Chapter Text

Suga had just got done dealing with the Chaos of his team and heading home when the idea popped into his head. He opened up his phone and messaged Akaashi he gained his number after a practice match with Fukorodoni at the training camp him and the team went to.

Phone text

Suga- Hey Akashi I have a question for you?

Akaashi- Sure Sugawara-San what do you need?

Suga- You deal with most of your teams antics right?

Akaashi- You could say that in a way I do so yes?-

Akaashi went and reread the message and was wondering why Suga had messaged out of the blue he was at home working at homework at the time and needed somewhat of a break so he went and laid on his bed to continue the conversation with Suga.

Suga- So your kinda like your team mom yes?🙂

Akaashi- while I do not believe I am any of my teams mom I do tend to make sure they stay out of trouble

Suga- Does Nekoma have anyone like that?🧐

Akaashi- I would say Yaku would be who your looking for

Suga- Do you have his #

Akaashi- Yes

Suga- Great please bring him along this weekend and anyone from any other teams that you would consider a team MOM!

Akaashi- Wait I didn’t know I was coming to Miyagi this weekend

Suga- 🥺please?

Akaashi- 🤨

Suga- I promise it will be worth it and you can all stay at my house🙏

Akaashi- fine I will try and convince Yaku to come with me

Suga- thank you so much🤩

Suga practically runs home excited for the weekend and thinking they all probably need this falling asleep almost instantly his head hits his pillow.

Suga enters the gym to Noya doing his rolling thunder and Tanaka simping over Kyoko while Kagiama and Tsukishima seemed to be in some kinda argument. Daichi enters with the couch and says “get ready to go be on your best behaviors we have a practice game with Seijoh today so head for the bus and let’s go”.

Suga gets on the bus and thinks “I wonder who there team mom would be Oikawa maybe?”

At Seijoh's gym after Karasuno had arrived Suga kept glancing at the team trying to determine who the right choice was when he was startled by a tap on the shoulder he jumped slightly and glanced over at Daichi and says “yeah what do you need Dai?”

Daichi says “you ok you seem to be distracted today?” Suga gave him a thumbs up and as Daichi nods and gets ready to continue his warm up Suga stops him and says “Hey Dai question for you”

Daichi stops and looks back at him and says “yeah what is it?”

Suga clears his throat and talks softly “who do you think there team mom is?”

Daichi looks at him confused and says “what do you mean by team mom?”

Suga sighs and says “you know like the one who keeps them in check and makes sure there doing what there supposed to be doing and keeping them in check something like that”.

Daichi says “wouldn’t that be Oikawa? He is there teams captain after all”

Suga hm's but doesnt get to continue since there practice game was starting and they where going onto the court. So Daichi had went on to great the other captain and get into position.

Suga stood by the bench as Kagiama walked by him and said “If your looking for someone that keeps there team in line I’d say that would be Iwaizumi-San”. Suga glanced at the first year as he went onto the court and figured that he might be right so he kept an eye on the ace of the other team and had determined Kagiama was right. He gets after Oikawa and tends to deal with the other members of the team and the blond tennis ball haired angry boy seemed to listen to him the most.

After the game Suga got up from his spot on the bench and walked over to Iwaizumi. Oikawa watched him with curious eyes as Suga went up to there ace and says “Can I speak to you for a moment?”

Iwaizumi had been in the middle of scolding Makki and Mattsun since they decided it was a good idea to start a prank war that lead to the two of them to get into a rare fight. He turned to Suga and says a bit harsher than what it should’ve been “What?”

Suga scratches the back of his head and repeats his question from before as Iwaizumi nods at him. Suga turns to head for the door of the gym to go a little more private as he turns on his foot and says to Iwaizumi who was still standing in his place by the bench “well are you coming?”

Iwaizumi stairs at him as Makki pushes him forward and he turns to glare back at him and huffs continuing to walk forward to follow the third year setter. He’s never really talked to him before he thinks Oikawa has since he talks about him a little bit and calls him Mr. Refreshing so he wassn't quit sure why he was being called to talk to him.

Suga went behind the gym looking around and says “Do you know why your here?”

Iwaizumi raises an eyebrow and says “Not exactly unless I did something to offend you I have no idea why your asking to talk to me I thought you would be more interested in speaking with Oikawa”.

Suga says “nope Oikawa and I talk but I believe you fit more of the bill Mr. Team Mom”.

Iwaizumi glares at him and says “I am nobodies mom did shittykawa tell you about the stupid locker room thing?”

Suga snorts and says “no idea what your talking about I just meant it as a respect to you since it seems like you keep your teams chaos under control”.

Iwaizumi scratches the back of his head with an apologetic look and says “umm... sorry and thanks I think anyways if that’s all imma just head back”. Turning to leave Suga stops him and says “no no no actually I would like you to come to my house this weekend with a few other people”.

Iwaizumi looks at him questioningly and says “We’ve never really talked before?”

Suga says “yeah I know just please come oh and give me your number so I can message you the address and you can’t back out”.

Iwaizumi says “I never said I was going”. Suga looks at him with begging eyes and says “please I will let you stay the night and provide meat or whatever you would like to eat”.

Iwaizumi can’t keep from releasing a small laugh and says “ok no need to go that far and as for food I prefer fried tofu not meat if that’s ok with you and anyone else you have coming to whatever this sketchy get together is”.

Suga looks at him and then just smiles and hugs him and says “thank you thank you thank you now let’s go get our phones and exchange numbers before we forget”. Iwaizumi doesn’t know what to do and feels a bit awkward when Suga hugs him but they proceeded to heading back to the gym.

Suga ran over to his bag in a hurry and pulling out his phone and going over to Iwaizumi who got his phone from the bench and walked over to him. As they exchanged there numbers both teams looked at them confused and surprised just wondering what they had talked about.

Daichi says “hey Suga it’s time to get going”. Suga turns to leave and as he heads for the door he turns half way to Iwaizumi with a small wave says enthusiastically “see you this weekend Iwaizumi”.

Iwaizumi waved back and gives a silent nod. After Karasuno had left the gyms silence was broken by Oikawa who was acting dramatic and says “WAH! Iwa- Chan your hanging out with Mr. Refreshing this weekend no fair why?”

Iwaizumi says “I’m not sure”. Starting to clean up the gym as he kept getting bombarded with questions he wasn’t sure what the answers where to some of the questions.

Suga hoped off the bus excitedly ignoring his teams questions and antics as he got ready to go home happy to have only one more day before the weekend. He practically ran home as he went to eat, shower, and then just watch TV before going to bed that night.

Chapter Text

Suga woke up that morning in excitement. He was finally going to have his first meeting of the mom squad the name he decided to give them. He decided to invite Semi Eita from Shiratorizawa to his little meeting also. It seemed to go over better with the other setter than it seemed everyone else. Now he was just waiting for the others to arrive.

He practically jumped out of his seat and ran to the door when he heard the doorbell ring in excitement as he swung it open with just a bit of to much force. He smiled brightly at Semi who gave a swift “hey am I late?” Suga giggled “not at all actually your the first one to arrive my fellow setter!” Semi nodded and carried his stuff in.

Suga was just about to shut the door when he herd “hold up Sugawara- San we are here”. Suga turned and smiled “glad you both could make it and please Akaashi just call me Suga Sugawara- San just sound way to formal”. He let the two inside so they could set down there things as he glanced out the door to see if the Seijoh ace was coming at all. When he didn’t see him he shut the door and went in to hang out with his guest.

Things seemed to be going well it had been a half n hour and there still wasn’t any signs of Iwaizumi no text or calls. Maybe he wasn’t planning on coming at all? That was a bit depressing in the back of Suga's mind but he figured maybe the ace had more important things to do…

Another ten minutes passed they where all laughing and having fun when they heard the doorbell ring. Suga got up grabbing his wallet and the cash turning to look at the others “probably the delivery guy with our food I’ll be right back” the three gave him a thumbs up and Yaku loudly stated “great I’m starving thanks Suga”.

Suga walked to the door opening it and getting ready to pay but was surprised to see not the delivery person but Iwaizumi. Iwaizumi looked a bit warm out and disheveled with his clothes rumpled in weird ways “sorry I’m late unless this thing isn’t going on?” Suga looked the other up and down as his mind started racing thinking the other might’ve gotten hurt or something “Are You OK Did You Get attacked or something!?” The others peeked there heads around the corner and Simultaneously said “Attacked? Are you ok?” The three looked between themselves and if it wasn’t a serious incident they would’ve laughed at the unison they shared in that moment. Iwaizumi held a hand up for the four to stop while face palming and releasing a soft groan “no not at all don’t get the wrong idea Oikawa was being an ass when I was trying to come here and we fell onto the ground and then I took off running here when I had the chance”. Suga released a sigh in relief “that’s all?” Iwaizumi nodded and repeated “that’s all… May I come in now?”

Suga shuffled to the side to let the other through he noticed the delivery guy pull up as he yelled into the house “be right there foods here!” He waited for the guy to get up there so he could pay and collect the food. After a few minutes he entered the living room with the food “Pizzas Here!”

Suga walked over and set the boxes down onto the table and opened them to grab his piece “sorry Iwaizumi we ordered before you got here and it kinda felt like you weren’t coming”. Iwaizumi waved his hands as he tried stopping the other from ranting on “no I understand I got here pretty late”.

They all started eating feeling a bit awkward and unsure what to talk about. They were pretty thankful Suga brought up watching a movie while they ate. After the movie is when things went back to being a bit awkward and Suga decided to break the ice “so welcome to the mom squad everyone!” They all looked at him with questioning looks Semi was the one to speak up within the confusion “so uhm what do you mean by mom squad exactly?” Suga had a mischievous smile plastered on his face as he answered the other boys question “well we all have fairly chaotic teams and we are usually the ones that get after or stop them from doing something stupid!” Iwaizumi rubbed his forehead with his pointer finger in frustration as he looked at Suga. Akaashi waved to get the others attention and sooted forward a bit “wouldn’t that title fall to the captains though?” Suga shook his head and laughed “does any of your captains actually stop the disasters that is your teams antics?” The group shook there heads Iwaizumi spoke up with “usually he's the one causing a lot of the problems” which got everyone else to agree with him. Suga got there attention again by yelling “Exactly!” Clearing his voice he saddled back down “while Daichi doesn’t always do that he doesn’t always help with it and that’s why we are the moms we have the most issues and our teams can cause stress. So we are the mom squad because we deal with it and have the most stress and we can vent to each other and hang out without worry that someone will do something dumb”.

They all agreed with Suga and thought it couldn’t hurt to have a bit of fun with new people that would also somewhat understand what there going through on there teams. Semi looked at Suga directly in the eyes after the movie “Honestly when you invited me I thought you where dragging me to some drinking fest or something”. Suga snorted “what! Yeah that’s the total reason I invited you maybe next time we can”.

They all laughed at the comment Iwaizumi shook his head “let’s wait till we are of age to drink alright”. “I wouldn’t mind a drink or two next time” they all turned there heads towards Akaashi with shock on there faces. “What?” Yaku was the first to speak after Akaashi's comment “Okay you are the last person I’d expect to say that”. Akaashi gave an unamused look towards the shorter “we have drank together and none of you can say you’ve never had alcohol I’m sure you’ve all tried it” Semi and Suga both nodded in dismay knowing they wouldn’t win. Yaku looked away in his own disappointment. “I actually haven’t had alcohol before”. Suga snorted “yeah sure you don’t have to pretend with us we’ve all had it before not like where doing drugs” he looked at the raven haired ace who had a serious face. Suga's smile dropped “No way never like ever?!” Iwaizumi nodded “my mom doesn’t have alcohol in the house and I don’t feel right drinking at my friends houses”. Semi patted him on the back “I guess we know who the most responsible one here is”.

They all laughed at that. Suga wiped his nonexistent tears from his eyes “here’s an idea how about a game of truth or dare?” They all gave him a skeptical look and glanced around at each other before nodding and agreeing to play.

Suga smiled “Great! Alright hmmm who will my first victim be?” Yaku snorts “your first victim!” Suga nods with a smile tapping his chin “got it let start out strong with the ace of the moms Iwaizumi truth or dare”. Iwaizumi felt unsure he’s played with Makki and Mattsun and knew there dares sucked so he always went truth as they asked him stupid questions and had a feeling Suga would ask something more embarrassing “well I don’t trust you with truth so I guess dare can’t be that bad?” Suga smirks “you sure you want dare?” Once Iwaizumi gave him his approval Suga leaned back “I dare you to go put the maid dress that’s on my bed on with the kitty ears and wear it for the rest of the night”. Iwaizumi's mouth fell open as he choked out “you don’t actually have a maid dress on your bed do you?” Everyone looked at Suga expectantly. He smiled at them and nodded.

Iwaizumi stood up to head for the others room holding strong as Suga yelled him directions. Once there he was shocked to see the outfit along with a few others that where just as embarrassing. He started stripping as his face flushed a light pink in embarrassment.

Akaashi sat back waiting for the other to come back “you and Iwaizumi don’t exactly have the same figure what if it doesn’t fit?” Suga chuckled and held a finger to his lips in a shushing gesture “it’ll fit”. Yaku choked out “you really prepared for this game didn’t you?” Suga smirked as he heard the door down the hall open and a shout “Hey Suga I’m not to sure about this outfit I don’t actually have to wear it all night do I?” Suga yelled back “Yes you do it’s a dare! Do you need help getting it on?” No answer from Iwaizumi came for a few minutes before a soft “yes” that was just loud enough to hear echoed down the hallway. Suga stood up “be back soon”. Leaving the others to talk amongst themselves.

Suga entered the room expecting a disaster to be going on but what he got was a slumped over Iwaizumi who was bending over to pull up nylons that went with the outfit. “Well your looking great what do you need help with?” Iwaizumi glanced over his shoulder his ears starting to turn red “the zi zipper and Bo bow in the back.” Suga nodded walking over and helping him finish getting the outfit on “do I have to wear the shoes or can I leave them off?” Suga nodded “Yeah you can leave them off but wear them out to the living room for me okay? And wait till I say you can come out okay?” Iwaizumi raised and eyebrow at him as the other put his hands together “please” Iwaizumi sighed before agreeing to wait.

Suga rushed back out getting questioning looks from the others as he grabbed his phone and yelled for Iwaizumi to come on out! Minutes later Iwaizumi came out holding the bottom of the skirt face a bright crimson on his tan skin as he walked into the room stumbling slightly not really accustomed to heals. Iwaizumi looked at Suga and down at his phone “ar are you recording!” He screeched out he felt like he was Oikawa when he freaked out maybe to much time together. Suga laughed “nope I just ended it I’m taking photos now”

Iwaizumi reached for the phone to stop him. When Suga pulled away and tossed the phone behind him Iwaizumi’s shoe slipped causing him to fall quit hysterically. After he sat up and glared at Suga. Suga clapped his hand once to get attention “alright Iwaizumi your turn” Iwaizumi moved back to his spot cursing under breath “Yaku truth or dare?” Yaku leaned back “nice thighs and arms by the way oh and I guess dare”. Iwaizumi moved his legs under him and attempted to pull the skirt down more to keep it from showing “I dare you to uhmm text you crush that your crazy in love with them and you’d like to make out next time you see each other about them and show the group”

Yaku choked “ha jokes on you I’m not dating anyone” Semi laughed “haha very funny he said crush not who your dating!” Yaku grumbled “do I keep messaging after they respond?” The whole group nodded Suga and Semi both having matching smirks.

Yaku pulled out his phone taking a deep breath he opened his messaging app and clicked on the picture of a giraffe that was his contact picture for Lev.

Yaku- Hey Lev can I say something to you

Lev is online

Lev- Sure Yaku San but you know this is typing not talking right?

Yaku- Shut up Lev and if you message back something about talking I’ll kick your ass and have you work on your receives on Monday

Lev- 😱I’m sorry Yaku San…

Lev- What do you need?

Yaku sighed looking up from his phone looking at the anticipation in the others eyes before drawing his attention back to his phone.
Yaku- Lev I’m like super 😍crazy in love with you!😻

Lev- 😯😵💫

Yaku- and the next time I see you I want to make out with you 😤 like crazy 😘

Lev- Really 🤔

Yaku- Yes… got a problem with that🤨

Lev- No I think I’d like to also make out with you?😙

Yaku- 🙃why is there a question mark in there?

Lev- I uhh don’t know I’ll kiss you later bye!

Yaku glared at his phone before holding it out to the group. Akaashi looked at the home and back to Yaku I didn’t realize you had a thing for Lev?” Yaku grumbled “yeah so what Semi truth or dare”. Yanking his phone away hiding a slight blush from his conversation with Lev. Semi sat up and leaned forward “yeah I’m going with truth I’ve seen how these dares are going and don’t feel like texting my crush or ending up like Cinderella here” as he lazily pointed at the two. Iwaizumi and Yaku both glared at him. Yaku leaned forward “alright what’s your kink?”

Semi gave a questioning look “my what” Yaku smirked “you know your kink like what turns you on and it can’t be like porn or a person it’s something that turns you on that doesn’t usually turn others on”. Semi blushed brightly looking away “I- I like to be do- dominated…” Yaku smirks “oh yeah thanks for sharing your turn”.

Semi glanced at Akaashi “truth or dare?” Akaashi cleared his voice “I will go with truth” Semi sighed he was really hoping for dare and didn’t think of a truth so he said the first thing that came to mind “if you had to date someone on your team who would it be and while this isn’t a dare please show a picture if you have one” Akaashi reached over to his bag grabbing his phone and began scrolling through his phone and holding it out “I would date my captain his name is Bokuto Koutarou” Yaku says “and here I was thinking you’d go with Konoha then again Bokuto is hot”. Iwaizumi looked at the picture leaning back “I agree with Yaku I don’t know who Konoha is but Bokuto is definitely hot”.

Akaashi set his phone down “so Suga truth or dare” Suga excitedly said “Dare!” Akaashi nodded “I dare you to text Daichi without any clarifications Lets do it in the club room If he gets the wrong idea cover it up with studying or something and share with the group”.

Suga turned and grabbed his phone that he pushed away and opened his contact to Daichi.

Suga- Let’s do it in the club room

Daichi- What?

Suga- Let’s do it in the club room🥵

Daichi- wha but we aren’t even dating shouldn’t we do it in more of a proper order

Suga- What? 🧐

Daichi- you wanna do it in the club room

Suga- Yeah I’m talking about studying 📖

Daichi- huh oh Oh shit sorry I uhh 😬

Suga- Dai you got a dirty mind huh

Daichi- wha no it’s the way you said it!

Suga- right sure keep telling yourself that 🙄

Suga went offline

Suga looked up from his phone chuckling and holding it out to the others “this is too much fun!” The continued playing truth or dare a while longer while eating chips and things and after a few hours of games and snacks they turned on a movie that they all ended up falling asleep during. Iwaizumi was on the floor curled up with the maid dress on and blanket draped over him. Semi was on the couch half naked from a dare while Suga and Yaku where wearing matching bunny outfits in recliners opposite to each other and Akaashi in a kimono on the other side of the couch.

It’s been a week since The Whole mom squad get together and they had all agreed on meeting up again with all the fin they had. Well Iwaizumi could debate that some of the stuff they did wasn’t very fun or it was fun to the others and not him there where a few things he wished he could forget but they all managed to remind him of it.

It was now Wednesday evening the middle of the week and they just ended practice for the night. Iwaizumi helped Kindichi and Kunimi well mostly Kindaichi since Kunimi managed to sneak away so he didn’t have to help clean up or exert anymore energy than he really had to. While the rest of the team went to the club room to get changed.

Mattsun and Makki where talking amongst themselves when they saw Iwaizumi's phone light up with a message from a group chat labeled: Mom Squad😵💫😴

Suga- Yo ya bitches done with practice

Suga- We should meet up in Tokyo next Kaashi is your place open… or Yaku's? 🧐

Yaku- Not happening nope definitely no Akaashi's place it is!

Akaashi- 🙃

Semi- Ha love how he got nominated

Suga- After Kaashi it’s Semis place

Semi- wait what 😰 but I live in Shiratorizawa's dorm

Akaashi- That works perfectly no backing out 🔪🙃

Semi-🧎🏼

Makki burst into laughter as he scrolled thru his friends phone. His reasoning for the invasion of privacy is that it technically isn’t an invasion since Iwaizumi just so happened to leave it out of his own volition. Mattsun glanced at him with an amused worried look. While Oikawa walked over “you shouldn’t look at Iwa's phone”.

Makki smirked “did you know that Iwaizumi has a group chat with a Shiratorizawa member in it”. Oikawa screeched as he scrambled to the bench “who is it it isn’t Ushiwaka is it it better not be him or I’ll I’ll I don’t know what I’ll do but it won’t be pretty!” Makki shook his head “I think it’s there setter uh there name in the chat is Semi” Oikawa glared at the device in his friends hands and says “what group chat?”

Mattsun took the phone from Makki “it’s called the Mom Squad? It looks like it has Sugawara from Karasuno and a Yaku and Akaashi don’t know who they are oh there looking for Iwaizumi ” the three of them surrounded the phone watching the messages come in.

Yaku- yo Zumi ya there I saw you come online but you haven’t messaged yet

Suga- Oh did someone have a bad day your team being to pushy you can always come to mine if ya want
Akaashi- Suga why would he go to yours?

Semi- Suga I’d rather deal with two no eight Shirabus fighting Goshiki than go to Karasuno's team

Yaku- wow how did it go from 2 to 8 like that but seriously Suga aren’t you trying to make his day better not worse?

Suga- 😃😁😃

Suga- Wow Rude

Makki panics and ends up typing a message to the group chat

Iwa- Oh uh hey sorry was a bit busy kawa was complaining…

Oikawa screeched “the hell I wasn’t complaining why would you send that!?” Makki and Mattsun laughed and said in basically unison “we gotta sound like Iwaizumi” they looked at each other with wide smirks before just nodding and both saying bro. Oikawa pouted as he turned his head back to the phone gesturing them to continue like the others would be able to hear him on the other side if he spoke.

Suga- oh yeah don’t let him get to ya too much

Suga- actually I was thinking we should have mom names 😜

Akaashi- what do you mean mom names?

Yaku- ^

Semi- ^

Iwa- ^

Suga- ya know like Kaashi could be mama owl🦉 and Yaku could be Mommy Cat 🐈

Suga- Semi could be eagle mom or something?

Semi- oh uhmm that’s okay and you sorta left out Iwa in that mix

Suga- 😞 I know I wanted to call him Mama bear or Mama Wolf but that doesn’t really go with him I guess

Yaku- You guess?

Akaashi- does the name really need mom or mama in it I mean we could be called wild beast tamers or something?

Suga- !!!

Suga- I got it Zumi could be That bad ass Maid with cat ears that cleans up the mess of his team!

Iwa- Isn’t that a bit long and why maid of all things?

Suga- 🧐😏Oh Zumi don’t tell me you forgot about this weekend already how bout a reminder

Suga sent a photo- Insert photo of Iwaizumi in maid dress here

Yaku sent a photo- with him in his maid outfit and Suga in his outfit

Makki, Mattsun, and Oikawa’s mouthes fell open as the photos popped up. They all had blushes from ear to ear leaving none of them to notice a tired first year enter and look in curiosity at what his upperclassman where doing. Iwaizumi wasn’t that much farther behind “what are you all doing?”

Kindaichi moved to his locker a plaster of red spread across his face. Oikawa started crying and grabbing on to Iwaizumi’s arm “Iwa Chan how could you your so mean I wanna see it in reality not a stupid picture!” Iwaizumi had a look of confusion spread across his face before seeing his phone in Makkis hand with Mattsun standing idly by.

Iwaizumi looked at his phone and then back at Makki and did so a few more times. Makki scratched the back of his head “Maid dresses huh you look good it really shows off your figure” chuckling softly and looking away. Iwaizumi snatched his phone quickly looking at the messages turning a few shades redder and then glaring at his friends. It wasn’t as intimidating as it should’ve been thanks to the blush that had spread all the way to the tips of his ears.

He pulled a whining Oikawa off of him before changing quickly and leaving without a single word.

Oikawa glared at the door his best friend just left thru and if looks could kill the door would be demolished into nothing more than splinters. Makki whistled “ya know kawa this mom squad could be trouble for you ya know what I mean Mattsun?” Mattsun glanced at the pink haired boy and gave a curt nod and looked towards Oikawa who had finally moved and was now moving fast towards Makki.

Makki didn’t even get the chance to move before a hand was slamming down next to his head and Oikawa a bit to close for comfort “And what do you mean by that Makki?” Tilting his head innocently to the side with a blank face.
