He has lived a fulfilling life.

Despite of all the wars and hardships he had gone through.

He finally had the family he wished for.

Parents who love him. Siblings who cherish him. Friends who trust him.And children who he loves dearly.

Cale didn't know that time, when he staped himself with the world Tree's dragger, that he became half an immortal.

He knew , thanks to crybaby, that he will live longer .

But not this long!!

He lived 8 centuries of peace after dealing with the white raddish and the hunters .

He was happy to see his children grow but he has to bear seeing every one dies.

He has Raon and Choi han .

They lived in super rock villa and visited sheritty nim from time to time .

They also made sure that the Archiduchy and the empire are fine .

(Of course after Roan turned into an empire the Henituse turned into its first Archiduchy , much to Cale's horror.)

So, even on his deathbed, cale was happy.

He didn't regret anything ( aside from not killing the gods.)

Raon and Choi han were there.

He was sorry that he will leave them alone for another 2 centuries.

But they assured him they will be fine . They thanked him for everything.

He didn't deny it this time and smiled.

Dying without pain was the best. He hates pain after all.

He closed his eyes and was met with an endless void.

So, this is death.

He closed his eyes again enjoying the silence .

So maybe, he will forgive the god of death this time.

That was until he opend his eyes again and saw a bright ceiling. He moved his arms and couldn't believe how small they were.

He tried to move but he couldn't.

So, he concluded, he has reincarnated and now he is a baby.

He needs to know where he is.

Suddenly, he was lifted up by gentle hands  and saw a pretty lady with brown hair and blue eyes.

She remained him of Violin without her stoic face.

Lilly: Good morning princess Angelia.

Did you sleep well with your sister, princess Athanasia?

Who ? Did she refer to him as a she? And Athanasia? Where had he heard this name ?

Lilly: Oh? The great new suns of Obilia .. You are as beautiful as your mother. But you have your father's blue jewelled eyes.

Lilly put the baby down and went out .

Cale was in dilemma.  Obilia? Athanasia?  Blue jewelled eyes? Isn't that the empire from lovely princess?

Cale is now in another novel.

As a none existing character.

He takes it back.

He will find a way to kill that bastard of a god.

He couldn't have reincarnated him in a normal family..

Cale has to face that bastard of a father who left his real daughter to be excuted and choose some random bitch as his real flesh.

He is a real garbage.

How dare he abandon a child.

Cale will make sure he and his sister( twin? ) will stay alive.

He will loot the emperor and runaway.

He will live in peace and achieve his slacker life in this world again ( we all know he won't.) and will not do anything to change the plot.

He will just runaway with his sister ( someone tells him🤣🤣)
He can't believe how unlucky he is ( Eurohaben always calls him that )

After I confirmed that I am indeed inside a novel ( again), I started making plans to runaway.

But I noticed, aside from lily, no one cares about us!

They even have the audacity to steal in front of us! These lowly maids!

"I recorded your faces. I will loot you dry. Just wait "

-  Yes ,cale!!  Do it ! …More money!  Haha haaaa

He heard something like ( who will tell him but he ignored it)

I felt like they are mocking me..somehow..

-T- but what if your sister want to stay?

J- I don't think she wants to.

-Why do you think so, mother?

J- Cutie…look at her rings..

I used mother's power at her. She was staring at the ceiling again.. I saw that she has three rings…so that means ….

Cale is cursing every god he knows.

If you want to know how things come out like this?!!!
Let's return to what happened before.

Cale and Athy were just doing what babies are supposed to do: eat, sleep and play.

Well, Cale didn't want to move, but knowing that babies can get sick if they didn't let their muscles and skulls develop, he decided to act like a normal baby
( not like an 8 centuries old man.)

He and Athy have been talking about their lives .

Well, he didn't tell her everything.

But he told her about his age, that this isn't his first time in another world or inside a novel.

He didn't mention anything about the apocalypse or his life in Korea.

He told her about his family and how he used to have three children ( hmmm…15 ….) and helped his siblings take care of theirs.

He noticed that she doesn't seem to know that this is her third life.

He was suspicious that she was the real Athanasia in the novel, because she needed to have a connection with this world to be reborn in it.

But he decided not to tell her for now.

They were discussing what to do to not be executed.

Athy left the planning to Angel.

After learning that she was a he, was much older than her, a war commander and knows more about being thrown inside a novel,she decided to let him be the strategist.

Angel told her that she wasn't sure about the ending of the novel.

It was due to her experience as Cale.

Because , at that time, she thought that the book has a happy ending because it was a fantasy novel, but it didn't.

So even if it seems suicidal, which wasn't new, she decided that they need to meet the bastard at least once or from afar.

Athy was hesitated but she agreed.

But , well, that can wait until they are nine.

Now, they have all the time to enjoy their baby's life.

TWO AND HALF YEARS LATER

Angel was, as always, napping under the sun like a cat.

(What she didn't know was that every maid( including Athy) were squealing at her cuteness. Because she looked like a tiny and adorable kitten. )

Angel didn't have to do anything to make the maids love her.

( Which she wasn't planning to do in the first place)
But Athy said she will act cute to ,at least, have some support in thd palace.

One day,

Angel was sleeping as usual ( even though they can walk now , she still loves to sleep), when Athy came in with two large pouches ( for their bodies) .
Athy- let's go explore outside!

Angel- Why? [ I want to sleep] And what is this?

Athy- These are some jewelries that the maids haven't stolen yet! Let's go find a place to hide them!!

Angel- Why?

Athy- Because, we aren't sure when Claude will order our execution. So we have to hide some money for when we runaway! 😌

Angel- And how do you plan to sneak outside without an adult to watch over us ?

Athy- Leave this to me☺️

Angel -( sign) Okay…but where are we going?

Athy- There is an empty palace that I discovered last time I sneak………

Angel was giving Athy a deadpan stare.

Athy- Heeeheee😅😅

Angel- ( sign) okay… I won't ask but we have to take a toy with us so they won't suspect anything. And let's do it tomorrow so we won't be late.

Athy( with a big bright smile) -okay!!

This make Angel smile a little.

( The maids who were watching them , weren't able to hear what they were talking about.

But they were squealing from seeing Angel's smile!
And the reason for this is simple: Angel only smiles to Athy!

They want to see that smile directed at them too so they can die in peace!

Not that she isn't cute already but more cuteness won't hurt anyone)

THE NEXT DAY,

Angel and Athy with a pouch each and a random toy they grabbed on their way, approached Lilly and asked her to let them play outside.

Lilly- No. You have to take someone with you .

Angel was too lazy to act . So she let Athy do her thing.

Athy- We know Lilly! Bu…bu..but ( with crocodile's tears) Angel needs the sun a..an..and fre…fresh air!!and …Angel is …is… is shy ! So , she won't be comtable with other people around! 🥺🥺🥺( baby talk)

Angel decided to help her sister who was just a little bit better than choi han , and that says it all.

Angel- Yes, mommy…I want to play with Athy🥺🥺🥺

Lilly, Athy and the others who were present were frozen from shock.

Lilly- I am not mommy, princess. But……(sign) ..okay princesses but don't be too late .return before it becomes so hot to you . And princess Angel …please call me Lilly.

Angel( who did this on purpose) –Okay, Lily! Thank you😊

Her big smile left the other speechless.

Athy was gapping and standing like a statue.

So, Angel took her hand and waved goodbye at the others.

When they were outside.

Angel- So, where now?

Athy- HOW??

Angel- (sign) You are a pathetic actor.

Athy- What?? No…I am an adorable kid!

Angel- You are a level better than choi han.

Athy- Isn't he the one who can't act to save his life? I am not that bad!!!!   Am I??

The deadpan stare was all the answer that she got.

Athy- Okay….let's go..

They were holding hands and heading to the place that Athy found.

Angel decided to teach Athy how to act because she doesn't want another choi han ,thank you very much.

She was giving her some tips when ..

Super rock- You are doing it again…

Angel- Doing what?

Theif- Teaching another baby how to scum.

Angel-………………..

She was snapped out of her thoughts by Athy telling her that they have arrived.

The place was big with no sign of life inside.

And there was even angels status made of gold!!

Angel looked at her sister who seemed to be drooling over the gold.

Athy- Is it real gold?

Angel- Yes.

Then Athy went and bite it.

Angel( stupefied face) – Really??

Athy- I want to check 😅😅

But a deep voice from behind made them jump in surprise.

-What are these pets doing here?

Angel and Athy were shocked.

The man has blond hair and jewelled- blue eyes.

It was no doubt….This was Claude.

The very person who and will end their lives, was staring at them with cold eyes.

Angel and Athy knew, they fucked up.

Athy was questioning her life so far.

She and Angel were sitting on a fancy sofa .

And , in front of them lie some mouth watering cookies and a cup of milk, each.

Don't get her wrong! She loved the luxury and the food.

The problem lies in the one sitting in front of them.

In front of them, in all his glory,  sit the bas…their fat…the emperor of the Obilia empire with his gold shinning hair and jeweled-blue eyes.

He was handsome!

But!!! The icy stare he was giving them made it hard to swallow.

Athy was wondering how her sister was able to eat without a care in the world. 

The she remembered that she was a war commander and she faced worse.

 That was what Angel was thinking as well. 

I mean she lived with seven dragons and a lot of vicious people. 

The most important part is that she survived 40 years of Ron's viciousness and lemon tea!!!

And Becroux's face when he was tutoring venion was far more scarier.

But the thing here, is that she is a child.

A normal(pff..) 2.5 years old child. 

She can't use her ancient powers or physical power to escape if something happened. Sure, she still can use the dominating aura to make them kneel or pass out. But she can't control it and may hurt Athy in the process.

Also, she can't leave Athy behind. That is why ,even if she didn't show it,she was anxious.

Angel sighed. 

She remembered what happened an hour ago.

Angel and Athy froze hearing that icy voice.

The looked up and saw the emperor ( the very same man they were trying not to see)

Athy- "We are doomed!! Why is he here?!"

Angel- "Look like this is his palace. Great job Athy! Straight to the lion's den ."

Athy- "Sorry 😖 "

Claude looked at the silent children. 

Suddenly,  he picked up Athy.

Athy- Ahh…….

She froze upon comin face to face with him.

She kept staring at him.

Claude- Why are you so heavy?

Athy- Haa?...

Angel let out a silent snicker.

That made claude look at her.

He throw Athy at Felix and bent down to pick up Angel.

Angel and Athy were startled.

Claude was frowning while holding Angel,  who had her baby stoic face and was staring at him.

Claude- Why are you so light?  Did your sister eat all of you food?

Angel" The hell is he talking about? "

While Athy and Felix looked at each other,  dumbfounded.

Claude- Now I remember you.

You are that dancer from seodona's children.

I think your names were Angelia and Athanasia. Two rulers names. That bitch dared to name you like this.

Athy was stiff in Felix's arms while Angel was thinking.

He said "now I rremember ". Does this mean that he forgot us? And he called our mother a bitch, but according to
Lilly he fall in love with mother. He gives off a weird feeling. It is familiar but not at the same time.

C.H-I know what it is!

Angel's thoughts were cut by the C.H Serious voice.

C.H-It is black despair. I can feel it on him.

Angel was shocked. Black despair wasn't supposed to exist here. Because Claude himself made sure that no black magic was used in the empire.

Her thoughts were racing but they were cut once again but this time it was Claude.

Claude- Great timing.  I was bored and you two are interesting enough.
Felix, bring the one in your arms inside.

Angel and Athy didn't know what was happening anymore. But they know one thing : they avoided death somehow , for now.

Athy and Angel were silent. 

 Claude kept staring at them. 

Claude- Why aren't you talking?  Are you mute?

Athy" This bastard! We are only 2.5 years old!"

Angel"Hmmm"

Felix- I think they are shy , your Majesty.  
After all, they are only 2.5 years old. I don't think they can talk that well yet.

Athy" I don't know if he is helping us or insulting us" 

Angel " He reminds me of two people " 

Athy " Who?" 

Angel " My puppy knight and the social butterfly " 

Athy was trying to remember who this nicknames belong to. 

Athy" Ah! Choi han and Hilsman?" 

Angel " Yes. What a scary combination. "

They were out of their bubble when they heard the emperor say something quite scary. 

Claude- Felix get out..

Felix bowed down and said- Yes, your majesty. 

Athy" NO! Come back ! Don't leave us here!"

But Felix just smiled at them and left.

Angel " Bastard " Athy " Traitor "

After Feli left, an awkward silence occurred. 

Angel was thinking about the black despair while Athy was thinking about making it out alive. 

Claude was just staring at them intensely.

Claude- You don't like the food? 

That got both of them out of their thoughts. Both of them stared at him.

Claude- You are finally looking at me. 

Athy" The hell is wrong with this bastard? "

Angel " I know ..I want to punch him even if it meant destroying that handsome face!"

Claude- Now, do you know who I am?

Athy" What should we do? " 

Athy was panicking so she ended up blurting out a: Papa?

Then she froze.  Angel also froze and Claude was staring at her again. 

Athy " I have just digged my grave deeper , haven't I?"

Angel got out of her shock quickly and observed Claude.

 She came to a conclusion while she was observing him but she still need to prove it. 

Angel"Do it again."

Athy" Are you serious?!"

Angel " Yes. I want to confirm something. "

Athy " Okay.I will trust you."

Athy took a deep breath,  looked at Claude again and said: Papa?

He looked at her and said: I finally heard your voice. You weren't mute after all. So, why didn't you talk earlier?  Well, it doesn't matter. 
What about you, are you mute?

Athy was speechless.  He wasn't angry.  She was relieved but…

Athy " That bastard!  He gave us a heart attack! And now he is making fun of us!!"

Angel was a petty person.She looked at Claude and calmly said: You are the emperor of the Obilia empire. 

Silence. 

Claude was frowning again.  So Angel continued with her plan. 

Angel-  You are papa, right? 

She gave him the big eyes with a kicked puppy expression. 

Athy was speechles once again.  She has never seen Angel act like this. She covered her eyes and thought ' my sister is so cute!! My eyes are blessed! I can die peacefully! '

Claude was looking at her. The corner of his lips were slightly twitching up.

Claude- Yes I am …..hmmm…so, why aren't you eating?  You are so light.

Angel , after confirming her suspicion,  just smiled a big and cute smile.

Angel- Thank you daddy!  Angel loves sweet!!

Claude just hummed. 

Then Angel started eating her sweet .

Athy was staring at her and wondering what has just happened. 

Angel " This bastard is a tsunderi."

Athy " You are lying! No way???"

Angel " Sign, yes. He wanted us to call him daddy and wanted to watch us eat happily."

Athy " Are we talking about the same Claude here?"

Angel surpassed a sign " Yes . I know it is shocking but I learned not to trust the novel completely.  And there is something off about him but it seems to fade a little because of us."

Athy" You mean he didn't leave us by his own will? Hard to believe. "

AAngel"I know.But, I need to look into it.

For now, just act cute. "

Athy" Okay. I trust you, Angel " 

Angel internally signed.

'It is going to be a long day .  And It will be more chaotic from now on.' 

She just wanted to go to her bed and roll on it . 

She was sure that bastad hyung of her is laughing in the after life because she is now living the royal family drama. 

'Aigoo…my poor life.'

Athy was in denial. 

Even if she trusted Angel , she has this feeling that she can't ignore either. 

She felt a deep anger toward Claude.  She didn't know where it came from because it was her first time meeting him in person. 

She just can't shake of this feeling. 

At the same time,  she felt a pang of longing hitting her. 
She doesn't know why. She didn't understand. 

Why? Why now? Why not when I...

Angel " Athy, snap out of it."

Athy was back to reality thanks to Angel's voice. 

She took a deep breath.  But the uncomfortable feeling didn't go.

Angel was watching her silently.  She knows that Athy will remember her first life somehow. 

She will remember that she longed to call Claude dad outloud. 
She longed to have him look at her with tender eyes that always looked at Janette and glared at her. 

Angel didn't like that. She wanted Athy to have a happy childhood and long life without grief or despair. 

Athy was just a child who wanted someone to love her.( Just like what kim rok soo wanted.)

Angel will be by her side.
  After all, she needed her to live to become a slacker in this life, no?

( haaahaaaaa.. yeah .... cale ...go tell that to your future self who has multiple churches in different universes and is going to become a God.😅🤣🤣🤣)

Angel " Don't think about it.  Let's just act like we want . This bastard has something blocking his memories about us and our mother.  But we can change it with our presences. Let's live happily in this life. You won't be alone.  I will always be with you. " 

Athy was really feeling weird.  It was the first time an adult ( yes , her sister is ancient even if she is cute! ) wanted to help her.

Athy ' Yes. This is my life now. I have a sister now. And a bastard of a father who lost his mind somehow.  But I will live because... ' 

Athy" Being alive is the best,  right? " 

Angel smiled " Yes. Being alive is the best."

S.R- Is this really the Cale that we know?

T- yes. It is weird. 

C.K- XXXXX Weird XXXX

C.B- He is learning to be a human with emotions. Sob .sob. I am proud of him! Sob. Sob.

C.H- I don't care! Cale let's scam him and take all his money!!! A sea of fire!!!!

Angel's smile turned into a slight frown.  Her ancient powers were really loud.  She muted them in her head.

Claude saw the expression of the twins. 

He really didn't know why he was doing this.

But he felt lighter in their presence. 

It is like a black cloud has been taken from his mind.

He didn't know what was this feeling. 

But he knows one thing .

He wanted these smiles to never leave them.

He was okay with it. 

He surprised himself with his thoughts. 

He wanted to make things right. 

He didn't know what was that he wanted to correct but he will follow his instinct. 

Claude - hmm.... you live in the ruby palace? 
( right?).

Angel -Yes, daddy. We live there with nice Lilly..oh... 

Claude frown when Angel seemed bothered by something. 

Claude - What is it ?

Angel- We have been gone for so long and Lily would be really worried. 

Claude- It is okay.  I will ask Felix to return you now.

Athy" Yeah! I don't want to stay here any longer!!!" 

Claude-  And he will come to fetch you next week. I want to see if you will gain weight or not.

Athy"......."
Angel was surpassing her laughter " see! I told you he is a tsun tsun!!!!" 

Athy"....."

Angel was right. The whole Ruby palace was in chaos. 

The maids were looking for the missing princess everywhere but they couldn't find them. 

That was until they saw someone carrying them back. 

Lily ran and hugged them tightly - Oh thank God!  I thought something happened to you. 

Angel & Athy- We are fine.  Sorry for worrying you.

Lily- It is ok..

Then she realized who brought them back.
She then hugged them more and glared at him like a lioness protecting her cubs.

Felix was feeling really awkward at the moment but he need to finish what he came here for.

Felix- The emperor ordered that the princess will be moved to the Sapphire palace.  And prepare them because he want to have tea with them next week.

He bowed and left.

Silence. 

Everyone was doubting what they heard. 

They snapped out of it at the sound of someone vomiting. 

Athy couldn't withstand the pressure anymore and vomit. 

Angel took two steps away from her.

Angel' Yes.. It is a new start.'

Athy and Angel were in bed together. Angel was listening to her ancient powers while Athy was writing something with a very concentrated face.

Angel muted her ancient powers and looked at Athy. To someone who doesn't know her well, they will miss the slight concern in her gaze.

Angel- What are you doing?

Athy- My plans.

Angel let out an amused hmm and asked- So, what have you decided to do?

Athy- Well, plan A:Not getting noticed by Claude and living inside the Ruby palace until we die.

Angel- And that plan got thrown out before even being put into action.

Athy ( the main reason for that)- Heeeheee...

Angel- Well?

Athy- Plan B: Save enough money to escape before turning 18.

Angel-  It is still a possibility. But I tried doing that , it didn't work.

Athy- You said not to trust the novel completely. Why did you say that?

Angel- I thought I was thrown into a fantasy novel where there will be a war but the MC was supposed to win and have a happy ending.

Athy- Then..?

Angel- It turned out the war drugged for about 20 years ( she ignored Athy's horrified gasp) and the villain was a reincarnator who lived for a 1000 years ( another gasp) and was the last dragon slayer ( another gasp).He had a lot of races and a god as his backing.

Athy- The fuck?.... what is it with this OP character?

Athy didn't even want to know how did Angel win . Because that means her sister was more horrifying and apparently she had killed a god. She was certain that her sister was the winner somehow.

Athy- But why did YOU get thrown there?

Angel- Because the body that he was using was originally mine.

Athy was speechless.

Angel- So, the god of death made a deal with Cale henituse to regress his world and swap his soul with mine so I can return to my original world.

Athy- I don't know what to say...

Angel- Well, a lot of things happened after that but this is the reason why you shouldn't trust the novel completely.

Athy- I understand. So, plan C?

Angel- Hmmm..?

Athy- Continue playing cute to steal Claude's heart!

Angel-........

Athy- This sounds worse saying it out loud.

Angel-  No, it can actually work.

Athy-?!??? Really!!!!

Angel- Yes. Let's just be ourselves and build a relationship with him. I already told you that he forgot about our existing not ignored it.

Athy- It is still hard to believe...

Angel- I know but I have a theory so hear me out till the end.

Athy- I am all ears.

Angel-  According to Lily, Claude loved our mother so much but he called her a bitch earlier. This isn't logical.And there is the black magic around him.
So, I guess,  him losing our mother made him use black magic to remove her- and in association our-  existence from his memories.
But the black magic is a double- edged sword.
So, our existence near him may help him get rid of the dark magic.
But this is all my theory.

Athy-....tha...that's make sense...

Angel- And remember,  Janette is the daughter of Anastacius whom Claude killed but never found his body. And duke Alpheus is the one who has her.
I think our uncle is alive somehow and that duke is helping him. But I still need more information so I am not completely sure.

Athy- WOW!! ' She realized all of this with little information!! No wonder she was a great commander!!'

Angel ' Is someone talking shit about me?'

Angel- Anyway,  let's stick with plan C but don't worry I will protect you if something happened.

Athy( smiling)- thank you,  Angel!

Angel- okay...now, let's go to sleep.  I am tired.

Athy ( giggling)- Good night,  Angel.

Angel- Hmm... Good night.

A week later,

Claude- Lilian York, long time no see.

They were brought to claude's palace again with lily.

Lily bowed- Blessing and glory upon the sun of the Obeliar empire.

Athy was stiff. Even if they decided what to do she is still scared.
Angel noticed Athy's trembling so she took her hand in hers.

Angel decided. She didn't want a repeat of what happened a few days ago.

That was awkward enough, thank you very much.

So, she put on her brightest smile( the one that gave Alberu shivers even in his grave) and said:

Athy was wearing sunglasses that came out of nowhere.' This smile is dangerous , even Claude looked like his ex's stopped working!'

True to her words, claude's ex really stopped working.

Claude took the cookie that she wanted and gave it to her in silence.

Angel shifted to a more comfortable position and started eating.

Angel" Are you just going to stand there? Do the same."

Athy was gapping like a fish out of water.

Athy" You are so bold and fearless! "

Angel" What ? He is only an Emperor and a human at that."

Athy just signed internally and marched toward them. She lifted her hands like Angel did and with a very big smile she said : Me too Daddy! I want to sit on( you) your lap!

Claude also, wordlessly, lifted her up and put her beside Angel.

Athy feeling brave:  I also want some cookies!

Claude frowned. And Athy cursed her moment of courage.

Claude- Hmmm.. You are still heavier than your sister. Are you eating all her food?

Angel" I know this feeling. "

Claude, nevertheless, gave Athy her cookie.

They started to eat in silence Claude was just watching them with a blank gaz.

Athy" What did you mean when you said that you know this feeling? "

Angel" Once, I disguised myself as the white star's nephew. He didn't know it was me . And I had to hug him and call him eldest uncle and act like an innocent child whose father fainted on the battlefield."

That was the scene that Felix saw when he came in. He just smiled and closed the door.

And just like that , Claude continued to ask for their presence every few days until it become a once a week thing.

Now, the twins are 3 years old and the first thing they hear when they come to visit claude is

Let's go back a little,

Athy and Angel were on their weekly visit to Claude.

Athy become a little brave in her interaction with Claude.

She will talk about everything and nothing (as a child should do). Angel and Claude will listen in silence or replay with a hum from time to time.

Angel told Athy a lot of stories about her past life.

It was really comfortable.The sunlight is warm and the breezes are gentle. It was really the perfect place to take a nap.

I saw that Claude was just staring at us. Agggg! He is really annoying when he does this.

Athy is looking around with an astonished expression. She looks like a child now.

If my assumption is correct, Athy's first life should be the one in the original novel, the second one was in Korea and now it is her third life.

Angel- Mother, if Athy's soul returned to this word ,doesn't that mean that something happened after her first death?

She bite her lips and moved Athy to the boat.

She dropped her on the comfy sofa they were using.

Athy started to cough.

She took a deep breath. Thankfully, she wasn't in the water for so long.

She is fine. She knows Angel had saved her like she had promised.

She opened her eyes wanting to thank her when...

Angel couldn't keep it inside her mouth anymore.

She started to cough and vomit blood.

Red blood.

It wasn't black. That means her condition is really bad.

But that's okay. At least Athy is fine.

Athy was horrified.

Angel was bleeding from everywhere, her mouth, nose, eyes and ears.

Athy didn't know she was crying and screaming at the same time.

She rushed towards Angel.

She didn't know what to do.

Angel had just fainted.

All of this happened so fast.

Claude just froze in his place at the sight of the youngest.

He remembered her words.

They were still ringing in his head.

It was his fault.

He felt his heart break.

He didn't know when he, himself, rushed to Angel's side and started using his magic to heal her.

He didn't know when they return to the land or when a horrified Felix and Lily had come to help or when he gathered Athy and Angel in his arms and rushed inside screaming for a doctor to come.

It was, after all,  his fault.

Later,

It has been one hour since two royal doctors had come to check on the princesses.

Luckily, Athy was fine, she was sitting quietly with a warm blanket dropped over her.

She was sitting next to a stone faced Claude, whose mind seemed to be in another place.

They were waiting for the doctors to tell them about Angel's condition.

Lily tried to make Athy rest, but she refused.

Lily had no choice but to leave her be.

Athy wanted to be angry with Claude, but she couldn't because she felt the guilt is eating her inside out.

If only she listened to Angel and didn't get distracted by her own desire, nothing of this could have happened.

And if only Claude got her on time or helped get her out, Angel wouldn't have felt pressured to save her.

She have never seen someone bleeding like this before.

Angel's blood was floating everywhere.

She felt so sick of herself.

She wanted Angel to save her and she forgot that they are the same physical age.

Angel's body was even weaker than her!

Claude felt conflicted. He doesn't know what he is feeling right now but he knows he hates this feelings.

Angel's word started ringing in his head again.
It was his fault?

I mean, he could have warned Athy about the creatures in the lake, he could have caught her before she felt into the water, he could have gotten her out by himself or by his own magic.

But what did he do?

Nothing.

He did nothing.

He had just sat there and watched Athy fight for her life.

He had just sat there, frozen by Angel's words and actions.

He had just sat there,frozen by the sight of Angel's blood.

He had just sat there like a useless fool.

He really promised not to let them fall.

That sound got both Athy and Claude out from their depressed thought.

The doctor's assistant told them to come inside.

They went near the bed.

Athy run and climbed the bed taking Angel's pale and cold hands in hers.

Claude stood next to them.

He looked at Angel ,who was paler than usual, but there was no visible injury.

For some reason, that made him more anxious.

He all but demanded- What happened to her?

Athy also looked at the doctor for an answer.

Claude and Athy gave off the same aura and gaz.

The doctor was frightened but he spoke-  Nothing is wrong with her highness.

Claude frowned- What do you mean? She was bleeding everywhere.

Doctor- We didn't find anything wrong with her. But she is physically weak. She is in a coma. She just need to rest, your majesty.

Athy wanted to punch that doctor!

How could he say that nothing was wrong with Angel?

That was until she remembered that Angel told her that she coughed blood and fainted many times in the past because of her weak body and the overuse of her ancient powers.

That means she is recovering!

Athy smiled. She slided next to Angel.

She felt the stress of the day coming back to her.

She felt her eyes become heavy and with Angel's breathes as her lullaby, she drifted into a deep slumber.

Claude wasn't confident with what the doctor said.

But he was the best one in the Empire.

And after he saw Athy's action ,he just let out a breath he didn't know he was holding.

Claude- You may leave.

Claude sat on the empty chair near the bed.

Now, the room was silent aside from the faint breathes of the girls.

Claude put his face in his hands.

"What have I done?"

A month.

It had been a month since Angel coughed blood.

It had been a month since she fell into a coma.

It had been a month, yet....

Athy- Why hadn't she woken up?

Athy hadn't left Angel's side since day one. She will sleep next to her, eat in her room and talk to her. She even tried talking to her mentally but Angel didn't answer.

Angel was growing paler and thinner due to the lack of nutritions.

The doctors would check on her daily. Thy didn't know when she will wake up either.

Athy's condition wasn't better.

She refused to eat most of the times unless Lily forced her.

She couldn't sleep well due to nightmares. Nightmares of her own death or that of Angel's.

She was still blaming herself for what happened.

She also hasn't seen Claude since then.

Actually, she didn't want to see him.

She was afraid that she might do something that she will regret later.

Athy' Is this how her family felt? She said she fainted a lot. How did they deal with this feeling of guilt and uselessness?'

Athy- Please ...Please wake up Angel.

I promise to do everything you tell me from now on. I will give you all my gold and sweets.

She couldn't take it anymore.

She started crying and hiccuping saying sorry over and over again.

She will do anything! She just want her sister by her side.

Her eyes felt heavy again. She laid next to Angel and drifted to sleep.

Thus, she didn't notice that Angel's finger started to twitch but it stopped as soon as it started.

Once Athy felt a sleep, a tall Shadow loomed over the bed.

Claude stared at the sleeping twins.

He heard what Athy said.

If her family back then were always concerned about her and her children were always with her after she wakes up from her coma, this was 10 times worse.

Sorry gays.. put my practical exams start next week ..then we have written exams after that.

We finish in 15/8? Maybe

So... yes .. I am going on hiatus until I finish.

And I am so angry!

That damn bitch! Our physiology professor had decided that 9 chapters ( 270 pages) wasn't enough in the practical exam so she made them 15 chapters! Like..it is practical exam why include the written part😡😡😡
