Chapter Text

1A filed off the bus, following Aizawa up a set of steps leading them towards a large open area just inside the doors of a large building. The large platform was up high enough that they are able to several different parts of the building simulating different environments that the to-be heroes may find themselves in.

“There’s the flood zone, the landslide zone, the conflagration zone, and so many others! Every kind of disaster or accident can be recreated here! I built it all myself, and I call it the Unforeseen Simulation Joint!”

“It’s the Space Hero: Thirteen!” Izuku says excitedly.

“I love Thirteen,” Uraraka says excitedly, “They are super well known for their rescue operations!”

“Wasn’t All Might suppose to meet us here?” Aizawa quietly asks Thirteen.

“Ahh, it seems like he ran into some trouble this morning and ran out of time.” Thirteen quickly responds.

“Of course” Aizawa mutters under his breath in irritation.

“Before we get started, there are one or two things I want you to be aware of,” Thirteen says, turning back to the students. “Okay so it may be three, or four? Five? No, no more than 6 points.” Class 1A sighs getting ready for the long lecture to come. “As you may know my quirk is called Black Hole”

Izuku and Uraraka nod vigorously, making their classmates chuckle at their antics. “You’ve used it in some great rescues!” Uraraka says with such enthusiasm that it almost seems like she was the one who had rescued them.

“While that is true. It can also easily be used to kill.” That quickly sobers everyone up, all of their attention now on Thirteen. “My quirk is Black Hole, and like a real black hole, anything that gets sucked in will forever be torn to shreds. We live in a world where there are people with these super powers, with people ruling over us giving us restrictions and regulations to follow. Quirks like mine are heavily monitored. Our society may seem safe and stable to most, but if someone like me were to lose control, there would certainly be casualties. During your quirk test with Aizawa on the first day you learned how much better you can perform when you use your quirk as a tool to aid you. During your battle trials with All Might, you learned how dangerous they can be towards others. Today's training will teach you another aspect of your quirks, as well as how to use them to save lives.” The students straighten their backs with some visibly vibrating with excitement.
Your quirk is a tool, and not meant to be used to inflict harm on others. My goal is that you leave here today with the understanding that heroism is about helping others.”

“Great, now first off” Aizawa starts, drawing attention to himself before he trails off head turning towards the central plaza. The class follows his gaze, finding a large looming cloud of purple mist.

“Is this just like the entrance exam? Where the lesson has already started?” Kirishima asks, putting an arm up to shade his face, noticing people emerging from the mist.

“Stay put!” Aizawa calls, bringing the goggles that hang around his neck up towards his face,  “Those are real villains.” Everyones’ eyes widen at the prospect that villains invaded UA. “The trespassing the other day was caused by these scumbags wasnt it” Aizawa somewhat mutters under his breath.

“What?! Villains! Theres no way that they could get in to a hero school!” Kirishima states.

“Sensei! What about the trespasser sensors!” Yaoyorozu asks Thirteen.

“We have them but…”

“Did they only appear here? Or around the whole school?” Todoroki asks, “Either way, if the sensors aren't working, that would mean that someone has a quirk to stop them. In an isolated area away from the main campus. These guys might be fools, however, they aren't dumb.”

“Thirteen, start the evacuation. Try calling the school. Since they likely have someone with a quirk for the sensors… Kaminari, try using your quirk to contact the school.”

“Wait, what about you sir! You’re not planning on fighting by yourself?!” Midoriya calls.

“You can't be a hero if you aren’t ready to take risks, kid. Thirteen, I leave them to you.” Aizawa responds before bounding down the stairs towards the onset of villains. Aizawa makes quick work of the villains, almost immediately taking down 3 before moving onto another lot.

“Wow. Mr. Aizawa is actually really good at fighting that many people, huh” Midoriya observes as his classmates run towards the door, Thirteen guiding them.

“Midoriya hurry up! This is no time for analysis!” Ida calls.

“Ah right!.” Running towards the doors the purple mist appears again, only this time blocking them from their exit.

“Greetings, we are the League of Villains. I apologize for inviting ourselves to the ‘glorious land that is UA’ but you see we are wanting to snatch All Mights last breath and thought it would be poetic for him to die in the heart of heros’. And I was lead to believe that he should have been here. Has there been some kind of change?” The mist asks, watching the students struggle to keep from shaking. “Well, its not here nor there, my task remains the same. I still have my part to play.” Thirteen unlatches the end of their fingertip and aims it at the mist, however before they had the chance to release their quirk, Bakugo and Kirishima jump in the way causing a massive explosion aimed at the mist man.

“I'm guessing that you didn't consider that we would beat you first!” Kirishima comments, pushing his knuckles together.

“Oh dear, that was dangerous. I forgot that even though you are only students, you are the golden eggs of this generation.”

“Move out of the way you two, leave the villains to the heros!”

“Now I believe that I never actually told you what my job was,” Mist man says, the golden eyes crinkling up suggesting his smile. “My job is to scatter you all!” He quickly expands the mist engulfing him and a number of the students, with only a small number managing to escape in time.

~

Midoriya's world spiraled into a dizzying whirlpool as Mist mans’ mist transported him. With an abrupt thud, he found himself sprawled on the ground, the wind knocked out of him. He pushes himself up onto his hands and knees, coughing as he tried to catch his breath.

The world around him was an alien landscape. Towering grass, verdant and untouched, stretching as far as the eye could see. Midoriya realizes he was no longer within the confines of the USJ, but the unfamiliarity of his surroundings has left him baffled.

As he scanned the horizon, he notices sparse clusters of trees dotting the grassland, their leaves rustling softly in the breeze.

Midoriya slowly got to his feet, his heart pounding with unease and curiosity. His surroundings seem peaceful, devoid of the constant threat he has grown accustomed to.

"Where am I?" he whispered to himself, his voice carrying away in the wind, with each step he took, he couldn't help but wonder where on earth he was.

Chapter 2

Summary:

Izuku encounters a couple of Titans, and gets to meet Levi, Erwin, and Petra!

Notes:

So just a warning, I have never read, or written AOT fanfiction and found out more recently I got most key points in the show wrong… I am somewhat rewatching the show whenever I need a scene but can’t remember how it goes. Also thank you chat GPT for reminding me how the show went and the key points! I swear AOT was a fever dream… especially the later episodes.

Chapter Text

‘Ok, there's a few ways I could go about this’, Izuku mused to himself, his thoughts echoing in the vast expanse of the unfamiliar landscape. The uncertainty hung in the air like a heavy fog, and Izuku found himself at a crossroads, contemplating his next move.

"Either stay here and wait for someone," he muttered aloud, the words carried away by the gentle breeze, "but that warper guy probably won't tell them where exactly I am."

The option of waiting seemed uncertain, dependent on the whims of a mysterious individual who had transported him to this unknown realm. Izuku frowned, considering the potential drawbacks of relying on someone who had, intentionally or not, stranded him in this peculiar world.

"Or," he continued, "I could try to find a clearing nearby and rest up there, preferably somewhere high up but with shelter since I have no idea how long it would take to find me."

The idea of seeking refuge in a clearing appealed to Izuku's instincts for survival. A higher vantage point would offer him a better view of the surroundings, helping him assess potential threats or opportunities. However, the unknown dangers lurking in the shadows of this unfamiliar terrain gave him pause.

"I could otherwise try to find a village or at least a house and get them to help me get back," Izuku pondered aloud, "that could be dangerous, though, since I have no idea if I'll find anyone."

The thought of seeking help from the locals carried its own risks. Would they be friendly, or would they see him as a threat? The unknown variables heightened the anxiety bubbling within him. Izuku sighed, grappling with the weight of his decision.

"I guess it's the former…" he conceded, the uncertainty reflected in his eyes. He gazed up to the sky, finding the sun and deciding to head toward it as if seeking guidance from the celestial body.

After wandering around for an hour, Izuku's vigilant eyes finally caught sight of a figure in the distance. Hope blossomed within him, and he couldn't help but feel relief. "Finally!" he exclaimed silently, quickening his pace to greet the potential saviour.

Closing the distance, Izuku began calling out to the figure, desperately trying to catch their attention. The figure turned its colossal head toward Izuku, revealing a broad, toothy smile. The relief quickly turned to horror as the 12-meter-tall humanoid figure redirected its entire body towards him, arms outstretched in what seemed like a gesture of friendliness.

"I seem to have made a bad decision," Izuku thought, panic creeping into his mind. Instinct took over, and he turned to run in the opposite direction, a desperate plea for help escaping his lips.

While sprinting, Izuku glanced over his shoulder to check if the colossal humanoid was still in pursuit. To his absolute horror, the giant figure was reaching down towards him. Panic surged through his veins until, unexpectedly, the colossal hand went limp, and the entire body collapsed forward.

Wide-eyed, Izuku observed a small figure standing on the back of the fallen giant, a sword in hand being flicked to rid the blade of the blood that had stained it. The figure turned its gaze towards Izuku, his eyes sharpening as he caught sight of Izuku. The sight sent shivers down Izuku's spine, and he took a few hesitant steps back.

"What the?" he stammered, only to cut himself off, shaking his head, "Nope! Never mind, I don't want to die!" With newfound determination, he turned back around, intending to put as much distance between himself and the enigmatic killer.

To his surprise, just as he turned, he found himself face to face with icy blue eyes belonging to a blond-haired man who sat on top of a horse staring down at him.

The two men, clad in unfamiliar attire, bore down on him with a determination that sent shivers down his spine.

In an attempt to communicate, the men raised their voices, speaking in a language Izuku couldn't comprehend. Panic seized him, and his first instinct was to flee, to put as much distance as possible between himself and these enigmatic strangers. The weight of uncertainty and fear pressed down on him, and he sprinted, his heart pounding.

However, his escape attempts were in vain. The two men, seemingly unfazed by his desperation, skillfully maneuvered their horses, cutting off his path with calculated precision each time he tried. Forced to a halt, Izuku stumbled and fell to his knees, the unfamiliar ground beneath him a harsh reminder of his vulnerability.

Tears welled in his eyes as a profound sense of helplessness washed over him. He struggled to comprehend the situation, the language barrier an insurmountable wall between him and his would-be rescuers? The frustration and confusion across his face only seemed to aggravate the two men.

The man with piercing grey eyes, short black, and a no-nonsense demeanour grew visibly irritated. Muttering something under his breath, his patience seems to be wearing thin. In a swift motion, he bent down, lifting Izuku effortlessly from the ground. The struggle continued as Izuku squirmed in the man's grasp, his protests lost in the wind.

Unfazed by the resistance, he hoisted Izuku onto the horse and positioned himself behind him. With a little conversation between the men, they set off, with Izuku's struggles persisting. The two men engaged in a heated debate about what to do with this foreign interloper, their voices laced with frustration.

The dark-haired man muttered something else while the other seemed to give a disapproving glare, which seemed to shut him up. The journey continued, the tension between the men and their peculiar captive palpable.

In a fleeting moment of respite, Izuku managed to wriggle free from the dark-haired man's grasp. He stumbled away, his breaths heavy and laboured. For about 30 minutes, he moved through the unfamiliar landscape, desperately attempting to distance himself from the mounting complexities of his situation.

However, the tranquillity was quickly shattered when another monstrous figure emerged, lunging towards Izuku with menacing intent. Panic surged anew, and Izuku found himself cornered by the relentless titan. 'What the hell is my luck today!' Izuku internally screams. Just as despair threatened to consume him, a skilled and agile figure appeared on the scene.

With precision and grace, she swiftly dispatched the titan, saving Izuku from imminent danger. As the dust settled, The red-haired lady turned her attention to the bewildered and frightened Izuku. With a calm demeanour, she attempted to communicate, asking the disoriented young man about his origins.

Izuku, still lost in translation, bowed in gratitude, hoping that his body language conveyed his lack of understanding. Petra, astute and empathetic, recognized the communication barrier. With a nod, she gestured for him to follow; Izuku decided that it would be safer if he kept with her. She leads him towards a group of individuals who camped among the trees.

It was there that Izuku found himself face-to-face with his first two captors, the enigmatic leaders of this group. The campfire flickered, casting shadows that danced across their faces. As the red-haired lady conveyed the peculiar encounter, Izuku's eyes locked onto the stern yet calculating gaze of the dark-haired man.

Chapter Text

Amidst the towering trees, bathed in the ethereal glow of the moonlight filtering through the dense foliage, Petra Ral guided Izuku Midoriya towards the small campsite where the rest of the Levi Squad awaited. The air was thick with a palpable mixture of tension and curiosity, the squad members casting wary glances at the newcomer.

Petra's bright smile cut through the darkness, a beacon of warmth in the chilly night. It starkly contrasted with the more apprehensive expressions worn by his two would-be kidnappers, the leaders of the squad. As the group approached, Petra's enthusiasm remained undeterred, her positive energy slicing through the uncertainty in the air.

"Hey, everyone! Look what I found!" Petra's announcement rang out with infectious joy, her gesture drawing attention towards Izuku. The squad turned their collective gaze towards the unfamiliar face in their midst, their reactions ranging from genuine curiosity to guarded suspicion.

Levi's stern gaze narrowed as he regarded Izuku, his apprehension evident in the tight line of his jaw. Erwin, the strategic mind of the squad, wore a thoughtful expression, his mind racing through the implications of this unexpected encounter. The rest of the squad mirrored the concerns of their leaders, exchanging glances that conveyed shared reservations. The atmosphere grew heavier, laden with the weight of the decision they were about to make.

Meanwhile, Izuku was perched on a sturdy tree branch, slightly removed from the ongoing discussion. The vantage point gave him a sweeping view of the surrounding forest, its towering trees and mysterious shadows engaging in an otherworldly dance. Amidst the heated debate below, he couldn't help but be captivated by the beauty of this unfamiliar landscape.

His mind, however, resembled a tumultuous sea of thoughts, each wave crashing against the shores of his consciousness. How did he end up here? What was happening? The internal struggle intensified as he grappled with the realization that he was surrounded by individuals with blood on their hands, murderers in the eyes of his world.

Despite Petra's warm welcome, the presence of killers stirred conflicting emotions within Izuku. One among them was undeniably friendly, yet the weight of their shared actions hung like an unspoken truth. His moral compass wavered, caught between the desire to understand and the instinct to distance himself from those he deemed dangerous.

As the discussion below continued, Izuku's attention oscillated between the dynamics of the group and the expansive mysteries of the forest. He felt like an outsider in more ways than one, a lone soul adrift in a sea of uncertainty.

Suddenly, Petra reappeared, her face adorned with a bright smile that could rival the moon's radiance. In her hands, she carried a simple yet inviting spread of food. "Hungry?" she asked, extending the offering towards Izuku.

Breaking through his reverie, Izuku focused on Petra's words. He hesitated, the wariness lingering, but hunger prevailed. With a nod, he accepted the food, his gaze fixed on the unfamiliar items in his hands.

"Hello! I'm Petra Ral! But call me Petra," she said, pointing to herself. "Ral?" Izuku attempted to repeat, earning a shake of Petra's head. "Petra," she corrected, her tone gentle and encouraging. "Huh? But Petra doesn't really sound like their last name. Oh! Is this like the Americans? They use their first name?" Izuku pondered aloud, his thoughts racing to make sense of this cultural difference.

"Petra?" he tried again, earning a thumbs up from Petra. Encouraged by her positive response, he delved into the lesson. "Bread?" Petra offered a piece, guiding him through the pronunciation. "Breed?" Izuku attempted, only to be met with laughter from Petra. "Bread," she corrected, her laughter infectious.

"Bre-ead," Izuku repeated, his pronunciation gradually improving. Petra's patient guidance continued as she introduced him to the world of words, a bridge between their disparate languages.

Chapter Text

Two months had passed since Izuku found himself stranded in the unfamiliar world of Attack on Titan. The initial shock of the transition had subsided, replaced by a determined resolve to adapt and survive. His efforts to grasp the language had succeeded. Now, equipped with a basic understanding, he navigated the complexities of communication with the denizens of this titan-infested realm.

One day, frustration boiled over as Izuku attempted to grapple with the complexities of the ODM gear. The apparatus, though equipped, remained untouched as he faceplanted into the ground. Oluo Bozado, one of the more outspoken members of the Levi Squad, voiced his exasperation. "How do we expect this idiot to use the gear if he can't even walk with it?" he exclaimed, his irritation palpable.

"I didn't understand half of that, but I know he said something mean," Izuku remarked with a wry smile, his ability to find humour in adversity as a testament to his resilient spirit.

Levi, the seasoned leader of the self-proclaimed Levi Squad, took charge of Izuku's ODM gear training with his stern demeanour. The squad gathered in a cleared area, surrounded by towering trees that whispered tales of countless battles fought against the Titans. The moonlight filtered through the dense foliage, casting a dappled glow on the ground.

"Listen up, brat," Levi's voice cut through the night air, devoid of unnecessary pleasantries. "To survive here, you'll need to master this gear. It's your lifeline against those damn titans."

Izuku nodded, his expression resolute. The ODM gear lay before him, a complex ensemble of wires and gas canisters that seemed more daunting with every passing second. Levi began with the basics, explaining the intricacies of the gear's operation.

With meticulous precision, Levi demonstrated each step, from hooking onto anchor points to the controlled release of gas for propulsion. The rest of the squad watched silently, gazes assessing Izuku's potential with curiosity and scepticism.

Izuku, eager to prove himself, absorbed Levi's instructions like a sponge. He mimicked the movements, grappling with the gear's components under the watchful eyes of the Levi Squad. Initially stumbling, he persevered, his determination overshadowing the initial awkwardness.

"Alright, brat, now try it yourself," Levi commanded, stepping back to give Izuku the space to execute the maneuvers.

The first attempts were clumsy, with Izuku grappling the air more than anything else. Frustration crept into his features, but he pressed on. Levi's sharp critiques sliced through the night, demanding precision and speed. Slowly but steadily, Izuku's movements became more fluid, the ODM gear responding to his commands.

Levi, though sparing with his praise, acknowledged the progress. "Not bad, kid. You've got potential," he grunted, a rare compliment from the stoic leader.

Encouraged, Izuku continued to refine his skills. He practised soaring through the air, changing directions, and landing with controlled precision. The ODM gear became an extension of his body, a tool that would aid him in the relentless battles against the Titans.

As the days passed, Izuku's proficiency with the ODM gear grew. He navigated the forested training ground with agility, a testament to his adaptability. The squad observed with approval and surprise, warming up to the once-stranded newcomer.

During a break in training, Izuku seized the opportunity to approach Levi with questions that had lingered in his mind. "Why do you kill the Titans?" he asked, his eyes reflecting genuine curiosity.

Levi, pausing in his relentless pursuit of perfection, spared Izuku a brief glance. "Titans are a threat. They devour us without reason. We kill them to survive," he replied, his tone carrying the weight of countless battles fought on the front lines.

Dissatisfied with the simplicity of the answer, Izuku delved deeper. "But where do they come from? Why do they exist?" he pressed, his thirst for understanding unabated.

Levi, not knowing the answer, just made him get back to training, cutting the break short.

The enigmatic nature of the Titans remained a haunting mystery. As Izuku continued his ODM gear training under the moonlit canopy, he couldn't shake the feeling that the answers he sought were buried within the shadows of this titan-infested world.

~

As the night fell, shrouding the training grounds in darkness, Izuku's insatiable curiosity led him to seek answers beyond the squad's knowledge. Sneaking away during the quiet hours, he found solace in the shadows, away from the prying eyes of his comrades.

Under the starlit sky, Izuku engaged in clandestine practice sessions with his quirk. He sought to push his limits to understand the extent of his newfound abilities. However, he was cautious, aware of the limitations imposed by the harsh reality of this world. Training too hard would attract attention, and medical care was a luxury they couldn't afford.

In the quietude of the night, Izuku honed his control over the quirk, managing to limit the percentage of its power he unleashed. Each controlled manifestation brought him closer to mastering this mysterious ability that set him apart from the denizens of the Attack on Titan universe. The stakes were high, but Izuku was determined to navigate this perilous journey, armed with the resilience that defined him and the unwavering spirit that fueled his quest for answers.

Under the cloak of darkness, with the moon casting a silvery glow upon the training grounds, Izuku ventured into the shadows for his nightly ritual of quirk practice. The cool night air hung still, and the distant echoes of titans' roars seemed muted, creating an eerie symphony that accompanied Izuku's solitary endeavours.

With a deep breath, he summoned the power within, feeling the familiar surge of energy coursing through his veins. The ethereal glow of his quirk illuminated the space around him, casting an otherworldly aura. It was a sight unseen by his fellow scouts, a secret dance of light and shadows.

Knowing the risks involved, Izuku carefully limited the percentage of his quirk's power. The stakes were high; too much attention drawn to his nocturnal activities could unravel the fragile threads of trust he had woven with the Levi Squad. In this unforgiving world, medical care was a scarce commodity, and a reckless injury could spell disaster.

He began with simple exercises, manipulating the energy within him to create controlled bursts of light. The gentle radiance flickered like a candle in the night, a testament to the precision he aimed to achieve. Izuku moved with deliberate intent, each motion a calculated step towards mastery.

As the minutes stretched into hours, he explored the versatility of his quirk. From subtle glows to more pronounced bursts, Izuku experimented with the nuances of control. The night became his training ground, the stars bearing witness to a lone individual striving to understand the depths of an ability that defied the laws of his previous reality.

The occasional rustle of leaves and the distant sounds of titans were a haunting backdrop to Izuku's silent endeavours. He questioned the fabric of his existence, the peculiar circumstances that had thrust him into a world where titans roamed, and humans fought for survival.

Amidst the darkness, Izuku's focus remained unwavering. He honed not only the technical aspects of his quirk but also its application in combat scenarios. Imaginary adversaries became tangible threats in his mind's eye as he rehearsed maneuvers and strategies, envisioning a future where his abilities could be harnessed for the greater good.

Yet, the weight of isolation pressed upon him. The secrecy of his nightly training sessions, born out of necessity, also fueled a sense of loneliness. In this world where trust was a fragile commodity, Izuku carried the burden of his truth in solitude, a silent guardian of a power that set him apart.

As the night wore on, Izuku's efforts bore fruit. The controlled manifestations of his quirk became second nature, an extension of his will. A quiet sense of satisfaction washed over him mingled with a lingering yearning for answers—answers that remained elusive in the face of the enigmatic titans and the mysteries that shrouded their origin.

With a final, controlled burst of light, Izuku concluded his nocturnal training. The stars above bore witness to a young man navigating the shadows, seeking understanding in a world where every revelation brought new questions. In the quiet aftermath of his clandestine endeavours, Izuku stood alone, a beacon of light against the backdrop of the titan-infested night, his journey unfolding beneath the celestial tapestry of an unfamiliar universe.

Chapter Text

Erwin and Levi sat in their makeshift office, the air thick with the scent of paper and ink as they navigated the sea of paperwork. Levi, perched on a chair with his trademark nonchalance, grumbled about the latest thing Izuku had done. Erwin focused on the task and dealt with the documents with practised ease.

During this mundane administrative chaos, the door creaked open, revealing a determined Izuku with Petra right by his side, an excited smile plastered across her face. They entered with a determined stride, their expressions unwavering despite the potential storm brewing ahead.

"Can I please go out in the field with you guys?" Izuku's request was more measured this time, his eyes locking onto Erwin's and Levi's.

Levi, not one to mince words, responded immediately, "No. It's too dangerous, and you're not ready... And I don't know if I can deal with you if I spend any longer with you", muttering the latter under his breath.

Erwin, adopting a more diplomatic approach, added, "Izuku, you're still learning. We can't risk your safety."

Petra's frustration flared. She knew he had proven himself in training, and the desire to contribute to the scouts' efforts burned within him. "But he's been training so hard! I'm sure he can take care of himself! Plus, if something does happen, I'll take responsibility! Please! It would be much more fun with someone who isn't an old grandpa!"

Levi shot him a sharp look. "This isn't a playground, kid. Titans don't play nice."

Izuku's eyes flickered with defiance. "I understand the risks, but I can't just sit idly by. I want to make a difference."

Erwin sighed, recognizing the determination in Izuku's eyes. "Izuku, it's not just about your skills. We need to consider the impact your presence might have on the squad dynamics and the overall mission."

Levi grunted in agreement. "We can't afford distractions or unnecessary risks. The field is no place for a rookie."

Izuku, undeterred, argued his case. "I've been adapting and learning quickly. I won't be a liability. Just give me a chance to prove myself."

Erwin considered Izuku's plea, his gaze shifting between the determined hero and his stoic counterpart. Levi, maintaining his tough exterior, crossed his arms, silently awaiting Erwin's decision.

Finally, after a thoughtful pause, Erwin relented. "Ugh, fine. You can come with us. But-" he pointed a stern finger at Izuku.

"Yeah, yeah, gramps! Listen to everything you say, and don't go wandering off!

Izuku's eyes lit up with gratitude. "Thank you! I won't let you down."

Levi, still sceptical, muttered under his breath, "We'll see about that."

As Izuku left the office to spread the news, Erwin turned to Levi with a wry smile. "Sometimes, Levi, a bit of youthful enthusiasm might be exactly what we need."

Levi grunted in response, his expression revealing a mixture of annoyance and begrudging acceptance. The decision had been made, and the once-stranded hero from another world was about to embark on a new chapter within the ranks of the scouts.

As Izuku dashed off with Petra to spread the news among the other scouts, Erwin couldn't help but mumble under his breath, "Damn, kids." He returned his attention to the paperwork, realizing that including the young, spirited kid would undoubtedly add a new layer of complexity to their missions.

---

Izuku and Petra excitedly gathered the other scouts to announce Izuku's imminent venture into the field with them. The news rippled through the group like wildfire, eliciting a mix of reactions ranging from curious glances to sceptical furrows of brows.

"He's coming with us?" Oluo Bozado questioned, eyeing Izuku with a hint of scepticism. "I hope he doesn't get in the way."

"He's got potential," Petra defended, a confident smirk on her lips. "You'll see."

The others exchanged glances, uncertainty lingering in the air. Regardless, the prospect of having Izuku join their ranks stirred curiosity and cautious optimism among the scouts. The dynamics of their missions were bound to shift with the addition of this kid.

---

Out in the field, with the wind rushing through the dense foliage, Izuku and Petra soared through the trees with their ODM gear. The rhythmic clinks of the maneuvering devices echoed through the forest as they demonstrated their newfound synergy.

"I'm wondering if it was a good idea to keep him," Oluo grumbled, glancing at the duo from below.

"You're not the only one," Eld Jinn concurred, his gaze following their acrobatic display.

Suddenly, Oluo's warning interrupted their contemplation. "Oi! Brats, titan on your left!"

Petra and Izuku turned in unison, their eyes widening as they spotted the looming figure of a giant titan. "You couldn't warn us sooner!?" Petra yelled, deftly maneuvering away from the approaching threat.

Izuku, initially shocked, quickly regained his composure. A determined grin crossed his face as he flew forward using OFA a bit to limit his gas useage, narrowly evading the titan's grasp. Surprising himself with the proximity to danger, he swiftly sliced through the titan's nape, the blade cutting through flesh with practised precision.

The other scouts watched with surprise and approval as Izuku and Petra regrouped on horseback. Petra tossed Erwin a triumphant smirk, silently conveying, 'I told you so.' The unspoken confirmation echoed through the air, a testament to Izuku's resilience and growing prowess as a scout member.

"Oi! Brat, don't go wasting your gas! We don't know when we might need it!" Oluo warns, Izuku rolls his eyes

Chapter Text

After a day spent tending to the horses and cleaning out their stalls, Izuku found himself in the midst of the bustling camaraderie within the scout's quarters. The aroma of celebration and the clinking of glasses filled the air, and a cheerful invitation from Petra cut through the lively chatter.

"Hey, Izuku, come have a drink with us!" Petra's voice carried across the room, prompting Izuku to glance up from his task. He walked over to the group, a curious expression on his face.

"Nah, I'm good. though I am curious, who are you?" Izuku inquired, directing his question at a particularly energetic individual in the group.

"Hange Zoe! Nice to meet you. Now come on, have a drink and stop being such a downer!" Hange declared with infectious enthusiasm.

"Fine, fine! I'll have one bloody drink," Izuku conceded, scowling playfully as he took the offered drink and had a sip.

As the night progressed, the drinks flowed freely, and the atmosphere grew increasingly festive. Laughter echoed through the room as the scouts, including Izuku, found themselves in various stages of intoxication.

The scout quarters buzzed with the energy of camaraderie as the scouts gathered for a night of revelry. A makeshift circle formed, and an impromptu game of "Never Have I Ever" began. The participants included Levi, Izuku, Hange, Oluo, Eld, Erwin, and Petra. The room echoed with laughter and the clinking of glasses as the game unfolded.

Hange, taking a swig from her drink, started the round. "Never have I ever... ridden a horse backwards." Laughter erupted as some scouts, including Erwin, took a sip, revealing their equestrian antics.

Petra, always the eccentric soul, followed suit. "Never have I ever... tried to convince a titan to dance!" The group chuckled, but Hange took a sip, confessing to their peculiar attempt at titan interaction.

Eld, chimed in next. "Never have I ever... lost a bet to Petra." Petra smirked, acknowledging her triumph, while Oluo begrudgingly took a sip, the memory of their wager evident in his expression.

Erwin, deciding to keep it light, declared, "Never have I ever... fallen asleep during a strategy meeting." The room burst into laughter as some guilty faces, met the admission.

Oluo, with a mischievous glint in his eye, offered his turn. "Never have I ever... accidentally set my gear on fire." Izuku chuckled nervously, taking a sip as he recalled an unfortunate incident during his early training.

Izuku, deciding to join in, stated. "Never have I ever... regretted a decision on the battlefield." The room fell into a momentary hush as each scout reflected on their experiences. Levi, to the surprise of many, took a sip, his gaze briefly meeting Izuku's.

As the game continued, the scouts bonded over shared experiences, embarrassing moments, and the occasional revelation.

Amidst the revelations and shared anecdotes, Hange suddenly declared, "Okay, okay, Izuku! I dare you to... kiss Levi!"

Izuku's eyes widened in surprise, and he glanced at Levi, who was also inebriated but maintained a stern expression. "Fucking what now? I wasn't aware we were playing truth or dare. I thought it was 'Never Have I Ever.'"

"Well, whatever. Either you do it, or you drink!" Hange slurred, a mischievous grin on their face.

Izuku rolled his eyes somewhat theatrically, making his way over to Levi, who eyed him warily. "Don't you even think about it," Levi warned, even in his drunken state.

Undeterred, Izuku took Levi's hand, leaning in to plant a gentlemanly kiss on the top. The unconventional display earned a collective "aww, lame" from Hange, accompanied by laughter from the others. Levi, however, responded with a swift kick to Izuku's gut, a testament to his enduring gruffness, even in the midst of a lighthearted moment.

The room erupted in laughter, and Izuku, rubbing his stomach, joined in the merriment. "You know," he slurred, the alcohol-infused boldness taking over, "if we were back in my world, I could kick your ass."

The room fell momentarily silent as the scouts exchanged puzzled glances. Levi, his brow furrowing, shot Izuku a stern look. "What the hell are you talking about, brat?"

Izuku's eyes widened, realizing the gravity of what he had just blurted out. "huh? what are you talking about?" Izuku attempted to feign ignorance.

Levi, unamused, dismissed Izuku's comment with a wave of his hand. "Sure thing, kid."

The atmosphere quickly shifted, and the scouts, adept at brushing off peculiar comments, resumed their banter as if nothing unusual had occurred. The room echoed with laughter, and the night continued with the shared camaraderie that defined their unique bond.

Chapter Text

Two days after the drunken escapades, Levi found a moment to pull Izuku aside for a conversation. The two stood in a quiet corner of the scout quarters, away from the hustle and bustle.

"Izuku," Levi began, his usually stoic expression betraying a hint of curiosity, "about what you said the other night. 'If we were back in your world, you could kick my ass.' Care to explain?"

Izuku, caught off guard, tried to play it off with a casual shrug. "Oh, you know, just drunk talk. Don't read too much into it."

Levi, unrelenting, raised an eyebrow. "Drunk or not, you don't say that without reason. Spit it out, brat."

Izuku sighed, realizing he couldn't escape Levi's probing gaze. "Fine," he relented, "but you might not believe me. I think I'm from another world."

Levi's stern expression didn't waver, but he crossed his arms, waiting for Izuku to continue.

"I've never seen Titans where I come from. Instead, we have villains and heroes. And quirks," Izuku explained, choosing his words carefully. "Quirks are like powers. Mine allows me to enhance my physical abilities. Super strength, agility, and all that."

Levi arched an eyebrow, unfamiliar with quirks and the world Izuku described.

"In my world," Izuku continued, "we don't fight titans. We fight villains who use their quirks for harm and heroes who try to stop them. It's a different kind of battle, but just as dangerous."

Levi processed the information, his gaze shifting between Izuku and the bustling scout quarters. "So, you're saying you come from a world where people have powers, and they use them to fight each other instead of titans?"

Izuku nodded. "Yeah. It's a complex world with its own challenges. Titans are nothing compared to some of the villains we face."

Levi remained silent for a moment, absorbing the revelation. "If what you're saying is true," he finally said, "then you're a long way from home, kid."

Izuku sighed, a mixture of relief and apprehension washing over him. "Yeah, tell me about it."

"How the hell did you even get here, then?" Levi's stern inquiry echoed through the quiet corner of the scout quarters.

Izuku scratched the back of his head, uncertainty evident in his expression. "There was an attack on my school. One of the villains had a quirk that allowed him to warp people's places. Maybe it malfunctioned or something and sent me here? Honestly, I have no idea beyond that, though."

Levi's narrowed gaze didn't waver, probing for any hint of deception. "I'm guessing that was when you were found outside the walls?"

Izuku nodded solemnly. "Yeah... I thought it would be a good idea to find someone to help me get back. Came across that titan and thought it was just someone using their quirk."

Levi snorted, a rare display of amusement. "You thought a titan was someone using their quirk?"

Izuku chuckled nervously, realizing the absurdity of his assumption. "I was desperate and disoriented, okay? Everything was so different from what I knew. I never thanked you for that, so thanks for saving me back then."

Levi snorted again, a hint of a smirk on his lips. "Despite that, you decided to be a problem child and run away."

"Well, I thought you had just killed someone! Even heroes didn't do that!" Izuku exclaimed, flustered.

Chapter Text

Six months into Izuku's stay in this new world, Izuku found himself strolling through the streets of Trost on a rare day off. A bag of cookies in hand, he observed the flow of people, their conversations blending into a distant hum.

As he munched on a chocolate chip delight; when a small cry caught Izuku's attention. In the narrow alley of Trost, a trio of bullies surrounded a small, timid-looking child. The leader, a stocky boy with a scowl etched onto his face, was accompanied by two lackeys, equally menacing in their demeanour.

The victim, a fragile-looking kid with dishevelled hair and tear-filled eyes, cowered under the bullies' menacing presence. The contrast between their imposing figures and the small child's vulnerability heightened Izuku's sense of injustice.

As Izuku intervened, the bullies, momentarily caught off guard, exchanged defiant glances. The leader, unwilling to back down, puffed out his chest, attempting to salvage his wounded pride.

"What's it to you, huh?" he sneered, attempting to stand his ground. The lackeys, emboldened by their leader's bravado, mirrored his aggressive stance.

Izuku, however, remained unfazed, his determined gaze narrowing on the trio. "Leave them alone. Pick on someone your own size," he asserted, his tone unwavering.

The bullies hesitated, a brief flicker of uncertainty crossing their faces. But pride and bravado compelled them to resist the retreat. "We do what we want. Mind your own business, loser!" the leader spat, his bravado barely masking a hint of insecurity.

Undeterred, Izuku took a step forward, his presence radiating an aura of unwavering resolve. The onlookers, previously silent witnesses, began to murmur among themselves, the tide of public opinion turning against the bullies.

Seeing the shifting dynamics, the leader gritted his teeth, realizing the crowd was not on their side. Reluctantly, he signalled to his lackeys, and the trio begrudgingly retreated, casting venomous glares at Izuku.

With the bullies dispersing, Izuku turned his attention to the distressed child. The small, dishevelled figure looked up at him with gratitude and awe. Izuku offered a reassuring smile, extending a cookie as a gesture of comfort.

"Here, have a cookie. It always helps cheer me up," Izuku said, the simple act of kindness dissolving the tension that had gripped the alley moments before. The small child hesitated before accepting the cookie, their tearful eyes now reflecting a glimmer of gratitude and relief.

Continuing his walk through Trost, Izuku couldn't shake the feeling that something was amiss. The lively chatter of the streets had given way to an eerie silence. Curiosity guiding his gaze, he looked up at the colossal walls, where a collective hush had fallen over the crowd.

Following the unified stares of the townspeople, Izuku's eyes widened as he spotted it—a large titan head peering over the wall. The atmosphere shifted from tranquillity to apprehension, and a chill ran down Izuku's spine.

"God fucking damn it!" Izuku cursed, almost dropping his bag of cookies. However, the hero within him stirred, "Everyone! Back to the walls! Let's go! Let's go!" Izuku yelled with urgency

A 10-meter titan charged towards the large group of people Izuku was assisting. Without a second thought, he sprinted towards the colossal creature, using his quick thinking to distract it. The Titan, along with a few others, chased him relentlessly. Drawing on One For All, Izuku skillfully dodged their attacks, leading the pursuing Titans away.

As the chaos unfolded, a group of cadets appeared, glaring at Izuku with a mix of frustration and disbelief. One of them couldn't help but voice their concern, "The fuck is your problem, kid?! Are you trying to get yourself killed?"

"If I was, I was doing a pretty shit job at it," Izuku retorted, his attention momentarily drawn to a fallen cadet. Izuku approached the fallen cadet, a solemn expression on his face as he crouched beside the lifeless form. Despite the situation's urgency, Izuku couldn't help but feel a twinge of sadness for the fallen comrade.

"Rest in peace," he muttered quietly, a moment of reverence for the unknown soldier. With a sense of purpose, Izuku reached for the ODM gear, unclasping it from the fallen soldier's lifeless form. The cadets watched in silence, a mix of curiosity and uncertainty in their eyes.

As he equipped the gear, Izuku couldn't ignore the weight of responsibility that came with wearing the equipment of a fallen comrade. The familiar hum of the ODM gear echoed in his ears, a stark reminder of the ongoing battle and the need to press forward. His movements were swift and practised, a testament to his training in the harsh world of the Titans.

The cadets, however, seemed less appreciative of Izuku's efficiency. A voice among them, a brash and outspoken cadet, couldn't resist commenting on the situation. "Look at this guy, acting all high and mighty with someone else's gear. Probably doesn't even know how to use it."

Izuku ignored the remark, his focus on the task at hand. He adjusted the straps and checked the gas canisters, ensuring everything was in working order. As he prepared to take off, another cadet chimed in with a smirk, "Think you can keep up, newbie? We don't need any liabilities."

Izuku sighed inwardly, growing increasingly annoyed by the cadets' comments. He was here to help, not to endure their misguided jabs. Without wasting words, he launched into the air, propelling himself with a burst of gas. The ODM gear responded to his movements with familiarity, and he effortlessly soared through the air.

The cadets followed, their initial scepticism becoming a mix of surprise and begrudging admiration as they struggled to match Izuku's skill. Despite their attempts to keep up, Izuku maneuvered through the tight spaces between buildings, expertly avoiding Titan attacks.

"Who the hell are you!" one yelled, watching Izuku take down another titan.

"Izuku Midoriya, Levi squad and your commander as of now!" Izuku responds agitatedly, finally getting sick of their persistence and shocking the others.

Izuku spotted some cadets sitting on a building, their expressions a mix of horror and disbelief. "Status check, how's everything looking?" Izuku inquired.

They stared at him blankly until a blond-haired cadet, who appeared the most horrified, responded, "Colossal titan showed up, no sight of the armoured, Sir"

'no shit! That Titan is Colossal! Though I really don't want to find out what the armoured Titan is capable of,' Izuku thinks before pressing his actual question, "Any abnormals at this point?"

"Yes, Sir, one 15-meter. He has been attacking his own. We decided to let him help us, Sir!"

"And where is he?" Izuku scanned the area, trying to spot said Titan.

"Over there, Sir!" he responded and pointed towards the Titan.

Izuku observed for a moment. "He's not doing any damage to us yet, but the second he does, I want everyone to get away and report to me; he's too dangerous for you lot to deal with."

"Yes, Sir."

"How's your lot's gas going?" Izuku turned to the rest of the cadets.

"Running low or out, but the armoury is being invaded by titans," one of them reported.

"I see." Izuku nodded, quickly formulating a plan. "Alright, what's going to happen is we're going to lure that abnormal towards the armoury to take out the Titans. Anyone who is out of gas can have mine."

"What about you?" a cadet asked.

"I'll manage," Izuku said with a sinister grin before taking out his bag of cookies and taking a bite, having not been forgotten. Much to the shock of the others, questioning whether this is the time for the treat.

Chapter Text

Izuku lead the group across the city, towards the city centre where the armory is located. A cadet with black hair and Izuku occasionally veering off leading any titans they see into the path of the abnormal, adhering to the plan. The group eventually reach the armory, and Izuku is the last to arrive, flying through one of the already broken windows. Izuku goes to assess the situation downstairs as to why the titans seemed to have infiltrated the building when a loud shout draws his attention. His face turns quizzical when he notices that his group nearly doubled in size. “Are you the lot meant to be guarding the armory?” His voice quickly silenced his group.

“And who the hell are you?! You guys dragged a civilian here? What the hell is wrong with you!” someone yelled, directing his anger towards the group.

“And you guys are any better?! You let titans infiltrate the building! Youre meant to be guarding the building against them!”

“And you can do any better?! You want to fight those things! Be my fucking guest and show us how its done!” Izuku only sighs as the two groups get back to arguing at each other about their respective jobs.

“And here I was thinking you lot were cadets, my mistake.” Izuku says leveling everyone a glare. “Now while I would love to say that I will get everyone here unharmed, well im sure aware of how hard that will be.'' Some of the group looked somewhat embarrassed, while others looked outraged or confused.
“What? Look kid, we ar-”

“Aren’t cadets? Yes I’m well aware with how youre acting. If you cant fight the titans then youre as good as the civilians we protect, so stand down and we’ll get you back to the wall… hopefully”

“You never said who you were…” A young lady asks from behind the crowd. Izuku in turn rolls his evers before introducing himself yet again.

“Izuku Midoriya, of Levi squad. And your commanding officer for the time being. Now could someone tell me what the situation is downstairs.”

“SHIT! SHIT! SHIT!” Izuku heard a couple of cadets yell, titans with part of the nape sliced standing over the two. “Hey buddy~ we’re sorry about that! We didn't mean to it was an accident!” one attempted to reason, as the titans enclosed the two.
“Bloody useless” Izuku mumbles under his breath, before Izuku sprang into action. His eyes narrowed, and focused on the titans closing in on the cadets. In a swift fluid motion, he activated his ODM gear infusing his quirk into it, and launched himself towards the titan. Blades glinting in the dim light of the armory as Izuku slashed through the air, the blades finding their mark with deadly accuracy. In seconds the first titan was crumpled to the ground. Izuku gracefully pivots and maneuvers through the tight space of the armory, before bounding off a wall and descended upon the titan, blades flashing as he sliced through the vulnerable nape. “If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself, I’m starting to understand why Levi likes to work by himself” he continues to mumble. Izuku sighs before looking back at the rest of the cadets. “Alright! Lets fill up quickly and get back to the wall, I don’t want to end up missing my dinner”

“That the last of you?” Izuku asks, when he receives nothing but affirmatives he gets ready to head out when he spots the abnormal being eaten.

“Damn he really was an abnormal, I didn't think they ever eat each other”

“Yeah, no kidding. Kinda gross tho”

“Alright, come on you lot, let's get out of here while the titans are distracted” Izuku interrupts.

“Wait sir! There's something on the abnormals’ nape!” Izuku rolls his eyes but turns to look anyway.

He hears a young black haired lady suddenly yell out “Eren!” and low and behold Izuku spots a person laying at the nape of the abnormal.

Chapter Text

Izuku watched as the carrier descended slowly down the towering walls, the hum of the engines providing an ominous soundtrack to the tension that hung in the air. Three members (who Izuku learnt were called Armin, Mikasa, and Eren, who was a titan?) stood within the confines of the carrier, surrounded by an array of guns and cannons. The armed crew members remained vigilant, their fingers poised over the triggers, ready to unleash a barrage of firepower at the first sign of trouble.

As the carrier approached the ground, the atmosphere became increasingly charged. Armin, usually the strategist, wore a pensive expression. Eren's jaw clenched with determination, and Mikasa's eyes scanned the surroundings, her senses on high alert.

The descent continued, the carrier gradually touching down on the ground. The crew members, armed and focused, kept a wary eye on the trio. The tense standoff persisted, the unspoken threat of violence hanging over the scene.

The atmosphere was charged with hostility as accusations flew between the commander, Mikasa, and Eren. Mikasa, her swords drawn, warned against any attempt to harm Eren, while the commander argued for the immediate elimination of the potential threat.

“Enough of this! We should kill him now! We would expend far fewer resources if we kill him while in human form!” the commander insisted, his voice cutting through the tense air.

“Oi! If you think you can kill him without going through me, well, you have another thing coming!” Mikasa countered, her resolve evident as she brought her swords up in a defensive stance.

The back-and-forth escalated, tension mounting with each passing second. As the commander contemplated the decision to eliminate Eren, an unfamiliar voice cut through the confrontation.

“Sir, there's something you need to know. She managed to get into the elites straight out of training and is equal to 100 men. It would be a shame to lose her,” a voice, presumably from one of the soldiers, offered a piece of crucial information.

“Tell us now! Are you human or a titan!” the commander demanded, the urgency in his tone palpable.

“I'm human!” Eren yelled, his response echoing through the charged atmosphere. Mikasa remained vigilant, ready to defend Eren at a moment's notice.

Izuku, who had been observing the heated exchange, weighed his options. Regardless of Eren's response, the looming threat of being shot lingered. The commander raised his arm, signalling the soldiers to fire. Izuku, anticipating the imminent danger, turned to leave.

However, as the cannons fired and smoke enveloped the scene, Izuku's attention was drawn back. Amongst the smoke, he saw a large, half-formed titan in the place of the three individuals. "God damn," he muttered under his breath, realizing that Eren had activated his titan form in a desperate bid to survive.

From the smoke emerged Armin, running towards the commander. "He isn't the enemy of mankind! We are willing to share information we have gathered!" Armin pleaded, attempting to defuse the situation.

"Begging for your lives is useless! He just showed us that he is a titan! If he is truly an ally, then prove it to us!" the commander declared, scepticism evident in his tone.

"It doesn't matter how we see him! We all saw how the titans were teaming up against him! The titans just see him as prey! Just like the rest of mankind!" Armin screamed, his frustration evident in his words.

"Don't trust him! They're just using this as a way to fool us!" the commander countered, unwilling to yield.

"As a soldier, I swore to devote my heart to the salvation of mankind! I believe that if we added titan power to our armies, it may be possible to recapture the town!" Armin passionately argued, appealing to the shared goal of reclaiming their territory.

Izuku, sensing the situation teetering on the edge, walked forward and grabbed the commander's raised arm before it could signal another attack. "How about, instead of firing at these brats, we actually hear them out? Especially if they think that we could retake the town," he suggested, his voice carrying a hint of authority.

“I've got to agree with the boy here. Don't you see how strong his salute is? I may have just arrived, but I have been briefed on the situation,”  a new voice interjected. Izuku turned to face said owner being faced with Dot Pixis, walking up next to Izuku, a terrifying smile evident on his face.

Chapter Text

The group stood atop the wall overlooking the destroyed city, the wind carrying whispers of the chaos that’s unfolding just below them. Dot had his gaze fixated on the titans wandering through the destroyed gate. The trio stood relaxed with Eren crouched on the ground, Izuku however stood at attention, with his hands folded behind his back.

"I see. And if we reach this basement, we'll understand everything?" Dot inquired, his tone measured yet expectant.

"Yes... Do you believe me?" Eren responded, his voice tinged with a hint of apprehension, barely raising his eyes meeting Dots.

"As long as you lack absolute conviction, I can only promise that I'll keep it in mind. But I do take pride in being able to recognize the truth of what I see. I'll guarantee your safety," Dot assured, his words carrying a weight of experience and authority.

Turning his attention to Armin, Dot delved deeper into the plan that had been proposed. "Trainee Arlert, was it? Back there, you said we could use the Titan's power to reclaim this city. Did you really think so? Or was it just a plea to save your life?"

Armin hesitated momentarily before responding. "Well... Both. What I meant was to have Eren become a Titan then move that boulder to seal the destroyed gate. But it was just an idea. I thought I could get them to at least consider using Eren's power to find a way out of our predicament. But I did come up with that as a way to survive…" Armin mumbles.

"I see," Dot nodded, acknowledging Armin's candid admission. "Lieutenant Midoriya. Do you believe it's possible?"

Izuku quickly studied his surroundings, his posture straightening under the gaze of Dot. "Yes, sir. Given the malformed titan skeleton that was formed before, I believe that he can summon a titan form to do it, and the boulder is more than big enough to plug the hole. It would also allow us to rebuild the gate eventually."

Dot nodded in acknowledgment before turning to Eren. "Well, trainee Jaeger?" Eren raised his gaze to meet Dots, confusion flowing through his eyes. "Can you seal that hole?" Dot asked, his voice carrying a weight of expectation.

Eren hesitated, grappling with the enormity of the task before him. "Well... Well... I don't know. I don't know much more than everyone else here does. So... whether I can do it or not, I can't answer for sure when I don't know."

"That's true, I'm sorry. It seems I asked the wrong question. Will you do it? or won't you?" Dot pressed, his gaze unwavering.

Eren's resolve hardened as he made his decision. "I'll do it. I don't know whether I can seal the hole... But I'll do it!"

Flying through the city towards the boulder, Izuku couldn't help but feel a sense of apprehension as they approached their objective. However, his optimism was quickly dashed as Eren transformed almost immediately upon reaching the boulder.

"Yeesh, I thought he would have chosen a bigger form to lift that thing. Maybe he has less control over his size than I thought," Izuku remarked, his voice tinged with concern as he observed Eren's transformation.

As Eren turned towards Mikasa, Izuku's heart skipped a beat, his instincts kicking into overdrive as he realized the danger she was in. Reacting swiftly, he propelled himself towards her, shoving her out of harm's way just in time to avoid Eren's powerful punch. But ever the moron Mikasa throws herself towards Eren hanging off his hair, directly in his view.

"Eren! Don't you recognize me? I'm Mikasa! Part of your family! You have to seal the hole with that rock!" Mikasa pleaded, her voice filled with desperation as she clung to Eren's titan form.

"My lord, how stupid can you be?" Izuku muttered under his breath, his exasperation evident as he swooped in to grab Mikasa and remove her from harm's way once again.

“Why’d the plan go belly up?!” Armin's desperation echoed in the air, Izuku's frustration bubbled to the surface. He quickly turned around to spot Armin standing precariously on Eren's nape, poised to strike.

"Get away from him, kid! He already lost control once, and he could wake up at any moment! I don’t need to worry about you getting yourself killed on top of that!" Izuku's voice rang out, sharp with urgency as he sought to protect his comrades from further danger.

“So why is he just lying here!” Armin calls desperation seeping into his voice.

"Change of plan! All we can do now is protect him while he wakes himself up! So get yourself out of there!" Izuku's command was firm, his tone leaving no room for argument as he urged Armin to prioritize their safety over the mission.

But before Izuku could intervene further, Armin was driving his sword towards Eren's nape in a desperate attempt to rouse him from his stupor.

"Bloody—" Izuku's exasperation was cut short by the sudden outburst from Eren, his scream reverberating through the air.

"What is wrong with you lot?!" Izuku's voice rose above the chaos, a mixture of frustration and concern evident as he directed his companions to keep watch over Mikasa while he descended to confront Armin.

"You've got to pull it together, Eren! If you stay like this, we're all going to die! Fight it! You're Eren Jaeger! Come on, wake up!" Izuku's words were a desperate plea, filled with urgency as he tried to reach his friend amidst the chaos.

With a heavy sigh, Izuku lifted Armin over his shoulder, his resolve unwavering despite the chaos unfolding around them.

"It's not safe here! We'll give him five more minutes. If he doesn’t get up by then, we retreat back to the wall. I won’t lose any more men for this," Izuku declared, his gaze fixed on Eren as he silently prayed for a miracle.

Chapter Text

Izuku was flying through the city, going from battle to battle. Both saving other recruits and ensuring the unconscious Erens safety. With each maneuver, he danced around the monstrous titans, dodging their swipes and lunges with practiced ease. His eyes remained focused on his task, while his mind was constantly assessing the situation and coming up with his next move., only stopping when he is faced with their death, unable to reach them in time, but with each death his moves become only deadlier.

Spotting a small group of titans congregating around a cluster of buildings, Izuku swoops down, dual blades effortlessly slicing through each of their flesh with deadly accuracy.

As he fought his mind raced with each scream and cry he heard. The sound of his comrades is a constant reminder of their situation. However a distant rumble could be felt, Izuku looks over his shoulder momentarily only to spot the boulder (their goal) moving. “‘Bout bloody time” Izuku mumbles, dispatching another titan before turning back to make his way over to Eren.

As Izuku approached Eren, his heart pounded in his chest, the adrenaline coursing through his veins as he heard the urgent cries of his fellow soldiers. The looming threat of Titans closing in only fueled his determination to protect his comrades and secure their victory.

“Mikasa! You handle the 13, the rest of you with me, we’ll handle the 10s’!” Izuku's voice cut through the chaos, his command firm and decisive.

Bounding across the rooftops with practiced precision, Izuku and his team closed in on the approaching Titans. The cityscape blurred around them as they leaped from building to building, their movements a symphony of agility and coordination.

Despite the danger that surrounded them, Izuku remained calm and focused, his mind racing with strategies to outmaneuver their formidable foes. With each step, he calculated the best approach, always staying one step ahead of the Titans' relentless advance.

As they closed in on the Titans, Izuku felt the familiar weight of his blades in his hands, the metal gleaming in the sunlight as he prepared for battle. With a swift motion, he unsheathed his weapons, the sound of steel ringing out in the air.

With each encounter, Izuku moved with fluid grace, evading the Titans' attacks with agile movements. His blades danced through the air, striking with deadly accuracy as he targeted their weak spots. Every swing was calculated, every strike aimed to incapacitate the enemy.

But amidst the chaos of battle, Izuku couldn't ignore the grim reality of their situation. With each fallen comrade, the weight of their losses grew heavier, a constant reminder of the stakes they faced. The Titans were relentless, their numbers seemingly endless, and every moment brought them closer to the brink of defeat.

Despite the odds stacked against them, Izuku pressed on, his determination unwavering as he fought to secure their victory. With each Titan he dispatched, he felt a surge of adrenaline, a glimmer of hope amidst the chaos.

And finally, after what felt like an eternity of struggle, Eren succeeded in blocking the gate with the massive boulder. As steam billowed from Eren's Titan form and exhaustion washed over them all.

Izuku, Mikasa, and Armin landed atop Eren's Titan form.

“I can’t get him out! He’s fused with the Titan!” Armin's voice rang out, filled with desperation.

Izuku just rolled his eyes sighing exasperatedly “just cut the tissue?” he suggested, his tone laced with impatience. Surely, it couldn't be that complicated, he thought to himself, frustration simmering beneath the surface.

Mikasa's sharp intake of breath drew Izuku's attention, her concern mirroring his own. “That’d hurt him though!” she protested, her voice tinged with worry.

Izuku's brow furrowed in disbelief, incredulous that such a simple solution could be met with hesitation. “Didn't you stab him earlier, Armin? How is this much different?” he retorted, his frustration seeping into his words.

But before they could debate further, another Titan lunged towards them, its massive arm swinging dangerously close. Izuku's instincts kicked in, and he narrowly dodged the attack, his heart pounding in his chest.

“They don’t give up, do they?” he muttered, his eyes flicking towards the relentless onslaught of Titans. But just as he prepared to reengage in the battle, the Titan before them collapsed, its massive form crashing to the ground.

Izuku's eyes widened in surprise as he recognized the precision of the slashes that had felled the Titan. “Levi, surprised you even decided to show,” he remarked, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips as he looked up to where Levi stood atop the Titan's back.

Levi returned Izuku's smile with a smirk of his own before turning his attention to the scene unfolding before them. “Well, I couldn’t let you have all the fun,” he quipped, his gaze narrowing as he observed the situation below.

But then, his gaze landed on Eren, who was being pulled from his Titan form, and his expression turned serious. “Care to explain that?” he demanded, his voice laced with suspicion.

Chapter Text

Izuku stood in the hallway, his shoulders shaking with suppressed laughter as he tried to stifle the urge to burst out laughing. Levi and Erwin sat beside him, their expressions stoic as they waited for the unconscious Eren to awaken.

“What's with the silence? It's killing me!” Izuku complained through his laughter, unable to contain his amusement.

Levi shot him a smirk, his eyes glinting with amusement. “That's the point,” he replied dryly, a hint of amusement in his tone. “But seriously, quiet down.”

Izuku rolled his eyes, wiping tears of laughter from his eyes. “Why? Is it ruining the atmosphere you're trying to set?” he teased, unable to resist poking fun at the serious demeanor of his companions.

Erwin interjected, his tone firm as he tried to maintain order in the situation. “Would you two stop?” he chided, shooting a warning glance at Izuku and Levi.

Izuku shot Erwin a playful glare, pointing an accusatory finger in his direction. “Oh, so this was your idea!” he accused, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

As the trio bantered back and forth, a sudden sound interrupted their conversation. They looked up to see Eren awakening on the other side of the bars, his eyes widening as he realized he was chained to the bed.

“Well, look who's finally awake,” Levi remarked dryly, shooting Izuku a pointed look that clearly communicated his annoyance at the earlier disruption.

Erwin's monotone voice cut through the tension as he posed the question to Eren, whose eyes widened in surprise upon seeing Erwin and Levi. "Um… Where… am I?" Eren's voice was hesitant, confusion evident in his tone.

"You're in an underground jail cell. The Military Police have you in restrained custody. We have only recently gained permission to speak with you," Erwin explained, producing a key that had been extracted from Eren while he was unconscious.

Eren reached for the key around his neck, but hesitated before grabbing it, his brow furrowing in confusion. "My key…"

Erwin continued, unfazed by Eren's reaction. "Is something we will speak about in a moment. Izuku here," he gestured towards Izuku, "is going to ask you some questions. Don't worry if they do or do not make any sense, just answer honestly." Eren nodded silently, still processing his surroundings.

Izuku wasted no time in getting to the point, eager to wrap up the conversation. "I'll just cut to the chase since I don't really want to be here. Do you know what quirks are?" he asked bluntly.

Eren fell silent for a moment, processing the question. "Meta abilities? Superpowers?" Izuku elaborated.

Eren's confusion deepened. "Like transforming into a titan because apparently I can do that," he replied, his voice tinged with uncertainty.

Izuku sighed inwardly. "I was thinking more along the lines of flight, fire-breathing, telekinesis…"

"That exists?" Eren interjected, his eyes widening in surprise.

"So, that's a no. Cool, I'll be off then," Izuku remarked casually as he turned to leave, making his way towards the door. "Have fun," he added, a hint of sarcasm lacing his tone.

Levi couldn't help but roll his eyes at Izuku's antics. "Screw off already," he muttered, shaking his head in exasperation.

"Right then... Let's talk about home, Eren," Erwin said.

Chapter Text

The courtroom fell into a sudden hush as the heavy doors swung open, admitting Eren, flanked by two stern-faced guards. As he was led to the center of the room, Eren was forced to kneel, his hands cuffed together and secured beneath a heavy pole, a precaution that Izuku found unnecessary given Eren's Titan abilities. The judge entered, his presence commanding attention, and the trial officially commenced.

"Eren Jaeger, correct? You are a soldier who offered his life for mankind," the judge began, his voice carrying weight. Eren nodded in affirmation, his expression tense with anticipation. "Due to your unique circumstances, the law doesn't apply to you in this case. That means that what will happen to you is ultimately up to me to decide. We shall also decide whether or not you shall live or die."

There was a moment of palpable tension before the judge continued, "As expected, keeping your presence out of the public eye is impossible. So unless we declare your existence in some manner, we may be faced with another problem aside from the Titans. During this trial, we shall determine which military faction will have custody of you. Now, why don't we start with the Military Police's opening statement?"

"Your honour, as Commander of the Military Police Brigade, I, Nile Dawk, propose: That after conducting a thorough examination of Eren's body, we dispose of him promptly," Nile stated with authority. "While it cannot be denied that his Titan power is useful, it is ultimately too dangerous to keep him around. He could easily turn against us, and his existence is also a source of discord that could incite rebellion. Therefore, after having him impart all of his information, he will die as a hero of mankind."

“Alright, and the Survey corps?”

"As the Thirteenth Commander of the Survey Corps, I, Erwin Smith—" Erwin began, only to be interrupted by Izuku's whispered remark. "Since when did he get promoted?" Izuku whispered to Levi, who shot him a side-eye. "You're kidding, right?" Levi retorted sotto voce as Erwin continued his proposal.

"-propose: That the Survey Corps will accept Eren as an official member and use his Titan power to recapture Wall Maria. That is it," Erwin concluded, his tone concise and resolute.

"That's it?" the judge echoed, clearly surprised by the brevity of Erwin's proposal.

"Yes," Erwin affirmed. "If we utilize his power, we can recapture Wall Maria. I believe that it's clear what should be prioritized."

“On that note, how do you intend to go about this? If I recall correctly, Dot. The gate from Trost is completely sealed shut”

“That is correct your honor, I suspect that it will never be opened again” Dot confirms.

"We intend to go through Karanese District in the east instead. From there, we'll head to Shiganshina District" Erwin continued, addressing the judge's inquiry.

As Erwin outlined their strategy, murmurs and objections arose among the audience members. Some argued vehemently for the complete sealing of all the walls, citing the destruction caused by the Titans. Others countered, emphasizing the necessity of maintaining access routes for future operations.

The courtroom buzzed with conflicting opinions and heated exchanges, reflecting the profound uncertainty surrounding their future course of action. Despite the cacophony of voices, Erwin remained composed, his gaze steady as he awaited the judge's response.

"Enough!" the judge finally interjected, directing his attention to Eren. "Can you continue to contribute to mankind as you have thus far?"

"Of course!" Eren responded promptly, his determination evident in his voice.

However, the judge proceeded to cite the incident report from Trost, highlighting a concerning detail. "But in the Trost incident report," he read aloud, "it said, 'After transforming into a Titan, he swung his fist at Mikasa Ackerman and seems to have no recollection of this happening in his Titan form.'"

As Mikasa shot Izuku a sidelong glance, the judge's gaze swept over the courtroom, awaiting a response.

"What? You expect me to lie in a report?" Izuku muttered toward Mikasa, his frustration evident. "We need to determine his actual risk factor, not what you want it to be."

Mikasa's response was curt. "It would have been better if you did."

“Is Mikasa Ackerman here?” the Judge says, interrupting the small spat.

“Yes that's me” Mikasa announces, raising her hand, directing her attention to the Judge.

“Is what said in this report true?” He questions.

“Yes, it is, however in this titan form we saw him fighting against titans as well, I pray you take these facts into consideration as well.”

“Objection! I believe her testimony contains too much bias to be considered. She lost her parents at a young age and was taken in by the Jaeger family! At the age of 9, it was found that they had stabbed and killed 3 men. I feel as though their basic human nature is questioned!”

“Then she must be a titan too!”

Chapter 15

Summary:

The court trial is decided

Notes:

Hello Everyone!
Sorry for the long wait for the update, I just found writing this chapter hard (seeing as I havent watched AOT in a long time, so I had to rewatch the episode as I was writing)

Also if the characters are a bit off sorry, I haven't written at all since the last chapter and don't exactly remember how they were meant to act. Same goes for the writing style, since it has been a while.

Chapter Text

“Wait a minute! Maybe I am a monster that you want dead! But leave her out of this! She had nothing to do with this!” Eren yells.

“As if we could believe you!”

“It's a fact!”

“You're defending her! She must be one of you!”

“Shut it! You’re wrong. About it all” Eren yells once again.

Izuku lets out a low whistle leaning over to Mikasa, “he's got a good set of lungs I’ll say. He ever shut up?” He asks, only to be met with a cold set of eyes, “yeesh okay, I was just asking. I don’t exactly want to be bunking with him if that's the case.”

“There's no sense in having power, if you're not going to use it to fight. If you are all too scared to fight then fine. Let me fight instead since you’re all cowards! Just shut up! And put all your faith in me!” Eren yells, silencing the room.

Izuku can feel Levi looking at him, so he raises his hands in a “hey I’m not touching that with a 20 foot pole” way. Thankfully, Levi takes the hint, sighing and moving towards the floor.

“Take aim, god dammit!” a Nile shouts to another, who quickly raises his rifle to point at Eren. However, before the man gets to fire the gun, Levi quickly kicks Eren, surprising everyone in the audience. He kicks again, and again, and again, giving Eren a proper beatdown, and quite the show for the rest.

“Mikasa, wait!” Izuku hears Armin whisper shout, He smirks looking over to see Armin holding Mikasa back. Seems as though some aren’t enjoying this as much as Izuku is.

“You know, personally” Levi says, grabbing Izuku's attention once again, “I think nothing instills discipline like pain. You don’t need a ‘good talking to’, what you need is to be taught a lesson. And you happen to be in the perfect kicking position.” True to his word, Levi continues his beatdown, though he seems to think of it as a lesson.

“N-Now hold on Levi” Nile says.

“What do you want?” Levi replies

“That’s dangerous. What if it gets angry and turns into a Titan?” Nile tries to persuade, though Levi replies with another kick.

“Don’t be silly. After all, you guys just want to dissect him, don’t you? They say that while he was transformed, Jaeger was able to kill 20 Titans before he ran out of strength. As an enemy his intelligence makes him all the more dangerous. But I can still take him down no problem. Could you all say the same? Before you torment him, and try to dissect him, try and think if you could actually kill him?”

“Sir, I have a proposition.” Erwin says, raising his hand, waiting for the judge's acknowledgement. “I can admit that there is still too much we don’t know about Jaeger and his abilities, thus his danger will always be. As such, I suggest that Eren Jaeger be placed under Captain Levis supervision. And we will conduct a reconnaissance mission outside of the wall.”

“Jaeger will join you on this excursion?”

“Yes, Sir. Then you can look upon the mission’s results yourself. Should he successfully control his ability, he will have proven his value to mankind.”

“Jaeger will be closely supervised? And if he should lose control?”

“I can definitely kill him, should it come to that. Downside is that there is absolutely no middle ground.”

“Sir, If I may?” Izuku raises his hand.

“Yes, what seems to be the issue?”

“I was on site when Eren emerged from his Titan form. I believe that there is in fact a middle ground. I saw him appear from the Titan form's nape. So in theory, if we were to cut out the nape, or around instead of slashing it, that would allow us to extract Eren from the titan form.”

“And if you were to extract him. What would stop him from transforming again?”

“Both times that he was extracted from his Titan form, he was unconscious. While I feel as though he may grow to overcome this side effect, I find it likely that transforming takes a lot of energy and that quickly transforming would be an extremely rare occurrence. And if he should, we can always resort to killing, but It will give us a middle ground.”

“Hmmm….. Then I have made my choice.”

“Well that went better than I expected. Does that hurt?” Hange asks patting a antiseptic ball onto Erens injuries.

“Yeah…” Eren mumbles holding a napkin up to his face.

“Really! Describe it to me!” Hange says excitedly.

“Sorry for all those theatrics. However it did get you into our custody” Erwin supplies.

“No, No, I understand”

“I can assure you that the pain was well worth it. We played our trump card at the perfect time.” Erwin says, walking over to Eren and crouching down in front of him, holding out a hand “welcome to the team Eren.”

“Oh, I’m glad to be here, Sir!” Eren says, shaking Erwins hand.

“So, Eren. You don’t resent me for doing what I did, do you?”

“What? Of course not Captain Levi! I can see that what you did was necessary”

“Good, so you understand.” Levi replies.

“Still, don’t you think you went a bit too far? I mean you knocked his tooth out!” Hange argues pulling out Erens wrapped up tooth.

“Gross, you picked it up?”

“Just be glad that people aren't dissecting you here, Eren,” Izuku says. “Instead you only have to deal with Hange, and I taking notes and asking you to do stuff.”

“Ew, don’t you dare compare us with them, Izuku! We would never dream of killing him. Hey Eren, Let me have a look inside that mouth of yours would you.” Hange asks. Eren hesitantly opens his mouth for her to take a look. “Oh, your tooth grew back. Izuku do you-”

“Titans regrow limbs all the time, why are you so surprised that a tooth regrew?”
