Summary:
Inspire by DC cannon where Bruce suck at cooking
Chapter 1
After the huge success that was their first date, both Bruce and Diana were dying for another one. Too bad they were too busy with their superheroes and normal civilian’s duties for weeks afterward. Even though all they had during those weeks was quick shags and messages, both of them felt liked they had been transfer to another realm like those isekai anime, since each day felt so surreal that they felt like they could die from happiness.
Bruce admitted on their messages that he was hopeless when it came to cooking so he couldn’t even make a decent tuna sandwich for Dick when he gave Alfred the day off. It was both funny and cute that someone as multi-talented like Bruce could be so bad at something that Diana suggested she gave him cooking lesson during their next dates. Not to brag but she was a great cook.
They decided to held their cooking lesson in Diana’s apartment this Saturday.
On Tuesday, a world-wide Aliens attack happened. And even though the Justice League won Diana nearly died. She saw fear filled Bruce’s eyes, saw how he fought hard to keep himself from trembling.
The man had opted to sit near Diana’s hospital bed, the silence so thick between them it could be cut with a knife. Diana prayed to Gods and Goddesses that Bruce wouldn’t let this create rift between them. They had only been together for more than 3 months but she really didn’t want to imagine a world without Bruce as her lover, it would hurt too damn much.
Thanks to her super healing, Diana recovered in no time.
When Bruce didn’t reply to her messages for the next two days, Diana was really dishearten but she told herself to let it slide and not take it personally. They had gone without talking for a few days before when Bruce went undercover even though Bruce usually notified her about her about it first.
They both had busy lives, and he had to protect Gotham-the city with the highest crime, and a day job to fulfill, so it was alright. She didn’t feel more and more anxious when Bruce didn’t return his calls or text messages. She didn’t let the silence affect her mood, her sleep, her daily life. Oh who was she kidding, she had a hole the size of Jupiter in her heart. She would have get drunk to forget if she weren’t a superhero that might have to save the day at any moment.
But then Bruce messaged her on Friday saying he was so sorry and was their date still happening. Diana’s heart soared. Tomorrow couldn’t come quick enough.
XXX
After some thinking, Diana decided to wear an shoulder-expose aqua top and a pair of black skinny jeans.
Her heart changed its rhythm as she heard the bell rang. Upon opening the door, she saw Bruce wearing a short-sleeved sky-blue T-shirt that matched his eyes and stretch across the muscled ridge of Bruce’s shoulders. His forearms were tanned, muscled, corded with sexy veins and a light smattering of dark hair. His jeans weren’t tight, but they were fitted enough to show the long, powerful lines of his legs.
Bruce’s smile warm as summer and just as lazy. Her eyes absorbed Bruce’s face, the half-smile in his eyes, his hair, his body, his legs, right down to his toes, her eyes twinkling all the while.
Bruce felt the slow caress of Diana’s gaze that was all consuming. Heat prickled across his skin and his nipples harden and the date was just beginning.
Just when Diana thought her Bruce couldn’t get more heart-stopping sexy, Bruce made casual wear looked like high fashion and strong undiluted sex surrounded him as a women surrounded themselves with perfumes.
She stared at the way his shirt stretched over his broad shoulders and muscular arms enticingly and had to resist the temptation to reacquaint her fingers with all those lean power. She felt the mind numbing heat of pure desire. Dear gods and goddesses, she was in sensory overload, and the date was just beginning.
Diana’s eyes sparkling, her cheeks dimpled with unfettered smile and her hair tumbled down her back in loose waves. Diana looked amazing and her tantalizing exotic scent wrapped around him and sank into his bones. Naked hunger filled Bruce’s eyes. The urge to wrap his hand around her silky black hair burned through him. One tug and she’d be his, her mouth ripe for the taking, her neck bared for his lips and tongue. His cock rock hard, his mind alive with fantasies.
He had to remind himself why he was here in the first place and locked away his lustful desire in a fool-proof boxes for now.
Diana enjoy the heat of Bruce’s stare. Then she realized her Adonis was holding a bouquet of red Baby breath and another box. Bruce’s eyes twinkled.
“Thank you.” Her eyes were light and dancing, crinkled up at the corners before accepting the flowers. She took a deep whiff of their scent and admired the baby breaths as though they were porcelain. “What is the meaning?” A warm feeling blossoming in her chest.
Watching his Aphrodite, Bruce felt love swarm him, fill him so fast it was a flood of the heart. “It symbolized the heart, undying, eternal love, and affection.” He said shyly. “They are also symbolic of a past love that continues to be remembered and cherished in the heart.” He added. He had tried to stay away after Diana’s near death but his heart aching every second of the days.
Diana’s heart beating fast at the fiery intensity she encountered in Bruce’s eyes- so strong and bright it resembled a fire burning in a black abyss. And that passion was being directed at her. It was concentrated to fill those eyes when they stared at her, she could felt her face heated up and her heart was thumping distinctly faster. She felt so important in his presence and it made her fall in love with him all over again. “I wanted you to know that I cherished every second we had together and no matter what the future may bring…” he sounded melancholy. “…Even if we were separated by death, I would never regret loving you and neither would I ever forget every moment we had together.”
Love rammed through her with a velvet fist, solid and painful. After their first date, Diana thought Bruce couldn’t be more romantic, apparently she was wrong. She was unbelievably happy that her eyes grew moist. There was no saying of how humongous the love Diana had for her Bruce simply by existing.
“And I brought desert.” Bruce smiled, he presented her with a box of Turkish Delight.

“Come on in.” Diana opened the door. The room they walked into was so elegant that it took Bruce’s breath away; colourful patterned furniture and antiques. The rest of the apartment was so classic Diana: big open balcony, hardwood floors, great art on the walls. “I will put this in water. You can sit if you like.” she smiled.
Bruce heard music and grinned as he recognized the opening chords of Fools rush in.
After she finished putting her bouquet of baby breath in a beautiful antique vase, she wrapped her hand around his waist and pulled him towards her for a passionate kiss that left him breathless. His hand caressed her face, her skin glided like silk beneath his callous hand. “I am sorry I got cold feet after…It won’t happen again.” Bruce promised. “I won’t let my fear and insecurities come between us again.”
Her gaze blazed with fire. “You better not. Next time I won’t be so forgiving.”
Diana lead Bruce to her kitchen. On the glass-topped table of the dining room, Bruce saw dried lavenders. She kept the flower he gave, the thought filled his heart with warm. Candles of varying sizes and shades were set around the room so it smelled, romantically, of vanilla, jasmine, and gardenia.
“I thought we would start with making sandwiches since you’re a hopeless cook.” She teased, threw Bruce an apron.
Bruce just smiled and put it on. Diana grinned warmly at Bruce's appearance, frilly white apron snug on his body.
“We are going to make Easy Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches.” Diana said. “A street food favorite, it is also an excellent dish to make at home. When you prepare it yourself, you can experiment with different cheeses, veggies, bread, and cuts of beef until you create your dream Philly cheesesteak. The possibilities are endless and delicious.”
“Can we make enough to bring home to Alfred and Dick too.” Bruce looked a little nervous.
“I knew you would say that.” Diana smiled. “Don’t worry there’s more than enough ingredient for 4.” When Bruce still looked nervous. She added “I'll instruct you.”
"Ah." he said, looking at his hand. "I am a horrible cook.” Fight crime, no problem. Cook, utter failure. When he finally looked up, he saw his love staring at him.
She slowly stroked his shoulder a little bit and gaze at him warmly. "We had worked together for more than 8 months. Do you trust me B?"
He didn’t even need to think, "yes."
"Well. Trust in yourself too, B. You didn’t get to be who you’re today without hard work and believing in yourself, do you?"
"Yes..."
"Besides, I’ve got your back.” Diana muttered the four magic heart-opener words and meant them on every level. No matter what happens, she was not going to stop loving him. She not going to stop respecting him. She was here to support him. “Always.”
“I will make sure you made the tastiest Philly cheesesteak sandwich ever!" Warmth suddenly flooded the air between them.
I’ve got your back. I’ve got your back., I’ve got your back.... Bruce smiled. "Thank you, princess."
Under Diana tutelage, all the ingredients were prepped with minimal mess. The butterflies in her stomach fluttered the whole time she saw Bruce did something as domestic as cooking.
“First, chop the vegetables. Cut bell peppers into long strips, onion into half rings and mushrooms into bite-sized pieces.”
Bruce rinsed the vegetables before shaking it somewhat dry and setting it on the board before him and grabbing a knife. Bruce hacked the bell peppers with gusto. He didn’t really remember the seed from green pepper, so he tried to separate them a bit, not sure quite how to but then working on making them more roughly bite-size. Then he cut the onion into half rings and mushrooms into bite-sized pieces. So far, so good!
“Now sliced those beef thinly. Used the mandolin slicer to shave the meat.”
He shaved the ribeye meat with the mandolin slicer into thin strips.
“Now, sauté your veggies.”
“I don’t know how?” Bruce said, his cheeks turned red in embarrassment. Bruce hated showing weakness so Diana loved how open he was with her.
“Sautéing is a form of dry-heat cooking that uses a hot pan and a small amount of fat to cook food quickly. The word sauté means “jump” in French. Tossing or flipping the food in the pan ensures that it cooks evenly, but it also helps keep the pan hot” Diana took a hot pan and showed Bruce how it was done.
Bruce stared at her every move with laser-like focus, memorizing them. Heat rose in her body but Diana told herself to concentrate on cooking for now.
“Sautee until all veggies are golden brown. Now, remove them from the pan and set to the side.” Bruce quickly obeyed.
“Now let me see you sauté the Ribeye beef until it is fully cook.” She moved aside for Bruce to take over.
Bruce transferred the beef into the pan and tried his hardest to copy what he had seen Diana did. It was harder than it looked.
•
“Now, season to taste with one-table-spoon salt and pepper each.” Bruce obeyed.
“Add the sauteed veggies back into the pan. Stir to combine. Top with Provolone cheese and let it melt naturally from the heat of meat and veggies for a minute. Finally, stuff your hoagie roll with the meat mixture.” Bruce obeyed.
“For the perfect sauce use the mayo.” Diana poured mayo on the cheesesteak. Then brought it to Bruce’s mouth.
He tried a bite. It was good! Did he really make this?
“If you want more of a punch, we could add horseradish to the mix or a touch of Worcestershire sauce. Would you like to try that!”
“Yes, please.”
Diana added a touch of Worcestershire sauce, it tasted better. Dick would love this!

Chapter 3: Dining
Bruce set the table, the movement was casually elegant. Pale stoneware plates were laid out beside gleaming silverware that sat on top of the red linen napkins. Watching him sparked crackling heat in her gut and an alarming wetness in her skinny jeans.
Bruce heard soft sensual, erotic melodies designed to seduce the senses drifted from the kitchen.
Diana held a few different bottles of wine in front of Bruce, the best wines from her wine cellars.
“Take your pick.”
Bruce selected the Romanée-Conti, the most noble of Pinot Noirs. Diana popped the cork off and poured it into two glasses. Then she sat down next to Bruce. Her warmth heats Bruce to his marrow.
Bruce didn’t need telling twice and take a small sip. “Wonderful.” It was rich, fruity, almost peppery. It warmed his chest and down into his belly. It was much more than the wine. He loved having her sitting next to him.
She couldn’t help but watched him took another sip. His lips, just a touch too full. His Adam’s apple, just a little too pronounced as it bobbed in his throat.
Once the glasses were empty. She took another bottle. “This is my favorite wine, Château d'Yquem” she tipped the bottle of amber-gold color wine into her glass. Then she filled Bruce’s glass. “What do you taste?”
He leaned back in his chair and took a sip. “Honeysuckle…”. How on earth could a simple word be so seductive. He made it sound like poetry.
Then he took another sip and sighed appreciatively. “Orange marmalade…and caramel.” His evident pleasure was inviting, alluring. “Smooth and subtle. Intense yet fragrant.” The look he slanted her from under his lashes made her pulse quicken. “Great choice.”
“Of course you would have a good palate too, B.” She smiled affectionately. She watched the movement of his throat as he swallowed and felt the urge to peppered it with kisses. He was as gorgeous as a fallen angel.
Bruce studied her in breathless silence. If she kissed him now, he would taste of the wine powerful and intoxicating.
As if to taunt her he finished his wine and began eating, his eyes never left hers.
Their conversation fizzled into silence while Diana watched her lover ate with easy elegance. Bruce took a long drink. His Adam’s apple bobbed against the long column of his throat. Heat curled low in her stomach. How could a man be so effortlessly elegant and sexy?
Bruce stared at Diana’s lips as they close around the cheese steak, eyes following her throat as she swallowed.
She complimented him on the food. “Not bad for your first time, Chef Bruce.” It warmed Bruce's whole soul.
There’s a stray drop of sauce on her lip, and Bruce didn’t stop himself from leaning forward and kissing the drop off his love’s mouth. He could taste the faintest tang of wine from her lips and knew he could get drunk on that alone. Her flavors were exotic, intoxicating. Like the hint of autumn in the air, she made him think of smoking fires, drifting fogs. Her body pressed eagerly against his. They kissed until his lungs screamed for air.
“Thank you.” He stroked her hair, he felt the glow that came from loving and being loved. The smile Bruce flashed Diana ought to be classified illegal, she felt like all the air had been sucked out of her lungs. It was that charming. She was so aroused. Bruce’s eyes never strayed from hers, his Adam’s apple bobbed as he swallowed his wine. Mesmerized by those thunderstorm blue eyes, her pulse thrummed.
They ate quietly for a few minutes. Even then there was contact. It ranged from knees tipped together to Bruce’s callous and warm hand massaging her shoulder. It felt good and make her even more horny at the same time. Something told her that exactly what Bruce was going for. Bruce started another conversation like he didn’t realize his effect on her. Bruce poured them both another glass of wine. There was a faint crimson flush on his cheeks. They started chatting again and sipping their drinks. Diana settled into happy, relax but horny buzz.
Bruce waited until Diana finished her wine before he reached past her to take her empty glass and plate. His hair slid against her cheek like silk. Diana sucked in a breath scented with wine and her beloved. Her whole body twitched toward the man. She realized the album had restarted at some point while they ate. The lyrics to Fools rush in drifted through the warm air between them.
'Wise men say, only fools rush in'
But I can't help falling in love with you
Shall I stay? Would it be a sin?
If I can't help falling in love with you'
'Like a river flows, surely to the sea
Darling so it goes, some things are meant to be'
The music seemed to tug at Diana heart-string. The lyrics of the song now seemed to hold a special message. Her blood felt as if it were singing just beneath her skin.
Judging from how dilated her beloved’s pupils were, Bruce was just as turned on as she was. She smiled, it felt great to know that she had such an effect on the man beside her; the very man she so adored and was growing to adore even more as day passed.
Bruce cleared the table and brought the dishes to the sink. Diana followed and mischievously patted his perfect ass. Bruce grinned, that was an ego boost.
The grin Bruce gave her was pure sex, his tongue sliding out over his bottom lips sensually. “Do you want me to do the dishes first or do you want to do me?” The way he said that was sinful, like a glutton who’d just been given the key to an endless buffet. Full of dark glee.
Diana didn’t bother answering, just leaned in and kissed Bruce with all the passion in her heart. Fireworks exploded inside in their skull. Eruptions blasted inside their body. Like Ambrosia, it addicted their mind, body, and senses completely. The whole universe instantly compressed down to their kiss, to the way they shared breath. Something inside them sang with glee, their senses racing, razor-focus, feeling every blissful touch of skin and lips on theirs.
Bruce wanted to laugh and maybe cry too because the taste of Diana in his mouth was too much. Too —
Just too. The sensations simply took control of the two of them. Of him. He let himself lose himself in the fireball of sensations. Searing flame welled, swelled then raged through Bruce, through Diana and burned. And they were no longer kissing, they were devouring each other. And it was all so perfect and -- oh God!
Diana pulled back with spit-slick lips, face flaming and panting as her Adonis carried on, urgent trail of his lips streaked down her throat. He placed biting kisses on her collarbones. When she shivered, arched, he indulged himself, nibbling along her spine, her shoulder blades.
She felt as if her bones had liquefied. It was irresistible. Her Bruce was irresistible. He always kissed like a dream. It was as if it was all he’d ever want, all he ever wanted to do. His mouth was soft, and hot. His hand, hard and strong. The strength that came from muscle and the heart. Is there anything sexier than this? He made her mind spins in Amazon’s dance, her pulse throbbing thick like kettledrum, to keep the beat.
She wanted to send that rhythm speeding.
“God, I love you.” Diana said breathlessly and her man pulled her face back and kissed her deeper and harder. A long, luxurious savoring like she was a delicate delicacy. Her knees turned to jelly. The heat rose again, more potent, more powerful, a wave of burgeoning heat, it swamped them, swelled crashed and rolled through them. Bruce kissed his Aphrodite as he wanted and intended to devour every sensual inch of her and while Diana's heart sang, his senses gloried. She was overflowing with love and desire for her man. She let out a throaty little purr.
“I Love you too.” She was the epitome of beauty, not just her exquisite face, but her spirit. “You’re my biggest weakness, but you are also my life and love and home and happiness and all the things I am still trying to readjust around.”
Diana had tears in her eyes. Life and love reflected at Bruce from his love’s eyes. He felt alive in the love he got back.
Bruce hitched her up, calloused hands cupping her ample ass. Her legs curled around her man. Bruce carried her to the bedroom. They both fall on the bed.
