Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

Prologue
In the deep woods far from civilization lived a young six year old girl named grace. She lived in a rather big log cabin in the middle of the forest with her parents and grandmother. Her parents were very busy people who traveled a lot for work so her grandmother stayed to watch her. Sadly her grandmother didn't treat her very well. She rarely ever gave the girl any attention, always making her do chores or dance. if she didn't do something right she would be brutally punished.

A few years ago her parents were out on a business trip, as always their daughter eagerly awaited their arrival back home. But they never came back. They had perished in a horrific plane crash that left her in the care of her abusive grandmother. Even though everything was to go to her, she was not over the age of 18. Meaning she was stuck with her grandmother until then.

And that's where our story begins. Grace was busy cleaning one of the antique furniture peace's in the living room when *crash* a small vase broke into thousands of pieces on the floor. Grace's eyes widened as she looked at the broken vase. Her grandmother was gonna be furious. 'Maybe if I clean it up before-'

"Grace!" Her grandmother yelled from behind looking at the broken, expensive vase. "I give you one simple job and you can't even keep this house orderly!"

"Please grandmother, I didn't mean-" she pleaded but received a backhanded slap to the face. "You should know how to clean a house!"

"But I'm six!" The young girl complained "if mommy and daddy were here they would treat me better!"

"Well there not brat!" Her grandmother grabbed her by the hair causing her to squeal in pain. "you should be grateful that I still offered to look after you, after all you have so much extra room-"

"For your party's" she mumbled, causing another back hand on the other side of her face.

"Maybe you need to be taught another lesson!" Her grandmother began pulling her up the stairs by her hair. Oh god was she in for it now. Grace began to pull away from her grandmother but she wouldn't let her move.

"No, please I won't do it again!" She pleaded but her grandmother wouldn't listen.

She was dragged to the other end of the hall and into a small room. She was pushed to her knees as her grandmother began to hit her, giveing her purple buses on her arms and legs. "Please I'm sorry, please!" She pleaded but her grandmother wouldn't stop.

"This is the only way you will learn, you have disobeyed me far too much this week. First you can't keep a house clean, then your attitude towards me, not to menchu the mix up with the dance steps at Saturday party!" Grace was kicked in the ribs causing her to scream out in pain and make her leg kick right into her grandmother's jaw. She stumbled backward toward the door. Grace sat up in pain, clutching her side. She noticed her grandmother holding her jaw which was bleeding.

The two look mortified by it, which soon turned into anger vs fear. "Now you've done it!" Her grandmother yelled as she aimed to tackle her granddaughter, but Grace rolled out of the way in time.

Grace quickly got to her feet even though she was in pain. she needed to do something to get away, something to save herself. When she made eye contact with her grandmother's crazy eyes she dashed for the window, opening it wide. Her grandmother got up with fury in her eyes and changed for the young girl. Grace gulped and moved just in Time as her grandmother charged out of the window. She screamed all the way until *splat!* Gulping grace looked over the edge to see her grandmother's body almost as flat as a pancake itself, she was gone.

Chapter Text

Grace rushed down to where her grandmother ladled, she didn't plan for her to actually jump out the window but it just happened. She knelt down next to her unsure what to do.

"Grandma?" She whispered, no reply. "Grandma I'm sorry I didn't mean to." She lightly set a hand on her but she didn't move.

"Grandmother please wake up!" She began violently shaking her but she didn't wake. Tears shot down the little girl's eyes as she weeped for her grandmother to get better. Sure she was mean but at least she gave her protection. Now who was gonna look after her now that she was gone, surely she couldn't take care of herself. But the nearest town was almost an hour drive, and the reception up here wasn't always the best. Tears rushed down her face as she layed on her last remaining relative. And that is where she remained the rest of the night.

Later that same day she woke up to someone carrying her.

"I want the mess cleaned up asap!" Yelled a man she didn't recognize.

"Yes boss!" To young boys called.

Wondering what was happening she opened her eyes to see her house getting further and further away. Her eyes darted around until she noticed the figure careing her. She screamed louder than ever as her captor dropped her from being startled. She hit the ground with a thud.

Taking a look at the creature he was blue with two sharp horns. "Please don't hurt me!" She pleaded backing away from the creature.

The blue creature was startled as well, back up from the frightened little girl. "Hay kid, it's alright. I didn't mean to-'' he said, trying to come closer but she backed up even further. "Don't touch me." She quivered in fear.

"Here, why don't we go inside, that's your house right?" The pink one pointed to her long cabin manor and she nodded.

"Hades Isn't going to be happy-" the blue one mumbled before turning and gesturing for the girl to follow.

Grace followed with her guard up. She didn't know who this guy was but it may be the only people for miles. Once back at the manor, the blue creature opened the door letting the two inside.

"Hades?" The creator shouted.

"What?! Aren't you supposed-" that when he turned the corner into the foyer. He noticed the small little girl behind his blue henchman. "Panic I thought you said they were dead!" His gray body now turned a fire read.

Grace jumped back remembering why they all looked so familiar. "You, you're from the movie!" She pointed at hades.

Hades doled himself but gave a confused look at the girl "from what?"

Grace ran into the rather large screening room and over to the rather large dvd rack. She grabbed a movie titled "Hercules" then rushed back out to where the two were waiting.

"This, mr hades." She said hand him the DVD case.

Hades looked it over, eyes widened at who was on the cover "how in the underworld did wonder boy make it onto this!" He screamed as he went up in flames.

Grace jumped back, afraid of the Greek god. She had seen almost every Disney movie but never really liked the villains. It was the one activit her grandmother had allowed her to do, watch tv when she was finished with her chores.

"You!" He pointed at the small child "how did you get your hands on this?"

"Mommy and daddy." She spoke softly as she backed away.

Hades took a breath to cool himself, his skin growing back to his usual gray. "and just where might they be?"

"Gone." She spoke, a single tear dripping from her eye.

"What do you mean gone?" He hoped it wasn't the answer he was thinking. But he was sadly mistaken.

"Dead." Her lip quivered as she tried to say the word "so is grandma."

Hades was taken back by this. This little girl had barely been on earth that long and had already lost three family members. He knelt down in front of the kid to get to her level. Placing a comforting hand on her shoulder he asked "perhaps you can tell me who you are? And how old are you?"

"Grace, I'm 6."

"We'll grace, names hades lord of the dead. Those two" he pointed over his shoulder "are my imphs pain and panic." They gave a wave to the little one as they went back to work. "Now I know this is a lot to take in, but I think you can tell we don't belong here correct?"

Grace nodded as her head snuck further into her chest.

"I take it you don't know how we got here either, but perhaps you can tell me where we are?"

"the forest"

"I can see that, but where is the forest located?"

She shrugged, "I've never left the manor."

Hades shuffled his brow in confusion "you mean, you've never been outside the forest."

Grace nodded "mommy and daddy always traveled, keeping me here with my grandmother. After they died, my grandmother forced me to be cooped up inside the manor ground, always making me dance for people or clean the house."

"Dance?" Hades asked with more confusion.

Grace grabbed the gods hand and took him to the cinema room. His imph followed him. She began to fiddle with the remote, going to YouTube and typing in her YouTube channel and clicking on the latest video her grandmother had posted 3 days ago.

(Play the song insane)

Halfway though the video Hades made Grace turn it off. He and his imps were impressed/ mortified by the sight. As much as they enjoyed the song, they didn't feel a girl this young should have listened to it. It also doesn't help that the dance moves were somewhat interesting for a six year old. Not to mention the outfit and makeup she was wearing made her look way older than she really was.

"Grace hunny, what did you parents do for a living?"

"Mommy was a model, and daddy was a doctor. They both traveled a lot, mostly together. But when they died they left me the fortune, but my grandmother didn't have anything. Grandma said that the flute could have made us last longer than our lifetimes. But since she didn't get any, she made me dance for videos and for her party's to get paid."

Hades looked dumbfounded. How could someone do this to a kid this young. Sure he had done some terrible things but at least he had a reason to do them, this though was just cruel.

"Tell you want kid." Hades said, placing a hand on her shoulder. Grace turned to look. At the god, some tears in her eyes "you let me and my imps stay and I'll keep you from ever having to do that again?"

"You will?" She asked, wiping her eyes dry.

"Well it's not like I can get home, at least I don't sense any underworld presents in this realm."

Grace smiled at the god. For once in a long time someone actually cared what she thought. Excited, she grabbed the gods hand and began pulling him out of the room.
"Kid were you taking me?" He asked in curiosity.

"On a tour, you need to know where things are or you could get lost." She spoke as if she where an adult speaking to a child. She showed them everything, from the kitchen with a large pantry, dining room, indoor pool, game room, ballroom with a small stage, a studio where she danced, a gym which was never used, and a library. even a basement that held several random things, including a small room.

"That my room" she pointed to the small dark bedroom. It was barely lit with a small window. A flat cardboard box covered with a pillow and blanket made her bed.in the corner was a pile of rags that the girl wore as clothes. Hade looked horrified at the mess, surely this couldn't be the child's room. "Was this always your room?" He asked.

Grace shook her head "that's where I stayed when my grandma watched me. And for the 2 years since my parents died." She then looked at Hades "let me show you guys your rooms."

Wanting to get away from the memory she pulled Hades back up to the main floor.
"If you'll excuse me for a moment." He walked out the door and blew his fiery head off.

"Is he ok?" She asked the two imph who were now back in the manor.

They each looked at you with concern, "Ya" pain said.

"I think" panic added. For they had never seen their boss get mad at somebody else's life.

It wasn't long before hades turned the manor, a little reader then normal. "Alright, I'm cool, I'm cool." He brushes his flame back as his skin returns to its normal color. Grace took his hand again and this time getured for the two imphs to come. Upstairs grace shows them their rooms, placing the two imps together in a room next to Hades.

Hades smiled at the room he had, huge and dark just like the underworld. "You sure know how to pick a room kid!" He glanced at every little detail.

Grace smiled then her stomach growled, she was hungry.

"You hungry?" He asked, turning to the little one.

She nodded and went to the kitchen to grab something.

After she left, Hades entered his imphs room and they were sure settling in. It was a room with two twin beds on either side, with a sort of purplish color. As the boss enters they each look at him.

"So, what's the plan boss, kick the kids out and we-" pain began to speak before hades picked him up with his gray hand "we will be doing no such thing! You boys are to treat her with respect! Are we clear?"

The two imphs quivered in hades rage and just nodded their heads. "Good, now go find a suitable room for the kid." He then left in rage.

Upon coming down he noticed the girl had an energy drink in her hands.

"Don't you want some real food?" He asked to come over to the counter.

"Grandma said these are all I can have." She sipped more making a disgusted face "I don't like them but she said I have to have one a day."

This was when Hades took the drink from her and poured it down the sink.

"Hay!" Grace yelled as her food was gone.

"Whilst I'm here, you won't be drinking these anymore." He chucked the empty bottle into the trash and whent to look in the fridge. He found an apple and some grapes and thought it would be perfect.

He grabbed a bowl, plopped the grapes in before curing the apples into slices on a plate. He shoved them over and Grace looked at them like they were a foreign food.

"Don't tell me you've never seen fruit before."

"I have, but I'm usually served leftovers."

"Leftovers?" Hades questioned.

"Ya, I usually get the leftovers of whatever my grandmother doesn't eat."

Hades slapped his head and muttered a very bad word that thankfully grace didn't hear. But when he looked back up she was happily eating the fruit placed in front of her. By the time she was finished the imphs came in saying they found a room.

Hades picked up the little girl and followed the imphs. They had led them to a room fit for a princess, full of soft and cuddled things. Grace smiled at the sight of a real bed.

"Are you cereal!" She cried as Hades plopped her on the ground.

"You mean serious and yes."

"We took the liberty of bringing your clothes up along with the rest of the stuff down in the dark room." Pain said point to the box.

Grace looked over into the box realizing how little stuff she really had. Inside was a very fue outfit and most were rather ripped or not ment for a girl her age. She found one of the dresses her grandmother had bought her that she typically wore as a nightgown. "One second" she said, running into the bathroom before coming out in a tight red dress that really showed off her curves, and brushes her grandmother has given her.

At the sight Hades snapped his finger giving the girl a completely new nightgown. Grace looked down then back at the god "No, I'm not gonna hear it!" Hades said before she even spoke "you're under my care and I'm not having you wear anything like that."

Grace just looked at the god and smiled "ok!"

Hades blinked at her response. He was respecting a tantrum but this kid was just saying ok "Ok, you mean you're not gonna fight me on this?"

"Nope. In fact I like this a lot more." She smiled at the pink nightgown she now ware.

"Well," he then turned his attention into her busing. "Who did that to you kid?"

"My grandmother, when I don't listen, I get beaten. Make me cover them up during performances." She looked down and walked over to her new bed.

Hades looked dumbfounded. First this woman tortured the girl by dancing, then an awful wardrobe, now she abused her?

He walked over to grace and picked her up, sitting her on the bed. "Grace, sweetie, is there anything else I should know about this place before I go explode in your backyard?"

Grace thought for a moment before shaking her head "not that I can think of right now."

"Good." He said as Grace climbed into bed.

"Grace from now on you have nothing to be scared of. I promise no more harm will come to you." Hades said as he tucked her in.

"Ok!" She said with a smile. Finally someone who knows how tot take care of a kid.

"Night kid" hades and the imphs said as they left.

"Night" she said as her eyes shut "hades."

Authors note:
so what did you think? Good so far? Don't worry there's more villains to come and much slower as I want to focus on giving each of them a roll in graces life. I'm also thinking doing Pixar as-well, but will wait to see how that plans out. Also you all agree that this should be mature right? Or am I just being paranoid? Anyways I love to hear what you guys think, and if you have any suggestion I'm taking them! Thanks for reading and I'll see ya next update! Goober out!

Chapter Text

The next day Hades woke up to the loud sounds of smoke detectors going off. Concerned he began teleporting all over the house trying to find an explanation for the noise. Until he came across the kitchen that was full of smoke as well as a small fire that burned on a pan.

Hades immediately rushed over to see Grace stand in her new nightgown, on a step stool covering her face as she coughed from the smoke. He quickly picked the girl up and sat her onto the long island in the center of the kitchen. He snapped his fingers and a bucket of water appeared in his hands to which he used to put out the flames. When it was out he turned to look at grace. "Just what in the underworld were you thinking?!" His flames turned bright red.

"I was trying to make breakfast." She frowned and lowered her head.

Hades sighed as he brushed his flames back, returning them to their normal blue color. He had to remember that this was a young girl who had lost everyone she knew. So he tried to take it easy on her, which was hard for a god. "You should know that cooking without an adult is dangerous."

"My Grandmother made me do most of the cooking. I was gonna surprise you with breakfast in bed." She looked up at him with a sad expression.

In Hades' head he was thinking of all the ways he could punish that woman's soul if he was back home in the underworld, but unfortunately he wasn't. "While I appreciate the gesture, kid." He turned to the now burned meal sitting on the stove then back to grace "Why don't you leave the cooking to me. How does eggs and bacon sound?"

Grace smiled and nodded her head. Eggs and bacon were some of her favorite leftovers as her grandmother never appreciated them, so they were what she could fill up on the most.

"Pain! Panic!" He called. The two imphs came rushing down and saluted at their leader. He picked Grace up and placed her on the ground "take her outside for some fresh air while I make breakfast."

"Sure t..t..thing boss!" Panic said as pain took Grace's hand.

"And don't go too far from the house!" He shouted as they dashed out of the back door. Hades turned and looked at the mess of the kitchen. He snapped his fingers immediately clearing the room of smoke, and the burnt up pan. Looking in the fridge he pulled out some bacon and a carton of eggs and got to cooking.

Five minutes later he could hear a familiar voice coming down the steps from upstairs. Hades turned his head to see cruella coming down the steps. "Finally, someone familiar." She took her cigarette out of her mouth "are you the reason for me being her cause if so, YOU ARE THE REASON I'M MISSING MY SUMMER FASHION LINE UP DEBUT!"

"Relax cruella" he began putting the eggs and bacon onto plates "i'm not the reason for us to begin here. And no, I don't know how to get home. What I do know is I think it has something to do with her." He gestured to the backyard. Cruella looked out to see the sweet little innocent grace playing some sort of game with pain and panic.

Though Cruella thought she looked adorable, she was annoyed with what she was wearing. "Are you letting her run around in a nightgown?!"

"Hay it's the only decent piece of clothing she has."

"Please tell me you aren't being serious darling." He looked over his shoulder, his face non expression. Cruella looked at him shocked as he proceeded to explain the events of the previous day. By the time Hades was done, cruella was sitting on one of the stools surrounding the counter, speechless. "Sounds just like a messed up Cinderella story. Imagine if Tremain did any of this?"

The idea of that women showing up began to make Hades boil. "I'd rather not think of that." He then turned and placed the plates of bacon and eggs onto the counter. "Think you can make her a new wardrobe?"

"Of Course darling, i can be the girls personal stylist!"

He thanked her as he walked over to the back door, opened it, and called out "Breakfast!"

The trio stopped what they were doing and rushed inside. But when Grace saw Cruella she stopped and pointed at her. "You're the Devil women!"

Cruella was taken back by the girl's comment, unsure if she heard her correctly. "I beg your pardon?!"

"You, you're the one who wanted to turn those puppies into clothes. How could you, they didn't do anything to you!"

She looked at Hades "how does she know this?"

Grace immediately took off back to the screening room and took 101 dalmation of the dvd rack. When she returned she handed the dvd case over to which cruella looked surprised and disguised. "They made a movie off of my story!"

"They did the same thing to me." Hades said as he took the dvd from her hands and tossed it aside before Cruella burned it with her cigarette. He then picked grace up and sat her in one of the stools, scooting over a plate of eggs and bacon. "Now kid, you can't call her devil women."

"But she tried to harm animals."

"So, you're eating bacon, that's an animal." Cruella countered.

"Not animals you eat, but animals that are supposed to be used as c..com..com"

"Companions?" Pain asked, trying to see if he could guess the word she was looking for.

"Ya that." She bit into the bacon and eggs, scarfing them down like she hadent eating in weeks. When she was finished she took the dvd back to the rack in the movie room.

"Well she's gonna be a bit hard to work for." Cruella mumbled as Grace walked away "know if there's a sewing room in this place?"

Hades thought for a moment "I think I saw one upstairs next to one of the bedrooms. I can show ya once the kid comes back."

Once Grace came back Hades showed them to the sewing room which had a bedroom attached to it. Perfect for cruella to unwind and work on her wardrobe for her new mandatory client.

Grace looked around at how the room changed since she was last in it. It used to be her moms and she loved designing outfits for her and her daughter to wear. The two villains watched as she looked around. "This was my mothers. Grandma locked it when they died because she didn't want me coming in here messing things up." She moved herself over to a closet in the wall and opened it. She was hoping to see a box but there was none.

"Kid, everything alright?" Hades asked as he stepped over.

"The box mom and I had clothes in, she got rid of it." She looked ready to cry but Hades lifted her up and held her. "Hey now, we're not gonna dwell on the past. Ya your grandma was a jerk but now you're gonna get a whole new wardrobe." He then handed her over to cruella who agreed with a smile. "I'll leave you two ladies to get cracking on styles. And make sure it's age appropriate cruella!"

"Don't worry hades, by the time I'm done with her, she'll look fabulous!" Grace waved bye to Hades as Cruella shut the door and placed her in a chair next to the sowing table. "So Hades tells me your grandma's fashion style was-'' she tried to find the word best for a 6 year old "interesting. So tell me what do you like?"

"Dresses, shirts, shorts, paints, anything that covers and is not made of animals. Promise me they won't be made from animals.

"But animal fur is the best-"

"PROMISE ME OR I'LL KICK YOU OUT!" Grace yelled like she was about to have a tantrum.

"Alright I promise, now let's go see what we can do for a new outfit." She sat herself down and pulled over a box of full of fabric "now, what's your favorite color?"

Chapter Text

Wail cruella helped Grace with her new wardrobe and Hades was wondering about the manor. He figured that he and cruella weren't the only ones who were gonna be showing up. So he started figuring out rooms for the others for when they would eventually show up.

He wandered aimlessly around, putting up signs with the villains name that best matched the room. It all took a good hour before he collapsed into a chair in the living room. He closed his eyes and sighed. He knew that this new life wasn't gonna be easy for any one, but he had to try and make a good life for grace.

When he reopened them he noticed a purple cloud of smoke starting spinning in the middle of the living room. From it emerged someone hades knew all too well, the voodoo man for New Orleans, Dr Facilier.

"Facilier good to see you!" Hades greeted as he stood up.

Facilier spun around and came face to face with the god. He raised a brow "Hades? What's going on? Where are we and why did I get pulled into this?"

"First off you're in graces manor and second i'm not sure why we are here."

"Grace?" He questioned.

As if on cue, little grace came bursting in calling for hades. He looked over and smiled at how she looked like a six year old. She was in a lovely pink top and colorful shorts.

"Look at the new outfit curella-" she stopped when she saw the shadow man and slowly backed up. She quickly turned and ran back straight into Cruella who had just entered the room "Don't turn me into a frog!" Facilier was startled by the girl's choice of words.

"Good, she doesn't like you either." Cruella said as she picked Grace up to comfort her.

"Cruella?" He questioned looking at her. "Alright hades, what's going on."

"I told you, this manner is that girl's home and for unknown reasons one by one when being brought here. And this girl knows us like the back of her hand" He turned and whispered in his ear of the horrors Grace endured with her grandmother.

Facilier lit up upon hearing this. "Surely this is a joke Hades."

"I'm serious Facilier, this girl really did go through all that. She got proof all around this house. Even the bruises to prove it!" He leaned over into his personal space "so you can either stay and help out or you can leave the premises."

"Fine, I'll stay and help out." He fixed his jacket as he looked back over at grace "you said she was a dancer right? What if I was her manager."

Hades rubbed the back of his neck "I don't know, the girl seems very triggered by dressing up and dancing in infront of others."

"Well we need a way of getting an income, but maybe she doesn't have to dance the way she did. I wouldn't want to make a child dance like that, but maybe we can do something else. Can I see one of these videos she's got?"

Hades nodded and walked over to Cruella "hey de vil, want to come see the kid dance?"

Grace's head lit up and looked over at Hades "but I don't want to, and I'm not in dance clothes."

"Not you Grace" he patted her on the head as he walked by "the video you showed me earlier."

"Oh, I come too then!"

"I don't think that's a good idea." Hades called back.

"Oh come on hades, how bad could this video be." Cruella stated as she began to follow them down the hall.

Hades stopped and spun himself around "Cruella, what you're about to see is gonna be one of the most disgusting things any little girl has ever done."

"You mean-" Hades nodded and Cruella gave him a look of disgust "the old lousy son of a-" she didn't finish her sentence as Grace was present. She then placed Grace on the ground "why don't you go play with pain and panic."

"No, I'm going with you. Hades doesn't even know how to work the tv."

"Tv?" Facilier asked "she got a cinema in her house?!"

"Sort of, and she's right. I don't know how to control this tv."

Cruella smiled at how dumb they were. "It's easy darling just get up and turn the knob on the tv to the channel you want."

"There's no knob. Just a remote." Grace stated as she continued down the hall. "And this is a site, not a channel."

They watched as she walked down the hall before turning into the cinema. "Well, I have to admit she's got some spite in her." Facilier compliment as they followed her. They all filed into the first row to which Grace had already loaded up YouTube on the screen.

"What's YouTube?" Cruella asked.

Grace clicked on her channel as she explained "It's a site where people can post videos, it's the original version of Tic toc. It can be on anything, and if you get enough views you get paid. But I didn't like the way I get paid, I wanted to get paid like the other girls who do silly dances, or trends." She clicked on the same video she showed hades. "Instead I got paid by doing this."

As expected the villains were mortified by what they were being shown. A six year old should have never been forced to do this. Not even a minute in Hades had her stop the video.

"That was disgusting, those clothes don't even match the music!" Cruella shouted.

"No wonder she's got so much dough, but how is this aloud? Surely there's laws against this." Facilier stated.

"Laws?" Grace asked

"There like rules, but if you break them you can get into a lot of trouble." Hades explained.

Facilier leaned over to look at Grace "You said this "YouTube" thing was a place you could post anything on. Well what do you want to do on it?"

"I want to do the trends the other girls do, and I still want to dance just not that. Maybe some reviews on items, and gameplay videos, oh we could also-"

"Alright don't get ahead of yourself, we still need to figure out a schedule and what's gonna work for you. And how this site works." Hades stated

"Oh I know how it works, grandmother showed me. All you do is record the video on the camera, upload it to the computer, she does some editing, then uploads it to YouTube." They all looked at her with confusion.

"Come I'll show you." She hopped down for the recliner and dashed for the dinning. The villains followed and by the time they got there grace was sitting at a round dining table with a laptop opened in front of her.

She opened google and clicked on the tab that was labeled YouTube. She showed them how her grandmother uploaded the videos to the computer and how they were edited then uploaded to YouTube. "And that's how I get paid."

"Wow who knew technology would get so advanced." Cruella said "all this can be done on one device."

"Ya you can do a lot from the web, gaming, watching films, even shopping."

Facilier rubbed his chin "well we are gonna need to get some stuff for the house. Grace could use some things to keep her entertained, and we could use some stuff for ourselves."

"Not to mention we're running low on food." Hades stated.

"This calls for a shopping trip, we could go to the mall!" Cruella shouted.

"What's a mall?" Grace asked.

"A mall is a place where you can go shopping. There are loads of stores, oh you would love it!"

"My grandmother did all the shopping from home. I think it's called Amazon or something."

Facilier grabbed the computer and typed the site in. He began scrolling through the sight and the villains looked surprised. "This site has everything, clothes, games, food, you name it."

Grace saw something that caught her eye. It was a game that looked very colorful and kind of sweet. "What's that?" She asked, pointing at the picture.

"That is a game, it's called candy land." Facilier said as he looked at Grace, "do you want it?"

"You mean, I can get it?" A smile came across her face.

"I don't see why not" he clicked add to cart and a box came up that read "please add credit card information"

"Credit card, what's a credit card?" Hades asked.

"There are plastic cards you use to pay for things darling, you both really need to get with the times." Cruella explained.

Grace got up from the chair and grabbed the credit card from a drawer in the kitchen. She handed them over to facilier who entered the information. It all went through successfully. They added a few things to the cart that they might need, such as clothes, food, and more entertainment for grace. It cost a lot but thankfully everything went through. "Says everything should be here between now by next wednesday."

"A week!" Hades complained.

"Well, we're not the only ones using it," Grace said.

"See this is why the mall is better, you get almost everything you want on the same day." Cruella humphed.

"Well with that out of the way." Hades said as he glanced at the digital clock on the computer. The time read noon "who wants lunch?"

Chapter 5: Chapter 4: Sorcerer like me

Summary:

grace and the villains have just finished lunch when the villains get an awful phone called. also another villain shows up, wonder who it could be?

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

The villains all sat around the round kitchen table. Hades had found a few cans of chicken noodle soup tucked away in one of the cabinets. He heated up four which was plenty for the six of them.

Grace ended up loving the new food. Not in a long time had she tasted something this good. She ended up asking for seconds, and then thirds but Hades told her to hold off and let her food digest. Last thing he wanted was a mess to clean up, if you know what I mean.

Eventually Pain and Panic finished, and they offered to play with Grace. Allowing the three adults to get down to business. Well they were, until a buzzing sound soon came from the kitchen wall. A phone hung on it and gave out an annoying *ring* noise.

“What’s that?” Facilier questions.

“It’s a phone you nitwit!” Cruella shouted as she got up from the table and answered it. “Hello?”

A man spoke on the other end. His voice was creepy, yet to the point. “Hey Julie, me and the boys were still wondering if you're still hosting next friday? Carlos wants to get an extra ticket for a friend.”

“I’m sorry, I think you have the wrong number. No one by the name of Julie lives in this address. At least, not any more.”

“What about grace?”

Cruella looks over at her fellow villains, her face spelled shocked and weary “Who asking?”

“I don’t think you're familiar with the operation that’s run at the house you now live in Miss. Tell you what, I’ll take that pesky girl off your hands for a wonderful price, all you gotta do is name it.”

Cruella's face went bright red as she screamed “Listen here buster, you ever think of calling this number again or showing up at this address I swear i'll come after you and kill you!”

The man on the other end keeped his cool “Whatever, just know I’m not the only customer who’s gonna call this number. Julie had a lot of men attend her party’s, I wouldn’t be surprised if you have some visitors this week. But if I were you I would keep that girl in her job, she makes a lot of dough doing what she does.” He chuckles darkly as he hang up.

Cruella listens to the beep on the other side for a second before slamming the phone on the wall. “That bitch!”

Both men raise a brow as Hades questions “Who was that?”

“That lady was apparently hosting one of her “party’s” this friday to show off Grace. And that guy on the phone just tried to bargain with me to sell her or keep her for the money!”

Both men gave a surprised look, but Hades looked more like he was gonna burst into a fit.

Facilier turned to hades “Hades calm yourself, we don’t need you bursting the manor into flames.”

“Calm myself. Facilier, that women only used Grace as nothing but a maid and money maker. Now grown ass men are gonna come here and expect a performance and you expect me to stay calm!” he slammed his hands onto the table as he stood.

Facilier merely smiled “exactly.”

Hades frozen and blinked. “What?”

“Well these men are expecting a show, I say we give them one. It's only a matter of time before the rest of us show up, and by the speed we all did, will have more than half by the time next friday rolls around.”

“So you're suggesting that we put on a show to scare them off?”

“Precisely.” he leaned back in his chair, putting his hands behind his head. “It's simple, we use our villainy skills to put on a show that is sure to scare them off for good. All we need to do is wait for the others to show up so we can come up with a plan.”

As if on cue, red smoke appeared in the kitchen revealing yet another one of their own. All the villains turn to see that it was the ex-royal vizier from Agrabah, Jafar. Along with his companion Iago.

“Oh great, now look at what you did!” Iago complained from Jafars shoulder.

Hades smiled at what he would call his best friend “Jaffy buddy, good to see you!”

Jafar gave him a disapproving look. “How many times must I tell you, don’t call me that! Where are we anyways, I swear if this is another one of your attempts to get back at jerk-culies you can count me out of it.”

Cruella crossed over to him and placed a hand on his shoulder “Oh relax darling, we had nothing to do with you being brought here. In Fact none of us know how we got here. All we know is that we were and this manor is owned by Grace.”

“Grace?”

Facilier gestured to the open seat next to him “I suggest you take a seat, Jafar, this is going to be a long story.”
***
Meanwhile up stairs, Pain and Panic were watching Grace in the small dance room her grandmother had built. It was a bright pink color with a mirror and bar on the back wall.

Grace had been happily dancing around, doing spins and twirls. You know, the normal dances 6 year olds do. The two imph’s had made popcorn appear, and were munching down on it as they watched her.

“She's r..r..really good at s..s..spinning, i wonder h..h..how she's not d..d..dizzy yet?” Panic questioned.

“Eh you know kids, they go until they can't go any more.” Pain said as he shoved a handful of popcorn into his mouth.

Grace eventually became too dizzy and fell onto her bottom. Both imph’s gasped and rushed over.

“Grace, you good?” Pain asked.

Grace’s head was slowly spinning in a circle as her eyes tried to readjust. Eventually the world stops spinning and she giggles “again!”

“Again?!” pain and panic asked.

“Yes, that was the most fun i've had in a long time.”

“How about we do something else.” panic then mumbled to pain “before she really gets hurt and were both cooked to a crisp.”

Pain then snapped his fingers “I know, why don't we go outside and play tag.”

“Tag?” grace questioned.

“You never played tag?” panic asked.

Grace shook her head.

“Well, all you gotta do is run around and not let the person who's it, tag you.” pain said,

Then panic added “and if you get tagged, then you have to tag someone else.”

Grace nodded “ok”

“Grate then-” pain reached out his hand and tapped Grace's shoulder “your it” and the two imph’s ran out of the room.

“Hey, not fair!” Grace called as she chased after them. She followed them through the upstairs hallway, down the stairs, and into the kitchen before they all stopped and noticed the new figure in the room.

Grace immediately recognized the newcomer with excitement “Ooo genie man’s here!”

Jafar merely looked down at her with confusion “Genie man?”

“Can you grant wishes still? if so I want a pony, money to support us our whole life, and-“

“Wowowow, slow down kid!” Iago cried as he flew over infront of Grace “he ain't a genie no more, just a regular sorcer-aaaa.”

Grace pulled Iago into a hug “And you're Iago, and my favorite sidekick. I thought you were a good guy? Why are you with him?” she eventually let go and an iago flew far across the room.

“Who is that girl?!” he squawked, gasping for breath from her hug.

“I'm Grace!” she said with exsitment.

“At Least she likes you” Facilier whispered “when she first saw me she practically ran out the door.”

“And she called me devil women to my face, '' Cruella wispered.

“Kid, Jafar’s is no longer-” Hades began to say before being interrupted by Jafar.

“I can answer for myself, Hades. Now, I'm no longer a genie because he” he pointed to Hades “brought me back as a mortal. But that doesn't mean I still can't do magic.”

Grace's eyes lit up “I want to see!”

“Grace, give the man a break he just got here.”

“But I want to see magic!” she humphed and crossed her arms.

“Here” Haded conjured up a long piece of rope with two plastic handles on either end in Grace's hands.

She looked at it with curiosity and wonder. “What is it?”

“It's a jump rope, pain and panic can show you how to use it.”

“Can Iago come too?” Grace asked the question more directed at Jafar.

“Me, I'm not going with her.” he came and landed on Jafars shoulder. "She's gonna squeeze the living daylights out of me.”

Grace lowered her head to the ground, saddened by Iago's statement. He was her favorite sidekick, and all he thought of her was a murderer.

Both imph’s noticed the change in Graced behavior and knew that had to do something.

“Fine iago, guess you're just too scared to jump rope with us.” pain said as he took the rope from Graces hands. “Come on, Grace, we don't need Bird Brain.”

“Bird Brain, who are you calling Bird Brain?!” Iago squealed as he flew in front of Pain.

“I'm just saying that even if you do play, you would still get tangled in the rope.”

“Your on!” he grabbed onto the rope with his beak and flew toward the sliding glass door that lead to the backyard. Pain smiled as his plan had work and together, him, Panic, and a now happy Grace rushed outside.

Though the four villains at the table just watched in confusion at what just happend. But none of them questioned it. Instead they all began forming their plan on how they were gonna put on a show to scare the men away for good.

Chapter 6: Chapter 5: poor unfortunate Seawitch

Summary:

after having so much fun, grace needs a sip of water and takes a sip from the pool only to fall in. that when an unexpected octopus shows up and saves her.

Chapter Text

Outside Iago, Pain, Panic, and Grace finally began their game of jump rope. Only Iago wasn’t playing fair.

“Iago you're not even jumping.” Pain yelled as he and Panic maneuvered the rope while Iago flew in mid-air.

“What do you expect, I'm a bird ya birdbrains!” Iago squawked.

“I wish I could hover,” Grace said as she carefully jumped the rope next to Iago. “This game would be easier.” After several more jumps, Grace became out of breath, unable to keep up with the rope. She soon found herself getting tangled and fell to the ground.

“Grace!” all the sidekicks shouted as they stopped and rushed to her. She slowly sat up and removed the rope from her ankles.

“Y..y..you ok?” Panic asked.

Grace nodded as she felt her throat become dry. She needed something to drink. “Water,” Grace said out of breath.

“Will go get you some.” Pain offered as he and Panic entered the house to grab some.

As the two imps entered the house, Grace looked around. Her eyes landed on the outdoor section of the pool. A year after she was born, her parents added an extension that included an indoor section of the pool. A passage was built into the wall so you could swim through in the warmer months, and in the colder months, a door could be shut between the two.

Being very thirsty she got up and walked over to the pool. She knew not to go near it without an adult, but she couldn’t wait for pain and panic.

“Grace, what are you doing?” Iago asked as he followed her.

“Getting a drink.” she panted as she knelt by the edge of the pool.

“Kid, you should be drinking that water,” he said, perching next to her. He had a bad feeling about where my lead was. One the water didn’t look drinkable, covered in pine needles and leaves. Second, he hoped she would at least know how to swim if she did fall in.

“Just a quick sip,” Grace said as she cupped her hands, and reached down to grab some. But as she grabbed some she leaned too far over and fell in. She let out a small scream before hitting the water.

“Grace!” Iago panicked as he flew over the pool trying to see her. He noticed her body sinking to the bottom. Worried, he flew to the glass door to get help.

Unfortunately for Grace, she couldn’t swim and sank to the bottom. She opened her eyes for a minute but screamed under the water as the chlorine hit them. It stung really bad. she flailed her arms and legs wildly as she tried to reach the surface. Just as she was about to run out of air however something wrapped around her body, pulling her to the surface. As soon as her head broke free of the water, she gasped for air. Her eyes popped open and she frantically looked around. She noticed that she was no longer anywhere in the water, but wrapped tightly in a tentacle. Looking to her left she noticed a woman looking at her, Ursula.

Ursula looked Grace over as if she were a foreign object. “Well, aren't you something angelfish? You remind me of that Eric boy that mermaid princess saved from a shipwreck.”

“Ursula?” Grace questioned as she gasped for air.

“So you’ve heard of me,'' Ursula smirked as she sat Grace down on the concrete surrounding the pool.

“Grace!” she turned her head to see Hades come running out with the rest of the villains. He swiftly picks her up in his arms and holds her close. “What were you thinking getting close to the pool without an adult, it's dangerous to go swimming alone.”

“Sorry.” she frowned, looking away.

“Relaxing the kid is fine,” Ursula said.

The group of villains finally looked at the octopus acknowledging her presence.

“Not the first girl I had in mind to show up, but at least now I’m not surrounded by guys.” Cruella chuckled.

Ursula put her hands on her hips. “What is this place anyway?” she looked up at the manor then at Hades. “I sure hope you didn’t take us on a “show don’t tell” vacation again.”

Hades rubbed his temples with his free hand “God why does everyone think this is my plan.”

“Cause you are the one who usually organizes the unannounced villain outings,” Jafar complained, crossing his arms.

“Says the one who tried to get us to take over the mouse club.” Hades retorted.

“Hey, that was 95% planned.” Iago squawked.

Hade was about to make a rebuttal when he noticed Grace shivering in his arms. It was becomeing early fall and the weather was starting to get cold, making it the wrong weather to swim in. With a snap of his hands, Hades conjured up a towel and wrapped Grace up. He then turned to Cruella. “You got any other outfits for the girl yet?”

“Oh, I’m sure we can figure something out,” Cruella said as she took grace from Hades arms. She then gave the girl a whiff and scrunched up her nose. “Maybe a bath as well.” She then took Grace back inside for an outfit change and a bath.

Once Cruella was inside, Ursula started asking the same questions everyone else asked on there arrival. “Alright boys, tell me what in Walt’s name is going on here?”

“We have no idea how we got here-” Facilier began

“Or why are we here-” Jafar added

“All we know is that Grace has been to the underworld and back and we intend to help her.” Hades finished.

“The kid, please Hades, who could hate a girl like her?” Ursula smirked. The men then began to explain how Grace's grandmother treated her and her demeanor quickly changed. “Surely you're joking Hades. She can't be older than seven.”

“She h..h..has,” Panic said.

“and she’s only six.” Pain added.

Upon hearing that Ursula looked dumbfounded. A six-year-old being taught to dance for men. She rested her head against her hand. “Well, this is an interesting predicament. But if you didn’t get us here, then who did?”

“No clue, we think the girl has something to do with it.” Hades spoke. “What mattress is that Grandmother is out of her life and we are here to step in.”

Jafar then smirked, “And I think you’ll come in handy for our little surprise party.”

“Me? Help you? The last time you formed a plan we ended up 3 months in jail for taking over the house of mouse.”

“Trust us Ursula, this plan is gonna require all the baddies, and no one's gonna know about it.” Facilier then began to explain the rest of their villainous plan.

Ursula scratched her chin and smirked. “I like your thinking fellas, but what’s in this for me?”
“Consider it as you don’t have a choice, and you’ll get to live in this wonderful manor,” Jafar added.

“I suppose I can lend a tentacle to your cause on one condition.”

“That being?” Iago questioned.

“I need legs, it’s hard getting around on these things.” She held up all 6 of her tentacles. “Get me that, and I’ll be glad to assist.”

“Can’t you do that yourself?” Hades mocked.

“I would if I had my necklace, unfortunately, some pesky little fish stole it from me ages ago.”

The three men looked at each other, even though they had magical powers, none could transform an octopus into a human. Facilier didn’t have his necklace so he couldn’t do it, Jafar was no longer a genie so his magic was deemed useless in the scenario, and Hades didn’t possess the capability even though he was a god. But there was one person who could.

“Very well Ursula, but on one condition.”

“isn’t me helping you with your plan enough?”

“Grace doesn’t know how to swim, so as long as we’re here, you’re gonna teach her to.”

“Me, since when did I agree to this?!”

“Since you showed up,” Jafarm smirked as the men headed back inside.

Ursula slammed a palm to her face “Why do I get roped into other people’s schemes”. And just like that two clouds of purple smoke apired on either side of her. Two eels had appeared as the smoke vanished. “At least you boy came to the party.” She sighed as she explored her so-called “new home” for the time being.

Chapter 7: Chapter 6: Fairest of them all

Summary:

after a nice bath, Cruella helps Grace get changed, but who is this mysterious guest that shows up in the closet?

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

Not long after the conversation in the backyard. Cruella had pulled Grace from the tub after a nice 15-minute bath. She shivered as Cruella wrapped her in a towel and picked her up.

“Well I was gonna put you in your onesie tonight, but until I make more we don’t have a choice in outfits.”

“Onesie?” Grace questioned.

“Oh, you’re just gonna love it.” Cruella squealed as they both exited the bathroom and across the hall to the sowing room. “It’s where the paints and shirt are connected, but it’s so much cuter than a jumpsuit. The one I made for you has-” She was cut off by yelling coming from the closet.

“Whoever you are I demand you release me from this prison at once.” Grace clung to Cruella as the unknown voice continued to bark orders. “You heard me, I am royalty and I demand you let me out!”

Listening to the voice cruella immediately recognized it. “Grim?”

“Oh for Walt’s sake, Cruella get me out of this- whatever it is!”

Holding Grace, Cruella walked over and opened the closet door. The evil queen fell face-first onto the carpet. Grace couldn’t help but let out a small chuckle.

“You insolent little brat, you’ll pay for this!” The Evil Queen shouted as she stood.

Grace, getting scared by her majesty, held onto Cruella tightly. Cruella in return, held grace the best she could. “Grim, she did nothing wrong.”

“A child like her should know not to laugh at royalty,” she mumbled as she fixed her outfit.

“A child like her has been through enough to laugh at royalty once!” Crella yelled.

“How dare you yell at me Cruella, if this were my kingdom I have you both locked away till the next millennial.”

“Please don’t lock us up, we didn’t mean to. I’m sorry for laughing at you, please don’t turn me into a hag.” Grace gulped as she buried her head into Cruella’s shoulder.

“A hag, why on earth would I do that?” she then looked at Cruella “What is going on?”

Cruella sighed as she placed Grace down on a chair. “See if you can dry off, I’ll only be a minute.”
She then pulled The Evil Queen to the other side of the room and explained everything to her. When she had finished Grimhilda looked surprised by it all. “A girl like her, sure she’s a beauty, but she’s a child.”

“You and me both. But apparently, she gets paid millions for her dances.”

“Maybe there is still hope, she does have the face of a model.” that is when she was hit what an idea “I’ll make your potions if I can be the girl stylest.”

“You will do hair and make-up for someone other than yourself? That’s a first.”

“There’s a reason I’m fairest of them all, right?” both ladies then laughed.

But it was cut short when Grace allied across the room for help. The girl was still dripping wet as she tried to put on her new onesie. Cause of how wet she was, it made it hard for her to put it on. The water made it stick to her body.

“Grace, I said dry off, not put the outfit on,” Cruella called as she and The Evil Queen came over.

“I’m sorry,” Grace said tears began to form around her eyes. The girl wasn’t having a good day. She had lots of new people enter her home, almost drowned in a pool, and was now being scolded for getting dressed. Everything was bring back memories of how her grandmother had treated her.

“Come now, a precious face like yours shouldn’t be covered in tears.” The evil queen spoke as she crouched down, picked up the towel, and dried her eyes. “No, a face like yours must smile for the world to see.”

Grace sniffed “You mean it?”

“I do.” the queen smiled “If I had my mirror, he would say you’re the fairest of them all.”

“Realy?!” Grace asked with excitement. The Queen nodded as she began drying Grace off while Cruella tried to get Grace into her outfit. As the queen began to dry Grace’s face, she noticed a small scar on her neck. Looking at it, she gently patted it with the towel before asking Grace. “What happened here, golden apple?”

When Grace realized what she was looking at she placed a hand over not only her neck but her chest too. Confused she looked at Cruella who had managed to pull the jumper up through each of Grace’s arms. “Hey Cruella, did you notice this before?”

“Notice what?” She questioned now noticing Grace’s hands covering herself.

“Grace, we won’t judge you.” the queen reminded her.

“Grandma said don’t show them to anyone, there is a reminder of my past.” Grace lifted her hands away and showed the women. “Please, I’m sorry I’m not perfect.”

“Grace no one is perfect,” Cruella said as she zipped up her jumper. It was made of a breathable material and covered in flowers. “But how did you get them?”

Grace became quiet. The question was one she did not want to answer, at least not yet.

“We understand, you can tell us when you’re ready.” The Queen spoke as both ladies stood.

“Can we go downstairs now?”

Both ladies nodded and Grace charged for the stairs. Once downstairs, the ladies found the males gathered around the dining room table.

“There’s our princess,” Jafar said from the table as he noticed them enter.

“Where’s Iago, Pain, and Panic?” Grace questioned.

“They and Iago are in the cinema” Facilier replied.

“T.V.!” Grace said as she rushed off to the cinema room, leaving the rest of the villains behind.

“Won’t she be hot in that?” Hades questioned as he watched Grace runoff.

“It’s not made of a breathable martial so she shouldn’t sweat in it,” Cruella said as she and the evil queen entered the room. “But I should get back to work on sewing up some more outfits for her.” Crulla explained “Also look what else the winds of change brought.” she gestured to The Evil Queen.

“Ah, just the person we needed to speak to. We need some potions.” Jafar inquired.

The Evil Queen nodded “Cruella filled me in on the details, I’m sure I can figure something out. But I’ll need help gathering the ingredients.”

“Just tell us what you’ll need and will get them,” Facilier stated.

“Excellent, I’ll go make a list, and see if I can recall the recipe.” and off she went to find a piece of paper and a pencil.

Cruella then turned to Hades “Hades can I borrow you?” With a nod of his head, he and Cruella entered the kitchen.

“Did any of you notice a scar on her chest?” Cruella questioned.

He lifted an eyebrow. “The kids got scars inside and out Cruella, I'm afraid you're gonna need to be more specific.”

“She’s got a literal scar on the left side of her chest and a small one on her neck” she pointed to her left shoulder just under her collarbone and then to her neck “Like she was cut there or something.”

Hades slammed a fist on the table as his body began to turn red. “That bitch, I swear if she even dared harm her with an object,” he growled.

“I know, I’m not happy about it either, but you can’t burn this house down!” She spoke, seeing that he was about to explode.

Hades let out a frustrated sigh as he ran a hand through his flaming hair. “I’m cool, I’m cool.” he then looked at Cruella “Why didn’t you notice it earlier?”

“Grimhilda was the one to spot it, while she helped me dress Grace. I have no idea how missed it. But Grace isn’t up to talking about it, at least not yet. Claiming her grandmother forbids it.”

Hades sighed once again as he leaned against the island “Hopefully she opened up to us one day, but for right now we need to focus on next weekend.”

“Agreed, and while you fellas work on the plan, I’m going to work on some fabulous outfits Grace is gonna love!” and with that, she fled upstairs to go work on Grace’s new wardrobe.

Chapter 8: Mistress Of All Evil

Summary:

Grace, Pain, and Panic all are watching a movie when a new guest shows up, and she not happy about being invited.

Chapter Text

Chapter 7: Mistress Of All Evil
Grace, Iago, Pain, and Panic all sat in the cinema. Grace had shown them how to use the DVD player and she put on her favorite movie, Aladdin. She liked it because of the genie, and iago. At the end of the movie, Pain, and Panic couldn’t help but laugh at how Iago got trapped inside the lamp with Jafar.

“Out of all the movies, why this one?!” Iago said, covering his face with his wings as the credits rolled by. They had been in there for over an hour.

“It’s my favorite,” Grace said as she clicked off the TV. “I have more if you want to watch another one.'' She got up and walked over to the DVD player, revived the DVD, and placed it back in its case before returning it to a shelf full of other Disney movies. She went to grab another when a puff of green smoke appeared in the room. It swirled for a moment before calming, revealing a tall green-skinned woman.

“Maleficent!” the three sidekicks shouted, huddling together.

Grace's eyes widened as she saw the fairy appear at the other end of the room. She trembled a little as Maleficent glanced around the room. She had seen Sleeping Beauty dozens of times to know what power MAleficent held. “HADES!” she screamed as she raced out of the room.

She ran out and down the hall, continuing to call his name. She feared the Fairy. Eventually, she found him and the guys along with the Evil Queen sitting at the kitchen table. They seemed to be talking about something, but Grace paid no mind as she rushed up to Hades, wrapping her arms around him.

Surprised, he looked down at her. “What is it sweetheart?” the god asked, lifting her onto his lap. Grace clung to him like glue, she was about to respond when Iago, Pain, and Panic entered.

“Maleficent-” Pain stated

“s..s..She’s here” Panic finished

The villains all rolled their eyes. Needless to say, things we're gonna be interesting now that she’s here. Maleficent was one, if not the most demanding villain there was, claiming to outrank the rest of them. They watched as she emerged from the hallway, her eyes narrowed onto Hades.

“Hades, what is the meaning of this?! One minute I'm plotting away in my castle, next I show up in this-” she stopped and looked around the room “Where are we even?”

“Mal, welcome to the party!” Hades said with a false smile “First, this is not my doing. Second, this is Grace's home.” He gestured to the girl on his lap.

“The Little one?” She eyed Grace suspiciously “You’re telling me this little girl is the reason we're here?”

“I'm sorry, please don’t put me to sleep,” Grace said, resting her head on Hades' shoulders.

“At least she knows who has authority.” she scoffed “Well this was lovely, but unfortunately i have more important things than to play house with you all.” she gripped her scepter in her hand and raised it.

“Wait!” The men shouted, knowing exactly what she was trying to do. But it was too late, she slammed her scepter on the ground and she was sent crashing to the floor. Diablo took off from his master and hovered above her. He crowed waiting for a response.

Maleficent shook her head as she sat up. She looked directly at the child, thinking that this was her doing. “What kind of sorcery is this?! Why won’t my powers work.”

“None of us can go back, we all tried,” Jafar said as he got up from his chair and crossed over to her. He offered her a hand. Using him and her staff, she stood herself up. “You're saying I'm stuck here, with all of you!”

“Hay it's not so bad,” Facilier said, typing away on the computer.

“No so bad, do you all even remember the last time we tried to do something together? We wound up burning the hotel down!” Maleficent shouted, remember the last time Hades had gathered them on one of his, show don’t tell trips.

Hades shrugged with a smirk “What can I say, if someone can’t do something right, do it yourself.”

“Out of all the insufferable people-” Maleficent sighed in frustration. She hated her fellow colleagues, each one worse than the other. There were only a few she could tolerate, and now she was stuck with them for who knows how long. “Why are we here anyway?”

Hades looked down at Grace. He knew she shouldn’t be present for the conversation. “Grace, why don't you go show Diablo around, ok?” Grace gave a silent nod as she got down from his lap. She gestured for the bride to follow. Dablow looked at his mistress for permission.

“Go ahead my pet,” she spoke rather gently to the creature. Dablow nodded and followed the girl down the hall.

“Wait for us grace!” Pain said as he, Panic, and Iago followed.

****
When Grace was out of ear shot, Hades stood and walked over to Maleficent. “Mal, the girl has been through a lot.”

Maleficent rolled her eyes “please Hades, what had that girl been through that we all haven’t.” Hades then proceeds to explain what happened to Grace and how they all have been showing up one by one. Maleficent looked at him slightly astonished by the information. “Surely that can’t be true.”

“Whole thing, even has the outfits and videos to prove it.” The Evil Queen said.

“That is why we are helping her. She has been through more torture than any of us have.” Hades added.

“And just how are you gonna help a child already scared?” Maleficent questioned.

“By preventing it from ever happening again,” Jafar answered.

MAleficent looked at them, intrigued “Go on”

“The grandmother, from the information we've gathered, hosted a party at least once a month. She’s got one coming up next Friday, we plan on giving them a show, just not one they are expecting.” Facilier explained with a toothy grin. The villains then proceed to explain their plan to her.

“Are you sure this is gonna work?” She questioned.

“What other choice do we have?” Hades said as he wrapped an arm around her “Think of it like this Mal, you're saving someone from turning out like the rest of us.”

“You say it like it's a bad thing.” She let a smirk cross her lips.

Hades shrugged “Tamato tomato, you in or not?”

“Not like I have any other option” she scoffed.

“See, i knew you had a soft spot.” he grinned as he let go of her and rubbed his hands together. He glanced at the clock, time was almost six. “Now, who's ready for supper?”

Chapter Text

While the villains were getting dinner ready, Grace, Pain, Panic, and Iago were busy showing Diablo around. They were currently on the first floor when they came across the living room. Its door was shut, but there were voices coming from the inside.

Grace tilted her head to the side as she approached the door. Wondering who would be the next to arrive. She looked at the sidekicks. “Should we enter?”

Iago put himself up to the door, Raising his wing to hear better. His face dropped as he recognized the voices. “Great, the animal party has arrived.”

“Animal party?!” Grace asked with excitement. She loved animals, even though she had only seen the woodland creatures from the various windows or the ones in the movies. She raced over to the door and grabbed the handle. She pulled it open causing a squeak to echo through the house.

This caught the animals, or should we say villains, by surprise. Grace’s face lit up in awe as she saw two lions, a tiger, and two snakes. One of the lions was on four paws, Scar. The other was on two legs dressed in royal attire, Prince John. The tiger was on all fours, Shere Khan. There was also a snake with a hat, Sir Hiss, and a regular snake, Kaa. They all looked surprised at first, but their faces quickly changed to scowls.

“What is the meaning of this?!” Scar questioned. “One minute I’m surrounded by hyenas, and now I’m surrounded by” he rolled his eyes and muttered the last part “idiots.”

“Idiots, I’ll have you know I’m a king!” Prince John said, waving a finger in his face.

“I believe you mean prince, sire.” Sir Hiss corrected.

Grace, tuning out the conversation between them, stepped forward. She greeted them with a smile. “Hi!” The villains all looked at her. “I’m Grace, are you here to help me too?”

“Help you, a Man Cub?” Shere Khan asked, a bit irritated.

Grace tilted her head “Yes, I mean, that’s what the others said.”

“Otherssss, what otherssss?” Kaa asked as he slithered his way in front of the group.

Grace turned to look at the Sidekicks, who hadn’t moved from the doorway. The animals all looked in the same direction, the sidekicks gave friendly waves and their faces as the animals' faces immediately dropped. “Great, now we really are surrounded by idiots,” Scar repeated as he sat on his hind leg, putting one of his paws over his eyes.”

“Who ya callin’ an idiot!” Iago squawked as he flew over and landed on her shoulder.

“Would you please stop it with the name-calling?” Sir Hiss said to Scar before looking at Grace and Iago “Would someone please tell us what’s going on?”

“You’re here because, well,” Grace tried to explain, but she didn’t even have the answers herself.

“We’re here to help her.” Pain said as he raced into the room, standing beside her.

“You mean to say this, man-cub brought us here?” Shere Khan asked, spying Grace suspiciously.

“Y..y..yes,” Panic said. “S..s..she wished on a s..s..star, and w..w..well”

“It looked like it brought us here one by one.” Iago squawked, followed by a crow from Diablo.

“So a wish brought ussss here?” Kaa questioned as Grace nodded.

“I didn’t know that was gonna happen,” she responded sheepishly. “But I’m glad you’re here to help. I like animals.”

“As much as we would love to help you, we have our own agendas,” Scar said sarcastically, getting back on his paws. “Now how do we get back home?”

“Afraid that’s not an option.” a new voice said. Everyone turned to the doorway to see Hades standing there. “Hades!” Grace shouted, running over to him. Iago flew off her shoulder as she ran into the god’s arms. “Hay Kiddo,” he said, picking her up. “I see you found more company.”

Grace nodded, “I like them, their animals.”

Hades Raised a brow “Do you even know who they are?”

Grace nodded as she pointed to each character as she listed their names and what movie they were from. “That’s Scar, he took the throne from brother till Simba Killed him. That’s Kaa and Shere Khan, they used to rule the Jungle. And that’s Prince John and Sir Hiss, they used to rule Nottingham.”

The animals all looked dumbfounded, surprised to know she knew all about them. “Guess you do know them.” Hades praised as he sat you on your feet. “Why don’t you head to the dinner table whilst I let our new guest know the situation, ok?”

“Yay, food!” Grace cried as she raced for the dinner table.

Once Grace was out of earshot, Shere Khan was the first to speak. “Quite the company you keep, hades.”

“Hey, I didn’t ask to be taking care of a child.” Hades crossed his arms.

“Then why ssstil have her around, why have you disssposed of her yet?” Kaa questioned

That was when Hades stepped forward into the room. His head started to turn red. “Because that kid has been through more than any of us.”

“Please Hades, what could that kid have gone through that could be worse than us?” Sir Hiss questioned.

Hades's eyes widened as he explained harshly about what had happened to Grace. His hair started to turn a fury red and he spoke in a low but menacing voice. He finished his explanation with a warning. “If any of you dare lay a paw, tail, or claw on her, I swear I’ll send you to the underworld fast then you can say Zuze.”

“Mummy!” Prince John shouted before putting his thumb in his mouth. The villains all rolled their eyes at Prince John’s outburst, except Sir Hiss who went to comfort his master. Scar looked up at Hades. “You were right, that girl has been through more than us, but just how are we supposed to help her?”

Hades smoothed out his hair, returning it to its normal shade of blue. “We’ve been putting together a plan, I’m not sure how John will fit into the equation but I think you, Shere Khan, and Kaa will play a good role.”

“And jussst what do we get in return?” Kaa questioned.

Hades crossed his arms once again. “Simple, you help out with the plan, you can stay here with the rest of us.”

The animals all looked at each other before nodding. “Very well Hades, not like we have another choice.” Shere Khan said.

“Excellent.” That is when Hades began to explain what they had in mind before heading to the dining room.

***
In the dining room, Grace was watching as Jafar magically set the table with his staff. She watched with glee as the cups, plates, and silverware magically flew across the table to its correct place.

It was then that Facilier and Grimhilda entered with a pot full of spaghetti and meatballs. They sat it down in the middle of the table before taking their seat. Grimhilda took the seat on the Far left, then Facilier, followed by Jafar. Next to enter was Maleficent and Ursula who was now in her human form. Maleficent took the end, While Ursula took the seat to her left. Then there was Cruella who took the seat in between Grace and Ursula. It was a moment before they started to question Hades and the Sidekick's whereabouts.

“Where Hades?” Maleficent asked impatiently.

“He’s talking to the new guys,” Grace said.

“New guys?” the villains question in unison. Just then Hades, the sidekicks, and newcomers came in. “Look what the wish pulled in.” Hades said sarcastically as the villains all rolled their eyes at each other.

“Grate, this place is turning into a zoo,” Jafar mumbled.

“Says the man who could barely hold his throne for five minutes.” Scare retorted.

“Says the lion that was defeated by his nephew.” Jafar countered. At that scar growled, ready to pounce on him when Hades stepped between the two. “Listen, I know none of us are happy to see each other, but if we’re all gonna be under the same roof, then we need to be nice to each other,” he said the word nice with distaste. “Now let’s have some dinner.”

Hades conjured up some dog bowls for the snakes, lions, and tigers. Prince John, however, ended up throwing a hissy fit about how he wasn’t a savage animal. Getting fed up, Hades extended the table, allowing him to sit down with the rest of them, which none of the villains were happy about.

They then finally started the dinner service. Hades snapped his finger once again, allowing an equal distribution onto everyone’s plate. Except Grace who was given a smaller portion. They all dug in. Grace gobbled her down so fast, that she asked for seconds and finished them before any of the other villains finished their first serving. By the time the meal was over for everyone, Grace let out a yawn, boy was she tired?

“Sleepy kiddo?” Hades questioned to which she nodded. Cruella then stood up and lifted you into her arms. “I’ll take care of her tonight.” she cooed as she carried Grace upstairs to her bedroom. Once upstairs she changed graces into a brand new nightgown she had made. It was a solid purple with bright pink trim. She then tucked the little one into bed and kissed her on the forehead. “Goodnight, my little fashionista.”

“Goodnight,” Grace whispered as she closed her eyes and drifted off into a peaceful slumber.

Chapter 10: Did Somebody Call A Mad Doctor

Summary:

the mad doctor shows up.

Chapter Text

The next morning everyone was up and about. The villains were all downstairs discussing their plans. So Grace along with Iago, Diablo, Pain, and Panic went to explore the manor on their own. They had been up and down the halls many times, but there were still several rooms yet to be explored. So they decided to make a game out of it. They were explorers exploring an ancient temple.

“This temple sure is big,” Grace stated as they ventured through the manor’s upstairs halls.

“Sure is.” Pain said, waddling along next to her.

“H..h..hopefully, there's n..n…no traps.” Panic added.

“Caw!” Diablo crowded as he flew overhead.

“On shut up ya bird brain, let the kid have some fun.” Iago squawked, before landing on Grace's shoulder. “Where to next kid?”

Grace looked around the semi-familiar hall. It was mostly bedrooms and bathrooms, but there was one room that she had completely forgotten about. At the end of the was a door that Grace pointed to. “Let’s see what's in there, maybe it's the treasure!” She said with excitement as she ran up to the door.

Reaching it, she stood on her toes and grasped the handle. She pulled it open and inside was a very dusty, Doctors office? The whole room was covered in dust and cobwebs. There were cabinets full of medical equipment, and vials full of medicine. There was even a metal table in the middle of the room with a bright lamp light overhead that no longer worked. Pain and Panic peeked around either side of Grace as Diablo flew overhead. They all looked at it in confusion.

“What is this place?” Pain questioned.

Grace stepped further inside. Her face fell as the memories came rushing back. She let out a small sniffle grabbing Iago's attention. He bent forward, looking at her. “You alright kid?”

“Daddy’s workspace,” she said quietly. “This is where he helped me and Mommy. When we were hurt, or when I was sick.” her small hand went to the scar on her chest. She frowned “I miss him and mommy, they always made things better.” treats began to form in her eyes.

“I know, kid.” Iago lifted his wing and patted her on the head. “But hey, now you got us.”

Grace didn't answer as she stepped further into the room. “This was the last place daddy helped me, a few days before mommy and him left.” she frowned. “Daddy had taken out my medicine tube and grandma came to take care of me while they were gone.” her face scrunched up as she crumpled to the floor. Iago flew off her shoulder and hovered in the air. “I want them back!”

Pain rushed over, shape-shifting into an adult. He picked Grace up and hugged her. “It's ok, Grace,” he said, unsure what to do. He looked to Pain as if to ask for advice but he just shrugged. “M..m..maybe Hades can h..h..help,” he suggested.

“Good idea.” Pain said as he carried Grace out of the room. Panic followed, and Iago was about to when something caught his eye. One of the countertops was an old file covered in dust. He flew over and landed next to it. He swiped away the dust with his wing revealing a name, Grace. He knocked it open with his beak. Inside were a bunch of medical documents about her. But the first one coughs his eyes.

Name: Grace
Age: 3
Birthday: 1/20
Diagnosis: ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia)
Treatment: chemotherapy through port and bone marrow transplant.
Note: remission as of 9/23

Diablo let out a caw from behind him. Iago looked over with a sad expression. “We should show the others.” with that he plopped it in his mouth and the two birds flew downstairs.

***
Downstairs Hades, Facilier, Prince John, Shere Khan, and Scar were sitting in the living room. Hades, Facilier, and Prince John were discussing financial stuff. Surprisingly Prince John had a knack for saving, and Facilier’s business model seemed promising.

“All we need to do is make sure her upload schedule stays consistent and the cash will come pouring in.” Facilier explained, “though we just need to figure out what to film.”

“Definitely none of that sketchy dancing,” Hade said with disgust. Just then Pain came running into the room, calling Hades' name. The villains all looked up to see Grace messed up in his arms, crying.

Hades immediately stood up, snatching Grace from his arms. He looked at Pain as he turned back into an imp, furious. “What did you idiots do to the kid?!”

“It wasn’t us!” Pain said in defense and Panic entered. “She saw a room that brought back memories.”

Grace leaned against Hades shoulder, tears staging his toga. Usually, he would get mad if anything happened to his Greek attire, but he didn’t care when it came to her. “It’s alright grace, Hades here.”

“Mommy and Daddy, I want Mommy and Daddy.” she cried.

Hades sighed as he brushed some hair out of her face. “I know, kid, but they’re in a better place.”

Just then Iago and Diablo flew into the room. Diablo let out a loud caw as they both landed on the table. Everyone looked at the two as Iago dropped the file on the table. “You need to see this” he squawked. They all looked at it in confusion. Facilier closed his laptop before picking up the file. He opened it and his eyes winded.

“What grandmother treats a child like this after what she’s been through!” Facilier shouted, tossing the open file onto the table.

“What's all?” Prince John questioned.

Facilier turned to the fearful lion with a look of disgust. “ALL you nitwit, a type of cancer. Or in simpler terms an illness.”

“Oh..” Prince John said as Hades bent down, picking up the file in one hand. He examined it before turning to grace. “Is that what the scars are from?”

Grace gave a small nod, drying her eyes. “Daddy made me better. But grandma said not to tell anyone.”

“Well, at least you're in remission.” Hades said as he plopped it back onto the table. While in his head he was cursing the women, picturing how he would torture her if he was back in the underworld.

Just then a cloud of white smoke appeared in the middle of the room. It swirled into a tornado before vanishing, revealing the Mad Doctor from the Epic Mickey video game.

Hades rolled his eyes “Greate the docs here too.” he said sarcastically.

The Mad Doctor looked around at his surroundings. He raids a brow in confusion. His eyes landed on Hades with a perplexed look “Hades what a surprise, but what did I tell you about pulling me away from my lab without notice.?”

“For once, it wasn't me!” Hades shouted, having to repeat this for the umpteenth time.

“Hades, who’s that?” Grace questioned, pointing at the bald animated man in a lab coat.

“That my dear, is The Mad Doctor.” He said with less enthusiasm.

“Wow hades, I didn't know you were a father,” Mad said with a grin.

“I'm not.” Hades rolled his eyes. “The kid brought us here on a wish.”

“What?” he looked at Grace “You mean to tell me this child wished for a bunch of villains?”

“Not exactly,” Facilier said, getting up from his chair. He whispered in the doctor's ear about Grace's past. His eyes widened in surprise but a smile quickly gave way. “Oh, well in that case I’d be glad to lend a hand where I can.”

“And just how can you fit into our equation?” Facilier questioned as he went back to the couch.

“Well, the child’s gonna need someone to make sure she stays healthy. And unlike the rest of you, I possess medical terminology.” Mad grinned as he crossed his arms.

“He does have a point.” Pain added.

The villains all exchanged glances with each other. They all sighed and rolled their eyes in agreement. If anything did happen to Grace, they didn’t have the medical knowledge to handle it. And they sure couldn’t walk into a hospital as villains.

“Fine. but you are to only treat her, not experiment on her. Do we make ourselves clear?” Hades questioned.

“I would never dream of it,” he said with a smile.

Chapter 11: Chapter 10: tower parents

Summary:

tower parents, i wonder what that means?

Chapter Text

After the Mad Doctor arrived, Grace showed him to the medical room. While the rest of the villains gathered around the dining room table chatting about their upcoming plan. Facilier took notes using the computer while the others sipped on cups of coffee or tea, as the animals lay on the ground by the sliding door.

“Well, it only seems like more of us are gonna be showing up,” Hades said from the head of the table. The villains nodded, slowly they were all showing up, and all seemed to be at a time they were needed. Well most of them.

Scar and Shere Khan lay by the screen door, nodding in agreement when a crisp air came blowing through. Both lions stiffened as their fur blew upwards.

“The wind sure is picking up,” Scar said, looking outside.

“September is approaching, who knows what the weather is like in the fall.” Shere Khan added.

“Speaking of September, what do we do about the girl’s education?” The Evil Queen added.

“Well, we can't just send her to school, the girl hardly knows the world outside. Not to mention the cruel people out there.” Ursula, who was now in her human form, asked.

“We could always home-school her,” Facilier added.

“Homeschool her? Facilier, Dahling, I don't know if you noticed but were villains, not school teachers.” Cruella retorted.

“I'm sure someone will come in time who can handle that. Till then we let the kid have some fun.” Hades said as he leaned back in his chair. “For now we focus on the plan ahead, Facilier who did we leave off with?”

***
After Grace had shown the mad doctor her father’s office, she went back to dancing in the studio. Iago was watching her, flying circles around making her giggle as she spun.

“Weee!” she smiled, pretending to be a helicopter propeller.

“Do you ever get dizzy, kid?” Iago asked, starting to feel dizzy. He flew over to the bar and perched himself upon it as he watched Grace continue to spin.

“Nope,” she said, coming to a stop and facing Iago. She was about to say something when smoke appeared in the room. A cloud of purple and Red mixed together creating a spiral. When it vanished an older man appeared kissing a younger woman. Grace looked over, studying them as they came into view. Her eyes widened as her mouth dropped open just a bit. The sight of the kissing brought back bad memories of the bad men her grandmother used to invite over. She watched as they separated and then looked around in surprise. Their eyes eventually fell on her, face both of shock and annoyance. She recognized the woman as Mother Gothel from Tangled, but the man she could not place.

The man pointed at her, his face furious. “You girl, where are we?” the man questioned in a harsh tone.

Grace froze for a moment before turning and racing out of the room screaming Hades’ name. Iago took off following her, calling after her. When she reached the dining room, she raced over to Hades in a panic state.

“Whoa, there kid.” Hades said lifting you up onto his lap. “What's got you startled all of a sudden?”

“A man and woman appeared, they were kissing!” Grace said, petrified written all over her face as she clung to him once more.

“Kissing, who on earth would arrive here as a couple?” Maleficent questioned.

“Frollo and Gothel, that's who.” Iago crawled as he landed on the table. All the villains let out a growth once again.

“Grate we got the youthful tower parent and the religious tower parent, what’s next? The swamp and desert kidnapping duo?” Jafar questioned.

Hades looked down at Grace. “Do you know who those two are?”

Grace nodded and shook her head. “I know Gothel, but Frollo- who’s that?” her face turned to one of fear once again. Afraid he was like one of the men her grandmother used to have over.

Hades sighed, slightly relieved you didn’t know who Frollo was. “Probably best I don’t tell you.” ‘least not yet’ he said in his mind

As if on cue, through the door Grace and Iago raced through, appeared Gothel and Frollo. Neither of them looked pleased to see any of the villains in the room.

“Hades I should have known!” Frollo shouted.

“God, why do you all think this was my doing?!” he shouted, standing up in his chair, holding Grace tightly in his arms.

“If I recall, the last time we were all unanimously summoned, we ended up trying to kill each other at that resort,” Gothel added, hands on her hips.

“At least you two ended up staying together.” Prince John added, earning snickers from the rest of the table.

“Silence!” Frollo shouted. “If this wasn’t Hades’ idea, then who was it? We were in the middle of something important before we were somehow brought here.”

“You can thank the kid for that,” Maleficent stated, returning to Grace.

Frollo and Gothel both looked at her with confusion. “That child brought us here?” Gothel questioned.

“Indeed, and that all can be explained later. But as of right now, anyone that shows up can't go home.” Facilier added. “Now, your welcome to stay-”

“Stay? Why would we ever stay under one roof again?” Frollo questioned with distaste.

“You could stay in the forest, I’m sure the wildlife would love some fresh meat.” Scar teased.

Frollo's face contorted in anger, He was about to retort but Gothel stepped in, and placed a hand on his shoulder. “What’s the catch if we do stay?”

“If you do stay, you'll each get your own room. But in exchange, you become the kid’s teachers.” Hades explained.

“What?!” they both shouted in unison.

“Nope, I already raised that wretched girl till she was 18, I’m not raising another.” Gothel prostate.

“Nore am I. I was stuck with that infernal creature for almost 21 years and now you ask me to teach this child. You really are the devil Hades!” Frollo shouted.

Grace covered her ears, overwhelmed as the room continued to erupt into chaos. “Too loud! Too loud!” she shouted.

Hades noticed and began to rub your back. “Silence all of you!” she shouted, his hair starting to turn orange. “Whether you two like it or not you're stuck here. Now you two have two options, you get out of here, or you stay and teach the kid. You have five seconds to pick. 5, 4, 3-”

“Fine, I will stay,” Gothel said. “But we aren't doing anything else, we teach the kid, and that’s it.” Frollo reluctantly nodded in agreement.

“That's all we ask.” Hades said. “Now how about we fill you all in on the plan,” he said, placing grace on the ground. “Pain, Panic, go take grace to the cinema and put on a film till were done.”

“Sure thing boss.” Pain said as he and Panic led Grace to the cinema. Grace turned her head as she was led away. She had so many questions about her new teachers. Yet the fear of what they would do to her rose inside. She had a bad feeling about them, hoping that a movie would distract her for the time being.

Chapter 12: Stepfamily problems

Summary:

stepfamily, who could that be?

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

After filling Frollo and Gothel in on the plan, the villains began making lunch. Everyone in the house was hungry as it was almost 1:30. When it was ready, Hades called Grace into the dining room. She rushed in, along with pain and panic, taking her seat in between Cruella and Hades. By now the table was rather long. Hades kept having to expand it with his magic every time someone new showed up.

Today’s lunch was ramen mixed with chicken. Grace eagerly dug into the bowl of noodles that was placed in front of her. “Hmmm,” she said as she continued to take more bites.

“Glad you’re enjoying it, kid,” Hades said, patting Grace on the head. Everyone continued to eat in silence. But around halfway through their meal, a cloud of red, pink, and green smoke appeared in the room. There were two young ladies, one wearing an elaborate pink dress, the other an elaborate green one. As well as a much older lady wearing an elegant red one. Anastasia, Drizella, and Lady Tremaine had arrived at the party. They seemed to be at a yelling match with each other.

“For the last time, you are not getting married to that baker boy!” Lady Tremaine yelled at Anastasia.

“But mother!” Anastasia complained, neither of which seemed to know they had changed locations.

Drizella however did seem to know, as she looked around in the new space. “Um, mother-”

Lady Tremaine however didn’t listen as she continued to scold Anastasia “Anastasia, I am your mother and I forbid you from seeing that boy.”

“Mother!” Drizella said a little louder, which seemed to get her mother’s attention.

“What Drizella?!” She shouted with a cross look, which seemed to get both ladies out of their argument and look at their surroundings. The villain snickered and laughed at this causing the stepfamily to look behind them.

“Wow Tremaine, I didn’t know you had enough courage to let your anger out on your daughters.” Gothel retorted as they all laughed once again.

“When your stepdaughter runs away to marry a prince, you have to take it out somehow. At least I was around to see mine grow up, unlike some people.” She said with a frown as she crossed her arms. She then glanced at the whole table. “Now, what is the meaning of all this?”

Grace had started to get slightly scared at this point. She had seen Cinderella numerous times, in fact, it was the only film her grandmother would watch with her. But she had only seen the ending a handful of times as her grandmother would usually shut it off before Cinderella got her happily ever after.

“Rember Grace, I am your mother now and you will always do as I say, unless you want to be locked up in your basement bedroom. You may perform for the upper class, but you shall never be like one of them.” was what her grandmother would say after turning the movie off.

Looking at Lady Tremaine, all Grace could see was her grandmother. In fear, she leaned against Cruella. Her face dug into her chest as her small arms wrapped around her waist.

Cruella looked down at her frightened form and began stroking the girl's hair. “It's ok Grace, she won’t hurt you.” but she had spoken too soon as the stepsisters quickly took interest.

“Who's the girl?” Anastasia questioned with a bit of disgust.

But Drizella looked rather pleased at the sight. “Ooo maybe she can be Cindrella’s replacement!”

“No!” Grace shouted, clutching Cruella tighter.

“You will be doing no such thing!” Hades stated, slamming his hands on the table as he stood from his chair. He then stormed over to the Tremain family and began shouting at them. “You three will not be treating her like a scullery maid like you did with Cinderella. She has been through enough from her own grandmother.”

“Oh please Hades, what could that girl have gone through that none of us have?” Lady Tremain scoffed.

Hades's face twitched as his voice got very low. “What did she go through? Oh, I’ll tell you what she went through. His arms turned to smoke and he brought the Temain family closer to him. He spoke in a hushed tone, making sure Grace didn't hear any of the details. “And if you three even think about using that girl, I swear when we get back, I'll feed you to Cerberus.” Hades then backed away. “Do I make myself clear?”

Tremain let out a harsh sigh as she glanced up at the god. “Very well hades, but this is only because we can’t go back.”

“Mother you can’t be serious,” Anastasia complained.

“Yes Mother, remember the last time we all were together,” Drizella added.

“Enough girls!” Lady Tremain turned to address her daughters. “You two are more than welcome to sleep out in the woods. But I would much rather stay here, even if it means bunking with these lowlifes.”

“Hey!” the rest of the villains shouted.

Both sisters let out a sigh of frustration as they pouted, crossing their arms. “Fine mother.” both girls said with annoyance.

“Great, now how about you ladies join us.” with a snap of his fingers the table extended adding three more chairs. “Will fill you in on the plan, as well as find you a role later. For now, there’s plenty of ramen to go around.” Begrudgingly the Tremain family sat down at the table with a hmph. Needless to say, the household was and would continue to get even crazier as the days went on.

Chapter 13: Chefs and Chemist

Summary:

chef's and chemist, who could that be?

Chapter Text

It wasn’t long before lunch wrapped up. Grace enjoyed the meal. Saying it was one of the best she ever had before skipping off to play with the sidekicks. Once she left, the villains began to chat.

“You really should get that kid on a schedule, Hades.” Frollo stated, “You can’t just have her run around all day.”

Hades leaned back in his chair “I know, but the kid’s been a maid her whole life. The least we could do is let her have some fun.”

“You can still let her have fun with a routine.” Gothel added, “How else do you think I put up with Rapunzel.”

“Or Cinderella,” Tremain added. “If you want to keep the girl in line you best start making sure she knows who’s boss.”

“Like give her chores!” Anastasia chimed in.

“Treat her like a servant,” Dizella added with a snicker.

Hades glared at the sister as he spoke in a menacing tone “I already told you, that girl is not a servant!” Hades then rubbed back his fiery blue hair, trying to keep his temper in check. “But you are right, the kid does need a routine.”

“Then it’s settled.” Maleficent spoke “We shall come up with a routine for Grace, it will also keep her busy while we plan for our “guest” arrival.” so the villains began to come up with Grace’s new schedule.

***
In another part of the manor Grace, Pain, Panic, Iago, and Diablo sat in the playroom Hades had conjured up, full of toys for Grace to play with. Grace had declared that she wanted to play restaurant with her new play kitchen.

After watching Hades and the others cook a few times, she wanted to be a chef once again. It was really the only chore she liked to do when her grandma was still around, even if she burnt most of the dishes. Hades ended up conjuring a play kitchen so she wouldn’t burn the house down after trying to make bacon again.

She had made a few play menus, that were just pieces of paper with scribbles, and set the table with play silverware. The sidekicks all sat around, fake menus in their hands as Grace set up her kitchen.

“Remind me why we’re in charge of her?” Iago squawked quietly.

“Because the others are talking about how to deal with the men that are coming over next week.” Pain whispered.

When Grace was satisfied with her kitchen. She picked up a pad of paper and a blue crayon before walking over to the group of villains. “Hello, welcome to Grace’s kitchen, what can I get you?”

“I’ll take t..t..the eggs and bacon.” Panic ordered.

“Pancakes for me.” Pain added.

“I’ll take some crackers.” Iago squawked.

“We don’t have crackers,” Grace said, looking up from her notepad of orders.

Iago frowned in frustration as he pretended to look at the menu “What about pizza.”

“Sure thing.” she nodded, writing down his order.

Diablo then let out a squawk, trying to convey his order. Iago translated for him “He’ll have the Pizza as well.”

Grace wrote everything down with a smile. She nodded at the order and turned back to the kitchen to cook it. It only took a few moments before she placed the fake food onto plates and served them around the table. The sidekicks thanked her and pretended to eat the meal before them.

“Mmm.” Panic said as he pretended to eat the bacon.

“The best pizza I’ve ever had.” Iago squawked as he and Diablo pecked at the plastic.

“Thank you!” Grace said with a smile. It was then that they heard a thud come from the hallway. Everyone turned their head to the door. “Ooo, new friends!” Grace said excitedly as she leaped for the door.

“Grace, wait,” Iago said as he took off after her. Opening the door, Grace saw two figures waiting outside, sitting on the ground. A Purple lady, and a muscular man. Grace reconciled them to be Yzma and Kronk from Emperor's New Groove.

“This is what happens when you pull the wrong lever!” Yzma shouted, turning her head to face Kronk.
“Sorry, Yzma. they just look so much alike.” He apologizes, getting up before offering her hand. She rolled her eyes as she took it. Once standing they both looked around. “Where are we?” Kronk questioned.

“You’re in my house,” Grace said from the doorway. They both turned to look at her, Raising a brow. “Hi, I’m Grace.” She waved.

“A child?” Yzma questioned with confusion and disgust.

It was then that Iago came over, landing on your shoulder. He looked at the new articles before you and greeted them with relief. “Hey Yzma, Kronk.”

“Iago?!” they both asked with confusion.

Yzma’s eyebrows furrowed as she looked at the parrot. “Iago, what is going on here?”

“You can blame the girl for that,” Iago said, pointing to Grace. “Made a wish on a star.”

Yzma rubbed her temples. “Well this is great.” she complained “I go from dealing with a bratty emperor to a bratty child.”

“Oh come on Yzma,” Kronk said, placing a hand on her shoulder. “Look at it this way, it’s like a mini vacation!”

“This is not a vacation, Kronk!” Yzma shouted at Kronk.

It was then that two more clouds of smoke filled the room. One of white, the other one black. They swirled around till two more figures appeared. A small little chef, along with a cyborg pirate and a pink blob.

“What is the meaning of this?!” the little chef shouted as he glanced around the hall, knife in hand.

The pirate turned to his pink blob “Looks like we lost the ship again morph.” the pink blob dropped his arms and frowned. By now the rest of the sidekicks had made their way over to the door to see what was going on.

“Hey, if it isn’t my two favorite chefs.” Kronk greeted. “Silver, Skinner, good to see you both.”

Both chefs turned to the group. “Kronk, what a surprise.” Silver greeted back “Don’t suppose ya know why we’re here?”

Kronk shrugged “Apparently it was Grace who brought us here. According to Iago.”

“I child summoned us?!” Skinner questioned as he looked at the girl who was about as tall as him. She smiled at him as he narrowed his gaze. “This is outrageous. I demand to go home!”

“No can do,” Iago interjected.

“What?!” they all questioned in outrage and confusion.

“You see…” Pain began

“The k..k..kids wish” Panic added

“Made it so we’re all stuck here.” a new voice finished. Everyone turned to look down the hall to see Hades making his way over. “Yzma, Kronk, Skinner, Silver, Morph, good to see you all.”

“Hades, what is the meaning of all this? Iago said we were brought here by this brat.” Yzma questioned, gesturing to Grace.

“First.” Hades came over and lifted Grace into his arms. “The kid has a name and it’s not Brat, it’s grace. Second, yes she did make a wish on a star, and now we are all showing up. Yes, I already tried magic and so have the others, no one can go back.”

“Others, you mean there more?” Skinner questioned with fury

Silver looked at Hades with uncertainty “Hades, if this turns out like that surprise vacation-”

“Trust me it won’t, we all have found roles to play in this household.” he then grinned “and I think you all will fit in just fine.”

Silver crossed his robotic arms “And just what did ye have in mind?”

“We could use a few cooks. our cooking has been ok but it’s nothing compared to what you guys can cook up.” he then looked at Yzma “And you can team up with Grim to make some transfiguration potions.”

“And if we refuse?” Skinner questioned in his French accent.

“Then you all can enjoy sleeping out in the wilderness.” He grinned once again “So what will it be?”

“This is outrageous!” Skinner shouted. “I never agreed to this. Nor did I ask for that rat to ruin my life so I have to be stuck with the likes of you!” he pointed his knife at Hades.

Silver shrugged, “I don’t see how bad it could be.”

“I think it would be a wonderful idea.” Kronk said as he came between the two chefs “us all cooking together once again. Just like at the reunion.”

“That’s what got us hating each other in the first place” Skinner shouted, looking up at Kronk.

“Well I for one, am not going back to living on the streets,” Yzma said as she looked at Hades. “So where are the others?”

“Come I’ll show you.” he gestured for them to follow him as he began walking down the hall with Grace still in his arms.

Grace looked up at Hades with a sad face. “But I want to play.”

“Sorry kid.” Hades apologized as he looked down at Grace. “We need to talk to you about something, then you can play as much as you want till supper.” with that, the villains Reluctantly followed Hades back to the living room.

Chapter Text

Grace clung to Hades as the group of villains made their way to the living room. Iago and Diablo had flowed off to find their masters, but everyone else arrived at a rather empty living room. Present in the room was Facilier who was sitting on the sofa chatting with Prince John about finances. Scare and Shere Khan were lying on the carpet, sunlight gazing at them through the windows. Cruella sat in one of the lounge chairs sketching an outfit.

Hades looked around the room, surprised that it was so empty. He thought he said for everyone to meet back here before he left the table. Go figure no one would listen to him. “Where’d everybody go?”

“Away,” Scar mumbled with his eyes shut.

“What was all the commotion upstairs?” Cruella asked, not bothering to look up from her notebook.

“We got ourselves some more assistance.” He gestured to the group behind him. The villains in the room all looked up at their fellow compatriots.

“Great, more roommates.” Shere Khan murmured as he and Scar shut their eyes once more.

“Hey, this ain't too bad. At least now we got people who can actually cook.” Hades said as he took grace into the room, sitting himself down on one of the empty chairs.

Prince John shrugged. “Anything could be better than that ramen you made.”

Hades raised a brow in his direction “Hey, what’s wrong with my cooking?” his flaming hair started to turn orange.

“Ya.” Pain and panic added, standing up for their boss.

“Everything hades.” Skinner mocked from the doorway. “If I still owned Gusteau’s, I would never let you into my kitchen.”

“Well, I liked it,” Grace said, looking up at Hades.

Hades smiled as he ruffled Grace’s hair. “At least someone agrees.”

“Whatever, now how about you point us in the direction of the kitchen? I would much rather spend my time cooking than spending it with the likes of you!” Skinner shouted pointing his finger at Hades.

Hades let out a frustrated humph and he explained where the kitchen was. “Take a left out of her, head straight past 3 hallways, then take a right, then a left. Can’t miss it”

“Sweet, I can’t wait to start baking some of my spinach puffs,” Kronk said with a smile, rubbing his hands together.

Morph even made a strange noise that Silver seemed to understand. “Couldn’t have said it better myself morph.” He started to head down the hall, gesturing for the other chefs to follow. “Come along mates, we got some work to do.”

Grace watched as the three chefs left. Kronk skipped down the hall, and Skinner grumpily followed, muttering words Grace couldn’t and shouldn’t hear. That just left Yzma, who crossed her arms and leaned august the doorway. After a few moments of silence, she spoke up.

“Well Hades, what is it you had in mind potion-wise?” she questioned, hoping to get her mind off of being stuck here with the people she hated most.

“Well Yzma, we could use your expertise on animal transformation,” Facilier said, typing away from his computer.

She looked over at the Shadowman intrigued. “Go on.”

Facilier was about to continue his sentence when Grimhilda entered the room. “Alright, who invited the three chefs into my kitchen? I thought we decided the kitchen was mine to use until four?!” she shouted entering the room.

“Grim calm yourself.” Hades tried to say but that only seemed to tick her off.

“Calm myself? Hades, you’re the one requesting the potions. I can’t make them without heat, and it doesn’t help that I can’t perfect the transfiguration position. I can barely keep Ursula in her human form for more than a few hours.” Grimhilda exclaimed as she took a seat on the sofa.

“Perhaps you aren’t letting to potion simmer long enough,” Yzma said as she looked over at Grimhilda.

Grimhilda looked over at Yzma. Face going from anger to disappointment. She crossed her arms, looking the chemist in the eyes. “Yzma.”

“Grim.” Yzma greeted back with distastes.

“Grate now that you both know each other.” Hades muttered aloud “Perhaps Yzma could help you with the transfiguration position.”

“What?!” Grim asked with surprise as she glanced over at Hades. She furrowed her brow in annoyance. “Hades, if you think I would ever work with her again then you’re highly mistaken.”

“Oh come on grim, we need this plan to go off without a hitch if we’re to get back home. We’re in this together, whether you both like it or not.” he glanced between the two before snapping his fingers. “There, I just conjured up a potions lab so you both can work.”

Yzma smiled while Grim scoffed in defeat. She roughly got off of the couch, giving Yzma a nasty look. “Very well. But I’m in charge of this part of the operation.”

YZma rolled her eyes as she pushed off the wall. “Great, first a childship emperor, now I’m working under a childish queen,” she muttered to herself through gritted teeth.

“What was that?” Grimhilda asked harshly as she crossed her arms.

“Nothing.” Yzma said as if nothing happened. “but perhaps you could tell me what this operation is exactly?”

Grimhilda slapped her face as she gave Hades an annoyed look before grabbing Yzma’s hand and forcefully pulling her out of the room. Grace watched the whole scene with confusion as she looked up at Hades. “What happened?”

“Nothing for you to be concerned about kid,” Hades said, ruffling her hair once more. “But what does concern you is your new schedule.”

“Schedule?” Grace questioned a bit uncomfortable. The word schedule only made her think of her grandmother and how she was forced to get things done by a certain time.

“Yep. you see, me and the others think it’s time to get you back on a routine. You’ll still have free time, but you’re also at the age where you should be starting school with Gothel and Frollo.”

“School?” Grace questioned again. She had heard of the word but didn’t really know what it meant.

“Schools are a place where you go to learn things. Only it will be here. You’ll learn to read, write, do math” Cruella said from her chair. Her face quickly lit up as if she was struck with a brilliant idea. “Ooo, perhaps I could arrange a brand new outfit for her first day.”

“Cruella, you’re already in the process of making her swimsuit for her lessons with Ursula. I’m sure she’s fine with the dozens of outfits you have already made.”

“It’s seven outfits so far, dahling,” Cruella corrected, shifting her eyes above the notebook. “But she deserves something spectacular to wear for her first day.” she winked at Grace who giggled.

Hades rolled his eyes as he looked down at Grace. “Like Cruella said Grace, school is a place where you’ll learn lots of cool stuff. Along with school, we put in meal times, a part of the day where Ursula will teach you how to swim, and playtime.”

“Don’t forget we need to figure out what we’re doing for her YouTube channel. Can’t have her dancing the way her grandmother wanted but we still need some form of income.” Facilier put out on the table.

“Ya, but we can figure that out later,” Hayes said, waving his hand as if to push that part of the plan off. “So what do you think kiddo?”

“I think-” Grace began but before she could finish a new smoke cloud appeared in the room. This one was black with a tint of yellow. It swirled around, revealing a new villain along with his pet hound. Bill Sykes from Oliver and Company, along with his dogs Roscoe and DeSoto.

Hades bowed his head and sighed at the new arrival. Not the next villain he wanted to arrive at, but it wasn’t the worst option. Lifting his head, he put on his fake smile. “Sykes, good to see you.”

Sykes looked around the room till his eyes landed on Hades. He took the cigar that was in his mouth out, he two had a false smile that made Grace cling to Hades. “Hades, to what do I own the pleasure?” he said rather calmly. Roscoe and DeSoto stood their ground, teeth showing in Hade’s direction.

Grace didn’t like the look of the dogs and turned her head, burying it in Hade’s shoulders. Hades wrapped his arms comfortingly around Grace. “Hey, you mind telling your mutts to back off? You’re scaring the kid.”

Sykes shook his head, tapping his cigar between his fingers letting dust drop on the floor. “I don’t know hades, this isn’t the first time you summoned me unannounced. So give me one good reason why I shouldn’t send my boys after you.” he had his left hand ready to snap, allowing his dogs to attack in Hade’s direction.

Hades gave him a cross look as he stood for the chair. “Listen Sykes. This wasn’t me this time. And if I had it my way, I wouldn’t have even shown up myself. But here we are, showing up one by one thanks to the kid. And it looks like you’re stuck here with the rest of us.”

“The kid.” Skyes let out a chuckle as he glanced between her and Hades. “As if I’m gonna believe that story.”

“Unfortunately, he’s telling the truth.” Cruella piped in. “Grace has summoned us here one by one by a wish she made. But it hasn’t been all bad.”

“Cruella is right, we all have made the best of this situation,” Facilier added.

“It’s turning out better than that miserable beach vacation.” Prince John added.

“A wish.” Skyes signaled his hounds to stand down. The positioned themes on either side of him, taking a seat on the rug. “You’re telling me this kid wished for a bunch of villains?” he glanced down at Grace, confusion hidden behind his stern expression.

“Not exactly.” Hades said as he placed grace on the ground. He then looked over at Pain and Panic who had been chatting near the doorway the whole time. “Pain, Panic, take grace upstairs for a moment.”

“Sure thing boss.” Pain said as he and Panic took Grace back to the playroom. While Hades began to explain Grace’s story and find some way to fit Skyes into their plan.

Chapter 15: Chapter 14: Monster in the Closet

Monster in the closet? who could that be?

Chapter Text

It was late in Grace’s Manor. Dinner had passed, thankfully without any more arrivals since Bill Sykes. Now it was time to put Grace to bed. Tonight Cruella with the help of the Evil Queen, managed to give Grace a bath along with getting her into her new blue nightgown Cruella had made.

“There you go Dahling,” Cruella said as she finished pulling the nightgown over Grace’s head. She looked down, admiring Cruella’s handy work.

“It’s pretty,” she said as she fiddled with the fabric between her fingers.

“You look fabulous in everything.” Cruella joked as she stood up.

“And you’ll look even more fabulous after some beauty sleep,” Grimhilda said as she scooped Grace up in her arms. She giggled as the queen walked her over to bed. Cruella pulled back the covers and Grimhilda laid her down on the matrice, pulling the blanket back over her.

“Goodnight dear,” she said, brushing a strand of hair out of Grace’s face.

“Sweet dreams darling,” Cruella added as she and Grimhilda headed for the door. Grace let out a yawn as she said goodnight before closing her eyes. The two women smiled at her before turning the light off and exiting the room, leaving her alone to rest. Or so they thought.

After about an hour or so since Grace drifted off to dreamland, around eleven o’clock at night, another villain arrived. Her closet door quietly opened and in walked a scally purple lizard-like monster, Randall Bogs from Monsters Inc. He didn’t appear in a cloud of smoke like the rest of the villains, rather, he was here on a scare assignment on behalf of Fear Co.

His mission was simple, sneak into Grace’s bedroom, scare her, and get out before anyone else noticed. Simple enough, or so he thought. With his camouflage powers, he blended himself into the rest of Grace’s surroundings, quietly shutting the door behind him as he began to creep around the room, careful not to wake her just yet. His scaly feet crawled across the floor till he was able to lean over her. Lifting his hands in the air, he came out of his camo mode and let out a terrifying roar.

This made Grace jump awake. She was not expecting to wake up face-to-face with a monster. She let out a petrified scream that rang out through the rest of the manor. She quickly sat up, clutching the blanket as she pushed herself up against the backboard of her bed.

Randall smiled as he quickly crawled back to the closet. “Piece of cake” he snickered as he opened the closet door, ready to return to the monster world. There was one problem, however, as when he opened the door, he found he could not leave as the door just revealed Grace’s growing wardrobe of outfits Cruella had been making her.

“What?” he questioned, slamming it shut and reopening it a few times. He began to panic slightly, realizing he was stuck in the human world again. It was then he heard the quickening sound of footsteps approaching her room. Randall blended back in with his surroundings, not wanting to risk another baseball bat beating.

Grace continued to scream, eyes never leaving the closet door that Randall, now hidden, stood in front of. Not long after, Hades, Jafar, scare, and Facilier entered. Jafacr and Facilier had their staffs at the read, Hades had a fireball prepared in his hand, and Scare looked like he was ready to naw his teeth into something, or someone. But when they entered, they saw nobody.

They looked at Grace who still had a petrified expression. Hades was the first to approach her, looking at her with worried eyes. “Grace, what happened?” his voice was full of concern, something he rarely ever showed to anyone.

Grace held up a shaky hand as she pointed at her closet door. “M..M..Monster.” her voice quivered, looking as if she were ready to cry.

The men all glanced at the closet door, seeing nothing. “Grace, are you sure you didn’t just see a shadow?” Facilier questioned as he and Jafar lowered their staffs. “I mean, though can be scary too but-” he was cut off by Scar who had been sniffing the air.

“No the kids right” he looked toward the closet door where the smell came from “Someone here.” Scar sniffed the air, staying low to the ground as he crawled to the closet door. He could smell Randall’s scent, letting out a low, yet dangerous growl as he approached the closet door.

“Easy kitty,” Randall said, realizing if he didn’t show himself now he may be torn to shreds. He came out of the camouflage mode, forcing the villains to raise their staffs once more. But upon further inspection, they lowered them once more. “Randall?” the villains all questioned in unison, surprised to see him.

Grace turned to Hades, burying her frightened little head into his chest. “See” her voice was muffled “monster.”

“Ya, ya, nice to see you all too,” he said sarcastically as he observed the room. His eyes then landed on Hades “What is this, another bizarre reunion?”

“Not- exactly,” Scar said slowly as he backed down.

Hades held Grace close to him, lifting her in his arms. “It’s ok Grace, he’s not gonna scare you.” he looked Randall dead in the eyes. “Right?”

Randall rolled his eyes “Listen, I was just doing a scare assignment ok. And now somehow I’m stuck here.” he getured to the closet door, which he opened to prove his point.

“Congratulations,” Facilier said with a sly voice “Guess you’re stuck here like the rest of us.”

“What?!” he questioned, slamming the door shut. “You mean? You all are..?” he began putting the pieces together in his mind. He knew it didn’t make sense for them to be in the human world, but how were they all even here, and why? “But how? Surly hades can send us back?”

“All of us who have magic have tried,” Jafar muttered as he leaned against the door frame. “Thanks to Grace’s wish.” he gestured to Grace “We’re all stuck here.”

Randall looked dumbfounded at the news. Hades noticed his expression and grinned “Hey it’s not so bad. Think of it this way, you get to live in this luxurious manor all in exchange for helping us with our little plan.”

“And just why should I help you?” he crossed all his arms “Last time I agreed to help with one of your schemes I found myself being strangled by Ursula’s tentacles.”

“Oh relax, it’s not gonna be like that this time.” he looked to Jafar and Facilier. “Jafy, Doctor, can you take him downstairs and fill him in on what we have so far? I’m gonna try to get this one back to bed.” he brushed a piece of Grace’s hair out of her face.

Jafar and Facilier let out a sigh as they turned for the door. “Come on scales.” Facilier getuyred for him to fallow them. Randall also let out a sigh, mumbling to himself as to why he had to be here.

Once they were gone, Hades looked down at Grace who clung tightly to his toga. “Alright kid, has gone. Now let’s get you to bed.” but just as he was about to put her back in bed, Grace shook her head. “No. What if he comes back?”

Hades let out a sigh as he sat on the edge of GRace’s bed. He places her in his lap, looking her in the eyes. “Look kid, I know that was a bit different of an arrival than the others but I promise he won’t scare you again. I’ll make sure he stays away from you, alright?” Grace still felt uncertain, however.

“Perhaps.” Scar stepped in “It would be best if she had someone with her so she’s not alone?”

Hades gined at the idea. “Not a bad idea scar.” he looked down at Grace “Would it help if Scar stayed with you tonight?” that seemed to do the trick as Grace slowly nodded her head.

Scar’s eyes lit up. When he suggested the idea, he didn’t mean himself. “Wait I didn’t-” Before he could protest further, Hades was already putting Grace back in bed. “It’s alright Grace, you’ll be ok. Scar will protect you if anything happens and the rest of us are just downstairs,” he reassured her as he pulled the blanket up and over her.

He then turned to leave the room, as he did Scare gave him a look muttering “You owe me.” He then pounced onto Grace’s bed, curing up next to her. Hades watched as Grace rolled closer to Scar, wrapping her small arm around him. Scar couldn’t help but smile at the comfort he was providing, though he would never admit it. Hade gave them a smile before heading to the door, closing it slightly leaving a small gap so light could enter the room, then made his way downstairs where the rest of his compatriots were gathered.

Notes:

hey guys, good to be back. sorry, this one is kind of short, but I hope you enjoyed it. I have been waiting to add Randall in for a while now. Because of how I wanted him to enter the story, I had to wait till a nighttime chapter. but I am happy with the way this one came out; it also builds into why the next group of villains is added. I'm so excited to write the next chapter, as I don't think I've ever played around with the next group of villains in any of my stories. I've wanted to add them in some way, and now I have a reason. I would love to hear your guesses as to who they are in the comments below. I would also love to hear your feedback or if you have any ideas. alright, I'll see you guys in next week's update, that will be Yen Sid's home. Goober Out!

Chapter Text

Grace woke up the next morning just as the sun crept into her room. As it filled her room, some of it hit her face. Her eyes squinted against the sun's rays, the heat waking her from her slumber. She sat up, letting out a yawn before rubbing her eyes. She opened them to find a scar next to her, lying peacefully.

“Morning scar,” Grace said, still a bit sleepy. But the lion did not respond, only turning his head away from her. Grace turned her head to the side, wondering why he didn't get up. Figuring he was still sleepy, she got up from her bed and headed downstairs to where the other villains might be.

As Grace exited her room, she heard voices coming from downstairs. She smiled, glad to know she wasn't the only one awake. Skipping down the stairs, she made her way to the living room where some of the other villains were, chatting with one another about how to make Grace feel safe in her bedroom after what Randall did.

“I have a feeling that girl is not gonna want to sleep in her room alone anymore, thanks to you!” Facilier yelled at what Grace assumed was Randall.

“Hey, how was I supposed to know this was gonna be your kid’s house?” Randall asked, annoyed, crossing his four arms. “Besides, if I had known I would get stuck here with the rest of you, I would never have come.”

“Well, there's nothing you can do about that now,” Jafar said in his usual tone. “For now we need to think of a way for Grace to feel safe in her room. One that does not involve us having sleepovers every night.”

“What about making a ‘monster repellent’” Gothel suggested. “It's something I did when Rapunzel was her age, claiming there were monsters under her bed.”

“I don’t think that's gonna work.” Hades added. By now Grace had made it to the living room, she stood in the doorway snooping in on their conversation. “If we start spraying a ‘monster repellent’ then Grace is gonna wonder why it’s not working on Randall.”

“Huh?” she asked aloud from the doorway, wondering what this “monster repellent” they were talking about was. Then all the villains turned their attention towards her, Hades being the first to greet her.

“Morning kiddo.” Hades greeted.

“Morning!” Grace greeted as she walked over to Hades. He lifted her in his godly arms, making her giggle. “What are you talking about?” she asked.

“Just grown-up stuff,” he said, looking down at her innocent face. “How did you sleep?”

“Good. Scar’s fur is soft,” you said with a cheery smile.

“Speaking of that furball, where is he?” Cruella asked from her spot on the sofa next to Gothel. Already hard at work on another one of Grace's outfits.

“Still sleeping,” she said, turning back to Hades. “Can me, Pain, and Panic go play before breakfast?”

“Sure kid.” He said, sitting her down “Just don't make too much of a mess, alright?”

“Ok,” Grace said, not listening as she looked at Pain and Panic, who were sitting across the room. “Come along guys, let's go play.” She waved them along as she skipped out of the room.

The two imps quickly followed as she made her way to the playroom. Grace knew breakfast would be served soon, but she wanted to have as much fun as possible. So she walked over to a corner of the room that held a box of mega blocks. “Let's build a castle!” she stated, not caring about Hade’s mess rule.

Pain and Panic quickly walked over to join her. “What kind of castle are we building?” Pain asked as he pulled a few blocks out of the box.

“A big one,” she stated. “One that will keep monsters like Randal out.”

Pain and Panic exchange a glance as Grace laid down the foundation. “I don’t think you need to worry about him.”

“Y..Y..Ya,” Panic added, “he won't s..s..scare you anymore.”

Grace looked over at them, tilting her head. “But last night-”

“Last night was an accident.” Pain said as the imps began to build one of the walls.

Grace clutched the block tighter in her hand. “But what if more comes?”

The imps shrugged. “Then will protect you.” Pain added.

Grace looked between them and the block in her hand. But before she could think of a response a swirl of pink, purple, and blue smoke appeared in the middle of the room on Grace’s play table. They watched as the smoke dissolved, leaving 3 toys behind. A space robot action figure, a stuffed prospector with a plastic pickaxe and plastic head, and a stuffed bear that smelled like strawberries. Zurg, the Prospector, and Lots-o-huggin-bear from the Toy Story franchise.

Grace's face immediately lit up when she saw them. “New Toys!” she squealed immediately rushing over to them.

The toys jumped at Grace's response. Before any of them could get there barring, she lifted Lotso into her arms. She buried her head into the stuffed bear, sniffing him. “You really do smell like strawberries.”

The trio all turned their heads to look at her. Lotso tried to wiggle free until he got a look at her, and all three realizing she was a child all went into stuffed mode. Pete and Zerg flopped onto the table while Loto went limp in Grace’s arms.

Grace looked up at the play table once more, seeing the other two. She dropped Lotso back onto the table before examining the other two. “Look, guys.” She called to Pain and Panic. “There’s Stinky Pete, Zurg, and Lotso!” She said, about to pick up the prospector and action figure.

However as she reached for the prospector, Pete lifted his plastic pickaxe and took a wing at her. “Keep your grubby hands away,” he said from his lying position. Grace took her hand back, slightly afraid. “And they're alive!” she squealed.

“Nice going Pete,” Zurg said as he tried to push himself back into a standing position. “Um, a little help.”

Grace giggled at Zurg as he rolled around. With her hand, she easily lifted him up and onto his wheels. It wasn't long before Pain and Panic were by her side looking at the toys. “Hey guys!” Pain greeted them. “Long time no see.”

All three looked at the two imps and rolled their eyes. “Oh great, and just what mess did Hades get us in time,” Lotso asked as he propped himself into a sitting position.

“I..I..It wasn’t Hades T..T..This time.” Panic added. “I..I..It was Grace.”

“Grace?” they question in unison, looking at the giant human girl before them.

Grace gave a wave as she smiled. “I wished for new friends. One by one more have shown up, and here you are.” her smile then grew even wider. “Will you protect me from the monsters in my closet?”

“Monsters?!” they asked again, surprised.

“Randal came through her closet and scared her last night.” Pain explained as if it were a casual conversation.

“Listen here, young lady!” Pete said as he got onto his small legs. “I am not some toy to be played with. I am a collector's item and do not wish to have a scratch on me.”

Grace tilted her head in confusion. “But I thought toys were supposed to be played with?”

“Not this toy.” Pete fell on his bottom and crossed his fingers. “I’m meant to stay in mint condition inside my box. But since my box is not here, I need to find another way of staying preserved.”

“Oh lighten up Pete,” Lotso said as he stood. “Will protect you, kid!”

“You will?” Grace asked, her face lighting up.

“Indeed.” Zurg declared holding up his blaster-like gun. “I’ll shoot whoever dars get in your way.” he then demonstrated by shooting a green ball and Pete.

“Hey!” he shouted, rubbing his side at where the ball hit him.

Grace giggled as the trio, was happy to have someone new to play with. With one swift motion, she grabbed Lotso and held him close in her arms. “And I promise to take care of you. All of you.”

“Thanks, kid,” Lotso said, returning her hug. Happy to be held in a child's arms once more.

“Alright Grace.” they heard Hades call from the hall as he entered the playroom. “Time for-” he stopped when he saw the toys on the table.

“Hades look!” Grace said excitedly, turning and holding up Lotso “I got new toys that talk! They're gonna protect me from the monsters that come through my closet.”

“Really now,” he said, studying the table as he ventured further into the room. “Long time no see guys. Bet you didn't plan on meeting another kid so soon.”

“Hades, what in tarnation is going on?” Pete questioned as he swung his pickaxe up at Hades “One minute we're all doing our own thing. Next, this kid says she made a wish and now we have to protect her from some monsters!”

Hades held up his hands in a defensive manner. “Hey, you're in the same boat just like the rest of us. Grace made a wish and was stuck here till- well I don’t know when. But what I do know is we are throwing a party for some unwanted guest and if you want to stay under this roof, then you're gonna pitch in by keeping the girl entertained.”

“Sounds easy enough,” Zurg said casually.

“Easy enough?” Pete asked, lowering his pickaxe. “I am a collector’s item, I did not sign up for this!”

Hades rolled his eyes. As he did so, his eyes caught a shelf in Grace's playroom and got an idea. “Well if you don't want to be played with-” He said, picking the prospector up. Pete yelled at him to be put down, and Hades did, just on a high shelf. “Then you can be a watch guard,” Hades smirked.

“Hey, this is not what I meant, get me down!” HE shouted from the shelf. Everyone in the room giggled at his outburst.

The next thing Grace knew, she was being lifted into Hade’s arms. “Come on, grace,” Hade said, adjusting his grip on her. “Let's get some food in you before you start school.”

“School?” Grace questioned, losing her grip on Lotso as they walked out of the playroom.

“Rember, we're starting your new schedule today.” he ruffled her hair. “Don't worry, you're gonna have fun.” Hades reassured her as they made their way to the dining room.

Notes:

Hey guys, I have finally written a chapter that involves a toy story for one of my books. I have been trying to figure out how to include these guys for ages, but putting toys into a world full of humans just never really worked out for me. That is, until now. sorry for all the Sid fans, but I just don't think adding him will be good for the plot. It took a few rewrites as I was trying to figure out if they would all hate being played with or not. all in all, I think I stuck well to their personalities. just wait until Pete complains about getting dusty and sitting on the shelf for days unless someone gets him down. now I need to think of who to add next, any ideas? As always, feel free to let me know your thoughts or if you have any ideas for future chapters in the comments. I love hearing from you all and responding to your comments; it gives me the energy to continue. See you next week for Yen Sids Home, goober out!"

Chapter Text

By the time Grace, Hades, and Lotso entered the dining room, breakfast was already being served. With Kronk, Skinner, and Silver in charge of the meals, food was starting to get a five-star rating. This morning there were eggs, pancakes, fruit, and bacon.

Grace sniffed the air and smiled “smells good!” she said, turning to Hades.

“Sure does, kiddo.” Hades said as he approached his usual spot at the head of the table. He sat Grace down on her usual spot on the bench, right next to Cruella.

“Good morning dah-” Cruella began to say before locking eyes with Lotso. “You!”

Lotso smirked at her “Hey Cruella!”

“How- why are you even here?!” Cruella questioned, gathering the attention of the rest of the villains in the room.

“Kid needs protection.” he spoke calmly, crossing his stuffed paws “Frankly, I like her.”

Cruella glanced up at Hades as if expecting him to do something, but he simply shrugged as he poured syrup over his stack of pancakes. “Hey, I don't control who shows up. Unfortunately, it wasn't just him either.”

“What do you mean?” Maleficent questioned as everyone looked to the doorway, half expecting someone else to arrive.

“We got Lotso.” he gestured to the stuffed bear in Grace’s lap “As well as Zurg and Pete, and before you ask.” he looked directly at Cruella “I put him on a top shelf, so don’t worry about him ripping your fur coat.”

Cruella let out a hmph as she looked back at Lotso. “You are not to go anywhere near my sewing room or wardrobe” she warned him, turning back to her pancakes. “Took me weeks to get your strawberry sent out of my night dress.”

Lotso frowned as he opened his arms towards Cruella “Aw, does somebody need a hug?” His voice was covered with fake sadness.

Cruella swiftly turned around “Watch it strawberry” she warned pointing her syrup-covered fork at him “Or the next place you’ll be headed in the washing machine.”

“NO!” Grace cried as she pulled him away.

“Relax grace,” Ursula said from across the table “Cruellas just mad that they mess with her wardrobe the last time we were all together.”

“Mess with my wardrobe?!” Cruella was practically screaming at this point. “Did you see how many outfits were ruined because of what they called a “Harmless” prank?”

“Would you all quiet down!” Iago squawked from the other end of the table at the top of his lungs “Some of us would like to enjoy our breakfast in peace.”

Cruella hmphed one more as she stabbed a piece of fruit on her plate. Grace merely giggled at the tension as she too, began to dig into the meal in front of her. Her face lit up with a smile as she put a fork full of pancakes into her mouth. “This is amazing!” she said with her mouthful.

“Grace, do chew with your mouth closed.” Lady Tremaine said from across the table and a few seats down. “It’s very improper for a lady to talk with food in her mouth.”

Grace frowned as she sank a little in her seat. That comment reminded her of when her grandmother would scold her for chewing with her mouth open in front of company. How her grandmother would publicly humiliate her in front of guests if she didn't act right.

Hades noticed and gave Tremaine a look. “Really Tremaine? The girls six.”

She looked over at Hades “That is no excuse for her not to learn proper etiquette.”

“She knows about etiquette,” he said, placing a hand on Grace's shoulder. “Her grandmother taught her how to be “Little Miss Perfect” but never let her be a child.” He looked at Grace and smiled at her “She’ll have plenty of time for manners when she’s older.”

“Speaking of the girl.” Scar said, changing the subject “This place could use some security, for her protection.” his tail switched side to side as if chewing off a fly “especially after what happened last night.”

All eyes turned to the middle of the table where Randal was sitting. He simply crossed his arms and rolled his eyes apologizing for the umpteenth time. “I said I was sorry.”

“If you are worried about babysitting Scar, then don’t.” Hades said turning back to his meal. “Kid’s got the toys now, so now she’ll be watched all throughout the house all day and night.”

“Yes but how can we be sure she’s safe?” The Evil Queen questioned from the other end. “There's only so much our magic can do. And we haven't been able to sense when anyone shows up. I mean, what if one of us shows up and they see Grace as a threat.”

“Or worse one of those men arrives unannounced,” Jafar spoke.

Shere Khan let out a yawn from his palace across from Scar. “I’ve been watching the window and have seen a few cars drive by, and I’m not talking about the usual drive-by.”

“Kind of suspicious since we live in the middle of nowhere.” Scar added

“What we need is security.” Frollo said from the head seat at the other end of the table. “Normally I would suggest patrolling, but there is not enough of us to cover every inch of this house, at least not those of us who are willing to do it.”

“I keep getting these ads for surveillance equipment, Cameras that monitor the house. Perhaps we should order one of those?” Facilier suggested.

Hades was about to open his mouth to respond when, as if on cue, a swirl of black smoke appeared revealing a tall man dressing in all black with a white and red mask. He was surrounded by little black bug-looking robots. The man froze for a moment before looking ready to send his creatures after them.

“Yoki?” Hades questioned as the man turned to look at them. The man stopped for a moment as his head glazed around the room. He didn’t say a word until he took off his mask, sending his microbots crashing to the ground “Hades?” his brows furrowed “What is the meaning of this? If you’re asking me to send my microbots to scare an inter hotel so I can be stuck with community service again, I swear I’ll-”

“Cool!” came a small voice next to him. Everyone turned in the room to see that Grace had gotten up from her seat and now held one of the small Microbots in her hand. “Don’t touch that!” Callaghan practically shouted which caused Grace to drop it. She took a cautious step back, almost looking like she was ready to cry. Ursula reached out one of her tentacles and pulled Grace close to her, lifting the little one into her lap, and quietly holding her.

“Don’t you yell at her.” Lotso shouted from the beach in which Grace had left him. “Kids don’t know any better.”

“Well a kid should know not to touch something that doesn't belong to them.” he pulled off the hood that wrapped around his hair “What is going on here anyways?”

But before that question could even be answered, a cloud of white smoke appeared next to him. Another man appeared, this one dressed like a superhero with orange hair that stood up and a giant S on his shirt with a cape. “Syndrome?” Callaghan questioned, looking at the supervillain that almost landed on his microbots.

Syndrome shook his head as he glanced up at the figure next to him. “Callaghan? Man, I haven’t seen you since the government first hired us. How are you doing?” he asked casually as if he had been pulled for anything.

“Considering I was in the middle of a massive project before I was teleported here” he gestured to the group of villains in front of him. “ya not so well.”

Syndrome turned his head at the table in front of him and his eyes too narrow. He folded his arms “Alright, who planned the reunion this time.”

But before that question could be answered, two more clouds of black smoke appeared in the room, one revealing a back bowler hat and the other dropping some strange-looking ship steering wheel from the sky that was indeed on the ground with a harsh clank. A moment went by before the wheel began to speak, its red eye darted around the center of the wheel “Where am I?” it questioned in a deep robot voice.”

“Great, now we got brian washer.” Anastasia began before Drizzela finished “And rouge robot.” Both sisters laughed in unison but none of the other villains found it funny.

“Who?” Grace questioned, having not seen their movies.

“Grace, meet Callaghan, Syndrome, Doris, and AUTO,” Ursula said, pointing a tentacle at each of them.

“Otherwise known as our new security team.” HAdes added, standing with a smug expression. “We got two robotic engineers, a surveillance robot, and a brainwashing hat, what better security team could we have?”

Doris did not like that and immediately flew over in front of Hades. Her claw-like hand gestured her angry response. Grace did not like how sharp her extra robotic appendages were and turned into Ursula, afraid it might hurt her.

“Oh calm yourself, Doris, the girl did manage to wake you up, didn’t she?” Hades questioned, crossing his arms. At that she stood down but not before mumbling some angry remark about how “if Hades wasn't a god she would brainwash him.”

“Alright, what is going on?” Callaghan questioned, his eyes narrowing on Hades.

“Well the simple answer to that is Grace,” Maleficent said “Make a wish on a star, and one by one we all have been showing.”

“Each of us has a role to play if you want to stay. So if you want a roof over your heads, then you need to help us with security detail.”

“Security for what?” Syndrome questioned, crossing his arms.

Hades was about to continue but remembered that Grace was still in the room. There was some information he gave out that he didn’t want Grace to hear. So he shared a silent gland with Frollo and Gothel to which they both nodded.

The two got up and made their way to the doorway. Gothel stopped next to Ursula's chair and held her hand out for Grace to take. “Come along Grace,” she said in the motherly tone she used to use with Rapunzel.

“But I want to stay.” Grace frowned, crossing her arms.

“Grace, we talked about this, you start school today, remember?” Hades reminded her gently.

Grace frowned, she did remember. But she wanted to know more about the newcomers, and know more about the villain’s plan since she hardly knew anything.

“Don’t worry angelfish, when you’re done with your lessons, will go to the pool and I’ll teach you how to swim,” Ursula stated. That made Grace smile “Really?”

Usual nodded “Yes but you have to do your lessons first.” she then placed her on the floor “Now be good for Gothel and Mr. Cranky-pants.”

That made everyone in the room giggle except for Frollo “I heard that.” he said before storming out of the room. Feeling more comfortable, Grace took Gothel’s hand and began walking to her new classroom.

Once Hades was sure she was out of earshot, he began speaking again. “Well, now that the kid’s out of earshot.” He sat down again, gesturing for the group of newcomers to join them at the table “Let’s get down to business.”

Notes:

Hey everyone, hope you enjoyed this week's chapter. I had so much fun writing it. gonna be honest, it was hard trying to figure out who should show up next, but I think these four, Callaghan from Big Hero Six, Syndrome from Incredibles, Doris from Meet The Robinsons, and AUTO from WAll-E, were great options. I wasn't sure if I was even gonna have Doris or Auto in the story, but after some thought, I found a way for them to have a role, meaning new characters to play with. I also know I missed last week's update, so sorry about that I was away, and things got crazy. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter. if you have any suggestions for characters you want to see and how they could fit into the story or any feedback you would like to give, please let me know in the comments. I love hearing from you all. see you guys next week. Goober Out!

Chapter Text

“You mean to say the kid has been through all that?” Syndrome questioned, just after Hades finished explaining Grace's life story.

“Yep,” Hades said from the head of the table.

“And now we have a party that needs planning.” Falicier sat in the seat beside him. “While I’m sure that there will be more joining us, we could use eyes and ears everywhere,” he gave way to a toothy grin. “That's where you four come in.”

“A Security system.” Callahagh rubbed his chin as he studied the room around him. “I’m sure it's doable,” he glanced at it. “Got a map of the home?”

“Pain! Panic!” Hades screamed at the top of his lungs. The two imps quickly rushed over to Hade's side. “Go see if the father got a map in his old study.”

“Yes, your lugubriousness.” Pain said as the two saluted and quickly rushed away.

“So what are we looking for? Lasers? Electricity? Giant balls of goo that could hold someone down?”

Jafar then joined the conversation, “We were thinking something more simplistic. After all, we don't want to injure them before the fun has really begun.”

“Yes, a simple security system should do it. A couple of cameras here, a few there, just enough so we have eyes all over the manor.” Cruella added.

“I could monitor them.” AUTO added, who was now placed face down in the middle of the now cleared table.

“You guys are no fun.” Syndrome said, acting like a child as he slouched in his chair, arms folded over his chest.

Maleficent shared a disapproving glance at him. “Are we sure we should be putting this security detail into the hands of a child?”

“Relax, Mal, I’ll make sure to keep him in line.” Callaghan said, placing his hands behind his head, “Hades, got an empty room where we could work? Turn it into a security room when we're finished?”

“Oh, we got plenty of space,” he waved his hand, like it wasn't an issue. “I’ll give you one of the spare offices on the ground floor, which should be big enough for what you need.”

Just then, Pain and Panic came rushing back. In Panic's hand was a rolled-up piece of paper that he handed over to his employer. “Here, sir.” Panic said, a bit out of breath.

Hades snatched it out of his hands without so much as a thank you. He never actually went into the old man's office except when he was getting to know the layout of the place. He probably should take it over before one of the others claims it, who knows how much personal stuff could be tucked away in the dozens of filing cabinets?

With plenty of space in front of him, he unrolled the blueprints of the house. It was massive, mostly because the house itself was massive. The ground floor consisted of the living room, pool room, lounge, game room, kitchen, dining room, ballroom, closets, some bedrooms, and 3 offices. The upstairs consisted of a couple of dozen bedrooms, 3 more offices, the sewing room, the old man's grand office, along with his surgical office, closets, and a couple of other miscellaneous rooms, along with a trap door that led to the attic. There was also the forgotten basement level full of old storage.

Callaghan looked over, a bit surprised. “That's gonna be a lot of ground to cover.”

Syndrome smiled as he leaned in closer to Callaghan, “Ya, but at least it won't be so bad if the two of us keep working on it.” he simply let out an annoyed sigh.

Daloris squealed something along the lines of “Why not just brainwash everyone.” but ,o one answered her.

“Will take that one,” Callaghan spoke, pointing to the largest empty office on the ground floor. “Should give us enough inventing room along with somewhere to set up AUTO..” he then looked back up at Hades, “though I am kind of surprised the old hag didn't have any security in the first place.”

Hades shrugged. “Not sure, not my problem to find out. What's Important is that we're getting it now,” he then stood. “All right, everyone, if that's everything-”

“Actually Hades.,” Sliver interjected. “If we could have a word with you” he ge,stured to himself, Skinner, and Kronk who we,re all seated next to each other “In the kitchen?”

Hades rolled his eyes and sighed. Guess that's what he gets for arriving first, getting put in charge. “Alright, everyone else get to, work on your parts of the plan.” With that everyo,ne took their leave as Hades followed the three chefs into the kitchen. The trio stops in the center of the kitchen, turning to face Hades with arms actheir ross.

Hades raised a brow to ask what this was all about, but before he could get a word in, the chefs were already responding. “We are low on food,” Skinner said plainly.

Hades' eyes widened. “What do you mean we're low on food? I just got here Tuesday, and the fridge was full!”

Silver laughed, “You try feeling a bunch of hungry villains.”

“Alright, how low are we talking? We're gonna starve by dinner?”

Silver shook his head. “Unless someone heads to the store today.”

“I could go to the store.” Kronk offered.

“Please.” Skinner's responder turned to the buffoon next to him. “You couldn't even tell Basil from Mint, what makes you think I would trust you with shopping?”

Kronk put his hands up in defense but didn't argue.

“Here,” Silver said, pulling a list from his back pocket, “this should last us a couple of weeks.”

Hades let out a frustrated sigh as he snatched the list and read it over. There were over 100 items on the relatively long shopping list. “And just who do you think is gonna get all this stuff?”

“Not us,” Skinner said flatly as he turned to prepare lunch.

“We have to prepare for the next meal, no time to go shopping in between unless you guys want to go without food for ten hours.” Silver added.

“But I-” Heades felt his flames start to turn red. There was no way he or anyone else could go shopping right now. Everyone was busy with their own parts of the plan. Well, everyone but the Tremaine’s but he didn't trust any of them not to make a scene out and public. Just before his body temperature went up, another puff of smoke, this time a mixture of white and brown, appeared. Through it appeared an older-looking man. A was a bit rounder at the waist, complete with grey pants, a brown vest, white undershirt, black bowtie and bowler hat, and a brown jacket to tie it all together. Edgar from The Aristocats had arrived.

The whole room stared at the man for a moment, Hades going from red back to its normal blue. “Hey, problem solved!” He said with a smile as he walked over to Edgar, who was baffled and confused by all this. “Edger, perfect timing!” he greeted before the man could say a single word. “Say, you're still in the butler business.”

“I, Um,” his eyes darted around the unfamiliar place. “What is going on?”

“Long story, I’ll explain later, but for now, we could really use an errand boy.” he handed Eger the shopping list. “See, we need these items as soon as possible.”

Edger looked baffled as he was handed a shopping list without so much as any compensation. He crossed his arms and gave Hades a look. “Ya right, like I would do shopping for you again.” he turned his head up. “Last time you had me go shopping, I found myself in Jail because you gave me counterfeit doubloon.s"

“For the last time, I wasn't in charge of the funds on that trip. Take it up with Hook, he handed out the gold coins.” He let out a frustrated sigh and gave his best smile. “But that is now in the past. What we need now is someone capable of not drawing attention to themselves when they leave in this manner.”

“Manner?” That got Edgar's attention. If this was the manner, then there was sure to be money somewhere.

“Like I said, I’ll explain later.” Hades wrapped an arm around him. “In exchange for being our errand boy, you get to live here with us. Roof over your head, 3 meals a day, all the villainous entertainment you could want.”

Edger thought on the idea for a moment before taking the list. “Alright, and just how do you want me to purchase these items?”

“With this,” he snapped his fingers, and Grace’s grandmother's plastic credit card was in his hands. “They call it a credit card.”

“This plastic thing, it's money?” he didn't sound impressed or persuaded.

“Ya, I know.” Hades said with a shrug as he headed for the door. “Strange how humans have evolved, anyway, I've got better things to do, so if no one else needs me.”

“Wait.” Edger stopped him. Hades slowly turned to face him. “Just where is the store, and how am I supposed to get there?”

Just then, a loud sound of heavy machinery dropping from the sky came from the front of the house. This made everyone jump and raise a brow.

“What was that?” Kronk questioned.

“I have no idea.” Hades mumbled as he exited the kitchen with Edger in tow and towards the entrance of the manor. Hades opened the front door and looked outside to see a green racing car waiting outside. Chick Hicks from Cars. “what the hell is going on here?!” the car shouted.

“Chick, welcome!” Hades greeted. Though he never really cared for the car, making him stay in the parking garage during the private island vacation, he did have a use for him now. At least until the villains could get some more motorized vehicles.

“Hades? Don’t tell me you asked him here to drive you around,” the racing car grumbled. “I’m made for speed, not a taxi service.”

Hades waves his hand. “Not my summons this time, but all that can be explained later. Say you wouldn't mind giving Edger here.” He gave the man a pat on the back, “A ride to the store for us, needs to pick up some groceries.”

Chick lowered his brows. “What did I just say?”

“I know, I know, but if you do this, I'll give ya all the gas you could ever want.” He said with his best-pleasing face.

Chick rolled his eyes and grumbled out a “fine.”

“Fantastic, now the closest store I think is just up the road, I’m sure you’ll find it if you drive around enough.” he then turned back towards the manor “See ya fellas in a couple of hours!” and before either of them could back out of the idea, he shut the door behind them, locking them outside.

Notes:

Bet you weren't expecting that! I tried to think of how I could incorporate more characters into this story, especially ones I don't use often. Chick, I think, had only been mentioned once in any of my stories, and that's in my Sarah's Adventures book 3: Battle for the Kingdoms. Let's just hope he doesn't get pulled over, cause explaining a talking, auto-driving car to the cops would be crazy. And poor Edger getting stuck as the butler again, man, this guy can't catch a break. I was gonna write another chapter, but honestly, I'm stumped on who to add next. I want to make sure each character has a reason for showing up, so here's what I need from you guys. Give me ideas, who do you want to see, and why they could show up in the story. I would not mind some creative help from my readers. You guys are why I write, so maybe someone's got an idea out there. if not, then feel free to let me know what you think of the chapter. Love you all, I will see you guys next week. Goobercilia out!

Chapter 20: Chapter 18: Younger Sisters and Shiny Crabs

Summary:

Ursula is teaching Grace to swim when some other underwater villain shows up.

Chapter Text

After Grace finished her lessons, she headed down to the pool room for swimming lessons with Ursula. Before hopping in, she changed into her new white with pink polka dots swimsuit, with goggles over her eyes to keep the pool water out. You came skipping into the pool room, practically ready to jump in, but one of Ursula's tentacles wrapped around you before you could even jump.

“Grace, you can't be running or jumping near the pool. It's wet, and you could get hurt.” Ursula gently scolded, pulling her back to where she stood at the side of the pool.

“Sorry, I’m just excited!” Grace said, turning around to face the giant sea witch. “I finally got to swim!”

“Yes, angelfish.” Ursula let go of her and made her way towards the steps. With the help of her tentacles, she casually plopped herself into the pool water, floating out just a bit so Grace could walk into. “Alright, little guppy,” She held her arms out, “let's get you into the water.”

Grace looked down at the water. She gripped the rain and dipped her feet in. She wiggled her toes before looking up at Ursula. “It’s warm.”

“Sure is, make sure it was heated before our lesson,” she held two tentacles out towards her. “Now come in a little further, and will begin with some floating before moving on to the doggy paddle.”

Grace giggled as the name as she stepped into the shallow end of the pool. The water hit just around her stomach by the time she got to Ursula. Using her tentacles, Ursula wrapped them around Grace and moved her so she was lying on her back. Grace giggled once again at the sudden movement. “I’m floating!” she announced, her voice echoing off the walls.

“This is a back float.” Ursula explained, “This is good for when you get tired while swimming.” Once certain, she removed her tentacles, watching Grace carefully so she didn't sink. But she quickly got the hang of it, making sure her lungs stayed full of air.

“Very good angle fish, now how about we try swimming?” Grace felt Ursula's tentacles float below her. “Try kicking the water.”

Grace used her legs and gave the water a good kick. She laughed as water droplets raced into the air before plopping back into the pool. She continued and felt herself moving backwards. “Very good!” URusula cheered as Grace began to move across the pool.

“Now let's try adding some hand movements,” she guided Grace back onto her feet. “When using your hands, there are several ways you can move. You can move like a windmill,” she gestured, moving her arms in two giant circles. “You can move like a frog,” she moved her arms all the way out in front of her, and pulled them back. “Or the classic doggy paddle. Perfect for when you're starting out,” she demonstrated by doing little strokes in the water.

Grace giggles at the movement. “Why is it called the doggy paddle?" she questioned the funny name.

“Because it's how dogs swim. Though maybe they should call it the scar paddle, cause he would probably swim the same way.” Grace giggled at the picture in her brain of a scar trying to swim. “Now, how about we try swimming to the wall?” Ursula pointed to the opposite end. “I want you to try the doggie battle.”

Nodding, Grace took to the water like a pro. She dove into the water and used her arms to cross it. She liked the sensation of the water scooping under her palms as she swam towards the other end. Once there, she grabbed onto the wall and stood. “I did it!”

“You sure did.” Ursula praised. “Now, why don't we try some larger strokes?”

Grace nodded once again and turned towards the other side of the pool. This time she used the frog method, kicking her legs behind her as she swam to the other side. She liked how this method didn't make the water touch her face, as keeping her mouth closed was a challenge, but she made it to the other side with barely any issues.

“Amazing job, you're swimming better than my sister ever did,” Ursula commented.

Grace, hounding onto the wall, looked at Ursula with curiosity. “You have a sister?”

Usual rolled her eyes. Why did she even open her mouth? “I do, a younger sister. Though that girl was a pain in my rear end.”

“Where is she?” Grace asked, looking around the pool, “Why didn't she arrive with you?”

“She's probably back in the Atlantic in her ice cave, or she somehow stumbled into the next reef over and fell into Mr 'I’m so shiny's cave.” Ursula crossed her arms. “And let's see how she never shows up, she will cause more problems than good.”

Though the sea witch may have just spoken too soon, as the water at the far end of the pool began to swirl. The sound of swishing caught both of their attentions, Ursula wrapping a protective tentacle around Grace. It wasn't long before two more villains arrived, one Ursula was not happy to see.

There, at the other end of the pool, was a glamorous crab decked out in all things shiny, filling half of the pool. The other was a slimmer, greener version of Ursula. “Morgana,” Ursula muttered under her breath.

“New People!” Grace shouted, gathering the two villains' attention. They both turned their heads to see Urusla and Grace looking right at them.

“Ursula?” Morgana spoke, seeing her older sister. “Why, dear sister,” she gave her a smirk, “if you just wanted to see me, you could have just sent one of your else over, INSTEAD OF SUMMING ME LIKE YOU DID WHEN WE WERE GUPPYS!”

“Oh, Morganag, if I ever wanted to see you again, I would have done more to summon you to a pool room!” Ursula shouted back.

Crace watched as the two continued to throw insults at each other. But her eyes wandered to the shiny crab over in the deep end. Curiosity took over, and with her new swimming skills, she snuck past Ursula and made her way towards the other end. She walked until she could no longer, then frog swam before floating on her back. “You're shiny!” Grace announced.

The two sisters stopped arguing for a moment. Ursula looked up, lightly mortified to see that Grace had gotten that far with only one day of lessons. She quickly dove forward, but Tamatoa was faster, raising Grace up with his claw.

“Well, aren't you just the cutest thing?” Tamatoa commented as he got a closer look at Grace, who was fascinated with his shell.

“Where did you get all your gold?” Grace asked, eyes mesmerized by his shiny shell.

“Treasures fallen in the sea, my dear,” he announced.

“Tamatoa, you put her down in this instance!” Ursula shouted, practically charging from him.

“Relax, fish face.” He placed Grace back in the water. “I don’t eat humans anymore, not unless you're Hades.”

“Why hades?” Grace questioned as Ursula swooped her up in her arms.

“Because that fire head used half of my treasure to pay for some luxury resort. That I didn't even get invited to, scammed me with some villainous donation.”

“And then you showed up like you were the life of the party,” Morgana said, hand on her hips. “And how did that vacation end again, with you wrecking the whole place, trying to make a “wrongful purchase claim”.

Tamatoa shoved a claw in her face. “No one messes with Tamatoa, no one!”

Just then, the pool door opened, and Hades walked in. "Tamatoa, Morgana, good to see you both,” he greeted as he made his way to the pool's edge.

“Hades” Morganag greeted with sarcasm, looking the other way.

Tamatoa went to grab him, but his claw went right through his smoky skin. “Gods,” he muttered under his breath.

“What can I say, it comes with its perks,” he said with an exaggerated smile.

“How did you know they were here?” Usulua inquired, knowing Hades was a god, but not the all-knowing type.

“Auto alerted me, they started work on putting up cameras,” he pointed to the corner above the door to where a small camera was. “Soon we will have this whole house under surveillance.”

“Auto?” Morgana questioned, looking between him and Ursula. “How many people are in this place? More importantly, why are we here?”

“To make a long story short,” Hades answered before anyone else could. “This is grace.” He gestured to the small child in the pool. “She made a wish on a star, and one by one, we all have been showing up. And if you want to stay, you've got to pitch in.”

“Oh really?” Tamatoa crossed his arms. “And just what do you want us to do?”

“Well, l for one thing, you got enough gold to get us through a number of years.” He gestured to Tamatoa, who had a mortified look as a response. “And you, Morgana, can assist with the swim lessons.”

“Excuse me?!” the trio responded in unison.

“I’m sorry, but if we're all gonna live together, then we're gonna need to learn to put our past aside and work with each other.” He then looked up at Tamatoa, “and you, I know you like your shiny stuff, and you can have some. But until the kids' carrier takes off, we may need some of it.”

“Kid's career?" Tamatoa questioned, but before he could get an answer, Grace spoke up.

“Ursula, I’m tired.” Ursula looked down at the tired-looking child in her arms.

Ursula listed Grace as a little girl so her head could rest on her shoulder. “Oh, you poor dear, swimming really must have taken a toll on you.”

“Give her to me.” Hades knelt beside the edge of the pool, arms out. “Mad wants to check her out anyway. Guess now's as good of a time as any, once she's in some fresh clothes that is.” Ursula swam over and handed Grace into Hades' arms. “Perhaps you can fill them in on the full stories."

“I’ll do my best,” URsual said with a sigh. With all said and done, Hades turned towards the door with Grace in his arms and walked out.

Chapter Text

Once changed into something dry and comfortable. Hades escorted Grace to her dad's former office, where the Mad Doctor was waiting. Her dad's office has been cleaned to the brim, free of dust and cobwebs that were collected over the last couple of years. And now it was like it was never locked off at all.

Inside Mad was waiting for them, lab coat pressed, standing by a counter with a folder in his hand. He turned as soon as he heard the door open. “Ah, there's my new favorite patient.”

Grace gave a chuckle. “But I'm your only patient.”

“For now,” he walked over to her and booped her on the nose. “You’ll be surprised what the others can do if you give them too much freedom.”

He then looked up at Hades, “Why don’t you sit her on the table so we can get started?”

Hades gave him a nod and walked over, sitting Grace down on the exam table in the middle of the room. She looked around in curiosity at the familiar atmosphere. It felt just the same as it did two years ago, when she stepped inside for the last time just before her father and mother left.

“Alright, grace,” Mad said, pulling over a stool and sitting down in front of her, eye level. “Why don’t we get started with today's agenda?” he grabbed a clipboard from a cart that sat next to the exam table. Clicking his bed, he began to read off a list of questions. “First, can you tell me your full name and date of birth?”

“I’m Grace Feather, my birthday is October 16th,” she answered with a smile.

“October you say?” mad said with a smile “you must like spooky things then, yes?”

“Halloween is fun!” She said with a smile, “As long as no one scars me.”

“Well'll be sure not to scare you while we're here,” he looked down at his clipboard, scribbling a note to keep an eye on Randal. “And how are you feeling today?”

“Tired,” she said, though her face showed she was wide awake.

“She got tired after her swimming lessons,” Hades said, placing a comforting hand on Grace's shoulder. “But from the looks of it, she is getting better at staying above water.”

“Well, that's good,” he flipped to the next page in his clipboard. “In your father's charts, it said that you had leukemia. Is that correct?”

Grace froze for a moment, her hand protectively grabbing her shirt right above her port scar. She gave him a shy nod of the head.

“She is not a big fan of talking about her past.” Hades spoke for her.

“That's alright,” he flips through the records he had before flipping back to the first page, setting it down on the cart beside the bed. “Alright, Grace, what I would like to do today is a simple examination. Make sure your body's in working order. Like your father did.”

She looked up at him with worry. “Are you gonna poke me with needles?”

Mad shook his head with his eyes closed. “No, today. I want to keep things as light as possible. What doctor would I be if I started with the scary stuff?”

“Burn to a crisp, that's for sure.” Hades muttered aloud, which made Grace giggle a little.

MAd reached for the cart and pulled it closer to him. He first picked up a stethoscope. “To start, I'm gonna listen to your heart,” he put the ends in his ear before warming up the cold metal disc. “Sit up nice and tall, just like that. Now this may feel cold, but it won't hurt.” he stood and moved closer to her. He placed a reassuring hand on her opposite shoulder and, with the other, pressed the metal disc to her back. “Take a big breath in, good, now let it out, again.”

Grace followed his instructions to a T, breathing in and out. She flinched a few times as he moved around, but Mad was just like her father. Gentle and informative.

After he listened to her heart, he pulled down on her shirt just a little to get a glance at her scar. “Wonderful heartbeat. And the scar is healing rather nicely.” His gloved finger traced over the indent in her skin, making her giggle and flinch away at how ticklish it felt. “Very well, medical craftsmanship, I don't see it becoming an issue down the road. Especially with how small it is.” He smiled at Grace as he put the stethoscope aside. “Your father must have been some doctor.”

“He was the best,” she exclaimed before adding, “but now you're my doctor, making you second best.”

Mad took this as an opportunity to brag in Hades' face. "At least someone agrees,” he said, glancing at the god while picking up the thermometer.

“She said you're the best doctor,” he patted Grace's shoulder. “Not the best villain.”

“Whatever,” he then looked back at Grace. “Do you know what this is?” Grace nodded and opened her mouth. “You kid, are a natural,” he slid it under her tongue and gave her a pat on the head. “If only all my patients were like you,” he sighed as he waited for the beep. It eventually came, and he took it out, reading it aloud. “98.6, perfect temperature.”

He placed it aside and grabbed a blood pressure cuff and wrapped it around her arms. “Just like a hug,” he gave it a squeeze, reading the numbers that showed on a monitor next to the bed. “Heart rate looks good.” He took it off and set it aside.

He then grabbed the otoscope and a tongue depressor. “Go ahead and give me your loudest, Ahhh.” Grace opened her mouth and said, “AHH.” Mad placed the tongue depressor on her tongue, using the otoscope to see inside her mouth. Her throat was a healthy shade of pink, nothing out of the ordinary. “For someone with your medical history, you don’t seem to get sick all that often.”

“Grandma kept me in shape,” Grace said, repeating the words her grandmother told her to say. “We danced for hours, and she gave me shakes to drink to keep my weight perfect. She also kept me inside, saying the outside is where all the germs are.”

“She did, did she?” Mad said, peering over her right side to look in her right ear. He glanced over at Hades and whispered, "Surprised she didn't catch anything from those parties her grandmother made her dance for.”

Hades shrugged, “Or maybe she has and won't tell us.” he watched as Mad inserted the otoscope into Grace's ear. “Probably didn't even know she was sick. Knowing the grandmother, she probably never let her rest.”

“Still, I'm not sure how I feel about her being so skinny.” He mumbled, stepping back to look in her left ear. He stole a glance once again at her practically skin-and-bones body. Just by looking mad could tell she was underweight. Not by much, but just enough to tell there was a difference. “Ears look clear,” he backed away to the front of her face.

He discarded the cap and looked at her eyes. “Just look at my nose.” He pointed with his finger. Grace looked at his eyes and made a look at each eye. “Eyes look normal, pupils are reacting as they should.” He set it aside. “Are you seeing things ok? Nothing seems fuzzy or out of the ordinary? Earning everything loud and clear?”

“Nope,” Grace said with a smile. “I see and hear everything. Even the sound of Hades' blue hair crackling.”

“That's our girl,” he ruffled Grace's hair and made her smile.

“Well,” he said, brushing his hands off on his coat as if they were dirty. “For a girl with your kind of medical history, you seem to be in perfect order. I think we can end on a high note by checking your weight and seeing how much you have grown.” He pointed to the scale across the room. “Why don’t you hop on the scale, and we can see how much Hades has been feeding you?”

“Ok!” Grace said with excitement as she slid off the table. Mad watched as she walked across the floor, noticing how her sock feet touched the ground. He stoked his beard for a moment, studying her walk.

“Something wrong, doc?” Hades said, coming around to his side.

“I think the kids are flat-footed.” MAd responded.

“Flat what?”

“Flat-footed.” Mad reiterated. “Means her arches aren't formed properly. You can tell by the way she walks how her feet are going down all at once, not head to toe.”

“Cause for concern?” Hades said, turning his head to face Mads.

“Not really, she's still young, so there's time to correct the walking and give her an arch. Some kids just take longer. Will just need to give her some exercise and perhaps some custom shoes,” he said, walking over to Grace. “But I’m not too concerned at the moment,” he pressed a button and nodded for her to step up. Grace stood tall and waited for a beep.

MAd looked down at the numbers. “Are you eating everything served?” Mad questioned with a raised brow.

“Yep.”

“She almost always asks for seconds.” Hades reiterated.

“I see.” He looked down at Grace. “Do you ever feel sick after meals? And to be honest.”

Grace looked a little hesitant as she answered the question. “Sometimes.”

“Too many new foods too fast,” he said, writing something down on his clipboard. “We shouldn't be introducing her to so much. What did you say the grandmother served her again?” He raised a brow in Hades' direction.

“Shakes and scraps,” he responded.

“No wonder you don't feel so well after meal times,” he scribbled down some more notes. “I’ll talk to the kitchen. Ease you into heavier meals, start you off with some lighter, healthier alternatives.”

“Do I still get snacks?” Grace questioned as she stepped off the scale.

“You may, if you eat everything served and only one between lunch and dinner and one dessert after dinner,” he then turned to the measuring chart that was up against the wall. The last time it was used was when Grace was four; she had just reached 34 inches. That was two years ago, so Mad hoped she had done some growing since then. Grace pressed her back against the wall and, with a pencil in hand, he marked where she now stood. 41 inches, a healthy height. “Look at you, growing like a bean stalk.”

“I grew?” Grace questioned, turning around.

“Yep,” Mad stated, jotting it down on his chart. “A whole 7 inches.”

“That's our girl.” Hades picked her up from behind, and Grace let out a small chuckle as he threw her gently into the air before catching her. Grace wrapped her arms around Haded, resting her head on his shoulder.

“Alright, the kids are pretty healthy.” MAd interrupted, going over his notes. “Though it would be good to do some routine follow-ups, make sure she stays in remission, and we work on those flat feet. I want to get her started on some exercises to get her walking normally, as well as make some changes to her diet.”

“What, you want the kid in here every week then?” Hades questioned, his flames turning a bit towards the color red rather than blue.

Mad shook his head. “More like once a month, though I would like her to exercise at least once a week. Perhaps walk outside or around the manor for 30 mins.”

“And just who is gonna make sure she does in a house full of villains?” Hades questioned, knowing no one was gonna volunteer for that, as they all already had their jobs.

Thankfully, his question was answered by four new clouds of smoke. One red, another green, one yellow, and lastly brown. Like many of the villains, these guys fell and landed on their bottoms, which made Grace giggle. All four were men, one in a simple red shirt, the other in yellow, one looked like he had just gotten out of the military, and one looked like a cowboy. Four of the main hunters in Disney. Gaston from Beauty and the Beast, Clayton from Tarzan, Perival McCleach from The Rescuers Down Under, and Rourke from Atlantis.

“Well, guess that answers my question,” Hades said, his flames returning to their normal blue color.

“Where, what, who?” Gaston questioned, looked around, dumbfounded.

“Hades, what have you summoned us for this time?” Rourke questioned, standing and dusting off invisible dust from his uniform.

“Honestly, how many times have I asked not to be bothered on my hunting trips?” Clayton complained. “I was just about to...” Clayton froze mid-sentence, noticing Grace in Hades' arms.

Mcleach raised a brow in Hades' direction as he stood from the floor. “Who's the kid?”

“This is grace,” he adjusted his hold so she would be resting on his hip. “This is her home, and slowly, one by one, we all have been showing up. And before you all say anything, this is not my doing, this is her doing.”

“Well, at least we're not all trapped on a beach again,” Rourke said. “I could not stand that sand getting into my boots.”

“Or those monkeys that kept stealing my bananas.” Clayton agreed.

“Of that, the only interesting thing to hunt was fish,” McLeach added, crossing his hands.

"At least there were plenty of mirrors to admire my amazing complexion,” GAston said, flexing his muscles. But the whole room responded with glares in his direction, wishing he had stayed home.

“Well, it's a good thing you're all here,” MAd responded, placing the clipboard down on the counter before leaning against it. “Little Grace here could use some coaches to help her exercise.”

“And just why would we do that?” Clayton asked.

“Because if you want a roof over your head, then you have to pitch in. Trust me, food and board is the best offer you're gonna get as I have no idea how long it will be here.”

Rourke raised a brow in his direction. “And just how long have you been here?”

Hades' glance fell on the wall where a calendar sat. MAd had crossed out the days since he arrived. Hades had gotten there two days before him. “Four days. Five counts today.”

The group of hunters looks at him with shock and confusion. If Hades were stuck here, then who knows how long the rest of them would be as well.

“I’m gonna take your silence as an agreement.” Hades turned towards the door. “Mad has the kids' care plan all set up. Hill filled you in on the plan we have coming up and why we're all here.” With that, he left the group of hunters in the dust as he made his way downstairs for supper.
