Chapter 1: Rendezvous Part 1
Chapter Text
With one final confirmation Bees comlink shuts off with a bleep. He picks up speed disregarding human traffic laws for now. Having dropped off Raf hours prior, Bee is all alone. His only companion is the bright light of Earths lunar star.
Though small and lonely compared to Cybertron’s many moons, Earth’s follows him accompanying Bee on his endeavor. Said endeavor that shouldn’t be happening, is extremely dangerous, and should have ended stellar cycles ago.
Yet Bee finds himself along a familiar road leading to a memorized spot. Hidden by tress and many other types of greenery. So well hidden that a Cybertronian could transform and stretch out without being noticed by humans.
A spot that Bee has come to enjoy and has kept to himself. Not even the rest of the team know of this particular spot. And for now the bot would like to keep it that way, especially tonight…
“Surely you can take spike better than this bug?”
With each word Barricade slowed down until he was lazily pumping his spike in and out, and with each reentry he hit every single node in Bumblebee’s dripping valve. Bumblebee whined from the slow intrusions his valve gripping onto Barricade’s spike.
Barricade groaned from the action and released Bees servos.
“Now be a good scout, and get back into position.” Bee knew that Barricade wasn’t asking as he huffed.
With some readjusting Bee placed his chest plate back onto the ground and raised his aft as high as he could. Bee placed his helm onto his arms hoping that would make it easier.
Once Bee was done Barricade grabbed him roughly by the hips bringing Bee closer to his spike. Barricade then hunched over Bee completely. The moonlight being blocked out by Barricades frame. Barricade nuzzled and licked at Bees neck cables. Being careful to not puncture any with his sharp denta.
Barricade continued like this for a moment. Bee would never admit it but he enjoyed it when Barricade was more gentle with him. But only for a moment because Bee knew what was going to happen next. Barricade always takes a moment to be sweet to Bee so he can switch on him at the last minute.
Barricade was going to be merciless especially since Bee moved around so much in the beginning. To be quite frank Barricade was going to, what the humans say “fuck the shit” out of Bee. But that part is actually Bee’s favorite…

Summary:
The aftermath of Bumblebee’s and Barricade’s “meeting”
Chapter Text
Bee attempts futility to reach his doorwings hoping to remove whatever sticks and foliage have gotten caught in them. Of course Barricade was proving to be no help in the matter, if his snorts were anything to go by.
*Whats so funny?*
Bee sends over between his and Barricade’s private comm chat.
Barricade smirks at the query blinking on his hud. His multi colored optics look Bee’s frame up and down.
“I think I’ve outdone myself tonight, you look like shit.”
Barricade couldn’t hide his enjoyment if he even tried. He takes pride in his ability to make the autobot scout come undone.
Bee’s optics swivel down a size showing his growing agitation with the comment. But bee couldn’t disagree because if he looked anything like he felt then it must be true.
Bee could see the paint transfers on his thigh plates. His yellow usual yellow being outshined by the various smears of black and white. There were scratches and derma marks all over his frame. And if Bee couldn’t see them he could sure enough feel them.
*It’s not funny!*
Bee got up abruptly to give Cade a piece of his processor and immediately regretted it.
*And why do you always overload inside!*
Bee’s frame crawled as a mixture of his Barricade’s fluids dripped down his legs.
Barricade let out a hearty laugh at Bees discomfort. He gets up from his spot and strolls over to Bee. The movement disrupts several woodland creatures causing them to scurry in fear.
“ Because it’s more fun that way! Plus you only complain after the fact.”
Barricade then embraced Bee from behind pulling their frames together. He dips down placing his derma by bees right Audio receptor.
“You know you love it Bee.”
Bees processor felt like mush and he could just melt right then and there. Barricades hold is firm and his chest plates emit a comforting warmth against Bees doorwings. For a microsecond Bee could say he felt, peaceful. A feeling that doesn’t come around very often. And when it does he wants to hold on to it for as long as he can.
And Bee would have held on longer if he hadn’t realized what Barricade had just called him. A sharp tone erupts from Bee voice receptor as he whips around and pushes Barricade away from him. Barricade looks perplexed by Bees sudden mood change as if he doesn’t know what he did wrong.
*Don’t look at me like that. You only use my designation when you want to go at it again.*
Barricade rolls his optics as a snarl adorns his faceplates.
“Must you always ruin the moment?
The decepticon shoves past Bee entering even deeper into the forest.
Now it was Bees turn to look confused.
*What moment? We meet, frag, and go back to our bases. How is that a “moment”?*
Though it was nearing time for Bee to head back to said base he found himself following Barricade. Maybe it was the tone of Barricade’s voice or the subject of the conversation but something made Bee want to continue. These “meetings” usually didn’t have so much discussion…
Notes:
There is a part 3 in the works plus we already have a holiday special coming soon! What do you guys think these two are going to talk about? I wanna know because I’m still trying to figure that out myself..
If there’s any mistakes I usually see them after the fact, so from time to time I’ll go back and fix things.
Chapter 4: Rendezvous Part 3
Summary:
Part 3 of Rendezvous
Chapter Text
Barricade plopped down on some grass. Uncaring of how he disrupted a flock of birds that took flight after he sat. In front him was a pond, those small green amphibians filling the forest with their song.
Barricades frame was heated and he couldn’t stop his denta from grinding against each other. Barricade flexed his servos his talons covered in familiar yellow paint. The bug made him so fragging angry and he couldn’t understand why.
He hated the yellow goody autobot scout. Barricade hated how those large blue optics completely focused on him. Or how those thick thighs wrapped around his waist. But what Barricade hated absolutely the most is when their frames are pressed together, Barricade could feel the thrum of both their sparks and they were always in tandem.
Barricade wondered if Bumblebee felt it too. The thought caused more anger to pump through his lines. With a snarl Barricade picked up the closest thing to him which happened to be (by human terms) a boulder. With a flick of him arm Barricade launched the boulder into the pond. The amphibians became dead silent.
The autobot to blame for his demise had followed Barricade to the pond. For a beat it was quiet but Barricade could feel Bumblebee’s gaze on the back of his helm. There was some shuffling and then Bumblebee sat down, leaving space between the two of them. Bumblebee starts to scratch at a spot on his arm, the area gray from constant contact. A nervous tick that even Barricade has scolded him about. Barricade doesn’t say anything though, finding it hard to care at the moment. The air is thick with tension as neither cybertronian knew what to say to the other.
From the side Barricade sees Bumblebee is still scratching that spot. His blue optics have a distant look to them, unaware of the damage Bee is causing to his own frame. Barricade off lines his optics as he lets out a low growl. Suddenly he snatches Bumblebees servo finally stopping the constant scratching. Tension leaves Bee’s frame as he finally stops.
*”Sorry”*
Barricade releases Bee’s servo rolling his optics and returning back to silence.
Air releases from Bumblebee’s frame, the cybertronian’s equivalent of a sigh. Deciding that if Barricade wouldn’t speak then he would.
*”We should have stopped doing this eons ago but we keep coming back. And it’s been the same thing every time.*
Bumblebee pauses trying to collect his next few words.
*”But lately, at least the last couple times something has changed. I felt it and I know you felt it too but we can’t.”*
As Bumblebee spoke he moved closer to Barricade. Now their servos were almost touching but Barricade never pulled away.
It was silent again and Bumblebee was ready to just give up and head back to base. At least he had made an attempt to ease the tension. Even if it was pointless.
“If it weren’t for this war I think we would have looked good together.”
Bumblebee visibly perks up having given up hope of a response from the the con. His optics spin as Bee processes what Barricade had said. He had no idea that Barricade even imagined something more with Bee. Bumblebee assumed and accepted that Barricade just wanted to indulge in interfacing with no strings attached. Ever since their first battle there was always something the drew Bumblebee to Barricade. But their opposite factions kept Bumblebee from truly thinking about it. Already taking a risk with meeting with the decepticon for all these years. Bumblebee was scared of the repercussions of his relationship with Barricade. But the thought of losing Barricade and never seeing him again made Bumblebees spark burn something fierce. The thought made him physically ill. Primus Bumblebee was in way too deep.
While Bumblebee was stuck in thought the amphibians had made their return. Barricade found he preferred their obnoxious sounds. Barricade then hears a click, curious he looks up but as soon as he does he feels lips on his own. Scarred and warm but Bee’s lips feel perfect to him. For the amount of times that the two have hooked up, this is a first.
Barricade swipes his glossa over Bees bottom lip and nips with his denta. Bumblebee groans in response and grabs Barricades helm deepening the kiss. Barricade can tell that Bumblebee is inexperienced in this field but doesn’t mind. Just something else that he won’t let Bee live down. It’s not until Barricade hooks him up into his lap that Bumblebee pulls away. A string of fluid keeps them connected but both know it’s time to go…

Chapter Text
As a decepticon Barricade found himself in many compromising situations. To be honest being a Decepticon felt like a compromising situation in its own. But this time Barricade has mixed feelings about his current situation.
Barricade’s plan was simple detain the mech and use him as leverage against the autobots. But somehow said autobot got the jump on him. They fought but the yellow bot slammed Barricade against the pavement. Distress messages flooded Barricade’s hud blurring his vision. Next thing he knew there was weight pressed against his frame holding Barricade in place.
Cade could feel the heat of a canon against his chassis. Seconds ticked by but the blast never came. And if anyone asks Barricade how his spike ended up in this autobots valve he wouldn’t have an answer. But Barricade has yet to complain.
“This angle never gets old!”
Bumblebee narrowed his optics but his hips never stopped moving. They moved with earnest the autobot was chasing his own release. If Barricade was being honest, lately their “fights” have been resulting into frags. Before it was every once in a blue moon back on Cybertron. But here on Earth things are different.
Barricade suspects internal conflicts in their respected factions are to blame. Barricade did anything he could to get away from his faction for longer periods of time. Patrolling and antagonizing the pests of this planet occupying said time.
When fighting the yellow bot has become more aggressive, distracted, and full of charge. Barricade could just take advantage of the bug’s current vulnerability and bring back his lifeless husk as a trophy. But where would be the fun in that?
Bee held himself up by placing his servos on the ground by Barricades helm. But when Barricade lifted his hips hitting a jumble of nerves at the top of Bee’s chamber the yellow bot threw his helm back using Barricade’s chassis as support . With Bee distracted Barricade decides to make his move. He throws his arms around Bee’s middle dragging him down so they’re chassis to chassis and he grazes bee’s audio receptor with sharp denta. The bot makes a startled sound as Barricade places a clawed servo behind his helm and the other on a doorwing.
Before Bee can argue, Barricade places his pedes on the ground and lifts his aft up in one swift motion. Whatever complaint bee was about to make is interrupted by the high pitched sound that releases from his damaged vocalizer. Up until now Bee was doing all the work and Barricade was just enjoying the show. But knowing Bee was close to coming undone Barricade decided to meet him halfway.
Similar to how Bee was riding him Barricade pulls out leaving just the tip of his spike inside before he slams his hips back up. He does this a few more times slowly but starts to pick up the pace. Bumblebee decides to wrap his arms around Barricade placing his servos against the cons doorwings. Barricade is vigorous in his movements not giving a bee even a second to catch his breath.
All Bee can feel is spike pounding into him, Barricade’s bioligths and ridges providing an interesting texture. Bumblebee knows that his chances of having to see Ratchet for pain completely unrelated to interfacing are high. But right now this is what Bee needs. The current state of the autobot base is less than ideal. On one servo it was great that more autobots are joining them on Earth ready to fight the good fight. But on the other servo there were a lot of “personalities” to put up with some of which didn’t get along with Bee, at all. Petty arguments were to be expected but straight up fist fights that Bee somehow found himself in the middle in, were not.
After being reprimanded and some time in the brig Bee decided that limiting time at the base was a must. Unfortunately for Bee he hasn’t been anywhere but the base. Sam and Mikayla have been spending more time there as well but Bee much more prefers the cramped garage at the Witwickity residence. So patrol was Bee’s only option for escape, but leaving one problem only led him to another. And said problem is causing Bee to violently overload. Different types of warnings pop up on Bumblebee’s hud as pleasure rips through him in waves.
His valve clenching around the con’s spike and frame rigid. Barricade follows right behind him, hot transfluid entering Bee’s reproduction chamber. Thank Primus Bumblebee asked for those blockers a couple upgrades ago. Bumblebee lets his frame settle against Barricade’s, his internal temperatures at an all time high. Bumblebee feels sluggish and can’t seem to separate himself from the con. His optics are offlined when he hears the rumble of Barricade’s laugh. The police car lifts up a bit leaning back against the ground. Even after all that there’s still a charge between the two mechs. Neither really ready to leave just yet.
“Another round brat? How about we put that glossa to work hmm?”
Instead of answering Bee sits back on his servos, lazily rolling his hips against Barricade. He slowly raises himself until Barricade’s spike slides out of his valve. The cold air makes both the mechs tremble. Bumblebee becomes still, an erect spike twitching between the two. Bee stares at the dual opticed decepticon as if deciding whether not he was going to leave him there high and dry. Barricade knowing that Bee will do exactly that, growled and laid back down. Servos behind his helm Barricade looked up at bee settle himself against the hard ground.
“Fine. You win.”

Chapter Text
“It’s a holiday where humans express their love and devotion to one another.”
Bumblebee explained getting up from the grass. Once he stood at full height Bee reached his servos to the sky back struts popping from the movement.
“And you’re telling me this why?”
Barricade didn’t look at Bee instead he stayed sprawled out on the ground, dual optics taking interest in the blue sky.
Suddenly Bee came into Barricade’s field of vision. His arms were crossed and even without a mouth Bee’s face just screamed annoyed.
“Because it’s sweet and I like the idea of it.” Bee then jumped on top of Cade causing the Decepticon to groan from the sudden weight. The sound made Bee laugh loving to catching his mate off guard.
“You’re heavy, you know that right? Barricade shifted getting more comfortable but he didn’t attempt to move Bee off of him.
“So what exactly does this Valentine’s Day entail?”

Chapter Text
“W-wait, Barricade fuck, fuck, a-ah!”
Bumblebee couldn’t stop the motion in his hips. No matter how or where he moved Bumblebee couldn’t stop the overwhelming pleasure he was feeling in his lower half. Bumblebee threw his helm back against the wall his back arching sharply.
“No denta, no denta!”
Bumblebee couldn’t help but grab Barricade’s helm from the sudden feeling of the sharp denta on his node.
“Oh come on” Barricade grunts releasing the node with a wet pop. Before Barricade moves on though he gives an apologetic lick. He moved his helm upwards taking interest in the aching spike leaking pre fluid.
“You know you love it when I use my denta.”
Before Bumblebee could argue Barricade swallowed the scouts spike in one fluid motion. Bumblebee’s optical feed went white his poor systems trying to make sense of the pleasure the bot was feeling.
Bumblebee released Barricade’s helm instead grasping the berth underneath him. Barricade bobbed his helm, his glossa almost wrapping around Bee’s spike. Though he loves to tease his bot Barricade decided to be nice and not graze the spike. Bumblebee may complain but Barricade knows the sting of sharpness mixed in with the pleasure of them fragging, drives Bumblebee crazy!
Barricade’s optics closed as he felt his own modesty panel slip away. He shivered when the cold air of the room reached his spike.
Rubbing his servos over Bee’s thighs reveals to Barricade that his autobot is dripping wet. Barricade releases Bee’s spike from his intake as he pushes a digit into the wet valve.
Bee clenching around the digit not expecting it to be placed there so suddenly.
The movement gives Barricade an idea. Suddenly Bumblebee feels two servos drag him towards the end of the berth.
“W-what are you-“
“Shhh trust me, you’re gonna like this!”
Once Bees aft was slightly off the berth Barricade grabbed the yellow bots legs and threw them over his shoulders. Barricade climbed up pushing their frames together. Bumblebee’s frame is pretty damn flexible for someone made out of metal.
Once Barricade settled Bumblebee expected the ex con to insert his spike and frag him to overload. But Barricade actually gave Bee’s spike a few pumps with his servo. He then proceeded to tap Bee’s mouth plate with two digits, asking for entry. Unsure but curious about where this was going Bumblebee removed his mouth guard. His lips were scarred and torn yet Barricade never seemed to mind. Removing his mouth guard around Barricade was still new to Bee. But so far he hasn’t regretted showing off his entire face plate to Cade.
Once Bumblebee opened his mouth taking the two digits into his intake, he sucked thoroughly coating the digits in fluid. Satisfied Barricade removed his digits from Bee’s intake. While looking into his optics Barricade slowly pushed the two digits into Bee's dripping valve. As soon as he hit the hilt Barricade bent down once again taking Bee’s entire spike into his mouth. Every time the ex-con went to the base of Bumblebee’s spike the scout would clench around the intruding digits. Bumblebee locked his pedes behind Barricade’s helm as the con went to town on him.
Before Barricade arrived to the Earth base, Bumblebee could barely remember the last time he fragged. Back on Cybertron the majority of Autobots on base were already coupled up. The young scout couldn’t help but feel a bit lonely. And if someone was single they always considered Bee the “sparkling” of the base. And Primus help the few bots that wanted Bee for than training and favors.
His primary guardian was Optimus so that made Ironhide and Ratchet his secondary guardians by proxy. And they always found a way to scare off any potential mates for the yellow bot.
The worst encounter turning physical after Ironhide had found Bee and another Autobot in the scout's berthroom. Bumblebee had been on top straddling the mech who had already released his pressurized spike. Bumblebee hadn't even removed his cover before Ironhide burst into the room ready to kill. That led to a very long and embarrassing discussion about frames and interfacing. Oh and how did Ironhide know coincidently barge into the room you ask? Let's say a certain set of twins had something to do with it. The experience caused Bumblebee to hold off on officially losing his seals.
Until he met Barricade.

What’s the relationship between Barricade and Bee? Were they just friends with benefits, enemies with benefits, or maybe something more?? I wrote this while high so if you see any mistakes, my bad!

Chapter Text
“Remind me again where you got this from?”
Bee couldn’t help but ask as he sloshed the violet liquid around. The contents shimmered and tasted of smoke and of silicon. Now that he thinks about it he probably should have asked before he consumed concoction.
Barricade’s helm was tipped all the way back as he slammed down his share. When he came back up he casted a sidelong glance towards the bot.
“Trust me, it’s better if I don’t tell you. Just let it run its course.”
Barricade would have kept up with the joke if Bee didn’t look like he was ready to crush his spark with his bare servos. A low rumble escaped Barricade’s chassis as he stood up. He stumbled a bit as the effects of the mystery liquid reached his systems.
“Relax, it’s my own mix. Pretty damn good if I say so myself. Besides, if I wanted to poison you I would’ve done that shit eons ago.”
Bumblebee couldn’t deny that the taste of it was good. It went down easy and left a cool feeling on his gollasa. Bee let out a sound equivalent to a sigh as he took another sip. Barricade plopped down on the same old machinery that Bee was currently occupying. Dust covered every inch of the abandoned factory. There was a large hole in the ceiling that rainwater was currently entering through. And a large crack in one of the walls, because someone decided to throw him into it during a heated exchange!
Overall the place was a shithole that humans don’t even bother entering. Which made it another perfect spot for the two young cybertronians to meet at, like tonight.
“Don’t know why you’re acting like that. I know for a fact that what’s his name, uuh wideswipe?”
“Sideswipe.”
“Yeah that one. I know for a fact that he makes a mean batch of high grade. And I am more than certain that you’ve had a swig here and there.”
“The stuff Sideswipe makes is horrid. It goes down harshly and lays you flat out once it reaches your tanks. So yeah I’ve had my share but I didn’t say I enjoyed it”.
Though lacking a mouth Bumblebee was still able to grimace at the memory.
Everybot knew that if you seek out Sideswipe for his highgrade shit has really went downhill. It wasn’t the taste that made you go back for more, it was the numbness that followed it. Prowl has made plenty of attempts at stopping the production and consumption of that particular mix of highgrade. But when push came to shove that mix saved some bots. Bee personally can do without it but sometimes on particularly rough nights, the numbness is alluring.
“Well?” Lost in his own thoughts Bee almost didn’t hear Barricade, the keyword being almost.
“Well, what?” The con almost seemed surprised by the response but he shifted and he rolled his optics all the same.
“What do you think of the highgrade? Since you’ve become an expert all of a sudden.”
“I never said I was an expert.” Now it was Bee’s turn to roll his optics.
“But so far your mix is…decent.”
“Decent?”
“Yes, decent.
There was a pregnant pause between the two. Not uncomfortable at least but still a pause. Bumblebee has the slightest bit of highgrade left in his container so he decides to take it to the helm and finish it off. Barricade is a pain but at least he can make a nice batch of grade. Checking his internal hud Bee can see that it’s exactly 1:27 am and if he’s right the current humans on shift are going to be switching out soon. Not necessarily a big deal but Bee decides that he should probably head back to base.
“I think I’m going to purge.”
But then again Bee could also sit here and watch Barricade make an ass out of himself…
Unfortunately Barricade is able to hold down his highgrade better than the average cybertronian. But he still decided to sprawl out on the cold concrete letting his frame cool off. The rusted ceiling of the factory swayed into odd shapes and forms as his helm seemed to rattle. It’s one thing to get overcharged in the privacy of private quarters, it’s another thing to do it in front of others. Especially in front of the yellow bug who he now regrets inviting.
As soon as Barricade succumbed to the effects of the highgrade; the autobot made a high pitched sound replacing the actual sound of his laughter. And as annoyed as Barricade was, the sound alone made his processor spin. The decepticon had heard Bumblebee laugh countless times. Considering the bot’s friendly personality it was a common thing for him. The high pitched sound was familiar yet foreign at the same time.
Maybe because he remembers the actual sound of Bumblebee’s voice. Or maybe because he remembers the hurt he felt when he realized that he wouldn’t be able to hear that laugh again. Possibly even the rage that he couldn’t do anything to stop it. Barricade has many regrets, another consequence of war. But the one that seemed to haunt him the most was turning away ... .this damn highgrade. Always making him reminisce about things he can’t change.
Suddenly the con reached out to Bumblebee with his servo, optics still closed as he waited. Bumblebee’s head tilted slightly, unsure of what Barricade was intending. Sensing his hesitation, Barricade grunted as he made a grabby motion. Bumblebee let his optics cycle once before he decided to grab Barricade’s hand. As soon as their servos met Barricade pulled the autobot down, causing Bumblebee to land right on top of him. Before Bumblebee could escape, Barricade wrapped his arms across the bot’s middle keeping him in place.
“What are you doing?” Bumblebee squirmed as he attempted to get more comfortable rather than escape.
“My helm is killing me. Shut up.” Barricade tightened his hold but he did open up two of his optics to look at Bumblebee.
“You know I need to go right? I can’t stay here all night.”
“Doors open. Go right ahead.” Barricade replied smoothly, catching Bumblebee’s bluff.
.…Bumblebee exvented as he settled against Barricade, pressing his face against warm neck cables.
“Fine, you got any more of that highgrade?”

Chapter Text
“So are we both going to sit here and pretend that I don’t know what you’ve been doing?”
Ratchet finally asked pulling Bee’s door-wing with more force than necessary.
It was like all the energon in his body turned to ice. Bee’s doorwing still ached but it didn’t compare to the pure fear that entered his systems. Maybe he should pretend that he didn’t hear Ratchet? Or maybe the autobot should just make a run for it! He’s fast, he might be able to get a good distance away! No he shouldn’t, Bee is more than capable of having a logical conversation with the medic.
*I have no idea what you’re talking about?* Nailed it!
Bee’s wing finally locked into place with an audible click. Ratchet took one more look over his work before stepping back from the table. The autobot medic turned to his side and retrieved a cloth to wipe off his servos. Once clean Ratchet sauntered over into Bee’s field of vision. Ratchet stood over Bee who was still lying on the medical berth, finding his own servos to be oh so interesting. Ratchet crossed his arms annoyance written all over his faceplates.
Bee tried his best to look as innocent as possible. But once realizing that centuries old tactic wasn’t going to cut it Bee exvented and started pushing himself up into a sitting position.
*Ratche-*
“AH AH AH Bumblebee you of ALL bots should know better!”
Bumblebee sensing the rant of the millennium attempted to interject.
*We were fighting!*
Mission accomplished as Ratchet did take a pause. He uncrossed his arms to instead place them on his hips. The agitation just rolled off the medics red and white frame.
“Is that what you younglings are calling it these days? Pssh fighting my aft. More like, what’s that obscene word the humans use?
*Ratchet I really don’t want to talk about this.*
The things Bumblebee would do for a sinkhole to form right in this very room.
"If I remember correctly it corresponds with the letter F-"
*Ratchet I mean it!* Bumblebee exclaimed to the medic
That seemed to halt Ratchet's train of thought, bringing him back to the matter at hand. The medic pinched the ridge of his nonextinct nose and leaned against the med berth.
"Bumblebee, why? Jus-just help me understand why him? The sneaking around and lying sure can be thrilling for a moment but this has been going on much too long."
Though Bee was way out of his youngling years he couldn't help but feel like one at this very moment. There are only two bots who know of his and Barricade's "relationship" Ratchet being one and Jazz being the other. Both have kept the secret for eons now out of love for Bee which he greatly appreciates. But Jazz took his secret and a billion others to his grave, and Ratchet seems to still be trying to grasp an understanding.
*Ratch it isn't like that, we're simply....relieving stress?*
"By fragging each other's brains out?
*.......Yes. No. Maybe. Yes*
Ratchet rolled his optics and pushed off the berth.
"Bumblebee, that excuse is no longer adequate and I'm sick of hearing it!"
A cold chill washed over Bee's spark as he realized that Ratchet could expose him. Really the scout couldn't blame him considering how long this has been going on. It was supposed to be this one and done thing never to be spoken of again. But somehow it's snowballed into something confusing yet comforting.
When the Allsprak was launched Bee and Cade went their separate ways as both of their sides desperately tried to retrieve it. When the two saw each other that night on Earth for the first time in decades, everything fell right back into place. Bumblebee had promised Ratchet back on Cybertron that he and Barricade wouldn't see each other anymore, and clearly Bee has broken his promise.
*Are you going to tell?* Bumblebee gently asked.
It was said so low that ratchet almost didn't hear him. But once the words went through his processor Ratchet could feel the sadness and fear laced on every glyph. It made Ratchet feel like a real, what did the humans call it? Oh yes, an asshole. Sometimes the medic forgets how young Bumblebee is until moments like these happen. Of course he wants the scout to be happy but not at the expense of his safety.
Barricade is a Decepticon at the end of the day who's loyal to his leader. Bumblebee is an Autobot who's been brought up by Optimus Prime himself. How could the two possibly ever be happy together? But maybe this wasn't for Ratchet to decide, maybe this is when he has to trust Bee to make the right decision. Bumblebee isn't that sparkling they found all those years ago but a mech who has made a name for himself in this War. Of course he's still young and Ratchet's going to be on his case for the rest of Bumblebee's life, but for now he needs to trust him.
"No Bee, I'm not going to tell. Your secret is safe with me" Ratchet placed a hand on Bee's shoulder plate providing a firm squeeze.
"Besides, this isn't even the worst secret I've kept. Just, promise me you'll be careful?"
If Bee still had a mouth he would have the biggest smile on his faceplates.
*Thank you Ratchet!* Bumblebee then proceeded to jump off the berth and grab Ratchet, trapping him in the tightest hug.
Ratchet squirmed but let Bumblebee keep him in the hug. These humans sure are starting to rub off on the Cybertronians.
"What the hell are you two doing?"
So caught up in the moment Ratchet and Bee didn't hear Ironhide walking into the Medical wing; Holding the pedes of an offline Sideswipe as his twin brother Sunstreaker held up his upper end.
Ratchet removed himself from the hug, getting back into medic mode as he looked over Sideswipe. Bumblebee was also intrigued by the current scene.
"US? WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS ONE!"
Ironhide and Sunny dropped Sideswipe at his usual medical berth with a loud bang.
"Relax Ratch this is just the aftermath of another one of Side's stunts" Sunstreaker explained as he hopped up on an opposite berth.
Ratchet continued to yell as he started examining Sides and Ironhide tried his best to explain further. Bee watched for a bit longer before taking his cue to leave. He waved to Hide and Sunny which they both returned in their own way. As he walked the halls of the base making his way to HQ to retrieve this cycles orders, Bumblebee couldn't help but think.
After all this time, after all these years why were him and Barricade still doing this? Why did the thought of ending it once for all make him feel so "incomplete"? Maybe that wasn't the right word for it, maybe there was something more to this "relationship"?
For now though Bumblebee needs to focus on making this crowded base feel like home. Like Ratchet said the whole "relieving stress" bit can't go on forever, so it was time to face the music one bot at a time.
*Hey Cliffjumper can I borrow you for a sec!*
Hopefully Bee doesn't end up in the brig after this, again.

Chapter Text
“So he just surrendered? Just like that?”
The NEST soldier adjusted the assault rifle strapped across his body. Though he was supposed to appear stoic and ready for anything. He simply couldn’t keep the surprise off his face.
“I’m telling you! We got there ready to swarm his ass! But he ain’t attack or nothin just strolled on out real casual. Couldn’t believe my fucking eyes!”
The soldiers’ partner on the other hand was more than happy to get out of character. Bouncing around like a child on Christmas; he retold the story of how NEST received their latest recruit.
Ramos looked around the area nervously making sure no civilians or Autobots were in the vicinity. Once the coast was clear he visibly relaxed slightly lowering his weapon into a more comfortable position.
“But I just don’t get it, why would he surrender?” The two soldiers got closer to continue their recent gossip.
“I mean the rest are either still hiding or going down with a fight. So why the hell would this one just come willingly. Something ain’t adding up!”
As Ramos rattled through unanswered questions, Russo crossed his arms leaning back against the concrete wall. A fresh piece of gum fought against rows of straight pearly white teeth. Sure their chances of getting stepped had enhanced 110%, but damn the dental plan is killer!
“Who knows Ramos this might be the dawn of a new day!”
There was a pregnant pause between the two men. Seconds passed before they both erupted into full belly laughter. Holding onto each other for support, a tear even rolled down Russo’s cheek.
Ramos finally came back up for air clearing his throat with a cough. Russo was still giggling like a little school girl.
“Nah nah but seriously, like he’s a goddamn Decepticon!”
“Was.”
“Ok, WAS a Decepticon. But my point still stands, I mean even his name is worrying me! How am I supposed to trust a motherfucker named Barricade?
Ramos huffed gliding a hand over his freshly shaved head. He stood up straight getting back into his original position. Once Russo came back up for air he did the same.
“Alright tell it to me one more time, from the top.
Russo chuckled but obliged his fellow brother in arms.
“ Alright so boom, we get this tip that a Cybertronian was spotted zipping around New York. So We get some eyes over there and well well well, it’s ol Barricade. The second we identified em Ironhide was ready to fucking roll. They had been trying to get this dickhead for months!”
Ramos remembered quite a few briefings where the Decepticon’s name had come up. And every time it did certain bots couldn’t hold in their disdain for the mech. They would find him, engage, and yet he always got away. But not without obvious damage, so it was only a matter of time before another run in with Barricade; Would be the last.
“We get a team going and head out with Optimus and the rest of the bots. It took awhile but we were finally able to pinpoint his location. One thing about it, that motherfucker is fast and sneaky. But this time, luck wasn’t on his side. We get to this little creepy ass abandoned spot, sensors lit up like Christmas trees! And we start moving in, reeeeeaal slow……………………….”
“This is fucking ridiculous!” He gritted out denta grinding uncontrollably.
There’s energon flowing freely from a brand new wound on his side. The humans artillery was advancing, probably from all the Autobots help. Bullets that used to be a minor annoyance, were now tearing through armor and delicate protoform. Leaving Barricade in his current critical state. He attempted to apply pressure to the hole as his processor racked through 100s of escape plans.
But each one ended in deactivation. In this state he’ll never make it far enough to draw this out any longer. The Autobots were hunting down Decepticons and taking them out one by one. Due to hiding all coms were off to assure that no Bots were able to intercept and find them. But news of Decepticons succumbing to the servos of Autobots and Humans; made its way to him one way or the other.
This is not how Barricade thought his end would come. 2 out of 4 optics ruined, his HUD filled with error messages that blocked the view of his two remaking optics. Digits on his left servo bent and twisted into uncomfortable positions. His left pede would be better off entirely gone than the state it was in now. And this new whole on his side sparked and burn. What the fuck was Ironhide’s problem with him anyway?
His whole lifetime and not once has he ever felt so weak, so defeated, so alone.
His sensors picked up some of the Autobots that surrounded the area. A few familiar ones here there, with the rest being unknown. But the one he was looking for, the one he needed; was nowhere to be found.
Barricade hated the way his spark ached for that stupid bot.
“WE KNOW YOU’RE IN THERE YOU PUNK ASS DECEPTION! LETS MAKE THIS NICE AND EASY SHALL WE? EITHER YOU COME ON OUT, OR WE’RE COMING IN!”
Barricade could hear the hum of Ironhide’s cannon even over the whines of his own damaged frame.
He hissed as he adjusted himself on the ground. Barricade was going to die, that was gist of it. He could go with a fight or just pray to Primus that he succumbs to his injuries and offlines pathetically. The latter called to the con like a swan song. He was tired of fighting, tired of running. So if he was going to die he’d rather just shut his optics and let his spark fade.
More orders were yelled out from Autobots and humans alike. They were growing antsy as there was no movement coming from inside the abandoned port. All they needed was the signal and they would rush the Decepticon. N.E.S.T turned to Optimus Prime awaiting his order.
But what the leader did next surprised them.
“Optimus! What are you doing?” Ironhide attempted to step with the Prime; But a hand signal from Optimus stopped him in his tracks.
Optimus proceeded to step over the humans and made his way inside the port. He ducked down crouching his was through the port. No one dared to follow entrusting that their Prime was making the right choice.
Barricade heard loud pedes coming his way. I guess my peaceful end was just a dream. Barricade didn’t dare open his optics, he hoped this would be swift. But as seconds passed nothing happened. It was quiet, Barricade didn’t even hear a transformation sequence. Curious Barricade cracked open his optics making contact with his supposed murderer.
There he was, Optimus Prime. Crouched down on the ground staring at Barricade. It was as if he was waiting for something, but what?
“Well?”
“Well.”
Barricade suddenly remembered why he joined the Decepticons in the first place.
“Get it over wi-with. I’m i-n no mode to toy with you P-prime.” Barricade said using his leftover energy to spit out.
“I see that. Then I’ll make this quick. I can end this right here, right now. Or, you can come with me and join us. You are injured and we will help you. The choice is yours Barricade.”
“…..You’re kidding right?”
“I am not Barricade. I offered the same choices to your fellow Decepticons as well. They all made their choice, so now it is your turn. This war has taken so much from us, it is time to steer our way to a better future. But we cannot even begin if we continue to stay divided. Either way as one Cybertronian to another, I will respect whichever choice you make.”
Barricade never even considered this outcome. Joining the Autobots after all these centuries almost felt foolish. Him an Autobot? Seems unrealistic. How could he possibly join the enemy after all they’ve done to each other? What if Megatron comes back and sees how Barricade has betrayed him? What if all of this is just a ploy and the Autobots end up killing him anyway? What if-

{Wanna play

….Idiot. Absolute idiot, actually maybe even a moron. An overconfident, annoying, beautiful moron. Such a mundane request that more than anything, especially right now. Barricade could admit that he didn't have much to live for anymore. Planet destroyed, Allspark lost, and Megatron rotting away somewhere on this repulsive planet. Yet as his processor raced there was something that always took priority, even over the cons own wellbeing. Bumblebee. He'll never admit it, but he's staying. For Bumblebee and Bumblebee only. And whether or not the yellow Autoboot ever finds out didn't matter to him at all. Barricade refuses to die before that little glitch, especially like this.
And just like that the words jumped out his vocalizer before he even realized it.
“Y-yes. Yes I’ll go.”
Optimus reached out a servo to the former Decepticon. Barricade was still filled with doubt but something about grasping the Primes servo made him feel a way he hasn’t felt in millennia. What’s that thing they call it again? Oh yeah, hope.
……………
“So we came back to base with him in tow. Yo the bots were pissed! They wanted the smoke real bad but they couldn’t lay a finger on em! Optimus was helping him walk to Ratchet so he could get all fixed up. Everybody was shocked including me! The whole reason I went on that mission cause I thought I was gonna be kicking some Decepticon ass!”
Russo exclaimed stomping out a cigarette butt.
“That’s wild I wonder what made him make his decision. The rest of em just went down swinging.” Ramos was still having a hard time wrapping his head around a Decepticon becoming a not so honorary Autobot.
“Shit if I know. But hey we got Bee coming in next week with that kid and his girl! That means we can finally get in some Mech vs Man drills in!” Russo jumped around like a child in a candy store.
“I still don’t see why you get so excited about those drills?”
“Because Bee’s the only one who doesn’t threaten to step on us after.”
“…Good point.”
Suddenly a car drifted around the corner approaching the two soldiers at top speed. Both men gripped their weapons raising them ready for whatever.
“IDENTIFY YOURSELF!” Ramos roared out.
Just as the car seems like it was going to run over the men it stopped abruptly. As dust cleared the soildiers realized who it was. A police car still unfortunately adorned with the words Punish and Enslave on its side.
“WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YO-“
*Russo, Ramos report, over.*
Ramos still staring at the vehicle in front of him reached for his radio.
“Ramos Reporting Sir, over.”
*Need you two at the main Quadrant. Jolt is gonna take over your post for a bit. In the meantime Barricade is bringing you over, over.*
Ramos and Russo looked at each other dumbfounded. Russo mouthed the words “Hell no” to his partner.
Ramos rolled his eyes as he replied back on the radio.
“Roger that sir, over.”
As the conversation came to an end Barricade’s front doors sprung open.
“Let’s get over with, shall we?”
Though he tried to sound “nice” about it both soldiers felt their stomachs drop. The main quadrant was only 10 minutes away, even less when driving with a Cybertronian. But both men had a feeling that this was going to be a long and painful ride.
Notes:
One one hand you could be a Decepticon surrounded by Autobots and humans who hate your guts, with a situationship.
Or murder, you can be murdered.
Be honest which one would you decide?
Also the irony of chewing gum before smoking a cigarette is not lost on me

“Who?”
“HIM!”
Bumblebee’s optics blinked slowly as he attempted to process what Sari was saying.
“HIM BUMBLEBEE! THAT DECEPTICON! STANDING LITERALLY RIGHT BEHIND YOU!” Sari felt like she was on the verge of a heart attack with how fast it was beating in her chest!
She had never seen this con before and his calm stance set off all types of warnings. And instead of blasting him in his ugly mug Bumblebee was doing nothing!
Bumblebee’s helm swiveled over to the alarmingly tall con. He was black and white, with sharp denta and even sharper claws. His four optics looked at the young pair with a glimmer of amusement.
And once the two Cybertronians made eye contact, a sinister smirk grew on the tall mechs faceplates. He even raised one of his servos and gave a small wave.
Bumblebee turned back around to look at Sari.
“Ooh hah you meant him. That’s Barricade, he’s my Sparkmate.” Bumblebee explained nervously.
Sari became still. Now her turn to blink owlishly at her metal friend.
“…..I’m so telling!”
“WAIT DONT TELL SARI PLEEEEEEASE!”
Bumblebee begged on his knees and servos to the small organic girl.
“Why are you groveling to the squishy female thing?” Barricade asked genuinely confused.
His question made both Sari and Bee pause.
“WHO ARE YOU CALLING A-A A THING YOU, YOU, yooou…” Sari stuttered uncertain on how to offend the mech.
“Glitch, call him a glitch” Bumblebee whispered in Sari’s ear
“GLITCH!” Sari yelled pointing a tiny finger at the Decepticon.
It was quiet as the three of them stared at each other. But once Bee let out a snicker Sari followed. Until the two buster into laughter.
Barricade rolled his optics and stomped towards the two idiots who were rolling around on the ground at this point.
“Hey, what happened to the Sun?”
As Bumblebee looked up he came face to face to his Sparkmate towering over him…

Chapter Text
Theres a lot things one misses when they’re deployed. Certain luxuries must be given up and a strict routine is put in place. But these acts are not without purpose. You can adapt to the people and things around you. When one base you’re within a community with your fellow brothers and sisters in arms. You must be responsible, levelheaded, and relentless. Once you step onto a base you can’t help but change.
But there’s one thing that stays the same no matter where you go. Everybody wants to get their rocks off. Whether it’s with another soilder or on their own terms. Humans are horny little creatures, even the ones who hold the most authority. But humans have known that since the dawn of time, and accepted it. But one thing they couldn’t wrap their heads around was that Cybertronians can also get downright dirty!
Mainly between their own species but there have been some certain “incidents” with humans as well, if you wanna call them that. Thus a brand new section to the rules and regulations was born. Prowl, Red Alert, Ratchet, Optimus and an extensive human team worked diligently on the section to ensure that all relationships on base stayed professional.
And how did the rest of the base react? Well let’s just say inner conflicts were at an all time high. Tensions flared and ignited multiple times throughout the weeks. Honestly the base started to become unbearable for everyone who inhabited it. It was so bad that there was talk of possibly easing up on the new rules. But ultimately an extremely long speech curiosity of Prowl, put an end to all of that.
So what is exactly one to do when a higher authority tells you that you can’t do something. You do it anyway BUT in secret! And just to keep things interesting you may just make a game out of it. Thus the question “where’s the best place to frag on base without getting caught?”
Originally the humans on base came up with the game and gladly shared with the Autobots once they started catching on. An inner link of Autobots and humans shared their findings. Camera blind spots, deserted beach areas, utility closets, and certain schedules all ensured that the fun kept going. Whether it was a quick hookup or couples looking to get away from it all, the hunt for the perfect spot was at large.
For Bumblebee and Barricade their perfect spot was a bit more ambitious than others. The sparring room though public isn’t as active as one would think. Especially one that Wheeljack used for an experiment gone wrong. Bots and humans can still use it while it’s under repairs but the cameras are on hold for replacement. A headache for Red Alert, but the perfect place for Bee and Cade to unwind.
Bumblebee was the one who realized that the cameras were out of service. One night it was his turn to be on surveillance and lo and behold 4 sets of cameras showed nothing but static. When asked Red Alert went on a tirade about Wheeljack and his half baked ideas. Though annoying Bumblebee did appreciate the confirmation.
As soon as Bumblebee was relived he made his way to Barricade’s berth room. There he invited the ex con to spar. Every Friday evening between 0100 and 0300 hours.
“And you’re telling me this, why?” Barricade asked groggily leaning in the doorway.
Cade had been tossing and turning in his berth prior to Bee’s arrival. With training, driving around humans, and overall being annoyed day in and day out, the ex con was exhausted.
*Im just extending an invitation. Whether you come or not is your business.* Bee explained shortly.
With that Bumblebee turned and walked away. And as the sound of pedes got lower Barricade exvented, dragging a servo down his face.
Most of their interactions have been just like that. Short and tense. Their dynamic once again has changed.
When Barricade came to NEST Bumblebee was nowhere to be found. To his annoyance Cade found out that Bumblebee was with his human charge at the time. It would be about a month before Bee was due to report back to base.
Barricade went to Ratchet in complete disarray. Quite literally being put back together piece by piece. Optimus Prime brought him to the medic as promised. As Prime explained the previous events, Ratchet stared at Cade. His arms were crossed his expression plain to those who weren’t looking closely. But Barricade saw something in those optics. A fierce silent warning. Having heard tales of the infamous medic, Barricade decided to be on his best behavior.
Ratchet worked meticulously, paying close attention to all the damage Barricade had sustained. After a while Ratchet informed the con he would be putting him into stasis. That way he could work effectively without Barricade feeling so much pain. Weary at the thought Barricade denied the request and boasted that he could take the pain. That day Barricade learned a very valuable lesson. The med bay was Racthet’s domain and Ratchet doesn’t ask for permission in his own domain.
The next time Barricade onlined he felt better that he had in eons. His frame was shiny and new looking. His joints and digits didn’t ache or whine. And his optics all four of them were clear no warnings flooded his hud. Infamous he may be but Ratchet is one hell of a medic.
When it came down to his Decptiocn insignia Barricade allowed Ratchet to do as he pleased with it. But for some reason he wasn’t quite ready to remove “To Punish and Enslave” off of his frame. Ratchet rolled his optics but left the words untouched. Once clear Ratchet kicked Cade out of the medbay. Clearing him for active duty.
“Barricade.” Ratchet said without turning around from his workbench.
“What?” Barricade and Prowl who was his babysitter at the moment both stopped.
“I would be careful if I were you.” Prowl nodded in agreement and continued down the hall.
It wasn’t much, but that sentence told Barricade everything he needed to know to know.
From that day an Autobot and human was assigned with Barricade every second of the day. It didn’t matter what he said or did, someone was always stuck to Cade’s side. The only time Barricade was alone was in his room. It was barren except for a single berth placed in the corner. It beat having to sleep on dirt Barricade supposed. Unfortunately though he caught himself not getting much rest. Most nights were spent staring at the ceiling, servos behind his head. And the same question swirling around his processor.
“How the hell did I end up here?”
Eventually a month passed. And Bumblebee returned back to base with his human charge Samuel. And Samuel’s mate was also in tow.
“Don’t worry Bee. Me and Kala are gonna get settled in just fine.” Sam grunted removing the last bit of luggage from Bee’s trunk.
“Yeah and I’m sure you missed everyone Bee.” Kala added gently patting Bumblebee’s hood.
Once all the luggage was on the ground Bee transformed and crouched down in front of the couple.
*Between me and you I would rather be back in the garage.* Bumblebee explained handing letting the two humans climb into his hand.
“Bee cmon we talked about this. You can’t spend your many many years of life cramped in my garage. You gotta run around and do whatever Autobots do yknow?”
“Sam you’re making it sound like you’re releasing him back to the wild.”
“I mean I kinda am. I just think it’s important that Bee is around his own kind. He’s very impressionable.”
“And now you sound like a jackass.”
The two continued to bicker as Bumblebee made his way through the base. And Bee understood where Sam was coming from. Even if he did sound like a jackass while saying it.
NEST was already cramped on its own but that’s not what made Bee want to run. No it was as their latest recruit that enraged him. When Barricade was captured it was broadcasted all over the neural network. Bumblebee didn’t know that they had found Barricade in New York. And as he read through messages his Spark seemed to freeze. NEST had engaged and cornered the con. And knowing Barricade there was no way he would back down. That night Bumblebee was certain Barricade would die.
But instead of being relieved that the con was still online, Bee was everything but that. Barricade had surrendered to Optimus. And Bumblebee couldn’t believe it. The yellow bot himself couldn’t understand why exactly he was so conflicted. But the thought of Barricade being here on base made his frame crawl. Something wasn’t right about all of this, and Bumblebee was going to get to the bottom of it. But he needed somewhere private to confront Barricade. Bee just got here and he had no intention of getting sent to the brig so early.
Barricade followed the directions and made his way to the condemned training area. Putting in the code Bumblebee gave him the doors swished open. The area was dimly as multiple bulbs were missing. There was blue tarps strewn about with dust covering scaffolding. Though the place was in an abysmal state, there was Bumblebee throwing jabs with a glitchy hologram. The bot moved swiftly, his stance loose as he bopped and weaved around the hologram.
Barricade couldn’t help but watch. He always admired the scout’s frame as it seemed to curve in all the right places. And those thighs how much Barricade loved those thighs. Especially how they looked wrapped around hi-
*Are you just gonna stand there the whole time?* Bumblebee asked the hologram fizzing out behind him.
“Hello Bu-“ Barricade stared before Bumblebee cut him off with a flick of his servo.
*We don’t have time for all of that. We only have this space for a breem so I would advise we keep the talking to a minimum.*
Barricade glared as he pushed past the bot and made his way to the middle of the room. Now Cade was ready to kick some long overdue Autobot ass.
It stared simple. The two circling each other a jab here and there. Both hoping to catch the other off guard and connect the hit. The tension so thick even a life wouldn’t be able to cut through it.
“What exactly are you trying to prove here?”Barricade stepped forward and Bee leaned back, he missed.
Bee kept quiet aiming a punch at Cade’s chassis. It connected causing the black and white mech to grunt.
Bumblebee was angry and that’s for certain. His faceplates were scrunched and blue optics glowed brightly. And the more they moved the more Barricade felt his own anger boiling.
“Fuck you.”
Jab.
Miss.
“You’re just as worthless as the rest of those Autobots out there.”
Swing.
Miss.
“I could kill you right here right now and get this over with.”
Jab.
Jab.
Miss.
Miss.
“That would be perfect. Your energon splattered across this floor.”
Kick.
Uppercut.
It connects.
Bumblebee stumbles back holding his face. Barricade sparks fills with pride when he sees the energon drip and pool on the floor.
*Funny seeing how you’re the little bitch that surrendered to the Autobots. Who knows, maybe Megatron will do us all a favor and get rid of you once and for all.*
There’s silence as the two cybertronains stare at each other. Barricade’s servos were clenched uncomfortably. And his optics burned a bright crimson.
Bumblebee wiped the energon off his face as he gets back into a fighting stance.
*Now shut up already and let-*
Suddenly Barricade lunges at Bumblebee with a roar. Tackiling to other to the ground with a loud thud. The action cause some wooden boards to fall from the ceiling. The two roll around on the ground scratching and kicking at each other. Bumblebee goes for Barricade’s optics as the con bites Bee’s face.
Bumblebee lifts his hips off the ground and with a twist pins Barricade to the ground with one move. Once on top Bumblebee punches and scratches whatever he can get his servos on. And he doesn’t stop until Barricade is laying still. Barricade chassis falls up and down as does Bumblebee’s.
Barricade is back to square one as Bee damaged two of his optics. He growls pissed off all over again. And just as he’s about to attack again Bumblebee places his servos on either side of Barricade’s helm.
*Why?*
“Why, what?”
*Why did you surrender?*
“Bug I-“
*Why did it take all of this for you to surrender? Centuries. I’ve been asking you for centuries to come with me, to be with me, to want me. I begged you even and you walked away. So why now, After all this time did you surrender? Optimus asked you once and you accept. Why wasn’t I enough to convince you Barricade?* Bumblebee’s optics shuddered as he spoke. So is that what it was? He just wasn’t worth changing for.
Barricade didn’t know what to say. Maybe because he didn’t know how to respond. So instead he lifted a servo a placed one gently on Bee’s face.
“Bu-Bumblebee, I’m sorry. I’m sorry.”
And that’s all Cade could say. With that Bumblebee started to get up and leave. Barricade panicked he didn’t want to end it like this. So he reach up and grabbed Bumblebee’s helm unlatching the scout’s voice moduler. Once removed Barricade crashed their mouths together kissing Bee like it was the last time. Bumblebee attempted to pull away but Barricade’s hold was firm. Eventually Bumblebee melted into Barricade enjoying the moment.
It started off innocent enough but the tension from before started to shift into something else. Servos slid over curves and points sending shocks of pleasure between the two.
“Ca-Cade, Barricade, time we-“ Bumblebee attempted to warn Cade.
“You said we have a breem right?”
Bumblebee nodded yes.
“Then let’s make the most of it!”
With that Barricades modesty panels slid aside. His spike escaping and pressurizing as it made contact with the cold air.
Bumblebee was still as he contemplated what to do. On one hand Bumblebee was still very conflicted about how felt about the con under him. And that this conversation was not over. But on the other, Barricade’s spike was long and firm against his back. And he’s only just a mech, wouldn’t be the first time he’s Bee’s out his feelings aside.
Just when Barricade thought Bumblebee would leave him high and dry; he heard the familiar sound on panels sliding away. And before him was pretty looking spike and a soaked pretty valve .
Bumblebee sat up scooting himself down Barricade’s frame. Now he was behind the mechs spike as rubbed his valve up against it. The motion caused the both of them to groan in pleasure.
With time ticking down Bumblebee decided to make this quick. He placed his servos on the ground behind him as Barricade adjusted and placed the tip of his spike on Bee’s entrance. And with one swift motion Bumblebee sunk down on Barricade’s spike taking the whole thing in at once.
Bee’s hips seemed to move in their own as he threw his helm back. Barricade placed his servos firmly on those hips in awe of how his spike disappeared into his mates valve. The scouts spike bounced between their frames leaking trans fluid at the tip. And Bee’s valve node was bright and oh so tempting.
So Barricade didn’t hesitate to rub it firmly with one of his digits. This caused Bee to clench around the spike inside him disrupting his rhythm. Bumblebee moaned loudly as Barricade continued to rub his node.
Distracted Bumblebee barely realized that Barricade had turned them over so now Bumblebee laid on his back. Barricade hiked up Bee’s legs spreading them wide apart. The yellows bots valve and spike on full display.
Barricade took his spike and placed it over Bee’s belly, taking a peak of how far his spike reaches. Bee sat himself up on his arms taking a look as well. When he did, the two locked optics. Barricade grabbed Bees chin and brought him close.
“Perfect.”
Was all Barricade said before he shoved his spike back into Bee’s valve all the way to the hilt. The con never looked away from his mate as Bumblebee gasped from the sudden intrusion his back arching off the ground.
Barricade was relentless as he pounded into Bee. The nodes on his spike driving Bumblebee mad. Bee clawed at the ground taking his mates spike. His processor couldn’t comprehend all the sensations that came over him. It was all too much yet not enough at the same time.
Barricade grunted with each thrust letting instinct take over. The con wrapped himself around Bee hugging him with one arm while the other slammed onto the ground trying to keep himself up. Bumblebee locked his pedes firmly behind Cade’s back as his servos scratched at sensitive doorwings.
Barricade growled in pain but continued to rut into his mate. Their fluids sloshed with each thrust and pooled below them.
“Cade, Cade, Cade, Cade.”
Barricade doesn’t get to hear his mate’s actual voice very often, but when he does it’s like music to his audiols.
Like a rubber band about to snap their overloads were building. Both were close to going over the edge like they’ve done many times before. But this time was different, something had changed.
There was a hiss and the sound of panels opening. Barricade more so felt it than heard it. When he looked down he stopped moving completely. Beneath him was Bumblebee who was barring his spark. It was outstandingly bright and such a light blue it appeared white. It was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen.
And before he knew it Barricade’s chest plates slid apart revealing his own light red spark. It almost appeared pink in color which caused Bee to chuckle lightly. Cade felt himself chuckle as well as he continued to stare at Bee’s spark. There was hesitation between the two as they continued to look into each other’s very being. But ever so slowly they got closer and closer. Until finally, they were one.

“How? When did this happen?” Barricade paced around the woods. Leaves and trees crunching and snapping with each stomp of his pedes.
“This is insane I mean I didn’t even know! How the hell did you not know?” Barricade exclaimed pointing an accusing finger at his mate.
Bumblebee simply shrugged his shoulders, sending the con spiraling once more. Bumblebee was more than exhausted and his frame felt like a group of wreckers danced on it. He leans back against the cool wall of a cave they were currently occupying. Doorwings spread behind him.
Outside storm clouds started to form blowing wind in every direction. The large trees almost seemed like they would topple over, but they stood firm. And Barricade walked around in a complete circle, ignoring the small droplets of rain that began to fall.
But Bumblebee wasn’t worried about any of that. Instead he was distracted by the small creature wriggling in his arms. Covered in a faded blanket that he found in his subspace.

~Bond Speech~
*Comms Speech*
“Regular Speech”
~”That wasn’t supposed to happen!”~
~“WILL YOU BE QUIET YOU’RE SO LOUD”~
~“IM LOUD? DO YOU HEAR YOURSELF!”~
Barricade slapped a servo over Bee’s mouth plates. But he then retreated it as he realized it was pointless.
No one else would be able to hear the conversation as it wasn’t over comms, or actually coming out of their mouths. The words were being carried over through their new bond.
It was weird, familiar, but still weird.
And Bee’s voice rang through his helm loud and clear. Barricade never thought he would hear it like this again. Sure Bee was talented in conveying emotions through comms and the radio, but nothing would ever compare to this. But Barricade couldn’t dwell on that at the moment, due to his new mate currently losing his shit.
*Why did I do that? Why did you let me do that? Why the hell did you do that? Barricade what are we going to do? How could I be so stupid?*
“First let’s stop with the questions. Second there’s really nothing we can do. I’m stuck with you and you’re stuck with me until one of us perishes.”
A fact that Bumblebee very much knew, but couldn’t accept. So he did the only thing he could think of.
“Oh Primus will you get up! We need to leave before the humans make their rounds!” Barricade looked through the on base schedule, his optics unfocused. They were running out of time and his mate had decided to be dramatic.
Bumblebee whined taking refuge with the ground. He had his helm buried in his arms refusing to look at Barricade. This can’t be happening. When Bumblebee’s chest plates opened it just felt right. His body was on autopilot doing as it pleased. But when Barricade followed Bumblebee thought it would be like the last time they did it.
Centuries ago the two had spark-merged for the first time. A battle had just taken place and both factions went back to base to kick their wounds. But Bumblebee and Barricade had a score to settle. Neither satisfied with the damage they inflicted on one another. A message was sent and the two met again on the battlefield. Immediately engaging the other they fought viciously.
But one thing led to another and they ended up in familiar position.
The sensation couldn’t be described with words. But before anything permanent happened they pulled away from each other. As if coming their senses the two didn’t say another word and went back to their bases.
Ratchet patched Bumblebee up ranting about hiding injuries and berth rest. That night kept Bumblebee up for days, he vowed to never do anything like that again. Barricade was the enemy, and this “relationship” was purely for pleasure. Nothing more, nothing less.
~”I know you hear me bug.”~
Bumblebee gasped as Barricade’s words came over the bond. As well as some arousing emotions.
*Will you stop that!*
~”Why? I know you love it!”~
It’s true, even if Bumblebee’s physical frame screamed the opposite. And he hated that Barricade was right.
“Look we can talk about this situation but we have to go.”
Barricade swooped down and grabbed Bumblebee’s arms. Dragging him up straight into a standing position. Once up Barricade thew Bumblebee over his shoulder.
*What are yo-*
“I know a way out of here that leads to my berth room, without going the way we came.”
*Not even Red Alert?*
“Especially Red Alert.”
*Bu-*
“Will you just relax?” Barricade sounded annoyed in his tone but emotions of calm, adoration, and apprehension through the bond betrayed him.
But Bumblebee found himself settling against Barricade. So maybe there were some benefits to this whole bond thing. The days of guessing what emotional state the other was in were over. The transparency was nice but also overwhelming.
Barricade adjuster Bee’s weight on his shoulder and made his way out the training room. Once out in the hallway Barricade felt along one of the hallway walls until he felt a foreign panel. He grabbed and pulled towards himself a dark entryway opening. Both Bee and Cade heard human footsteps approaching them. As well as their walkie talkies going off with commands.
“You sure you heard something over here? I don’t see signs of anything.” A female guard stated as she updated her fellow officer.
As the get closer Barricade ducked into the entrance and once inside slid the wall panel back into place. Bumblebee slid off of him landing on his pedes as quietly as possible.
Barricade turned and grabbed one of Bees Servos leading him through the narrow cavern.
*How did you find this place? I searched up and down this base and this never showed up.*
“Spare me, you spend most of your time with the human Witwicky. If you really looked you would have noticed. Barricade replied rolling his optics as Bumblebee couldn’t see his face.
“This hallway leads directly to my quarters. One night I noticed a draft coming in through the wall. My curiosity got the better of me obviously. It would be wise we keep this to ourselves.”
*I’ll think about it. I mean this is a huge security risk. I don’t think you knowing secret entryways in a Government base is a good idea*
Bumblebee was being smug of course, but it was an actual concern. If Barricade was able to find this in the short time he’s been on base, what else could he know? It was already tense at is but this would definitely send bits over the edge.
Barricade stopped suddenly and Bumblebee walked directly into him. Barricade turned looking Bumblebee right in his optics.
“Weren’t you the one who invited me, the freshly ex con. To an off limits area to overload all over my spike and merge our Sparks together?” Barricade asked that stupid smirk adorning his face.
*I could kill you right now and leave your frame to rot and no one would find it.*
“Only if you want be dead too. How romantic does that sound?”
Bumblebee shoved past his mate making his way towards the quarters.
Barricade could only shrug as he allowed Bumblebee to lead.
They laid on Barricade’s berth in silence. Even when they closed off their ends of the bond the remnants of it lingered. Bumblebee dragged a servo over his chest and when he looked over he saw Barricade was doing the same. When Barricade noticed he growled in frustration.
Bumblebee looked at his internal clock and noticed how late or rather early it was. Bumblebee needed to get ready to pickup Sam and Mikaela. As well as get ready for training with the bots and humans.
And if he tried to call in sick Ratchet would be all over him. Ironhide and Optimus would not be far behind. What is he going to do?
“I don’t need a bond to know you’re panicking.” Barricade said lazily.
*What else am I supposed to do? If anyone finds out about this the-*
“They’ll what? I’m not a Decepticon anymore and Prime himself vouches for me.”
*Barricade you’ve haven’t been a con for what, 2 months? You don’t even want to call yourself an Autobot.I don’t think that’s really enough time to change opinions.*
“Maybe so, but are you truly that upset about being my mate?” Barricade had to ask with the bid being silent. It made his processor not feel so full, yet he found himself missing Bumblebee’s presence.
The question made Bumblebee shift uncomfortably. Their relationship has always been so complicated. The idea of having a spark mate was unrealistic to Bumblebee. But now here is laying right next to him.
~No. I’m not upset about being your mate. I wish things happened differently. But the end result isn’t too bad.~
Bumblebee felt around the berth until he found Barricade’s servo. He held it gently and Barricade carefully followed suit minding his claws.
*How come you’re so calm about this anyway?*
“I’ve felt that this result was inevitable. Somehow we always find our way back to each other. I used to think it was an annoying coincidence. But now I’m starting to think otherwise.”
*This is weird.*
“Has this shit ever made sense?”
*For someone who hates humans, you use a lot of human profanity.*
That made the both of them laugh.
And for a moment they just laid there holding servos. Bumblebee had about two hours before shift change. Their relationship would unfortunately still have to be a secret.
And they would have to figure out how to maneuver this new bond. But they would figure it out, somehow they always figured it out.

There seems to be this common idea that in Transformers you have to absolutely despise your lover first. Then randomly get married and not tell anyone about it.
But with that I’ll see you guys in the next part.✨

Chapter Text
Pretending the events of last night didn't happen was relatively easy.
Bumblebee and Barricade stayed in the ex cons quarters for a bit longer. Not too much was said but it was fine, the silence was comforting in its own right.
It was a relief pretending that they hadn't done something absolutely stupid. But once his internal clock struck 6:00 am that's when Bumblebee took his leave. He even took the opportunity to place a quick peck on Barricade's helm. And before Barricade could say anything Bumblebee was off to pick up Sam and Mikaela.
Bumblebee drove to the apartment complexes that housed any and all civilians. Sam and Mikaela were stationed here until their on base quarters were completed. It was decided that they would stay on the Autobot side of the base to make their day to day lives easier.
Mikaela was training with Ratchet, her mechanic background made her a perfect addition to the medical team. Though she had a lot to learn, Mikaela's advantage comes from the fact that she's one of the few humans Ratchet can tolerate. Meanwhile Sam was studying under Optimus, taking on a more political role. In due time Sam would be an Autobot ambassador, a true ally closing the gap between Humans and Autobots. After the events in Egypt Sam's identity was exposed to the public making it difficult for him to continue his normal life. It also didn't help that there were concerns about Sam's health after dying and being miraculously resurrected. The whole situation keeps both Bee and Ratchet awake at night.
Sam, his parents, and Mikaela had to essentially enter a form of the Witness Protection program. They were moved around repeatedly as threats from other humans made it difficult to stay in one place. It was ok at first but both Sam and Mikaela started to become restless, they were young and didn't want to spend their time cooped up and constantly under surveillance. It took some bargaining and maybe some begging, but eventually the couple were stationed at Diego Garcia. Their parents had visiting privileges but stayed off base. There were still some corners that needed to be ironed but Sam and Mikaela were making the best out of what they had.
Luckily both were able to find respective fields that they feel accomplished and thrive in. And Bumblebee couldn't be more proud of them.
Notes:
What can I say? I prefer Mikaela to Carly sorry not sorry. Mikaela was a great human character who deserved more. So my job now consist of making sure Mikaela is loved...And Sam too I guess.
I'm going back to past chapters and updating them so everything is linear. There's a few contradictions, so if you go back and things seem different it's just me reworking some things

Pretending the events of last night didn't happen was relatively easy.
Bumblebee and Barricade stayed in the ex cons quarters for a bit longer. Not too much was said but it was fine, the silence was comforting in its own right.

“Oh God the suns not even up!” Sam muttered, using a towel to dry off any leftover moisture from his hair. Satisfied he threw the towel into a nearby hamper already overflowing with Mikaela’s oil stained clothes.
Speaking of Mikela was sitting in the small kitchenette in their apartment. She cradled a large cup of coffee as she dug through a box of assorted pastries.
“And you missed breakfast.” And Sam’s growling stomach was his only response before he made his way over to her. Sam placed a kiss on Mikela’s forehead and then her lips. They tasted of cherries and Sam found it to be addicting. But before the two could indulge in less than appropriate activities Bumblebee decided to make his presence known.
“Hey Bee.” Mikeala said suddenly, causing Sam to jump back with a scream.
There in the living room sat Bumblebee on their couch. His holofrom had a shit eating grin as he stared at the couple.
“Yknow for a bot that makes so much noise your holoform is quiet as hell.” Sam placed a hand over his chest attempting to catch his breath. He’s seen the form 100 times before but it still always catches him off guard.
Bee tapped his wrist letting the pair know that they were going to be late. The couple groaned but gathered their things and made their way outside to Bee’s vehicle form. Once Bee knew they were buckled in he accelerated towards the hangar.
On the dash Bumblebee had a screen to display text for Mikela and Sam. All the words typed out in real time so it was a quicker way to communicate especially since Bee spent a lot of time in this particular form.
*Sooo did you two have fun last night?__|*
“Bee!” Sam and Mikela exclaimed in unison.
“Why do I keep forgetting you can tell when we do that? Sam threw his head back, thumping his head on the seat.
Mikela swiped a hand down her face with a huff, both of their faces became bright red.
Bumblebee could only chuckle, his frame shaking in response. Being Sam and Mikeala’s guardian made sure there were no dull moments in his day.
Somehow they always forgot that Bee had active sensors on the two constantly. Not too long after dropping Mikela and Sam at the apartment their heart rates had spiked rapidly. Bumblebee was concerned at first until he realized why.
“Funny enough I’m going over a pretty similar topic today with Ratchet.” Mikela grimaced sliding down slightly in her seat. Mikela knew this day was coming but Ratchet confirmed it the day before. Granted he didn't seem all that excited about it either but the medic concluded that Miklea was ready.
Especially after a particular incident with Sideswipe that caused Mikela to get to see a lot more than she bargained for. She has never seen Ratchet so pissed off, and to this day they still don’t know how Sideswipe got that thing stuck in there.
“Wait, don't tell me you're learning about the birds and the bees!” Sam gasped, his eyes almost bulging out of his head.
*Really?__|* Bumblebee could only hope that Ratchet took it easy on Mikela. He knows first hand how “graphic” Ratchet could get with his lessons.
“Yup, I'm getting the 404 on Cybertronian interfacing. Not the most comfortable lesson in the world, especially with Ratchet as my teacher. But I would be lying if I said I wasn't curious.”
*Good luck Kaela, you're gonna need it__|*
“Hah, thanks for the confidence boost Bee.”
“Wait, wait, wait Bumblebee, you guys have..sex?”
*Well, I mean__|*
“Don’t answer that Bee I’ve got this. Yes Sam, Cybertronians have sex! Quite similar to us actually. And I will be giving you a thorough lesson when I get home, because if I have to know, so do you.”
Sam’s face paled as he knew that was a promise and not a suggestion. Of course Sam had a suspicion that Cybertronians could be.. “intimate”, but to get every single detail made him squirm. It was bad enough that Bumblebee knew every time he and Mikela were getting down and dirty.
“Wait so that means that.. BEE HAVE YOU HAD SEX?”
Luckily Bumblebee had made it to the hangar and flew his doors open in response. His way of telling Sam to please get out.
Mikela rolled her eyes at her boyfriend's antics. She gave Bee’s dash an affectionate pat as thanks for dropping them off.
“I mean of course you’ve had sex you're an adult, right? But if you have, oh God there's so many questions. How do you? What do you? I-I but who, when, why? Well not why, I mean you're adorable who wouldn't? WAIT I DIDN'T MEAN IT LIKE THAT! I mean like in the sense tha-
“SAM! Time to go, come on.” Mikela essentially dragged Sam out of the driver's seat saving him from himself. Once the two removed their personal items from Bee’s cab they backed up giving him space to transform. Bee waved Sam and Mikela off, the former still rambling away.
“The following Autobots please make your way to the training grounds. Jolt, Blur, Bumblebee, Smokescreen, Hot Rod, and Arcee. I repeat, please make your way to the training grounds.”
Watching where he stepped, Bumblebee walked over to the grounds. Blur spotted him and waved frantically, the humans around him jumping in surprise at the sudden movement. But before Bumblebee could return the greeting a violent shiver ran down his backplates. Without even looking Bee knew that Barricade was close by, and the ex-con was watching his every move.
Notes:
Next chapter I think Bee is gonna let Sam and Mikaela in on some Autobot drama! You gotta admit for such an advanced species Autobots and Decpeticons can get meesssy.
Furthermore I didn't describe Bee's holoform only because everyone has a different interpitation of character's holorforms. BUT if you want to know what I imagine Bee looks like PLEASE look up (torrentarts) human Bee designActually you know what Im linking it: He's so beautiful

“So you guys can be romantic?” Sam asked speaking around the orange chicken he had placed in his mouth.
“Yes. It was common to court your potential mate. Some used acts of service while others preferred to adorn their mate with gifts. But that’s also where our concept of time differs with humans. You guys can court each other for a span of weeks, maybe months. While it doesn’t feel long for us, we court each other for a multitude of human years.”
Bee’s holoform blinked out of the kitchenette and was suddenly on the couch. He appeared very comfortable with his arms draped over the back and feet crossed at the ankle.
“Hmm I never thought about that. But let’s say everything does according to plan and a couple become mates? Then they’re considered spark mates, right?”
Mikaela asked eagerly eyebrows knit in concentration. Honestly the topic was great for both Mikaela and Sam. They both were studying under Cybertronians so it only made sense that they wanted to gain more knowledge.
“Nope, spark mates are completely different. Spark mates have a much deeper connection then one can truly explain. It’s different from a Creator and a sparkling. And it’s also differs from what you would call a family connection. It is the ultimate bond between two beings. It ties them together for eternity. And I mean that in a spiritual, emotional and physical sense.”
“Sooo like a soulmate. For us that’s just a term we use, or a fairytale. But you guys can have actual soulmates?” As he asked Sam sat up in his seat, finding new interest in their conversation.
Mikaela plopped down next to Sam, using adorn to mix up her pad thai.
“Ratchet was brief about Sparkmates when the topic came up today. Their bond is so strong that if one mate dies, the other could suffer the same fate. Their sparks can’t handle the disconnect.” The mechanic explained sullenly.
“It’s true, that’s why ever since the war started many couples do not sparkbond. If they’re successful they’ll become spark mates, they may even forge a sparkling. But Cybertron is dead, and energon is scarce. Survival became of upmost importance thus making bonds more of a liability than anything.”
Bumblebee’s spark fluttered uncomfortably, a heavy feeling forming deep in his tanks. But he decided to ignore this for the time being. Bee felt that Sam and Mikaela were more than ready to hear this.
“A lot of couples also keep their relations secret as a way of not getting forced to separate.
“Forced to separate?” Sam asked abruptly his mouth turned into a frown. Mikaela eyes also windened becoming glossy.
“Autobots not directly under Optimus had a different chain of command to report to. Some felt that couples needed to be separated to keep their troops and the mates safe. The distance technically could weaken the bond. In the instance that one perished, the other could still survive”…..
Notes:
I promise we will be getting some more Barricade and Bumblebee! Just trust me on this!
Also if you read the sparkling chapter from before I think we’re going to go in a different direction. There will be plenty of sparklings in the future! But they may not be from the characters you think…Or will they?

Chapter Text
The sun started to set over Diego Garcia, casting everything in a breathtaking array of orange and reds. Sam’s wristwatch bleeped indicating that 7:00 PM had struck, he groaned in exhaustion and relief. He was finally released from the shackles of politics, Human and Cybertronian alike.
Sam took pride in being the Autobot’s ambassador, don't get him wrong. But anyone would admit the sheer amount of knowledge bestowed on Sam every single day is a lot to digest. And though he needed to be level headed and unbiased, some of the facts made his stomach turn. But Optimus as usual was patient and understanding. Allowing Sam to take as many breaks as he needs throughout their lessons. Now only if Sam’s past high school teachers had gotten the memo.
As he gathered his supplies Sam heard Bumblebee honk twice outside. The sound urged Sam on, he quickly threw any leftover papers in his bag and ran out of the office building. Yelling a goodbye to Optimus over his shoulder, though he didn't hear him Sam knew Optimus returned the sentiment.
Bumblebee swung his door open allowing Sam to throw his bag into the backseat. Once settled on the driver’s side, the seat belt slid over Sam’s body comfortably. Satisfied with his charge’s safety, Bumblebee accelerated towards the medical quarters to pick up Mikaela.
Mikaela followed a similar routine gently sitting in the passenger's seat.
With both humans in tow there was a new challenge to tackle, what would they eat for dinner?
Options were narrowed down to either Mexican or Chinese. And after a tense game of rock, paper, scissors, Chinese was the victor. When the couple were inside the on base restaurant placing orders, Bumblebee was pinged with an updated schedule.
It looked like he was free for the evening. As one of the twins was put on mandatory guard duty, obviously Prowl had a bone to pick. Sam and Mikaela were excited to have Bee hang out at the apartment, moments like these were becoming less and less achievable. So any downtime was greatly appreciated. Sam and Mikela insisted they held the hot bags in their laps to limit any possible spillage on Bumblebee's interior. It was only until Bee was convinced that the two wouldn't receive serious burns from the food, that the three headed to the apartments. Settling in for a long overdue hangout.
“So you guys can be romantic?” Sam asked, speaking around the orange chicken he had placed in his mouth.
*Yes. It was common to court your potential mate. Some used acts of service while others preferred to adorn their mate with gifts. But that’s also where our concept of time differs with humans. You guys can court each other for a span of weeks, maybe months. While it doesn’t feel long for us, we court each other for a multitude of human years.*
Bee’s holoform blinked out of the kitchenette and was suddenly on the couch. He appeared very comfortable with his arms draped over the back and feet crossed at the ankle.
“Hmm I never thought about that. But let’s say everything goes according to plan and a couple becomes mates? Then they’re considered spark mates, right?”
Mikaela asked eagerly, eyebrows knit in concentration. Honestly the topic was great for both Mikaela and Sam. They both were studying under Cybertronians so it only made sense that they wanted to gain more knowledge.
* Nope, spark mates are completely different. Spark mates have a much deeper connection than one can truly explain. It’s different from a Creator and a sparkling. And it also differs from what you would call a family connection. It is the ultimate bond between two beings. It ties them together for eternity. And I mean that in a spiritual, emotional and physical sense. *
“Sooo like a soulmate. For us that’s just a term we use, or a fairytale. But you guys can have actual soulmates?” As he asked Sam sat up in his seat, finding new interest in their conversation.
Mikaela plopped down next to Sam, using a fork to mix up her lo mein.
“Ratchet was brief about Sparkmates when the topic came up today. Their bond is so strong that if one mate dies, the other could suffer the same fate. Their sparks can’t handle the disconnect.” The mechanic explained sullenly.
* It’s true, that’s why ever since the war started many couples do not sparkbond. If they’re successful they’ll become spark mates, they may even forge a sparkling. But Cybertron is dead, and energon is scarce. Survival became of utmost importance thus making bonds more of a liability than anything. *
Bumblebee’s spark fluttered uncomfortably, a heavy feeling forming deep in his tanks. But he decided to ignore this for the time being. Bee felt that Sam and Mikaela were more than ready to hear this.
* A lot of couples also keep their relations secret as a way of not getting forced to separate. *
“Forced to separate?” Sam asked abruptly, his mouth turned into a frown. Mikaela's eyes also widened, becoming glossy.
* Autobots not directly under Optimus had a different chain of command to report to. Some felt that couples needed to be separated to keep their troops and the mates safe. The distance technically could weaken the bond. In the instance that one perished, the other would have a better chance of survival. But the surviving mate is never quite the same. *
At this point Sam and Mikaela have placed their food containers down. Giving Bumblebee their complete undivided attention. Bumblebee went a little more in depth on how relationships work between Cybertronians. But eventually decided to change the subject slightly as he didn't want to delve so much into the more difficult parts of it all.
So Bee moved the conversation towards something they could all talk about in depth. That's one thing Cybertronians and Humans have in common, the need for unfiltered gossip.
* Well, I know you guys already know about Ironhide and Ratchet! *
“Not going to lie that one raised a lot of questions.” Sam reminisced, scratching the back of his head. Mikaela chuckled at the memory, every human on base was utterly flabbergasted.
“Yeah, everyone talked about those two. But I think they make a great pair all things considered. Besides, they helped raise you, didn't they Bee?”
* Essentially, yes they did. Even though Optimus was considered my primary caretaker, those two were not far behind. *
“What about Jazz and Prowl? They give me cool uncle vibes.” Sam exclaimed
“Agreed, but Jazz is so eccentric, while Prowl is soo what's the word?” Mikaela looked towards the ceiling trying to come up with her answer.
“Closed off, distant, calculating, the absolute complete opposite of Jazz.” Sam took a swig of his soda waving it around after each word.
* Well they say opposites attract, and in their case it’s just that. But don’t get it wrong, Jazz and Prowl have a lot more in common than people think. Both of them are very good at what they do and let's just say we’re really lucky those two decided to be Autobots .*
Bumblebee has had the opportunity once to see the softer sides of both Jazz and Prowl. It was brief and Bee was still recovering from his encounter with Megatron in Tyger Pax. Their relationship, though odd to others, was solid.
“Hey are the twins and Bluestreak umm?” Sam asked gently.
* Yes Sam, the answer is yes. *
Sam hopped up on the couch jumping up and down.
‘“I KNEW IT! And you called me crazy! You and Epps owe me $50.00 bucks!”
“Alright, I will admit that I didn't realize you guys were polyamorous.” Mikaela said, raising her hands in defeat.
* Not all of us are. It’s simply a matter of preference to be honest. The twins are already an anomaly on their own. But Blue doesn’t mind and if they're all happy then that’s all that matters. *
“Buuut Prowl isn't a fan is he?” Mikaela asked with sympathy for the couple. It’s not easy being in a relationship that the people you love the most don’t approve of, she would know.
Bumblebee could only shake his hand as a way of showing his uncertainty.
“Are there any more that we may not know about?”
* You guys know pretty much all of them already. *
"Well what about you Bee, has anyone caught your eye?”
* Uhhh . *
Now Bee knew if there was ever a good time to say anything it would be now. And it’s not like he doesn't trust Sam and Mikaela. Bee trusts them with his life and vice versa. But he didn't feel ready quite yet, and if he told them then it would only be a matter of time until he had to tell everyone else. The thought made his spark freeze, one day hopefully but not tonight.
* I didn't really date you guys know that. *
“Yeah but c'mon Bee there had to be someone! I mean you're like what 100 something years old?
“Yeah Bee you were kinda a teenager once, you've had to have rebelled at some point!” Mikaela was almost bouncing in her seat. Her Scooby Doo pajama pants just added to the juvenile of it all.
Oh they have no idea. But Bee could give them a small snippet of his younger days.
* I've rebelled plenty of times, just ask Smokescreen. *
“SMOKESCREEN?” The young adults yelled faces agast. Sam almost fell off the couch, eyes bulging. Mikela clutched her chest and mouth wide, not able to make a single sound.
Bumblebee simply shrugged his shoulders with the largest shit eating grin spreading across his face. But before Bee could start torturing his friends a incoming comm notification came across his HUD.
* The humans can’t possibly be that entertaining *
The comm held annoyance in its tone, but through the bond Bumblebee could feel undertones of yearning and lust from Barricade. But under all of that there seemed to be some anger? The scout wondered what that was about. But obviously Bee had been missed today.
~You could give them a chance, you know. You might enjoy yourself.~
~I doubt that. But you know what I would enjoy~
~What?~
~Having that tight, slick valve wrapped around my sp-~
* GOTTA GO! Gotta go back to base for my security rounds !* Bumblebee announced abruptly.
“Aww so soon, we were just getting to the good part!” Mikaela couldn’t help but ask in disappointment.
* I know but we always have tomorrow. *
“True, besides Kaela we can watch that movie you’ve been mentioning.” Sam got up from the couch and made his way back to the kitchenette. He started rummaging through the cupboards until he found a box of popcorn. As well as some additional toppings and candy.
“Oh yeah I forgot about that! I guess we’ll see you later casanova.” Mikaela exclaimed, giving Bee’s holoform a playful punch on the arm.
Bee chuckled and bid the couple goodbye which they gladly returned. The holoform dematerialized all primary consciousness returning to Bumblebee’s alt mode parked outside. Once situated Bee drove off back to base, knowing exactly where to find his mate.
Bumblebee never even got a chance to greet his lover before Barricade pounced on him. Who knows maybe the pair will just talk about their day and have a relaxing evening as new sparkmates.
Bumblebee’s back arched completely off the floor, another overload ripping through his frame. Barricade continued the relentless pace pumping in out of his mate’s pretty valve. Bumblebee weakly tried to push Barricade back, his frame overstimulated and hot to the touch. Cade noticed and simply grabbed Bee’s servo lifting to his mouth and placing a gentle kiss on Bee’s wrist. He then placed Bumblebee’s servo above the Autobots' helm, keeping it firmly there.
Barricade decided to give his mate some mercy and slow down his thrusts. He brought his hips back agonizingly slow and left nothing but the tip inside Bee’s entrance. The two hadn’t uttered a single word to each other as neither needed to do so. The bond was open to its max every feeling and sensation between the two of them merged. It was hard to tell where one started and the other ended.
Barricade could feel the overstimulation from Bumblebee but there was “need” underneath it as well. And the scout’s valve clenched around nothing missing his mate’s spike. But Barricade waited until he felt some tension leave Bee’s frame letting the con know that he could continue where he left off. Bee even lifted his legs and wrapped them around Barricade’s waist, keeping the con right where he wanted him.
They were running out of time as the humans would be making their rounds again. With that being said Barricade grabbed Bumblebee’s hips holding him in place. Cade leaned down until his helm rested on Bumblebee's shoulder plate. Once settled Barricade slammed his hips until he bottomed out. Bumblebee let out a high pitched whine helm thrown back. Barricade pistoned his hips causing trans fluids to spill, pooling underneath the couple.
Cade’s rigged spike hit every node in Bee’s valve, the pleasure causing his visual feed to glitch out. Bee could only hold on as his mate fucked him roughly. Looking down Bee saw that Cade’s spike made a noticeable protrusion in his frame. Bumblebee placed a servo over the protrusion, entranced by the sight.
Barricade let out a possessive growl as him and Bee’s optics made contact. His mate looked simply breathtaking underneath him. Barricade couldn't believe he wasted so many years missing out on this. Even when he attempted to move on, afraid that their relationship wouldn’t work, Barricade always found himself back to Bumblebee. The Autobot had him wrapped around his digits, the ex-con would do anything for him.
Barricade brought their helms together closing his optics servos holding Bee firmly in place. Bumblebee held Barricade’s face gently, letting digits slide over audio receptors and down neck cables. There was a soft hiss as Bumblebee removed the mask over his mouthplates. Bee placed kisses all over his mate until he found his lips. The kiss was slow and soft and both of their frames rumbled in pleasure. Surprisingly though the gentleness caused Cade to groan spilling his into Bumblebee's valve.
~Shit, sorry.~ Barricade apologized, nipping at Bumblebee’s neck.
Bumblebee laughed, comfort and happiness flowing through the bond.
~Don’t be that was, perfect.~
All in all it was a pretty good day.

Precipitation: 0%
84 degrees
Chance of rain: 40%

Barricade hates Diego Garcia. He hates the weather, the humidity, the plants, the water, the sand, and most of all the humans. Honestly Barricade hates Earth in general and all it’s wetness. It feels like every molecule of dirt and sand gets caught in every crevice of his frame. It makes his plating itch like hell and only fuels his agitated mood. Even the thrill of racing is second guessed when mud cakes his undercarriage.
But Barricade would walk through a desert or swim through a swamp if it meant that not another human could sit inside him. Humans are absolutely disgusting, they’re always so fucking sticky. They leak, complain, and are very easy to step on causing multiple mishaps throughout the day.
Barricade’s disdain for humans is more than obvious as he makes it clear everyday. But of course once he was cleared to move around Diego Garcia he was assigned tasks. And the worst of them all rendered him a taxi. Picking up and dropping off Humans around multiple areas of the island. At first he thought it would be one off thing but Barricade was wrong, very wrong. Now Barricade believes that Prime and his higher ups simply have him do it for the entertainment of it all.
With each pickup and drop-off Barricade finds his hate for Humans growing oh so slowly. The only joy he finds out of such a degrading task is scaring the little creatures with breakneck speeds. Barricade’s sensors picking up every heartbeat, fear pumping through their little veins. Call him sadistic but the ex-con had to get his kicks in when he can.
Other than his limited tasks Barricade finds Diego Garcia to be boring. The Autobots were boring in their own right, especially when kissing human asses all day. In New York before his capture, Barricade was living it up. No nights were ever the same, there was always something to do. The city never sleeps and the lights were blinding, some would hate the noise of it all. But for Cade it was perfection, it kept him distracted, it kept him alive. Because any time spent in silence was too much time to think.
~Not to interrupt your brooding, but you're extremely distracting.~
Suddenly this agitating voice filled Barricade’s helm.
~EXCUSE ME!!~
Bumblebee, Barricade’s beautiful sparkmate. That still took some getting used to, but Barricade couldn’t deny how proud he was to call Bumblebee his one and only.
~I wasn't brooding, I was simply losing my processor from sheer boredom. It’s like my own personal pit!~
~Ok first, you’re being dramatic. Second, I’ll admit Diego Garcia is much more limited compared to cities but it's not all bad. Besides, you would have a lot more fun if you would give Humans a chance Barricade.~
Barricade couldn’t understand what Bumblebee saw in these creatures. But he supposes that's another endearing feature of his love. Bumblebee somehow always finds the good in every situation.
~ And how do you suppose I do that?~

Because any time spent in silence was too much time to think.
~Not to interrupt your brooding, but you're extremely distracting.~
Suddenly this agitating voice filled Barricade’s helm.
~EXCUSE ME!!~
Bumblebee, Barricade’s beautiful sparkmate. That still took some getting used to but Barricade couldn’t deny how proud he was to call Bumblebee his one and only.
~I wasn't brooding, I was simply losing my processor from sheer boredom. It’s like my own personal pit~
~ And how do you suppose I do that?~
~Easy, I’ll introduce you to Sam and Mikaela!~
If Barricade rolled his optics any harder they would have fell out of his helm
~Just trust me Cade, okay?~
Barricade started his transformation process, settling once all four wheels touched the pavement. Unfortunately his “assistance” was needed.
~Do I really have a choice in the matter?~
Barricade, already knowing the answer, decided there was no harm in asking.
~Nope! Good luck today, you're going to need it.~
With that Barricade felt Bumblebee’s presence in his mind fade, becoming quiet resting in a deeper part of his mind. Though he wasn't sure if Bumblebee could feel it, Cade’s spark always twinged when the bond became closed off. It was necessary but that doesn't mean he had to like it.
“Good luck today”, what the hell does that mean?
Target practice, his mate meant target practice. Bee could be a real asshole sometimes.
“Mind explaining why any of this is necessary?” Barricade could only simply cross his arms, annoyance radiating off his frame. Himself and a handful of Autobots stood in the newly reopened training room. Of course him and Bumblebee were on the lookout for a new rendezvous point but for the time being humans had begun their Cybertronaian defense training.
“It’s simple really, the humans shoot, and ya get shot point blank” Ironhide snarled. The grizzly Autobot made it more than obvious that he couldn’t stand even the sight of Barricade. The ex cons presence on base made Ironhide even more irritated than usual. This fact was broadcasted around base and schedules were adjusted to accommodate. Unfortunately for both Hide and Cade working together was inevitable.
Though not technically an Autobot Barricade followed the Autobots schedule. And part of that was an ensemble of training procedures. And the most important one being Bot and Human engagement. Despite his rough exterior Ironhide worked closely with the soldiers on base and regardless of size he sees them as his fellow brothers in arms. Namely Lennox and Epps being at his side constantly.
Normally Bumblebee would be here in Cade’s place as the humans prefer to work with Bumblebee for this specific hands-on training. His personality makes it easier for the humans to become comfortable and learn. Just from being in the room Barricade can sense the apprehension. He also gets the funny feeling that Bee put in a request to switch their schedules.
When Bumblebee asked him to get more along with humans Barricade didn't think it meant letting the little crittens crawl all over him.
“Alright eyes up!” Lennox grabbed the attention of everyone in the room. He stood tall next to Epps looking down at his fellow soldiers from the scaffolding.
“I’d like to welcome everyone back to Training room 8! With this area being rebuilt we were able to expand and upgrade.” The flooring underneath lit up under everyone's feet. The Government decided to let the Autobots take charge with the repairs. Adding all types of reactive technology that the world had never seen before. The perfect blend taking Cybertronains and humans into consideration. It was both endearing and exciting to try all the new features in store.
“Today we will be focusing on takedowns. As we all know Decpetiocns have a size advantage against us and have no trouble reminding us. Takedowns are crucial in ensuring that we all make it home at the end of the day. With such a larger enemy getting them down to our level makes it easier to land the final blow. We also view takedowns as the last option in the event you find yourself up close and personal with a Decepticon!”
Lennox and Epps both made their way down the scaffolding stairs moving towards their assigned groups.
“But even so when that day comes we need to make sure that every soldier is capable of landing a perfect takedown. On a team like this we can’t afford any fuck ups, we don’t ask for perfection, we demand it.” Lennox looked around the room surveying, trying to weed out any weak links.
“Now suit up and find your groups, MOVE, MOVE, MOVE!”
The room erupted into noise as Soldiers ran to their equipment. With them distracted Ironhide turned his attention towards Cade and the bots.
“Alright Arcee your with group A, Blurr group B, Cliffjumper group C, Sunstreaker group D, and Barricade group E. The same rules apply to all of you as well, if there are any fuck ups today your asses are mine, got it?
And if looks could kill, Cade would be a dead mech by now. Though Ironhide was speaking generally it didn't take a genius to understand that the bot had his processor set on Barricade. One fuck up and Ironhide would end him.
Who knows maybe Barricade could take out Bumblebee's page and make the best out of this situation. He might even gain some extensive combat knowledge. Besides its just some pewny humans, how hard could this possibly be?
“Iv’e seen some truly stupid injuries in my day, but this has got to be the dumbest. What the hell were you two thinking?” Ratchet’s voice echoed off the walls of the med bay, Even if you were standing outside the heavy metal doors you could hear the medic tear into Barricade and Irohdie respectfully.
Barricade sat on the berth cradling a damaged arm as Ratchet added a weld to the side of his helm. Both of his left optics were disconnected as the medic worked.
“AND YOU OF ALL BOTS KNOW BETTER! Fighting like that in front of the humans, idiot.”
Ironhide simply waved Ratchet off not wanting to hear anymore of the ongoing rant. He sat on the berth to the left of Cade, the majority of his repairs complete. An array of deep scratches decorated Irohndie’s frame, dried energon splatters stood out against the gun grey metal.
“I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING! I simply demonstrated what an elite ass whooping looks like.” Ironhide defended himself smugly crossing his arms completely oblivious to any of his wrong doings.
“Ass whooping? Please don't make me laugh. If it weren't for Ultra Magnus you’d be finished Autobot!” Barricade spat in anger.
Ironhide narrowed his optics, his frame radiating with fury.
“How do those optics feel punk?”
Barricade shot up from the berth lunging for Ironhide, when suddenly a sharp pain ripped through his helm. He clutched at it whipping around to see who the hell dared to stop him. Suddenly he came face to face with a large wrench. When the ex con looked over he saw that Ironhide was holding his helm in a similar manner.
“Sit down the both of you, honestly you two are worse than the twins!” Ratchet gritted in fury slamming a servo down on a nearby workbench.
“Whether you like it or not Ironhide, Barricade isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. You of all bots know that considering you were front and center for that meeting.”
Ironhide’s engine rumbled loudly at the memory, he was very vocal about his vote against Barricade staying. The decision for Barricade to remain on base all came down to a vote, and to Ironhide’s surprise the majority voted yes. Even Bumblebee voted yes which made no sense to Hide by the way. Ironhide has been fighting by Optimus’s side for eons but he'd be a hypocrite if he said he agreed with every decision that the Prime made. But Prime was confident in Barricade’s supposed redemption. Maybe he saw something that Ironhide couldn’t in the ex-con.
Just as the thought crossed his mind the med bay doors swooshed open. Speaking of the devil Optimus stride into the bay taking long slow steps. Though half his face was covered by the battle mask Ironhide could see the disappointment in Optimus’s optics.
This was going to be one hell of a lecture.
*You fought him! In front of everyone!*
“Oh I’m sorry, should I have taken him to dinner first?”
Barricade huffed when he decided to meet Bee in one of the storage units he thought there would be less lecturing.
Bumblebee crossed his arms over his chassis optics swivelling into pins.
*I'm serious Barricade, that wasn't a good idea.*
“I know that Bee, but what am I supposed to do! Everywhere I turn around this place I’m disrespected! Ironhide was completely unreasonable out there!” Barricade’s frustration bubbled to the surface and erupted. Barricade dropped his helm into his servos, his frame shaking in anger.
“It was fine everything was fine, hell even the humans weren't the worst part. But that overgrown tincan just kept making slick little comments. He had something to say for every little step I made! Poking and poking and poking, so why am I wrong for reacting?
*Cad-*
“So what if I threw the first punch, he deserved it.
*Yes but Cad-*
“Bumblebee, I don't want to talk about this anymore.”
And though Bee wanted to argue he could hear the exhaustion in Cade’s voice. The last couple months, hell the last couple of years have been difficult to say the least. They had each other but unlike everyone else they couldn’t be as public or peaceful as they desired.
Bee was ecstatic that him and Barricade were sparkmates and that he could see his mate every day, but at what cost? Was Barricade even happy here, could they ever be happy here?
Suddenly Barricade chuckled, his helm still down.
“You're very noisy.”
Bumblebee laughed as he pushed off the all he was accompanying.
*Tomorrow will be better I promise.* Bumblebee said gently.
He then cradled Cade’s face taking in every knick, cut, and dent. The ruby optics he’s spent a lot of time gazing into were dull on the left side. A long deep mark ran down them, any deeper and Bumblebee assumed that Barricade would have lost his vision completely. The thought made something burn deep in his core. He wasn’t mad at Barricade entirely, his rage was pointed at Ironhide. Sure Barricade wasn’t the easiest mech to deal with but Ironhide knew how to compose himself better than this. So far getting Barricade acclimated has been a lot harder than Bee thought.
Bumblebee traced a digit across Cade’s mouthplates, tilting the mech's helm towards him. Once Cade’s optics settled on him Bee bent down and placed a kiss on the mech's lips. It started off slow , both mechs indulging in the peace of the moment. Lips lazily drag against each other, glossas slowly peeking out and rolling over one another. No drills, no weapons, just two mates who pretended they had all the time in the world.
Luckily Cybertronains didn't need oxygen and could revel in these kinds of activities. The kiss started to become heavier, soon the sounds of their cooling fans clicked on. Barricade’s servos found their way to Bee’s midsection, gripping the plating he found. They dipped into sensitive seams that made Bee sigh in pleasure. Cade’s servos started to descend grazing thick thighs, he moved inwards and up, Cade's digits seemed drawn to the heat radiating from behind Bee’s panel cover. The mere thought of that panel snapping open revealing the plump valve, and rigid spike that occupied inside made Barricade’s helm spin.
Bee felt Cade stop by his panel, he could feel his digits toying with the entrance seams and the action made Bee want to scream. All the Autobot could do was buck his hips impatiently. Bumblebee could feel his valve clenching around nothing, lubricant threatening to spill over and escape through his seams. Bumblebee wanted no need for Cade to do Something. A whine escaped his Bee’s vocalizer from the thought.
Barricade broke the kiss, hesitantly raising an eye ridge. Don’t get Cade wrong he had no problem taking Bumblebee right here and now, but teasing was too fun to resist.
~What is my love hmm, what do you need?~ Cade all but purred to Bee, he removed his servos from the inside of Bee’s thighs dragging them up his aft instead. Barricade’s own modesty paneling felt tight and restricting. His spike seemed to pulse with anticipation of finding itself buried deep inside Bumblebee. Cade’s valve had also started to slick up, all things considered they could switch tonight. But considering how needy his mate was proving to be, Barricade decided it would best to do the spiking.
~Barricade, please?~
~Please what? What do you need me to do?~
Bumblebee’ doorwings pressed up against Barricade’s chassis as his legs spread as wide as they could go. Once Barricade noted he settled he finally allowed his spik to release, the cold air making the con suck in a quick breath. Bumblebee looked down at the large spike, red biolights that seemed to burn from their luminance, a fat bead of lubricant at the tip being the literal cherry on top.
The sight, though familiar, was always welcomed. While staring Bumblebee didn't notice Barricade reach for his interior node until the con pinched it between two digits. The action made Bee jump bucking his hips upward. If he could turn around properly Bee would punch Barricade so hard he’d be seeing stars. Barricade just chuckled and gently massaged the node. Taking in how hard the bulb felt rolling it gently.
Bee chirpped back arching from Cade’s chassis, thighs stiffing up from the movement.
At this rate Bumblebee was going to overload from the foreplay alone, and normally that didnt bother him. But when Bee says he needs his mate he means it.
With a fiery determination Bumblebee grasped Barricades' shaft, his hold firm enough to send his message across.
Taking his over servo Bumblebee spread the folds of his valve, a puddle was starting to form on Cade’s thighs from how much was dripping out. His node was bright and overly sensitive. The lips glistened when he rubbed his digits up and down. Bee wasn't going to last long at all. Barricade finally content with the current state of his partner decided to help.
Grabbing Bees’ hips he helped lift the bot slightly off his lap, a trail of lube connected them together. Once high enough Barricade took his spike back and lined it up to Bee’s valve. The sheer heat sent a thrill up Cad’es spine. Once lined up Barricade readjusted his grip, then suddenly slammed Bee down his spike.
The motion causes the both of them to let out a series of moans. Every biolight, and junction of Cade’s spike reached every part of Bee’s valve. Stretching the mesh lining in ways Bee didn’t think was possible. His valve contracted as his processor tried to catch up the rest of his frame. In his haze Bumblebee could feel something new, and it wasnt the bond. No this time Bumblebee felt the tip of Cade’s spike hitting a new, deeper area inside him. Bumblebee rolled his hips making the tip graze this new area.
Before he could ponder deeper on it Barricade started to take charge. The con leaned back, taking Bumblebee with him.
~What are yo-
Barricade bucked his hips up slamming his spike up, causing Bee to lurch from the force. The sebastian ripped though Bee’s frame as Cade relentsley fucked him.The room was filled with chirps and sighs from both mechs. Their frames felt like they were on fire, the bond open and free, their consciences bleeding into one another.
Their lower halves completely covered in fluids, Bee could only grasp at Cade’s arms trying to hold on. That spot deeper inside Bee was making its presence known again with every thrust. It seemed to move with every motion threatening to give way. He was about to overload that's for sure, with the way his valve gripped Cade. But something about this felt different, as if he was forgetting something, something important.
~Bee, fuck Bee Im g-gonna, I-Im~
What was he forgetting? What was so important abou-
*MY SEAL!*
Suddenly Bee jumped up off of Cade's lap, though abrupt Cade still overloaded fluid shooting out and landing on the floor. Once the con realized what happened he shot up from the chair.
“Are you okay? Did I hurt you?” Barricade looked Bee up and down trying to find any source of pain or discomfort.
*No, no, I'm okay, it's just. You were hitting my gestation seal, I panicked because it felt like it was going to break! And if you had broken it I-*
“Would have gotten sparked.” Barricade stated as he put two and two together.
The two sighed as the adrenaline started to wear off. There was a pregnant pause as their frames cooled down.
“I didn't know you had a seal?.” Barricade said in an attempt to break the silence and peak his curiosity. After all these years it never occurred to Cade that Bee had a gestation seal installed.
*Well when we started to meet up more regularly I asked Ratchet to install one. He refused at first, suggesting I was too young. But once my next upgrades were due I asked him again.*
Bumblebee reached into his subspace removing a cleaning cloth from within. He started to wipe down his legs removing any trace of their coupling.
*It was embarrassing to ask for but necessary in the end. It should be fine for the next couple decades but with how rough we’ve been throughout the years I think it’s starting to give.*
Bumblebee walked over and handed the cloth to Barricade.
“Well what can we do now?” Barricade asked genuinely, wiping his frame down and returning the cloth to Bee.
*It should be an easy fix, but Ratchet is going to have some questions. I just need to figure out how to answer them.*
Before Bee could spiral into a blubbering mess Barricade wrapped his arms around his frame bringing Bee in for a tight embrace. Bee couldn't help but melt into the hold listening to the rumble of Barricade’s engine.
*I meant what I said, tomorrow will be better.* Things are different now in good and bad ways but they’ll figure it out. If they were able to get through an entire war surely they could make it through this, right?
“I doubt it, but your enthusiasm is cute so I’ll go along with it.” Barricade deadpan.
Bee gave Barricade a hefty punch on the shoulder as response.

Chapter Text
Another day in Diego Garcia meant a few things. Another blazing hot day, a new spicy dish to try in the cafeteria, and Bots getting into mischief. But for Sam Witwicky and Mikaela Banes another day meant more work and less play. The two humans hated to admit it but they were very close to burning out. The opportunities presented to them are once in a lifetime and slacking means missing out.
But come on, these kids need a break.
“That's it! I can’t do it!” Seems like Sam was first to hit his breaking point. He launched off of the sofa pacing around the apartment in an uproar. Mikaela, though feeling the same, decided to just throw her head back on the couch completely drained of energy. Sam grabbed two fistfuls of his hair yanking in different directions.
“If I have to read another page my brain will explode, like actually explode. Why the hell are there so many ways to bow? Why do Cybertronains feel the need to bow? I'm so screwed Mikaela am I screwed? There's no way I can do this, it's too much pressure, is it hot in here?”
Suddenly Sam ran to one of the apartment windows pointed towards the beach. He slammed the windows open, putting his head out and letting the salty breeze hit his face.
“You’re telling me Sam? A Cybertronains arm literally has a thousand abilities that can all be broken down into a thousand other functions. It’s like a damn rabbit hole it just never ends! And I love Ratchet, don't get me wrong but he can be such a hard ass!”
Mikaela could only throw her head in her hands in defeat a loud obnoxious sob escaping her mouth.
Both in their own states of despair neither human noticed Bumblebee’s holoform entered the apartment with a bright smile and bags of sweet treats and coffee.
*Again?*
A voice came through the speakers of Sam and Mikaela's sound system, courtesy of Jazz.
“Hey Bee.” Sam and Mikaela said in unison deadpan.
Bumblebee rolled his eyes, placing the bags down on the coffee table in the living room. He spread everything across the table in a neat order. Once done Bee headed over to the window and gently guided Sam back to the couch. He then lifted Mikaela's head, squishing her face between his hands making her giggle. Once the couple were settled Bee handed them their respected coffee orders and their favorite flavor of donut.
“Thank you Bee we needed this” Mikaela sighed in appreciation, seeming to melt after her first sip of coffee.
“Yeah you really saved us there Bee. We were in here losing it!” Sam took a large bite out of his blueberry donut, eyes closed as he savored the flavor.
Bumblebee sat across from them on the table arms behind him as he looked between the exhausted couple.
*You guys know you can take breaks right? Like days rather than a couple hours, hell even a couple weeks if you want to.* Bumblebee explained for probably the 100th time in the last 2 months. His friends just didn't seem to grasp that though their jobs were important they could easily take their time.
*You do know you guys have unlimited PTO courtesy of your government and Optimus right? Considering that the two of you helped save the world, twice.*
Sam finished his donut by throwing the last piece in the air and catching it in his mouth.
“We know, we know but this isn't a vacation, this is our livelihood! Our futures are right here on Diego Garcia! If we're going to live here and work we need to be able to keep up.” Mikaela argued back.
*That is true, but if you guys get burnt out which you are by the way. You guys wont be able to do or learn anything. It’s time for a break no if ands or buts about it!*
“Bu-”
*Nope!*
“B-but we can-”
*Uh uh!*
“Bumble-”
*La la la not listening!*
Bumblebee covered his ears and closed his eyes, refusing to budge even a little bit. These two were long overdue for a break and they were going to take one whether they liked it or not.
“Alright, alright fine. Maybe we can think about taking a small break. Like for the day or something?” Sam asked, hoping to get Bee to stop his “tantrum”.
Mikaela rubbed her face, her eyebrows drawn in concentration. After filtering through her ideas her favorite one came to light. Her face lit up a big smile on her face.
“I've got it! Boys put on your swimsuits and some sunscreen, we're going to the beach!”

Why do Cybertronians feel the need to bow? I'm so screwed Mikaela am I screwed? There's no way I can do this, it's too much pressure, is it hot in here?”
Suddenly Sam ran to one of the apartment windows pointed towards the beach. He slammed the windows open, putting his head out and letting the salty breeze hit his face.
“You’re telling me Sam? A Cybertronian’s arm literally has a thousand abilities that can all be broken down into a thousand other functions.
*Again?*
A voice came through the speakers of Sam and Mikaela’s sound system, courtesy of Jazz.
He then lifted Mikaela’s head, squishing her face between his hands making her giggle. Once the couple were settled Bee handed them their respected coffee orders and their favorite flavor of doughnut.
“Thank you Bee we needed this” Mikaela sighed in appreciation, seeming to melt after her first sip of coffee.
“Yeah you really saved us there Bee. We were in here losing it!” Sam took a large bite out of his blueberry doughnut, eyes closed as he savored the flavor.
Bumblebee sat across from them on the table arms behind him.
*You guys know you can take breaks right? Like days rather than a couple hours, hell even a couple weeks if you want to.* Bumblebee explained for probably the 100th time in the last 2 months. His friends just didn't seem to grasp that though their jobs were important they could easily take their time.
*There's no time frame you guys, just take your time.*
Sam finished his doughnut by throwing the last piece in the air and catching it in his mouth.
“We know but this isn't a vacation, this is our livelihood!
“Iv’e got it! Boys put on your swimsuits and some sunscreen, we're going to the beach!”
Before it became the current home of the Autobots, even before it was an army base. Diego Garcia was a lavish breathtaking view of crystal clear water that went on for what seemed like an eternity. Almost iridescent warm white sand, and a slight breeze that carried the taste of salt. Palm trees swayed, dancing harmoniously. It was absolutely beautiful even Ratchet had admitted one day.
The sun sat high up in the sky casting an almost choking heat. But the tall frame of Sam and Mikaela’s guardian provided more than enough shade to keep them comfortable.
Sam laid out his towel putting the corners under the sand so it wouldn't move.
“Bee are you sure you’re alright out here, sand and water don't really go with metal?”
*It’s alright Sam, Ratchet doesn't recommend overexposure but I’m fine to hang out with you guys.* Bee chuckled at his friend’s concern, he then reached into his subspace removing the packed cooler.
Back at the Apartment both Sam and Mikaela decided it wouldn't be an authentic beach day without homemade sandwiches and a variety of chips. They also packed water, sodas, fruit, and beers.
They also brought a speaker, some portable chargers, books they had no intention of reading, and the biggest container of sunscreen either human had seen.
“Sam the last time we went to the beach you couldn't move you were so sunburned, put it on.” Mikaela demanded as she adjusted her sun hat.
Sam removed his shirt, newly formed muscles flexing. “Where did you even find this?” he asked once his shirt landed on top of his towel
Mikaela kicked off her flip flops and shimmied out of her jean skirt.
“Sam. Sunscreen. Now.”
Sam complained but once Bee and Mikaela got on his case, both reminiscing about the ONE TIME he got sunburned, Sam put the sunscreen on.
Once both humans were covered, and Bee confirmed the water temperature Sam and Mikela treaded into the ocean water Bumblebee close behind them. The water was perfect and so clear the couple couldn't believe they got to live here. Mikaela let the waves wash over her eyes closed as she raised her head towards the sky sighing in pleasure. Sam once far enough dived into the water getting his eyes used to the amount of salt. Bumblebee kept a close optic on his friends especially Sam, there was no lifeguard out there so if things got hairy Bee would have gone after the humans. Not a hard task whatsoever but the day would be a lot more ideal without anyone drowning.
As the day went on the group played in the water, built sandcastles, and saw different underwater creatures that decided to make their presence known. It was a wonderful experience until Bumblebee mentioned the sharks that seemed intrigued with his pedes. Bumblebee had never seen the couple run as fast as they did out of that water.
Back on land it was decided that it was time for lunch. The couple sat down with Bee and ate to their hearts' continent. They all laughed, sharing stories and jokes among each other. The sun had moved but had not quite set. Both Sam and Mikaela had fallen asleep sharing a beach towel. Bee watched them checking their vitals every now and again. But it was clear that they were fine and Bee could relax, just a little bit. He placed his hands behind him letting his frame slouch, the sun beamed on his faceplates.
“How amusing, having fun?” The deep voice of his mate caused warmth to spread through the Autobots' frame.
*Aren't you supposed to be on training duty?* Bumblebee asked genuinely as Barricade was supposed to be nowhere near the beach. He was certain that either Prowl or Red Alert had no idea the ex con was here.
“Aren’t you happy to see me? Since you claim I'm always brooding, I decided to get some fresh air to take in my new surroundings! Barricade exclaimed sarcastically, spinning in a circle.
*I'm going to be nice to you because I’m in a good mood.*
“Not because you love me?” Barricade asked
*Oh yeah, I guess that part too*
Barricades frame rumbled as some very interesting emotions emitted over the bond. But before Barricade made his move Bumblebee blocked his advances.
*Cade I can’t, Im-*
“Babysitting?”
*No, not babysitting! But I'm their guardian if they're here then so am I.”
Barricade rolled his optics but did notice the swell of pride on Bee’s end of the bond.
“5 minutes is all I need, besides we can go right here” Barricade pointed towards a dense patch of palm trees, they were left to grow tall giving plenty of shade and coverage.
Bee looked down at Sam and Mikaela, the two still in a deep state of sleep. Feeling safe enough to do so with Bumblebee there. The scout looked at his mate again, and then back to the couple.
*5 minutes, that's it.* Bumblebee glared but feelings of excitement and arousal were prominent.
Barricade reached out helping his mate up from the sand. He led Bee towards the trees, optics on his mate the entire way.
Mikaela stirred her back hot from the sun, and sand bits crunched under her teeth. Naps on the beach sound way more romantic than they are.
“Ill be right back gotta pee” Mikaela mumbled, wiping sand off of her thighs and shaking some of the salt water out of her hair. All she got back in response from her boyfriend was snoring, thank God she argued with him to put on an abundance of sunscreen. Mikaela walked up the beach taking her time as her feet were sinking into the sand. She put a hand to her head shielding her eyes from the sun's rays.
“Hey Bee, do you mind taking me up to base?
There was no response, not even a beep. That's weird, how do you lose a giant black and yellow bot?
On a mission to not pee in the ocean Mikaela walked around hoping that her or Bee would find one another. As she walked Mikaela started to hear strange noises that seemed to get louder as she walked towards a more blocked off area of the beach. The area was covered by tall thick palm trees but Mikaela could see Bumblebee’s signature yellow peeking through. Getting closer she didn't know why but Mikaela felt the need to go unnoticed and sneak up closer.
The sounds became louder but the more Mikaela thought about it she realized the sounds she was hearing were quite familiar. The chirps and buzzing was Cybertronian, and though she wasn't fluent in it Mikaela could hear the intimate tones of the conversation. Mikaela’s nose scraped against the trunk of one of the palm trees, that's how close she was. A blush spread across Mikaela’s neck and it wasn't from the sun. She was intercepting a very private conversation and was getting ready to turn tail until she caught a glimpse of the other bot.
A black and white color scheme, sharp edges and pointed doorwings. If you look too fast you might have mistaken the bot for Prowl but Mikaela knew better than that. Her stomach dropped to her ass and her throat became dry. The only one other bot on base who could match that description, but it couldn’t be.
As her mind raced Bumble bee and the other bot moved and that's when Mikaela saw it. Bumblebee removed his face mask as the other bot placed a kiss so gentle on his lips that it made it hard to believe that Cybertronians were made of metal. The kiss also provided a new angle for Mikaela where she was able to clearly see the other bot's face. And though she couldn't believe it, didn't want to believe it there was no denying the Barricade was kissing Bumblebee. There was no awkwardness of a new coupling, this was something tender and ancient.
Mikaela didn't realize that she had been staring until four ruby optics made eye contact with her. Her breath caught in her throat, the whole world seemed to freeze. A bead of sweat rolled down her face as the sound of her own blood rushed through her ears. Though Barricade wasn't technically a Decepticon anymore Mikaela couldn't help but feel fear as he stared her down. But before she could make a move Barricade looked away from her. He closed his optics and wrapped his arms around Bee bringing their frames together.
Mikaela took the queue and walked back towards the beach. Sam was still fast asleep, his chest rising and falling almost in tune with the ocean's waves. Mikaela could only stare ahead taking in shallow breaths. Mikaela only had one thought on her mind,
“What the actual fuck.”

The crescendo of crashing waves weren't enough to ease the hammering in Mikaela’s chest.
Sam was still asleep blissfully unaware of the world shattering news his girlfriend had just discovered. Sam should know, Mikaela should tell him, right? In her mind Mikaela had already shaken Sam awake and explained what she had witnessed. That after all this time everything they have gone through Bumblebee had kept this secret from them. Their guardian who they entrust their life with, the same Guardian who would and has killed for them.
And those thoughts alone are what kept Mikaela’s lips sealed. This secret was not her own to tell. But she still couldn't shake the feeling of betrayal and funny enough she also felt anger. Mikaela understood completely why Bee had kept such a secret but her heart did not. Regardless Mikaela let Sam get his rest adamant to let him enjoy the rest of the day as he deserved. Unable to do anything else Mikaela laid down next to Sam placing her head on his chest. His skin was warm, heartbeat thrumming under her ear.
How the hell was Mikaela going to keep this secret?
*Ready to go?* Bumblebee returned to his friends carefully trekking over the sand, it was going to be a pain to get all this sand out of his joints. And the sea salt wasn't necessarily great for his paint, but it was worth it. Both Sam and Mikaela looked refreshed and youthful. A look that the Autobot hadn't seen in awhile.
Sam flashed a smile at him as he gathered up his and Mikaela’s belongings.
“Yeah I think so” Sam sighed “I didn't realize how much we needed this, I feel great! What about you Kaela?” Sam asked, placing a kiss on her cheek.
“This was perfect, we seriously need to do this again!” she responded easily.
Bee took it upon himself to look over Sam and Mikaela’s schedules attempting to find days that the two were both so they could share more beach days together. By the time the couple were packed up Bee was able to schedule multiple days 3 years in advance for the couple.
The sun began to set casting the island in an orange and pink halo. It was breathtaking to say the least and Bumblebee never grew tired of the natural beauty that Earth presented everyday.
Bee rolled to a stop upon entering the parking lot of the apartment complex. Sam and Mikaela got out, Bee activated his holoform to help the couple bring their items inside. Once everything was placed inside Mikaela claimed the shower first leaving Bee and Sam to their own devices.
They walked back to Bee’s altmode and the pair leaned on his hood. The scene was very nostalgic, the pair were transported back to a simpler time. They had spent many nights like this, sometimes Bee would play CD's from Sam's collection, other times they would pop a tape into the VCR in the garage. The ocean waves could still be heard in the distance, seagulls flying high above their heads. They did not speak, simply enjoying the tiny window of peace.
“Hey Bee?” Sam started, his arms behind his head, eyes closed, a veil of contentment laid over Sam’s face.
*Yes Sam?*
“I'm going to marry Mikaela.” Sam said clear as day.
Bumblebee startled a honk escaping from his frame. The noise made Sam jump, landing on the ground.
“BEE!” Sam complained, rubbing his back side as he picked himself up from the ground.
*I'm sorry Sam I-I just wasn't expecting that!*
The young man dusted himself off, “Why? Do you think I..shouldn't"? A blush spread across Sam’s cheeks he started to wring his hands together in nervousness.
*Sam, how could you ask that? If you don’t marry her you’re an idiot.*
“Uhh ouch Bee.”
*I'm sorry but you need to hear it, you and Mikaela’s love is a beautiful thing that should be celebrated!*
Bee felt a surge of pride flow though his frame. His friends were going to get married! A tradition that Bee felt was very similar to sparkbonding in his optics. Two people standing before their loved ones proclaiming their love and joining their families in holy matrimony. Bee was already looking up venues unbeknownst to Sam.
Sam placed himself back on Bee’s hood with a huff. Sam had been thinking about this for quite awhile now. But this was the first time he had said aloud let alone to someone else. Sam looked evil reincarnated in the eye and lived to tell the story, yet his palms still sweated when Mikaela simply gazed at him. Sometimes he still felt like that class clown trying to sell his grandfather's glasses.
“I know, I know it’s just we've been through so much together and haven't really talked about something like this. But I love her, God I love her and I want to make her happy you know? Our lives aren't what we imagined them to be but we wouldn't change it for the world. I just want her to know how much I appreciate her staying by my side through all of this. Loving me through all of this, Mikaela’s the one I just know. Bee?”
*Yes Sam?*
“Im so fucking scared Im going to mess this up.”
Bee laughed but understood the weight that Sam’s words held.
*You’re not going to mess up.*
“How do you know?”
*Because you’ve got me and Im going to personally make sure you don’t fuck this up*
Sam huffed a laugh that rolled into full blown laughter. The human gently tapped Bee’s hood, a familiar loving touch that let Bee know that Sam was appreciative.
*Alright so I just sent you a link to the perfect ring!”
As soon as Bee said that Sam’s phone chimed. Once out of his pocket Sam pressed the link curious in what Bee’s idea of the “perfect ring” was.
Sam felt his heart drop to his ass as soon as his eyes glanced over at the price.
“A $112,00 RING?”
*Too much?*
Notes:
Guess who got a job? Guess who's miserable now?
I swear the focus will shift back to Bee and Cade I PROMISE. But Sam and Kaela are so cute guys cmon!

Sam felt his heart drop to his ass as soon as his eyes glanced over at the price.
“A $112,00 RING?”
*Too much?* Bumblebee chirruped innocently
“A $112,00 ring, I'm surprised the boy didn't have a heart attack.” Though Bumblebee couldn't see his face he could hear the smirk in Barricade’s voice. The pair comfortably laid on Bumblebee's berth, simply enjoying each other's presence. The video cameras in the hallway on a constant loop to not raise any questions.
Bumblebee found himself laying on top of Barricade; the thrum of his mate’s spark calmed him immensely. Barricade cradled his helm with one arm and ran his digits across Bumblebee's backplates with the other.
*It was a nice ring okay! Besides I know Sam will find something perfect for Mikaela. But he does want me to help with the proposal, and I'm honored don’t get me wrong but I don't know anything about proposal and what i-*
Barricade threw his head back with a long dramatic sigh cutting off Bee’s third tangent of the night. Bumblebee’s excitement and anxiety about the human marriage was cute yet also exhausting.
*Okay first you’re an asshole, and second I’m serious everything needs to go perfectly!* Different scenarios swarmed through Bee’s helm, some were good and some were not. He was ecstatic but there were so many variables when it came to Sam and Mikaela's marriage. As their guardian Bee wanted nothing but the best for them but he knew he couldn't control every aspect there was just no way.
“If you keep it up I'm shutting down my side of the bond, stop worrying idiot.” Barricade huffed, shifting his weight to throw Bee to his side. Bee rolled his optics but turned so his back was to Barricade’s chest, once comfortable Barricade wrapped an arm across Bee’s midsection keeping him in place.
“I'm sure the humans will be fine Bee, they'll marry and multiply and live semi long lives. The boy and his mate have made it this far, I'd be surprised if something like holy matrimony tore them apart.”
*Wow, I think that's the nicest thing you've said about them so far?*
“I understand you're their guardian but there's more to it, isn’t there?” Barricade didn't want to hide his curiosity any longer. Underneath every other emotion was this sadness that Barricade didn't understand was coming from. It spawned not too long after Sam’s announcement. It was small, barely noticeable but there nonetheless.
The bond exposes everything between a pair. Like being stripped down to your very essence, there's nothing to hide. There was more, so much that Bee didn't know where to start. So he just said what he had processed so far.
*They remind me of us, what we could have had.*
“Bee?”
*Let me explain I- Bee paused his spark skipping a beat. He knew he should turn around and say this face to face, but it was so much easier this way. And Barricade didn't seem to mind as he only pressed his frame closer providing comfort.
*Barricade, I love you despite everything. But let's be honest the journey to get here hasn't been pretty. It's been ugly, hostile, and violent. Sometimes I wanted to give up, that everything I was fighting for was pointless. But Sam and Mikaela, they gave me hope again. Hope in the future, hope in you, hope in this. And sometimes my spark hurts because yeah were mates now, but if anyone found out-*
Barricade’s frame hitched “I know.” It was all Barricade could physically say but the bond revealed feelings that reflected Bumblebee's own. Something heavy and unspoken between the two of them.
“Im not sure what the future holds for us and I'd be lying if I said staying on this base is ideal. And the humans are annoying, the sand irritates the shit out of me an-”
*Do you have a point?*
“Yes” Barricade sighed “My point is no more fighting, no more running I will remain right here by your side. And maybe one day we’ll have a proper bonding ceremony.” Barricades started causing Bumblebee to chuckle.
*A proper bonding ceremony? That doesn't sound bad at all!*
Barricade jumped up, placing himself between Bee’s legs. “I’ll give the humans one thing though,” Barricade placed a kiss between Bumblebee's neck and shoulder. “A honeymoon is a very interesting concept.”
Bee’s optics brightened with excitement wrapping his legs around Barricade, holding him in place.
*I agree* Bumblebee all but purred, sending an open command to his array.
*I love you.*
“I love you.”
On another side of the island Sam and Mikaela laid in an afterglow, a peaceful moment that the couple dared not waste. Mikaela was asleep, her hand placed over Sam’s chest. Sam simply stared at her taking in every detail of her face, never in a thousand years did he think his life would turn out this way. But he wouldn't change it for anything in the world.
“I love you Kaela.”
And even though Mikaela was supposed to be asleep she heard Sam. She shared the same sentiment, but a boulder of guilt sat heavily in her stomach.
Mikaela needs to talk to Bumblebee, and it cannot wait.

Chapter Text
2 weeks has passed since the infamous Beach Day. Everyone had easily fallen back into their routines of work and studies. Everyone except for Mikaela.
“Am I boring you Ms.Banes?”
Mikaela shot up in her seat sending her pencil flying and her book sliding off her lap.
“Of course not Ratchet I’m sorry!” Mikaela stammered as she bent down to retrieve her items. “I’m just a little distracted I guess?”
“Distracted? That’s an understatement..
“I’m sorry I just have a lot on my mind right now” Mikaela could barely explain her words laced with frustration. From his scabs Rachet could see that Mikaela’s heart rate was up a bead of sweat over her brow. Whatever was bothering was a lot more serious that Rachet anticipated.
Rachet held out his hand insuring that Mikaela step on. She was hesitant at first but did accept the invitation. Once she was safely centered on Rachet’s servo he walked over to his private quarters. This place was a familiar location for Mikaela, so much so that there was designated area built just for her. It was simple in design, a desk, chair, a bean bag chair, and a twin bed covered with her own notes and a stuffed animal that Sam had won her at the fair.
Ratchet placed Mikaela down letting her get comfortable before taking a seat on his own chair. The idea of a giant roller chair is humorous as it is handy. Mikaela plopped down in the bean bag with a huff.
“Well out with it…”
Chapter Text
He stood there looming over them with his wide frame. 4 Piercing optics, talons that could easily puncture one’s frame, and an array of sharp denta his canines adorned with gold rather than silver. The Autobots stood still concerned that any sudden movements would cause the Decepticon to snap and end them right then and there.
And on his shoulder sat Bumblebee swinging his pedes back and forth; a large shit eating grin on his face.
“Hey guys so this is Barricade and he’s gonna crash here for a few days no biggie.” Bumblebee explained all the while looking at Barricade as if he was the most innocent creature on the planet.
Optimus was truly at a loss for words.
“What’s going on?” Sari asked walking into the bots makeshift base. The young hybrid looked up taking in the scene before her. “Hey Cade didn’t expect to see you again so soon!”
Optimus, Ratchet, Bulkhead, and Prowl all turned their helms gwaking at Sari who flew up and joined Bumblebee on Barricade’s other shoulder.
“S-Sari, you know him? Bulkhead was the first to break out of his stupor his optics blinking rapidly.
“Well yeah he’s Bumblebee’s boyfriend!”
“Pardon me?” Ratchet asked one optic twitching with stress.
“But Bee he’s a y’know” Bulkhead made a gesture with his servo “A Decepticon.”
“Actually Bulkhead was it? Barricades was voice was deep and didn’t hold much emotion. It sent a chill down the Autobot’s spines.
“I haven’t pledge allegiance with the Decepticons in eons. Instead I’ve been spending my time aiding bots affected by the war. I alliance with a more neutral group if that makes sense?”
“NO IT DOESNT MAKE ANY SLAGGING SENSE! BUMBLEBEE WHAT THE HELL IS HE DOING HERE? OPTIMUS ARE YOU REALLY GOING TO JUST STAND THERE!” Ratchet exploded, fists balled as he yelled. Ratchet had seen a lot of things in his life but a neutral ex con was not one of them. And he’d be damned if Barricade stepped foot anywhere inside their base.
“Enough Ratchet let’s just all calm down..
