Chapter 1: receival
Chapter Text
Wilbur sat in his office. It was newly built as was most of his surroundings, the colourful Dutch buildings surrounding the border of the island where the beach met the shore. In the early spring- when the snow hadn't yet melted but when most of the song birds had come back from migration; there would be storms that would rock the ocean so much the waves would reach half way up the back of the houses and sometimes more and on those nights Wilbur found himself awake just as he was now.
Sat In Front of him was a feather quill and a piece of parchment paper. Above that was an opened letter signed with neat handwriting, W.S. The brunette had been here for hours staring at it- unopened and sealed until this very moment. He was analyzing the handwriting, the way the 'L's' were tilted, the neatness of the dotted 'I's' down to the quick yet so perfect way the periods were brushed upon the page. Like a painter putting the utmost effort onto the eye shines on a portrait; they stuck out to him.
The newly found president of Newfoundland sat looking still at this letter. It was a simple letter of a request in allyship from the distant country of L'manberg, something he was used to but this time it was different. It just felt off but not in a way it had before with false allyships to places such as the Arctic empire or business bay- no this felt odd– a special kind of odd; 'why put so much effort into a simple letter of correspondence?' he thought to himself.
The rain beat down onto the thinly coated window panes as he shakily grabbed the feather from the ink pot. He wasn't nervous! He couldn't be! It was such a simple letter after all, it was probably just a draft coming in from the windows… windows of which were shut. Anyways he grabbed the feather, he knew how to respond to it- he'd responded to hundreds of letters similar in nature to the one sent to him before but never has he actually felt like he had to put effort into a response.
He quickly yet carefully started writing out a letter, he made sure his handwriting was neat and spotless. Not a single stray splatter of Ink onto the parchment. It started out as." Dear president Wilbur soot of the country known as lman-" too wordy and way too formal, yet this was the first time they had spoken. He picked up a new piece of parchment paper and lit another candle and wrote again "Dear president soot of L'manberg. I humbly accept your offer but in exchange I would like to know some of what you could share with my country. And what your country looks like. Paintings, pictures etc would be acceptable." Very boring start.
He went on for hours into the morning writing this letter, by sunrise all the songbirds had returned for the spring and all of the damage done by the storm the night before had subsided. In front of Wilbur was a two page letter detailing how he would accept on the condition that they exchange detailed overviews of their countries and each other's policies and personalities. As per protocol of course, definitely not the brit clawing for any Information about this mysteriously perfect man.
He signed the letter. William Sootings. The "I '' is dotted with a spade symbol, as was custom by him. He made sure the handwriting was his best before finding an envelope, some lavender from a nearby bush and a coin and putting them all neatly into the small package. He sealed it up and sent it on its way.
The next few days he spent toiling away on his small island, playing with his many dogs and receiving small updates from other alliances he had formed; but during the lukewarm early spring nights he couldn't draw his mind away from that letter. For some odd reason it never left his mind.
The brunette stared out to the skyline, the sun only starting to rise over the horizon and illuminating the dark grey creases in his bomber jacket and reflecting off of the small patch he sewed onto it. The colours lighting up the beautiful pink white and green flag.
And he was calm.

Chapter Text
The president woke up. The early morning dew had just set upon the grass as he got out of bed, he wasn't well rested- his hair was messy and even more so his uniform. The night before there was a small party. Him, Eret, Jack, Niki and Puffy went out drinking and he ended up being awake until three AM. Then again, two hours of sleep wasn't so bad. It was much better than the nights he had in the war.
He quietly walked over to his wardrobe, a copy of his usual attire was there sitting lazily on the hanger there, a symbol of some symphony he was burnt out with writing, he stopped writing it some time ago, the bridge not sounding right or maybe it was just the way the conductor went about swinging his baton. He couldn't tell anymore.
His eyes bounced around the inside of the wardrobe before settling on a suit he hadn't yet worn. It was a light navy suit and next to it a white blouse and a red tie. On the suit itself there was a pattern of buttons that textured the sleeves and the shoulders had pads on the outside of them that were golden in colour but copper in metal- In fact the gold paint was so thin a drape of his finger across it would cause a tear and the true metal to be revealed. It was coupled with navy dress pants and when he put it all on he looked amazing.
He forgot where he got it or who gave it to him but it still fit quite loosely; he sighed and walked away from the mirror down the steps and to his mailbox. Shuffling through the threats from dream and junk mail for various scams his vice President got up to, in the mess of it all he found a uniquely sealed letter. A dog was the seal and the stamp was that of a country he didn't recognize. Yet the face on it looked eerily similar, he opened the letter right there and then, out of it fell a small stock of lavender and a coin, both of which he picked up. He stared at them for a moment before reading the letter. And suddenly last night all came back to him.
Wilbur sat there, his hair undone and up on a bar counter. Noise surrounded him from all sides and a spilled bottle of wine next to him, he was just dared to write a letter to a random country he never heard of to ally with them. Under all circumstances he would've never done this but he wasn't sober and neither were any of the citizens around him. Except maybe the barkeeper. So he did as told and grabbed a piece of parchment paper out of his pocket and began to write as eloquently as possible, for the joke of it all.
Now he was standing here looking at the fruit of his labour, a beautiful yet hastily written response. Usually he wouldn't mind something like this but it felt odd holding the grey tinted paper that felt soft against his war torn hands. He read through it carefully tracing his hands over the ink lined words scrawled upon the paper.
He didn't know why he was so intent on understanding this letter fully but it intrigued him. Too much.
He went back up to his house and grabbed his old camera to take some small pictures of what his country looked like. The newly built shore side to the walled capital. One or two pictures of Fundy and a small one of himself and the rest of his citizens.
After spending the day taking pictures of his land the brunette went back inside, he sat down at his desk and as the night slowly crept In he lit a candle which illuminated the paper In front of him. Reading through it one last time before thinking of what he could offer him, land? No, resources? Maybe… protection definitely not. The only thing they had were the swords they carried everyday and the armour they wore into battle all that time ago.
He quickly shook the thought away before writing again. He didn't want to think about that now. The president lifted the feather up and delicately onto the parchment, it's colour reddened by the redwood trees he so marvelously loved. He touched his quil down onto it and began to write.
Dearest president sootings of Newfoundland.
Thank you for your letter, attached are pictures of my country– of which you asked of me, and also pictures of me and my people. I assure you I can offer you resources of redwood and salmon, our national animal. I can also provide military aid and also vouches for other affairs in world politics. And just general aid to you in any way necessary. As custom for presidents. As he wrote that final sentence he felt his pulse raise slightly in a need to justify. He didn't know why he was nervous about this, it wasn't his first time writing a letter like this and he had never had this much anxiety before.
He took a breath before continuing
Anyways, thank you for the lavender and the currency. I shall keep it. In return though I expect you to do the same. To tell me your countries strengths and weaknesses as well as pictures.
And he signed it.
Primespeed- W.S
The brunette took a last long sigh of relief before folding the letter all so sweetly and grabbing a hand-crafted envelope and putting the pictures, a peony and the letter itself into it before closing it with a l'manberg wax seal. Red.
He walked slowly, his heart pounding as he got to his letterbox, taking a long deep breath before placing the envelope so delicately sealed Into the box and hoping for the best.
The rest of the night felt like an anxious blur, staying up til dawn waiting for the postman to give him a letter back from this new acquaintance of his. He didn't know why he felt like this, this country, Newfoundland, seemed… small and unimportant in the scheme of things but it felt alive as well. The president himself had a way with words that made his head blur in a way he couldn't recognise.
But now it was time to put thoughts to rest and wait for morning.
Only sunrise would tell.

Chapter Text
Cold, isolating, mornings were not uncommon on the island. In fact they were normal. Wilbur never had any issue with this of course; it was normal to him at this point. The man was very much used to the snowy mornings and the quiet nights, evenings, midday’s and mornings on the island. He'd always thought it safer that way.
It was lonely though, so lonely. He had pee dog and Sophie would occasionally visit to discuss France and the Arctic empire but it was mostly just him.
And today, like any other day, was the same. The brunette woke up to him shivering again, wrapped in his clothes from yesterday- his black bomber jacket with patches sewn onto it wrapped him like a blanket and his white short sleeve underneath. He held a pillow close to him in his arms for warmth. As some sort of mannequin of care he falsified for himself, like someone to tell him he's safe.
His eyes opened and he saw his ceiling and his windows, those of which were cracked slightly from the storm, his roof didn't fare well either, water seeping in over him dampening his already stone-cold bed.
He sat up, holding himself slightly as he put his jacket back on- looking outside his window the brunette saw white swirling against his window in an almost opaque consistency. He could barely see the bright colored buildings he created with no one living in them. They probably had better central heating then the shack he currently called home.
He stood up and walked to his front room, grabbing his blanket and wrapping it around his chattering head and shivering body. The man grabbed a flint and steel and lit his fireplace, it took a few minutes for it to light-his hand getting consecutively more roughed up as he scrapped the flint against the sharp surface of the shining steel.
He sat back on his cold chair and grabbed the few letters he was sent that sat on the side of his table. One was from business bay, the handwriting being shotty and filled with swears, which he laughed at. And another few from pacle and AE discussing agreements and trades. And then he saw it. His golden ticket- or envelope in this sense.
It smelled like honey and felt warm on his yet-to-be frostbitten finger tips. The wax sealing was perfect too, centered well and wax bearly spilled out. He sliced the stamp off delicately and put it on his side table in a small container he held them in. He liked to keep each of the letters he got seals.
He opened the letter and saw the very same beautiful handwriting. His heart thumped harder than it did before reading it. Five pictures fell out of the envelope, two of the country itself, he marveled at the walls and the seaside, he thought it looked beautiful. He saw a few pictures of a fox he didn't recognise, he looked annoyed. And then a large picture of the citizens of this country and in large red marker in the very same handwriting hand an arrow and circle pointing to a man in the centre right. Off to the side slightly there was a very clear "ME" written very boldly covering a bald man's face.
He chuckled slightly at the pictures realising that the president he was talking to looked…..nice, more than nice, he looked well dressed and kept together, smiling wide yet not strained. He looked marvelous. He stopped himself for thinking any further before pulling out a small peony from the envelope- the brunette blushed slightly at it. Recognising its meaning before putting it safely behind his ear, poking out of his hair.
He was flattered, really, with the message sent before he read any of the letter. Finally he opened it and smiled, reacquainting himself with the beautiful written and dictated words placed so delicately on the page like it was nothing. He ran his eyes over it multiple times before lightly gripping the paper and leaning back on his chair. Holding it to his chest.
He sighed deeply to himself, happy that his message was accepted. A shaky smile quickly spread across his face as he looked at the picture of the duel president once more.
He smiled and sighed, the picture was warm. Despite it not having any heat whatsoever it stopped him from being cold. It brought him joy just looking at him.
And then he realised what he was doing, he laid over his chair and set the letter and picture down on his table before putting his arm lazily over his eyes and yelling lightly.
He felt himself blushing and hit his face in a sort of "stop it" emotion. The brunette didn't know how to feel really- he couldn't've gotten a crush on a guy he's barely written to. Let alone had an actual conversation with.
His emotions started to swirl about his head, making him think and feel things he's never thought before, "does he like me too?!?", "He must! Nobody writes that well for someone they don't like!" And others swirled around the man's head for hours before he finally sat down at his desk, the light winter sun turning to darkness outside and all but a candle to light up his page.
He swiftly raised the feather into the inkwell and began to write on the light grey parchment. His heart shakey but his hand still wrote the first line.
Dearest president Wilbur soot.
I apologize for not providing pictures at this time. Sadly a storm rolled in last night and snowed me in. Speaking of, I will now describe it to you!
To the east of me writing this is the start of an expansive train line across the region. It goes from one ocean to the other cutting the normal walking/swimming time in half. I built it myself. We also have large pine and spruce trees and wonderful Dutch-esq architecture. We are in the northernmost climate so it's cold year round. As for myself I have a small picture of myself from a month ago attached as well as a broach. As for what we could offer I'd say we have more than enough allies as well as legal resources. And as for personal help you can come to me for general advice as well. It may seem unprofessional but I assure you it is custom here.
GL- William Sootings
P.s you look nice :)
This was one of the worst letters he's written but one of the best he's performed. The strokes are so beautifully marked across the page and the "I''s still dotted with that same spade. The man felt calm as he carefully folded the paper, broach and the photo into the yellow envelope, he poured the red wax onto it and sealed it with the dog emblem he held dear.
He put on his larger coat and grabbed a lantern setting off Into the darkness to his mailbox. Hopefully the snow hadn't covered it yet.
And so he closed the door.

Chapter Text
Wilbur stood in his kitchen and poured himself a coffee. He slept well last night, surprisingly enough. He had 6 hours of sleep which was a record for him. Usually he would have 3-2. He knew it wasn't good but he just had so many projects he stayed up thinking about. And so many threats from people that worried him. Dream, sapnap, punz even. It kept him awake at night; he didn't even know who or why he brought eret of all people drinking with him.
He poured the coffee into his cup, the brown murky water smelling lovely in the morning. The president walked up to the roof of his house and sat down. Watching the sunrise slowly; 2 hours later he saw a postman running past putting the letters in his box quickly before moving on. Wilbur jumped off of his roof and quickly rummaged through it to find what he was seeking. That light yellow envelope that smelled like seasalt, Lavender and candle wax.
He stumbled quickly Into his office and closed the door quickly behind him before reading. He had been anticipating this letter for a while, the mail had recently slowed down causing about a day or so delay, and in that time he wrote three more letters- he'd write them in-between meetings and signing documents. Just to do something, he didn't know why it was the first thing he thought of doing in his free time- he quite liked his new pen pal and once he read his new letter and looked at the man's photo that question was soon answered.
The next few months became a back and fourth of them giving updates to one another, the Newfoundland president growing warmer by the day and l'manberg's conductor writing out more of his symphony.
And...saying that their letters got more personal and intimate would be an understatement.
"Thank you for the exchange my dearest, ally… I am very much delighted that you responded to my letter."
"Oh my Wilbur, you don't have to resort to formal meanings and titles. Dearest friend is much more suitable."
These eventually evolved into much more informal and...caring letters sent to each other hourly. Waiting hours felt like waiting weeks for a response, the longing became more potent and more noticeable by each other's citizens.
Until then.
"Wilbur, my dearest. I am delighted to say that I will be in the region within the week due to a trade deal. I wish to see you then."
And then he felt his heart stop- rise- and fall

Chapter Text
Wilbur waited the days out patiently, making his country look absolutely stunning in the process- Everything had to be up to specs for his president- the camarvan had to be cleaned out, the bakery would have to get more supplies...for his date ideas of course, and Tommy would have to be nowhere in sight!
...just for safe measure
During all this time though- since the letters started appearing stuffing his mailbox to the point where they flew out- people started to easily notice how much more dramatic he got, which wasn’t odd for him but now it was almost unbearable. Thankfully his vice president gave him hell for it.
And things weren't so different for Will either, he had been packing and longing for days now, each morning he would feel the cold loneliness of the Nova Scotia winter and just long for him to be beside him, holding him close and safe. He'd claw at the empty space in the bed beside him before looking up at the calendar with the date circled in bright red ink and recite to himself the days he had left before he had that comfort, the hours until he felt warm and safe grieved by him roughly.
The hours still ticked on and he felt cold but at the same time hopeful of the days ahead.
And finally he stepped onto the boat. Awaiting arrival.
The next two or so nights were long for both of them. The constant juggling of sea waves across the deck of the ship combined with Will's motion sickness made the trip there more than unpleasant, and Wilburs impatience only grew as the seconds ticked off his mocking clock on the wall. He couldn't sleep.
Thoughts raced all throughout his mind. What if the shipwrecked? Or sank into the briny depths of the ocean? While his thoughts were occupied, his hand laid on his chest, his breath became steadily speedier as he felt, heard and saw his pulse raise. The ticking on the clock only grew louder in his ears, drowning out every thought from before. until eventually his breath slowed and all he could see, do or feel was the clock.
He slowly calmed his nerves. Looking out to the dark horizon from his window he felt his eyes start to droop and blink slower, until finally he fell asleep.
He woke up. His eyes looking over to the rising sun out his window as he smiled softly before realising the date and springing out of bed like a kid at Christmas. He quickly got himself dressed in that very same suit he wore the day of the letter's arrival. By now all of the gold paint had worn off leaving him with slightly green-copper shoulder tassels.
He ran down the stairs and walked over to the docks. There weren't any ships in the distance besides a fishing boat or two. So he sat there on top on an unfinished house roof. Looking out to sea.
He heard people pass him by from below, gawking at him a bit and chuckling to themselves. He didn't mind though after a few hours his eyes and brain started to disconnect from what he was staring at, the ocean and the horizon melted together into one mass as he leaned back and looked up to the sky which looked equally as blurred.
Unlike the past few days the hours pass smoothly across the sky turning it from a morning purple to a light blue. And Wilbur again found himself longing for something, though that something didn't feel like Will. Will felt like home to him, he longed for that sense of comfort that he found within his letters- no this longing was much more violent.
It clawed at him from the inside, but it felt normal to him. He felt the fire burning for something he couldn't name for years now, when he looked in the mirror something looked back at him and those eyes weren't his own. They were red and gleaming and looking at his reflection like this. It looked normal to him.
He quickly jolted up and hopped down to the wood of the docks, he leaned his head over the water and checked.
Brown eyes.
He sighed and leaned up, his back against a barrel and looking out to sea once more. Through the small fishing boats that swamped the shore side, and through the smaller sailboats he saw it.
A beautiful ship, mahogany wood and light grey sails. He wasn't sure it was his but by prime did it look beautiful. He quickly stood himself up as the ship began to sail closer to the dock, his heart began to race as his breathing did as well. He paced along the dock as the ship grew ever closer.
A smile formed on his face as he tried to hide his small hand flaps though his body fought against it. He felt pure joy for the first time in a while, he couldn't stop smiling even if he had to tune it down for formality's sake.
The boat docked to the side of him as the crewmates began to unload the small amount of luggage on board as well as some small crates of fruit and other supplies from islands they stopped at on the way. Once all the luggage was brought off of the boat both of them could feel their hearts pumping with anxiety and anticipation.
Will breathed steadily as he walked down the ramp onto the dock, he held his hands to his chest, one of them latching onto his side bag for something to hold. Despite not needing to anymore. The ground when he stepped off was stable yet damp with the waves, he could feel the anxiety racing up his veins and rippling across his nervous system like a stone chucked into a puddle.
The brunette took a deep breath and turned to the left of him. He saw a man slightly taller than himself wearing a very fitting navy blue suit. His smile was that of the sun and he could feel the kindness emanating off of him.
Wilbur's hand was outstretched for a handshake and as Will walked forwards he dodged the hand and went straight in for a hug. Wilburs eyes widened at the sudden embrace but he took it in and wrapped his arms around him.
"Welcome to L'manberg my dearest" he said, the tallers voice filled with honey yet with a raspiness that the shorter loved. He didn't reply, but he stayed standing there, holding onto him like his life depended on it.
After a few minutes and the ship hoisting it's anchor to leave Will pulled away from the hug with the brightest smile Wilbur had ever seen. The taller raised his hand to cup Wills cheek and softly smiled before lowering it to hold his hand. Will looked up at him and blushed lightly before following him into the main centre of L'manberg.
They walked under a large entryway lined with yellow and black concrete, the blackstone looked cracked and had moss and plants growing and filling those cavities in the wall, and the new arrival was faced with a much older building than he had seen. A van with vines and explosion marks all across it, the glass was cracked and the area around it barren but somehow full of life, flowers blooming all around them and plaques placing where historical battles that seemed so recent to the taller were taking place.
Will let go of his hand momentarily to explore around the place, he walked up the old stairs to the camar van, Wilbur only a few places behind him. The sun's afternoon beams shot down through the tree leaves focusing down onto the vans windows. The man turned around to face the other and the taller nodded, giving him permission to walk into the structure.
He pressed a button indented into the wall and walked into the open iron door. The driver's seat looked dusty and cobwebs covered it. The door to the left of him was off its hinges and laid to the side, through the door was a large table and brewing stands on the sides, dusty yet they still had some liquid potion in them; and as he walked forward he saw a small room in the back, chests filled with old potions and nether warts. During all of their letters to each other one of the longest was the tale of L'manberg- his loves country.
When he received letters detailing the history he didn't know what to think. He knew the other was ok but he worried about him for nights. Wondering if he really did recover after all of that.
Once he returned to the outside of the van his eyes were met with wilburs. "What do you think?" The taller one asked, "it's lovely" the shorter one responded. "Though one thing was odd… There was a framed salmon. Not too sure about what that's about" he laughed a little as he saw the others face get increasingly more red.
He forgot to tell him about Sally, didn't he? "Oh well Tommy had some...interesting tastes in decor" he quickly laughed it off as they walked out of the capital and towards the beach.
Wilbur grew increasingly closer to him and held his hand again, he wasn't worried or scared but he just needed reassurance that he was actually there. It felt like a dream to him, Will thankfully held onto his hand tightly and leaned into his shoulder as they walked towards the bakery.
Wilbur sat down on a nearby bench and Will followed suit sitting down next to him and leaning his head on his shoulder, softly smiling and breathing. The war torn one ruffled through the other's hair, his blistered and scarred fingers ran against the strands of his dark brown hair like an ocean's current, soft yet unstable, his hands shaking slightly. In truth he never told the others about how his hands were never still after the war. It was a miracle he wrote the way he did anyway, it took months of practice.
Will felt the others hands against his hair, combing through it. He felt calm and safe for the first time in a while.
After a few moments of this, they are sitting there enjoying each other's company and not saying a word to one another, Wilbur stood up and told Will to wait while he got something; so he waited, and during that time saw two younger people, one taller one who was blonde and another one with brown hair carelessly carrying up his luggage and laughing about something. One of them- the taller one- looked and sounded quite familiar… He couldn't tell why.
After 30 minutes Wilbur came back with a small box of something. By now the sun was starting to set; Wilbur grabbed his lover's hand and stood him up and held him for a moment. "Come along, I have something to show you."
Will smiled and the taller one grabbed his arm and started running up the hill, quickly running towards his house and stopping in his tracks just before it.
"WHAT THE FUCK??!??!?" Will heard, he peaked out from behind the other and saw a boy, slightly shorter than himself looking very angry and confused, and another one just next to him who was much shorter and confused. It was the two from before.
"Look Tommy I can explain-" Wilbur quickly got out before he was interrupted again "WILBUR. THAT'S- WHAT THE FUCK." "Tommy please-" "NO WILL WHAT THE HELL" the boy soon fell to his knees screaming. "Wilbur is there an issue?" Will finally spoke up and the boy on the floor only groaned. "No it's fine, Tommy stop being homphobic" he said quickly "IM NOT HOMOPHOBIC. I Just Don't Agree With Your Lifestyle Decisions" the other boy, to the left of him looked very confused but was also Keeling over in laughter. "Tommy that sounds homophobic" Tommy stood up slowly and walked towards the older man and put his hand on his shoulder "Wilbur I Mean This With My Full Heart. Why The Hell Are You Dating Yourself-" the other boy fell over wheezing and trying to compose himself after laughing "my lungs hurt-" "Tubbo I Know You Are Dying But Please These Are Official Business Matters" Wilbur walked forward slightly and put his hand on Tommys shoulder, they both were looking intently at each other for a moment before Wilbur spoke "Tommy this is my partner William sootings of Newfoundland. Me and him are not the same" the younger one scoffed and walked backwards slightly "One: You Both Are Assholes. Two: Your British" will walked forward slightly "Well that means that you are also one of us by that logic" silence filled the area for a moment.
"Wilbur 2 I Have Never Felt More Hurt Or Rage Towards Another Living Being" Wilbur looked at him and whispered something Will couldn't hear. At first tommy looked disgusted but then Wilbur whispered another thing into his ear and his eyes lit up. He grabbed tubbos arm and ran "seeyoulaterwilbur" was quickly said by both of them.
Will waited for them two to be out of sight before belting out in laughter. "man, " Wilbur laughed a little at that before they began to walk inside. When Will got inside he saw his bags scattered about indiscriminately.
Wilbur grabbed his hand and took him up the stairs and then carefully out the window onto the roof.
"So what is it you got for me?" Will asked, he was laying back on the roof. It was dark out and the sun had just set on the horizon.
"Oh just some croissants" Wilbur grabbed the small box he got from the bakery and sat it down between them. Will opened the box to see a small cake decorated with a heart. The brunette smiled and sighed.
"I love you too Wilbur"
The other man smiled softly and pressed a button on the floor before going in to kiss him.
When Wilbur felt their lips together it didn't feel real, none of this did. He held his hand close as he wrapped his arm around the other's neck. His lips tasted like coffee and smoke, though he never mentioned smoking before and didn't have any cigarettes on him. Wills lips on the other hand tasted like cherries and ice, if ice had a taste.
And in that moment there was safety and in the next there was light-
Beside the both of them, out above to walls of the abandoned capital were colours, red, blue, white and yellow filled the sky in front of them. Their patterns are each unique in their wake and beautiful all the same. Through the noise of the fireworks and the light scattered around the sky Wilbur stood up next to his love. His heart thumping with anxiety all the same- 'was he really doing this?'
He outstretched his hand to his love and as the other grabbed onto it he reached in his pocket for something. As Will looked into the others' eyes Wilbur stepped back to extend a hand, in that hand were two rings.
A nod, a kiss and crying later they stood on that roof. The fireworks had stopped by then and they were together, holding each other and slowly dancing with one another- no music besides the soft singing of each other's voices harmonizing so kindly with one another.

Chapter Text
The weeks leading up to the wedding were busy and calm, short and grueling, lovely and stressful. It started out with planning, which was easy...ish Will was fine to be wed anywhere but Wilbur was certain for it to be somewhere Will liked-and Will couldn't necessarily return home yet, well he didn't want to either- he didn't not like Newfoundland but it felt desolate and lonely. He knew that it was his own fault that it was that way but he couldn't bring himself to dissolve it. Plus Sophie would have his head. So he knew the second best place to do it, the camar van. Of Course the grass would need to be cut and the flowers pulled from the ground but it would be beautiful.
The weeks following were amazingly stressful. Hundreds of Invitations sent out to at least 3 regions. One of which Will had a hunch was abandoned by now, still they created invitations and through that realised how chaotic this wedding would be and how similar their families were, will being adopted by the Antarctic empire when he was young and Wilbur being the biological kid of Phil, though he know he couldn't show to the wedding. He had much more important things to tend to-
Two days before the wedding. It was a warm morning, Tommy and Wilbur sat on the roof as Will waited patiently in the docking house by the shore, looking at the skyline full of ships, planes and one or two elytras. One of the ships, at the front of the fleet was filled with dogs, leading it was technoblade with Phil in the nest and Sophie at the helm. The ship itself was light blue in colour and had a metal plated exterior used to deal damage to the ice in the cold south.
Next to that only a few meters behind them as a much more shotty ship, the ship was smaller and built with all kinds of cheap wood, plywood was the most common scene, the flag itself was mostly black with a white triangle on the side and a red line. Business bay Tommy led the ship with TimeDeo beside him while Lucas and wisp fought over the wheel which was a reused tire. The ship was named "man-ship for manly men '' painted in red on the side, behind the lettering were flames that were painted on.
Will waved out to the fleet of around 10 ships each one varying in size and crew but all of them set for the same destination. In L'manberg, food stands lined the streets into the town centre, which was a small stage with instruments on it for anyone to play. In the docks each indent was reserved for a nation by a poorly made flag that sort of resembled the nations.
The ocean's tides were calm and the sea salt smelt fresh in the air as the ships grow ever closer. Will was by the docks, in-between where the AE and the business bay reservations were waiting to get bombarded with questions. He had a small flower crown Wilbur made him on and a necklace with the ring draped around his neck as well as his signature jacket and jeans.
His hair was windswept and messy as usual, he would be lying if he said he wasn't worried though. No one knew who he was marrying and it would be weird to say he was basically marrying himself, so he just put their initials on and nothing further but now it was much more pressing.
Wilbur and Tommy sat at the top of his roof throwing rocks down into a nearby pond, Tommy was wearing his usual attire plus a blue cardigan he made for himself and Wilbur was dressed in a nice white button up with his wedding band around his finger.
"This Is Weird Man" the younger said abruptly
"It sort of is actually… I'd never expect company here and especially not like this" he chuckled slightly as he threw another stone into the pond.
"I'd Never Expect You Of All People To Get Married, And Especially Not To Y-" Wilbur interrupted "yourself?" Wilbur pointed down towards the docks where the ships were piling in, noise of gifts and crates were hoisted off of ships to a small drop off area and right where Wilbur pointed there was a blond haired kid and his friends, all dressed in black suits climbing out of a ship. Tommy happily ignored his brother and didn't see the other him.
"Yeah, Why Yourself Man, That's Kinda Fucked. Like How Does That Even Work?" He put his hands out in front of him to emphasize the point.
"What do you mean "how does that work?" "
"I Mean Like- Having The Exact Same Dee Ehn Ayy Must Be Weird For Having Kids"
Wilbur looked over to Tommy and Tommy looked back, Wilburs expression was one of pure disappointment, then he registered the connotations of that and started laughing uncontrollably.
"I Mean Like Wouldn't The Kid Be-"
"TOMMY. "
"Yes Will?"
"WERE BOTH CIS MEN."
"Yeah And? Love Wins" Wilbur took a minute to breathe
"[email protected] how do you think * that * works"
"What Do You Mean *that* I Just Thought That They Take Your Remaining Dee Ehn Ayy After You Die And Put It In A Lab And Splice It The Fuck Together"
".... Tommy what the fuck"
After a few moments of silence Wilbur spoke up again "you know what Tommy? That is how things work"
"Thank Prime."
During all of this the ships were unloading, carrying gifts for the groom and other such things as they started to undock. Will stood patiently as the AE started walking out of the ship Phil stood before him and hugged him tightly as techno gave him a pat on the back. Next was Tommy who ran out of the ship and the minute Will saw him he knew this would be hell. The boy was dressed in his usual attire, a suit with a red tie. He looked smugly at Will before walking over. "AYYYY" he shouted as he ran up and gave him a small punch on the arm. "CONGRATZ MAN! who's the woman?" He asked quieter and suddenly Will thought something 'oh shit' but before he could say anything Phil butted in "Tommy! You can't just ask that, I'm sure we'll meet her soon" Will smiled stiffly "yep! You will definitely meet her!" He looked over to techno who looked happy for him but at the same time slightly uninterested in the conversation.
"Hey techno can i talk to you for a moment"
"Sure i-"
"In private?"
Techno fumbled around before following him to the docking house. Will opened the door and techno followed him in. The house itself was a glorified closet essentially...fitting.
The room itself was filled with cartography tables and fishing supplies and had barrels of fish all around and its walls lined in maps all of which were outdated.
" So techno we have a problem" he said quickly "who's we? I'm pretty fine myself" Will rolled his eyes "techno the issue is that they don't know I'm… uh, gay" techno looked up from what he was doing "well William I am proud of you for telling me this but uh, what do you say when these things happen uh-" Will interrupted "and I need your help to uh just. Calm my nerves I guess. I mean, their going to meet him in the next few minutes and-"
"Woah woah woah, first your telling me your gay, which I don't have an issue with but now your telling me to help you with anxiety?! I appreciate the ask but what about me makes you think I can help with that?" Will scoffed before responding.
"Just please reassure me that this will go smoothly. Also don't judge who I'm marrying" techno laughed a bit "ok, I can only do one of those things at a time and I can't promise anything" Will took a few deep breaths realising what he just did, he tried his best not to let it show but he was panicking badly. Techno looked away from the maps for a moment and saw him there and awkwardly hugged him "it's ok dude, I'm here"
Will calmed down after a few moments, his breathing softened as he held onto the light pink fur of his older brother, after a quick moment techno let go, "ok let's just. Pretend that didn't happen, I need to keep up my epic cool" Will laughed lightly before opening the door and walking out with him "ok techno, see you I'm a moment, I gotta go do something real quick" Will started walking towards the boat and up to the helm where Sophie was just a few minutes ago, next to the wheel though was a familiar yellow collar, and in the collar was a dog that upon seeing its owner tackled him to the floor, knocking off his flower crown and licking his face.
"Pee dog stop it!" He said laughing slightly, he didn't notice the person behind the dog at first but as they walked closer their bright red hair began to shimmer in the sunlight. Will moved up from under the dog and pet it vigorously before looking up. "Oh! Hello" he said quickly before standing up and dusting himself off. "Hi Will, and before you ask, the dogs are fine and also congratulations!" Will smiled "thank you Sophie, uh I need to get going I have a lot to do but it was nice seeing you!" He quickly stood pee dog up before walking off the ship waving his hand goodbye.
As he walked back inland with his dog and his small group of family he saw Wilbur and Tommy hopping off of the roof to come greet them. His heart started racing slightly. What if they don't like him? Why if they think he's weird. And other thoughts surrounded his head. Wilbur approached his husband-to-be smiling while Phil, Tommy and a very unphased techno looked on at him, and then Tommy.
"Will-" Phil tried to speak, his voice sounded confused but before he could Wilbur spoke up. "Nice to meet you all! I'm Wilbur, Wills fiancé and this is-"
"WHAT. THE FUCK." Will took a deep breath and let the suited boy speak. "WILL, YOU DIDN'T TELL ME- WELL IT'S FINE BUT ITS YOU" he yelled out, Will took a deep breath and gritted his teeth. "Yep" was all he responded with. "THIS IS SO FUCKED MAN." And out of the awkward short silence Tommy spoke "I Know Man It's Fucked Up" Tommy took one look at the mirrored version of himself before responding. "YEAH LIKE HOW WOULD THEY EVEN?!" The other Tommy interrupted him
"Yeah I Know Dude It's So..."
"LIKE HOW WOULD THE LAB EVEN EXCEPT THAT?"
"I Know King I Know"
All of them stood there for a moment processing what just happened before Phil spoke up. "Well this is certainly a...surprise but not an unwelcome one!" Wilbur smiled awkwardly, "well it's nice meeting you but we really must get going, I have stuff to set up and clothes to get it's going to be exhausting" he chuckled a little as he finished and began to walk away. He looked back for a moment and nodded to Will, realizing what he meant and followed suit. "bye guys! See you later… I think" He waved goodbye to them before following his love to tubbos to get their clothes.
The other three stood there in shock for a moment before techno broke the silence. "He was nice"
"Techno I don't know how to feel… I mean I'm happy for him but why...him you know"
"ITS SO FUCKED MAN."
techno sighed and walked out in front of them. "Look guys, he's happy, and even if it is a little… weird there's nothing inherently wrong about it" Phil sighed, "I guess we should just- not question it? I mean it isn't doing any harm…``Tommy rolled his eyes. "I GUESS"
Will and Wilbur quickly walked away from them, Wills breathing quickened slightly as they walked, not from being tired but from fear, Wilbur gripped Wills hand tightly and kissed his knuckles, he looked at him lovingly. "Will, it's gonna be ok. I'm here, ok" Will's breathing slowed and he looked at the man he loves eyes and cupped his cheek. "Thank you" he said quickly before kissing him.
They went to tubbos, gripping each other's hands tightly and silently swearing to never let go.
Tubbo gave them the clothes, each wrapped individually so they couldn't see what they had ordered, hopefully they looked ok. They paid Tubbo well and went off back to their house, pee dog following them from behind.
After that they quickly made their way around the small country, getting things set up and meeting people who all had varying reactions to them though the majority were positive. During all of this though Tommy was walking around the docks, getting a good look at all of these giant ships he'd never seen before. The boy sat down at the end of the dock, his legs dangling just above the water as the water rippled below him, he took a deep breath as footsteps trailed up behind him.
"HELLO" the other boy said, standing over him.
"Hey… Do You Think This Is Like...Weird?" The vice president asked, "YES, ITS SO WEIRD." They stood in silence for a few moments, Tommy stood back up and leaned against a dock pilliar looking at his suited-up copy before an idea entered his head- Now Tommy knew how lives worked here, in this region you had three lives and had to keep them, but he didn't know how they worked wherever the hell his brothers fiancé was from.
"Hey.. Other Me?"
"YEAH?"
"What If We Crashed This Wedding, Because We Both Think This Is Weird"
"YES, but how tho?"
Tommy knew the answer "We Assassinate One Of Them!"
The other Tommy thought for a moment.
"WELL WHICH ONE?"
"Yours! Our Lives Are Limited Here."
"OUR LIVES ARE LIMITED THERE TOO?
"Oh Well Then, Goodbye Wilbur!" He said quickly before laughing a bit, he was being sarcastic, of course he was he wouldn't actually like to hurt Wilbur, the other Tommy- annoyed, leaned back against a larger boat which pushed back slightly against his weight. "WHAT IF WE-" "Steal The Rings?" Tommy interrupted, "EXACTLY, BUT FOR THAT WE NEED TO KNOW WHO THE RING BEARER IS"
"Hmm… I Think I Know Who It Is"
A few moments later the two were walking in the direction of Jack Manifold's house with another person walking behind them. "YOU SURE THIS IS THE GUY?"
"Other Me, This Is Jack Manifold Why Wouldn't He Have The Rings"
"AH I SEE YOUR POINT"
They continued walking towards the built up cabin, small groups of people from different countries and factions were sprinkled around the surrounding area, some of them setting up recruitment stalls and others setting up small campsites, but a few gave the boys some odd stares before shrugging it off. They were literally at a wedding where the groom's had the same initials.
As the two approached the building they quickly tried to sort out a plan "So What We Do Right, Is We Threaten Him And Then Kidnap Him" the other Tommy leaned against the door of Jack's house.
"YEAH BUT WHERE DO WE TAKE HIM?"
The other one thought for a moment before responding. "My House! Of Course!" The other nodded and they walked into his house surprising the relaxing Jack Manifold.
"JAAACK MY MAN" the boy wearing the blue cardigan yelled, "AHH WHA-'' he looked taken aback, his 3D glasses slowly falling off his face at the sight. Two vice presidents, standing before him. "WHY ARE THERE TWO OF YOU?"
"I Don't Know Man Skills." Jack nodded at that. "But why are you here?" "JACK, JACK, JACK… WHY ARE YOU ASKING SO MANY QUESTIONS?"
"Maybe We'll Answer Your Questions If You Show Us Where The Rings Are?! HMMM?!" by now the both of them were standing over the man who was slouched down on the couch,
"No! Why would I do that?!" The suited Tommy smiled at that. "DEOOOO!" Jack Manifold looked confused before a boy who looked slightly older than the other two came walking in, he wore a Santa hat and an orange sweater. Sunglasses covered his eyes and the emotion that might've been in them as he drew his sword. "OK OK, THEIR IN THE UPSTAIRS CLOSET."
"Thank You Jack! We Really Appreciate It, Other Me Take Him" the suited boy nodded and struggled to pick up the shaking Jack Manifold.
Once Tommy walked back downstairs with the two wedding rings on his fingers and saw his counterpart holding Jack Manifold under his arm horizontally. He actually looked pretty ok with it.
The group walked out the door and towards the entrance of L'manberg where Tommy's house was. The sun had started to set and the two husbands-to-be headed back to their house and steadily climbed up the stairs, holding each other's hands and looking lovingly into each other's eyes before reaching the roof of the place so sacred to them.
Will sat down and leaned his head against Wilburs shoulder. He sighed and looked out to the setting sun and back to his lover and kissed his cheek, he laughed as the others face glowed light pink after.
"Wilbur, I am so glad you sent me that letter."
"And I'm even happier that you responded"
Will chuckled for a moment "why wouldn't I respond?" Wilbur looked a little embarrassed before continuing "well I wrote it when drunk, it was probably sloppy and incoherent" he said very lamely before giggling a little "what do you mean sloppy, Wilbur, your handwriting is the most beautiful I've ever seen. It entrapped me my dear" he sounded breathless, like he was using every ounce of his strength just to tell him that. "So it was my handwriting that kept you going?" Wilbur responded, "no it's not like that uh- it's you my love, you and your personality that was reflected off of those dotted "I"'s and the slants of the "L"'s that haunted my brain"
Wilbur chuckled slightly at how his love sounded before cupping his face and taking him in for a kiss, after a few moments They pulled apart again and looked at each other intently, "and that as well".
The next morning was busy, Wilbur and Will were rushed apart by their respective friends and family to get ready for the afternoon. Wilbur was rushed into a small shed decorated with white sheets to block out anyone from coming in; inside the tent with him were Niki and Quackity, quackity got the clothes Tubbo had made out of the bag. Niki was focusing on his hair which was more than a mess, brushing through it was a challenge in and of itself.
Will on the other hand was kept in the house, Sophie and sootcharlie helped him get ready, unlike his dearest his hair was much more well kept, surprisingly despite all that time spent alone in the shack on that island he at least kept himself well made.
The Tommy's were guarding Jack manifold, or at least the one who was already in a suit was. The other one was back in the main area getting ready, he had on his L'manberg jacket and underneath a blue button up and dress pants. After begrudgingly getting ready he made his way back to his house where Jack Manifold was being kept, he was being stored in the back closet of Tommy's house locked Inside with sandwiches and water as well as a Nintendo DS. "Guys please let me out, i've finished Pokémon snap 5 times now I'm getting bored." His voice sounded very tired and plain. The other Tommy guarding the door was sitting on a chair, he was fiddling with a chest and looked Inside it.
Inside the chest was a very safely packed disc that he slid out of its wallet very carefully and looked at it. It was very taken care of despite being very old for its age, just as he was taking a look at the disc Tommy began to approach. He quickly slid it back in its wallet and put it away; Tommy walked in, out of breath he sat down on the couch before sighing. His anxiety grew only more when he looked at the stolen rings on his fingers.
"They Are Gonna Find Out, Aren't They?"
"WELL THAT'S THE POINT. THEY FIND OUT AND THEN BLAME EACH OTHER."
Tommy nodded and sighed, "This Should Work- I Think" "IT WILL".
Over In L'manberg Wilbur was still getting ready, his hair now brushed was much longer than he anticipated, it went down past his neck and just under his collarbone, in his hair were flowers placed delicately in the small crevasses of his locks. Quackity had just finished putting the last few pieces of the outfit together and he looked stunning. In the other area, Will was also getting ready, Sophie had done his hair in a slightly similar way but with charms and a small gold band that went around his head like a type of crown. Just from his face alone you could call him angelic, the way his hair clashed with the jewelry put on him by his friends made him look so beautiful. He smiled and he walked into the small dressing booth and began to take the first look at his clothes and put them on.
Wilbur stood with everything on him. His clothes, his hair and most of all his happiness stood out more than anything. He looked satisfied for once in his life; out by the camar van people started gathering and chairs started to be spread out down the aisle and at the front a large wreath stood with peonies and lavender wrapped into the faux vines and the camar van itself was draped in lights that hang down from its small canopy. There the officiators of the wedding were standing having some sort of petty argument over who should officiate it…. Only it wasn't in a common language.
"I ᓭ⍑𝙹⚍ꖎ↸ ↸𝙹 ╎ℸ ̣ ||𝙹⚍ ᓭᓵ𝙹ℸ ̣ ℸ ̣ ╎ᓭ⍑ ᔑᓭᓭ⍑𝙹ꖎᒷ!" Said one who stood around 7'4, they had to crouch under the canopy. Their back had rows of wings all white and gold in colour, and their face was obscured by a series of X shaped halos and the two things visible were a giant eye and their….mouth? Hard to tell. They were draped in green robes and golden rings. The person they were talking to was significantly shorter, his head looking like a Scottish flag at first glance but as you got closer it was a blue glowing ball with two X shaped very thick halos, he also had wings though they were grey and much smaller and there was only one pair of them upon his back. He looked up at the other, presumably looking annoyed. "𝙹⍑ ||𝙹⚍∷ ⊣𝙹╎リ⊣ ℸ ̣ ⍑ᒷ∷ᒷ リ𝙹∴, ╎ ᓭᒷᒷ ⍑𝙹∴ ╎ℸ ̣ ╎ᓭ ᒷᒲ𝙹ℸ ̣ ╎ᓵ𝙹リ ʖ𝙹||!" The other shouted, soon after a few incoherent godly rumbles were said and they both started floating upwards, their hands and halos glowing.
Quickly, a third person walked up the aisle, wearing black robes and standing taller than the both of them "STOP IT THE BOTH OF YOU" he yelled, his voice was soft but his yelling was very unexpected. The two god-like beings quickly descended back to the ground and muttered small sorry's. "Thank you. And despite both of you...being gods I am ordained so I think I'll be taking it from here." The man spoke before walking to the altar, he shrunk himself down to where his face was at least visible by the crowd. His face was black, well most of him was and he had giant white glowing eyes. He had horns growing out of his head and he was wearing a long flowing black robe much nicer and more formal than the robe he wore before. The two deities moved to their respective aisles as Bad propped a small sheet up on the altar and looked out to the aisle, still guests were pooling into both sides and he wondered how much longer he would have to wait.
Will stood, looking at the mirror and by extension himself, he loved how he looked and smiled as he turned towards philza who smiled shallowly at his son. "You look… nice" the brunette laughed a little before responding "you can compliment me on my wedding day Phil '' the older avian rolled his eyes "my son I'm glad you invited me at all. After the whole trial thing I didn't expect you to still want to be in contact with us… me and tech that is" his son scoffed before responding "not inviting you to my fucking wedding over international border discorse is kinda shitty in my opinion" Phil laughed a bit, "you ready?" Will took a deep breath and smiled. "As I'll ever be'' and they walked out to the aisle
Wilbur stood looking at his reflection in the mirror as he sighed, Niki and quackity had left already to go take their seats and he was just standing there looking at himself. He looked at his clothing and then his scars, ones that lined his collarbone from the final control room. He ran a finger over them before putting his glasses on, what he failed to notice next to him before were a small crow and a slightly larger raven. He smiled at them, "thanks guys, I'd known you'd be here" he said softly to the birds before giving them each a small piece of bread. After they finished nibbling on it he lightly padded their heads before walking out.
Tommy and Tommy quickly walked down the path, running almost as they saw most of the guests there already, "We're Gonna Be Late" the uniformed one said, "NO SHIT" the suited one yelled. They slid down the stairs and quickly made their way to the altar, where they both realised that they were the best men. Tommy- the one with the rings hid his hand beside him waiting for his older brother to walk out. The other Tommy stood across from him shakily fiddling with the end of his suit.
Out down the aisle walked Will with a shorter Phil dressed in his AE uniform by his side. Will was dressed in a white suit with gold accents. The suit itself had small grey embroideries on the lapels of flowers, in his hair was a small golden crown with a symbol of the Antarctic empire and a gold tie under his dress shirt collar. He walked gloriously down the carpet as Phil detached himself from him, going off into the first row of seats on Will's side.
Tommy whispered something into Will's ear and he took a deep breath trying to compose himself afterward. The other Tommy was worried before he saw Tubbo walk down the aisle in a suit similar to the one Wilbur wore days prior. It looked almost the same with differences being the size and the green tie. He aggressively threw flowers at the guests from the carpet. He especially aimed at one person in particular who was sleeping in the audience, soon after the flower was thrown at him a small string of swears was said before Bad interrupted him. "LANGUAGE!" The man was sitting in the front row and his horns almost bonked Tubbo in the eye. Tubbo ignored it though and kept walking until he stood behind Tommy. Will stared daggers into the man before returning to his calm state.
'Its Working!' Tommy thought to himself.
A band, their noise coming from nowhere in particular started playing traditional wedding song#2 as Wilbur started to walk down the aisle.
He looked stunning- his l'manberg coat he wore into so many battles was draped over his shoulders and flowers wrapped around the worn off gold of the shoulders and down the sleeves. Under the jacket was a long flowing dress, the top half was a white cotton button up and the skirt part made of the same material. A golden scabbard was tied around his waist with a netherite sword held there in place. Lavender flowers were put into his hair and his glasses's frames had a chain instead of the normal pegs. Two birds sat on his shoulders and as he walked down the aisle one of them- the raven flew off and onto the wreath at the end and the other, the crow stayed on until eventually leaving to follow the raven.
And there he stood, looking his love in the eyes for the first time today. His smile is brighter than ever.
Bad cleared his throat before speaking. "Welcome everybody, from every country, faction, region and nation. We have today put aside our wars, pasts and differences to gather here and celebrate the union of two kindred loves. Wilbur soot and William Sootings. They have written vows for each other so will be letting them speak."
Will took a deep breath before speaking. "Wilbur, from the day you sent me that letter I knew you would keep appearing in my life, whether it be letters of correspondence or well… this. And I am so grateful for that, and I vow to be there for your every need" he took his hands into his own and looked into his eyes waiting for him to give his vows. "Will, when you responded I was taken in and captivated by your loving nature and the words you wrote that were spread about the page. That captivation only grew once I saw you and knew what I had to do, I vow to secure your happiness at every turn" They looked at each other and smiled, waiting for Bad to continue. "The rings please!" Bad said, but no one came.
Sweat beaded Tommy's forehead and he looked over to his counterpart. The other him nodded and so Tommy stayed waiting for anything to happen. "The rings please?" Bad asked again, unsure this time. After a minute or two, Will and Wilbur still looking at each other, Bad opened his mouth to call out again but before he could say anything across from the altar was very tired looking Jack manifold. "ITS THEM"
"What do you mean Jack, do you have the rings?" Jack looked very disheveled, still in his clothes from the day prior. "THEY HAVE THEM. THE RINGS ``Jack pointed at Tommy, Bad tilted his head confused before catching the shaking hand of the boy, rings on his fingers.
Wilbur turned around to see his brother with his rings, "Tommy, please. " The bot began to walk backwards, Tubbo blocked him and looked up at him disapprovingly, guilt washed over him before he broke out into a sprint, running up and around the capital. Wilbur quickly apologized before drawing his sword and running after him.
"TOMMY YOU FUCKER" he yelled as he ran after him, Tommy climbed up the camar van and jumped from the roof and up to a tree and on the wall, Wilbur, still running in his dress, hopped up on the ladder and began climbing up it. The raven from atop the wedding wreath flew up and onto the end of the wall. When Tommy was running towards, he stopped for a moment to catch his breath and looked back to his hand, he looked at the rings on his finger and guilt started to pool in his stomach, almost making him sick. The raven perched itself a meter or two from the boy before transforming into a beautiful woman, she had a purple sun hat and a black veil that covered her shoulders and face, dark purple eyes stood out from it and complete with a black dress. She was round and looked like she was sculpted from the gods.
"Tommy" her voice spoke, her eyes glowing under the veil as she looked at him. "Give him the rings back" her voice sounded like a mother to him "I Can't Ma'am, It's So-" "weird" she interrupted. ,"Well, Yeah." She sighed and sat down next to him. "A few eons ago I fell in love with someone, no it wasn't myself" she chuckled a little before continuing "and people thought it was pretty weird, a death goddess loving a mortal? How strange" Tommy looked a little terrified but he kept letting her speak, fearing she would kill him. "People kept trying to sabotage us, hurt us, and stop us from loving each other but we persisted." Silence filled the air for a moment before the sound of Wilbur climbing got louder. "I Appreciate The Story Ma'am But Why Are You Telling Me This" she looked at him for a moment "oh! So you have a nice story to remember before you get killed" his eyes widened a moment before she burst out laughing "I'm kidding, it's not your time...yet. but just let people love each other how unconventional it may be otherwise you will get to the afterlife before you die!" She said the last part cheerfully before Tommy held out his hand for her to take the rings off of.
Wilbur hopped up from the ladder sword in his mouth, once he got up there he took it out before seeing the women gently taking the rings off Tommy. He quickly put the sword back in his scabbard before running up to the woman. "Mumza…" he said, he knew she was here but he didn't actually expect her to come. "Yes, my son?" She said happily, Wilbur was at a loss for words but she smiled and walked over to the ladder, Tommy behind her looking like a scared rat. He followed behind them.
Mumza turned back into a raven, still holding the rings in her beak before flying off and landing on BadBoyHalo's head, dropping them into his hands.
Wilbur stood back at the altar Gripping his love's hands once more. Everything about him was the same with the exception of a little bit of mud on the ends. Tommy followed behind him looking down at the ground. The other Tommy sighed and rolled his eyes. Bad cleared his throat before continuing. "Wilbur, with this ring do you promise to love and cherish your partner until death or consumption by void?" Wilbur breathed in before answering "I do" he spoke with only love and kindness in his voice, "and do you, William, promise to love and cherish your partner until death or consumption by void?" He smiled and with all the honey and heart in his voice replied "I do"
Bad smiled before continuing "you may now kiss the groom!"
Will smiled and reached his arm around the back of wilburs head before kissing him sweetly, Wilbur cupped his cheek and pulled away to look at him. His eyes were still beautiful.
The guests cheered and the husband's held each other close as they walked back down the aisle. Everything was just noise to them now. The only thing they could Hear, see, and feel were themselves, their pulses and their soft breaths intertwined with each other as the presidential husband's went towards the town center. A band was playing and they started dancing as the night rolled in.
People from the wedding started to appear around the centre and started dancing, drinking and just generally hanging out.
As the moon rose the lights strung up in the town centre flickered on in a display of beauty as the shop lights turned off only the ones hung for the wedding were shining over the country, and focused on the couple who were swaying Lovingly yet carelessly. Holding each other close.
Off to the side the Tommy's were standing, one of them- the uniformed one- was eating cake and pretty happy with himself, he calmed down after talking to Mumza and Tubbo, who both assured him that everything was alright. The other Tommy on the other hand wasn't so pleased. Tommy rolled his eyes and scoffed at the couple dancing. "Stop Being A Dick Bro. Love Wins" he took another bite of cake. "I KNOW BUT-" "It's Weird?, A Lot Of Things Are. We Are The Same Person Standing In The Same Place. We Are At A Wedding Of Our Brother Figures. Things Are Weird." Tommy sighed and got a piece of cake. Begrudgingly returning to where he previously stood.
The wilburs kept on dancing through the night. Holding each other together lovingly and humming along to the band, as the night progressed and the hours drew thinner people started to leave and go to their ships early, other people packed up and went back to their tents for the night but the lovers just stood there. Embracing closely and promising each other to never let go,
And they didn't.
And they held each other.
And danced until morning.
