Chapter 1: Heated Minds
Chapter Text
Din was a warm and wet heat as Luke pushed his tongue into him, in and out, swirling and teasing along the sides of his velvety passage. Earning him strangled moans and frantic gasp as a heel dug into his back and fingers twisted in his hair desperately.
He bit down a groan, releasing his lust into the force. Ignoring as he pressed harder trying to, deliberately seeking out the place that made Din a puddled mess -
And oh, there it was.
He was threading a fine line here, it wasn't breaking the Jedi code if he gained nothing from it , and as he forced his want and desire into the force, he felt himself trembling. Aching between his own knees, amd what he wouldn't give-
No.
There was no passion, only peace.
Even as his cock screamed at him to take, take the warm messy hole of the willing man beneath him, the man who had confessed his love, who had let Luke see his face, who had fought back tears as Luke pressed him into the bed refusing to respond to show any emotion as to how much those words, those actions meant.
He was only doing this for Din, he got nothing out of it.
Pulling away, he pressed the tip of his finger atop the swollen clut, forcing his heart to remain steady as the omega squirted, a long spray of slick pushing its way out of swollen lips.
It would.... Bring Din more pleasure if Luke were to suck up his juices, and he had after all said he would help the man through his heat.
He couldn't fight back a low moan as he sealed his mouth around the spraying treasure, sucking along the folds as slick filled his mouth. The sweet smell of the man making his head swarm, and his body burn.
Din whined, as he tugged at Luke's hair, flinching back from his wandering mouth.
As Luke raised his head he met pleasure filled eyes. The omega mouth hung open and his head was thrown back and to the side, blinking slowly as his chest heaved, sweat glistening against his chin and Luke dove down to lick it from his chest, trailing along his nipple and up to the crook of his neck where he allowed himself a deep inhale.
"Luke-" the name was soft, and breathless, broken, as it tore from scream torn lips.
Luke felt something in himself break, that carefully placed guard that allowed him to thread the line between servitude and desire bent.
He kept his hands folded at either side of Din, gazing down at the Mandalorian, were he not a Jedi, he would give in, listen to every Instinct, Alpha and other to worship the man, worship the one who was far too kind for his own good, who was patient and caring, strong and dangerous, who challenged everything Luke knew and was without even realizing.
"Luke-"
He watched as legs spread, another whimper pulling from teeth bitten lips.
The silent question was obvious.
And afterall it wasn't out of bounds of what Luke had said he would do. But now as his mind was being forced through turmoil he didn't know if he could without crossing that line.
Din took Luke's silence for something else as Luke hovered over him, Din tensed, his glazed eyes staring at Luke, "I'm sorry." He began to shift away on shaking arms.
Luke blinked, coming back to himself, "Sorry?"
"You're a good person, I should've known you wouldn't say no, and you're a jedi, you don't have to I, you did enough."
Luke swallowed, guilt...no, no that's not what he wanted. "No. That's not why..." He broke off in a huff, he didn't know how to put into words what he wanted to say.
So made quick work of untying his pants before settling between Din's legs, crawling closer to settle himself against the other. "I am not doing this out of a duty , if it truly bothered me I would've said no do you understand?"
Din nodded slowly.
"Good, now just focus on me, get out of your head," Luke instructed, lining himself up to Din's entrance.
There was a moment of stillness, as Luke held himself atop the other, muscle tense so as not to thrust in before Din was ready. He would not hurt the man more than he already would eventually do.
He hadn't realized he had closed his eyes until callous fingers brushed over his brow and eyes, trailing a path down to his nose.
"Are you alright?"
Luke bit back a smile, "I believe I should be asking you that, bit yes," he mumbled, opening his eyes.
"I'm alright too."
Luke stared into brown eyes a moment before resting a hand against the other's wide hip, shifting slightly before thrusting in.
~
It was hard to know how long they had gone at it, but it had been long enough that Din's pleasure gasps turned into needless desperate moans. And strangled breath.
"Luke, Luke, Ni Kar'tayl gar-"
Luke leaned down, capturing those lips before they could finish. Aiming hard thrust against the spot that made Din scream.
The omega broke off, arching off the bed as far as he could before Luke pressed him down with the weight of his own body, holding his hips down with his hand and driving his hips into him.
He couldn't bear to hear those words, his tightly held resolve was already crumbling from each brush of their skin, if Din actually spoke those forsaken words Luke would crumble.
Nails dug into his back and arms, leaving marks in their wake as Din dragged them down. He pulled away from the kiss, a trail of saliva connecting them as he moved his mouth to the crook of Luke's neck. Mouthing at the skin, an apologetic caress.
He knew.
Luke leaned down, pressing a phantom of a kiss to damp skin in response. His own silent apology.
He rolled his hips, aiming for deeper and was rewarded by a choked off scream as Din threw his head back. A new wave of slick was running down Din's thighs making the slide looser, allowing Luke to go faster, the squelch that sounded between them urging Luke to go faster, just to draw out those puffs of sounds from the man beneath him.
He could feel his own release creeping up toward him, building up in his stomach as his cock grew harder, his knot approaching.
He focused on it, as Din clenched around him, warm and wet and trembling.
And as they spelled together he released the pleasure he felt into the force. Silencing any moan that would've been drawn for his lips.
With a measured exhale he braced himself on his hands, looking down at the other, who was breathing hard, "Are you alright?"
His only response was a slurred mmm? Which told Luke enough.
With a hum he rolled, holding Din close so as not to pull against his knot.
It wasn't a full knot, so they didn't have to wait as long but he still didn't want to risk giving the man any unnecessary pain.
So as they waited, Luke allowed himself to rib soothing circles along Din's back, as the other fell in and out of sleep.
~
Luke splashed his face with water, cupping a hand to his mouth as he centered himself.
There is no emotion, there is peace,
The words seemed harder to believe.
There is no emotion, there is peace.
As he forced the emotions down he swallowed against the bile in his throat as he thought of the man, laying in a heap of their own filth, waiting for him to return.
Luke splashed more water on his face, combing a hand through his hair.
There is no emotion, there is peace,
There is no ignorance, only knowledge,
There is no passion, there is serenity ,
There is no death, there is the force.
He released a slow breath.
There is the force, and he was one with the force, meant to serve.
Wetting a towel, Luke made his way back to the bed. Stopping just short of it, watching as Din breathed softly, the pillow still clutched to his chest, his hair damp and stuck to his forehead, his legs still spread obscene from where they had fallen from Luke's shoulders. He could make out hand prints along the tan thigh and hips along with bite marks which had slowly started to fade around the chest and collarbone.
Luke closed his eyes, There was no emotion.
With steady steps he walked closer until his knees hit the side of the bed. "Din." He mumbled, rasping his knuckles against an ankle.
The man mumbled thoughtlessly, eyes fluttering behind his lids but did not open.
With a slight smile Luke wrapped a hand around the ankle. Calling slightly on the force as he pulled Din toward him, using it to lift him so as not to disturb his rest. He held the leg up against his chest as he began to wipe between the man's thigh, trailing up to his groin. Working away the slick and cum.
Luke sent a calming feeling through the force as he worked his way between Din's folds, careful with each stroke as the other flinched from oversensitivity. The lips were red and puffy , he'd have to get some ice or bacta...or both once he was done.
He folded the towel, working along the rest of Din's body, brushing his damp hair from in his eyes, and wiping drool from his lips and scruff.
Once he was done, Luke pulled the sheets from the bed, settling Din back down in the middle of the bed, arranging him in a more comfortable position before draping his clock around the other.
Pulling on a loose pair of pants, Luke grabbed his lightsaber and headed outside.

Chapter Text
Din woke to the sound of his own purring. A deep rumble of content as he snuggled into the smell of rain and earth that surrounded him like a blanket.
He felt relaxed, a feeling that he hadn't felt in a long time. As if he was safe to just melt inro the comfortable bed and forget about the world around him.
As he took in another deep breath, nuzzling into the scent, that's when the shock of reality hit him.
His heat had started, and he was without suppressants he had made it three days before it had become unbearable and Luke had-
Luke had offered to help him...
Din sat up suddenly, blinking back black dots as the world swam, his heart hammering in his stomach.
He felt himself shaking, as he pulled the blankets off him. Only to realize they weren't blankets but a cape- Luke's cape and-
he couldn't keep the bile down. Running to the fresher, he threw himself at the toilet, dry heaving whatever contents were left in his throat.
White hot shame flooded through him as the memories of his heat riddled brain came back to him. He had told Luke Skywalker that he loved him, or rather he had meant to before the other had cut him off with his lips. Din closed his eyes, kneeling back on his heels with a deep sigh. There was no point in dwelling on it now, not when the damage was already done. Yet his nerves refused to calm. He curled in on himself as he tried to calm his breathing and- good grief the world was spinning and the shuddering of the ground didn't help. Little earthquakes were normal on the forested planet whenever Luke's children were training with the ways to manipulate the force. But did they have to start so darn early when Din already felt as though his world was spinning, richotechting right out of his control and -oh dank farrik. Kids.
Din moved a shaking hand to between his thighs, pressing just within his folds to feel the evidence of swollen lips, they hadn't used protection.
But then again Luke hadn't really knotted and pregnancy during heat wasn't a guarantee unless both the omega and alpha went through their heat and runt together. Or if one was close to the other. Luke's runt wasn't for another few weeks so they were fine.
They should be fine.
But what if...Were they even allowed to have a pup? Even if Luke wasn't present in their lives, a child-whether you wanted them or not- was still an attachement. And even despite that Din was mand'alor, whether he liked it or not, he had a duty to the people...his people .
With a heavy sigh Din folded his head to his knees. Even now he wondered if it would be worth it just to- run away. Leave the darksaber to Bo-Katan, she would rule far better than him. But she refused to challenge him in combat.
Din released a shaky breath, running a hand through his hair, this was all a mess, one Din didn't want to deal with. Not until a bath atleast, after that he could figure out just what to do.
The cool water was calming against his warm skin. Falling gently against bruises of fingers that had been burned into his skin from last night's activities. Din rinbed his forehead against the wall, trying to physically push away any and all thoughts of the night before. Of Luke and his strength, the way he smelt and felt-
Din but back a groan as his hands trailed down to his groin, still sore was before, but twitching with excitement.
Din shuddered, pressing closer to the wall, this wasn't right, his brain shouldn't Stull feel so muddled. He wasn't some youngling , he shouldn't be affected by memories. But- the thrill of seeing that side of Luke, so different from the calm and collected jedi he was so used to. The passion and the desperation to hold onto the ways of the jedi.
Din swore under his breath, turning the water until it was ice cold. Shivering as it beat against his skin.
But he didn't care. He had to clear his thoughts.
Once he was done he turned off the water, shaking his hair out if his eyes as he ,wrapped a towel around his waist. Slowly making his way out of the tub.
The house was silent, almost too silent without Grogu's soft little babbles. Even Luke's quiet footsteps and the the slight noise of his clothing as he moved.
Grogu was staying at the temple with the rest of Luke's students and Luke- well Din had yet to see the man after tonight.
With a swallow Din looked over the robe he had originally taken out. He hated wearing his armor during his heats, even after, his skin was always sensitive. But he also wanted to check on Luke, even though the man had said it was alright and he had no problem helping Din out , in the aftermath he wasn't so sure that still stood.
Pulling his armor from the trunk Din kept it in. He made quick work of slipping it on, ignoring the tingling feeling along his skin as he adjusted his cape.
The last piece was his darksaber, as he clicked it onto his belt he suddenly felt a thousand times heavier. Not even the familiar press of his helmet helped.
He turned on his heels, heading in the direction of the clearing. He wouldn't outright seek Luke, but he would give the other the option to come to him. They would always meet to go over lughtsaber forms just as the sun came up.
If Luke wanted to talk they could
~
Din had been perhaps too happy that Luke was already at their usual meeting spot when he reached the clearing doing his best to calm his hormones and scent so as not to alert the Alpha to his feelings. Now, panting and blinking through black spotted eyes, he was slightly regretting coming here today.
"You're sloppy."
Din had no time to process Luke's words before the man was upon him, emerald lightsaber arching through the air. Din had always known Luke was fast, and strong. Knew that since the day he had come to save Grogu from Moff Gideon.
Had learned that since Luke began to train him to use the darksaber.
But today Luke seemed to have a new speed and strength that Din had never seen. Or that Luke had never showed him.
If he didn't know any better he'd say Luke was angry.
Din gritted his teeth as Luke pressed his weight down, their locked blades getting uncomfortably closer to Din's face. His hands shook under the presser.
Luke's jaw clenched, relaxing his arm, their blades slid off each.
Din kicked Luke in the stomach, putting space between them, he brought his foot behind himself, knocking against his darksaber with his durasteel boot, swinging the blade back around in time to block Luke's strike.
Was he trying to kill him?
They continued this back and forth, Luke making pointed jabs while Din backed away, blocking and pivoting to avoid getting hit.
He was feeling oddly tired, and very winded.
What was going on?
Din swallowed back the worry as he moved to block another hit.
He was too slow, a wave of fear hit him as the emerald saber sliced toward his stomach, causing him to freeze.
To his surprised Luke faltered, which allowed Din to get a punch to the side of his face. The Jedi stumbled, his grip on his weapon loosening before tightening once more.
With a practiced flick of his wrist, he brought the saber down.
Knocking Din's blade out of his hand, the plasma blade burning the skin of his knuckles.
With a wince, he took a few steps back, diving toward his saber only to be suddenly flung back. Flying across the clearing and into a tree.
The air knocked out of him and a wave of nausea washed over him.
He felt sluggish, his movements slow as he pushed himself up.
His back met the hard bark of the tree as Luke pressed against him, his elbow slung across Din's throat, baring down.
"You'd be dead by now."
Din turned his face away from the heat of lightsaber. Meeting darkened blue eyes, "Well I wasn't aware I would be fighting for my life. " with you. He thought bitterly.
Luke's eyes moved over his face slowly. Or rather his masked face, though he wouldn't be surprised if Luke could see him through it.
Luke's eyes softened as the anger dissipated into confusion before even that was wiped off his face. Instead replaced by a mask of calm and indifference. "If you're fighting someone they won't go easy on you," He said slowly.
Din scoffed, "I know, that's why you're supposed to teach me how to use it." He mumbled, lifting his chin to ease the pressure against his neck. "Not try to kill me."
Luke frowned slightly, "I wasn't trying to kill you."
"You almost cut me in half. " Din couldn't help the anger in his voice.
"Your reaction time was slow. Slower than usual."
Din tried not to take offense, but even he couldn't deny the fact that that was true but it still didn't get rid of the fact that Luke was fighting him as though he were fighting a clone trooper or some other darksider. "You've been angry since this morning." He paused, feeling bile rise to his throat, "If this is about last night-"
"-It's not!" Luke snapped only to tense. His eyes fell closed as he put more distance between them. When he spoke again his voice was calm, "It's not."
Din waited patiently, Luke seemed as though he wanted to say something more. "But?"
Luke tilted his head with a raised brow, "But what?"
"But what else?" Din urged, making his way to his saber, clipping it back to his belt. When he turned back Luke was watching him, eyes distant.
"I suppose you could say I woke up on the wrong side of the bed." He smiled slightly, laughing softly as though he made some sort of joke. Despite himself Din found himself smiling as well, grateful for his helmet.
"The force seems troubled, I suppose it's affecting me far more then I believed possible."
Din stepped closer, "From what you told me you seem to have a strong connection to the force."
Luke pursed his lips, tilting his head slightly toward Din, but had yet to take his eyes off the horizon. "Yes. But the force has been trouble before and it hasn't bothered me like this." His eyes snapped to Din, "I am sorry that I took it out on you, I'm not entirely sure why I've been so worked up."
Din tried for a shrug, though it perhaps came out as more of a grimace as he flushed under the intense gaze. "It's fine, just don't do it again."
Luke inclined his head.
"But, you said it's bothering you because of your connection to the force, is Grogu.."
"He is fine, he doesn't seem troubled through our bond. Infact he seems very content." Luke answered.
Din released a breath he didn't know he was holding, "Good thats good." He paused, "Not that, you feeling troubled is any better..." He trialed off as Luke held up a hand, chuckling once more, the sound made something in Din swell with satisfaction. "Better me than him, or any if the children. Though I do want to know why I feel this way." He mumbled more ti himself, rubbing a hand down his smooth jaw, as if to stroke a beard. A gesture Din had noticed Luke doing whenever he were in deep thought or considering any sort of option. He wondered exactly where and whom he had picked it up from.
"I assume your answer can only be found through meditation?" Din asked, though he was sure he already knew the answer.
Luke's lips twitched upwars before smoothing out. "I'm glad to know you've kept some of my lessons."
Din rolled his eyes, "Hard to forget when it's basically all you do. Do you even sleep?"
Luke met his eyes with an amused glint, ''I'm not sure do I?"
Din felt himself flush as his mind went back to the night of their coupling, waking up in the middle of the night still atop Luke's flaccid cock, listening to the soft snores of the man as he was tucked into a warm and muscled chest.
He pushed that thought aside, as Luke raised a brow, terrified that the man felt his sudden spike of arousal. Damn, he was better than this. Din thought as he cleared his suddenly dry throat, "Well you get on with your meditation, I'll go get Grogu. Though after." Din paused, meeting the other man's gaze through his visor, "When you get yourself all sorted out, I think we should talk. " quieter he added, "Before I head back to Mandalore."
Luke set his shoulders, giving a curt nod, "Of course. I will be back for lunch. Until then, may the force be with you."
Don gave his own nod, turning to begin his trek up the hill and toward the temples. Ignoring the wave of inertia as he did.

Chapter Text
Din stumbled to the fresher, leaning against the counter as he splashed water on his face as a wave of nausea consumed him, nearly bringing him to his knees.
He startled at a tug to his pants legs.
Din turned to sit with his back against the counter, giving a wary smile to Grogu as he rubbed a hand over his mouth. "I'm alright, just feeling a little under the weather. "
The child tilted his head, ears falling slightly. He waddled forward with his tiny little legs until he was mostly in Din's lap.
Grogu cooed as Din stroked a ear. "I'm okay kid."
Grogu raised a hand, touching it to Din's stomach, his ears raising in the way that it did when he found something interesting.
Grogu babbled excitedly, hitting his hand against Din's stomach.
The action made a surge of anxiousness fill Din. He grabbed Grogu's hand, unsure of why he felt so scared at such a normal gesture.
Grogu huffed, blowing out a puff of air, rising his other hand and hitting it to Din's stomach again.
"ad'ika." He snapped, catching the other hand.
Grogu didn't seem to notice, his eyes glinted and he kept jumping excitedly.
Din frowned, "Why are you so excited about my stomach for?"
Grogu squeeled, the sound almost making Din wince. "Are you hungry?"
Grogu wrinkled his nose as Din rose, holding him close. "I think there's still some frog legs left for you." He mumbled into Grogu's head.
Din wrinkled his nose as Grogu grabbed it, cooing with a large smile on his face. As once again his other hand began hitting at Din's stomach. As Din fed him his fried fish legs, courtesy of Luke.
Despite the turing gesture, Din's heart melted at how happy the kid looked.
"Din sir!" Din tensed at the sound of yelling children, he had forgotten it was so close to dinner time and that Luke's students would be returning home for food.
He made an aborted movement to grab the towel from the counter when Nyra stepped forward. "Master Luke said we should keep our blindfolds on so you don't have to worry about getting your helmet." The fuchsia twi'lek grinned as she gracefully made her way towards the table despite being blindfolded. Cirus followed, albeit less grateful as he knocked his head into the doorway with a slight thump. Din winced on the boys behalf, moving forward to lead him to the table.
"Any thing you lot want to eat?"
"If Grogu will share, some frog legs would be great!" Nyra said cheerily from her seat next to the little green child. Grogu made a distressed sound to which Nyra giggled, "I'm only joking, master Luke was saying he would make us rootleaf stew."
Din pursed his lips, he wasn't the cook, and he had only had rootleaf stew once before with Luke. But he remembered the just of it; mushrooms, spices, ginger, garlic and collared greens.
"Alright, I'll try my best but no promises."
The children laughed as he made his way to the small kitchen.
He enjoyed the small silence as he prepared the stew, humming as the children laughed.
"Hey mister Djarin, who else is here besides us?"
Din felt his shoulders tense as he slid the cut vegetables into the boiling pot. Eyes scanning their surroundings as he turned to face the kids. "Pardon?"
Cirus frowned, tilting his head. "Grogu says that he felt another presence.... around you?"
Nyra clicked her tongue, "not around you, in you."
Cirus blushed, pouting, "I was close."
"It does not pay for a jedi to be close." Nyra recited with all the wisdom of an old sage.
Normally their banter would make Din chuckle but he was too busy staring at Grogu who stared back.
Din raised a hand to his stomach, feeling as though he were about to leave his body.
"Is the stew almost done?"
Cirus' voice broke Din out of his silent panic.
"Yes, I'm just sharing it out." He stuttered, piling soup into three bowls.
"Where is your patience Cirus?"
"Oh come off it."
Grogu babbled something that made Nyra make a satisfied ha! As Din set the bowls before the two. Settling at Grogu's other side with the other bowl.
Grogu wouldn't eat much but Din wanted to get him off of his mainly frog diet so they'd just share as normal.
Dinner had gone as it usually did, sending a calm through Din being surrounded by younglings. He had gotten used to making little conver with Luke's students, so much so that he had began to look forward to it. So throughout dinner he told them stories of his and Grogu's adventures. Grogu adding on through what force bind the three of them had. As even trying to add on using his words of broken babbles. Leaving Din to clean up what stew fell against his chin.
It wasn't until dinner had dyed down and the stew was mostly gone, devoured by Cirus and Nyra, which made something in Din's chest preen seeing as they must've liked his cooking.
That is training was exceptionally hard and they were just very hungry- that Luke returned with silent steps and a troubled mind that Din could sense even without the force.
Grogu tilted his head, making a troubled huff that was much too long for a child his size.
Din turned his head toward the Jedi, watching as he crossed the room, removing his cloak with slow movements. Din but his tongue, waiting for Luke to speak, it was clear the man had something on his mind, it was only a matter of when he decided to share.
Grogu made another huff which drew Luke's attention, the blonde looked tired, but he tried for a smile, raising a gloved hand. "There's no need to worry Grogu."
Grogu gurgled, making grabbed hands toward his master.
Luke moved toward him, putting a hand atop his head and giving two pats. "It will all be fine in due time." Blue eyes snapped to Din, "May I borrow you for a moment?"
Din swallowed under the intense gaze, Nyra and Cirus had their heads turned toward them, a crease in-between their brows.
"Is everything alright master."
"Yes padawans all is fine."
Cirus poured and Nyra pursed her lips but said nothing.
Seeing ni other option Din nodded, turning to the kids, "Couls you wash Grogu up and get him to bed?"
That made their smiles return. "Of course!" They bolted from their chairs, washing up the dishes far quicker then Din would've liked before pulling Grogu from his chair. Setting him on the ground. "Okay Grogu, you'll have to lead us okay."
Grogu clapped happily, as he started forward , clapping ever so often to let Nyra and Cirus know where he went.
Din huffed amusingly, it was clearly a game they had played before.
He washed up his own bowl, taking the time to gather himself before following Luke out of the house.
"I've done some thinking."
Din leaned against the wall, crossing his arms as Luke began to slowly pace. For how long he had been meditating and along that, how much thinking he had done he didn't seem to have his thoughts in order. No matter what the serene calm that radiated off of him said, Din knew his tells.
The way he touched the fingers of his gloved hand to one another, and the way his brow raised slightly in irritation of not having a tight enough leash on his emotions.
Din had learned to be patient, giving Luke time to think through the rainstorm that his thoughts were when they got out of control from him.
Either he'd contiune with the task he was doing before or fill the silence with his mindless ramblings.
Din didn't mind doing so now since he also had something to say.
"-I think I'm pregnant"
"-what happened was a mistake."
Din shut his mouth, doing his best to keep his face neutral as Luke turned to face him, eyes wide before smoothing over into a perfect mask.
Din would give anything to have his helmet, but he had taken to not wearing it around Grogu and Luke because..on Grogu's side, Luke was family and because of that, Luke was technically clan.
But force he needed it now as he felt his eyes begin to sting. He wasn't an idiot, he knew that their tryst during his heat was nothing more then Luke helping him , a simple no strings attached agreement but-
They had been getting closer, had gotten closer. Din knew about Luke's past and Luke his. They had visited each other over the months. Din had been allowed to stay during Grogu's lessons.
They had shared a kiss within the first week of Din's recent visits.
Luke had even began to scent him and-
Well Din had thought he meant something to Luke.
Had hoped he meant something.
Luke cleared his throat, "You're pregnant?"
Din did his best to keep his eyes on Luke, wanting nothing more than to curl in on himself amd wrap a hand around himself. Make himself small and unseen. All those stupid emotional omega krifing instincts. Instincts he'd only felt comfortable enough, safe enough to let out around Luke.
"I think. I've felt...odd ever since. Well you know. And the kids seem to fele a presence...around me." He winced, "in me."
Luke met Din's eyes, "Are you certain, isn't it a little early to tell?"
Din rolled his shoulders back, looking away, "No, and I don't know, if your students could tell, couldn't you with your jedi magic. "
Usually term jedi magic would make Luke huff with laughter but it did nothing if not make him looked slightly annoyed before even that expression if wiped from his face.
Luke closed his eyes, "I've been around you and I've felt nothing. And I still feel nothing." He said and Din could hear the relief in his voice.
It felt like a blaster to the chest.
"Okay then, I guess thats settled. So back to what you were saying, about how it was a mistake." Din couldn't keep the bitterness out of his words and he couldn't deny the slight satisfaction he felt when Luke flinched.
His hands flexed at his sides, "I have my duty to the order."
Din understood that but the omega, it didn't. It felt nothing but betrayl and agony.
"A dying order." Din snapped, regretting the words as soon as they left.
A look of anger flashed in Luke's eyes, "The order which keep the universe safe, and which your son is apart of." He closed the distance between them. "When I helped you I made it clear that nothing could change between us, I am not allowed attachments."
Din tilted his head slightly, "not allowed." He whispered, "Would you if you could?"
Luke flinched back, taking two steps away to put some distance between them. And Din wanted to scream and grab him, pull him closer and curl around him.
"I'm sorry."
The words sent a chill down Din's spine.
"I'm sorry." Luke repeated, "I knew this might happen and yet I still agreed. " He tucked his hands behind his back, body language closing off, disappearing into his perfect jedi persona. "You don't have my training to keep sex and emotions separate, not to mention you were vulnerable and not in your right mind. So for that I apologize. "
It sounded patronizing. And the anger in Din had reached its boiling point."Don't think you're above me with your jedi code, I am not some emotional omega."
"You seem very emotional." Luke said as if recounting the weather.
Din felt his lip curl in a growl, "I'm allowed to be emotional when you've lead me on."
Luke's brow raised, "and how may I ask, did I do that?"
"Scenting me, helping me with my nest. So forgive me if I happen to feel something more for you after weeks of being with you acting as though you're my alpha. I've had plenty of sex with betas and Alphas alike and felt nothing because they haven't acted as though I was theirs."
Luke lowered his eyes, his brow furrowing slightly, "Well then I apologize all the same, I assumed the scenting would help you on your bounties. "
Din snorted, "No you didn't."
Blue eyes snapped to him, eyes dark, "I did."
"I've had plenty of bounties and never had to be scented, my armor keeps my scent hidden, as you've pointed out."
Luke shook his head, with a sigh. "As I said, this all was a mistake. "
Something in Din broke and he felt the fight bleed out if him. Perhaps it was the set of Luke's jaw or the determination in his eyes. But there was something there that told Din he had already lost the argument, perhaps even before they had even started fighting.
He pulled himself away, taking three steps back.
"I think I need a few days to clear my head, but I feel I'm inclined to agree with you. Please bring Grogu to Mandalore when he's able, I will send you the coordinates."
With that he turned on his heels, walking towards where his ship was based.
He wanted to say goodbye to Grogu and the other children, but he didn't think he could stick around so long without breaking down and begging Luke to reconsider.
Especially when the tears were already falling down his face.

Chapter Text
Luke watched Din leave, his hands clasped together and the alpha inside him whined and scratched at his chest. Begging him to make things right between him and his omega. The smell of sadness that had followed Din still clung to Luke, souring his room that had smelled so sweetly of them. But this was for the best. He couldn't risk becoming attached. He had already gone too far.
Closing his eyes, Luke pressed his forehead against the window before pushing off of it. Taking a step back. He prided himself on not jumping as he met the eyes of the man reclined half sitting and half laying on his bed, a leg thrown over the other.
"Well you certainly didn't get your tact from me."
Luke tilted his head, "What tact would that be may I ask."
"Exactly my dear, what tact indeed. "
Luke didn't bother to hide his annoyed frown as he walked toward the man, "Hello Master, how have you been?"
Kenobi waved a hand, " Rather the same Luke, following the whims of the force though I have to admit I made a sudden detour once I saw how much of a disaster you are. Truly worse than your father I dare say."
"I am not like my father."
Kenobi's gaze softened, Perhaps or perhaps nit it is not in our power to choose."
Luke wrinkled his nose, "You've been spending time with Master Yoda I see."
Even with the hue of his blue corporeal form Luke could see the glint of mischief flash in Kenobi's eyes. " Those before us, we are guided by." He said with a grin Luke couldn't help but return.
"Not that I am not happy to see you master, but why have you decided to come now?" It wasn't that Luke wasn't happy to see old Ben, he really was, the giddiness that filled him was proof enough. But he was sure this wasn't a regular drop in and chat that they more frequently shared in his younger years.
Kenobi stroked his beard, "I merely have a question I want to ask you."
Luke tilted his head in acknowledgement.
"The omega, Din Djarin, are you involved with him?"
Luke felt as thoughhe was fighting Vader again, the feeling of dread upon realizing that Vader was his father was nearly equal to this.
"I didn't think this would be such a difficult question. "
Luke shook his head, "Because it's a rather pointless question. Do think of what happened to my father when he fell in love. I am not my father."
Obi wan frowned, sitting up, his hands falling between his legs as he leaned forward. "And I never said you were. "
"Then why ask in the first place? Attachments are forbidden. They're what lead jedi to the dark side."
Obi wan looked saddened at that, "They are aren't they?" He smiled thinly, raising a hand to tap at his chest, a gesture which Luke had seen him do in his life many a times. Only instead of holding a hand there his hand clenched than fell. A mirthless laugh falling from his lips as his gaze grew distant. "Oh yes, I didn't have it when I died."
Luke had to mentally turn himself for the abrupt subject change. "Pardon Master?"
Obiwam met his eyes, "Oh, merely an old trinket of mine." He paused, the glint returning to his eyes, "Oh yes, Luke , if you could be so very kind, I have an old trinket I left in my house. I'd hate for it to be alone for much longer could you possibly get it for me."
Luke frown deepened as his confusion spiraled. "An old trinket in your old house? Master it has been years since your death." The word had stopped causing him to flinch and choke on sobs, since he'd learn to get his emotions under control. "Don't you think someone else moved in? I'd hardly like to show up unannounced. "
Obi wan waved a hand, "Oh nonsense, my hut was secluded from what little civilization there was, to live there would be suicide."
Luke bit his tongue, as the thought of you did, and so did your friend Cody. Flashed through his mind.
"Alright, but hiw will I find it? I'll need a little more information than 'your old trinket.' "
Obiwan smiled softly, "That also won't be a problem my dear, it's the only thing worth something in that old ruin."
Luke sighed, pushing himself up, "Alright."
Obi wan hummed ,"Thank you Luke truly. I think it's high time it found a new owner."
Luke wouldn't lie that his curiosity was peaked.
He bowed lightly, I am glad to be of help."
Obi wan stood as well, clasping his hand before him. "I know you are. Though Luke, don't think I didn't notice you ignoring my first question. Since you're doing such a large favor for me I will allow you some time to think on it."
Obi wan gave a large smile which made his cheeks and eyes crinkle before he was gone.
Leaving Luke alone in the room which still smelled of him and Din. Now the sour smell of Din's sadness being filled with his own dread.
Paz was waiting at the loading dock when Din landed.
Standing tall and imposing in his blue and brown armor. Looking every right the royal guard he had volunteered to be-despite Din's protest.
"We were afraid you'd run away."
Din smiled slightly, knocking his vambrace against Paz's outstretched one, "I'd have left a note or better yet, I'd left the darksaber if I were to."
Paz hummed, falling into step beside Din. It was oddly comforting to walk beside him. He was tall and bulky, quite literally the perfect picture of what an alpha should be. His presents offered a safety Din was craving, especially after everything that had happened.
As they walked down the metal path, the walkway narrowed. It was the first part under construction. Din's main input was that there should be a place to welcome others into the planet before reaching the main city Incase they wanted to rest. It was like a second palace but one for everyone.
Din hummed, as their shoulders bumped together.
"Amd left it useless for all of us." Paz mumbled.
Din grinned under his helmet, "I'm sure my claim would've worn off after a year or two."
Paz came to a stop, his hold on Din causing him to also stop. With a simple click he removed his helmet. His eyes were darker blue than Luke's, slightly on the pale side, a mixture of grey hidden in the irises. "Your claim will always be on it until you lose a challenge or die. " a slight smirk pulled at the corner of his lips, "And I certainly don't see that happening for a very, very long time."
Din pressed his lips together, feeling slightly uneasy at the stare. "I still might change that though, imagine a planet left ungoverned for months just because the leader ran away."
Paz sighed, "You aren't convincing me that you won't run away."
"Why? Are you trying to put a plan in place incase I do."
Paz chuckled, low and deep, that Din could almost hear it rumbling in his chest, "I might take to chaining you up."
Din tilted his head, feeling his cheeks warm slightly, "Wouldn't that be treason?"
Paz shrugged, "Is it?"
Din scoffed. As they passed under the glided bridge- a place for outsiders and passer byers to park their ships and speeders.
Din felt a sudden dread as they pushed the doors open, a seemingly glass door but the mirror was one way while the inside was lined with Beskar steel. A compromise, Bo Katan wanted to have a more ornamental building to welcome those to Mandalore but Din wanted a fortress of safety so they had met in the middle.
"Is Katan back?"
Paz nodded. "Yes, she's actually expecting you in the council room. Properly dressed, as she said."
Din tensed under his armor.
That was another thing that Din had tried to force Bo-Katan to compromise but that was hardly achieved.
The former rulers of Mandalore, such as duchess Satine Kryze had taken to wearing full ornamental robes with head and arm pieces.
Din didn't want to. But Bo-Katan had made it clear as his advisor that it was 'unbecoming for the Duke of mandalore to be waltzing about in full battle armor as if waiting to start a war with anyone and everyone.' So Din was expected to wear the robes, the only adjustment Bo-Katan would make was that he could wear a slicker and less bulky version of his vambrace, chest and shoulder pieces and of course his helmet and boots.
They crossed the wide hall where multiple seats resided, the usual guards where lounging about enjoying their break. Din was quick to wave them off as they stumbled to their feet to bow and salute. As he and Paz crossed the common area to the grand steps, making their way to the upper levels where Din's room was.
Din's room was far larger then he wanted, but as Bo had said, it was a room for a ruler...which he now was. The bed was a four poster bed with a sea of pillows and blankets which Din had to admit was helpful during the times his heat caught him at home. There were also little plushies and toys for Grogu and a shirt and blanket or two from Bo, Paz, Cobb, Peli motto and Boba that he kept folded neatly along the sides for whenever he felt the need to nest. His pillow was currently wrapped in one of Skywalkers tunics which Din had half the mind to remove. But as he went to, he couldn't find the will to actually do it. Instead bringing it to his face and inhaling the scent, faded somewhat but the smell of earth and rain and the surprising smell of lilacs were hard to miss. And he felt tears prickle at his eyes before dropping the pillow.
Luke wasn't here, Luke didn't want him, Luke was a jedi he couldn't want Din. Thinking about him would do nothing for him. And the stress he knew from being around Grogu was hardly good for an infant let alone an unborn one.
Din pushed himself to the other side of the bed, where his garments were already lady out.
His beskar armor cleaned and polished. The symbols of the four creeds clearly seen on the back piece. The robes that were laid out was a smooth green silk. Green for duty. A small slight at Din's unwantingness to actually accept his place as rightful ruler of Mandalore.
It wasn't that he didn't want to, it was just that he didn't think he should.
What if they found out he wasn't a born Mandalorian, and he was a four doing? It wasn't out of the norm that random people look to join the way if the mandalorians but it was that ruler ship had stayed withing pure blood familes, family Vizsla and Kryze. He was just ....a no one. A Noone that his own alpha didn't want
Din flinched at the thought, no, Luke wasn't his Alpha. Luke wasn't his anything.
With jerky movements Din stepped himself of his armor, dressing as quickly as possible.
He might very been mand'alor but it was hardly smart to keep Bo-Katan Kryze waiting.
Paz was standing against the wall opposite the door seemingly lost in thought when Din came out. The alpha's attention snapping to him as he shut the door behind him.
Dark blue eyes trailed over Din as Paz fell into parade rest, helmet clasped between his hands
His gaze looked down and up deliberately slowly as if taking in every detail of Din, the intense focus made him want to squirm but he held himself perfectly still until Paz was done. The man gave a satisfied nod before setting his helmet atop his head.
The gesture made Din pause, tilting his head in question.
Paz clasped his hands behind his back, "It suits you." Was all he said, turning on his heels and waiting for Din to lead the way.
Bo-Katan raised her head, her brow raising as she gave an appreciative hum, "So you can clean up nicely. You almost look like a ruler." She said from her seat at the round table just below the throne. It was newly built, Din wanted more of a democracy, a place where the cla s could come to a decision together rather than one person's word is law.
He was surprised that Bo was so on board with it. Though he doubted she'd be happy once Din shared his plans for removing the thrones all together.
"It's not like I had a choice." Din mumbled, walking up to the throne-his throne. He leaned against the armrest, flinching at Bo's glare before settling into it. He had slept on grounds more comfortable then it. Shifting slightly, Din leaned a hand against the armrest. Taking in the clan crest thay stood proudly engraved on each wall. "And what do you mean I almost look like a ruler, isn't that what I am?"
Bo rolled her eyes, "You actually have to act like a ruler, a pretty saber and some decent clothes don't make you one. The people expect an announcement of your return. As your advisor, I advise that you have a banquet. It will allow your people to see you in a natural light and to socialize with each other , other clans as well as you. And not to mention also see the progress of rebuilding. "
Din leaned back, trying bit to slouch, "Well it sounds like you have it all figured out." He mumbled pulling his legs up, crossing one under the other.
Bo gave a exasperated sigh as she glared at Din's exposed leg. The fabric of his robe bellowing around his waist. He couldn't care less.
"I'll allow this seeing as you won't be doing that during the banquet."
Din rolled his head back against the throne, "Like they have to get used to me, I have to get used to all of this." He said waving a hand around the palace.
"You don't have time to get used to all of this. You are the mand'alor and you are a omega, you either get your shit together or risk being over thrown."
Dim straightened, glaring from beneath his helmet, "You could always challenge me for the darksaber. "
Bo shook her head, her own glare meeting Din's hidden one. "A meaningless fight seeing as you would let me win."
Din shrugged, "I don't know I am but a helpless omega , surely you could overpower me."
Paz snorted, "I've never heard a more unbelievable lie."
Din tilted his head back with a grin the other couldn't see. "What do you mean?"
Paz leaned down slightly, his large frame being the only thing Din could see, "Perhaps ask the scar on my shin, or thigh, or side, or back, or arm or neck."
Don hummed, looking down at the scar just hidden beneath the blacks Paz wore under his armor. "Scars build character."
"And wounded pride."
Din chuckled, the sound coming out with a few shorts.
Paz hummed, straightening as Din tapped a hand to his chest. He caught Bo's curious glance as his laughter died down. A look he had learned best to avoid any sort of inquiry that might come with it.
"So the banquet, just let me know the details and what I should do and can help with and I'll leave all the rest in your capable hands."
Bo rolled her eyes though the ghost of a smile was on her lips. "I'll allow you early leave since you've just come home."
Din got to his feet, smoothing down his robes, "Well since you're allowing me."
Bo made a waving motion, "yes, yes, please leave your majesty."
Din are a hasty retreat before Bo could change her mind.
A habit that would never be broken was doing perimeter checks. Even though he had a battalion of guards that did them for him, Din always liked to walk around the fortress to make sure there was no unforseen threats.
His instincts were just a little more anxious today for sonereaso , taking his time as he walked along the sides of the fortress, checking the walls for any tampering. He and Paz had done three sweeps around the ground before Paz finally spoke,"We made a garden."
That peaked Din's attention, "we...I didn't know you had an eye for agriculture. "
Paz scratched at his neck, "Well I helped here and there."
He sounded almost embarrassed, it was endearing were Din to be honest .
" I help the kids at the temple when I visit. They grow all their food."
Paz tilted his head down toward Din, though t did little to help with the way Din had to crane his neck to see him. "The other day Grogu ate a pile of the weeds we pulled out." He couldn't help the smile that reached his face in memory. Cirus had been so panicked while Nyra had fallen to the ground in a fit of laughter .
"Grogu." Paz said slowly, "How is he?"
"He doing well, his training is coming along very well, he's apparently extremely intuned with the force, he finally managed to figure out how to single out most if not all of the frogs in the pond and make them float."
Paz chuckled, "I'm not surprised he's talented when you're his buir."
Din smiled wider, feeling his omega preen with the compliment after being so ignored and rejected. Gosh he was a mess.
"I'm sure it comes more from his life before he met me."
"That doesn't mean that you're not doing a phenomenal job."
Din needed a sip of water from how warm his cheeks were. "Well, thank you "
Paz hummed, slowly coming to a stop next to a bench. It was carved of stone, detailed with intricate lines. A line of rocks formed a circle beside it, allowing the middle ti be filled with flowers if different colors and sizes. It stood as a makeshift entrance to a kanopy of willow trees all newly planted and sprouting. Creating a path that led to the open clearing where more trees and flower bushes stood. It was lovely. And clear that time and effort and care had gone into it.
"I'll take your silence for awe." Paz said as he took a seat.
Din allowed himself to fall down beside him, pulling his legs up and inhaling what he could of the flowers. It was more than lovely, it was peaceful. A calm that he hadn't known he missed settled over him. "It's amazing."
Paz smiled, spinning his helmet in his hand before setting it down. "Ya I think so too." He mumbled, running a hand through his long dark hair, disturbing the bun they had been hastily caught into. The sun hit his tan skin, shining off scars long healed along his fave, and his scruff, his goatee was beginning to form into a full beard. And Din wondered what he would look like with one. Would there be the little flakes of white sprinkled throughout it like it did the sides of his hair? Maybe it was patchy and uneven. Or would it form around his face as though it had always been there?
A shoulder nudged his and Din hadn't realized he had leaned forward. "I hope I'm not boring you."
Din hummed, "No, I'm just relaxed." He answered with a sigh.
Paz raised a brow, "Oh, you haven't been relaxed even on your little trip?"
Din thought back to Yavin, and thought back to Luke and their fight, and felt a wave of bitterness and sadness fill him at the very memories. At the realization that his Alpha- that Luke, the father of his unborn child didn't want him. Didn't want them.
Paz leaned down, his forehead knocking against Din's helmet, where his temple would be."Don't get lost in memories, they're not worth your sadness. "
Din wrinkled his nose as the shift of the beskar around his face, "And how would you know?"
Paz peered down at him from where his head rested against Din. " Because nothing's worth your sadness. "
Din swallowed, leaning slightly against Paz. He had missed this, missed his home and his friends.
Paz released calming pheromones, which almost made Din purr but he bit back the sound, instead taking to pulling his legs closer to his chest, tucking on hand to rest on his stomach.
He startled slightly as a hand fell atop his exposed thigh, though it didn't linger, Paz merely grasped the falling robe and pulled it over Din's leg to cover whatever skin was otherwise exposed. Before leaning closer to over his shoulder as a rest.
Din huffed softly as he felt his eyes drift closed. If he allowed himself this moment of peace no one could blame him, after all he could dwell on the happenings and his emotions tomorrow when he felt less like curling into a ball and being dead to the world.

Chapter Text
Luke didn't have to go through the landing port as he arrived on tatooine. Obi wan's hut was nearly on the other side of the planet, isolated in the middle of nowhere. The sands bellowed as he guided his x wing to the ground, using the force to keep the sands at bay as much as he could. He didn't want to draw any uwanted attention even though that was unlikely.
He trekked through the sand, the wind blowing sand into his face, he pulled his goggles tighter and the scarf tighter around his face. As he reached the hut, he stepped up onto the doorstep.
The force shifted and Luke found himself face to face with a blaster. "Well I'll be damned." Luke took a few steps back as the figure walked him back. They wore a flight suit and a pancho along with goggles and a scarf.
"Luke Skywalker. "
Cody pulled his goggles down as he holstered his blaster. Brown eyes crinkled with amusement.
"You've grown."
Luke was thrown for a loop, "Cody."
Brown eyes trailed over him before nodding for Luke to come inside.
Cody pulled off his scarf revealing time given wrinkles. There weren't much of them but it was easy to see them around the sides of his eyes and forehead. His hair was curl of white strands, longer then Luke had ever seen him, falling around his cheeks. And his scruff was also dusted white. He was old. Older, and it made something in Luke sadden. This was Cody as he should be, aged and still aging, living a simple life, he was a nearing seventy now, a proud sixty eight to Obi wans final fifty seven.
Luke shifted, clenching his goggles in his hand, "You still live out here, why? I thought..." He trialed off, he didn't know what he had thought. That maybe Cody had taken to living out here to help Obi wan watch over him. Or perhaps that Cody was in hiding from the empire.
Cody tilted his head as he contiuned to remove his sand riddled clothes. He pulled pulled the shirt of his flight suit off, reveal softened plains of muscle, and a long scar just below where a belly button should be. Just above it was a mangled circular scar, the skin slightly sunk."Why would I leave my home?" He asked through dry lips. Shuffling over towards the basin in the corner of the room. He dunked a canteen in it, quickly downing the water before offering it to Luke. Who took it without hesitation, it felt wrong to refuse.
Cody splashed water on his face before turning to face Luke. His gaze was one that Luke was all too familiar with, it was the gaze of a commander, one he had seen many times when he was little when Cody used to run him through his paces.
"Now, why are you here? Because I find it hard to believe after eleven years that you've suddenly felt nostalgic and decided to come visit."
Luke held himself perfectly calm, Cody may not be his teacher any more but that hardly meant that the man wouldn't still hit him over the hands if he allowed himself to squirm, afterall it had been eleven years.
"I was sent to retrieve something."
Cody raised a brow, his expression was bored, a clear indication that Luke better hurry up.
"Obi wan- master Kenobi, sent me here ti retrieve a trinket."
Cody blinked once. Twice. "A trinket." He said slowly, brows fuerowing slightly, something akin to anger, before smoothing out. "Is this some jedi magic bantha? You lot can speak to ghost?"
Luke felt his lips twitch slightly. "Well, yes."
Cody rolled his eyes, pressing a finger between the bridge of his nose. "And here I thought he was just crazy." His hand fell as his eyes danced around the small hut. "A trinket, he didn't say anything else."
"No." After a moment pause, "sir."
Cody's lips twitched. "Relax kid, I'm not a cammender anymore and I'm certainly done teaching kids."
"Of course ."
Cody met Luke's gaze with a huff. He turned towards the shelves, walking along them. "Any specific reason you need this trinket? There's alot of crap lying around here." He grabbed something off the shelf, "I doubt it's this." He tossed the object to Luke who caught it easily. Turning it over in his hand he saw that it was a scrunchy, old and worn, there was still strands of curly golden hair in it.
Perhaps from one of Cody's students? He had said he was done teaching kids.
"Did you open a small school?" He questioned, those were highly sought about in tatooine, daycares and such so that parents could go to other planets to make supply runs.
Cody snorted, "Oh force no, I haven't got the patience."
Luke frowned, turning the scrunchy along in his hand.
Cody huffed again, still rifling through the shelves, "He really said nothing about it, because to be honest kid, I'm not a young as I once was and I really wanna put up my feet."
Luke frowned, feeling slightly bad. "He only said it was the only thing of value here."
Cody turned back to him, expression neutral, "Oh really."
Before Luke got to answer , a flicker of blue appeared in his vision, Obi wan stood slightly between them, "Of material value."
Luke's eyes flickered towards Obiwan before looking back to Cody, "Of material value."
Cody tilted his head, a smile pulling at his lips, "Is he here right now?"
Luke only nodded, as he watched Obi wan hastily smooth down his robes. Why? He didn't know.
Cody tapped his finger along the shelves, " Could you inquire from him, if this little trinket is what I think it is, what should happen if I don't want to give it away."
Obi wan sighed, smoothing a hand down his beard, "I have my reasons." He mumbled.
Luke turned back to Cody, "He said he has his reasons."
Cody scoffed, "So do I. Honestly if I'd known all this jedi shit would follow me..." He didn't finish his sentence. Instead, he reached below his shirt, tugging at the silver chain that was hidden beneath it. He pulled it from around his neck, fiddling with it before throwing something to Luke as he set the chain back around his neck.
Luke turned the object around in his hand. He already knew what it was. But still, looking upon the silver obsidian band hit him far harder than he'd care to admit. " You were married. "
Cody snorted, "ya, you thought I would live out here just for the heck of it? "
" I thought it was a loyalty thing " Luke looked to Obi-Wan who was laughing, wiping tears away from his eyes.
Cody chuckled lightly, "It was a loyalty thing but not what you're thinking."
Luke felt the strong need to sit, so he did. Right where he stood. " But, when?"
Cody sat on the couch infront of him, "right before the war ended. In private of course, Rex was our witness."
Luke atared at the ring and scrunchy in his hands, " You had children ."
Cody smiled softly. "Two. And three grandkids."
"Where are they?"
"Well Raddi, he.." Cody trialed off, his hand coming to rest over where the scar was.
Luke tensed as Obi wan sat next to his husband, brows pulled into a frown. Luke could already sense the dread shared between the two.
" Order 66, we didn't know. I had only found out I was pregnant the day before-"
" I killed him." Obi wan whispered.
Luke's eyes widened, "You-"
Cody straightened in his seat, "Did he say something? What did he say? That he killed our son? " There was anger in his voice as tears formed in his eyes.
Luke opened and closed his mouth, which seemed answer enough.
"He didn't, I was trying to kill him. I gave the order to shoot him down, and even after I persued him to kill him."
Luke thought back to the scars he saw, "He stabbed you with his lightsaber." The realization hit Luke head on, disorienting, he always wondered why old Ben refused to use his lightsaber, it had gotten to the point where Luke had to be trained by Yoda after Ben had taught him as much as he could.
Cody nodded, "It was a matter of life or death, one the republic couldn't afford to bargain with."
"He removed your chip?"
"Rex did, it's still a miracle that I managed to survive, but it's all in the past. Brai was our little girl some years later, you might remember her."
Luke vaguely did, he had seen a girl with golden hair and bright blue eyes and brown skin a few times when he had come to visit Ben, but she hadn't stuck around for long, always going off with Cody to make supply runs. "She was your daughter?"
Cody laughed, "Did you think we just kidnapped a random child?"
Luke shook his head, "I didn't know what to think, she was never at the house-"
"She was never at the house when you were there. You were both children and could hardly mask your presence like Obi, heck it was still a risk having the two of you together during your training. We couldn't risk the both of you. After everything she joined the rebellion, despite my best efforts otherwise. She recently settled in Kamino with her husband and gave me three adorable grandchildren."
Luke swallowed against the lump in his throat.
"But, attachements are forbidden. "
"Yes, they are." Cody said slowly as if talking to a child. "So it's a good thing love and commitment aren't."
Luke leaned back, "what's the difference. "
Cody rolled his eyes, "Jedi I swear." He mumbled under his breath, "attachements which I explained to Obi, are to own and possess. And I would not be something owned ... again. Love is to treasure and care for. Commitment is loyalty. If Commitment wasn't allowed then the entire jedi order wouldn't be allowed. "
Luke put his head in his hands, "But my father-"
"Was a possessive, fearful alpha. Frankly if you ask me he was still just a child trying to be a man. It was all too much for him. "
Luke rubbed his chin. "So love is allowed."
Cody hummed, pulling a foot up to massage the heel.
It was all so overwhelming, his entire life teachings, everything he believed was just shaken and left crumbled into a pile of nothing.
"I should be going." He said getting to his feet.
Cody watched him with saddened eyes, "I hope this helped with whatever lesson Obi sought to teach you."
Looking back to the scrunchy and ring in his hand Luke ran a thumb over them before resting them on the table between them. "It did." He made his way toward the one door.
"Luke, may I ask just one thing?" Cody'svoice called.
Turning, Luke tried to keep a pleasant expression despite his own trembling hands, "Of course. "
"Did he get to see them grow?"
Luke held his breath as Obi wan leaned into Cody and spoke one word. "Yes."
Luke watched as Cody tensed before his body seemed to melt. A single tear falling down his cheek. "Oh."
Luke gave a small smile, ducking out of the hut.
He was quick to pull his goggles down, wrapping his own scarf around his face as he made his way to his ship.
Obi wan was leaning against it with a wistful smile, "It was good to see him again."
Luke shook his head, grinning at the dopey grin his master wore, "Was it now?"
Obi wan raised his head, with a knowing smile, "Do you have an answer to my question yet." He asked as Luke climbed into the ship.
His heart hammering in his chest, as flicked the controls, calling life to the engine, "I do love him."
Finally the force around him felt calm as it should be.

Chapter Text
Din woke wrapped in the smell of Cedar, smoke and beskar. A scent he had mostly associated with comfort. It was startling to realize the scent was Paz. Din blinked slowly, feeling the crink in his neck as he nuzzle closer. Afterall the man didn't seem to mind, as a matter of fact Paz seemed more then okay with it as he hummed appreciatively.
Paz had moved them to sit under one of the willows, the leaves obscuring the glow of the setting sun. He had removed most of the bulky parts of his armor, leaving him in his Kevlar under robes. His cape was wrapped around Din, which explain the onslaught of the scent.
"The views beautiful from here." Paz whispered as if afraid to startle Din.
Din straightened slightly, cracking his neck and rolling his shoulders. "It is." The sky was bathed in streaks of gold, crimson and blue. The beams of the sun made the beskar steal of the fortress glow an unearthly glow.
He looked over at the papers in Paz's hand, "What's that?"
"These are the outlines of the banquet. And this is the list of contacts that you need to invite."
Din took the offered paper, "already, when is it set?"
"In a sennight."
Din tried not to let his annoyance show through his body language as he looked through the names.
Leia Organa,
Boba fett
Varad
Beviin
Bralor
Wren
Saxon
Din puffed out his cheeks, happy Paz couldn't see him.
Paz began to chuckle, shaking Din who was still nestled against his shoulder.
"What's so funny?"
"You're very pouty."
Din tilted his head, leaning forward slightly to meet Paz's eyes through his visor. "And how would you know that?"
Paz tilted his head, meeting Din's eyes as if he just knew. "I know you, and I know your body."
Din felt his breath catch at the words.
"Your body language is very easy to read."
Din lifted his head, "Is it?"
Paz nodded, "Very." He said slowly.
The small blade slid from Din's hands he brought the fist to Paz's arm.
The blade didn't reach as Paz pulled Din forward with a hold on his leg. Bringing him to the ground, his other arm catching Din's and pining it to the side of his helmet as he leaned over him.
Din laughed breathlessly as Paz chuckled.
"It's a wonder that you lost our fight then."
"That was before we became close even so, you're still unpredictable. Honestly a knife , not even just a fist."
Din grinned though Paz couldn't see it, "I have to make sure my bodyguard is prepared for anything."
"Are you saying you don't trust me with your life?" Paz asked as he settled his weight.
Din felt his heart stutter as he was aware of the position they were in. Din on his back, Paz's hulking form between his legs, Din wrapped in the man's cape.
"I do." Din whispered.
Paz hummed low in his throat, "Good, because there's nothing more important to me than your life."
Din nearly choked on nothing, "That's a large commitment."
Paz shifted his weight into one elbow, the other reaching up toward Din's helmet, his fingers brushing against it. "One I'm more then willing to make."
For once, Din didn't panic as his helmet was shifted up slightly exposing his chin and lips.
"Mesh'la."
Din shivered as a finger skimmed the mole at his lip.
Paz leaned closer-
Din felt his breath pick up-
The sudden beep of his comm caused them to flinch back.
Din fumbled for his comm as he sat up, "Hello."
"Hello Din."
Din froze, tensing slightly. His scent souring slightly. "Luke, is Grogu okay? The kids?"
Paz nuzzle into his neck, sending calming pheromones which seemed to war with Din's omega.
"Everyone's okay. " was Luke's curt reply.
Paz hummed, lifting his head, " Is he bringing Grogu?"
Din smiled widely at Paz's interest.
"Is this a bad time?" Luke asked, his voice a unnatural calm.
"We're only relaxing before returning to work." Din replied.
"Oh, you're in private company.'
Din rolled his shoulders to ease the tension. If he didn't t know any better Luke sounded almost disappointed.
"Yes, was there something you needed?"
"The coordinates. I still have Grogu and would like to have a word with you." He paused, "If that is allowed."
Din shifted, "I will send it to you. "
"Thank you, I will see you then, goodnight Din." Luke's voice was soft, the sound easing something in Din that he didn't care to understand.
"Goodnight Skywalker. " He cut the transmitter.
Paz got to his feet, rubbing a hand under his jaw, "We should invite Skywalker. "
Din made a noise in the back if his throat as he stood as well.
Paz eyed him, " Is that why you were upset earlier?"
Din contemplated lying, he didn't want to think about Luke or their fight, but he also didn't t want to lie to Paz. "Yes, we fought."
"Oh?" Paz kept his expression calm and open. Neither showing nor feigning interest.
"There were some misunderstandings between us that, were finally cleared up."
Paz bumped their shoulders together as they walked back to the fortress. "May I inquire as to what about."
Din played with the sleeve of his robe, "I thought he- that we- that I meant something to him and I didn't."
Paz blinked slowly, "Did he say that?"
Din nodded, not trusting himself to speak.
They walked a but in silence, Paz holding the door open as they entered into the hall, "I can't say I'm not surprised, I had assumed the jedi were meant to be smart." They stopped outside of Din's room, the silence hanging between them. "Well I revoke my earlier suggestion about inviting Skywalker, do whatever you feel comfortable with, politics be damned."
Din smiled slightly, "Thank you Paz." He was glad to know someone was backing him up, but knowing Bo she was probably already expecting him to invite Luke. Amd it would look good to have a representative of the Jedi here, to show that Mandalore and the order could reside in peace. And also not to mention the mess it would be if Leia was invited and not her brother.
Feeling suddenly tired Din turned to head inside his room but stopped as his arm was grabbed.
"Forgive me if this may not be the time, but there was something I wanted to give you."
Turning back to the taller man, Din tilted his head in interest as Paz pulled a wrapped object from one of the various pouches at his side. Handing it to Din who took it carefully. The fabric which hid the gift was soft and smooth, as though it were a mixture between cotton and silk, the fabric made his breath pick up slightly. It was common to gift omegas such fabrics to add to their nest. Slowly, he pulled the fabric loose, revealing what it hid.
Din turned the head piece over in his hand, "What's this?"
Paz leaned down, staring into Din's eyes through the visor.
"I think you already know." He whispered, his voice a low rumble that made Din's stomach twist.
A gift, a headpiece, the meaning was clear, that the one who gifted it to you was thinking of you.
Or rather the alpha who wanted to court you had thought a out this for a while.
Din drew in a breath, his hands flexing around the ornament. It was clearly hand carved from beskar steal, the time and effort it had taken made him flush. It was a thoughtful and time consuming gift.
Din pressed it to his chest. There was so much thoughts running through his head. He was pregnant with Luke's child and Luke was bringing Grogu, his other pup. But Grogu did like Paz but there was the thought of how the people would see their relationship, were Din willing to accept. But he wanted to be happy and Paz made him feel happy.
Paz chewed his lip, another endearing quality, just seeing the alpha show his emotions "It's just to let you know I plan on courting you, this, if you accept represents your acknowledgement. "
Din nodded slowly, with a shaky breath he reached up, unclasping his helmet.
The air of the hall was cool as Din pulled his helmet free.
He met Paz's gaze from beneath his lashes.
Dark eyes widened slightly as a dazed smile appeared on the man's face, "mesh'la."
Their foreheads knocked together before broad hands clasped around his arms, pulling him in before pressing a kiss to his lips.
His first Instinct was to scream, this was wrong, he couldn't betray Luke like this.
But that soon calmed as his body melted into the kiss and his omega remember that they didn't belong to Luke, they never did.
Din whined into the kiss as teeth nibbled at his lip, tongue lavishing his as Paz leaned closer, his hulking form curling over him, warm and imposing and so so very safe. There was a softness to the kiss that made Din's toes curl, so unexpected from a man- a alpha of Paz's stature and standing that he couldn't help but melt against him.
Din pulled away, gasping slightly for air, his stomach burning as he watched the trail of spit connect him to Paz break. "I'm pregnant." He breather, feeling dread crawl up in his chest. But Paz deserved to know.
The man blinked dazed, nodding slightly, "Skywalkers right?"
Din almost whimpered, nodding along, forcing the omega down to prepare for the rejection that was sure to come.
But Paz merly hummed, nuzzling his cheek, the action made Din's omega purr. He gasped as a hot breath fanned across his ear, nearly dry lips scratching against it. "But he hasn't claimed you."
Lips trailed down to his mating gland and Din felt his knees buckle. His omega preened dreamily, Alpha wasn't angry, Alpha wasn't rejecting them, they were still worthy to hold alphas attention.
Lips met his again and Din moaned into the kiss as strong hand curled around him as Paz straightened. Lifting him from the ground. Din gasped, wrapping his leg around the man, feeling himself growing wet as he was carried into his room, away from any passer byers or curious on lookers.
"So lovely, you are always so beautiful, even when you were fighting me. Such a strong and perfect omega."
Din nuzzled into Paz's neck, feeling warm and fuzzy at the compliments. With a moan he inhales deeply. The others scent was such a strong contrast to Luke's.
Where Luke smelled of rain, Paz smelled of smoke. Where Luke smelled if Earth, Paz smelled of Beskar steel. Where Luke smelled of lilac, Paz smelled cedarwood.
A large hand trailed a path up Din's thigh as he was pressed into the wall, moving the silk of the robe higher and higher, exposing skin. The hand slipped beneath the garments, trailing up over Din's groing which made his hips twitch. Coming to rest I've his stomach. As calloused palms pressed again t the slight bump there Paz was flung back and Din stumbled to the floor.
There was a moment of shock as Paz landed, hissing as he slid down the wall.
Din gasped, blinking twice before getting to his feet, making his way toward the man who was slowly getting I his feet, wincing as he pressed a hand to the back of his head.
"Paz-" Din gasped as he was pulled backwards. Stumbling to fall against the ground as he landed a good distance away from Paz.
His eyes instantly scanned the room, clocking their surroundings. There was no one there but them.
"Din are you okay?" Paz closed the distance, touching a had to Din's and that's when the ground began to shake. Din who had slowly began to get to his feet stumbled. Holding into Paz which only made the tremors worse.
He quickly pulled away, stepping back a few feet. And that's when the earthquakes stopped.
Din drew I a deep breath, eyes wide as he stared at Paz. Who stared back.
"Did skywalker put some force mark on you that you don't know about?"
Din frowned, running a hand down his belly to calm his nerves, "No. No he wouldn't." He trialed off as Paz spoke. Nothing but a soft "Oh."
Confused, Din held still as the man approached, hand outstretched toward the navy bump. As fingers went to brush the skin they were met by and invisible wall...or forcefield Din thought.
Paz pulled his hand away, chuckling slightly, atleast they're protective of their Bruir. And unfortunately also their father."
Din licked his lip, feeling a slight swell of pride at his child and also annoyance. "I'm sorry, I don't know why."
Paz shook his head, smiling slightly, "They're loyal like you. That's too be praised. And besides it's no matter." He raised a hand towards Din's cheek. "I don't need to have you yet, knowing your heart is mine is more then enough. I can be patient. I've waited for you for so long cyar'ika."
Din sighed as his skin prickled as Paz passed the back of his hand over his cheek. Just close enough for Din to feel the phantom sensation but just far enough that he didn't get flung across the room.
"A few months is nothing compared to the lifetime I'd wait for you."
Din hummed as the phantom press of Paz's lips skimmed his forehead before the man stepped away. "Re'turcye mhi cyare."
Din watched the man go, not realizing that he was smiling stupidly to himself.

Chapter Text
Luke was doing a variation of planks to pushup, at this point he was just going through the motions, his thoughts racing , Din wasn't alone...which was good. Luke would never get upset about that, but that man's voice had a deep rumble to it that was only found in alphas that were secreting pheromones. Why was he secreting pheromones and around Din? Luke released a low growl at his sudden anger.
"Ah master?"
Luke's growl broke off, his head snapping up at the small voice before relaxing.
"Hello Nyra." He said reaching for his towel and draping it over his shoulders.
The twi'lek grinned, exposing her missing tooth, her unease wiped away by his pleasant greeting. "Your comm was going off, Cirus tried to answer ut but hung it up and Grogu almost ate it."
Luke winced as he stood, making his way toward his student. "Thank you Nyra." And he meant that, had Grogu eaten it he didn't know how he'd make it back in Din's good graces, he still didn't didn't know how he would, or if he could.
Nyra smiled again, holding out her hand which held his comm. Luke took it, giving her two pats atop her head. "Good night master." Nyra said after a job well done, with her hands on her hips she turned and skipped away head held high.
"Goodnight Nyra." Luke called after chuckling to himself at the girls antics.
Luke drew up his contacts, flicking through the hologram.
His heart dropped, there was a missed call from Din.
And Cirus had apparently hung up.
With fumbling hands Luke called the man back, heart thumping in his chest as he waited with baited breaths for the other's response.
He nearly fainted when Din answered.
"Din!" Luke winced at how desperate he sounded. But Din had answered, and he was there, in his room and thank the force, seemingly alone.
"Skywalker, are you free now?"
Luke flinched at the use of his surname, "Yes, I apologize for earlier I left my comm in the common room and the children -"
"-I'm aware, Cirus did answer before he hung up, I'm just glad Grogu didn't eat the comm as Nyra was screaming. "
Luke tried for a laugh, "Yes same." He was momentarily distracted by Din moving slightly out of frame, he was getting ready for bed it seemed, slipping on a loose robe but kept on his helmet.
Luke felt his stomach sink, Din kept his helmet on.
"How are you?"
Din was flipping through papers as he sat back down, "Great, how's Grogu?"
"He's good, settled down for the night, Nyra and Cirus have decided to have an impromptu sleepover."
Din chuckled softly, but the sound was filtered through his visor.
It made something in Luke sour swell in his chest.
"You're wearing your helmet." The words were out of his mouth before he could stop them.
Din tilted his head slightly, "Yes. Only the alpha whose courting me can see my face."
Luke felt his chest tighten, the alpha who was courting him? Was that the man he heard? Was that the alpha who was courting his omega who was pregnant with his child? He felt a swell of anger bubble in his chest. Anger, and a need to claim and scent and , and...fear he realized. He felt fear, "Are you-"
"-Mandalore is holding a banquet in seven days, you are being invited to represent the jedi order. The banquet is to show the newly made ties between Mandalore and the rest of the world. Your sister-senator Organa is also being invited. " Din began, cutting Luke's question off. "However there is a ..." He paused as if looking for the words, his helmet tilting upwards and exposing the tan line of his throat where the faded bite marks Luke left were, so close to his mating gland yet so far away. "Force problem." Din mumbled with a hint of annoyance, "That I would like to talk to you about. It would be appreciated were you to come a few days earlier than planned. And of course bring my son because I miss the little womprat."
Luke was silent, everything from the very moment they began their call was replying in his head, making him feel slightly faint.
He gave himself another moment before collecting himself, clearing his throat and rolling his shoulders back and raising his chin, the look of not am emotionless jedi, but of a senator that Leia has tried so hard to ingrave in him. "I gladly accept on behalf of the order, and I have no problem coming a few days early, as a matter of fact would tomorrow work?" He asked trying not to seem too eager, the sooner he saw Din, the sooner he could begin to apologize and try to make things right before confessing to the man.
Din was silent a few moments before nodding, "Yes. That will be fine." He said slowly as if needing to convince himself that it was indeed fine.
Luke gave his best smile, "Great, is there anything I should bring? Any of the blankets you left here or any food? I could bring Thala Siren milk or meiloorun or even make some rootleaf stew. I recall those being some of your favorites. "
Din seemed to freeze, Luke watched the Bob of his Adam apple as he swallowed. Without another word the transmission cut off and Luke was left staring at the other side of his room, a pale empty wall.
Blinking slowly he swallowed down the hurt and the growl from his Alpha at being so curtly ignored.
His instincts were screaming at him but were quick to silence when he reminded himself that he was the one who caused this rift between them. He was the one who had pushed Din and their child away.
Drawing in a steady breath Luke picked up his comm, taking a seat on the edge of his bed, his hand idlessly smoothing down his cape which still smelled like Din. He had meant to wash it but couldn't bring himself to remove the omega scent from his room.
Moving through his contacts he found the name he was looking for, waiting for the other to answer.
Luke couldn't help but smile at the slightly annoyed face which glared back at him, sleep ridden eyes squinting through the screen.
"Luke this had better be good."
"Of course it is, hearing your brother's voice should always be the highlight of your day."
Leia blinked slowly, her glare deepening as she rolled herself up. "Oh spear me the antics, it's the middle of the night."
Like casted a glance out his window, eying the slowly setting sun. Yes it would be night time now in Alderaan.
"Sorry Le"
Leia wrinkled her nose, "Oh it's alright, seeing as you had no concept of time it mist be important. "
She flipped her long brown hair over her shoulder. "What can I help you with?"
Luke paused, going over his options. It qas either his father- which didn't have the best tract record.
Obi wan- who Luke didn't want to bother after such a emotional day yesterday.
Han who- no, he wouldn't have been able to woo Leia if she hadn't been flirting with him herself.
And well.. asking Din would defeat the purpose.
"I need to know how to apologize to an omega..."
Leia's brows furrowed.
"The Mandolorian way."
Leia frowned, "Luke..." She began slowly, eyes darting around, "What did you do? " she paused, moving closer to the hologram, Where's Din? Is Grogu okay?"
Luke shook her off, "It's a long story, but I also need to know how the Mandalorian history of courting an omega."
Leia paused, her expression freezing, and for a moment Luke thought she hadn't heard him when suddenly a piercing scream left her lips, causing Luke to wince.

Chapter Text
Luke rubbed his brow, feeling the headache already coming on, "Leia-"
"Don't Leia me, are you kidding me Luke! Honestly I don't even think I should help you. 'I only scented you to help you on your bounties.' You said that too the Mand'alor!" Luke winced as a needle stabbed him again. After the second time he was sure it wasn't an accident. "And to an omega! Scenting is such an intimate thing, do you think I could tell Han that and he'd ever fogive me."
Another needle. "Honestly I was telling you all this stupid no attachment rule."
Luke remaind silent as his sister fussed over his robes. Pining the sides and sewing them in, Luke would reprimand her for the inappropriate use of the force, but what did he know?
"I know."
"You know, but yet you did it any way." Leia stopped infront of him, looking up at him. "Why?"
Luke flinched, for how angry Leia had been, her voice was now gentle, not a hint of judgment in it.
"You know why."
Leia shook her head, smoothing down his robes, "No. I know the lie you told yourself but I want to know why you actually did it."
"I was taught that attachments were bad. That they would destroy us, turn us to the dark side. I had to learn to push away my emotions." Luke held up a hand to stop Leia's protest. "I was convinced all I learned was true. So I became scared, despite my best efforts to feel nothing. The one thing I always felt was fear. When I met Din I was immediately drawn to him. I desire-" He felt his cheeks warm, looking away from his sister as he contiuned. "I desired him ever since then. Which , fine , whatever, there's nothing against blowing off soem steam. But once we began to know each other I became more drawn and soon my fear increased because my desire turned into want." Luke looked down to his gloved hand, shock to see it shaking, "I wanted Din so much, he occupied nearly every bit of time thoughts, not a day went by that I didn't think of him atleast once, I kept my room the same since he left. I even have the blindfold he had me wear the first time we had a meal together, just because it was a torn piece of his cape and smelled of him, and still does. It's always on me at all times because I love the way the way he smells. Just thinking of his face and voice makes me feel a type of happiness and of that o had always thought I shouldn't feel. When we shared his heat I didn't offer merely because it would get him, I offered because I wanted to have that with him. To know him that way. " his breathing was coming out in labored gasps and it wasn't until Leia grabbed his hand that he realized he was clenching it at the front if his robes.
"Oh Luke." Her hand reached up and wiped away at the tears that had fallen without him knowing.
Like drew in a breath, feeling as though his heart was trying to claw its way out of his chest. "I couldn't-all this time I believed it was our father's love for our mother that turned him to the dark side, that killed her. I couldn't do that, and when he told me he might be pregnant with our child all I could think was that this was exactly what happened to our parents. I couldn't do that to Din so I lied, I hurt him because I could live with him hating me and never wanting anything to do with me as long as he- as they were alive and safe. Because eventually they would forget about me and be happy."
"You should tell him that now." Leia whispered against his hair as she rubbed soothing circles on his back from where he had bent to res this head against her chest. Listening to her heartbeat.
"No, I can't."
"Oh Luke what now?" Leia raised a brow as she folded her arms over her chest, glaring up at him as he straightened.
"He already has an alpha courting him, he, he already moved on, I can't. I don't deserve to burden him with this now."
"Then what are you going to do?"
"Help him. As the jedi representative with whatever little force problem he's having."
Leia ran a hand over her face, "But what about your child, you're not even going to try to be in their life?"
Luke tensed, "I can only try to get back into Din's good graces, I don't think he'd keep me from my child, but it might be awhile until he feels comfortable around me and I am more then wiling to wait. "
"Luke-"
"Are you two done?"
Luke blinked , "Han!" He turned to Leia , "I thought you said he wasn't here."
Leia rolled her eyes, walking up the ramp towards the ship to her mate, "I said he was asleep, not that he wasn't here."
"But-" Luke cut himself off with a sigh.
Luke turned back to the man who waited atop the ramp, he looked tired, but far better than the last time Luke had seen him. His hair was neatly combed and he too was in a ornamental jacket and pants, which was far looser and by far more comfortable than Luke's.
"You should be asleep." Leia mumbled pressing a kiss to Han's cheek as the man leaned down.
"I slept practically all day." He mumbled though willing allowed Leia to lead him back inside.
Luke gathered the last of his stuff, beckoning over the children who were playing in the field.
They too were in dar nicer robes, less dressy than the adults but much nicer than they normally would've worn. Nyra was still smoothing her hands down the expensive material , happily swinging her head back and forth to listen to the gentle clinging of the head piece Leia had given her.
And Cirus was still in aw by his vibrant blue robe and rings.
Gorgu hasn't been given rings, though he did have bagles which Luke silently thanked the force that he hadn't tried eating yet. He wore a bright red robe under his chain mail that Din had made for him.
They all looked very adorable, the image bringing a smile to Luke's face.
He settled down their luggage -which wasn't much. He didn't want to overstay his welcome which he already felt he was- before moving g to double checked that Grogu was buckled in. It wasn't that he didn't trust Nyra and Cirus, he just didn't trust Grogu. The kid was smarter and more skilled at slight of hand than he would've thought possible at his age.
"Do you know why we're going to see mister Din master?" Cirus asked, kicking his feet against his seat.
Luke bite down a smile as three sets of eyes faced him.
"To show good fate between the Jedi and Mandalorians." Luke said as he settled down opposite them, taking on a meditative position.
"Good fate by doing what?"
Luke shrugged, closing his eyes. And he heard audible clicks of Jaws closing.
The children knew not to disturb him during meditation. It wasn't that he didn't want to talk with them , but if he were to see Din he needed to get his emotions somewhat undercontrol. His eyes were still slightly swollen from crying and he didn't want to accidentally blurt out the first things that came to his mind. Like how beautiful Din was, or that he loved him or liked how he smelled or the sound if his voice.
So he needed to meditate even uf that meant not talking to his students for a duration of the ride. But that hardly stopped them from carrying out their conversation.
"I read that Mandalore and the Jedi had a war. I doubt that Mr. Din wants to start another war but what if this banquet is to propose a proposal."
Nyra said proudly which made Luke almost choked.
Grogu cooed, seemingly adding his own input seeing as the children gasped. R2 beeped, his own input added which made Luke's cheeks heat.
Cirus huffed, "But that's not fair, marriage should be about love not politics. "
Luke could hear Leia's and Han's laughs from the front of the shuttle.
Nyra gasped, "What if it is. Mr. Din and master have been spending alot if tune alone what if they're secretly inlove."
Luke cringed, making a nebtal note to teach his Palawan how to actually whisper.
"And they're using a peace treaty to allow their secret love." Cirus gasped.
Grogu babbled excitedly then all the children were giggling happily.
Luke cracked an eye open, watching them. Despite the embarrassment he felt at his students speculating about his love life, it was all worth it to see them laughing and happy.
He wondered if his and Din's child would be as full of life as they were, he hoped that they would be. They he would eventually get the chance to hear their happy little squeals turn into breathy giggles. Hoped he got to stare upon their face as their eyes glinted with laughter.
Because , if he was honest, he wanted to be there for their child. When Din had said he was pregnant all of Luke's suspicions were answered. He had woken in the middle of the night to a small force prescenes. At first he had thought it was Grogu but then he jad felt is growing and reaching out. It was then he realized it was from Din. Small as it was there was no denying it. His mind was racing, first with happiness. That was his and Din's pup, their child. Their small little miracle. There was a moment of calm and he just laid there and felt the force prescenes. Felt the budding life and felt the force as it moved through Din. Feeling as the force took pieces of the force from Din and himself to create this small little life, and thought that there was no way that this could be a sin. Surely, cutting himself off from Din and his child would be the greatest sin of all. To look into the eyes of the man he loved and say otherwise.
But then the fear and the memories he had gotten from Darth Vader, anakin, his father.... the memories of his obsession of his own fear and anger of his desperation to protect Padame and his memories of feeling her die. Die because of him.
Luke knew he couldn't hold onto that happiness so he had lied and lost everything that mattered to him aside from his students.
Luke swallowed as he pushed his sadness aside.
Instead he drew on the force , allowing it to take it from him, and focused on his students laughs. They were enough for him.
They had to be enough.
Din buried his head further into his pillow. Suddenly feeling restless. Turning on his side he brought his knees as close to his chest as possible, swallowing against the wave of nausea. He felt shaky, as he curled a hand around his pillow he realized it was trembling. Blinking his eyes open he made to push himself up, frowning as his hand touched his wet pillow. Bringing a hand to his face he felt under his nose.
No blood.
As he moved up his face he froze. Tears.
There were tears streaming down his face.
Sitting fully up Din tried to recall his dream. He hadn't cried this hard since his clan died.
Another wave of nausea washed over Din , this time tearing a wet sob from him. His body trembled and he suddenly felt as though he couldn't sit up any longer and collapsed onto the bed.
The tears wouldn't stop and neither would the trembling. And soon they were accompanied by a pain which made it hard to breath, as if his heart was trying to claw its way out of his chest.
Din just stayed there, afterall there was nothing else he could do . This felt like nothing he'd ever experienced before. A sadness that for some reason was his but yet so unfamiliar to him.
So Din laid there, holding his pillow and blanket tight for whatever comfort they could possibly give him. Trying to understand a sadness that wasn't his.

Chapter Text
Paz wouldn't stop watching him. There was something akin to worry in his eyes which Din decided to ignore as they walked down the stairs to the courtyard- a wide landing port that was bugger then Din had ever seen. He wouldn't admit it but he was feeling odd...towards seeing Luke again. He felt a bitter feeling but somewhere deep down he felt eager? Which felt so out of place that he wasn't sure it was his own. He was glad to wear his helmet, over the years he had gotten used to hiding his emotions slightly better but he was no jedi master, he was still easy to read unfortunately.
Iro-his assistant had dressed him in a long robe of black which nearly matched the obsidian of his beskar helmet. His gauntlets though thin and more decorative than practical had come up to his elbows, beskar metal thankfully, his boots were knee high though like his gauntlets mostly hidden by his robe. The collar and inside of the sleeves and bottom of his robes was lined with gold.
Black a d gold, justice and vengeance.
Eve his hair had been styled for whatever that was worth a d there were ornamental chains hanging around his helmet and hanging down like earnings. He felt like a piece of art, meant to be quaked at then the bounty hunter he was. But this was tradition and tradition was hard to get rid of.
Paz and Bo Katan were dressed in full armor with sleek robes of pure black underneath. Their helmets were off but held behind their backs as they walked.
Paz subtly brushed their shoulders together and Din tilted his head down in a silent answer.
The man had been worried all day, especially when he had come to find Din in the morning, unable to get out of bed from exhaustion from crying all night.
He had managed to convince Paz that he was fine but even now he could feel the slight tremble in his body and his head still hurt from hours spent weeping he felt nearly dead on his feet were he honest.
But no matter how empty the capital was, Din had come to learn that as Mand'alor he was always being watched and if he wasn't there to welcome Organa and Skywalker the entire banquet and everything hes trying to accomplish would all be for nothing.
The people-his people would look at him and hear his words as half truths which he couldn't afford. Not after everything.
Din stopped at the end of the stairs, watching as Luke and Leia and a tall man with a trial of children descened the airship. Leia and the man wore matching robes, though the man's were far looser and a shade darker than Leia's emerald green with hints of light blue, Din smirked, it seemed they had done their research. Leia stopped infront of him, offering her hand as she touched the other to her chest, which Din mirrored. "Welcome to Mandalore." He said.
"A welcome indeed, it's so lovely, I can see why it was once revered. "
"Thank you." Din inclined his head, releasing her hand. Though he was happy at the comment, he has done alot of work to repair Sundari. Reviving the capital to its once renowned image.
It has taken months to repair the dome, reinforcing it with beskar, and repairing the spiraling bridges that intertwined lead to every corner of the city.
But they had done it, the streets were anew and the statues and columns of each clan were built. It was finally beginning to feel like home again.
Din was brought out of his reserved by a loud cooing as the sudden giggles as bodies crashed into him, nearly making him lose balance.
He was quick to grab Hrogu before the child tlcould fall, holding him close and pressing their foreheads together as a happy laugh left him as Cirus and Nyra hugged him. He held Grogu in one hand, patting them on their heads, "Hello. How have you been?"
The children pulled away, wide grins on their faces, "Great mister Din, it's been so long."
Din frowned, it really hasn't , had it? Turning to Grogu the child was nodding eagerly with sincere beady eyes. "I'm sorry, next time I won't take so long to have you visit."
Cirus tilted his eyes, squinting his eyes, "Or you could visit us."
Din blinked once, thankful for his helmet so they couldn't see the panic.
Before he jad to respond a throat cleared as Luke ascended the steps.
he was dressed in a dark gray robe, much similar to his favorite black outfit with a single white collar, though instead of just the folded collar there was a long fabric much like a scratch connected which was wrapped around his shoulder and connected to the opposite side of his pants.
Din couldn't help but pause at that, he assume that they and done their research but, surely...no.
Luke didn't know.
Gray was reserved for mourning of a lost love. And he had lost nothing that he himself hadn't given away.
Luke stopped infront of Din, taking his hand, doing the customary greetings , though before he released Din's hand he turned his wrist, tapping a chin to his pulse.
Din swallowed, pulling his hand away as subtlety as he could. He wasn't some teen who couldn't control his emotions. He could deal with Luke in a civil manner.
"Thank you for having us, your home is lovely as always."
Din nodded, mumbling a quick thank you. Beside him Paz was still, his dark blue eyes had yet to move from Luke, though when they did they moved slowly to rest on Din's hand before looking away.
Din cleared his throat, holding Grogu closer against him. "Shall we?" He mumbled gesturing toward the door. Wanting nothing more then to move.
Luke walked closer.
It was something Din realized as they walked to the common room. He had chalked it up to the man wanting to be near Grogu, after all his students hung off him like little spidermonkies. But even so it was far too close for Din's liking. He could smell, Luke his scent, and even though he was still hurt, a part of him yearned for that smell, afterall it had been a scent he had once grown to see as comfort and home and safety.
They walked in silence, which was occasionally filled the children's little chatter and the gruff replies of Bo Katan and Paz as they answered questions they were asked. Along with Han and Leia's friendly attempt at small talk.
The guards stationed at the door of the common room stepped aside, opening it was a practiced flourish to allow then to enter. Din set Grogu down allowing the children to wander off.
It was a large enough room with sills they could sit on and dias and cased armor that they could look at and enough room they could explore without wandering off.
Din hummed as he went to take his seat at the front of the table, where Paz and Bo would sit at either side of him.
As he went to sit down he was suddenly pulled back with a sudden force.
"Din!" He felt the skim of Paz's hand against his but it was too late, he was already being flung back.
He braced himself for the impact but it didn't come.
Hands had caught him, a careful hand around his waist and the other at his stomach.
"Are you okay?" Din blinked slowly at Luke's breathless question.
"I-"
"Luke!"
Din flinched as he looked up to see Leia's excavated expression.
The blonde holding him shifted, still keeping a hold on Din as he moved to stand at his side. "I didn't do that." He said firmly.
His sister eyed him for a few moments before frowning, "then who did?"
Beside Leia, Han chuckled, "That's one way to win your lov-" his sentence trailed off with a scowl as Leia nudged him.
Din was suddenly aware how close he and Luke were as blue eyes turned to look at him, "I assume that's the little force problem you were having?"
Din cleared his throat, taking a step away as Paz approached, hand hovering unsurely,"Yes." Din said, smoothing a hand over Paz's,- or trying to. A force boarder stopped him. So he settled for walking as close as he could to him, returning to the table. "Yes, there have been some ....issues, co corning matters we had... discussed before I left." Din said, trying bit to let his bitterness show, he would hardly call what had happened a discussion it was more Luke telling him that everything between them and their child was a mistake and never should have happened and Din just standing 0there too tired to put up the fight to make his voice be heard.
Luke shifted as he sat down. Subtly putting more space between. And the action made Din bare his teeth from behind his helmet.
The snarl was replaced by shock and a but of anger as he was suddenly dragged, chair and all towards Luke. Who in turn was dragged toward him, Luke's face was one of shock and fear. As his brows furrowed in that way when he was trying to find something in the force.
Din tensed as they were fave to fave, knees touching. He tried to move back but was instantly pushed forward again. He could feel a tug as though wanting to go closer but something, thankfully stopped it. Looking up from where he was running what he hoped were soothing pats over his belly he saw Luke whose face was tense. He gritted his teeth, annoyance flashing over his face before he snapped. "Enough!"
The tug suddenly stopped and Din felt a weight lift off him. Infront of him Luke released, rubbing a hand over his face before rubbing his temple.
Din shifted, sitting on his hands so as not to reach over and rub at the pressure points like he used to.
"Perhaps." Luke spoke finally, "If you don't mind, we should take care of that problem before settling in any more."
Din nodded, standing slowly, "That would be ideal." He turned to his guest, " My apologies for cutting this late. Your rooms are already ready. "
Leia stood, smiling, "It's not a problem your majesty, we thank you for your hospitality while dealing with so much. I will get the children to bed."
Han- Din recalled was already on his feet, gathering the bustling children.
Following behind Bo katan.
Everyone cleared out until it was only Luke, Paz and Din left in the room.
Paz cleared his throat, I supposed I best be going."
Din frowned, tilting his head. He didn't want Paz to leave, especially now. He nearly buried himself in Paz's side as the man closed the distance between them.
"Though hopefully I eventually become well acquainted with ....Mr. Skywalker was it?"
Din felt his stomach coil tightly.
Changing a glance at Paz, he noted that the man looked calm, as he took the necessary steps to stand right next to Din though slightly infront. Posturing.
Din rolled his eyes, though he would admit it was amusing.
Paz was well taller than Luke, and broader too. Though somehow, which Din absolutely adored from the brute of a man. Had always seemed far less intimidating. Though now, he probably marched Luke's intensity. He was friendly. Too friendly as he smelled with his pearly white, and offered his hand. His shoulders were relaxed but so was all of him. As if this wasn't anything to concern himself with. It was pure confidence and indifference.
Luke met his eyes, offering his own smile though it didn't meet his eyes were had taken on a darker blue. "Yes. Luke Skywalker."
Paz hummed, "Paz Vizsla." Paz answered curtly.
"You could stay." Din called to Paz and Luke nearly growled.
Paz smiled slightly at Din as he turned back. glancing toward Luke, who fought back every voice in his head that wanted hin to challenge Paz. To fight the man who had taken his omega. But stopped, doing his best to keep his scent neutral. Din wasn't a prize to be won, though in a way he was. The only thing in the world that could bring Luke to his knees. But he wasn't a trophy. And Luke had given up the right to call Din his. So he lowered his head slightly in a sign if respect. And Paz did the same before turning back to Din. "This is not mine to share. " He said softly, lifting a wrapped parcel, it was longer and bigger
Than a hand wide, and was fairly flat. Paz held ut up to Din's forehead and leaned down to tap his own against it. He mum ked a quick phrase Luke couldn't fully catch but he did hear the heartfelt
" Kar'ta Sarad. " the words made something butter in Luke stir, especially as he watched Din's response to them. The mand dropped his head, turning it to the side slightly as though to look away. His heart clenched, he had seen Din do that many times whenever Luke gave him the smallest of compliments. It was his favorite thing to see and now it was another's. He swallowed, finally turning away once Din took the gift , watching the man walk put of the room as he held it tightly in his hands.
Din's sent smelled sweet and wistful. Gosh the honey tang of beskar was intoxicating, he had missed it so very much.
Once they were alone Luke looked up to Din. Force he was gorgeous. Luke tried to calm his heart. He knew how much Din disliked the robes he was forced to wear as Mand'alor, mostly due to him not thinking he looked good in them but they fit him well. Hugged his forms perfectly, he was built with sturdy muscle but he was leaner than his usually armor made him seem. When Luke had first saw him in his formal wear, a soft baby blue robe that fell well past his feet, leaving a train of fabric behind him, the sash and collar were a lined with gold armor pieces. Luke had then proceeded to trip down a few steps, much to Din's panic.
Now he was just frozen as he stared. Which was a problem. He recalled Obi wan telling him stories of how his father had always stared at his mother.
Forcing himself to speak Luke said the first thing that came to his mind. "I assume that's the alpha courting you?" He grimaced as Din's shoulders rose slightly. "He seems very nice."
Din tilted his head, "Are you using yourself as a reference?"
Luke drew in a breath, he deserved that. He hung his head "I'm glad you're happy."
Din was silent.
Luke could imagine his brows lowered and his lip puffed out in that half pout. He couldn't help but laugh softly at that. "So your force problem is about ou- your baby?"
Din looked up as if slapped. "Yes. For some reason any time Paz is around they push him away."
Luke raised a brow.
Din fiddled with his courting gift. "Like, if he touches me he gets flung...away."
Luke felt his eyebrows raise to his hairline. Because, that could mean two things, either a friendly pat on the back and such or... Luke watched Din shift slightly. .. oh. Oh. He had to look away, biting his lip as a growl tickled his throat. "So they don't like Paz and they seem...drawn to me." He said slowly, forcing his voice to remain neutral but failing, "Is there anything else."
"I cried."
Luke looked up that.
"Last night, I- I was fine, we were fine but I woke in the middle of the night and I couldn't stop crying. I thought it might have been hormones but it felt different. Like it was someone else's sadness I was experiencing. "
Luke nodded slowly, suddenly feeling like he was floating, "Last night." He mumbled thinking back to his breakdown. He had released it into the force , so ...there couldn't be a way for Din to-but their child...
Din contiuned. "I don't know what's going on, but-" He huffed, " Do you think you could calm them?"
Luke tilted his head, telling Din that he had heard him as Din walked closer. "I don't want them to keep hurting Paz every time he's around me."
"I could, perhaps. " Luke ran a hand down his chin,
"Do you mind if I-" He paused, "I'd like to try something. " He began walking away from Din to the other side of the room, pulling the blindfold from his inside pocket and tying it around his eyes. "Could you remove your helmet, please." He asked as he turned around.
He heard the faint sound of breath catching.
"I-"
Luke waved a hand toward the door, humming as the lock clicked in place, "No one will get close enough without me knowing, it helps. The beskar blocks me out a bit. Earlier I tried to reach out to their force prescene but I was mostly blocked. "
"Alright." There was the faint sound if shuffling, then a gentle cling as beskar met the ground.
Luke almost drifted off, Din's force prescenes, though faint was calming. He felt the alpha inside him purr at it.
"I think the sadness you felt last night was mine."
"Yours. Why were you sad? I thought you said everyone was fine."
Luke smiled softly, "The children were- are fine."
"Then what?"
"Sometimes I get sad."
"I didn't think that was allowed."
Luke hummed, "I didn't think that either but, I was made aware that perhaps the old ways were....just that. Old ways."
He heard Din scoff, "Is that so."
"I normally release my emotions into the force. I assume that's what you felt last night. "
He heard Din lean against the table. Luke tilted his head in question. Was his feet already starting to hurt? Was he feeling nauseous? He lightly felt Din's emotions, there was just confusion and tiredness. And something else which Luke didn't dig to find.
"But that still doesn't answer why." Din mumbled.
"Everything is born from the force, it's only natural that a baby, a still growing life form would draw upon the force of their parents."
Din's hummed, "I think I've heard something like that, the force runs through everyone right?"
Luke nodded slowly, "Yes. Though obviously some of us feel it more than others."
Din rested a hand against his stomach, "So you can feel them, like you do Grogu?"
"Yes."
There was a silence, a tentive step taking forward. "Can you hear them, their thoughts or-"
"Yes."
Another step. "Is there a way for non force users to feel the force?" Din asked shyly and it was so unlike him.
Luke found himself leaning slightly closer to the warmth radiating off of Din.
"Yes there,is." He said slowly . "Would you like to?"
Din tensed slightly, so Luke contiuned, "It may help."
Din nodded, so Luke closed the distance between them.
"Is there something I need to do?"
Luke smiled slightly, "Just relax, and let me in." Walking around Din, trailing his finger along his waist, just far enough that they didn't touch, but just close enough for Luke to feel the soft fabric.
He felt Din shudder. "My mind?"
Luke hummed settling behind him.
Din tensed again.
Luke could feel his unease, so he leaned closer, feeling Din's warm breath fan across his gace as the other looked at him once more. ""I will be doing the same, everything I see, you'll see equal parts of me."
He exhaled slightly, allowing his hand to hover over Din's stomach, "May I?"
Din nodded, his hair tickling Luke's nose.
Slowly he rested his hand against the others stomach. Feeling his breath rush out of him. The nerves of his mechanical hand tingled from beneath his glove. With his flesh hand he took Din's resting it over his other as he pressed closer.
"Let me in."
Din's body seemed to melt against his, fitting perfectly. It always did.
Luke made himself relax, focusing on the heat of their bodies, the force prickled at his skin, and he felt Din's curiosity, longing. And deeper as he pushed, he felt panic.
Luke called on the force more, releasing Din's panic into it, and Slowly he saw visions, of Grogu. The two laughing at the garden.
Of Din laying in bed, rubbing a hand along his stomach, mumbling to himself and he spoke ti their unborn child.
Of Din and Luke, laying in the grass on Yavin, Din laughing in Luke's arms as they finished their spar.
Than there was a shock of pain and sadness that almost left Luke breathless.
He saw Din wiping away tears on his ship after their fight. He saw Din crying in his room on Mandalore, alone and in the dark.
He felt his longing and pain for his Alpha, for Luke.
And it hurt.
It hurt more then anything Luke ever felt.
He felt confusion and betrayl, anger.
But soon the pain subsided to happiness, a d he saw flashes of Paz and Din, saw Din laughing, and Paz holding him in his arms, saw them practicing fighting, saw- he saw Paz holding Din against the wall, kissing him, hands feeling along strong muscle. He felt Din's pleasure.
Saw Paz kissing his forehead and asking to court him.
And that was when he felt a bitterness, though it wasn't a deep one. It was as if the emotion it's didn't know what it was feeling.
There they were.
Luke hesitated, he had said he would allow Din to see equal parts of him. So he held onto that bitterness of a child , and shared his own emotion.
He released his longing, his want, his desire. He sent his desperation, his confusion. Sending visions of the times he memorized Din's face, every lovesick felt in his heart.
He sent his own loneliness, his fear along with visions of his father, of their fight, he sent his fear and fight against the darkside, how easy it had been to give in. He held nothing back.
Not the happiness he felt when Din told him he was pregnant. How he felt when he had Di beneath him, the way he yearned for his moans and gasps.
The joy and fear he felt when he lay awake, feeling as the force drew on his and Din's force signatures, creating their small little miracle.
The emotions was overwhelming, his ears rang, and he could feel his body shaking. There was so much passion. He couldn't control it-
But there it was, that small prescenes that was now blooming and warm. He held onto it and pulled.
Din gasped, moving to pull away but Luke held tight. "Listen"
He said through the force and Din stilled.
He felt their signatures together, and their child seemed to nuzzle in it, a wave of happiness washing over them.
Luke smiled and he felt that happiness Bloom as Din laughed.
"Hello." Luke thought and he felt a small tug on his signature, a giddiness.
He felt himself smile wider. "Why don't you like Paz?"
He felt a wave of annoyance, feeling another tug at both his and Din's force prescenes.
"But it's making you father sad, I made your father sad Paz makes him happy."
Another tug and Luke sighed. Stubborn.
He sent a wave of calm, trying to convey that it was okay.
He was met by a wall of defiance before the wall crumbled.
Luke drew in a breath, blinking his eyes open as a wave of calm washed over the bond.
He stood there, taking in Din's heat as he gathered himself once more.
Din drew in a sudden breath and Luke felt a flicker of panic hit him.
"Din." Luke reached toward Din but his hand was slapped away, "You knew."
Luke froze, understanding hitting him like a wave.
"You knew. And you still lied to me. And you, you."
Anger. Pure anger. "You, you never stopped lieing to me. Even after I told you I loved you. After everything and now you just-" He broke of with a laugh, a wet laugh and Luke shook as he thought of the tears in Din's eyes. Force he was hurting him again.
"I thought it would lead me to the darkside. You've seen what its done to my father. You saw that. He killed my mother and he tried to kill me he cut my hand off!"
"But you're not your father. After all these years, your attachment to your sister and students and you haven't turned to the darkside. Yet with me you just throw me aside."
Luke shook his head furiously, "No, no. I lov-"
Din gave a hysterical laugh, the sound hurt Luke to hear. "Don't. " He said firmly . And there was the Mand'alor, the feared bounty hunter Luke had heard about. Quiet and quick when it came to bounties. When Din spoke his voice was low. "Jedi master Luke Skywalker, I requested you here to help me with an issue of the force and to attend the banquet, not to bring up memories of the past and past regrets."
Din took three steps to stand infront of Luke. "Is the issue taken care of?"
Luke wanted to scream.
No. No. No. He didn't want this.
He didn't wat them to be Skywalker and Djarin.
He didn't want the to be Jedi master and Mand'alor.
He wanted them to be Luke and Din. He wanted -
But he couldn't want.
So he swallowed whatever bitterness he felt and gave a curt nod, "Yes, though I know they would like to be around me."
Din hummed, "Alright. If that us all I will be retiring for the night. If you turn left down the hall you'll you'll the guest rooms."
No he couldn't just let him go like that.
"I did ." He called and Din faltered.
"I did turn to the darkside, only for a moment but I did it all the same."
Din was quiet, the slight shuffling could be heard before even spoke again. "Well then I suppose you won't have to worry about your attachment to me any more. Goodnight Skywalker. "
Din opened his door and threw his helmet off. Pressing his head against the door.
"Either your talk didn't go down smooth in your social battery ran out far quicker."
Din smiled as the familiar presence of Paz pressed as close as he dared behind him.
"Both cases would mean I liked dealing with around people."
"Oh. Do I fall under that category."
Din shivered as hands danced in his hair, pulling the small head piece free and freeing his curls. He could already feel his headache easing.
Without answering he turned, looking up at Paz smiling at the patient look he was met with. He tapped the beskar shoulder piece against Paz's chest and smiled as the man blushed. "You opened it."
Din hummed, rocking up on his tiptoes, "Yes."
He watched Paz's eyes turn darker," Yes...?"
"Yes." Din closed the distance, pressing a kiss to the other's lips.
He felt Paz tense, his hands hovering unsurly. Before closing around Din. "I can touch you."
Din nodded, pulling the man down for another kiss.
"You accept my courtship."
"Yes. Yes." Din gasped as he was pushed into the wall. Paz pressed kisses along his neck. "You're mine."
"I am."
Another kiss, "Then allow me to worship you." Dins heart speak up in his chest at Paz's words. His omega practically purring and wanting him to bare his neck. Din tangled a hand in Paz's hair, tugging at the tie in the man's hair. Paz wrapped a handwround his thigh and another beneath his ass, pulling him up with ease and carrying him to the bed.
Din gasped as his robe was ripped open, a laugh leaving him, "Iro is going to hate you."
"I don't care." Paz growled, burying his face in Din's neck and sucking a bruise. Hands slid beneath the robe, smoothing down his sides, pinning his hips to the bed. "Mine." He breathed, his eyes softening as he took in Din. Din couldn't help the flush that rose to his cheeks. He caught Paz's face in his hand, pulling him close, "Mine." He whispered. Paz leaned into his palm, titking his head to press a kiss yo it then the pulse point. Din felt himself melt at the tenderness.
A hand ghosted down his hand as Paz took it, pressing kisses to each knuckle, then the hand slid down, following the path if lips, over Din's forehead, cheek, jaw, neck . Until hands danced their way between his thighs.
Din whined, pressing his hips closer as Paz began rubbing his fingers into his heat. Spreading his fingers obscenely wide. Din covered his face with his hands, "Mesh'la. " Paz whispered, raising on his knees to smooth his other hand down his clit. Then brushing it up his folds. Din flinched, shuddering at the sensation, Din's fingers were broad and rough. The calluses catching on against him, sending burst of pressure rushing through him.
Paz leaned down again, repeating the motion far rougher. Din flinched again, reaching out to catch the man's shoulder. Paz met his gaze, his pupils blown wide, "There you are." He leaned against Din, bracketing him as he began to move his hand rubbing over his sex. Din couldn't help the gasps that fell from his lips. Din felt his legs spread wider, pressing up against Paz. The man sighed, as his eyes dragged over Din, taking him in. It felt intimate. As if he were trying to see all of him.
Memorizing his face.
Din gasped, moaning into Paz's lips as he swallowed his moan.
Din shivered as Paz raised his cum filled hand, giving it a lick before rubbing it down his chin and neck and onto his chest. Din felt his blood rush at the motion. It was a primal thing that the older mandalorian clans did, that the alphas of Din's clan did. It was custom that alphas marked their omega and scented them. But It was rare that alphas were scented by their omega. Only those who were mated would rub their omega's cum on themselves. To show that their omegas had equal claim on them. "I am yours." Paz whispered.
Din hummed, as he pulled the other down, his heart racing as he pressed kisses along Paz's Jaw and neck. He gasped as he was pulled closer, Paz littering kisses down his chest.
"I want to see you come apart." Paz whispered against his lips, walking his fingers along the inside of Din's groin. One slipping inside him. Din fell back to the bed with a sigh, clenching around Paz as he moved his finger in slow circles, making his hips snap up, searching for more.
Another finger joined and Din felt himself growing wetter as they spread him wide, knuckles rubbing roughly against his velvety insides.
The pleasure burned in his lower belly, making him cant his hips and clench his legs around the hand. Blissfully moaning as two more fingers joined.
Paz groaned from over him, nuzzling his nose and suddenly fingers curled and Din jerked, "oh, please. Please Alpha."
"Cum for me ."
And Din did, a breathless gasp falling from his lips, as his hands tightened in his hair. "Oh."
Paz sighed, his breath tickling Din's chest, his teeth
Brushing against his nipples.
Din moaned again, his body trembling slightly, sweat was running down his face, and his eyes felt heavy but oh- he wanted more.
"So lovely, Ni kar'tayl gar darasuum, ner kar'ta, ner sun, ner being."
Bites were left down his body as Paz slowly made his way down, not leaving a place untouched on Din's body.
His gentle hands spread Din's thighs and he shivered as air tickled his pussy.
"Sarad." Paz mumbled against his cunt, Din shivered, pulling at his hair, trying ti bring him closer. "Oh please. Please. "
Finally, finally Paz licked into him. Moving between his folds and pressing deeper. Din arched up, but Paz pressed a hand against his navel holding him down gently but firmly.
Din came with a scream, his legs shaking,
Paz groaned deeply in his chest as he rolled, pulling Din with him.
He nearly collapsed as Paz began to eat him out with vigor. The sound was vulgar, squelching sounds as he dripped onto the man's face.
Din couldn't stop flinching as he was overestimated. It hurt but oh, oh it was so so good. Din began to hesitantly move himself up and down the length of Paz's face.
The alpha groaned and the noise vibrated against Din's core, broad hands flexing at his sides, pressing him closer against Paz's mouth. His nose brushing against Din's clip and he felt himself squirt. Shuddering as he came, his head falling back. He pulled against Paz's head but the man didnt let up, Din could feel himself puksing around the long tongue, enjoying the burn of Paz's scruff.
"Ah, ah, oh Paz ." He whined feeling himself cum again. It felt so good but he needed. "Paz please." He pushed against Paz's head, easing himself back. Paz released him , helping him back.
"Are you alright Cyrae?" Paz asked and oh, his voice, it was gruff and low. And his eyes were glazed with lust. "I want you."
Paz pulled him close again, sitting up, "You have me." He mumbled against Din's cheek. Din nuzzled back, feeling his omega purr in his chest. Paz held him gently in his arms and Din could feel the love in his embrace.
Din shifted closer, palming at Paz's erection which made the man shudder. He was suddenly lowered onto his back, Paz hovering over him. A hand dragged between his thighs, collecting Din's spend before rubbing it along Paz's erection as the man settled between his legs. A kiss was pressed to his ankle as Paz moved down, continuing to pepper kisses up Din's legs until he was once again hovered over him and then he slid in and Din cried, tears falling from his eyes.
Paz stopped immediately, holding Din, "cyar'ika are you okay? Din'ika. " hands brushed against his face and Din shook his head.
"I'm fine." He whispered brokenly want and love overflowing in his chest.
Paz pressed their foreheads together in a keldabe kiss. "Cyar'ika."
Din sighed, holding onto Paz's arms, feeling the sturdy muscle there. "Cyar'ika" the alpha brushed a gentle hand down Din's stomach and with a gentle thrust he pushed all the way in.
Din tossed his head to the side, gasping, " So big."
Amd it was true he felt like he could feel Paz all the way in his stomach, the girth of his penis stretched him out wide. He could only imagine how big Paz would after their courting and the man knotted him.
He shuddered as the thrust slowly began to grown in speed and force.
All he while Cyar'ika fell from Paz's lips.
Soon Din was squealing, his nails biting into Paz's back, moving fruitlessly as he lost himself to the pleasure, he could feel slick falling from between his thighs as Paz hit that space inside of him.
A high pitch scream left him and Din blushed, shocked that such a sound would come from him as he came again. Paz thrust twice more and Din came again, gasping, his cheeks burning, oh, he hadn't cum so quickly after another orgasm before.
It happened once more and his nails dug in deeper. And Paz released a low groan, raising his head to look down at Din, sweat hanging off of him , his hair a mess, his eyes dark with lust yet so intensely focused on Din. "Oh." He said deep in his chest and Din felt heat pool in his chest at the rumble he felt and heard from the alpha.
Paz rolled his hip, forcing Din's wider and he shuddered, broken cries falling from him as his head rolled against the bed. The sheets beneath him were soiled, and his hands fell heavy to his sides. One coming to his mouth for him to bite on as he contiuned to whine in pleasure. It was like a stream he just couldn't stop Cumming and Paz. Oh Paz hadn't even cum once.
Din was left a mess as he contiuned to making breath cries like a whore.
The overstimulation had subsided and he was just left with the feeling of aching pleasure.
"Oh, love, you feel so good, a gift from Kad Ha'rangir. How kind of him to gift me with you." Paz's voice was hoarse, deep and low and the sound filled Din with a burning pleasure.
His mind became hazy and he felt himself drifting off, a blissful smile on his face and little gasps were pressed out of him.
He was beginning to doze when his lips were caught and suddenly he was filled with a warmth.
Din shivered, squealing as he came, this one rocking his core that he nearly black out, his legs hitting the bed as he grabbed onto Paz.
The man above him moaned, pressing a kiss to the side of Din's neck, suckling before releasing it.
Slowly Paz pulled out and Din felt a heat fall over him, as cum trickled out of him. His legs were sore and he winced as he tried to close his legs, feeling completely stretched out. He could feel the pressure of Paz's cum in his stomach.and between his legs, squelching as he tried to move. His body was just weak.
"Mesh'la."
Din blinked open his eyes slowly, met by Paz's worried glance as a hand brushed away strands of his hair and gently sat him up. He was offered a glass of water and he didn't know when Paz had gotten up. The man hummed as Din drank it. Setting the glass aside when he was done.
"There you are."
Din smiled softly, nuzzling into the crook of Paz's neck and inhaling deeply. "Where else would I be?"
Paz shook his head, shifting slightly and suddenly Din was lifted, he buried his face in Paz's chest as he felt cum and slick run out from inside of him.
He was lowered gently into the bath, and couldn't help moaning as his muscles relaxed.
The bath was large and circular, one of fhe only perks of being the Mand'alor that Din actually enjoyed.
He watched as Paz sat next to him on the side if the bath reaching for something.
Din frowned, "Are you not getting in?" He asked, wincing at how wrecked his voice sounded.
"I Will after you've eaten. " Paz said presently a tray in his hands, looking far too pleased.
Din lifted his head with a challenging brown, "Oh and are you going to feed me?"
Paz hummed, "And anything else you like, I will gladly serve you Ner Mand'alor." He said offering a piece of fruit.
Din blushed, lowering his head as he chewed it and it was only then he realized that the tube was filled with a shivering oil and lavender pettles . It was no wonder he felt so calm. "Thank you."He mumbled. Paz chuckled softly, his scent one of affection and happiness. "Any thing for you my love."

Chapter Text
Luke woke to the slight shift in the force. It was subtle but it was a change he had trained to notice.
In one move he rose off the His bed, igniting his lightsaber as he spun on his heels onto to extinguish it immediately after.
His eyes widened as he stared at the man infront of him. Din was sleeping peacefully before him, nuzzled into his pillow, his chest rising and falling in deep breaths. Luke found it hard to look away although he knew he should. Din's hair was lightly curled at his forehead and over his eyes, his tan skin glowed in the rising sunset. He was lovely as he always was. The loose robe he wore was silk and red, and striking contrast to his honey brown skin.
Without his knowing Luke found himself crossing the room. This wasn't the first time he had dreamt about Din. But this certainly was the first time it felt so real. And Force it felt too real as he allowed the fingers which he was hovering over Din's face to brush against the soft skin.
That was enough to wake the other man, in an instant Din was up, his hand reached for the blaster sheath on his thigh , but nothing was in it. He seemed fresh out of sleep. His eyes though locked on Luke were blurry. And with reflexes only achieved from years 8f training pulled a hidden knife from beyond Luke's field of vision and held it up.
Luke felt his heart race as he watched brown eyes move around the room slowly before brows furrowed.
"You're not here."
Luke tilted his head, eyeing the ruffled sheets which gathered around Din's legs. "And neither are you." Luke said slowly. Raising his hand, if this was a dream, he'd never experienced one such as this. So real yet-
Din drew in another breath, releasing it with a deep sigh as the knife fell Into his lap.
"What is this? Is it a dream?"
Luke shook his head slowly, "I'm not sure." inhaling the sweet smell of lavender. Hesitantly he raised a hand, brushing damp hair away from the others face. As he did his eyes caught the bruise littered on Din's jaw and neck. No, not bruises.
"Oh." Luke whispered as his hands traced them.
Din shivered, tensing beneath his touch, "If it's a dream, it's the cruelest kind."
Din pulled away, slowly getting to his feet, "Os this some more jedi magic?" He asked setting the knife down ...somewhere.
Luke smiled slightly, though it didn't reach his eyes. Those were too busy mapping out every inch of Din's exposed skin, counting each and every love Bite that littered his skin. "That might explain what I felt earlier."
Din frowned, a question in the tip of his tongue before he shook his head, "where are you?"
"In my room-" Luke trialed off. Turning around he took in the long bow windows hidden by lavish red curtains. The chaise that had pillows and a woom blanket thrown over it. The neatly placed knives, blasters, and armor hung at the sides of a large closet. The pictures drawn by Grogu places along walls close to the bed. "I was in my room" Luke corrected, fixing his gaze on Din. The man had slipped on his helmet. The sudden loss of his face made Luke shockingly angry.
"Paz seems far nicer than I thought."
Din remained still, "He is my alpha."
Luke raised a brow, amused, "Oh, did he claim you already? "
Din lowered his head slightly in that way that told Luke he was glaring at him.
Luke held up his gloved hand, "I meant nothing by it its just...it's easy to call things ours when they aren't. "
A tilt of the head, Are you speaking from experience?'
"Perhaps akku ."
Another tilt of the head, " How long does this last?"
Luke shrugged, "I'm not sure."
"Have you tried to stop it?"
"No, I'm not sure what caused it and if it's the baby I don't want to mess with it. I already stressed their force signature more than I would've liked to."
Din held a protective hand over his belly, "Are they okay?"
Luke nodded, "Of course. I wouldn't let anything happen to them, or you."
A beat of silence passed before Din sat down, wrapping the blankets around himself.
"You're welcome to go back to sleep, I can't imagine us talking is very peaceful to Paz." He said lightly trying to hold down his anger.
Din scoffed, "Paz is already awake."
"Well tell him hello."
"He already left."
"Oh?"
"He has to train the battalion. "
"Oh."
Luke could imagine Din rolling his eyes. "Well slept is always an option."
Din scoffed again, this one followed by a snort. "So you can creepily watch me again."
Luke hummed, closing his eyes and recalling the memory of how soft and vulnerable Din looked whoke sleeping. "You're beautiful when you sleep, I want to commit it to memory. "
Din didn't respond, he turned away, rolling so that he was wrapped in the blankets.
Luke gave a soft chuckle.
He blinked and just like a blaster shot he was back in his own quiet, sun filled room.
It took Din far longer then normal to get ready in the morning, even as Iro fretted over him. "Sir you look like a bantha that got swallowed by a mudhorn. " Din wrinkled his nose at that visual, then wincing as Iro pulled his slash taunt. Iro was a old man-well older than Din, he was a retired mandalorian who had lived out most of his days with his mate. Afterwards he had taken to opening a small little clothing shop at the outskirts of mandalore. Din had encountered him on one of his patrols of the planet , he had given Grogu a free outfit without knowing who Din was. Since then Din had taken to visiting and having tea with the man. Once Bo katan had told Din that he needed to choose an attendant Din had instantly thought of the man and asked him. He was more than relieved when he said yes.
"I already knew that, I don't need you to tell me." Din mumbled.
Iro raised a brow, "I'm merely making sure you're self aware my child."
Din smiled slightly at that, lowering his head to hide it, causing some of his hair to fall into his eyes.
There was a click of someone's tongue before a hand caught his chin, raising it slightly. Iro's eyes softened and he gave a smile of his own. "Speaking of children..."
Din pursed his lips, "They're fine, Luke managed to get them to stop throwing Paz."
Iro hummed, reaching to the side to grab the outer layer of Din's robes, "Oh I've noticed."
Din flushed at the teasing look from the old man. Iro laughed, throwing his long snow white ponytail behind him as he moved to help Din into his robes. "Though I must say its all a little mess isn't it?"
Din tilted his head.
Iro waved a hand, "Just , having the father of your child here. I know you did love him, I can't imagine this feelings have entirely disappeared have they?"
Din fiddled with the purple sash, feeling the smooth fabric move between his fingers. "It hurts more to be around him now. "
"Have you spoken to him?" Iro asked lightly slapping Din's hands away as he smoothed down his robes. Iro had chosen a silken black robe with purple accents, inside of the sleeves and sash were all purple. "Yes we-"
"No no, not actually talked about how you both fell. Without it being because one is helping the other."
Din frowned, he didn't think he could talk to Luke without wanting to run off.
A ringed finger tapped his mouth and Din flinched slightly. "Stop that or you'll get wrinkles."
Din smiled, "Are they so bad?"
Iro scoffed, "Don't use me as reference, not everyone this blessed to look this dashing during their final years."
Din frowned again, "You're not that old."
"Oh sweet child I truly am, but I'm not going anywhere anytime soon." Iro said giving Din a soft pat to his cheeks as he lead him to the vanity, forcing him to sit as he gathered a comb and brush.
Din had taken to Iro like a pup did a parent and Uro had taken to him like a parent did their pup. He wasn't too prideful to admit that if anything happened to Iro he didn't know what he would do.
He didn't want to even phantom the idea.
"But as I was saying, you both need to talk, from what you've told me he regrets it and I'm not defending him but it sounds like what he did was out of fear and he does love you and your child...both of them."
Din wrapped an arm around his middle, curling in on himself or trying. A gentle hit to the back was enough to have him straighten.
"I'm happy with Paz. " He said feeling a smile tug at his lips as he thought of the man.
"I want you to be happy but I know that being around Luke troubles you and what happens when he becomes a constant in your life because of the child you share together."
Din swallowed, trying ti just focus on the gentle brushing of his hair, "I'll deal with it."
Iro hummed, adding in the simple chained head piece above piece ear, carefully bringing it toward the other, "It's best to live with indifference than bitterness ." He said, giving a gentle tap to Din's shoulder as he finished.
"Helmet or no helmet?"
Din fiddled with the hanging jewelry behind his ear, a faux mirror of an earning. "No helmet." He'd be with the younglings most of the day anyways. Amd if anything he could just slide on his helmet.
Iro came to stand infron of him, a purple powder on his pinky, with practice swipe he wiped it across the space above Din's eyebrows. "There we are."
The sun was beating down Luke's back and the bustling of the city was but a muffled noise in the back of his racing mind. He was moving through his katas moreon muscle memory as his mind raced. Dim was with Pax, they were courting eachother and they jad slept together. Even now the flashes of the marks on Din's skin haunted him. He wasn't his anymore, he probably never was.
Luke's movements became more erratic, lightsaber slashing through nothing and that only made his anger bubble up even more. He was losing himself in it, drowning, and at the slight shift in the air he turned, ready to strike down whoever had thought it was a good idea to sneak up on him.
His lightsaber met the dark metal of beskar and he had to stop himself from baring down, to find a way to reach the skin underneath.
He dropped from his stance, eyeing the taller man.
"Skywalker."
Luke inclined his head, "Vizsla."
Paz gave a kind smile, "My apologies, I realize how foolish it is to sneak up on a jedi." He began as Luke distinguished his lightsaber, resting it on the clip at his side. "Though I couldn't help but notice you practicing and wondered if you would like a friendly spar."
Luke folded his hands at his back, eyeing the mandalorian. He was in simple armor, that was closely fitted to his body, it didn't cover all of him, mainly the most important parts such as arms, chest neck and legs. The parts that were exposed revealed a black tunic, similar to Luke's jedi robes but , thicker and sturdy and only one piece. He held two staffs at his back, one of which he held out. Luke eyed it before taking it. Testing the weight, "Are there any rules?"
Paz shrugged, walking a good distance away , swinging his own staff, "Whoever can't continue losses. " he said , getting into a stance.
Luke tilted his head slightly, raising an inquiring eyebrow. "And this is merely a friendly spar."
Paz nodded once before his eyes narrowed slightly, "Unless you want to challenge me for something."
There was a tone in his voice, a smugness that made Luke scowl lightly, though he was quick to cover it.
"And of course." Paz continued, "No use of your jedi magic."
Luke huffed, "Din has rubbed of on you I see."
A sly smirk slid onto Paz's face, smugness clear as day.
This time Luke did scowl, rocking forward on his heels , staff poised for a strike.
Din couldn't help the grin on his face as the children gathered around him, all asking questions and telling him about their day, talking over eachother until it was near impossible to know who was speaking and the task of discerning each story was becoming all the more difficult. But even so he held onto every word as they made their way to the accolade room. They had all passed their trials much to his joy, it was hard not to feel a swell of pride for the children under his care. He had unofficially adopted them into his clan, with them being orphans, and had made time to train them. He didn't ha e any doubt that they would pass but still there was something nearly unbelievable about it.
In his hands Grogu babbled delighted, nuzzling into Din's chest as his little hands tapped along the mustache on his face. The little one was always so excited to see his face and Din shared the feeling. Now that they Grogu was his actual son he could see his face as much as he wanted, and Din could look upon him with his own eyes instead of the faceless visor of his helmet.
"-and then we had to fight Miss. Soniee and Mr. Paz"
Din smoothed a hand down Grogu's head as he nodded along to Vax's story. The little boy was waving his hands animatedly, nearly hitting Luz in the head much to Din's amusement.
Tor gasped as she shuffled to stand closer to Din, shaking his robes in her small fist, "Now that we're part if your clan Mr. Din does that mean you're our father?"
Din felt his heart leap as he stared down into wide brown eyes. They were afterall in his care...
"Yes, I suppose it does." There was audible suprise as the children all looked to him and his heart swelled.
Nyra slowed down slightly to walk closer to them, pulling Cirus with her, "Hey, if Mr. Din is your father that means Mr. Paz is your dad too." She said and Din felt his cheeks heat and he nearly tripped over his robes.
Flushing as a chorus of " really?" Exhoed throughout the small group.
A part of Din wanted to ask where Nyra heard that from but Din had heard the not so subtle talk between Han and Leia, and even Bo Katan had caught notice of his and Paz's budding relationship so he supposed it wasn't really a secret.
"Well."
"But what about Master Luke?" Cirus said with a frown and Din wanted to dissappear into the ground.
Clearing his throat Din pushed open the accolade door. Inhaling the archaic smell of metal . It was an old ceremony room, a place where the palace armorer would create the new armor of the mandalorians who passed their trials. There wouldn't be any need for that, Din had gotten all clan kids beskar armor, he didn't see the point in wasting resources to make practice armor. And besides it was best that they were safe from the star rather than later. The room was lined with rows if seats and long stain glass windows. In the middle was the pool where the armorer would melt the metal to create the armor. But now it remained empty. He made his way towards it, the children following with poorly masked awe. As they grew closer Din could feel their excitement as they took in the cans of paint.
Din set Grogu gently to the ground as he picked up his armor piece, "This is the symbol of our clan, the mudhorn. You can choose what color you use, just as long as you paint this symbol on your armor okay?"
The kids nodded. Uyr raised his hand, " Mr. Dim, what if we mess up and it doesn't look like the mudhorn?"
Din smiled slightly, "As long as you try your best it will be fine."
Cirus moved forward, "can we paint something?" He asked timidly.
Din reached behind himself, pulling out his two vambraces, "You cam paint these."
Nyra inched closer, hesitancy on her face e, "Are you sure?"
Din nodded. And just like that whatever hesitancy was there was instantly gone and she took the two armor pieces handing one to Cirus.
Din turned to Grogu beding down so he was eye level with his son, "Well little guy, what color do you want?"
With a tilt of his head, Grogu wobbled toward the cans of paint, looking at each, and by looking Din meant dipping a hand into the paint to see what color it was. Din sighed, not even feeling worried by the long bath Grogu was going to have to have.
Instead he hummed to himself as he waited for Grogu to bring a can of paint over to him, pushing it infront fo his little body.
Din took out the shoulder piece of his armor and handed it to him. Settling beside him as he began painting the other one. Paz had already given him a piece if his armor. Now Don wanted to give him a piece of his own. His hands slightly shook as he ran the white paint down it, the color of safety , and the mudhorn a mark of his clan, of his home. The message was simple he wanted to make Paz a part of his family. To accept his courting gift.
Soon him and the children fell into a peaceful calm of pai ting and chatting with the occasional gasp and laughter as paint got on arms and cheeks.
Luke wished he could track the moment that this became less of a spar and more of a way to get a reaction out of him.
Or perhaps it had always been just that.
Paz's question of if he regretted not mating Din hung heavily in the air.
The yes was on the tip of his to gue but he did t know ow if he could or should say it.
So Luke ran his tongue over his teeth, refusing to answer.
"Either way I must thank you , had you not hurt him the way you did I fear I would e still been pinning from a distance." Paz continued, as Luke ducked under Paz's staff, bring his up in a block which he used to bare down against the man's wrist.
"Though I suppose how you did it was fairly smart, share his heats then cut yourself off from all responsibilities. " Paz leaned in close, his warm breath hitting Luke's face, "If I am to be honest, I must admit I am bitter that you got to taste his treasure long before me, though it did make having him all the more better, erasing every trace of you from his body. Perhaps I did a good enough job that your child has forgotten who their real father is."
Luke bared his teeth, sliding his staff from Paz's, his brought it between them, using it to block Paz from coming any closer, kicking him away, Luke used the moment when the man stumbled to close the distance between them. Hitting his in the chest with one end of the staff, pivoting so that he was at the man's side, he kicked off the ground, aiming the staff fir the man's head. It slid within the strands of his hair caught in a ponytail, and as Luke landed he came behind Paz, using his new hold to bring him down before placing the staff around his neck and pulling.
The man arched back, hand scrambling for the staff as he gasped. But Luke didn't care, he saw red, he continued to pull, feeling the pressure of bone against staff.
Paz fell forward as Luke released him, gasping, though the gasps soon turned into broken laughs. And Luke was shocked to see a grin on the other's face. "Ah, so jetii do have emotions."
Luke swallowed, feeling his hold on his staff loosen. "I-"
Paz sat on the ground, still breathing a little hard, "You do love him." There wasn't a question , it was a statement, one Luke felt light headed at, not knowing what to do he kneeled on the ground, using his staff to hold himself up. "I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me."
Paz held up a hand, "I would've been mad if you hadn't reacted. "
Luke looked away, " it doesn't matter now."
"Maybe not but it won't just go away."
Luke felt his grip on his staff tighten. I still don't see why it matter."
Paz scoffed, loud enough that Luke could hear it and he found his gaze back on the mandalorian. "It meana there's still time. I haven't claimed Din, and he hasn't given me his own courting gift yet. But even so, courting takes a while. So you could still..." He waved a hand in the air, "Court him."
Luke clenched his jaw, "Why are you telling me this? Do you want me to take him back from you? I thought you loved him." He felt a sudden anger rising in his chest again.
Dark blue eyes met his , the stare of them intense. "Oh make no mistake, I love Din more than anything he is kair’ta, ner runi. But unlike you I love him enough to give him a choice. No matter his feelings for me, he once had feelings for you and he also carries your child." He raised a hand for Luke's silence, "Don't mistake my love for Din as me giving him up. He is a treasure unlike any other, one that you refused to see the value in, and whether it be fear, disdain, love or all, you hurt him and I will not tolerate that. Personally I don't believe you deserve him. But I don't believe I do either. But more than that. I would hate to bond him and later on when his anger towards you subsides he is faced with regret."
"He's already happier with you."
Paz rose to his feet, his eyes narrowed , "Yes. But could he have been happy with you?"
Paz didn't wait for an answer, he turned on his heels, walking through the clearing and back toward the palace.
Leaving Luke to his thoughts.
Swallowing he fell back on his b, crossing his legs and resting his staff atop his lap. He needed to meditate, and once his head was cleared then he would consider what Paz said.

Chapter Text
Din hummed as he nuzzled further into the solid warmth around him.purring as hands wrapped tighter around him, pulling him closer. He melted as he felt a chuckle vibrate through the hard plains of chest. He tensed as he realized he had been moved from his desk and onto a bed. Pushing himself up he made to get out if bed or grab his data pad but he was held in place by large hands.
"You owe me an hour more of sleep my dear."
"I have work to do." Din argued only to break off with a laugh as wandering hands trailed over his sides, walking along them. Innocent enough to seems like little more than exploring but insistent enough to be seen for what ut really was.
"Paz-" He broke off with another laugh. Shifting as beat he could to try to get away.
Paz nuzzled further into his neck, his scruff tickling his neck. The man hummed, his hands still moving about Din's sides. Making him laugh, even as his stomach hurt.
"Stop- stop-" Din shrieked as he fell breathless against the bed. Paz rose up, looking down at him, his eyes softening, "If I could bottle your kaugh, I would keep the sound for the rest of my life."
Dim closed his eyes, "You'll get the rest of our lives to hear it."
"A gift I will forever be grateful for."
Din shook his head catching his breath.
He watched with amusement as Grogu drew closer, climbing over Din to hit at Paz's arms.
"Oh, do you want some too?" Paz pulled Grogu to him, tickling the child. Din grinned at the giggles that left Grogu as his little arms flayed.
Two quick knocks came from the door, Dim frowned, sitting up, he was sure no he didn't have any meetings and he wasn't expecting any one.
Tightening his robe he put his helmet on as he opened the door.
He nearly slammed it just as quickly as he opened it.
Luke stood before him, his hair combed back neatly and he wore a simple white blouse tucked into his black pants. It was....odd to see him so dressed down.
Din tensed only to relax as a heat pressed against his back, and arm crowding his as Paz peered over his shoulder . "Skywalker. Here for another spar?"
To Din's suprise Luke smiled slightly, "not necessarily. He turned to Din, eyes meeting his from behind the visor like always.
Din swallowed, looking away even though that didn't matter. Shouldn't matter.
"I was wondering if I could have a moment of your time. "
"I don't think-" Din began only for Paz to interject.
"- of course. I promised to show the children my jet pack so you will know where to find me after wards."
Luke hummed , still watching Din who suddenly realized he was backed into a corner.
"I just need a moment?" He mumbled. Relieving a nod in return as he stepped back, forcing Paz to move with him before closing the door.
The glare on his face felt permanent as he removed his helmet. Setting his gaze on Paz who looked ever the innocent. As he shuffled through Din's closet. "You should wear blue, you always look so lovely in blue." He said as he held out a robe, this one silk and near see through.
Din took it hastily, "Why would you do that?"
"Do what?" Paz asked as he stopped Din from putting it away. With ease he began to put it on Din, despite his protest. Paz dodged out of the well aimed elbows, clicking his tongue he pulled Din up, pressing him a few inches into the wall and trapping him as he closed the light blue robe around him. And wrapping the sash around his waist with care. "Do you always give Iro so much trouble."
Din frowned which made Paz frown back mockingly. "Thank you sky's that you wear a helmet, however you manage to intimate anyone is beyond me."
"I'm the most feared bounty hunter alive. Don't forget that."
Hands wrapped firmly around his waist as Paz leaned forward, tipping his head down to fully meet Din's gaze who refused to look up to meet him. "My dearest I would never forget, but for all those you fear I merely find myself weak at the knees in your presence. "
Din bit the inside of his cheek to try to calm his blush. With a huff he kicked out, Paz getting the message put him down gently. Allowing Din to pull away from him. "
"Aren't you forgetting something?"
Din stopped, the fabric head piece moving with the movement as he turned back to face Paz.
Dim sighed deeply, moving forward to take the darksaber from the man. As he pulled, Paz didn't let go, his dark eyes staring down at Din, "You should be more mindful of this cyar'ika. "
Grogu fussed from his spot in Paz's hand. Pulling the alphas attention. And all it took was one more
tug before Paz let go. Din held the darksaber in his hand tightly. Swallowing slightly.
He leaned over, pressing a kiss to Grogu's head as the child settled down. He ran a finger down long ears before pulling away.
Luke was waiting at the end of the hall when Din came out. Seemingly meditating. Din took slow steps towards the man, using the time it took to get there to clear his mind and calm his emotions, the darksaber heavy in his hand.
"You wanted to speak with me?"
"Are you alright?" Luke asked st the same time, opening his eyes as he pushed off the wall.
Din tilted his head, "Is there a reason I wouldn't be?"
Luke stared at him before his eyes flicked down to his belly. "Never mind." He turned on his heels, gesturing with his hand down the hall. "Shall we?"
Din raise dhis chin as he stepped next to Luke, "leading me through my own fortress."
Luke chuckled lightly, the sound made something in Din twist. "I'd never dream of it , but Leia says I should have more manners. " He waved a hand, "be more of a gentleman."
"Oh."
"Oh indeed." Light blue eyes met his, "I like your-" Luke huffed as the words left him, instead waving a hand over his face.
Din ducked his head, hands twitching to touch the veil. "Thank you...Paz thought I should wear blue. Says I look lovely in blue." Din mumbled wrinkling his nose.
Luke nodded, eyes growing distant, "I'm inclined to agree, though you do look lovely in everything. "
Oh. There it was Din pushed the fuzzy feeling he felt down, clenching his hands tighter on the darksaber, "what did you want to talk about?"
"Us. Or rather the mess concerning us. I don't think we've been very clear or honest with eachother." Luke paused. "Or rather, I haven't and I would like to...fix things between us. At the very least to return to a more acquainted related. "
Din was silent as they headed through the palace doors and into the back garden. He was slightly surprised Luke remembered the way to his private gardens. The stairs were lined with vines and bushes, hiding most of it from view. The garden itself opened to a small waterfall, withakeshift benches of stones that were on the grass just far enough from it to avoid getting wet. There were only hydrangea , irises, marigolds and his favorites, peonies.
Luke settled on the stone bench over looking the waterfall, leaving the spot next to him next to the peonies for Din. And foolishly Din had the urge to ask him if he remembered.
Luke tilted his head back, inhaling deeply, "It's been a while, but I still share a fondness for this place." His eyes opened, gazing over toward the bank, water just teasing the bed of peonies and- Din swallowed as their knees touched. His face heating and his heart racing as he watched Luke's eyes darken as he stared at the spot.
The very spot Luke had taken him all those nights ago, only for Din to wake up to peonies braided in his hair and neat crow atop his head and bracelets along his hands and ankles to match.
Din looked away, smoothing a hand over his darksaber which rested in his lap, forcing the heat to leave his body.
"What did you want to talk about?" He asked, hoping to stair the conversation away from the past.
"Right." Luke chuckled again, reaching into his pocket before holding out his hand to Din.
Hesitantly Din opened his palm to accept whatever it was. Closing his hand around it once Luke dropped it into his palm.
Din turned over the gift, a lovely neon emerald stone which seemd to exhibit its own light source. The chain which held it was beskar steal, the dark black only made the stone stand out more. "I don't understand ." He said slowly, eyeing the necklace, it clearly meant something more, what he didn't know.
Luke gently took his hand, and Din did his best not to tense. This wasn't the time. Luke was making an effort and he needed to meat him halfway. If not for himself than for their child.
Luke's hand slid down his arm until the other held his. Din wanted nothing but to have his gloves, the tingle of the cool metal made his skin tingle and- he paused. The cool metal. A breath escaped him as he realized that Luke had removed the glove of his right hand. He had only done that once between them. During one of Din's heat, he hadn't even understood what happened. But he just wanted Luke closer and to see all of him, feel all of him. He had been crying when Luke didn't remove his glove. But eventually he did. Running his hand through Din's hair and over his cheek. Nuzzling his cheek as Din held onto his hand, pressing it against his chest. It had calmed him.
Luke held his lightsaber out, "A Jedi's lightsaber is their life." Releasing it, the weapon began to float and click, slowly disassembling. "A Kyber crystal gives the lightsaber life. It chooses the jedi. A balance in the force." The kyber was released. Falling , and out of Instinct Din reached out to grab it. It was then he felt the unevenness of it. Turning ut over in his hand Din felt his breath leave him. As if a puzzle, there was a chunk missing from the crystal.
"I don't-"
Luke leaned forward, gentle hands reaching out to push the veil up to show Din's face. Din had to fight to meet his gaze, his panic freezing as Luke spoke. "I've lied to you many times, thinking I could protect you, protect myself. I'm tired of lying. All those memories you saw were the rawest form of my emotions. I do love you Din, and I understand it may too late for us but I want to be there for you, for our child. If you will allow me I'd like to court you. Not romantically, I don't want to overstep but perhaps I can make amends to repair the friendship we once had."
Din swallowed, looking down to both halves of the kyber crystal, "This feels alot more than just amends of a friendship."
Luke hummed, and suddenly the scent of him was so close and lips were brushing the side of his mouth. "I won't lie about what I want , but I also won't make it affect you or Paz. You deserve everything and more, your happiness is more than enough for me."
"But why now? Why not before?" Din blinked as he felt his eyes become wet. "Why didn't you allow yourself to love me when I could love you."
Luke brushed a hand under Din's eye, wiping away tears. "I can't Luke. I -" more tears fell from his eyes.
"I know. I'm sorry." The words were mumbled against his lips and Din shivered. Like was close, too close.
Din tensed, "Luke-"
"You've done nothing, this is on me." He said as he pressed his lips against Din's. His hands flexed at his sides, he wanted to reach out, but he couldn't, oh he couldn't do that to Paz. And the thought that he even wanted to kiss back, that he wanted -
Din pulled away, heart racing, as he pulled his veil back down, tears running from his eyes freely. "I love Paz." He whispered, feeling his stomach twist, he wanted to wipe his lips but he couldn't even do that. Getting to his feet Din straightened his clothes.
A throat cleared, snapping Din's attention to the stairs a d his heart dropped. "Iro."
"A transmission from Boba Fett came in."
Din lpoked down to his comm, turning it on he flipped through his contacts. "I didn't receive anything ."
Iro held up his own transmitter, the hologram showed A message from Boba.
Din frowned, "How long was that?" He asked rising to his feet, pulling his robe tighter around himself as he made his way across the room. "Half an hour ago, you have about an hour before he gets here."
"An hour!"
Iro waved a hand, "I was told you were having an important conversation." He shrugged." Amd you don't have to be very formal. Any ways."
Din sent a silent thanks before the words caught up to him, "How far away is he?"
Iro rested a hand on his hip, a smile pulling at his lips, "he's here now."
Boba fett was by no means a ruthless ruler and he certainly wasn't the type of alpha to poster, but Din was sure he was doing so now.
Especially as Din and Iro greeted him.
Din fell back a few steps while Iro bristled as he moved up to the man to take his coat.
, "Fett." The Daiymo said.
"Cadar" Iro replied taking the offered hand.
Din almost couldn't hold back the sound of surprise as Boba lifted the hand to his lips.
Iro blinked once, and Din nearly fainted seeing the shy look on the fifty six year olds face. Iro cleared his throat, taking a step back, folding the garments over his arm. "Pleasure..." He added before trailing off.
"Is all mine." Boba finished.
Din's eyes widened and he shent a look to Fennac but the women remained passive as ever.
Din didn't have time to dwell on it as he Boba's gaze fell on him, his gaze trailing over Din, "You smell different. " the older man closed the distance between them, nosing at Din, before pulling away, a smile on his face, "clan of two my ass."
Din lowered his head feeling suddenly shy.
"How far along are you?"
"About a week or so."
Boba laughed heartedly, "Do you know if they're a boy or a girl? Actually don't tell me, I wanna be surprised."
Din found himself grining, "I feel it might be a little girl but I'm not sure."
"Feel or hoping?"
Din shrugged, feeling warm as the man who had basically taken the position of a father to him laughed. Even Fennac was smiling. "Congratulations. " she said with a nod of her head
Din nodded back, "Thank you."
Boba nudged him, " So who's the father."
Din bit his lip to hold back a whine.
Iro stepped forward, and Boba's attention snapped to the older omega. "Did you want dinner now? Or to wash up first? You arrived rather late so I apologize for our lack of hospitality. "
Boba clenched his jaw, looking back to Din, raising a finger, "We'll talk when you're ready." He looked down at Iro, "I'll have a bath in my chambers first."
Iro nodded, ushering Fennac "I'll show you to your rooms."
Din was dreading to return to his room, he trusted Paz flwholeheartedly. But he was still an alpha through and through and they were territorial. And Din had let Luke kiss him, had let him give him a courting gift. Let him do all the things a good omega wouldn't.
With a sigh he pushed open the door, pulling off his face wrap.
Closing his eyes, he clenched it between his hands.
"Grogu is with the students, Nyra and Cirus wanted to -" Paz stopped talking , "Mesh'laare you okay?"
"He saw my face, I let him see my face."
There was the faint sound of boots approaching, than the familiar heat of Paz infront of him. "Oh."
"I'm sorry."
"What do you have to be sorry for? He is the father of your child. He's as much your clan as I am."
Din bit his lip. "He also gave me this." He held up the necklace, the kyber crystal felt heavy in his hand.
There was a beat of silence ,"This is lovely. " Paz said appreciatively as he held the Kyber crystal between his fingers. Din frowned, "It's a courting gift, or a freidnshio courting gift."
"A little to sincere to be a friendship courting gift....it's from his lightsaber correct?"
Din stared as Paz continued to observe the gift, seemingly uncaring. "Paz."
Dark blue eyes snapped to Din, brows raided in question while amusing glinted in his eyes. "Elek ner mesh'la cyar'ika, Nau be ner oyay, kar'ta be ner runi."
Din glared, though the omega purred in his chest. "Does this not bother you?"
"Should it? Are you so easily swayed from me that it should." Paz drew closer, pressing Din into the wall, "Because either way I will not let go of you so easily."
Din shook his head, feeling tears prick at his face, "He also kissed me."
Paz stared down at him, crowding him until all he could see and feel was the alpha before him. "And how did that make you feel?"
Din bit his lip, "I wanted to kiss him. But only for a moment."
"Oh, did you think of anything else?" And there was the alpha, territorial and possessive.
Din didn't tense however, "No."
"Are you certain?"
"No."
Paz hummed into the crook of his neck. "Need I remind you of who you gave yourself to?"
Din pressed his head against the wall, offering up his neck. Before pressing Paz away gently.
A mistake Din realized as the man growled low in his throat.
"I just want to give you something alpha."
Reaching towards his armor stand, Din pulled the wrapped piece of metal from his place atop it. Holding it out.
Paz took it, eyes still dark, darker than normal, Din pressed close to him, chest to chest as he watched the man unwrap the gift.
"I gave myself to you."
Paz's gaze softened, as he stared at the painted shoulder piece."Oh ner runi."
The man pulled Din close, forcing him into a bruising kiss.
Boba hummed as he heard the door open slightly before closing just as quickly. The silent pads of barefeet stopped just about of the curtain which hid the bath from prying eyes. "You summoned me Daiymo."
Boba he'd low in his throat as he listened to that voice, low with a soft grit that tickled his ears. And that smell, that lovely smell. Boba leaned his head back against the side of the bath, tapping his hand along the sides. "Come closer."
There was a pause before the curtain was pulled back and Iro stepped forward. His white hair was pulled into a high ponytail which put his neck on perfect display, the faded mating bite on the left side in clear view. His green tunic was pulled tight around his waist by a white sash that match the loose sleeves under his tunic. Green was a lovely color on him. "What may I do for you?"
Boba tried to meet those green eyes but couldn't as Iro kept his eyes trained on the floor.
"Attend me if you will."
Another pause before Iro drew close, sitting on the side of the tube before taking the sponge, he began to run it down Boba's chest. His other hand rested on his shoulder, so that he didn't fall into the tube.
Boba took it, pressing a kiss to the wrist and enjoying the soft gasp that left Iro's lips.
He tried to shift away but Boba kept a tight grip on his hand. Iro pressed his other hand to Boba's shoulder, keeping himself steady, "If I recall, I no longer bare the collar that was once around my throat."
Boba met his eyes, "And if I recall I was never the one who made you wear it." He released the hand, allowing his fingers to trail over the time worn skin, feeling faint scars beneath his hand.
Iro pulled away, his glare could make a lesser man Crumble. "Right, my husband was the one who did."
"He knew the person who did."
"And that gave you reason to kill him." The words were hissed as Iro moved to stand. But Boba was faster, wrapping a hand around his waist and holding him there.
"You still had no right!"
"If I'm so wrong than why haven't you told Din?"
Iro contiuned to struggle, pushing frantically at the hands which held him. "I could have reasoned with him."
Boba pressed his hands to the back of Iro's neck as the man grew more frantic, his thumb pressing into the other's mating glands.
In an instant Iro fell back against him, and Boba caught him, bringing him into the water. He pressed the other close, running a hand through his hair and pulling it free of its binds. "There you are. "
Iro shook his head, "I hate you."
"No you don't." His hands brushed the lean neck, humming deep in his chest.
"I don't." Iro mumbled, hanging his head.
Boba began to massage his hair, lathering it.
Iro pulled away slightly, sniffling, "What do you want now."
"What I've always wanted you."
Iro titled his head slightly, allowing Boba to trail a hand down his neck, "me."
"Yes, your next heat is coming."
Iro tensed, pulling away, shuffling his way put of the bath, dripping wet. His robes hanging off of him showing the skin of his shoulder and collar. "So thats what you want. An omega to bed."
Boba stood, stepping out of the bath, "No, don't put words in my mouth."
"Then why did you keep track of my heat?"
"I've already said told you and I'm not in the habit of repeating myself."
Iro wiped a drop of water from his eyes. "I'm not in the habit of giving myself over to alphas who only want me because of my heat. "
Boba growled low in his throat closing the distance between them, holding onto Iro as he pressed him into the wall.
"Impatient alphas. Angry alphas. Selfish alphas." Green eyes glared up at him.
Boba met his glare. "I am tired of waiting. I've waited years upon years. Give me an answer or allow me to move on."
"Move on to another more willing omega."
Boba didn't expect the kiss he pressed against Iro's lips. Tasting that sweet pomegranate on his skin. The spicy scent of his heat approaching.
"I've wanted you for too long , you are the only thing on my mind, the very thought of you is overwhelming. " He hissed as he leaned in for another kiss. Iro tensed before melting against him.
"I Hate you." Iro murmured as he blinked water from his eyes. "No you don't."
Iro gave a light chuckle, "I don't. "

Chapter Text
Din was going to throw up.
Iro smoothed down the cape at his shoulders humming softly as he looked at Din in the mirror.
"There is our Mand'alor. " He said proudly and the bile rose further in Din's throat.
Din was fitted in black and gold, the color of his clan.
The cape was far longer than it needed to be, not only falling to the ground but leaving a trail a meter or two behind him, a painted mudhorn lay at the middle of it. A stark black to the golden ichor to the sleek black of the long tunic he wore. If felt more like a dress in his opinion, close fitting with long bellowing sleeves, even the hood he wore bellowed at his shoulders, draping just wide enough to show his helmet which too was far more form fitting, outlining the shape of his cheeks and jaw.
He was advised not to wear his armor, this was a peace treaty of sorts, not a declaration of war Bo and Iro had said so Din had no option but to agree.
With a sigh Din fell back against his bed despite Iro's annoyed click of the tongue. "Is it really so bad?" The man asked with hands on his hips.
Din tilted his head, "Do you want me to answer that?"
Iro shook his head, smoothing down his own black and gold robes. "Honestly, and here I thought I was past the age of having children."
Din poured, knowing somehow Iro would know he was. And he was right as the man clicked his tongue again, wiggling his hand for Din to take. "Enough of that. I didn't spend nearly a year getting you ready to be Mand'alor for you to throw all my hard work away. Now straighten up and chin up."
Din bit back a huff as his shoulders were bodily forced down and his chin was forced up.
"Maybe I'd be more inclined to act the part if I could dress like how I want."
Iro wrinkled his nose, "You mean wear the same armor and blacks day and night until you smell like a bantha crossed with a krayt dragon."
"I'm inclined to disagree but I have more self preservation than that."
Din grinned at the new voice, turning as Iro hummed, "That you do boy, now take this one out of my hair." He said pushing Dib lightly toward Paz.
Paz was decked out in all armor, a semblance of black, silver and red. Though the shoulder piece he wore was painted gold- it was Din's that he gifted to him. Seeing him in it made Din grin from beneath his helmet.
"Well isn't this a handsome knight on shining armor."
Paz closed the distance between them, holding out his hand which Din took, allowing the man to pull him close. "If I'm a knight in shining armor does that make you my damsel in distress?"
"If I was you'd have to sweep me off my feet."
Paz hummed, leaning down to press their helmets together, Din leaned in, pressing up on his toes only to let out a sudden laugh as he was suddenly lifted, Paz hummed as he carried him across the room and through the hall.
"Are you announcing your courting today?" Bo asked as they approaced. She was dressed in her own black and blue.
Beside her was Fennac, Boba, Han, Leia and ...Luke.
Din smoothed down his clothes as he was set to his feet, feeling his cheeks heat, "No. Not today."
He took Grogu from Boba's arms, grateful that the man wore his bucket so Din could pretend not to know the look Boba was sending him.
Din grinned , cooing at Grogu, he was dressed in the chainmail armor Din had gotten made for him, and with a light tunic underneath.
Din couldn't help himself as his eyes were drawn to Luke, the man was dressed in all white, a high collar, with a cape sleeve, he wore two gloves, one white and one black. His pants were tight fitting falling into high boots. He looked handsome as he always did and the way he was talking animatedly to his students, and the children of Din's clan, only made that more painfully obvious. Especially as be drew out a few laughs from them. The sound made Din feel warm. And it was only when Paz knocked their shoulders together rthay he realized he was purring.
Swallowing the sound he nuzzled Grogu as best he could as they entered the balcony, overlooking the banquet.
Din made himself busy with settling Grogu down in his highchair, then helping his other children atop their chairs as well. Smiling softly as they smiled widely at him, missing teeth and all. Before even himself sat down in the middle of them.
He allowed the others to dissolve into mindless chatter that matched the crowd below, stifling a laugh as Leia berated Han who was seemingly challenging Fennac to see who could catch the most berries in their mouth with their eyes closed. The action spurring Cirus and Nyra to try as well.
Iro however seemed to be doing his best ignoring Boba even as the man leaned closer to him and Din tilted his head. He had...noticed, that Iro smelled alot like Boba but he had chalked that up to them being in the same company but now he wasn't so sure.
It was only after a few minutes that Din stood, clearing his throat, as he regarded the crowd below."Greetings Mand'alor and allies, I thank you for taking the time to be here, I understand that this may not be the best of times but I hope this union can move us forward towards a more unified Mand'alor. "
Din tensed as a knife imbedded into the table before him. The sound of people standing up sounded. A hand closed around Din's arm but he waved them off.
He pulled the knife from the table, stepping around it toward the crowd.
His eyes fell upon the figure who stood at the centre of the crowd, his yellow and red armor shining in the moonlight.
"I Sal of clan Saxon challenge you, Mand'alor Din Djarin for the darksaber."
A silence ran through the banquet which made Din's ears ring. He felt over one hundred eyes on him, waiting expectantly for his answer.
Din slowly spun the knife around in his hand, the movement easy feeling his heart begin to take on a unsteady rhythm. "And why, Sal of clan Saxon, do you wish to challenge me now?"
The mandalorian raised their chin, hazel eyes narrowed, "Because I refuse to watch the destruction of my home planet take place once again. Before clan Vizsla ruled with power and strength, a time when clan Saxon rejected the leaders. But then even the renowned clan Vizsla fell and it was my clan with the power of the empire that kept the hope of mandalore alive. Now once again the greatness of Mandalore is being threatened by an omega fondling who has no ties to the throne other than the darksaber. "
Din looked down to the knife in his hand, grip flexing on it.
Luke could feel Bo-Katan and Paz Vizsla's unease even with out the force. Paz was leaned down slightly as Bo-Katan whispered frantically in his ear as they watched the entire ordeal.
"Why doesn't he answer?"
Paz tensed, his hands flexing at his sides, "he can't."
Bo-Katan shook her head, "Why! If he doesn't he may as well forfeit, the people will look at this and call him a coward. Only proving Saxon's point."
Paz seemed to tremble as he leaned closer, "Because he's pregnant. "
Bo-Katan straightened suddenly, almost knocking her head against the man's jaw. "What! Then go fight in his place."Bo whispered angrily.
Paz shook his head sadly, "The child's not mine, and we have not mated. "
Bo-Katan made a distressed sound, her gaze turning back to the scene infront. "If clan Saxon gets the darksaber I fear for what will happen."
Luke spared a glance to Leia who was already looking at him.
She raised a brow, tugging at their bond.
If you do this, there's no more denying anything.
Luke nodded, stepping back from the table, Leia's hand gentle brushing his as he passed. He looked toward Paz, who met his gaze through the visor, the man turned back to the scene infront if them, shoulders falling and Luke relaxed ever so slightly.
Closing the rest of the distance ti stand just behind Din. "I will fight in the Mand'alor's place, Cabuor ner adiik."
Luke rolled his shoulders back ignoring the wide eyed looks from Bo and Iro.
He moved to the edge of the balcony, looking down at the man standing in the middle of the crowd.
Without stopping he walked off the balcony.
Igniting his saber as he landing. The emerald blade was duller than before but still made the same Humm.
Sal tilted his head, stalking forward, "So the Mand'alor is just an omega whore. Hear me by brothers and sisters. Follow me and I will lead us to a greater Mandalore, one that doesn't bend to the whims of outsiders." He drew his sword from the sheath at his back. "You will be my first example jetii. "
Luke blinked slowly, holding his saber loosely. Just shifting ever so slightly as Saxon charged.
"Skywalker."
Din but his lip as Boba eyed him from his seat, the elder man had taken off his helmet so the anger and disappointment was evident in his gaze.
"He's a good man-" Din stared though his voice sounded weak even to himself.
"That's not why I'm angry."
"You also have no right to be angry." Iro spoke up.
Boba froze, a beat of silence passed by before he growled low in his throat turning his gaze from Din to Iro. And Din flinched.
He had seen angry alphas, they feral and rabid. Amd Boba looked every bit of it. Yet Iro merely blinked at him, annoyance clear on his face."whatever past you have with Luke doesn't matter here. He cares for both Din and the children and that is enough."
Boba leaned closer to Iro and Din slammed his hands against the table, drawing everyone attention." Enough." He said quietly. But it was enough to calm everyone though Boba still postured but Din didn't care. Fearfully he met Paz's gaze, not sure whether to be happy or not that their helmets were still on. "I'm sorry. If I could fight I would-"
Paz shook his head, taking Din's hand in his under the table. "I gave him permission, if he can not be there for you he can atleast be there for your child."
Din froze, staring wide eyed at Paz before drawing his hand back. "You gave him permission." He could fele anger rising at the back of his throat as his own growl rumbled in his chest.
Gabe Luke permission to what? Court him? What was Din some prize to be won? Or to be passed on.
Drawing in a breath he moved away from Paz even as the man tried to catch his hand again. Opting to stand at the edge of the platform overlooking the fight.
Luke was always an amurable fighter. Watching him fight was like watching him dance, graceful and seeing like one fluid motion. A perfect balance between grace and aggression. But as the fight went on his movements became less balanced and more aggressive. Each swing aimed to hurt 8nstead of disarm.
"Maybe I'll make him my bitch."
Luke snarled, swinging his saber to hit down on the man's vambrace. Sal grunted, pivoting but Luke struck out, hitting him in the stomach stopping the man. Flexing his grip Luke pushed forward, forcing Sal back, grining at the huff that left the man's lips.
Putting his weight to his back leg, Luke kicked out sending Saxon falling to the ground, rushing atop him, bringing the lightsaber down atop the helmet, watching with morbid fascination as the helmet began to splinter.
His hands shook, not from strain, but from adrenaline, from anger, the man's words echoing in his head. With a growl he moved back, leveling his saber at the man's throat, "stand."
Luke walked slowly around the fallen figure, his lightsaber just a hair's breadth away as he came to stand behind Sal Saxon.
He urged him to stand, walking toward where Din stood seemingly frozen.
"Kneel." Luke said. Holding his lightsaber across Saxon's neck.
The man swallowed, slowly falling to their knees before Din. It was only when their head touched the floor that Luke retracted his lightsaber. Moving around them to step closer to Din. He fell to his own knees, holding the blade out . Bending his head to stare at the floor he waited. "Ni ceta "Luke understood how the phrase would be taken, as an apology which is still what he meant. But he also hoped that Din would take it in the literal sense, "I kneel." As he kneeled there offering his lightsaber to Din. He wondered if the other still remembered what Luke had told him all those nights ago. "A jedi's lightsaber is their life."
Din slowly made his way down the stares. His visor on Luke but he could feel those eyes on him.
He watched the miniscule swallow as the man reached out, taking the lightsaber. Hands closed around the hunt, extinguishing the blade and Luke swallowed.
Din looked down to Sal, head tilted slightly, and lightsaber held tightly in his hand, "Sal Saxon do you accept my hand in peace?"
"No." The man gritted through bloodied teeth.
Luke tensed, eyeing him.
" will you accept defeat?"
"No."
Din paused, "will you try to kill me or anyone of my clan again?"
"Yes, though I would keep you as the omega bitch that you are."
Luke didn't know what happened , his hand shit out, clenching around nothing but Sal began to choke. Gagging on his own breath.
Din drew closer, a suddenly a black blade protruded from Sal.
With a breath Luke released his hold, watching as the man fell to the ground.
Slowly Din rested his darksaber at the side of his hip once more. Rolling his shoulders back as he looked out toward the crowd. "Anyone else who wishes to challenge me please do so tomorrow, I'm rather tired. " He turned back to Luke, holding out the lightsaber.
Luke stood, taking it from the other.
And he swallowed down his disappointment as Din turned, walking into the dance hall as music slowly began to play, not sparing him another glance.

Chapter Text
Din stared at the city from where he stood in his office. The majority of clans had already began to clear out, while some still refused to leave, getting in fights with his guards. It was nothing they couldn't handle.
Turning away from the view below, Din wanted nothing more than for a drink. But unfortunately he couldn't, so he opted for the next best thing. Wallowing alone in his darkened office by himself.
It wasn't even a full hour before a sharp knock came at his door and little warming than, "I come bearing gifts." That his door was pushed open.
"The Mand'alor is supposed to invite you in." Din gritted out as the door to his office swung open.
Cobb rolled his eyes, "Well if I listened to you you might actually become one with that chair then Mandalore wouldn't have a ruler." He said stepping inside, with a swing of his hips he shut the door. Stalking forward with his normal prowl.
Din eyed the bottle in his hand, "I'm not allowed to drink remember. "
"Again with the doubt, it's bone alcoholic, a gift, I'm sure you'll still like."
With a huff Din pushed away from his desk, chair and all to grab two glasses from his cabinet.
"So what have you been up to lately?" Din asked, breaking the silence, watching as Cobb filled each glass.
"Oh you know, just marshal duty, helping strangers like yerself who are just lost or passing through...or both. " Cobb paused to take a sip of his drink, "Though, there is this one fellow who just can't seem to leave."
Din leaned forward, elbows on his knees, "Ehat kind of fellow? How long has this been going on? Do you need help?"
"Woah , no need to hit me with your motherly instincts."
Din wrinkled his nose with a scoff, to which Cobb just grinned. "Nothing bad, pretty sure he's one of those jedi fellows. Helped with alot of cases, all for some help in exchange. It's just he seems to find himself coming back for the oddest of darn reasons."
"Such as?"
"A loss lolth cat, then mos reading the coordinates for a lead, oh and my personal favorite, that he got off on the wrong port stop."
Din frowned, "but no teleportation services run through Mos Eisley."
"Exactly." Cobb clicked their glasses together, downing the rest if his before pouring more.
"Does this fellow have a name?"
Cobb hummed, kicking his feet up onto Din's desk, "Quinlan Vos. "
Din filed that name away, he was sure Bo-Katan or Rizla wouldn't mind doing some extra digging.
"What do you think he wants?"
Cobb shrugged, "I'm not sure, but it doesn't seem to be any trouble so I don't mind."
Din eyed his closest friend, taking in every miniscule movement and tick before a grin broke out onto his face. "You sly Fox."
Cobb looked to him with wide eyes, "What did I do now?"
"It's what you want to do to yer fellow."
Cobb nearly fell out of his chair, "Hey now, and he's not my fellow. "
"Oh but you're working on it aren't ya." Din cackled as Cobb turned beat red.
Din smiled, reading over the ingredients of the bottle, because he was suddenly feeling far lighter than before. But true to word there wasn't any alcohol. "So you're saying you don't find him attractive ." Din pushed, lifting hid gaze.
Cobb had a hand over his mouth, ear redder than bantha fire. They held eye contact before the man broke. Face falling into his hands, "He's so kriffing sexy and he knows it to."
Din snorted out a laugh, rocking in his chair.
And he could forget about the stresses weighing on his mind. The possible uprising, the future of him and Paz, the standing with Luke and his public claim of their child.
If only for tonight, he'd allow himself to forget
