Summary
Thanks to the Fountain of Dreams, Dreamland is safe from nightmares. It should be a place of refuge for Meta Knight, who spent his early life in the cold grip of one nightmare after another. A place for him to come to terms with himself and his past and move on. And yet, every year in late autumn the same chilling nightmare pops up to remind him of his murky origins.
It's worse than ever this year. Why can't he warm up? Why is he still haunted by that fateful day when Nightmare showed up at the Dream Spring? What was that about his friends organising a party for him? What about the uncanny resemblance between him and Kirby?
To face his past and forge his own future, he must do the most difficult thing he's ever done: learn how to trust and be trusted.
