Chapter Text

Fezco and Ash get ready for the night, Fezco knows exactly what its going to entail of, selling weed, selling drugs, talking to sketchy people and beating up Nate Jacobs.

Obviously you would expect violence to at the top of fezcos list but actually he hates it he’s always envied people who live a normal life, people who can do normal stuff without having to think about major consequences. People who didn’t have to go to a creepy old ladies house to get drugs or strip naked incase he could be wearing a wire. He’s always wanted a normal life and New Years night in a really weird way was the start of it.

When Fezco and Ash got to the party they started there rounds of selling made a couple bucks and all that, Fezco needed a breather so he sat down on what looked like quite an old couch. The room was boiling hot and he couldn’t hear himself think over the loud music so he smoked his blunt and zoned out, until an absolute god send sat down next to him.

Lexi Howard, brunette hair in a crown braid wearing red flared pants and golden embroidered blouse. Yeah yeah he was quite the observer too. He had recognised her from the time she came to his shop with Rue and then again when she came round his house with rue and rue said she looked like bob ross he can’t remember much of it though because it was ages back and he was high out of his ass.

Debating wether to say anything he finally gained the confidence and came out with a loud “yo you rues friend right” “Lexi?”
“Yep thats me” Lexi said sounding a bit confused kind of like she didn’t know her own name.
“Its a nice name… Lexi”
Lexi loved the way Fezco talked it was funny but also really settling and nice.
“Not gonna ask me what my name is huh” Fezco said abruptly after a few seconds of silence.
“Fezco you really think I don’t know your name. “Honestly im surprised you remembered mine, most people I meet don’t pay that much attention to me they mostly focus on Cassie” She’s started rambling now. “Sorry that sounded so depressing im really sorry”
“Yo calm down ma its aight and of course I remembered you, you were hella funny and real sweet trust”
“Ha thanks” Lexi says talking into her chest.

At this point they’ve hit it off Lexi starts ranting about something so strange and out of pocket and to Lexis surprise Fezco listens. Fezco finds it insane that someone would not be interested in Lexi he loves the way she has all these amazing facts inside her head all stored and waiting to be poured out, he loves the way she adjusts when she’s really getting into a topic she loves talking about and he loves how Lexi asks him about his past and his life in the most nonchalant way possible. He loves how relaxed she’s become in the matter of minutes.

Obviously all fun has to end, Fezco gives Ash the look across the crowded room and he disappears quickly. “Im real sorry I have to cut our time short Lex I loved talking to you really.” “Would it be ok if I could get yo number?”
“Um yeah of course” Lexi said with a beaming smile across her face
“Keep in touch aight” “have a good night and happy new year Lex.”

And just like that he was gone of course Lexi had no clue what he was about to do. Fezco threw his green cable knit sweater on the couch and walked over to the bar where Nate was standing. They had a little chit chat and just like that. boom. The bottle was smashed right across Nate’s head and he dropped quicker than an iron deficient child. Just like that Fezco was beating the living shit out of this guy and of course he deserved it but damn.

After the heavy beating he quickly walked off with a second of eye contact with Lexi. She had a distressed face which made Fezcos heart shatter into a million pieces. What was Lexi going to think of him now, after that amazing conversation on the couch he had now just gone and assaulted Nate Jacobs, i mean it was all for the right reasons but she was probably never going to talk to him again. This thinking made Fezco miserable but maybe if she did ever want to speak to him he would explain why he did it and all would be forgotten but then he remembers girls like Lexi don’t deserve someone like him. Nice girls don’t want to get involved with the local drop out drug dealer, but then again Lexi isn’t like the rest.

It’s now 2 am and still no word from Lexi thats until he hears his phone buzz under his pillow, the way he got excited so quickly was practically embarrassing but he didn’t care. It was a text from Lexi and his heart was racing

Lexi: hey fezco its Lexi from the party, Cassie just got back from the hospital turns out Nate really did get it bad

Lexi: but idc how are you are you alr, are your hands ok

No fucking way Lexi Howard just saw Fezco beat the living shit out of Nate and she still wants to know if his fucking hands are alright.

Fezco: Hey Lex im honestly surprised you’re talking to me I kinda thought you wouldn’t want to speak to me again

Lexi: wtf no way i mean yeah it was quite gruesome but Nate deserved what he fucking got

Lexi: and at least you looked good doing it…

Fezco: damn Lexi fuckin fearless what did I say

Fezco: you really know how to get a grown ass man smiling at his phone huh

Lexi: hahaha

Lexi: I also forgot to tell you I picked up your sweater, would it be alr if I dropped by the shop to give it to you

Fezco: of course anytime Lex thank u

Lexi: no problem

Lexi: im getting quite tired now so I need to sleep

Lexi: thank you for making my night a thousand times better. Goodnight ;)

Fezco: goodnight lex. Sleep tight

And just like that Fezco was in love. Okay maybe love was a bit of a step but no one had ever made him feel like that. So even though his hands hurt like hell he didn’t care.

Chapter Text

That morning fezco woke up better than ever, I mean yes he was in unspeakable pain but his heart was fixed. Lexi fucking Howard likes him, she doesn’t care that he beat up Nate Jacobs and even better she thinks he looked good doing it, and now she was going to come round his store to drop off a jumper he left at the party. In Fezcos eyes Lexi was the most drop dead gorgeous girl out there no matter what Lexi wrongly thinks about herself.

Fezco gets out of bed with the biggest smile on his face it even triggers Ash.
“Why the fuck do you look like that”
Fezcos face immediately drops. “Leave me the fuck alone” “Lexi’s coming by the store later don’t give no shit aight”
“Fuck man you falling in love it some shit” ash protested
“Ay shut your fucking mouth”

While Fezcos washing his face in the sink he hears his phone vibrate onto the side of the sink. It’s Lexi.

Lexi: morning :)

Lexi: just wanted to give you a heads up I’ll be at the store at around 3. Is that alright

Fezco: of course Lex come by whenever

Fezco was over the moon, no way Lexi cared about Fezco that much, checking in on him to make sure his hands were alright and now making sure coming over to his store at a certain time was convenient for him. This girl was amazing.

What Fezco didn’t know was just an hour after that conversation Cal fucking Jacobs was at her house trying to talk Cassie and Lexi into giving up the name of who assaulted his son. Obviously Lexi wasn’t going to say anything but Cassie’s different, she’s a fucking idiot who told Cal Fezco did it. At this moment Lexi wants to cry, how is Fezco going to react after her dumbass sister with literally two working brain cells outed him. She has to sort it out asap.

So when Cal finally left she ran upstairs and took out her phone.

Lexi: is it alright if I came round in about 15 minutes

Lexi: I really need to tell you something but I can’t do it over text

Fezco: sure thing

Fezco: are you alr tho

Lexi: yea yea I’m fine just rlly need to talk :)

Lexi feels like an idiot why is she being like this stressing again all because of her sister acting like a moron.

Fezcos sat at the counter of his shop anxiously waiting for Lexi to arrive, his head turning quickly when he hears the door opening and it’s never her when finally, it is. Fezcos jumping for joy but tries to keep his cool “Lexi Howard how you doin”
“Um alright I guess”
“I really need to talk to you abou-“
And that’s when she clocks her. Faye sitting on the freezer looking all pretty, she could ball her eyes out right now. Who is she? Why is she here with Fezco? What is she doing? Are they dating? A cluster of thoughts pop into her head as she zones out.
Fezco has noticed her distressed face.“Lex?” “You alright”
“Um ha are you two like…” she asks awkwardly
“No no god no she’s just staying wit us for a while until she sorts thing out wit her boyfrien”
“Ha oh ok, can we speak somewhere private”
Just as Fezco was hopping off the counter the devil himself appeared at the door.
“Shit” Lexi whispers under her breath
“You aight” fezco says sternly
“ yeah yeah just looking for some gum” cal replies “so she tell you who I am”
“Nah I don’t know what your talkin bout “
“Mhm okay” “just a concerned father” he says while slowly pulling money out of his pocket

Just like that he walks off and gets in his car truck with a weird smile on his face like he’s done something good.

“shit I thought he had a gun” “I’m really sorry this is all my fault”
“Woah slow down. how?” “Come on let’s go up to the roof”

Lexi goes up the ladder first with Fezco behind her making sure she’s getting up alright but he can’t help but look at her ass in front of his face. Lord have mercy I gotta stay focused, he’s thinking to himself.

“Now who the fuck is that and why does he know you”
“He’s Nate’s dad, he came round my house to try and talk me and my sister into telling him who beat Nate up, obviously I didn’t say anything but my sister is stupid and she broke easily so she told him it was you which was literally so dumb and I’m so sorry. “I also think he followed me here and I’m just really really sorry this has happened I should’ve stopped my sister from running her mouth”

“Lex for real is aight, obviously Nate’s still scared if he couldn’t tell his dad himself” “Cal doesn’t scare me and neither does his bitch ass son” “I can take you home tonight it’s getting late anyway”
“Are you sure I wouldn’t want to cause more trouble for you”
“Lex im telling you it’s aight”
“Shit I forgot to give you your jumper, literally the first reason I was supposed to come here. “Sorry”
“You seriously gotta stop saying sorry.” “And you can keep it, sure it looks better on you than I did me”
“No way I can’t keep it that, shits so expensive it’s a fucking palace cable knit”
“Lex, keep it”
“Ok, thank you Fez”

‘Fez’ he liked it when she called him that it made him feel special, even though Ash calls him that and so does rue it feel different coming out of Lexis mouth it feels great.

Fezco puts Lexis bike in his trunk and tells ash to close up the store obviously ash gives them both a snarky comment but Fezco brushes it off. The drive to Lexis house was peaceful Lexi put on her playlist which fezco thoroughly enjoyed and they drove home bopping to the music.

When he parked up at at her house she got out and leaned through the window to put a kiss up on his cheek and thanked him for the ride. On any other night she would never of done this but she felt fearless she felt seen so why not, it obviously left a good effect on Fezco because he blushed harder than he had ever before he couldn’t believe Lexi was doing this to him, his grandma always said love is the one instinct you can’t trust but obviously she’d never met Lexi Howard he’d let her rob him blind run him over with a truck and he wouldn’t care.

He waited until Lexi got into her house safe and sound and then drove off.

When Lexi got into her house her mom was fast asleep with a empty bottle next to her. Lexi cleaned it up and kissed her goodnight, that’s how most nights end to be honest her cleaning up all the wine bottles and wine glasses then kissing her mom goodnight.

That wasn’t the end of it though obviously Cassie had to be up waiting for her waiting to pine at her about why she’s so late.
“Who the fuck was that dropping you off”
“You know what Cassie it’s none of your fucking business”
“What the hell is your problem”
“My problem is you Cassie, you were so stupid this morning to out fezco like that how dumb are you.”
“It’s not my fault Fezco almost killed Nate”
“Why do you care anyway Nate is a horrible person and he deserved it.” “Do you even know why Fezco did what he did”
“No. Do you?”
“Yeah I do, so your in no position to talk shit”

Just like that Lexi blew up at Cassie for the first time in years all because of Fezco and to be honest she didn’t care.

Feeling the same amount of fearlessness she made her way into the bathroom grabbed fezcos sweater and put it on, slipped on some booty shorts and took a mirror picture with her half sitting on the sink to accentuate her butt. She took the picture and quickly sent it, she threw the phone on the counter and paced around for a bit. “Shit shit shit shit”

Fezco was getting ready for bed putting on his m&m pj’s and a white top when suddenly a buzz from his phone he prayed it was Lexi about to start another midnight conversation with him, honestly he thinks he should start the conversations more often but he doesn’t want to fuck anything up.

Lexi: *one photo attached*

Fezco: damn girl what did I say it does look better on you than it did me

Lexi: you smell nice ;)

Fezco: you really know how to keep a man in a chokehold huh ;)

Lexi: that’s what I was hoping to do

Fezco: do you want me to pick you up from school tmorrow maybe we could go out someplace?

Lexi: yeah I would love that

Lexi: I finish at 3:20

Fezco: I’ll be there x

Lexi: goodnight Fez

Fezco: goodnight girl x

Chapter Text

Fezco woke up bright and early just like he always does, but today it held a purpose a good one.

He put on his best fit a white cable knit and his best pair of black cargos ,you know got to impress the lady.

He exited his room and ash clocked him. “Why the fuck you dressed up for”
“I’m goin out wit Lex today”
“Of course you are”
“You got a problem”
“I don’t know man she seems nice she’s jus a little too pretentious”
“Woah look at you using big words, shut yo mouth”
“Whatever”

Lexi is wearing a flare sleeved white crop top with a tartan pleated skirt when she gets to school she’s immediately being nagged at by Maddy and Cassie about who she was with last night, of course Cassie told Maddy and now they’re going to be down her neck all day. Most of the time she’s jealous about how much attention Cassie and Maddy get but in the big scheme of it all she likes not being noticed sometimes and she doesn’t even care anymore now she’s got Fezco.

Lexi retreats into the Bathroom and sends Fezco her infamous mirror picture to see what he thinks.

Lexi: what do you think

Fezco: it’s very much giving

Fezco: most beautiful girl

Lexi: can’t wait for our date tonight

Lexi: Cassie saw me get out of your car and now her and Maddy have been bothering me all day asking who it was

Lexi: really just wanna leave

Fezco: I can pick you up if you’d like

Fezco: Faye and ash are at the store so you could come round mine before we go out?

Lexi: are you sure I won’t be bothering you

Fezco: I told you Lex it’s fine fr

Lexi: ok thank you fez x

Fezco: be there in 5

Lexi: xx

Fezco took one more look in the mirror adjusting himself making sure he was in tip top shape, quickly moving any rubbish around the house then headed for the door.

Lexi doesn’t normally skip days but she thinks it’s alright, she doesn’t have play rehearsals and all the lessons she’s got today are boring and she’s already doing well so she figures why not.

Fezco: I’m here

Lexi practically runs for the car and hops in, Fezco can’t help but stare her down as she’s coming up towards the car. “Hey ma how you doin”
“Alright now that I’m with you”
“You sure you can be skippin school, don’t wanna be the reason you get in trouble you feel”
“I promise it’s alright”
“Ok put on that fire playlist of yours and we can go back to mine”

Just like last time the car ride was peaceful, anytime they would stop at a red light Fezco would calmly stare at Lexi with his ocean blue eyes can you blame him Lexis stunning.
“Fezco it’s a green light” Lexi laughed
“Right yeah just got lost in your eyes n all that”
“Fezco are you flirting with me”
“Is it working”
“Maybe” Lexi grins

They finally get to Fezcos house and fez quickly gets out of the car to open the door for Lexi.
“What a gentleman” Lexi says grinning

Lexi takes in the house, it hasn’t changed much from the last time she was there years ago with rue. She likes how its kind of old and vintage style it makes her feel warm and at home.

He gestures for Lexi to sit down on the couch and she does without a second thought.
“You want anything to drink Lex?”
“Just a water is fine”
“Coming right up”

Lexi looks around, the whole place is squeaky clean you think because two boys who are drug dealers would live quite a dirty life but it’s the complete opposite it’s like there is a nice old lady living in the house keeping it in shape and we all know it’s certainly not Faye.

Fezco comes back with Lexis water and a blunt in his mouth “Wanna watch a movie, I got popcorn”
“Sure what you got”
“You like stand by me?”
“No way you like stand by me”
“I’m a man full of secrets” “my nanna loved that film so we watched it all the time”
“Wow you learn something new every day huh”

Halfway through the movie Lexis phone buzzes then it buzzes again and one more time. “You wanna get that” Fezco says
“Nah it’s fine jus Cassie she can wait”
Fezco laughs
“What’s so funny”
“You said nah”
“Guess you rub off on me”
“Guess so”

They’re now sitting closer together, closer than they did on New Years Lexi is practically leaning on fezcos chest, her stomach filled with butterflies her heart beating faster than ever she slowly turns to look at Fezco.

She shifts her weight up onto fezco and kissed him deeply. Lexi smells soft if that makes sense like she smells of strawberries and vanilla like the smell of summer. Fezco deepens the kiss pushing his tongue through her lips.

He breaks away “is this alright”
“I’ve never done this before but yeah it’s good and you taste nice” Lexi quietly whispers into his mouth
“Fuck Lex”

Lexi is breathing soft moans into Fezcos mouth which is making him go crazy. Lexi is now sitting on his lap grinding against him while fezco lightly but firmly holds her ass
“Lex we don’t have to if you don’t want to you know that right”
“I know, I want to, do you?”
“Of course I do”

They carry on, fezco pulling at Lexis hair from time to time now that he knows it gets a good moan out of her. The kisses become more fast and sloppy but just as good.

Repeated buzzing is coming from Lexis phone, she doesn’t want to stop but she knows she has to now. This better be good. She picks up her phone:

*4 missed calls from Cassie
*7 messages from Cassie
*2 messages from Maddy

Lexi sighs at her phone “shit I’m so sorry it’s my sister, I’m really sorry”
“What did I say about you and your sorrys it’s fine text her”
“Thank you”

Lexi gets off of Fezcos lap and opens her messages with Cassie

Cassie: where are u?

Cassie: wtf lex where r u?

Cassie: pick up your phone

Cassie: HAVE U SKIPPED SCHOOL

Cassie: answer me now!

Cassie: Lexi I’m being serious

Cassie: I need to know where u r

Lexi: can you chill out why do you all of the sudden care about what I do or where I am

Lexi: me and Bobbi decided to skip to work on the play im at her house

Cassie: see was it that easy to tell me where you were

Lexi: ugh

She closed her phone “I’m sorry about that”
“No problem everything good”
“Yeah” “Um I’ve never done… that before and I get that you probably have like a bunch of times or something but you know that was my first and you can tell me if it was bad I won’t be offended or anything”
“Are you saying I’m a man whore?”
“What no oh my god sorry I just meant your probably more experienced than me that’s all”
“Hey hey I was joking” “it was good I promise lex” “wanna finish the movie before we leave?”
“Yeah”

Lexi moved closer to Fezco and they snuggled back together and finished the movie.

It was now 6:00 and the movie was finished, they left the house and walked to the diner they were going to eat at. Fezco said walking was better at this time of the night because they would see the beautiful sun rise. He was right.

They walked holding hands and talking away, talking about absolutely anything. Lexi told Fezco about the stars and space and Fezco just listens enjoying every word that came out of Lexis mouth like it would be her last.

When they got to the diner they sat in a small cozy booth, Fezco clocked the women behind the counter and but two fingers up. The women was quite short, dirty blonde hair probably about 50 years old.

“You know her” Lexi said
“Yeah me n ash come here all the time is it aight I told her to get my usual wanna surprise you”
“Ok sure” “Um so I wanted to ask… this is like totally cheesy and shit but like would this mean we’re like dating now”
“Of course Lex, I like you a lot ever since you sat down next to me and it felt like a mother fuckin angel was sent from above”
“Now you’re the one being cheesy” she laughs

The woman brings over two chocolate fudge sundaes Lexis favourite, wonder if he knew, and two waffles with various toppings.
“This is amazing fezco thank you”
“Whatever you want Lex”

Fezco and Lexi walk back to his house where they sit and talk and laugh and kiss for a while before fezco drives her home.

Fezco parks up at her house and Lexi gives him a kiss goodbye, He waits until she’s in the house safely and zooms off.

Lexi gets into her room again Cassie waiting on the bed.

“Its fezco isn’t it” Cassie protests
“What are you talking about”
“I know you’re seeing Fezco”
“It was his car”
“So what if it is”
“Are you serious he nearly beat Nate to death”
“And again I don’t care Nate is a dickhead who deserved it and why are you all of a sudden defending Nate’s honor”
“You know what Lexi you’re being a real bitch”
Lexi was really mad now
“What the fuck is your problem. “Yes I’m dating fezco I don’t care what you think of him, you don’t know him”
“You’re so naive lex”
“I’m naive, really”
“Yes you are your crazy if you think fezco actually wants you, I’m sorry but it’s true”
“Wow you just hate seeing me happier than you huh”
“Lexi be serious someone like fezco a hardcore drop out drug dealer, dating you a soft goody two shoes with no tits”
Lexi slapped her across the face
“What the fuck is your problem talking about fezco like that”
“Get over yourself lex”
“I don’t know what I have ever done to you, all I do is clean up your messes and help you not once have I gotten that from you in the last 4 years” “so the least you could do is keep your big nose out of my fucking business and leave me alone”

The night ended there, Cassie retreating to her side of the room and Lexi jumping in her bed tears forming in here eyes. Lexi had to text fezco she just had to.

Lexi: hey fez you up?

Fezco: of course lex

Fezco: what’s on your mind

Lexi: it’s just Cassie she’s being so annoying and she knows about us she saw you this time and she’s talking so much shit and normally I can take it but she started talking about you

Lexi: I lost it and slapped her across the face

Fezco: damn Lex maybe I am a bad influence

Fezco: but seriously you need to stop putting so much pressure on urself

Fezco: your amazing and you shouldn’t care abt what ur sis is chattin abt me or u

Lexi: thank you fezco you know how to make a girl fall head over heels

Lexi: would it be a bother if you could pick me up again tomorrow? 3:25?

Fezco: sure thing lex. Don’t sweat it

Fezco: sweet dreams lex

Lexi: goodnight fez x
