Chapter Text
Philza and Kristin reached the edge of the forest where they spotted three tall figures standing in the moonlight’s shine. The longer they looked, they quickly realised it was Wilbur, Tommy and Technoblade waiting for Philza’s return. Both Tommy and Wilbur started sprinting towards Philza and tackled him with a big hug while Kristin watched as she stood behind Philza. Technoblade slowly approached Philza while he got up and dusted himself off from his boys tackling him with excitement.
‘You were cutting it a little close there Phil. Today was day 7, we’ve been waiting here every day for you.’ Technoblade said as he strolled up to philza with his hands in his pockets and cape flowing behind him. Philza looked over to Kristin in confusion.
‘Time flows slower in the glade my dear’ Kristin confirmed to clear up his confusion.
‘Ahh. Well, I made it back in a week as I said, didn't I?’ Philza chuckled. ‘Wilbur.. Tommy.. Technoblade.. Let me introduce you to.. Kristin’ Philza announced as he stepped aside to allow them to see Kristin properly.
‘Woah’ both Wilbur and Tommy gasped in awe.
‘She’s the lady you’ve told me about for the past 20 years?’ Technoblade asked in surprise.
‘Yes she is. All those years ago I found her in a glade and stayed with her for a year in the glade when she had you two boys.’ Philza directed at Wilbur and Tommy.
‘So you’re our mum AND the willow maid from that fairytale story?!’ Tommy asked, surprised.
Kristin smiled as she nodded, ‘Yes I am. However, we think we managed to break the curse I was under, so now I have come to live here.’
Tommy looked at her with tears in his eyes. His smile was the widest Philza had ever seen. It was stretching from one side of his face to the other. He was so happy and overjoyed. He finally had a mother. The mother his father had told him so much about. The mother he had always dreamed of meeting. He could finally do all the mother and son activities the other kids got to do with their mothers. He was so happy he ran up to her and smothered her with a big bear hug.
‘I’ve heard so much about you all. You all sound like you’ve matured well and are magnificent princes.’ Kristin commented as she held Tommy in her arms while he carried on hugging her and played with his hair in a motherly way, sorting out the few strands of hair that stuck up from the rest of his perfectly combed hair.
‘I’m so glad I finally got to meet you mother.’ Tommy sighed happily. ‘Me too Tommy’ Kristin agreed smiling.
All of a sudden, Kristin suddenly felt a sharp pain shoot through her body. She looked up and realised that while she had been hugging Tommy she had moved outside the border of the forest. Her legs gave away under her and Tommy guided her to the floor, not letting go of her.
‘My love! I don’t think you broke the curse,' Kristin called out to Philza.
‘No, no, no no no. I cut down the willow tree. The curse should’ve broken.’ Philza spoke, his voice wavering as he held back tears.
‘I love you Philza. I love you Tommy. I love you all.’ Kristin managed to whisper out before she slipped out of Tommy’s arms, and faded into a beautiful strelitzia flower.
The night sky was clear as glass. With stars that shone like diamonds glittering the open sky. The moon lit up where everyone was gathered. The moonlight slowly moved over and landed on the strelitzia that had bloomed where Kristin had previously stood. The brightly coloured yellow petals were lit up by the shining moonlight which made her flower as beautiful and as bright as the sun.
Philza fell to his knees next to Tommy as her enchanted victims came wandering out of the forest. Philza’s face showed a look of despair and disbelief as he couldn’t stop staring at the flower which stood tall where the love of his life had been mere moments before.
