Chapter Text

Hello!! so this is a random Ninjago one shots book! these one shots just happen from the weird depths of my brain. For most of these I don't even know what was going on in my brain when writing them.

I do take requests! I will write almost anything. except for y/n /x reader. and I won't be writing most boyxboy or girlxgirl stuff I'm sorry😭😭😭.

also I prob won't do any llorumi. but I might do one but not where they're together. just ..you'll see.

Chapter Text

"Okay everyone. we have to split up for this one. Nya and Sora will go to the library to try and find more information about the stuff we need, Arin, riyu and I will go back to that administration place, kai and Wyldfire will go to the corn maze on the outside of the main city, and Zane will stay here to protect the monetary and the city (I'm so sorry, I love him but that's just what the show did to him. and idk what to do😭😭)." Lloyd says as he explains the mission.

"wait- corn maze?" kai asks.

"yes."

"what's in a corn maze?"

"you guys have to find a box which holds important information to help us. okay? its probably hurried somewhere. it's red I believe."

"okay then."

~later~ (I'm lazy)

"this is gonna take forever! ugh!" Wyldfire complains, as she sits on an old tree stump in the middle of the corn maze. it's late and dark. and they still haven't found whatever that weird box is.

"hey, be patient. it might take a while." kai says, sitting down next to her.

"but it's already been a long while!" she growls, and complains. "I want action! not this stupid mission trying to find a stupid red box thats probably not even real!" she yells loudly, standing up, as birds flying away.

"hey calm down. we'll find it. we just have to regroup, things like this takes time-" he stops abruptly, as something moves in the darkness in between corn stalks.

they both notice it. someone or something is there.

"who's there?!" kai yells into the darkness. both kai and Wyldfire lights up their hand with their power, ready to attack.

moments of silence pass before something gets thrown into the middle, out from the darkness. it takes a few seconds for kai to register what the item is. then he does.

a grenade.

"Shit! grenade! RUN!" in one swift moment, he grabs wyldfyre's arm and drags her into back into the corn maze. a few seconds later the grenade goes off and explodes. the explosion send kai and Wyldfire flying.

"wyldfyre! go go go run!" kai says as he tries to get up.

"who is this person!?" she yells back.

"I don't know. but no time for questions right now! JUST RUN!" they both get up and start running again.

a few more minutes of running, until three random people in black outfits appears out of no where with guns.

"SPLIT UP!" kai yells to wyldfyre.

"ARE YOU STUPID? BECAUSE THARS A STUOID IDEA!"

"THAT DOESNT MATTER RUGHT NOW! JIST GO THAT WAY AND WE'LL MEET BACK LATER! DONT DIE!"

"FINE!"

they both run in seperate ways to out run these random people.

Kai's running fast. his legs start to hurt. it's pitch black and he can't see a thing. he's just running through the corn maze, probably getting a bunch of small scratches from the corn stalks. he can hear footsteps chasing after him. he dodges a few bullets. he wonders if wyldfyre is okay.

kai stops for a quick second to catch his breath. he's breathing heavily from being out of breath. he hears footsteps still running.

"okay" he breathes out. "no more running." kai gets in a fighting position with his fire in his hands. but he hesitates when he hears quiet groans from around him. then….nothing. he doesn't hear any footsteps, breathing or bullets being shot.

he puts his fire away and is about to go search for wyldfyre, when he gets attacked from behind by a person he can't see in the darkness. kai tries fighting this person, but they're honestly better than him. and in less than 10 seconds, he's on the ground with this person on top of him, holding him down.

kai is very scared for his life right now because he feels the cold metal feeling of a knife against his throat.

"wait please!" kai says pleading, putting his hands up in surrender.

he lights up one hand with fire to see who this person is.

the recognition comes right away. and all the breath in his body leaves when he looks at who it is. there's a massive lump in his throat. he can't breathe. he can't only stare into those same auburn eyes.

"skylor?" kai manages to breathe out.

skylor on the other hand, recognizes him. he can tell from the way her eyes went from very serious to more soft. but as if not recognizing him, her eyes go back to have that terrifying murderous look.

"kai?" she asks.

"yes! holy shit! it's been so long!" kai says excitedly, sitting up. but only to be pushed back down with force, knife still on his neck.

"sky? what are you doing? it's me!"

"prove it." skylor says. her voice flat, and her face unreadable. "tell me something only the real kai would know."

"uh, is this not a big enough clue?" kai says as he gestures towards the fire coming out of his hand.

"oh come on. anyone could do that if they knew what they were doing. for all I could know, you could be the master of form or something." she says, with determination.

"okay uh…" he thinks. what do only I would know? "uhm…you kissed me first?"

"details."

"We were outside the monestary on the steps, at sunset. it was after everyone had helped re build it. you were staying over. and we were talking about us. and we had just made it official. then you yanked down on my shirt and kissed me. you said I was your first ever boyfriend. we laughed from jokes from each other. then we both went inside. also we both knew that I was your first kiss." he smiles from recalling that happy memory.

skylor gasps lightly as the thought re enters her mind. her eyes go soft and tears start to form. in one quick moment she attacks him in a huge hug. "is it really you?" she asks quietly, full emotion in her voice. her legs are somehow wrapped fully around his waist. he's sitting up and hugging her back.

"yes. it's me." he breathes back, tears in his eyes.

she exhaled against his neck. taking up his warmth. remembering him.

"hi." he says into her hair.

"hi." she replies chuckling.

"wait was that you fighting those guys earlier?"

"yup"

"huh. cool. good job"

"thanks hotshot." she smirks.

another couple moments if silence takes place.

"god I missed you." kai says, still hugging her tightly.

"I missed you too."

a couple minutes pass. kai feels wetness on his neck. "you're crying" he says playfully.

"shut up. you are too" skylor sniffles back.

that he couldn't argue.

they just stay like that, tangled in each others arms, and silently sobbing into each other. something they both have never done.

it's been a while. they're both just in the corn maze hugging still. Kai's midn is drifting places. then he remembers why he's here, and who's he with. shit. wyldfyre.

"fuck!" kai says loudly jolting his head up.

"what is it?" skylor asks worriedly, getting off of him.

"uh it's hard to explain. but someone was here with me and I have to find her. come on!"

"uh- okay-" she barely says before he's up and walking.

"who are we looking for?" she asks.

"uh she's a girl, her name is wyldfyre. when we got shot at, we split up. she has bright red hair, like you, and some sort of fire power, I don't really know to be honest. she's hella crazy tho. probably because she was raised by a dragon." kai rambles out.

"okayy then!"

it's been half an hour and they still can't find wyldfyre.

"god dammit!" kai exclaims.

"kai, you need to calm down!" skylor says calmly.

"No I can't calm down! what if those assholes with guns got her? what if she's lost? what if she's bleeding out somewhere or dead?! I can't just calm down! she's my responsibility! if she gets hurt, it's my fault! so no, I will not calm, Infact I will search this place until- AHHH" he says as he gets takled to the ground.

"HA! I found you, you rat!" the crazy redhead yells.

"thank the first spinjitzu master you're okay!" kai says relieved.

after both kai and wyldfyre stand up. and kai brushes off the dirt. wyldfyre notices the other redhead here.

"who's she?" she asks.

"oh yeah. uh", kai starts and clears is throat. "wyldfyre this is skylor, my girlfriend from before the merge happened. and skylor this is wyldfyre, one of the new ninja that got added to our team."

"Hi, nice to meet you kid." skylor says, giving wyldfyre a light smile. "kai has told me a bit about you."

"yeah. cool to meet you too I guess."

"wait hold up- "new ninia"? what have I missed?" skylor asks

"oh yeah," he chuckles "you missed a lot. I'll explain later."

"oh also kai I found the box." wyldfyre says, holding out the red, rusty box.

kai sighs happily "yes finally! now let's go back home finally. Lloyd and the others are probably wondering why we're taking so long." he says as he and wyldfyre start walking.

"sky you coming?" he asks and holds out his hand

"oh yeah sure." skylor says as she takes his hand.

The three then made it back to the monastery. the end I guess.

Chapter Text

They won. They really won. They won against the overlord for what feels like the 100th time, but this time with the help of all their allies. Everyone was happy.

Lloyd couldn’t stop smiling for hours. Everyone helped to rebuild the monastery. I mean, everyone.

Even that one white haired girl who had switched sides at the end of the battle. She helped to defeat the overlord, yes. And lloyd was happy about that. He was happy she was good. And he still liked her.

But he knew what she'd done.

Finally, after hours and hours of work, the monastery was done. It looked great. Hell, it looked better than before!

But of course came the moment where he knew she had to go. Whether they both liked it or not.

Lloyd stood in the corner, leaning against a wall, watching the police officers approach her, then finally starting to talk to her.

He finally got enough courage to talk to her. Pushing himself off of the wall, lloyd trudged over to where she and officers were talking.

“Hello Officers, how are you today?” asked the blonde, with a kind smile on his face.

“Oh hello, green ninja. We’re doing good today.” replies the commissioner.

“Yeah, we’re just getting this one ready for prison, and then we get to go home, baby!” a random officer says.
“Johnny! Shush!” the commissioner says.”Haha, sorry dont mind him.”

“No–It’s okay. I understand.” Lloyd says back, smile dropping a bit. He glances towards where Harumi is. She’s quiet and looking down. She knows too.

“Actually, before you go, can I speak to her first? I promise it’ll be quick.” The green ninja asks, sincerely.

“Oh yeah of course. We need more coffee anyways.” the old man with ther beard says tiredly.

“Thank you, commissioner.” Lloyd says politely, giving the nice man a smile as he walks away. He turns to Harumi, “Let’s talk.” She nods as he leads them to a corner away from other people.

“So….” He starts.

“So…” She responds. Harumi sighs before saying, “Lloyd, I-”

“Don’t. Just don’t. I know you’re sorry but that doesn’t just erase everything you’ve done in the past.” Lloyd says coldly. More colder than he intended to. He could see the regret on her face.

“I know…” Harumi says, barely a whisper.

“You’re going to prison, you know that right?”

“I know that I deserve to go to prison…for all the…things…i've done. But isn’t there anything you could do?”

“Sorry, Harumi. I can’t. And even if I could, I wouldn’t want to.” He says blankly.

Lloyd knows he’s being a bit harsh. But then again, compared to what she’s done to him, this isn't much. And the others would tell Lloyd not to be this nice to her after everything she’s done to him and them. But he still hates being mean to people. Even if they are people like Harumi.

“I understand, Lloyd.” Harumi pauses for a second before saying, “Will you at least visit me?”

“Maybe. See you later Harumi.” Lloyd says before turning around and calling over the police to take her away.

“Take her away boys!” the commissioner yells as she gets handcuffed to the walls.

They make eye contact as they’re dragging her into the back of the police truck.

Lloyd watched as the woman he once loved leave him again. But this time it wasn’t really her choice. He hated seeing her go. But in his heart, he knew it was right. Harumi has done lots of crimes that will definitely give her a pretty big sentence. There’s not really much point in having any trial as well. It would be a waste of money too. Because the defendant would have the obvious plead. Guilty. Everyone would say she’s guilty. And she is.

Lloyd watches as the police truck drives away. He must be lost in thought because he doesn’t hear a certain porcupine hair guy wearing red approaching him from behind. Well until he places a hand on lloyd’s shoulder.

Lloyd startles lightly in surprise when he realizes it’s kai.

“Hey buddy, you okay?” Kai asks softly, giving him a smile.

He thinks for a second. Was he okay? Probably not. But there was also no point in lying to Kai. Kai could always see through him. Kai can see through practically everyone. How he does it? No one actually knows.

“I don't know, honestly.” The blonde says, looking at kai.

Kai nods in understanding. “It’ll be okay. It always is.”

“I know.” he says quietly.

They both just stood in silence for a few minutes, staring at nothing. Kai put his arm around his brother. Just being there.

“Lloyd, Kai! Come on, help us clean up!” They both heard Nya yell.

Kai chuckled as he turned around and ruffled Lloyd’s hair.

“Come on, Greenie, let’s go before Nya gets mad and bans our video game privileges.”
Lloyd always says he hates it when Kai ruffles his hair or calls him “greenie”. But he does actually love it. And everyone knows it but still can’t get Lloyd to actually admit it.

“Yeah, we wouldn’t want that right?” Lloyd replies, smiling.

They both start laughing as they’re walking.

Lloyd can get lost in thought about everything, later………..

Chapter Text

he couldn't fall asleep. he just can't. not when the most beautiful person, who is now his wife!, is sleeping next to him.

she looks so peaceful sleeping. her long red hair is down and everywhere. she has a small smile still lingering on her lips. her breathing is light and smooth. she's just perfect.

kai still cannot believe that they're married. it feels like just yesterday that he got.enough courage to ask her to be his girlfriend. but no, that was like 6 years ago and now they're married.

he can't sleep. so of course he wants to talk to her. he doesn't want to disturb her of course. but it's his wifeeee.

kai moves closer towards her face. "sky?..." he whispers.

"hm?..." she mumbles back.

"are you awake?..."

"eh…half asleep" she mumbles into her pillows.

"are you awake enough to talk???"

"give me a sec…." she says as she stirs, trying to wake up. she sighs as opens her eyes to her husband smiling from ear to ear.

"hi." he says smiling at her.

"hi." skylor says, giving him a small smile back. "so what is it you wanted to talk to me about?'

"I can't sleeeeep." he complains.

"and why do you that is? something on your mind?"

"Nothin much. just the fact that we're marriedddd!" kai says, the smile growing bigger.

"yes we are. and you're still drunk I see." she smiles.

his hand moves to cup her cheek. "you're beautiful."

skylor smiles and melts into his touch, meeting his goofy, childish eyes. that are filled with love and affection towards her.

"no I'm serious!! just think about it. it feels like yesterday that we just started dating, and now we're married!! that's just crazy!"

skylor laughs lightly at her (new) husband's silly antics. but Kai's heart stops. FSM, he wishes she laughed more. her laugh is like the most beautiful sound in the world to him.

he must've been quiet and staring at her for some time, because she gives him a puzzled look while still smiling, and says "what?"

"nothing. just admiring my beautiful wife." at that she smiles again. FSM, he loved it when he makes her smile. his hand moves down to rest on her waist, and slowly starts to softly draw small circles on it.

"you know," skylor says smirking, moving closer to him. "I think I'm going to like being married to you."

"yeah?" kai says back, smirking.

"yeah."

"well I think I'm also gonna enjoy this."

during all of this, kai and skylor have managed to get entangled within each other's arms. "even though you're a huge idiot, you still manage to somehow still makes my heart flutter."

kai chuckles at that. "I wouldn't have it any other way."

"neither would I." she whispers back, as their lips meet, in a soft but passionate kiss.

after a while they break apart, and eventually fall asleep in the warmth of each other's arms. and in the morning, they're both extremely hungover and practically stay in bed all day long.

Chapter Text

Cole loves cake. Cake is his best friend. Cole wants cake.

Cole saunters out of his room and down the hall to the kitchen. He could hear Lloyd, Kai and Jay yelling in the game room, most likely at video games, as he passed by. 

Cole is in the kitchen now, he can smell Master Wu tea and smoke from the other room. 

“Oh, hello Cole.” Zane says as Cole steps into the kitchen near the fridge, (where his baby is).

“Oh hey Zane. I’m just getting my cake. What you doing?” Cole says as he opens the fridge door and starts looking for his cake. 

“Oh I’m just preparing dinner for later, it’s Braised Pork Belly with Sweet Preserved Mustard Vegetable (Mei Cai Kou Rou)” Zane explains.

Cole gasps and smiles “YES! Amazing choice Zane!! It’s very good.” 

“I’m glad you like the dinner choice tonight!” 

Cole turns back to the fridge as Zane turns back to cooking. One problem. He can’t seem to find his delicious chocolate ganache cake. Hm weird. But to be fair, the fridge is a huge, cluttered mess, so it might just be hiding. Cole starts to take a bunch of things out of the fridge to find it. After like two minutes of searching, he finally decides that it’s not here. 

“Hey Zane? Have you seen my cake?” Cole asks.

“Oh. I’m pretty sure Jay took it.” Zane says calmly. 

That sentence is like fire to Cole. It sets off like a bomb in him. “I’m pretty sure jay took it.” “Jay took it”. That little piece of- 

“JAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY” Cole yells as he races down the hall to the game room and busts open the door. There he sees Kai and Lloyd on the couch playing video games, Nya on the  other chair watching them, and jay. Jay is standing behind the couch. 

“Jay you little piece of shit!” He exlaims as he stalks towards him.

“Wait- Cole what are you-” Jay gets cut off as Cole body slams him to the floor, and starts wrestling him. But Jay is fighting back. Or trying to wriggle out. 

At this point, Kai, Lloyd and Nya have all stopped what they’re doing and are now watching the drama unfold. 

“COLE WHAT ARE DOING?” jay yells while trying to fend off Cole. 

“WHERE’S MY CAKE, WALKER?!!!” 

“LET ME GO AND I’LL TELL YOU” 

Damn. Jay got him there. Fine. 

Cole grumbles as he steps off Jay and lets him go. Jay is breathing heavily and looks terrified for his life. Cole looks to his right and sees Nya, Lloyd and Kai all sitting on the edge of their seats, (well for Kai and Lloyd it’s more peering over the back of the couch), waiting for the next thing to happen. 

Jay finally stands up and pretends to brush himself off. 

“Where’s my cake Jay Gordan Walker?” Cole asks, sternly. 

Jay is fearing for his like right now. “Uhhhhh”, nervous chuckle, “So here’s the thing, Cole buddy…..” Jay rubs the back of his neck, while Cole raises an eyebrow.

“I may or may not have….eaten….it.” Jay says very nervously. 

Nya, Lloyd and Kai all gasp and whisper together. 

“Oh shit.” Cole hears Kai whisper. 

“Damn he’s really dead I guess.” Lloyd. 

“ FSM, i love Jay but holy shit is he an idiot.” Nya.

“He really is an idiot. Nya you have weird taste.” Kai. 

This earns a death glare and a slap on the head from Nya. 

“You did what?” Cole asks, very very angry. 

“I ate it! I’m really sorry!!!!” 

“Jay you little piece of shit!” He yells as he charges towards him.

Jay puts his hands in front of him in defense. “Wait, wait, wait. Wait, Cole please I’m- ARHGGHGH” Cole again tackles jay towards the ground. 

As the three others watch Cole attacking Jay on the ground, Kai whispers “Should we do something?” 

“Probably.” Lloyd whispers back. 

“Zane will probably come in eventually to break them up.” Nya whispers and they all nod. 

Just after she says that, Zane comes in. “What in the world is going on here?” 

“Jay ate Cole’s cake” Kai says.

Cole and Jay both don’t seem to notice Zane or anyone else. 

“Oh.” 

It’s been like five minutes and it’s been filled with yells and screams from Jay and Cole. Kai has resorted to filming and laughing, clearly enjoying this.  

"ENOUGH!" a sudden loud voice yells across the room. Master Wu. great. 

Cole and Jay froze. They were in trouble. 

"Cole, get off of jay." Master Wu said in a stern voice. 

Cole grumbles as he releases jay and stands up. Jay is breathing heavily and looks terrified. 

"What's happened?" Silence. "Does someone want to explain?" 

"Jay ate my cake!" cole says angrily, glancing at jay and giving him a death glare. 

Master Wu sighs and shakes his head disappointingly. "Jay, do you have anything to say for yourself?" 

"I- I didn't know it was his!!! I thought Zane made it or something!!!!" 

"I think you're lying you little shit-" 

"I SAID ENOUGH." That shuts both of them up right away. Wu sighs again, still looking at his feet. "You both are extremely irresponsible and you both are acting like children. Cole, I understand that you love cake, but you can buy a new one. No need to physically attack jay. I'm not saying that Jay can take your personal food, he shouldn't. Now do you both understand?" Jay and Cole nod rapidly. 

"I'm sorry master." Cole says quietly. 

"Me too" 

"Oh and to the rest of you," he turns to the 4 standing near the couch, their faces turns pale. "You should not just stand here and look foolish. You could've stopped this." 

"Sorry master." they all say, looking at their feet. 

"Now get out of my sight!" master Wu says, waving his hands. 

Everyone starts to leave the room and go other places around the monestary. Cole feels a hand on his shoulder. "Cole I-" 

"Don't say anything jay. I hate you." Cole says coldly as he shrugs jay's hand off his shoulder and walks to his room. He slams the door loudly behind him and locks the door. 

Outside, Jay feels warm hands intertwined with his. "Just wait till he cools off. He doesn't hate you, you know that." 

"I know."

*laterrr*

Cole is in his room hugging a pillow, sobbing quietly from anger and grief. He loves cake. He cant live without his cake. And JAY ATE HIS CAKE! It’s so mean. Cole loves his best friend, but sometimes his best friend makes him angry. Like for instance, right now. After he STOLE and ATE HIS CAKE!

Cole is sad now. He is being emo in his room currently. Grieving the loss of his favourite cake. 

Suddenly, there is a knock at his door. "Who is it?" he calls towards the door. 

The door slowly creaked open, and a certain brunette with freckles peeks his curly haired head in the door. "Hey cole…" 

Great. " What do you want jay?" he snaps. 

"I just uhm…I just wanted to say sorry." jay says quietly, looking at his feet, as he steps in the door. 

"I'm really sorry I ate your cake cole. I was hungry at like 3am last night. and I ate it. I know I shouldn't make excuses but… I'm really sorry." 

Cole sighs and looks at his own feet on his bed. "It's okay. I mean, it's not. you ate my cake. But it's fine. I over reacted. I'm also sorry for attacking you."

Jay and Cole just stare at each other before both of them break out into a huge laughing fit. Both of the guys laugh so hard they start crying. 

"This is so stupid man." Cole manages to say while laughing.

"it is. it really is" jay replies, also still laughing. 

once they both settled down from laughing. (they're still silently laughing a tiny bit still), cole says "hey listen man, I'm really sorry for attacking you and stuff. it's just I really wanted to eat my cake, you know? but it's alright, I can buy a new cake." 

Jay smiles at that. "eh, it's okay. I shouldn't have eaten your cake. I know it's your favorite flavor too. and hey! It was actually kind of funny too. I'm pretty sure Kai got it on video." they both chuckle at that. "and to what you said about buying a new cake, I still feel very sorry. so…I…"Jay explains as he reaches back outside the door and pulls back in a cake. "I got you a new cake!!!" 

Cole gasps loudly at the sight of the beautiful chocolate cake. his mouth started to water at the sight of it. He loves it. He loves cake so very much. 

"jay ... .this is…this is great! thanks man!" 

"Ah, no problem! So we're good?" 

"yeah. we're good." 

That night, Cole spent the night eating his cake and watching his favorite movies under a blanket at around 3:00 am. He then slept the rest of the day. 

Chapter Text

Kai's wide awake. Not by choice either. He's in pain and he's trying to ignore it and go to sleep but he can't. Heartburn. Heartburn is so fun. (No it isn't).

The ninja plus a few other friends are currently staying at this cabin place in Colorado, USA (theyve never actually been to Colorado or the US before) that skylor somehow owns. She said that her dad owned a bunch of places before, then when he died she inherited a bunch of stuff. Including the cabin place on a hill in the middle of the forest that they're staying in currently.

Anyway, the first night–well technically the second but they arrived at the cabin at like 1:26am so they all just went straight to bed– at the cabin, they all just had a good time, and chilled. And also drank alchohol and got drunk.

Kai's drank before, and usually his body handles it well. But sometimes (most of the time), a couple hours after drinking, he gets heartburn.

Kai sighs and looks to his right to check the clock on his bedside table. 2:46am. Well great. Here he is, lying in his bed, staring at the ceiling and trying to ignore the burning and painful feeling in his heart.

And why will kai not just get up and get some medicine, you ask? Well it's because he's extremely cozy and warm and comfy in this bed. It's one of the best beds he's ever sleeped in. He never wants to get out. That's the only reason….

Actually that's a lie.

The other reason is because his girlfriend is sleeping peacefully next to him. Jeez, he loves this.

He's never been one for long committing relationships. But he's sure as hell committed for this one.

Her hair is finally out of a ponytail for once. I mean, he's seen her hair without a ponytail before, many times. But it's still a rare sight.

fuck, she's so beautiful with her hair down. To be fair, she's always beautiful but when her hair is down she's GORGEOUS🤭🤭🤭🤭

He smiles to himself as he watches her sleep peacefully. Her slow, even breaths. Her bright red hair, literally everywhere. But it's okay. He loves it.

They've been dating for 1 year, 6 months, 2 weeks, and 4 days. Kai has loved every second of it. And yes, they have had sex before. It was….you know what, the details are for another day.

Okay that's it. He can't do it anymore. He sighs heavily as he slowly and carefully slips out of bed. His bare feet on the cold hard floor. He slowly walks over to where his bag is, and winces when he steps on a creeku board.

He carefully looks through his bag to try and find gaviscon or some sort of thing that can help with heartburns. Haha! He found his containers of gaviscon at the way bottom of his bag. He always has an extra container in his travel bag, just in case!

He smiles to himself as he opens the container and…….nothing. There's nothing. It's fucking empty.

He sighs in annoyance as he puts the container down to assess his options.

Either he tries to not die from stupid heartburn and sleep. Or wake up Skylor and ask if she has anything. But she’s sleeping, and he doesnt want to wake her up. He really doesnt want to wake her up. And he cant go through her bag to see if there’s anything because thats just an invasion of privacy.

Well shit.

He looks over at her sleeping form on the bed, and sighs agaib.

He might get killed tonight. By his girlfriend. For waking her up at almost 3:00am. Because he has stupid heartburn and needs medicine but his stupid ass forgot to pack extra.

He slowly walks over back to the bed. He sits down and leans over to where she's sleeping. Kai fests a hand on her shoulder lightly, "Sky? you awake?"

Skylor stirs slightly and hums in tiredness.

Kai hates this. He knows she doesn't get much sleep usually and here is his– waking her up at almost 3:00 in the goddamn morning. He shakes her a bit, "skylor wake up please. I'm begging you pleas-" he whispers but then gets cut off by skylor rapidly sitting up and kinda screaming, trying to fend off whoever is waking her up at this time.

Kai immediekty catches her wrists in his hands, ztopping her from attacking him. "hey hey hey it's just me! it's okay!" he says, a bit scared for his life right now.

Skylor's body relaxes, and her arms drops from his grasp. "the fuck are you wakeing me up for at this time, kai?" she breathes out tirexly, her vibrant red hair is everywhere and tangled.

"I know I'm sorry. I just….do you have gaviscon or something for heartburn?" kai says wearily.

Her expression changes from mildly annoyed to soft. "do you have heartburn?"

He just nods embarrassedly.

"yeah. yeah I think I have something– one sec." she says as she slips out of bed tiredly, walking over to where her bag is.

He watches her as she goes through her bag. He hears her quietly say haha to herself when she finds it.

She rushes back to bed with the container in her hand, plopping on the bed the wrong way. Her feet are where her head should be and her head is where her feet should be. Kai raises an eyebrow at her as she presents the plastic jar of gaviscon to kai in a dramatic way. she's definitely still a bit drunk from the drinking.

Kai takes the plastic jar from her and eats one of big round chalk-like tablets.

"you okay?" she asks, taking back the jar and throwing it at her bag (she missed and it made a loud noyise in the corner).

Ignoring that, kai meets her tired eyes, which are obviously trying to stay awake. "already feeling better." he says, giving her a small smile. His hand going to her hand, entwining their fingers together.

She returns the smile and says "good because if you would've made me get up from the warm and comfy bed to get you medicine, for it to not even work, would've been a useless waste of my time."

He laughs at that. And for some reason she joins in. They're both just laughing their asses off at 3:00am in their bed. While one of them is facing the wrong way on the bed, and the other is having heartburn.

Skylor's legs and feet are in the air right now and dangerously close to kai.

Kai fends off one foot with his left arm as it comes close to him. "Holy shit woman, you're actually going to kick me."

She just laughs even harder. Fuck she's so beautiful. everything about her is just perfect. Her hair is so soft and pretty. her eyes glow in the sunlight beautifully. her smile (which no one outside of kai and the others get to really see) is the most beautiful thing he's ever seen. and her laugh, holy shit her laugh. it's the best sound he's very heard in his entire life. the sound of it is like the prettiest song out there. he could go on forever about her. could never stop.

"maybe that'll teach you to not wake me up at three in the fucking morning." she says through laughs, before realizing kai is staring at her. Like staring at her. iykyk. "what?"

her voice seems to snap him out of his love trance. "oh. nothing."

"mhm sure." she says while yawning.

"come on–" he says pulling her up by her waist. "let's go back to sleep."

"that is something I can agree with." she says smiling as she lays back down under the blankets (and laying on the right end this time).

they're both laying down now. and facing each other. just staring into each other's souls.

"what were you thinking? when you were staring into my soul earlier?" skylor asks softly, breaking the silence, but with a knowing smirk on her lips.

"oh I think you know what I was thinking." he responds, smirking back.

"uh huh? well I think you're right." she says slowly moving closer towards him. him doing the same.

"well then you must know how beautiful I think you are."

at that, she blushed and smiles. which makes him grin. "I made you blushhh!"

"shut up you asshole." she says as she meets her lips with his, into a soft and passionate kiss. which leads into kai mostly on top skylor, one hand on her waist, and the other cupping the side of her cheek.

after a while they end up falling asleep finally.

everyone is hungover and tired in the morning. so everyone is just lazy and tired all day. which is fine. most people just stay in bed.

and as for Kai's heartburn from last night, it was gone the moment kai and skylor started to kiss. the last mingling bit of burning pain turned into his heart beating so fast, and his heart being set on fire by his gorgeous girlfriend.

maybe heartburn isn't so bad afterall.

that's a lie. again.

he means, that maybe heartburn isn't so bad when you have someone next to you.
