Chapter Text

We see a city on fire and in ruins as gunfire and explosions were heard. Thundering footsteps echoed in the sky as a gigantic reptilian beast rose from the burning city. It was him. The king of the monsters himself; Godzilla!

Godzilla roars in the air as helicopters soared through the sky and tanks fired their missiles at him. Godzilla growls at the vehicles and fires his atomic breath. Destroying them in a flash. The nuclear saurian roars in the air again as he marches inwards to Tokyo. 

However, we turn our attention somewhere else. For what was happening was little more than a TV screen. And sitting in front of the TV was a young boy around 8-years old, wearing a black t-shirt and blue shorts. His hair was slightly spiked upward, abyssal black with reddish tint at the edges and a fair skin tone with a slight baby fat. The most noticeable thing about him were his eyes, they were red like blood.

This young boy's name was Riddick S. Rexton.

Riddick was lying on his belly while watching a marathon of his all time favorite kaiju movie, Godzilla while holding a toy version of the king of the monsters. His father Andrew Rexton was seen on his lounge chair reading a newspaper, while his son was watching Godzilla. 

“Bedtime right after Godzilla, ok Riddick?” Andrew said over to his son. 

The young boy looks over his shoulder and nods before turning back to see Godzilla fight his arch enemy, King Ghidorah. We then focus on Riddick who was engrossed on the movie. His face seemingly changes from a little 8-year old boy to a young man of 18 years of age. 

Riddick was seen watching the latest Godzilla movie; Godzilla vs Kong as it showed the battle between them and the mechanized monster, Mechagodzilla.

It is now 2022 as 10 years went by since we last saw Riddick as a little boy. His body was a lean-build with some muscle that wasn’t too big or too small, a perfect mix of speed and power. His hair had grown out more and became more like a flame with the reddish tints slightly visible at the edges of his hair, and his right side was covered by the bangs of his hair while his face was sharp, lean and lost all baby fat. 

Riddick had been watching all the Godzilla movies he owns in another marathon with the latest movie as the final. It’s been like this ever since he was a kid. He would always put on a kaiju movie marathon with Godzilla as the starting point. Followed by Gamera and Ultraman. 

The movie had just finished its climax with both Godzilla and Kong making peace, and Kong declared king of the hollowed earth. 

Sighing softly to himself he looks at the clock which reads 10:30 AM.

“Better get ready for bed.” He turns off the TV after placing the DVD back in its case along with the collection of Godzilla movies. He walks past a few pictures of him as a young boy with his father, and some with both his parents and his mother pregnant with him. His mother died during childbirth so he doesn’t know much about her, and his father sadly died of heart failure 4 years ago. 

He has no family. No siblings or relatives, just himself and only himself. Living in the house he and his father own within a forest with a large lake behind the house.

After taking a quick shower and brushing his teeth. Riddick walks into his room wearing only sleep pants and no shirt on. As he laid there on his bed he looks out the window with the light of the moon high in the sky. After losing his father Riddick’s been living on his own, handling everything by himself just to make it out on his own. There were a few hiccups here and there but they were nothing he couldn’t handle.

“...sweet dreams old man.” He said to the moon before closing his eyes and drifting to sleep.

(Unknown location)

Somewhere within a secret laboratory several scientists were seen working on an experiment of sorts. Each of them working in their field of duty as a man in a burgundy colored suit walked by them. He was a man roughly in his mid 20s with a slim build and an olive skin tone with blueish black hair that’s been combed back and his eyes were a piercing hazelnut color with a yellowish tint, almost like the eyes of a falcon. 

Walking beside him was his trusted bodyguard as they walked past the scientists who gave him their greetings. 

One scientist was looking at a large tank before noticing the man approaching him. “O-Oh, Mr. Maroni, it’s good to see you, sir.” 

“Spare me the pleasantries. Are we on schedule?” The man, Alen Maroni, questions his employee. “You know I hate it when we’re not getting any results after spending time and money on this project, Mortum.” 

“Oh. Y-yes sir. Everything is in place. We’re ready to begin whenever you are, sir.” James Mortum, chief scientist and employee of Alen Maroni stated. 

Maroni turns his gaze at the tank before him which held a human subject. Beside the tank were four containers of red, blue, green and purple fluids connecting to the main tank.

“Begin the procedure. Now.” 

As soon as he said those words, everyone began to work on the test subject before them. What Maroni was working on was to create a perfect warrior, a super soldier, to sell to the highest bidder and anyone who would pay him a lot of money to hire his elite soldiers. Of course, some of those soldiers would be under his command.

The four containers began to pour their fluids within the tank as electricity sparked across the tank. The body started twitching as his veins bulged from the fluids injected into him. 

“Heart rate is steady. Pulses are stable. Vital signs normal.”

Maroni gives a small smirk as everything was going as planned. “Excellent. Increase to maximum.” 

Mortum looks at his boss with a concerned look. “But sir, if we did that, who knows what could happen. We still have yet to fully understand the nature of the serum-”

“Increase. It. Now.”

Against his better judgment Mortum did as he was told and increased the dosage. 

Soon the man in the tank began twitching more, almost violently as his muscles grew. Just as things were going well, an alarm blares.

“What’s wrong? What’s with the alarm?” 

“All systems appear to be malfunctioning! The power output’s overloading!”

“Try and get everything under control, we must stabilize the systems now!”

Maroni could only glare as the machines suddenly started going awry and an explosion or two were heard. The subject started to thrash violently in his restraints as his body grew more and more. Becoming grotesque as the tank started leaking fluids from cracks.

“The subject’s vitals are erratic, he's destabilizing! Heart rate is spiking, and pulses are rising!”

“NO, WE’VE COME TO FAR WITH THIS!”

And before they knew it the poor man exploded in a mess of gore and everything around the tank exploded. Maroni brought his hands to shield himself while his bodyguard shielded him and escorted him out while the rest of the personnel escaped. 

Maroni grits his teeth in anger as the tanks fall down below. Some crashed down on the floor while others went down into the pipes leading outside the facility. 

The canisters continued traveling down the pipeline until they plunged into the water. Carried away from the facility and into the ocean through the sewage pipes. 

Maroni was seen walking up to Mortum who was coughing from the smoke in his face. He yelps when he saw his boss’ eyes glaring daggers at him. 

“You better find a way to clean this mess up, and find out what caused the problem with the experiment.” He snarls lowly under his breath. Not liking what happened. “And I expect better results next time. Or else you’ll lose your head.”

Mortum slowly nods in fear as Maroni leaves him to tend to the mess while he had more other important matters.

Somewhere in the ocean floor the two canisters were drifting from the current and then collided with a small rocky mound which made them stuck for the time being. However, cracks started to form as a metallic groan was heard. A sign of things to come. Terrible things to come.

(Next day)

We see a forest overhead as several birds soar through the sky on a bright and sunny day. We then see a sign near a road which reads ‘Narim: City of Dreams’. 

Narim was indeed a city of dreams. For it was very much like a mix of New York, Tokyo, San Francisco and Hong Kong. Located within the United States that was near the ocean, much like Seattle.

The city itself was bustling with life as people went about their daily lives. People chatting away with friends, shopping at the mall or having fun at the beach. 

We turn our attention to a rather special school filled with children and teens of all ages. This was the Crystal Star Valley school, a special school that was made for elementary, middle and highschoolers that was separated by their ages and grades. Inside one class room which was science, several students were gathered at their desks as they waited for their teacher to arrive.

Riddick was sitting by a window reading his notes on the upcoming lesson as well as going over his memory from his homework. 

That was until he felt something soft pressed against his head and a pair of hands over his eyes. 

“Who is it~?” A sultry voice spoke in his left ear.

The young man groans through his nose and snaps his notebook shut. “I know it’s you, Leona. Knock it off.” 

“Oh boo!” The hands left his eyes and looks over his left shoulder to see a rather young and beautiful dark skinned smiling face. “You’re no fun anymore you know that?” 

The girl, Leona Mendoza was a year older than Riddick with a very full, well-endowed and curvaceous body that could turn a few heads. Her hair was a golden sunny blonde with a few purple streaks, and waist-length and kept in a ponytail with chin-length bangs framing the sides of her face. Her eyes were a bright hazelnut color with a hint of gold color. Her bust size was a triple M-Cup which was contained in her orange shirt that hugged her figure along with a pair of jeans with a few tears in them and tennis shoes. 

“I hope you managed to at least study for today’s lesson.” Riddick said, his expression unchanged despite the minor annoyance from the blonde’s antics.

Leona chuckles and leans against him. “What do you take me for? Of course I did babe.” 

“She’s not the only one.” Another voice spoke.

They turned to see another girl standing before them. She was of Japanese descent and a light skin tone, roughly the same age as Riddick and appears to be curvaceous despite her young age, with golden eyes and has blackish blue hair that’s tied up to a ponytail. She wore a bright red shirt with the top slightly pushed open and a picture of a fox with a white background on the left breast. She wore a pair of loose pants with a short skirt and a pair of black heeled shoes. Her bust size was a triple K-Cup that pushed against her shirt. 

“Hello Riddick. A pleasure to see you again as always.” The girl said with a warm smile and a blush on her face.

“Misato.” Riddick greets back while Leona lightly huffs. 

Misato Fujitora, another friend of Riddick as well as a student from Japan who moved to Narim years ago and attended Crystal Star Valley. Misato notices Leona pressing against Riddick and frowns at her actions. “Really Leona? Must you always latch onto Riddick like that? Can’t you see class is about to start.”

Leona only smirks and presses herself further onto Riddick. Making sure to push her breasts against him. “C’mon Misato. It’s just a little cuddle-time with my boyfriend here. Don’t tell me you don’t want a piece of this action, too?” She said with a sultry wink and nuzzled against Riddick’s face. “Isn’t that right Riddick sweetie~?”

Riddick only groans through his nose.

Misato’s eyes narrow as she grits her teeth. “What do you mean your ‘boyfriend’? In case you forgot what we agreed upon a long time ago, we share him, remember?” She walks up to the blonde and pulls her away, and instantly takes her spot beside Riddick. “After all we did make a vow to be together with him. Right, Riddick-chan~?” Misato coos in a rather cutesy voice adding an honorific just for him.

This made Leona angry and took Riddick’s left arm while glaring at Misato. “Just because we agreed to share doesn’t mean you can hog him to yourself!” She snaps.

“Says the one who clings onto him like a parasite, Bakayarou!” Misato snarls back. 

Riddick was completely stoic as the two girls bickered at one another, while some of the other students only watched. 

“Ah jeez here they go again. And just before class starts too.” Said a boy with his head in his hand. The boy’s name was James Newman who was another friend of Riddick’s. James had a lean figure with bright blue eyes, a head of dark brown hair with a small tail tied with a string, he wore a simple green shirt with a picture of a flying pterodactyl and jeans with tennis shoes and was around 17 years old.

Sitting beside him was his girlfriend Emily Brooke. Emily was around James’ age with light brown hair that stops at mid back, a petite figure with a sizable C-Cup, light green eyes and a pink t-shirt with shorts stopping at the knees. “What do you expect? Life without those two bickering is never dull here.” She said while giving James a quick peck on the cheek. “Still, I’d rather have you all to myself, Jamie.” 

“Hehehe.” James chuckles bashfully while rubbing the back of his head. 

Sitting behind James was another member of their group. Her name was Rachel Garner, a young girl of 16 years with baby blue eyes and wore glasses, a slender-yet-curvaceous body with long, black hair with pink highlights and a E-Cup bust size. She wore a sleeveless pink shirt with 3 white butterflies, skin tight jeans and simple shoes. Rachel was staring at the bickering girls but her main focus was on Riddick himself.

Rachel felt her face heat up when she gazed at the red eyed boy before her. For the longest time Rachel has had a secret crush on Riddick ever since he saved her from bullies when they were kids. Whenever she was around Riddick, Rachel would always stutter and fumble with her words, as she was really shy around him. She wanted to be his girlfriend, but the problem is that she wasn’t confident in herself, for she believed she couldn’t compete with both Leona and Misato, despite them agreeing to share Riddick. Still, she hoped that one day she’ll muster up the courage and finally tell him her feelings.

' ...Riddick… ’ She inwardly sighs to herself. 

That was when they heard the door opening and all turned their attention to their teacher coming in. He was a man around mid to late 30 with slightly graying hair with a white hue, wore a blue shirt with a green necktie underneath a white lab coat, brown pants and shoes and had clouded blue eyes behind glasses.

“Good morning class.” 

“Good morning professor Clarke.” 

Simon Clarke, the science teacher of Crystal Star Valley stood before his students and placed his books on his desk. “Now, I hope everyone’s done their homework assignment and is ready to begin. Please take your seats and we will begin today’s lesson.”

Everyone went to their respective seats with Riddick at his usual spot by the window, Leona sitting behind him and Misato in front of him. 

“Now take out your notebooks and pay close attention to the questions you must answer.” 

(Later)

It was now lunch time as everyone was gathered around inside or outside the cafeteria eating their lunch together. Riddick was seen eating his meal with Leona sitting on his left and Misato on his right. 

And sitting across them was James, Emily and Rachel. As well as a few other members of their group. Their names were Alex Craig and Harvey Miller. 

Alex was around Leona’s age with a strong build as he was a football player for the school’s football team. He has a dull blonde wavy short hair, dark green eyes and was wearing a white, light blue jacket that belonged to the football team, the Star Kings. 

Harvey was also a member of the Star Kings football team. He was around Alex’s age and was of the same build as Alex. He had light mocha brown mullet hair with blueish-green eyes and wore the same outfit as Alex. Both Alex and Harvey have been like brothers since childhood and became members of Riddick’s little band and have been together ever since.

“Finally, I’ve been waiting to grab a bite to eat. All that math work was murder.” Alex bemoans while taking a bite out of a burger. 

“Tell me about it. All that algebra work’s been running me ragged. Feels like I’m working with alphabet soup.” Harvey mentions while eating his tacos.

“C’mon you guys. You really need to take your lessons seriously. Otherwise, you’ll only end up failing this semester if you don’t put in more effort.” Rachel stated as she ate her fruit salad. 

“Don’t remind us.” They said in unison.

Riddick only huffs through his nose while sipping his drink. While Alex and Harvey weren’t that bright, they were far from incompetent. Those two were probably the best friends anyone could ask for, especially when you’re in a jam and they can help bail you out. 

“So babe got any plans for this weekend?” Leona asked while leaning on his arm. 

“If you like, we can go out together, Riddick-chan.” Misato offers while leaning on his right arm. 

“Perhaps. I don’t have anything planned. So I might take your offer.” Riddick said. “I did however plan to take a swim at the beach once school’s out.” 

“As fun as that sounds, I can’t. My folks are heading out and I promised I would look after the house while they’re gone.” James said with a small frown. 

“Same here. I promised my mom I’d look after my kid sister after school. She’s got an appointment later on.” Emily said with her head in her hand.

The others also voiced their reasons for not going to the beach, and Riddick was ok with that. However, their little peace will not last forever. 

(Later)

Under the waves of the ocean the two canisters were seen once again. Except the noticeable thing about them is that the cracks are growing and the fluids are starting to flow from the cracks. 

Up on the surface were many people enjoying the day at the beach. Kids playing in the water, building sand castles. Women getting a suntan and surfers riding the waves. At a cliff of the ocean was Riddick wearing a red and black swim shorts, leaving his upper body exposed. He had some slight muscle to him with a six pack abs and a few scars on his body from various fights over the years. 

His red eyes gazed at the glistening waters as the sounds of waves crashed on the rocks and seagulls soaring through the air. He took a deep breath and jumped off the cliff, power diving into the ocean below. Just as he dove into the water with ease, the two canisters finally ruptured and the fluids inside flowed into the water. The fluids made contact with each other as electricity sparked around it and caused the mixture to turn into a metallic light purple color. 

Riddick swam through the water with the grace of a shark. Passing by several fish as they swam by him. He was floating above a coral reef gazing at a moray eel that stared back at him. He swam alongside two dolphins who were swimming in circles around him before swimming away. He gave them a faint smile over his shoulder before he noticed something off.

He saw a small plume of glowing purple fluid passing by. He looks ahead and noticed too late as he swam right through a large cloud of the purple fluids. Covering his whole body. He grits his teeth as the fluids left a burning sensation on his skin. Could this be toxic sludge? 

‘I gotta get out of here fast! ’ He quickly swims for the surface to reach the shoreline while leaving a trail of the glowing fluids behind. He broke the surface with a loud gasp and ran towards the sand. He then fell on his hands and knees as the purple ooze was dripping from his skin and continued to burn him. Fortunately, the burning feeling quickly faded as the ooze was absorbed into his skin. He looked at his hands and found nothing wrong, but still, what was that stuff?

He looked over his shoulder and saw the glowing ooze on the surface of the ocean. And it looked like it was getting bigger. His eyes narrowed at the ooze and decided to head home, believing someone would take care of it.

As he left, lying on the shore was a dead fish and suddenly a turkey vulture was seen flying over the dead animal. The vulture trills before placing its foot on it and starts to eat the carrion. As it ate there was a small wave with the purple ooze mixed in it, and washed over the vulture. Shrieking in surprise, the turkey vulture shakes its feathers to rid itself of water and takes off into the air.

The sun was setting over the horizon as we see a rather impressive house located in the forest. This was Riddick’s home; Domus Regis which means (Home of the King) in Latin. 

The house was 5 stories tall and a mix of brick and wood, it had plenty of space on the inside with 10 bedrooms and 4 guest rooms. A very spacious living room with a full kitchen connected to it, a statue of a dragon just outside the house beside the veranda which had a few chairs and a table. And behind the house was a very large lake which was as big as 10 or so football fields. How such a lake was formed no one knows, but it was a part of Riddick’s property so he couldn’t complain.

After his father’s death and everything left to him, Riddick had to do some serious overhauling on the house. Remolding it and expanding it as much as possible. 

Inside the house were four animals: a female gray wolf, a male Komodo dragon, a male king cobra and a female golden eagle. Their names were San the wolf, Baja the Komodo dragon, Sly the king cobra and Frida the golden eagle.

Why does Riddick have these animals you may ask? They were all rescued from a laboratory that did cruel things to them when they were very little, so Riddick took them all under his care and they’ve been living with him since.

San lets out a yawn and then scratches behind her ear. While Baja and Sly were relaxing on their heated rocks, while Frida was grooming her feathers in her makeshift nest. That was when they heard the door opening and saw Riddick coming in.

“I’m home.” He called out while dropping his bag. 

San barked happily as she ran up and started licking his face. Baja and Sly crawled/slithered towards him with Baja nuzzling his face against Riddick’s leg and Sly climbing up to his left shoulder. And Frida flew onto his right shoulder. 

“I know, I know. I missed you all too.” Riddick said while petting each of them. His mind was still lingering on what happened to him at the beach. Just what was that stuff anyhow? Where did it come from? ‘ Best not to think about it right now. Hopefully someone will clean it up. ’ Deciding to forget about it, Riddick went to feed his animals and himself after today.

After taking a quick shower to wash away the ocean water, and whatever the hell that purple gunk was, Riddick went straight to his bedroom and collapsed on the bed. He looked outside his window to see the starry night sky again with the moonlight bathing the land. After bidding the moon a silent ‘goodnight’ he closes his eyes and slowly drifts to sleep.

(Narim port yard)

It was nighttime as the many workers at the port were seen unloading steel cargo ships and carrying them off to the rest of the cargo were held for their employers to check out on the items inside. 

As they were going on with their duties there was sudden…rumbling in the air. A very deep and loud rumbling. 

“The hell was that?” 

“You think it could be thunder?”

“Can’t be. We’re supposed to have clear skies through the night.” 

That was when they heard the sound of the ocean churning. They all turned their attention at the water as the surface bubbled violently like boiling water. The sound of rumbling grew louder and louder until the water erupted before them, causing the workers to jump back in shock as they saw something…unbelievable towering over them. All they heard was a loud growling and a pair of deep bloody red eyes glaring at them. 

At the northern part of Narim which was 1 kilometer from the port, everyone was enjoying their night in the town, coming home from work or heading for their night shift. Everything seemed peaceful, until…

BOOM!

A loud explosion was heard which caught everyone by surprise. They could see a large plume of smoke as well as fire from a distance. Then they felt the ground shake. Cause the people to almost lose their balance and some parked cars to blare their alarms. That was then they saw something. Something…taller than the buildings around them. It was something no one ever thought was possible or even real. But it is. What they saw was… A kaiju!

It was a large reptilian creature that stood over 80 meters tall and stretched out to 369 meters from nose to tail, with a deep shade of black scales and dull gray scales at the underside. It had 3-toed claws which were connected to powerful legs that looked like that of a T-Rex. Its tail large and long swayed lazily behind it, on its back were three rows of dorsal plates. The middle row had pointed, jagged dorsal fins, while the other two rows were maple-leaf shaped, straighter and very sharp with a bright red color at the top of the fins stretching all the way to the tail. The torso was a more human-like shape with wide broad shoulders and the arms were more like that of a lizard man, with 5-fingered claws. Behind the shoulders are two large spinal fins with the tips curved upwards compared to the rest of the dorsal fins, which had a purplish hue to them. The neck was slightly broad but strong looking with the head having a long but stout snout, a mouth full of razor sharp teeth and large red and black eyes with slitted pupils. On the chest were red flame-like markings, as well as on the biceps, the forearms and on the thighs. 

The people were all petrified when they saw the gigantic beast looming over them. 

The creature glared at the tiny beings before them. It leaned back, sucking in a huge amount of air and-

"SSSSSSSSKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNKKKKKKKKK!"

The earsplitting roar reverberated throughout the entire region, shattering windows and causing everyone to cover their ears or to jump back from broken glass falling from the buildings. 

At that moment, everyone all screamed in terror. 

The creature growls as it marches forth into Narim, shattering builds that stood in its way, and trampling on anyone in its path. 

(Insert-Godzilla’s Theme; Godzilla Singular Point)

The panicking people all ran for their lives as the kaiju rampaged through the city. Many tried to escape but not everyone made it out. The police were already calling in for backup as several military soldiers came rushing in with their vehicles. From tanks, helicopters, everything. 

The soldiers all gawked at the sight of the towering behemoth. In all their lives serving the military, they never would’ve imagined of actually fighting an honest to God monster!

“W-What the hell is that!?”

“Is that…Godzilla?”

“I didn’t sign up for this shit!” 

Several soldiers were terrified by the monster before them, when their commanding officer shouted at them. “Everyone, stand your ground! I want all tank battalions to be at the ready. Chopper units, surround the creature and prepare to fire on my command!” 

The tanks rolled into positions as the helicopters all hovered around the creature. The kaiju gazes upon the vehicles with a low snarl, as if daring them to attack it. 

“FIRE!!!”

The tanks all fired their shells and the helicopters fired their rockets. The attacks struck the kaiju as they exploded on contact. The kaiju roared as the missiles and bullets struck its body, but did little more than hurt it. It felt as though they were nothing but pellets than real weapons. 

The kaiju swings its left arm striking at the helicopters. Some got away, but a few didn’t as they went up in flames. It swung its tail at the tanks crushing them beneath it, with the full force of a small meteor. The kaiju continued its march as it was pelted by the hail of rockets and missiles. The tanks drove backwards while the sky was filled with the roaring sound of fighter jets.

A squadron of F-22 raptors flew across the night sky as the pilots spotted the kaiju. They all fired their missiles at the kaiju’s face, catching it by surprise. 

The kaiju let out a shrieking roar as it held its face and leans against a building. Shaking its head it roars angrily at the jets as they flew by.

“Don’t let up. Keep firing! It’s gotta have a weak point somewhere!” The commander orders. 

The kaiju roars at the soldiers below. Stomping its way towards them with an animalistic fury. It roars again as something peculiar was happening. Its dorsal spines as well as the red markings suddenly began to glow a very deep shade of red, lighting up the night sky. A loud rumbling sound came from the spines as the kaiju opens its mouth glowed a red color with a blackish-red mist emitting from the mouth. 

Everyone watched in awe and terror from the glowing light from the spines. Then, the kaiju suddenly fires a powerful red-black beam of destructive proportions. The beam destroyed the soldiers on the streets as the kaiju moved its head, dragging the beam across the buildings. Leveling everything in its path. The kaiju moved its head upward and managed to destroy a few helicopters and jets that were unlucky enough to be caught in its path. 

Then the kaiju ceased its attack as it closed its mouth and the glowing spines faded. 

Much of the northern part of Narim was reduced to a sea of flames. Smoke filled the night sky as the kaiju stomps around with thundering footsteps. Leaving several people either alive or dead.

“SSSSSKKKKKKKKRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNKKKKKKKKK!”

(End background them).

(Later) 

Riddick’s eyes suddenly snapped wide open and shot up with a loud gasp. His face was covered in sweat as his eyes were wider than humanly possible. “...what…what the hell was that..just now?” He utters while placing a shaking hand on his face. 

He noticed his window was open which led to the lake behind the house. “Why is…my window open?” He went to close it but suddenly flinched from the bright light of the sun. “Ah!” He clenched his eyes shut and suddenly his ears could hear…everything in the forest. A lot more clearly than before.

He could hear the sound of birds deep within the forest. The sound of insects buzzing their wings. As well as the animals roaming the woods. 

He slowly opens his eyes as they finally adjusted to the sudden brightness of the sun. It’s as if they were..even more sensitive to light. That was when he suddenly could see everything in the woods. From his bedroom he could see a family of birds in a nest, to rabbits nibbling on grass, and squirrels climbing the trees. Like he suddenly had binocular vision.

“W-What the hell?” His nose then picked up the sweet scent of the forest. The smell of the pine and oak trees as well as the many plants from his yard all the way to the forest.  “What..what’s happening to me?” He asked himself while looking at his hand. 

He closed his window and went to take a shower to soothe his nerves from whatever was happening to him. And, to shake off the memories of that dream he just had. After freshening himself up he noticed San and the others were still asleep in their section of the house, so he left them food for when he goes out to school. As he made himself food he turns on the TV which was on the news. 

On the screen showed a woman around 24 years old, wearing a cream-colored outfit with short brown hair, blue eyes and holding a microphone and standing before what appeared to be wreckage. Very familiar wreckage. 

[We are coming to you live from the ruins of northern Narim, where what was once a peaceful night, had suddenly turned into a night of horrors. This is Tina Simmons coming to you on the scene. ]

The news footage showed several buildings which are a total mess. Smoke and bits of fire were seen as firefighters were putting them out, several rescue personnel were searching for anyone who was still alive along with military personnel lending their assistance.

As this was going on, Riddick’s eyes were glued onto the screen, unable to look away as his heart was slowly starting to pound. 

[Several hours ago around 11:00 PM something had attacked this peaceful part of Narim, but it wasn’t from terrorists. No. What attacked Narim was…I’m not sure how to put it into words, but from what we gathered from any survivors, it was…a kaiju. An actual kaiju that is normally from the Godzilla franchise from Japan. ]

The news footage shifted to last night and Riddick’s blood suddenly turned ice cold when he saw something unbelievable. It was a kaiju. An honest to God, full-fledged kaiju was rampaging in the city! At first glance it could be mistaken for Godzilla himself, except this was for real and not a simple movie. 

[This creature just showed up from the port yard of Narim’s loading docks, destroying much of the harbor and made its way to the city. Several military units engaged the creature but their weapons were ineffective. As if that weren’t bad enough, the creature fired some kind of breath attack much like Godzilla’s atomic breath. Destroying nearly half of northern Narim. ]

And she wasn’t kidding. The kaiju fired a red-black atomic breath, wiping out the military in a flash of light, along with anything that stood in its path. 

Riddick’s eyes soon turned dilated at the sight of the destruction on the screen. His thundering heart echoes through his ears and suddenly memories from last night came rushing back to him like a tsunami.

Darkness. All he saw was darkness and yet for some reason he heard..screaming? Why was there screaming and explosions? 

He slowly opens his eyes while his vision was blurry, before it finally clears up. And when he did he suddenly noticed he was surrounded by fire, smoke and taller than normal?

‘W-what the hell? What’s going on? ’ He noticed tanks rolling towards him and helicopters flying in the air. ‘The army? Why are they… ’ His thoughts were halted when he noticed his hands which were covered in black scales and claws. ‘H-Huh? What…what the hell is this? ’ He noticed a tall building with reflective windows and felt his heart stop when he saw his face. A reptilian face! His pupils were wider than plates as he leans forward to the building, looking over his monstrous appearance. He blinked. The monster blinked back, He opened his mouth. The monster did the same thing. 

‘Is..is that me? ’ Riddick’s mind was in a frenzy as his clawed hand gripped his head and threw his head back. Letting out a shrieking roar in confusion and horror of what he’s become. 

Riddick gasped loudly as he fell on his hands and knees. Recalling everything that’s happened last night. 

[What happened next took everyone by surprise. The creature suddenly looked at itself at one of the remaining buildings, and seemed to have a panic attack. And afterwards the creature ran off trampling everything in its way, before reaching the ocean and diving into the water. ]

He remembered. He remembered running through the city in blind panic, unable to comprehend what was going on and then diving into the water. His body moved on its own as he swam deeper and deeper than anything should, until he swam into a massive tunnel and continued swimming. All the while his body was returning to normal. He swam and he swam until finally he broke through the surface of the water. And to his surprise, it was the lake behind his house. The very lake that rested on his property was connected to the ocean through an underground tunnel and brought him back to his home. 

Raising his shaking palms as flashes of his reptilian claws briefly appeared, Riddick’s breathing was erratic from the realization of what he had done. “....I…I killed those people…oh, God…” He grips his head in his hands as tears ran down his eyes. “OH GOOOOODDDDDD!!!!!” He wails loudly throughout his house, startling those who lived with him. 

Riddick had his head on the floor as tears fell from his eyes as the guilt of murdering those people were still fresh in his mind. He did that. He killed all those people in his rampage and blind panic. And now, all those who’re still living will no longer see their friends or loved ones…and it was all his fault. 

‘Father…mother…I have shamed you…I have brought shame upon this house and the Rexton name…O’ noble ancestors, I have shamed you all for this disgrace! ’ He inwardly wept to his parents as well as his ancestors of old, silently pleading to them to forgive his transgressions of killing the innocent people.

 He felt something nudging his side and saw it was San who sensed his distress. Same with the others who surrounded him.

San let out a small whimper as her master was distraught and wanted to comfort him as much as possible. 

Riddick wordlessly wrapped his arm around San as Sly and Frida landed on his back and Baja nuzzled his other hand. 

He turns his attention back to the TV as he saw a man in a military uniform standing before the crowd. The man was roughly in his early to mid 30s with a gray/white hair military style haircut, a few wrinkles on his face and faded gray-blue eyes. Riddick knew that man. He was general Jordan Garner, Rachel’s father who served in the military. 

[Joining us today is general Jordan Garner who has these words to say. ]

[People of Narim. I understand that you are all terrified by what has transpired last night. Never in humanities history would we ever imagine of facing a real giant monster. We don’t know where this Godzilla-wanna-be came from, but let me assure you, we will do everything in our power to bring this creature down before any more lives are lost! ]

The people all murmured as cameras flashed while the general continued his speech. 

[As for the name of this creature, as cliche as this might sound to some, we have given this creature the name; Rexzilla. ]

Suddenly, any distraught or lingering guilt Riddick felt immediately vanished when he heard Rachels’ father giving his monster self a rather generic name.

“....Rexzilla..seriously?” He utters under his breath with a twitching brow. “I don’t know whether to be insulted or not from the choice of name.” He heaves out a sigh before looking at his clock. He realizes that his class starts in the next hour, so, like it or not he better head out for school. “Things can’t possibly get any worse.” 

(Later) 

On the streets of Narim there was traffic from redirected routes from the northern section and half of the eastern part of the city which was trampled on when Rexzilla ran by in his panic. Construction vehicles and road workers were seen clearing and repairing much of the damage and debris.

Riddick was seen walking by himself while gazing upon the fruits of his destruction. He saw people looking at the windows watching the news as it showed Alan Maroni, the CEO of Argento Industries. A big-time pharmaceutical company that makes everything. From electronics to medicine and more. 

[I pledge to use whatever resources I have to help the people of Narim coup with the losses they have suffered, and to help the military to bring this.. creature down for the crimes it commited on our fair city. ] Maroni spoke before the people with the mayor beside him. [ And remember, we of Argento Industries are there for you. ]

Riddick watches as the logo of said company appears with two hands clasped together and the words ‘We care’ was seen last. Riddick only had a look of disinterest and continued making his way to school. 

Along the way his hearing could pick up many, many sounds and voices. A lot clearer than before. He could actually hear people talking from several blocks away as though he were next to them. He picked up the conversation of people mentioning what they saw last night. His…kaiju-self. Rexzilla. And none of it was good. A look of shame appeared as he hung his head, feeling disgusted with himself for what he had done. ‘ ...forgive me. ’

(Crystal Star Valley)

Riddick was walking among the many students with some talking about what happened last night, while others were silent as they all tried to make sense of what happened. Riddick kept his head down as he passed the main gate. 

“Riddick!” 

He heard someone call out and saw Leona and the others running up to him. “Did you see the news? That was a kaiju was it? Like from the Godzilla movies we watched together?” She questions with a worried face. 

“I’m sure he saw it, Leona, like we all did. It was kinda hard not to.” James said with Emily beside him. “Still, all that death and destruction. I never would’ve imagined a kaiju actually being real.” 

Riddick only hangs his head lower, not even sure if he should face his friends for what he did. He felt a hand on his and saw it was Rachel who looked concerned for him.

“Everything ok? You look troubled.” She said, while trying to keep her stuttering under control.

He blinks but shook his head. “It’s nothing. Let’s just get to class.” He said while walking ahead of them. 

They all looked at each other and proceeded to follow him. 

It was now recess for those in the high-school section of Crystal Star Valley as the students were lingering amongst themselves, playing sports or doing anything to pass the time. Riddick was seen sitting at his usual spot on the field. By the cherry blossom tree. It was his favorite spot in the school yard, his little paradise for whenever he needs some peace to himself or for his crew. 

Riddick was leaning back against the tree while his friends chatted with each other. His mind is still lingering on the events from last night and his sudden transformation into a kaiju. How did he even turn into a kaiju anyhow? For that matter, how was it even possible for him to become one? ‘What if…that purple ooze. Could that be what made me transform? ’

His train of thoughts was broken when he felt someone tapping his shoulder. “Huh?” He looked and saw Misato beside him with the others staring at him. 

“Are you feeling ok Riddick-chan?” Misato asked her boyfriend.

“You’ve been a lot quieter than normal boss.” Harvey said with Alex nodding. 

Riddick only sighs softly. “It’s nothing. I just…”

“WATCH OUT!” 

A sudden cry was heard as a baseball was seen flying straight for them. Before he even knew it Riddick’s body just moved on its own and jumped from his spot. And by jump, he actually JUMPED with such speed and strength he was actually flying at the baseball and caught it in his hand. 

All who saw this stared wide eyed and jaws hanging when they saw Riddick jumping over 14 feet in the air to catch a stray baseball. 

Even Riddick himself was surprised by this. ‘What the hell?! ’ He felt gravity pulling him back down to earth and actually managed to land gracefully on his feet.

Riddick could feel the number of eyes staring at him but he was too focused on himself. He looked at the ball in his hand while looking at his other hand. 

He heard his friends coming over with Alex being the first to speak. “Dude, since when could you jump that high? You leapt almost 20 feet in the air!”

“...I…I’m not sure myself.” Is all Riddick said before tossing the ball to a random student. ‘Just what in the hell is happening to me? I think I better pay Prof Clarke a visit when I can. Hopefully he’ll figure something out. ’

Inside his classroom Simon Clarke was gathering his things as the school day was over only to hear a knock on his door. “Come in.” 

The door opens and reveals it to be Riddick poking his head through. 

“Professor Clarke.”

“Ah, Riddick my boy. To what do I owe the pleasure of seeing you? Even though school’s already over with.” The aged professor greeted his student. 

“I…I need your help with something. It’s urgent.” 

“Oh?”

With that Riddick explained everything carefully to the professor. Telling him what he saw on the beach and to the man’s shock, his transformation into Rexzilla that attacked the northern region of Narim. Suffice to say Simon was very shocked to hear what his student had explained. 

“So, you’re telling me that this…ooze that you saw on your swim somehow turned you into a kaiju?” He asked slowly, taking in every detail. 

Riddick slowly nods.

Simon heaves a shuddering breath with his palm on his head. “I..I can’t even imagine what you must be going through right now.” He noticed the look of guilt still etched on his face. He placed a hand on his student’s shoulder which got his attention. “Listen, it’s not your fault. You weren’t in control of yourself. If you really want to make this right then you must find a way to right the wrongs you did. I know it may not be much but I’m sure that in time things will get better. You just need the right moment for it to happen.” 

Riddick stares at his teacher before slowly nodding. 

“Now if what you said is true I may need a blood sample from you. And if this ooze-like substance is still at the beach, I’ll be able to snag a sample and try to figure it out at home.” Simon said while bringing out a syringe. 

“Right.”

After letting the professor take a blood sample from him, Riddick bids the teacher goodbye and leaves the school. ‘ There is one thing I can do. ’ He reaches inside his backpack and pulls out a medium sized box.

(Later) 

On the streets of Narim at the border of the northern part of the city several people were gathered as a mass funeral was held. Numerous flowers, pictures and other items were seen as the people stood by the tables that held the pictures of their friends and or loved ones as they were grieving for them. 

Amid the people was Riddick himself as he watched the priest of the church praying for the departed souls, he brought out a black and gold slender flute. This flute was something he had for many years and often used it for moments like these. He brings the flute to his lips and begins to play it.

The air was filled with the sweet and soft sound of a melodious lullaby. A sound that seemed to drown out everything around them as the people heard the flute being played by Riddick who stood alone on a small mound of rocks, eyes closed as he focused on playing the flute. 

For some reason the music seemed to have…calmed the people. As if relieving them of their grief and sorrow. They felt…happy to hear this music and felt that it was the right music they needed. The priest continued to pray for the souls as Riddick continued playing the flute. This was something Riddick does for the people. He would play the flute to help ease their pain and suffering, while also soothing the pain of those who were at death’s door until their passing. 

And more than that. This music was also for those whose souls have departed from the world of the living. The lullaby that Riddick played was for the souls to feel at peace in the afterlife, and it was his way to let the souls know that he will make things right and earn their forgiveness. 

‘No matter how long it takes. I will correct my sins. Even if it takes me an eternity. ’ Riddick inwardly vows to himself as a lone tear fell from his eye.

After playing the flute and receiving thanks from the people and the priest, Riddick felt a little better and bid them all goodbye before walking home. 

On his way home Riddick was looking around the city, testing out his enhanced vision, hearing and smell. He could see things much more clearer, and see things up close like his eyes automatically zoomed in on things. He hums to himself before closing his eyes and snapping them open. This time his eyes suddenly turned black while the iris turned an even brighter shade of red and the pupils into slits. His vision suddenly turned completely infrared. He could see several heat signatures from everything around him. 

“Well I’ll be damned.” He utters to himself in amazement. Suddenly his hearing picked up the sound of screeching tires. He looks to his left and his vision zoomed in to see a car full of robbers with bags of money, racing across the street as the police were chasing after them. His face twisted into a scowl as an animalistic growl escaped his lips. The city was almost destroyed by his rampage and those assholes think they can steal while it’s recovering? “I don’t think so.” 

Before he knew it his body took off on its own, running past several people who gawked at his sudden increase of speed. If that wasn’t enough Riddick managed to jump and run on the walls of various buildings, pulling off impossible movements no one could ever do. Riddick’s mind was in overdrive as he was making his way over to the robber’s car, unaware of how he was gaining on them, it didn’t matter to him. All that mattered was how to make them pay. 

That is until his hearing caught the sound of a girl laughing up ahead. He looks ahead and saw a little girl chasing her ball into the street. Right on the path of the robber’s car!

‘SHIT! ’ Riddick put as much strength in his legs and launched himself ahead of the car. 

Just in time as the girl’s mother cried out her name and she saw the car heading straight for her. Fortunately Riddick landed before her with the ground cracking from his sudden impact. He growls at the car which tried to stop as his fingers turned into claws. With his arms stretched out he stops the car before it could even hit the girl. The robbers cried out when the car collided with Riddick but to their surprise and shock he was still standing. 

Riddick growls loudly as his clawed fingers tore right into the metal as he kept himself firm as an iron wall. Snarling, he lifts the car over his head which caught everyone by surprise. He slams the car on the street with enough force to pop the tires and shake up the crooks. Breathing heavily from the adrenaline rush, Riddick’s eyes returned to normal and his claws changed back. He looked at his hands which were shaking before looking at the girl who gazed at him in awe. 

Realizing that everyone was staring at him he decided to leave as quickly as possible, and ran past the gawking people who were still stunned by his feats.

(Nighttime)

Back at his home Riddick was seen on his couch with his arm over his face, and Sly on his lap with San sitting beside him, Frida on the top of the couch and Baja laying on the floor. 

“...what a day. What. A. Day.” He mumbles to himself. “First I was just a normal high schooler, then I turn into a Godzilla-look-alike, and now I find out I have superhuman abilities.” He removes his arm from his face and looks over to the picture of him as a kid with his father and standing beside a man in a Godzilla costume from his trip to Japan. “I wonder…if this is how Godzilla himself must’ve felt when he suddenly grew to giant size. And taking his anger out on the humans.” He looks at his hand and then claws popped right out. He flexes his clawed fingers before they went back in. “This is gonna take some getting used to.”

Suddenly his nose picked something up. Something…unnatural. Then his hearing picked up a loud sound. The sound of…

“Wings?” Riddick utters.

San and the others sensed something was wrong and grew agitated by the strange presence in the air. 

Then a loud screeching sound was heard from outside and Riddick ran through the door and looks up. And when he did his vision became much clearer in the dark and saw a large creature flying overhead. It was a turkey vulture, a massive 78-meter tall turkey vulture!

The vulture’s body had a humanoid-like appearance with its wings a bit more muscular with claw-like hands and its head was an ugly hag-like face with several needle sharp teeth protruding from its beak and a pair of blazing yellow eyes. 

“A..a kaiju?!” Riddick gasped as the mutated vulture flew over his house. 

The vulture let out a loud shrieking roar as it soars through the night sky and heading right for Narim!

“Shit, this is bad, this is really bad!” Riddick was pacing back and forth trying to figure something out. That was when he realized something. He had to do something. He’s the only one who can stop that kaiju. The question is…can he keep himself in control? 

“No. I can’t think like that. If I’m to atone for my sins, I must do what needs to be done. I am a Rexton. We do not run from our problems, we face them and conquer them!” Riddick declared with his newfound determination and his eyes glowing with power. 

Riddick runs around the house and dove right into the water, swimming as fast as he can as his night vision found the tunnel he once used to return home. ‘ If I am going to right my wrongs, then I must use these powers to fix them! ’ Riddick’s eyes shifted from human to kaiju and he let out a roar as his whole body was engulfed in a large plume of bubbles.

The city of Narim was in chaos as the sound of air horns were blaring and screams filled the sky. People were running in a panic as the police forces and military were leading the people to safety, and in the sky the vulture was seen firing bolts of green balls from its beak, striking the buildings below. 

General Jordan Garner was seen with his forces as the tanks and missile launchers were in position. “All forces commence firing.” 

The tanks and launchers fired everything at the vulture, striking the bird kaiju as jets and helicopters fired their weapons as well. 

The vulture let out an angry shriek as it swung its wing which fired several razor sharp feathers, destroying the jets and helicopters before landing on the streets. The vulture shrieks in the sky as it fires more green bolts. 

Jordan grits his teeth as the kaiju was wrecking everything while his forces couldn’t do a thing. “First that Rexzilla creature shows up and now we get a giant bird?” He snarls angrily. 

“Sir, we have a situation!” A soldier came up with a woman who looked rather hysterical.

“My children, have you seen my children around here? We got separated in the chaos!”

“Dammit. Of all the times. Does anyone have eyes on those kids?” 

That was when they all heard the sound of two kids crying out for their mother. They saw two kids, a young 8-year old boy with a 6-year girl right in the path of a falling building!

“MATHEW, KATHERINE!” The mother screamed in terror as she was held back by the soldiers.

The two kids screamed in terror as they held onto each other, waiting for the inevitable. However, fate would have it another way as something big and fast threw itself over the children, shielding them from the falling debris. The sound of rumbling filled the air which caught the attention of the vulture as it shrieks loudly. 

The cloud faded and revealed, to the shock and surprise of everyone, Rexzilla himself. The giant lizard shook his back to rid himself of the debris and snarls at the vulture. Beneath him were the two children who were huddled together and very much alive. 

Matt opens his eyes to see they were alive and looks down at his sister. “Hey, you ok?” 

The little girl then noticed something above them. “Who is that?” 

The boy looks up and froze when he saw Rexzilla’s red eye staring at them, except the pupil was round like a circle. A soft growl was heard from the kaiju as he was glad he made it in time.

“..R-Rexzilla?” The boy gasped softly. 

The kaiju slowly nods.

Jordan, the mother and the soldiers were all shocked to see Rexzilla arriving again. Not only that but he shielded the two kids from certain death. Much to the mother’s relief. 

“That…creature…just saved those kids. But why?” Jordan questions himself. 

Rexzilla turns his narrowed gaze at the vulture who growled back at him. He rose up on his feet roaring in the night sky as his eyes suddenly glowed a dark purple color and so did his shoulder spines. Before anyone knew it, Rexzilla fired a black-purple laser from his eyes.

The laser beams struck the vulture’s left wing, singeing off its feathers. The vulture screeched in pain as it fell against a building. The people who were watching gawked in awe as the dark lizard charged at the downed bird. The vulture got back up and was met with a punch in the beak and a claw swipe at its chest. Shrieking angrily, the vulture retaliated as it swung its clawed hands at Rexzilla, who easily blocked them and delivers an uppercut. 

The vulture screeched and lashed out when Rexzilla grabbed both its hands and both kaiju attempted to push each other, growling fiercely like the beasts they are. 

Both the children watched in awe as the one who destroyed the northern region of Narim was defending them, acting like a hero they watched in their cartoon shows. 

Rexzilla was gritting his fangs as the vulture somehow gained the upper hand and pushed him back. It jumps while flapping its wings and attacks with its talons, forcing Rexzilla back while blocking the claws. He looks over his shoulder to see the children still behind him. Which was a mistake as the vulture gave a powerful punch to his face, sending him rolling back and looks up to see a ball of green fire flying straight for him.

An explosion was seen as the two children held onto each other and a loud crash was heard. They saw Rexzilla lying on his back and his eyes closed. 

“Oh, no! Matt he’s hurt!” Kate exclaims and tries to go to him but was held back by her brother. 

“Kate don’t!”

“Rexy, get up!” 

The boy looks up at the downed kaiju as his sister struggles to break free. “Rexzilla.” 

“Sir, should we attack the vulture?” A soldier asked. 

“No. A stray shot might hit those kids.” Jordan said while the mother was just barely holding herself together.

“Please! You have to help them, I'm begging you!” 

The vulture growled lowly as it was closing in on its downed prey with the intention of feasting on its flesh. 

“Rexzilla! Wake up, it's coming!” Matt called out hoping to wake up the giant lizard.

But Rexzilla didn’t open his eyes. And the vulture was preparing to fire another green fireball. That was when Matt heard his sister attempting to use her whistle, but she couldn’t as she was coughing too much. Matt recalled the number of times she used it on him to either wake him up or get his attention. He grabs her whistle, took a deep breath and blows into the whistle loudly enough it could be heard by all. 

“What’s that kid think he’s doing?” Jordan said in disbelief. 

Eventually Matt ran out of breath and pulled the whistle out of his mouth, waiting for Rexzilla to wake up.

Fortunately he did wake up as his eyes snapped wide open and glowed a violent red. 

The vulture caws in surprise as Rexzilla quickly stands up and roars in the air. His spines glowed and he fires his atomic breath striking the vulture who shrieks in pain as the beam explodes against its body. It feathers on fire, the vulture tried to fly away despite its damaged wing. It didn’t get far as Rexzilla fires his atomic breath again. The beam collides with the bird kaiju one last time before the vulture was engulfed in an explosion. 

The fiery bird let out one last cry before it went silent as its burning body crashed on the streets. 

“SSSSSKKKKKKKKRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNKKKKKKKKK!” Rexzilla roars victoriously at the sky, which was almost dawn as the sun was rising on the horizon.

Letting out a much needed breath, Rexzilla turns his attention to the children he saved. He goes over to them and kneels down low enough to see them. The soldiers all aimed their weapons at him thinking he might attack the kids. But he proved them wrong when he gently carried them in his hand and brought them over to them. 

Their mother pushed past the soldiers as Rexzilla lowered his hand as the children slid off him. 

“KIDS!”

“MOMMA!”

She embraced her son and daughter in her arms, showering them with kisses as she cried in joy and relief to see them safe. A low, rumbling growl was heard as they all turn their attention back at Rexzilla, who stared back at them. Mainly at the mother and her children.

“Y-You…saved them. Thank you. Thank you for saving my babies.” The mother thanked with tears running down her face.

“Thank you, Rexy!” Kate exclaims with a wide smile as her brother laughs. 

Jordan was torn between shooting Rexzilla or not, so he silently ordered his men to stand down. His expression remained stone faced as the kaiju turns his gaze at him before fully standing up. The kaiju gives a low growl before walking away from them and to the nearest port of the city. 

(Insert- Future Diary Blood Teller- instrumental)

The people who saw the battle between Rexzilla and the vulture all watched as the monster who first appeared and attacked Narim, was now leaving instead of continuing his rampage like before. Rexzilla. The monster who first attacked them, just saved their lives. The people were really mixed about this turn of events. Especially those who just lost their friends or dearest blood when he first showed up. 

Is Rexzilla truly their savior or their destroyer? Only time will tell. 

Rexzilla was last seen standing before the ocean as the light of the sun washed over him. He threw his head back and roars one last time before plunging into the water. He swam on the surface before diving into the water, going deeper and deeper until he was never seen again.

Back at the Rexton household Riddick was seen lying on his bed, eyes closed, hands behind his head and only in his night pants. He was exhausted from his first time transforming into Rexzilla, and fighting the vulture as well as trying to keep himself in control. But he pulled it off and managed to save everyone. It may take time for the people to fully forgive him during his first appearance, but he’ll keep on protecting them regardless of what they think of him. 

As he slept his hearing picked up the sound of someone outside his door, and the familiar smell of a certain vixen in his group just opened the door. 

“Hey, babe? You awake?” Leona asked.

“You go away now, Leona? I’m not in the mood.” He simply replied. 

“C’mon don’t be cold to me, red. Since the city’s being rebuilt, I decided to hang out with you like always. How about some cuddly time~?” 

Riddick only snorts through his nose. ‘ I know I love her and all. But she’s gonna give me gray hairs at this rate. ’ “We can cuddle until after I unstick myself from these sheets.” 

“That’s so lame! Why would you wanna make yourself sticky? Come one, GET UP!” Leona exclaimed as she suddenly jumps onto Riddick’s lap, snapping him out from his nap. 

And when he woke up he saw that Leona was wearing an outfit that is mostly a thin layer of cloth that exposes her belly button with some ornaments. And exposing her lovely dark skin, and the cloth on her breasts were hardly covering them but the nipples. 

Leona gave the red eyed teen a rather saucy smile as she looms over him. “Surprised? Did my outfit wake you up yet?” She asked while lightly grinding herself against him.

Riddick’s face remained stoic but his animal instincts were going haywire from seeing Leona in that outfit. They were demanding that he claim the dark skinned feline right there and now. “...Leona? What’s with the outfit?” 

“Just a little something I bought online. I figured this would really get you all excited~” She purred and gave a teasing lick on his nose. 

“DAMMIT LEONA!” A loud and angry voice was heard as they saw an irate Misato standing at the door with her face all red. “WHAT IN THE WORLD DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING?!”

Leona huffs while crossing her arms under her bust. “Whatever do you mean? I’m just giving our darling boyfriend a little incentive, if you know what I mean?” She said with a teasing grin. 

This made Misato angrier as she tackled Leona off Riddick and right outside the bedroom window.

Inside the living room were Rachel, James, Emily, Alex and Harvey who were watching the two girls causing yet another hissy fit once again. 

“Oh boy. Here we go again.” James sighs. 

“I knew that Leona was going a bit too far with that outfit. She’s on her own this time.” Emily said while petting Frida on the head. 

Both Alex and Harvey only laughed at the two girls wrestling each other on the field while Rachel only smiled and petted San’s ear. 

Riddick only gave a small chuckle as his girlfriends were arguing amongst themselves. Things may have gotten rather strange for him but he will face whatever comes his way head on. For he knew that if there’s one kaiju, there’s always more to follow. If that ooze did cause him and a simple vulture to transform into kaiju, then there’s bound to be more mutated kaiju out there. And when they do pop out he’ll be ready for them. 

‘Because I will be the Godzilla in this world. And I will become the real king of the monster! ’

Chapter Text

A screen opens up to reveal the icon of NCN, Narim Central News, as a musical note was heard in the background. The screen shows the infamous kaiju Rexzilla seemingly glaring at the viewers.

"Rexzilla. Who is he? What is he? Is he a friend or is he a foe?" We see a news anchor woman appearing as the background shows Rexzilla rampaging in the city and fighting the mutant vulture. "These are questions on everyone's mind since the creature's first appearance and the destruction of the northern district of Narim. As well as the sudden appearance of another monster."

The video then shows Rexzilla fighting various other creatures that seemed to appear out of nowhere. "Shortly after the vulture that many people are calling, Vultorra, several other creatures have arrived and started attacking everything around them. Military personnel have thrown everything they had but were ineffective."

Sitting right beside the woman was Jarod Garner in his military uniform.

"Joining us today is general Jarod Garner, who had a close encounter with Rexzilla during Vultorra's attack." The newswoman said while turning to the man in question. "General Garner, what can you tell us about Rexzilla after seeing it in person?"

"All I can tell is that creature's a menace. He destroyed nearly half of the northern district of Narim and killed so many lives, both civilian and military. An actual monster like that is too dangerous to just be ignored." The general said with a serious expression.

"But general, the creature did save the lives of the citizens when Vultorra showed up. As well as those other kaiju that arrived."

"None of this wouldn't even be possible if that oversized lizard hadn't shown up! Some people call that thing a hero, but it's still a monster in my book. And monsters like that must be put down."

Both of them turn to the screen behind them as Rexilla was seen standing over a dead body of a mutated frog, roaring in the air.

"As long as that monster lives. The army will kill this beast. No matter what."

The screen turned static before it was turned off.

(Insert opening theme; Future Diary, Blood Teller)

We see the fabled city of Narim in a state of chaos as plumes of smoke and fire littered the city and helicopters and jets were flying.

[There is power to overwhelm and destroy the world's most shocking monsters!]

We see the army firing their weapons against a kaiju along with others behind it, as they were tearing the city apart. We see Riddick glaring at the rampaging kaiju before we zoom in on his face with his eyes shifting to slits and the title card appearing below him.

[Kokoro ga shinu yo Jibun no tamerai ga Hikigane ni naru yo]

We see Riddick walking by himself in the city with his friends talking among themselves, when we see his reflection replaced by his kaiju self, Rexzilla as they both gazed at each other.

[Tasukete kimi e to Shinjite kimi kara Moreta koe ni yureru]

We then see Leona, Misato, Rachel and their friends in various angles with monstrous shadowed figures behind them, and a lone figure with two otters on their shoulders, were overlooking the ocean.

[Kiseki wo inorou ka Dakedo higeki wa]

The camera then shows general Garner standing with his soldiers gazing at the viewers, while we see Alan Maroni in his office with a vial of kaiju ooze, with a sinister smile on his lips.

[owaranai kodou Yami no oku de kurikaesu Sakebi, itami, ikari, akui Erabareshi BLOOD TELLER]

We now see a group of people fleeing from the kaiju that were attacking their home, while Riddick calmly walks towards them before being bathed in reddish/purple black flames and was then replaced with Rexzilla who roars into the heavens.

[Nakitakunai, kore ijou aitakunai Moeru itoshisa ga kousashita Ai ni kite nakitakute oikakete Dare ni mo tomerarenai]

Rexzilla was seen fighting kaiju after kaiju, while the military joined in the fray and fired their weapons. All the while Leona and the others watched on as their friend fought with all his might, and Maroni was seen throwing his arms wide open with a large tank of kaiju ooze behind him.

[Kore wa mirai soretomo yume? Kotae wa doko darou? Kore ga ima wo tamesu tobira kowasu no akeru no? Doushi you?]

We see an army of kaiju, aliens, mutants and robots surrounding Rexzilla who was joined with shadowed forms of unknown kaiju, while looming over them was a large shadow of a five-headed dragon-like kaiju as lightning flashed everywhere. Rexzilla's eyes glowed as did his spines before roaring defiantly and fires his atomic breath, as the scene switches over to Riddick, his friends and his kaiju self on top of the title card until everything fades into darkness.

It was all quiet within the forests outside of Narim, as the night sky slowly turned to dawn with the sun rising on the horizon. A deer was seen eating grass by a large tree when its hearing picked up the sounds of branches snapping. The deer looks at the direction of the sound as a branch or two falls from the trees.

Then a large tree branch fell beside the deer and startled it, making it run off as we turn our attention up at the trees. Leaping from tree to tree was none other than Riddick himself, wearing only shorts and no shirt on.

The young kaiju shifter was jumping from tree to tree with speed, grace and agility that would make monkeys green with envy. Ever since he gained the ability to become a kaiju thanks to that strange ooze, kaiju ooze, as he calls it. He's been testing himself in his human form to see how much it had affected him.

Not only did the ooze enhanced his sight, smell and hearing, but his strength, speed and agility as well.

He was racing up a tree while dodging the branches in his way and jumped to incredible heights. He was soaring up in the air till he passed through some clouds and felt himself falling. Rather than panicking he spreads his arms and legs out as he was falling towards the forest. He then lands on top of a tree with perfect ease. He lets out a sigh as the cool morning air washed over him and he gazes at the rising sun.

It had been 2 to 3 weeks since his first transformation as Rexzilla, and his battle with his first kaiju enemy. In the weeks that followed several other mutated kaiju appeared as well. Most likely from the kaiju ooze that turned them into monsters. He recalled the words Prof. Clarke mentioned to him regarding the ooze.

(flashback)

Inside his classroom which was empty, Simon Clarke was seen with Riddick talking about what happened at the beach.

"What? You saw a group of men cleaning up the ooze?" Riddick questions.

"Yes. The moment I arrived I saw a large number of people both on land and in the water wearing hazmat suits." Prof. Clarke explained recalling what he saw. "Not only that but there were some armed guards as well. Keeping an eye out for anyone who might snoop around."

He looks over to a small vial which contains the ooze that's on his desk. "Fortunately, I was able to grab a small sample of the mutagen you told me about and quickly left before I was spotted." Simon said while turning back to his student. "Whoever those men were I can certainly tell you they weren't part of the military. They wore uniforms that I had never seen before."

Riddick crossed his arms in thought. If there was a team of soldiers and men in hazmat suits that weren't part of the military, it could only mean one thing. "Someone's trying to cover it up. Someone who doesn't want others to know about the kaiju ooze."

This gave the professor a sense of dread from what his student deduced. "If what you say is true then we may have stumbled upon a conspiracy. A dangerous one at that. We better keep a low profile until we figure out who created this."

Riddick only nods.

The room was silent for a minute before Simon spoke again. "In the meantime, I'm gonna continue to study this mutagen and see exactly how it mutated you and those creatures."

"You do that professor." Riddick said before heading for the door.

"One more thing." Simon calls out.

Riddick stops and partially looks over his shoulder.

"Do you plan on telling your friends your…condition?"

Riddick knew what his teacher meant. For almost a week straight he's been keeping his other self a secret from his friends, fearing that they might not even want to be around him anymore, or get caught in his battles.

"I'll tell them when it comes to that." He said before leaving through the door.

Riddick knew that his friends will find out eventually. Suppose he'll have to tell them sooner rather than later. He then jumps off the tree and runs through the forest to his house.

Inside his home Riddick was preparing food for San and the others. Who were waiting patiently for their master to serve them their young shifter then presented them their food which made them happy and started digging in.

"Now then. Time for me to get going." He said and grabs his bag and heads for the door for school.

(Crystal Star Valley)

Riddick was seen at the school yard as the class was given a half hour break. His hearing could pick up the various talks from the students. All of which were about Rexzilla. Some saw him as a hero, a protector while others were mixed about him, mostly the negative sort. Still feeling bitter over what he did during his first arrival.

Regardless of how they think of him, it mattered not. He would still protect the people of Narim as atonement for his first rampage. With him are his friends who were merely doing their own thing, while Leona and Misato were leaning on him while resting their shoulders.

Everything seemed peaceful for them. That is until…

"I SAID LEAVE ME ALONE!"

A sudden shout was heard as they turned to see someone screaming. Someone, mainly Alex recognized and was completely livid by what he saw.

Standing by a snack machine was a young girl who was roughly 16 years old with light brown hair and golden highlights that went past her shoulders, and brownish-gold eyes. Her shirt was a hot pink color with a Hello Kitty face stamped on the bottom of her shirt, short blue jeans that stopped at her knees and tennis shoes. This is Cassandra Greene, another friend of theirs as well as Alex's girlfriend.

There were two older boys next to her. One of them was a foot or two taller than the other one. The short boy has tanned skin and wore a black leather jacket, jeans with a few tears and biker boots. He had a few studs on his jacket as well as a greenish-yellow mohawk on his head with teal-colored eyes. This boy's name was Matthew Olson, but everyone calls him Lunk.

While the taller boy was of Caucasian descent, he was more built than Lunk as he wore a torn sleeveless vest showing his slightly muscular arms, a black buzz cut hair style, green eyes, a dark blue shirt underneath his vest, studded wristbands, a pair of jeans and similar boots like his friend. This was Howard Jackson, but everyone calls him Punk.

Both Lunk and Punk were known to be nothing but annoying pests to their fellow classmates, often causing trouble here and there. There was no real harm. But they do tend to get on everyone's nerves.

"Aw jeez. Lunk and Punk are at it again." James sighs.

"And it looks like they picked the wrong girl to flirt with." Emily pointed out as they saw a fuming Alex standing up and marching straight for them.

Riddick shook his head knowing that those two just signed their death warrants.

"I thought I told you two to leave me alone." Cassandra told the two who were pestering her.

"Aw, c'mon, cutie. We just want to have some fun with ya. Don't we Punk?" Lunk said to his friend.

Punk chuckles as he nods. "Yeah toots. Why don't you hang out with some real men?"

Cassandra only huffs and turns her head in disgust. Just before they could try anything they felt a pair of hands on their heads as an irate Alex loomed over them.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU CHUMPS DOING?! SHE'S MY GIRLFRIEND!" He yells at them while easily lifting both over his head and throwing them across the yard.

Lunk and Punk cried out as they flew across the yard and landed headfirst into some trash cans.

Alex snorts through his nose while dusting his hands. "And don't you forget it!" He said and crossed his arms with his eyes closed. Then he felt a pair of arms on his and saw his girlfriend leaning against him.

"Always the protective boyfriend, eh Alexander?" She smiles while batting her eyelashes at him.

This made Alex chuckle bashfully while rubbing the back of his head. He was always a lovesick puppy around Cassandra but gets really fired up whenever someone bothers her and always chases them off. "Aw, shucks Sandra~"

This made Riddick and the others chuckle at their little display of affection while the other students just laughed at Lunk and Punk's predicament.

(Argento Industries)

Deep beneath the building of the most famous pharmaceutical company, we see Alan Maroni walking towards Mortum who was working on their latest work. "I take it things are going smoothly, Mortum?"

"Y-Yes sir. We have already begun recreating the mutagen that was created during the first failure of our previous project."

Maroni recalled that day. He had to quell the people of Narim from trying to figure out what caused that explosion from his company, as well as cleaning up the mess the experiment had left. One that created things of…gigantic proportions.

"To think that our failed project resulted in creating something more incredible." Maroni breathed out while gazing at the glowing purple fluids. "And the results created the world's very own real life giant monsters."

"We still have yet to discover the mutagen's potential and what other side effects it may have."

Suddenly a monitor came to life to show a man's face on the screen. "Sir, there's a situation."

"What is it?"

The screen shows a beach and a large unknown lifeform in the water. "We detected a massive organism in the waters of Starfall Beach."

Starfall Beach. So named because of the stories of how stars would fall on that specific beach and was eventually named after the falling stars. It was that very beach where the mutagen was first unleashed and gave rise to Narim's very first kaiju, Rexzilla and others that followed soon after his appearance. He had his men gather up as much of the mutagen as they could before anyone else could link it to him. "We believe it's a mutation. How should we handle this, sir?"

"Leave it. I am rather curious to see more of our resident dark kaiju again." Maroni told his underling. "He may prove to be more…useful in handling our mutation problems."

The man on the screen nods and the monitor went silent.

"As long as that oversized lizard destroys those creatures. It'll keep the people off our trail while we continue experimenting on this mutagen." Maroni said while gazing deeply at the glowing ooze with a sinister smile. "Things are going to be very interesting with what we can create with this mutagen." He let out a low chuckle which echoes in the lab.

(Later)

School was now over, and Riddick was seen walking past the gate with his friends behind. "So, babe. Got anything planned for today?" Leona asked while leaning on his left arm.

Misato was glaring at her while clinging onto Riddick's right arm. Despite agreeing to share him they still compete for him.

Before Riddick could answer her his hearing suddenly picked up the sounds of screaming, coming from the other side of the city. And it was coming from Starfall Beach. "I'm afraid we'll have to take a raincheck on that. There's something I need to take care of." Riddick said to a disappointed Leona.

Even Misato was feeling saddened that Riddick had to leave again. Both girls let go of his arms and they saw him taking off with his newfound speed. This has become an occurring thing as of late ever since that day Rexzilla showed up. Whenever a kaiju would appear Riddick would tell them he has something important to do, he would leave them and go off to who knows where. And this was starting to worry them.

"Where do you think he runs off to?" Harvey asks while rubbing his head.

"I'm not sure. But I know he'll tell us when he's ready. We just need to wait till then." James said. Usually, he's the voice of reason whenever Riddick's not around, always making sure their group is still together until Riddick returns.

Both girls can only look at the distance from where Riddick ran off to and hope that he may tell them what's really going on.

(Starfall Beach)

(Insert-David Arnold - 1st Helicopter Chase / Godzilla Swats A Chopper)

The air was filled with the screams of panicking civilians and the sounds of gunfire from the distance as we see Navy battleships firing off their cannons at a massive dorsal fin. Then from the waters was a gigantic, mutated great white shark with 6 greenish-yellow eyes and a darker blue skin tone on its body. The shark itself stretched over 69 to 77 meters long and had a 3rd row of teeth.

The shark roars loudly as it was being pelted by several rockets and explosive rounds before diving into the water.

On one of the ships was general Garner along with the admiral of the ship as they watched the battle going on. The admiral turns to one of his crewmates. "Don't let up. Launch all depth charges and try to drive out further into the sea."

"Aye, sir!"

General Garner watched through the window as several depth charges were launched into the sea and a series of explosions were heard. "We can't let this thing get away from us. We have to kill this thing here and now." He said with an iron determination. Ever since Rexzilla had appeared, more and more monsters followed shortly after he did, and Narim had become a rather hot spot for monster activity. Regardless of what people may say about the dark kaiju, Garner still thinks that Rexzilla is a menace ever since his rampage on that fateful night. "Are there any sightings of you-know-who yet?"

The admiral shook his head. "None that we can see so far. But he won't stay quiet for long."

They were interrupted when they felt their ship rocking from the waves as the shark kaiju rose up in the air and collided with another ship, destroying it and sinking the burning remains.

"Launch the sub-pods!"

"Sub-pods, launching!"

On the ship 3 mini subs were launched into the ocean and were heading for the mutated shark. The shark took notice of the 3 sub-pods and started to swim away from them.

"Follow my lead." Mako 01 told his fellow pilots.

The shark continued swimming to get away from the pursuing sub-pods, but they continued to follow the kaiju.

"All systems, armed."

"Mako 04 farmed."

On their screens they have the shark in their sights until they finally lock onto the fleeing kaiju. "Fire torpedoes!"

The sub-pods each fired a torpedo at the shark while some missed, a few managed to make contact, causing the shark to roar in anger. The shark swam faster to avoid their torpedoes as they continued pursuing the kaiju.

"We're losing the target, sir."

"Stay on it. We can lose it now."

The sub-pods fired more torpedoes at the kaiju, but the creature kept avoiding them, before finally swimming around and heading straight for them. Its mouth wide open, it went and bites down on one of the sub-pods and destroys it.

"We just lost Mako 04!"

"Evasive maneuvers!"

The two sub-pods moved out of the way as the shark tried to attack them but missed. Mako 01 fires some more torpedoes at the shark, the weapons struck the kaiju which only made it angrier and goes on to the attack. The shark opens its mouth letting out a roar in the water as it closes in on the sub-pod, which the pilot cries out and desperately shield himself as the shark's jaws bites the sub-pod and kills the man inside.

"We lost Mako 01 sir!"

"GOD!" Garner shouts in anger.

"Mako 02, where is the target?"

Mako 02 was seen being chased by the shark who kept snapping its jaws at him. "Oh, Jesus! It's right on my tail sir." The pilot exclaims, trying to escape the raging shark that killed his comrades. "I don't think I can shake him!"

The shark was relentless in its pursuit of the sub-pod. Wanting to crush the pitiful human who dared to attack it. The shark was getting dangerously closer as its mouth was wide open and ready to chomp on the poor soul. That is until something crashed into the shark with a thundering punch below its jaws. It was so powerful it actually sent the shark flying upward and breaking the water's surface.

(End background theme)

Everyone aboard the ships saw the shark flying out of the water with awed and shocked expressions as it soon fell back into the water with a splash.

"What the hell just happened?" Garner exclaims.

"Sir, we have a signal on radar. It's huge!"

"It's rising to the surface!"

Garner turns to the admiral as they both thought the same thing. "You don't think it's…" They turn to the window to see the surface churning and bubbling violently.

Rising from the water was none other than Rexzilla himself! The dark kaiju rears his head and roars at the sky as several helicopters hovered in the air.

"Rexzilla." Garner grits his teeth. "He had to show up."

(End background theme)

Rexzilla took notice of the shark's fin and dives right back into the water, swimming straight for the kaiju. The shark sensed him and swam towards him with the intention of feasting on his flesh. Both kaiju were closing in as the shark opens its mouth to bite, but Rexzilla caught its jaws and began to wrestle with the shark, growling underwater as they rolled around beneath the sea.

The dark kaiju started clawing at the shark's skin, drawing blood. This causes the shark to roar in pain and thrashes violently to escape. The shark then pushes Rexzilla downward until they crash on the ocean floor, kicking up a cloud of sand. The shark broke free and bites down onto Rexzilla's side which made him howl in pain as blood flowed from his wounds. Rexzilla snarls and then punches one of the shark's eyes forcing it to let go and swims away. He could feel his wounds healing and the pain vanishing, he then took off after the shark with his spines glowing, a thundering rumble echoing in the water and then fires his atomic breath at the shark.

The shark senses the attack and manages to dodge it. The beam then broke the surface of the ocean, startling everyone and almost hitting the helicopters in the air.

The admiral turns to his captain. "Fire everything, we have at them now!"

"Yes, sir!"

Both Rexzilla and the shark were once again wrestling with each other, when a series of explosions erupted around them. Several torpedoes were bombarding them, and other sub-pods were firing their weapons as well, it was enough to cause both kaiju to split apart. Rexzilla was forced to cover his face as a few torpedoes collided with his body while the shark snarled angrily at the humans and took this as a chance to escape. Rexzilla was about to give chase when he shrieked in surprise from the torpedoes striking him.

He turns and glares at the Navy who kept firing at him. Rather than fight them he started swimming as fast as he could.

"Sir, the shark's escaping and Rexzilla's attempting to flee."

"Forget the shark. Focus on Rexzilla!" Garner barked.

Rexzilla continued swimming as the sub-pods behind him gave chase, firing their torpedoes at him. The ocean was filled with explosions as the dark kaiju was being pelted by them. He couldn't fight back knowing that they still believe him to be a threat, especially after his first transformation. Not that he could fault them. He still has yet to fully forgive himself until he earns their faith.

The dark kaiju then dives deeper and collides with the rocky terrain of the ocean causing a large cloud of sand to fly everywhere. By the time the sub-pods stopped the cloud had dissipated and Rexzilla was nowhere in sight.

"Sir. We lost visual on the target. He's gone."

Garner sighs angrily and slams his palms on the console. "Dammit. He slipped through us again."

"Not just him but so did Chompoid. He's gone too."

The general looks at the admiral with a raised brow. "Chompoid?"

The admiral looked rather sheepish. "One of my men named the shark, general. It was, uh, all they could think of."

Garner blinked twice before sighing again and pinching the bridge of his nose. "This is a friggin 'disaster."

Meanwhile on the shores of the beach a hand was seen reaching out and grabbing a large rock. It was revealed to be a very naked Riddick climbing out of the water, coughing and breathing heavily while his body had bruises and some wounds that were already healing.

He looks over his shoulder to see the Navy's ships and helicopters combing the area. Searching for both the shark and his kaiju self. Sighing softly, he climbs on the rocks, walks over to a large boulder where a towel and his clothes were hidden and begins to dry himself off. He was thinking on how he was gonna explain his 'condition' to his friends. He knew that sooner or later they would find out, and he would rather be the one to tell them.

"Tomorrow's a weekend, so I'll tell them. No more secrets between us." He promised himself as he started dressing himself. With his clothes back on he jumps from one rock to the next and lands on the cliff before taking off to his home.

In another part of the ocean, the shark designated Chompoid, was seen laying on the ocean floor writhing as though it was in pain. It growled loudly as its body suddenly started…to change. Its tail grew longer, its upper body started to expand while its fins grew longer and suddenly morphed into a strong pair of arms with 5 webbed fingered hands, and the upper body becoming more humanoid in appearance. Then below the torso six tendrils burst out and the tips splitting open into a tri-claw.

Chompoid raises its head and roars loudly in the water, scaring away any of the sea life before turning its sights at a large blue whale swimming overhead. That was when the shark launched its tendrils at the whale who wasn't aware of what was coming.

(Next day)

It was now Saturday in Narim as the people were going about their normal routine despite what happened at the beach. Speaking of the beach. We turn our attention to Riddick and his friends who were enjoying themselves in the sand or in the water.

Riddick however was staring out at the ocean. Still pondering how he was gonna tell his friends about his other self. More than that he knows that shark kaiju, Chompoid, the media oh-so-loving called it was still out there in the ocean just waiting to strike.

"Something wrong babe?"

He looks over his shoulder to see Leone wearing a purple bikini top and bottom while wearing a short-sleeved summer coat. "You look like you got something on your mind." She said while looping an arm around his neck.

This didn't go unnoticed by the others who were also looking at Riddick. They know that he has something on his mind and they're simply waiting for him to open up and tell them everything.

"Whatever's troubling you, Riddick-chan, we'll listen no matter what." Misato assures him.

The others all nodded. Showing him that they're there for him.

Riddick only gave a small sigh. 'Guess this is it. No turning back now.'

As he was about to tell them everything, he suddenly went stiff as a board and his pupils immediately turned into slits. His kaiju instincts were telling him that danger was approaching.

Just then the water started to bubble and churn violently, catching everyone's attention as they saw the foaming waters.

"What is that?" Rachel asked with a fearful expression.

Riddick snarls under his breath. His teeth slowly sharpened, and his nails turned into claws.

Rising from the water was none other than Chompoid, the shark kaiju that attacked the beach yesterday, was now sporting a new look. The mutated shark was towering over the humans with his newly gained arms as the tendrils dangled below him.

"...well shit." Riddick curses under his breath.

Chompoid lets out a roar which causes everyone on the beach to scream and flee in terror. The shark begins to walk on his arms toward the beach while Riddick and his friends stood there in a daze.

"It's that shark monster again!" James exclaims.

"Chompoid!" Harvey gasped while gawking at the shark.

Rachel was holding onto Leona as she trembled at the sight of the shark kaiju, only to see Riddick running towards a large boulder. "Riddick. what are you doing?!" Her cries caught everyone's attention when they saw Riddick suddenly grabbing the boulder and lifting it with his 'newly' gained strength.

"GET OUT OF HERE! GO!" He shouts at them while holding the boulder over his head and chucks it at Chompoid which struck one of his three left eyes. Causing one of them to explode in blood.

Chompoid let out a shrieking roar in pain and surprise as he held his bleeding face.

Riddick glares at the shark before turning at his friends with his eyes partially turning inhuman. "All of you need to run, now!"

"But what are you-"

"I SAID GO RIGHT NOW!" He roars at them which made them flinch from the way his voice suddenly sounding more…bestial.

That was when a large tendril came straight for Riddick who barely had time to react, was struck with the force of a speeding truck and sent him flying straight for the ocean!

"RIIIDDIIIICK!"" Leona, Misato and Rachel cried out the loudest as their friends watched in horror.

It only got worse when the shark turns his gaze at them and roars in the air.

"Aw shit, RUN!" James shouted while grabbing Emily and running as fast as they could with the others following behind.

Chompoid stomps on the beach as many of the visitors were either gone or hiding from the kaiju. The sounds of helicopters were heard as they were approaching the beach. They were specialized SWAT helicopters, a police version of an Apache helicopter meant to provide protection and support. The helicopters started firing their vulcans while some fired their missiles.

The air was filled with the sounds of explosions, gunfire and Chompoid's roars as we turn our attention under the sea. We find Riddick slowly sinking from the sudden impact of Chompoid's tendril and crashing into the water. As his body was sinking there were several bolts of red electricity around his body and his eyes snapped open, glowing a bloody red color.

Back on the surface, Chompoid was stomping towards a small fishing town near Starfall Beach, plums of smoke and fire was everywhere as the people were running in a panic. Several police and SWAT units were there on the scene trying to buy enough time for the army to arrive.

They all were shooting their weapons at the shark, but they did nothing but annoy him. Chompoid lashes out with his tendrils striking the police and SWAT vehicles, causing them to explode.

Hiding near a building were Leona, Misato, Rachel, James, Emily, Alex and Harvey who watched the carnage unfold before them. They were all still shocked from witnessing their friend getting mercilessly swatted like a fly. Leona, Misato and Rachel were the most affected. Seeing the man of their affection sent flying from that kaiju's attack had shattered their worlds.

Both Leona and Misato were glaring hatefully at the shark, while Rachel looked like she was having a panic attack.

"Damn. They're getting hammered!" Alex cursed as he watched as Chompoid was wreaking havoc.

"Y-you think the army will be able to handle that thing?" Emily questions.

"I wouldn't count on it. Unless they drop a nuke there's no way they'll kill that thing!" James said while slamming his fist against the wall of the building. "There's gotta be something we can do."

"Uh, dude? How exactly? We're just high school students." Harvey mentions. "How are we gonna do anything at this point?"

"Hey, look!" Leona calls out while pointing in front of her.

They all saw what she was pointing at and saw Chompoid walking up to a fish processing factory. The shark used his tendrils to pry open the roof of the building as his nose was assaulted by the smell of fish. Using two tendrils he scoops up a mouth full of a variety of fish and shoves them in his mouth. After swallowing the fish, Chompoid lunges forth and starts feasting on anything he could get in the factory.

"I think we can use that to our advantage." Leona spoke out.

"How exactly?" Rachel asked, having recovered from her brief meltdown.

"Alex and Harvey will find a truck full of fish, hotwire it and use it to lure that shark to the dock. While we try to lure it away ourselves."

They all stared at her in total disbelief from hearing her plan.

"Are you crazy? There's no way that'll work!" James protested. As much as he trusts Leona, the plan she had was way too dangerous.

"You guys got a better idea than let's hear it." Leona said with her arms crossed.

After a brief moment of silence, they all made their decision. "Eh, why not? I'm game." Alex shrugs.

"Same here. Never thought I'd be part of a kaiju flick anyway." Harvey said with his usual grin.

Both jocks clasped their hands together and then took off to find a truck.

"While those two try and find the bait. We're gonna get that thing's attention." Leona said with a predatory grin. "James. You, Emily and Rachel find a car for us, while Misato and I have a little facetime with Chompy over there."

Before James could protest any further, both girls had already gone ahead, and from the look in their eyes told him exactly what was on their minds. They both want that shark dead for what he did to Riddick, the boy they love, and they aren't gonna let this slide. With no other choice James, Emily and Rachel went to find a car that's still intact.

Chompoid continues eating all the fish he could find in the factory, when suddenly an explosion erupted from his gills. He roars from the sudden attack and pulls his head from the building.

"HEY, OVER HERE ASSHOLE!"

He turned his attention to where the voice was coming from and saw it was both Leona and Misato, who had grenade launchers they picked up from the deceased SWAT members. Both girls stood defiant before the shark with fierce and angry expressions that could kill a hundred men.

"YOU THINK YOU CAN JUST SWAT OUR BOYFRIEND LIKE SOME DAMN FLY AND JUST WALK AWAY?!" Leona shouted angrily at the shark.

"IF YOU THINK WE'RE LETTING YOU GO UNPUNISHED, YOU GOT ANOTHER THING COMING KUSO YARO-ME!" Misaro exclaimed while aiming her grenade launcher and pulled the trigger.

A grenade was shot from the weapon and struck Chompoid's nose which made the shark roar in surprise and pain. It angrily roars at the girls and stomps his way toward them, while throwing one tendril at them. They both fired their weapons at the tendril to keep it from reaching them, which was enough to blow the tip off. This caused Chompoid to shriek from the loss of the tip of his tendril, and only made him angrier.

"LET'S GO!" Leona shouts at Misato and both girls started running.

Both Leona and Misato were running as fast as they could while an angry shark was on their tail. They soon heard the sound of a car horn and saw James with the others riding in a car they found. "GET IN QUICK!" He shouted while Rachel opens the back door.

They soon got inside the car and James accelerates just in time as a tendril crushed the spot they were on.

"You two are crazy, you know that?!" James exclaims over his shoulder.

"Shut up and drive!"

The car was last seen driving away from the town to another part of the beach, with Chompoid right behind them. They planned on luring the shark away from the town just enough for Alex and Harvey to lure Chompoid someplace else. Beyond that? They had no idea but hoped that some miracle would arrive.

However, just before they could go any further, they saw the shark's gaping mouth approaching!

"EVERYBODY OUT!" Leona orders.

They did just that and in time as the shark's jaws clamped onto the car. Crushing it into pieces. Leona and the clothes cried out as they were rolling down on a hill of grass. Having literally escaped the jaws of death and all that.

"I stand corrected. You two are crazy." James snarks while glaring at Leona who glares back. That was when they noticed a shadow looming over them and saw Chompoid who roared at them which caused Emily and Rachel to scream while James, Leona and Misato only stared in a frozen state.

Then the sound of a truck horn was heard, and they all turned their attention to see a truck with two trailers full of fish driving by. Both Alex and Harvey were seen riding the truck with Alex behind the wheel. "Hey, Bruce, reject! You still hungry? Come and get it!" Alex called out as he and Harvey laughed together.

Chompoid gave a small roar and chased after the truck.

"What comes after this part of the plan?" James inquiries.

"I'm making this up as I go." Leona tells him and then runs toward the location of where the shark went, with the others behind.

Up ahead was the truck driving to the shore with Chompoid still behind them. By the time they were near the ocean they reached a parking spot for cars. Both jocks looked out the window and quickly got out of the truck as Chompoid's jaws latched onto the trailers, threw his head back and swallowed the whole truck of fish. They stood frozen like statues when the shark turned his attention to them and roars at them.

Suddenly, the sound of the water churning and bubbling caught their attention and bursting out of the water, was Rexzilla himself!

Rexzilla stood before the shark letting out a loud roar, letting him know that he was ready to finish where they left off. Chompoid responds with his own roar and both kaiju march toward each other.

The moment they got close to one another, Chompoid lunges at Rexzilla with his arms and tendrils. The dark kaiju grabbed onto the shark's hands while the tendril wrapped themselves around him, he swings his claws at the shark slicing into his skin as they both briefly turn in the water, the shark opens his jaws to bite Rexzilla, but the dark kaiju grabbed him by the nose and shoves him in the water. Chompoid rose back on his hands while he and Rexzilla circled each other.

Rexzilla goes in with a punch, but the shark quickly moves and uses his tendrils to pull Rexzilla by the legs causing him to fall in the water, and the shark jumping in as well.

Both Alex and Harvey watched in awe while the others arrived. "About time you guys showed up." Alex exclaims.

"Where's Chompoid?" Leona questions.

Her question was answered when they saw both Rexzilla and Chompoid rising from the ocean, Rexzilla was caught by the shark's tendrils and was dragged into the water when Chompoid spun to his right. Rexzilla's hand shot forth, grabbed the shark's snout and drags him in. This caused a huge splash of water to soak Leona and the others who shielded themselves from the water. They watched on as Rexzilla was slamming his fist on Chompoid's head, digging his claws into his side and biting the shark on the neck.

This caused Chompoid to shriek out in anger as he finally broke free from Rexzilla's grasp, and suddenly threw up a greenish-yellow sludge at Rexzilla's face. The dark kaiju howls in surprise and disgust as he shields his face from the shark's vomit.

Chompoid then delivers a right hook to Rexzilla's head, sending him crashing into the water.

(End background music)

The sight of the shark throwing up sludge at Rexzilla caused Leona and her friends to cringe or cry out in disgust.

"Dude! Nasty!" Harvey gagged.

"I think I'm gonna be sick." Emily moans through her hands to keep from vomiting herself.

As Chompoid was walking away from his opponent the sound of a helicopter caught their attention and when it landed, they saw Rachel's father, General Garner stepping out when he saw his daughter and her friends and runs up to her.

"Dad?!"

"Rachel!?"

Their little reunion was broken when they saw Chompoid stomping towards them. They all quickly got out of the way when the shark's hand nearly crushed them and moved onward to the town.

"Looks like those new reports were right, that thing did change. For that matter, Rachel, what're you and your friends doing here?" Garner questions his daughter. "It's too dangerous here. You kids need to go, now!"

"But dad-"

They turned their attention back at Chompoid who was nearing the town and some of the locals who were still there all started running for their lives. That was when a large boulder was seen flying at Chompoid and crashed on his back. The shark yelps in surprise and turns around to see it was Rexzilla standing on top of a tall ridge, holding two boulders. He roars at the shark and throws the two boulders at him.

The two boulders struck Chompoid which made him roar furiously and went up the ridge, intending to finish Rexzilla off for good.

Rexzilla briefly looks behind him before turning back at Chompoid with a small smirk. He turns around and starts digging at the edge of the ridge till he was completely underground by the time Chompoid stops and looks curiously at the flying dirt.

"What's he doing now?" Garner asked.

"It looks like he's tunneling under that ridge. It's unstable." Misato noted.

"And look what's underneath it." Alex pointed out.

Just below the ridge were a series of sharp rocks of various sizes with the largest stretching higher than the rest. As Chompoid was blindly looking for his opponent, Rexzilla pops up from behind him, which the shark turns only to feel the ground collapsing underneath him. In a desperate effort, Chompoid lashes out with four tendrils around Rexzilla's arms, pulling the dark kaiju to keep himself from falling.

That was when the two spines on his shoulders glowed purple, so did his eyes and Rexzilla fires his Dark Haze vision, cutting the tendrils and watches Chompoid falling helplessly while roaring in futility until he was impaled by the sharp rocks below. The shark let out a wailing roar in pain as blood was squirting out from his wounds and flailing around. Chompoid let out one last roar before he eventually fell silent as more rocks fell from the ridge and buried him.

Rexzilla let out a small roar in victory only to shriek as the ground gave way beneath him and he too fell from the ridge. He quickly braces himself as he crashes on the ground and finds himself buried under the rocks.

Leona and the others watched in shock and worry, while the general didn't show such concerns.

"Heh. Two monsters for the price of one." Garner said with a smirk.

This caused Leona and the others to look at him in disbelief. Sure, they know he views Rexzilla as a threat when he first showed up, but he has been trying to protect the people from the other kaiju that's been popping up everywhere. But to see him with that look in his eyes didn't mean they liked it.

"That monster just sacrificed himself for us, general!" Leona snaps at her friend's dad.

Before an argument could happen, they hear the rocks crumbling and to the gang's relief and the general's chagrin, Rexzilla burst out from the rocks roaring to the sky. Then a squad of six attack helicopters arrived and swarmed the dark kaiju who only stared at them.

"Requesting permission to fire on Rexzilla." One of the pilots spoke.

"On my signal." Garner said through his mobile radio.

Leona then goes to stop him while James and Alex try to pull her back. "No, you can't!" She exclaims while pulling on the man's arm, only to be shoved back.

"I told you kids to get out of here!" He barks at them. "Be ready to fire." Then to his shock he finds Rachel standing before him with her arms spread out. "Rachel, what are you doing? Get out of here!"

"Daddy, please listen, you have to stop this." Rachel pleaded to her father. "He's not trying to hurt us or anyone else, he's not your enemy."

"Tell that to the people who lost their friends and loved ones when he first showed up, or did you forget that already?" Garner exclaimed.

"I know what he did was wrong but he's trying to make up for it!" Rachel argued. "Like humans, animals can change too, and he's changed since that day. He's not the monster everyone's believed him to be." She walks up to him and places her hands on his. "Just please. Give him a chance. I know you think it's your job to protect people, but even you need protecting as well. So, please daddy. Please?"

Garner could see the sheer desperate look in his daughter's eyes. Despite the people of Narim having mixed feelings about the dark kaiju, his daughter was the only one who sees him in a different light. Rachel always had a thing for animals as she was the most gentlest soul he ever knew, much like her mother, his late wife who always tried to get him to see the good in all living things regardless of their actions.

After what felt like forever the general spoke into his radio. "Return to base."

"Sir?"

"Repeat; return to base. Is that clear?" Garner orders.

"Yes, sir."

"Roger that."

The helicopters took off back to HQ, leaving Rexzilla alone who inwardly sighs in relief.

Garner puts his radio away while Rachel gave him a grateful smile. "Thank you, daddy."

"Don't make me regret this Rach." Garner told her while he and the kids watched Rexzilla walking towards the ocean, briefly looking in their direction and then dives into the water.

While the gang was relieved to see Chompoid finally dead and the general letting Rexzilla go, they were far from safe when the general gave them a very stern expression.

"Now look, just because I decided to look the other way, don't think for ONE second that you and your friends are off the hook just yet, young lady." Garner said with his arms crossed and an angry look on his face.

This caused everyone to freeze like statues as they knew they were in deep trouble. Rachel especially.

"Oh man…" Harvey groans with sweat dripping from his face.

(Later)

After an hour's worth of scolding from general Garner, and the sun had just set, Leona and her friends were seen walking up to Riddick's house with solemn expressions after being chewed out by Rachel's dad as well as the threat of him telling their families about what happened.

"Rachel, no offense, but your dad's scary." Harvey said with his shoulders slumped.

"No offense taken. Still, I'm more worried about Riddick than being grounded for life." She mentions.

Shortly after the scolding from her dad, Rachel and her friends tried to look for Riddick, but they never found him, much to their worry and distress.

"We looked everywhere for him but found nothing." James said while Emily placed a comforting hand on his shoulder.

"Do you think he might've survived at all? I mean, he took a pretty big hit from Chompy earlier." Alex stated.

Before Leona and Misato could berate him they heard the sound of splashing water from the lake behind the house. They quickly run behind the house while they brought out flashlights, they shined the lights at the lake when they saw it was Riddick himself climbing out of the lake.

"Babe! You're all-" Leona suddenly gasped along with the others when they saw something that made them freeze in shock.

When their lights revealed Riddick climbing out of the lake, they noticed patches of dark scales on his body, rows of spines on his back and his hands were reptilian with claws. When he heard them, he turned his head towards them to show the left side of his face covered with scales and his sharp teeth while the right side was pure human.

They all stare at him in total shock as he also gazes at them in shock and worry. 'Shit! This wasn't how I planned to tell them.'

"...R-Riddick? Wha…what in the…" Leona stutters as she watches her boyfriend climb out of the lake and stand before them.

"...it's a long story. We'll talk inside my house. Now." He said before walking towards his home with his friends following behind him.

Happens next? Is anyone's guess. Only time will tell as the adventure continues.

All was quiet in the Rexton house. So quiet, it's almost like a graveyard. And why wouldn't it? Riddick was seen sitting on his couch with only his pants on with no shirt, while his friends stood before him. Shortly after his battle with Chompoid and returning home through the lake, his friends arrived in time to see him partially transformed back into his human form, which was a big shock to all of them.

And now here they are. Waiting for him to explain everything.

"...I'm sure you're very confused by what you just saw." Riddick said.

"Uh, yeah, that's the understatement of the CENTURY!" Alex exclaims.

"Riddick, what did we just see back there in the lake? How did you end up like…that?" Emily asked in sheer disbelief.

Riddick could see the looks of confusion on his friends' faces. They all wanted answers. Most of all Leona, Misato and Rachel who sat beside him, silently pleading to him to tell them. He sighs softly through his nose. He knew this day would come, and now it's time to face the music.

"You all might want to sit down. This is gonna be a lot to take in."

They all sat down on either a chair, the couch or on the floor while San and the other animals watched and waited for the story.

"It all started a few weeks ago on the day that I went to the beach…" From there Riddick began to explain everything to his friends, of how he became the dark kaiju Rexzilla.

As this went on we turn our attention outside in the forest, where a lone raccoon was seen foraging on the forest floor. The animal was sniffing the ground in search of food when it suddenly rose up when its ears picked up the sound of a rumble. It looks around, thinking that a predator was nearby. Then the ground around it began to shake. Frightened, the raccoon quickly runs as a large tendril bursts out from the ground, wraps itself around a tree and pulls it into the earth. A low rumbling growl was heard along with the sounds of wood being chewed on until all was silent.

We see the fabled city of Narim in a state of chaos as plumes of smoke and fire littered the city and helicopters and jets were flying.

[There is power to overwhelm and destroy the world's most shocking monsters!]

We see the army firing their weapons against a kaiju along with others behind it, as they were tearing the city apart. We see Riddick glaring at the rampaging kaiju before we zoom in on his face with his eyes shifting to slits and the title card appearing below him.

[Kokoro ga shinu yo Jibun no tamerai ga Hikigane ni naru yo]

We see Riddick walking by himself in the city with his friends talking among themselves, when we see his reflection replaced by his kaiju self, Rexzilla as they both gazed at each other.

[Tasukete kimi e to Shinjite kimi kara Moreta koe ni yureru]

We then see Leona, Misato, Rachel and their friends in various angles with monstrous shadowed figures behind them, and a lone figure with two otters on their shoulders, were overlooking the ocean.

[Kiseki wo inorou ka Dakedo higeki wa]

The camera then shows general Garner standing with his soldiers gazing at the viewers, while we see Alan Maroni in his office with a vial of kaiju ooze, with a sinister smile on his lips.

[owaranai kodou Yami no oku de kurikaesu Sakebi, itami, ikari, akui Erabareshi BLOOD TELLER]

We now see a group of people fleeing from the kaiju that were attacking their home, while Riddick calmly walks towards them before being bathed in reddish/purple black flames and was then replaced with Rexzilla who roars into the heavens.

[Nakitakunai, kore ijou aitakunai Moeru itoshisa ga kousashita Ai ni kite nakitakute oikakete Dare ni mo tomerarenai]

Rexzilla was seen fighting kaiju after kaiju, while the military joined in the fray and fired their weapons. All the while Leona and the others watched on as their friend fought with all his might, and Maroni was seen throwing his arms wide open with a large tank of kaiju ooze behind him.

[Kore wa mirai soretomo yume? Kotae wa doko darou? Kore ga ima wo tamesu tobira kowasu no akeru no? Doushi you?]

We see an army of kaiju, aliens, mutants and robots surrounding Rexzilla who was joined with shadowed forms of unknown kaiju, while looming over them was a large shadow of a five-headed dragon-like kaiju as lightning flashed everywhere. Rexzilla's eyes glowed as did his spines before roaring defiantly and fires his atomic breath, as the scene switches over to Riddick, his friends and his kaiju self on top of the title card until everything fades into darkness.

It was now morning in the city of Narim as everyone was going about their usual business. While back at the Rexton household, we see Riddick along with his friends outside of his house. After what happened at the beach with Chompoid and Riddick explaining everything to his friends about how he ended up the way he did, things were very…odd for them.

"So, you mean to say that you came into contact with this…kaiju ooze that you oh-so-lovingly named, and it turned you into a Godzilla-like kaiju, which caused you to lose control, rampaged in the northern region of Narim, came back home after regaining your senses, and then turning into a kaiju again to fight off Vultorra, and decided to fight off whatever monsters come out of the woodwork. And the only one who knows about this is prof. Clarke. Have I left anything else?" Leona said to her boyfriend, recalling everything he told them last night about his sudden mutation.

"No. That was all true. And I'm sorry for not telling you. All of you." Riddick said solemnly.

They all stared at him in total silence and disbelief. This was all so much for them to take in. That their friend, their leader, was an honest to god kaiju. This kind of thing would only happen in science fiction or anime. But this? This was something else entirely.

"I…I don't get it, Riddick. Why did you keep this from us all this time?" James asked.

"To keep you all safe for one thing. And…I was worried that if you found out that I was the one who killed so many people that day…you probably wouldn't want to be around me anymore. Even now, I'm still trying to earn the trust from the people, but I know that many still think of me as nothing but a monster." He said before looking away from them in shame. "So, go ahead. Leave. Call out the army and lock me up. You probably don't want anything to do with a monster like me."

Before he knew it he felt a sharp slap on the face. This caused the other to jump back and Riddick saw it was Leona who was the one who slapped him with her head lowered.

"Leona, what-"

"You dumbass." Her words stopped him from saying anything as a few tears were falling from her eyes. "How could you even suggest that we leave you? That we'd ever abandon you just because of what you can turn into." She raises her head and tearfully glares at him. "Did you seriously think that I would EVER abandon you at all?!"

Riddick could only stare at her in silence when he felt a hand on his shoulder and saw Misato who tried her best not to let any tears out. "Kono yarō. What made you think we would treat you any different? Why? Why couldn't you have just told us from the start?! WE COULD'VE HELPED YOU! BAKA!" She shouted at him till her knees gave out and hugged his arm, tears falling from her eyes and uttering 'idiot' in Japanese.

Riddick felt someone hugging him and saw Rachel holding onto him with tears flowing from her eyes.

"I'm sorry if you think that way, and I'm sorry that my father sees you as such but I know you're doing your hardest to redeem yourself." Rachel sobs into his neck before looking into his eyes. "But no matter what you think we'll never abandon you or think any less of you."

"They're right bossman." Alex spoke up with him and the others walking up to Riddick. "Despite everything that's happened, we're not leaving you to the wolves."

"Yeah. What Alex said." Harvey agrees.

"We've been friends for years now and we always look out for each other. So no matter what, we'll always stick by you." Emily assures him.

Riddick was taken aback by the sheer amount of loyalty his friends showed. He was half-expecting them to really leave him and turn him over to the army and never wanted to see him again, but no, they proved him wrong and banished whatever fears he had. He let out a soft chuckle before pulling Leona, Misato and Rachel into a hug and they returned it. "Thanks guys."

However, their little moment was ruined when Riddick went ramrod and his eyes narrowed when he sensed something. Something within the forest. And it wasn't just him either. San's fur was bristling as she bared her fangs and started growling loudly. Baja and Sly started hissing and Frida's feathers were ruffled as she shrieked loudly.

This caught everyone's attention when they heard the animals acting up and Riddick glaring in the direction of the forest.

"Babe? W-What's wrong?" Leona asked when she noticed his eyes slowly gaining a darkish hue around his red color.

Riddick wordlessly breaks away from Rachel and Misato and walks towards the direction he was staring at before stopping a few feet from his friends. He stood there like a statue when the ground started rumbling. He sensed something coming. Something…from below!

At the edge of the woods the ground erupted, causing everyone to jump back in shock when they saw something rising up from the ground. It was a giant worm rising up to 4 stories with pinkish/brown skin, on its back were 12 tendrils flailing around in the air, it had a strange rib-like carapace which was odd for a worm to even have. Its mouth was circular and filled with four large tusk-like teeth and an inner mouth full of sharp teeth.

"A….A KAIJU!" Alex and Harvey screamed in fright.

Rachel shrieks in shock and fright as she holds onto Misato's arm with both her friends shielding her.

"It's a worm this time." Leona groans in disgust while standing beside her bespectacled friend.

James stood by Emily who was shaking at the sight of the hideous worm before them while the animals stood beside them.

The worm let out a shrieking howl in the air, scaring the animals in the forest and turning its attention towards the young humans, intending on feeding on them.

Riddick let out a low growl as he glared at the mutated worm who dared to trespass on his land. He charges at the worm intending on either driving it away or killing it, ignoring the cries of his friends when they saw him running towards the worm. He shouts while jumping to punch the worm only to be struck by the worm's tendrils, sending him crashing back to his friends.

"Riddick!" Leona exclaims as she, Misato and Rachel quickly run to his side. When she tried to reach out to him she saw him rise back up, growling loudly as the wound on his torso had healed and opens his eyes, which revealed a pair of red and black eyes. She backs away from her boyfriend when his teeth had turned sharp.

The worm roars at him while slapping one of its tendrils on the ground as if to taunt him.

Riddick roars at the worm while ripping his shirt off.

Leona and the girls went back as they knew what would come next.

The red eyed teen's skin started to change to a dark gray/blackish color as scales were forming, his body started to grow and expand while his hair falls off his head, his face twists and contorts as it was slowly turning into a short and semi-elongated snout, he grew and grew before his friends' eyes while his pants were torn to shreds and a long slender but powerful tail grew out and two of his shoulder spines were the only things that popped out. Riddick was now an 18 almost 19 meter tall monster!

He wasn't his full kaiju form however, he was more of a pseudo form of his kaiju self, a more smaller and slender version compared to his gigantic self.

Leona and the others watched in awe from their friend changing into this pseudo form. They knew he could change into his kaiju form at will now from what he explained to them, but they didn't think he could be capable of doing something like this.

Riddick roars at the worm who roars back and flails its tendrils in the air. The shifter then runs at the worm with thundering steps, his pseudo form allowed him to reach the worm quicker as he was much faster in this form. He jumps in the air to avoid a tendril and lands a powerful kick to the worm's head who shrieks in surprise, then he tackles the worm who wraps its tendrils around him as it rises out from the ground. The worm was as long as 2 subway trains which was impossible to measure since half of its body was underground.

The two kaiju were wrestling with each other in the forest, tearing down trees in their wake while the others stayed behind as the chaos unfolds before them.

"C'MON BOSS MAN! KICK THAT THING'S ASS!" Alex shouts over the fight.

"SHOW EL GUSANO WHO'S KING AROUND HERE!" Harvey shouts along with his friend.

This made the other look at him dumbfoundedly.

"El Gusano? Really? That's what you're calling it?" Leona deadpans in disbelief.

"You know that name is taken, right?" Misato mentions a certain mutant worm from an animated show in the 90s.

Harvey shrugs sheepishly. "It was the only thing I could think of. What do you expect?"

The loud roars of their leader caught their attention when they saw him back flipping off of the worm, who Harvey oh-so-lovingly named 'El Gusano' and lands right before them which made the ground rumble from his landing. Snarling, Riddick turns to them. "All of you, get back inside, now!" He said in a growling voice, shocking his friends.

"Wait, you can talk?!"

"GO!"

This was enough for the gang to head right inside Riddick's house as the kaiju shifter glares at the worm who shrieks at him and he roars back at the worm and charges at it once more before leaping in the air and throws a Superman punch right across its face.

The blow to the head was enough to send El Gusano back crashing on the forest floor. The worm then decides to escape through the hole it came through when Riddick immediately grabs it by the tail and was then pulled into the hole with the worm.

Leona and the others saw this happening and all they could do was wait and hope that their friend makes it out ok.

Further away from the Rexton household, just a few miles from the city of Narim we see a helicopter flying over the forest. The helicopter in question belongs to none other than Alan Maroni of Argento Industries, with Maroni himself riding inside it.

"Are you sure this is where the disturbance originated from?" He questions his men.

"Yes sir. Our scanners picked up a very unusual seismic vibrations in this particular spot. It was last recorded yesterday afternoon before vanishing."

Suddenly they noticed huge clouds of dirt and trees flying from the ground as they looked outside and saw several mounds of dirt jolting upward until the ground erupted and then they saw El Gusono, rising up from the ground covered in scratches and claw marks, howling in the air and to their shock and surprise a very humanoid version of the first kaiju himself, Rexzilla!

"What in the hell!?" Maroni exclaims.

Riddick was clawing into El Gusano's back causing the worm to bleed green blood. This made the worm thrash around in order to rid itself of the shifter until it used one of its tendrils to pull him off and throw him. The shifter maneuvers himself in the air and lands safely on the ground. He looks up at the worm who was towering over him as it let out a furious shriek which he roars back, unafraid of the oversized worm.

The humanoid kaiju runs towards El Gusano when the worm started spewing up balls of pure sludge and bile at the shifter. However he easily avoided the balls of sludge and when he was close enough, he jumps at the worm and slashed his claws upward on the torso, spins around and gave a backwards kick, sending the worm crashing on the ground. Riddick lands on the worm and starts slashing its armored torso, this only causes El Gusano to shriek in pain and managed to snare him with its tendrils.

But Riddick sliced through 2 of the worm's tendrils and jumps off as the worm rose back up.

Riddick snarls loudly at the worm as it throws its head back and howls in the air. That was when he noticed a helicopter flying nearby. His enhanced vision allowed him to zoom in and saw that it belonged to the Argento Industries, and Alan Maroni himself was inside the vehicle. 'Maroni? What the hell is he doing here?' He didn't have time to think of the man's reason for being here as he was tackled by the worm who tried to devour him. The shift quickly managed to hold its fangs while digging his feet into the ground.

Riddick grits his teeth as the worm howls in his face while pushing him back. That was when his eyes glowed a familiar dark purple and he fires his Dark Haze vision into the worm's mouth, burning its inner mouth. The worm howls in pain which only grew louder when Riddick tore off its larger tusks. He throws them aside before giving a few good punches to the face and then jumps over the worm's head and buries his claws in its neck.

The shift then started to pull on El Gusano's neck with all his might as he let out a loud roar and violently tore the worm's head off.

Blood erupted from the stump as the worm's head flew off and gave one last howl before the life faded away.

Riddick throws his head back and roars in victory which echoes in the air. Then he looks over his shoulder to see the helicopter that is Maroni's still flying in the air. He could easily see the CEO having a rather smug look on his face which made the shifter glare and snarl at him. Then he runs straight for the hole he and El Gusano came from and dove right in. Vanishing from the CEO's gaze.

Maroni clasp his fingers after witnessing the humanoid kaiju fight and kill the worm before diving into the hole whence it came. "This is a rather…interesting turn of events."

After returning from fighting the worm and given a new change of clothes, Riddick told his friends what he saw during the fight.

"WHAT!? You saw Alan Maroni, the CEO of Argento Industries himself?!" They all exclaimed in unison.

"More like in his helicopter, but yeah, I saw him watching my fight." Riddick said before deadpanning at Harvey. "And also, El Gusano? Really?"

Harvey only chuckles while rubbing the back of his head sheepishly under his friend's gaze.

"Still though. What would Maroni be doing there in the first place?" James ponders.

"I'm sure he was investigating the strange rumblings that may have been caused by El Gusano." Emily guessed.

"Whatever it is, it can't be good." Riddick said with his hands clasped together. "I noticed something about him when I saw him in his chopper. I don't know what, but my instincts are telling me that he's up to something. Something bad."

The room was silent the moment Riddick mentions this. They've known Riddick for years and when he says his instincts are warning him, they know it's serious.

"It's best if we keep our eyes on him from now on."

(Later)

A week had passed since the revelation of Riddick's kaiju self to his friends as well as how he became Rexzilla. To compensate for keeping his secret from his friends, Riddick allowed his friends to choose what they want to do with him. James, Emily, Harvey and Alex didn't want that and already forgave him for not telling them. Leona and Misato however took full advantage of this and made Riddick spend the whole time with them and go one dates, even dragging Rachel along as well, much to the bespectacled girl's embarrassment.

Despite their little peaceful moments, it was not to last forever.

The sounds of sirens were heart as the police, SWAT and military vehicles were seen racing across the street towards the biggest mall in Narim; the Ambient Square Mall. Reason being is that it was under siege by a whole mob of mutated jumping spiders. Unlike other mutations, these spiders were roughly the size of full grown adults, still they were a dangerous threat and needed to be dealt with.

Several vehicles had stopped just outside the boundaries of the mall, as the walls were crawling with nearly 90 or more spiders.

The screams of the panicked civilians were heard as they ran past the soldiers and policemen who were approaching the blockade as the sounds of gunfire and explosions were heard. At the scene was general Garner and beside him was major Logan Ferrus, a man in his mid 20s with an olive skin tone, strong build, black buzzcut hair and dark green eyes.

"What's the situation major?"

"It's bad sir. We've got about a hundred or so spiders infesting the place and there are still people trapped inside the building." Ferrus reported.

"Then we need to take care of this spider problem and fast!" Garner exclaims.

That was when a spider lands on a car near them, causing the men to jump back in surprise. The spider bared its fangs as it roars at them with its massive eyes gazing at its prey.

"Shoot it!"

Garner and his men brought out their guns and started shooting at the spider before it could jump at them. The spider was pelted with a hail of bullets before it finally died. The sounds of more shrieking spiders were heard as they saw more of them coming.

"Open fire!"

The soldiers, the SWAT units and police force all fired their weapons at the spider swarm. Some spiders made it through and killed a few soldiers or policemen in the fight, but the soldiers kept on firing their guns. Garner was firing his M249 SAW machine gun while Ferrus was using a Heckler & Koch UMP. The general heard one spider shrieking loudly and turns to see one jumping at him before he could even react.

Fortunately, something else did. Just before the spider got him a car came flying at the spider, crashing into it and killing it instantly. This caught the attention of the general, major as well as the soldiers and policemen as they saw various items being flung over them and striking the spiders. From cars, fire hydrants, stop signs and even some sewer lids. Each one killing the spiders one by one.

General Garner and the others were all stunned by what they saw and were confused as well. Just who was it that was throwing all those at the spiders?

Then the sound of thundering footsteps were heard from behind them. They all turned only to see a blackened figure rushing at them and then leaping over 10 feet above the barricade. They saw the figure rolling into a ball before they landed right on top of an unlucky spider, crushing it under their weight which got the other spiders to see them. The figure rose on their feet and all the soldiers saw was a lone person dressed in a black hoodie with blue jeans, black combat boots with metal studs on them. When the figure turned they saw that the person was wearing a mask over their mouth and wore a pair of polarized goggles.

Garner and Ferrus could only look at the person dumbfoundedly when the general snapped out of his trance. "Hey, you! What do you think you're doing? Get the hell out of there now!"

The person just ignores the general and turns back at the spiders who were advancing on him. He then takes a deep breath and just as the spiders were about to pounce, he let out a loud and powerful roar that sent out shockwaves in the air.

The roar was loud and powerful enough to stop the spiders which made them freeze like statues. Some were even shaking with fear as their fight or flight instincts were taking hold. Even the soldiers and policemen suddenly froze from the power of the roar. The roar itself was the roar of an alpha predator, and it was on the hunt.

The figure charges at the spiders and gave a strong kick to one in the face, effectively killing it and sending it flying at its own kind. This caused the spiders to lunge at the figure but the person easily swatting them with frighteningly ease by quickly spinning to kick a few and throwing a punch, a chop or backhand with enough force to not only send them flying but kill them.

The person then rushes at another jumping spider and grabs it by the front legs and drove his knee under its sternum, breaking through it and causing blood to pour out. He tosses the dead spider and ran his elbow in the face of another spider that came up from behind and performs a backwards spinning kick to another that jumped at him.

Another spider shrieks loudly as it jumps for the person, only for the person to quickly turn and caught its leg and then slams the spider over and over again on the street and using it like a bludgeoning weapon against its fellow spiders. After throwing the dead spider away the person then jumps over the spiders and landed beside a stop sign embedded in the body of a spider. He rips it out and spins it around like a staff before charging at the swarm.

General Garner and the others all watched in awe and slight horror as the person was slaughtering the spiders as though they were nothing to him. The guy was fast, strong and dangerous from what they saw. Then they saw a dead spider flying straight at them and they all duck as it flew over them and crashed right near a drainage vent.

The person then runs straight for the mall while some of the surviving spiders were barely hanging on from the onslaught.

"I don't know who the hell that guy is but he just gave us an opening. All forces commence the assault now!"

The soldiers and policemen all started firing at the weakened spiders as they were now advancing on the arachnids.

Inside the mall there were several people who were trapped in stores from the webs as well as those encased in webbing as they were either being preserved for later or were already dead from being bitten from the spiders. The people were all whimpering behind the glass doors as the spiders tried to force their way inside. The sounds of thundering footsteps caught their attention as they turn and saw the person charging at them with a pair of glowing red eyes behind the vizor.

As the assault on the mall was raging, we see the blood of the spider oozing into the vent and landing into the water. The blood suddenly shifted back into the same glowing purple fluid that is kaiju ooze and traveling through the waters, being sucked up into a plumbing system and being forced into a building's water filtering system.

Somewhere in another part of Narim we see Misato Fujitora walking down the streets towards the eastern region of the city where a small town was located, her hometown Hashitoro. Hashitoro is a piece of Japan in the city of Narim, being a mixed cultured city each region has its own little piece of a different country.

With school being over for the day as tomorrow was Saturday, it gave the young Asian girl a chance to plan for her next date with her boyfriend, Riddick who she found out was the kaiju Rexzilla. Never in her whole life would it be like a kaiju movie, especially with her boyfriend being one who looks almost exactly like Godzilla.

She, her fellow girlfriend Leona and their friends often watched the many kaiju movies with Riddick from time to time, as well as Gamera, Ultraman and others. It did hurt her and Leona that their boyfriend had kept his secret from them, even if it was out of fear of them leaving him. She thought he was an idiot for thinking they would ever abandon him least of all her and Leona and Rachel.

While she and Leona may share him they are aware that Rachel has a major crush on him but is too shy to even speak up. Both of them care for her and hope to help her with her feelings.

Misato was singing to herself in Japanese with a pleasant smile on her lips as she was coming up to a Japanese themed house. She walks passed the front gate with a small pond of koi fish, a few cherry blossom trees and a fountain with a bamboo chute collecting water and pouring it out. She rings the doorbell before opening the door. "Tadaima! (I'm home!)" She called out in her native language.

The sound of footsteps were heard as a woman in her late 20s was seen coming into view. Like Misato she was also of Japanese descent with a lighter skin tone, same eye color as her daughter with black hair that reached her mid back and tied up into a tail, wearing a white shirt with an apron on and a pair of yellow pants that hugged her legs and a moderate double G-Cup bust. This woman's name was Misaka Fujitora, Misato's mother.

"Oh, Okaerinasai (welcome home), Misato-chan." Misaki smiles as her daughter came up and hugs her. "How was your day?"

"It went well. I was able to ace my test as well as my friends." Misato informed her mother while pulling out her report and showing 100%.

Misaki's smile grew even bigger. "I'm glad you and your friends aced it, Watashi no chīsana kitsune (my little fox)."

"Okāsan, I'm not little anymore." Misato pouts with a small blush. Then she walks by her giggling mother as she enters the living room where a man in his early to mid 30s was seen on a lounge chair. He had short bluish/black hair with some gray in it, wore glasses with almond brown eyes, a short beard, a gray shirt and blue pants.

His name was Genjo Fujitora, Misato's father and Misaki's husband. He was seen reading a newspaper and smoking a pipe with the TV on when he felt someone tapping on his shoulder. He looks over and smiles when he saw his daughter presenting her report.

"Tadaima, tōsan (I'm home, dad)." Misato said to her father.

"Misato, Okaeri! (welcome back!)" Genjo said while hugging his daughter. "I see you've passed your test. Well done my dear."

Misato giggles as her father rubs her back when she noticed the TV showing the news and breaks away from the hug. The logo of NCN was seen as the news anchor was going over the assault on Ambient Square Mall, as the helicopter showed the carnage of the spiders, the army fighting them and a lone figure dressed in black easily destroyed them before heading for the mall, clearing out the rest of the spiders and freeing the trapped civilians as several soldiers and medics arrived at the scene and the black figure leaped away at an inhuman pace.

"Ah, it's terrible. Those spiders were crawling all over the place and killing so many people. It's bad enough that we now have real life kaiju, much less a Gojira look-alike, now we have smaller kaiju to deal with." Genjo groans while rubbing his head.

Misato didn't pay attention to her father as she was more focused on the dark figure. She knew that it was Riddick dressed up that way to keep his identity a secret while heading over to the mall. Just as school was over is when his enhanced hearing heard the commotion and he had to head over to the mall. And from what she just saw it looks like everything's under control now.

She then got a text from her phone, pulls it out and saw the first message was from her fellow girlfriend Leona.

Leona: Did you see the news? Babe just kicked those spiders' collective asses!

Emily: Thank God he killed those spiders. I absolutely HATE spiders!

Rachel: I'm just glad he saved those people. It's still sad that not many of them made it, but I'm also happy that he helped my dad.

She got similar replies from James, Harvey and Alex, complimenting on how 'cool' or 'badass' Riddick was during the fight with the jumping spiders. Misato felt proud of her boyfriend's deeds in helping the people despite what happened to him when he first transformed.

She was last seen in the upstairs bathroom with the water running and dropping some bubble bath balls in the water. Before she could undress herself, she heard her phone ringing, she saw it was from Riddick and quickly answers it. "Moshi-Moshi? Riddick-chan, I just saw the news. Are you ok? You're not hurt or anything?" She said into the phone.

As she was speaking with Riddick, she failed to notice glowing purple fluids flowing from the faucet and into the bathtub which was hiding under the cloud of bubbles.

"Ok, I'll see you tomorrow for our next date. Sayōnara" Misato said after giving a quick peck on the phone and ending the call. She was humming to herself again while she was rinsing herself off with the shower hose before she jumps into her bath, unaware of what was mixed into the water. Once she was finished, she went into the bathtub with a sigh of bliss as the heat from the water masked the burning sensation of the ooze.

(Saturday)

It was a lovely Saturday morning in Narim as the many citizens went about their daily lives. People enjoying their days off from work and or school, or young people going to hang out with their friends or head for parties.

We see Misato dressed up in a lovely yellow sundress with a few flower petals flying across the bottom and wearing a light blue short-sleeved jacket. She got a call from Riddick saying that he'll meet her at the fountain near Quarts Central Station at 4:00.

After having her breakfast and bidding her parents goodbye, she took the bus to get to Narim and continued on foot. Misato was walking by some buildings while humming a song from her favorite anime shows. "Ah. I wonder where should we have our date this time?" She said to herself. That was when she suddenly saw some unsavory characters stepping through an alley.

"Hey there sweet thing. Going somewhere?"

"If you're looking for a good time we know a great place where we can have lots of fun."

The men before her had the stereo street thug or biker clothing and the looks they had on their faces sent shivers down Misato's spine.

At the Quarts Central Station, Riddick was seen standing beside the large water fountain dressed in a black leather jacket, dark red shirt with a black dragon breathing black fire and a pair of jeans. After the fiasco at the Ambient Square Mall with those spiders and helping the soldiers and policemen yesterday, as well as calling Misato to let her know that he was ready for her turn for their next date. Riddick had to take turns dating Leona and Misato as a form of 'punishment' for keeping his kaiju half a secret from them. Even Rachel had to have him take her on a few dates for it. Much to the girl's embarrassment.

Still though, he can't exactly say he hated it. He loves those two and Rachel is a sweet and kind girl. He still remembered that day he saved her from those bullies back when they were kids. If anyone or anything so much as hurt her he'd make them suffer for it.

He looks at his watch which reads 3:50. Almost 10 minutes for Misato to show up. "Huh. She should've been here by now. It's not like her to be running late. She's usually earlier than I am at times." He utters to himself.

He looks around the station to see people going about their peaceful and daily lives despite the attacks from the kaiju everything appeared to be alright. That is until…

BOOM!

The sound of explosions and a column of fire erupted from a few blocks away from the station, catching Riddick's attention as he gawks at the pillar of fire. "What in the?!" He exclaims in shock as the sounds of the alarm rang through the air. He narrows his eyes as his binocular vision zooms past the buildings and his hearing picking up the citizens screamed in frantic panic as he then saw another kaiju had suddenly appeared from the fire and begun attacking the city.

Marching through the city was a gigantic fox-like kaiju, roughly about 60 meters tall on all four legs, it had a bright red fur with white at the bottom, it had 9 long tails making it around 190 meters long from nose to the tip of its tails, its forelimbs had 3 blade-like spikes and five clawed hands. Interestingly enough the upper torso was almost humanoid in shape as it had a pair of breasts under the tuft of fur. And its eyes were a blazing yellow color with bright orange markings on its eyes.

The fox kaiju stood on her hindlegs, reaching around 80 meters tall and howls in the air.

"Tsk. Great. Just fucking great. Can't I catch a break for one measly day?" Riddick snarls and then takes off to a random direction.

The sound of helicopters and fighter jets were heard as they rained missiles upon the fox, causing explosions to erupt from the kaiju. This causes the fox to scream in a frenzy as she snaps at the jets with her fangs. A few managed to slip by while some weren't so lucky as she caught one in her jaws and crushes it, along with her hands and her tails. Snarling, the fox then jumps high enough in the air and lands on top of a building, the roof crumbles beneath her but it still stands tall. She throws her head back and howls in the air as the tips of her 9 tails suddenly ignited with fire and then she shoots them from her tails, sending them flying at every building while unleashing a torrent of fire from her mouth.

The rain of fireballs crashed on several buildings as the fires were spreading through the streets, killing several unfortunate people.

The fox looms over the top of the building as the sea of fire danced before her. Her face twisted as a snarl escaped her mouth, her fangs bared as the military was gathering around and evacuating the fleeing people. And yet for some reason there were….tears flowing from the fox's burning yellow eyes. She throws her head again and shrieks loudly as the general could see her from where he stood.

"Dammit. When will this nightmare ever end?" Garner said to himself as Ferrus walks up to him. "Is the whole section of the city cleared out?"

"Yes sir. We managed to get all the civilians out in time. ETA on reinforcements are on their way." Ferrus informed him.

The sounds of heavy ground vehicles caught the general's attention as they saw several large vehicles hauling massive satellite dish-like weapons.

"The prototype maser cannons?"

"Yes sir, we managed to get them operational. As you said they're still prototypes, but they should be enough to help fight the kaiju." Ferrus said with full confidence.

"Considering that we're living in an actual kaiju event, we're gonna need weapons like those. Hell, we might as well build our own Jaegers at this point." Garner grumbles.

Then the sound of another explosion caught their attention and then…

"SSSSSKKKKKKKKRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNKKKKKKKKK!"

The familiar roar of a certain kaiju was heard and they saw said kaiju seemingly rising from behind some buildings a couple of blocks from the fox.

Garner grits his teeth with a sharp exhale. "Rexzilla…he had to show himself again."

The jets and helicopters all flew into the direction as the two kaiju stared at each other. The fox let out a furious roar as Rexzilla roars back while running through the buildings. As much as he didn't want to, he had no choice. The best he could do is try and get the fox kaiju out of the city where there'll be less damage and less casualties.

The fox growls at the dark kaiju and then jumps from the building and using the others like stepping stones, leaping from one building to the next until she jumps off one and soars straight towards Rexzilla with her fangs and claws bared. The fox went to grab Rexzilla by the throat only for the dark kaiju to grab her wrists and then tosses her into a building beside him.

He glares at the cloud of dust from the crumbled building when the fox lunges at him and sank her fangs into his shoulder.

The dark kaiju roars in pain and surprise as the fox clung onto him, burying her fangs deeper as she slashed her claws into his side. Growling, he uses his tail to slither around and wrap the tip around her neck and constrict her, forcing the fox to let go of his shoulder. Rexzilla then swung her around with his tail and sent her flying across the city and crashing into some buildings.

"What a disaster! What the hell is that overgrown lizard thinking?!" Garner exclaims in anger and disbelief. "Are the masers in position yet?"

"Yes sir! They're already awaiting your orders."

"I don't care what the people say about that lizard, fire on both of them!"

Rexzilla stomps towards the fox who was getting up from the pile of builds under her when twin bolts of lightning struck her side, causing her to scream in surprise and pain.

The dark kaiju growls in shock. 'What the?!' He then roars as he too was struck by 2 more bolts of lighting. He snarls as he turns to where the attacks were coming from and to his surprise he saw 4, 6 familiar looking cannons aiming right at him and the fox. 'Masers?! They actually built maser cannons!?'

The dishes on the cannons all glowed as a stream of lightning was fired from the tip of the cannons and struck both kaiju, with Rexzilla blocking the masers with his arms and the fox writhing from the pain.

"It's working, keep on firing!" Garner shouts into the radio.

The prototype masers, the N2-Type 80s, continued their assault on the two kaiju. Rexzilla was faring better due to his scales whereas the fox wasn't as she lacked the same protection he had. The fox screamed and howled as the lightning was burning her skin but it only made her angrier. Her eyes glowed brightly as she lunges at one of the masers and bites down on it, destroying it and the drivers.

The other 5 remaining masers were pulling back while firing at the fox, but it was for naught as the snarling fox unleashed a powerful fireball at one and destroys it in a blaze.

'No!' Rexzilla charges at the fox and grabs her from behind with his arms looped under hers and his hands behind her head.

This only caused the fox to scream louder as she was thrashing around in his grip. Fire suddenly ignited around her and was bathing both of them.

'Dammit! This fox's feistier than a regular animal. I gotta get her out of here before she really runs rampant!' Rexzilla inwardly thinks to himself. 'For that matter…her scent…why does she smell like….Misato?' His train of thought was broken when the fox swiftly struck him in the eyes with her claws, forcing him to release her and mule-kicks him away from her. The fire dissipated when they were separated and the fox started running from him.

General Garner saw the fox running and brings up his radio. "All chopper units commence fire! Do not let that overgrown fox escape!"

Several AH-64 Apaches were seen flying over the buildings firing their missiles at the fox. The missiles made contact as they exploded against the kaiju's body. The fox snaps at them as the tips of her tail shoot fireballs at them. Causing them to scatter with only a few shot down.

Ahead were 4 M270 MLRS, a few M1 Abrams, and several HMMWV with gun torrents on them. They were prepared for when the fox kaiju made her way towards them which she did when they heard the thundering footsteps from the kaiju. When she came into view from around the corner of some buildings a few blocks from them, they unleashed a hail of bullets and missiles at the fox.

The fox roars angrily at the soldiers and surprised them by jumping on the buildings to her left and leaps to the ones on her right, using her agility she was leaping from the buildings in a zig-zag formation until she jumps over them and rolls in the air before landing back on all fours and continued running.

As the fox was running she was blindsided when Rexzilla surprised her with a tackle from out of nowhere and the both of them were rolling and crashing into some buildings. The dark kaiju shook his head while the cloud of dust was fading. 'Got you now! Huh?' He suddenly felt something round, big and soft underneath him and heard the fox yelping.

When the dust settled it showed Rexzilla looming over the fox who was pinned beneath him and his left hand was actually on her right breast. The two of them stared wide eyed as the fox had a furious look on her face with a hint of pink on her snout.

'...I did not expect this to happen.' Without warning his hand unconsciously squeezes her boob which made the fox gasp in surprise. 'Crap!'

The fox lashes out by scratching Rexzilla's face and tackles him while shrieking loudly and pinning him on the ground and started punching and clawing at him in a frenzy.

Rexzilla was blocking her attacks as best he could. But the fox wasn't letting up. Having had enough of this, Rexzilla's eyes glowed purple and fires his Dark Haze vision at the fox's face which made her shriek in pain and holds her snout, then he punches her across the face and sending her flying back.

The fox let out a pained whimper and saw the lizard slowly getting back up. She took this chance to run before he could attack her again, softly whimpering along the way.

Rexzilla shakes his head of cobwebs and saw the fox had ran off. To where? He doesn't know. 'Dammit! She got away.' He chided himself. His hearing picked up the sounds of helicopters and jets approaching along with the four remaining masers. Not in the mood to be shot at, Rexzilla took off running through the street which was wide enough for him to not plow through the buildings and leaps into the ocean at the nearest harbor.

General Garner slams his fist against his jeep in anger when he saw the kaiju escaping. "Dammit, they got away!" He snarls. He quickly turns to Ferrus with a heated expression. "I want all available units to keep an eye out for those two kaiju! If they see either the fox or the lizard, shoot them on sight!"

"Yes sir!" Ferrus salutes.

"And send in search and rescue. We need to look for any survivors, ours and the civilians that didn't make it out."

The sounds of sirens, jets and helicopters rang through the air as many people were evacuating from the city. Hiding behind a lone building was none other than Misato wearing only a tarp and her hair a mess with a few soot marks on her body. Her face had the look of shock, fear and horror. Her body was shaking like an earthquake when she saw the plums of smoke in the air from where Quarts Central Station was. A tear or two fell from her eyes as she quietly moves back and ran straight home.

It was around late afternoon when Misato finally made it back home. She slowly opens the door, looks inside and notice she heard nothing, meaning her parents must be out. Misato quickly goes inside and locks the door and walks past the living room and kitchen when she noticed a note.

'Misato-chan, your father and I are heading out to the southern part of the city, we'll be back in a few hours. Mom.'

That made the girl relax a little as her parents weren't anywhere near where the…the fighting began. Still, she couldn't help but shake as she made her way up to her room, and the moment she did she slides down against her door as tears began flowing from her eyes. She buries her face in her hands and let out an anguish cry of sorrow and guilt. "...o-oh, God…what have I done….what did I do!?"

Memories of what transpired earlier came rushing back to her.

Misato was seen backing away as the thugs were pressing on.

"C'mon, don't be like that. We ain't gonna hurt ya…much."

The first guy said with a lewd chuckle which was enough for Misato to start running.

"Hey!"

"Get back here!"

She ran through the alleyway hoping to lose them. Don't get her wrong, she knows some martial arts, but not nearly as well as Riddick who has years behind him. Plus she wasn't sure if there were anymore hiding around, so she had to leave and find help fast! Just as she was about to turn around the corner, she slipped on some greasy water and fell with a yelp. Then she felt a pair of hands on her back as she saw there were 4 more men in hiding.

"Lookie here boys. A stray cat wandered into our midst."

"Damn, she looks so fine. I bet she'll feel good too!"

Misato was crying out and struggling to break free as some of the men were tearing her clothes off. Her mind was a hurricane as tears were flowing from her eyes. Her heart was racing like an engine as her vision suddenly went dark and then…

Screams. Screams were all she heard as her vision briefly returned. She looks around to see herself in the alley with a bright glow and an intense heat surrounding her. She looks around to see…bodies. Bodies of the would-be rapists splattered on the walls while some were burned to a crisp. Then she saw one man still alive. He was covered in blood, half of his face was burned and his right arm was gone as blood squirted from the stump.

"...p-p-p-please….h-have m-mercy….have mercy on me…." The man begged her as he was suddenly terrified of her.

Mercy? Mercy!? When he and his friends tried to defile her when only her boyfriend Riddick can touch her?! Her anger suddenly went through the rough as she was engulfed in flames and let out a furious howl and everything went black again. Then she suddenly hears sirens, helicopters, jets and more screams. Then she felt something pushing against her and suddenly grabbing her chest and lashing out at whoever dared to grope her. In the midst of her assault she regained consciousness and to her shock and surprise, she was looming over none other than Rexzilla himself!

'R-RIDDICK!?'She inwardly cried out.

That was when she saw his eyes glowed purple and fires his Dark Haze vision at her, causing her to cry out in pain and felt him punching her across the face. When she landed next to a building, she suddenly saw her reflection. Only to see it was a giant fox staring at her. 'Is…is this me? Oh God…' A sudden realization hit her like that punch from her boyfriend. Somehow…someway…she became a kaiju! Looking back at her boyfriend who was getting back up she let out a whimper and suddenly runs away from him, and after finding a perfect place to hide she somehow changed back to normal right then and there.

Those people…she killed all of those people in her blind rage. Her hands covered her mouth as she rushed to the bathroom and then vomited violently in the toilet. The number of people she killed was too much for her to bear as she coughed, wheezed and heaves in the toilet. The moment she was done she was leaning against the bathtub hugging herself, crying in shame and guilt for killing so many people and reducing much of Quarts Central Station into a mess.

'I…I can't believe it…I killed so many people…Riddick-chan…now I understand how you felt when you first transformed…' Misato hugged herself tighter as her tears continued to flow like a broken dam. "Gomen'nasai….Gomen'nasai….Gomen'nasai…."

(3 days later)

It had been 3 days since the fox kaiju's rampage and parts of the city were still being rebuilt from the fight between the fox and Rexzilla. More people had not only lost their homes and businesses but also their friends and loved ones during the fox' attack. Not only that but Misato had not been to school for 3 days since the attack and none of the gang had seen her.

Riddick was seen standing just outside of the Fujitora household having decided to visit his second girlfriend after a shocking revelation to his friends.

(Yesterday)

Nearly everyone except for Misato were all gathered back to Riddick's home after the end of the school day, Leona, Rachel and the others were seen in Riddick's living room sitting around him as he wore a stone faced expression.

"Ok babe. We're all here like you asked." Leona said, gesturing to herself and the others.

"Yeah boss, what's the sitch?" Harvey questions.

Riddick only stares at his friends who were waiting for his explanation. He let out a small sigh through his nose as he clasped his hands together. "You all remember my fight with that fox kaiju near Quarts Central Station, right?"

"You mean that flaming fox? Yeah. No one's picked out a name for it." Alex mentioned, having seen the news of the fox 3 days ago.

"The name isn't the issue. It's the scent from it I picked up."

This made everyone look at him in confusion. "Scent? What do you mean?" Emily asked.

"During our fight. The fox had a rather familiar smell to it."Riddick said, having recalled smelling the fox during their fight in the city. It had been eating away at him for a while, but he wasn't sure if it's really true or not.

"What did it smell like?" Rachel inquiries.

"...it smells of cherry blossoms."

The moment he mentioned that made everyone feel a little uneasy about what he was thinking of. "B-Babe…you're not seriously suggesting…" Leona couldn't even finish her sentence as the slowly rising worry and dread rose.

"Only one way to be sure, Leona. I need to pay Misato a visit. Whether she likes it or not."

(Present)

Riddick lets out a small sigh before ringing the doorbell. He waited until he saw the door opening and saw Misato peeking through the door. "...h-hai?" She whispers so softly.

"Misato it's me."

Misato gasps before fully opening the door and lunges at Riddick, wrapping her arms around him like a lifeline.

"Riddick-chan!" She exclaims into his shoulder, trembling like an earthquake.

Riddick was taken aback by her behavior but returns the hug to calm her down. When he did he softly smelled her, taking in her scent. It was the same cherry blossom smell he knew well…and yet…he could also smell the faint odor of…smoke and ashes on her. As well as…blood.

They were seen inside the living room with Riddick sitting on the couch and Misato bringing tea for them. "Here." She said while handing him a cup. "My parents are out again so…so it's just me here." Misato sat down beside him while he sips his tea.

"Misato…what happened? For 3 days you haven't come to school or even answered our calls. Not since that kaiju I fought." Riddick questions her. "You had us worried, me the most, so please…tell me what happened?"

Misato was silent as she stared into her cup, her head hanging and her hair dangling over her head. "...I was on my way to meet you after getting off the bus…then I got cornered by some men who came out of an alley…I tried to get away and they…they…"

Riddick's eyes narrowed into slits and his nails slowly turned into claws. A low, rumbling growl escaped his lips as he knew what she meant.

"They ambushed me with more of their friends…and pinned me on the ground…they went to tear my clothes off when I screamed and cried out for help…and…I blacked out…" She explains as a tear or two fell from her eyes, recalling those men attempting to violate her and her…her sudden change and what she did to them. She felt a hand on her shoulder and saw Riddick with an apologetic expression.

"I…am so sorry for not hearing your cries, Misato. If I had I would've come running to you and killing those…animals for trying to lay a hand on you." He lowers his head with his eyes closed. "I'm sorry."

Misato could hear the sincerity in his voice and can tell how hard it is on him for not helping her. Her eyes suddenly glowed a bright yellow as her nose could pick up his scent. Her heart was slowly thundering as her…primal instinct was slowly taking over. She slowly pulls his head and rams her lips on his, pushing him back on the couch and pinning him under her. Arms wrapped around his neck, she assaulted his mouth as her tongue rolls all over his, she broke the kiss with a gasp to lick around his lips before shoving her tongue back in and grinding her lower body on his lips.

Riddick was shocked by her sudden boldness. He knew both Misato and Leona are often forward with their love for him and he loves them as well, but they promised to take things slowly until they were ready for the next step, and what Misato was doing was not like her at all. He grunts through the kiss when he felt something sharp against his tongue and could taste blood in his mouth. The he felt something sharp running across his skin and knew something was definitely wrong. He quickly rose back up and breaks the kiss with a loud gasp between him and Misato, both were panting as he saw her eyes glowing yellow, her teeth were fangs and her nails were claws.

Misato stared wide eyed as her senses were slowly returning to her and Riddick was staring at her fangs and claws.

"I knew it." His words made her heart almost stop when he got closer. "You're a shifter…like me…meaning…you were that fox I fought back in Quarts Central…weren't you?" He asked her. "Misato, please, be honest with me…as I was honest with you and the others."

The dam was broken as tears flowed from her eyes as she buried her face in her hands. "I'M SORRY!" She wept into her hands. "I'M SO SORRY RIDDICK!"

Riddick could hear the pain in her voice. Like him, she too lost control of herself and the guilt was now eating away at her, like how it was the same with him when he attacked and killed those people.

"W-W-When I blacked out…I-I could hear screams….I saw there was blood and body parts everywhere…and..and I saw one of those men injured and pleading to me for mercy…" Misato explains through her sobs. "I…I…I was angry, mad, furious! They wanted to put their filthy hands on me and I wanted to kill them for it…and…and then I saw the city for a brief moment. It was on fire, people screaming and crying as I was looking over a building for some reason and blacking out again…and then…I saw you, your kaiju self beneath me and then you shot your lasers and punched me across the face and then….I saw my reflection on a building and saw what I become."

Riddick sat there listening to her story once more.

"When I saw what happened to me…and the things I did…I ran! I ran from you, the people and our friends…" She then looks at him with red, puffy eyes as tears continue falling. "I was so afraid of what I did..and afraid of what you all would think of me. I know you told me the same thing before…but..I-I couldn't…" Misato then felt a sharp pain through her body, causing her to spill her tea as she wraps her arms around her.

"Misato?" Riddick said when he saw a few sparks of flame appearing on her. "Misato, you've got to gain control. Focus, don't let this take hold of you!"

"I….I CAN'T!" Misato shouts as she accidentally shoves Riddick back with her hand sprouting fur and the rest of her body. Her ears turned into that of a fox while a tail or two grew from her waist. "I…I am s-so sorry….R-RIDDICK-CHAAAAAGGGGHHHH!" She let out a growling roar as her face shifted into that of a canid.

Riddick could only watch in shock as Misato's partial transformation was taking over. She quickly rushes for the door, opens it without tearing it off and runs out into the streets jumping from building to building.

"MIIIIISSSSSAAAATTTOOOOOO!" Riddick cried out to her as she vanishes from sight. "Shit!" He closes the door behind him and took off after her using his enhanced agility to jump from building to building to chase after her. Pulling his phone out he quickly dials Leona's phone number and waited for her call.

"Leona? It's me, I just confirmed my suspicion. Misato is that fox kaiju I just fought 3 days ago, and now she's on the verge of changing again! It looks like she's heading southward, away from the city, I'm gonna try and snap her out of it before she loses control again!"

(Elsewhere)

At the military compound just located north outside of Narim, general Garner was seen with Ferrus overseeing the repair of the N2-Type 80s and the construction of the newer models. Even though they were prototypes, the N2-Type 80 maser cannons proved effective against the fox, but against Rexzilla they needed a much stronger one.

"It won't be long now until we have more and more weapons like these to help combat the kaiju, unlike the movies, we won't be that helpless." Garner said with absolute confidence.

"If you say so sir. But we still don't know where these creatures came from or how they even became what they are." Ferrus said to his superior. "There's still so much about them we don't know."

"One thing at a time, major. One thing at a time. We'll figure out who or what made these monsters and stop them before things get out of hand." Garner said with a steely look in his eyes. That was when he felt his phone vibrating and pulls it out. "General Garner speaking… What? The fox is back? And Rexzilla's after it?!" The general's grip on his phone tightens as Ferrus overheard him and saw him gritting his teeth. "W-Well, where are they heading? What, the old abandoned port yard? That's good we'll take care of them there."

He hangs up his phone and turns to Ferrus. "Major, mobilize our forces immediately. I want the functioning N2-Type 80s to head out along with whatever ground troops and air support we have on hand. We're not letting this chance slip by us again!"

"Yes, sir!"

(Insert Date A Live-Ground Zero)

In the depths of the ocean a large and dark figure was seen lurking across the ocean floor. The sounds of explosions and roars were heard from above as a pair of 6 glowing green eyes were seen along with a few tendrils flailing in the water.

On the surface near the abandoned port, fire and explosions were seen as Rexzilla was fighting Misato in her kaiju form once more.

Rexzilla was seen grappling with Misato who was snarling and snapping her teeth at him, her eyes glowing brightly as the sun itself as her kaiju instincts were taking over. 'Dammit! I gotta find a way to snap her out of it before she heads back to the city.' Rexzilla twists her arms and throws her over his shoulder, sending her crashing into an old warehouse. 'I'm really sorry about this, Misato.' He looks around to find something he can use to subdue her which gave Misato the chance to tackle him with a growl. Both kaiju were rolling across the ground, crushing anything in their path, however Rexzilla was able to roll on top of Misato and pin her hands to the ground.

This angered the fox as she shrieked and howled loudly with fire erupting from her, thrashing violently to break free from his hold. The dark kaiju grits his teeth to bear the heat even when she unleashes a torrent of flames in his face, he would not break his hold.

'Stop struggling Misato. You're making this harder on yourself!' Rexzilla inwardly exclaims, only to shriek in surprise when they were struck by a volley of missiles and energized lightning. He looks over his shoulder to see jets, helicopters flying overhead and those maser cannons from a distance. 'Great.' He did not need the military or Rachel's dad getting in the way again. That was when he felt himself being pushed back by Misato who then pounces on him and would've bitten his neck had he not grabbed her wrists again and stood over her.

With the assault of missiles, maser fire and Misato's screaming roars and flames, it was enough to push Rexzilla over the edge. 'ENOUGH'S ENOUGH!'

Taking a deep breath he unleashes the loudest roar right at the fox's face.

"SSSSSKKKKKKKKRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNKKKKKKKKK!"

The force of the roar not only made the fox freeze like a statue, something…unexpected happened.

"MIIIISSSSAAAATOOOOOOOO!"

The fox let out a gasp when she actually…heard Riddick's voice calling out to her in her mind!

"...R-Riddick…?" The blazing glow in her eyes faded and all that was left were her normal yellow eyes as Rexzilla had finished roaring at her.

Both kaiju stared at each other with Rexzilla's expression softening as he lets go of Misato who had some trouble standing. "...y-you heard me, right?" He asks in surprise.

Misato slowly nods, still absorbing the fact that she heard him in her mind. "H-Hai…I heard you…calling my name."

"Telepathy. Never would've imagined that being possible." He said while shaking his head. Then he saw her falling on her hands and knees, which he reaches out to her.

In one of his helicopters, General Garner and major Ferrus saw everything happening before them. "What the hell's going on now?" Garner said with a flabbergasted look on his face. "First they're fighting each other and now that lizard's…"

"Concerned about that fox?" Ferrus finishes with his jaw hanging. Suddenly, at the corner of his eye he spotted a huge shadow appearing under the water. "General, look!"

Garner turns to the water and didn't like what he saw. "Oh, what is it this time?!"

(Insert  Godzilla vs. Biollante-Godzilla 1989)

The surface of the water was churning and both Rexzilla and Misato sensed something coming and turn to the ocean to see the water bubbling. Then numerous tendrils erupted from the water along with a gigantic brown/white conical shell. And rising from the water was a gigantic snail with 6 eyestalks and a circular mouth with rows of sharp teeth.

"A snail?!" Misato exclaims.

"A cone snail to be exact." Rexzilla corrected her.

Both the General and major saw the snail crawling out from the ocean shrieking loudly in the air with its tendrils swaying around. "All forces commence firing now! I want that overgrown escargot on a silver platter, now!" Garner barks at the radio.

Both shifters heard the sound of jets flying and firing their missiles at the cone snail, along with the helicopters and the masers firing at the gastropod. The cone snail shrieks in annoyance from the military's attack and swung its tendrils at the helicopters and jets, some evaded while a few were struck down. The cone snail rears its head and spat out a large greenish glob at the tanks below, it made contact which caused the vehicles to melt.

Rexzilla growls and fires his Dark Haze vision at the cone snail's tendrils, slicing off a few which made the snail cry out in pain. "Misato, I know you're new to this, but I'm gonna need your help with this one." Rexzilla said.

Misato nearly did a double take when she heard him asking for her help. "Y-You want me to fight with you? B-But…what if-"

Rexzilla gently took her hands into his and stared deeply into her eyes. "Misato, you have to. I know you can do it. You must learn to control your new abilities or else you'll lose control again. And the only way to learn control is on the battlefield." He assures her before lightly nuzzling her face.

Misato's cheeks turned pink with a small gasp. He has complete faith in her to control her powers and is willing to let her fight beside him, even after all the trouble she caused 3 days ago. She gains a determined expression and nods. "Alright. I trust you, Riddick-chan."

Smiling, the dark kaiju faces the cone snail with Misato by his side and both of them roar in unison and charges at the gastropod.

The snail shrieks back and fires more globs of sludge at them and swung its tendrils at them.

Misato's tails fired multiple fireballs at the tendrils and sludge balls, while Rexzilla fires his atomic breath at the snail. The cone snail retreats into its shell as the beam and fireballs struck its hard surface which hardly made a scratch on it. Misato howls as she jumps at the snail's shell and starts clawing at it, while Rexzilla swings his tail to crack the shell. This angered the snail as it uses its tendrils to ensnare Misato and lifts her from its back.

"RIDDICK!" Misato cried out.

Rexzilla saw this and glares angrily as the snail emerges from its shell and harpoons him with its tendrils, piercing his hide and his left hand. Rexzilla roars in both anger and pain while blasting the tendrils to pieces, starting with the ones holding Misato above. The fox yelps as she fell and lands on the snail's shell. She then jumps off before the tendrils could grab her and put some distance between herself and the snail.

She saw Rexzilla pulling out the tendril in his hand as well as the rest from his body. She unleashes her fire breath to provide cover while Rexzilla fires his atomic breath. The snail retreats back into its shell as both attacks explode upon contact. And like before, it did nothing. This angered Rexzilla to the point his spines glowed and lightning danced around them. His eyes narrowed as the rumbling sound of his spines were heard, he opens his mouth and unleashed not his atomic breath but a powerful burst of pure sound straight for the snail. The sound wave completely shook the air around the dark kaiju, forcing Misato to cover her ears as well as any soldier in the vicinity.

The shockwave grew into a high oscillatory frequency that when it made contact with the shell, it completely shattered it and destroyed half of the snail. The cone snail shrieks in pure agony from the loud high frequency shockwave that destroyed its shell and ruptured most of its insides.

Rexzilla ceases his assault and stares at the result of his attack. The snail moaned pitifully in pain as its insides were exposed. It hardly had the strength to do anything when the squad of helicopters hovered around it. Taking this chance to leave, Rexzilla softly growls at Misato and motions her to follow him. The fox briefly looks back at the snail before following her boyfriend.

"Sir, Rexzilla and the fox are leaving. Should we pursue them?" Ferrus asked.

Garner merely shook his head. "No. Let them go. They just softened that snail up for us, so let's put it out of its misery."

With the order given the entire military unleashed a combined assault on the snail, who shrieks even louder as the missiles, bullets and maser cannons attack its broken shell.

The General grumbles under his breath before glancing at the retreating forms of Rexzilla and the fox kaiju. "...that damned lizard. Don't think for a second that we'll go easy on you or your new friend next time."

It was around the afternoon by the time the army had finished the cone snail or 'Shellizer' as the media oh-so-lovingly call it. We turn our attention to the Rexton household, where Riddick and his friends were seen in the living room with Misato sitting on the couch, wrapped in a robe and holding a cup of green tea.

After receiving the call from Riddick earlier, Leona had called the others and told them everything, when she got the call from him again and told them to meet him and Misato at his home, they quickly rushed over to his home were they saw both Riddick and Misato emerging from the lake. And now here they are, surrounding their distraught friend as their leader sat beside her with Rachel sitting on Misato's right.

They all had been told what happened to her before she became her kaiju self, and they were stunned to learn what triggered her transformation.

"Misato…I'm…I'm sorry you had to go through all that." Emily said to her friend.

"Grrr, bastards like them make me sick." Alex gritted his teeth in anger. "They should count themselves lucky they're dead, otherwise I'd break their necks after beating the shit out of them." Harvy nodded in agreement, both jocks have a serious dislike for rapists who force themselves on women.

Even James had a look of anger in his eyes as his friend was almost preyed upon which forced her kaiju half to take hold and destroyed half of Quartz Central Station. He couldn't even begin to comprehend the mental and spiritual pain she's going through. 'Just like Riddick when he first turned into Rexzilla.'

Rachel had her hand on her friend's shoulder as she wore an empty expression. She wrapped her arms around Misato who let out a shuddering breath and leans against the bespectacled girl.

Leona got on her knees and held her harem-sister's hands. "Misato, what happened 3 days ago wasn't your fault. You had no control. It was those…men who tried to violate you and made you change like that." She said with a disgusted tone in her voice. The thought of her harem-sister being taken by some perverted animal and treated like their plaything made her blood boil. Sure, they tend to fight over Riddick from time to time, but Leona really cares for Misato and to see her in pain tore her heart. She wrapped her arms around Misato as she began to cry in her and Rachel's embrace.

Riddick tenderly placed his hand on her head and gently rubs her hair. "Misato, I swear that I will do everything in my power to help you learn how to control your powers. Times will be hard and the things you've done won't go away, but the least you can do is make amends by protecting Narim and its people from those who wish them harm." Riddick said to her as she continued to cry. He then wraps his arms around all three of them as the poor girl cries out her pain and her guilt.

James, Emily, Alex and Harvy all lowered their heads in silence. Even San and the other animals lowered their heads as Misato continued to cry.

In a different part of the states, a large truck with the Argento industries logo on the side was carrying a huge cargo behind it to deliver to a secret facility in the area. A bump on the road jolts the vehicle which caused a small opening on the trailer's door to open and something flew out into the woods. It was a metal canister with glass on the side revealing it to be a can of kaiju ooze.

The canister bounced across the ground, rolled down a hill and plummets into a lake. There was a small crack on the canister as the ooze was seeping into the water. Then two shadowy figures were seen swimming by and noticing the canister. The figures turned out to be 2 Asian small-clawed otters, a male and a female.

The two otters looked over at the canister curiously as they swam through the glowing purple cloud. They were seen carrying the canister on their back to the surface as a person was seen walking towards the edge of the lake.

"Hey there Romeo, Juliette. Did you enjoy your swim?" The person said as they kneel down and on their shoulder was a male barn owl. The person saw them carrying the canister on their backs. "Hey, what's that you got there?" They reached out and grabbed the canister which got some of the ooze onto their hands.

Things are only getting worse from here on out.

Finally, I thought it would take forever for me to get this 3rd chapter done, but here it is. Finally, up and running. Now, I'm about to take a break from story writing, and read one of my books which is the first book of the Apex Predator series by David Meyer, and like before I will read 10 chapters at a time until I reach chapter 20. Chapter Text

Somewhere located just outside of Narim, we see a large dam holding back a massive amount of water and nearby was the hydroelectric power plant, however, deep within the dark waters behind the dam, a low whaling sound was heard as flickering eyes appeared and sparks of electricity flashed before fading.

(Insert opening theme; Future Diary, Blood Teller)

We see the fabled city of Narim in a state of chaos as plumes of smoke and fire littered the city and helicopters and jets were flying.

[There is power to overwhelm and destroy the world's most shocking monsters!]

We see the army firing their weapons against a kaiju along with others behind it, as they were tearing the city apart. We see Riddick glaring at the rampaging kaiju before we zoom in on his face with his eyes shifting to slits and the title card appearing below him.

[Kokoro ga shinu yo Jibun no tamerai ga Hikigane ni naru yo]

We see Riddick walking by himself in the city with his friends talking among themselves, when we see his reflection replaced by his kaiju self, Rexzilla as they both gazed at each other.

[Tasukete kimi e to Shinjite kimi kara Moreta koe ni yureru]

We then see Leona, Misato, Rachel and their friends in various angles with Rachel's kaiju form, Kyubikami behind her and monstrous shadowed figures behind the others, and a lone figure with two otters on their shoulders, were overlooking the ocean.

[Kiseki wo inorou ka Dakedo higeki wa]

The camera then shows general Garner standing with his soldiers gazing at the viewers, while we see Alan Maroni in his office with a vial of kaiju ooze, with a sinister smile on his lips.

[owaranai kodou Yami no oku de kurikaesu Sakebi, itami, ikari, akui Erabareshi BLOOD TELLER]

We now see a group of people fleeing from the kaiju that were attacking their home, while Riddick calmly walks towards them before being bathed in reddish/purple black flames and was then replaced with Rexzilla who roars into the heavens.

[Nakitakunai, kore ijou aitakunai Moeru itoshisa ga kousashita Ai ni kite nakitakute oikakete Dare ni mo tomerarenai]

Rexzilla was seen fighting kaiju after kaiju, while the military joined in the fray and fired their weapons. All the while Leona and the others watched on as their friend fought with all his might, and Maroni was seen throwing his arms wide open with a large tank of kaiju ooze behind him.

[Kore wa mirai soretomo yume? Kotae wa doko darou? Kore ga ima wo tamesu tobira kowasu no akeru no? Doushi you?]

We see an army of kaiju, aliens, mutants and robots surrounding Rexzilla who was joined with shadowed forms of unknown kaiju, while looming over them was a large shadow of a five-headed dragon-like kaiju as lightning flashed everywhere. Rexzilla's eyes glowed as did his spines before roaring defiantly and fires his atomic breath, as the scene switches over to Riddick, his friends and his kaiju self on top of the title card until everything fades into darkness.

Within the forests of Narim, we see 2 figures dashing through the forest as a dense fog fills the woods. Jumping from tree to tree was Riddick Rexton, aka Rexzilla. The young shifter jumps from the last tree and lands into a clearing within the forest of his property.

He stood still as the fog moved through the forest. His eyes and ears kept a sharp lookout. Suddenly…

"Hiya!" Misato suddenly appeared behind Riddick from above to strike him.

Riddick easily avoids her attack and backs away as she quickly rushes at him, her hands gaining claws and her eyes glowing a blazing yellow. Both were in a heated sparring match as fists and kicks were thrown at one another at lightning speed too quick for the naked eye.

With each blow it was like a small explosion going off. It was enough to frighten many of the animals in the forest as the two continued their sparring match.

Misato threw in several punches and a few kicks but they were each blocked or parried by her boyfriend, until he struck her with a powerful blow from his elbow to her abdomen, sending her flying back and crashing into a tree. Misato held her stomach as her wounds were healing from the blow. She growls under her breath as her golden eyes saw Riddick suddenly rushing at her. Yelping, she rolls upward till she lands on the tree and jumps even higher as Riddick's punch demolishes the tree, causing the base to explode into splinters.

Misato was on another tree branch as the tree before her falls with a crash. She knows all of the many martial art styles her beloved Riddick learned years ago before the whole kaiju event happened. Karate, Muay Thai, Bajiquan, Kenpō, Judo. And that was only the tip of the iceberg. Those combined with his now enhanced strength as a kaiju shifter made him even more dangerous.

Though she and the others know a thing or 2 about martial arts, none of them are at the master level as Riddick.

Misato was brought out from her train of thought when her instincts alerted her to a broken log heading straight for her. "Tch." She clicks her teeth and then punches the log into pieces. "That all you got, Riddick-chan?"

"No."

Misato gasped when she sensed him behind her! She tried to turn around but it was for naught.

A loud banging sound was heard and all was quiet.

Riddick stood before Misato who was on the forest floor, sitting next to a tree and nursing her aching head. "Itai!(Ow!)" She utters under her breath.

"You're getting better at handling your new powers. But it'll take some time before you really get the hang of them." Riddick said to her.

"Hai."

The sound of rumbling thunder drew Riddick's attention as he looks up to see the clouds becoming rather gray and gloomy. "We better get going. It'll probably rain soon and we don't wanna be late for school." He turns to leave while Misato barely looks at him with her eyes covered and a toothy fox-like grin appears.

As Riddick walked he heard Misato shouting and felt her colliding into him, landing onto his shoulders with her whole body bending over to meet his red eyes as her fox tail was suddenly out and her ears popping out.

Misato let out a cute giggle as her eyes were more like her kaiju self's with her ears twitching.

"...Misato. What're you doing?" Riddick questions as he walks through the forest.

"What's it look like? I'm hitching a ride." Misato said with a smile like it was no big deal. Her tail was lightly wagging behind as she rode on Riddick's shoulders.

"I can see that but why are you riding on me?"

"After that fight I'm feeling pretty sore right now."

"You got a healing factor. I'm sure you can handle a walk back home." Riddick tells her with a straight face.

"Nope!" Misato said before hugging his head to the point her boobs almost blocked his eyes. "I want you to carry me back, Riddick-chan. You owe me at least that much after what happened before."

Riddick sighs softly but did nothing but let her ride him. A week had passed since the incident with her first transformation into her kaiju self, Kyubikami, the 9-tailed fox god. Of course it took some time for Riddick, Leona, Rachel and the others to help counseling and comforting her to help the distraught girl. Riddick especially had to help her with her mental health due to the guilt of her first rampage eating away at her. Just like it did him a month ago. Since then he's been training her to learn how to harness and control her kaiju powers, so she won't have the same problem like before.

Although, since becoming a kaiju she's become even more open and forward than before. Most likely due to her animal instincts.

We now turn our attention to Crystal Star Valley as the rumbling sounds of thunder echoed and the students and faculty members went about their lives. Inside Professor Clarke's classroom, everyone was taking a break for now before the class resumed their study.

Riddick was seen sitting at his desk with his friends close to him after moving their desks closer to his.

"So, how's her training coming along?" James asked.

"Good for the most part. Misato still needs to get the hang of her heightened agility and such." Riddick said. "Plus, her reaction time needs some improvement."

Leona and Rachel looked at Misato who held her head as they let out a small giggle while she muttered under her breath in Japanese.

"Overall, she's getting good." Riddick smiles at her direction.

That put a sense of relief in the gang. They knew that Misato was probably still having nightmares about what she did, but they were there to help her through it. The sound of rumbling thunder caught everyone's attention. They looked out the window and saw the clouds getting darker and a few flashes of light. "Jeez. That storm's looking mighty angry today." Harvey said, leaning back on his chair.

"No kidding. Just before I left for school, the power in our house went out." Alex mentions.

"Same here. My mom and dad just called and told me that our house's power just went out when I was heading for the bus stop." Emily said.

The others all mentioned that not just their homes went out but several buildings in and around Narim went out a few times. Even during their time in school the power went out a few times before staying on.

"Now that's really peculiar." Riddick said with a thoughtful look.

Rachel had a worried expression. "You…you don't think this will be a repeat of 3 years ago, do you?"

The others all tensed when she mentioned the event.

3 years ago, before the whole kaiju thing became real, all of Narim's power had been going on and off numerous times. The power went off for 2 days before turning back on. Then it went off for nearly 2 weeks. But then suddenly the power went out completely, for nearly a whole month, even 2 at most. That event was known as the Great Blackout. It had been a nightmare for the people of Narim. With no power for almost 2 months, everything was hard for them until the power had finally come back online. Strangely enough, the incident only happened during thunderstorms, especially the one that hit their city during the Great Blackout.

Suddenly the lights in the classroom started flickering, getting everyone's attention until the power went out. The students all clamored quietly to one another as Riddick turns outside the window to see the lightning flashing again. His eyes narrowed into slits as his kaiju instincts were telling him something was wrong.

Even Misato could sense it in the air. Her eyes briefly glowed as her instincts went off just like Riddick's.

Then the door opens and Professor Clarke himself enters with a flashlight. "Goodness. This has been happening a lot recently." He said.

"Professor Clarke? What's going on with the power?" Riddick questions their teacher.

"I'm not sure. Hopefully the power company will have this resolved soon." Prof. Clarke answered before he remembered something. "Although, Riddick. I had just gotten word from the principal. He said that you have a visitor who requires your…special skills."

All eyes turned to his direction, even his friends' gaze fell upon him.

Riddick wordlessly nods, stood up from his chair and was about to leave when he felt a hand on his. He turns to see a worried Rachel who held his hand. He gave a smile and lightly pats her hand, his way of telling her he'll be fine. After she lets go, Riddick walks towards the door and exits the classroom to head for the principal's office.

The young shifter eventually made his way to the principal's office and knocked on the door.

"Enter."

He opens the door and enters the room where the principal was seen sitting at his desk. His name was Travis Starling, he was around mid to late 30s with some gray in his hair, a few wrinkles, light skin tone and dark green eyes.

"You wanted to see me?"

Travis looks up from his papers and smiles. "Ah, Riddick. Glad Prof. Clarke sent you here. You have a visitor." He said while gesturing to another person in the room.

Riddick turns his gaze to see a woman in her early 20s, wearing a black business suit with a knee-high skirt, black short heels, a modest bust, brown hair tied up into a small bun, pale ivory skin tone and wore black glasses.

The young shifter blinks when the woman turns to him.

"Riddick, this young lady here is the one who specifically requested your aid."

The woman gets up from the chair and gave a slight bow. "It's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Sarah Smith." The woman greets the young man.

Riddick simply nods back. "Same." He walks over to the other chair before Sarah and sat down. "Now then. To what do I owe this visit exactly?"

Sarah grabs her bag and pulls out a small card. "I'm on contract with Power Management to oversee the investigations. Regarding the city's power issues." Sarah explained as she hands Riddick the card.

Riddick takes the card and saw her name on it and a very familiar logo on the upper right corner. It was an angelic looking sun with four angel wings with a cursive M on the surface. 'Of course, only they would send someone like her to ask me whenever they have problems.'

"So, you're with the Paradigm district, huh? Long way from paradise." Riddick said after handing Sarah her card back. "There have been a lot of power outages from what I heard, ever since this storm started. People are saying that we might have another Great Blackout like the one from 3 years ago. Don't they, Miss Smith?"

Sarah only gave a ghost of a smile at the young man's words. "Do you have any idea where Narim gets its electricity from, Mister Rexton?"

Riddick gave a slight frown and his eyes narrowed at the woman.

It was silent in the principal's office until the lights which were out started flickering until they came back on.

"So, how may I be of help?"

(Later)

(Insert-Houston St- The Big O OST)

Just outside of Narim, a lone car, a black Ford F-150 Raptor with some reddish tint was seen driving outside of the city's border. Inside the truck was Riddick driving behind the wheel heading for his destination.

Where was he going you ask? Before the whole kaiju situation became real, Riddick had a single job: being a private investigator, a detective and negotiator. Unlike most teens his age who have either part-time or full-time jobs at fast food joints, grocery stores and such, Riddick chose to create his own business that suits his needs. And so he became his own private company of being a detective, investigator and negotiator. Helping to keep the peace in Narim by solving mysteries, stopping bad guys and making sure both parties were on agreeable terms.

He gets his payment from various clients who ask him for help, with him being his own private business, he can go to places that the police wouldn't or can't go to.

And now with him as a kaiju shifter he can use his new abilities to solve cases even faster.

As for where he's heading, his new client Sarah, a secretary from the Paradigm district, asked for his service to look into the matters of Narim's power problems. She told him of a hydroelectric power plant just outside of Narim is where much of the city gets its power from. Though a decade ago it went offline and had remained unused for years, but according to her sources, it suddenly came back online.

There was also a small city near the power plant, Hydro city it was called. And apparently the residents of the rundown city where the plant is located are obstructing the Power Company, trying to redevelop the area.

It's not like Riddick to even accept any job from those from Paradigm. That particular district of Narim is often referred to as a 'piece of Heaven' on Earth. However, it's not the best place to be. The rich and elite folk tend to treat the lesser folk very poorly, often thinking they're above everyone else. Even treating their own workers like slaves. No one outside of the Paradigm district would even want to live in that supposed paradise. But because of the city having these blackouts, especially that event from 3 years ago, Riddick had no choice but to accept the job. But in all honesty, he wanted to find out the mystery of what caused that black out and find the one responsible for it.

It didn't take him long to see the sign 'Welcome to Hydro City', meaning he was nearly there. The sky above was getting darker as the sun was setting and the clouds were getting darker. He kept on driving on the road which leads to the dam itself, the source of the city's power.

Riddick saw the city itself. It wasn't nearly as big as Narim but it was still big enough to hold at least 4,000 people. Though the city was completely dark. There weren't any signs of power being on. No lights. Nothing.

He drove his truck in front of a smaller sign with the same greeting as the larger one from earlier. He shuts off his truck, got out and walks by the sign. He noticed it was a little colder out as he could see his breath. "Now where's that power plant?" He said aloud.

All he saw was water being held back by the dam. He noticed a tower to the far right where the road goes on and a bridge connecting the road to the tower. Most likely that is where the power plant is.

"There you are." He utters.

It didn't take him long to reach the bridge and stops before a gate. He saw that it was wrapped in chains and a lock keeping people out. 'Whoever chained this up definitely didn't want anyone entering.' His kaiju senses picked up a group of people behind him and turns around in time to see the locals approaching him, carrying candle lanterns and some with rifles. Which were aimed at him.

"You must really hate electricity, don't you?" Riddick asked with a straight face.

They didn't answer him but gestured to him to follow them.

Later, Riddick was seen in the city surrounded by a large gathering of people, all of them wearing warm or heavy clothing, carrying lanterns as they all surrounded him.

"What's the matter with you? Doesn't anyone here even understand what I'm saying?" Riddick said to the people of Hydro city. "Or are you just gonna continue the silent game?"

Then a man approaches from behind the others as they part ways. The man was in his mid 20s with a strong build, a gruff looking face with a beard and head full of black hair. "We understand you kid." The man spoke out, catching Riddick's attention. "Call us primitives if you wish. But there's a reason for all of this."

Riddick blinked twice before narrowing his gaze.

(Later)

The young shifter was seen walking by himself back on the road on the dam after hearing what the leader of the people had to say to him. Apparently, there's a 'god' who lives somewhere in Hydro city, and will 'reign down his lightning of wrath' on the people. This 'god' is said to give off powerful lightning when he's angry and will strike down those who even dare attempt to use electricity which is why they shut everything down.

Riddick was a Christian believer and he knows that there are no other gods, and even if they were real, he wouldn't even fear them.

Though the people in Hydro city were deathly afraid of something.

Ever since he arrived here his kaiju senses have picked up something in the city. It was putting him on edge. He openly smells the air for whatever was giving that strange sensation, but the smell of the water was making it hard for him to pick up a scent. Then he noticed the lights in the tower was on. Coming to a halt, he focuses his enhanced vision to see someone at the window before moving to the side and turning off the lights. "Something's going on here. There's no signs of the tunnel being destroyed." He looks to his right and saw a cliff right next to the bridge. "It's connected underground?" Then he noticed a light above the cliff, his vision zooms in and saw a cabin house with smoke from the chimney.

Riddick was trekking up the forest that leads to the cabin by the dam. The sound of crunching leaves and rocks under his feet was heard as he made his way to the cabin. The cabin was a decent sized home roughly 1 story cabin with its own deck on the side. Riddick's ears picked up the sound of movement in the woods, meaning the owner of the cabin was watching him.

Still he continued his investigation. He walks around the cabin till he noticed a stairway leading down to a door.

'This is it.' Then he hears movement again from the owner of this house. A ghost of a smile appeared on his lips. 'Cute.'

The person who was watching the young man entering his property was hiding behind a tree clutching his shotgun. When he looks around the tree his heart suddenly stopped when he saw the trespasser was gone! The owner slowly steps out with his gun aiming randomly trying to find the young man. Unaware that he was being watched.

In the trees, Riddick had silently jumped into the air with his enhanced ability and landed in the trees near the owner who stalked him. So, he decided to make himself known and jumps down silently behind the man. "You know."

The man nearly jumps and turns to see Riddick leaning against the tree.

"It's rude to be stalking someone. Especially if you don't know if they're friendly or not." Riddick said to the owner as he finally got a good look at him.

He was a man in his mid 50s, he was slightly hunched over with light skin, wearing red plaid with overalls, his face covered in a white beard and mustache. His head is half bald with hair on the back of his head and a patch of hair on the top.

"It's also rude to be trespassing on private property." The old man said while keeping his shotgun trained on Riddick.

"Peace, sir. I'm not here to cause trouble." Riddick told the senior with his hand raised to show he meant no harm. "I'm a private detective seeking answers."

The old man blinks in surprise before easing his stance. "A detective?" He said. "A little young to be playing detective, aren't we?"

"I assure you sir; I'm a full-time detective." Riddick digs into his pocket, pulls out his wallet and shows the man his license as proof. "I'm hoping you could help me with something."

The old man blinks before letting out a sigh. "Well, no use staying out here in the cold. Come on in. We'll talk in the morning."

It was now daytime in Hydro city. Riddick was seen carrying two buckets full of water for his host, Robert Beeman was his name. The young shifter enters the cabin as Robert was sitting at the table holding a cup of coffee. Riddick carries the buckets to a large cauldron and dumps them inside.

"So, you were asked by those of the Paradigm district to see what was going on and try to fix the problem?" Robert said while sipping his coffee.

"Well, technically they wanted me to figure out what was stalling their plans to redevelop the plant for them." Riddick answers after putting the bucket down. "They couldn't care less if Narim had any power or not as long as their district functions."

Robert gave a slight scowl. He had pure distaste for those in Paradigm. Like virtually everyone in Narim, those in Hydro city despised them as well.

"Besides that."

The old man turns to see Riddick already cooking for both of them. "My real reason was to find out what caused that blackout 3 ago. That was of my own accord by the way." Riddick said over his shoulder.

"The Great Blackout of 2019. I remember that." Robert murmurs. "The whole city went dark for almost 2 months. Way before the whole monster ordeal." He sips his coffee again. "I remember watching those kaiju flicks in my younger days. Never would've imagined they would end up becoming reality."

"You and everyone else." Riddick said after scooping up bacon and placing them on two plates. "By the way. How come you're living up here alone and not with the others in the city?" He inquires while frying eggs next.

Robert had a surprised expression before dropping it. "Not to sound rude or anything. But that's really none of your concern."

"My apologies. Just my curiosity as a detective. Seeing as I'm not doing so well with negotiating." Riddick said after serving the scrambled eggs for his host.

The old man grabs his fork and begins to eat while Riddick joins him.

Riddick had spent the day helping Robert around the house, fetching him water, fixing a few things, that sort of stuff. Then Robert told him to take some time off while he goes to chop some firewood, saying that he shouldn't do everything for him. Riddick was seen watching the old man chopping wood outside the house often patting his lower back. This gave the shifter a chance to look around the house. It was a rather cozy home, with another room that was the laundry room, a bathroom, everything a person needed for living on their own.

As he walked across the main living room the sound of the wood floor creaked when suddenly the floor made an odd creaking sound.

"Huh?" He stops. He looks down at the floor and the green rug. He narrowed his eyes as he stared at the rug beneath his feet. Riddick then taps the floor beneath the edge of the rug then moves his foot over to his other foot and taps on the rug, which made a hollowed sound. He got off the rug and folds it which revealed a hidden wooden door. "Bingo."

Riddick grabs the metal handle and pulls the door open and saw a stairway leading down to a hidden room. He lowered his head to look inside and what he saw surprised him.

The room looked like a laboratory of sorts. And it was a mess. Papers scrambled everywhere, glass shards on the floor, dust everywhere, tools in disarray. Everything.

Riddick descends into the lab and walks up to the table where he spotted a clipboard with images of blood and magnified tissue. "Marine biology, physiology and genome analysis." Riddick said as he looks over the notes. "This ain't no ordinary facility." He flips the paper when something fell out and landed on the floor. He bends down and picks up what appears to be a photo of a young Robert Beeman in his mid to late 20s, standing before various fish tanks. He flips the picture and saw that it was dated in the year of 2009.

He then noticed a very large tank with the glass broken. Riddick narrows his gaze as he connects the pieces to this puzzle. Just then, a humming sound was heard as the machinery in the lab came to life, and electricity sparked between the two power rods atop of the tank.

"What the hell's going on here?" Riddick said, his kaiju instincts were going haywire as something was rousing up a commotion from outside the house.

Lightning erupted from the machinery forcing Riddick to duck before a stray bolt could hit him. He quickly ran back up the stairs. "Did someone connect the power?" He then slams the trap door to block another bolt of lightning and runs through the front door, only to see Robert wasn't chopping wood. Then his hearing picks up a haunting whaling sound from the dam.

Robert was seen at the edge of the cliff, pale as a sheet as he stares at the water with a look of dread when he heard that sound from the dam.

"Robert!" Riddick called out as he ran up to the old man. "The power…" The shifter turns his attention to the water as the moaning sounds grew louder.

"Somebody must've started the turbine." Robert said as his hands shook. Then he turns to Riddick and grabs him by the shoulders. "You had friends here, didn't you?" He shook the young man in accusation, believing that he had someone with him all along.

Riddick shakes his head as he removes Robert's hands. "No! I don't. I came here alone." He assures the distraught elder. "I'm not working with anyone." Then he looks to the side of the house with a knowing look.

Both arrived at the other entry way below the house and saw that the door was opened and the lock broken.

"This guy's good. Whoever they are." Riddick commented. However, there was a faint odor in the air leading down the stairs. It smelt…familiar.

"I have to stop the turbines!" Robert exclaims and would've rushed down the stairs had Riddick not stopped him. He turns to face the teen. "If I don't hurry something terrible will happen!" He told Riddick with urgency in his voice.

"I suggest you leave this to me, sir. After all, we younger folk have to help our elders." Riddick said to placate Rober. "Whoever did this is clearly a professional." Then he narrows his eyes at the elder. "A pro-researcher like yourself should understand that."

The old man's heart skipped a beat and his eyes nearly widened from what was said before lowering his head.

Riddick gave a brief smile to him. "You just stay here and let me handle this."

Robert lets out a sigh of resignation and hands the young shifter a flashlight.

Deep underground was a series of stairways leading down to the tunnels under the dam that connects to the power plant. An eerie sound rang in the cold, dark tunnels as the sounds of footsteps were heard. A light was seen in the darkness as the person holding it was a woman wearing a dark blue, skintight jumpsuit.

Just then, another flashlight turns on and blinding the woman. She backs away with her hand raised as the person shining their light was Riddick.

"So, it was you all along." He said with a neutral look. "I should've known that a lapdog of Paradigm would follow me from the city. You were just using me, Miss Smith."

The woman lowers her hand to reveal herself to be Sarah Smith, the woman who hired him yesterday. She gave a sly smile as Riddick walks up to her. "Not bad mister negotiator. Thanks to you, I was able to find the perfect route."

This made Riddick narrow his gaze at her. "I thought I told you I don't take jobs from anyone from Paradigm, least of all people who think they can use me."

Sarah gave a small 'hm' while reaching into her exposed cleavage. "You've already done what I wanted you to do." She pulls out a small card and holds it out. "And then some."

"Let me guess. You don't really work for Power Management, Smith. If that's even your real name." Riddick said while the older woman walks up to him and placed the card in his shirt.

"For the time being, just call me Zira." The woman said with a smirk. "As for your first question, no. I work for someone more…influential. The one who's really in charge of Paradigm. I'm sure you know who I'm referring to."

Riddick's face nearly fell and his eyes almost bugged out of their sockets. There was only one person he knows who's in charge of the Paradigm district, one person who he absolutely despises in the entire world.

"...of all people. You. Work. For HIM?!" Riddick growls at her in utter disgust when she mentioned 'him'.

Suddenly, the tunnels was filled with the same whaling sound, catching their attention when they stared down the tunnel Zira came from. Then a glow was seen until the pipes on the wall was bathed in electricity and racing down the tunnel.

"GET DOWN!" Riddick exclaims as he pulls Zira to the ground, shielding her from the electricity until it was gone. He got on one knee and hardened his expression as he looks at the other end of the tunnel. "The Wrath of God."

Then a loud rumbling shakes the tunnel and streams of water burst from the pipes and ceiling.

"Let's go!" Riddick said while holding Zira's hand and dragging her out of the tunnel.

"Why is this happening? All I did was reactivate the turbines!" Zira said with pure shock on her face.

"Did it ever occur to you that maybe those turbines were shut down for a reason?" Riddick retorts.

Soon they made it out of the tunnel and back up on the surface, however Riddick noticed something was off. He ran up to the edge of the cliff with Zira catching up while panting from the running. "Where'd the old man go?" He said aloud.

"Who? What old man?" Zira asked. Then she saw something and she stretched her arm out, which Riddick followed.

In the waters of the dam a series of glowing lights were seen under the surface of the water, and the air was filled with the same whaling sound. The creature was swimming towards the dam as Riddick and Zira watched on.

Back at the city, the people gathered at the edge, mutters of worry and dread were heard. The leader of the people was pale as a ghost. "Oh no. He's gone and started up the turbine." He said, believing that the young shifter was the one who did it. He looks up to see the clouds above growing thicker. "What has that fool done?"

The humming sound of the power plant was heard at the dam as the creature could sense the power from the plant and was seeking it. It swam near the surface with only a row of six dorsal spines cut through the water like a shark as it swam towards the dam.

Both Riddick and Zira were seen running down the path, while keeping their eyes on the kaiju in the water.

"The hell is that? Nobody said anything about there being kaiju here." Zira said.

That was when it hit Riddick. 'That lab. And that giant tank. Robert….he created a true, genuine kaiju. Just like in those sci-fi movies.' He was taken out of his thoughts when the water erupted. He and Zira stopped and saw the kaiju.

It was a gigantic eel, stretching out about 90 meters long, with blackish-yellow leathery skin, bioluminescent markings on its body, a single long fin on its back, the six dorsal spines near the head and it had six glowing yellow eyes, 3 on its side and a face similar to that of a moray eel.

The eel let out a hissing roar in the air as Riddick and Zira stared at it. "What is…that?" Zira gasped while Riddick's pupils turned to slits.

The eel's mouth suddenly glows and electricity rang down from the sky and into its mouth. The markings on its body glowed as lightning danced around it. Then more electricity was drawn from the power plant and into the eel's mouth. The kaiju begins to feed on the energy unopposed.

Then Zira started running down the path which caught Riddick's attention. "Hey, where the hell do you think you're going?" He called out.

"This thing has nothing to do with me! My job is over." Zira yelled over her shoulder.

"But wait, it's too dangerous!"

"I have a car!"

Riddick blinks before letting out a sigh. "Honestly." He then turns his attention back at the eel with a steely look. "Can't this thing roam freely." He then starts running down the path for the dam.

The eel kaiju continued its feast while moving closer to the top of the dam where Riddick was seen running on. The young shifter heard a car's horn and saw Zira driving up beside him. "If you survive this somehow, let's get together sometime." She said before driving away.

Riddick only snorts. "Don't count on it." He said before running to the edge of the dam where the water was and jumps over the edge and dives into the water.

Zira continued driving on the dam when the eel noticed her car, sensing energy from it. The kaiju slithers across the water till it catches up with her, which Zira saw this and yelps in fright. She presses the gas pedal to go faster to escape. But the kaiju had other plans. It opens its toothed maw and fires a bolt of lightning at the car. Zira screamed in pain as electricity raced through her and completely drained her car of power, forcing it to come to a halt. Zira was leaning on her wheel having fainted from the pain. She moans as she opens her eyes and sat up, only to see the eel just outside her car.

She yelps and tries to open her car door, she tries a few times before the door opens and she cried out as she stumbles out of her car. The hissing roar was heard as Zira looks up to see the kaiju looming over her. Her eyes wide with fear and her heart racing like an engine. She could see her life flashing before her eyes as the kaiju was ready to devour her.

Then a loud rumbling sound was heard. Causing Zira to blink and the eel sensing something nearby. The eel looks around to find where the intruder might be.

The water started bubbling violently and flashing lights were seen until the water erupted, forcing the eel to rear back with a surprised hiss as Rexzilla stood before the eel.

The dark kaiju throws his head back and roars into the dark skies.

"SSSSSKKKKKKKKRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNKKKKKKKKK!"

Zira held her ears shut as she got away from her broken down car when the tail of the eel slams on it, crushing it to pieces. "Oh no, not my car." She said in dismay. Then she turns back to see the infamous kaiju that appeared in Narim and rampaged through the northern region a month ago. "Rexzilla!"

Both kaiju stared down at each other with the eel's eyes shifting from white to red along with the markings on its body. The people of Hydro city gathered around to see the two behemoths in shock.

"W-What is that? That dark lizard over there?" The leader asked.

The eel was the first to strike with its mouth open. Rexzilla moves in with a right punch but the eel slithers around his arm and bites down on his neck, sending powerful bolts of electricity into his body. Rexzilla growls in pain and lashes out with his tail striking the eel on the head and forcing it to let go. The eel pulls away with a hiss and lunges at Rexzilla who caught it with both hands, only for the eel's tail to wrap around his leg and pulled him under.

Rexzilla felt the eel wrapping around his body as they rolled in the water, their muffled roars were heard as the eel sent more lightning through its body, shocking Rexzilla. Gritting his teeth, Rexzilla buries his claws into the eel's body and slices its skin. Both then break through the water and the eel moves away with a hiss. It then begins to draw energy from the power plant again to regain strength.

The dark kaiju noticed this and immediately put the pieces together. 'So, that's how it happened. You were the one who caused that black out years ago, you were draining Narim of energy, and it all makes sense. How this little dam could even provide such a huge power supply.' He thought to himself as he narrowed his eyes. 'Your so-called divine power is nothing but man-made. That figures.'

After recharging, the eel went on the attack again while Rexzilla rears his left fist back. He throws his punch as the eel opens its mouth and to his shock saw an energy barrier forming and blocking his punch. 'The hell!?'

After his punch was deflected, the eel cancels out its barrier and suddenly stretches out its whole mouth wider than possible and engulfed Rexzilla's head. Rexzilla let out a surprised howl and tries to get it off only to feel the eel shocking his body again. Shrieking in pain, he pulls on the eel's jaw enough to at least move his head out as his two shoulder spines started glowing. That was when he noticed something in the water.

His vision zoomed in and saw it was Robert in a rubber suit and riding a rowboat. 'The hell, what's he doing out there? He's gonna get himself killed!' Rexzilla felt more voltage running through his body.

The people of Hydro city saw this and many were worried for his safety. "Robert!" The leader gasped in fright.

Robert continued rowing the boat until he reached the tower where the control room for the turbines are. He jumps off the boat to the ladder and starts climbing it.

'I get it, he's shutting it down.' Rexzilla smiled only to lose it when the eel continued to shock him.

Robert continued climbing up the ladder until he finally reached the top and enters.

Rexzilla continued to struggle to pull the eel off despite the shocks he was receiving. Through it all his spines suddenly started flickering. And suddenly the spines started absorbing the electricity like a lightning rod. Rexzilla could feel the energy building up in his spines as the eel removes its mouth with its tongue wrapped around his neck. The eel looks over Rexzilla with its mouth even wider and sparking with energy. Rexzilla roars in defiance as his spines glow even brighter.

Inside the control room Robert starts flipping every switch, pulling every lever he saw to shut down the turbines to cut off the eel's supply of power. The engines began to slow down as the lights grew dim until everything was silent.

Even the electricity around the eel faded the moment its supply was cut off.

Sensing its weakness, Rexzilla tore the tongue off his neck and builds up his newly charged atomic breath. He unleashed his attack in a great burst of light and it tore through the eel like a hot knife through butter until its head was destroyed. Its body fell into the water as the stump was emitting electricity until it erupted in a great flash of light.

Rexzilla saw the water glowing and a pillar of light shot from the water, into the sky and bolts of lightning rained down on the entire city, causing the city to glow a golden glow. Even Rexzilla's spines were glowing from receiving the excess energy from the deceased eel.

The people looked at their city in stunned awe and wonder, as though their city had come to life for the first time in years.

"...that….that is the city's true form. That means that the legend was real." The leader breathed out. "It….it really was a god, it's true!"

Robert was seen leaning against the railings, feeling tired from what transpired. Zira was seen on her phone reporting everything that happened before ending the call. She noticed Rexzilla moving his attention towards her and she simply smirked before blowing him a kiss and vanished.

'I left the area after first destroying the power plant, so that it can never be reactivated ever again. That was my way of both concluding the negotiations and solving the mystery of the Great Black Out years ago. Negotiations of a man and a monster he created.'

Back at Narim, the whole city was brimming with life as the power was finally restored for good.

'The first ever man-made kaiju. From what Robert told me, he wanted to create something that would act as an unlimited source of power for his city, therefore he created a hybridized eel in his private lab. But the creature proved too much and escaped his lab and has been living in Hydro city's dam, where it grew over the years and siphoning off energy.'

Riddick was seen sitting at a table at a local cafe while his friends chatted amongst themselves.

'From what I heard, Paradigm somehow fished up the creature's body, who the media called Eelinator. What they plan to do with that body is anyone's guess, and honestly that worries me. Especially if he's involved.'

Riddick was sipping his cup of coffee when he felt a hand on his shoulder. He looks and saw it was Rachel. "You alright Riddick? You haven't said a thing after you just got back from your case." She said.

Even the others looked at their friend/leader in concern.

"It's just…the thought of what those people in Paradigm will do with that carcass is really unnerving. I don't know what they plan to do with it but it can't be good." Riddick said before narrowing his gaze. "Especially if…he's involved in it."

They knew he was talking about him. Someone who he despises with all of his being, they should know. Because Riddick told them that his family and Paradigm's leader's family have been enemies for centuries. All was quiet until they heard the TV's volume going up.

This caught Riddick's and his friend's attention when they saw people gathering around the TV, what they saw was a news helicopter flying over San Diego as it was a few miles away from Narim, and on the screen was a kaiju rampaging. The kaiju looked like a sea dragon, with a head resembling that of a mosasaur, with clawed hands of a marine Iguana, the tail of a Spinosaurus but with spikes and the tip having fins akin to a whale or a dolphin, feet of a dinosaur, and a huge single spike resembling a shark dorsal fin on its back and teal-colored scales.

On the screen they saw helicopters chasing and shooting the kaiju as it ran off, leaving destruction in its wake.

Riddick narrows his gaze and clenches his fist. "Seems like my work's never done." He utters. He felt a hand on his and saw Rachel holding it.

"Riddick, I know you're doing your best. But…don't you think you should rest? You've been jumping from one fight to another." She said with a pleading look.

"Rache's right boss. Maybe you should just let someone else handle this?" Harvey suggested. "Hell, maybe Misato should be the one to handle this."

"I appreciate the compliments, Harv. But I'm nowhere near ready yet." Misato interjects. "The last thing I need is to lose control on the field." She grips her arms tightly, fearing that if she got in too deep into the fight she might lose her senses again.

Riddick knew his friends were only worried about him and he was grateful to have such good friends. "I understand what you're saying. But I can't just let anyone else handle things like this." He turns his attention back at the TV as the kaiju threw its head, roaring as it went into the water of Mission Beach.

"Only a kaiju can handle another kaiju."

It took about a few days but Riddick drove all the way to California where the kaiju was last sighted in the city of San Diego. After renting a cheap hotel to act as his home base, Riddick was seen walking down the streets as the sound of cars and busy people filled the air, along with sirens from both police and fire engines.

He could hear everything thanks to his enhanced hearing, how people were talking about the kaiju that showed up and ran amok in San Diego. He found an empty alley and walks down to get out of sight. The moment he did he jumps high in the air and lands on the building.

He took off running with his enhanced speed and leaping from building to building to head for San Diego to see if he could find clues on the kaiju's whereabouts.

Eventually, he arrived in San Diego. He was seen standing on a building as he saw numerous soldiers patrolling the streets and construction workers doing everything they could to remove the debris and fix whatever was broken.

"Gonna be a bit tricky looking around here." He utters. He lifts his head, closed his eyes and starts sniffing the air.

The air was filled with many scents. Smoke, trash, the heat from the sky, blood from innocent people being trampled. Everything. It was then he picked up the smell of water. Scalding hot water in parts from the city. And the smell of…trees, owls and otters.

Opening his eyes which revealed a pair of slitted pupils, Riddick jumps onward to the damaged city.

Riddick made sure to stay out of sight. Always hiding whenever helicopters or ground patrol were nearby and following the scent like a bloodhound. Some buildings he saw had large circular holes in them that were cut cleanly. When he investigated them, he saw that there was water, meaning that the kaiju he saw on the news used a powerful pressurized water, like a water gun from Pokémon. But on a much larger scale. And judging from the lingering warmth he theorized that this kaiju uses scalding hot water.

Still, he had to continue his hunt before this kaiju hits another town.

The scent led Riddick from San Diego all the way to the Cleveland National Forest, numerous trees and footprints from the kaiju were seen as he stopped by a footprint. The footprint was as long as 2, 3 school buses. But the ones up ahead were…shrinking?

"Hmm." Riddick follows the trail of footprints as they were getting smaller and smaller until he soon realized that the kaiju he saw on TV…was another shifter. Like him and Misato. His hearing picked up the sounds of someone whimpering ahead and continued his task in finding the other shifter.

Riddick could hear the whimpering and crying getting louder as he hid behind a tree. He looks around it and saw someone sitting on a log, their face buried in their hands.

The person was a Caucasian teen around 16 years of age with an athletic build with short brown hair and his only clothing was a pair of ruined jeans.

Riddick gained a look of sympathy when he saw the teen before him. If he really is a shifter then he's going through exactly what he and Misato went through. The guilt of killing innocent lives, unable to control yourself during the first transformation and only memories of what transpired is all that's left.

Still, if he is a shifter, then Riddick's gonna have to see it for himself.

"Oh my God…." The teen wept in guilt. How did this happen? How could he have done something so terrible and hurt so many people?

"Hey, bub." A voice called out.

The teen gasped and looks to his left and saw Riddick coming into view.

'N-No…please…go away.' He inwardly pleaded only to feel his heart skip when Riddick walks toward him.

"You wouldn't by chance happen to see a big, towering kaiju running around anywhere, have ya?" Riddick 'asked' the teen despite knowing that he is the kaiju in question. He just wants to rattle his cage a bit and make him reveal himself.

This made the teen yelp and moves from the log while backing away from the older red eyed teen. "No! Stay back….stay away from me, stay back!" He said in near panic as his face almost lost all color. He continued backing up until he meets a rock wall. His body was shaking, his eyes closed as Riddick stops in front of him.

'Sorry kid. But I'm gonna have to play bad cop with you.' "Relax crybaby." Riddick said to him, trying to calm him down. "I ain't gonna…." Suddenly his nose picked up the same scent he smelled back at the city as well as some blood. 'Here we go.' Growling, he reached out and grabs the teen's hair. "Why do you smell like blood?" He snarls before throwing the teen to the ground.

The poor boy cried out as he rolls on the ground. He could feel his heart pounding violently. Sweat was dropping from his face. He had to get out of here and fast!

Then he felt Riddick's hand wrapping around his throat and pins him against a tree.

"Who are you!"

"P-Please….I'm begging you, leave me alone." The teen begged the older teen. "For your own sake please, go. You're in terrible danger."

Riddick narrows his eyes and decided to give one final push. He tightens his hold on the teen's throat, almost choking him. "Here's the deal, runt. You tell me what I wanna know and I'll cut you break. Don't tell me, and things will get even harder than they already are."

The teen's heart pounded even faster and faster until his eyes snapped open, revealing a pair of green/yellow eyes.

Before Riddick knew it he was punched back by the teen, sending him crashing into another tree. He fell on his hands and knees and looks up to see the teen holding his head as his voice started turning inhuman. His skin was now turning into scales and he was growing as claws and fangs sprouted from his hands and mouth. He roars loudly as he continues to grow while marching at Riddick.

"Aw hell." He utters. "I don't suppose you wanna talk about this like civilized people?"

His only answer was the other shifter roaring at him and then was struck by his fist sending him flying across the forest. Riddick crashed into the soil with a loud boom, dirt and dust flying everywhere as the other shifter assumed his kaiju form. The kaiju towers over 82 meters tall, just a few inches compared to Rexzilla.

The moment the kaiju finished reaching its size, a red and black beam shot forth and collided with its head. It howled in pain as it held its snout when a tail struck its side and sending it crashing into the ground. Standing over it was Rexzilla who glares at the creature. 'Ok, now I just need to knock some sense into him and hopefully he'll calm down.' He goes to attack but the kaiju swipes his claws at him before tackling him.

The two rolled across the field smashing every tree in their way until Rexzilla was pinned beneath the other kaiju.

The kaiju snaps his teeth at the dark kaiju, who moved his head back and forth until he fires his Haze Vision at him. The sea-dragon kaiju yelps and holds his face which gave Rexzilla an opening to push him back and uppercuts him. Then he grabs the kaiju's legs and starts spinning him around and around and then slams him with enough force to crack the ground beneath them.

Rexzilla jumps on the dragon's back and starts punching his face repeatedly. 'Go to sleep, go to sleep, go to sleep, go to sleep!'

This went on until the new kaiju had enough and used his tail to smack him away. He rose up and roars loudly and then fires a powerful stream of scalding hot water.

Rexzilla saw this and jumps out of the way as the stream of water tore through the ground and burned the trees. Rexzilla continues to run across the field to avoid the hot jet stream of water before jumping in the air and landed a tail blow to the kaiju's face. He then slashed his claws at the opposing kaiju drawing blood and pained cries. This only angers the other shifter further and then throws a wild punch at Rexzilla who catches his arm and throws him over his shoulder.

Dirt and dust flew everywhere as the sea-dragon rolls on his hands and knees, shaking his head and looking up at Rexzilla who loomed over him. His spines sparked with energy as he opens his mouth and unleashed his God Roar at him.

The kaiju quickly rolls out of the way and runs as the dark shifter continues firing his God Roar at him, destroying much of the forest in the process. Rexzilla ceases his attack and waits for the dust to settle. The sound of thunder rumbling indicated that it was going to rain but that didn't matter. He has a job to do and that was to wear out the other shifter in the fight.

The dust was blown away when the other kaiju lunged forth with his claws bared.

Rexzilla clasped with the other kaiju's hands as both shifters were pushing against each other.

They growled, snarled and hissed as they pushed with all their might but neither was gonna yield. Rexzilla glares at the shifter before his when his spines sparked with energy again, but this time his hands were sparking as well. He let out a short roar as he grips the other kaiju's hands tighter and suddenly lightning traveled from his hands and through the other shifter.

The sea dragon let out a howling roar of pain as electricity raced through his body. This went on until Rexzilla lets go and gave a strong Spartan kick and sending the other kaiju back. He looks at his hands which were covered in electricity. From what he could gather he must've picked up a new ability from his last fight with Eelinator yesterday. Much like how the Showa Era Kong used electricity through his hands in the King Kong vs Godzilla movie. He turns his attention back at the sea dragon who slowly rose up and glares at him.

The skies darkened as thunder rumbled and rain began to fall. Both kaiju gazed at each other as rain washed over their bodies, staring each other down with unwavering resolve.

As lightning flashed, both let out loud roars as they charged at each. The air was filled with the sound of thunder and the roars of both kaiju as the forest was becoming a warzone. The fight went on for what felt like hours until we see both kaiju facing each other again, covered in bruises, dirt and blood as their wounds were healing. Both were panting heavily as the rain continued to pour from the sky.

'Ok, enough's enough!' Rexzilla thought to himself, feeling tired from this fight.

Another bolt of lightning struck and both kaiju charged one last time. Rexzilla had his left fist back and the other kaiju had his right fist back. When they drew close they swung their fists at the same time and crossed-punched each other as lightning flashed and thunder exploded in the air.

Both were frozen light statues until steam erupted from their bodies and blanketed the area. Once the rain scattered the steam we see Riddick hunched over as he stares at the other shifter who was now back to normal again but was knocked out.

"...about time you calmed down." He said to the unconscious teen. His body soaking wet from the rain and tired from the fight. He looks over his shoulder to see the ruined forest. As much as he didn't want to ruin a special place like the Cleveland National Forest, it was better to fight a kaiju here than in San Diego. He was just surprised that the military didn't show up. Not that he's complaining. He turns back to the sleeping teen and walks over to him.

He gently picks him up and placed him over his shoulder.

"Rest for now. But once you wake up you and I need to have some serious words." He said to the sleeping boy before running across the forest.

His mind was racing with questions. Who was this kid and how did he come into contact with the kaiju ooze? Did Alan Maroni have some facility here in California? There were too many unknowns going on, but Riddick swore he will find out what Maroni is really up to, and he will stop him no matter what.

Author's note. Here's the newest chapter of my Monster War Chronicles. Sorry it took a while, but life being a pain in the ass, plus me fighting my allergies again, finding out that my dad's body was hurting to the point that he might've gone to the hospital, and now I have to try and get myself a new temporary permit so I can resume my driving lessons. I only own the OCs and nothing that's referred to any other franchise. I'll be taking a break until I get done reading a few chapters of one of my books.

Darkness. Nothing but darkness is all the boy could see. He moans softly as he slowly opens his eyes, his vision blurry; he blinks his eyes a few times until he saw that he wasn't in the forest anymore, but a room. "...w-wha…" He utters before slowly sitting up and noticing he was on a bed. He looks around and saw it was a hotel room. "Why am I-"

"So."

The boy heard a familiar voice and looks around until he saw….him.

Sitting on the floor in front of the TV was Riddick Rexton, the young kaiju shifter from Narim was meditating before the TV. "Finally awake I see?" He said without even looking.

The boy nearly yelps when he saw the older teen who harassed him earlier. "I-IT'S YOU!" He exclaims with wide eyes.

"Relax." Riddick said with a firm tone. "I'm not gonna hurt you. That is…unless you give me reason to."

The boy gulps and tries to calm down. "W-Who are you?" He asked.

"...my name is Riddick Rexton. I'm a private detective as well as a negotiator." Riddick introduced himself. He looks over his left shoulder and opens his eye to the younger teen. "I just wanna talk."

The boy silently stares at Riddick for a second before opening his mouth. "Allen. Allen Parker."

We see the fabled city of Narim in a state of chaos as plumes of smoke and fire littered the city and helicopters and jets were flying.

[There is power to overwhelm and destroy the world's most shocking monsters!]

We see the army firing their weapons against a kaiju along with others behind it, as they were tearing the city apart. We see Riddick glaring at the rampaging kaiju before we zoom in on his face with his eyes shifting to slits and the title card appearing below him.

[Kokoro ga shinu yo Jibun no tamerai ga Hikigane ni naru yo]

We see Riddick walking by himself in the city with his friends talking among themselves, when we see his reflection replaced by his kaiju self, Rexzilla as they both gazed at each other.

[Tasukete kimi e to Shinjite kimi kara Moreta koe ni yureru]

We then see Leona, Misato, Rachel and their friends in various angles with monstrous shadowed figures behind them, and a lone figure with two otters on their shoulders, were overlooking the ocean.

[Kiseki wo inorou ka Dakedo higeki wa]

The camera then shows general Garner standing with his soldiers gazing at the viewers, while we see Alan Maroni in his office with a vial of kaiju ooze, with a sinister smile on his lips.

[owaranai kodou Yami no oku de kurikaesu Sakebi, itami, ikari, akui Erabareshi BLOOD TELLER]

We now see a group of people fleeing from the kaiju that were attacking their home, while Riddick calmly walks towards them before being bathed in reddish/purple black flames and was then replaced with Rexzilla who roars into the heavens.

[Nakitakunai, kore ijou aitakunai Moeru itoshisa ga kousashita Ai ni kite nakitakute oikakete Dare ni mo tomerarenai]

Rexzilla was seen fighting kaiju after kaiju, while the military joined in the fray and fired their weapons. All the while Leona and the others watched on as their friend fought with all his might, and Maroni was seen throwing his arms wide open with a large tank of kaiju ooze behind him.

[Kore wa mirai soretomo yume? Kotae wa doko darou? Kore ga ima wo tamesu tobira kowasu no akeru no? Doushi you?]

We see an army of kaiju, aliens, mutants and robots surrounding Rexzilla who was joined with shadowed forms of unknown kaiju, while looming over them was a large shadow of a five-headed dragon-like kaiju as lightning flashed everywhere. Rexzilla's eyes glowed as did his spines before roaring defiantly and fires his atomic breath, as the scene switches over to Riddick, his friends and his kaiju self on top of the title card until everything fades into darkness.

Inside the room was silent with a few sounds of police sirens outside going by, Riddick was seen walking up to Allen and hands him a cup of coffee. Uttering a silent thanks he sips his warm drink while Riddick sat on the small chair beside the desk.

"So, you said that you've been living alone ever since you lost your parents, but you managed by yourself this long, am I right?" Riddick questions, going into his detective mode.

"Y-Yeah. It was hard at first but I managed to get by." Allen said with a small smile while sipping his drink. "Though, I'm not entirely alone. I have Romeo and Juliet, my two otters. And Barry the barn owl. Found them in my property in the woods, abandoned and alone. So I took care of them and they've been with me since."

Riddick slowly nods. The way Allen took in lost animals was very much like how he did with San and the others.

"But…it all changed when both Romeo and Juilet found this…this canister in our pond." Allen mentioned.

This perked the older shifter's interest. "A canister?" He placed his cup aside and leans closer. "What was in the canister?"

"S-Some kind of….glowing, purple ooze. Like something straight out of science-fiction." Allen said, recalling every detail on it. "Both Romeo and Juliett found it in a lake near my home. We brought it in to look at it when I accidentally dropped it and spilled it."

Riddick's heart nearly stopped when he heard that.

"My animals got away as some of it fell on me, it didn't spill over or anything, only a few droplets shot out. And let me tell ya, it burned like hell when it touched my skin. And cleaning it was no picnic either." Allen explains the burning pain he felt from the ooze touching him.

Riddick narrows his eyes as he leans even closer. "Then what happened after you cleaned yourself off?" He had a pretty good idea what the next part was but he wanted to hear it.

Allen flinched from the older teen eyeing him like a hawk. "...n-nothing much happened. I spent the day relaxing with my pets, I went to bed and….and…." He suddenly froze as his eyes were almost pinpoints. "...I….I…." Memories from what happened in San Diego came flooding back like a tidal wave, he shakily placed the cup on the desk and held his head. "Oh….oh God….those people…my God, what have I done? What have I become?" He buries his face in his hands as tears flowed from his eyes.

Riddick had the look of pure sympathy for the poor boy. He as well as Misato were experiencing what Allen was feeling; guilt, fear, confusion, despair. All of it. "I know what you're going through. The pain and the guilt of what you've done. You had no control of yourself when you became…a kaiju."

Allen faces the red eyed detective with teary eyes. "K-Kaiju?"

Riddick slowly nods. "You're not the only one to have suffered like this." He stood up from his chair, closed his eyes and before Allen knew it, Riddick's body began to shift from a human form to a reptilian form, his skin was replaced with scales, his hands sprouted claws and his face was caught between a human's to a lizard's, his clothes suddenly merging into his body. It was a pain to learn how to absorb his clothing into his body when he changes, but worth it. He opens his eyes to reveal the white of his eyes was now black, his red eye color remained the same but his pupils were now slits.

Riddick, in his humanoid kaiju form, gave a low but brief roar.

This spooked Allen as he leans back on the bed. "W-What.."

"I know. I'm just like you. A kaiju shifter." Riddick reveals, his voice distorted while flexing his claw. "Are you familiar with Rexzilla?"

"T-The monster that attacked Narim a month ago. I do know him."

"Well….you're looking at him."

This took Allen by surprise. Riddick…..is Rexzilla? "Y-Y-You're….really the first kaiju from before?" Allen asked with a stutter.

Riddick nods. "Yes. So, I and my girlfriend, Misato, know what you're going through. That purple ooze is a mutagen that turns anything it touches into kaiju. Kaiju ooze if you will." He explains as he changes back to normal. "And now that you're a shifter too, it's not gonna be easy to handle all that."

Allen held his head as his mind was like a storm. Him. Getting mutated into a towering monster. This was all too much! "W-What am I gonna do now?" He said aloud.

"I can help you learn to control your powers in Narim. A teacher of mine who's in on this is working on finding a cure, with my friends who know this as well. If you can take me to your place and we take that canister back with us." Riddick offers.

The distraught teen looks back at the older teen. "You….you'd really help me?"

Riddick nods.

Allen was silent for what felt like a century until he made his decision. "Alright. I'm in." He answers.

"Good. Then we better get going. Whoever created the mutagen will most likely come after it and won't hesitate to kill anyone to silence them."

Little did Riddick know, his assumption was true.

(Argento Industries)

Alan Maroni was seen in his office as a video screen showed one of his subordinates speaking with him. "And you're certain that every last drop of the contaminated water has been taken care of?" He asked.

[Yes, sir. We sealed off every valve, every pipe throughout Narim and rerouted the water back to us. The mutagen's now in our tanks, sir.]

Maroni had gotten word of how the blood of the kaiju that Rexzilla has killed before would revert back into the very mutagen that spawned these monsters. So, he had his men clean up the ooze before anyone or anything could come into contact with it and bring it back to his facility. The last thing he need is anyone to connect the dots of how the kaiju came to be. It would ruin everything he's worked for! "Good. And about our missing canister?" Maroni inquiries.

The man shows a digital map and on the screen was a blinking green light. [The tracer inside the canister has just given us the location. It's somewhere within the area outside of San Diego.]

"Excellent." Maroni said as the screen switches back to the man. "I want you and your men to go and retrieve the canister and bring it back to me, immediately. If someone has found it I want them silenced and make it seem like an accident or some hoodlum robbed them."

[Yes, sir.]

"One more thing….do you by chance have your little 'gift' I gave you?" Maroni asked with a knowing look.

The man nods and pulls out a small vial of the mutagen. On the vial were 2 pictures of 2 wasps, a Yellowjacket and a Japanese Hornet.

"Good. Only use it if things go wrong. Call me paranoid but in the event that Rexzilla or that other kaiju from earlier in the city do show up, you'll at least be able to fight back."

[Understood, sir.] The man thanked and the screen went dark.

Maroni leans back on his chair with his hands clasped together. "They better not screw this up. Or so help me I'll…" He was cut off when his phone started ringing. He picks it up and answers it. "Yes?" He listened to one of his employees on the phone. "Oh. He's here, when did he arrive?" He had a surprised look and listened again. "Ah, he just showed up and already went to the range then."

A smile appears on his lips. "He's a real chip off the 'ole block he is. Thank you for letting me know." He thanked the employee and hung his phone up. He got off his chair and walks to his private elevator. "Like father….like son."

Deep underground of the building was a shooting range, and the sound of gunfire was heard as there was a lone person shooting their pistol with dead-on accuracy. The target had numerous holes on each part of the body. The most noticeable ones were a perfect circle around the head.

There was a dinging sound and a door opens to reveal Maroni walking in. "I see you're keeping up with your sharpshooting, eh boy?" He spoke out.

This caught the person's attention as he fired the last round and ejected the magazine and switched on the safety. "... So. They told you I was here?" The person spoke in a low and somewhat scratchy voice.

"Yes, they did. Said you wanted to surprise me." Maroni said after walking up to the person. He turns to see the man's handiwork. "You're getting better."

The person shrugs. "Had a lot of practice with some moving targets…if you know what I mean."

Maroni nods. "Oh, I'm sure you've been practicing in your spare time." He said while placing a hand on the person's shoulder. "Though I do believe a change in pace might do you some good."

"Whaddya have in mind old man?" The person asked while being led to the elevator.

"I think it's time you hung around teens your age." Maroni said as they entered the elevator and the doors closed.

(Later)

Riddick was seen driving his truck with Allen in the passenger seat and giving him directions to his house. They drove through a dirt path leading into a forest where the younger teen's house was. It didn't take long for them to finally reach the house, which was a simple 2-story cabin house with a lake of its own, not as big as the one at Riddick's house, but it was perfect on its own.

"This is it. We're here." Allen said the moment they pulled up to his house. "The canister's inside. I put it somewhere it won't cause a mess." He opens the door and walks up to the front door with Riddick behind him.

Once inside the house, Riddick was sitting on a couch while Allen went to grab the canister. The shifter noticed 2 Asian small-clawed otters, a male and female, approaching him with curious chitters. Then he also saw a lone male barn owl on its perch. 'These must be the animal friends Allen told me about. Hope he didn't get any of the mutagen on them too.' The sound of footsteps caught his attention when he saw said teen approaching the living room with a large box.

"Here it is. It's inside this box." Allen said white putting the box on the coffee table, opens it and moves aside.

Riddick leans forward and narrows his gaze. Inside the box was the canister of the kaiju ooze Allen told him about. The glow of the purple light shone from the box as the fluids inside moved almost like a lava lamp. He reaches in and pulls out the canister.

On the canister was a series of numbers as well as the bold letters 'A.I.' was stamped on it.

"Did you notice anything strange about this when you found it?" Riddick questions.

Allen shook his head. "N-No. Not that I'm aware of. Other than the fact that it turned us into literal mutated monsters."

Riddick grasped the top end and twists it open.

"H-Hey, what're-" Allen was cut off when he saw Riddick removing the lid and placed the canister on the table. He saw the older teen looking at the underside of the lid with a careful expression on his face. "Is….is something wrong?"

"You might say that." Riddick told him. He raised his free hand which shifted into a scaly hand. He used one of his claws the pick at the underside of the lid and pries it off. He gently grabs something and held it for Allen to see. "This is what I was looking for." The object in Riddick's hand was a tracer with a glowing light flickering on and off.

"A bug?" Allen blinked.

"Exactly. Meaning whoever this belongs to probably sent someone to come find it." Riddick explains before looking at the window. "In fact. I can hear them now."

"What? You….hear them? How?"

Riddick's eyes narrowed as he continued staring through the window. "One of the perks of being a shifter. Our sense of smell, sight and hearing are now heightened. Our agility, speed and strength are also increased in our human forms." Riddick explains once more. "I'm sure you can hear them as well?"

Allen blinks again before his ears suddenly picked up the sound of….people walking through the forest. "I…I hear them!" Allen gasped before facing the window as well.

"Do you see them?"

The younger teen squints his eyes before opening them and his vision zooms out before him. "Y-yeah….I-I see them. 7 soldier looking guys."

"That's the search party the owner sent. And from what their boss is saying, it sounds like they're gonna silence the people who found the canister." Riddick said with his pupils turning to slits.

Allen swallows a lump at the thought of the men killing him for finding their lost property. "What do we do? I still can't control myself." He asked the older teen for his guidance.

Riddick looks at the tracer in his hand before closing his hand around it. "I got an idea."

Within the forest the 7-man team that Maroni sent were seen behind a clump of bushes. The leader, Arnold Hearse was looking at his tablet which shows a digital map and the flickering tracer ahead of them. "What do you see?"

One of his men was peeking through the bushes with his binoculars and saw the house.

"There's a lone house about 20 feet ahead of us, sir."

Hearse nods. "Good. First, we'll sneak around the house and go in separate directions. Then-" A rapid beeping sound was heard and they all turned to the tablet and what they saw made them stood ramrod. "The tracer! It's on the move." Hearse exclaims.

"They must be taking it somewhere."

"The four of us will go and investigate, the 3 of you stay here and keep an eye out on the house. If the owner or whoever lives there pops out, grab them." Hearse orders as he and 3 others ran off in the other direction and left the other 3 behind.

However, what they didn't know is that something was moving through the treetops at lightning speed. It was Riddick who was leaping from tree to tree. Earlier he told Allen that he would take the tracer to a random direction, somewhere far from the house to either lure the whole group or at least split their numbers. He lands on a strong branch and looks down to see 3 of the men are still here.

A sudden idea came to him as a sadistic smile appeared and his body shifted into his humanoid form. 'Time for some….Predator action.' "Kukukukukuku."

The 3 men watched the house from a distance, keeping their eyes open for whoever has their boss' canister. "I see movement. At the window." One of them said as he spies through his binoculars. "The moment he steps out of the house, drop him."

One of them has a sniper rifle which was loaded with a powerful stun gun. "Roger that."

"Kukukukukuku."

A sudden purring, clicking sound was heard, catching the men off guard when something large and heavy fell from the trees. A dust cloud erupted and the men were in a coughing fit and trying to clear the cloud. When the dust cleared they saw a towering, 11-foot tall lizard monster with a human-esque face, dark gray almost black scale, and blood red and black eyes.

The 3 men stared in shock and fear as the lizardman glares at them, growling and hissing menacingly.

"W-W-What the fuck…"

"HHHRRRRRAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHH! HRRAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHAAAAAGGGGHHHHH!" The lizard man unleashes a loud roar and lunges at them.

Allen was seen inside his house, holding a few luggage carrying what he can and looks through the window while Romeo, Juliet and Barry stood by his side. That was when they heard a loud roar, most likely Riddick assuming his humanoid kaiju form, and attacking the men who were spying in the woods.

2 of the men were dead, one was leaning against a tree with his face clawed off, the second was on the ground with a large gash on his chest. The third man was whimpering as his right leg was broken and trying to crawl away. The soft purring, growl from the monster was heard as he steps on his broken leg.

"AAAAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHH!" The man screams in pain until he was soon silenced when the monster thrusts his clawed hand into his back, right where his spine is and actually pulled the spinal column along with his head.

Riddick was inwardly grinning ear to ear as he just pulled a full-on Predator kill on the last man. "GARRRAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHH!" He threw his head back and roars loudly in the air.

The roar echoed in the air which caught Hearse and his men's attention. After finding the tracer on a random tree far from the house, that was when he knew they were fooled. And that roar and the screams confirmed it. "We gotta get back, right now! Double time!" He orders and they bolt as fast as possible.

Riddick growls as he shrank and returns to his human form, and walking to the house, he flicked whatever blood and meat remained on his hands.

He saw the door opening and saw Allen partially peeking out.

"All packed?" He asked.

Allen nods as he walks out with his luggage and his animal friends.

"Sorry it had to end up this way, but we gotta go now."

Allen lowers his head before looking back at his home, which would now become abandoned. Never in his whole life would he be forced to forsake his home, the very place where he and his family lived will become a memory. He closes the door and follows Riddick to his truck. After letting the animals in first, he enters the passenger side and buckles up. Riddick also got in and starts his truck. Before this happened he had the opportunity to change his license plates with false ones he had on hand, in the event if the one who owns that canister sent someone after them.

As the truck drove off, the rest of the retrieval party had stumbled upon the dead bodies, and saw the truck leaving. "Dammit!" Hearse cursed violently. He turns to his men. "Go after them and stop them! I'll catch up with you."

They saluted and went to their vehicle while Hearse pulls out the vial of mutagen. He inserts it in an injector and a hypodermic needle pops out, and then he injects it into his neck. A hissing sound was heard as the mutagen was being injected into his bloodstream. The moment he removes the injector, he felt his body tensing as his veins were glowing a purplish color, he nearly doubled over as he could feel the mutagen working. He greeted his teeth as his eyes glowed as a snarl escaped his lips and 2 insectoid wings sprouted from his back.

On the road Riddick was driving while Allen was sitting beside him. A disheartened look on his face from leaving his home was still eating away at him.

"...why? Why did this happen to me?" He utters in disbelief.

"It's not your fault." Riddick spoke out. "It's whoever made that damn ooze that did this to us." He then opens a glove compartment and pulls out two masks with dark tinted goggles. "Put those on. Last thing we need is them seeing us through the cameras or if they catch us." Riddick said while sliding his mask over his head.

Allen hastily puts his mask on when he heard Romeo barking. This caught their attention when they saw through the mirrors a black van with one of those men popping out from the roof and aiming a rifle at them.

"Shit!" Allen exclaims.

"Can you drive?"

The young teen gave a nod.

"Good. Take the wheel. I'm gonna have a 'chat' with these assholes." Riddick said right after unbuckling himself, climbs out the open window and Allen climbs on the driver seat.

Riddick was on the bed of his truck as he glares at the car coming up behind them. He then jumps from his truck and all the way to the car as the soldier fires on him. The bullets missed while some pierced his shoulder or leg but he felt his wounds heal as he lands on the car, nearly caving the roof and causing the car to almost swerve out of control. The soldier barely had time to react when he felt a hand grabbing the collar of his uniform.

"Who sent you?" Riddick snarled at the man. "Tell me while you still have a neck!"

"Fuck you!" The soldier exclaimed and tries to shoot only for the rifle to be yanked from his grasp and saw it being crushed.

The car then moves left and right as the driver attempts to shake Riddick off, the shifter nearly falls off had he not buried his claws into the van's roof. Growling under his breath, Riddick pulls himself up and then tears the roof off like a can opener which gains the looks of shock on the soldiers' faces.

"I'M RUNNING OUT OF PATIENCE!" Riddick roars over the wind. "TELL ME WHO YOU'RE WORKING FOR OR I'LL-" Riddick was cut off when something huge grabbed him and pulls him in the air. A loud buzzing sound filled the air as he looks up and his eyes turned into slits behind the goggles as he saw a large insectoid kaiju.

It was around 20 meters tall with a human-esque body but with the characteristics of 2 different wasp species, it had the abdomen of an Asian hornet but the coloration of a Yellowjacket, two pairs of legs with 2-clawed toes, a second pair of small arms, a huge pair of buzzing wings, and the head of an Asian hornet with a pair of greenish-yellow eyes.

This monster was Hearse, after injecting himself with the DNA of 2 wasp species with a rather stable version of the mutagen. Giving him complete control over himself during his first transformation. Now called Hovispa, a mix of his name and the Spanish word for wasp.

Hovispa let out a trilling roar as he flew higher and throws Riddick to the forest side of the streets. Riddick was plowing through tree after tree until he crashed into the last tree with enough force to push it out of the ground and crash on the forest floor. He groans through the cloud of dirt and dust before his eyes glowed again.

The wasp kaiju looks down at the car below and points at the truck, ordering them to continue pursuing the truck. His men nod before driving faster and the wasp kaiju flying where he threw the masked individual who was attacking his men.

'It's clear that whoever that man was wasn't normal at all. If that's true…then he must've been exposed to the mutagen that was leaked out from before.' Hovispa thought to himself as he hovers over the trees that were destroyed. 'If that's true then I'll have to capture him alive and bring him to Maroni then.' As he hovered near the crash site he noticed a massive hole in the ground. 'What the hell-'

Suddenly the ground explodes which forces Hovispa back and saw a semi-humanoid version of Rexzilla himself, but with a slender yet built frame, few spines on his back and the 2 spines visible on his shoulder blades and his face has a short but broad snout and stood well over 30 meters tall. Before the wasp kaiju got to where he was thrown at, Riddick assumed his semi-kaiju form and dug into the ground and waited to spring his trap.

Rexzilla let out a roar as he towered over the wasp who trills in surprise and then grabs him by the neck and slams him in the ground. He spun around and throws Hovispa across the forest and saw a cloud of dust forming.

As the fight went on Allen continued driving Riddick's truck, still wearing his mask to keep his identity safe. He looks at the rearview mirror and saw the van still behind him. "Shit! I better lose them and fast!" He steps on the gas and speeds up as one of the soldiers pulls out another rifle and moves up through the hole in the van.

Gunfire was heard as the soldiers continued pursuing Allen in the truck, determined to retrieve the canister and silence the witness.

Allen could feel his heart pounding, almost like it was ready to explode any second. He had to try and calm himself. If he were to get any more worked up, it might trigger his kaiju transformation again. His eyes briefly glowed green/yellow before changing back to normal. 'Keep it together Allen. You can't lose it here. Not now!'

Back at the fight Rexzilla was slashing his claws at Hovispa who dodgers the attacks, and lunges to attack the dark shifter, his claws bared and his stinger ready to strike. Rexzilla bobs and weaves through the other kaiju's attacks. Realizing that he's not dealing with a simple kaiju, Rexzilla knows that he's fighting another shifter, one who's in control of his form. 'If that's the case, I'll knock him out and force him to change back and take him back to integrate.' Rexzilla then ducks below Hovispa's kick and swings his tail around and strikes the other shifter who flew back from the blow.

Hovispa regains his balance and remains hovering in the air only to see Rexzilla's spines glowing and fires his atomic breath. Hovispa flies around as the beam strikes the trees and explosions erupted as Rexzilla continues to follow the flying shifter. The atomic breath ceased as the dark kaiju looks in the air as Hovispa came flying in a power dive with his stinger ready, and before he could react, Hovispa flew past him and strikes him with his stinger at the same time, causing blood to erupted from his left bicep.

Rexzilla let out a shriek of pain and surprise as he held his wound. He glares at the wasp who thrusts his hands out and the tips of his claws suddenly fire a hail storm of sharp stingers at him. Rexzilla then ran as the volley of stingers were raining down behind him. He looks over his shoulder and grits his teeth. He has to figure out a way to take him down without killing him. He then stops and his eyes and spines glowed purple and he fires his Dark Haze vision at Hovispa which collides with the wasp and sends him flying back.

Rexzilla let out a low rumbling roar as the wasp was holding his chest and glaring back at him.

Suddenly, missiles were seen bombarding the two kaiju, striking the area around them and causing explosions. Rexzilla turns and saw a squadron of Apache helicopters flying towards them. 'Shit. I so don't need this right now.' Rexzilla growls under his breath. Fortunately, the helicopters seem to be more focused on the wasp, firing their missiles which caused Hovispa to shriek and fly away and giving Rexzilla a chance to escape by digging into the ground.

In another area away from the highway and fight, we see Allen holding the steering wheel of Riddick's truck, the engine was off and his animal friends behind the driver seat. The truck itself was seen hidden deep in a secluded area. During the chase Allen was able to lose the soldiers and took a dirt road that leads away from the streets. He remained there until either the soldiers were gone or until Riddick shows up.

He took deep and calming breaths to slow his heart rate. He was almost close to losing himself and transforming again. But thankfully he held onto his senses and managed to fight back.

A sudden knock on the window caused him to flinch and saw Riddick standing outside. Sighing in relief, he opens the door. "Y-You're still alive?"

"I'm a lot harder to kill now." Riddick answers before noticing a few bullet holes, dents and scratches on his truck.

"I tried not to get your truck damaged but it wasn't easy."

"We'll worry about that later. Right now, we need to get to Narim."

Allen climbs over to the passenger side while Riddick climbs back in, starts his truck and drives through the road and finds another road that takes a different path, and away from the highway.

In another part of the woods, the van was seen parked by a tree while the soldiers were seen standing before Hearse who managed to escape from the army and transformed back into human form.

"It's good to see you back, sir. But….we lost the target." The first soldier regrettably said.

Hearse was silent as he sat on a random log. His mind was still on the fight with Rexzilla. The fact that he showed up proved his theory: the driver of that truck is no doubt Rexzilla himself. Unfortunately, he was unable to capture him due to the army interfering in their fight. Still, he swore he would get back at the other shifter and drag his broken body back to Argento Industries.

"What do we do now, sir?"

"... Contact Maroni. I'll do the talking."

A few days had passed since Riddick traveled to San Diego and met Allen Parker who would be known as Blagaru, the sea dragon kaiju. He was introduced to the rest of Riddick's friends and thanks to their help, he was able to find a new house with its own river. It may not be like his original home, but it was better than nothing. So long as he gets help from both Riddick and Misato to learn how to control his kaiju powers.

Right now, they were all seen together in school, Riddick swore to bring the canister to Professor Clark and find out more about the mutagen. Riddick was sitting at his usual spot in science class, right behind him was Allen who was registered into Crystal Star Valley High, as a way for Riddick to keep an eye on him so he doesn't lose control.

Professor Clark was standing before his students. "Now everyone, before we begin, we have a very special person visiting us and a new student as well." He spoke out to his students.

This caused everyone to murmur with each other while Riddick and his friends had looks of confusion, same with Allen. 'A special guest and a new student?' Riddick narrows his eyes a little when the door opens.

Gasps were heard as the person who entered the room was none other than Alan Maroni himself!

"Good morning students. Hope you don't mind if I drop in." Maroni said to the whole class.

Riddick's eyes were wide in surprise, the same can be said for his friends when they saw the CEO of Argento Industries in their classroom. "The hell is he doing here?" He whispers to himself.

"Now, as your teacher mentioned, there is a new student coming in today. I brought him here on recommendation." Maroni said before turning to the door. "You can come in now."

The entire class turn to the door when they saw someone walking in. The person wore a pair of jeans, sneakers, a black hoodie as his hood covered his head while a backpack was on his back. He stood beside Maroni before he pulls his hoodie back. He had a light skin tone, a lean body, he looked to be around Riddick's age if a year younger, he has dull silver colored hair of varying lengths, the longest clumps reached to about his shoulders, left hanging over his face in uneven waves. He has a slightly sharp nose and his eyes were a grayish-blue and had a rather dull, even boring look in his eyes, yet they had a dangerous gleam in them.

The moment he revealed himself, Riddick, Misato and Allen suddenly froze like statues while their eyes were slits. Their kaiju instincts were going off as they sensed an ominous feeling emitting from this boy.

"Everyone, this young man will be your new classmate. He is Shawn Maroni. My adopted son." Maroni said while placing a hand on said teen's shoulder.

Shawn lifts his head a little before tilting it. "...sup. Just call me Shawn." He said with a rather raspy, almost scratchy voice. "Looking forward to joining you in class." Then he gave a rather eerie looking smile as his lips were slightly chapped. "Let's all get along."

The other students all gossiped about the new guy being the adopted son of Marni. As far as anyone knew he has no family, but they never would've thought he had an adopted son.

Riddick let out a low, rumbling growl in his throat as his nails slowly turned into claws. His eyes were glued onto Shawn as his kaiju instincts were in a fight or flight response.

"D-Did you sense that…Riddick-chan?" Misato spoke to him through their telepathic ability.

The red eyed shifter slowly nods. His eyes never leaving the new student. "Yeah. There's something off about that Shawn guy."

Maroni was busy speaking to the teacher while everything around the 9 students and Shawn as their surrounding area suddenly darkens and leaving them in a mental black void. Riddick glares at the new student while Misato felt her teeth almost turning sharp as her instincts were screaming danger from the new student. Even Allen who is still new to his abilities felt a very bad feeling due to his kaiju instincts going haywire.

Shawn then turns his gaze at Riddick and he gave a sinister looking smile as the dull look in his eyes had this twisted and insidious glee in them. They gazed at each other as though they were enemies for years.

"One thing I do know. I can smell blood on him, he practically reeks of it. This guy, Shawn Maroni…. He's dangerous." Riddick grits his teeth.

Things were about to take a very interesting and dangerous turn of events. What will happen now that this new student has arrived? Only time will tell.
