Chapter Text

Request anything with this silly guy!

I'm still 17 so I won't be writing smut/NSFW

Please try to be specific with your request

I am a sucker for angst for this guy so if you got any angst ideas don't be show and request

Want to see him in other aus? Like the Lord Eclipse dimension? Go ahead and ask!

I'll write some for myself too but I'll be sure to do your request too!

I gave Ruin the name Equinox after he got the cure so he will be using that name

Chapter 2: Reality crashes

Summary:

Decided to make this chapter Equinox angst bc the way Moon treated him in that interrogation was way out of line.

Notes:

This chapter contains: hurt not comfort

Chapter Text

Equinox wasn't stupid. Clumsy? Sure. But stupid? Definitely not. He may not be as smart as Moon and Solar are, that being showing in his work and projects. But he knew enough to follow a blueprints guidelines exactly how it's put on paper. Yet after that whole interrogation with Moon, it made him feel stupid. Belittled even. To actually think that he was even considered a acquaintance is almost laughable.

Equinox was the fool. Here he thought he trapped a threat for his friend, dare he say his family, just to be told he wasn't any of that. He was not to be trusted and his insecurities was used against him when talking to Moon. He was well aware that Solar and Moon read his documentaries so that can only mean one thing. Mood did it on purpose. As a way to have him fess up to a crime he never committed.

Currently Equinox was in the backroom security office in the Fazcade, typing another stupid document. He really thought our of everyone, Moon would understand what it's like being compared to something or someone your not. To your past self that you had no control over.

Equinox wishes every day he could take it back. The trauma he caused everyone. He despised his virus he was inflicted with. The plans that guy had was enough to make him feel sick. He spends nights overthinking rather or not he is truly cured, if he was actually fixed or if this was all just a dream and he's still in his dreadful dimension

When it was time to search through his memories he was still lost in thought. Moon took it as he was onto something. If only he could actually used that brain of his to read simple body language. Ruin has nothing to hide. He knows he doesn't. He's not scared of getting caught. He scared because the memories he doesn't remember, he didn't want to. He doesn't want to relive those memories and here he is, cabled to a computer as Moon skimmed over his memories.

Equinox kicked his legs, he didn't like being here. In this situation. With only Moon. Moon broke a trust Equinox held for him. Moon was like an idol to Equinox and yet all Moon has done was make him uncomfortable by invading his privacy.

He understands what Moon's intentions was, he wants to protect his friends and family. But Equinox was under the influence that he would be one of those friends he would want to protect. It's dawning on Equinox that he truly was the outcast like like Eclipse had said. He's not home, he's living somewhere, but that somewhere isn't home.

To think that Equinox didn't see this sooner makes him feel more stupid. It was really all in his head. He was making up that he was a part of an happy family because he never got to experience that. His Sun and Moon would always fight and argue, and even after the merge, he didn't get to have control over his body for long before his father decided he would give him a virus that just ruined his like. Haha see what he did there? Ruin? Ruined?

After the memory search was finished the two sit in silence for a little while. Moon was far to busy thinking about who could have done this, because surprise surprise, Equinox was innocent. Equinox was looking at the ground, thinking about what he saw on the footage of his past. He had a virus... for almost 30 years in his dimension. It was a lot to process.

Without saying anything he stood up, breaking the silence when ripping the cable bro his head that connected his files to the computer. He would say "I told you so" if it wasn't for the fact he was grieving. His home will never be his home, this place will never be his home, he was never gonna be to find a place to call home or people to call family. He really was the outcast. Not even Solar is this deep as him. At least he had people to be there for him.

"Rain wait." Moon finally spoke up. Equinox stopped in his tracks. He sometimes forgets he told them to call him Ruin instead of Equinox. Instead of replying he just turns to face Moon again.

"I said I would apologize right?" Moon gave a small smile and it made Equinox want to puke. It was fake. Everything about this was fake and he can't help but want to just isolate himself again for another 2 weeks.

"... I don't think a simple apology will fix the damage done. Not this time." With that he left, leaving a concerned Moon back behind to go back to the office in the Fazcade. He needed to vent again...

Chapter 3: 2

Summary:

Just a part two of the last chapter now that I'm out of school

Inspiration from a commenter requesting for him and Eclipse getting along. I decided to make things still tense but they both comfort each other.

Chapter Text

Equinox was pissed. Not happy one bit. Not only did he just finish having to see his passed memories, now he is bunking with they guy that just threatened to kill him the day before. There was a tense silence in the room, both are staring daggers at the other person.

If Equinox had to describe Eclipse in a few words he would have a list that reaches the north pole. But to summarize it for you; he's a scumbag asshole, who is far to cocky for his own good. He was really looking forward to Eclipse's death.

Now don't get Equinox wrong. He's all for redemption. He wants to see good in Eclipse, but all the other has been doing sense he met him was insult, threaten and kidnap him. You really can push one person so far before they just snap at you. And believe it or not, Equinox has more self respect than to just let some jerk belittle him and believe every word he says.

Right now, Equinox was just trying to ignore him, he has to find something to do to keep his mind at ease. (A trait he gets from both his Sun and Moon) and Eclipse was looking over his shoulder, trying to see any loophole to how he could make stuff like a barrier and not fix a simple arcade machine.

"That doesn't go there." Eclipse finally says something, breathing the silence, Equinox ignored him. If the video guides said do this than he is doing it his own way and not because some jerk told him to do something else.

Though Eclipse was deemed correct when the hard drive over heated and sent a shock through his hand. Equinox pulled his hand away so fast after that and clinched his fist, groaning.

"I DID tell you it didn't go there." Eclipse says once more. Finally Equinox glared up at Eclipse, giving him the coldest state, and Eclipse can't help but compare it to the time Sun went in a killing spree and held a sword to him.

"Shut up. I don't need your 'i told you so' s! Aren't you supposed to he looking for you STUPID magic pool or WHATEVER it's called?!" Equinox snapped at Eclipse who seemed unfazed.

"Struck a nerve there huh-" "what did I do? What? Because I'm half Sun and Moon that means I'm just as bad as them?! I didn't do ANYTHING to you! I wasn't the one that forced you into isolation and neglected you, so for ONCE can someone PLEASE you the brain you claim you have and actually think logically?!" Equinox glared at Eclipse who glared right back at him.

"That's not what this is." Eclipse grumbled under his breath. Equinox took a step closer to him and used the hand he didn't shock to push Eclipse out of his way.

"I don't have time for this, I need to find SOMETHING to do. I can't- I can't just sit here! Surely if I just fix enough of these they will actually trust in me? If I help out enough maybe? But it should have been more than enough to- to trap YOU!" Equinox snapped his head towards Eclipse.

"Why do you get offered a chance to live then I get threatened to be killed and or tortured? How do they think a simple 'sorry' will make up for that shit?"

Eclipse was not expecting this, and as funny as he thought it was to watch someone who was as small as Equinox was ranting and getting angry, he felt pity? Remorse? Like he could understand that feeling and understand what it's like to not have comfort during those times.

Equinox takes a few deep breaths before looking down at his hand that got shocked, he blew out the joints in his hand causing it to go stiff. That's probably why he had that outburst just now. It was pretty painful and people tend to freak out when in pain.

Eclipse approached Equinox and looked down at him. "So... Why did you build your body shorter than the others. Either way I'm taller but your noticably shorter than the twins and that... Replacement of me."

Equinox was already done with this conversation. "Two reasons. One being that I thought it would come off as less intimidating, and two being that I followed the blueprints and the body was designed to be shorter. Something I'm assuming Solar did for safety measures or to feel more comfortable. That sure worked out." He mumbled the last part.

Eclipse hummed in response and nodded. Interesting indeed. Equinox seemed to do a lot of things for the others comfort and safety, hell he even risked his life when searching the bunkers to find him.

"Have they ever given you anything in return?" Eclipse could not lie he was interested. Equinox was not in the mood for a therapy session right now, but Eclipse won't shut up.

"They freed me from my curse." He replied dryly. Eclipse raised a brow at that. He was expecting him to say more but there was nothing more too it. "Only that? That's the bare minimum. They literally only did it to help themselves, not even for you." Eclipse noted and it only made Equinox more upset. "Doesn't change the fact they did do it and now I can actually live."

"Can you though? Do you truly have freedom? Your being questioned left and right and-"

"Stopping you right there. Don't pretend you don't want me dead any less then the others do. Your not slick. You were going in deep detail about how you would kill me just yesterday. So if this is your own kind of manipulation or some kind of sick joke then don't even try." Equinox cut him off.

Eclipse was shocked.

"No. I just can't help but relate to your situation. Having no one there to care for you during a dark time. It's why I'm the way I am. I had no one to save me from that dark time." Eclipse says, taking a hold of Equinox's damaged hand and looked it over.

Equinox doesn't pull away. Need down he was wanting someone to understand, someone to care enough to hear his side of things, someone to rely on.

But was Eclipse the best person to turn to?

"I wasn't lying when I said I wanted to help repair you Eclipse. I want to be there to help you and prove you can be good. Right now your proving my point." Equinox brought this topic back up.

Equinox says nothing for a while. Before letting out a genuine chuckle. It felt so real.

"We can help repair each other."
