Chapter Text

In my free time, I will post One shot of characters from Aphmau. Some will be from MCD and Mystreet, I would also like to hear suggestions if you have any.

Chapter Text

It was any other day with Alina, Lilith, and of course Leona. Liochant and Leona had been getting closer to each other since Liochant became the girl's guards. Both of them had been working together to make sure the two girls were having fun but both of them had known things were getting worse. The inevitable dangers of this world were a daunting thought to anyone. It didn’t bother Liochant however, he would lay down his life for the two girls and Leona in a heartbeat. He was their protector and he never took that lightly, why would he?
He had always aspired to be a hero, to save someone’s life.

As the minutes passed by, Liochant’s mind began to fixate on Leona. Liochant’s cheeks turned a light pink as his mind wandered to the thought of Leona.

He had been distracted and didn’t notice Leona trying to get his attention.

“Oh lady Leona, what is it!?”

Liochant had felt a wave of embarrassment, especially considering he was meant to be paying attention to more important duties.

“We're going to the market, I’m guessing you’ll be joining us?”
Leona stated while looking at him, Liochant immediately stood and said aloud.

“Of course! I would never leave your side.
Liochant paused for a moment as he considered what he had actually just proclaimed.

“Ahhhh, that is to say, I shall stay by all of your sides! I am the girl's guard after all.” Nice save he thought.

Leona just smiled after that response and turned away and her cheeks turned a rosy red.

Dammit, that was kinda sweet she thought.

They finally made it to the market,

The girls ran around like crazy playful rabbits while Leona ran after, chasing them down. Liochant just followed along with Leona but at a calmer pace than Leona. The girls had finally stopped running amok, which made them easier to keep track of.

Lio, upon noticing the girls were hungry, offered to get them something to eat. Leona offered to retrieve food in his stead, he is their guard after all, and should be there for the girls at all times.

Leona quickly came back with delicious sandwiches, enough for the four of them to enjoy. Lio’s face glowed with excitement, almost as brightly as the girl's face of excitement.

“Oh wow! “Sandwiches!”
“We haven’t had a good market sandwich in a long time”

Liochant proclaimed with the biggest smile on his face. Leona couldn’t help but notice his goofy expression. She giggled

“You sure get excited about sandwiches, it’s cute!”

Liochant felt a bit taken aback. Did she just say cute?
He couldn’t help but blush, which then caused Leona to blush a bit too. Lilith and Alina had started devouring their food while Lio and Leona peacefully enjoyed their meal on a bench. Avoiding eye contact so as not to acknowledge what Leona had said prior.

Liochant was infatuated by the idea that Leona might find him cute, but showing this was a whole other ordeal. Best to just keep quiet and not mention it. Leona on the other side of the bench wondered if she had said the right thing? She meant it, but what did he think about that moment? It was just a moment she considered, he probably didn’t even think about it at all.

Later that day,

Leona had put the girls down to nap and the babysitter and glorified babysitter had time to recover for at least a few hours. Lio decided to stay by the girl's door to protect them while Leona went to crash on the couch for moments of peace.

Lio just smiled as she slumbered, thinking about how cute she was laying there, how cozy it would be lying right next to her, how warm her body would be next to…AHH APHMAU!!!

“Lady Aphmau! I-It’s a pleasure to see you, the girls are both taking naps as we speak!"
Aphmau giggled and looked over at Leona in a practically corpse-like state.

“They aren’t the only ones, I see. They must have dragged her along all day”

Aphmau said, turning to Liochant. “Oh yes. Very energetic today, they were running around a lot, really zapping their energy.”Liochant moved to his feet as he spoke.

“Ah, I see. Liochant, why don’t you take Leona home and get some rest yourself. I’d even carry Leona home if I were you, wouldn’t want to disturb her sleep” Aphmau stated knowingly.

Liochant suddenly tensed up. “Are you sure about that lady Aphmau? I can stay and keep watch, just say the word.”

Aphmau just giggled and nodded;
“Liochant, you do so much as it is, you deserve a break! Besides, I wanna spend the rest of the day with my special girls!”

The babysitter with a sword awkwardly made his way over to the couch-bed.

“Of course lady Aphmau, I will be on my way and make sure that Lady Leona gets home safe.” Lio looked at her face for a moment, her eyes so delicately closed in slumber. He noted how her face is so beautifully framed by her long black hair.

Aphmau noticed Liochant staring and couldn’t help but smile and nod. She made her way towards the girl's room while Liochant carefully picked up Leona one arm at a time so as not to wake her. Smiling back at Aphmau and the girl's room as he walked through the doorway out.

Liochant soon arrived at Kiki’s barn, Leona still in his grasp. Kiki was relaxing in a chair as Liochant walked in, struggling just a little bit.

“Oh hey, Liochant!”
Kiki said warmly whilst smiling at Liochant.

“Oh hi, there Miss Kiki! I’m just here to drop off lady Leona. She fell asleep at Lady Aphmau’s”

Kiki just smiled and pointed to the stairs “Right up there sweetheart. Just lie her on the bed, she probably needs the rest”

Liochant nodded and proceeded up the stairs. The guard placed Leona down on the bed with care and she immediately curled up with her tail.

Was she awake that whole time?! Nah probably not Liochant reconsidered, I suppose I would do that too if I had a tail.

Liochant couldn’t help but smile and giggle to himself.

“That smile tells me a thousand things, like what you’re thinking. ” Kiki did her little namesake laugh, prompting Lio to turn about in shock.

“Miss Kiki! I-I’m sorry…I..” Liochant looked down toward his metal boots.

“For what Liochant? The way you look at her is amazing, your eyes start to glow and your cheeks turn a little red.”
Liochant instantly turned a deep red.

“So why haven’t you said anything to her yet?”
Kiki asked, knowing absolutely everything that was between them from a glance.

“Well, I’m just not sure if it’s right, I don’t know anything about relationships and I don’t even know if she feels the same way.” Liochant looked down dejectedly.

“Trust me Liochant, She does think the same. She tells me all the time. Sometimes it’s hard to notice these things, especially if you are just a wee bit blind to the feelings of women.” Kiki quietly and frankly said.

“Sorry, what did you say there?”

“Nothing kid, the point is, you have a lot of charm, I can tell she sees it is all.”

Kiki just looked at him smiling, full of wisdom.

“Thank you, Miss Kiki. That helped a lot. I should head out now.”
Kiki giggled “Alright Liochant, Be safe!”

After Liochant left the barn Leona shot straight up blushing profusely and thought to herself.
So he does feel the same way, aw now I don’t know what I should do
Leona just sat there deep in thought.

Upon leaving Kiki’s barn Liochant decided to go to the beach, relax and attempt to get a grasp of everything he had just heard.

“Even if it is true, how do I even ask her? It’ll just be awkward” Liocahnt thought to himself, he considered that maybe he should talk about his family but wasn’t sure. He just zoned out of the reality of the world and thought about her.
Her.
How beautiful she was, how wonderful and kind she was. Liochant then suddenly felt a set of arms wrap around him, he looked over his shoulder to see…

“Hey there Lio”

Leona?!

Leona just looked at him and quickly loosened her grasp. Liochant quickly turned around and emoted.

“L-Lady Leona! You’re awake, but why are you here and how did you find me?”

Lichant had a puzzled expression written all over his face.
“I heard what you said to my mom and wanted to find you, also I’m a werewolf remember? My keen sense of smell ringing any bells?”

Leona laughed a bit and Liochant just turned away looking somewhat glum.

“Liochant, I understand how hard it can be to express your emotions but look!”

She grabbed his hand and put her hands on either side of his face to look at her.

“You don’t have to say anything. No words need to be spoken for me to know….” Leona paused.

“…that you love me.”

Her eyes glinted with light as she smiled at him. Liochant had begun to lose himself in her eyes, turning unapologetically red with embarrassment, passion, and a whole other mess of emotion. Lio smiled at her, she returned the same kind smile as he wrapped his strong arms around her and held her closer. Leona fell into his grasp, securing it with her arms and entangling her tail around his leg. Both are content being attached to each other and that’s the only thing that mattered in that moment.

“Do you mind if I call you Lio?” Leona asked, just in case.

“You can call me whatever you want Leona, all that matters is that I have you. ”

They both stared into each other eyes, feeling their heat from the other’s face.

They were both blushing with the heat of a thousand suns. Their faces had never been this close before. Simultaneously the two were frozen but magnetically drawn to each other. Lio leaned closer to Leona, only an inch apart now, noses touching. Lio held the side of Leona’s face and smiled as he bridged the gap between them with a kiss.

Nothing else mattered as their lips connected. Leona pulled closer as they both melted into the kiss, tenderly releasing and staring starstruck into each other's soul. Leona marveled at the stark amber ring now present in Lio's eyes from the warm sunset to the side of him. Eons seems to pass by as the two stared intimately into each other's eyes, silhouetted by the orange and yellow glow highlighting the cool beach.

Chapter Text

Rylan was walking around the mall by himself. Danial had run off to go to Old Navy and Dottie was at Spencer's as Rylan was left alone. If he was being honest he didn’t want to go anywhere today since it was his day off and just wanted to move his stuff into his new apartment with the other two. He was moving in with them but didn’t have the time to ask it off so he’d be moving in slower than the other two. He just kept walking, not paying attention to anything but his thoughts, he looked at the ceiling thinking about everything. He was just enjoying his time at the mall for as long as he could and that’s all that m-

“Hey! Watch where you’re going!” Rylan had bumped into someone and she barked at him in anger. She and Rylan had both fallen to the ground and all her stuff had as well.

“OW! I’m sorry! Here let me-” He paused looking at the woman and saw she had a Pale complexion, light blond hair, dark blue eyes, and most importantly she was a Meif’wa. He knew who it was and he tensed up

“Wait a minute, I know you! You’re one of Aphmau’s friends. What was your name? Ryan?” She looked at him with a questioning look on her face “No that’s not it. Maybe it wa-”

“Hey! There you are!” Danial came running over and looked at him “Hey what’s wrong pal? Everything ok?” He asked curious why he was so tense and then looked over at the Meif'wa “Oh hi there. Sorry about my friend Rylan he’s ju-”

Danial was cut off “Rylan that was it!” The Meif’wa girl looked excited “It’s June from High School!” She said excitedly

“H-Hi June” Rylan had a flood of memories from High School coming back to him all at once “S-Sorry about that. Let me help you with all that” Rylan got up and started grabbing her bags

“Oh Rylan please, it’s alright. I can do it myself.” She also started to help pick things up while Danial backed away to leave the two alone “ You know you were always the sweet one” She had realized she said that without thinking and had a line of pink go across her face

“T-Thanks June” Rylan’s face turned a light red color and he just hoped she didn’t see it. That’s all he wanted since she was just a high school crush and nothing more.

“Here’s your stuff June” He held out a few bags to give to her and she grabbed them happily. He just couldn’t believe that he ran into her.

“Thanks, Rylan. Hey, we should hang out sometime. What’s your number so I can text you a time and place?” She smiled a bit knowing it would be nice to talk to him again. That adorable smile of his always made her happy and warm inside.

“Um… Sure my number is” He read the number nervously and she smiled as he spoke. She called it to make sure it was right and his phone rang.

“Alright! Well, I’ll see you around Rylan, and don’t be afraid to text me” She walked off with a confident look on her face and some other feelings.

Dottie ran over and was curious about what happened “Hey what’s going on?” Dottie said with a louder kind of tone

“Rylan ran into June. I think he literally ran into her as well” Danial looked over at Rylan seeing a face filled with despair

“Y-Yeah… I wasn’t paying attention and walked right into her” Rylan said in a quivering voice “Can we just go home?” Rylan wanted to leave and think at home now. He wanted to block this out of his mind.

Later at the pups house

When Rylan got home he immediately started to unpack the stuff he had lying around in his room to not think about June. If he was being honest with himself he didn't want to see her or text her even though the feeling was there. He stayed focused on his task until he heard his phone ring so he stopped what he was doing to pick it up. He somewhat recognized the number but either way he picked it up and spoke “Hello, this is Rylan” then a female voice came over the phone “Hi Rylan! It's June, "she said very excitedly. Rylan felt more comfortable talking to her over the phone and spoke “Oh hey June. What's up?” He remembered what she had said earlier “I was wondering if you wanted to hang one day. Like I suggested, maybe we can go out for a bite to eat?” She said with a puppy voice “Look, that sounds nice June but I'm gonna be really busy with moving. I'm currently unpacking my stuff and I'm still not done moving stuff so it might be awhile” Rylan frowned knowing she would be disappointed “Then I'll come over and help you unpack and move! Perfect idea Rylan!” Rylan had a shocked expression and before he could say anything she quickly asked “What is your address? I can be over in an hour, to at least help you unpack” Rylan was just shocked and said the address without realizing and then blushed “Alright sounds good! I'll see you soon Rylan. Bye!” She hung up and Rylan dropped his phone and was frozen.

Soon after Danial was walking by and saw him just frozen “You Alright bud?” Rylan turned around quickly and grabbed his arms and started to speak quickly “Danial I need your help! June is coming over to help me unpack and I'm nervous and have no idea what to do! I tried to ignore everything but then she called me and now she's coming over and I don't know what I'm supposed to do!” Rylan finished and began to pant Danial just nodded and walked away saying “You got this Rylan” and then snickered on his way to the living room. Rylan couldn't believe it, He had accidentally invited June over. Well she more so invited herself over but still, him and June in his room

45 minutes later

Rylan had gotten a little bit done around in his room but still had more to do, he set up some of his furniture to at least make the room look nicer. Then he heard a knock at the door. Before he could go to the front door it opened and he heard June’s voice. It sounded like Dottie had opened the door for June and they were just talking while Rylan gained the courage to go downstairs.

June had finished her conversation with Dottie and showed her to Rylan’s room with a wink. June blushed a bit and just ignored her, she then knocked on the door. She was waiting for a few seconds before the door opened to show Rylan’s adorable face “Hey Rylan, I hope you’re hungry! I brought some food” He shook his head slightly. He welcomed her into his room and set up a place to eat at his desk.

Rylan was overcome with nervousness and just began to eat his hotdog on a stick while June ate her fish sandwich “S-Sorry for the mess” he apologized softly, June just chuckled and looked at him “It’s alright Rylan. You're not finished moving in yet. That’s why I’m here after all!” She gave him a big smile and he smiled back at her.

On the other side of Rylan’s wall were Dottie and Danial listening into the conversation waiting for something exciting to happen. Especially for Dottie, Danial could have cared less if he was there, but he was there for Rylan’s moral support.

10 Minutes later

June and Rylan had unpacked more of Rylan’s stuff and Rylan was starting to get less nervous around her and began to laugh more “You know June this is fun when there’s two of us, plus I get to see you” She just gave a small giggle in response and just looked at him while leaning against his dresser “Well what can I say, I know a two or thing. Plus it’s great to see your adorable face” She blushed a bit.

Rylan soon knew that the feelings from High School had come back and he just looked at her. He blushed a bit thinking about her more and more. June looked at him and said, “Hey, can I tell you something I’ve been holding for a while now?” Rylan looked at her with confusion and responded with a simple “Yeah”

June took a deep breath “Earlier at the mall today, I noticed how nervous you were and it made me think back to high school and how sweet and kind you were. I’m happy to see that hasn’t changed and I’m sad I never said any of this earlier” She looked at him with a slight frown “I regret not asking you out. I’ve been holding onto for years and now that I’ve had to suppress for so long” she looked back down with a face full of embarrassment

Rylan walked over to her with a bit of nervousness and lifted her head with his hand “June, I understand completely” June looked at him getting a feeling of rejection from him. He then moved his hand to her cheek “You don’t have to hide it anymore, You were the only girl I have ever felt any romantic feeling for” She looked at him as her tail began to wrap around his leg and his tail moved to also do the same. The two acted like nervous teens but they slowly started to get closer to each other until their noses were touching and the both of them were blushing “J-June, wi-will you g-go out with m-me?” She looked at him smiling and rubbed her nose against his and said “Y-yes, I wi-will Rylan” Their lips finally connected as they became more comfortable with each other at that moment. When they separated the two looked at each other with a loving embrace “Guess I’ll tell my roommate I won’t be home tonight” June said with a smile and Rylan just smiled at her “I’ll see if Dottie has anything you can wear.

Danial and Dottie started to cry after hearing the two confess to each other and were heartbroken. The two held each other just crying “He did It!” Dottie said with happiness in her voice and Danial began to howl.

Chapter Text

Katelyn sat by herself thinking of things to do, she was not enjoying her trip to Starlight. She wanted to tell Travis but just didn’t know how to tell him and feared he would be upset since the trip, everything had already been paid for. She sighed knowing the best decision was to tell him the truth when he came out of the shower and then just leave after that. All she could do was ask herself was; Is this the right thing to do? She pondered the question nervously looking at the ceiling when Travis promptly emerged from the open bathroom door.

“Heeeeeeeey Katelyn, what are you doing?” Travis probed in a way that bothered her a bit, reminding her of the old Travis she despised.

“ I don’t think I can do this anymore.” Travis looked in confusion.
“This?”
“I’m just not happy here and I… I don’t think we're gonna work out.” Katelyn started turning away from him so as not to make eye contact.

“I understand Katelyn, but can we try to work on it?” Travis pleaded, hoping she would reconsider.

“No Travis, I mean it. I don’t wanna pretend anymore, I just can’t see myself with you.” She felt a sinking feeling in her chest after admitting all that to him.

“Ugh, what do you want me to do? How can I tell my dad about this?”

Katelyn didn’t think about that part, Travis’ dad complicated things, he was the one who invited them to the island. They needed to think about this logistically. All Katelyn could manage at that moment was a deep sigh as Travis continued.

“Go relax somewhere for a while and I’ll talk to my dad.” Travis walked out of the room while Katelyn lay on the mattress alone with her thoughts.

Dammit, this is taking a turn for the worst! I never wanted this situation, it's not fair to Travis and it most certainly isn’t fair to me. But what else can we do, it's all blown out of proportion.

Later that day

Katelyn had been out of the hotel for a few hours and tried calling her to see who could hang out and talk but everyone was busy, then she remembered about one person she hadn’t called and decided to call them. The phone rang for a few seconds and was picked up “Hello this is Kai, is there something I can help you with?” Sounded like he would if it was a business call

“Hey Kai, It’s Katelyn. Are you busy at the moment?” Katelyn had hoped he was free so that she could talk to someone and not just wander around the island alone.

“Let me check” He paused for a couple of seconds and then spoke, “I’m free, where do you wanna meet up at?” He had said quickly as if he was excited

Katelyn smiled a bit “Wherever is fine. Even your suite would be fine. I just need someone to talk to.” Katelyn felt somewhat bad about calling him just to talk to him about her feelings

“Of course! I’ll send the suite information so you can come by. The other guys are out so they won’t be a problem or a bother” Kai exclaimed “I’ll shoot you a text now and I’ll wait outside for you” He then hung up and Katelyn got a text a few seconds later and started walking that way getting a feeling of relief. She kept thinking about where she would go if Travis’s dad didn’t want her there anymore but she decided it was something to worry about later and for now, she was going to hang out with a friend.

Later after showing up at the suite

Kai saw Katelyn and he got up extremely quickly.

“Hi Katelyn, is everything ok?” Kai looked at her with a concerned look on his face

“Can we just go inside and talk about everything?” She looked at him and he brought her inside and sat her down on a chair.

“Would you like anything to drink or eat?” Kai had asked and Katelyn just nodded without speaking a word “Alright. Would you like water?” Katelyn nodded and slumped over the kitchen counter while Kai got her the water.

“I left the suite with Travis, it just didn’t feel right since we were faking a relationship just to be on the island and it was horrible.” Katelyn fell to her knees as the tears fell from her eyes.

“I couldn’t do it anymore! It wasn’t what I wanted, it hurt him, and me!” Katelyn sobbed while looking down full of pain. Instinctively, Kai got down next to her quickly and hugged her tightly.

"Katelyn, that sounds horrible, I'm sorry you had to go through that. If you can't find anywhere to stay you're welcome here. You can take my room and I'll stay downstairs on the couch" Kai said these things with all the comfort he could muster. Kai genuinely wanted to help and most certainly did not want to make things any worse.

“Thank you, Kai, but I can’t do that” Her tone was muffled as she found a way to comfortably nuzzle into his shoulder. “It just doesn’t feel right, I’m not gonna kick you out of your room.” She knew staying would be safest but didn’t want to intrude on him or his friends.

Besides I’m sure everything would be fine, she told herself. She’d go back to the suite with Travis and his dad.

“If you say so, could you stay for a day at least?” The embrace ended and Kai walked over to a cabinet and grabbed a bottle of wine.

“Maybe you could help me finish this off? If you’re up for it of course.” Kai smirked knowing a good drink would be good for them both and put Katelyn’s mind at ease.

Katelyn cracked a smile back at him “Can I at least finish my water first?” She giggled which made Kai snicker back.

“Yeah, Why not? I’ll have some.” Katelyn relented, chugging her water. Katelyn realized how bipolar the tone of the last few hours had been. The important thing is that she was feeling better, she thought it’d be best to deal with those feelings later.

Later that night, specifically at 8:45 pm

The night was warm and humid, and the echo of the seagulls' calls didn’t let anyone forget it was an island. After a few drinks, Katelyn was slammed and Kai had a slight buzz. The two had been talking and drinking then Kai got a text on his phone from one of his roommates.

“Hey man, won’t be making it back tonight so the place is free for you.” He read that and with a delirious nod, smiled and set aside his phone.

“What’s the smile for?” Katelyn said drunkenly and laughed a bit while looking at him.

“Oh, it was just one of my roommates. They said they won’t make it back so we have the place to ourselves. We could watch TV or something?”

A moment of silence passed.

“So what do you wanna do then?” Kai questioned. be respectful Kai.

Katelyn giggled and leaned closer, placing her hand on his cheek.

“Kiss you.~”

Katelyn fell back a bit full of laughter, her breath smelled intensely of wine and Kai’s eyes widened.

“Oh wow! I don’t think that’s a good idea! You're not in the clearest mindset right now and plus you just had a kinda break up” Kai said with the utmost respect, backing away from her.

“Oh come on.” She caressed his cheek with her hand, looking at him drunkenly.
“I know I want this.” She slurred her words more and more with every sentence.

“No! I will not do that to you! Why don’t you go upstairs and get some sleep” He moved her hand off his cheek. His cheeks flushed thinking about how close she was to his face, how close he was to her.

“Fine! I’ll go to sleep now. Where's the room?”

She slumped off the couch and he helped her to his room. Katelyn had, of course, left her phone downstairs. For now, Travis’s phone calls and texts would be left unseen.

The next morning

Katelyn woke up with a massive hangover and looked around, realizing she was in someone else’s bed. She immediately thought the worst, she looked at herself with a sign of relief.
She was still in her clothes from the night before.
How drunk had she gotten?
Katelyn shot up, darted downstairs to see Kai in the kitchen, and practically tackled him.

“What happened last night?!” She said with a panicked tone and looked at him with eyes full of fear.

“Nothing happened! We drank a bottle of wine and you uhhh…” Kai paused and then said tentatively;
“You tried to kiss me while you were drunk… but I made sure you went straight to sleep and you did, so there, nothing happened.” He said looking at her. Katelyn sighed in relief but shut her eyes tight with embarrassment.

“Oh thank Irene! Thank you for doing that, I forgot that I could get like that when I drink sometimes.” Katelyn dragged her hand from her forehead to her chin and avoided eye contact.

“Sorry you uh, had to deal with that.”

“Hey don’t mention it! By the way, I found your phone on the coffee table.” He gestured across the room.
“I’m also making breakfast if you're hungry!” He smiled and made his way over to the kitchen, beaming with pride, knowing full well Katelyn would have burned the food.

“Sure, breakfast sounds great!” She said walking over to her phone and grabbing it with shock as she saw a flood of notifications from Travis. Her face was filled with dread.
“Oh no”. Travis, I’m sorry.
She said to herself and looked at her messages and they all said: “Call me!” “Check your voicemail.” With a deep breath, she checked the voicemail box and heard his voice of annoyance come over the phone. “Hey, Katelyn. I talked to my dad and well he’s not happy. He doesn’t want you around anymore and honestly, it sucks that you’d do this to us but I hope you are somewhere safe at least.”
The voicemail ended and she didn’t know what to think but at that moment, she felt frozen, she had nowhere to go.

“Breakfast is ready! I made you some basic scrambled eggs with various spices and veggies!”
He set the plate on the kitchen counter and sat in a chair with his tuna fish scrambled eggs. She inched over sitting down dejectedly over her food next to Kai before taking the first bite. Kai looked over at her

“Everything alright?” He started to be concerned with the face she was making. Katelyn explained everything to Kai while he returned her depressed expression with one of sympathy.

“Just stay here with me.”

Katelyn didn’t return his gaze. “I should just go home. I would call Aphmau but I think their suite is full, I don’t wanna be a bother, and besides I would just be in the way.” She stated glumly as she continued to eat slowly.

“No, you wouldn’t be in the way! If anything, it’d be great to have you here. You give me someone else to talk to. Besides, the guys just wanna talk about girls all day and all the women they see. You’d be refreshing!”

He grabbed her hand and his cheeks turned a rosy red color as he cracked a careful smile. Katelyn turned away and had a very noticeable red color across her cheeks which was striking in contrast to her powdered blue hair.

“Besides, you're on Starlight Island! Enjoy it! I’ll go wherever you want to go.” His smile widened as he let go of her hand.

“You're right Kai. I should enjoy myself” She looked at him with a fire in her eyes “I’m going to enjoy my time here while I can! Without Travis and his dad!” She looked excited and ready to go. Kai just smiled at her and nodded.

One week later

Katelyn had been staying with Kai for a bit and she was enjoying her time with him. They had gone out and done things every day since she stayed with each other and tonight was gonna be a great night. The plan was simple, they were gonna go dancing and while Katelyn wasn’t confident in her dancing skills she didn’t care. She just wanted to have fun. Especially with Kai, she enjoys being around him. His beautiful orange eyes gave her a feeling she hadn’t felt in a long time and it made her feel… Comfortable

“Katelyn? You ready?” Kai had dressed up in a button-up and shorts to look a little nice while they danced and a nice-smelling cologne

“Yeah! Just give me a minute! Gotta put one more thing on.” She slipped on the dress she was gonna wear. The outfit was complete. A cyan Bikini top and bottom, and a pastel yellow wrap. She walks out of the room and Kai’s eyes light up

“You look beautiful Katelyn!” Her cheeks turned a pinkish color “Come on. We should go now so we get there early” He said excitedly and walked towards the door and she just followed.

Later

Katelyn and Kai arrived and it wasn’t packed to the brim so the both of them began to dance to whatever came on and the two laughed at every little bit that one of them fumbled. Then a song Katelyn loved came on and Katelyn got excited and thought about Kai when the song started and grabbed his hands and started to swing him around. Kai went along with just wanting to make her happy and that made him happy.

“This is great Kai! Thanks for suggesting we do this!” She smiled and stared at him with glints in her eyes and realized that maybe this week had made her get closer to him, but not in a friendly way. She decided to ignore that thought and continued to dance.

“Of course Katelyn! I just thought this would be nice!” He just followed her in the movements. Every time he heard the line “You’re the One” he thought about her beauty and her wonderful personality but also how strong she was and how she could easily overpower him.

“Hey, it’s starting to die down. You wanna head back to the Suite?” She asked, realizing it was also getting late and she could rest for a bit there.

“Sure. Could make you some dinner when we get back” He knew she would say yes to his cooking since she seemed to love it a lot and he had a plan.

“Let’s get out of here! I’m ready for food!” She giggled and started to run off and he just giggled and ran after her.

Both had run to the Suite and were exhausted but Katelyn did get there first so she won. Even though they were exhausted Kai did say he’d make her dinner. Kai soon ran over

“Haha! I win! You still own my dinner” She said with a snicker and a smirk

“I-Yeah. L-Let me… Catch… My…. Breath” He was panting hard and had his tongue out to help and Katelyn just giggled a bit and he scoffed in response “Can I get changed first? These clothes are extremely sweaty now” Katelyn nodded in agreement and they both walked inside.

When they got upstairs Katelyn grabbed a change of comfy clothes to wear and went into the bathroom to change while Kai changed in the room. KAi had finished changing into something more comfortable. He lay on the bed and closed his eyes to wait for Katelyn to finish up and in no time Katelyn walked out and looked over at him.

“You’re in my bed” She giggled a bit and he got up and looked over at her

“Oh, you mean the bed I’m letting you use?” He smirked and gave a small chuckle

“Could be our bed?” Katelyn said out loud then realizing what she had just said looked away nervously and was filled with embarrassment

Kai looked at her in shock and just smirked and walked up behind her and hugged her “Well then. That means I can ask this. Do you wanna-”

Katelyn broke from Kai’s grasp and turned around to look at him and looked into his beautiful orange eyes and couldn’t resist the urges and just slammed her lips against his. Kai was ridden with shock but then melted into the kiss placing a hand on Katelyn’s cheek. Katelyn meanwhile wrapped her arms around his neck enjoying his loving embrace, warmth, his body, personality, cooking, and eyes. She could go on and on about what she loved about him but maybe love was too much for now. Kai was enjoying the kiss with her and swinging his tail back and forth and then when he felt comfortable he wrapped as much of his tail around her leg. Meif'wa used this to show their bonds to others. The one he was using was for affection and relationship and it showed how long the kiss was lasting. After a bit, they separated and looked into each other's eyes. Katelyn then let go and looked at him

“So what’s for dinner?” She said with a wide smile on her face. Kai just looked at her with loving eyes and said “Whatever you feel like, and I mean whatever.” Both began to laugh and knew the night would last long

Chapter Text

Lucinda sat at the table with everyone else, herself and Katelyn were just talking about work and a myriad of other topics. Kawaii~Chan was watching everyone closely to see if any of her ships would happen since she secretly planted Mistletoe in the house. 

“Hey if you don’t mind me asking, what happened to that one guy you were seeing?” Katelyn said looking at Lucinda with intrigue “Oh, him and I didn’t get past our second date, but it’s alright. He seemed a little self centered anyway” Lucinda looked down knowing damn well he had rejected her a few days after their first date Why lie to her Lucinda! Just tell the truth!

On the couch was Zane, Aphmau, and Aaron. “So Zane, has anyone interesting come into your life recently?” Aphmau probed with a smirk, Zane just sighed and just looked away “Oh, I think that might be a yeeeeesssss” She giggled and Aaron nudged her “Come on Aph, no need to tease him. If he wants he’ll tell you” Aphmau just crossed her arm with a little “Hmph” 

Zane looked over at Aaron “Thank you Aaron, but to answer the question is still no and will continue to be no. For a while at least” Zane stated with a somber tone in his voice. Aaron and Aphmau looked at him with a look of confusion and sadness “You’ll find someone buddy” Aaron reassured him and a smile.

After a few minutes had passed Zane had to head to the restroom, as he entered the restroom Lucinda started to head that way too. Zane walked out and almost collided into Lucinda, both looking at each other “Sorry about that, I didn’t see you there” He said looking at her. She looked at him and snickered “You might want to fix your mask, your freckles are showing” she started to laugh a bit more at him as he fixed his mask “Thanks for that, no need to laugh at me though” He said a bit disgruntled. She stopped laughing and had to breath and ended up looking at the ceiling and noticing something “Oh you’ve got to be kidding me” Damn you Kawaii~Chan! She said in her head

“Oh that’s how yo-” She looked at him and pointed up “See why I said that now” Zane looked up to see a thing of mistletoe and just scoffed “Ok, no one is around so who cares. I doubt you want to kiss me anyway” He looked down at her and she had a bit of pink on her cheeks “Well maybe before I saw your freckles, but that’s not the point! Are you gonna kiss me or not? We both know Kawaii~Chan is somewhere around here” She said with a bit of anger in her voice as she looked at him with an annoyed scowl. He sighed and moved his mask a bit “Fine, Just know I’m only doing this to get out of here” She nodded and he leaned down and the twos lips connected

A rush of emotions ran through Lucinda as she grabbed his collar and pulled him closer, Zane in shock grabbed her arms and pushed her back with anger in his eyes that quickly faded when he saw her face of sadness ‘I-I’m sorry, I got carried away. It’s been awhile and the emotions are getting to me right now” Zane changed how he was holding her to hugging to try his best to comfort her “It’s alright, I understand Lucinda. It was just shocking. If you ever need anything you can text me” He said with a calming voice, she looked at him and smiled “Hm, thank you. Surprised you said that of all people. Might be a reach but can we kiss again, it was… nice” He grabbed her chin and slowly pressed his lips on hers

Lucinda fell straight into the kiss and proceeded to wrap her arms around his neck loving the passion he was giving off. Of course she knew this was temporary so she made it last.

Aphmau decided to go check on Zane as in her own  words to Aaron “Gotta make sure he didn’t fall in” She soon was up the stairs and saw the two in the middle of an incredibly passionate kiss and she blushed and walked back down and sat back on the couch with Aaron “I found him, he’s fine” She said while looking at the TV

The two finally separated from their kiss and just looked at each other, both seeing each other in a new light “Wow, that was incredible” Zane said looking at her, Lucinda giggled then formed a smirk “Yeah, I-I think I’m gonna head home. It’s been a long night” She said, moving one of her hands to her arm “Alright, do you want me to go with you?” She shook her head left and right “I’ll be fine, OH! And one more thing” She leaned up and kissed him on the cheek “Bye Zane~” She walked downstairs and said bye to everyone. Zane soon came downstairs as well and decided to grab a glass of whine and sighed

One week later

Lucinda lay on her bed sprawled out in some casual clothes, all she could think about was the kiss, that damn kiss. She tried her best to forget about the whole thing by any means necessary but she knew nothing would make the thought go away. You screwed up big this time! She held her head in despair “GAH!! YOU IDIOT!! Damn it, I can’t believe I would fall for that guy! Those damn freckles, and his eyes, and how he held me… My Irene!” Lucinda could feel the rage build up in her

Zane sat in his living room, he had also been thinking of that night with Lucinda and was confused by the whole thing “I just… I don’t understand any of this. It’s confusing to feel this way! Your teasing didn’t help either!” Aphmau giggled and just stared at him with a smile “Well it did look pretty passionate to me. I’m surprised to learn you two weren’t already together” Zane looked at her with embarrassment and just looked at her “You saw us?! You didn’t say anything to anyone did you?” Zane looked at her with concern, She simply nodded her head left and right “Just Aaron, I know you trust him. Plus I told him I wanted the full story before anything was concrete so it’s a secret” Zane sighed and looked at the ceiling “So what should I do then? Should I text her, take her out on a date, invite her out, or mayb-” He was cut off by a text message and he looked at it and saw it was Lucinda.

Zane looked at the message with a shocked expression on his face, It was Lucinda “Can I come over to talk to you?” Was all she sent and Aphmau smiled and got up “Well, I think I know what that was about. I think I’ll be going” Aphmau walked over to the door and opened it but before she stepped out she turned to Zane “Oh, and just be yourself Zane. That’s all she’ll want. Plus it could help in a possible relationship with her” She then left the house, Zane was still looking at his phone  and gained the courage to send a text “Yeah, I think I need to tell you something anyways” and with that sent he sat there. By himself with his thoughts

Lucinda walked up to the door and before she could knock the door opened and Zane stood there in some casual clothing and he welcomed her in. She sat on the couch and he also sat on the opposite side of the couch. Both of them were too nervous to talk. Finally Lucinda looked at him “We should go on a date, I don’t know why but it just feels right” She said with a bit of red on her face Zane looked at her “Yeah, well we’d have to plan after new Years. Unless you just wanna have a date here. I can cook something and we can watch a movie or something” Lucinda smiled at him “Yeah, I’d like that”

Zane smiled and walked over to the kitchen “You can pick the movie if you’d like” He started to grab a few things out of the fridge she just sat there still kinda awkward. She needed to give herself a minute to calm down, she grabbed the TV Remote and began to look for something to watch as Zane cooked, after a few minutes she found something to watch and she stared at the TV. Zane looked at the TV and just smiled as he saw her sitting there, admiring her amber hair. He soon went back to cooking.

After about ten mins Zane walked over to Lucinda and leaned next to her “Foods done, You want me to get you a plate?” She looked at him and smiled “I can get it” She sat up and walked over to the kitchen and grabbed one of the plates sitting out for her. She admired the food he had made, it looked amazing and she was surprised. She soon sat back on the couch and Zane joined her.

Lucinda took a bite of the food and her eyes sparkled with delight “Oh my gosh! This is amazing!” She started to eat more as Zane laughed and looked at her “Thanks, I like to cook. It helps me focus” he looked at her again to admire how beautiful she was, her ruby like eyes were like gem stones stabbing into his heart. 

They both finished the food and after Zane washed the plates he went back over to the couch but before he could Lucinda stopped him “Sit next me, I think it’ll be nice” She said with a smile and a slight blush, he walked over and sat next to her. She was hesitant but she decided to lean against him for comfort. He was a bit nervous but just let it happen. He wrapped his arm around her after a bit and she snuggled into him more enjoying the moment.

Hours later

Zane woke up and looked to see the TV being off and looked down to see Lucinda passed out on his lap and he blushed a bit, he didn’t even remember falling asleep while she he was. He knew it was getting late so decided it was best to try and wake her up ‘Lucinda, Hey Lucinda. Wake up. You gotta head home” Lucinda opened her eyes and looked at Zane and blushed realizing she had fallen asleep and quickly sat up “Oh my gosh! I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to fall asleep on you! I was way too comfortable and everything just kin-” He placed a finger on her lips and looked at her “Hey, Don’t worry about it. I don’t mind. It’s not everyday I get a chance to see a beautiful women like yourself” She smiled and got a feeling in her chest as she put a hand on his cheek “It’s not everyday I get to see a handsome guy like you” Both smile at each other and the two started to lean in closer to each other and their lips connected. The two formed into a loving embrace.

The two separated from the kiss and looked at each other “So I guess this makes us officially together?” Zane said as he grabbed her hand and held it softly, she smiled “I think it does, maybe we keep this to ourselves for a bit” Both laughed knowing that wasn’t gonna be possible. They smiled at each other with loving eyes “We should get some sleep” Lucinda suggested, Zane nodded and got up. She grabbed his hand. He then led her up to his room where they laid together in his bed.

As they both laid there cuddled into each other, Lucinda would put her head in the crook of his neck, she and got a devilish idea and she soon started to kiss his neck which sent chills down his spine. She got on top of him and looked into his eyes “Didn’t think we’d get this far” Zane said mockingly and she just laid on him “Oh, I can’t just lay here and be comfortable” she said teasingly and he just giggled and held her. Both eventually falling asleep

Chapter Text

It had been three years since Rylan and June started dating and they were celebrating their three year 6 month anniversary. June looked at Rylan with love in her eyes “You ready to go out to dinner love?” He looked at her while buttoning up his shirt. “Yeah, I know I’ve already said this but you look beautiful my cutie pie” She giggled and walked over to him to kiss him on the cheek. They both soon left the house and started on their way to dinner together.

The two arrived at the restaurant, June wearing an orange dress with white petals on it, while Rylan wore black pants and a Sage green button up dress shirt, June couldn’t help but stare at Rylan. He was as handsome as the day she met him and loved the outfit he was wearing, she was still in disbelief that the two had been together for three years. Everything that’s happened in that time, meeting each other's parents, going to concerts, and of course moving in with each other. She was happy to have him in her life and loved so much, and today was gonna be special.

After finishing dinner June would grab the keys from Rylan “The night isn’t done my love! I have a short list of places and things we can do, so what do you say, wanna see what I have in mind?” She looked at him after asking and he smiled and pulled her closer to him by her waist “Always my cutie Pie” They would kiss and after they started to their next location.

The two would end up needing to change as June had driven them to a lake, she had already pre packed the change of clothes for the both of them. It was about 7:45PM so the air had a slight chill to it as the two walked around. June wrapped her arm around Rylan’s as to be able to hold him close, she needed everything to be perfect for the two of them and so far the night was going off without a hitch. The two decided to sit down at a bench and June laid up against Rylan and he would wrap her arm around her. She smiled and felt safe. She would then look up at him “Ready to go to our next location?” he chuckled and nodded, so the two of them would get up and begin walking back to the car.

After stopping by a few more places including a quick stop to a sweets store where the two would get themselves something, they would end up at the last location. A park that had all these lights set up on a gazebo and the two admired it, truth was June had planned this whole night months ago with the help of Dottie and Danial. They would end up on the Gazebo “Rylan, can you close your eyes for a minute” Ryaln looked at her confused but agreed and did as she asked. He heard her rustle around in a pocket then a few cracks from the gazebo “Alright, you can look now” Rylan would open his eyes and look at her in shock as she was starting at him on one knee with a tiny little box “Rylan, it’s been three years since we’ve been dating, We’ve know each other for longer then that. I need to ask you one question however” She would open the box to reveal an Engagement ring. Rylan was awestruck “Will you marry me Rylan?” She said with a smile on her face, Rylan looked at her “Yes I will!” Then he picked her up and hugged her, the both of them giggling, they stared into each other's eyes with love and they shared a passionate kiss that they didn’t want to end.
