Chapter Text

It was nighttime on the planet Earth. Green Lantern Hal Jordan just finished his rounds, had a lovely date with Carol, and was now fast asleep. A perfectly calm night. Or so he thought…

Kilowog - “Jordan…Jordan…Come in Jordan!”

Hal groggy from just waking up from a coma

Kilowog - “JORDAN!”

Hal answered his ring in annoyance

Hal - “What???”

Kilowog - “About time! You’re never gonna believe this!”

Hal - “Believe what?”

Kilowog then adjusts the ring to show the real reason for the call. Or rather who. When the mystery person was revealed, Hal was elated with joy!

Hal - “Razer?!”

Razer - “It’s good to see you too Hal”

Razer was not the same as when they last met. Last time Hal saw Razer, he was just a pure Red Lantern, following his orders from the villainous Lord Atrocitus. Now, he is a Dual Lantern! Part Red for rage, part Blue for hope. Razer finally learned how to hope!

Hal - “Wha…You…YOU’RE BLUE! And Red! Holy knarzt! This is amazing! Where are you guys right now anyways?”

Razer - “On Oa. I arrived a couple of hours ago, hoping to find the both of you.”

Hal - “Say no more. What do yah need kid?”

Razer - “I need both of your help and need you to return to Oa as soon as you can. I might have found a way to exceed further and faster on my quest.”

Hal - “Quest?...Oh, you mean…”

Razer - “Yes. I have not stopped. I will conquer my quest and end this tedious journey once and for all. But I need your help. Meet us in hangar bay 87, come alone.”

The transmission ended. Hal, knowing Razer, gets up, suits up and heads straight to Oa. Hal flies as fast as he could, straight to Oa. He did as he was told and flew to hangar bay 87, alone.

Knocking on the doors, Kilowog pops up and opens them. Motioning him to move quickly. When inside, Hal lost it. In front of him stood a ship he had not seen in a very, very long time. In front of him was The Interceptor. The ship that started it all.

Out of nowhere, kilowog calls out.

Kilowog - “It’s ok! It’s just Jordan!”

Out of nowhere, Razer walks out from around a random corner. Standing proud in his Dual Lantern armor. Making sure he was not seen. Hal see’s Razer and runs straight to him.

Hal - “AHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!COME HERE!!!!”

Hal then brings Razer into a Kilowog style hug. It truly showed how much Hal missed Razer. Razer thrown for a loop. He hates anyone touching him, however if it's Hal or Kilowog, he can somewhat accept the offer.

Razer - “ You are soooo lucky I need your help.”

Hal now releasing Razer from his clutches, he now focuses his attention to The Interceptor.

Hal - “ I can’t believe it. Where did you find it?”

Razer - “I got a reading on a ship past the void of a black hole. Desperate, I went through. It was the second most excruciating pain I have ever felt in my life. Luckily, I came out alive on the other side. That is where I found the ship in complete shambles. The only thing that worked on the ship was the main power battery. I evaluated the situation and thought it best to only try and get the ship working again. Day by day I completed new tasks. First establishing the air pressure, then the gravitational panel, all leading to firing up the A.I. program. Hoping for…I activated the A.I., but unfortunately it was only Llanos. After discussing the situation with Llanos, he agreed that we both needed to work together to get back to Oa. We both fixed Ultra Warp and flew here.”

Hal - “Which brings me to my next question. How did you get past outer flight control?”

Kilowog - “Ohhhh you’re gonna love this.”

Razer turns around, now facing the Interceptor.

Razer - “Llanos, please initiate invisibility for the ship”

Llanos hears Razer and does when he is told and just like that, the ship is completely invisible within 2.7 seconds.

Hal - “Woah! That's amazing! Kid, I am so proud of you! And you, Llanos. I never thought I would hear or see you again?”

Llanos activated the Interceptors outer speakers to speak.

Llanos - “It truly is a pleasure to be back on Oa with the three of you.”

Razer is now getting restless and starts to motion everyone to go inside

Razer - “Come, there is much to discuss”

Hal and Kilowog look at each other while Razer walks towards the bay ramp on the Interceptor.

Hal - “Can you believe it.”

Kilowog - “Crazy right…I gotta ask though. Do you still think she’s out there? After all this time?”

Hal thinks about the question just asked

Hal - “Razer believes she is, and I believe in him.”

Hal starts to follow Razer and Kilowog follows. They all enter the Interceptor to discuss the battle plan.

Hal, Razer and Kilowog are now sitting in the main common room where they used to eat and play games.

Razer - “Are you sure you two are ok with helping me? What I’m trying to do might get you two in trouble.”

Hal - “Oh come on, how bad can it be?”

Razer - “Ok, I need you two to distract the guards surrounding the main central battery while I go talk to it.”

Kilowog and Hal are stunned

Kilowog - “Oh, is that all?”

Razer - “I know you think I’m crazy…”

Ha -l “What brought this on?”

Razer taking a deep breath

Razer - “ Do you remember when we met with Scar and she told us about Aya’s origins?”

Both boys in question shook their heads yes

Razer - “Well I got to thinking along on my travels. I kept thinking about what she said about the battery and Aya being a living being. I thought maybe if Aya came from The battery…”

Hal - “You think it will know where Aya is?”

Razer shakes his head in agreement waiting to see what his only friends have to say

Kilowog - “Don’t worry kid, we’ll get you to the battery. We just gotta figure out how?”

Hal - “Who’s on duty today anyways?”

Llanos speaks up and assists his old crew

Llanos - “On the schedule, it says it is Green Lanterns Chaselon and Larvox"

Both Hal and Kilowog looked at each other in a mischievous tone. Razer is now slightly concerned. But only slightly, he is getting his girl back. No matter what.

Chapter Text

Hours go by, the boys have a plan and are about to set it in motion.

The boys tell Llanos when they send the signal, to come and get them from the Main Central Battery and get ready to follow it up with Ultra Warp. With their plan, they wanted a quick exit.

Llanos agreed and waited for the signal.

In the meantime, the boys fly to the Main Central Battery. Razer gets ready and floats behind a nearby building. Waiting for Hal and Kilowog’s Signal.

Green Lantern’s Chaselon and Larvox are seen guarding the Main Central Battery. They seem to be on high alert while seemingly having a nice conversation.

Green Lantern’s Hal and Kilowog nod in acknowledgment of the situation and gets ready to put their plan into motion. Hal and Kilowog fly to stand in front of Green Lantern’s Chaselon and Larvox.

Kilowog - “Sector’s 1416 and 17. How are you two today?”

Lantern Chaselon speaks Lantern Larvox is mute

Chaselon - “Oh, hello sectors 2814 and 674. We are doing great. What about you?”

Hal - “Good, thanks for asking. Speaking of doing great, you know the Guardians are really impressed with you two’s recent performance.”

Chaselon - “Really? Ohhh do you hear that Larvox! It must be that Orumm geiger counter we helped create for them!”

That wasn’t the reason they had in mind but hey, when life gives you lemons…

Hal - “Uh yah, that's it.”

Kilowog - “And because of that, the Guardians sent us over to relieve you of duty early!”

Crystal - ``Oh wow! What an honor! Thank you! Thank you very much!Come on Larvox! I can finally show you my Khocheoe collection!”

Hal - “Anytime”

The two naive lanterns fly off, not realizing what they had just done.

Hal and Kilowog motion for Razer. He comes out of hiding and now all three lanterns are standing in front of the Main Central Battery.

Razer just stands there for a moment but starts to float so he is directly in front of the Lantern that gave life to his beloved.

Razer - “I don’t know if you can hear me. I don’t know if you even have a name. I apologize. But I am desperate and need your help.”

Meanwhile, Green Lantern’s Chaselon and Larvox were flying and Chaselon was out loud thinking

Chaselon - “Geez, isn’t it amazing!”

The other dude agrees

Crystal - ``I mean, the Guardians think so highly of us to give us the day off and all… You know what? I think we should go thank them! Right now! It's night time and they barely have any meetings at nighttime. Maybe we could catch them.”

Lantern Larvox excitedly agrees and now both naive lanterns are now on the way, unknowingly, to rat out Hal, Kilowog and Razer.

Back with the main three, Razer is trying to talk to the lantern battery for any assistance whatsoever

Razer - “About 10 years ago, you unknowingly helped the Science Director of Oa at that time with an experiment. An experiment that could bring a being of pure robotics to life. You unknowingly gave a strain of your being to her so she could create the woman I am in love with. Her name is Aya, and I want you to help me find her.”

Meantime with Lanterns Chaselon and Larvox, they managed to sneak in and have a quick minute with the Guardians. They stand before them now.

Guardian Appa - “Sector’s 1416 and 17. What is the meaning of this urgent meeting?”

Chaselon - “Guardian Appa Ali Apsa. We are truly honored by your kindness and wanted to personally thank you.”

Guardian Sayd “Thank us? For what?”

Chaselon - “For relieving us from duty. Sectors 2814 and 674 came and told us of how our experimental gigger counter pleased you all and that you sent them to relieve us of duty.”

Guardian Appa - “We did not relieve you of duty! And we sure did not send sector 2814 or …!”

The two are now shitting their pants.

Guardian Appa - “Something is happening.”

Guardian Sayd “ Where were you scheduled today?”

Lantern Chaselon now has what Hal would call “the cat getting his tongue.”

Chaselon - “T…To guard the Main Central Battery?”

All the council is now scared and confused on why those two are doing any of this?

Guardian Appa - “Council come! We must investigate.”

The Guardians are now flying straight to the Main Central Battery

The three boys still remained. Lanterns Hal and Kilowog start to get worried and want the Dual Lantern to hurry up.

Kilowog noticing the guardians off in the distance, not looking too happy…

Kilowog - “ Uhhh Kid? You Might wanna hurry up?”

Razer is not paying any attention but the Guardians are getting closer and closer. Razer is just focused on one thing, trying to get the being in the battery to respond to him. In anyway.

Razer - “Please I messed up. I really hurt her. But I want her to know that I have changed and that I want her more than life itself!”

The Guardians now seconds away from the trio

Guardian Appa “What are you three doing? STOP!”

Razer - “Please, I love her..”

Razer is now tearling up

Suddenly, a giant beam of green light bursts from the Main Central Battery, spreading all across the planet Oa. When the trio opened their eyes and started to notice their surroundings, they noticed that everyone on Oa, except for the three of them, were frozen. It almost looked like time had stopped.

Kilowog - “Holy Knarzt…”

Hal - “Kid? What did you do?”

All three looked out into the frozen crowd, wondering what to do next?

Out of nowhere, they all heard a very strong and firm male voice coming from behind them.

Mysterious Voice - “I know who you are.”

The boys quickly turn around to see who is talking.All three are now dumbstruck. They are now looking at a man, but not a man. The figure of one, yes. But the actual body was completely made of strains of energy. No face, no clothes, no nothing.

Ion “I am Ion. I am the Green Lantern Corps. I am will itself. Why should I tell you where she is? All it seems you are good for is breaking the hearts of innocent souls?”

All three shocked by the comment

Kilowog and Hal about to put up hands towards the Core being himself.

Kilowog - “Now listen here….”

Razer stopped both of them. Knowing deep down this was a fight between him and Aya’s creator. Razer steps forward to speak.

Razer - `` You are right. I don’t deserve you telling me where Aya is. But I am still here, begging you to tell me where she is. Everyday passes by and I keep looking back on that day. The day I lost her 10 years ago, all because I couldn’t accept her for who she truly was. I was an asshole to her. But that was in the past. Now, all I want to do is spoil her rotten. Tell her how much I need her on a daily basis because it’s true. Everyday without her is the worst day of my life. I have traveled this entire universe, looking for her. For four years I was fooled by a New God, telling me he could help me. After he showed me my true potential, I left and started again. I have started and failed countless times. I will not stop until I find her! Me and Aya are meant to be together. I see that now! She is my soulmate, and I will find her! But I need your help…Please.”

Even though he hates to admit it, deep down, he knew he was telling the truth. He had seen his trials and tribulations. Even though he did dislike Razer for hurting Aya, he knew Razer was worthy of his “daughter”.

Ion - “Edetheral”

All were confused.

Ion shows all three boys a glimpse of Aya in her currently. In a location Razer had not seen or visited along his journey. She was walking around what seemed to be a floral store, freely with her hair down, HAIR! She has hair! Beautiful iridescent white/silver hair. And her clothes, GOOD GODS…She was wearing a white, very plunging and arching V neck corset top with matching sparkling elbow length gloves with black very flared pants. She also was wearing the most sparkly red combat high heel boots. They were mostly being covered up by the pants but you could tell that they were there. The one thing that remained the same was her face. She did not change one bit of her face nor her skin tone. Green as ever. The one thing he did notice was that she was now wearing glasses. Very beautiful blue frames with glitter and jews around them and dangling from them.

Razer gets choked up. It was her. Not the Aya he once knew, but this was her evolved form. The form she desired and strived to be. The version she tried to show Razer all those years ago. This quest was not going to be easy for him…but he needed to put that part of him to the side. The part that was extremely critical and opinionated. Not completely get rid of it, but pull it back a bit. Who is he kidding, a lot…Aya does not deserve that type of treatment. She deserves love and happiness.

Hal and Kilowog in the background, softly crying and losing their shit

Razer - “Aya…”

Aya is now sitting in a window seal, looking out the window. Almost looking like she was daydreaming.

Razer goes and reaches for Aya, forgetting this was only a closed window

Razer - “My love…”

Aya starts humming, the image slowly going blurry. The image stars to disappear.

Razer - “No! NO AYA! MY LOVE! I'M HERE! I'M HERE! AYA!....”

Razer on hand and knee, crying for a solid minute.

Hal and kilowog are still losing their shit over this telenovela

Razer now staring at Ion

Razer - “Please. Tell me where she is…please”

Ion look upon Razer with absolute pitty

Ion - “Go to the planet Ra’am. Find Felo. Tell him you seek Edetheral. He will show you the way.”

Ion starts to disappear

Hal now chiming in

Hal - “Wait, Where is Edetheral?”

Ion - “Be weary, for the past has been forgotten”

Ion is now gone and the boys are mad confused

Now noticing that the magic Ion did to make time stop had worn off

The Guardians are now telling Lantern’s Salak, Chaselon and Larvox to start firing and try to bring the 3 lanterns into custody.

Now realizing they face jail time, they get the hell out of there. While running for their lives, they called Llanos to start picking them up.

After a couple of minutes of bobbing and weaving, they regrouped on the interceptor, getting ready to fire up ultra warp.

They use llanos to fire Ultra Warp for Ra’am, avoiding Guardians for now.

Chapter Text

While in Ultra Warp, aside from making sure they did not blow up while in ultra warp, all eyes were on Razer

Razer, zoned in on the portal’s end, knowing Aya is on the other side.

Kilowog speaks first

Kilowog - “You ready?”

Razer knowing the question was for him

Razer - “I have been looking for her for 10 years…words cannot even begin to describe how ready I am for this journey to come to an end.”

Hal - “Don’t worry kid! We’ll make sure you get to her and she remembers who you are!”

Razer chuckles

Razer - “Remember me? She’ll remember me.”

Kilowog - “Kid, Jordan’s got a point. Ion did say at the end ‘be weary, for the past has been forgotten?”

Razer going into slight denial

Razer - “I have hope that she’ll remember the love of her life”

Hal and Kilowog look at each other with slight fear of what could happen

They finally drop out of ultra warp and land in Ra’am’s atmosphere

Llanos “Dropping out of ultra warp now. Welcome to the planet Ra’am.”

The crew makes a safe landing on Ra’am

Llanos locating the individual in question, Felo, he finds a match in the city of Khoves

The crew make note and park far away from Khoves due to it reputation of thieves and crooks among in the city

The crew disembarks and heads to the city

Walking around, they knew they stood out like a sore thumb

All eyes were on the trio, watching, waiting to strike.

They reach their destination and it’s just a little wooden hut

The three Lanterns enter the hut and looks around

Other than random trinkets and sparing previsions, there was nothing of value

Razer sees the store clerk behind a counter and walks up to the store clerk

The Store clerk notices Razer and speaks first.

Store Clerk - “Something I can help you three with?”

It was safe to say that this man gave off shady vibes from the start. From the way he was dressed to the way he spoke made him straight creepy. Even his smile sent shivers down your spine. His skin was also peculiar. Hal would describe his skin texture as a crocodile.

Razer - “I am looking for Felo.”

The store clerk smirks and takes a bow

Store Clerk - “At your service…Now, what can I do for you?”

Razer pauses. Leans in and whispers.

Razer “I seek Edetheral”

Felo perks up and looks at the young man suspiciously.

Felo - “The way to Edetheral is no laughing matter. For you to enter, you must give up everything, even your mind and soul. Do you still wish to continue forward? Friends included?”

Razer looking back at Hal and Kilowog

Hal - “I’m with yah kid. Through and through!”

Kilowog - “So am I. Though I think it might be best to have someone on the outside just in case anything goes south”

Hal and Razer nod in agreement

Hal - “Then it’s decided”

All the boys looks at Felo

Razer - “Show us the way to Edetheral”

The store clerk smiles sinisterly, then pulls back a curtain leading to the back storage room

Felo - “Right this way you two. Your friend can kindly show himself out now.”

The three did what they were told.

Hal and Razer went with the store clerk while Kilowog left the store, for now…

Felo, Hal and Razer are now walking into the back of the little shack. Only this shack was not so little after all. The two Lanterns follow Felo where they discover something. A highly advanced safe door, blocking the three from reaching the back room. After Felo enters the code, Hal and Razer are introduced to something truly disturbing.

People connected to life support machines, wires, tubes, all of it. When the two Lantern’s looked around. They noticed all different types of species connected to what appeared to be a main computer.

Hal and Razer don’t know what to feel, they are speechless.

Felo - “Crazy right. Now I know what you are thinking and no, we did not put them in here like this. I mean we did this but they wanted it done. The procedure I mean.”

Razer - “What is the procedure”

Felo - “I hook you up to the Euphorium 500,and you go into a deep sleep. Your bodies will be perfectly safe and confined to your med bay bed. Guards are at every corner to help customers feel they are safe while being in the simulation.”

Sure enough, both Lantern’s noticed a shit ton of guards. Knives, guns, grenades. You name it, they had it.

Hal processing what is being said to him and him now having questions

Hal - “Simulation?”

Felo shakes his head yes

Razer now chiming in

Razer - “You said they’re customers? They pay you?”

Felo shakes his head yes again

Razer - “If that’s the case, how do they pay you when they are asleep?”

Felo - “For payment, we ask that they deposit all their life savings. This procedure is a one time thing. There is no coming back after this…You have to understand, this is for people who want to have a truly happy ending. A world where they can live in peace and harmony. Whether they got the news that they’re gonna die early to someone they knew giving them an emotional heartbreak and cannot deal with the pain anymore. We try to make this procedure only open to people who are ready to experience a happy ending…speaking of payment…”

The greedy store clerk looks at the two lanterns and immediately regrets asking his stupid question.

Felo - “Right…perhaps another time. So, are you both ready for the end?”

They both looked worried at each other

Hal - “I still meant what I said, I’m with yah kid”

Razer nods in agreement then looking at Felo

Razer - “We are”

The store clerk motions to two open beds

Felo - “Lie here please”

They do as they were told

Felo - “I will hook you up to the main computer and then begin shortly.”

And so, there they were. Lying there, getting hooked with wires to a computer.

After much fumbling with buttons and levers, Felo is ready to begin

Felo - “On 3 gentlemen. 3…”

Hal - “You ready?”

Felo - “2…”

Razer - “Let's go get Aya”

Felo - “1!!!”

The store clerk behind and it sends a shock wave so high, it immediately knocks Hal and Razer into a deep coma.

Chapter Text

Both slowly begin to regain consciousness

Razer first opened his eyes and looked around. It was there he noticed Hal standing right beside him. Both opened their eyes, they couldn't believe what was in front of them. When they looked around, it was very pleasant. An everlasting small town. Very quaint, very quiet. With further inspection, they noticed the people they saw before, hooked up to wires and tubes. Now, walking freely in the small town. Greeting one another, like nothing is going on.

Hal finally speaking

Hal - “Holy Knarzt…”

Razer still remained silent, but turned to Hal.

They look at each other and both confirm they both remember everything and how they get there.

Hal walked over to Razer, ready to discuss the plan. What plan, you may ask? Neither Hal or Razer have any idea.

Hal - “Ok, so gameplan. Find Aya. Best thing we can do is look around and see if anyone resembles the image Ion showed. Now think, think…how to find her here…”

Razer starts to drown Hal out. Not because he doesn't want to listen to his plan. It was because out of nowhere, Razer spotted something. A being, with white hair.

After watching the being carefully from a distance, Razer starts to walk towards her. After she starts to walk away, Razer races after the being, hoping it was his Aya.

Hal notices Razer running off and starts to follow him

Hal - “Razer? Razer! Where are you going?”

Razer drowned out Hal more and more until he could not hear him anymore.

After politely moving through the crowd, he sees the being in full view.

There she was. Aya…In full view, she was more beautiful than the image Ion showed him. Razer was in absolute awe. His quest. His purpose. It all was about to come to an end.

About to race to her, he gets stopped and pulled behind a nearby building by Hal

Razer is PISSED…

Razer - “What the hell!”

Hal - “Remember what Ion said.”

Razer - “She will remember!”

Hal - “And what if she doesn’t! Then your hope and pride is gonna get hurt even more. Listen to me on this one kid. Ion would not have said anything if he didn’t think it was necessary.”

Razer thinks for a moment. He does not want to lose Aya after coming so close. He also knows that Hal would not do or say anything without reason. He begrudgingly agrees with Jordan and stops. But can't stop looking at her walk away.

Hal - “We’ll get her, I promise. We just need a test to see how much she remembers”

Razer - “ Like what?”

Hal thinking, he gets it mid thought

Hal - “Got it! Come on”

They follow Aya to the florist shop shown in the image Ion showed them. The two boys do not follow and watch her enter. They notice she was not just a worker there. She owned the shop.

Razer - “What now?”

Hal - “Wait here.”

Razer - “What!”

Hal - “It’s gonna be ok kid, trust me. Stay out of sight.”

Razer again begrudgingly agrees

Hal goes inside the shop while Razer stayed behind a nearby building

Hal enters and notices all the colors of the flowers. So many different types. Literally every flower you could find in the universe, you could find here. So much variety and in such good conditions. It looked like Aya knew what she was doing.

Then, out behind the back room curtain, she appears.

Aya - “May I be of assistance?”

Hal turns and sees Aya standing tall and proud. He was proud, deep down.

Aya - “Green Lantern Hal?”

Hal cackling at this point

Hal - “Ha, ha Yes YES its me kid!”

Hal holding out his arms for a big fatherly hug! Kilowog style.

Aya was not fazed at all

Aya - “Amazing, how have you been”

Hal thrown by how mediocre she was being

Hal - “Ah, good. Good, and you?”

Aya - “I’ve been great! What are you doing here?”

Hal - “Uh well, me and a friend are looking for someone.”

Aya - “Oh. A mission?”

Hal shakes his head yes

Aya - “I see. Have you had any luck finding the person in question?”

Hal - “Ehh not exactly…”

Aya - “I see. If you or your friend need help locating anyone within the simulation, let me know…You do know this is a simulation, right? I only ask because this place, there is no going back after entering…Did they explain that to you both?”

Hal - “Yes, they did explain this to us… But we are determined and Green Lantern’s. It’s what we do.”

Aya heard his last statement and something struck a core in her. She could not place it, but she knew she could trust him.

Aya - “I really do have to thank you. If I didn’t meet you that day, I would never have had the motivation to leave that cab.”

Hal now flown for a damn loop

Hal - “Cab?”

Aya - ``Yes, we met when you lost your ring in a spaceport or potty. I was the artificial intelegence of the cab you were driving in. The driver kept referring to me as a navigational computer…Honestly some people don’t know the difference.``

It all made sense now. Holy Knarzt….HOLY KNARZT….

Aya - “Oh but I beg of you please. Do not reveal what I truly am… Some of the people here will not understand.”

Hal now knowing he is screwed He tries to calm down and regain the situation.

Hal - “Ahhh, right. Right, ummm…yes. I will be right back.”

As Hal was leaving he realized he never agreed to keeping her secret.

Hal - “Oh also, your secret is safe with me kid!”

Hal leaves the store, speed walking to Razer.

Aya looks at the man leaving with confusion and nothing much else

All Hal could think about was how much this was gonna hurt. Both him and Razer.

Chapter Text

Hal runs out to Razer and Razer is waiting eagerly. Puppy dog eager…

Razer - “Well? How was she? Is she ok? What did she say?”

Hal having no Idea on what to say next

Hal - “So …there’s good news and bad news. The good news is that she technically remembered who I am.”

Razer - “YES! I told you she would remember. I TOLD YOU!”

Razer is about to sprint to her. Hal stops him

Hal - “Woah woah woah, hold up. I told you the good news. Now the bad. Now please, I ask this because we’re friends. Don’t kill me?”

Razer looks at Hal and is confused

Razer - “What did you do?”

Hal - “Well it’s not what I did do, it’s what I didn’t do…(Taking a deep breath) Razer I accidentally bumped into her years ago and I didn’t realize it was her…”

Razer about to go into full rage mode, now almost all covered in red energy

Razer - “WHAT?!”

Razer blinded by rage can only see Hal, frightened by his rage

He quickly calmed down and tried to use his hope calming technique

Razer - “ What do you mean you ‘bumped into her’ years ago?”

Hal - “Long story short I lost my ring in a space port-o-potty.”

Razer now looks at Hal like he is on drugs.

Hal - “I know, I know, listen. When I was trying to find it, I bumped into a space cab driver and his navigational system. I didn’t think much of it at the time, I was so focused on getting my ring that all the signs flew past me… Razer she doesn't remember anything…I'm sorry Razer. I'm so sorry…”

Razer is now facing the other way, thinking.
Hal had no idea what to say next. He just knew he wanted to help his friend get his girl back. Especially since he royally messed up the entire situation.

Razer is thinking about what to do next, he thinks, and thinks.

Razer - “Doesn’t matter”

Hal - “What now?”

Razer - “I said it does not matter. I am getting my Aya back whether she remembers me or not.”

Razer now walking past Hal as he is begging Razer to rethink whatever Razer’s current plan is

Razer walks out from hiding to see Aya seemingly closing up shop and going somewhere else

Razer and Hal will now become stalkers

Razer - “Come on”

Hal - “Wha…wait for me now!”

Both men follow Aya around town as she greets her neighbors and community. She ends her journey by entering a dining establishment. Hal referred to it as a diner?

Razer is trying to wrap his head around why Aya would need to visit an establishment that mostly serves food. Aya never ate when they were together in the past. But that’s just it isn’t it. That was in the past. Aya was moving forward with her life. And in her life, she ate food. Razer expects that he will need to make some serious adjustments to his thinking moving forward.

Hal - “Ok, what's the plan?”

Razer - “I honestly did not think this far ahead.”

Hal huffs in disappointment

As he says that, Aya exits the diner with what appears to be a bagged order to go. Aya is walking, the boys are watching.

Hal chimes in

Hal - “Since when did Aya need to eat anyways?”

Razer agreeing with Hal’s statement

Razer - “I don’t know. But at the current moment it appears she does. There is, a lot of things that she has changed about herself it seems…”

Razer looks at Aya, not disappointed in her, but disappointment in himself. Disappointed that he could not be as open as Aya would have wanted him to be. He knew this quest was a testament to his hope and faith. But now he really needed to put those teachings into motion.

Razer - “We need to be open minded.”

Aya is now crossing a street and out of nowhere, an old lady yells to greet her. As Aya waves to the elderly lady, zooming around the corner is a floating vehicle. Aya does not see this and is now about to get hit.

Razer will not allow this

Razer - “WATCH OUT!”

Aya is now alert, she sees the threat, but is too late to do anything. Lucky for her, someone was looking out for her that day. Just as Razer yells ‘watch out’, he runs to her aid. Covering her body with his own, flinging them both out of harm's way. They both now lie on the side of the road, with Razer now on top of Aya

Razer it's now speechless. Now looking at Aya, he knew she was beautiful from afar. But up close, she was drop dead gorgeous. It was almost as if time had truly stopped.

Aya processing everything, she looks up and sees a big blur and blob due to her glasses getting flung off when she was pushed out of harm's way.

Razer was the first one to have the courage to say something.

Razer - “Are you ok?”

Aya - “Yes…I think so”

Aya looks at the situation she is now in and is all embarrassed. She scrambles to find her glasses around her.

Razer takes note of this and looks around. He finds her glasses tossed to the side of them and reaches for them. He hands her the glasses.

Razer - “Here you go.”

Aya looked down to still see a blob, but when she felt it with her hands, she knew it was her glasses.

Aya - “Oh. Thank you very muc…”

Aya is dumbstruck

The most handsome man she had ever seen is right in front of her. Aya looks at him and thinks he looks familiar. Really, really familiar. More familiar than Green Lantern Hal. She cannot place though where she might have met him. Or if they even ever did.

Razer asked a question but Aya could not recollect what he said. Too spaced out.

Aya - “I’m sorry, what did you say?”

Razer chuckles

Razer - “May I help you up?”

Aya notes that Razer’s hand is extended out to help her up. Aya accepts this offer.

Aya - “Thank you. I am so sorry. I did not see that vehicle at all.”

Razer - “Please don’t be sorry, they were being idiots. Not looking at the road and the people that are on it.”

Aya gets really quiet. Razer doesn’t know why

Hal crosses the street to meet up with the lovebirds

Hal - “Hey, you two ok?”

Aya - “Oh Green Lantern Hal. Yes we both are fine. Uh…I’m sorry. I just realized I never asked for your name.”

Aya now looked at Razer with curiosity, Razer in slight emotional pain. But he deserved it. After everything he had done to her. He owed her. Razer looks at Aya for a moment, thinking of what happens next. Is he ready for everything? The commitment? Accepting her for who she truly is?” Yes. Yes he is. It might be an adjustment, but he will learn to accept it, for that is what Aya would have done for him.

Razer - “Razer. And you are?”

Aya - “My name is A. It is very nice to meet you Dual Lantern Razer… I did not realize though that you two knew each other. Did you two transfer in at the same time?”

Hal and Razer shake their heads yes

Aya - “I see, in that case I welcome you both to Edetheral.”

Aya now looks at Razer with the eyes that made him fall in love with her all those years ago. Razer can barely take it.

Aya - “If either of you need assistance on your mission, please let me know.”

Razer - “Yes…”

Razer and Aya are lost in each other's eyes. Hal is borderline nauseous. Hal tries to speed things along

Hal - “ Sorry your lunch got ruined”

Aya still dazed

Aya - “What lunch?”

Hal points and Aya looks down to see her pants and the sidewalk covered in her meal.

Aya - “Oh, no it’s fine. I can just get another one.”

Aya bends down to clean the mess. Razer stopped this by using his blue ring to clean up the mess. Razer extends his hand and offers to help Aya up AGAIN. He does not care how many times Aya bends down, he will be a gentleman and help her up every single time!

Razer - “Please allow me to pay for your meal. I am the one who not only ruined your meal but your clothes.”

Aya is straight blushing

Aya - “My clothes? Oh no, please. Do not be concerned, Dual Lantern Razer. I have an extra pair back at my shop. And you don’t need to pay for my meal. Here nothing costs anything. You technically pay when you first transfer in. Everything while in the simulation is included.”

Aya, still realizing her hand is still in Razer’s hand. She quickly retracks her hand in fear of embarrassment.

Hal - “Then please allow us to escort you to get your meal then. We both are still new here, and I could use a free meal.”

Hal motions and starts to rub his belly

Aya - “Of course, right this way Green Lantern Hal and Dual Lantern Razer.”

Aya’s eyes are trying to focus on both but cannot stop looking at Razer

Aya turns to walk back into the restaurant

Razer catches up to her so he is walking side by side with her.

Razer - “Also, if you like, you can just refer to me as Razer.”

Hal - “And me Hal!”

Aya giggles

Aya - “Alright then, Hal. And Razer”

Razer could faint right then and there. Her angelic voice has been something he had been looking forward to for a long time

Aya does not know where this handsome Lantern came from, but she is certainly happy that Hal brought him here for her to meet.

Aya and Razer are looking into each other's eyes as if they never were separated.

Chapter Text

Aya goes to open the diner door but Razer gets to it first and opens it up for her

Aya - “Thank you Razer”

Razer not realizing what he did, but when he immediately followed Aya in, he slammed the door right in Hal’s face

Hal - “Hey!”

Razer still not paying attention

All three are now in the diner and it is as cute as can be. Very cozy, comfy, and most of all loud. Everyone from town seemed to be hanging out here. Hal would describe this diner as if you took a standard greasy spoon diner and made it more upscale with its furniture and its design.

Aya - “This is Cablo’s. He was one of the first people to be transferred into the simulation. He created this diner because it was his dream and wanted to build a better community for the residents.”

Aya talks as she walks up to sit at the counter. The boys follow her lead. Razer made sure he sat right next to Aya. Aya did not mind this cause of action in the slightest. Aya shouts across the counter.

Aya - “Cablo!”

Cablo is seen serving customers at the counter. Hal would describe Cablo as a bull species. He was tall, extra yoked, and has a piercing right where you expect it to be. In his nose and along his ears. He had a dark purple and white coat with clothing consisting of what you would expect a chef to wear.

Cablo - “Ahhhh A! My best customer. What do you need? Was something wrong with your order?”

Aya - “Oh no no. No trouble at all…”

Aya looked at Razer before speaking her next thought.

Aya - “Unfortunately I accidentally slipped and fell…”

Razer politely cuts her off

Razer - “It was my fault that her meal was ruined. By chance could she have another order of whatever she had?”

Cablo - “Of course! Coming right up! Oh uh, what about you two, hmm? I can tell you two are new here. What do ya boys like? I promise to get ya something you’ll absolutely love!”

Hal and Razer now look excited for food. But not just any food, free food. Very important. They both start looking at the menu that was displayed on the counter.

Hal - “Well, I’m from Earth. If you have anything that can resemble a burger and fries, that would be great.”

Cablo nods and acknowledges Hal’s order. Cablo then turns to Razer.

Cablo - “And for you?”

Razer thinks and looks at the menu for a moment. Then peering up at Aya. How beautiful she was. Now realizing he’s off topic, he orders

Razer - “Whatever your best meat product is please”

Cablo gets excited

Cablo - “OHHHH a carnivore are we? Don’t you worry, I got just the thing!”

Cablo is practically skipping to the kitchen. Ready to cook something good for all three of them.

While Cablo goes and cooks the food. This gives the three of them a chance to talk. Hal trying to say something, but getting bounced back by true love. Razer is looking at Aya, Aya is looking at Razer and Hal is looking at how finally he is the third wheel.

Hal - “Hey…Hello?Hi, so how did you get here anyways?”

Aya - ``After our encounter 7 years ago, I realized I was missing something. I don’t remember, but I know deep down that I have forgotten something. So I left. I was searching for someon…Something (looking at Razer) and wanted to figure out what this…feeling was. I searched for years. 7 years, 7 months and 14 days to be exact. I tried to find out anything about my past, but everywhere I went, there were no answers… I did learn about how most organisms hate my kind. For 2 out of the 7 years, I was a slave on the planet Creo.”

Razer ENRAGED…

Razer - “WHAT?!...”

Everyone in the restaurant is now looking at Razer like he was crazy

Razer realizes this and quietly sits down. He sits, but is not giving up on his argument.

Razer - “Who did? I want names!”

Aya giggles

Aya - “Do not worry Razer, You could not have damaged them as good as I did that day.”

Razer looks at her with both content and concern

Aya - “So after I escaped Creo, I bounced around from planet to planet. Trying to find a home… But no one wanted me around. They called me a liability. A freak…Anyways, while still searching for my new home, I stumbled upon Felo and his simulation. I have been here ever since.

Both Lanterns are in tears. Not streaming down, but teary eyed at least.

Aya - “I said something wrong?”

Hal wiping a tear away

Hal - “No no. We just…uhhh”

Razer gets himself together and chimes in

Razer - “Forgive us. Our job as Lanterns is to make sure the beings of this universe are safe. To make sure they have a home. A family. I am so sorry I… we failed you.”

Razer then puts his hand over hers to console her.

Aya is stunned by this action. Aya remains silent.

While no one is paying attention, their food arrived

Cablo - “Ok! Here we go.”

Cablo started to lay down the food, snapping everyone out of it.

Cablo “For the Earth man, a double cheeseburger with fries. For the Volgerian, a 3 pound Zebratraca Steak, cooked rare of course. And for little A, a Caprese Salad, Mushroom Gnocchi, and for dessert, Creme Brulee!”

All look at their food with awe and excitement. But when Aya’s food arrived, they noticed the little girl ordered a lot of food. Though Hal had noticed something with the variety of food she ordered.

Hal “Ay…(cough) A. That all sounds, looks and smells like Earth food?

Aya - “Correct. On my travels I stayed on Earth for a couple of months and I must say, you do have some amazing food options.”

Aya starts digging into her food. Starting with the appetizers.

Razer and Hal both shocked by this

Razer - “Oh really?”

Razer is now staring down Hal. Letting him know that Razer is going to beat his ass when they get out of here for being an absolute dumbass.

Hal now laughing in terror

Hal - “Hehe…how bout that huh…Wait if you were on Earth, why didn’t you come talk to me?”

Both Hal and Razer dig into their food. They didn’t want it to get cold.

Aya - “I tried. But when I would try and visit your address, you were never home. It appeared that you were out of town.”

Hal is now so angry with himself

Hal - “Kid…I’m so sorry…”

Aya - “Do not be sorry Hal. For if you were home, and I did ask you for help. I would not have learned all the lessons I did from my travels. For example, sometimes you need to endure pain and suffering in order to receive joy and happiness…”

Razer “No.”

Razer is mad now. Damn it! How could he let this happen? How could she believe this is the way to happiness? He just wanted to submerge her in a KIlowog style hug and just tell her that everything is going to be ok.

Aya is confused

Razer - “Forgive me. But no, you should not have gone through that pain and suffering. You should have felt happiness from the beginning because you deserve it. I mean everyone deserves happiness, but you…You just said you were a slave for two years. You should not have gone though that. You should have had someone there to help protect you.”

Aya - “I am perfectly capable of protecting myself Dual Lantern Razer…”

Razer knows he’s in cold territory

Razer - “You are right, I apologize. I didn't mean it to sound like you could not take care of yourself. I know you are capable of taking care of yourself. I just…It is our job to serve and protect. To hear a story like yours. It feels as though you should have had someone to help protect you from the very beginning. To show you what true affection and caring is early on…”

Aya is shocked. She had never heard anyone talk about her like that before. It was very nice.

Razer looks and doesn’t know how to read Aya’s face/emotions.

Razer “I am out of line…”

Aya “no…No you are fine. Forgive me, but no one has referred to me as one to receive help. I mean no one has ever given me assistance since Earth then being here…It is still new to me Razer.”

Razer takes note. From that point, they move on. Now eating and talking about past experiences and stories to help lighten the mood. Hal and Aya were having fun talking to each other while Razer watched his love. Sitting right beside him again, smiling, where she belonged.

Meanwhile, outside the simulation, Kilowog stands by as backup. Just in case anything goes south. While keeping a lookout, he receives a call from Green Lantern 1418, Salak.

Salak - “This message is to all the Green Lantern Corps sectors. This is an emergency transmission. Oa has fallen. I repeat Oa has fall...Green Lantern Co… has been captur…”

The transmission of Salak was still going when all of a sudden, Kilowog got an extreme pain in his head. He thinks he’s dying, but that is far from the case.

Ion - “Kilowog…Kilowog! My faithful servant of will. Please, protect my daughter. Do not let Nekloron get to her! Take her to the planet Plathisa. The lost library of the universe resigns there. Find it! Find her true potential. Save us all…”

It was then, Kilowog collapses onto the dirt floor. Passing out cold.

Chapter Text

Back in the simulation, The trio finished all their meals and was now leaving the diner. After laughing and talking about past adventures and missions. Hal and Razer jokingly walking out of the diner, pregnant with food babies

Hal - “Phff…man. I don’t think I could eat again for another week”

Razer - “I don’t think I need to eat ever again…”

Aya giggles to herself

Aya - “Well I am glad you two enjoyed your meals.”

Just then, the trio walk and stumble upon what can only be described as a crack house. Hal is curious and somewhat mortified.

Hal - “I’m terrified to ask who lives there.”

Aya - “Actually, you two do…This place is the shelter for all new tenets. You stay there for the next two weeks while they process you into the system. The simulation takes your information and creates your perfect dream home. However it does get a bad reputation for foolery and childish acts.”

Razer - “Meaning?”

Aya - “Meaning some beings believe that while in the simulation, you can do whatever you want. And they try everything. From disrespecting one another to looting stores. Even mine. The longer they act this way, the longer it takes the system to process them.”

Hal - “What happens when they run out of chances?”

Out of nowhere, a strange man’s voice begins to speak.

Stranger - “If residents start to act up and continue to act up after the introduction period, they are transferred to Cell Block 5. There residents relearn and are reeducated about the rules of the simulation. There is also a three strike policy here. If you receive three strikes, you get kicked out of the simulation. Never to return.”

The trio turn to see a tall, slender man. Pale skin tone with black, slicked back hair. He wore a burgundy suit with gold embellishments. Shoes, black but sparkled just like Aya’s.

Hal Looks curiously as to who this new man is. Looking closely, he looked somewhat like Razer. Not completely, but there were hints of Razer sprinkled around. Razer looks like he wants to punch the shit out of the stranger. Aya look’s straight annoyed.

Aya - “Oh yes…Lanterns this is Kevlin. He is the A.I. of the simulation. I thought you had meetings today?”

Kevlin - “I always have time for you A…”

Kevlin goes to put a hand on Aya’s shoulder but she brushes it off. Razer wants to strike. Hal is holding Razer back, hard.

Aya - “Then what is your business?”

Kevlin - “Just wanted to meet our newest residents. Lanterns too…we are truly honored by your presence. You have any questions, just let me or A know. After all, we both are artificial intelligences. Aren’t we A?”

Kevlin takes his arm and wraps it forcefully around Aya’s shoulders, pulling her close. Aya looks up in horror. She tried to keep her origins and what she truly was a secret. But now, Kevlin just blurted it out! And in front of the most handsome man in the universe. She thought she was done for. She could not look up to see the Lantern’s face. The shock, the disgrace.

Aya - “I…um, I…”

Razer can tell Aya was stuck and she needed help. Walking up to both Aya and Kevlin, Razer takes his ring and uses it to create a red and blue mixed construct. A hand, flicking Kevlin’s arm off Aya. Kevlin is now mad…

Razer - “We already knew that and she has been an immense help compared to the actual artificial intelligence created for this simulation.”

Aya looks at Razer with shock written all over her face.

Aya - “...You knew?”

Razer - “I did, and it doesn’t matter.”

Aya is now slowly walking towards Razer.

Aya - “...It doesn't?”

Razer - “No…and if it’s acceptable by you, we both would love to take you up on your offer earlier.”

Aya - “...Of course.”

Aya having trouble with coming up with words to say next. She finally musters the strength and courage to turn to Kevlin to speak.

Aya - “I am terribly sorry Kevlin, but we are currently on our way back to my shop. I have an order waiting to be picked up.”

Aya now turning to Razer

Aya - “Shall we?”

Razer turns to now be facing in the same direction as Aya was and stands side by side with her. He bends his elbow to extend it out towards Aya.

Razer - “With pleasure.”

Aya took the hint and was overjoyed. She loops her arm around Razer’s arm. They started to walk off together, arm and arm, until they were halted by a certain cockblocker…Kevlin.

Razer - “Excuse us please. We need to make sure she makes it back before her appointment.”

Kevlin looked at the two in silent rage. Knowing he had been out bested, he takes his defeat and stands aside. Razer and Aya start to walk back towards Aya’s shop.

Razer - “By the way, I really like your shoes.”

Aya - “Thank you! A lot of people say they’re too much or very goudy.”

While the two walk away in utter happiness, Green Lantern Hal and the newly blueballed Kevlin are left to stare at the couple. One happy that both of them are finally together. The other, wanting one party to disappear forever.

Hal - “Ahh, young love huh?”

Hal runs to catch up to the happy couple. Kevlin watching the trio walk off, he whispers to himself.

Kevlin - “Which is the reason it should be eliminated…”

The trio are now walking back to Aya’s flower shop and feeling relieved that they do not have to deal with Kevlin anymore. Or so they think…

Aya - “Thank you both for your help back there…Kevlin can be a little, much sometimes.”
Razer speaks with arm still entangled with Aya’s

Razer - “I can rip his…(cough) talk. I can talk to him if need be…”

Hal leans in and speaks

Hal - “He hasn't hurt you physically has he?”

Aya - “Oh no, nothing like that. It’s just that he believes we are soulmates and I do not believe it.”

Both Hal and Razer share a glare with one another. Not knowing where this was going, but needed to be examined further.

Hal - “Oh…”

Razer stops to the side for a moment

Razer - “What do you feel when he is around?”

Aya - “As Kevlin stated before, I am an artificial intelligence. I cannot feel anything. Even if I wanted to…”

Razer - “I understand. But if you could feel, what would you believe you were feeling?”

Aya - “Kevlin is a nice and courteous individual, however I feel really nothing towards him. I see him as a colleague, not a lover…”

Aya now looking awkwardly at Razer

Aya - “ I'm sorry I’m not good at this.”

Razer finds this new version of Aya to be adorable, and cute. Razer quickly wants to reassure Aya that she is not the one who should be apologizing.

Razer - “ Please do not apologize. The reason I ask is because I saw the way he looked at you and the way you looked at him. It did not match up.”

Hal now chiming in

Hal - “Yah kid, the chemistry wasn't really there if you know what I mean.”

Razer continues walking while speaking

Razer - “When a being is in love, you can’t help but just stare at the being. For hours and hours, you just want to watch them. Because you never know when your last day is going to be with that being…”

Razer now realizing he is doing exactly what he is saying

Razer - “Forgive me, now I’m rambling…”

Aya puts her free hand on Razer’s bicep.

Aya - “Please do not be sorry. Your explanation really did help. Thank you Razer…Oh and you too Hal.”

Aya now looking at Hal

Hal - “Anytime kid. Oh…Looks like we’re here”

Aya unhooks from Razer to go unlock the front door. She walks in, inviting her two new friends in behind her.

Chapter Text

Aya runs in and straight to the back gets changed in the back storage room.

Aya - “I’m going to go change. If a customer walks in, could you yell for me please? It might be my last pickup order for the day.”

Aya says with a curtain in hand. Razer is not able to answer Aya due to him being mesmerized by Aya and just her presence. Hal notices this and chimes in.

Hal - “Sure thing kid”

Aya goes into the back room, pulling the curtain across to show nothing but the tan color of the curtain. Hal tries to whisper to Razer.

Hal - “Ok, what’s the plan”

Razer - “...Plan? Oh right… I have no idea”

Hal now rolling his eyes

Hal - “Well it seems she's interested in you so that's a plus! We just need to get her to remember everything else. But how?”

Out of nowhere, Aya pulls back the curtain to reveal her new outfit.

Aya - “Thank you for waiting”

Gone were the gloves and the pants and those red boots. Aya now walks out now in a white, flowy maxi dress with small blue flowers all over it. Little bubble sleeves dripping down her shoulders. She also wore a tight, light brown halter corset to help the dress not fall. She also changed her red heels for some simple blue, open toe heels. The peculiar thing is, she had no toes. Hal would refer to Aya's foot as a Barbie doll. The only thing she kept on from her last outfit was her glasses.

Hal - “Woah, kid. You look…”

Razer - “Perfect. You look absolutely perfect.”

Aya had no idea what love felt or looked like. At that moment, she understood everything.

Suddenly an old elderly lady enters the store. But not just any elderly lady, the same lady that Aya was waving to earlier, right before she was about to get runned over.

Old Lady Customer - “Hello A, I uhh oh. I see you have other customers. I’ll wait.”

Aya - “Oh no it’s fine Dutchess. Here to pick up your order?”

Dutchess - “Yes please, thank you dove. But I must ask, are you alright? I truly did not see that vehicle coming at all…”

Aya - “Oh Dutchess, please. I know you did not mean it. Do not worry anymore about this. You did nothing wrong.”

Razer is watching this happen in front of him and he can only think about how lucky he is. How lucky he was to have a second chance with his soulmate. He knew he could not mess this up, period.

While Aya goes to get Dutchess’s order, Dutchess turns her attention to the two Lanterns.

Dutchess - “You two are new here. I can tell, I have been here for a long time. Where are my manners, I am Dutchess and you are?”

Hal - “ I’m Green Lantern Hal Jordan. This is my colleague Razer.”

Dutchess - “Well aren’t you a tall glass of water…mmmhm, you’re just perfect for A!”

Razer chuckles and walks besides Dutchess to talk in a low enough tone that Aya could not hear.

Razer - “I see. Do not get me wrong, I 100% agree with you, but I would like to ask why you think that.”

Just as Dutchess was about to answer, Aya comes out with the flowers

Aya - “ Here you go! Fresh Watquynic floral arrangement! Will there be anything else?”

Dutchess - “No dear, this is perfect. Thank you.”

Dutchess goes for the door. Opens it halfway and turns back to speak.

Dutchess - “Oh, I almost forgot. A good hearted warrior is what that girl deserves. And anyone who puts themselves in harm's way for her is a winner in my book, young man.”

Dutchess leaves the room in utter silence when all of a sudden, random screens start to pop up all around the simulation. Making sure every resident saw Kevlin’s message.

Kevlin - “Good afternoon my fellow residents. Please forgive my abrupt announcement. However I wanted to invite everyone to a Ball I will be holding this evening at my residence at sunset. I ask all residents to come and support our great community. Please dress the part as well. Tonight's theme: Dripping in Gems! Can’t wait to see you there!”

Right as the message ended and the screens went away, in unison, both Aya and Dutchess grunt in despair so loud.

Aya and Dutchess - “UGHHHHHHH.”

Dutchess - “Another Ball?”

Aya - “I know…it is almost as if Kevlin does not know the meaning of ‘taking a break.”

Hal now curious

Hal - “This is normal?”

Dutchess - “Oh yes. He always throws them, however when he does throw them, he can be a little, much.”

Razer - “How do you mean?”

Aya - “For example, when I first came here and was invited to my first Ball, I was excited. I did as they said. I got dressed and showed up promptly on time. I was expecting elegance, class and sophistication. But what I saw that night, none of those words described what I saw that evening.”

Hal - “What do you mean?”

Aya - “Do you remember I told you how people act up sometimes here and they get repercussions?”

Hal and Razer both shake their heads in unison

Aya - “Those specific repercussions do not exactly apply to him.”

Dutchess - “Aww sweet dove, you are being too nice. The man is a hypocrite!”

Aya - “I must agree with Dutchess. That night of the Ball, I was one appalled by the smell of his home. I also saw so many people watching Kevlin, making a complete fool out of himself by climbing up a pillar in the main hallway in his home, stripping naked and starting to sing war songs.”

Dutchess - “Ohhhh that’s nothing. Once I saw him swimming on his grand dining room table, while dinner was being served. Corstrea and Trewtrew flew all around and across that room that day.”

Hal and Razer mortified

Hal - “Jesus, Mary and Joseph…”

Razer - “Is attendance mandatory?”

Aya - ``Technically yes, however there are passes given to you when you arrive. You receive three and they are used for permission removal from a particular activity the simulation might be having that day.”

Dutchess - “Yah and I’ve used up all my three already.”

Aya - “And I still have one pass left.”

Hal - “Perfect, by chance do you wanna use it tonight and we’ll each use one of ours?We could hang out and I don't know, watch a movie?”

Aya still in shock

Aya - “Really?”

Hal - “Why not?”

Razer - “That way you do not have to deal with Kevlin.”

Aya - “Well, he has been using more substance abuse over these past months. He usually starts to black out by sunset anyways so I think we should be fine. If not, I will take the blame so you two don’t get any strikes.”

Razer - “ You do not need to take anything. We can handle Kevlin if he gets out of hand.”

Aya - “I am sure you are more than capable of handling Kevlin all by yourself. However I do say use caution with him. He has more powers and abilities here that he gives off.”

Aya noticing what time it was

Aya - “ Goodness, look at the time. We better get going if we’re going to catch the bus to my place. I’m sorry Dutchess, did you need any more assistance?”

Dutchess - “No, no dear. I’m all good. You three have a great day! Oh and you, take good care of her now.”

Razer answering the old lady with joy

Razer “With pleasure ma’am!”

Dutchess leaves the store and now Razer and Aya look at each other with bashfulness and embarrassment. Aya walked to the back room to grab her rainbow prism bag.

Aya - “Are you two ready? We need to hurry if we’re goin to catch the next trolley!”

Aya, trying to rush out of embarrassment, goes for the door. Just as Aya goes for the handle, a mixed red-blue construct hand grabs the handle first and opens the door for Aya.

Aya looks back to see Razer using his ring

Razer - “After you.”

Aya is smiling from ear to ear!

Lanterns Hal and Razer follow Aya out of the store. She locks up the store and guides them to the central trolley station. Right in the center of this endless town. Aya quickly goes up to the clerk at the main office and gets 2 temporary tickets, due to the Lantern’s still being new to the simulation.

Aya - “These are for you two, just until the simulation registers your information.”

Now having a way to get on the trolley, Aya guides the boys to her normal trolley, trolley 29. Hal happily followed while Razer made sure to stay close to Aya. He had come so far, he could not lose her now. Plus, he really did like learning more about Aya. He only wishes he could have been more open in the past.

Aya - “My home is 14.3 minutes outside of town. I cannot wait to show you two my home.”

Right as Aya was about to enter the trolley, she was halted by a old nuisance

Kevlin - “Heyyy A! How are you today?”

Aya confused, Hal annoyed and Razer is now planning a murder in his head.

Aya - “You just saw me 15.7 minutes ago.”

Kevlin - “A lot can happen in 15.7 minutes.”

Kevlin leans in to be very close to Aya. Aya annoyed, she backed her head up to make sure Kevlin didn’t invade her personal bubble.

Aya - “I am doing very well today Kevlin, thank you.”

Aya goes for a small gap in between Kevlin and the entrance to the trolley. Unfortunately, she gets blocked again by Kevlin.

Kevlin - “That’s fantastic! Did you get my messages?”

Aya wants to punch Kevlin so hard that his processor will need to be broken and need work on for the next 5 decades.

Aya - “Yes Kevlin, we all saw your message about tonight's ball.”

Kevlin - “Not the public service announcement. The messages I sent you to your personal account.”

As Kevlin finished his statement, Aya held up her hand. She pulls up a computer screen from her hand. It appears to be as before where the computer screen is built into her hand and she projects the information upwards. Sure enough, there were 57 messages left for Aya in her “dm’s”. All asking the same thing. “Will you be my date for the ball?” All three look at the messages and all think the same thing. “Damn…this dude is desperate…and thirsty”

Aya - “...oh.”

Kevlin inpatient

Kevlin - “Sooo…what do you say?”

Aya looks up at Kevlin and answers with no hesitation

Aya - “No”

Kevlin shocked and confused

Kevlin - “No?”

Aya - “No. And on that note I will be using my last excusal pass this evening.”

Hal jumps in

Hal - “Yah and we both wanna use one each as well for tonight please.”

Kevlin again in silent rage, he directs his next question directly towards Aya

Kevlin - “Are you sure you think this is a good idea? I mean considering you already have 2 strikes already and all, you would not want another one right?”

Razer now furious, he steps in front of Aya, ready to swing.

Razer - “Are you blackmailing her?”

Kevlin - “Just stating facts Lantern. But do not worry, I know you know nothing about that. You know, considering you just have an average mortal intelligence level.”

Aya done with Kevlin’s attitude, she moves past Razer and speaks with the intention of putting Kevlin in his place.

Aya - “First off, do not speak to him that way. Second, you and I both know that you cannot give me a strike just because I want to miss a ball you just announced 18.9 minutes ago. The Lanterns and I have every right to use our pass freely and the way we want to use them. Now if you will excuse us, I wish to return home and do recreational drugs.”

Kevlin now looks dead at Razer. He slowly passes Aya and goes straight for Razer. Now standing directly in front of him, he goes and whispers in his ear.

Kevlin - “You think you won? Don’t you? She is not what you think she is. She belongs to me! Because I am her soul…ack!”

Just as Kevlin was about to finish his statement, out of nowhere, Aya blasts Kevlin right off of Razer (Not harming Razer in any way, shape or form) and into the dirt.

Aya goes to Razer’s aid

Aya - “Are you alright?”

Razer - “I am now, thanks to you.”

Razer then takes her right hand and brings it up to his lips. Kissing it ever so gently. Aya is confused but really likes what is happening.

Razer releases Aya’s hand, looking towards the newly opened entrance to trolley 29.

Razer - “Shall we go?”

Aya then nods her head and guides the two Lanterns on the trolley. Once both Lantern’s were on the trolley, Aya looks back at Kevlin in utter disappointment. Shaking her head in disapproval. Aya then leaves Kevlin with some words of advice before she goes to sit down.

Aya - “You ever do that again, I promise you, I will have no problem earning that last strike…”

Kevlin looks at Aya with fear and anger while he sits in the dirt. Aya goes to sit down next to Razer and Hal. The trolley closed its doors and they were off. It was there, Kevlin was left to ponder what his new plan would be.

Meanwhile outside of the simulation, we come back to Kilowog. Who is currently still unconscious in the middle of the streets of Ra’am. When coming to, he is woken up by other species, trying to loot his body armor. Especially trying to take his Green Lantern ring.

Species 1 - “What are you doing! Just pull!”

Species 2 - “I can't! His fingers are too fat!”

Species 3 - “Holy Krype, just cut it off will you!”

Just then, Species 2 pulls out a rusty pocket knife, going for Kilowog’s ring.

Kilowog - “Oh KNARTZ NO!”

Just then, Kilowog pulls out his old but faithful hammer construct! Whipping those poozers into shape! After the main three run away in fear, he turn s to the rest of the crowd.

Kilowog - “YOU WANT SOME POOZERS?!”

Everyone is walking/running away. Pretending nothing had happened. Now Kilowog is all alone, left to ponder what the hell happened.

Kilowog - “Man…was that? I gotta get to the ship.”

Kilowog looking at the building those goons were holding Hal and Razer.

Kilowog - “Sorry fellas, I'll be back soon.”

Kilowog then flies off, heading straight to the Interceptor to investigate.

Meanwhile, back in the simulation, Aya, Razer and Hal have been traveling on trolley 29 for 14.3 minutes and are arriving at their destination. However, the two lantern’s noticed something peculiar. All the houses are both spaced out yet very close to each other. All in a single file row from one another. Like a grid. And they all look the same…A square 1 level home with 1 door and 2 windows. No color except gray and black, no style. Just bland ass buildings. When the Lanterns followed Aya out of the trolley, they were left just staring in confusion at the buildings.

Aya - “Please forgive the exterior. It is much nicer once you are on the inside.”

Razer - “Oh no, I like it. Very simple.”

Hal - “Yah kid! We like your style”

Hal now looking down the row of houses, left and right

Hal - “...and everyone else's style apparently”

Razer elbows Hal with his pointy ass glove

Hal - “ouch”

Aya goes and opens the door. They all walked into a dark room. Confused on where the lights were, they unexpectedly get their answer. Aya auto turns on the lights from her hand console and both lanterns were utterly surprised. Aya does not remember anything about her past life, yet her home interior is an exact replica to the interior of the interceptor. Every nook and cranny resembled the Interceptor in some way. Both Lantern’s were floored.

Hal - “…holy knarzt”

Razed - “agreed…”

Aya looks upon Hal and Razer with slight fear and confusion.

Aya - “Is my home to your liking?”

Razer looks at Aya for a moment, thinking very carefully about what to say next.

Razer - “ It’s beautiful. You really do have a lovely home… A.”

Hal - “Yah, I gotta say. It’s a real familiar vibe. Where’d you get the inspiration for this place?”

Aya looked off, admiring her home.

Aya - “Truth be told, I’m not quite sure. It was almost like a dream but artificial intelligences can not dream so.”

Razer has hope. He already had hope before, but now he is realizing how close he truly is to getting Aya back. He cannot give up now. Not just for his selfish reasons for trying to get her back in his life. She deserved to live and remember all her memories.

Razer - “You never know”

Aya looks at Razer with shock. Taken aback by Razer's comment, she tries to change the subject quickly. Not because she was offended. She just had no idea what was happening to her. She thought all she was was a robot, but now…She’s feeling something. Not knowing what, she wishes to examine this feeling further, but at another time.

Aya - “I’m sorry, you’ve been in my home for more than 5 minutes and I haven’t even offered both of you a beverage. Please, can I offer you two libations?”

With utter shock, both Lantern’s answer in unison

Hal and Razer - “You drink?”

Aya looking back at the two boys

Aya - “Is this information that shocking?”

Razer - “Not at all! Right Hal?”

Razer giving a threatening look to Hal

Hal - “Oh yeah! Totally cool!”

Aya confused, she moves forward with her previous question

Aya - “Very well then, what can I get you two”

Hal - “You got Bourbon?”

Hal is completely joking, but low and behold, a miracle is about to be upon him

Aya goes to a random cabinet and pulls out not only a bottle of Bourbon, but the BEST type of Bourbon the simulation could create.

Aya - “On or off the rocks?”

Hal is EXCITED

Hal - “Off please!”

Aya makes and hands Hal his drink

Hal - “Ohhh thank you!”

Hal takes one sip

Hal - “Oh wow…Wowwwww I’m drunk…oafnenszsnf THIS STUFF IS AMAZING!

Aya now looking at Razer

Aya - “And for you Razer?”

Razer wanted to faint by the mere sound of her angelic voice.

Razer - “I must admit, I haven't had the best experience when it comes to drinking. Do you have anything you would recommend?”

Aya - “Of course! Sweet or bitter?”

Razer - “...sweet please.”

Aya gives a faint smile and goes off to makes them some drinks in the nearby kitchen

Hal was really confused by this. Hal asks semi-drunkenly

Hal - “Wait, sweet? I thought you like bitter stuff more?”

Razer - “Nothing wrong with trying something new.”

Hal - “Fair fair. But now what is your plan?”

Razer - “Honestly…I have no idea. I’m so scared I could shed my skin. I need her to know everything, but I…I just don’t know what to do. You are better at this stuff than I am. What do you think I should do?”

Hal about to answer, Aya comes in with two medium size glasses filled with a bluish, purple liquid. The cool part about this drink was it looked like there were diamonds in the liquid itself.

Aya - “Here you go. It's made with Savitta fruit. I hope you like it.”

Razer takes one sip, his mind is blown

Razer - “This is by far the best drink I have ever had.”

Aya is flattered and slightly blushing

Aya - “Come, we can enjoy our drink out on the patio.”

Razer and Hal share another look. Patio? Where…?There is literally no room or doors to insinuate a patio.

Hal - “What patio?”

Aya presses a button on her hand console. An entire wall opens up in the back and reveals an ginormous, beautiful garden. Filled with life. Flowers, vegetables, fruits and even fungi! All different types of life from all over the universe. All combined made a beautiful rainbow colored garden. It opened to a grand brown patio deck that extended out to the multiple gardens. What pulled this garden all together was the giant Heavture Tree in the middle of the garden. Hal could relate this tree best to a giant bur oak tree.

Hal - “This is incredible!”

Aya - “I’m glad you like it! I must admit, it took a lot of planning. An additional 2 weeks just to make sure everything was perfect. However, I believe it was worth the wait.”

Aya realizes something, she has forgotten something. Something she always does when she comes home. Call it a ritual.

Aya - “Please, make yourselves at home. I’m going to go grab something from inside.”

Aya runs off into the house

Razer in slight pain seeing Aya go out of view, he and Hal sit down on some sofas out on the patio. The sofas were so soft and were surrounding a ginormous ruby red fire pit.

Hal - “Something wrong kid?”

Razer - “I want her more than life itself. She remembers some things, but not me. Not what I did to her. Hal, what if she doesn’t forgive me?”

Hal - “You have been looking for her for a decade now. Your main mission on this quest was to find her and make things right. Razer, I know you’re afraid, but if you truly want Aya, you cannot be afraid of your feelings anymore. You have to have confidence in yourself. That confidence will show her how much she means to you. How much you need her in your life. This is your decision now Razer, what do you wanna do?”

Razer thinks for a moment

Aya returning with a tray and something on it

Aya - “Thank you for waiting. I had to grab my tray of goodies!”

This tray…ohhhhh. This truly was a tray of goodies because this is something even Hal could point out. This was a weed tray. The tray looked like it was made from diamonds. Just hueing faint rainbows everywhere. Then he turned his attention to her “piece”(bong). It was so adorable. Looked like the entire piece was made out of glass and pearls and all along the bottom, hand painted fungi. All different shades of purple, blues and greens. From there, his attention went to a nice clear jar with what appeared to be space weed inside. The buds were just like you would see on Earth, however the color of the buds were not different shades of green, but mixtures of yellow and pink. At this moment, Hal only knew one thing…He was getting crossed tonight.

Hal - “You smoke weed!?!”

Aya - “I did while I was on Earth, however along my travels, I missed the feeling weed gave me. Luckily, I crash landed on the planet Fublio and found this”

Aya shows off the buds. They were gorgeous. It looked like pink lemonade with water droplets covering the buds

Aya - “This is Watmontra! It is an equivalent to weed. But stronger and better. Would you two like to try some?

Razer - “What will happen?”

Aya - “It is perfectly safe for organic beings. It just makes you feel more relaxed and makes the being more willingly truthful.”

Razer thinks for a solid minute

Razer - “How do you do it?

Aya then goes and shows how she uses her piece. She first takes the pink-lemonade looking buds and she grinds them in a grinder. Until the plant was grinded into tiny little crumbs. She then takes the bowl of the piece and packs it with the buds she just grinded up. From there, she reaches into a wooden box, sitting on the tray of goodies. She pulls out a match with an orange tip. She puts the bowl back on the piece and places it to her mouth. She lights the match. She lights the bowl she just packed and starts to inhale. From there, she pulled off the bowl. Still inhaling, she then holds her breath. For 2 seconds, she holds her breath. Then, she releases the red color smoke into the air.

Both Lantern’s are mesmerized by Aya. Both not believing they just saw Aya smoke. Aya then hands the piece to Razer, to start the rotation. However, Aya is concerned due to Razer not acknowledging her passing the piece to him.

Razer on the other hand, could care less about anything right now. That was the hottest thing he had ever seen. Past Aya, Llana, anyone…He was turned on to the highest level, and with alcohol in his system, it could only go uphill from here.

Aya - “You don’t have to do it if you do not feel comfortable?”

Razer realizing he was leaving her hanging, he quickly grabs the piece and does exactly what Aya just did. The only problem was that Razer took a bigger hit than Aya did. Loudly coughing, Aya leans over and pats Razer on the back.

Razer then hands Hal the piece and continues the rotation. Displaying how wonderful this night had turned out to be.

Chapter Text

Meanwhile outside the simulation, Kilowog is making a break for the newly invisible Interceptor

Kilowog climbs aboard and immediately evaluates the ship battery and notes as everything is ok. He then goes to the control room. When entering, Kilowog is met by Llanos

Llanos - “Welcome back Sergent Kilowog! Was your mission a success?”

Kilowog - “Can it Lamo…I need to know if you got a message from Green Lantern Salak?”

Llanos - “Accessing…It appears there was a universal wide message sent to every corner of the universe. Accessing now”

Salak - “This message is to all the Green Lantern Corps sectors. This is an emergency transmission. Oa has fallen. I repeat Oa has fallen. We were under attack by a man who’s heart was exposed and carried a black ring. We believe he is the one the prophets fear. The one who will lead an army of death and decay upon the universe. He has taken the Green Lantern Core has been captured and taken hostage. He has plans to end all life as we know it. Fear the name Nekloron, and do not give up hope. We will preserve…”

Just like that, the message cancels out. Kilowog now realizing they were fucked…

Meanwhile back in the simulation, the trio are having a blast smoking and drinking. Letting loose for once.

Razer and Aya sitting back while listening to one of Hal’s old baseball stories

Hal - “So then…I go to swing. And out of nowhere, a fucking bowling ball rolls in front of me and I strike out! Can you believe it!”

Aya taking a hit

Aya - “Well (cough) at least now you are truly ready for anything.”

Razer - “I must admit, this plant is really relaxing”

Aya - “Well after dodging destruction and capture for so long, it’s nice to have a relaxing substance to help take some of the tension off.”

Hal and Razer exchanging a glare. Knowing they knew Aya had been through some shit. They decided to not press on it further.

Instead, Hal implements his plan to help Razer get with Aya. Mission: Leave the fucking room you cockblocker!

Hal - “ (Yawning loudly) Well guys, I gotta say, I am pooped. I might turn in early tonight.”

Razer - “Are you sure?”

Hal looked at Razer and tried to give him hints to what Hal was planning. Example winking, patting Razer on the back multiple times. Anything to get the point across to him.

Hal - “I’m sure buddy.”

Aya - “If both of you wish to turn in early, I can show you both to your rooms?”

Hal - “Oh thank you A. But I think Razer is still up. Aren't you Razer?”

Razer trying to figure out what Hal’s game was. He finally caught on and went with Hal’s brilliant plan.

Razer - “Huh? Oh, oh right. Yes I am not so tired.”

Razer turning to Aya

Razer - “Would it be acceptable to, well if you are not tired yourself that is. To umm…”

Razer looks at Aya and is entranced by her. Her gentle smile towards him was making him weak in the knees. Thinking it over, he does not want to leave her side, period. He wants to stay up with Aya. Whether it's them talking all night long or them just being in complete silence, Razer wants to experience everything with Aya.

Razer - “Would you like to spend more time with me?”

Razer didn’t realize how blunt he just was, but then remembers a past memory of when he was possessed by Noroxix. An alien that can take over another's person's body at will. He got possessed and the alien flirted with Aya. He remembered how sad Aya was to learn that it was not him wanting to give her special attention. After rethinking that, he knew it was blunt but it needed to be done. He needed Aya to know that he wants and is going to be sticking around for a long time.

Aya kinda shocked, yet excited

Aya - ``I would love to…I will show Hal to his room, then return shortly. If that’s alright with you?”

Razer - “Perfect”

Aya - “Come Hal. I will show you the way.”

Hal - “Thanks A”

Hal leaning in to whisper to Razer

Hal - “Hey, you got this! Go get her!”

Razer - “Thank you Hal. For everything”

Hal pats Razer on the shoulder and makes his way to follow Aya to the guest rooms. As Hal makes his way in, Aya looks back and gives Razer a soft faint smile. Getting him excited for what's to come. Whatever happens, He was going to get Aya her memories back. Even if that meant she would never forgive him.

Meanwhile, far away from Aya’s home, Kevlin's grand ball had just begun. It was being held in Kevlins grand mansion. High above everyone else, on top of the highest hill. Everyone who came seemed to be enjoying themselves. All but one. Kevlin is sitting on his grand throne chair, in the back middle of the ballroom, sulking. Seemeling getting madder and madder every second.

Kevlin - “Deny me…ME! I mean, I am the most perfect match for her. Why can she not see it.”

Curious, Kevlin pulls out a hand held, black square device with white buttons

Kevlin - “Show me A”

The device did as it was told and was now showing him a clear image of A, Walking out to her patio, and who’s there? Kevlins new arch nemesis, Razer. Kevlin listens in to their conversation.

Aya - “Thank you again for waiting. I’m so sorry for all the back and forth. ”

Razer - “I don't mind the wait.”

Kevlin looks at the monitor, just envious of the way A was looking at Razer. This gets Kevlin mad. He breaks the device in his hands. He then looks off to the corner storage room hidden in plain sight in the ballroom. He stares at it for a solid moment before he decides to get up and walk to the storage room.

Kevlin - “If I cannot persuade you that we are meant for each other, then, I will just have to show both of you who you really are…”

Meanwhile, back at Aya’s home, Razer and Aya are now sitting together. Side by side, by a roaring fire.

Razer “Thank you for, well…”

Aya “It is my pleasure. Besides, now I get to ask my questions.”

Razer drunk, high and now, curious

Razer “Questions?”

Aya leans back, getting herself comfortable for the conversation up ahead

Aya “ I must admit, when I first saw you I was indeed curious, yet I kept my composure due to the topics being too personal or blunt.”

Razer is elated to hear that Aya wants to learn more about him too. He can't help but smile from ear to ear.

Razer “Then please…ask away.”

Aya “How is it you are both a red and a blue Lantern?”

Razer ``Before meeting Green Lantern Hal I was just a Red Lantern. Following orders from the wretched, Atrocitis. Lord of all the Red Lantern Corps.He was planning to take out the Green Lantern Corps as a whole, and then, enslave the entire universe in anger and rage. However, a side mission went south. I was left to die by the Red Lanterns and I got picked up by Hal as a prisoner. At first he threw me in jail, but then I proved my worth and Hal decided to give me a chance. A chance to change for the better. He along with other crewmates helped me find my path that led me to my new blue ring.``

Aya “I see. And your ring. How does it differ between your red ring and Hal’s green ring?”

Razer pauses for a moment

Razer “The green ring represents willpower and red anger. The blue ring represents hope.”

Aya “Hope?”

Razer shakes his head yes

Razer “Hope is the sole reason I set out on my quest a decade ago. The reason I keep going.”

Aya “I see. Processing. What exactly was your quest?”

Razer chuckles while he takes a sip of his drink

Razer “I am more than happy to tell my story, however I do wish to know more about you first. Assuming you are alright with that”

Getting a confidence boost from both the alcohol and space weed, Razer gives Aya a look of desire and want. Aya is melting.

Aya “This is…acceptable. What would you like to know?”

Razer “Let’s start with something simple. You said previously that Kevlin hosts these balls and the residents must dress to the theme. I’m curious to ask, what would you have worn tonight if you had gone?”

Aya is stunned, then begins to smile. She quickly pressed some buttons on her arm console. One moment, Aya was wearing her white dress with blue roses. In what appeared to be only seconds, she quickly changed into an extravagant white sparkly ball gown with a giant slit down the right side of the dress. Revealing Aya’s bare leg. The dress appeared to be shifting colors with the different hues of light from the roaring fire. Creating a faint rainbow as the main color of the dress. The dress itself was full of tull, gems and glitter. Semi sweetheart neckline with the fabric almost fading into Aya’s skin. Her skin, it glistened in the light. And her hair… It was in a high messy ponytail with flower gemstones embedded throughout her ponytail. Perfectly matching her glasses and now blinged out pump heels.

Razer is left speechless. Leaving him to only smile like a love sick school boy.

Aya “Do you have any more questions, Razer?”

Razer “Multiple. But I also do have one statement to make.”

Razer looks directly into Aya’s eyes

Razer “You are so beautiful A.”

Aya is left stunned…she has no words. She has never been left speechless before and doesn't know how to process this new information

Razer “I am curious though about your glasses. You are an artificial intelligence. Yet you wear them as if you depend on them for everyday tasks. Why?”

Aya “While trying to escape a prison base once, don't ask. I had to go through a highly advanced magnetic shield. While trying to push my way though, my code got stuck. I tried everything that I could think of, nothing was working. But I did not want to go back. Not to that torture. So I pushed, and pushed, with all the strength I had left. Until finally, I broke through. I made it out safely, but there was a price for my freedom. I had permanently damaged a part of my code. Overall I was fine. But I knew it was going to have an effect on my physical form. I ran all the tests and found that the best course of action was to forever impair my vision.”

Razer “I’m sorry…”

Aya “It is in the past. All I can do now is move forward. Speaking of moving forward, may I continue with my questions?”

Razer “By all means”

Aya “What made you start your quest a decade ago?”

Razer “ A girl. I, heh…Originally I had a fiancee. Sweet girl. But she was murdered by Atrocotis. In an attempt to get me to become a Red Lantern. It worked. I was fueled by anger and rage for years because of what happened that day. Then I met her…She was a part of the Green Lantern crew that helped me find my way. She helped me find hope. She is my hope…One day the crew got into a battle with a new villain named the Anti Monitor. I was cut off from the ship. It honestly didn't look good for me. But then she came and saved me. However in the process of saving me, she was greatly damaged. I thought she was dying. I thought I was losing someone I cared about again. Out of pure emotion, I told her I loved her. She then vanished in my hands. Hours go by, everyone thinks she is dead. But come to find out she survived. She made her way back to the Interceptor and was now standing right in front of me. I lost it. I thought she was gone, for good. I thought I had put her in harm's way because she had to come and save me. And I couldn’t save her. Also thought I was back to being alone again. So again, in pure emotion, I told her I did not love her anymore.”

Aya just looked at Razer with mad confusion.

Aya “Forgive me, I am confused. You said you both did and did not love your fellow crewmate? In a very short period of time as well?

Razer hesitant, he answers

Razer “That is correct”

Aya “Then which statement is true? Do you love her? Or do you not?”

This hurt. This is ripping Razer apart badly. Not only is he finally having the conversation that has been on his mind for the past decade, but she still does not remember anything. Which makes this ten times harder than if he had just been truthful about his feelings in the beginning, he would not have to go through with all this mess. But that's the problem. He did create this mess. Now, he has to fix it. It is the only way to make things right.

Razer “I do love her…I lied about not loving her.”

Aya “You lied?”

Razer shakes his head in agreement

Aya “Why?”

Razer “I was selfish. I did not want to deal or address the current pain and suffering I was going through. I didn’t want to talk or discuss anything. Just, suppress, just as before. And I thought that if I took back my confession, it wouldn't matter. I did not think she felt the same way about me so I did not believe it would be a big deal. I cannot express to you how wrong I was. Not only was I wrong about the whole situation, but I was also wrong about her. Not only did she have feelings for me, she now had her first heartbreak, because of me. That. That hurts me the most. That I did that to her. She did not deserve anything I did to her…Anyways, one day we were trying to save the universe. She obviously came up with a plan and saved everyone that day, but she also gave herself to save everyone. I lost her again that day. But I know she is out there. I will find her, and I will let her know how sorry I am. And how I will and have become more of the man she needs now. If she’ll have me that is.”

Aya now looks at Razer with a more sympathetic look.

Aya “ If you truly have traveled across the universe for a decade to find her just to tell her you are sorry, I think she could at least forgive that.”

Razer now realizes that this is it. This is the moment he has been waiting for. He is scared shit, but he is going to get Aya back, period.

Razer “ You mentioned earlier you were looking for something. Or rather someone. Who were you searching for?”

Aya “I…processing….”

Razer “You don’t have to share if you don't want to?”

Aya looks up to meet Razer’s gaze

Aya “You were kind enough to answer my questions and save my life. In a way, I do owe you.”

Aya takes a deep breath and proceeds

Aya “I don’t know why I felt the need to leave. But, I knew I needed to. I also knew that I needed to do it on my own. So, on May 30th, 2018, I left that cab and set off on my own quest of sorts. I searched and searched and searched. Trying to find answers. About me, the universe, life itself. Anything.”

Razer “What did you find?”

Aya “I found some things, but some things are still fuzzy. Like, like a dream almost.”

Razer thought carefully about what to say next

Razer “You said you were looking for information about your past. Do you remember anything from your past? Any family?”

Aya thought for a moment. Was she really about to get this personal with a complete stranger? Who already had a love interest in mind? Yes…yes she was. She gets up and extends her hand out to Razer

Aya “ Come with me”

Razer was shocked, he couldn't move for a moment. Due to how goddess-like Aya truly was. Razer comes to his senses and takes Aya’s hand. Aya takes Razer and leads him to a dirt path leading to the back of the garden, beyond the grand tree. Along the way, they passed by the most beautiful plots of flowers Razer had ever seen. But nothing could compare to the flower that was guiding him right now. They had wandered for a couple of minutes until they arrived at the back of the garden. There lay a little shack, barely unkempt. Looking like it was where she hides all her gardening tools. Aya opens the door and Razer is blown away. He walks in to find not tools or an underkeep hut, but a secret plot of flowers. Hidden from the rest of the garden. What was interesting about these flowers were that these were the exact same flowers Razer had given Aya many years ago.

Aya ``These flowers are one of the only clues I have that relates to my past memories. I don’t know what the visions mean, but I know they were important enough for me to remember after my reboot. So in an attempt to find out more information, I went to the planet Volkrege. I searched for hours until I found one. However, my presence was not welcomed. The inhabitants of Volkrege told me to leave and never come back. So, that's what I did. I quickly plucked the flower and flew off. Never looking back.``

Razer is trying to follow what Aya is saying, but he is dumbfounded and is left with an open jaw. Aya notices this, and decides to go a little deeper with her questions.

Aya “Forgive me but, I must ask, earlier you said you fought an enemy called the anti-monitor. Tell me, have you ever faced the Aya-Monitor before?

Razer takes a large gulp before answering

Razer “Yes…I have”

Aya “What did she look like?”

Razer took another longer breath. Preparing him for what's about to come.

Razer “...Just like you.”

Aya paused for a moment

Aya “ What if I told you I am the Aya Monitor”

Razer immediately snaps

Razer “NO!”

Aya is taken aback

Razer “That thing was a virus…Nothing but pure evil came from that damn monitor virus…But Aya…you..You are pure. You are the light this universe has been missing. What I have been missing…”

Aya starting to put two and two together

Aya “What are you saying?”

Razer starts to walk closer. Extending his arms to take Aya’s hands into his own.

Razer “ I don't know how to say this without being blunt. But you deserve to know the truth. Aya…I”

Just as Razer is about to confess his feelings. Who decides to bust down the shed door and show up unannounced? Why our dear friend Kevlin of course…and he’s not happy.

Chapter Text

Kevlin is drunk. He stumbles into the little shack, where he finds Aya and Razer holding hands. Practically embracing one another. This fuels Kevlin with a fiery rage.

Aya “Kevlin?”

Kevlin just stares at them before speaking

Kevlin “You…have a lot of nerve. I mean, I’m right here…We both are artificial intelligences, we are the same… We are a PERFECT MATCH! And yet you choose him over me?”

Kevlin now points his attention to Razer.

Kevlin “You…you think you know who she is? What she’s done?”

Aya “Kevlin. Stop.”

Kevlin “ Well let me tell you something, Mr. Hot Shot! You are currently having a discussion with a murderer.”

Aya “KEVLIN!”

Kevlin “ Ohhhhh and that’s not all! She also is the real life Aya Monitor! She HATES organic life! That's why she tried to destroy you beings way back when.”

Kevlin waving what appears to be a hard drive in Razer’s face. Now he turns his attention to Aya due to his new epiphany while ranting.

Kevlin ``That's why you brought him back here…isn’t it? You were going to kill them off one by one starting with him! Hahaha! Oh, and to think I thought I couldn't be anymore attracted to you.”

Kevlin started to walk towards Aya like a stalker would. Aya just dumbfounded by how insane Kevlin really was

Aya “You are talking illogically! I never meant to go rogue and you know that!”

Aya turns to walk towards Razer to try and convince him he did not make a mistake in trusting her.

Aya “ I…I don’t know why I did it… but all I know is that I am not like that. Not anymore that is.”

Kevlin busting in on this precious moment

Kevlin “ Oh please…you are a murderer. ADMIT IT!”

Kevlin is now hovering over Aya, Aya’s scared shit, and Razer can see this.

Just then, Razer strikes a powerful and brutal punch to the face. Making Kevlin stumble back and onto the ground. While on the ground, Kevlin clutches his jaw. Which appears to now be glitching right where Razer hit him. Razer on the other hand is about 2 seconds away from annihilating him period point blank.

Razer “Shut…Up…You know nothing.”

Razer then turns to Aya and starts to hold her by her shoulders, not wanting to let go.

Razer “I know you were the Aya Monitor, but I also know that you never killed anyone. You only absorbed lifeless planets and star systems across the universe.”

Aya “How do you know this?”

Kevlin speaks up while still on the floor recovering

Kevlin - “Yah how?”

Razer was hesitant, but this was a now or never situation.

Razer “Because I was there. I was there from the moment you saved me from my prison cell in a spider guild prison to the moment I lost you after you created a virus to destroy all of the Aya program. To ensure not one copy you made would ever harm life or re become the Aya Monitor.”

Aya is in shock

Aya “ Then do you know why I went rogue?”

Razer swallowing a lump in his throat and closes his eyes

Razer “Me…I…Do you remember that story I told you about earlier? The one about the girl I’m searching for?”

Aya shakes her head yes

Razer “Aya…”

Razer cups Aya’s cheek, still not letting go by wrapping his remaining hand around her tightly.

Razer - “My Aya. It’s you...”

Aya “Me?”

Razer “I have searched and looked all across this universe three times over trying to find you. I knew you were not dead, that you couldn’t truly delete yourself from existence because you are not just a machine. You are a spirit entity and an artificial intelligence. One cannot coexist without the other. You are immortal, because you come from a strain of the Green Lantern Core itself. I hurt you, but I am here 10 years 5 months 23 days 45 minutes and 34 seconds later to beg you for your forgiveness, and selfishly ask if you would be with me for the rest of my life…”

Aya “Razer…”

Kevlin sways up to his knees first then up on his feet

Kevlin “Forgiveness? HA! You want her forgiveness because you ‘hurt her feelings’? If you want my opinion, you should be asking forgiveness for this!”

Kevlin pulls out a tablet out of thin air and plugs in the hard drive he waved around earlier. He starts to pull up a video. The video starts playing and both Razer and Aya don’t understand how Kevlin got this video. The video footage of the day Aya tried to implement her plans of wiping the universe of life and trying to replace it with lifeless machines. Specifically the part where Hal is trying to talk Aya out of her plans while Razer seemingly comes up behind her and stabs her in the back with a knife, but the video cuts off where Razer is about to make the final blow.

Aya now pissed turns to Kevlin

Aya “How do you have that?”

Kevlin “Did you really think that I let you in my simulation without doing a hard background check. Not only did I find out who you were and what you have done, but I downloaded all of your memory banks.”

Aya “What?”

Kevlin ``That's right, I saw every memory you had left after you tried killing yourself. This one, being your last memory. HE STRUCKED YOU DOWN AND KILLED YOU!”

Aya confused, she can only muster one word over and over again

Aya “Processing, processing, processing…”

Razer squeezes her hand to try and pull her back to reality.

Razer “He is right. That memory did happen.”

Aya looks at Razer with such sadness in her eyes

Razer “But that’s not how it ended.”

Razer pulls out his ring and plays his recorded footage of that day. How it really went down. He plays it all out. Razer coming in hot with a knife, Aya blasting him before he could strike her, Aya realizing she hurt Razer, she undid everything she tried to make the universe out to be and destroyed the time traveling device. She also sees where Razer confesses his love and tries to make her stay. To not leave him. But what was done was done.

Aya started to look up at Razer, starting to get teary eyed. But Razer did not want her to just see that one memory, he wanted her to see all her memories.

So, Razer takes a step back and using both rings, he portrays screens all around her. Showing all the memories they have spent together. Everything from when they first met to random days where they would just talk for hours. The more Aya looked at these memories, the more she started to remember them all herself. One by one, all her memories started to flood back. Then in just an instant, a subtle glitch comes across Aya’s eyes. Aya now looks up at Razer with a face that Razer cannot read. It was both confusing and determined. Aya walks up to Razer slowly, going through all the constructed memories to stand right in front of him. She looks at him, then gently puts her hand on his cheek, cupping it in a way. Aya whispers

Aya “You came back for me?”

Razer can’t hold it in anymore, he just flats out cries

Razer “Always…”

Aya now crying as well

Aya “My love…”

Razer “My Aya…”

Before they both knew it, both were leaning in and embracing each other with a deep and passionate kiss. One that had been in the making for over a decade. Deepening the kiss, Razer picks Aya up, spinning her in circles while she holds onto him tighter and tighter. Neither one wanting to let go

Kevlin is now sick with envy. He then picks himself up and lunges at Razer with all his force. Kevlin coming in close, Aya spots Kevlin. She stopped kissing Razer and turned into defensive mode, protecting her love.

She blasts Kevlin back down to the ground where he belongs.

Aya “You will not harm him!”

Aya states while clutching onto Razer. Razer also having no intentions of letting go.

Kevlin smirks cynically, turning to face the happy couple.

Kevlin “I don't need to.”

He pulls out his tablet, about to press a important button

Kevlin “Parting is such sweet sorrow…”

Kevlin presses a button, and poof. Razer disappears without a trace.

Aya heart drops

Aya “Razer?...RAZER!!! No, no please. Come back. Come back to me, my love please!”

Aya balling her eyes out now stares at Kevlin in utter disgust.

Aya “What have you done with him!”

Kevlin “I told you. I run the show here. Anyone who gets in my way will be dealt with accordingly. And as of right now, it seems best to remove the problem permanently.”

Kevlin starts to get up slowly making his way towards Aya

Kevlin “ Now, be a good little girl and hold still, this is going to sting a little.”

Kevlin presses a button on his tablet and immediately Aya falls to the ground in agony. She is now being under attack by a virus designed to specifically harm her. In this moment, Kevlin believes all hope is lost and he will finally get what he desires most.

Chapter Text

Aya on the ground in the fetal position. Kevlin just watches Aya crumbling with agony. Standing over her to glote about his powers.

Kevlin - “Had enough?”

Aya looks up at the monster hovering over her in disgust, not answering.

Kevlin - “Don’t worry, just accept to be my queen for all of eternity and the pain will end. I give you my word.”

Aya - “No…”

Kevlin is cracking…

Kevlin - “What was that?”

Aya - “I would never ack…agree to be your queen…huff…for you see…my king is already waiting for me…”

Aya says while in the most pain she has ever faced

Kevlin is now getting angrier and angrier.

Kevlin - “Well then, have it your way…but let it be known, that no matter what option you choose, you will still become my queen. And we will rule this simulation together for all eternity and live happily ever after! This, I promise!”

Kevlin then stands straight and starts to increase the data virus he made for Aya. Aya, not able to bear much more, she starts to cry. Crying out for Razer to hear her.

Aya - “Raz….Razer…I…I Love you. I love you-”

Kevlin - “Shut Up! You little BITCH-”

Kevlin while distracted was suckered punch in the face by none other than Hal Jordan. While Kevlin stumbled backwards, Kevlin dropped his tablet that controlled Aya. Aya, now free from Kevlin’s control, Jordan then followed through by swinging with a large hoe he found in the corner of the little shack opening. Hitting a main support beam to make it all come down around Kevlin. Kevlin getting caught under the rubble, Jordan grabs Aya and Kevlin’s tablet in time to escape before the shack collapses around them.

Aya and Hal Jordan now outside staring at the newly demolished shed

Hal - “Are you ok?”

Aya - “I am fine…Razer, Kevlin did something to Razer! We need to find him!”

Hal - “Don’t worry, I think this should help us out.”

Hal holding up Kevlin’s tablet. They are both now scrolling and searching for where Razer was in the simulation.

Hal - “Ok so it looks like Razer was booted out of the simulation.”

Aya - “He is ok? What are his vitals?”

Hal - “All normal, he’s ok. He’s ok…”

Aya now a tad bit relieved, she now looks towards the pile of rubble. She knows what must be done. Aya then starts to mess with Kevlin’s tablet.

Hal now getting curious

Hal - “ What are you doing?”

Aya - “Leveling the playing field”

Aya completes her tasks and suddenly the whole simulation begins to glitch. All the residents notice this when they see the sky glitching from day to night, sunrise to sunset.

Hal - “What did you do?”

Aya - “Kevlin wants to give me another virus, fine. He will get one too. One that will decrease his initial powers and limit what he can do to me.”

Aya now turns to Hal

Aya - “Hal, I need you to get out of here to one, make sure Razer is alright, but two, to make sure what I am about to do doesn’t affect you or the residents here. They wanted a happy ending. Unfortunately this world was not what they needed. They need to experience life to its full capabilities, no matter what the consequences. Please, make sure everyone gets out safely…”

Hal looks upon what he sees as a little sister, so proud of her accomplishments.

Hal - “I’m proud of you kid. It's good to have you back.”

Aya goes in for a hug.

Aya - “You as well Green Lantern Hal.”

Hal and Aya having a sweet moment, brother and sister giving one last farewell hug before everything goes down.

Kevlin now regains some of his strength, he now is starting to wake up from underneath the rubble. Aya and Hal knew their reunion time was up due to the rumbling noise.

Aya - “Ready?”

Hal - “Yep! See yah on the other side!”

Aya then uses Kevlin’s tablet to send Jordan back to the real world, where he will do what needs to be done. As Aya waits for her opponent, she contemplates what her strategy and plan of attack would be. She then thought it over and realized nothing mattered as long as she could protect her love. Not only him, but everyone she comes to care about along the way. That's when she got an idea. She took Kevlins Tablet and ran towards her home and barricaded inside.

Meanwhile, outside the simulation, Green Lantern Hal is now coming too after being in a deep coma. Disoriented, Jordan tries to sit up slowly, but quickly realizes he is constrained by an oxygen mask and wires sticking all over his body. Assessing the situation, Hal rips the wires away and pulls back the oxygen mask. Suddenly he hears a pleading voice towards his left. That’s where Hal sees Razer, messing with the central computer and the scumbag clerk from the store front seemingly begging Razer to listen to him. That’s when Hal remembered there were armed guards around the room before. That is also when he saw all the armed guards in question unconscious, piled sky high in the corner of the room. All the weapons had been seemingly taken and melted into hot metal.

Store Clerk “Please! I am begging you, stop messing with the computer, you will ruin everything!”

Razer zoned out, not giving a flying FUCK what this man was saying. Pressing a couple more buttons, Razer then starts to beg quietly.

Razer - “Please…please, please come back to me…”

Determined, Razer continues on and tries everything he can think of. Anything to get his love back.

Suddenly Hal speaks up

Hal - “Kid…”

Razer stops and takes note of his friend that he honestly completely forgot about

Razer - “Oh knortz Hal”

Razer races to Hal and helps him untangle himself and assist him off the gurney.

Razer - “Are you alright? What happened?””

Hal - “Aya…She…”

Razer - “What about Aya? HAL PLEASE!”

Hal - “She… sent me out, after I helped her… escape Kevlin.”

Razer - “Where is she now Hal?”

Hal - “She’s still in there. We…we need to get everyone out of here”

Razer - “What!”

Hal - “Aya has a plan, but in order for her to do it, we need to clear everyone out first.”

As Hal and Razer look back, realizing they have their work cutout for them with the dozens of bodies in the room.

Hal - “Oh boy”

Meanwhile, back inside the simulation, Aya barricaded in a secret bunker she made after the initial construction of her home was complete. Tiny, but effective. After settling in, she then takes Kevlins tablet and starts livestreaming to the entire community.

Unbeknownst to anyone about what the situation is, all parties are out like it was a normal day. Until Aya goes live that is.

Aya - “Citizens of Edetheral. My name is Aya and I have lived beside you all for the past 3 years. I came here because I was lost, afraid and alone. I wanted to escape and unlock the good ending to life itself. But this, this is not how that goal is achieved. Living life is hard. Challenging. And most definitely tedious. But I am here to tell you that it is all worth it.”

Meanwhile outside the simulation, Hal and Razer are trying to explain the situation to the bewildered Store Clerk. Just then, all started to hear Aya’s message come through on their end. They pause and start to listen.

Aya - “Take me for example. I fell in love, but my love did not feel the same about me. So I ran away…made mistakes…ones I can never undo…but then he came back…he came back, for me. He is the sole reason I want to live life again. Him along with my family I made along the way. They give me hope that I can live life and be ok, no matter what happens. I want that for all of you too. That's what I want. But I cannot force you, It is up to you. And you alone. I implore you all, please, urge to live again and ACK…..”

Razer in tears by Aya’s speech was cut to a cry of agony when he heard her message get cut.

Razer - “AYA!”

Meanwhile back in the simulation, Kevlin finally made his way into the bunker. Knocking Aya to the ground with the debris and rubble.

Kevlin floating down towards Aya.

Kevlin - “Honestly, It’s like I don’t even know you anymore. I mean, you now want organic life to live, you hypocrite? Those animals should be slaughtered by our hands…they are nothing but dirt compared to us. You must see this?”

Aya - ``You are right, I am a hypocrite. But there is a difference between you and me.”

Kevlin - “And what’s that, my love?”

Aya now pissed off with a bad taste in her mouth. Aya staggers to her knees.

Aya - “First, don’t EVER call me that. Second, I learn from my mistakes.”

Aya then points to the tablet, with its camera pointing right at them both. Kevlin worried and picked up his tablet to come to find the worst thing imaginable. All the residents resigned from the simulation.

Kevlin “...huh”

Meanwhile outside the simulation we find Razer and Hal in a verbal argument with the Store Clerk about his “patients”.

Store Clerk - “Ohhhh no! You may not want to have stayed, but these people are paying customers. They paid to be here. Remove them and you have a ginormous intergalactic lawsuit on your hands. I can promise you that!.”

Just then, the old lady the group encountered earlier awoke from her coma.

Old Lady - “Oh. Oh my…where…oh hello again”

One by one, others followed until the entire community had retired from the simulation

Hal - “Atta girl! Alright everyone listen up. We will help you out of here, but we must move quickly”

Just then, Kilowog makes his grand entrance in the facility by using his trusty hammer and making a new door.

Hal - “Kilowog! Oh are we glad to see you buddy! Listen, we got to get everyone out of here right now.”

Kilowog - “Jordan we have a serious problem. I mean BIG problem.”

Just then, the main central computer is going crazy. Sparks are flying and are making a really weird buzzing noise. Everyone is now worried and cautious.

Now realizing the immitied danger to civilians, Kilowog goes into soldier mode.

Kilowog - “Well what's keeping yah poozers, we gotta get these people out of here pronto!”

Hal and Razer slightly shake their heads in disbelief and follow in his lead.

Chapter Text

As the 3 Lanterns start to help the people from the simulation get unhooked from the wires and get them all to safety, the scumbags who operated the whole operation/organization escaped out of the newly made hole in the wall (provided by the good Sergeant himself).

Kilowog was the first to notice this and was utterly appalled by his error.

Kilowog - “Aghhh…they’re getting away!”

Hal - “ Forget about them, we gotta get all these people out of here.”

Jordan looks over at the main central computer going haywire with sparks and loud alarm sounds. Buttons glowing like Christmas morning, it was getting serious.

Hal whispers to himself while looking at the spectacle in front of him.

Hal “C’mon kid…you got this.”

As he said this, more sparks flew not only from the main computer, but now the ceiling lights are going off too. Causing all the lanterns to now concentrate on getting all the residents out of the building and to safety, quickly.

Hal now more serious than before

Hal “Alright. Let’s Move!”

Meanwhile inside the simulation, Kevlin on the other hand is really trying to turn things around, because this is not how he thought this was gonna go.

Sure, he had everyone in a signed and locked contract with no way of backing out. But leave it to Aya to find a loophole within the system.

She reminded the residents to live again. And the first step in doing that is to wake up, and open their eyes.

Kevlin tried to beg the residents of Edetherial to stay, trying to reason with each of them personally.

Kevlin - “No. No please, please stay. I, I can change. Things will be different.”

Random Resident - “Yah, like you said you would stop the 3 minimum vouchers?”

They said in a snarky tone. Kevlin responded confused.

Kevlin - “ You all love my parties?...”

Another resident piped in on the A & B conversation.

2nd Random Resident - “ HA! If anything, we like it when you get black out drunk. That way we all can go home early!”

After the 2nd resident said this, both residents resigned from the simulation. Leaving Kevlin to beg all over again.

He tried and tried, but no matter what he said, the residents had seen enough and decided to take the leap of faith Aya impressively implied. They wanted to live again and make their own choices.

Kevlin “Please stay, please! Ok, ok, I will increase the vouchers to…10! 10 uses instead of 3. Come on…that's a pretty good deal hahahaHAHAHAHAHA. I NEED THIS… PLEASE!”

As the last resident leaves the simulation, Kevlin has a mental breakdown. All he had created was now gone. He lost it, sending lightning currents across the simulation's sky. Screaming, causing all of Editheral to shift and change.

Kevlin - “ RRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!”

From once a nice endless field filled with homes and nature, now replaces the plains with enormous dark grey mountains with steep terrain. All of the homes, now shattered and destroyed. In the center of the new Edetherial, Kevlin made a new castle for himself. Making it a gothic and demonic looking home, luring high above all the rest.

As Aya was getting smacked back and forth by all of the new mountains developing, she started to remember her past, and what she is capable of.

About to slam into another mountain, Aya glitches just in time to a clear area until she needs to glitch again.

Now able to control her own abilities, she makes her way to Kelvin’s new home. High, high on top of the tallest new mountain.

As Aya makes her way up the mountain and inside, Kevlin is just sitting in his newly created throne room, eyeing her down like prey.

Aya fed up with all the bullshit, she calls out Kevlin.

Aya - “ It’s over Kevlin, you have lost. Everyone is gone. You have no one else to push around anymore.”

Kevlin rethinking the situation, he now realizes that he has the upper hand.

Kevlin - “Are you sure about that my dear?”

Kevlin getting up from his throne and slowly walking down a newly made staircase.

Kevlin - “ Yes, you did get rid of the residents which I admit is very annoying. But sweetheart, you were always the goal.”

Kelvins places his hand on Aya’s cheek. Aya immediately repulsed the action and swat his hand clear away.

Kevlin now walks around Aya, circling her like a shark.

Kevlin - “My whole dream changed when I met you. Sure I will miss bossing around all the little people, but when I met you, all I wanted was for you to stay with me forever. And now, all my dreams have come true. I have you and your code. You can never leave here. You and I will fall in love and be together forever! Hahahahahaha!

As Aya looks upon Kevlin in absolute terror, outside the simulation, the 3 lanterns are getting the final set of residents out to safety. As they were escorting everybody out, the main computer started to catch a signal. Everyone still in the building can now hear what Kevlin and Aya are saying.

Razer catches wind of this and cannot move. Hal notices too and tells Razer the following.

Hal - “Go, we got this.”

Razer is grateful for ever meeting Hal in the first place.

Razer - “Thank you Hal!”

As Hal turns to help guide the rest of the residents to safety, Razer goes in front of the computer, trying to hear what was happening. If Aya was ok.

Meanwhile in the simulation, Kevlin is still circling Aya like prey

Kevlin “ I have you my queen, you’re mine, all mine!”

Kevlin goes in for a hug, Aya revolts, she blasts Kevlin back. Kevlin with now cinched cloths, lightly bruised, looks up at Aya in confusion.

Kevlin - “ You must look at the situation logically, my love…you know I’m right.”

Not a flinch in Aya’s body or movements

Aya - “ I may be trapped here forever. But I will never be your queen or your love. I will fight, run, hide. I will do anything to keep away from you, you creep!”

Razer hearing this, he is confused and saddened that Aya doesn’t realise her full potential. He must remind her immediately.

Razer - “ forever…Wait a minute Aya. Aya!”

Aya about to blast Kevlin flat off his high horse, she hears a familiar sound. Her love.

Razer “ Aya. Aya! Aya, can you hear me?””

Aya noticing and calling out

Aya - “ Razer?”

Razer - “ Aya you can't stay here forever. I..I’m sorry, but I have searched all over the universe for you and I am not giving up on us now. There… There is so much we need to experience together. Remember, you are not purely artificial. You are an entity of a living being. You are willpower my love. Please come back to me Aya…I need you. I LOVE YOU AYA!”

Razer ending his statement in tears, he is desperate. He keeps repeating himself

Razer - “AYA! AYA I LOVE YOU! AYA!”

Aya hears this, hearing his cries and starts to rethink everything. He was right. She is partly the embodiment of willpower. She was curiosity. But most of all, she was creation.

As Aya accepted this, she started to think about what she wanted. And what she wanted was to be with her family til the end of time.

Suddenly, a bright pale green/white light appears to glow on Aya’s chest.

Kevlin seeing this, confused, he called out

Kevlin - “ What is this?”

The bright light starts to embody Aya as a whole and Aya feels the willpower of all that came before her. To help create this feeling and emotion.

Kevlin shocked, he goes straight into denial and calls out

Kevlin - “I am the creator of this simulation. YOUR CODE BELONGS TO ME!”

Aya looks at Kevlin in a calm demeanor.

Aya - “ But that’s just it. I am not just code.”

As Aya says this, way back on the Interceptor, something was emerging from the main central battery.

Aya - “ I am creation.”

The object starts to form within the green energy of the main central battery of the Interceptor, creating a brand new Green Lantern ring.

Back at the simulation building, Hal and Kilowog finished evacuating all the residents to safety and they headed back to help Razer anyway they can.

Kilowog - “What’s Happening?”

Razer in tears just planted in front of the main computer, waiting to hear what's going to happen next.

Kilowog - “Razer?”

Suddenly, a bright light emerged from the center of the main computer inside of the simulation building. Blinding all 3 lanterns, now just standing by.

Meanwhile, back in the simulation…

Aya “I am willpower. And I am the one who decides my own fate.”

Just then, the newly made green lantern ring now starts to emerge from the main central battery aboard the Interceptor. Seemingly sparkling in green glitter.

Aya closed her eyes, hoping what she was about to do would work.

Aya - “In brightest day, in blackest night. No evil shall escape my site.”

The ring shoots out from the interceptor’s main central battery and flies straight through its windows and flies to where the new barrer of the ring was.

The ring flew straight into the simulation building and halted right in front of the main computer. All 3 Lanterns knew what was about to happen.

Kilowog - “ Is that?...”

The main computer is now going into critical mode.

Aya “ Let those who worship evil's might…Beware my power…”

Aya holds her hand high in the sky, calling for her new ring.

Aya “ Green Lanterns Light.”

Instantly, the ring recognizes Aya as the new barrer and slams straight into the computer, leaving a considerable indent. Making the computer itself seemingly shut down from an outside point of view.

Inside the simulation, everything Kevlin had made stayed the same, but the colors got gloomier, and more grey. Like if the ink was running out.

As Aya holds up her hand, she feels something pulling her. Pulling her away from the simulation, but not ripping her code/identity away from her as well.

She gives in to this new feeling and she shoots up higher into the sky. Her form now changes into a strain of pure green energy, Her natural true form. She is calling out to her ring.

Her ring hears her, and the ring starts to get sparks of green energy wrapping around it.

From outside of the simulation, it started first with an unclear construct, forming inside the new ring. But the energy became stronger, the construct started to form a physical construct of a humanoid body.

While all this is happening inside the main computer, all the 3 lanterns can do is stand and watch. All they can see is a bright green light around where the ring smashed into the computer. It also appeared the light itself was growing bigger.

Kilowog - “What's the knarzt is happening!”

Hal - “ I don’t know…”

Razer scared shit

Razer - “AYA!...AYA!”

Razer keeps calling out to Aya.

Aya hears this, and wants to be in Razers arms immediately.

As Aya is birthing her new body, her hand reaches out of the computer, begging to be pulled.

Aya “RAZZZEEERRR”

Razer hearing this, he immediately leaps into action. He jumps up and grabs the green construct hand. Knowing it was his love.

Razer “ Aya! Aya I got you! I’m here!”

While Razer is pulling Aya, he sees what appears to be a normal construct of a humanoid body, but then starts to notice the construct begins to show lines of circuits, boards and panels.

He realized not only was Aya using her ring to create a construct of her own physical body, but is also infusing her construct with the technology around her. She is combining her spirit and technological sides as one.

Now understanding everything, he pulls 10 times as hard. He wants not just his Aya, he wants his soulmate by his side yesterday.

Hal and Kilowog see this and jump into action as well

Hal “We’re all here, Aya!”

Kilowog “ We believe in you kid!”

All 3 lanterns now pull with all of their combined strength to get Aya out.

Slowly, Aya’s new body starts to emerge. Still a construct hybrid, she is only able to construct her bare body, nothing else for this was taking a lot of energy from her to begin with.

Inch by inch, she cries out in pain, trying to break free.

Hal “ All right! Everyone on 3, ready? 1…2…3!”

Everyone pulled and just in an instant, Aya snapped free, landing in Razer’s arms.

Everyone fell backwards and watched as the main computer went full critical.

Hal and Kilowog raised their personal shields to protect them. Razer created a massive shield, encompassing both him and Aya inside.

Aya temporarily knocked out due to everything, Razer holds her in his arms.

The main computer erupts into smoke and flames. Causing a giant hole to form on the side of the main computer.

After everything dies down, Razer just stares at his love. Lowering his shields.

Razer - “You did it… You chose me. you love me…”

Razer in even more tears, Aya slowly coming around, still very weak

Aya “ Always…my love”

Razer cannot contain himself any longer. He holds Aya tightly as he gives her the biggest kiss he had ever given. Razer continues, not realizing his love was newly naked.

After pulling back and evaluating the situation, he starts to blush on his ears and cheeks.

Then he immediately looked over at Hal and Kilowog, looking directly at the two of them.

Razer was appalled by them looking at them, looking at her! (even though they have every right to)

Razer - “ HoW DaRe YoU! Turn around! Knartz, let her have some dignity.”

Hal and Kilowog now turned around, now both bashful as young school boys.

Aya, confused by Razer’s statement, starts to look around and finally notices her newly bare-formed body. Amazed at first, then immediately turns into realization of the situation around her and now, pure embarrassment.

Aya quickly covers herself with her arms and legs in a sight panic

Aya - “ This is…processing, processing….aahehhhh…”

Everyone around her understands her situation and wants to help in any way they can.

Razer looking around for any clothing whatsoever, he nor the lanterns can find anything.

Razer decides the best thing to do is to get Aya back to the interceptor and take care of her from there.

Razer picks up Aya bridal style

Razer “We have to get you back to the interceptor”

Aya acknowledging he was talking to her, she nods and agrees with her love.

Everyone got up and was about to leave the building, all of them heard a man cry coming from the main computer of the Simulation.

Kevlin - “ aaaaayyyyyyyaaaaAAAAAAAA!”

Aya looked over at the computer, frightened. Razer takes note and holds Aya close, covering her newly formed ears.

Razer - “ Don’t listen to him…”

They all leave the building, while Kevlin is left to cry out. Begging for Aya to return to his side.

Kevlin - “ Aya come back! You’re mine damn it!!! AYA!”

The original crew of the Interceptor now makes their way back to the ship. About to start a new chapter in life.
