Chapter Text

The dog whimpered as he stood back up, he limped over to where he heard the fellow barks of his pack. He desperately tried to claw his way up but failed. Walking through the giant sewer pipe his ears perked up in alarm as a door opened seemingly on its own.

He hesitatingly walked through in between the bars and into a strange and unfamiliar territory, it smelled of trash and decay… with a scent he didn’t understand but stayed weary of. A tall chain link fence stopped him from continuing, he hopped on to a large container and very ungratefully jumped over the fence. He licked his injured leg and stood on it again walking at normal speed once more, the small noises of the cameras caught in his ears the red dot of them following its movements. The large dog jumped as a set of TVs turned on with an arrow while say ‘this way’.

Eventually after jumping on barrels to not fall into water, using a bucket to stop a fan, and scaling across roofs while track blue paw print behind the dog came across a weird metal being. Creeping over to not scare it as he was sniffing the being it suddenly came to life erupting a growl from the canine until it fell down… dead. The dog carefully trotted through the city even wagging its tail a bit until weird creatures with big glowing eyes stood in his way, he growled barring his teeth until the small creatures charged at him.

He clawed and bit at each one he could until it became to much prompting him to run. He ran dodging the ones that jumped on him and jumping over the ones that ran at him until he had to jump and barely make his way in a window.
A large set of TVs turned on showing the dogs face with arrows pointing and the dog followed each sign that he could find.

The dog walked into a flat walking through until it saw a keyboard laid on a mattress, the dog stood on the mattress accidentally standing at n the keyboard. Unknown to the dog a door opened from wall. The dog took each power core in its jaws and placing them in their ports, knocking over the shelves and pawing a levers eventually with a small drone in its jaws it placed it on the counter in the weird box.

The drone sparked and fell to the ground leaving the dog to tilt its head and sniff the drone backing up in surprise as the drone flickers to life. The drone flew near the dogs nose before backing up.
“It worked. I’m free, thank you.” The drone spoke which made the large dog’s tail wag. “I couldn’t believe the cameras. A dog in the Dead City.” The more the dog heard the drone speak the faster it’s tail wagged
“I’m… I can’t remember my name. It seems my memory is corrupted… I’ve been trapped in the electronic network for so long.” The drone sounded solemn which made the dog’s ear lower. “I remember working for a scientist, you can call me B-12 since it says that in my casing.” The large dog happily let out a bark with its tail wagging happily.

“It’s dangerous in the Dead City, but you seem like you how to handle yourself. Let’s get out of here, follow me.” With that dog happily trotted behind the drone now named B-12. “That key unlocks the door. I remember that much, let me get it for you.” B-12 then took the key that was hanging from the cork board. “Low battery already… come over here.” The dog tilted it’s head at B-12 getting briefly quiet but still following the drone.

A strange black harness laid on a stand in its own light.
“You’re going to have to put this on.” And then B-12 took the harness and put it on the large dog, it didn’t try to take it off but seemed completely unaware of the harness even being on them. If B-12 could he would have smiled at the large dog… come to think of it a very large dog but maybe not he hasn’t seen a dog for a while so maybe it was just normal sized.

The journey was fun sure maybe some creepy bug things could be seen but other than that B-12 enjoyed having the canine at his side, especially when it wagged its tail as he spoke to it. The two sadly came to a roadblock, it appeared that the only way in to the ‘safe zone’ was a bucket attached to an automatic cord.
“Oh no.” The dog whimpered at hearing that. “It appears that your too big for the bucket.” B-12 stayed floating as the dog sat down while staring until it walked to the bucket seemingly trying to squeeze itself in it.
“Friend! What are you doing?” B-12 worried the bucket would break under the dog’s weight but it somehow stayed intact long enough for them to cross the giant stretch that was covered in the dangerous bugs.

B-12 was astonished at the fact they were able to make it at all but before B-12 could ask the pup about it the two wandered into an alleyway away from the bugs. What caught both of theirs attention was what appeared to be a robot sweeping, the dog’s tail wagged excitedly at the sight quickly making its way towards the bot. But as they got closer the bot appeared scared dropping the broom they had and quickly pressing a button before running away.

This sent the dog into chasing the robot but lost them and quickly saw several others running and hiding as it wandered through hearing their sounds of distress. The two walked up to where a single bot stood stoically with a staff while wearing a red robe.
