But still, I am Himiko Toga. I lived the way I wanted to and was a normal girl, with the cutest smile in the whole world!
That was the last thing she thought to herself before she hit the ground after lying what used to be her enemy down. The rubble she was laying on was dry, the only things being wet were the blood coming from Ochaco’s suit and the tears running down her face. Himiko can no longer speak, not even a whisper can come out of her mouth. All she can do is breathe in and out, but that isn’t going to last long. She knew she wasn’t going to last long, ever since she became a villain. Yet she tried to anyway.
She can’t help but atleast attempt to laugh. Laugh off the pain she feels in her arm. Laugh off the fact that this is the end of her days. She will never get to see the end of the war between heroes and villains. She will never get to see either side smile if they win. But maybe it’s better that way. After all, dying on the battlefield is a much better way to go out than being locked behind bars if the heroes do end up taking the victory.
Himiko can feel Ochaco breathing in and out, slowly starting to gain consciousness, whilst her breathing on the other hand, slows down. She feels bad that she can’t give Ochaco something else to remember her by, something that wasn’t just her blood. But she guesses the All Might keychain will have a bit of her in it after she fades away.
As the last of the villains’ consciousness slips, she thinks about all the things she would’ve done if she didn’t become what she was today. She thinks about all the friends she would’ve made, all the fun she would’ve had. Sure, maybe some people would reject her, but the effort counts. She thinks about the fact that maybe her and the other U.A. girls could’ve been friends if she went to the school.
She thinks about the fact that her and Ochaco could’ve been friends, maybe even something more. But those thoughts are unfortunately cut short.
At age 17, Himiko Toga passes away. Dying a hero to her beloved and a villain to everyone else.
