The Ending To The Greatest Battle

Short wars ending, but like.. I dunno

This is how Shorts Wars should end

Work Text:

"WOOHOO!" Riggy cheered, tossing his paws up into the air, "We did it! We defeated the (bad) clones! You know what that means.."

"HIT IT, GUYS!"

Royal Pear "turned" over towards Royal Melon and both of them "nodded", now perched on a DJ booth, with a press of a button and a wiggle of one of the records, a familiar song blasted through the two, massive, speakers.

"I GOT THIS FEELING!" The song started up, lights flashing and lighting up the room, "INSIDE MY BONES. IT GOES ELECTRIC, WAVEY, WHEN I TURN IT ON."

The creators danced on the illuminescent dance floor, their shoes- or paws, really doesn't matter-screeching on the glowing and flashing pad.

"ALL THROUGH MY CITY, ALL THROUGH MY HOME!"

Royal Pear, and Melon, both scratched the records, as if they knew what they were doing.

"WE'RE FLYING UP, NO CEILING, WHEN WE'RE IN OUT ZONE."

As everybody danced, and played, one stood in the corner of the room, tapping his paw in response to the music, trying to be discreet. Preston hummed along, with his paws crossed and back to the walls of the corner.

"Come dance with us," spoke a higher pitched voice, the Runkey walking up to the clone in the corner.

"WhY would I WanT to dance with a bUncH of losers?"

"Why are you tapping your foot?" Riggy snarked back, tilting his head, smiling.

Preston was caught off guard, "Uuuuhm.."

"Come on, sour-pants." Riggy grabbed Preston's wrist and dragged the clone to the dance floor.

"I GOT THAT SUNSHINE IN MY POCKET!"

 

Once the two reached the dancefloor, the Runkey looked at the other, "you know how to dance? Or do I need to show you how?"

Preston ripped his paw away from Riggy, "I know HoW to dance, tHanK you very much." He glared at the animal.

"Alright, prove it."

 

"GOT THAT GOOD SONG IN MY FEET."

Preston started shuffling his feet, dancing alongside everyone else. Finding it.. actually kind of fun.

 

"I FEEL THAT HOT BLOOD IN MY BODY WHEN IT DROPS!"

 

He laughed along with the others as everyone danced, partying around, making amends and friendships..

 

Before they were all promptly shot and killed by The Boss.. whoops.
