Emma

Finally everything was going well. No curses, no villains, just living a normal life with her husband and child. What can possibly go wrong? Henry had a couple last months before going to start his freshman year in high school, after just turning fifteen in his last birthday, so he spent most of his time in the station with her, Hook and David. Her mom just started a new literature program in school and Regina, well, Regina Stade pretty much the same. She got out of bed and kissed killan to wake him up as well. “Morning love’’ he said smiling. They took a long shower and went to grab a coffee at granny's. “hello” Ruby welcomed her “i assume you'll have the usual?”. Emma nodded to approve and sat at the best booth in the place. She waited for Hook and Henry to arrive. She planned to make breakfast at home today, but killian told her that after the last time when she accidentally burned the pancakes and half of the kitchen he preferred to leave the cooking to the professionals. while she waited she felt like something was off. It was a wired filling and it made her feel really bad. It felt like there was something or someone that was missing. Luckily Henry walked in and she got distracted. “Well it took you long enough, You'd think Regina would teach you to be on time’’ Henry rolled his eyes in return “ I can go if you'd prefer that. I'm sure mom would more than love me to eat with her this morning.’’ he said will sitting down in front of her “ Plus, I don't see Hook anywhere’’. Why was he so hostile? Emma thought that maybe he was still angry because she'd canceled the last time. “Killan went to check a report about something near the bridge, but its probably nothing to be worried about.’’ “Ok”. Wow, something in Henry's tone, he wasn't even trying to hide the fact that he was angry. “Is everything alright kid?” Emma asked. It took him a moment to answer, “ everything fine, really, forgot I said anything, let's restart” Henry smiled hos most convincing smile, but Emma saw that he was still not at peace. “Fine, if that's what you want. How are you?” she asked “I'm great”. It was a long twenty minutes of Emma asking questions and Henry answering with the shortest answers he could find until Ruby served their food. Hook didn't arrive yet, and Emma was starting to get worried but she kept eating in silence. She couldn't leave Henry to look for him, it would crash Henry's heart if she'd cancel another meeting and hook was a big boy, he'd be fine. Another 30 minutes have passed, and they almost finished the breakfast, yet Hook didn't arrive. Emma started to get really worried, maybe she should call her dad to check on him. But just when she was ready to call David the phone rang, it was Hook. Henry looked at her and she knew that she will have to make it up to him, big time. “Listen, I'm gonna take this one quickly and I'll be back, OK?” Henry gave he a look “it's fine, I have to go anyway, I guess you'll want to reschedule, so just text me later, I think I'll stay at mom's place tonight, but maybe tomorrow”. Shit, she thought to herself, but ran outside of the dier. “Hello” she answered the phone “is everything OK?” She was so relieved to hear killian voice on the other side. “love, you need to get here as fast as you can” the call got disconnected.

Regina

It was five in the morning and Regina couldn't sleep.the thoughts didn't stop shifting in her head.Henry was going to eat breakfast with Emma later which means she was eating alone. She wasn't upset, they haven't spent a lot of time together and it was great Emma was making an effort to make it up to him after canceling the last time. But lately, she felt alone. Maybe she could meet with Zelena. But she is usually exhausted or busy with little Robin. Seeing Zelena and Robin together really made her miss the time was young and it was only the two of them, now he's going to college and she'll be alone in her huge house. Somehow an hour passed and she pulled herself out of bed. Getting ready for work was weirdly draining and Regina just wanted to go back to sleep without the annoying voices in her head. Henry got downstairs and told her good morning but left so quickly she didn't get a chance to chat with him. Plus her toast completely burned and the coffee tasted like mud. Can this day get any worse?. Regina opened the office and sat down, finally she felt good. Doing her job always made her feel in control. Like she was a queen again. And as much as she hated to admit it, feeling like that was one of the only things that got her through the days. She was missing the filling of control and power, of being the strongest person in a room. Today didn't bring anything interesting or new. Only the same old problems and requests so when Hook called her so she could examine an urgent magical problem, she was thrilled. She never thought she would be excited to get a phone call from captain hook, but there's a first time for everything. Regina put all of her stuff in her bag and teleported to the bridge. When she saw the problem she knew that this is just what she needed to break her routine. A huge portal laid underneath Emma and Hook. “Well, I don't spouses any of you was capable enough to cast that complicated of a spell, you'll need a proper knowledge besides stilling” she said with a grin on her face. “That would be a truly wonderful joke if it had a better timing” said Emma while she rolled her eyes. “Aren't you having breakfast with Henry? Emma he waited so long for this” her disappointment clearly showing. “As much as I enjoy a good fight, I think we need to focus on the problem” Hook interfered. “I got an anonymous report about this last night, we weren't able to receive any other information. So I assumed Regina would know more”. “THAT'S WHY YOU CALLED ME HERE, REALLY? “ Emma interpreted. “Well love, I didn't plan to, but since I got here the wired portal grew and I knew you'd want to be involved” . It was strange that him thought, since It was the least coming thing to say. Suddenly she felt something strange, the ground started shaking. She looked down and saw the portal growing. “Up, up!” She yelled and started climbing up the bridge. But as she got to the top her heel slipped and she grabbed Emma for balance. “What are you doing?!” Emma shouted and looked down at her. “Emma hold the wall” Regina screamed as they both fell down into the portal.

Emma

Emma stood up.
“Where the hell are we?” Regina asked, lying down in what looked like a very uncomfortable pose. It took Emma only a brief glance to recognize the place. She was standing in front of what looked like her house. It looked older, had an extra floor and a huge garden with what looked like swords stuck in the ground. But it was definitely her house.
“I'm so glad you're okay. Are you injured, love?” asked Hook. He sounded worried, yet he was completely ignoring Regina, who was still lying on the grass.
“What are you doing here? You didn't fall! Don't tell me you jumped.
Killian Jones.
You better not tell me you jumped." Emma said angrily.
“Full name... someone's in trouble” Regina sang, still not getting up, but changing her position. Killian was clearly upset about the full name thing. “listen, you would have jumped too, and I'm not planning to lose you again any time soon” He said, matching her tone. The sudden silence was a surprise. He was expecting at least a passive aggressive comment if not a spell or a sword fight. But she simply stood there, not knowing what to say.

“Sooo... Are we going to knock, or are we just planning to pretend we're homeless people? Cause you two may look the part, but I certainly don't.”
Emma was so caught up with Hook's statement that she didn't even notice Regina finally standing up. “Plus, I'm pretty sure I saw a girl behind the window, and we should probably talk to her. or kill her.” She continued and started walking towards the house, not allowing the awkward situation to develop.
“We'll… We'll talk later, okay? let's first figure out this shit” Emma smiled a brief smile and ran towards Regina. Having nowhere else to go, Hook joined them. The three stared at the door, hoping it would open by itself without them having to knock on it, and maybe even having a conversation with the person inside. “We don't want to scare this girl. We should go somewhere else. Maybe call someone” Emma spited the words as fast as she could.
“First of all, we don't have phones on us. Second, just knock on the fucking door!” Regina said harshly. But as she was getting ready to knock, the door opened. A 15 year old girl with short, dark brown hair and an annoyed look on her face stood there. She was wearing a school uniform and huge swords earrings.
“I'm not a murderer, but you better get inside or I will have to kill you.”

Chapter Text

Emma

This was certainly not the way she thought She'd be greeted.
The girl pretty much pushed them inside and started yelling. “Liam! You fucking asshole, get down here or wake up underwater without the power to swim!”
Moments later a boy who looked just like the girl but with a couple of minor changes in appearance appeared. He didn't come down the stairs or through a door, he simply appeared out of nowhere.
Emma examined him. Unlike the girl, who had dark hair, his hair had the color of hazelnut. But both he and his sister had blue eyes. Something about the twins felt so familiar, like she saw them before. maybe even had a chat with them.
It took her a minute before she realized what was going on and what was surrounding her.

The girl sat them in the living room on a gray couch. In front of the couch there was a big fireplace and a TV screen. On top of the fireplace, a couple of pictures were resting. Pictures that mortified her. The first one was Killian and her's wedding photo. But the next ones were pictures of her at the hospital with a baby in her arms, a photo of her parents looking rather old, and the most horrific one - her and Killian standing on the deck of the Jolly Roger, with 5 kids around them. Two of the kids were the girl and the boy she met. The oldest girl had blonde hair and a smile similar to Hook's. The other boy had her blonde hair and bluish-green eyes but her father's smile, and the last boy? Well, he looked mostly like her ex Neal and Henry. Emma let her thoughts run, considering every option possible. She could find a cliff to jump off of or she could deal with life. For some reason, the cliff option seemed more seductive. Her eyes glanced at Regina and Hook. Both were still scanning the room. She chose to assume that Killian's anxious face came because of the situation they were in and not because of the fact he will have to raise 4 children with her. Their kids weren't even talking yet and now they were stuck in some sort of a different dimension. it was like her own little personal hell.

She wondered where she could find a cliff near by, hoping they were even still in Storybrook. Suddenly the swords girl entered the living room and started talking in a mostly but not completely British accent: “I'm sure you all are quite upset about my not so polite threats, But you'll have to excuse me, because, you know, the special situation. My name is Ruth, Ruth Swan Jones to be exact. This is-”
“I'm Liam, her twin, your most dashing and charming child. You are more than welcome“ the boy appeared next to his sister, wearing a big smile on his face. “Shut up, Liam“ Ruth mumbled.
'Great', Emma thought to herself. How could things get worse than this?

Things got worse.

Regina

Saying she was surprised would be an understatement.
Regina accepted that she was in some weird reality with two murderous teenagers, but she wasn't prepared for another Emma and Hook walking in. She looked at the Emma and Hook that came with her, and by the confusion on their faces she knew they saw the same thing. Regina's eyes moved like ping-pong balls between the two couples. She thought one Hook was annoying. Now she has to deal with two? “Why aren't you in school?” Older Emma asked automatically. Her strict voice, which was accompanied by her questioning face, would have made anyone else turn the other way or look down just to avoid eye contact. But Ruth simply smiled a cunning smile. “Sadly, our math teacher couldn't make it today. Hearing the tragic news, we decided it would be best to stay home and do our homework instead of wasting our time playing stupid games with that substitute teacher. Surely you agree, mom. You are the one who always rents about how important our education is.”
The nerve! If Henry said a thing like that to her, she would ground him. But apparently, the older Hook had a different method of parenting. “Then off to your rooms, little sailors, I'm sure you have plenty of work to catch up on.” Winking at his daughter, he added: “Don't you have some speech to do for your student council?”
The kids vanished quickly. Regina knew how useful it was to have magic, but seriously, couldn't they have taken the stairs? They were right in front of them.
“What the hell is going on? Where are we?” Regina's Emma started Interrogating her older version.
“Let me make it clearer: This is the future. Or, some sort of possibility for a future. You see, the future isn't set in stone. But, assuming you won't make any big changes with your life, this would be the future you are now facing.” said future Emma, sitting in front of her double. “Don't worry, I'm not just guessing. We had the same problem last week. A stray dog from the past got here. God knows how, since no one seems to recall we had any time travel in the past. But every sorcerer we've met said that time portal magic was still on his fur, so that means that he has got to be from the past”.”
The silence filled the room. Eventually, younger Emma broke it. “Five kids, huh? Must be exhausting." Old Emma's face lit up while she was taking one of the pictures off the fireplace. “It's a rather old photo, I suppose. It's from three years ago, on my forty seventh birthday. You already met Liam and Ruth. In this photo they were twelve, but now they are fifteen. That-” she Pointed on the blonde girl “That's Hope. She's seventeen now. She's our third oldest, if you count Henry.” her hand moved towards the Neal-Henry combined guy in the picture. “You probably recognized Henry.
He was only thirty here. Just got engaged." Finally, she pointed at the last blonde kid. “And that's our oldest - Charlie, Charles. Honestly, we barely see him now. He's at his s i t s practice, or at football team practice all day long.” she placed the picture back on the fireplace.
“How do we know this is real? Why shouldn't we kill you here and now?” past Hook's hand was sent to his gun, prepared for anything that might happen. “Mostly, because you don't have much choice" future Hook answered way more calmly than he was aught to.
To stop the upcoming gun fight, Regina asked the thing all three of them were wondering.
“So what now?”

“How would you like to meet future you, Regina?”

Chapter Text

Hook

For some reason, they walked. Both Emma and Regina's magic didn't work, and future Emma refused to use hers, so they had to walk to the mayor's office. Along the way there was silence, and it allowed him to think.
It was terrible. He hated being alone in his head. This whole trip was a horrible accident. He often imagines the future he and Emma will eventually share, but 4 kids? He was unprepared to be a father. It felt so quickly, Even though it was years from his time. He started thinking about his father. Could he deal with being a parent? His entire family messed up and he has no experience. How could he be sure that he won't run on Emma like his old man did? No no no, he won't. He will never. And this future is a living prof . But something about this future. It felt odd . Too Perfect. Like the silence before the storm. Something is going to attack any minute just waiting for you to be unprepared. Hook Complicated with his thoughts he didn't notice they arrived at the mayor's office. It Looked a lot like it used to look but had more flowers surrounding it. As they entered the room, older Emme whispered to them “let me do the talking”. The first thing he saw was a desk in the lobby that he was Certain didn't exist in the past. Behind the desk sat a girl not over 18 years old with long wavy, black hair and purple tips. She wore a short purple skirt and a button up shirt with the highest high heel He ever saw. Not much place to hide a weapon. But the thing you stopped most about was her face. She had big feather earrings and a round face. But something about it looked unnatural. She was beautiful and young but somehow gave off the feeling of a cold old person. Her eyes was black were black as the Night and She was pale as a goat. But Their older version didn't seem to be afraid or worried about the girl. old Emma approached her with a kind smile “good morning Izzy”. Izzy didn't even move her face from the computer she was typing on. “I knew this day would come. Did you clone yourself to start an Army and take over the world? Please tell me I don't need to give up all my belongings and start wearing leather” .

Emma

Emma would have appreciated the sarcasm far more in a different situation. Izzy's snarky attitude didn't stop there. “I'm so sorry, but since you took the liberty to not make an appointment, I will take the liberty to not let you in” she said smiling. “Very funny, Izzy. Now stop messing around and let us in” old Hook pressed the button that turned off the computer. That action took Emma by surprise. Her Hook barely managed to learn how to switch the channel on the TV.
Izzy's eyes landed on Emma, and as she opened her mouth to say something, her face twitched and she held her head like she had gotten a sudden headache. When Izzy opened her eyes again, they no longer had shades of purple in them. They were now completely black, and a cruel smile started spreading on her face. Some beast inside of her awakened and it was terrifying. Izzy looked Emma in the eyes. “It has been way too long, but I can be patient if needed.” The squeaky and sharp voice made Emma shiver. Her hand immediately went to the place where her gun usually was, but it was no longer there. Probably fell somewhere while they were taking the unexpected and unwanted trip. The monster in the shape of a teenage girl pulled out a pink potion in a slim glass bottle. “Way too long, far too long, much too long. NO MORE WAITING.” Izzy popped the cork stopper off the bottle. Both Hook and Regina were ready to attack, but the sound of high heels knocking on the floor and a snap of a finger stopped everything. Izzy's face switched back to a Surprised, confused expression, and her eyes returned to normal. “What… what happened?” she mumbled.
“It seems that we had a visit from that bitch Yzma.“
The Confident, strong voice left no other option.

Emma turned her face to see the older version of regina.
