Miles took a moment outside of Von Karma’s office to breathe. He’d dressed down, knowing Von Karma would scold him for it but also be unable to resist straightening his seams, fixing his cravat, touching him. He also knew what would happen when they were so close together. He could feel it. They’d been on standing at the edge of the precipice and Miles was tired of waiting, wondering, want.
He let himself in without knocking first, and Von Karma’s flash of surprise gave way to an irritated glare. “I didn’t call for you.”
Miles met his glower and smirked.
