   Summary

   Sometimes, Dick is scared that he doesn’t know how to love anyone in the right way. He knows love is messy, that it’s like Gotham, breathing with death yet so alive at the same time. Love is something cruel and terrifying but even more beautiful because of it. He loves without thought, but with action. Always too much, too little, and never enough. So maybe the issue isn’t love, maybe it’s just him. The issue is the way all the blood between his family never stopped spilling, how his guilt and martyr complex pushed everyone away, how he hasn’t heard from his family in months. He doesn’t know how to love his family properly anymore. (To be fair, they don’t know how to love him either.)
