Chapter Text

Rose Ember Barnes - daughter of Bucky and Nat. 4-5 years old. Nat and Buck are broken up and Steve is dating Nat now. Rose loves to annoy her father by stealing his hair brush, constantly attaching herself to his leg, sticking magnets to his arm, etc. Steve and Nat find it amusing. Rose looks like a mini Nat but w/ brown hair and blue eyes. Loves snuggle time and when Bucky reads/sings to her. Wears a black sparkly tutu, leather vests that are bulletproof, light up sketchers, leggings, pigtails w/ ribbon bands, hair ties as bracelets, and a half-heart bracelet. Bucky has the other half. When her daddy isn’t around, she’ll cook with Steve, but never when Bucky is there. Loves Uncle Sam and Clint. Uncle Clint will buy her favorite snack (Scooby snacks) while Uncle Sam sneaks candy bars and chocolates into her backpack. Rose’s first word was “damnit”. Loves dancing. Steve likes to comment on how Rose is a “Mini Bucky but with Nat’s face”. Favorite movie is “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” because of all the fire and violence and b/c Esmeralda is very pretty and awesome. “Emmy” = nickname. Born Dec. 13th.

Bucky lives in an apartment building so he doesn’t h/v to see Nat and Steve be together. He loves them both, but sometimes can’t stand it. He always makes sure to hang out with his baby girl and every Saturday she is with him during the warm months they go out for ice cream. At home, he makes them one big bowl of sundae and lets her pour the sprinkles. Always makes sure Rose is asleep before he falls asleep. Bucky is afraid to scare Rose one night with his nightmares and that’s why he agreed to Nat having her most days. During the holidays, they’ve agreed to all being together or going away, just the four of them. Bucky will buy pretty magnets for Rose to stick on his arm so she is amused while he does work or something. He thinks about buying a dog for Rose to play with, but also doesn’t want to see the sadness on the dog’s face when she leaves. That and he is afraid that it will bite her.

Steve and Nat live in the avengers mansion. They knew why Bucky didn’t want to be near them and completely understood. They still wished he lived with them. Rose isn’t quite as happy with them as she is with Bucky. Steve loves cooking and baking with Rose and is upset when she denies ever doing it when asked about it. Nat loves dancing with her beautiful girl and is trying to get her to dance with Steve. She won’t. Steve notices that whenever Rose is at the mansion, she will never cuddle with him. She will cuddle with everyone else. He thought it was just the guys she will never cuddle with, because she doesn’t want to “betray” Bucky, but then he sees her cuddle Sam and Clint and Scott from time to time and definitely knows it’s just him. Nat won’t tell him, but when Steve falls asleep on the couch Rose will grab a book and use him as a pillow and just before he wakes up she zips out of the room. Nat is waiting for Steve to wake up to it on his own.

Lillibelle Trevous - Black woman. 6’0. 6’5 in heels. Doesn’t like Steve. Personal trainer, tutor for math and history, and sells cookies in her neighborhood. Makes the best peppermint cookies. They’re gingerbread with peppermint and macadamia nut. Long hair in braids w/ beads. Infertile. Loves snuggling. Rides a motorcycle and added a sidecar for Rose to ride in. And had a helmet bedazzled with a rose on fire for Rose as well. Her mother loves Rose. She will watch movies w/ Rose only if she finishes her homework first. Is the reason Bucky has moved on from Nat. Meets the two at the gym where the go and asked them to join her for dinner. Nat is uneasy about her. Steve just doesn’t trust her at all. Rose loves her. Calls Rose “Emmy”. Does try to be friends w/ Nat.  Rose calls her “LilliBean”. 40 yrs old. Birthday: July 18th

Chapter 2: Chapter 1

Chapter Text

~ Sunday afternoon… May 21st, 2023

Bucky holds his daughter’s hand as she skips next to him. They were on their way back to Bucky’s apartment to pack up to go back to mommy’s. Bucky hated seeing his daughter leave but he didn’t want to scare her when he had nightmares. He could live at the mansion with all his friends and family, but he didn’t want to see Nat and Steve together. He felt selfish for wanting them apart, but he wasn’t going to deny it. As long as he had Rose, he truly didn’t care right now. Rose pulls on her dad’s hand just outside the building, “Do I have to go back to mommy’s?”

Bucky chuckles as he opens the door to the building, “Yes. It’s part of the rules.”

Rose groans as she rolls her eyes and stomps her feet, “Uggghhh whyyyyyyyyyy!? I don’t want to go back! Steve takes up cuddle time that I could be using with mommy and Harley eats all my scooby snacks! Also Hulkie doesn’t know how to play dolls!”

Bucky just laughs as he now drags his daughter by the foot to the elevator and to their apartment. Of course saying ‘hi’ to their neighbor, Ms. Barkus, on the way there. Ms. Barkus is a nice neighbor because she is an old lady of 67, who loved making Rose cookies and brownies, and kept trying to set up Bucky with her daughter. She meant well, so Bucky didn’t complain.

Bucky picks up his daughter up and dropped her on the couch, grabbing her bag from her room. Rose’s room had a day bed up against the wall, walls painted with the city of Notre Dame and the church with Quasi sitting on the top, she had nine-cubicle shelves filled with toys from the avengers and books she picked out from the thrift store, and had a small dollhouse he had built her when she was two. Her dresser was covered in flower stickers and sat next to the other side of the door. Which was covered in Disney princess stickers. Oh how Bucky loved to say that his daughter was spoiled. Because she was.

As Bucky finished packing Rose’s bag, he reentered the room to find his daughter hanging off the back of the couch, “You are the most stubbornest person I’ve met. Besides Steve of course.”

Rose giggles to herself as she rolls off the couch. She stays on the floor, only lifting her leg up for her dad to take. Bucky sighs rolling his eyes before lifting Rose off the ground by her leg. She hangs in the air, laughing and flailing hair arms, “Daddy! Put me down!”

“I will, if you promise to walk,” Bucky cocks a brow.

Rose crosses her arms and furrows her brows, starting a staring contest with her father. After a few moments, “Fine,” Rose huffed. Bucky places his baby back on the ground, leaving his hand out for her to take. “I will see you next weekend? Right?”

“You always do, baby girl. Why are you so worried about leaving me all of a sudden? You were fine just last week,” Bucky locks the door.

Rose doesn’t answer. She just swings her hand that is holding Bucky’s own. The two walk on, into the elevator, out the main entrance, and down the sidewalks they always take to go to the drop off zone. Rose hated that her parents weren’t together and did at times want them back together, but she was more concerned with the fact that mommy was dating daddy’s best friend, Steve. Rose liked Steve, but because he was dating mommy, she hated him. And the two seemed to be getting along too well nowadays. So close, that last drop off before daddy came, Steve asked Rose if she would mind if Steve became her step-dad. Rose responded with a kick to his shin and a run into daddy’s arms. Thank god daddy didn’t hear it. That’s why Rose doesn’t want to go back. She’ll have to witness more of Steve messing with her family and maybe be officially part of it.

Rose and Bucky sat on the bench in the park, waiting for Natasha and Steve to get there. Rose swings her feet as she takes her dad’s metal arm and pulls out her bag of magnets that Bucky had gotten her for her fifth birthday. As she sticks them on, one by one, to create a picture, Rose can sense Bucky watching her. He always does. Watching tiny fingers be so gentle. It was relaxing to him and it made Rose feel safe. Knowing her dad is always keeping an eye on her.

~ Sunday night… May 21st, 2023

Rose plops herself onto her bed, that at the mansion, groaning into her bed. She doesn’t want to be here. But she does get to see her friends and mess with her uncles and gets all the sneaky treats. BUT BECAUSE OF STEVE MESSIN’ WITH HER FAMILY, SHE HATES THE AVENGERS MANSION NOW! THANKS STEVEN!!

Rose she lays there, face stuffed into her pillow and bored out of her mind because she doesn’t want to get up. Something pokes her side and Rose swats whoever away. “Come on, Rosie, you gotta hang out with us,” It’s just Uncle Clint. “You can’t hide in here forever.”

“But if I leave this room, I’m going to see mommy be with Steve and I don’t wike him,” Rose mumbles into her pillows.

Clint suppressed a laugh, sitting on the edge of the bed, “Come on. He’s not that bad.”

Rose sits up her elbows, looking to Clint, “I know that. But he’s with mommy. So he is bad.”

Clint purses his lips, silently agreeing with the tiny child. He looks at the child, before picking her up by her sides and placing her over his shoulder. Rose just deals with it. She is not strong enough to fight and she knows Clint will drop her on top of his own son, Dean. Who will boop her nose and then push her off onto the floor. Rose liked Dean. He looked just like Uncle Clint, but with glasses and scrawnier.

Clint walks into the main room where the kitchen and a sitting room was. He drops the small, assassin baby onto his son, who was laying on the couch, right onto his stomach. Dean looked at the small child straight into her eyes before booping her nose and nudging her off him. Rose giggles before being picked up again, “Hi kiddo!” Steven.

Rose’s face went cold and glared at the man, “Put. Me. Down.”

Steve places her back on the ground, backing away from the glaring child. Dean and Clint snort into their hands at the scene. Steve goes behind the counter where Nat stood with Sam as they make dinner. Rose climbs back onto Dean, snuggling into his flannel as he wraps an arm around her. Steve drops his head on Nat’s shoulder, “Ow.”

“She hates me,” Steve grumbles.

Nat snickers as she continues her chopping of celery for all the youngins. Sam takes out silverware and plates for everyone, chuckling at the grown man, “She doesn’t hate you, man. She just doesn’t like the fact that you are with Nat. Right, red?”

Nat nodds, “He is correct, Steve. Rosie does like you, she just doesn’t like you being her “father” over here. She probably thinks I’m replacing Bucky with you and we all know how much she loves him. So chill, she doesn’t hate you. Besides, once she realizes that I’m not replacing her daddy, she will no longer give you death glares.” Nat nudges Steve off her shoulder, pecking him on the cheek.

Nat moves around the counter setting up the kids’ plates as Wanda comes in to help. Sam pats Steve on the shoulder before helping out the two ladies set out dinner. Steve looks back over at the kids on the couch, now seeing another little one: Morgan. Steve watches as Dean picks up the two girls, slinging Morgan onto his back, and holding Rose on his side, then taking them to the dining room to eat. Morgan’s twin would already be there. Rose whips her head back towards Steve, squinting her eyes at him. Steve flinches, staying in his place.

Chapter 3: Chapter 2

Chapter Text

~ Thursday afternoon…. May 25th, 2023

Steve drops himself against the couch’s armrest, too tired and in pain to go to his room to change and rest in a comfy bed. He just came back from a mission that he didn’t plan on going on, but did anyway and now just wanted to sleep. He places one arm on the back of the couch and rests his head on the other. He falls into a deep sleep, not knowing the lurking creature that watched him.

Rose stood right behind the corner of the hallway, watching the “old” man fall asleep, a small chapter book in hand. She waited several minutes until she absolutely knew that Steve was asleep before she moved into the room. Her feet moved lightly, tip toeing, towards the sleeping man. She took a pillow from another seat and placed it against Steve’s open side, not wanting to get grime and blood on herself. She carefully got onto the couch, careful not to wake the man, resting up against the pillow. She looks at Steve one more time before opening her book and starting her reading. She was currently reading the second book of the series, The Land of Stories by Chris Colfer. She liked all the magic that came with it. Rose was five after all.

Rose did this a lot; read up against Steve while he was asleep. He made a good pillow and she liked the sound of him breathing very calming. She’s five, leave her alone.

Rose felt Steve move and immediately turned her head up to look up at him. He was waking up. Rose closes her book and zips out of the room, forgetting the pillow that lay against the old man. Steve groaned, rubbing his eyes and realizing the warm spot on his side. He looked down to see a pillow squished up against him. He was very confused but too tired to care.

~ Saturday afternoon… May 27th, 2023

Bucky kept hitting the punching bag, lost in his thoughts and trying to rid the images of his nightmare he had last night. He wished it happened sooner, not before he had to get Rose. He hated seeing Rose after a nightmare. It made him not focus on her. And he didn’t want that for her. He wanted Rose to know that all his attention was on her, it made him guilty about the entire thing. But Rose understood what he went through and so didn’t care at times like these. She liked watching him hit the bag over and over again and destroying it at the end. It showed how strong he was and how he could use that strength to protect her.

So Rose watched from the sidelines, watching and listening to the bag being punched over and over. She could see that her father’s shirt is soaked with sweat, as was his hair. Her hair was tied back in a ponytail like Bucky’s was. Rose liked looking like her dad during workout time. Her clothes even had to match...In color at least. She thought it made her stronger. Bucky thinks it’s adorable.

Bucky punched the bag one last time, breaking it from the hook and spewing it’s insides on the floor. Rose giggled as she got up to get the broom and dustpan that the owner left out for them. Bucky picked up the broken bag, setting it to the side before helping his daughter with the mess he made. Bucky and Rose cleaned in silence, not speaking about anything. Once everything was cleaned, Rose ran over to the boxing-ring. “What are you doing?”

Rose puts her fists up, grinning like a demon, “Fight me!”

Bucky chuckles as he shakes his head. He bends under the ropes stepping into the ring and kneeling down to his child, “I’m pretty sure you would win.”

“Fight me anyway!” Rose kept grinning.

Bucky stays on his knees, lifting his own fists and throws the first “punch”. Rose ducks and punches her dad in the arm. They continue their little play fight, Rose getting most of the punches in and Bucky just gently pushing his daughter to the ground. Bucky always stays on his knees when fighting his baby. He kinda wishes that Rose didn’t want to fight him when they were at the gym. He was afraid that he go into Winter Soldier mode. Even though that side of him is gone, that fear of it all coming back haunts him. Haunts him to the point that he might hurt his baby. But there his daughter was fighting him, laughing and not being afraid for a single second. Bucky couldn’t have asked for a better gift.

He knew it was Nat’s strength and mind that flowed through Rose. One of the things Bucky misses about Nat.

“Ahh! Nooo! I’ve been defeated! Ahhhbleeee!” Bucky goes down on the ground. A hand over his heart and his tongue sticking out, Bucky lands on the mat with a soft ‘thunk’. The little girl giggles as she climbs on top, crisscross-applesauce on her father’s chest. Bucky holds his breath so he isn’t moving at all. Rose wiggles her nose before moving forward to poke Bucky’s cheek. “Boo!”

“Ahh!” Bucky quickly sits up, grabbing his child before smothering her in his arms. The small gym then fills with their giggles, not paying attention to the woman that walked in.

“Well they did say that laughter is one way to get abs,” Bucky and Rose look towards one side of the rink, “So I’m not totally surprised to see laughter here.”

Bucky stands up holding is daughter like a baby, “Sorry to bug you. We were just messin’ around.”

The woman smiles, “No need to apologize. I just walked in. I’ve seen you two around before and I always love the fact that you’re always smiling and laughing!” she leans against the ropes, “I love seeing great parent-child relationships. Gives me hope for humanity.”

The woman pulls back on the rope before launching herself over, landing on her feet behind Bucky. The two turn around to face the woman, “Wow,” Rose’s eyes widen. “What’s your name, lady?”

Rose looks over the woman. She had dark, goldeny skin. That might be the light though. She was a tall woman, sports bra and workout leggings on her body with some sneakers. Her hair is long and in many braids like Shuri and Uncle Sammy’s sister. She had wraps around her hands like daddy and wore no jewelry. She was very pretty.

The woman bent down so she was eye level with the much smaller girl, “My name is Lilliebelle. What is yours?”

Rose grinned. She lifts her hand, signaling to herself, “ My name is Rose and this,” she pokes into Bucky’s chin, “is my daddy.”

Lilliebelle boops the tiny girl’s nose then straightens up to meet Rose’s daddies eyes, “And what is daddy’s name?”

The two adults give one another a nice smile. Trying not to be flirty in front of the five year old, “Daddy’s friends call him ‘Bucky’. And when mommy is mad she calls him ‘James’.” Rose answers for her dad.

“Bucky,” the dad says, placing the child on the ground, “You can call me Bucky.”

Lilliebelle and Buck shake hands not taking their eyes of each other. Rose looks between the two adults, very confused. “Hello?”

Lilliebelle shakes her head and looks down. She kneels down to Rose, “Since I’ve seen you two a lot, would it be ok for me to take you out for pizza? My treat!”

Rose gasps, mouth agape, turning to her dad, grabbing his arm and shaking it, “ Pleeeeease !”

Lilliebelle laughs standing up, “I pay.”

“Don’t tell your mother.”

Rose does the zipping of the mouth and throws away the key.

~ Sunday night…. May 28th, 2023

Rose skips down the hallway of the Avengers mansion, very happy about the weekend that has passed. Daddy met a girl and she seemed to like him and daddy was awkward. She also ate pizza when she wasn’t supposed to because mommy wants her to eat healthy every meal. Rose was a happy girl. That is a good thing. Maybe dangerous. But still good. “ Rose Barnes, please report to the roof for a family emergency, Rose Barnes ,” Friday announces on the P.A.

‘Oh no,’ Rose thought. She knew exactly what was going to happen. She knew the emergency wasn’t an actual emergency. Rose didn’t want to go. But it’s either go or hide and be hunted down and forced upstairs. She can hide afterwards. Rose takes her time, slowly walking down hallways and up stairs to the roof. She stands on the other side of the exit to the roof. The roof had a pool and an entire outside lounging area and grill. Morgan likes to pull Rose up there and they'd just float in pool floaties on the water. Morgan would get the pizza one while Rose got Uncle Clint’s duck floaty. Dean would be there sleeping on one of the chaise lounges.

Rose opens the door, finding the team except her mommy. The area was covered in fairy lights and the pool had lily ponds with candles. Morgan, Morgan’s twin Jamie, and Dean were sat over on the other side of the pool with his brother, Chris. Once they saw Rose, they motioned her over. Dean knew full well that she wasn’t going to like this. He could tell by how long she took to get up here. The four sat together, letting their feet swim in the cool water, waiting for the moment to come. Dean pulled Rose into his side, keeping her there.

~ 20 minutes later…..

“Yes!” Nat exclaims.

“WOOHOO! YAY!” the team cheers. The kids sat in silence.

Dean covered Rose’s mouth, holding her very close and tightly. He knew she was going to run off if he didn’t. But she managed to run off anyway.

Rose went up to the happy couple, Nat kneeling down to her daughter, kissing her cheek. Rose can see her mommy’s huge smile, but it was because of the wrong person. “What’s wrong baby?”

Angry tears were on the verge to soak Rose’s eyes. She turns to Steve who is also kneeling beside her. The little girl pushes her own mother on her butt before pushing the man over as well. “You traitor!” she yells at Steve, gathering everyone else’s attention.

Rose runs off inside. Running as fast as her little feet could move. Cries are the only sound in the hallways. Tony and Sam help the confused couple to stand back as Dean picked up Morgan and grabbed Jamie’s hand to run after Rose. Nat looked down at her ring then to up to Steve, “Huh, guess she does hate you.”

The happiness died in less than a minute. Everyone looked towards the door, waiting for something.

Rose had locked her door and hid in her wardrobe, tying it on the inside to keep it shut. She burrowed herself beneath her clothing, crying to herself.

On the outside of her door, Dean and Morgan stood, debating on whether to go in or not. Dean wanted to go in and comfort her, but Morgan wanted a juice box and thought Rose will get over it. Jamie also wanted a juice box. Dean lost. Because Nat moved them along.

Nat unlocked the door, stepping in and finding the sound of small, quiet whimpers. Nat sighed, closing the door and walking over to the wardrobe. She pulled up a chair, taking a seat right next to it.  She didn’t realize that Rose really did hate Steve. She had always thought that because Rose was only a toddler that she was just going through one of those phases where she didn’t like the parent's boyfriend/girlfriend, and because of Rose always using only Steve as a pillow when he is asleep for reading. But Nat was wrong. Rose hated Steve. And now, Rose hates her.

“Rosie?” Nat knocks on the tied up door. “Can we talk?”

Sniffles are her only answer. “Please baby?”

“I’m not opening the door,” Nat smiles.

“Ok,” Nat scoots closer to the wardrobe, resting her head on one of the doors. “I’m sorry this is a lot for you to take in and I’m sorry I’m marrying someone you hate, but I promise-”

“I don’t hate Steve.”

“What?” Nat sits up.

A noise comes from the other side of the doors. Rose is untying the ties from the doors. Nat steps back a bit for Rose to open the doors. As the doors open, small, messy articles of clothing fall out revealing the teary-eyed child. “I don’t hate him. I hate what he has done.”

Nat moves closer to face her daughter, “What do you mean?”

“Isn’t he supposed to be daddy’s best friend? Why is with you? It hurts daddy and it makes him feel pain every time he sees the two of you,” Nat is taken aback, “Daddy told me one night, ‘cause I asked, that he didn’t live here anymore because he hated seeing you two together. You make him upset and I don’t like it when daddy is upset! Daddy is already upset with his nightmares and the fact he can’t see me most days! Why would Steve do that to him?! And I’m pretty sure it’s just Steve that he is not comfortable with! If you were with anyone else daddy would be here! But no! You had to be with daddy’s best friend! Steve is a traitor!” With that, Rose slams the doors back shut. Leaving Nat in silence.

Nat is stunned. She didn’t realize any of this. Her daughter was right. Nat stands up to leave, placing the chair back in its place. She opens the door to find Steve, guilt plastered on his face. They both knew the girl was right. And Steve hated it. “Told you she didn’t hate you.”

Nat walks to her own room, the joy she was supposed to feel was gone. Steve only felt guilt. He, too, didn’t know that his best friend didn’t live there because of him. This is all Steve’s fault.

Chapter 4: Chapter 3

Chapter Text

~ Friday night, June 2nd, 2023…

Rose gets all dressed in her favorite pajamas, the one with Hawkeye bows, and grabs her favorite blankie. She waddles over into her daddy’s room and struggles for a bit to get on the bed. As Bucky finishes up in the bathroom he sees his daughter struggling to get up on the bed. He chuckles as he walks over and takes her foot in his hand and helps her up. She pushes off his hand and crawls under the covers. Bucky watches his baby get all snuggled up, “I heard you had an "outburst" this week. Want to tell me what that was about?”

Rose covers her head, muffling her answer, “Movy maring stev.”

Bucky shakes his head, climbing into bed next. He lifts the duvet to see Rosie clutching onto her blankie, “I didn’t quite hear that.”

Rosie looks up with her big blue eyes, “Mommy is gonna marry Steve.”

Bucky soft smile shifts to fear and abandonment. He falls back against the headboard, staring forward completely consumed by this information. It explained the outburst Rose had that Clint told him and it explained the ring necklace he saw Nat wearing just two hours earlier. Rose rises, her blanket over her head, crawling over into her dad’s side, “Can I sleep with you tonight?”

Bucky just nodds slowly, still processing everything. They sit there against the headboard wanting sleep to just over take them.

Bucky couldn't believe it. Why would Steve even think about being with his ex? Bucky knew he shouldn’t care about what Nat does with her life unless it involves Rosie, but she’s dating his best friend. If Nat dated literally anyone else, he wouldn’t care, but this was Steve. His best friend. Steve should know to never date his ex. Especially if that ex is the mother of his child and he was (and possibly still is) in love with her. Overall, a best friend should never date their best friend’s ex. But nooooo! Steve had to not only date her but get engaged to her! What the fuck! Damn it Stevie!

Bucky looked to his nightstand, seeing the clock say 12:46. He didn’t realize that he just stared off into space and not actually fall asleep. He looked at Rose who was sprawled all over the pillows, snoring lightly. He moves carefully off the bed, grabbing his phone and heading to the kitchen.

The dad calls up Clint, knowing full well that if he called Nat it wouldn’t end well. He also knew that Clint is awake at this hour.  Clint and his sons don’t sleep until, like, around 4 in the morning. Weirdos. As the phone rings, Bucky leans against the counter trying to soothe his breathing down. It wasn’t working. The phone finally is picked up, “Hello?” a groggy voice answers.

“Clint!” Bucky whisper yells, “Why didn’t you tell me that the mother of my child and my best friend were getting married and that’s why Rose had an outburst!?”

Silence on the other side before some shuffling, “Two things,” that’s not Clint, “One: I’m not Clint, it’s me Lilliebelle; and two: he probably knew that you’d kill him on the spot.”

Bucky’s eyes widen, “I am so sorry for calling you! I must have clicked the wrong number in blurry-anger-”

“Shut up, James,” Lilliebelle says, sitting up from her bed. She asks the only thing she can think of, “Would you like me to come over? I can help distract you two from the mess? We can go to a late movie or just walk around the park or I can take you two away for the weekend?”

Bucky suppresses a chuckle, “Since I only met you last weekend, I’m going to deny that. But it is tempting. Maybe tomorrow we can hang out. It’s too late right now and I don’t feel like waking my five year old at one in the morning.”

Bucky can hear Lilliebelle let out a small giggle on the other side, “Good point! Then maybe tomorrow we can hang out? I loved getting to know you two during the pizza night and texting you puns I found on the internet.”

“I did too. Keep sendin’ me those, they’re funny and in return we can hang out more.”

Lilliebelle smiles on the other side, “Deal. Now go to sleep. Or else you’re gonna be grumpy in the morning when your kid jumps on you.”

~ Saturday afternoon, June 3rd, 2023…..

It was nice and warm for a picnic lunch which is exactly what Lilliebelle took out Rose and Bucky for. Lilliebelle had packed a nice, healthy, and sweet lunch, full of fruits and gummy treats and cucumber sandwiches. Oh! Also juice boxes and Capri-suns. Lilliebelle also brought bubbles, a hula hoop, and some chalk. They three sat under a tree in the Central Park, Bucky sat up against it feeling more calm than in the past several hours. He watched as Lilliebelle blew bubbles at his baby. Rose seemed to like Lilliebelle, “How are you so good with kids?”

“I’m a tutor and a personal trainer. I also sell cookies in my neighborhood. I've gotten my fair share of lessons on how to get along and deal with children. Especially when most of your customers are kids. That and I like to babysit every now and then. It’s why I really wanted to know you, because this one,” Lilliebelle pinches Rose’s cheek, “is just the cutest little thing on the planet. Who wouldn’t want to spoil this creature. That and I always wanted to meet an Avenger.”

Bucky laughs earning a huge smile from Rose. She looks between the two adults and smiles. She might keep Lilliebelle if all she gonna do is make Bucky smile and laugh. “Baby girl, why don’t you tell Lilliebelle how old you are.”

Rose holds up her hand with all five fingers up, “I’m five years old.”

Lilliebelle hooked a finger under Rose’s chin, causing her to giggle a bit, “Well, even though you’re five, I can already tell that you are going to be very bright when you get older.”

“And I can tell that you and daddy are going to be great together!” Rose sticks out her tongue a bit as she bites it and smiles.

Lilliebelle looks down and bites her bottom lip before looking over at Rose’s father, “I think your daughter is trying to set us up.”

Bucky scoots closer to the two girls, leaning on his elbow. He boops his daughter’s nose, “I think that as well.”

Chapter 5: chapter 4

This is a short chapter, fyi.

Chapter Text

~Wednesday morning August 29th, 2023….

Nat packs up Rose’s bag for her first day of kindergarten tomorrow. Like most parents, Nat was excited to be watching her daughter grow up into the next phase of her life while also being completely upset that her child is growing up so fast. But Nat was also upset because she isn’t seeing her daughter so much anymore. Rose had asked to spend the entire rest of the summer at Bucky’s house so that she didn’t have to watch the wedding planning. The wedding was going to happen in January and Rose didn’t want to be there either. Now Rose was off to kindergarten and since the school is closer to Bucky, she was going to spend most of her time over there and only come to the mansion on the weekends. Nat is having a variety of mixed emotions.

Sam walks in with treats behind is back to put into the small backpack, whistling a funny tune he got from Clint. He sees Nat just standing at the counter, staring blankly towards it. Sadness written all over her face, “What’s wrong with you? You upset that Rose is growin’?”

“No,” Nat looks up, “I’m upset that Rose won’t be here anymore.”

“What do you mean? We’re still gonna see her on the weekends.”

“No. She will never want to be here anymore. All I want for her is to be happy with her family, but she doesn’t want to be even near place anymore-”

“More like she doesn’t want to be near Steve,” Bucky pops out of nowhere, “And I don’t blame her.”

Nat scrunches up her nose at the man, giving him the nastiest scowl Sam has ever seen. Sam shuffles over to Rose’s bag, placing the treats in the bag before scuttling out of the room. Not wanting to be part of this tension. There’s so much tension, angry tension, between the two parents that if you so much as linger in their sight for too long, they will both snap like rubber bands and lash out at each other ...and you.

“There is nothing wrong with Steve,” Nat forcefully zips up Rose’s bag, slamming it into her ex’s chest.

He grabs it, “You’re right there is nothing wrong with him. It’s you.”

“EXCUSE ME!!?”

“What kind of person dates their ex’s best friend!? And then marries them!? And not only that, why would you break up with me and the date Steve just two months afterwards!? That is by far the biggest question of them all!”

Nat is taken aback in anger and slaps Bucky across the face, “At least I didn’t put our daughter in danger when I was speeding because I wanted to get home!”

"That is not the reason we got into the crash, and you fucking know that!"

“STOP IT!” the two parents gasp as they turn to see their baby in tears, “Stop fighting!”

Bucky is the first one to go over to Rose, picking her up and calming her her down, “Shh, sh, we’re sorry baby! We didn’t mean to fight!”

The little girl drops her head into her dad's shoulder, crying some more. Nat comes over moving some hair behind Rose’s ear, “He’s right Rosie! We didn’t mean to fight! We never mean to fight! We’re sorry!”

Nat and Bucky hug their daughter tightly, holding each other together. They had promised to never fight when it comes to their Rose. Especially in front of her. It was part of their shared custody agreement that they signed. It was the first thing on the agreement. Now the two stand there with Rose in between them, Bucky has one hand holding Rose and the other is rubbing Nat’s back. God he missed this. Missed holding Nat. But ….he didn’t need it anymore.

Steve watches from the hallway. He wishes that Rose would get over him being with Nat. He wished that this family mess would vanish and they could all just be one happy family. But that seems like it isn’t going to happen any time soon.

Chapter 6: Chapter 5

Chapter Text

~ Friday afternoon December 22nd, 2023….

Rose is wiggling with joy in her motorcycle side-car. It was Christmas week and Rose was released from school just an hour ago. Lilliebelle had picked her up from school, telling her that Bucky was packing their bags for the next two weeks. Now Lilliebelle is driving her motorcycle with Bucky gripping around her and Rose riding in the side car. Rose loved Lilliebelle, she made daddy happy all the time and he doesn’t argue with mommy anymore. Lilliebelle also attached the side car to her motorcycle and got a helmet designed with a rose on fire for her. Lilliebelle also encouraged her to read at higher levels and her cursive. She even went to a parent-teacher meeting when Bucky was called in for a mission.

The three of them arrive at the Avengers mansion, Bucky grabbing the bags from the folding bike cargo storage cart as Lilliebelle picks up Rose, “You excited Lilliebean?! You’re gonna get to meet all the Avengers! I also told Dean, Chris, Morgan, and Jamie all about you and they are excited to finally meet you! So is Uncle Clint and Uncle Sammy! I showed them a picture of you to them and Sammy’s eyes grew big! He said you were a beautiful woman and questioned how daddy got you! Whatever that means.”

Bucky furrows his brows in confusion as he looks between the mansion and his two girls. “He did?” Rose nodds. Lilliebelle is trying to suppress a laugh, only smiling away from Bucky. “I’m going to kill him.”

“I don’t know about that. He may be right.”

Rose giggles as they walk along into the mansion. Lilliebelle puts Rose down, watching her hop further into the building. She takes a deep breath before, “HELLO!? ANYONE HOOOOME!?”

“That was loud,” Lilliebelle looks over at Bucky who just shrugs.

“Hi baby-” Nat walks down the stairs, stopping when she sees this mystery woman, “Who are you?”

Rose grabs Lilliebelle’s hand, pulling her towards her mommy, “This is daddy’s girlfriend! Her name is Lilliebelle and I call her ‘Lilliebean’! Isn’t she pretty?!”

Nat stands in front of them staring at the woman. She puts on a smile, holding out her hand, “I’m Natasha.”

Lilliebelle takes Nat’s hand awkwardly, “It’s an honor to meet you. I’m Lilliebelle, but you can just call me ‘Lillie’, or 'Belle'. You have a beautiful little girl! It has been a blast knowing this child! You two have truly raised an amazing child!”

Nat’s smile becomes more real, “Thank you. I didn’t know that Bucky would be bringing you. He said he was just bringing a “friend”.”

Lillie puts on a playful-ish scowl, turning her head to Bucky, “Excuse you, but according to your daughter, I’m your girlfriend. How dare you call me your “friend”.”

“Ooooooh,” Rose giggles away.

“Well, at that point we weren’t dating.”

Lillie and Nat start laughing, grabbing her own and Rose’s bags and walking upstairs. Bucky could tell that the two women were going to be friends. This makes Bucky smile. Also very afraid. Ex and current girlfriend getting along equals fear.

~ That night…

Bucky flops down on his guest bed. Not that it wasn’t already his bed. This used to be his room until he couldn’t take anymore of Steve and Nat being together. But the team never touched it any of it since and have just let it be his room. It was very welcoming. Lillie walks in, leaning on the door frame and smiling softly at the man, “You look comfortable.”

Bucky lifts one hand, holding up one finger, “The one thing I miss about this place: the beds are so comfy.”

Lillie closes the door walking further into the room. She takes a seat next to Bucky, laying down beside him. Bucky looks up to his side, seeing the beautiful woman. “Hi.”

“Hi,” Lillie replies. Bucky moves onto his elbow, resting his cheek on his fist. Staring down at the beautiful woman. She begins to rise up, getting closer to the metal-armed man. They lean closer to each other, “I think my boyfriend owes me a kiss.”

“I think my girlfriend owes me a kiss,” Bucky replies.

Just as their lips were about to touch, someone opens the door, “Hey daddy, I was- oh.” The two adults turn to the door, seeing a Rose trying to prevent a smile. “You know what, never mind.” Rose locks the door and shuts it all the way, smiling to herself.

“Did she just lock the door?” Bucky points over.

“Yep,” Lillie says with a ‘pop’.

“I’m afraid my child knows too much.”

~ Monday morning December 25th, 2023….

7 am… Jamie, Morgan, and Rose were the very first to get up, waking up Dean and Chris then off to wake up Thor and Brunn. They wait in the game room, staying away from the main living room where all the presents are. Wanda and Bucky would get up next with their Hanukkah sweaters and start to make some of their families' food. Even though Hanukkah has passed it’s very fun wearing their sweaters. That and Aunt May made them for the two and they are very soft. Happy and Joy would be the last ones up because they sleep very heavily.

For now, the seven of them wait and play some games, trying to keep Thor as quiet as possible. That won’t last long.

9:37 am…. All the small children gather on the sofas and chairs, being careful to avoid the still very tired Happy and Joy. Bucky and Wanda had placed out all the light snacks, Bucky grabbing Rose and sitting them down. Lillie is sitting behind them, Nat sitting next to her and Steve sitting next to her. The Stark family is sitting around Happy, Aunt May trying to wake them up. The two birds sat next to the Asgardians and the Barton boys. And the rest were scattered around. This was how it always is.

10:57 am… Everyone waits patiently for their turns and speak between one another as Parker takes photos of whoever opens their presents.

11:13 am… Lillie and Nat talk to one another as they start breakfast. Bucky and Rose place their presents away, Bucky giving Rose his sweater to wear.

1:48 pm… All the kids and Thor are outside building anything they could with snow as the other adults rest inside before the children bug them some more. And before Fury comes along with more presents because he loves spoiling the children. Sam and Clint can’t figure out who’s worse when is comes to spoiling children: Fury or Tony. The two legit have a white board of all the evidence between the two on who is more of a spoiler. Fury is winning.

Bucky sits by one of the windows to watch all the kids bury Thor in snow. He smiles very lovingly, not noticing Steve walking over. Steve sits next to him, looking between the daughter and the dad, “Hey.”

Bucky just gives Steve a nod, “I know this is weird, but you are coming to the wedding right? I mean, I know it’s gonna be weird and Rose told me that you didn’t want to be my best man, which I completely understand, but still I would like for my best friend to be there and-”

“Shut the fuck up, Steven,” Bucky says very calmly and quietly so only Steve heard. Steve shuts his mouth, very afraid of what Bucky is about to say next. “I’m going only because Rose is the flower girl and she is about to be your step-daughter, so that means you are about to be part of my family.”

“I thought we were already a family?”

Bucky eyes turn cold as they slip into Steve’s direction. He stands up to hover over the blonde man, the room seeming to darken around them. Shadows overtake Bucky’s form and to Steve it appears his eyes have even gone red. “We stopped being a family when you started dating the ex-love of my life.”

Nat and Lillie are down stairs, watching the kids play from the foyer lounge, cups of hot chocolate in their hands. They had their feet under them to their sides as they sit on one of the couches. Nat didn’t think she would like this woman because she… well she was Bucky’s girlfriend. And for some reason she gained this feeling of jealousy and hate, but then she sees Rose all jumpy and happy and Bucky is actually staring at her again and not with a sour look. That and Lille even gave Nat a gift. Lillie also respected her work and hasn’t questioned anything about Nat, only asked questions about how she could work with all these boys or how she can fight in a leather suit. Nat really likes Lillie.

And Lillie really likes Nat. She was beautiful and can definitely see that Rose was hers. She loved how strong Nat was and looks up to her. And Lillie obviously saw how much she loved Rose. She could see that that Rose was her first priority besides the whole avenging. But one thing that did get on Lillie’s nerves is the fact that Nat decided to date Steve. Only thing that bugged her. Other than that, Lillie loved Nat. The two now sit snuggled into each other, just watching the scenery outside.

“Have you ever been married?” Nat thinks about her wedding.

Lillie furrows her brows at the redhead, “Can I ask why you are asking me this?”

Nat immediately sits up, not realizing how personal that was, “I’m not trying to offend you in anyway am I? ‘Cause I just wanted to know because I’m getting married next month and I wanted to talk to someone outside this team about it.”

“Oh. OH! Right! You’re getting married next month?! Wow, time flies. Well, no. I’ve never been married,” Lillie places her mug on the side table before her face alters, “No one wanted to be with me.”

“Why?” Nat scoots back closer.

Lillie takes in a deep breath, “I’m infertile. No man wanted to be with a woman who couldn’t have their kids. After a good ten years of dating people who just wanted babies, I started trying to date single dads because they already had kids. But then stopped because it turned out they wanted more. I tried bringing up adoption, but that didn't go well. For some reason. I haven’t dated anyone in five years. So no, I haven’t been married.”

Nat places a hand on Lillie’s shoulder, “Bucky wouldn’t care. He probably couldn’t handle anymore kids anyway. He would love you no matter what. This is Bucky we’re talking about, he doesn’t care. He just loves.”

Lillie looks up through her lashes at Nat, “Then why did you leave him?” As soon as that question left her mouth, Lillie’s eyes widen in fear, “I am so sorry! I didn’t mean to ask that!” Nat stands up, taking her mug and leaving, “Natasha! I’m so sorry! Wait!”

No, that was a good question. Nat just doesn’t want to answer it. Lillie grabs her own mug and goes after Nat. Nat turns around, holding her hand up to shush Lillie, “Stop please. I don’t know why and that’s a very good question. It’s fine that you asked. Now drop it.”

Nat walks off again, leaving Lillie feeling so guilty.

9:57 pm… Lillie lies in bed, facing up at the ceiling, hands clapped together over her mouth. Guilty as fuck for what had happened early. She had completely ruined a great relationship with Rose’s mom. And she didn’t mean too. Lillie actually wants to have a good relationship with these guys because she liked Bucky and Rose. Even if Bucky and herself were just friends, she still wouldn't like to end up on the kill list for eh avengers. She would like to be alive and be grateful for having the avengers as friends. But NOW SHE IS ON THE BLACK WIDOW’S KILL LIST!!! GREA- “Hey,” Bucky walks in, “You ok?”

Lillie moves her hands to rest on her stomach, “I think I made Natasha hate me.”

Bucky sits on the bed, chuckling, “How’d you manage that?”

Lillie starts speaking really fast, “We were starting to have a lovely conversation and were just chillin’ and I told her the story of my dating life for some reason because she asked if I’ve been married and I told her that I was infertile and she told me you wouldn’t care and that you just love people and then I asked her why she left you and then she left and I feel so bad.”

Bucky shakes his head trying to understand any of that, “Wow. That’s one way to… ya, you are screwed.”

Lillie groans, covering her face with a pillow. A soft knock is heard before it opens. Bucky lightly shakes Lillie’s thigh for her to sit up. She does and holds her breath. Nat stands at the door, a small box in hand, “Bucky, leave.”

“But it’s my room,” Nat rests her face in his direction, “Annnd I’m leaving. Good luck.” Bucky whispers to Lillie.

Bucky leaves, leaving the two women alone. Awkward silence flows around Lillie as a calm energy surrounds Nat. Nat strides over to the other woman, taking a seat right by her side. She places the small box on Lillie’s lap. Nat nodds at it for Lillie to open it. The taller woman slowly reaches for the present and starts to open it very slowly, afraid of it being some kind of poison or death trap. But it’s not. It’s a small necklace of what seems to be some kind of puzzle piece. “May I ask what it is?”

“After dinner, I looked through my jewelry box and found this third piece. It’s part of a heart puzzle necklace thing. Rose and I have the other parts. It was supposed to be for Bucky but I never gave it to him for fear of him not wanting it. So, after the little conversation the two of us,” Nat’s hand motions between them, “I went to search for it, so you know that I don’t hate you. Nor do I wish for you to leave. I actually like having you as a friend because you don’t have any connections to us already. You are a normal person that just walked into our lives and just immediately accepted it. And I hope you never leave.”

three part friendship necklace

Lillie wipes a tear away, very moved by Nat’s words. She moves her hair out of the way to place the necklace on then moving closer to Nat to hug her, “Thank you.”

Nat wraps her arms around Bucky’s girlfriend, “Anytime.”

“I thought you hated me after what I said,” Lillie sits back, “I really didn’t mean to ask that.”

Nat laughs softly, “Nah. It was a good question. One I actually thought about. And all I can say is that I left him because it didn’t feel right for some reason.”

“Makes sense. I left one of my boyfriends because I had a gut feeling about him. Turns out he had killed his dog. So I was right.”

“Ok, I’m changing the subject,” Lillie laughs, “My child says you took her trick-or-treating. Show me pictures.”

Lillie chuckles before grabbing her phone and scooting over for Nat to sit next to her. Rose bursts through the door, since she had been listening this entire time, and jumps on top of the bed. Wiggling herself between them.

Bucky comes by twenty minutes later seeing all three girls have taken over his bed. He smiles and walks away. Going off to find the bird boys.

Chapter 7: Chapter 6

Chapter Text

~ January 7th, 2024…

Wedding day. Rose actually likes her dress Steve picked out for her. It surprised her. Her dress was a sapphire blue, flower girl dress with a ruby pink bow tied around her waist. Rose had asked for her and Morgan to have something match since they couldn’t match in dresses. So both had the same hairstyles: double buns with flowers braided in. Morgan wore a salmon dress with black shoes. Jamie is wearing the same skirt as his sister with a button up dress shirt and black dress shoes. Both twins wore a bow tie around their necks. Twins are adorable.

Clint’s sons, Dean and Chris, wore normal matching suits with their dad, including matching ties. Happy had dressed Joy in a red and blue dress to match her with Peter’s tie. T’challa and his family came by for the wedding wearing traditional Wakanda wedding clothes. Baby panther is there too. Shuri wanted to dress the baby in a cat-looking pajama outfit.

All the soldiers wore their uniforms, others wearing normal fancy clothes, and kids wore their clothes. Chairs lined up, tables covered with cloths, and plates set out. Everything looked beautiful. And everyone was inside. ‘Cause it’s January. It’s cold outside and no one wants to hear small children or Tony complain.

Nat is still upstairs getting ready, very nervous about this whole thing. She kept looking at the engagement ring and questioning it. She didn’t know why. She loved Steve and had said yes. Why is she questioning it? She loves Steve and- “Knock knock.” Nat looks at the door to find Lillie walking in. “Hey. You ok?”

Nat looks back down at her ring, “I think I have wedding regrets or something.”

“Oooh,” Lillie places a hand on Nat’s shoulder, “You’re having doubts. It’s ok, most people have wedding doubts. It’s normal. I read up on wedding things to be prepared for this. I read about this one wedding game where the bride and groom sit back to back and have one of each other’s shoes and they get asked questions about each other and- mmm.”

Nat slaps her hand over the woman’s lips, “I’ll think about it. Thanks.” Lillie smiles under Nat’s hand. Nat looks back at her ring, “So, it’s just normal thoughts?”

Lillie nodded, removing Nat’s hand, “Yep.” Lillie face softens down, “I have something to tell you.”

“Hmm.”

“Bucky… isn’t here.”

Nat felt a stab to her gut. She shouldn’t. It didn’t truly matter if he came or not. It was probably for the best, “Did he say why?”

“Mission from Everett. I believe. It’s why he wasn’t there to pick up Rose last week. He sent me with a present for the two of you and says he’s sorry for missing the wedding. He really did want to be here. So Rose and I didn’t feel out of place without him and so he could see Steve get married. And see you in the dress. He told me to take as many pictures as possible for him to see when he gets back,” Lillie folds her hands over Nat’s.

~ ending of ceremony…

Steve and Nat kiss to seal their marriage, everyone cheering for them. Lillie bending down right besides Rose to make her clap for her mom. As Steve and Nat walk down the aisle to the gym area that was decorated for the reception, they stopped. Everyone gave out light gasps to the figure at the end of the aisle. The couple both smiled and parted to the sides for Rose to see between them. Lillie grins in surprise, placing her hands over her mouth as Rose’s eyes widen, “DADDY!”

Rose runs past her mother and step-father and into Bucky’s arms, Bucky kneeling down to catch his baby. Bucky had come back just an hour before, getting cleaned up and dressed in his uniform for the wedding. Not wanting to show up messy and smelling like blood.

Bucky’s eyes tear up as he kisses his baby’s cheek, he really missed his baby. A week away is too long. All of a sudden a new set of arms wrap around them then another and one more. Bucky opens his eyes to his right to see Steve resting his head on his shoulder. Steve and Bucky just stare at each other before Buck mouths, ‘I hate you’.

~ during some time of the reception…

“Ok, guys! I need Steve and Nat to sit right in these seats, back to back, and take off your shoes. This is a wedding game, where the bride and groom have one other shoe plus their own and are asked a bunch of questions about their relationship. When they think it’s them they raise their own shoe, and if it’s their spouse they raise that shoe and so on! Let’s get started!” Lillie pulls out her phone as Steve and Nat take their places.

Then everyone awe’s when Rose sits on Steve’s lap, snuggling into him. She whispers into his ear, “I still don’t like you, but I’m willing to get over you. You just have to promise to never hurt my mommy or daddy or I will kill you. Do you understand?”

Steve just smiles and kisses Rose’s forehead. He nodds and continues. Bucky takes the mic and looks at the phone, “Ok, so, hehehe! The first question is ‘who is older?’ but I think we all know that answer!” The crowd lets out a giggle. “Ok, second question…. Is also stupid…. Ok third question: when you first started liking each other, who made the first move?”

Nat raised Steve’s shoe and Rose grabbed his shoe as well to raise it. Steve covers his face. “He did it very weirdly!” Nat yells out.

“Fourth question: Who is the better driver?”

Rose and Nat both grab Nat’s shoes and raise it high in the air. Steve looks at the small child, “ I’m the one supposed to be answering these things, you pest!”

Nat shakes her head and looks over at Buck and Lillie, looking beautiful together. The game continues, ending with “Who is the first to say ‘I’m sorry’?” Rose picks up Steve’s shoe knowing full well mother doesn’t say ‘sorry’, she just stares and nuzzles.

Everyone laughs as Nat furrows her brows at her child. Rose’s eyes widen in fear and happiness, throwing the shoe and running into Lillie’s legs. Nuzzling her face into one leg. Lillie picks up the baby girl, hugging her very tightly. Rose kisses Lillie’s cheek, laying her head in the crook of her neck.

The reception went on, Morgan and Rose throwing petals at Chris while Dean plays with Jamie. Lillie gets to know the other women as Buck bugs Sam and Clint. Steve and Nat sit at their table eating cake and watching their family enjoy themselves. Steve nudges Nat to go throw the bouquet of flowers. All the unmarried women, and Sam, gather in the middle of the room, getting themselves prepared to catch the bundle of wedding flowers. Even Morgan and Rose are in the middle with the others. Nat however is hesitant to throw it. She didn’t want Lillie to catch it for some reason. Nonetheless, she turns around her back facing the crowd, holding her flowers in hand. She takes a look at her husband, him waving her on to throw it.

Nat throws it, time freezing before her. She turns to see who caught it and she feels an overwhelming sense of hatred in her heart.

Lillie caught it and Rose is jumping for joy. How can Rose love that woman more than her own mother? Is that even what's happening?

Nat sits down, a fake smile on her face. Clint can see pass that smile and knows that something is wrong. He knows the exact thing that is wrong.  He looks over at the Lillie and sighs. He picks up his phone texting Nat to not kill anyone and to just enjoy her time and ignore the woman Bucky was dating. Nat tried, but her gut feeling stayed with her. But the feeling… she couldn’t figure out which emotion it was.

Chapter Text

~May 3rd, 2024….

Rose swings her feet as she sits on the school’s wall that surrounded the outside. She is waiting for her daddy to come pick her up from school. She had a whole bunch of new pictures she drew with a bunch of the other students in her class and her drawings were obviously the best, including some dragons, castles, vampire mermaids, and of course pictures of LillieBean and daddy cooking together. Bucky gets so joyful when Lillie comes over and cooks dinner with them. Lillie always gives Rose the sauce from the pans. Bucky was absolutely amazed when Lillie got Rose to eat beans. Hence her nickname: LillieBean. Rose never shows mommy or Step-Steve her drawings of the two, she thinks they’ll get mad.

Rose hears the familiar roar of a motor and looks up. She grins very wide seeing Bucky and Lillie on a black motorcycle with a dragon on the outside of the fuel tank. She also sees her new helmet in her side-car. Rose jumps into her dad’s arms arms, giving him a huge hug before plopping down into her side-car. Buckling up and placing her helmet on. It has a bedazzled rose that’s on fire. They drive off to their apartment. Yes, their apartment.

Lillie finally moved in with them just last month. Lillie moved out of her apartment, sold lots of her stuff, mostly furniture, and told her family. Lillie’s mom, older brother, and sister all helped out. Lillie’s mom getting too excited about Rose and just kept an eye on her. Ms. Barkus even helped move her in. Lillie’s siblings interrogated Bucky; seeing that he truly loved Lillie told them they had nothing to worry about. Lillie made cookies for everyone too, Rose had the greatest day. She cuddled right in between the two grown ups that night. It was great. Lillie is also finally letting Bucky drive her motorcycle.

They arrive home, the tall woman picking up herr- the little girlfriend as the dad picked up the bag. They said their usual ‘hi’ to Ms. Barkus and walked into their apartment. Lillie puts Rose down, covering her eyes, “We have a surprise for you.”

“Ooooh! What is it!?” Rose puts her tiny hands over the bigger ones.

Lillie nodds for her boyfriend to get the surprise. Bucky had wanted this for his baby for so long and now he can finally give her this. You know that most wonderful feeling? Bucky is feeling that. He holds the present in his arms so carefully, making no noise to raise the suspense. Rose is shaking with excitement, the woman behind her is giggling at the small child. Bucky kneels in front of his baby nodding at his girlfriend to open her hands. Rose puts her own hands and squeals. Her eyes widen so wide Bucky is afraid that they’re going to explode.

In his hands is a Newfoundland puppy (yes the actual name for the dog, no joke look it up)! It is black with a tiny white spot on it’s chest. It is so fluffy! Bucky places it down, it’s little legs wobbling and dropping itself to the ground. Rose falls to her knees to kiss the little thing’s head and pet it so nicely. Bucky looks up to Lillie, giving a thumbs up. Herself giving a thumbs up in return. They did good. “You have to name him, Emmy,” Lillie pets the puppy.

“Thor.”

Bucky snorts, “You sure?”

Rose looks up and stares straight into her father’s eyes, no smile, “Yes. His name is Thor.”

Lillie claps her hands, “Thor it is!”

The next day, the three got a name tag for the puppy then took him to the park to play. When they got home, Rose, for the rest of the day, tried to train it. Puppy Thor has to sleep in a pen until he is house trained, but he at least gets to sleep in Rose’s room.

~Sunday, May 5th, 2024….

Very early…. Like 6:00 am … Rose picks up her heavy puppy from his pen, putting him on the floor and going to her father and Lillie’s room. She slowly opens the door, running in and jumping on the bed. The adults groan. Puppy Thor keeps trying to jump up, but can’t seem to get on with his girl. “Dad, dad, dad! Lillie! Lilliebean! Wake uuuuuup! It’s time to get up! Come on! There are pancakes that need to be made and I can’t cook!”

Bucky turns his head slightly, still covered by the pillow beneath his head, “Your daughter is awake.”

Lillie chuckles, “Before eight am, she is your daughter.”

“I’m going to start jumping on you.”

[Not really part of the story: APARTMENT TOUR!! So it’s an apartment in Manhattan, New York (I found the closest layout to the one in my head [and this picture you see is not the one I originally had, it's different but I can't the one I had saved on reverse image, so sadly this is worse than before, but you get the idea]), with three bedrooms except one is an office. The living room has a tv with a couch and two arm chairs, along with a bookshelf and a cabinet shelf. The shelves are littered with photos of mostly Rose and Bucky, but now Lillie’s own pictures have came in, and many books and movies. Maybe a decorative vase. The walls have taped up drawings from Rose. (this was mentioned earlier but easily forgotten.) Rose’s room had a day bed up against the wall, walls painted with the city of Notre Dame and the church with Quasi sitting on the top, she had nine-cubicle shelves filled with toys from the avengers and books she picked out from the thrift store, and had a small dollhouse her father built her when she was two. Her dresser was covered in flower stickers and sat next to the other side of the door. Which was covered in Disney princess stickers. The master bedroom had a queen sized bed with short, black curtains on the rim of the top and a night table on either side. Two dressers with a couple of photos and accessories. And finally a small rug on the floor. All the bathrooms were standard with the basic necessities and a Disney theme one for Rose. The kitchen has grey laminate countertops, a white fridge and stove, and a little hula girl next to the cookie jar.]

Chapter Text

~ ~ August 28, 2024….

Tomorrow was Rose’s first day of First Grade, and she is so excited because she’s going to private school with Jamie and Morgan and was going to be in the same class too! Thank you Tony. Chris and Dean were homeschooled so they wouldn’t be joining them. Rose is currently picking an outfit for tomorrow and placing all her school stuff together. Lillie had made her a new sparkly tutu and new ribbon bands for her hair. Bucky just upgraded her bulletproof leather vest. Added a skull patch on one of the pockets and a few spikes on the shoulders.

It is a nice summer afternoon, Ms. Barkus was babysitting Rose for Bucky and Lillie were out on a ‘no kids allowed’ date. Rose kept questioning why, but apparently dates are not supposed to always have children. Which is upsetting. Rose stays in her room, playing with her dolls as Ms. Barkus read in the living room when, “OH MY GOD!! YAYYY! CONGRATULATIONS TO THE BOTH OF YOU! ROSE COME OUT HERE!!”

Rose and Big Puppy Thor raise their heads towards the door. Rose takes her falcon stuffed doll and opens the door, Big Puppy Thor going through first. She looks at the adults, their smiling faces brightening up the room. Ms. Barkus had her hands up clapped together, close to her face as Lilliebean held Bucky’s arm. “What’s up?”

Bucky starts to step forward only to be stopped by Lillie. She kneels down in front of Rose, holding onto her shoulders. Rose furrows her brows at the adults. She stares into the older woman’s eyes: joy filled her, “Emmy, Rose baby,” Lillie, “how would you feel if I stayed apart your life forever? Like a second mommy?” Rose couldn’t believe what she was hearing, “I would, of course, never replace your mother, and I would never steal you from her-”

“Are you telling me that you and daddy are getting married?” Rose clutched her falcon rag doll, awaiting for the answer she hopes to come out.

Bucky now kneels next to the two of them, “Yes baby,” Rose face lifts with glee, “I’m going to  marry Lillie.” Bucky takes Lillie’s left hand to show Rose the black ring that decorated Lillie’s left ring finger. It had mini flowers around the center which had a small rainbow opal.

Rose started crying, engulfing Lillie in her arms. Big Puppy Thor nuzzling in between them. Bucky then engulfs both his girls in his arms.

Chapter 10: Chapter 9

Chapter Text

~ August 31st, 2024…

Saturday morning….

Rose lays next to Steve as Nat takes a shower. Tony, Sam, and Clint stand at the door, not believing their eyes. Steve can’t even believe it. Rose is actually cuddling Steve while he is awake. She is sleeping right next to him. She got into bed with the two adults earlier when they just woke up and just cuddle right up to Steven. Nat thought about calling an exorcist, because something was obviously wrong. Steve is afraid to move from his spot, he believes she’ll leave as soon as he does. Like a cat. Steve looks at the guys, mouthing for help. They shake their heads and slowly leave the room. Closing the door in their wake.

Nat exits the bathroom, dressed, walking over her baby girl and husband. Her brows were scrunched together, questioning this phenomenon. She couldn’t believe it. No one could. Last time Rose was there, which was last weekend, she avoided Steve and only went near when he was asleep or Dean or Chris was in the room. But now? She is full on cuddling with Steve while he’s awake. He’s allowing him to pick her up. Rose, just last night, forced Steve to pick her up. What had happened in the past five days that led to Rose being ok with Steve?

“Hey, darling,” Nat slightly shakes her daughter, “It’s time to wake up.”

Rose groans, nuzzling her head into Steve, too tired to wake. “Come on, kiddo. Wake up.”

“No,” Rose mumbles.

“I need to make breakfast, kiddo. Come on,” Steve pushes Rose off him further into the bed. Steve got up, but only to be pulled back on his butt by the little girl. She clung to his back, her blankie in her small hand. She rested her head on his shoulder as her legs wrapped around his waist. Steve looked over at Nat, who had moved besides him, “Your child is sick or something.”

“Noticed.”

~Later… lunch maybe...

Rose is drawing with the other avenger kids outside because Dean was painting a masterpiece of the Avengers mansion. Showoff. Tony comes out to check on the kids, he loves seeing his twins getting along and he loves watching Chris fail at drawing a circle. He looks at Dean’s artwork, so stunned by how realistic but also unrealistic it looks. He moves over to his twins, seeing their cute doodles of the team and guardians. Morgan of course drawing many spidey doodles while Jamie drew Thor. Chris…. Is trying to draw a circle. He looks over at Rose’s art and cocks his head. It’s Bucky and Lillie, that is obvious, but something is strange. Lillie wore a white dress. Had a veil, he thinks, on her head with flowers in hand. Bucky wore a suit.

There’s an alter with many flowers around and a small black blob in the corner in a seat (Big Puppy Thor). Rose is there too. In the middle of the two adults. As Tony looks at Rose’s drawings, he sees the same three people with the same black blob. All happy and enjoying life. As Rose grabs another colored pencil, Tony snatches on of her drawings, leaving the kids. Only Dean noticed what he did.

~

Tony slams open the door to Steve’s office, regretting his decision, “AHH! My eyes!!”

Nat turned her from her husband to the squealing man at the door, “This is what happens when you don’t knock.”

“Yeah, yeah, just put your shirt back on,” Tony closes the door behind him, walking forward towards Steve’s desk. The couple put their shirts back on, Nat hoping off of Steve’s desk into his lap, leaning back into the chair as Tony leans against the desk.

“What’s up Tony?” Steve wraps his arms around Nat. “What’cha got in your hand?”

Tony unfolds the drawing, looking at it, “I think I know why Rose has been much happier lately,”  and hands it over to Nat, “She doesn’t care about Steve anymore. She’s accepting it because Bucky is getting married.”

The couple’s faces turn to confusion as they sit up to look at the doodle. It’s like the one Tony saw before except a picnic scene. The black blob with a red thing around it’s whatever it is. Rose is squished right in between the adults. “Well, at least Buck is no longer alone,” Steve shrugs, looking between the two.

Nat stands up, crumbles up the drawing and throws it away, walking out of the office and towards her room. Tony purses his lips together, looking at Steve. “You might want to comfort your wife.”

~

Steve walks into his and Nat’s room, seeing her squeeze a pillow as she lays on her side. She faces away from the door. “Nat? Doll? You okay?” Nat doesn’t respond. Steve sighs, closing the door and walking over, “Why do you care?”

“Hmm?”

“Why do you care if Bucky is moving on? We should be happy. Bucky, yes, wasn’t exactly thrilled about the two of us, but he lives with it. Now he is moving on and we should be happy for him. Besides, Rose is actually going near me and cuddling and not caring about me. Sure it hurts a bit because it’s Bucky becoming happy before acceptance, but I think it’s great-”

“Stop talking.”

“Not until you tell me what was wrong with what we just saw,” Steve pulls out the crumpled piece of paper.

Nat stares at the ball of paper, closing her eyes the next second. “I don’t know.... I just don't know."

Chapter 11: Chapter 10

Chapter Text

~ Oct. 18th, 2024….

Rose tapes up her last box, Lillie holding down the flaps. Lillie picks it up and goes to put it in the living room where all the other boxes were. All the furniture had already been moved to the new house in the suburbs of Jamaica Estates. Tomorrow they would move the boxes into a truck and move to the new house. Ms. Barkus is gonna make dinner for them and make plenty of leftovers so that they can settle in and not have to deal with making dinner. And since all the furniture is at the new house, Rose gets to sleep in the master bedroom on the floor in sleeping bags with Buck and Lillie. Thank god, everything had managed to fit in minimal boxes, no more than 15. Good.

As Lillie places the last box with the others, she picks up Rose and takes her to the master bedroom, closing her old bedroom door. Rose is upset about one thing though: her room walls. They’re so beautifully painted and now she has to deal with plain walls. But, unbeknownst to her, Lillie had a plan for that.

Lillie had taken photos of the walls, because she plans to recreate them at the new house. Lillie couldn’t wait for it.

The two girls, and dog, watch some cartoons, waiting for Bucky to get home. And for Ms. Barkus to come knock on the door to give them food. Rose sat in between Lillie’s lap, leaning back into her chest. A blanket and Lillie’s arms wrapped around her. The falcon doll in her arms as well. They are watching Tom and Jerry: Rose’s favorite cartoon besides Gravity Falls. Lillie enjoyed this show too, she grew up with it of course. Then, a knock comes to the door. “I’ll go get it. You keep watching,” Lillie get’s up.

She walks over to the door and as she opens she says, “Finally you get here. We’ve been… waiting? Hi Nat? What’cha doin’ here?”

Nat is standing there for some reason, “I’m here to talk to Bucky.”

“Sorry, he’s not here. He went out to check on the house and make sure everything is in order to move in tomorrow,” Lillie checked the clock on the oven. “He should be back real soon if you want to wait for him.”

“I think I’ll do that,” Lillie moves to the side for Nat to come in.

“We’re just watching some cartoons if you want to join us.” Lillie closes the door.

Nat takes a deep breath, “Can I actually just speak to you for a quick second?”

“Of course, what's up?” Lillie crosses her arms, looking at the red head.

Nat looks around at the empty walls, the boxes, and the bland room she’s in. She is taking in every detail before she starts saying what’s on her mind. She takes in Lillie’s appearance: her braids draped over her shoulders perfectly and down her side and back, her sweats were baggy, but still shaped her nicely, her skin had no make up, but still shiny and pretty, her tank clung to her curves, and she is much taller than Nat. Nat kinda hates this woman and for no reason at all. “This is kinda personal, but I think you can handle it. How did you manage to get Bucky and my daughter to fall in love with you within under a year and then get married?”

Lillie is a little taken aback. She starts to play with the necklace Nat gave her from Christmas. “I-I-I don’t know. I guess I just showed up when the universe wanted me too?”

Nat didn’t say anything, “New question: how long have you been part of the gym that Rose said you all met at?”

“About six years.”

“You said that you’ve seen them before, right?”

“Yes? I would see them all the time when Bucky first start bringing Emmy there. I liked seeing them, it was nice and then one day I went up to them. Why does this matter?” Lillie steps back a bit.

“I just don’t like how you managed to come into our lives so quickly and are so calm with it.”

Lillie holds her breath, “You think I’m some kind of traitor.”

“Yeah-”

“Not a question. Statement.”

“Noticed. Don’t interrupt me again-”

Lillie stands up straight, not gonna take this from a woman who almost a foot shorter than her. She places her hands on her hips, “Look, Romanov, I thought we were getting along, but if you’re gonna think I’m some kind of traitor or secret agent or spy or whatever! We cannot be friends and I don’t want to speak to you.” Lillie reaches behind her neck and unlocks the necklace Nat gave her and drops it into Nat's hand. “You can wait out here for Bucky to return.”

With that, Lillie goes to the other room, leaving Nat alone. Just as Lillie shuts the door Bucky walks in, “Oh, hey Nat. What are you doing here?”

Right behind him was on old lady, who Nat assumed was the Ms. Barkus that Rose talked about.

~Oct. 25th, 2024

Lillie rides her motorcycle with Rose in the side car to the mansion for Rose’s time with her other family. They arrive and Lillie’s parks her bike. She picks up Rose’s bag and takes her hand as they walk to the front door. Rose decides to skip ahead, but stops when the door opens to Steve. “Hi-ya Step-Steve! What’s up?!”

“Nothing, kiddo. You go play with the others, dinner is almost ready.”

Rose grabs her bag and runs off inside. Steve looks over at Lillie, seeing that she is not leaving. “I really hope you don’t think I’m some kind of spy too.”

“What?” Steve steps outside with Lillie, crossing his arms.

“I was sure that your wife would tell you what she thinks I am,” Steve makes a gesture for her to continue, “Your wife thinks I’m some kind of traitor. Like a spy or some kind of agent.”

Steve sighs, “I’m so sorry she said that. I’ll talk to her and get her too apologize. I knew she didn’t like the fact you were with Bucky, but I didn’t know it had gone that far-”

“Why doesn’t she like me being with Bucky?! What is her problem?!” Lillie scrunches her face, hands on her hips.

Steve holds his hands out in defense, “I don’t know! Don’t shoot the messenger! I will talk to her.”

Lillie takes a deep breath to calm down, “I’m sorry I yelled at you.” Steve nodded. “Can I ask you for a favor?”

“Depending on the favor.”

“Could you possibly come over this weekend or whenever Rose isn’t with us and help me paint her room?”

It’s Steve’s turn to be taken aback. He never thought Lillie or anyone would ask him for art that doesn’t require him drawing them. “What am I painting in her room?”

“Painting the walls like famous Disney scenes. And like her old walls,” Lillie pulls out her phone to show Steve the walls of Rose’s old room. “You think we can do that in less than two days?”

Steve hesitates to take the phone, only for Lillie to give it to him to let him see the walls closely. He nodds, agreeing to help paint the room. Lillie takes her phone back, walking back to her bike. She smiled over her shoulder at him. Appreciating his kindness to help her. Steve smiles towards her, walking inside. Once in, his face hardens as he walks off to find his wife.

Chapter 12: Chapter 11

Chapter Text

~Oct. 27th, 2024…

Steve is the one to drop off Rose. Nat doesn’t want to be anywhere Bucky and Lillie. Steve didn’t mind though, he wanted to see Rose’s reaction to her room. Steve left really early in the morning of Saturday to get to the house. With him was: Clint, Sam, Dean, and Chris. Buck and Lillie had already bought the paints needed, so they were ready to get to painting as soon as they got there. The furniture was moved out, painting cloth-blanket-thing was placed down, and all kinds of paint brushes were laid out. Each team of partners worked on the layout of each painting then worked together one painting at a time to finish up the details. It took the entire weekend to finish up. Steve left in the afternoon of today to go pick up Rose, as the painting team finishes up the last touches and quickly dries up everything.

Steve was the only one to return at night of Saturday to be with the others. Nat had been sleeping somewhere else after she and Steve had an argument Friday. Rose was scared, she doesn’t like when mommy yells. Rosie had slept in Tony’s room when she heard the argument. Pepper gladly welcomed it. They all heard the yelling. It wasn’t pleasant. Rose now returns home without mommy, because she is still scared and mommy feels bad.

Steve walks up the porch with Rose, a huge grin on his face, “Why are you smiling?”

“Because I’m happy.”

“Why? You and mommy had a huge fight and she slept in an entire different room from you.” Rose stops at the door to look up at Step-Steve. The smile goes away.

“Let’s just get you inside,” Steve knocks on the door.

Rose looks at the door with confusion when it opens, seeing Clint opening the door, “What in tarnations are you doing here?!”

“Get to your room,” is all Clint says as he opens the way for her to run in. He gives Steve a huge smile.

The three walk run up the stairs, turn the corner, and speed walk to Rose’s room. She sees that her bedroom furniture has been moved to the play room for some reason. Rose opens the door and sequels at the sight. Her room was entirely repainted, just like her old room except way better. The wall next to the door, to the right, was Quasi on the church, the window side has Rapunzel, and the other two walls are Elsa’s castle, left side of the door, and a dark forest illuminated by a trail of will-o-the-wisps leading up to a single wooden target already riddled with arrows.

Rose is in absolute shock. She can’t move from her spot. Steve has to move her to the inside of the middle of the room. She turns slowly to further examine every detail. Dean is filming the entire thing. Each and everyone one of them had a huge grin on their faces.

After Lillie said that this entire thing was her idea, Rose couldn’t unwrap her arms from Lillie’s waist. The older ones watched as Rose stepped closer to all the walls, touching any and every detail she could. Then she sequels again.

An hour later, all the furniture is moved inside the room and the guys all leave. Rose couldn’t stop getting distracted by all the walls. Lillie had to get Rose to pay attention several times over the hour. It was truly a great evening. For them at least.

Over at the mansion, Nat is nowhere to be seen. She just left to clear her head. Clint knows exactly where she went too and tells everyone to remain calm. Saying she’ll return when she has officially cooled down. Which she does. Two weeks later. She then calls up Bucky to tell him to keep Rose for a few months because she wants to pull her self together before seeing her daughter again.

Chapter 13: Chapter 12

Chapter Text

~ Dec. 13th, 2024….

“🎵Happy Birthday to youuuu!🎵 Yayy! Blow out your candles!” Everyone cheered for Rose as she blows out her birthday candles. The big number 7 she was turning and it was great.

Everyone got a piece of cake or brownies and talked about. Rose had of course the twins, the Barton's, Tony and Pepper, Sam, Wanda, Thor, Banner, and of course her parents all at her party. It is at the new house. The wrap around porch had Disney decorations along with some dragons and kids eatin’ some cake, adults talkin, and Nat nowhere to be seen. Rose didn't even notice her mom not being there. Which broke Bucky, Steve, and Lillie’s hearts. Rose still needs her mother, mommy is just upset over something she shouldn’t be. But Rose didn’t need to know that. But something that everyone, surprisingly, didn’t notice was the puzzle piece necklace that hangs from Lillie’s neck.

The party is actually really calm, a few toys here and there and a table of food and drinks. Nothing too extreme here. Which is good. But Lillie felt off. She should have been here by now. She should have come back a month ago. Something happened, Lillie knows it. She keeps touching the necklace, looking behind her, watching almost anything. Clint is the only one to notice her weirdness. Surprisingly.

“What’s up?” Clint takes Lillie’s plate of food.

“You just stole my food.”

“Besides that. You’ve been paranoid since the party started. What’s wrong?”

Lillie just looks at him, then smiling she signs ‘NAT BACK BY NOW WHY NOT HERE’ She takes her food back then leaves to the others. Leaving Clint worried. But at least he knows what is wrong with her, sorta.

Rose opens her new chalk, pouring them out on the cold, concrete porch, the Stark twins joining in for some coloring. Chris watches from the sidelines eating cake. Even though it’s cold, it is a great day in Rose’s eyes. Her mind not even thinking of the danger that could be around the corner. Then the back door slammed, causing everyone's heads to turn. Dean and Chris pulled the younger ones away from the door, Lillie stepping forward.

She walks in alone, looking around at everything. She walks back to the kitchen releasing a huge breath of relief to see Nat. She is looking for the first aid kit and tape. She looks over at Lillie and waves, “Hey. Sorry I’m late. But traffic is a bitch, and I forgot to wrap Rose’s present. Don’t worry I'm fine.” Lillie gives Nat some tape as the redhead bandages herself up. “By the way, presents for a seven year old is hard as fuck when last minute.”

“Haha. It would have been easier if you back a month ago,” Lillie wrapped the present.

Nat gave a small smile, “Har har, I will shoot you.”

“Nat?” the two ladies turn around to see Steve and Buck.

Nat leans sideways against the counter, “Hey boys.”

Steve was the first to move. He encloses Nat in a hug, “Where have you been?! We’ve been worried sick! Why are you injured?!”

Nat hugs her big goof back, patting his back as he holds her. She looks over at Lillie, getting her approval of saying it, “I went on a small roadtrip, got held up in something then remembered it's my daughter's birthday, soooo.”

Steve looks over at the other woman, “Well at least you're ok. Now when did the two of you start getting along again?”

"A while back. I came back once and decided to make amends, then went away again because I still didn't feel all there."

"Now we besties!" Lillie pulls Nat into a side, grinning cheekily.

“You start singing the family song and I’m going to shoot you myself,” Nat raises her brow as she leans against the counter herself. Lillie laughs and she hooks her arm with the red head, grabbing their daughter's present on the way out.

Rose practically sequels when she sees Nat and then goes silent when she opens her present. It’s a Quasimodo plushie plus a goat plushie. Rose then pulls her mother and Lillie to the sidewalk to draw with them. Bucky watches from the sidelines, very happy and not going to question his fiancé on his daughter’s birthday. He’s gonna save that for later.

After the party, Nat and Lillie spend a good 10 minutes looking for all the bugs and destroying them. Rose asks to stay with mommy for the night and of course Lillie and Bucky agree. Besides, they want some alone time. They need to discuss *cough cough* some things *wink wink* *cough cough* (they’re going to fondue) *cough cough*.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ok so I’m lazy and basically you now how this is done. Nat and Lillie are friends. Everyone loves Rose b/c she is the cutest shit. Bucky and Lillie get married and it’s the most epic thing to ever happen. Oh and Clint and his boys got Rose a ferret and she named it Hulk b/c she can. Everyone lives happily ever after because I love happy endings because they don’t exist in the real world. The end.
This is what the house looks like (if house tour and Bucky/Lillie wedding is wanted, I will write and add another chapter).
