Chapter Text

You were running from your village. People were screaming “WITCH!” And “BURN HER!” Just for you being able to wield any weapons and use magic. Why must the Gods look at you in this way? You ran into a forest and came upon a path. You followed it until you could reach somewhere.

It was running on a month and a half and you were at least 7 villages off from yours. You kept walking when you noticed an army of dark soldiers and what looked like the prince and his army. They were battling fiercely against those knights and you noticed a woman in yellow was about to get hurt and she couldn’t protect herself. You brushed your hands off and grabbed your bow from your blouse. A trusty weapon you have learned the most. Your mother taught you this before an illness took her. You shot the arrow and it went inside the soldier and he faded away.

“Wha-” you heard the little girl say when the prince came over panting.

“Who saved you?” He panted as you were watching from up in a tree.

“I don’t know Chrom.” She muttered as a man in a purple cape came over.

“I thought my tactics were on point.” Said the man as you chuckled and jumped down.

“Halt! Who are you?” Called a man in armor with a woman on a horse.

“Y/n. I came from y/v (your village). I was ran out by them for being a Tactician.” You said as the man with blue hair came over.

“I’m Chrom and I want to thank you for protecting my sister Lissa.” He said while holding his hand out. You shook his hand and smiled.

“Oh by the way, you just didn’t account for the one in the woods so your tactics didn’t really fail just not work out.” You said as the man with white hair turned to you.

“Where are my manners? I’m Robin, that’s Frederick. And that’s Sully.” He said as you smiled to them.

“Thank you so much miss! How can I repay you?” Said Lissa as you smiled.

“I’m just out roaming so no favors. I’ll have to be on my way anyways.” You said as a hand grabbed your shoulder.

“How about you join us?” Said Chrom as the man Frederick jumped up.

“You are too trusting. How do we know she was ran out? She could be a spy!” He exclaimed as you pulled up your sleeve where the burns were still evident.

“These burns was there was of trying to kill me. They thought they should burn the witch but I escaped and ran. I’ve been on the run for a month and a half. Don’t you dare call me a spy or it will be your last wish.” You growled before getting ready to run.

“Please don’t leave. Frederick is just overprotective.” Said Chrom as you looked over your shoulder.

“If we meet again, then I will join.” You said before disappearing into the forest leaving Chrom speechless.

“Big brother, do you like her?” Teased Lissa.

“Oh quiet Lissa.” He said as they began to set up camp.

Back to you, you were walking away and came upon a river. You splashed some water on your face and dried on your cape. Then, hands grabbed you and you screamed before being knocked out.

~~Chrom’s POV~

The next morning, I woke up and saw Robin and Lissa playing. They were always cracking jokes. Virion came running in with a bracelet. Isn’t that?

“Chrom! I found this by the river. We’re right beside her hometown so this has to be the woman that saved Lissa.

"Gather troops.” I called as my heart dropped. I didn’t want her to be killed for just being a Tactician.

Robin set the plan of attack and we ran into her city. She was pinned to a board where they threw her into the water. It was heavy and she began to drop. She was going to drown!

“Chrom! I’ve got this. Go get her!” Yelled Frederick as I jumped into the water after her. The sounds from above were faded but we’re going fast. I couldn’t let her die! I saw her with her eyes shut and not breathing. I took a dagger that I stowed in my back pocket. I cut the ropes and grabbed her body before swimming to the surface. I noticed that Frederick was dealing with the last along with Sully and Sumia. I felt something wet but warm fall from my eyes. I was crying.

“Y/n! Please still live!” I cried before giving her CPR or mouth to mouth. Lissa came over with Maribelle and started to heal her. Her heartbeat was better but she was still unconscious. We set up a tent to hold her in and I stayed near by.

Your POV~

I felt a rush of air go to my head as my eyes squinted at the bright light.

“Goodness! You’re awake!” Yelled Lissa as your eyes widened.

“You guys saved me!” You gasped as she smiled.

“Actually it was Chrom’s idea.” She smiled and walked out. Chrom came in looking relieved.

“Y/n.” He muttered as you smiled.

“You know I wasn’t trusting of you guys but now I see how far you came to save me that I understand. Thank you.” I said as Chrom smiled. Then he flushed a red color.

“Y/n. That’s not all. Do you believe in love at first sight?” He whispered as your eyes widened.

“Excuse me?” I said as his eyes shut for a second.

“Y/n. When you almost died in my arms, I cried out. I didn’t want you dead. I cared so much for you and I love you.” He said before making his way to the entrance of the tent and leaving. I thought for a moment and tried to go after him but fell. Lissa came running in.

“Y/n, you don’t need to move!” Exclaimed Lissa.

“Tell your brother that I love him too. He left before I could.” I whispered as a tear left your eye.

“Yes y/n.” Lissa said before running back. I felt so tired so I fell back asleep.

Chrom’s POV (Sorry for the many POV changes)

Damn it! Why me! Why do I have to be so stupid. I walked to the lake and splashed some water before turning around to go back to my tent. I walked in and noticed Lissa waiting.

“Lissa? What’s wrong?” I muttered before she hit me.

“That’s for making y/n cry and this-” SLAP “Is for walking out before letting her say I love you too. Now you need to get your butt back in there.” Exclaimed Lissa before I stood in shock and left to the tent. I walked in and noticed y/n was asleep but had puffy eyes. I really made her cry? She was sleeping softly as I kissed her forehead.

Suddenly, lips pressed against mine and were very shaky. I kissed back and felt a sudden passion go through them. I opened my eyes to see y/n blushing.

“Milady. Would you like to join me in my quarters?” I questioned as she smiled and nodded her head and I picked her up.

What you didn’t know was that after your stay of a couple of weeks. Chrom was going to propose in front of the camp. You, of course, said yes.

Chapter Text

You, y/n, was an archer. A very strong one and put Virion to shame but just like Robin, you just showed up. You came into the group right after Robin and you and him are really good friend. You have been in the Sheperds for 2 and a half years and still Frederick wouldn’t even talk to you.

Robin kept putting you two together in battle because he was trying to get Frederick to have a conversation with you but he just huffed. He talked to Robin. What crawled in his dinner and died which made him so sour to you? You were talking to Chrom about this because you and Frederick were losing focus on the battle.

The next battle arrived and Robin was pairing people up. He got to you and placed you with Stahl. You glanced at Robin and didn’t see that Frederick was glaring and that his fists were clenched.

You and Stahl were on the field and focusing on attacking. You noticed that Frederick wasn’t paying attention and didn’t notice the Risen archer. You shot your arrow and pushed him out of the way. The arrow brushed your shoulder before hitting the ground. You looked at him and he glared before walking away. Chrom has defeated the leader and it was time to find another campsite.

Stahl began to cook some food for all of you while Lissa and Maribelle healed wounds. You walked over to Robin before your path was blocked.

“What do you want?” You snapped with agitation.

“Just thanks but next time, don’t do it again.” He growled as your eyes widened.

“Not save you from an arrow that was going for your damn heart. You better pray to the Gods because FINE! I won’t save your ass again.” You yelled as you ran towards the forest. Robin got up and ran after you as Frederick was shocked and started to follow before Chrom pulled him.

“But-”

“No Frederick. Not right now. Eat something and then go after her. I feel like you’re not thinking straight.” Chrom said as Frederick looked towards your path. He huffed before going to get something to eat.

Frederick finished his food and went towards your direction. He noticed you hadn’t came back in a couple of hours.

Frederick’s POV~~
Where could she have gone? She can’t be that far. I really messed up that time but I don’t want her to fall for me. I’ve got duties and I don’t need love to be another duty. I walked slowly as I heard crying. I slowed my steps and heard the conversation.

“Yn, are you sure you want to do this?” Asked Robin.

“I don’t understand why he hates me so damn much! I haven’t done anything. I just saved him. Why does my heart love him? Damn… But I’m planning on leaving. It’s for the best. Tomorrow morning. I won’t be to tell anyone. I’ve only told you Robin. I won’t forget you my friend but maybe it’s time to let go and find a different path.” Y/n said as my heart dropped. She’s leaving? She can’t leave.

“Are you sure? I don’t want you to get hurt. Even though this happened, are you sure?” Robin kept asking.

“It’s for the best. I’m leaving early tomorrow before sunrise. I won’t tell anyone else. I have notes for everyone and I’m giving them before I leave.” Y/n said as my heart dropped even further.

“Even-”

“No. He doesn’t believe in me. He hates me. Why should he know my true feelings?” She snapped as I ran back and inside my tent to prepare for the morning. I had to stop her! I have to know why she is acting this way. I have to know her true feelings.

Back to regular POV~

You woke up extra early and started to place your notes. This was it. You began to leave and had a particular note in your pocket. Robin told you to write that note but you weren’t going to give it to him. You ran as fast as you could and disappeared into darkness with your hood up so no one recognized you.

Back at the camp, everyone began to wake up and saw their notes. Lissa began to cry. Robin looked down. Stahl started to push away food. Gaius pushed away candy and Chrom began to yell at Frederick. Frederick sat in shock as he noticed that no note was left for him. His heart felt like is was being ripped out.

A few weeks later, the next battle began. It was hard because your smiling face wasn’t there. Frederick began to slow down because he refused to eat and didn’t sleep. His energy was wearing and he couldn’t properly stand. Chrom yelled his name but he hit the ground and the last thing he saw was a shadow loom over.

You happened to hear the battle and ran over. You noticed Robin and Chrom trying to take the leader down and Lissa healing. Virion, Sumia, and Stahl were trying to fight off and there was Frederick. He looked horrible. You ran over and noticed him crash to the ground. Chrom yelled as a Risen attacked. You jumped in front and got hit before grabbing Frederick’s lance and stabbing the Risen.

“Y/n!” Chrom yelled as you tucked the note inside Frederick’s pockets.

“Is everyone okay?” You exclaimed before Lissa nodded her head.

“Except Frederick. How did you see us?” She said as you smiled.

“I was hunting in the tree but we need to heal him.” You said.

“What about your wound?” Asked Maribelle before looking at your side. Right…

“Lissa, take care of Frederick and I’ll take Y/n.” Said Maribelle and she nodded her head. Maribelle sewed your wound and wrapped you tightly before taking you over to Frederick. He wasn’t awake so Maribelle helped you over to Stahl who got you food and water.

Frederick’s POV~

I opened my eyes and I was on a bed. I saw Lissa and Maribelle.

“How did-”

“Shush. Eat and drink. Y/n came back and saved you from the Risen. Stahl is getting her food and keeping her wound from opened up."Maribelle said as his eyes widened.

"Wound?” I gasped. She got hurt again because of me. I’m so stupid!

“Eat. Yes. A Risen with an axe cut her side. She threw herself in front before taking your lance and stabbing him.” Said Lissa before he took another bite.

“She just so happened to save your butt again.” Said another voice, Chrom.

“I guess you can say, she’s one of a kind.” Said Gaius before running out.

“Chrom, when can I see her?” I asked as Lissa hushed me.

“You need rest and food. You’re going to get that before seeing her.” Said Lissa as a shadow came in.

“Is he-” It’s her! Her beautiful voice!

“Y/n!” I exclaimed before trying to get up and Lissa grabbed me.

“No you don’t.” She said before pushing me back.

“But-” I was cut off again.

“You need rest. Y/n, can you come back tomorrow?” Asked Lissa before she nodded her head and I saw her walking with Robin. My blood boiled. She should be with me. Don’t leave.

“You might want to take a look at the note she left.” Said Chrom as everyone left and I opened it.

It read:
Frederick,
Even though you hate me and don’t believe in me, I love you. I love your strength and compassion. I have never fallen this hard. The reason I left was to distance myself. I hope you understand but you probably don’t care. I love you.
Love,
the girl you asked not to save you.

My eyes widened. I have pushed her away that much? I felt a presence nearby and looked toward the entrance. It was her. I noticed her wound wrapped with bandages.

“Good. You’re doing okay. I know you didn’t want me to save you and probably thought I wouldn’t considering about what happened but I couldn’t let the Risen take you.” She said as my eyes widened. I tried to stand up but again, I fell back.

She ran over and helped me back and started to leave as I grabbed her hand. My face heated up. I’m making myself an embarrassment.

“Y/n, I love you too. I just was afraid of falling so hard. But then I realized I lost you before ever having you. I starved, didn’t sleep, and didn’t train because all I saw was you. I was jealous of Stahl and Robin. I was scared you really could have gotten hurt and then I heard your conversation with Robin about leaving and I was going to stop you but I was too late.” I said as a few tears fell down my cheeks. I felt a soft hand brush them.

“I love you too Frederick. I always have. I thought you hated me.” She said while a tear fell from her eyes. I pulled her onto the bed gently.

“I could never! I’ve always loved you and still do. I was just afraid.” I said as she smiled and laid down. I pressed my lips against hers and her eyes widened before kissing back. I smiled and pressed harder before pulling away.

“Care to sleep with me tonight?” I questioned as she smiled and laid against me. “I love you.”

“I love you too.” She said before kissing my cheek and placing her head on my shoulder. Finally, my happiness has returned. I’m going to keep her around.

Chapter Text

It was finally after the war. Your strength was about to give being a Mage of wind and all. The war did not seem to end. You and Lon'qu confessed your love right before the war ended and you’ve been trying to get him to enjoy your touch. It took time but now you can hold his hands without him running away from you.

Now he’s been even more distant. He would not even look at you. It worried because Lon’qu always said he would talk to you. You were getting worried and decided to talk to your best friend Virion. Virion always made you laugh but Lon'qu hated him. You never understood it. You did not know that Lon’qu was jealous of Virion because at least he enjoyed your touch.

“He’s just been so distant.” You mumbled as Virion patted your back.

“Y/n, he loves you. You’re the first woman he let touch him.” Virion said as you smiled. “Remember that you helped him through that?”

“I guess I’m overreacting.” You said as loud footsteps ran to y'all.

“Y/N! Why are you here with him? I thought we were going out to eat? Or are you giving up on us?” Questioned Lon'qu as tears formed on your eyes. You did not expect him to accuse you. It hurt.

“No I’m never through! I just had to talk to him. Bye Virion. Thank you for your help.” You said as he smiled and waved. “WHAT IS YOUR DAMN PROBLEM?!”

“My problem is that my girl is being close to that… That person than her own boyfriend.” He snapped. You noticed his fists were clenched at his side and you had tears in your eyes.

“He has a name! And what about you mister distant! I can’t even look at you!” You exclaimed before running into your house and to your library before slamming the doors and crying.

Your tears fell like water from a faucet. You stood up and looked at your memory book. Lon'qu and you swimming. Lon'qu dancing with you. You loved him. Truly… But why does he have to be difficult! You started to cry more as the door opened. Suddenly, arms wrapped around your waist and you froze before feeling Lon'qu’s hair. You felt his strong arms pull you into his lap and tightly across your body.

“I’m really sorry. Virion explained. I’m so sorry.” He cried before a tear hit your neck. You kept your back to him and continued to look at the book. You came across a page that was titled “Wedding Day” and you were slightly confused. There was a ring sitting there. You gasped and turned to him who was on one knee.

“Y/n, I love… Why do my emotions have to be vexing. I love you so much so I propose to you. Will you marry me?” He asked as you jumped into his arms.

“Of course!” You said as he placed the ring on and gave you a long kiss.

“I’m sorry for making you worry.” He said as you smiled. “I’m sorry for yelling at you and not trusting you.”

“Stop saying you’re sorry and start loving me.” You said as he smiled. He walked over and kissed your lips while his hands roamed.

“Thank the gods I have you. I love you so damn much.” He muttered as you gasped.

“Lon'qu, I didn’t know you could do that.” You gasped.

“Too much?” He questioned.

“No but darling.” You said as he blushed looking into your lust filled eyes.

“Save it for our wedding night.” He said as you blushed. “Though I need a shower… Care to join?”

“I would love to my prince.” You said before following him.

The wedding day was black and y/f/c. Virion gave you to Lon'qu and you watched as he blushed. After you both said yes, you began to dance and laugh at how many people were in shock. People were surprised you shook Lon'qu of his fear of women and that he fell for you.

“Apparently you shook my phobia of women.” He muttered as you kissed him. “Babe, not now.”

“Of course now.” You said before kissing him harder and tangling your hands in his hair.

“You will drive me nuts.” He said as you laughed.

“Aren’t I suppose to?” You whispered which made him shiver. Only you two know what happened that night and let’s just say, he made you go nuts instead. Who knew you fixed his problem with women?
