Chapter Text

Readers pov:

Just another stressful day and the same loop, wake up; Dad's not home, make myself breakfast walk to my classes, 'I swear school is going by slower everyday but anyways'.. get up and leave school, walk home, dad's not home, the same old routine.. except, something change today, dad had ordered takeout and left it on the counter for me.

wow. he didn't even bother to text me and ask what I wanted he just gave me something that he thought I'd eat.. well I have no other choice now, I packed some of it in a box, it was Friday so I went and changed, grabbed my guitar and got on my bike and off to went to the beach, my favorite spot; the only spot that I could feel happy.

As I sit down my bag on the rock and I pull out my headphones and connect them to my phone, i pull out the box of sushi from my bag then I feel the exhaustion hit, god..l mean I only slept about.. what..6 hours this week?

I need to get some rest when I got home even though.. I didn't want to go home, home didn't feel like home anymore, could i even call it home anymore? dad's never there anymore, mom passed away 3 years ago, I'm all alone in that big house, I mean there's one other person in the house but they're almost never around..

it feel so empty despite the fact that there are maids and butlers everywhere.... but that's besides the point, I came here to relax not to cry, and pity myself, I began to eat the sushi from the Tupperware container and I push play on my playlist immediately my favorite song plays again, my ears and I feel at ease despite the fact I wanted to cry about a couple seconds ago.

I decide whether or not I should pull out my guitar I mean I am going to be here for a little while considering dad doesn't get home, technically that doesn't mean I have to go home but still, he doesn't get home until 11:00 p.m.

I decide to pull up my guitar once I finished with my sushi, I really should have gotten a drink, I mean.. I can drink my water that I have left over from school, yeah guess I'll drink that then, I decide I'm going to sing one of my favorite songs the song that is currently playing in my headphones.

I breathe in getting ready to sing and start playing on My guitar but before I do so I checked the time it is currently 4:32 p.m. 'okay I have time' I internally say to myself as I breathe out and begin playing my favorite song (the name of the song is ultimately btw)

By the time I'm done singing I checked the time I had sung the song a couple times so I expected some of the time to have passed but when I looked at my watch I was surprised it was currently 7:56.p.m, sometime had passed, I didn't know I was singing for so long...

I got distracted for so long that I did not notice something near the rock that I'm sitting on, it's splashing in the water and then I hear the sound of crapping like a little applause coming from the water in front of me, I can't see anything, it's dark, I wish I brought my light with me but I do see a little glimpse of something in the water it's sparkling, it's shining, it's golden and it looks like a fin.. wait..

WHAT!!...

There's a fin in the water and it's gold that wouldn't make sense... why would there be a gold fin in the water and more importantly what is it and why is it so close to the Rock?!?..

I look down at the little fin in the water and noticed that it's not just a fin but a whole creature.. I can see right through the water so it's pretty easy to tell that the fin is not just a fin but a whole..wait..

What is that..?, it doesn't look like a shark for a fish and it doesn't look like a human either.., I heard some rumors about these creatures called.. sirens! that hang around on the beach but mostly in the water, that's why no one has come out here lately, but I didn't think it was true..

But apparently it is and there's one sitting right in front of me in the water, a very cute one.. I stare down onto its eyes from above the water, tempted to reach my hand in but my urges are canceled when the creature starts to lift itself out of the water now I'm speechless.. as I back up to let the thing onto the Rock.

It's yellow in color, gold markings all over it, it has gold wrapped around it's waist kind of like a skirt and it has markings that rap around its arms.

I look up to its face it's barely out of the water but I can tell it's a very large creature, half of it is out of the water and it's already towering over me and the rock..

it has a bright smile flashing off its very sharp teeth, it has fins in the shape of sun around its head and white eyes they're so pretty reflecting off the moonlight, I hesitantly asked its name it replies back in a quick chirp "my name is Sundrop!, what's your name little friend?"

It says in a very sweet tone pleasing to my ears, I reply back "my name..is reader, nice to meet you sundrop"

I say with a little hesitant.

it looks happy that I responded, I asked him what he was doing watching me from the water, he looks like he thinks for a second, and then simply says "I think you're singing is really pretty little friend and I wanted to know your name but I didn't want to distract you from singing so I waited!"he finishes speaking with a smile, proud with his own answer which is kind of cute I'm also satisfied with he's answer.

I smile at him and say "okay, well you know my name now what you going to do now?", He stops and thinks for a second it seems he hasn't thought this far.

"Well I could introduce you to Mooney! Oo! And all the others!!"he says out of the blue with an even bigger smile than before.

others? I think to myself I asked him what he means by others he smiles and says his other friends!, Well..okay that's new, I didn't even realize it but he's holding my hands, when did he start doing that? I don't pull away though I let him hold my hands.

I checked my watch 3 hours had already passed, time flys quick I guess, I tell him that I have to go he gets sad and he begs me not to go I say "don't worry Sundrop I'll be back tomorrow I promise!"I say with a smile, he seems hesitant but content with my answer and stops pulling at my wrist and begging me to stay.

but he makes me pinky swear that I'll come back tomorrow, I agree of course, knowing that I will come back tomorrow, why wouldn't I come back tomorrow?, so I grabbed my stuff and he watches me leave he swims over and assist me getting across the water, even though I tell him it's fine, we reach sand and I wave goodbye to him and he slips back into the water, off into the unknown..

that was really strange but I got to get going wouldn't want Dad getting mad at me then I really wouldn't be coming back tomorrow, I say inside my head as I run up the stairs built into the wall on the beach and quickly run home.

I will see Sunny tomorrow and maybe I can ask him some questions..

Readers POV:

I run home going up stairs and running down the road and entering the gate of the house, I checked the time Dad's going to be home any minute now I need to get inside, I run up to the door grab my keys and unlock the front door.

I make it inside lock back the front door and run up the stairs making sure to turn off the light behind me as I run up to my bedroom on the third floor these stairs always seem so agonizing and long when I'm desperate to get to my room.

I make it to my room open the door and shut it behind me and place down my bag, I didn't give myself any time to process that I just met a siren about an hour or two ago so as I said on my bed I really like everything sink in.

I don't know how to feel I mean he seemed friendly enough it's not like if I did feel unsafe I could tell anyone.. oh well so I change I go take a shower I come back and I lay in my bed.

I check the time Dad has arrived home already it's around 3:00 a.m. now, what am I supposed to do now I have nothing to do and I can't fall asleep I could get up and draw, yeah I'll do that, maybe order something in the mail to bring to sun tomorrow.

I get up and grab my notebook and turn on my laptop as I start to sketch while I browse through what I think Sunny might like and maybe I could get something for the other one what was their name..Moonie! I think yeah I'll get something for them too.

As I finish up my digital shopping while taking breaks to let my brain Wonder and finish my drawing I looked down at the finished drawing and realized it's just a picture of sun have I really been thinking about him that much, well okay I guess I think with a small tint of blush on my face.

I get up and put the sketchbook back on the shelf and plug my laptop, I go over to the big window and push open the curtain to walk outside to my balcony, I sit on the balcony looking over I'm high up enough to see the ocean from here I let my brain Wonder and think about what Sunny's doing.

Sooner than I know it the sun was about to rise and I hadn't got any sleep I guess I have to go order some coffee, I give one more stare to the outside on my balcony before going back inside and shutting the door and shutting the curtains along with it got to change dad's going to leave here soon.

I get changed and packed some stuff in my bag like my phone, my guitar a charger, a change of clothes and money the gift's for Sun and Moon should already be here so all I got to do is pack those too and get my coffee and I'm out of here it's summer break after all, I go downstairs to see if there's breakfast made and a note on the table next to the breakfast.

I read the note it says "I'm sorry I had to leave early little sib I made you breakfast and I know you're probably going to be out on the beach by the time I get back so be careful okay I love you - bro <3".

I smiles as i read the note big bro always found a way to make me happy, he's the only one I can trust I'm glad to have as my brother, I sit down eat my breakfast and drink the coffee that I got before I sat down.

Okay I go to the front door and get the packages for Sun and Moon, I took the stuff out of the packages and put it into my bag carefully after that I'm out of the house locking it behind me and straight off to the water!

Sunny POV:

I wonder should I go back up and meet the little human, I really want them to meet Mooney but he only comes out at night time or at least afternoon, this is so frustrating I want to go see the little human again but I want to bring Mooney with me.

I pout, okay then I guess I'll go up and meet the little human without Mooney and then I'll come back and get him when it gets darker outside I think as I make my way to the Rock where the little human always is.

I make my way up to the surface of the water and peek my head out to see if the little human is here yet and I'm correct I see them walking in the water out towards the Rock, I smile and flick my tail back and forth I finally get to speak the little friend properly!.

I swim up to the little human and pull myself up to sit on the rock with them, and I start talking to them chatting about my favorite seashells asking them what they do in the when they're not at the ocean and what they do after the ocean such a fun conversation to have!!.

I haven't even seemed to notice the hours that have passed the sun was now setting I asked the human what time it is they look down at the wrist with a little bit of a surprise look and tell me it is 7:30 p.m. already, that's wonderful Mooney can come out now!.

I tell the human to wait here for a moment as I dive back into the water off to find Mooney to bring him to my new little friend to meet them, Mooney's going to like them a lot since they seem to be sleepy and drowsy a lot I'm so excited for them to meet!!.

I swim around until I finally reach Mooney's cave I knock on the inside of the wall before entering and I look up to see a pair of red eyes staring back at me only his eyes this time which is unusual but nonetheless, I tell him he has to come here for a second I have to show him something and with a little grown and some grumbling he pulls himself out of his cave yawning as he does so.

His beautiful blue body swiftly swimming up so quickly behind me, his nightcap fin falls over one of his eyes as he leans against the wall and tells me to come on and show him what I need to show him so he can go back to his nap, I smile and grab his hands and leave him back up to the little human.

He asked me where we're going with a hint of seriousness in his voice I say we're going to meet someone he says okay and then gives me a toothy smile, we reach the Rock and I tell him to wait underwater for a second he says okay and I go up out of the water and onto the rock to tell the little human that they finally get a meet Mooney!!.

They seem happy and say okay you might want to get him then I shake my head yes excitedly go back underwater and tell Mooney to poke his head out the water, he does so but hesitantly because he sees that there's a human on the rock Mooney doesn't trust the little human yet I can tell, it kind of makes me sad but I can't really blame him.

He pokes his head out a little bit with a serious look on his face, I pull half of my body out the water beside him and get on the rock and whisper into the little humans ear that he doesn't really trust them yet they say okay they don't have to trust me yet and I smile.

Mooney still looking at us from the water, I reached my hand out and caress the side of his face that's sticking out of the water he slowly melts into my touch calming down a little bit, the human pull something out of their back that I see from the corner of my eye I look over and they have 4 little boxes in their lap all of them having a different color, one's orange another one's yellow and then there's a blue one and a violet one, I asked the human what the boxes are for and they smile softly and look up at me and say they're a little present for me and moon! A present I'm so excited!!.

They asked me if I want to open one of my presents I shake my head yes eagerly and they chuckle a little bit and asked me if I want to open the yellow one or the orange one, such hard decisions, I tell them I can't make a decision and they say it's okay you can open both of them,

I smile and giggle a little bit they hand me the orange one to open first I tell them I don't want to get the box wet and also my webbed hands might make a little difficult they say okay I'll open it for you I say okay smiling bright and then I look back down at building who has fallen asleep on my hand oh silly Mooney <3 I think to myself with a soft smile on my face, the little human hands me the thing that came out the box with my other free hand it's a Sun shaped seashell, another one to add to my collection oh wow!!.

I giggle and smile at them giving me such a cute and thoughtful thing but now I can't help but Wonder now that they've met Mooney they can meet the others! I almost forgot about them aww and now I feel bad :(well I can always make up for my mistake,

I tell Moonie he has to wake up and meet the little human he groans but opens his eyes and puts his head on my lap after pulling himself up a little bit, Mooney looks a lot scarier than me so I hope the little human doesn't feel scared by him, I look over at the little human who just seems to be staring at Mooney in my lap doesn't seem scared just seems a little surprised well that's a good thing!:).

They ask me if I want to see one of the presents they got for Moon! I shake my head yes excitedly and eager to see what they got for Moon, they open up the little box and it's a moon shaped seashell to match the sun one!!, the human picks up the sun one and puts the moon and the sun one together and they connect to each other perfectly I smile with sparkle in my eyes and clap my hands together excitedly.

They smile and seem pleased with my action and they put the seashells on my lap next to Moon's face, Mooney looks up at them threatening to hurt them if they get near his face and touch it but they never do they just put the seashells down and pull away their hands which Mooney looks surprised by before burying his face back into my lap, well I guess they're getting along!!, I'll just have to out a figure a way to have a conversation with both of them I think as I smile to myself and start to pet Mooney head.

I wake up in a cold sweat and look around to find out I'm still on the beach I frantically check my watch, to see that it's almost 2:00 in the morning I nearly scream, I calm myself down and look down to see sun and moon sleeping in the water with their heads on each other, leaning on the Rock, I let out an audible sigh and see that I'm still on the rock, when the hell did I fall asleep??... I can't remember

Panic start to set in as I realized I could have died while I was sleeping, Moon nor Sun were awake.. right as panic starts set in I see a splash in the water and a vibrant orange move in the water very quickly, it's dark as hell so I can definitely see that glowing Orange swim really quickly around The Rock...

Sooner than I could react I was pinned to the Rock and my head was almost in the water as I blink and try to open my eyes frantically, I see this huge creature above me pinning me to The Rock, the panic only worsened once I realized it was not the creature that was pinning me down but the creature's hand...

I wanted to scream but I couldn't, I didn't want to alarm anyone, I didn't want sun and moon to be found out, so I stayed quiet and accepted my fate..

Except nothing came, The wet hand pinning me down never left though, so I slowly open my eyes back up again... And I see this creature looking at me with your head slightly tilted to the side as if it was confused.

I look at the creature shaking with panic and fear, and then it seems the creature had realized something because they had lessened their grip on me and basically their hand was just laying on me now.

I want to say something... But I don't, instead I bring up my arms and latch it on to one of their fingers which seems to surprise the big... Siren!, The big guy's is a siren!

They pulled their fingers off of my head and place the one that I'm grabbing beside my head, which I'm still holding on to because if I let go I might end up falling in the water.

I hear a soft hum come from the siren above me as if they are examining me, they pick me up in their hand which startles me, soon I am sitting on their hand all curled up in their fingers.

Finally bringing me to their face level I see something that shakes me down to my core... A big wicked smile.

Everything goes blurry and all I could see is that big wicked smile.. a decrypted laugh following not that far behind...I can feel my breath pick up, everything starts to get blurry again even the smile, all I can hear is my heartbeat in my ears, I can feel tears roll down my cheeks as I start hyperventilating as I try to grab something to hold on to to ground myself, to stop myself from shutting down completely.. red, thick red substance everywhere, it hurts help me someone I can hear is yelling everything so blurry..

I start to hear humming in my ear, not my heartbeat and not ringing humming... So I slowly start to come back to reality I feel a webbed finger caressing my cheek.. I start to calm my breathing as I focus on the humming my eyes are shut tight.

As I slowly started for my breathing calm I slowly open my eyes and see two beautiful orange eyes staring back at me, I squint a little bit at the sudden brightness, but open my eyes nonetheless.

The siren has its head tilted to the side as if confused about something, my grip still holds tightly on their webbed finger trying to ground myself so I don't slip back into a panic attack..

It sits there and caresses my cheek while letting me sit on their hand, I look over to make sure Sun and Moon are still asleep and I see that the siren is also caressing their faces with their webbed fingers.

I eventually slip into the comfort that is the motion of them caressing my face, and forget all my previous worries as they go down and kiss my forehead and then go straight back to caressing my face with their webbed finger.

I don't know who this big creature is but they are strangely very relaxing and they seem to know Sun and Moon so I guess it's okay for this to happen...

"My name is eclipse, little human.."

 Is all I hear before I fall asleep in the sirens hand..

I guess I met a new friend..no.. two new friends in one day, maybe even three...

Okay so we're going to start off by all the characters!:0 this will contain spoilers! so feel free to skip this chapter if you want and you can just ask what kind of sea creature the characters are in the comments!!

So first up, good old reader!

Species: human

Age: 18-20

Full name: Reader .D. MayBell

Overall appearance:

Two different colored eyes, one a nice dark blue and the other a nice light hazel brown.

Hair color and hair shape?:

Hair color is a off put whitish gray color, hair is overall quite neat but at first glance it's quite messy but that's just because reader likes to be silly and get too silly at times and it messes up their hair!

Skin tone:

It is a off grayish color very similar to the one their hair is!

Fashion sense:

It's switches a lot so you can never really tell:))

Moving on to our second character!!

Sun!!

Species: sunfish and lionfish!

Age: generally pretty old but around 26-27 in human years.

Full name: Sun drop

Overall appearance:

All white big eyes filled with nothing but curiosity and sweetness!

Hair color and shape?:

Sunny really doesn't have hair he does have his big fins rays though, which kind of act as hair; so yellow for hair color, hair shape kind of slicked back surfer hair?

Skin tone or scale color?:

They are a off yellow color with hence of Orange, all over like on their scales, they're fins and there's little tiny accents of red!

Fashion sense:

Sunny doesn't know what a fashion sense is but what he does consider clothes is mainly just seaweed or cloth that was given to him by either eclipse or ruin, reader will teach him eventually!

I will have to continue off with a second part here soon!!

I'm back with part two baby!! sorry I disappeared for a year.. forgot this book existed, welcome back if you are reading this that is :D

Moonie is the next character!

Species?:

glofish,Turkey moray.

Age?:

like sun, pretty old but in human years is about 21-26!

Full name?: moon drop.

Overall appearance:

Sleepy; dark eyes that glow when using his glow pattern during the night time!

Hair color and shape?:

Moondrop like sunny does not have hair but does have a fin that represents hair!..slightly it looks more like a hat at first glance with how much Sunny has decorated it for Moon over the past years.

Skin tone or scale color?:

A dark blackish blue with little white corresponding spots that disappear when he uses his glow function, as they get blocked out by the light, The contrast of soft Blues as you go up his torso really helps with that though!

Fashion sense?:

Moon often wears cloth that he finds around in the water, tying it to himself; using it as a bandage or simply bringing materials to Sunny, he doesn't care and it helps clean up his path when he swims around their territory so oh well?

Eclipse is next!!!

Species?:

Oarfish,glofish!

Age?:

He's hella old but if I had to Mark him an age, it probably be 32 in human years!

Full name?: Eclipse Star.

Overall appearance:

Big void eyes until he opens them and you get blinded by what is essentially a spotlight of orange hue, reader found this out the hard way; they were very confused..

Hair color and shape?:

Just a massive amount of fins no hair here.. unfortunately, he has a more of' let those fin's hang' ;he doesn't really style his fins like the other do.

Skin tone or scale color?:

A mod orange color with slight under hints of Gray and a more vibrant Orange and black.

Fashion sense?:

He takes after Reader with fashion sense, it's very funny sometimes.. 

The others think it's very cute at times when they attempt to copy Reader with what little material can fit their body, Eclipse gets very flustered whenever one brings it up and especially when they bring it up around reader themselves.. it's adorably funny.

Okay so I will be doing the extra characters we have not seen so far in the next part of this so see you whenever that is!!! yet again I'm sorry for disappearing. :,D
