gasped as Enji removed his hand. He squeezed around Enji’s cock again. It was so big, so thick, he could barely think of a response.
“Breed me, Daddy,” he said. “Knock me up, please.”
“Such a good boy for your Daddy, aren’t you?” Enji purred.
He grinned against the shell of Izuku’s ear and wrapped his hand around his throat the same way he always did. At the same time, his thrusts grew harder, faster. Izuku gripped the wrist that held his throat, but didn’t pull away. He gripped it as hard as he could while his other hand clutched the sheets to their bed.
“I’m going to knot you, boy, my omega,” Enji said. “I’m going to fill you with come until you can’t hold it anymore and it leaks down your legs. I’m going to make sure that you can’t sit down without thinking about what your Daddy has done to you.”
“P-Please,” Izuku said weakly. “Please, Daddy. I w-w-want it.”
“Yeah, you do,” Enji said. “I know exactly what you want. What you need.”
Enji thrust in just as his knot popped and groaned as he came. Izuku moaned desperately as his ass filled with Enji’s hot come. Enji rocked against him. His knot pressed directly against Izuku’s prostate, hit it again and again until Izuku cried out and came.
Enji gasped for breath over him for a moment. Izuku could feel him trembling, steadying himself on his arms. He looked up at his alpha, who gazed down at him with a look of such satisfaction that it made Izuku purr with pleasure and pride.
“Daddy?” he asked. Enji purred in response.
“Damn, Izuku, if I knew you liked that, I would’ve had you calling me that this whole damn time,” he said.
“Not too late to start,” Izuku said. Enji hummed in agreement.
They tried to relax for the rest of the evening. Enji changed the sheets and washed the two of them slowly and luxuriously in an enormous bath he heated entirely with his own quirk. Izuku used Enji’s chest as a pillow as he dozed in total bliss.
It was all cut short when their pups burst into the room to demand their attention. Thankfully, Enji agreed to carry Izuku down the stairs. Toya demanded to be on Enji’s shoulders since he was carrying Izuku and Enji allowed it, much to Izuku’s surprise. Enji spent the rest of the evening teaching the pups how to play football (the real kind, not the American kind). Natsuo immediately had a knack for it and ran around long after the rest of his siblings tired themselves out.
Izuku couldn’t help but think of how Enji would be with his own pups. He never expected this. Enji was starting to open up to the role of being a father. Izuku even caught him smiling once or twice as he ran around with his pups.
“He’s a good father,” he said to his mother. She smiled at him.
“Much better than I first thought, anyway,” she said. “At first, he seemed to think of being with the pups as a chore. I think he’s starting to come around.”
“I think you’re right,” Izuku said.
It was 3 weeks later. Izuku’s eyes flew open early one morning and he darted away from the bed to the bathroom. He immediately started to vomit in the toilet. A moment later, he felt Enji at his back, rubbing soothing circles against him. It was a small comfort as Izuku continued to vomit up the rest of his dinner from the night before.
It took him several minutes to finish. When he was done, he washed his mouth out to eliminate the acrid taste.
“Stay home today,” Enji said.
“No, I can come,” Izuku said.
“No,” Enji said firmly. “Agency policy says that employees cannot come to work when vomiting.”
“You really think that every employee obeys that?” Izuku asked.
“I am not mated to all of my employees,” Enji replied. “Stay. Rest. That’s an order.”
“Fine,” Izuku sighed.
He let himself be put back into bed. Enji dressed himself quickly and efficiently before he left. A few hours later when Izuku awoke again, he went downstairs to find a bowl of steaming soup waiting for him. He ate the whole thing and his stomach felt better.
In the back of his mind, he wondered. He felt totally fine now, but when he awoke he had felt unbearably sick. He decided to dress and walked to the nearest convenience store. He bought a pregnancy test as covertly as possible, but he was sure that the saleswoman had recognized who he was. Media fascination with him had yet to disappear completely. He was just glad that there weren’t any reporters or photographers stalking him today.
When he returned home, he sequestered himself in the master suite bathroom. He drank a whole bottle of water and half of a second before he felt the urge. When he was done, he stared at the result. He had no idea how much time passed. A minute? 15? An hour?
When he was done, he grabbed his phone. It rang twice before the recipient picked up.
“Izuku,” Enji said. “What is it?”
“I’m pregnant,” he said. “Alpha, I’m going to have your pups.”

Chapter 6: The Lion's Protection
Chapter Text
Izuku’s life changed overnight. At first he thought it was just people being considerate. A few days later, when things were still the same, Izuku was convinced that something was going on. A few days after that, he was certain.
It started out innocently enough. There were people opening doors for him, offering to help him carry things, and many more people helping him with menial tasks. It made him feel conflicted. On the one hand, it was good to know that people were willing to help. On the other, it was a little insulting when people offered to help him carry papers, of all things.
The next thing was that one of Enji’s sidekicks, Butane, suddenly started joining him on patrols much more often. Butane also had a tendency to stick close to Izuku, even if it was from a respectable distance. Butane wasn’t the sort to offer to carry Izuku’s things, so that was something. He made himself useful in other ways, such as making other people maintain a wide berth from him. It was a bit irritating.
The last straw, however, came when there was a sudden addition to Enji’s house staff. This change took the form of two ever-present security guards. The first was named Kaito Kirishima, a man with spiky crimson hair and a short beard. He was a large beta man with a quirk that allowed him to create large spikes on his body. The other was a shorter beta man with long silver hair named Hakaku Morikawa. His quirk allowed him to fly at great speeds.
There were other, normal members of this security detail. There were about half a dozen in total, most with quirks involving speed, flight, or defense. Only Kirishima and Morikawa followed him everywhere, though. Except the bathroom, thankfully.
All of this occurred within two weeks after he found out about his being pregnant. His life was starting to feel pretty crowded. Izuku felt irritated on good days and angry on bad ones. Why did he need so much protection now? Enji was always protective, but that was nothing before this.
Izuku let his hand rest on his stomach. It was too soon to feel anything. He only knew that they were there, however many pups that he was going to have. Enji’s last litter had been 4, and considering what happened to his wife, Izuku hoped that he didn’t have quite that many. Regardless, it was too soon to treat him like an invalid.
He approached the office he shared with Enji. He took a deep breath before he took the papers that Hakaku was carrying for him. Papers, of all things! They were just reports about what the agency’s sidekicks had been up to. There was another one that indicated that Bakugou had been compliant with the terms of his suspension, whatever that was.
“Wait out here, please,” Izuku said.
“Aye, sir,” Kaito replied. They still took up positions at either side of the door, as though Enji wasn't the number 2 hero in Japan. Izuku sighed as he opened it. Enji sat at his desk, same as he always did, and didn’t look the least bit concerned about the fact that Izuku had guards following him everywhere he went.
Izuku marched right up to Enji’s desk with the reports, which he pointedly avoided giving to him. Enji was typing away at his computer, probably responding to that email that Gran Torino sent him a week ago. Enji had a tendency to let personal emails sit around on the back burner. Especially from anyone as connected to All Might as Gran Torino.
“Anything noteworthy in the reports?” Enji asked without looking up.
“Not particularly,” Izuku said. “The district attorney appreciates the reduction in issues since Kacchan was suspended.”
“I’m sure he does,” Enji replied. “He may be your friend, but I don’t miss dealing with his bullshit.”
Izuku wasn’t sure what to say to that. It was true that Kacchan was a passionate person, often to the point of taking it too far, but he couldn’t deny that Kacchan’s restraint was… lacking. Even if he knew why that was, it didn't serve as an excuse. Kacchan would have to learn to control himself at some point if he wanted to make it anywhere as a hero.
“Burnin also reported that she’s getting close to a breakthrough on the string of jewelry store robberies,” Izuku said.
“Tell her to catch the bastards,” Enji said.
“Yes, sir,” Izuku said. He still didn’t leave, though he set the stack of reports down for Enji to go through himself for the finer details.
“Is there anything else?” Enji asked. “If not, sit down. You don’t need to overexert yourself.”
“There is, actually, sir,” Izuku said. As irritated as he was, though, he still tried to be polite. “Is it really necessary for me to have a security detail follow me around everywhere?”
“You think it isn’t?” Enji asked. He looked up to look Izuku in the eyes.
“Well, no,” Izuku said. “I can’t help but think that this agency is one of the safest places in the city for me to be. Even so, why should I need half a dozen bodyguards to accompany me everywhere?”
“Your safety is exactly why you have that security detail,” Enji replied. “Rei had one when she was pregnant and she had a quirk to rely upon if she ran into trouble. You don’t.”
“I still don’t think I need quite this much protection,” Izuku said. “What happens in 8 or 9 months when it comes time to give birth? Will they go on to look for more work?”
“Of course not,” Enji replied. “They will stay on to protect the pups and you. You will be vulnerable after you give birth.”
“So they’re going to stick around for the foreseeable future?” Izuku said. He threw up his hands in frustration and groaned.
“What’s the big deal?” Enji asked. “I can’t be around all the time and I need to know that you’re in safe hands.”
“What about privacy? What if I need to be discreet? Everyone is going to know where I am with this kind of group following me everywhere!” Izuku replied.
“Don’t exaggerate,” Enji said. “Many important and famous people have similar security details and manage to go about their lives normally. You’ll grow accustomed to it, just give it time.”
“I don’t want to give it time!” Izuku cried. “I want to be able to have a normal life.”
“You stopped having that life when you became my mate!” Enji replied as he stood. He glared down at Izuku, but Izuku just glared back at him. “This is not up for debate. I must ensure that you are protected.”
“This is up for debate,” Izuku said. “What are you so afraid of?”
“You know what,” Enji said lowly.
“But why? How often do villains actually go after heroes’ mates?” Izuku asked.
“More often than you would think,” Enji said. “It tends to get swept under the rugs to protect heroes’ privacy.”
“Really?” Izuku asked. Enji nodded. He walked around the desk and stood at one of the windows overlooking the city. He crossed his hands behind his back as he looked out.
“One of my first partners after I became a pro hero was attacked,” Enji said. “He was an omega, handsome, and he insisted he didn’t need protection, even though my mentors all encouraged me to find people to keep him safe. One day he was captured by a villain and detained. I rescued him, but he broke up with me a few months later. The trauma was… too much. He was in therapy for a long time because of the experience.”
“I had no idea,” Izuku said.
“No, you didn’t,” Enji replied. “I used my connections with the media to ensure the incident didn’t get out to protect our privacy.”
“Makes sense,” Izuku said. “I’m sorry.”
Enji hummed. “It’s for the best,” he said as he turned around. “That’s why you have people protecting you.”
Izuku sighed and leaned against the desk. It was unfortunate, but it made sense. It was logical. He still didn’t like it though. Villains would likely stop at nothing to hurt the heroes that they blamed for their woes. Enji likely had more than one target on his back, considering his place as the number 2 hero in the country.
That, and there was another concern. Izuku let his hand rest over his stomach, where his pups were just beginning to grow. Would he really be able to keep up with Enji in 7 months when his body was round and his ankles were swollen? Having bodyguards around to help him out if he needed them to made a certain amount of sense. Crime was down for the moment, something most of the media attributed to All Might, but there was no way of knowing how long that would last.
Then there was the question of what happened after Izuku gave birth. Whether or not he continued to help Enji with his work, his pups would be vulnerable for years. Having people to protect them would make Izuku able to choose whether he continued working and ensured their safety.
“I understand,” Izuku said. “I guess it’ll just take some getting used to.”
“It usually does,” Enji replied. He got up and walked around the desk to lay a hand on Izuku’s back. “For what it’s worth, I’m sorry I didn’t tell you beforehand. It slipped my mind.”
“Thank you,” Izuku said. He leaned back against his mate. Enji felt warm and hard against his back. He was a sturdy presence, one that felt as natural to Izuku now as his own body. He didn’t know if that was part of being true mates, but it was still reassuring.
On the outskirts of Musutafu stood a relic of a structure. High concrete walls jutted up among a field of grass distantly surrounded by asphalt roads that meandered far around, as though the civil engineers who built them wanted to forget that the structure existed. It was likely true. Nearer to the structure, the earth was kept scrupulously shorn of trees, bushes, and any other unnecessary shrubbery.
The bones of the structure had changed little with the advent of quirks in society. There were several high guard towers armed and vigilant against the threat that lurked within. Solid walls unadorned by windows were higher than they had been a hundred years before. A net charged with high voltage electricity floated like a gossamer curtain over the single outdoor area where prisoners were allowed to prevent anyone from simply flying out.
Fuchu Prison was once the largest and most secure prison in Japan. It was still a state of the art facility. However, Shizuoka prison was specially built to contain the most dangerous villains in the country. Almost every major hero had helped place someone in its walls, from All Might to Gran Torino.
It was the middle of the afternoon. Most everyone was outside enjoying what small measures of freedom the jail afforded the inmates. There were no cigarettes, since more than a few inmates could make use of lighters. There were very few objects in the yard to prevent them from attacking each other or the guards.
Some of the residents lived here in relative infamy. Great villains who went toe to toe with one of the great heroes on the outside and failed. Many of the most notorious were rarely seen, so dangerous that not even Shizuoka prison was willing to afford them even a little freedom for fear of their escape.
One such villain was actually somewhat unknown. His name was Domino, and his exploits were mostly anonymous. He was held here in this remote cell due to his power. It could not be checked against, so the only thing that could open his cell door was a full hand scan from a guard.
On one end of the building, a guard casually discarded an empty water bottle. The throw went too far and the bottle hit a cafeteria worker, who sloshed a spoonful of some dubious content allegedly called “soup” onto the floor. Another guard, recently on break and in good spirits, stepped in the puddle and slipped. It wasn’t a serious fall, but it was enough to sprain his ankle.
“You okay, man?” his buddy asked him. Akio. He was a good guard. His quirk wasn’t especially useful. He could cause a ringing sound. “That came outta nowhere.”
“Yeah, I’m fine, I’ll just walk it off,” the guard said.
His name was Naoki and he was a middle aged guard from a generation where quirks weren’t as common as they were today. He didn’t have one. It was why he became a guard here, so he could have the chance to keep these damn villains where they belonged.
At any rate, the rest of his day went less satisfactorily than it had started. He managed to hide his slight limp enough that he was able to get through the rest of the day. Naoki was tired, but he took pride in his work. He patrolled his sections of the prison as vigilantly as he would on a normal day. His patrol ended in the section with the highest security. He passed a room where there was a group of prisoners learning some kind of skill in case they ever got out. Naoki secretly hoped they never did. None of these people were likely to change their ways.
A thousand days, Naoki had walked past this room. More than that easily. On this day, though, his luck wasn’t with him. Another inmate had happened to drop a length of cloth. Coincidentally, no one had bothered to pick it up. Also coincidentally, Naoki had just left the bathroom and his shoes were sticky. He groaned as he attempted to shake it off. The cloth stayed though. Eventually, he tried to stand on one leg to take it off. This would have been completely fine, if it hadn’t been for the sprain.
Naoki hissed in pain as he stumbled. When he stumbled, he set his hand to steady himself and it landed on the hand scanner where the worst villains were contained. The door opened, but even this didn’t do much. All the prisoners were stuck behind their own doors.
Naoki stumbled through the door. It was where he was supposed to end up, anyway. He limped more noticeably now. The pain from his sprain was worse now and he grunted as he started down the hall, a bead of sweat trickled down his brow. He told himself it wasn’t from fear. He told himself the same thing every time he came here. Sometimes it worked better than others.
Domino grinned from his cell as he heard the footsteps approaching his cell.
“Greetings, guardsman,” he said. “You seem a little uncomfortable.”
“Shut it, scum,” Naoki snapped.
“Oh, that’s not very nice,” Domino replied. “I was concerned. You know you’re my favorite guard.”
“Whatever,” Naoki replied. He limped on.
As his luck began, so did it end. There was yet another puddle, this time from a leaky pipe above them. He stepped too quickly with his bad foot and fell again. He yelled in frustration as he fell and hit his head against the bars of the cell. His eyes rolled into the back of his head as he fell to the floor.
Domino sighed as he got up. “That took more effort than expected, but it’s worth it.”
He reached through the door and took the guard’s arm. He propped the man up somewhat awkwardly until he could angle the man’s hand against the scanner in front of the door. The door buzzed as it opened to the side. When it was open, Domino dragged the guard’s unconscious body into the cell and quickly stripped him down. In 5 minutes flat, he had the guard’s uniform on and Naoki was dressed in a set of prisoner’s clothes.
Domino casually straightened his tie as he walked out of his cell and closed it behind him. Then he walked out the door, the jeers of his fellow villains chasing after him. He joined a group of guards making their way home and slipped through the front door.
As he felt the sun fall upon his skin for the first time in years, he looked up to the sky with a determined smile.
Finally, he thought. Time for phase 2.
Izuku sank down onto Enji’s cock and cried out with pleasure. He gripped Enji’s pecs as he started to bounce on Enji’s cock. It felt incredible, like every part of his body sang with ecstasy when Enji was inside him. Enji thrust up as Izuku went down, pushing ever deeper into Izuku's body. Enji’s hands squeezed Izuku's ass possessively and Izuku could feel the delightful, familiar burn of Enji’s flame as he marked Izuku's ass with his handprints.
"Daddy," Izuku whimpered. Enji rumbled lowly as he sucked a mark onto Izuku's neck. He'd gotten like this ever since Izuku announced his pregnancy. He marked Izuku even more than he used to. Izuku loved it. He purred as he leaned into the touch, his hands rising to caress his alpha’s head and scratch his scalp gently.
"I love it when you call me that," Enji said against Izuku's skin. "I want you to call me that whenever we're alone. Understood?"
"Yes, Daddy," Izuku said. Enji grinned and thrust up, harder than before and Izuku cried out.
"Good boy," Enji purred. "That's Daddy's boy. Got my pups in your belly, don't you."
"Yes, Daddy," Izuku moaned. He squeezed around Enji's massive cock as it grazed against his prostate. The feeling sent sparks through his body and he laid against Enji’s powerful body. "Feels so good, Daddy."
"Yeah, you like having my pups in you," Enji said. He grinned and wrapped his arms tightly around Izuku's body as he thrust up again. "Don't worry, sweetheart, I'll give you as many pups as you want. Just say the word and your Daddy will give you more."
"Please," Izuku whined. "Wanna come, Daddy."
"Do it," Enji groaned. His pace quickened and he slammed his cock into Izuku's ass. Izuku moaned against Enji’s body. He could feel the knot starting to catch on the rim of his ass. Every time it went in, it pressed against his prostate.
Izuku ground himself against Enji’s body. He chased his pleasure frantically. He gripped Enji’s shoulders and scratched them as he clung to them. He didn't grip his cock. He didn't even think about it. The pleasure he felt overwhelmed him so much he didn't even think about it.
Enji did though. He reached down between them and took Izuku's small, omega cock in his big hand. Izuku whined as he felt Enji’s thick fingers jerk him off. Enji played him like a fiddle. A squeeze here, a thrust there, a roll of his hips, a suck against Izuku's collarbone.
Then, just as Izuku was going to cum, Enji rolled them over so that he was on top and Izuku was laying on his back with his legs spread. Enji put Izuku’s ankles on his shoulders and Izuku cried out as Enji thrust deeper than before. Enji thrust fast and hard and Izuku clung to the sheets beneath him as he felt his climax approaching. It coiled in his stomach. Heat pooled in his groin as Enji jerked his cock in the exact way Izuku loved. He made his hand mildly warm, enough to add sensation to the pleasure.
Izuku cried out and squeezed around Enji’s cock as he came. Cum shot from his cock onto Enji’s fingers. A few seconds later, Enji grunted and groaned as his knot popped. He thrust it in until they were locked together. Warm, thick cum shot into Izuku's body and Izuku sighed happily as he collapsed against the bed. He was covered in sweat, but all he could look at was the image of Enji, his thick arms and powerful frame similarly covered in glistening sweat.
Enji raised his hand to his lips and licked Izuku’s cum from his fingers. He moaned softly, as though the taste were a pleasant treat he intended to savor. Izuku sighed again and closed his eyes. He squeezed around Enji's cock, still hard inside him. Every now and then it pulsed as Enji shot more cum into Izuku’s waiting body. Izuku relished the feeling. It made him feel warm and complete in some way he couldn't fully describe.
"I love you," he said. "Daddy, I love you."
Enji looked down at him. He had a soft look on his face, insofar as someone who looked so stern could look soft. He leaned down and kissed Izuku softly. It was sweet.
"I think I love you, too, Izuku," he murmured.
Izuku wrapped his arms around Enji's neck. Enji slowly situated them until they were laying down side by side. Enji held him and stroked his back until his knot went down.
"What if my pups don't have powers?" Izuku asked.
"I'm sure they will," Enji replied.
"Yeah, but what if they don't?" Izuku said.
Enji took a deep breath in. Izuku could see his mind working. Gears turned and the man known throughout Japan for his ferocity and tactical thinking considered Izuku's question.
"You know," Enji said. "When I mated Rei, I only thought about having pup that could surpass All Might and training them up until they did so."
Izuku didn't say anything. The rivalry between All Might and Endeavor was well known. For ten years, Enji had said that his goal was to become the number 1 hero and bring down All Might from his throne. It was a harder task than Enji initially thought, from the way he admitted to the taboo.
"I thought that there was no chance that I would ever become more than what I am now," Enji continued. "I still don't know of that's true or not."
"So you decided that your pups would do it?" Izuku asked.
"Yes," Enji said. He sounded ashamed. "I saw them as tools, not children, and I didn't give them the attention they deserved."
"It's not too late," Izuku said.
"I know," Enji replied. "That's why I've decided… it doesn't matter."
"What?"
"It doesn't matter if our pups have weak quirks, no quirks, or amazing quirks," Enji said. "All I want is for you… and them… to be happy."
Izuku smiled. "Did I make you soft?"
Enji huffed, looking offended. Without a second thought, he brought one hand down and smacked Izuku’s ass roughly. Izuku cried out but then laughed until Enji smacked his ass again.
"Never," Enji said with a growl. "I said I'm not a soft man, but I'm an alpha, and my pride demands that you be satisfied in the life I give you."
"If you say so," Izuku said with a sly grin. Enji smiled wickedly.
"You're going to test me, eh? Fine. I'll show you how soft I am."
Izuku's laughter lasted for a short time before it became moans. Enji didn't stop until Izuku took back what he said. Even then, Enji added a few more smacks for good measure, the kind that made tears flow down Izuku's cheeks even as the warmth and pain made him hunger for more. In his mind, though, he couldn't imagine Enji being cruel towards him, and that was everything he needed.

Chapter Text
Izuku marked the fourth month of his pregnancy with a small celebration. It had been 2 weeks since he’d had morning sickness and he was relieved. Enji tried to help out where he could, but he knew that his mate would much rather rest and wake up peacefully rather than run from the bed to vomit his guts out. Rei had dealt with this, too, but it was somehow worse seeing his true mate like this.
Enji felt vaguely guilty about having such thoughts. He had been fond of Rei, after a fashion, but he hadn’t truly loved her. Nor had she loved him, he was sure. He was not an easy person to get along with. Their relationship, brief as it was, had been pre-arranged. It was business, not pleasure.
How he ended up with someone like Izuku was beyond him. Izuku’s bright smile warmed Enji. More and more he found himself unable to keep from smiling back, even when he was in public and trying to stay the stoic, imposing hero image he had cultivated over the years. Izuku had that effect on him. He laughed, he smiled, he joked. Izuku had a way of drawing him out of himself and others out of themselves.
No, Enji had never done anything like that with Rei. Still, he saw his late wife in his pups’ smiling faces, especially Fuyumi and Natsuo. Both of them had her same white hair, which he suspected would mean they would inherit her ice power. Beyond that, however, they were kind pups with quietly strong wills, where Toya was more hot-headed and Shoto was quiet and reserved.
Unfortunately, the end of Izuku’s morning sickness marked the beginning of a new, even more exhausting symptom of his pregnancy: mood swings.
Enji stalked down the sidewalk on one of his patrols. For once, he didn’t pay that close attention to what his surroundings were. He walked down the street and people gave him a wide berth even as others gawked and stared. He bore it. This was part of being a successful hero. People took notice of you.
“Hey boss, why are we out here again?” Burnin asked. His top sidekick had a fiery personality, but she was effective in a fight, though she tended to be a bit arrogant. Unlike Bakugou, though, she was able to keep a lid on it when it was necessary.
“Because we need to patrol,” Enji said.
“That’s not what I meant,” she replied. “Come on, we just did a patrol a few hours ago.”
“You want to stop patrolling?” Enji asked sternly.
“Nah, just figured you’d have other stuff to do. You know, boring stuff like paperwork and emails and making nice with the government.”
“Maybe I don’t feel like doing those things,” Enji said.
“That’s a load of bull,” she said with a scoff. “The Endeavor I know wouldn’t leave a job undone just because he didn’t like it. He’d do it quick and move on.”
Enji ignored her and returned his attention to his surroundings. All was well. It was the middle of the afternoon, which meant that people were going to lunch or running errands, but most everyone else was at home or working. It was the middle of the summer and the hot, humid weather discouraged most from being outside unless it was necessary.
Thinking of the temperature caused Enji’s mind to shift to the… bizarre exchange he’d had earlier. He shook it from his mind. He still didn’t fully understand it, or what had caused Izuku to get upset. One moment everything had been fine. The next… well. It wasn’t fine.
“Did you and little Zuzu have a fight?” she asked. She practically preened. Her somewhat intense loyalty towards Enji had almost immediately extended towards Izuku once she heard about their relationship. The nickname was ridiculous, but Enji couldn’t get her to abandon it. She said it was from an old animated show her grandparents made her watch.
Regardless, he set his jaw and ignored her. This was apparently the wrong thing to do. She grinned victoriously.
“I knew it! Come on, what happened? Spill the beans, boss!”
“Nothing happened,” Enji growled.
“If you say so, but that’s not what your smell says,” she said. “It practically screams sad, brooding alpha.”
Enji sighed loudly and stopped walking. He put his hands on his hips and looked down at his sidekick. She was shorter, but she was also powerful. There was a reason she was his number 1 sidekick. She could probably go solo at this point, but every time he suggested it, she laughed and said she had no intention of leaving his agency.
“I have no idea what happened,” he said quietly. He scanned the area for media personalities. “One moment we were talking about going to the beach or something and the next, he started crying and I got kicked out of my own office.”
“Well, things have been pretty quiet lately,” she said. “When was the last time you took a vacation, anyway? Can HR get on your case about not taking PTO?”
Enji took a deep breath to suppress his temper. Izuku had been trying to help him with that. He also ignored the fact that HR had, in fact, sent several pointed emails regarding the fact that he hadn’t used any time off in about 4 years. The fact that he ran the agency was apparently not something worth considering.
“Also, how does someone kick you out of your office?” Burnin asked with a grin. “I didn’t think anyone could manage that.”
“Shut up,” he growled. “Go do your damn job.”
“In case you ain’t noticed, boss, there’s nothing goin’ on right now,” she said. She put her hands on her hips. “How did you make Zuzu cry?”
Enji growled again and bared his teeth at her. His quirk flared up, the streaks of fire on his suit growing in intensity as he glared at Burnin. She just growled back. His number one sidekick was one of the few people he couldn’t intimidate. At the moment, he wasn’t sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing.
“I may have mentioned that his emotions were becoming… unpredictable,” he said.
“You didn’t! Dammit, Enji, what did you go and do that for?!” she demanded.
He shouted in frustration and pushed past her. He walked even more quickly than he had before. He didn’t even bother to try pretending to patrol now. He couldn’t help but wonder what to do about the situation. The very bodyguards he’d assigned to help protect his mate were the ones who kept him from getting back in to apologize. Loyalty was one thing, but surely it wasn’t necessary to side against the person who paid their damn salaries.
“Fess up,” she said as she caught up to him. “What happened?”
“Izuku wanted to go shopping,” Enji said.
“So?”
“I told him I was busy,” Enji replied. “He wanted to get swimsuits or something. I told him it might not be such a good idea for him to swim in his condition.”
“Endeavor, you know pregnant people can swim, right?” Burnin said dryly.
Enji didn’t reply. The only thing he could think of was his pretty little mate, prancing around in a swimsuit for all the world to see. His beautiful body, already starting to swell with their pups, bare to the world with only a skimpy swimsuit to conceal it.
“Anyway, he started crying and I was already frustrated with something else and I said it without thinking,” he said. “Technically he didn’t kick me out. His damn bodyguards did it.”
“So where are you going?” Burnin asked. “Clearly you’re not patrolling, whatever you say. Gonna buy something nice to butter him up?”
“No,” Enji said firmly.
He looked around. He had reached an intersection in the part of the city where lots of fancy shops were located. It was a frequent target for burglaries due to the high quality of the products the companies dealt in. Boutiques, jewelers, glassworkers, china shops, and furniture stores all advertised their wares here. Enji didn’t come here all that often. There wasn’t much here that he needed. The only thing he got here were suits and the occasional dress shoes. Regardless of his disdain for politicking, he was required to do so on occasion.
Today, however, he was required to be here, and not for any need of his own. He did pause every now and then to look at what other stores were showing in their windows. He saw some impressive glass products in one store, but he kept walking even so. It was unlikely that Izuku would appreciate something so flimsy and fragile as a gift.
After about an hour of wandering through the streets, he arrived at a smaller, less well advertised store. It was for his own comfort that he came here. Despite the fact that all the companies in the area would likely respect his privacy, he couldn’t say the same about the other customers. The other stores were all more popular, more trafficked, and therefore, more likely to realize who he was and what he was buying.
Of course, he was also there in broad daylight in his hero suit, so there wasn’t much of a chance that he would go unnoticed here now. With that in mind, he walked right up to the front of the store. The owner was a smart beta woman who dressed in a black suit. She smiled at him knowingly as he approached.
“I’m here for my order,” Enji said.
“Of course, sir,” she said. “Would you like to sit down?”
“That won’t be necessary,” Enji replied.
She nodded and walked to the back of the store, where she unlocked a large, heavy door. It only took her a few minutes to return with a black wooden box. She unclipped it and raised the lid to reveal a collar. It was set in polished black leather and inlaid with rubies and turquoise. Each gemstone was surrounded by polished red gold. The rubies were cut to catch and reflect the light, while turquoise were polished to a fine sheen. On either end of the collar was a clasp so that it would click comfortably around Izuku’s neck.
“Perfect,” Enji said. He closed the box and took out his checkbook. He quickly and efficiently filled out the predetermined amount with an extra tip for her discretion. He ripped the check out and handed it to her. “Thank you for your assistance. This is as well made as I hoped it would be.”
“Of course, sir,” she replied as she took the check. “I hope your omega enjoys the collar. If you ever need anything else, please don’t hesitate to return.”
Enji just nodded as he took the box and tucked it into a nondescript tote bag. The odds that someone would try to rob him, of all people, was laughably low, but he didn’t want to take any chances.
“Wow, boss, didn’t think you were such a big spender!” Burnin said as they left the store. “That collar looks like it cost a pretty penny.”
“You really expected that I would get my true mate anything less than the best?” Enji asked. He tucked the box under his arm carefully. “Finish patrolling, I’m heading back to the agency.”
“Good luck, boss! Tell Zuzu I said hi!” she called after him.
Enji barely noticed the walk back to the agency headquarters. A bank or jewelry store could have been getting robbed and he wouldn’t have noticed. He didn’t even really notice the fact that people gave him a wider berth than usual. Heroes and civilians alike passed by without so much as a glance from him. The only thing he could think about was getting back to the agency so that he could collar his omega properly.
As soon as the agency was in sight, he broke into a quick jog. He ran right through the doors and past the front desk. Then, the god damned elevator took its sweet time getting down to the lobby. What was the point in having an express elevator if it still took forever for him to get to his office. He could probably fly up there faster… and cause a fire in the elevator shaft and burn the building down. But who cared about that?
He let out a growl of frustration just before the elevator door opened. It was empty, of course. Only he, Izuku, and a select few people had access to the executive elevator. He jammed the button to his office and then the close button. The elevator began to play some soothing music that irritated Enji so much he almost punched the speaker. Maybe his next project for the building would be to install faster elevators that were completely silent.
Finally, fucking finally, the elevator reached the floor his office was on and he stepped out. Izuku’s bodyguards, Kaito Kirishima and Hakaku Morikawa, stood at parade rest outside the door. Enji nodded at them in greeting as he reached for the door. Kaito stepped in front of the doorknob.
“What do you think you’re doing, Kirishima?” Enji demanded with a growl.
“I’m sorry, sir,” Kirishima said. “But Izuku has requested that no one disturb him.”
“I’m his alpha,” Enji said. He tried to hold back another growl but failed. He could feel his flames grow as his frustration built.
“I’m sorry, sir, but he was quite insistent that no one bother him,” Morikawa said more diplomatically. “I can ask if he is willing to see you, though.”
Enji took a deep breath as he pondered whether to simply break down the door. He quickly dismissed the idea. Not only was his door specifically built to resist quirks, but he had the collar with him. If anything happened to it, then the whole reason for his coming here would be defeated and he would have to wait even more months to collar Izuku as he deserved to be. It already bothered both of them that the only collar he had was the one that Enji put there with his hands, even if both of them enjoyed it.
“Please do,” he said stiffly. With that, Morikawa held a hand to the earpiece he was wearing.
“Mr. Todoroki? Endeavor is here to see you,” he said. The response took a while to come, but soon enough, Morikawa nodded. “Understood, sir,” he said. He looked up at Enji. “He says you can go through.”
Damn straight, Enji thought. With that, he opened the door and pushed through. As soon as he was inside, he locked it. He had no intention of being interrupted unless All Might himself broke down the door.
Izuku was sitting at his own desk. He looked at the screen, stubbornly avoiding looking at Enji. Enji knew that Izuku was watching him, though. He always did when Enji entered the room. Izuku could be subtle, though, something Enji admittedly struggled with. Enji walked right up to Izuku until he walked around the desk to kneel beside him.
“I’m sorry,” he said softly. “I’ve never been good with… emotions. I shouldn’t have brought up yours.”
Just like that, Izuku’s eyes filled with tears. Shit, between him, the pups, and his mother, it seemed like there was always someone crying in his house now. Enji didn’t quite know what to do with it. Still, he smiled in what he hoped was something reassuring.
“I’m not mad at you… anymore,” Izuku said. “This is just… all so weird. I don’t know what I’m doing.”
“I… am ashamed to say that I don’t know much more than you,” Enji said. “I was not the alpha that Rei should have had during her pregnancy.”
“You’ve been… really good so far for mine,” Izuku said. “I’m sorry I kicked you out.”
Enji smiled. “You’re the only one allowed to kick me out,” he said. He held the box up. “I got something for you.”
Izuku’s eyes widened and the tears began to fall down his adorable cheeks. His eyes were red from crying and Enji wanted to punch himself for how stupid he had been earlier.
“You didn’t have to get me anything,” Izuku said.
“Too bad, I got something anyway,” Enji replied. He pushed the box towards Izuku, who took it eagerly. Enji studied Izuku’s face as an unfamiliar feeling settled in his stomach. Anxiety. Izuku opened the box slowly and when he did, he gasped softly. He reached out and gently took the collar out with trembling hands.
“Enji,” he breathed. “This is…”
Enji stood. “Let me put it on you,” he said.
Izuku handed him the collar and Enji carefully wrapped it around Izuku’s neck over the mark he’d put there just a couple days ago. He fastened the collar so that it fit comfortably and gave Izuku room to breathe. As soon as Enji was done, Izuku jumped up from his chair and ran over to the bathroom. Enji followed, only slightly concerned that Izuku was about to vomit or something. When he arrived, he saw Izuku staring at his reflection in wonder.
“This is… beautiful,” he said. “Enji, when did you get this?”
“I placed the order months ago,” he said. “I only got the notification that it was finished after you kicked me out.”
“And you had this made for me?” Izuku asked. He clutched his hands at his chest.
“You are my true mate,” Enji said. “If it’s not for you, then I don’t know who it’s for.”
Izuku closed his eyes and pressed his face against Enji’s chest. Without pausing to think about it, Enji wrapped his arms around Izuku. He held the tiny omega gently against him. It was a strange sensation. He wasn’t known to be a gentle man. He was known for his intensity, his ruthless pursuit of villains and criminals, and his callous treatment of the media. Being gentle was not part of that. How Izuku got him to be this way was unknown to him.
Izuku reached up and wrapped his arms around Enji’s neck as he stood on his toes. Enji looked down at his omega and saw a dark, mischievous glint in his eyes. His cock twitched in his hero gear as he grinned down at his mate.
“Daddy?” Izuku asked. The word made his twitching cock become fully hard in his pants.
“Yes, omega?” Enji replied lowly.
“I want you to fuck me,” Izuku whispered. “In just the collar.”
Enji growled low in his throat. He gripped the back of Izuku’s shirt and jerked sharply. The fabric ripped easily in his hands and he pulled it apart until it was nothing but ruined cloth that he tossed to the floor. Izuku gasped and laughed as Enji bent down and picked up his omega. He tossed the younger man over his shoulder and walked out to the office. No omega of his would be fucked in a bathroom. Enji laid Izuku out on the desk and reached down to grab Izuku’s ass.
“It does things to me,” he murmured against Izuku’s lips. “To see you collared properly like a good, mated omega.”
Izuku hummed and kissed Enji lightly. When Enji pushed his tongue into Izuku’s mouth, the omega opened readily. He tasted like strawberries, light and sweet. Enji kissed him greedily. As he did so, he reached down and cupped Izuku’s pert, wonderful ass… and pulled the pants until they, too, ripped along the seam. A second later, the pants lay in tatters on the floor. Izuku gasped as his body was slowly but thoroughly exposed and each inch that Enji revealed increased his desire for his petite mate. His patience also deteriorated.
Izuku kicked his shoes off and his socks followed soon after. Finally, Enji’s eyes fell upon the undergarments Izuku wore. He froze.
“My omega,” he said. His voice felt unusually low and gravelly. What he saw was a vision. Izuku wore a pair of delicate, lacy blue lingerie. It contrast well against Izuku’s delicate, pale skin. “When did you get these?”
“D-Do you like them?” Izuku asked.
“You know I do,” Enji said. “Answer the question.”
“I kinda got them… last week,” he said. “I wanted to try it before I got too fat.”
Enji pulled down the lingerie to reveal Izuku’s small cock, hard and leaking with need. He could smell Izuku’s slick. The scent of pomegranate and bergamot reached his nostrils and it was all he could do to keep himself from burying his face into Izuku’s delicious ass. It was a battle he quickly lost.
Without so much as a word of warning, Enji flipped Izuku over so that he was bent over the desk. His ass stuck out as Izuku presented himself for Enji. The sight of it was almost enough to make Enji believe in something sacred. The sight of Izuku’s ass, wet with slick and dripping just a bit of his seed from their coupling this morning, was beautiful. Enji activated his quirk just a little bit to burn his handprints into the plump mounds of Izuku’s ass.
"I swear, no matter how big you get, I will still buy you lingerie," Enji purred.
Before Izuku could respond, Enji leaned in and dragged his tongue up over Izuku's hole. Izuku moaned loudly with that precious hitch in his voice that Enji knew meant he really loved what he was feeling. Enji squeezed his ass tighter and began to slowly savor the magnificent taste of his omega. Izuku moaned and pushed back against Enji’s mouth.
"A-Alpha, Daddy," Izuku moaned.
His voice dripped with need and desperation. The begging made Enji’s cock throb in response. God, even just Izuku’s voice did things to him. Still, Enji made himself torture his omega by slowly sinking his tongue into Izuku’s delicious ass. As soon as he did, Izuku arched his back and gasped. Enji looked up into his omega's face. He looked so sweet. His eyes were squeezed shut, his lips were parted, and his cheeks were flushed bright red. Best of all, the rubies in his collar shone in the light. Izuku’s cheeks were almost as red as those precious rubies.
His collar. The sign that an omega was taken and belonged to an alpha. The collar that Izuku wept to have the chance to wear. Enji loved to choke Izuku. The collar wouldn't stop him from doing that, or from him using his quirk to burn his hand into Izuku’s skin. But seeing the collar and knowing that no one would dare touch Izuku because they knew he belonged to Enji… the thought was enough for Enji to rise to his feet.
He hastily stepped out of his hero gear and let it fall to the floor. He was naked long enough to realize how much cooler the air was before he lined his fat cock up to Izuku's hole. He bent over until his mouth was against the shell of Izuku’s ear.
"I hope you're ready, little boy," Enji growled. "Because Daddy's gonna fuck you so hard you won't walk straight."
"You promise?" Izuku asked. Enji grinned. He could practically hear the naughty smile in Izuku’s voice. Enji might be soft for Izuku, but his omega was becoming deliciously depraved for his alpha.
By way of answer, Enji thrust hard into Izuku’s ass. The omega moaned loudly as Enji assumed a punishing pace. His hips slapped against Izuku's ass and every time they did, Izuku released another precious moan. The omega gripped the edge of the desk as Enji slammed into him. His ass squeezed tightly around Enji's cock, the perfect amount of so that he saw stars.
"Well, boy? Is this hard enough for you?" Enji asked. Izuku's heat felt incredible around his cock. In response, Izuku squeezed harder around him and looked over his shoulder. A surprisingly mischievous grin appeared on his face.
"It c-could always b-be harder, D-Daddy," Izuku said. Enji couldn't help but grin himself.
"You say that now, little boy, but Daddy always has more tricks up his sleeve," he replied. With that, he wrapped his arms around Izuku's body and pulled him up until Izuku was flush against Enji’s body. Despite the weight he had put on, Enji had no trouble whatsoever holding him. The thought of Izuku’s body becoming big and soft due to having his pups made his cock twitch again as he thrust up into Izuku’s ass.
“Oh, fuck, Daddy!” Izuku cried. Enji gripped Izuku’s small cock between three of his large fingers and jerked it in time with his thrusts. Izuku clung to him, his fingers digging into the hard muscles of Enji’s shoulders. From this angle, Enji could see his cock pushing through Izuku’s body until the bulge was visible from his stomach.
“Fuck,” he growled. “I could get used to this view. My cock is so big that it makes a bulge in my omega’s belly.”
“I love it, alpha,” Izuku said. His green eyes were almost black with lust and arousal, and the flush on his face had spread to his chest. He was beautiful like this. Totally surrendered to Enji’s power and the pleasure it brought him. “I love feeling you inside me.”
“If you weren’t already full of my pups,” Enji said. “I put them in you right now.”
“There’s always later,” Izuku said. And fuck, the thought of Izuku having his pups regularly did something to Enji. Large families were rare in Japan, but having such a family seemed appealing when it was with Izuku.
“Whenever you want me to put pups in you, tell me,” Enji said. He fucked his mate harder. “You’ll never be empty if you don’t want to be.”
“Alpha, oh god, please,” Izuku cried. Tears rolled down Izuku’s cheeks. “I want your pups, please!”
He tried to bite down on the mark, but the collar got in the way. Instead, he bit down on Izuku’s shoulder. He could feel his knot forming. It was starting to catch on the rim of Izuku’s ass. Each time it did, Izuku moaned louder. Finally, Enji’s knot popped and tied him and Izuku together. He roared as he shot his seed deep into Izuku’s waiting ass, his womb.
He panted as he held his omega against his body. Izuku trembled in his arms, so Enji carefully sat down in his large, comfortable office chair. Once they were situated, Izuku began to scent him and the contented purring sound emerged. Enji rumbled in reply as he breathed in the heady, sweet scent of pomegranates.
A soft, contented feeling stirred in Enji’s chest where the burning hot ambition had once been. That was still there, but it seemed… tamer than it had been. Normally on days like today, he would be out and about, doing his part to keep the peace. But with All Might acting as the symbol of peace, the world did seem truly peaceful at the moment.
“I love you,” Enji murmured into Izuku’s hair. He wrapped his arms around Izuku and held him gently.
“I know,” Izuku said. “I love you, too. I’m glad you’re my true mate.”
Outside the office, Kaito took his earplugs out to see if things had calmed down. The job to guard Enji’s mate had not mentioned anything about the fact that true mates fucked like rabbits. They were cute together, in an objective sense. If Enji could ever really be called cute. When silence greeted him, he sighed and nodded to his partner. Hakaku took his earplugs out, as well and sighed with relief.
“Well it’s no wonder Mr. Todoroki is pregnant,” Kaito said.
“Just be glad they’ve stopped for now,” Hakaku replied. “At least they’re able to keep their hands to themselves when they’re in public. I knew a pair of true mates from my hometown. They were always all over each other. It was a bit gross.”
“Yeah, I could see Mr. Todoroki being that way, but Endeavor? Never,” Kaito said. They both laughed at the thought until one of Endeavor’s sidekicks came running. It was Burnin, and she held a report of some kind.
“Urgent report for Endeavor, I need to speak to him!” she said.
“Hang on,” Hakaku said.
“Did I mention this was urgent?!” she demanded. “Let me in!”
“If you go in now, Endeavor will probably barbecue you,” Kaito said. Burnin rolled her eyes, which Kaito chose to ignore as he reattached his earpiece and pressed the button. The phone inside rang twice.
“What is it?” came Enji’s gruff voice.
“Burnin is here for you, Endeavor,” Kaito said. “She said it’s urgent.”
“Give me 2 minutes,” Enji replied. With that, the line disconnected.
“Wait here,” Kaito said.
“Are you serious?!” she demanded. “What part of urgent don’t you understand?”
She tried to push past them, but Kaito stepped in her way, as did Hakaku. She looked between them and grinned broadly as her bright, green hair blazed just a bit brighter.
“You two got guts, I’ll give you that,” she said. “But I’m one of Endeavor’s top sidekicks. Keeping me out isn’t something you can do.”
“Endeavor said he would be with you in a couple minutes,” Hakaku said. “Barging in now won’t help you.”
“Yeah, maybe not,” she said. “But it would sure be more fun than waiting around.”
Before Kaito could respond, the door opened and Endeavor stepped out. He was dressed in his usual hero gear. The only sign that anything had happened was in the faint trace of Izuku’s scent on him. He looked down at Burnin.
“What’s this urgent matter they mentioned?” he asked. Just like that, Burnin grew serious as she held out the report to him.
“Domino has escaped prison, sir,” she said. “There’s no trace of him, but the police investigating the incident believe he’s coming for you.”
Endeavor took the report and skimmed it. Kaito vaguely remembered a villain named Domino. He was supposed to have a telekinetic quirk, but he was difficult enough that many pro heroes had trouble apprehending him before Endeavor managed to do it.
“He’s apparently been gone for months,” he growled. “Some top secret prison.”
“Yeah, I got the feeling they wanted to keep it quiet,” Burnin said. “Still, should’ve said something sooner.”
“If he’s had time to entrench himself, he’ll be difficult to bring in again,” Endeavor said. “Have an APB put out so local authorities know to look out for someone with his MO.”
“Yes, sir,” Burnin said with a salute. “I’ll also brief the sidekicks on what to expect if we come across him.”
“Do that,” Endeavor said. With that, he turned to the bodyguards. “You two, come with me, and tell the rest of the bodyguards to assemble at my office. I need to brief them on Domino.”
“Yes, sir,” the two bodyguards said in unison with a salute.
An hour later, Izuku sat with his bodyguards all around him. Usually it was just two of them around him at any one time, but the six of them around him all at once felt… important, especially since all 20 of Enji’s sidekicks were also assembled in the large meeting room. Enji had set up a presentation and he was standing up in front of the room.
Part of why it took so long for the meeting to occur was because two of his bodyguards needed to go to the Todoroki mansion to fetch Izuku a change of clothes. Enji actually seemed to regret the fact that he tore the clothes after he got the report.
“Quiet!” Enji called out. Immediately the din of conversation died. “You’ve all received a copy of the report. Known villain Domino has escaped from prison and the authorities believe that he will target the Endeavor Agency.”
With that, Enji moved to the next slide, depicting Domino’s prison mugshot. He was a skinny man with short-cropped navy blue hair and black eyes who was only a few centimeters taller than Izuku.
“His name is Eiko Nakata,” Enji said. “He successfully eluded numerous pro heroes who attempted to apprehend him several years ago. Who can tell me what his quirk is?”
“Telekinesis, sir!” said one of the sidekicks.
“Wrong! Did you even read the report, dumbass?” Enji shouted.
“His quirk is luck manipulation,” Izuku said. “It’s commonly mistaken for telekinesis because of the way it influences seemingly random chance to impede heroes who go after him.”
Enji smiled at him and Izuku couldn’t help but smile back. “Yes, exactly, Izuku,” he said. “As for the rest of you, this quirk means that it will be next to impossible to determine whether a random accident is, in fact, random or whether it was engineered. You cannot let down your guards!”
“What does he do, sir?” another sidekick asked.
“He mostly focuses on robbing banks and jewelry stores to amass wealth,” Izuku replied. “That said, he does also tend to build bases for himself. Due to the unusual nature of his quirk, he specializes in setting traps and lying in wait when heroes attempt to capture him.”
“Izuku, why don’t you join me up here, since you know so much?” Enji said. Izuku hesitated for a moment. It was long enough for Enji to notice. He nodded and Izuku rose. “What else do you know about Domino?”
“Well, he tends to stay out of sight as much as possible,” Izuku said. “He also specializes in long range attack, which mostly involves activating his traps and using his quirk to influence the outcome.”
“Yes,” Enji said. “For this reason, he can be extremely dangerous when he has had time to establish a base. Thanks to the incompetence of the government authorities investigating his escape, we have only now learned that he is at large. He has had months to build a base and traps to protect himself.”
What followed was a detailed procedure for how to determine if Domino had chosen a location to act as his base. Much of the presentation focused on his previous actions when he was an active villain. There were details that Izuku hadn’t known before, such as Domino’s ability to disguise himself to elude detection. His entire skill set seemed to center around avoiding detection and capture.
By the end of the presentation, Enji had laid out a solid plan to apprehend the villain. He would coordinate with various other pro hero agencies, particularly those that specialize in subtlety and infiltration.
At the end, only Izuku, his bodyguards, and Enji were the only ones left in the room. Enji jerked his head and the bodyguards filed out of the room. When they were totally alone, Enji stepped closer to him.
“You have nothing to be afraid of,” he said. “I will make sure you’re protected. Nothing will happen to you.”
“I’m not afraid,” Izuku said. “Not as long as you’re around.”
“Good,” Enji said. He walked past Izuku. “I have to organize a patrol schedule. Call the other agencies and set up a time to coordinate patrols over the next several weeks.”
“Of course, alpha,” Izuku said. He didn’t miss the way Enji smiled when he called him that. It was slight, just a small lift on the corners of his lips, but it was there nonetheless.
“Good boy,” he said. “Also, I’m going to increase your security detail.”
Izuku suppressed a sigh. It was a logical decision, and it would help Enji to have peace of mind when he was out patrolling. He nodded in agreement. As soon as he did, Enji walked out of the room to start organizing his sidekicks and other staff.

Chapter 8: The Lion's Wrath
Chapter Text
The search for Domino was excruciating, even more so than the last time Endeavor had been tasked to apprehend him. He and other hero agencies were combing the streets of Musutafu and the surrounding areas, searching for any place that was suitable for one of his hideouts. Warehouses, abandoned factories, and other such buildings would be ideal for most villains, but Domino preferred places that were more close-quartered. Such buildings were also common, but usually occupied by offices, schools, or hospitals.
Unfortunately, the search for Domino meant more late nights than not for Enji. He was often out past midnight. Izuku tried to do the same, but once he got to the 6th month of his pregnancy, his energy took a nosedive. Rei had been the same way. Izuku still worked hard, but he was asleep more often than not when Enji returned home.
The fact that Enji was missing his mate made this manhunt even worse. He never cared much for domesticity before, but now… it was different. It wasn’t even that he missed the sex, though that was a major part of it. He missed seeing his mate, even though they saw each other frequently at work. It was… the other things.
Damn, when did I start wanting to spend so much time at home? Enji wondered. He looked up into the night sky. It was impossible to see stars here in the city, but he could see the moon. It was a thin slice of light in the sky and in a way, it reminded him of Izuku.
Great, now I’m becoming a god damned sap. I need to punch something, Enji thought.
He growled and lowered his gaze to the area around him. A group of students helped combed the area, this year’s current members of class 1-A at UA. Their demeanors were… varied. Some were serious, others carefree. Some complained and others were disciplined. The biggest difference, though, was how they regarded him. Some kept their distance and others gravitated to him.
These first year students had barely gotten their provisional licenses. Many of them seemed cocky about what their powers would allow them to do. As Enji scanned the perimeter, he could account for all the students. That was good. He would never hear the end of it from Nezu if anything happened to the students, even if Domino was less infamous than other villains.
“Endeavor!” came a voice. Enji looked and saw a young woman with long, purple hair and striking golden eyes. Her name was Michi Endo, and her quirk was light manipulation, which she was highly skilled with. She was also this year’s class president.
“Report,” he replied.
“Sir, we’ve completed a survey of the surrounding area,” she said formally. “There are no accessible entrances to the sewers or other underground areas. Additionally, most buildings in the area have no extensive basements that match Domino’s MO.”
“You said most,” Enji said. He held himself back. He was well aware of this information, but it was important that the kids get the experience.
“Yes, sir, there are three buildings here which could serve as possible hideouts for the villain,” she said. “There’s an old office building, an abandoned fishing warehouse, and an old museum."
"Good work, Ms. Endo," he said. "Gather your classmates and return here. It's time to investigate further."
She saluted and ran off to obey. It was odd. Normally he found working with students to be tedious, yet this girl was just a few years younger than Izuku. He sent a text to Burnin and the other sidekicks who were on call in the city to meet him. Whether Domino was here or not, it never hurt to have more pro heroes on hand, especially to keep the students out of any potential danger.
15 minutes later, Michi returned to Enji's location. Three of Enji's sidekicks had also arrived: Burnin, Butane, and Dynamight. The fact that Bakugo was here and actually minding himself was a good sign. Lately he was able to focus himself during missions and the rate of incidents during his work had decreased significantly. If the boy could continue to mature, he would eventually become an admirable pro hero.
It took another 30 minutes before the rest of Enji's retinue arrived. When they did, Enji took his place before the group.
"The plan is fairly simple," he said. "We will divide into three teams to survey each of the locations Domino might be in. UA students will be divided evenly between these groups, with three pro heroes to assist each group. Pro heroes, your first priority is to protect the students. Should you find the hideout, you are to make contact immediately and wait for reinforcements. Students, your first priority is to learn. Your provisional licenses allow you to take part in our work, but you're still young. Do not put yourselves in unnecessary danger!"
"Sir!" everyone said with a salute. From there, the students divided into their predetermined groups while Enji divided up his sidekicks based on whose powers would best work with each group. Enji himself put Bakugo and Burnin on his team, both because Burnin was his top sidekick and they worked well together, and to assess Bakugo's progress.
He led his group to the building he felt was most likely to hold Domino. The museum. It was a dilapidated building that didn't house anything anymore, but it did have a mix of large rooms and long hallways. It would be the sort of place someone like Domino could use. Additionally, many museums had basements to store items being restored or assessed.
One of the students used their telekinetic quirk to unlock the door. Burnin took the rear guard as they entered the dark building. Inside was a large lobby. Ropes dangled from the ceiling and old pedestals stood empty. There was evidence of some nesting creatures, too, and several parts of the roof looked sunken in or had broken altogether.
"Creepy," one of the students said. "Who'd hide out in a dump like this?"
"Quiet," Enji said. "Move carefully."
The group spread out and moved slowly through the foyer. When they reached the stairs at the back of the room without having triggered a trap, Enji only grew more nervous. It was when Bakugo took his first step up the stairs that Enji heard a click. Instinct flew into action.
"Get down!" Enji shouted.
The students threw themselves to the floor. Bakugo launched himself into the air just as the step exploded into flames. Enji threw up a wall of flame to keep the explosion back. He barely noticed the heat. In a split second, it was gone, but the explosion had caused the stairs to catch fire. Going up was no longer an option. That, and the fire was quickly spreading along the dry wood and walls.
"Do any of you have water quirks?" Enji asked. One stood, a lean boy with short blue hair, and started to spray water at the base of the fire. Enji spotted movement and saw a thin figure dart down a hallway. "Burnin, keep the fire contained! Dynamight, with me."
"Hell yeah!" Bakugo said with a feral grin.
Enji launched himself into the air with his quirk, enough to get to a section of the second floor that wasn't on fire. There was no way of knowing what traps were down this hall, what Domino had built in his time here. There was no time to wait. If Domino was able to slow down and concentrate, he could actually use his quirk to inflict more damage.
Enji broke into a dead run through the hall, using his fire quirk to speed himself up. Some traps did go off, but he moved too quickly for them to take effect. Bakugo kept up with his own quirk. The hallway led to an atrium where several plants had once grown. As soon as he arrived, there was a shot and a bullet grazed Enji's left shoulder. He growled a curse and looked up to where the shot came from. Domino had a handgun, designed for close range, but still, he was usually a better shot.
Enji used his quirk to launch himself up onto the floor above him. He was close to Domino now, who leveled the gun at him.
"Stay back!" he shouted. "D-Don’t come any closer!"
"Surrender, Domino," Enji said. "Stand down and you can go in quietly."
"I can't!" Domino said. "He told me… he said I have to do this."
He? "Who told you? What are you doing?" Enji asked.
Before Domino could answer, Bakugo launched himself up right behind Domino, who turned to point his gun at him. Enji moved quickly and brought his gauntlet roughly onto Domino's head. The man dropped to the ground like a sack of rice.
"Good work, Bakugo," Enji said. "Call the police and tell him we've apprehended him."
"Sure, okay," Bakugo groaned. Enji held back a sigh. Well, at least the boy had learned a measure of restraint. Enji bent down to cuff Domino's wrists together before he began to walk the man back to the front of the building.
“Something wasn’t right about this case,” Enji said a few hours later. “It was too easy.”
The Musutafu police precinct they arrived at was the closest one to where Domino had ended up. It was a straight-forward procedure, but most of it involved an unending slog of paperwork. Enji, as the hero who oversaw the operation, had to give a report. Then he had to account for the students and verify that none of them were harmed. Then he had to make an account of the damage that occurred when the explosives went off.
It was all tedious, bureaucratic bullshit that had to be done, but never got any easier. That, and the current chief of police was a bit of a moron. He did things by the book, but he didn’t ask questions or follow up on indiscrepancies. He was sloppy, and if he worked for Enji, he would have been fired. Alas, he apparently knew some local government official, so here he was.
“Your sidekick triggered a bomb that set the museum on fire,” the chief said. “That’s what you consider easy?”
“Yes,” Enji said. “He had plenty of opportunity to use his quirk, but nothing aside from the bombs going off really did anything. Last time I brought Domino in, he almost brought the building down around us with the way his quirk worked.”
“That’s true, but at least he came in without much fuss this time,” the chief said. “What matters is that he’ll go back to prison to finish his sentence while we bring charges against him for destruction of property.”
Enji rolled his eyes and stormed out. This chief inspector had grown complacent. Enji blamed All Might. The man had made lots of people all too comfortable with easy cases. All he had to do was shout “I am here!” and he had the media eating out of his hands. Without another thought, he dismissed his sidekicks and the students before he launched himself into the air and headed for home. He didn’t even notice the lights of the city beneath him as he flew.
It took him about 20 minutes of flying, but eventually, he saw his home. He quietly lowered himself to the ground and took his boots off as he entered the house. All was quiet, just as it should be. Still, a strange and unfamiliar pang of worry lanced through his stomach as he walked through the house. He stopped by the nursery on his way up to his room. Each of the pups were sleeping quietly in a pile of blankets. Satisfied, he closed the door quietly and continued on his way.
As he approached his room, he saw a light on. It was a soft light rather than the large, overhead one. He walked in to find Izuku awake and sitting at the bed reading. Some omegas might read romance novels or other fiction books. Not Izuku. Izuku considered reading hero statistics to be relaxing. It made Enji wonder sometimes what kind of hero he would have been if he had developed a quirk.
Or if they would have crossed paths at all.
“You’re back,” Izuku said with a smile. The soft, sweet scent of relief spread through the room. It uprooted Enji from where he stood and he walked over to the bed. He crawled over and kissed his omega in greeting.
“Couldn’t sleep?” Enji asked. Izuku sighed and let his head fall back.
“I feel like a whale,” he said. “And your pups have been kicking my bladder.”
“My pups?” Enji asked with a small smile. “Not ours?”
“They’re yours when they kick me,” Izuku said with a pout.
“How was your day?” Enji asked.
“Exhausting,” Izuku said. “It’s hard to keep up with the pups and I think they only sort of understand what my condition is.”
“Maybe you should take some time off,” Enji said. Izuku scowled. “I caught Domino. You wanted to take a trip to the beach. It’s still warm enough to go.”
Izuku’s face immediately lit up like fireworks. It was gorgeous. He shifted carefully. His belly had swollen considerably in the past couple months. Izuku looked like he was further along than he was. Just like Rei, he was expecting multiple pups. Three this time. Izuku didn’t want to know what kind they were, so the nurse didn’t tell them.
“Do you want to bring the pups?” Enji asked. “Or do you want it to just be the two of us?”
Izuku thought for a moment. “Maybe we can bring the pups, but have them with a nanny so we can still have some time together,” he said. “I’m sure playing with the pups at the beach will be fun.”
“Okay, we’ll bring them,” Enji said. Then he frowned. “But if the press show up trying to get lewd pictures of you, we’re leaving.”
Izuku laughed. “Enji, you act like we’re going to a nude beach or something,” he said. “I’m sure we’ll be fine. Besides, anyone can look at me, but you’re the only one who can touch me.”
Enji had some doubts about the first part of that sentence. He was pretty sure that if he caught someone staring at Izuku, he’d do something drastic. Izuku was just too trusting and open. He had the kind of face, and ass, that would tempt any number of unsavory alphas or betas. What’s more, he seemed completely oblivious of how adorable he was. Enji had to protect him.
“Okay,” he said. “In the morning, we’ll start preparations. I’ll have someone at the office make the necessary arrangements.”
“Yeah,” Izuku said. He yawned and stretched. Enji shucked his clothes to the floor and crawled in next to his omega. Izuku laid his head against Enji’s shoulder, like always and Enji let himself breathe in the sweet, soothing scent of his pregnant mate.
Nakata wracked his brain as he languished in another jail cell. That damned loudmouth back in prison had said this mystery guy was easy to find in the underworld. All he had to do was escape. Yet here he was, captured by Endeavor yet again, and on his way back to prison.
This had been his only chance. The chance to actually become a real terror in the country, a crime lord instead of a third rate jewelry theif that everyone thought was just a sneaky telekinetic. His quirk had been changing for months. If he didn’t find a way to figure out what was going on, he’d be a nobody before long.
That’s who he was going to be. The prison doctor had said it was weakening, that there was no way to reverse the process. A weakening quirk was rare, but not unheard of as people aged. Some people simply lost the ability to have as much control over their quirks and some others lost the ability to use them altogether.
Nakata growled. He had to find a way out of here somehow, but as long as the guards kept a wide berth from him, there wasn’t much that he could do. There was hardly anyone at the office at this time of night. Not enough activity made it difficult for his quirk to take effect since it relied on action and reaction.
He heard the door creak open and suddenly, there was a large, tall man wearing an elaborate black mask over his face. The rest of his body was covered in a well-cut suit. The man moved with such confidence and strength that it made Nakata tremble just being in front of the guy.
“Hello Mr. Eiko,” the mystery man said. His voice might be considered charming, but never warm. It was as cold as the south pole in winter. “I understand that you’ve been looking for me.
Was this the man that loudmouth in prison told Nakata about all those months ago? The one who could give you a new quirk or take yours away?
“W-Who are you?” he demanded.
“I’m here to help you, of course,” the man said. He put his hands in his pockets. “It’s not right, someone as smart as you being forced to stay in this cell where your potential is wasted.”
“I’m listening,” Nakata said. “Are you the one who can give me a new quirk?”
“Well that depends,” the man said. Even though his face was hidden by a mask, Nakata had a distinct impression that he was smiling.
“On what?” Nakata asked.
“On what you want to become, of course,” the man said. “A third rate jewel thief hunting for riches? If so, then a new quirk is not required.”
“More,” Nakata said. “I’ve always wanted to be more. I deserve more.”
“Of course you do. We all do,” the man said. “This ridiculous society and its heroes are nothing more than a farce, keeping those with true power and ambition under the government’s thumb. I know what you want. You want freedom, just as I do.”
Nakata smiled. This was exactly what he wanted. “I’ll do whatever you want.”
“Excellent. I believe we shall get along swimmingly,” the man said. “Oh, where are my manners? You may call me… All For One.”
Enji was woken up by his phone ringing. He groaned as he rolled over. Normally he wasn’t asleep by this time, but he hadn’t gotten home until 3:00 in the morning, so he was still groggy when his phone rang. He checked the time and saw that it was only 6:30. He growled as he answered.
“Someone had better be dying,” he said.
“Sir, Domino was broken out of jail,” came someone on the other end of the line. “The bars to his cell were ripped clean off and the officers in charge of guarding him are dead.”
Enji slumped against the headboard of his bed and pinched the bridge of his nose. So much for an easy case. If they didn’t find him soon, he’d have to cancel the vacation plans he’d just talked about. Izuku would be so disappointed.
“How long ago did it happen?” he asked.
“An hour, from what we can tell,” the officer on the other end said. “Whoever did it is good. They came in, killed the guards, and left.”
“There’s no video footage?” Enji asked.
“Our cameras fail at 5:00,” the officer said. “After that, we have nothing, which means they evaded cameras.”
“Have all heroes who were on the case been notified?” Enji asked.
“Yes, sir, we are in the middle of contacting them now,” the officer said.
“Good,” Enji said. “I’ll be in later.”
With that, he hung up and went back to sleep. Or he tried to, anyway. Izuku rolled over onto Enji’s shoulder again and blinked up at him.
“He got away?” he asked.
“Apparently,” Enji sighed. “I…”
“Don’t say it,” Izuku said. “I understand. Just… promise me you’ll catch him for good.”
“I will,” Enji said. The words left his mouth with more conviction than anything he’d felt before.
“But first, you need to sleep,” Izuku said. He stroked Enji’s face gently. He was so small, even his fingers felt small against Enji’s cheek. Enji let himself relax against the feeling. The wheels in his mind that already started plotting how to get the villain back slowed. Eventually, he relaxed and placed a hand on his mate’s swelling stomach.
“How many?” he asked.
“Three, I think,” Izuku said. “They feel like your pups sometimes.”
“When is that?” Enji asked.
“When they’re kicking, mostly,” Izuku said. “Like they’re getting ready to fight before they’re even born.”
Enji smiled. “Are you saying they’ll be troublemakers?” he asked.
“They might be,” Izuku said. He stilled. “What if… what if they’re like me?”
“Better that they’re like you instead of me,” Enji said.
“No, I mean… what if they don’t have quirks?”
Enji rolled over to look at his mate. He was such a small, delicate man, like a porcelain doll prone to fractures at the slightest touch. And yet, here he was mated to a man like Enji, someone so prone to breaking things. Despite the fact that Izuku didn’t have a quirk, Enji believed that his mate was probably one of the most capable people he’d ever met. If Izuku had a quirk, he would no doubt quickly become one of the top heroes in the country.
“I won’t lie,” he said. “You know why I married my late wife. I am ashamed for those reasons now, but that does not change the decision. There are some who believe that those pups who are born from true mates have stronger quirks than average.”
“There’s no guarantee, though,” Izuku said.
“No, there isn’t,” Enji agreed. “But whether they have magnificent quirks, weak quirks, or none at all, it doesn’t matter.”
“It doesn’t?” Izuku asked.
“No,” Enji said. “All I care about is that they, and you, are happy and safe.”
Izuku tucked himself under Enji’s chin and Enji wrapped his arms around his mate’s smaller form. No matter what came of this debacle, or what villain raised their ugly head, Enji would ensure that his mate was safe. He would do anything.
Later that morning, Enji decided that the universe was laughing at him. He resisted the urge to pinch the bridge of his nose as he saw who was waiting for him at the police precinct. He had thought that he would do anything to protect his mate and that was true… but this was pushing it.
“HAVE NO WORRIES, OFFICERS, FOR I AM HERE!!” All Might declared.
Why him? Enji groaned internally. He was torn. On the one hand, Izuku would be upset that he hadn’t gotten to meet his idol due to Enji’s strict instruction to stay home. On the other hand, Enji suspected he would get violently jealous if Izuku were here. Either way, today would be a trial in patience.
“All Might,” Enji said. He walked over and the crowd of fawning officers parted like that ocean in Abrahamic mythology. Enji couldn’t remember which religion it was, he never cared about such things. “What are you doing here? I have things well in hand regarding Domino.”
“AH, ENDEAVOR, ALWAYS A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH YOU,” Toshinori said. His booming voice combined with his alpha scent set Enji on edge. “I THOUGHT THAT SINCE YOUR VILLAIN MANAGED TO ESCAPE THAT YOU MIGHT WANT SOME HELP TO TRACK HIM DOWN.”
“We’re already working on that,” Enji said. “I came to assess the status of the investigation.”
“Sir!” said one of the cops, the lieutenant, from the looks of it. “It seems that all of our cameras were simultaneously sabotaged right before Domino was busted out. We were able to lift a fingerprint from the bars, but it doesn’t match anything in the system.”
“So someone who doesn’t care about getting caught busted Domino out,” Enji said. “Why?”
“We can’t know until we identify the culprit,” the lieutenant said.
“Obviously,” Enji replied.
“WE CAN’T FIGURE ANYTHING OUT BY STANDING HERE ASKING QUESTIONS!” All Might said. “I’M SURE YOU AGREE, ENDEAVOR. WE SHOULD POOL OUR RESOURCES TO FIND THIS VILLAIN BEFORE HE CAN COMMIT MORE CRIMES.”
“I don’t think your help is required for this task,” Enji said. He barely kept the growl out of his voice.
“YOUR QUICK REJECTION IS NOT UNEXPECTED!” Toshinori replied without a hint of offense. “HOWEVER, YOU SHOULD LISTEN TO WHAT INTELLIGENCE I HAVE BEFORE YOU MAKE IT FINAL!”
Enji sighed. He didn’t need this, but All Might, for all his bluster and showiness, was the number 1 hero for a reason. From a purely strategic point of view, if he wanted to collaborate with Enji on something as trivial as an escaped villain, Enji could certainly let him.
“I’ll hear what you have to say,” Enji said as he crossed his arms. “But I won’t promise anything.”
“SPLENDID!” Toshinori said. He walked over to the other side of the room towards the stairwell.
“Where are you going?” Enji asked.
“We can’t speak here,” All Might said quietly. Apparently the man didn’t yell all the time. Enji wasn’t sure whether to be impressed or not. “Too many ears.”
Enji sighed again and followed the other hero into the stairwell, then up to the roof of the precinct building. The roof was absent of people, just as he’d wanted. Still, All Might walked to the middle of the roof, just out of sight of the pedestrians walking and driving past.
“Is this private enough for you?” Enji asked.
“It will do for now,” Toshinori replied. He kept his voice quiet now that he wasn’t in front of an audience.
“So what’s this intelligence of yours that you can’t share with the police?” Enji asked.
“The truth is, I’m not after this Domino person at all,” Toshinori said. “At least, I wasn’t after him at first. I was after someone else, and the trail I was following happened to intersect with yours when he broke your villain out of jail last night.”
“So you know who did this, even though the police have no idea who’s behind it,” Enji said. He crossed his arms. “Well? Who is it?”
“I can’t tell you,” Toshinori said.
“Why not?” Enji asked. He couldn’t keep the growl from his voice this time.
“Telling you would put your life in danger,” Toshinori said.
“I’m not some high school student with a probationary license, All Might,” Enji said. “I’m the number 2 hero in the country.”
“And there’s no reason for you to get involved,” Toshinori said.
“This villain you’re so afraid of, he’s already involved himself in my case,” Enji said. “I’m not in the habit of leaving loose ends. If you were serious about working together, then that means you have to tell me everything you know about this person.”
“This villain is unlike anything you’ve ever faced, Todoroki,” Toshinori replied. “I can’t tell you anything about him.”
Enji looked up to the sky and sighed in frustration. First the man wanted to pool resources, then told him not to get involved. What did he want, exactly?
“Fine, so this is about wanting my help, or that of my agency,” Enji said. “But you won’t get anything unless you let my agency be fully involved in the investigation. That means you tell me who broke the villain my agency captured out of jail.”
Toshinori growled with frustration. Enji stood his ground though. He wasn’t an alpha to let anyone push him around, even those stronger than him.
“The students,” Toshinori said. “Send them away, and you have a deal.”
“They‘ve been permitted to shadow my heroes for the time being,” Enji said. “You want me to just send them to other agencies?”
“Yes, whatever you have to do,” Toshinori said. “You’re a pro hero, but they’re still learning. The villain I’m after is too dangerous for them.”
Enji nodded. He could accept that. There had been times in the past where he had made similar assessments. As much as the students needed real hero work experience, placing them in danger needlessly was never acceptable for a host of reasons, not least of which was getting a lecture from that rodent.
“I’ll go back to the agency and have all the students transferred to other hero agencies for the rest of their internships,” Enji said. “Meet me there later so we can discuss who this villain is and the best strategy to take him down.”
Enji turned to go. He was about to launch himself into the sky when Toshinori stopped him. The man grabbed his shoulder and turned Enji back around to face him.
“You’ve changed, Todoroki,” Toshinori said. “A year ago, you would’ve told me to fuck off without a second thought. You would never have agreed to work with me in a million years.”
Enji pulled his shoulder free and turned his back on Toshinori. Try as he might, he couldn’t deny the claim. He had changed. Only time would tell whether it was for the better or not.
“Bring a pen,” Enji said.
“What?” Toshinori asked.
“My mate is a fan,” Enji growled. “He’ll want your autograph. If he doesn’t get it, I’ll never hear the end of it. And there’s nothing worse than the smell of a sad, pregnant omega.”
As Enji launched himself into the sky at long last, he heard the loud, booming sound of All Might laughing. Enji groaned as he turned to aim himself towards his agency. Something told him that however this worked out, he would never hear the end of it either way.

Chapter Text
Izuku stared up in wonder at the man, the myth, the legend! All Might! He was even bigger in person than he seemed on tv! His heroic pose, his dashing looks, his amazing physique, it was all simply incredible. Izuku could feel himself tearing up as he watched his idol sign the notebook he’d used for years to analyze pro hero skills and statistics.
“HERE YOU ARE, YOUNG TODOROKI, ALWAYS A PLEASURE MEETING MY FANS!” All Might said as he handed the journal back to Izuku. Izuku gasped as he saw the signature, complete with a star and a little star type shape that was clearly his signature hairstyle. It took up two entire blank pages and it was immediately the best thing in Izuku’s notebook.
“Thanks so much, All Might!” he cried.
He fought to keep the tears at bay because it was far too easy for him to cry these days. Whatever Enji said, it was not because of his pregnancy hormones. It wasn’t! It was just that there were such amazing things happening in his life that he couldn’t keep his emotions inside. This was the cherry on top of the gigantic strawberry cheesecake ice cream sundae that his life had become.
“What… what brought you here today, sir?” Izuku asked. “You weren’t on Enji’s schedule.”
“AH, I HAVE BUSINESS WITH YOUR MATE THAT WE MUST DISCUSS PRIVATELY,” All Might said.
“Does this have to do with Domino’s escape?” Izuku asked. “Enji told me that there was someone who helped him get away.”
All Might turned to Enji, who was sitting at his desk with his arms crossed. In one hand, he held a cigar that was lit and smoking. He didn’t have them often, usually only when he was stressed or he’d had a bad day. Izuku walked over to his alpha and set his notebook down on the desk before he touched Enji’s wrist. Enji opened his posture up so Izuku could climb into his lap. As soon as he was situated, the pups started kicking in earnest.
“Sorry, alpha,” he whispered.
“Don’t worry about it,” Enji whispered back. He took a drag from his cigar and blew the smoke out. Izuku would be lying if he said he disliked it. Enji always seemed so strong, but there was something about the few times when he smoked that made him seem… more like an alpha, if that made sense.
“You told him?” All Might asked. His voice was less loud and pronounced than it was before. Almost as though All Might had used a persona of his hero self before, but now that he was speaking with Enji, he spoke more honestly.
“He was able to guess as much,” Enji said. He took another drag from his cigar. “I chose not to contradict him.”
“Well, it just makes sense,” Izuku said. He could feel himself blushing. It was one thing to tell Enji about his suspicions, but this was All Might! His personal hero and the number 1 pro hero in Japan. “Domino is at his strongest when there’s lots of action, which is why he makes so many traps. That way, he’s able to influence cause and effect in a way that’s most advantageous for him. The fact that he escaped from a nearly empty police station means that he must have had an accomplice.”
He felt Enji rumble with approval beneath him and Izuku turned to scent his alpha. It was insane how much he did this these days. It was probably some biological instinct, to make sure other omegas knew that this alpha was taken by a pregnant omega or to help calm him down or something. All Izuku knew was that having this kind of reaction to everything was inconvenient.
“Well, your omega is certainly a sharp one,” All Might said.
“He is, he puts my best analysts to shame sometimes,” Enji said. Izuku purred with appreciation at the pride in Enji’s voice.
“What’s his quirk?” Toshinori asked.
“He doesn’t have one,” Enji replied. “And this isn’t what we’re here to discuss.”
“I assumed that you wouldn’t want your omega present for that conversation,” All Might said.
“His insight may be helpful for whatever your intelligence provides,” Enji said. “Do you have anyone else that you want to have present for this?”
“My sidekick, Nighteye, and Gran Torino,” All Might said. Izuku blinked. All Might usually worked alone, but his sidekick had made a name for himself as the one and only sidekick for All Might. Still, All Might generally didn’t work with other heroes. “They’re just outside.”
“Have them come in and we can all talk,” Enji said as he flicked the ash off the end of his cigar into a tray.
A moment later, all 5 of them were in the room. All Might remained standing, which made sense. He looked like he could break any chair he sat in. Thankfully, Gran Torino and Nighteye were much more reasonably proportioned people.
“The villain who set Domino free is named All For One,” All Might said.
“I’ve never heard of him,” Enji said.
“With good reason,” Gran Torino said. “He’s been secretly running the criminal underground for decades. He rarely makes himself known, but odds are that any serious villain we've seen in the past has been linked to him in some way.”
“How long are we talking, exactly?” Enji asked.
“More than 150 years,” Gran Torino said.
“Impossible,” Enji said. “No one lives that long, even with quirks.”
“All For One has a unique and dangerous quirk,” All Might said. “He has the ability to take quirks from others and transfer them to another, if he so chooses. He rarely does. Instead, he claims them for himself.”
Izuku felt ice form in the pit of his stomach. A villain like that could have obtained hundreds of quirks over 150 years with a quirk like that! Such a person would be nearly unstoppable without great risk involved.
"Why hasn't anyone tried to stop him before now?" Enji asked. "And what does he want with Domino?"
"His quirk," Izuku said. Everyone looked at him. He tried not to blush from their attention, especially All Might's. "Domino is virtually useless to someone like this, but his quirk would be especially useful in a fight if numerous people did get involved or if many quirks were being used at once."
"We suspect the same," All Might said grimly. Gone was his usual gregarious self. In his place was someone who bore the full weight and responsibility of the number 1 hero. "Unfortunately, with Domino in play, we don't have the manpower to take down All For One."
"So you want me to help," Enji said. "You want my agency, one of the largest and strongest in the country, to assist you in taking this All For One down."
"Yes," Gran Torino said. "I know that you've had some difficulty getting along in the past, but--"
"I refuse," Enji said. He took another drag through his cigar and it burst into flame before it abruptly died. He blew out such a cloud of smoke that he looked like a locomotive. "Get out, all of you."
"Endeavor, please‐‐" Nighteye said. Enji glared at All Might's sidekick and the young man fell silent.
"I said. Get. Out," Enji growled. Izuku turned around and looked at him. He could feel his alpha's flames growing hotter, even as he kept them from burning while Izuku was in his lap. He turned back around as All Might and the others bowed before they turned around.
"Wait!" Izuku shouted. "Don't go."
"What?!" Enji snapped.
"We have to help them!" Izuku said. "What kind of danger could this All For One pose if he goes unchecked?"
"So I should risk everyone in the agency?" Enji demanded.
"Your sidekicks are the most skilled and experienced at fighting villains in the country," Izuku said. "What other agency should they go to?"
"There are plenty of other agencies in Japan!" Enji growled. "Hell, go to America! China! Russia! Someone like this should warrant a full scale effort from multiple sides, not just a single agency and the world's number 1 walking billboard for steroids!"
Nighteye snickered, which turned into a cough when All Might looked at him. Their eyes were glancing back and forth between Enji and Izuku like they were at a tennis match and not a business office. Izuku tried to ignore them and focus on his argument.
"That kind of reaction would only cause him to disappear further underground!" Izuku said. "You know that! A small group making a concerted effort is more likely to be effective against someone like this."
"Then rally the other members of the top 10!" Enji snapped. "There are plenty of heroes qualified to help take this bastard down!"
"But none of them are as strong as you! As determined or as tenacious as you!" Izuku cried. "Why won't you help them?! What are you afraid of?!"
Izuku snapped his mouth shut as soon as the question was out. He wished he could take it back. Enji looked at him with a strange kind of emotion in his eyes that Izuku couldn't identify. He could feel Enji vibrating beneath him, like a kettle about to blow its top off.
"Get out," he said.
This time, All Might and the others were quick to leave. Izuku didn't stop them, but when he tried to leave, Enji gripped his wrist with a surprisingly firm but gentle pressure. Izuku stared at his mate, his true mate. His jaw was set and his eyes shone as they regarded Izuku. Izuku bowed his head in submission.
"I'm sorry, alpha," he said. Enji was silent for a long moment.
"How could you ask me that?" Enji demanded in a soft voice.
"What?" Izuku asked. He looked up in surprise. He had expected to be chastised, but not like this.
"How could you ask me what I'm afraid of?" Enji said. "Don't you know?"
Izuku thought. He really hadn't considered that Enji might genuinely be afraid of something. Endeavor was the picture of tenacity and fearless determination. But there was also something soft there, a glimmer of fear and uncertainty behind the image of pure alpha strength that Enji showed the world.
"You," Enji said. "The world knows about you. If I go against this man, he'll know that the easiest way to take me down is to get to you."
Izuku swallowed. He turned in Enji's lap to face him fully as his alpha said these words. Enji wrapped his arms around Izuku protectively, but also gently so as not to press against Izuku’s pregnant belly. Izuku bowed his head again and purred softly. The sound made Enji rumble in response.
"I cannot lose you, Izuku," Enji whispered against his hair. "And if anything happens to you, I will never forgive myself."
Izuku sighed as he breathed in his alpha’s scent. He could smell the rich scent of the Cuban cigar he'd smoked, or rather, incinerated and then inhaled. It was faint, but still there. Enji's scent made his heartbeat slow to a calm, steady rhythm.
"Which is why you have to help them," Izuku said. Enji stopped rumbling when he said that.
"Explain."
"If this villain isn't defeated once and for all, who knows what kind of damage he could end up doing?" Izuku said. "He could be planning something huge and we would be vulnerable because we have no intelligence on who he is beyond All Might and his history with him."
"A history that's only corroborated by All Might and those close to him," Enji countered. "If such a villain exists, why has no one else ever heard of him? Why does he keep to the shadows?"
"It's probably easier for him to operate that way," Izuku said. "Being hidden but well known in the underworld means that he's able to keep out of the public eye while he accomplishes his goals."
"Assuming he exists at all," Enji said. Izuku frowned at his alpha.
"If you want to know who this villain is, why don't you just ask All Might?" Izuku demanded. "Do you really think he'd lie about something like this just to get a rise out of you?"
"Of course not!" Enji growled.
"Then why won't you go? Are you afraid?!" Izuku demanded.
"Yes!" Enji snapped.
The tension in the room melted away as the confession hung in the air between them. Enji trembled and Izuku placed his hands on his alpha’s face. Enji wrapped his arms around Izuku and held him tightly but gently. Despite what they learned about All For One, Izuku couldn't help but feel safe when Enji held him.
"I'm terrified," Enji whispered. He pressed his forehead against Izuku's. "I cannot lose you. My omega, my mate. Before you, I would have gloated at Toshinori for coming to me to ask for help and brasher agreed to do it. But… you are my weakness, my little bunny. If I lost you, I don't know how I would go on."
Izuku wrapped his arms around Enji's neck and purred. Enji drew his arms protectively around Izuku, gently cradling both him and their pups. The purring continued and Enji's trembling eased bit by bit. His large, strong hands stroked Izuku's back.
"How are you so brave?" Enji asked. "You don't have a quirk, yet you're not afraid of this man who has apparently taken so many that he's become a one man army not even All Might can defeat alone."
Izuku smiled and laid his hand on Enji's chest. He could feel that powerful heart within Enji beat in a steady rhythm. His own heart seemed to match it, though he was so much less powerful than he.
"Because I have you," Izuku said. "I know you'll keep me safe, alpha. No one could keep me safer. And no matter how strong this villain is, he can't beat All Might with you there. He won't stand a chance."
Enji stared at him for a while with a scrutinizing look on his face. Then it turned slowly into a grin. He kissed Izuku before he stood and sat Izuku on his desk.
"Well, I can't disappoint my omega," he said with confidence. "But just know, I'm going to triple your security detail. One of my sidekicks will be with you at all times to protect you."
Izuku simply nodded. Before, when the threat of villains attacking was more abstract, he'd chafed under the increased security. With an enemy like this, though, he understood with perfect clarity and agreed. He was the weak link, and that meant he had to be protected.
"Okay, but I need something from you, as well," Izuku said.
"Name it," Enji said.
"I want you home each night," Izuku said. "But if you can't be home, I need to know you're all right."
Enji nodded. "I'll keep my phone on me at all times," he said. "And if I can't, I'll have an employee let you know how I'm doing."
Izuku nodded, fully satisfied with that answer. He tried to get down from the desk but found that his belly got in the way. That added to the fact that Enji was a big man, and Izuku was slightly worried that he'd fall over if he tried to get down on his own. It was ridiculous, but that was the price of having Enji's pups. He looked up at his alpha with a slight pout. Enji grinned again.
"I think I love you being pregnant," Enji said as he scooped Izuku up and put him gently on the floor. "You're so cute when you need my help."
Izuku swatted him playfully, though he had to admit that this aspect of the pregnancy wasn't so bad. The hard part would come soon, though. Neither of them knew how many pups he was carrying because they wanted to be surprised, but that also meant he had no idea what to plan for. His instinct told him to plan for three, for some reason, though he hadn't shared this with Enji.
"Well, I suppose I should let Toshinori know that I'll help him," Enji sighed. "I suppose you must be pleased to have your alpha and your childhood hero on the same team."
Izuku grinned. "Well, it certainly satisfies some childhood fantasies of mine," he said.
"I'm not having a threesome with him, in case there are any other fantasies in that little head of yours," Enji said. He was frowning, but the tips of his mouth threatened to turn up into a smile. Izuku giggled.
"Don't worry, your knot is all I want anyway," Izuku said.
"Damn straight."
