Chapter 1: My Diary!
Chapter Text
Amity Blight. The name sent shivers down everyone’s spine. Little miss perfect, some would call her. She’s at the top of the food chain and everyone just wants to be with her, or be her. Captain of the softball team, living in a mansion, and worst of all, she’s got a killer body. She’s always been a prick in your side since pre-school. You guys weren’t enemies or that sorta thing…were you? You’ve sat next to her once during a school play and she didn’t seem too bothered by your presence. Maybe she wasn’t so bad after all? Your thoughts were cut short by slamming into the back of someone. The girl grunts and she falls down and you stumble beside her.
“Watch it, nitwit!” the girl snaps. You open your eyes and see notebooks, books, and pencil cases scattered between you two. You look up to then see none other than Amity Blight.
Great, just my fucking luck. You thought to yourself. You then start grabbing your belongings, hoping to not mix any of your guys stuff up. The last thing you needed right now was to bump into Amity. that was a death wish to someone like you! You weren’t always the sporty type of person, you also weren’t a total nerd…you were the more neutral kind of person. Your thoughts were cut short by a hand waving in your face, “Hello? Are you gonna say sorry for bumping into me like that?”
You look up, the princess herself only had one book in her hand same brownish color as your diary, or was that a journal? Didn’t matter, all that you were planning on was not getting your ass kicked in front of the whole school. You sigh, “Sorry for bumping into you like that, I was just distracted.”
The girl smirked. Knowing she definitely got what she wanted. Starting to walk off, Amity glared at you, “Don’t let it happen again.” She then walked off to go catch up with her mean girl posse.
You snarled under your breath and mimicked her, “Don’t let it happen again mi-mi-mi, god fuck off, bitch.” You then got up and started to head down to the hallway to your next class and saw your friend group hanging out nearby. You smiled and walked towards them.
”Y/N,” Luz said placing her arm over your shoulder, “Gus told me he saw you bump into Amity! Are you okay? Did she hurt you?” Luz said so quickly you could barely even understand.
”Yea,” you said bluntly, “I just bumped into her, that’s all.”
”You know what she does to people weaker than her,” Willow said with crossed arms piercing into your eyes.
You rolled your eyes, “Yea yea, I ain’t scared of her or anything. What’s the worst thing she could do, honestly?”
Luz looked down at you and furrowed her eyebrows, “She ruined my life, Y/N.”
You turned your head to look away from Luz. She had a point after all, Amity and Luz dated when they were about 14 and Luz won’t ever shut up about how bad it was. You could honestly care less about how it ended or whatever. You never payed attention when Luz blabbered about Amity and how she “ruined” her. You grunted, pulling Luz’s arm off your shoulder, “Point taken, I have to go to class now, bye guys.”
Your group waved at you as you headed off to your next class. Thank god this was your last class of the day. Honestly couldn’t even think you could make it through after the incident with Amity. You lied earlier when you talked about how she could barely do anything. Amity has also been known to kicking everyone’s asses around here. She never started them, too full of herself to even throw a first punch. She was smart you had to admit. Never want to start a fight on school premises, that’s what will get you suspended. You turned down the hall, the direction of your last class. You thought about how Amity was ironically always getting into fights and never lost a single one. Well, the ones at school. Who knows how many people Amity Blight fought on the streets.
You then opened the door to your final class of the day. Biology. Honestly a favorite class of yours, it was very nice to learn about life. You had always found biology interesting. Heck, you were one of the only person in your group to dissect a frog in 7th grade! That thought caught you off guard as you remember Amity was in that group. Her know it all ass wanted to have complete control over the project. Talk about being a control freak. You scoffed then went to go sit in your chair.
You sat at the front of the room. I’m your opinion, it was the best view of the board. You pulled out your notebook to look back on what you guys were learning yesterday. To be fair, you already knew a lot of the stuff you guys learned, so there wasn’t much a need to pay attention.
”Hey Y/N,” you heard a familiar smooth voice say, “how ya hanging?”
It was Gus. He was honestly a really good lab partner and a great person at identifying what something is. It’s almost as he knows everything about everything! Might you add, he was a great magician, almost like he could do actual illusions. You smile and glance up at him, “Hey Gus! I’m doing fine, honestly better now that I have company, how are you?”
He shrugs, you know the usual, “Are you sure you’re fine though? I saw you bump into Amity earlier and..”
Gus’s words started to blur out from you remembering. Why does everyone keep acting as if it’s a big deal or some shit? You bumped into someone, geez, big deal! You wondered if Amity felt the same way, maybe her friends joked about washing her off because you touched her by accident. Amity’s friend group had a reputation of being complete assholes, more asshole than Amity at best. Not in a creepy or stalker way, you always watched them during lunch. You found yourself staring at Amity, she almost looked like she didn’t wanna be there, she never socialized or anything with her girls. Her attention was always drawn to her phone. How odd, most popular girl in school and she isn’t the most social butterfly.
Your thoughts were then suddenly cut loose by Gus waving his hand in your face, “Y/N? Are are there?”
You turn your eyes towards him, “Yea, I’m here, just….just thinking.” You then looked down at the board, waiting for the teacher to come in. That specific teacher was always late to class…if only teachers could get tardies. It’s honestly unfair how students get a tardy when they’re late and teachers don’t. Like you were even doing anything important. You scoffed to yourself, and just on time, the teacher walked in. They apologized for being late, or what not.
Your eyes looked at the teacher. Their hair was a mint greenish, it was honestly a pretty color and you couldn’t lie, they pulled it off very well.
The teacher then finished putting their papers down and walked to the front of the class and sighed, “Hey guys! So I hope you guys remembered everything from last time.”
You rolled your eyes as they continued to blabber about…whatever they did blabber about. All you cared about was getting home and writing in your diary about all the crazy shit that happened today. You flipped to a new page in your notebook and started to doodle. You started off with just by drawing faces and such, then when it came to details you start to draw puffy, curly hair. The overgrown bangs were tied into a little ponytail. You then stopped to admire the drawing. Huh, kinda looks like Amity.
You pressed the eraser of your pencil against your lips softly then went back down to draw some more features onto the Blight. You hated to admit it, she was honestly very pretty and gorgeous. If only she was such a bitch, maybe things would be different. You then slightly shaded in the parts where her brown roots were starting to grow back. You know, with all that money that girl had, kinda odd she doesn’t get it re-dyed when her roots grew out. Almost as if she didn’t want to have an almost aquamarine hair color.
That’s pretty much how the rest of the class went, as the teacher blabbered on about whatever they were teaching…you were stuck to your notebook, drawing Amity. Hoping Gus wouldn’t peak over your shoulder to see what you were drawing. He wouldn’t exactly flip out, but you know he can’t keep a secret to save his own life. Coincidentally, just as you finished another drawing of Amity, the bell rang. About time. You thought to yourself as you started wrapping up your things and holding them securely in your arms.
”Catch you later, Y/N!” Gus chanted hurriedly to run out of the door.
“See ya, Augustus,” you replied chuckling. The guy always had a big burst of energy after the last class of the school day. I mean, who honestly wouldn’t. You’re finally escaping the prison for crying out loud. You started to head out the door to catch up with your friend group. You all usually walk home together, so it’s reasonable to go find them.
Existing out of your class, you notice Amity. Why is she here? You thought. Maybe she was here to pickup something or meet with her friends, who knows! You could honestly give two shits about what Amity Blight does in the meantime. You roll your eyes and go meet up with Luz and the others. It’s kind of odd Gus doesn’t wait for you, you guys meet up with the same friend group after school.
You turn down the hallway and smile you see Luz’s rugged figure. You observed the same beanie she wore everyday. Did she ever wash it? You wondered as you walked closer and greeted them.
”Hey Y/N! Thought you wouldn’t make it,” Luz said teasingly. She knows you would never walk alone. There were some…questionable people down in Gravesfield. This one town you saw a guy chasing your friend Vee because her contacts looked “alien-like” or something along those lines.
”What else would I do? Ride home in a limo like the privileged brats?” you said back teasingly. It wasn’t the funniest thing you could say, but it was along the points when it can make all your friends laugh.
”I would like to ride in a limo,” Hunter said thoughtfully. He was the nephew of the mayor of Gravesfield. It could be a possibility he was able to ride home in a limo, but that was far out of reach. His uncle despised him and his dad. Probably cause Hunter’s dad ran away from the families “legacy” to be with the local fortune teller.
”Of course you would,” Mattholomule mumbled. Hunter snapped back, you couldn’t recall exactly what he said. Probably something about how he’s the “Golden Gaurd” in your guys D&D sessions, the most powerful of them all, or some shit like that. He’s a total nerd. You all were, but you weren’t the nerdiest of the nerds. As said before, you were kinda neutral with the food chain the school had to offer. Somehow, that thought brought back the youngest Blight into your mind. How did she even get to the top of the so called food chain? Maybe it was her money, but her older siblings, the Blight Twins weren’t even as popular as their younger sister. They had a reputation of being the pranksters around school. Always leaving “kick me” signs on the back of people. Unfortunately, you were one of their victims to get the sign on your back once.
”You know what we should do tonight?” Willow said, rudely interrupting your train of thought. Your squad turn to look at the girl, she was honestly fair shaped, a little on the chubby side, but you knew what hid under that yellow trench coat she always wore.
”Don’t say another D&D game, I don’t think I can take another one of those,” Vee said. Vee was always the first one to get destroyed in your guys D&D games. She never really was good with games, ironically.
“No,” Willow replied, “I’m tired of those already. We should all have a sleepover tonight! Maybe watch some movies like, oh! Hocus Pocus!” The group then started bickering about how they should or shouldn’t watch Hocus Pocus. You found it amusing how some of your friends would fight over stuff like this. It’s almost as if half of them thought the movie was disrespectful to witch culture. If that’s even a thing…witches aren’t real. Many people claim they are, but they aren’t.
”Yo, Y/N,” Luz said waving her hand in your face, “you there?”
You shoved her hand away, “Yea, I can’t make it, I uhm…” you started to drift off to think of a lie to cancel plans. You just wanted to get home and relax and write down your feelings and maybe watch a movie of your choice.
”She’s probably gonna talk to her e-kittens,” Hunter said. He would always make fun of you for using discord. You only used to to talk about your interests. Not for anything…weird. KittySlayer#1331 was many things, but not an e-dater.
”Give me a break,” you said shoving him. “Make fun of me when you actually build up enough courage to ask the girl you like out.” Hunter immediately shut up after that. It was quite obvious he had a crush on Willow. The whole school had to know by now.
“C’mon guys,” Gus said, “Give Y/N a break, she had a rough day. I mean, I would too if I bumped into Amity Blight. Just be grateful she isn’t shoved and locked inside a locker right now!” You and your friends laughed at that. Gus always knew how to lighten the mood.
You guys were heading close to where your house was. Just a little more and you would finally be home to do whatever you wanted. Watch whatever you wanted…write whatever you wanted. You hated to admit it, but you made a lot of fanfics in your time. Shamefully all fictional characters from different anime's. Okay, maybe you were very nerdy. You then looked up and noticed you all finally reached your house.
”I’ll catch you guys later this weekend!” you said speeding off to bolt to your front door. All your friends waved goodbyes and said their “I love you” to you. It was honestly sweet when they said they loved you.
You bursted open through your front door and was greeted by your cat, Mouschi. Honestly, you don’t know what went through your 10 year old mind naming your cat Mouschi, but it did fit him and he seemed to like the name. At least, that’s what you thought. You bent down a little to pet Mouschi. Then got up to walk into the kitchen. Your house wasn’t too big, but big enough for your mom and you. She was usually working at this time, but it was normal. As you walked into the kitchen you started to think about what you wanted to eat.
You thought long and hard then the best idea came to mind, mac and cheese. Honestly, and easy meal and didn’t even make that much of a mess. You grabbed the little container, peeled off the lid and poured water into the cup. You then placed the cup into the microwave and set the time for 3 minutes. You watched the little container spin around for that duration. How? The world may never know. You smiled lightly as you heard the beep and snatched the cup out of the microwave then opened the cheese packet to pour into the cup.
You took a seat right at the kitchen table and hungrily sat down. You sighed as you forgot to grab a spoon. You then got up to grab a spoon. Or should you eat mac and cheese with a fork? WHAT IS THE RIGHT UTENSIL TO USE WHEN EATING MAC AND CHEESE?! You sighed as you sat down and took the first bite of the cheesy, creamy(hehe) mac and cheese. You then felt Mouschi gently pawing at your leg.
”You can eat after me, ya little shit,” you grumbled, stuffing another spoonful of mac and cheese into your mouth. It was honestly very stress relieving to eat a very good meal. It may have been some dollar store kraft mac and cheese, but it was top notch! Before you knew it, the whole thing was gone. You frowned as you got up to toss your spoon into the sink and throw away your container.
”Ready to eat, Mouschi?” you said walking towards Mouschi’s food bowl to pick it up and fill it up with whatever cat food concoction was in the cabinet. Mouschi meowed more verbally this time and you brushed him off. Always so eager to eat. You thought to yourself. Ironically, he was a lot like you. Maybe even kinda looked like you a little. You furrowed your eyebrows at that thought. Do pets really look like their owners? Your thoughts continued to ramble as you poured Mouschi’s food into his bowl.
”Here you go,” you said placing his food bowl onto the ground and gave two gentle pats on his head. Honestly, you were really lucky to have as well behaved as a cat as Mouschi. A lot of people would have to go through some intense training just for their cats to let their owners pet them while they’re eating.
You then walked away to go grab your diary that would lie on the edge of your counter, standing out than your other school supplies. You smiled and went to grab it then realized.
”What the fuck?” you said as you further inspected the diary. It was a light pink. That’s very odd, your diary was a brownish color, not pink. You then picked it up and walked into your room and sat at your desk placing the “diary” onto it. You then walked out of your room to go see if you grabbed the wrong notebook. You walked back into the kitchen and inspected your stack of school supplies and cursed under your breath. Your diary wasn’t there. You lost your diary. Oh no. Don’t tell me I-
You ran back into your room and flipped the diary over and boom. Right there, middle of the front cover was the name Amity Blight written in this fancy cursive handwriting. You stumbled back and slapped your hand against your forehead, “I’m so fucked,” you said as you stated at the diary plastered right in front of you.

Chapter Text
"Don't let it happen again," Amity smirked and walked off to meet with Boscha and Skara. Amity really hated being friends with her, but after her mother forced her too-- Ah who am I kidding her moms a total bitch. Amity's brows furrowed and met up with her friends.
"Oh my god," Boscha said analyzing Amity, "did that little rat give you an infection of the weirdoness?" Boscha smirked and started laughing at her own joke.
"Give me a break, Boscha," Amity said, brushing her off. "She isn't as weird like the rest of her little group is. She's the only normal one." Amity couldn't believe what she was saying. Oh fuck. Why did I just say that?? Boscha and Skara are gonna think I like that girl! Amity's face started to turn a soft red and began speed walking off. She looked back to see Skara and Boscha giving her both questionable faces. While she was looking back, she also noticed Y/N with her stupid friends and stupid Luz. Amity cursed under her breath and went to her locker to get her belongings cause, c'mon you're not about to go to class with JUST your diary.
Amity rolled her eyes and began to descend her walk to her locker. As she was passing through the waves of people, she took a quick glance at herself in the trophy cases reflection. Amity growled as she saw her brown locks starting to overgrow her green hair. Just what she needed, another reason for her mother to yell at her. Amity tried really hard to grow her hair out so it wouldn't be green anymore. Green was such a nasty color to her. Yea, maybe it symbolized the color of balance, but to her it just meant materialism to her. Green was toxic, like she would never escape the endless cycle of her mother, nagging her....neglecting her. Amity bit her lip and shook her head. No, Blights always look on the positive side.
Amity reached her locker and put in her combo. 01-27-04 was her combo, honestly she thought it was a very good combo. The numbers complimented themselves...in their own way. She sighed and look down at her...DIARY? Amity's eyes widened and her grip tightened around the brown diary. She couldn't move at all, she felt stuck. Amity's world came crashing down around her as she absorbed the thought of someone having her diary. A profound heaviness settled upon her shoulders, pinning her to the very spot where she stood. Every muscle in her body seemed frozen, as if encased in an invisible cage of despair. Time itself appeared to grind to a halt, leaving her suspended in a limbo of disbelief and confusion. Amity then got snapped back into reality as she felt a tap on her shoulder. She quickly turned around and started breathing heavily. What she saw when she turned around, she saw Emira, her older sister. She looked at her older sister in shock, her chest not resting. Amity then dropped Y/N's diary on the floor and bolted off.
"Mittens wait!" Emira called out as her younger sister sped off. Emira raised one of her eyebrows in confusion and bent down to go grab Amity's diary and put it back into her locker. Emira then started chasing Amity. Yea, she would get mean looks, but it's her sister after all. Strangely enough, Emira knew that Amity would be heading to the closest bathrooms, I mean what was the girl gonna do? Cry in the middle of the school and make a complete fool of herself? HELL NAH!
Amity's footsteps echoed in her own mind through the crowded hallway as she hurriedly made her way towards the sanctuary of the school bathroom. The weight of the world bore down upon her shoulders, threatening to crush her beneath its burden. Her breath came in shallow gasps, her heart pounding in her chest like a wild animal desperate to escape its cage. Reaching the bathroom door, she pushed it open with trembling hands and stepped inside, seeking solace within the familiar confines. The stark fluorescent lights above flickered, casting eerie shadows on the tiled walls. The air was stale, heavy with the collective stress and anxiety of countless students who had sought refuge here before her. Leaning against the cool surface of a stall door, Amity slid down and clutched her chest, desperately trying to steady her racing heart. The onslaught of emotions overwhelmed her, threatening to engulf her in a torrential wave of panic. Images of her mother's abuse flashed through her mind, haunting reminders of a painful past she had tried so hard to bury. Her breath quickened, each inhale punctuated by a choked gasp. The world around her seemed to close in, the sounds of footsteps and distant voices morphing into a disorienting cacophony.
She felt trapped, as though the walls were closing in, suffocating her with memories she couldn't escape. Tears welled up in Amity's eyes, blurring her vision as she fought to regain control. Tremors wracked her body, her trembling limbs a testament to the inner turmoil consuming her. The bruises of the past felt as fresh as ever, the pain of her mother's abuse reverberating through her bones. She pressed her hands against her ears, trying to drown out the echoes of cruel words and harsh laughter that reverberated in her mind. But the memories clawed at her, relentless in their pursuit, seeping into her thoughts and shattering any semblance of calm she desperately sought. Amidst the chaos, Amity's mind raced, searching for an escape, a way to find relief from the overwhelming surge of emotions. Her breaths came in ragged gasps, her lungs desperate for air, as if the very act of breathing had become an insurmountable task.
Suddenly, the door slowly opened and Amity nearly screamed. Tears streamed down Amity's face, her body trembling with the weight of her overwhelming emotions. In the midst of her distress, Emira rushed to her sister's side, her eyes filled with concern and compassion. Kneeling down beside Amity, Emira enveloped her in a gentle embrace, providing a safe harbor amidst the storm. Her touch was soothing, her presence a lifeline of support.
"It's okay, Amity. I'm here with you," she whispered, her voice filled with warmth and reassurance. Amity clung to Emira, seeking peace in her sister's unwavering love. Emira's steady heartbeat became a calming rhythm, grounding her in the present moment. She nestled her head against Emira's chest, finding comfort in the familiar scent that enveloped her. With each panicked breath, Emira matched Amity's rhythm, encouraging her to slow down, to find stability in the diminishing and flow of their shared breaths. She spoke softly, her voice a gentle melody that cut through the chaos within Amity's mind. "Breathe with me, Amity. In... and out. You're safe here. You're not alone." Emira's words carried a profound sense of truth, her unwavering support a lifeline for Amity. She held her sister's trembling hands, intertwining their fingers as a symbol of solidarity. In that moment, Amity felt the weight of her panic begin to ease, the storm subsiding to a gentle breeze.
"Tha- Thanks Em," Amity said, clinging to her sister.
"Anytime Mittens," Emira said in a slight teasing tone. "If you don't mind, can you tell me what happened? If you're okay with that of course."
Amity heaved a sigh, "Well, wait do you know Y/N?"
"The name sounds familiar...last name?"
"L/N,"
"Oh, I think I know her, put a "kick me" sign on her once. Did she do something to you? I swear to god if she hurt you,"
"Call down, Em. I don't think she did it intentionally," Amity said, slightly pulling away from her sister. "I was standing in the hallway, looking at Instagram and suddenly she bumps into me! We both fell to the ground, I just grabbed the nearest thing by me, assuming it was my diary, but it wasn't. God Em, I feel so stupid! I just really hope Y/N isn't the type of person to tell everyone, but what worries her most is that she's friends with Willow and Luz! I feel like those two are just out there to hurt me...if only it wasn't for mom," Amity started to cry again.
Emira placed her hand on top of Amity's, "Hey, look at me. It wasn't your fault. It was moms. Don't plan for something that was out of your control."
Amity looked away from her sister and blinked silently, "I guess you're right Em, I just really hope Y/N doesn't tell her friends about it."
"Well the school day is about to end, so there's no lunch time to spread the gossip, just get to her after class and you'll be fine, I'm 99% sure it was an accident."
"What's the 1% saying?"
"Well, that she did it on purpose and she's planning on ruining your whole life, but she seems like a nice girl. That says something, maybe you could become closer," Emira teased.
"Oh my god, shut up," Amity rolled her eyes.
"Now she's back," Emira said standing up and Amity mirrored her, brushing herself off.
"Okay, we need to get to class, the last thing I want is the teacher getting on my ass about being late," Amity said, walking towards the bathroom mirror and fixing her make-up. Thank god she wore waterproof eyeliner and mascara today. Amity inspected her outfit, making sure no crinkles ruined her white crop top with 'HEXSIDE' plastered in pink on her breasts.
"See ya, mittens," Emira called out, walking out of the bathroom. Amity waved goodbye and followed her older sister out of the bathroom as a couple minutes passed. Amity took a lot of time to recollect herself often. Amity started to trail off into the hallway and find her way to the last class of the day, homeroom. She honestly was pretty grateful this was the last class of her day. Amity started to walk to her class and took her phone and air-pods out of her skirt pocket. Music was one of the few things that helped Amity through hard times. Amity opened her Spotify and clicked on her main playlist to start her music. The song that came on was Amoeba by Clairo. Amity smiled as the peaceful bliss filled her ears and before she realized it she was at the door of her homeroom and she silently knocked.
A brunette with fish hooks as her earrings opened the door and glared at the Blight. Not many of the....non-men really appreciated Amity's presence, but the guys on the other hand? They were drooling all over her. Amity cringed at the thought and went to sit in the back. Shit! I left all of my homework in my locker. Amity internally scolded herself. Well, she could do it at home, maybe she could do some...stalking in the meantime. Amity pulled out her phone pressed on Instagram and looked up your first and last name. To Amity's luck, you were the first person to pop up on the results. Amity slowly looked around to make sure that nobody saw her about to stalk you. That could possibly ruin her reputation if anyone saw her stalking someone who's friends with Luz the "Luzer." Amity always hated when people called Luz that, even after they broke up. Amity shook herself to snap her back into a stalker mode and clicked on your profile. Instantly, the page started to load with photos of you and your friends and...a cat? Amity smiled as she saw the furry creature. She's always liked cats, Amity then click on the photos of you with your cat. She let out a silent giggle as she saw your cat with a funny filter on. Her eyes then wandered to the description of the post, 'Happy Cat Day to Mouschi!' Amity's eyebrow raised at the cat's name. What kind of person names their cat Mouschi? Amity then tapped out of the photos of you with your cat and continued stalking.
Amity nearly jumped as the bell rang. Jesus, was that bell loud. Almost as if someone was screaming! Amity rolled her eyes and put her phone back into her skirtet (it's skirt and pocket combined give me a break) and exited the class. She started to look for Professor Whispers class. Amity found that out by stalking your Instagram. Thankfully, Whispers class wasn't that far away from Amity's homeroom. Amity started to feel her heart beating out of her chest as she got closer. She then acknowledged you walking out of the classroom. Fear started overwhelming her, she struggled to muster up the courage to walk up to you and ask for her diary back. Why was it only you making her feel this way? Usually she would just walk right up to the person and intimate them and she'd get what she wanted, but Amity knew you weren't like that. You weren't gonna cower from her, she found that alluring. Amity blinked twice and her eyes widened at her own thoughts. What the fuck is wrong with me? She then started to storm towards your direction and then was suddenly stopped by a group of kids crowding the hallway.
"Move out of my way!" Amity said pushing through the crowd, she saw some people trying to protest against her shoving through them but saw them shut up when they noticed they were about to talk back to Amity Blight, but Amity didn't wanna waste her time on delinquents, the only delinquent she wanted to acknowledge was you. As she got closer, she noticed Willow glaring at her. Amity stopped dead in her tracks as she saw the shorter girl piercing into her eyes. Amity knew to never fight Willow Park, it was the smartest thing to do. Besides Amity, Willow's one of the strongest girls at Hexside. Amity furrowed her brows and then slowly started walking backwards, keeping her eye contact with Willow. She then stormed off back to her locker.
As Amity reached her locker she was furious, all of this anger was built up inside of her. She started cursing under her breath as she took her school supplies out of her locker. She then stared at your brown diary and stuffed it into her pink Louis Vuitton bag. She then threw the bag over her shoulders and started to head out of the building, making sure to avoid Boscha and Skara at all costs. The last thing she needed was to be annoyed by those two. Amity's hand gripped the strap of her backpack, to make matters even worse, softball practices didn't happen on Fridays! So there was no way for Amity to take her anger out through softball. Amity pushed through the doors and the scent of fresh air filled her nose. She smiled as she was comforted by the familiar scent of fall. Maybe she would walk home today, usually Em drives Amity and Edric to and from school, but Amity needed a walk. To try and break down what happened today.
Amity strolled along the leaf-strewn path, her steps cushioned by a vibrant carpet of red, orange, and gold. The crisp autumn air embraced her, teasing her cheeks with a gentle nip. Above, the sky was a brilliant blue canvas adorned with fluffy white clouds, lending a touch of serenity to the scene. As she walked, Amity couldn't help but be captivated by the natural spectacle unfolding around her. The trees stood tall and proud, shedding their emerald cloaks to reveal their true colors. Each step she took rustled the fallen foliage, creating a melodious symphony that danced in harmony with the soft whispers of the wind. The sunlight filtered through the canopy, casting dappled patterns of warmth and shadow upon her path. It painted a mesmerizing tapestry of light and dark, adding depth and dimension to the scenery. A gentle breeze tugged at her hair, freeing a few strands to dance upon the breeze like tiny golden ribbons. Amity marveled at the transformation nature had undergone. The once-lush greenery had transformed into a breathtaking kaleidoscope of hues. It seemed as if the trees had decided to adorn themselves in their finest attire to bid farewell to the warmth of summer. As she continued her journey, Amity noticed squirrels darting among the branches, their bushy tails flicking with excitement. They were busy gathering acorns, preparing for the colder days ahead. She smiled, feeling a sense of kinship with these industrious creatures, both navigating life's transitions in their own unique ways. The air carried a distinct earthy aroma, mingled with the scent of fallen leaves. It was a fragrance that spoke of change and new beginnings. Amity inhaled deeply, savoring the essence of the season and letting it invigorate her spirit.
Before Amity knew it, she was back at Blight Manor, sadly. Amity grunted as she walked up the pathway to her house, it was a little too much. Amity hated being this rich, a nice two-story house that wasn't enormous and looked like a castle is what she would settle for. As Amity approached her ginormous doors, she slowly turned the handle, knowing what awaited behind those doors. A whole lecture about her hair and Alador just standing/sitting there, silent. But when Amity opened the door, she wasn't bombarded with questions of where she was, she was met with a peaceful sight of the inside of her home, completely empty. Amity inspected the absence of her parents and her siblings, but still nobody was there. As she walked into the kitchen, she saw a note on the table reading, "Had some trouble at work. Won't be back for a while. - Love Mom" Amity snarled at the note then crumbled it and threw it in the nearby garbage can. That means Ed and Em are probably out doing shenanigans since mom and dad are out.
Amity sighed in relief then started to walk up the stairs to go into her room. Amity's room wasn't that far from her room, just down the hall to the right a little. As Amity held onto the banister on her stairwell, her grip tightened. The thoughts of someone finding out that she was-- Amity grunted and stormed up the stairs and went into her room slamming the door shut. She dropped her book bag onto the ground and threw herself onto her bed.
"Now what am I gonna do," Amity said while she let out a long sigh. Maybe she could DM you through Instagram and ask it back then, but that would be weird! That means she intentionally looked up your name just to find you! Not like she already has before....totally. Amity rolled over onto her back, pulled her phone out of her skirts pocket, and pressed Instagram to dm you. Amity searched up your name and pressed onto your name. The 'message' option started taunting her, Amity furrowed her eyebrows and pressed the button and started typing.

Y/N's POV
Bing!
The sudden noise made you snap your head towards the direction of your phone. You technically pounce onto your bed and scramble to get your phone in your hands and when you look at who the message is from your heart sinks.
Amity Blight now
You have something of mine, and I want it back.
You let out a shocked gasp and drop your phone and stuff it into your bed sheets. You grunt and slowly lift up your phone again to make sure you're not dreaming and see the message still there, the only difference is that the 'now' turned to '1 minute ago'. You hesitantly opened the message and saw that Amity was in the chat and your heart sank. You could feel the color drain from your face and your heartbeat starts increasing. You bite your lip and start typing and deleting. No matter the responses you came up with, you always restarted the response. Might as well just shoot yourself right then and there! You start biting your lip and pulling off the skin from it and then Amity shoots you ANOTHER message.
I see you in the chat.
You then get snapped back into reality from Amity's message and then start typing.
srry didnt know what to say..
Dammit! Out of all the things you could've said, you chose to say that!? Think next time! You curled your toes as you saw Amity typing again.
Amity: You didn't read anything in it, did you?
Y/N: no i didn't.....did you read anything in mine?
Amity: No.
Y/N: okay good, so do you wanna meet somewhere so we can exchange?
You waited for Amity's response. All you saw was the '...' and began panicking. What if she was already at your house? I mean, she is Amity Blight after all, it wouldn't be a big surprise if she randomly showed up at your house without you even giving her your address. You rolled onto your back and held your phone out, waiting for Amity's response. You then plopped your phone onto your chest and then felt a vibration and quickly picked your phone up.
Amity: You know where Gravesfield park is? Meet me there at midnight. Don't make me wait.
Y/N: k
You bit your lip and turned off your phone. It's 4:31 right now, so you had a lot of time before midnight. You furrowed your eyebrows and thought why midnight? Why not now? Almost as if Amity wanted you to give her diary back immediately, she would've asked at an earlier time. You began to worry as if Amity might see the things you wrote in there about your life and...her. You turned to your side and shut your eyes, trying to block out all of the negative stuff that was flooding your mind. You opened your eyes and Mouschi's face met yours and you screamed and rolled off your bed.
"Dammit, Mouschi!" you yelled. "Don't spook me like that ever again!" Mouschi's only response was meowing and jumping off your bed then running out of your room. You cursed under your breath as you got up. Tonight was gonna be a long night.
~~~~~~~~ 11:52 P.M ~~~~~~~~
You started walking not too long ago. The park wasn't too far from your house, so it wasn't that big of a deal. You looked up at the sky and admired the stars. They look a lot brighter than usual. You thought to yourself. Space was honestly very beautiful...and big! As you thoughts started to wonder at mysterious aspects of space, you tripped over a big rock and fell right on your face.
"Oof!" you say as you hit the ground. You let out a sharp gasp as you feel Amity's diary poke at your chest. "Son of a-" you were cut off as you lifted yourself up by your arms, almost in a push-up position, the diary fell open, and the pages were revealed. You didn't know what to do, but in the moment you looked at it in panic and could only stare at the sentence, 'If only I was born a girl.' in familiar cursive writing. You nearly squeal then pick up the diary and close it quickly, hoping Amity wasn't nearby to inspect your clumsiness. You get up on your own two feet, dust yourself and the diary off then start to finish your walk towards old Gravesfields park.
As you got closer to the park, you could make out a figure on the swing set. Since it was so dark, you could barely even see any colors, but the nearby light poles illuminated some sort of brightness so you can see your way around. It seems the figure noticed you heading its way, and started heading towards you. You knew in your heart that it was Amity, cause c'mon...who else would be at the park at midnight. As Amity got closer, you could make out what she was wearing and how she appeared. She was still wearing the clothes she wore to school, only difference was that her hair was down. You started picking up your pace, to not make the awkwardness not last as long. As you two were finally face-to-face you looked up at the slightly taller girl and held out your hand to give back her diary.
Amity hesitantly took back her diary, "Thanks."
Your body stiffened as you heard her voice. You noticed how the girl wasn't wearing any make-up. You took time to take in the light freckles plastered onto her soft face. they reminded you of the stars you saw before you tripped. You moved your eyes towards the girl's hand holding your diary, notifying her that you want what you came here for. Amity noticed this and handed you your diary. You took it out of her hands and sighed in relief.
"So," you said to break the awkward tension, "why choose here? In the middle of the night." you said, standing there looking up at the girl.
"I didn't want anybody seeing us tog-" Amity stopped. "I mean, me with someone like you."
You scoffed, "Someone like me? What exactly do you mean by that!?"
Amity furrowed her eyebrows a little, "You know exactly what I meant! You know what being seen with you could do to my reputation? I don't think so."
"You're unbelievable!" you say stomping your foot and stepping closer to her, "Why do you care so much about being seen with someone like me?"
Amity glared at you, not daring to break her gaze. She was waiting for you to throw the first punch, but you were too smart for her little tricks. "Look, maybe we got off on the wrong foot. Maybe if we just introduced ourse-" you were cut off by the Blight.
"I have no interest in getting familiar with you," Amity dead panned, "I am a Blight, we only associate with a select few."
You snarled at that, "So what? Am I just gonna be another little target for you to take your anger out on cause you're so full of yourself. Probably full of all that dick you suck." you couldn't believe what you just said. Neither could Amity, but you could tell that ignited a flame in her. A flame of rage.
You then felt one strong hand grip onto your shoulders, "You wanna say that again, L/N?"
You furrowed your eyebrows, and glared into her eyes. You knew what was coming, but waited. Slowly but surely, Amity calmed down too. You looked up at the youngest Blight to be met back with golden eyes, softer than ever. The street lights quietly complimented her green mane. You took a minute to admire her beauty. You were many things, Amity Blight, but you sure were pretty. You felt Amity slowly take her hand off your shoulder then apologize. You wanted to talk to this girl so bad, just listen and understand her! As you continued staring into her eyes, Amity broke the shared gaze by looking away.
"I'm sorry, I should go," Amity said, slightly stepping back, then turning towards the opposite direction and walking, clenching the diary to her chest.
You felt a sense of urgency rush into your veins, "Wait, Amity!" your words echoed through Amity's mind, causing her to stop midway. You didn't know where this sense of urgency came from, but you were gonna make the most of it. Amity turned back, her eyes filled with a mix of surprise and curiosity. She hesitated, unsure whether to stay or continue walking away. You took a deep breath and spoke, "Look, Amity...I don't know why but I just really wanna talk with you.
Amity's face went into a worried expression, "Look, Y/N......I....I can't. I'm sorry, but I can't," Amity then turned back around and started running towards the opposite direction, again.
You were left there with your thoughts. You stared into the direction that Amity was heading. You felt your head go down and you murmur, "God, I'm so stupid," you sniffed then started to head back home. The thought of what you saw kept playing in your head though. "If only I was born a girl." the sentence teased and taunted you. You would go to bed tonight, wondering about many things.
