Chapter Text

When ivy first met freckle she thought he was strange and weird but in a cute kinda way she liked that about him, he was calm and kind and adorable she liked freckle she found his love for base ball and chocolate milk to be endearing and and ones agine cute although Freckle had a little court that kind of freaked Ivy out it was the gunslinging she didn't mind it and she know Freckle couldn't help it it's just well it kind of scared her only a little and she knew that lackadaisy needed him as a gunslinger he was the best one they had truthfully Ivy figured that if it was between freckle and Mordecai she believes Freckle would probably when it's just sometimes a part of her just looking in his eyes in the freckles eyes a part of her thinks that he might enjoy it a little too much for any sane person to enjoy but aside from that Freckle was a very good boyfriend he wasn't the best at dancing but that didn't mean he didn't try and he was also helping people she cared about she cared about lackadaisy so much and he knew that so when Ivy was sitting in freckles car driving to an unknown location he had said if he wanted to show her to a part of her was a little scared and excited she wondered where her boyfriend was taking her could he be taking her to the movies to see a picture show or was he taking her on a fancy date I couldn't really imagine where her boyfriend would take her he was quiet which meant he didn't like talking that much and much of anything for that matter the most Ivy got or could get out of a long conversation with Freckle was indeed baseball but that's because he was a huge nerd about it which ivy found impressive "were here" freckle said pointing to a book shop Ivy almost felt a little disappointed she was hoping her boyfriend would take her to well a date not a Bookshop that's cute Bookshop to be fair but a Bookshop nonetheless was he going to buy her books for school? Calvin walk down the hallway of the Speakeasy into the back garage there stood a man tied up looking scared for his life as soon as he saw Calvin he began to shake and tried to crawl away from Calvin almost crying "please I'm sorry I'm sorry I'll never do it again please I I swear have mercy" the man said crying on the ground Calvin only looked at him "you gave me shity goods Scott I don't like it when people trick me Scott I don't have the patience for it and let me tell you Scott when I want something I get it and whoever tries to get in my way of it guess what I do Scott" calvin said brushing his hair back Scott stamerd and stuttered "y_y_you k_i_k_il_" "I KILL THEM YES THATS RIGHT TA STUTTERING MORON" Calvin said his words filled with anger and a vindictive nature "but cus you said place I'll be nice " Calvin said pulling out his gun pointing it at Scott's head the the tide man behind him shook and cried and wailed screaming please don't kill me I have kids I have a family please please a shot rang through the garage a quick one and just like that Scott's words were no longer coming out of his mouth only coughs of blood him squirming and Rising against the ground is he bled to death a bullet shot right through his skull as he rise and gagged on his own blood "god I hate people like that you give the a kind way out and what do they do start crying about thare 'family's'" Calvin said waving his gun in the air he hated it when they did this it always made him feel at least a little bad of course Calvin would never leave a family to survive on their own he would always send them money for their loss of their loved ones Calvin it wasn't a monster he was just a man who liked things done right well Scott just decided he didn't want to do things right for Calvin so Calvin showed Scott exactly what would happen if you didn't do what Calvin said because Calvin was the boss and you don't betray the boss

Calvin looked down at the bloody garbage on the floor of his garage he looked over to tait and tot "get rid of IT ok I don't want to see this garbage in the garage when I come back " Calvin said putting his gun back in his pocket, and walking past the twins as he did they turned to him "how would you like us to disposable of him " the twins said Calvin rolled his eyes uge "I don't care what you do with IT just get rid of IT" Calvin said his full of venom the twins only looked take Calvin, he sighed "for the love of___THE RIVER JUST THROW IT IN TO THE RIVER I DONT CARE C Calvin said leaveing the garage what morons dame idiots. Mitzi sat in a chair at mr sweets house sitting next to her was Horatio he wasn't the best to take but it was the best she could get together but that's not what's she upset about she mad about the empty seat in front of her where mr Manson was supposed to be "this Is odd Manson's normally on time" sweet said looking at his watch and takeing a big puff of his cigar as well "well this seems to be a" mitzi was about to finish her sentence with waist of time but she was interrupted by to twin men walking in to the room holding a plant "ah the tait and tot good to see you wares your other brother ketch " my sweet said "dead he broke the rules mr sweet so he had to pay for them" one of them said "oh...um Haha so I take it mr Mansons here" mr sweet said " sad to say but mr Manson is replaced by ower new boss" another twin said "well hah um uh... who is the boss now" mr sweet said his voice shaking mitzi was confused she had never really seen mr sweet filled with fear before "I think you know who hes not hard to remember " another twin said again "it cant be him not that man anyone BUT him" mr sweet said to the twins but they only gave mr sweet a dead pan look no expressions "anyway miss may is it" a twin looked at her "yes..." the plased a plant of a daisy right in front of her "this is a gift from the boss and to say sorry he couldn't be here he had other business to attend to" "oh um thank you" mitzi said the twins terned around and left the room mr sweet looked pale "this is bad this is really bad " mr sweet said "how so" mitzi said getting up " cus that new boss is bad news for the both of us " "I thought you were friend with the morning glorys " mitzi said "that man is no friend not to you and not to me he was people call the devils gardener

After everything was said and done and ivy was dropped off back to her college Calvin had work to do important work

A man ran threw the woods his breth shaked threw the air he was screwed he didn't know why he crossed the boss he only did it cus he needed the money for his mother but you cant hid anything from the boss the man soon felt pain his leg got caught in a trap a trap the boss planted ever ware for the man to get trapped it
"Well well well look who cant run enymore like a frightened deer" Calvin said grabbing then by the man's tale dragging him back to a opened grave around other graves of others who betrayed the boss "please don't do this" "QUITE" calvin spat he didn't need to here this shit agine of no places I have family bullshit agine today the man began to cry calvin never understood why so meany feared death it was going to come for us all at some point so why cry about it thare was no need ones your time is up it's up you dont get a say death just desides and that's final , calvi. Rolled his eyes and looked to another man "get over her and help me with this schmuck " the man walked over and grabed the crying man's arms the sobbing man tryed toget out agine but calvin and his helper threw the man in the hole "finish the job ok" calvin said walking away to the car he took in the cold air it will be winter soon Calvin could tell winter made it harder but it was also the best for hiding bodys in he sighed he wounded what ivy was doing right now, probably sleeping or dancing at lackadaisy or talking to a friend Calvin wished he was with ivy right now instead of here listening to a man be buried alive calvin wished he was hugging her kissing her cuddling with her but no he had this shit to do the twins soondrove up with thare car "finally " calvin said walking up to them " is ot done" "yes sir we gave miss may the daisy like you asked and we gave mr sweet info on who's running it hes scared" the twins said "hah good I'd liked to see him die of fear"
Calvin said "eny way let's go this guy can get back just fine I have to get back to my mother's place " calvin said "yes sir" tot said opening the passengers side door for calvin, hoping in and setting down it was a long night the twins hoped back in and they were off all this work will be worth it in the end he will be rid of lackadaisy and the marigolds soon vary soon

When calvin first went to the police academy he was happy eager even he new he probably wasn't going to be the best but he was happy none the less
When he first went to the morning glory book shop he would go thare normally to get books he needed or just books he wanted to read but after a few mouths it started to get suspicious then one day a man his age walked up to him "hi my name ketch nice meet ya " ketch said holding out his hand to Calvin "Calvin " he said takeing ketchs hand shacking it little did Calvin know it would lead to him being intertwined with a speakeasie one he would never be able to leave from

"Your quiet calvin I kinda like that means ya lesson more then talk" manson said the cat took a big puff of his cigar blowing it in to calvins face calvin couldn't stop the coughing that followed
Manson had a rule that you keep your friends close and your enemy's closer calvin hated it he could even tell the police academy cus get the manson OWNES them they were to scared of him to do shit not to mention the money he gave them as well so calvin could to anything at least that's what Calvin thought but then after he spent a few mouths thare that was a small thought in he mined say kill kill KiLl KILL KILL KIL KILL ever one a anger he never thought he'd feel he began to be called the devils gardener for his nack for killing in a plant like way makeing his victims plant food but he wasn't satisfied the voice was eating away at him for more and MORE it was ketch idea first to betray manson "hes to old fashion for this line of work speakeasy are for the young not for Schmucks like him " calvin agreed and him and ketch and his two brothers plotted against thare boss they worked and worked and by the end of the week they had every one against manson and thare plan started calvin was driveing manson to an Opera but manson wouldn't be seeing that to night instead manson got a sweet twist of retirement that night a slow drop to a watery death
"why why I trusted you all why betrayed me" manson yelled Calvin looked at him a wicked grin spread acrost his face "HAHAHAH you old man you have to be the dumbest person iv ever seen did you ever think keeping enemy's close would be a good idea just from that we still you speakeasy right from under your nose" calvin yelled his laughter echoed threw the old ship house "'keep you enemy's close HAHAH such stupidity unlike you if I have a enemy I kill it " Calvin said walking away as Manson was slowly lowered to the water
Ketch was concerned with what had happened to Calvin and started to work on betraying calvin it was so annoying the frustration it gave calvin
He would take care of ketch soon enough
That's when tait and tot arrived I'm his office
"Its come to may attention that your brother is going to betray me boys some I get that hes your brother but your either with me or against me and I think you know what will happen if you're against me" calvin said placing his gun on his desk next to him. Tait and tot only looked at eachother and nodded "were with you sir" they said calvin smiled ketch was sent off to retirement that night and met the watery grave manson met not so long ago after that Calvin ran the speakeasy with an iron Fist he was ruthless he need everything perfect it needed to be if it wasn't perfect that was something wrong and some one had to have done something wrong and that would men Calvin had to fix it.

Calvin had to deal with s mother of course calvin would never hurt her Heavens no she just had to be ignorant of Calvin's behavior and actions so what did calvin do easy he played the part of the poor little boy kicked out of the police academy then when rocky came to ask for work calvin wasn't surprised it was something crazy but when ivy showed him thare speakeasy it took every fiber in his being not to laugh he had to play they part of little sweet innocent freckle and not the murderous calvin and he played it well no one would ever think he would hurt a fly well every one except victor unlike every one (except ivy) in lackadaisy was a weed to calvin a plant that needed to be killed but victor was a Vermin ,a pest that need to be squashed victor was the only one who saw threw Calvin's facade
Calvin was almost impressed but victor will meet his end soon enough

Calvin was in his green house clipping and pruning flowers the city lights shown threw the windows the twins walked in "boss we have the "fertilizer" you asked for " "AH goodie " the twins said placing the bag on to a table "ower men have the flower we need for lackadaisy end sir " "good good now I can get ride of these ugly flowers " calvin said looking over at the marigolds and Daisy's going over and putting rubber gloves on and buting a gas mask and picking up a sprayer filled with poison "you to know what to do when the play happens right " calvin said looking over at then "after you take care of rocky we come and get you and we get ivy after the *cough* extermination" tot said "yes and she will be so devastated that she will soon grow angry and she will ask me to take care of the marigolds because "calvin said "cus the marigolds well be the exterminators but she won't know it ower men" tait said " good good you two get it now run of I have work to do " calvin said looking back at the plants
Tait and tot closed the door behind them and calvin started the gas the flowers shriveled up and died
Calvin couldn't help but laugh

Nina's day was always the same thing she'd wake up eat breakfast with her son and work on something for some one or do some gardening she was fine with it but then that no god devil child came back rocky she love her nephew shore it was her sisters only child she just hated ransom that man ruined her sisters life and left sophie with rocky.
Anyway he did give freckle a job nina was worried for her child after being kicked out of the academia she felt like it was good for him but now her son started acting weird in a different not the normal weird she new all to well if the child she had raised he was... well she didn't know how to put it but something was different
It was night and rocky was inside waiting for freckle to come down nina was cleaning dinner she decided she was going to ask rocky what was going on with her son. She walked in to the living room rocky was by the door "rocky I have to ask you something " "what is it aunt nina" he said agusting his hat "I know your hiding something from me " nina said grabbing the tabby tie and yanking him to eye level "AHHH IV BEEN DATING SOME IM SORRY I DIDN'T TELL YOU" rocky spat out "that's not what I'm...WAIT your dateing some one " nina said looking at rocky "ya I know I'm surprised to but what did you mean " "I was talking about freckle action weird " "ooooh ya that might be becausessssss I shouldn't say" rocky said putting a hand up "spit it out or I'm going to fined out who is dating you and absolutely humiliate you" nina said "ok fine hes been dating this girl is all..." Ivy felt awful it had been a mouth since every thing happened she was trying to feel better about it but the fact that almost everyone is dead but her

Calvin closed the door of the trunk "good work guy"

Later that day
"I also know Calvin plans to kill the marigolds to night " lola said "I'll try and talk to ivy see how she feels see if she know about it I'll also try and get you guys a map and schedule the best I can " she said "tonight what is he going to do exactly " mordecai said
"I'm not shore but probably do something similar to what he did to lackadaisy I guess" lola said shrugging her sholders

Dominic looked at the bored full of pictures and notes he felt so pushed when dominic first started the investigation it was practically cut and dry he just needed mitzi to confess and to have a motive but now NOW it was a mess now he had to figure out who killed every one at that speakeasy AND the burned the at hotel AND finded out ware mitzi and mr sweet was "dame" dominic rubed his eyes he's been in here since 6 AM it's been a long night for dominic
Thare was people who were also missing mr Rickaby and the siblings who he never really thought about

Ivy walked back in to the kitchen with a box if lemon tea she hoped lola would like it she hadn't released lola was gone she looked behind her self and jumped lola was behind her "oh few you scared me " ivy said "sorry I was...in the bathroom" she said "ok eny way how have you been" ivy said ,taking the kettle off the heat

Maybe it was cus of what happened Calvin had lost rocky Calvin was probably just upset more so then her

She also wished he would stop being a speakeasie owner

Ivy sat thare her fear of death was much preferred then being married to...that thing. Ivy was quite from a moment but be for she could say a thing Calvin started talking "I felt like I should marry you it's the right thing to do" Calvin said in a happy manner but also nonshulontly as if him asking her to marry him was no big deal like she was some object to take care of ivy wanted to yell she wanted to smack him but she still had to play it cool she had to soon it will all be over
