Chapter 1: Stopping A Merchant Cosplaying as a Llama God

Chapter Text

Keefe Vacker was sleeping when the llama god with a hip ring showed up. “KEEFE VACKER, the llama god known as Arceus said in their booming voice, THOU MUST GO TO THE PAST IN MY HOME UNIVERSE AND STOP THE ONE THAT IS KNOWN AS VOLO.”

“Wha, wha, what are you doing here?” Keefe asked, scared of Arceus appearing and what that would mean for him.

“NO TIME FOR QUESTIONS, THOU MUST GO NOW! ” Arceus shouted as they made a swirling purple and black portal that seemed to go on forever. Then Keefe blacked out.

#

As Keefe regained consciousness, he shook his spiky blond hair out of his icy blue eyes and saw that he was in a very swampy area and that people were walking toward him, hopefully friendly. As he stood up, he was able to tell that the people walking toward him were three women, all looking different, yet similar. Keefe walked to the women, hoping that they would know where he was and would be able to help him, but as he got closer, he was able to tell who the women were.

“Coin, Clover, and Charm, the Miss Fortune sisters,” Keefe said loudly.

“Yeah!” Keefe said to their shocked faces, “I know who you three are! You don’t need to waste my time by introducing yourselves!” Keefe shouted at the women.

“Why you gotta ruin all of our fun like that! That’s one of my favorite parts of this job, along with the money and valuables we get!” said the youngest of the three, Coin.

“Calm down sister, it saves us time anyway,” said the oldest of the three, Charm.

“You two take too long. Abomasnow, go!” said the middle sister, Clover.

“Uh, I don’t have any Pokémon and I don’t want to be robbed, so BYE!” Keefe said while running away.

“You think you can escape us? Gengar, get him!” said Charm as she released her Pokémon.

As Keefe ran away, the Gengar traveled through the shadows and as it appeared, almost in slow motion, Keefe knew that he was done, then the Gengar poisoned him. As he blacked out, he saw several people in navy clothes fighting against the Miss Fortune sisters, both groups using their Pokémon.

#

“How do you feel?” someone asked.

Keefe blinked, rubbed his eyes, and checked his surroundings. As his eyes cleared, he was able to see who was next to him, someone with blue and white clothes, an arm wrapped in bandages, and light blonde hair mostly dyed blue. Keefe had seen this person before. The person next to him was the Diamond Clan leader, Adaman, and that meant that Keefe was in the Diamond Settlement, home to the Diamond Clan and is in the Crimson Mirelands, which was where he must have landed.

“Hello, Adaman!” Keefe said.

“I don’t know you, yet you know me. How?” Adaman wondered.

“Let’s just say that ‘Almighty Sinnoh’ decided that they needed my help related to a certain blonde merchant who is bad at their job and decided to dress up in a bad llama god cosplay to meet the llama god and rewrite the universe in their liking,” Keefe explained.

“First off, tell me about Almighty Sinnoh and second off, Volo did what?!” Adaman exclaimed.

“Well, I'm sorry to tell you that you are not following the right ‘Almighty’ Sinnoh, as there are four main gods, Dialga, the god of time, and the Diamond Clan worships them, Palkia, the god of space, and Pearl Clan worships them, Giratina, the god of antimatter, who is not worshiped but is teamed up with Volo to get revenge against Arceus, who is the god of everything and the creator of this universe,” Keefe explained, and he suddenly heard something on the bedside table next to him make a noise like a phone message coming in.

Keefe picked up the thing that made the noise and recognized it as an Arc Phone. There were four messages. The first read, “Hey this is Dialga. Why do you got to be like that? I like being worshiped and being told that I am the best and only god. Plus, I’m pretty sure you broke the leader of my followers.”

Adaman did indeed seem to be broken, so Keefe snapped his fingers in front of Adaman’s blank face a few times and went back to reading the messages. The second of the messages read: This is Palkia. Please don’t tell the Pearl Clan about the other gods. Keefe laughed at that and made a mental note to tell Irida about the other gods if he ever saw her.

Keefe then read the third message, which read: This is Giratina. I have no idea what you are talking about. Why would you think that I am involved in Volo’s plan to rewrite the universe in their own image after meeting Arceus? Though I do have to like how you call them a merchant bad at their job and that they are cosplaying as a llama god.

Keefe laughed at that. What made it even funnier to him is how someone would describe it. The god of antimatter told a time traveler, who already knows what happens, that they aren’t working with a merchant bad at their job who decided to cosplay as a llama god, then try and meet said llama god and rewrite the universe with the llama god.

Keefe then decided to stop being insane for a bit and read the fourth and final message, which read: THOU HAVE MADE A TERRIBLE DECISION, AS WHENEVER SOMEONE SAYS THE NAME OF A REGION, PAST OR PRESENT, IT ALERTS ALL OF THE GODS OF THAT REGION AND ALLOWS THEM TO LISTEN IN TO THE CONVERSATION. NOW GIRATINA KNOWS ABOUT THOU KNOWING ABOUT THEM WORKING WITH VOLO. AND BEFORE THEE TRY AND ASK, YES, I DID KNOW ABOUT GIRATINA, BUT I COULDN’T CHANGE ANYTHING OR IT WOULDN’T MATCH THE EVENTS THOU KNOW ABOUT. NOW THOU MUST TRY AND EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED, AND MOST DEFINITELY EXPECT VOLO TO KNOW ABOUT THEE AND THAT THEY ARE PREPARING FOR THEE.

That was not what Keefe had expected Arceus to say. Keefe had expected Arceus to say something like, “THOU HAVETH MADETH A GREATETH DECESIONETH TO ALRETETH THETH ONETH KNOWNETH ASETH THE CLANETH LEADERETH ADAMAN!”

Keefe was disappointed in himself. He had tried to get the gods to do something about Volo and Giratina, but they wouldn’t. So, if they wouldn’t he would have to try and do it himself. Well, not by himself exactly, as he needed backup and he knew just who to ask. It was time to bring in the twins from Jubilife Village, better known as Rei and Akari.

#

“So,” Rei, one of the blue-haired, navy clothed twins, said after Keefe had explained what had happened since he fell from the sky, “You need our help to stop Volo, who apparently wants to rewrite the universe, whatever that is, with the true Almighty Sinnoh?”

“Yes,” Keefe said, “And the simplest definition I can think of for the universe is the collection of planets in a certain plane of existence.”

“So,” Akari said, “You basically want us to fight someone we trust, who now wants to destroy a bunch of planets and make a bunch more plants in the way he wants them to be?”

“Yeah, basically.”

“And you just fell out of the sky how many days ago? Rei questioned.

“Adaman, how many days was I out?” Keefe asked.

“Uh, how many days have I been out?” Adaman questioned.

“Two days and a few hours,” Keefe responded.

“Well,” Adaman said, “You were out for two days, and I was out for two days apparently, so that adds up to about four days since you fell from the sky, and Giratina and Volo have known about you for two days, so time is of the essence.”

“Well,” Keefe said, “It’s time to catch some Pokémon and train for battle. Are you guys with me?”

“Well, I’m in,” Rei said, “If only because you have had direct contact with the gods and Almighty Sinnoh.”

“And if my brother’s in,” Akari said, “I’m in.”

“And you can count me in, of course,” Adaman said, “But remember, time is of the essence.”

“Is that your catchphrase or something?” Keefe questioned, “Because I got to say, it fits your personality and the god you worship.”

“Well,” Adaman explained, “I do like to say it when I have little time to spare.”

“Adaman,” Keefe said, “That is a catchphrase.”

“Isn’t ‘time of the essence’ or something?” Akari questioned.

“Alright team,” Keefe instructed, “It’s time to go to the Crimson Mirelands.”

#

“So, Keefe,” Rei asked as they traveled on quick deer and horse-like Pokémon, “Do you have any particular Pokémon that you want?”

“Definitely a Goodra, one of the ones that are Dragon and Steel types, and a Gardevoir, but besides that, we will have to see what I get.”

“Alright,” Adaman said, “I know where to find the first evolutions of those Pokémon.”

“Well, lead the way!” Keefe said.

“Slow down,” Adaman instructed, “I recommend that you start small and work your way up.”

“Well,” Keefe said, “Ralts, a Fairy and Psychic type, and the first evolution of Gardevoir is small and requires stealth to catch, so that would be a good starting point.”

“That’s true,” Adaman said, turning to the twins, “We must make sure Keefe doesn’t get hurt and remember… time is of the essence!”

#

“Do you know how to catch Pokémon?” Rei asked.

“I know the theory of it,” Keefe responded.

“Well, I hope that’s enough,” Rei said, “Just make sure you stay hidden and throw with just the right amount of force, not too much, not too little.”

“Okay, I think I know what to do to catch it. First, I must hide, then I have to ready a PokéBall, and then I throw it with the right amount of force at the Pokémon. Good?” Keefe said.

“One more thing,” Akari said, “I think it is fitting to use the advice that Volo gave us against him, which is that if you hit a Pokémon from behind, they are easier to catch.”

“Oh yeah, I forgot about that,” Keefe said.

“How could you forget something that you never knew?” Akari asked.

“I know most of everything that happens, I just don’t know how to move my body to do what is required to do the stuff.”

“Well,” Adaman said, “The best thing you can do right now is improve from the experiences.”

“Well,” Keefe said, “Just standing around and talking isn’t going to help, let’s go.”

“That’s what I like to hear from an honorary Diamond Clan member, let’s go!”

“Dude, you can’t just say that and then say, ‘let’s go’,” Keefe said.

“Time is of the essence!” Adaman said.

Keefe groaned at that and said, “Alright, let’s go.”

Keefe sneaked up to the area with ruins, where the Ralts lived. As he went around the corner, he was able to see several of the green, pink, and white Ralts, but he only needed one of them.

Keefe ducked into a bush and took inventory of his PokéBalls. He had about 20 each of Great Balls, Wing Balls, and Leaden Balls, along with several different types of berries to use as lures. He decided that he would use a Razz Berry as a lure and a Wing Ball to catch one of the Ralts.

He dove and rolled out of the bush, and crouched down behind a ruined column, closer to the Ralts this time. Keefe quickly moved from behind the column and threw the Razz Berry about 15 feet from himself, and once Keefe saw it land, he ducked back behind the column.

Peeking out from behind the column, Keefe saw all the Ralts turn towards the berry and walk towards it. He readied a Wing Ball and threw it towards the Ralts and… wholly missed all of them. Or he would have, if a blue, orange, and white Ralts hadn’t teleported, with its back facing towards him, right where the ball was going.

The ball shrunk down the Ralts, and the ball rattled three times before a firework went off from it.

Keefe was dumbstruck. He had completely missed his throw, but then a shiny Ralts had teleported to where the ball was going. It must have been a mass outbreak, otherwise, he was extremely lucky. But Keefe knew one thing. That catch had been fate and that much was clear.

Keefe ran back towards the group, excited to show off his catch to them. On his way back to them, he caught a Shinx, an electric type, as well as an Hippopotas, a ground type, all caught in a similar way to his first, but with less extreme luck, and more he threw the balls and the Pokémon stayed in luck. When he caught sight of them, he ran faster.

“Guys!” Keefe yelled as he ran, “I caught a shiny Pokémon and a few others!”

“A shiny Pokémon!” Rei yelled to him, “One: do you know how rare those are? And two: how did you catch it?”

“Yeah, I think it was a mass outbreak, so the odds are lower somehow and you better sit down for the second part.” When they sat, Keefe told the story.

“So, I threw a berry as a lure, and when I threw a Wing Ball, it missed all of them and a shiny Ralts teleported in with its back facing towards me, so the Wing Ball had an increased catch rate, and after it rattled three times, the fireworks went off. Oh, and I caught a random Shinx and a Hippopotas.”

“Wha, wha, wha?” Adaman stammered.

“Well, moving on, I have three out of seven so far, so I need to catch four more and train up all of them to about level 75,” Keefe said.

“Isn’t the max number of Pokémon that you can carry at a time six?” Akari asked.

“Well,” Keefe explained, “I know Volo isn’t going to follow the rules, so why should I?”

“Because it is the right thing to do,” Akari said.

“We are trying a guy who wants to rewrite the entire flipping universe, and you are saying that I should follow the rules on how many Pokémon I can carry? Priorities woman, priorities. Now I am going to catch more Pokémon, so bye,” Keefe said, walking away from them, hoping that him going somewhere, in an area that he only knew from above, without telling anyone where exactly he was wouldn’t end up causing problems for him.

#

Welp, Keefe thought, I jinxed myself. Right now, there was an alpha Hisuian Goodra about to kill him, and Keefe was trying to duck and roll away from the beams of energy that the Goodra was sending towards him, hoping that he wouldn’t get hurt, either from having no skill and tripping or from the Goodra just being better than him.

As Keefe did another dive roll, it was with a more definite purpose now. He was dive rolling towards a small, gooey type of dragon species with the name of Goomy. He crouched-walked up behind one of them and threw a Leaden Ball right at one of the Goomy’s backs. The ball rattled three times before the fireworks went off from the ball. He now had four of the seven Pokémon he wanted.

Remembering that there was still an alpha Hisuian Goodra trying to kill him, Keefe ran away and talked to himself, saying, “So I now have four Pokémon, and I need three more, so what should I get? Well, a Fire type would be nice to counter Volo’s Roserade, which is a Grass and Poison type, but there are literally no fire types in the Crimson Mirelands.”

Keefe sighed before he continued to talk to himself, saying, “Well, a flying type would also work well against Roserade, due to flying types being good against grass types. I think that a Staraptor would work well, due to Starly, the first form of Staraptor, being common in these parts, and not having the weakness to Poison types, unlike a Togekiss. Alright, so I already have a Ralts, a Shinx, a Hippopotas, and a Goomy, and I also want a Starly. Oh, and I definitely need an Ice type to counter Garchomp, which is a Dragon type, and a Ground type. But I doubt there are many Ice types in a swampland.”

Keefe screamed in frustration, then yelled at the sky, “Why the hell did it have to be me, Arceus? There are limitless universes full of people with 100 times my strength, smarts, and knowledge! It could have been any one of those people, but you chose simple, basic me!” Keefe waited for a response, before yelling, “That’s what I thought, you don't have a response, huh? Are you ashamed that you chose someone random instead of someone qualified?” Keefe screamed in frustration again, before yelling, “Is this part of your plan? Do you think that I will go and try to show that I am qualified? Well, guess what? I’m not doing this because you want me to, I am doing it because it is the right thing to do! Capisce?”

With his mouth dry, Keefe thought about what Pokémon he already had and would need to counter Volo’s team. Volo has Spiritomb, a Ghost and Dark type, which I counter with Gardevoir. Volo also has Arcanine, a Fire and Rock type, which I counter with Hippowdon, but I also should get a Water type. Volo also has a Lucario, a Fighting and Steel type, which I also counter with Hippowdon. They also have a Togekiss, a Fairy and Flying type, which I counter with Luxray. The final one that I already have a counter for is Giratina, a Ghost and Dragon type, which I counter with Goodra. So, I need to get a Ground type to counter Arcanine, and I already plan to counter their Roserade with a Staraptor, which leaves their Garchomp. I could easily counter it with an Ice type Pokémon, but there are literally none in the Crimson Mirelands, so I need a backup plan. Garchomp is also weak to Dragon and Fairy, and I think I know just the right Pokémon for the job.

#

“Why did I decide to do this by myself?” Keefe said as he trudged through the mud, the mud making squelching noises around his boots, “Why do I have to be so insane? Why does Arceus have to be so insane?” Keefe sighed in frustration and anger, both from himself and Arceus.

“YOU WILL UNDERSTAND WHY ONE DAY, AND NO, TODAY IS NOT THAT DAY!”

Keefe looked all around, unsure where the voice had from, but he knew who it had come from. Arceus had finally decided to comment, but just like always, it was unhelpful and useless. Keefe sighed again. “Well, it's good to know that some things will never change!” He yelled at the sky.

Keefe ran through the mud, not caring about the mess and noise he was making, as the only thing that he was thinking about right now was his frustration. Suddenly, he heard a noise behind him. The noise of flapping wings and based on the way his clothes were whipping around, they were big, powerful wings. He turned around as much as he could and saw that the thing that he had been looking for had found him first. He was staring right at an alpha Starly.

“SHINX, GO!” Keefe shouted as he threw the Shinx’s PokéBall at the Starly.

“Shinx, use Thunder Fang!” Keefe ordered. As the Starly started to fall from the air, Keefe readied a Great Ball and threw it at the Starly. The ball rattled three times on the ground before the fireworks went off. Caught!

Now I just need to catch two more, Keefe thought, A Water type and a Togepi. So, my target right now is a Togepi, or a Water type if I see one.

#

“Well, that is definitely a Togepi,” Keefe said aloud as he looked at the alpha Togepi, “Let’s see if I can catch it.” Keefe readied a Wing Ball and threw it right at the Togepi’s back. The Wing Ball rattled thrice before the fireworks went off.

“Jeez!” Keefe said, “My catch luck is so good right now. I guess Arceus might have done something nice to me. Well, time to get a Water type.”

#

“Water types found!” Keefe said, “Water and Ground are the best to counter Arcanine, so I’ll get a Barboach, which is both a Water type and a Ground type. Wing Ball, go!” The ball did what he expected it to do, rattle three times, then fireworks go off.

“Well,” Keefe said, “Time to find Adaman, Rei, and Akari and start training. Maybe Shinx will be able to sniff them out. Shinx, go, sniff them out!” Keefe said as he threw out Shinx.

The Shinx started sniffing around and eventually started running in one direction, with Keefe running after him, and eventually, they got back to the Diamond Settlement.

“Hey, guys!” Keefe said as he saw them, “Do you guys want to meet my team?”

“Sure!” Akari said as she saw him.

“In order of when I caught them, first is my shiny Ralts, Jolie, and she will evolve into a Kirlia and then a Gardevoir and will always be a Psychic and Fairy type. Second, my Shinx, who is named Lux, and he will evolve into a Luxio and then a Luxray and will always be an Electric type. Third, my Hippopotas, who is named Hipster, and he will evolve into Hippowdon, and will always be a Ground type. Next, my Goomy, named Goopy, and she will evolve into Sliggoo, then Goodra, and is currently a Dragon type, but once she evolves for the first time, she will be a Dragon and Steel type. Fifth, my Starly, named Star, and he will evolve into Staravia and then Staraptor, and will always be a Normal and Flying type. Sixth, my Togepi, named Eros, and he will evolve into a Togetic and then a Togekiss, and is currently a Fairy type, but will be a Fairy and Flying type once he evolves for the first time. Last but not least, Barboach, named Cash, and he will evolve into a Whiscash, and will always be a Water and Ground type. Any questions, comments, or concerns?”

How did I manage to do that in one breath? Keefe thought.

“I have a question,” a bystander who had been listening asked, “How did you manage to do all that, especially based on your skinniness?”

“I have literally no idea. And looks like we are out of time. Bye, I’m off to train, might be back one day, might not. Adaman, Rei, Akari, let’s get out of here.”

#

“Well, that was something,” Keefe said after they had finished training all of their Pokémon up to about level 75. All his Pokémon were now fully evolved, and he was ready to face Volo. “It’s time to go to Mount Coronet, and from there, the Stone Portal, and from there, the Temple of Sinnoh. Who’s with me?” Keefe said.

“You know I am,” Adaman said.

“You can count on me!” Rei said.

“Let’s go take down that lying, back-stabbing, traitorous monster!” Akari shouted enthusiastically.

“Thanks, guys. Now let’s go!” Keefe shouted.

#

“So, this is Mount Coronet,” Keefe said, “Does anyone want to race to the top?”

“Wouldn't that get in the way?” Rei asked.

“No, as we would be moving faster,” Keefe explained.

“That makes sense. Let’s do it,” Adaman said.

“So, for racing, you can either ride on a Pokémon on the ground or ride on a Pokémon that can fly,” Keefe explained, “Everyone ready?”

After everyone got ready, Keefe started the countdown, “Three… two… one… GO!” And they were off, Adaman and Rei riding on land Pokémon, and Keefe and Akari riding on aerial Pokémon. Everything was fine until the last stretch before the Stone Portal, which is not a portal and more of a tunnel. The stretch is infamous for having a strong alpha Electivire, an Electric type, and a bane against Flying types. The Electivire in question started to charge up a ball of electricity, and while Keefe ordered Star to land, Akari did not do the same with her Staraptor.

“NO!” Rei shouted as he saw his sister and her Staraptor limply fall from the sky, smoking from electrical burns, and Akari's face had been covered in ash and burns to the point where any form of expression was unreadable.

“EVERYONE, QUICK, CATCH HER BEFORE SHE HITS THE GROUND!” Adaman shouted, starting to panic.

“EROS!” Keefe shouted as he threw out the Togekiss’s ball, “QUICK, GRAB AKARI!” Keefe also sent out Hipster, to deal with the alpha Electivire Eros flew as fast as he could, but it wasn't fast enough. Akari plummeted to the ground, everyone running as fast as they could, but it felt like they were running in slow motion. Akari wasn’t even screaming, or maybe she was, and their screams were just louder than hers. They were 20 feet away from where she would land… 15 feet… 10 feet… CRASH! Akari hit the ground, her Staraptor next to her, both severely injured, if not worse. Rei ran up to his sister, checked her pulse, and started sobbing on her body. Akari was dead because none of them were fast enough.

After all of them had cried until there were no more tears to cry, Rei said in a sniffly voice, “Let’s go, she wouldn't have wanted us to just sit and cry, she would have wanted us to move on and finish the mission.” And that’s what they did.

#

“I’ve been expecting you,” Volo said in all their llama god cosplayer glory, their long blonde hair up behind them, mimicking the way Arceus’s head looks, as the group exited the Stone Portal, “Though I was expecting there to be another one of you. Did you lose someone on the way up?” Volo asked with a mocking laugh.

“Well,” Keefe said, “Then I guess we don’t have to waste too much time with introductions. Jolie, go!”

“Spiritomb, go!” Volo commanded, “And use Dark Pulse on those tag-alongs!” Spiritomb sent out dark rays toward Rei and Adaman, and they fell to the stone floor, unconscious.

“Jolie, use Moonblast!” Volo’s Spiritomb staggered, but they were not unconscious.

“Spiritomb, Dark Pulse again!” Volo commanded. Spiritomb sent out the dark rays of the attack, but more directed than the last time. Jolie staggered a bit from the damage but was still able to fight.

“Jolie, finish off Spiritomb with Moonblast!” And that’s what she did, the Spiritomb now unconscious.

“Lucario, go, use Bullet Punch!” Volo commanded as they sent out their Lucario.

Julie fell to the floor, unconscious. “Hipster, go, and use Earthquake!” Keefe commanded as he sent out his Hippowdon.

Volo’s Lucario staggered and fell to the floor, knocked out.

“Roserade, go, use Petal Storm,” Volo commanded.

Hipster staggered from the atack but was bulky enough to keep going for a bit. “Hipster, quick, use Earthquake!” Keefe quickly shouted.

But it wasn't quick enough for Hipster, as Volo commanded their Roserade to use Petal Storm again, and this time the damage was enough to take down Hipster. “Are we just going to trade back and forth?” Keefe shouted at Volo, “Cause I go to say, this is getting boring. Can you just lose two Pokémon in a row this time?”

“While I do have to agree that this is getting boring, I’d rather not lose two Pokémon in a row. Maybe you could?” Volo shouted back.

“Eh, well. Star!” Keefe said, quickly changing his mood, “Use Sky Attack!” Volo’s Roserade fell, knocked out.

“Arcanine, quick, Rock Slide!” Volo commanded.

“Close Combat, NOW!” Keefe shouted, hoping Star would be able to hit Arcanine before Arcanine could hit Star, and for the first time in a long time, Keefe got lucky, Star had been able to take down Volo’s Arcanine, and with some lucky dodging, not taken any damage.

“Time for a battle in the sky, Togekiss go!” Volo commanded, “And use Moonblast!” And Star was finally taken down.

“Lux, go, and use Wild Charge!” Keefe commanded.

As the Togekiss fell, smoking from the electricity, Keefe’s mind went back to the alpha Electivire, suddenly he was being shaken.

“Are you OK?” Volo asked with genuine concern.

“Not really. Wait.” Keefe said.

“Yes?” Volo asked.

“Did you just ask… if I am okay?” Keefe asked, surprised.

“Yeah, I guess I did,” Volo said.

“Why did you?” Keefe questioned.

“Because it was the right thing to do,” Volo said.

“Then why are you trying to rewrite the world?” Keefe asked.

“Because it is the right thing to do,” Volo said.

“Well, I'm sorry if that is what you think because I am pretty sure a llama god and their children are about to blow you up,” Keefe said.

“Arceus, show yourself!” Volo shouted, “At least so I can see you before you kill me! If you don’t, I will kill everyone!”

“GOODBYE VOLO,” Arceus said, appearing from out of thin air, “I WISH THOU COULD HAVE BEEN MORE LIKE THE DIAMOND OR PEARL CLAN.”

“Well,” Volo shouted, “Too bad! And sorry for your loss!”

“WHAT DOTH THOU MEAN?” Arceus asked.

“The loss of everyone here!” Volo shouted, “Garchomp, Earthquake! Giratina, strike them all down!”

Volo’s Garchomp popped out of their PokéBall and Giratina appeared out of a portal, one that looked very similar to the one that Keefe had gone through to get this universe. Keefe grabbed the PokéBall that held Goopy, and he was going to throw it when the floor shook, and some sort of energy came from Giratina, and the energy was coming right at him. And then the energy hit him and instantly everything went black, the noise of the earth-shaking disappeared, and he could no longer feel his own body. Then his mind went black.

Chapter Text

“AHHHHHH!” Keefe screamed as he suddenly started falling from something in the sky, but that wasn't the only thing that was sudden. Keefe's scream didn't sound like it normally did. It was more high-pitched, more girly. And when Keefe looked at his body, he saw that it wasn't his body, but Akari's, still covered in electrical scorch marks.

Keefe was thinking that he had died, but had somehow been resurrected into Akari's body, but in what was likely a separate universe, either because one of the gods wanted him to fix something, or because they were just bad at their jobs. Keefe thought the first option was a bit more likely, but with these gods, you never really know.

Oh yeah, Keefe thought, I am still falling. "AHHHHHHHHHH!!" Keefe screamed, "SOMEONE SAVE ME!!!" Keefe rushed closer and closer to the ground, yet it felt like he was going slower and slower.

Then he hit the ground, not as hard as he was expecting, but still hard enough for everything to black once more, but as he was losing consciousness, he saw someone walk towards him.
