A Million Miles to Get Here

Summary:

Keegan and Alex are struggling to give their characters on-screen chemistry. In attempting to figure out how to address this issue, they both come to the realization of how much they mean to each other.

Notes:

There are some vague references to Alex's role on Grey's Anatomy, and the chemistry he has with Jake Borelli, who plays his boyfriend. Knowledge of the characters or story line on that show isn't necessarily needed for this fic.

Chapter Text

Alex made a soft, thoughtful sound as he contemplated the numerous trays of food lined up on the table in the catering tent. He loaded up his plate with mixed greens and a few slices of grilled chicken, but just as he was about to grab something from the dessert platter, he caught a glimpse of Keegan striding quickly toward him.

“Hey,” Alex grinned. “I thought you couldn't break for lunch till later. Did your sugar alarm go off ‘cause I was about to eat a muffin?”

“What? No, I…” Keegan trailed off, looking confused for a moment until his gaze settled upon Alex’s plate. “I didn’t come out here to judge your food choices.”

Alex picked up a bottle of water and followed Keegan as he moved over to one of the picnic tables beneath a tree several yards away.

“Good job on the macros, though,” Keegan commented as they settled down across from one another at the table. “You look great.”

“Thanks,” Alex replied. “Hey, are you doing anything after work today? I was thinking about hitting up that new rock climbing place in Westgate. Thought maybe you could show me the ropes.”

“Yeah,” Keegan replied absently. “I mean, no– I– ” He stopped abruptly and shook his head, looking conflicted about whatever it was he seemed unable to say aloud. He fidgeted restlessly with the buttons at his wrists before finally undoing them and rolling the sleeves of his dress shirt up to his elbows.

Alex and Keegan had been working together on and off for nearly a year and a half, but Alex had been splitting his time between Los Angeles, Austin, and New York since he started filming Walker. Every time he was in town though, the two of them made it a point to get together and hang out, realizing early on that they had a lot in common and genuinely enjoyed one another’s company. It was obvious Keegan was a good guy – sweet and earnest and extremely committed to his work – and it was starting to worry Alex how anxious Keegan was about whatever it was that was bothering him.

“Is everything alright?” Alex tentatively asked.

“Not really,” Keegan mumbled.

When Alex swept his eyes up to meet Keegan’s, his heart twisted painfully in his chest at the look of concern darkening Keegan’s usually bright blue eyes. “Keegan, what is it?” he asked.

“People are talking about us,” Keegan sighed. “About how- how bad our chemistry is on screen.”

“I’m sorry– what?” Alex blurted out. “What people? Like Anna and Steve?” He unconsciously held his breath waiting for Keegan’s response, wondering if the showrunners had approached Keegan with their concerns since he was a series regular, while Alex only had a recurring guest role. “Did Jared say something?”

“No- no,” Keegan hurriedly replied. He reached into the pocket of his slacks and pulled out his phone, frowning as he unlocked it and then turned it around to show Alex the site he had pulled up. “I mean, like the viewers – fans of the show.”

Alex’s brow furrowed as he skimmed the blog post on the screen. As the words registered in his brain after a few seconds, he couldn’t quite contain the laugh that bubbled up from his throat. He pressed his lips together, trying – and mostly failing – to contain his laughter. He shook his head hard to snap himself out of it, but he was still grinning as he took the phone from Keegan and read part of the post aloud.

“... the most awkward hug I’ve ever witnessed. Was that in the stage directions or are Keegan and Alex just the most socially awkward bois on the face of this earth?”

Alex snorted as he handed the phone back. Thankfully, Keegan at least cracked a small smile as he lowered his eyes and scrolled through his apps to bring up Twitter.

“C’mon, man,” Alex remarked. “You have to admit, it’s at least a little funny, right? Those are just internet trolls, anyway.”

“Yeah, I guess so,” Keegan conceded. “But listen to this one,” he continued on. “Liam and Bret act like frat bros, not two dudes who were supposedly fucking on the regular before they broke up.”

Alex hummed thoughtfully, trying to understand where Keegan was coming from. Knowing how much Keegan cared about the impact of his work as a creator – not just an actor, but as a musician and photographer as well – it made sense that he was so troubled by this criticism, even if it was from a bunch of random internet strangers.

Keegan sighed again as he set his phone down and swept his eyes up to meet Alex’s. “I’ve seen you on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’. That’s what chemistry’s supposed to look like. You and I don’t have that. We never have, and I don’t know if we ever will.”

“I- I mean, yeah, I guess,” Alex stammered. “That’s probably just ‘cause Jake’s such a good kisser.”

Keegan scoffed and folded his arms across his chest, looking like a toddler on the verge of a tantrum. It was somehow both amusing and endearing all at the same time.

“That didn’t come out right,” Alex said. “What I meant is that I just follow Jake's lead, and somehow that dynamic works for us.”

“I’m a good kisser, too,” Keegan pouted. “How are you and I supposed to kiss on screen without, like, the whole ass internet laughing at us afterward? Maybe we ought to just get it over with."

“What, like right now?” Alex teased.

“No,” Keegan rolled his eyes. “Come over after we wrap for today. We can run lines and see if we can’t muster up some chemistry, or whatever.”

“Yeah, alright,” Alex agreed. He hesitated for a moment, then reached across the table as Keegan instinctively leaned forward to meet him halfway. Alex slid his hand over Keegan’s and nodded reassuringly. “We’re gonna figure this out. I promise you, we will."

“Okay,” Keegan nodded after a few moments. “Alright. Thanks, Alex.” He smiled then – a familiar, brilliant smile that lit up his entire face, eyes crinkling at the corners, shining brightly. Alex couldn't help mirroring his grin, not realizing until this very moment how much he’d missed that smile these last few weeks while they were apart.

Chapter Text

Keegan shook his head, brow furrowing as he lowered his eyes to study the coffee table in front of them. “I love you,” he murmured.

“I sense an impending ‘but’...” Alex said quietly.

Keegan smiled, soft and fond, as he drew in a deep breath as though giving himself a silent pep-talk to continue on. “But I can’t move back to New York. I thought I could be one of those people who only sees their family over the holidays once a year, but I- I’m not. I realized after moving back home – after all my family and I went through this past year – that I need them just as much as they need me.”

“I get that, Liam,” Alex whispered. “But you have to understand where I’m coming from, too.”

“I do,” Keegan murmured. “I never expected you to sacrifice so much… to give up so much for me…” he trailed off.

When Keegan lifted his eyes to meet Alex’s, they were shimmering with tears and the crests of his cheeks were stained pink. The emotion and vulnerability overflowing from the ocean-blue depths had Alex speechless for a moment and he had to reach hard for his next line.

“For us,” Alex finally said. “Everything I’ve ever done has been for us . I love you, too, Liam – so much.”

He reached up to slide his hand over Keegan’s cheek, brushing his thumb along the edge of where the thick grain of his beard met smooth, petal-soft skin. A tremor of anticipation raced down Alex’s spine, and he drew in a soft inhale as they both leaned in for the scripted kiss. But both men stopped abruptly as their noses bumped together and they each tried to tilt their heads to correct the awkward angle.

Keegan huffed in frustration and flopped against the back of the sofa, scrubbing his hands over his face. “Sorry,” he muttered. “That was my bad.”

“Tilt to the right next time,” Alex urged gently. “We'll both go right.”

“Yeah,” Keegan nodded. “Okay. That was good, though. All the way up to the socially awkward kiss.”

Alex chuckled and shook his head. “I still don’t know how you turn on the waterworks so easily. It’s incredible.”

“Trust me; I cry a lot,” Keegan shrugged. “Those tears aren’t Liam’s. That’s just Keegs on any given Tuesday.”

Alex laughed as he picked up his copy of the script and flipped through the pages. “Alright. Should we go back to one?”

“We need to get that kiss sorted out,” Keegan replied. “C’mon, let’s just do it.” He cracked his knuckles and tilted his head from side to side in an exaggerated stretching motion. “Show me what you got, Landi.”

Alex grinned and drew in a deep breath, suddenly and inexplicably nervous. He leaned in close again and slid both of his hands over Keegan’s cheeks, then pressed his mouth against the older man’s in a soft, gentle kiss. Just as he was about to pull away, Keegan pushed forward to deepen the kiss as his hands clutched at Alex’s shoulders and he thrust his tongue between Alex’s lips. Keegan was right – he really was a good kisser – but it was way too much, too fast, and Alex wrenched his lips away with a sharp inhale.

“Too much?” Keegan cringed.

“Yeah, a little bit,” Alex admitted. He dragged his tongue across his bottom lip, still tingling from Keegan’s overly enthusiastic kiss. “Liam and Bret are… I don’t know, they seem like their relationship would be more sweet than sexy.”

“Like ‘frat bros’?” Keegan remarked with a sigh and exaggerated air-quotes.

“No, not like that. Just like… maybe like high school sweetheart energy, you know? More love than lust.” Alex thought for a moment and then nodded decidedly. “Let’s try something different. Let’s get into character and improvise.”

“I haven’t done improv since college,” Keegan said. “But yeah, okay – it’s worth a shot.”

Alex nodded again, then rose to his feet and stepped away from the couch, closer to the large pane glass window overlooking the yard. The last bit of color from the setting sun still lit the sky, streaks of gold and pink slowly surrendering to the night. Alex folded his arms across his chest and closed his eyes briefly, slipping into character as Keegan moved over to stand beside him.

“I love you," Alex said quietly. "I'm in love with you, Liam. And before all of this, I was absolutely certain I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you.”

"And now?" When Alex didn't reply right away, Keegan reached out tentatively and placed his hand gently upon Alex's forearm.

"I guess I realized that maybe I don't- I don't really know how you feel about me."

A soft sound of surprise escaped Keegan's throat and when Alex turned to face him, he wasn't surprised to find wide, shiny blue eyes already fixed upon his face. Alex uncrossed his arms and smiled faintly as Keegan said his hand down to interlace their fingers.

"You say that you love me," Alex continued on. "You say those words, and I hear them… but how do you really feel?"

When Keegan drew in a deep, shaky breath, it occurred to Alex how much Keegan always managed to say without speaking, conveying an array of emotions with just a nuanced facial expression or nonverbal cue. He was hands-down one of the most talented actors Alex had ever been lucky enough to work with.

"I feel… grateful," Keegan said slowly, thoughtfully, like Liam often did when he was contemplating his words. "Just… so thankful that the universe somehow decided to let our paths cross. Do you still remember that day?"

"Of course," Alex replied. He thought hard about all of the episodes of Walker he’d appeared in, but came up empty as far as Bret and Liam’s back story. Truthfully, the writers hadn’t given them much, so it wasn’t too surprising he and Keegan were having trouble giving their characters a connection on screen. A soft smile tugged at Alex’s mouth as he was instead hit with the memory of the first time he and Keegan had met. “How could I forget? You spilled your coffee all over me.”

Keegan chuckled and brought his free hand up to gently caress Alex's cheek. "Sometimes I think about the million little moments in our lives that led up to us meeting that day, and I'm grateful for every single one of them 'cause they brought us together."

Alex had to lower his eyes, surprised by the genuine emotion blooming in his chest in response to Keegan's earnest words and his whisper-light touch.

"You always bring out the best in me when we're together and I was stupid for ever taking that for granted," Keegan continued.

"You're not stupid," Alex blurted out. "You're the smartest person I know. And I've never met anyone who cares so much… who's so passionate about the things they love.” He pressed his lips together briefly, but couldn’t quite manage to stop the words now tumbling out almost on their own accord. “I’ve looked up to you from the moment we met. You’re incredible… and I guess sometimes I still can’t believe you actually love me, too.”

Alex shook his head, tugging his lip between his teeth as jumbled up thoughts and memories drifted in and out of his mind – of the two of them having breakfast together at 3 a.m. after their first late night of filming, how much their friendship had grown and evolved since then, and how much he truly respected and cared for Keegan as a colleague and friend.

"I do love you," Keegan murmured. "So much. And I know I don't deserve everything you've-"

Alex surged forward and pressed his lips to Keegan's, gasping softly at the sound of surprise that caught in the older man's throat. But Keegan didn't miss a beat, bringing his arms up to curl around Alex's shoulders, closing the distance between them until their bodies were pressed together from chest to hips. Keegan parted his lips slightly and teased his tongue along the seam of Alex's mouth, sending tremors of anticipation and emotion rippling down Alex's spine. He moaned softly in agreement as Alex sucked Keegan's tongue into his mouth and they settled easily into a slow, sensuous rhythm, tongues twisting perfectly as the kiss naturally deepened.

Keegan's lips were warm and satin-soft, and the press of his kiss was gentle but insistent as the bristly grain of his beard brushing against Alex's chin sent confusing sparks of arousal blooming under his skin. Pleasure pooled low in his belly, sensation rushing hot and hard through every inch of his body. He could barely breathe anymore as his head began to swim and he became nearly dizzy with the sudden rush of blood downward. Alex dropped one arm down around Keegan's waist to pull him closer, instinctively chasing after more friction against his achingly hard cock.

Alex's heart pounded behind his ribs at the realization that Keegan was hard as well, the stiff line of his erection pressing against Alex's where they were both now grinding their hips together. Clearly this improvisation exercise was well past the point of going off the rails, but Alex could not seem to find it in himself to care. Keegan's hand tangled restlessly through Alex's hair as he dropped the other down to clutch at the nape of his neck, trying to pull him closer even though there wasn't an inch of space between them.

Keegan moaned into Alex’s mouth and, emboldened by his reaction, Alex slid his hand down further to cup the swell of Keegan’s ass through his jeans. Keegan moaned again and rutted his hips hard against Alex’s, now making soft, wounded little sounds deep in his throat as they continued to make out, open-mouthed and needy.

Finally, they broke apart, both of them breathless like they'd just sprinted a mile. But they remained exactly where they were, neither man making a move to put any distance between them. Keegan was trembling against Alex's chest, and when their eyes met, a look of complete astonishment was painted across Keegan's face.

"Are you alright?" Alex asked.

"I'm a little shook," Keegan breathed. “I’m sorry.”

"It's okay. So am I.”

"I- I don't think I was in character," Keegan stammered. "Or, I was… and then I… wasn’t. That's never happened to me before. I'm so sorry," he repeated. His brow furrowed as he lowered his eyes, looking ashamed and disappointed in himself.

"Hey," Alex said softly. He touched Keegan's chin, urging him to look up. "Does it feel like I'm upset about that?" To punctuate his words, he shifted his hips, making damned sure that Keegan felt how turned on he was as well.

"Maybe not," Keegan said with a faint smile. “What is this, Alex? What are we doing?”

“I don’t know,” Alex whispered. “I’m gonna be honest and say that I have no idea what’s happening right now.” He drew in a deep breath and exhaled slowly through pursed lips, trying to will the blood in his body to flow back up to his brain. “Maybe I should go,” he added, even though that was the last thing in the entire world he wanted to do right now.

“Maybe,” Keegan faltered, meeting and holding Alex’s gaze steady for several long moments. “Or maybe you should stay.”

Chapter Text

When their mouths met again, Alex’s arms instinctively came up to drape over Keegan’s shoulders. He sighed, soft and content, as he melted against the solid strength of Keegan’s chest and pushed aside all of the warning signals blaring loudly in his head. Clearly, they both wanted this – whatever this was – and neither of them was in a relationship, so really there was no problem.

Keegan broke away after a moment and began to press kisses along the curve of Alex’s jaw, down to the side of his neck where his pulse was thundering madly under the surface of his skin. The slick warmth of Keegan’s lips as he sucked a wet line of kisses down to the dip between Alex’s collarbones sent sparks of pleasure zipping through all of his nerve endings, setting them ablaze.

Alex threaded his fingers through the tousled mess of Keegan’s hair and swallowed down a moan, steadying himself with his other hand gripping Keegan’s shoulder tightly. He felt like he was on the verge of passing out, or coming in his pants like a Goddamned teenager – maybe both. But still, he couldn’t fully silence the tiny, but very insistent voice of warning in his head.

“Keegs,” he began hesitantly. “Hang on. We have to stop.”

Once they had managed to disentangle themselves from one another, Alex took a small step back as Keegan turned to face the window again, steadying himself with one hand pressed to the window frame. It was dark outside now, with a half-moon hanging low in the sky, casting eerie shadows onto the grass through the tree branches swaying in the night breeze.

“I know we need to talk,” Keegan said quietly. “I’m sorry. I don’t know what’s gotten into me.”

Alex’s heart pounded painfully behind his ribs as he followed Keegan back over to the couch and they sat again, side-by-side just as they had been a few minutes ago. And yet, everything was different now – lines blurred, crossed, and then destroyed altogether – and suddenly Alex was hit with a tidal wave of regret for possibly ruining one of the purest and most genuine friendships he’d ever had.

Keegan licked his lips as he turned slightly to face Alex and then lowered his eyes before speaking again. “I meant everything I said,” he began hesitantly. “Did you?”

“Yes,” Alex easily replied. “I did- I do- I care about you, so much. But I can’t lose you over this.”

“You won’t,” Keegan hurried to respond. “Your friendship means a lot to me, too.”

Alex nodded, relieved that they were at least on the same page about that. “I’ve spent pretty much my entire adult life wondering if people only wanted to be friends with me ‘cause I’m famous,” he revealed. “Or because I could help them with whatever it was they were trying to gain for themselves.”

“I don’t- I would never-”

Alex shook his head, silencing Keegan with a gentle hand upon his shoulder. “I didn’t mean you. You’ve gotta be the first person I’ve ever met that I knew – right from the get-go – that you had zero ulterior motives.” He paused for a few moments, trying to make sense of all the thoughts swirling around in his head. “That’s why I guess I’m just… scared. Afraid that I’m gonna fuck this up with you, and I’ll end up losing one of the best things I’ve ever had.”

Keegan nodded and lowered his eyes, picking absently at a thread on the hem of his jeans for a moment. “I know you probably think I’m just confused. And maybe I am, I don’t know…” Keegan trailed off. “But I do know that – “ he gestured vaguely toward the window in front of which they’d just shared their first kiss, and then some “ – that felt more right than anything I’ve ever felt before.”

Alex nodded in agreement. “Me too,” he said softly. “I wanna see where this takes us. But you have to promise me that whatever happens – I’ll still have you as a friend.”

“Deal,” Keegan replied with a small smile. “Believe me; I get where you’re coming from. I don’t make friends easily, either. But somehow you became one of the most important people in my life without me even noticing.”

Alex chuckled softly as warmth bloomed in his chest. Still, he couldn’t help voicing one of the thoughts that had been on his mind all evening. “I didn’t think you were even into guys,” he admitted. “You kinda caught me off guard.”

“I don’t think I am,” Keegan said thoughtfully. “I think I’m just into you in particular.”

Alex felt his cheeks warm with embarrassment. “There are already too many letters in ‘LBGTQIA’,” he quipped. “Are we adding another one for people attracted to Alex Landi?”

When Keegan laughed at his ridiculous joke – a real, genuine laugh – Alex felt the rest of his trepidation begin to melt away. He reached over to slide his hand over Keegan’s, smiling when their fingers naturally intertwined and Keegan brought them up to press a gentle kiss to the back of Alex’s hand.

“This was a really hard conversation to have with basically no blood in my brain,” Keegan announced. “Pun intended.”

“You’re such a dork,” Alex said, rolling his eyes fondly. “So where do we go from here?”

“Do you wanna go on a date?” Keegan asked, raising his eyebrows with a hopeful smile.

Alex laughed, recalling the irony in the fact that Keegan had spoken those same words as Liam in their final scene together last season. “Absolutely,” he replied. “But I also really wanna kiss you again."

Keegan hummed thoughtfully as they leaned in close again and their lips slotted easily together, both of them curling their arms around one another as they shifted closer together on the sofa. Pleasure and sensation prickled under Alex’s skin as the kiss deepened after a moment and their tongues twisted together. Keegan teased gently along the seam of Alex’s lips, patiently but eagerly exploring as his tongue dipped into Alex’s mouth.

Keegan tasted sweet and spicy, like honey and mint, and the sharp, masculine scent of him enveloped Alex as he pushed forward and urged Alex to lie back. His head was suddenly swimming and his cock was hard enough to pound nails as Keegan settled comfortably between Alex’s spread thighs and lowered his head to begin sucking gently on his neck.

“Jesus Christ,” Keegan muttered. “I want you, Alex. I want you so bad...” He wrestled one arm down between them and palmed over Alex’s crotch, squeezing and stroking the hard flesh through too many layers of clothing.

Alex moaned in response and his eyes fell shut as Keegan’s hands moved swiftly to unbutton and unzip his pants. As difficult as it was to find the self-control to do so, he reached down to grab a gentle hold of Keegan’s wrist to still his movements.

“Hey,” Alex murmured. “Let me drive? Since this is new to you and all.”

“You gonna show me the ropes, kid?” Keegan teased. He grinned, soft and fond, as the two of them pushed themselves upright.

Keegan’s eyes widened and his mouth fell halfway open as Alex shifted over and then gracefully dropped to kneel on the carpeted floor between Keegan’s legs. His look of utter disbelief probably would’ve been funny if Alex wasn’t so aroused that he could barely see straight. He had been so hard for so long that it was kind of starting to ache. He dropped one hand down into the open flaps of his jeans to palm over his erection through his underwear, breathing a sigh of relief at the sensation.

Alex lifted his eyes to meet Keegan’s and held his gaze steady as he slipped open the button on Keegan’s jeans and slowly dragged the zipper down. Keegan’s eyes fell shut for a moment and he exhaled shakily through pursed lips as Alex carefully tugged at the waist of his boxer-briefs to let his erection spring free. He’d suspected Keegan would be big – that much was obvious, even with just the eager groping they’d done through their clothes up to this point – but Alex was certainly not prepared to see Keegan’s cock up close, in the flesh.

The blood-thick shaft was curved slightly up toward his navel, velvet-soft skin dark with arousal and webbed with a delicate criss-cross of veins throbbing with every frantic beat of his heart. Alex’s mouth watered at the sight of the shiny drop of pre-come beading at the tip, and he unconsciously dragged his tongue across his bottom lip, suddenly aching for a taste of it.

Finally tearing his eyes away, Alex tugged at the hem of Keegan’s t-shirt and together they guided the material up over his head and off. Alex’s eyes swept hungrily over the hard lines and curves of Keegan’s perfectly sculpted chest and abs, and he couldn’t help reaching out to drag his fingertips lightly over the hard, muscled flesh – laid bare just for him, entirely his for the taking.

Keegan shifted his legs apart and lifted his hips to slip his pants and briefs down slightly, just enough for Alex to tuck the elastic under the heavy swell of his balls. Both men were silent as Keegan caught his lip between his teeth, suddenly looking shy as he curled his hand loosely around the shaft and looked at Alex expectantly. Alex gave him a reassuring smile as he leaned in to nudge his nose into the dark, wiry hair at the base of Keegan’s cock. His eyes fluttered shut at the clean, familiar scent – stronger and more pronounced than he’d ever experienced – as he willingly let the sheer intimacy of this moment surround him, overwhelming all of his senses.

Alex gently set Keegan’s hand aside and curled his own fist tight around the base, then stroked along the stiff length, all the way up to the tip where a steady trickle of pre-come now oozed from the slit, dripping down over the swollen crown. He squeezed gently under the head and then leaned down to lick up the tangy-sweet drop of liquid. Alex couldn’t help smiling at the surprised ‘oh’ that escaped Keegan’s lips, along with a slight jerk of his hips. But the taste of his arousal fluttering across Alex’s tongue sent an almost violent surge of arousal racing down his own spine as a fresh rush of heated blood filled and stiffened his dick even more.

“Just relax, okay?” Alex murmured, lifting his gaze to meet Keegan’s again. “Trust me.”

“Okay,” Keegan breathed. “I will. I- I mean, I do.” He brought one hand up to push Alex’s hair away from his face, threading his fingers through the dark strands as Alex sucked the leaking head into his mouth.

Alex dipped lower, slowly engulfing as much of the straining shaft as he could, letting a bit of saliva leak from the corners of his mouth as he lifted up and then repeated the motion. Keegan bit back a moan and then said Alex’s name, his voice gravel-rough and strained.

“Fuck,” Keegan murmured. “Fuck, that feels so good. Jesus fuck.”

Pride bloomed in Alex’s chest at the fact that Keegan was practically incoherent already and they had barely even gotten started. He curled his fist around the spit-slicked shaft and began to move his mouth and his hand in tandem, pumping steadily along throbbing flesh again and again. The filthily arousing sound of him slurping wetly over Keegan’s dick filled the silence between them, along with the broken moans and choked-off obscenities now bursting non-stop from Keegan’s lips.

Alex couldn’t resist any longer; he shoved his free hand down into his own briefs and moaned at the friction against his neglected cock. He lost his rhythm for a moment, distracted by the sudden rush of pleasure blooming under his skin, but picked up his pace again soon enough. He was already embarrassingly close himself, and tried to focus more of his efforts on giving Keegan all the pleasure he deserved. He continued to jerk himself off in the same steady rhythm though, urging them both closer and closer to their release.

He could feel the muscles in Keegan’s body coiling tighter, his hips trembling hard with the effort to hold back. Suddenly, Keegan cried out sharply, but his frantic words of warning sounded muffled and far away in Alex’s ears as his own orgasm tore suddenly through him. The pleasure hit him like a hurricane, cascading over him in waves as he continued to stroke frantically over his own hard, aching flesh. He did his best to work Keegan through his climax as well, swallowing down every powerful spurt of come as his mouth was flooded again and again.

Finally, when Keegan shuddered slightly, Alex let the softening flesh slip out of his mouth and sat back on his heels, grateful that he was already sitting since his legs felt incredibly unsteady beneath him. He and Keegan were both quiet as they absently re-dressed themselves and Alex reached for the box of tissues on the coffee table behind him to wipe his hands clean.

They were both a mess – sweaty and breathless – but before Alex could say anything, Keegan grabbed a hold of his forearm and hauled him back up onto the couch, slotting their lips together once more in a breathtaking kiss.

Once their lips finally parted, Alex dropped his forehead to rest against Keegan’s and smiled as Keegan wrapped him up in a hug that was somehow anything but awkward. There were about a million different thoughts tumbling around in Alex’s head, but he didn’t say anything, just let Keegan’s satin-soft exhales flow over his lips for a few moments, inexplicably content just to be here in the warmth and safety of his arms.
