Work Text:
"Oh my goddess, hero, you're doing this on purpose!" Revali said, as Link shifted. Link looked at him, and shook his head. "Trying to adjust and be comfortable," he responded which earned him a huff from the archer, "Well, it's making me uncomfortable!" Revali just wanted to snuggle but Link, being the hero he is, just had to be difficult.
Link got off the bed and looked at him, "I can leave..." Revali acted offended, and grabbed Link, "Hero. We have to stay in, otherwise, you're gonna get sick. There's a blizzard outside, besides, if you get sick, I will not take care of you," Link knew Revali would but would act like he didn't care. Link relented, putting down his things "Fine, but please let's not fight."
"Fine," the Rito huffed, letting his prideful nature show. Link rolled his eyes, as he walked towards the bed to reset the blankets. Revali gazed upon the storm, and seeing that while the storm was getting less intense, it still was too unsafe to go outside. He noticed while the winds weren't as rapid, the snow still falling, as if a being sent from above was warning them, daring them to step one foot outside the safety of the cabin.
"Good news, the worst of the storm has passed us by," Revali said, to which Link paused, "Bad news?" Revali sighed, "Well, the bad news is we may be stuck in here for a while."
Revali walked over to Link noticing the bags under his eyes, and noticing the blankets weren't done right, "Let me help, otherwise you're gonna catch a cold if you sleep like this." He said, before carefully helping Link set up the bed. Link let a tired groan, but got up and began to set up the bed. He wasn't too worried about it, after all, even if there were Yiga soilders about, Link and Revali could put their differences aside to work together.
Some champions didn't appreciate Revali judging the hero, but in all fairness, Revali, at the time, didn't know him and his worries were founded with concern and uncertainty. Link, couldn't blame him. Revali, built himself from scratch, worked hard to become a hero to the Rito, so Link understood his attitude towards Link was kinda justified because he didn't know Link; to him, the archer only knew that he was overshadowed by Link because he was the knight with the enchanted sword. It was reasonable that made Revali upset.
He remembers when he was first found by Revali in a snowstorm on the verge of hypothermia. Surprisingly, his feelings towards Link changed like the temperature did.

Western Hebra Region, 06:45am.
Link was freezing, trying to intercept an attack from monsters but one Lizalfos managed to knock Link back causing him to fall and hit his head against a massive rock. The weather took a turn for the worst, as Link was left near that rock, and when he finally woke, Link struggled to stand. His whole body hurt, he felt so cold and tired, and so upset as he had failed to secure the area. 'Gotta get back,' Link thought, standing wobbly for a bit, 'Must tell the Princess the mission was a failure'. As he stood, the world spun, as the winds howled and roared, Link's hands began to hurt from the frostbite. The blizzard raged on, its cold breath felt throughout Hebra's domain.
"N-need warmth..." He said, as his lips chattered. He was so cold. He had run out of all levels of Cold Resistance potions, his body ached. He walked south, towards the hebra region but barely had any strength to stand. While on the walk, Link suddenly began to feel warmer, despite it being so cold. Link smiled at his good luck. Unfortunately, that smile of relief didn't stay long, as it died the minute he noticed wolves began following him, looking for a good snack... Link felt tired, and overheated. He wish he could throw his clothes off but couldn't; not right now, even if the heat was becoming unbearable. Scared for his life, Link did the one thing he could do...
Call for help.
"Help! Please..." It wasn't loud enough, so he began to run, only to stumble and fall down a cliff. Link stood in freezing clothes, however to him it was too hot. He had to get cool, as it was becoming too much; he began to take off the scarf and the shirt. That's when he felt it. A gush of wind, and as he began to stumble, something caught him, stopping him from taking off the clothes and falling to the ground."R-Revali?" He asked. Sure enough, Revali was there, holding Link to asses the hero. The Rito noticed how cold he was, so he pulled out a potion for the poor hero to consume to help heal him from his ailment. He then took Link back to Rito village where Link was nursed back to help until Zelda arrived and took him back to Hyrule Castle.
Oddly enough, Revali wasn't seen until after the meeting a week later.
-----
Link looked at Revali, "So... that day in Hebra. You saved me, you could've left me there and you didn't. Why? What happened while I was unconscious?" Link asked. Revali didn't look at him. Sure, he acknowledged the hero's question, however said nothing in response. Revali sighed before putting the blanket on the bed. "Hero... you do know you were severely ill because of that day, right?"
"I do," Link responded, "...then you must know that the Ritos took care of you when I was away." Link paused, as that meant Revali did most of the work taking care of Link so when he was away, others in the village took care of him. Link saw that Revali looked upset, and decided they would discuss it later, "So... I take it we're still on for snuggles, or are you-" Link asked trying to tease him but Revali looked at him and picked Link up, shaking his head.
"Hush." He said, putting Link on the bed, "You certainly have a mouth, don't you? So mouthy..." Link snickered before Revali pulled him towards him, "and yet, never chatty with the others." Revali spoke. Link smiled being spooned by his boyfriend, not caring for the small remarks Revali made. The storm raged, yet the two kept warm, snuggling as the blizzard raged one final time. Revali sighed and began to look at Link when he noticed Link fast asleep, snuggling against him, and as hours went by, his eyes grew heavy and Revali yawned. The archer felt better knowing the hero trusted the champion to keep him safe during a harsh blizzard.
That's all the reassurance he needed.
