Soobin is over at Yeonjun’s house like any other Saturday, playing some games that they found with the elder. Yeonjun no doubt enjoyed Soobin’s company. He loved the younger like a brother. They were playing rhythm hive, trying their best to score better the other, furiously tapping their phones. When Yeonjun won by a small margin of a thousand points. Yeonjun jumped out and cheered, doing a small victory dance, but then saw Soobin sulking on the sofa, a small pout on his face.
Knowing that Soobin usually acted like this, Yeonjun knew exactly what to do to get that sulky face out.
He planted a kiss to Soobin’s forehead, like a normal friend, a close friend. Soobin could feel the heat rushing to his cheeks, but it was normal, totally normal for a friend who just kissed him on his forehead.
“Let’s go to bed, it’s almost midnight already,” Yeonjun said as he tugged on Soobin. Soobin got up and rubbed his eyes before following Yeonjun into his room.
Both of them collapsed on the bed, but only Soobin managed to fall asleep. Yeonjun could register Soobin’s long arms wrapping around him like a bolster, which left a fluster on Yeonjun’s face, which Soobin of course could not see.
Yeonjun hasn’t told Soobin something. Soobin was cute, funny, cuddly, everything Yeonjun would want. They started out as classmates, and slowly became friends, before becoming to whatever they were now. He was sure that he could not even name what they had. They were really close friends, both of them are comfortable sharing a bed, giving each other kisses, they were like a couple. Then slowly, Yeonjun’s feelings grew. By the time he realised, it was overwhelming. The admiration he had for the younger was skyrocketing each day, and he had to resist giving him a kiss every time he saw him.
If only if it were that easy to say that out loud. It really wasn’t.
It didn’t help that it was one in the morning and he was still awake, thinking about the giant rabbit sleeping beside him.
Well, he eventually manages to fall asleep in the arms of the boy he likes, and indeed, it was a good night’s sleep.
The morning rays of the sun peeked through the curtains, attacking Yeonjun’s eyes. Yeonjun regretted facing the window before falling asleep. He could feel pain on his shoulder, and registered that it was Soobin’s head, his head snugged in his shoulder.
He slowly untangled himself from the younger boy and went to prepare his breakfast. The only thing he had in his cupboard was ramyeon. It was better than nothing and he wasn’t really in the mood to cook anything grand. He decided to cook two bowls, one for himself and one for Soobin. While the noodles were boiling, Yeonjun went over to wake Soobin up. Yeonjun headed over to kiss Soobin on his cheeks to wake him up. He was mere centimetres away from Soobin’s face, and he contemplated, should I be doing this? Is it weird?
Suddenly, he could feel something pressing against his lips, but just as quickly as it came, it went away. Yeonjun’s brain was malfunctioning, what was happening?
“Well if you won’t do it, I will.” Yeonjun was startled by Soobin’s voice. Soobin had just kissed him.
“What—why—how?” Yeonjun knew that words had failed him.
“Hyung, I love you, if it isn’t already obvious enough.”
“But how—why?” Yeonjun kept stuttering.
“Let’s just kiss,” Soobin muttered before connecting his lips with Yeonjun’s, enjoying the sight of Yeonjun being flustered in front of him. Taking motivation, he took the initiative to slide his tongue into the elder’s mouth when he was not expecting it, letting out a sound that drove Soobin crazy. Soobin pushed Yeonjun’s body closer to his, wanting to feel his presence more and deepen the kiss.
However, there is this one pesky thing that humans need to survive, the thing that Soobin wanted to kill—oxygen. The two had to stop the kiss so that they could breathe. It was at that moment that Yeonjun remembered that the ramyeon was boiling.
“Oh shit! The ramyeon!” Yeonjun immediately ran to the kitchen to stop the fire. To his disappoint, the noodles were all burnt, that meant no breakfast. Soobin went out of the room to see Yeonjun being disappointed. Trying to cheer Yeonjun up, he pestered kisses along his neck while saying some soothing words.
“We have to eat something else I guess. What do you want to eat?“ Yeonjun asked the younger.
“You,” Soobin said without thinking much.
“Don’t say things like that!” Yeonjun screamed but Soobin was already running away.
What a relationship!
