Chapter 1: Chapter 1
Chapter Text
Enola looked around, oke so she wanted to get to the hazbin hotel. But how did she get to this point? She's in the middle of the vee's turf, with no clue where she is, and if she uses her powers she will be found out by Vox, the media demon. This sucked. But once again, how did she get to this point? Well? Let's dive into a bit of Enola's history to find out who she is and how she got here.
You see, Enola is no normal child, no, she was the child of a hellborn, her mother, and a sinner, her father, wich meant she was able to travel to each ring of hell unlike sinners. Her mother was a mere imp, though somehow she was still able to seduce a sinner, an overlord no less.
Yeah, you read that correctly, She was the child of an imp and overlord, funny right? Wait, no, I'm getting sidetracked.
Well, it was an understatement to say her mother hated her, no, her mother despised her. Her father had payed her mother to take her and move to another ring of hell, to shut the fack up about the fact she bore his child. He didn't need word coming out he slept with a slut, an imp none the less.
And so, her mother moved to the lust ring, pregnant with Enola. Once she was born her mother went back to her old way, sleeping around with anybody she could, though she never got pregnant again, nah, she took precautions, took medication to make sure she wouldn't get pregnant again, one child her mother didn't care about was enough. Because of her mother sleeping around Enola was often home alone, and ever since she could walk she had to take care of her self. Make sure she was fed, clean up after her mom had a man over, stuff like that. And to make matters worse her mother abused her, locked her in cupboards when she didn't listen to her, hit her when she was drunk, refuse to feed her and alot more.
When she was eight and a half she decided enough was enough and ran away, she stayed in the lust ring for another year and a half and when she had escaped almost being caught a few times she decided to move to the greed ring, she knew her mother was looking for her, not because she loved her but because she was payed to make sure nobody knew who's child she was.
Enola knew they would be looking for her in the lust ring, not the greed ring so she snuck into the first elevator leaving for another ring she could, she had to be careful, if she wasn't she would be caught and send back to her horrible mother, and she didn't want that.
Once she arrived in the greed ring she found a safe looking alley to sleep in for the night, her first mistake. Once she woke up the bag she had with her was gone, stolen when she was still asleep. Many people in the greed ring wanted to take advantage of her, but she was strong, so she prevailed, surviving through the words thrown her way, the rape, and everything else thrown her way.
After eight years of living in the greed ring she had heard about an hotel, the hazbin hotel, wich rehabilitated sinners, she thought about going there and joining the staff, far away from her mother. But she was faced by another problem, her father. There was a big chance he was still alive, and probably wouldn't want to see her in the pride ring, the only ring the sinners could go, so she had to be careful.
She never fully knew who her father was, only that he was one of the vee's, and that if she wanted to get to the hazbin hotel she would most likely need to cross through their turf. And that's how she got to where she is now, somewhere in the vee's turf, lost and unable to use her powers to find her way.
Oh right, I forgot to mention, she was able to manipulate electronics and such to her will, do with that information what you wish, oh and she could disappear into cameras and appear somewhere else, aslong as there were cameras she would be able to get around unnoticed. Now that everything is explained and done, let's get back to dear Enola shal we?
Enola looked around, noticing that cameras were fixated on her, shit, did Vox notice she was here? Did he know who she was? She had to move, now. So she walked, as if nothing was wrong, as if she hadn't noticed the cameras following her every move. At some point she had noticed people gathering by television's, she was curious and decided to look, seeing two demons... singing?
Weird, could've sworn the two demons were both overlords, well to bad.
One of the demons looked like a deer, wearing a red with a darker red suit. The other demon had... a TV for a head? What the actual fack? Wait, he looked somewhat similar to her, the eyes, the skin tone, even the taller build, he looked so much like her.
Wait, that's Vox, one of the vee's, wich means the other demon was Alastor, the radio demon. But last she heard he hasn't been heard from for atleast seven years. She shook her head, moving on from the crowd and keeping a steady pace. She knew the more you looked like you weren't worth the trouble the less people who would try to attack you.
She had finally left the vee's turf, now in the outskirts of pentagram city, she had heard that the Hazbin Hotel was around there, and it seemed that what she heard was correct, seeing she could see the somewhat rundown hotel. Shame it looked like it was abandoned.
She walked up to the door, hesitating abit before knocking on the door, half expecting nobody to open. Oh how unprepared she was to see the girl who opened the door, she was met with a tired looking woman, who had white skin with red splotches on her cheeks, her hair looked golden with a white streak wich reached towards her lower back, tied into a low hanging pony tail, she was wearing a red suit, though, when the woman saw Enola she seemed to brighten up, an energetic smile on her lips. "Welcome, welcome! Im so happy you decided to come, come in come in!"
She gestured happily for Enola to come inside, stepping to the side to allow her to walk in. "Uuhm, hello, it's a pleasure to meet you? The name is Enola."
"Ah, excuse my manners, I'm Charlie, daughter of Lucifer, princess of hell and owner of the Hazbin Hotel! It's so nice to meet you Enola!" Enola froze, shit, how hadn't she realized who the girl was?
She immediately bowed. "I'm so sorry, your majesty for not recognizing who you are! I deeply apologize."
"No, no! Please don't do that! Oh, please don't bow, please stand up again, you don't have to do that! I assume you came here with a reason though? You don't look like a sinner... oh, are you a hellborn looking to work here?! If so, we'd love to have you here!" Enola was dumbfounded, she... didn't have to bow?
"Erm, your right, I am a hellborn looking to work here if it was posible? And if you would have me, ofcourse." She had glanced around, noticing the lack of electronica around the room. Weird, she could have sworn she had sensed some earlier.
Charlie smiled brightly, clapping her hands excitedly. "Oh, just wait until you get to know the others! We currently have two guests, Angle dust and sir Pentious! Oh, don't forget about the other staff, Husker, the bartender, Nifty, the maid, Alastor, the manager and them me and Vaggie, the owners! Oh, maybe you could be the receptionist?" Charlie was half dragging her to the lounge, excitedly rambling on and on about some stuff.
Enola was gonna get a headache if she didn't calm down. Once they got out of the hallway Enola looked around the room, once again noticing the lack of electronics.
There were five people she didn't recognize in the room, she looked at the bar, seeing two sinners there, one looking like a spider with four arms and one with a cat like appearance and wings. Huh, interesting.
She looked towards the couch, spotting a snake looking man and a girl with long white and gray hair. Somewhere else in the room she noticed a smaller girl with one eye in a maid outfit, huh, interesting bunch here.
"Hey guys, somebody just offered to work here! Come on, let's do an introduction circle!"
"Wait, wha- woah!"
Before Charlie could let her finnish her sentence she bad pulled ber towards the couch, sitting her down. "Angel, Husker, come here!" She looked at the two demons at the bar, the spider demon seemed annoyed while the other one just walked over, slightly dragging the spider demon along.
Once everybody was seated Charlie spoke up, motioning towards one of the demons. "This is Vaggie, my girlfriend!"
"Nice to meet you..?"
"Angel, your turn!" Charlie chimed in, not giving Enola the chance to introduce herself.
"I'm Angel dust toots, heard of me? I know you have." Enola seemed confused, frowning a little.
"Actually, I haven't, you famous or something?" Angel dust seemed somewhat offended, placing two of his hands over his heart. "What do you mean you haven't heard of me? You ain't from pride or something?"
"I used to live in the lust and greed ring, never really left those two rings." Enola shrugged, leaning against the back of a couch.
"Weird, you a hellborn on somethin?" Enola nodded, an awkward smile on her lips.
"Oke, next person!" Charlie chimed in again, motioning to the cat like demon. "The name's Husker, but call me Husk."
"Got it." "Hi, I'm Nifty! It's so nice to have another girl here! I'm the maid!" Enola was suprised by the sudden closeness of the little girl, leaning a little more back. "Uhm, hi?"
took a close look at her, a creepy smile on her face. "You're very clean! I like you already." The little girl backed up a little, giving Enola more space, she looked at the snake guy expectantly, waiting for him to introduce himself. "Ah, right! I am sir Pentious, fair lady! It's an honor to meet you."
"It's nice nice meet you to, sir Pentious." Enola smiled a little, stiffening a little when she realized everybody was looking at her. "Oh, right. I'm Enola, nice to meet you all. Oh, and Nifty, I'm not fully a girl. I go by she/they, I'm a demi-girl." "Ooh, sorry to jump to conclusions! Still nice to have another half girl here!" Enola smiled a little at that, atleast they were accepting about their identity.
"Well look at this! Who's the new person? Somebody that decided to try their luck and try to get into heaven?" Enola froze up at the voice, wait... that was Alastor, the radio demon. The princess did- oh Satan, how could she let that go over their head?
Shit, shit shit! If Alastor knew who they were she was absolutely facked! "Actually, Enola is a hellborn, she offered to work here! Isn't that great?" Charlie said, a bright smile on her lips. "Enola hm? Nice name, it'll be a pleasure to work with you."
Enola hadn't looked at the demon she knew was standing behind her yet, she didn't want him to see her eyes, she knew if he did they were facked, there was no chance they would be able to work here then. She knew Alastor would be able to identify them.
"Pleasure to meet you, Alastor." Fack it. Enola turned around, a smile on lips as she looked up at Alastor. The demon in question narrowed his eyes at her, staring right into her eyes.
When Alastor looked into Enola's eyes he knew he sensed something familiar about them, he just didn't know what. He widend his smile a little holding a hand for her to shake in greeting. "It indeed is, a pleasure to meet you." Enola took his hand, shaking it firmly.
"Hey Alastor, can you believe they don't know who I am? Unbelievable right?" Angel dust chimed in, all of his arms crossed.
"Hm? Your telling me this sweet demon doesn't know who you are? That does sound absurd now does it?" "It doesn't sound absurd, I'm a hellborn, lived in the lust and greed rings." Elona cut in, crossing her arms as she stood up, reaching to Alastors shoulders.
Weird, nobody was almost as tall as him- Vox was. He knew there was something familiar in those eyes, the skintone and the build, Enola had that same tall and lanky build Vox had, she had his eyes and Grey blue ish skin. She was Vox' daughter. How did he not realize as soon as he saw her?
"You..?" He muttered. "Well it was a pleasure to meet you Enola, but I think it's time for me to take my leave, I hope you guys have a wonderful time!" He disappeared into the shadows, reappearing in his room.
Shit. Shit shit shit! He recognized her, no way he wasn't gonna try to kill her now... unless he could help her find her father? She never knew him, she only knew he was a vee, nothing more... could Alastor help her..? Would he want to? Wait, not here, not now. Business talk with Charlie first.
"Earth to Enola? Hellooo?" Angel dust was infront of her, waving one of his hands infront of her face. "Ah, sorry. I was zoned out, what is it Angel dust."
"You said you lived in the lust ring for a while, what's it like there?" She thought for a bit, one of her hands in her short hair. "Lustfull, I'll tell you that. It's been like... eight years since I've been there, so gimme a second to think... alot of sluts, that's for sure. Seeing my mother was one, you'd also be suprised how little rape there is going on down there, it's alot less then up here that's for sure. Gotta thank Asmodeus for that one, always saying consent is key to well, sex. Good fella. Anyway, not really that different then from here, just les rape and more consent when it comes to that shit. Oh, and it's alot more friendly to children on the streets then you think, sure, there's the occasional slur thrown at you but that's it. Asmodeus is very serious about making sure everybody in his ring is comfortable, even if it's hard."
"Who's this... Asmodeus you keep mentioning?" Enola looked suprised that he asked, frowning a little. "You've never heard of the sin of lust? Or the seven deadly sins in general? Their like the seven people that rule over hell alongside Lucifer. Their the third strongest, Lucifer is the strongest, then his wife and daughter and then the seven deadly sins. Every hellborn is thought this as soon as they can talk. 'Never mess with a sin, it'll go very bad.'"
Angel dust nodded, seemingly thankful for the explanation. "Thanks toots." He walked away, leaving Enola alone with sir Pentious,Charlie and vaggie.
"Soo, what job would you like? Alot is still open." "I'll be the receptionist, don't worry about it. And no, I will not accept payment, see it as a friend helping a friend." Enola smiled at Charlie, her hands fiddling with the cloth that hung from her belt.
"That's great! But no payment? That feels like I'll be taking advantage of youuuu, I'll feel bad." "I'll be fine, only thing I want in return is a room I can stay in, I don't really have a house, like, anywhere." Enola chuckled awkwardly, letting go of the cloth that hangs from her belt.
"I guess... but it still feels wrong!" Charlie smiled a little, taking Enola's hand to guide her to the room she would be staying at, atleast, that's what they thought Charlie was gonna do, until she knocked on a door and Alastor opened. "Hey Al, Enola needs a room to stay in, are any free per chance?"
"Hmm... on the top of my head, no. But I'll check if need be." Enola internally cursed, why the fack did stuff never work out? Alastor disappeared into his room, coming back out within a few minutes. "There is a room free next to mine, though if I'm correct it used to be used as a storage room, but if we put dear old Nifty on the case it should be cleaned within the hour."
Charlie smiled, "Great! I'll ask Nifty to start working on it! I hope you don't mind?" Enola shook her head, she was happy to even get a room. "I don't mind waiting a bit, I'll just wait in the lounge until Nifty's done." Charlie pulled Enola with her again, giving her a tour of the hotel. Once the tour was done (the tour took like... two hours?) she plopped down onto the couch and let out a sigh, dear Satan Charlie could talk alot.
She really wanted to sleep, but she wasn't sure whether her room was clean, and where it even was. A few minutes after she plopped down on the couch Nifty approached her, a key in hand. "Enola? You awake? I cleaned your room!" "Hm? Ah, thanks Nifty, i really appreciate it."
She took the key offered to her by Nifty, getting up to walk to their room when she realized something. She was next to Alastor. Did he do it on purpose to make sure she wouldn't do anything? Or was it a mere coincidence? She wasn't sure, and she for sure as hell wasn't gonna ask Alastor. Once she was infront of her room she opened the door, taking a look around the room. It was fairly plain, a bed, a dresser, a desk and some ports for charging. She'd need to ad some stuff to make it more... her. She closed the door behind her, locking it. She flicked her fingers, some fairy lights appearing in her room, blue and red ofcourse, to give the room a bit more personality.
She looked at the walls, wich were painted beige. Hm, not her type of go to color but alright. She sat down in the bed, once again flicking her fingers to ad some pillows. This was already alot better, fairy lights and pillows always make a bland room alot better. She looked at the door as somebody knocked, getting up to unlock and open it. Once she opened the door she was faced by Alastor, a creepy smile on his face.
"Oh, Alastor! How can I he-" "Don't even try to pretend that you're not here to spy on me." He forced his way inside Enola's room, closing the door once he's inside. "What?" Enola asked dumbfounded. "Don't, 'what?' Me, I won't fall for your little act. I know who's daughter you are, stop pretending."
Alastor loomed over her, that smile never faltering. "I truly don't know what you mean, I never knew my father. I've lived in the lust and greed rings for my intire live, I arrived in the pride ring today." Enola felt like Alastor knew something, something she didn't, and she wanted to know what. "Who do you even think my father is?" "Vox." Alastor spat the name out like it was venom, like the person the name belonged to absolutely disgusted him.
"That... actually makes sense. Huh." Alastor almost, almost, faltered. He looked down on Enola, frown evident even as he was still smilling. "You truly don't know your father? Never met him?" "Yes, he paid my mother to make sure nobody even knew I existed."
"Sounds like something Vox would do." "I'm not sure whether to be happy I know who my father is, or absolutely terrified." "Neither, you should be cautious. If the wrong person finds out your as good as gone, nobody likes the vee's that much, and I don't think they'll like their kids either."
Enola froze at that, shit. She hadn't thought of that. She glanced around the room, double checking to make sure there weren't any cameras. "Could you... not tell anybody? I don't think I'm ready to tell any of them yet, and I don't want them to hate me." Alastor nodded, hands resting on his cane.
"Will do litle one. And I suppose you'd like to meet your father first?" "Is that... possible..? I mean, I kinda do wanna meet him." Alastor grinned, genuinely grinned, and put a hand on Enola's shoulder. "Ofcourse it's possible, you'll just come to the next overlord meeting with me, see it as me taking a... pupil with me to learn." Enola nodded slowly, she felt like there would be a catch. "When is the next meeting?"
"At midnight, wich is in... an hour, so we should get going little one!" Alastor opened the door and walked out, Enola walking hastily after him once she locked her door.
The two demons walked in silence, Enola looking at some of the buildings they past. She wasn't sure what part of pentagram city they were in, but it looked a little vintage. They arrived at a warehouse, Alastor holding a door open for Enola to walk through, following closely after once she was through.
He lead them to the meeting room, opening the door to show three overlords already there, and christ on a stick did Enola feel out of place. Enola followed closely behind Alastor, eyes scanning the room for cameras incase a quick escape was needed.
"Ah, hello old friends! I hope that you guys don't mind that I brought somebody with me, meet Enola, she's my pupil." "Pupil? Alastor dear, why didn't you tell me you took in a pupil? I feel betrayed that you didn't tell me sooner!" A woman somewhere on the table said, a bright smile on her face.
The woman stood up and walked over, shaking Enola's had enthusiasticly. "Hello sweetie, the name's Rosie! It's such a pleasure to meet ya!" Enola awkwardly smiled. "It's nice to meet you to, Rosie."
"Rosie, I think it's best me and my pupil sit down and wait until the others are here." Alastor gently nudged Enola along, pulling out a chair for her to sit on and then sitting down next to her.
There were two other demons there, one that had grey skin and hair that pointed upwards and another one that had black skin and had spider eyes. She recognized the one with spider eyes as Zestial, though she couldn't place the other one even if the woman did look similar she just couldn't place her.
After a few minutes of waiting the door barged open, three people stepping in. Enola took a deep breath, immediately identifying the three as the vee's, the one in the middle Velvette, the one on the right Valentino and the one on the left Vox. Oh dear Satan, Vox was staring right at her. "Who's that? New overlord or something?" Vox pointed at her, bringing Velvette's and Valentino's attention to her.
"She's my pupil, nothing to worry about Vox." Alastor cut in, wich relieved Enola alot, she felt like Vox recognized her, like he knew that she was his child.
"She looks cool, great fashion." Velvette motioned to her clothes. "Little outdated though." "Hm, she'd make a great actress in one of my movies, might even rival Angel dust. To bad she's Alastor's pupil." Valentino said, look Enola up and down making them cringe. She thought she'd be known with the feeling of being looked up and down by now, but nope, still as weird as it always was.
"Don't think I don't know what you do to poor Angel dust, and don't look at my pupil like that." Alastor cut in again, Enola was glad he did, atleast now Valentino wasn't looking at her anymore. "Aaw, is the big bad Alastor scared I might steal away your pupil?" Valentino said, a mocking edge to his voice.
"I agree with Alastor, don't look his pupil like that, Val." Vox said, glaring a little at Valentino. Woah, where did that come from? Enola didn't think he was like that with just anybody.
"Calm down Vox, I was just kidding, jeez." The three demons sat down, the woman with the pointed hair stood up. "This will be everybody for the meeting today, once again thank you Rosie for allowing us to use this warehouse in Cannibal town while the original meeting house get restored. As all of you have noticed we will be joined by Alastors pupil, so I want everybody in their best behavior, got it? We'll do a quick round of introductions, only names. Carmila Carmine."
She said, and the name rung some bells by Enola, right, carmine guns. "Zestial." Zestial spoke up, Rosie and the others doing so aswell. Once everybody was done they looked at Enola, making her freeze, right, she still needed to say her own name. "Enola."
"With that out of the way let's get down to business, the extermination has been moved forwards by half a year, wich mean more people will be killed. Last extermination was mostly focused at Pranto's turf, he himself was killed aswell during the extermination, wich means a turf war is gonna happen. We need to be prepared for the new overlord to also go for our turf, so be prepared to fight." Carmine said, looking at everybody at the table with a serious expression.
"If the new overlord immediately goes for our turf, don't they have a death wish? We're the most powerful of them all! We'll expect for Enola ofcourse, but you get what I mean!" Velvette said. "Nothing personal, by the way." Enola merely nodded, she hadn't taken it personally so she didn't blame Velvette for what she said.
"One finds oneself agreeing with Velvette, if the new overlord were to even suggest that they would attack us, they would not make it far." Zestial said, looking at Carmine.
"I know, but still, be ready for the possibility they'll try." Carmine said, looking at the vee's in particular. "Oi, we ain't stupid." Valentino said once he noticed Carmine looking at them.
Enola looked the way of the vees, noticing Vox looking at her. She tilted her head to the side in question, curious as to why he was looking at her. Vox looked away, focusing on the meeting again. After a while the meeting ended, Enola noticing Vox looking at her once every while during the meeting but paid it little mind.
Alastor and Enola heading back to the hotel once everything was done and wrapped up. Once they were infrong of Enola's room Alastor bid her farewell. Enola opened the door, closing and locking it behind her. She fell down into bed and fell asleep seconds after, stars was she tired.

Enola woke up to pounding on her door, She groaned as she stood up to open the door, being greeted by Charlie. "Hey Enola, we were going to eat breakfast but noticed you weren't there, want to join us?"
"Sure, let me just... put on some other clothes, I've worn these for way to long." Enola smiled a little, Charlie nodding and walking away, leaving Enola alone. Enola looked around, eyes landing on the closet in the corner of the room. They supposed that getting some clothes in there wouldn't hurt, right? She opened to closet door, smilling a little at the fact there was already a uniform there.
She might as well get used to wearing it. She put it on, looking in the mirror. She wore a normal looking suit, the jacket being a dark red with dark blue stripes, the pants the same dark blue as the stripes on her jacket. There was also some stuff dangling from her horns, stars at the end of the small chains. She supposed it would do.
Oh right, did I forget to mention that Enola has horns and tail like any other imp? Oops, sorry!
Enola made her way to the dinning hall, opening the door to see Niffty trying to kill some bugs, Husk just sipping on his coffee, Angel dust holding a... was that a pig? Well alright, Charlie and Vaggie sitting next to eachother and just eating and Alastor nowhere to be found.
She sat down at the table, grabbing some of the food that was set out on it. "Soo, how did you sleep?" Charlie asked, a slight smile on her lips. "Hm? Oh, i slept great! fell alseep a little late, but i slept great!" Enola smiled a little as well, glancing at the door because she though she saw something moving, quickly realizing it was just her imagination.
"Wait a second, where's sir Pentious?" Enola just now realized sir Pentious wasn't here, how hadn't she realized earlier? She was always so observant, bad Enola! Bad Enola! "Oh, he decided to sleep in today, him and the egg boys were really tired for some reason." "Egg... boys? Can i get some context on that?" "Kinda like Pentious' children, don't worry to much about it." Enola nodded, eating her food. Dear Satan has it been a while since she had proper food!
"Good morning ladies and gentelman! How has everybody been holding up? Good i hope? Wouldn't be fun if you all weren't fine." Alastor said as he walked in, that signature smile of his on his face. "That's one way of saying you care about us..." Enola grumbled, glancing Alastor's way. "Hah! Happy to see you had some proper sleep!" Alastor chuckled, walking over to sit next to her. Enola roled her eyes, contineuing to eat her food.
Everybody ate in a comfortable silence until the doorbell rang, Charlie shooting up as she heard it, running to the door, only to come back a little bit later with a shocked expresion on her face. "Alastor, why is Vox here?" Enola nearly chocked on her food, her head shooting Charlie's way. "Who is at the door?!" Vaggie having a similar reaction as her. Alastor also didn't look amused, standing up. "I have no clue, did he ask for me?" Charlie shook her head, "no, he actually asked for Enola."
What? "Not home!" Enola said, sinking down into her chair, causing Alastor to laugh. "Why aren't you home exactly, dear? Not like Vox is here to kill you." Alastor asked, patting Enola's head. "You know whyyyyy." Enola whined, head resting against the table.
"Fine." Alastor said. "But what do you want me to say, and no Charlie I will not alow you to see Vox again." "Just tell Vox I'm out exploring or something, make up an excuse." Alastor nodded, standing up.
Alastor made his way to the front door, not looking forwards to seeing Vox again. The princess had complained about him not allowing her to get near Vox, but he wasn't gonna take chances around the little sneaky bastard.
Once Alastor was infront of the door he opened it, being greeted by the oh so nice view off Vox. "Pleasure to see you again! What can I do for you?" "I asked for Enola, where is she?" Vox bit out, a scowl on his screen. "She's out exploring town I'm afraid, she isn't available right now." Alastor smiled, titling his head to the side.
Vox muttered some stuff under his breath, presumably cursing before speaking up again. "Please give this to her, and no, you can not look what's on the paper." Vox handed Alastor a smal folded paper, walking away after.
"It was very pleasant talking to you!" Alastor said as Vox walked away, turning around to go back to the dinning hall. Once he was back he sat down next to Enola again, now that he thought about it she was a very nice young lady, sneaking her the folded paper.
When Alastor snuck her the folded paper she didn't question it, merely making a mental note to open it in private after breakfast. "What did he want?" Enola asked, having eaten most of her food. "Didn't tell, just walked off after I said you were out exploring town."
"Isn't that a little weird? I mean why come here, ask for somebody that arrived literally yesterday and then just walk away without explanation." Vaggie cut in, a slight frown on her face. "Also, aren't you and him enemies or something?"
"Sometimes it's best to not ask questions dear." Alastor said, that creepy smile off his on his face. Oke, time to defuse the situation! "Hey, who wants to hear a story from my past? I think it's a pretty cool story to say so myself." Enola cut in, Charlie lighting up at what she said.
"Please do! I'm curious!" Enola chuckled, leaning back in her chair, not really giving vaggie or Alastor the time to react. "So, who here knows about Fizarolie? He's kinda important, so you do kinda need to know who he is."
"Isn't he some sort of clown? I've seen some of his robots around the studio! Their pretty cool." Angel dust said, deciding to join the conversation. "Indeed Angel dust! He is a clown! A famous one at that, he knows Asmodeus, the sin of lust. He's also important to the story, atleast somewhat." Enola said, a slight smile on her lips.
"When I was 9 and had been living on the streets for about half a year..."
Let's dive into the memory shall we?
She had been living on the streets for half a year, sure, she wasn't the safest, but atleast it was safer then staying with her abusive mother.
She had just gotten away with stealing some food when somebody approached her, an older looking imp. "Hey there little one, where's your parents? Aren't you supposed to be at home at this time of day? It isn't safe out."
"I- I ran away, my mom abused me, I- I didn't feel safe anymore- please don't take me back!" Enola had backed away a bit, glancing around to be able to escape. She had a weird feeling about this guy. And ofcourse she was right, the man had a gun and he pulled it out, pressing it against her head.
"You're gonna listen and listen closely, your facking life depends on it. You're gonna walk with me and act as if nothings wrong, and we're gonna go nice and quiet walk back to your mom's house, yeah?" Enola nodded, tears brimming her eyes.
"Good." They had started walking when they almost ran into somebody, the person wearing clown like atire. "Look where your going!" The man with the gun said, obviously mad. "You should look where your going-" the man that looked like a clown said, eyes narrowing when he realized Enola was almost crying.
"Hey there little one, you alright? You look like your about to cry. Want to see a cool trick?" The clown had offered, putting a gentle hand on Enola's shoulder. Enola didn't answer, looking at the ground instead. "I think me and my daughter need to get going, it's late and she's supposed to be in bed. Come on."
The man with the gun half dragged her away, leaving the clown behind, which soon realized something wasn't right and caught up to them. "Hey, what's your name sweetie?" The clown had pulled Enola away from the man, gently holding her. "E-enola." She said, tears once again brimming her eyes.
"That's a beautiful name sweetheart. Is this man your father? Please be honest, I promise he won't hurt you if he isn't. I'll protect you." The clown said. "He- he isn't my father, please don't let him hurt me!" Enola finally cracked, she started to cry into the clowns shoulder, clutching onto him tightly.
"Ssh, it's alright... I won't let him hurt you." He started rubbing circles on her back. "Hey! I'm right here you know! Also I'm the one with a gun." The man had pulled out a gun again, pointing it at the clown this time, only thing is that he didn't even get to pull the trigger before somebody had already shot him in the head.
Enola flinched at the gun shot, burying her head further into the shoulder of the clown. The man had pulled out his phone while he still rubbed circles into Enola's back with his other hand, dialing somebody's number. Once the person on the other end picked up the man explained what happened, asking for the other person to pick them up, causing Enola to freeze.
"W-wait! Please do-don't take me back to my mother! I-im begging you!" Enola was terrified of being taken back to her mother, eyes widening as she looked up at the man. "Ssh, don't worry, I won't take you back to your mother, alright? If that's what you want then I respect that." The person on the other end of the line asked what happened, getting a quick explanation from the man.
The man hung up, putting his phone away again. "Somebody will be here in around... two minutes, we'll just take you to a safe place to stay for atleast the night, we'll talk about your living situation tommorow, alright?" Enola merely nodded, Satan was she tired.
After a little waiting a portal opened next to them, a demon stepping through- wait, was that Asmodeus? Wait, if that's Asmodeus... then the clown must be Fizarollie, meaning... wait, who had shot the man with the gun in the head? Nevermind, she was sure she didn't even wanna know.
"Fiz, and who's this little thing? You look adorable!" Asmodeus crouched down, getting down to Enola's height. "I'm Enola, sir." She had muttered the sir part, unsure on how the sin would react to being called that. "You don't have to call me sir, Enola, come, let's get you somewhere warm."
Asmodeus took her from Fizarollie's arms, walking through the portal again, Fizarollie following closely after. They were now in a spacious living room, furniture in a pink color with green and blue tints. Asmodeus took her to a neighboring room, wich seemed like a sleeping room, putting Enola down on the bed. "Sleep, little one." He gently tucked her in, patting her on the head before leaving.
Back to the present shall we?
"And that's it." Enola smiled sheepishly, rubbing the back of her neck. She had noticed some concerned faces when she told the story, and sure, she took out the more... gory details so it was tuned down, but she hadn't expected the princess to beam at the mention of Asmodeus.
"You met Asmodeus?! Oh thats so cool! I've met him myself to on multiple occasions but still! I assume you stayed with them for a while?" Charlie said with a bright smile on her face, though Enola couldn't really read Alastor's or Vaggies expression.
"I did, once they found out how old I was and what situation I was in they took me in and cared for me like one of their own. Though I only stayed for a year, when I was ten I snuck out and moved to the greed ring for personal reasons, I left a letter explaining where I went and why. Until a few days ago I lived there." Enola smiled a little.
"What? Why? Please tell me!" "Sorry Charlie, like I said, it's personal." Charlie pouted while Vaggie send Enola... was that an empathetic look, oh hell no. She didn't want fucking empathy, she had survived on the streets of the greed ring for eight hears after all.
"That was an... interesting story, may i know who did it?" Alastor spoke up. "Already dead, got shot in the head by somebody once he pulled out the gun and aimed it at fiz." Alastor blinked at that, nodding.
"Woah, hold up. You called Fizarollie Fiz just now, since when did you get that privilege?" Angle dust cut in, arms crossed. "I used to call him something diffrent, but I was only allowed to call him that in private settings, also, I got that privilege when I started living with them."
"Wait, wait, wait, what was Asmodeus like? I mean I've met him multiple times, but that was during business meeting that dad attended and I wanted to go to aswel, how did he act?" Charlie chimed in, eyes filled with curiosity. "He acted like a mother hen, if I even hinted at being hurt he started getting all protective, freaked out during my first period to." Enola chuckled a little.
"Mother hen huh? Interesting way to descrive a sin." Vaggie said, one of her eyebrows raised. "What? It's the truth, he became a literal mother hen if i was hurt, no joke. He's protective." Enola said, putting her hands up. "Oke, let's back track a little, you said you called Fizzarollie something diffrent then Fiz, what did you call him?" Angel dust asked, some type of glint in his eyes she couldn't decipher.
"If is say it either Asmodeus shows up and starts crying happy tears, or Fizz will find out and track me down somehow... never mind it's probably both." "Wow, that bad huh?" Enola snorted, shaking her head. "It's not bad, it's just personal, something only a family member gets to call the-" "They consider you family?!" Charlie cut Enola off, a bright smile on her lips. "Aaaw, that's so cute! I hope they visit sometime!" Enola franticly shook her head, sinking down her chair. "Bad idea, bad idea, bad idea! As soon as i invite either one of them over they'll come here immediately and i am not mentally prepared to see them."
"To late, Charlie is already gone to write them an official invatation." Vaggie said, looking at the door Charlie left through within what seemed like a mili second. "Then count me out, i'll be in my room the entire-" "Not an option, all hotel staff needs to be around when it's an official invitation." Alastor cut in,that creepy smile off his on his face. Enola muttered some stuff, sitting up straight again. "Well, then i think i should go to my room and wait for impending doom, call me down when they arive?"
Enola had stood up, looking at Vaggie. "Will do, just go and do your thing." Enola nodded, walking out of the dinning hall and going towards her room, her mind wandering off to the little folded paper in her pocket. She wondered what was on it and what her father Vox wanted from her. Once she got to her room she closed and locked the door behind her again, taking a deep breath as she pulled out the paper.
It read: call me when you're alone, i wanna talk to you. - Vox With his number underneath. Enola took out her phone (Wich she had stolen a week ago) and typed in his number, naming it TV head. She pressed call, waiting for Vox to pick up. Once he did she patiently waited for him to say anything, hopefull he had recognized her. "Who are you and what do you want?" Ah, right should have started of with introducing herself. "Oh, uhm it's Enola, you wanted to talk to me?" "Took you long enough to respond! Anyway, you seemed familiar so i did some digging and i found nothing on you, only some stuff about being caught stealing when you were younger. Who are you exactly?"
"Well, i'm Enola, never knew my father and i uhm, lived in the lust and greed rings most of my life, i just reacently arived in the pride ring actually-" "Yeah, yeah. Who was your mother?" Vox cut her off, sounding annoyed. "Well, uhm... i don't remember my mothers name, i ran away when i was eight and a half so i barely remember her." Vox stayed silent before hanging up. "Oooke, that was weird."
Enola sat down on bed, looking at the wall. All that was left to do was wait for Asmodeus and Fizzarollie to come to the hotel, and she'd rather prepare herself mentally in her own room then around others, so that's what she did, countless scenarios running through her head.

Enola sat up at the knock on her door, expecting Vaggie or Husk to get to come down. What she didn't expect however, was to be greeted by Fizzarollie, who immediately pulled her into a tight hug.
"Oh I'm so happy to see you again! We get why you left, but it still hurt, the though you were out there somewhere all on your own." He sounded like he was about to cry, his voice cracking up a bit. "Calm down, I'm fine now, aren't I? I'm safe and sound." Enola said, hugging fiz back. "And it's good to see you again to, fiz."
"Fiz? Haven't heard that one in a while, why not dad?" Somebody behind fiz said, Enola immediately realizing it was Asmodeus. "Oz!" Fiz had let her go, freeing Enola to hug Asmodeus. "Oh its been so long since I've seen both of you!"
"Holding up I hope? Wouldn't want Oz to go mother hen." Fiz teased, a playfull grin on his lips. "Oh dear Satan... did Charlie tell you about that? It is true, no denying it." She said, a pointed look in Asmodeus' direction causing him to chuckle. "She did, and I guess i was a bit of a mother hen at the time."
"Stil is, tried to kill a lawyer because I was in danger." "Wait, what? You were in danger? What happened? You alright now? No permanent damage?" Enola had peeled herself from the hug, a slight frown on her face when fiz said that. "Seems like you take after him to, and don't worry, I'm fine now."
Enola visibly relaxed at that, letting out a breath she didn't even know she was holding. "Good to hear. How's life been treating you guys since I left?" "Alright, made up with an old friend. Quit working for Mammon, oh and most importantly mine and Asmodues's relationship is public now."
"Wow, I really am behind. How'd that happen? Somebody leaked something or yall do it on your own? Cuz I gotta say, it was time." Asmodeus chuckled at that. "Was a kinda in the heat of the moment thing, but we've embraced it." Enola nodded, happy her friends her adoptive fathers are happy. "Let's go down stairs, Charlie's probably bouncing of the walls with inpatients at the moment." "Fair enough, let's go!" Fiz said, half dragging Enola along as Asmodeus followed.
Once they got downstairs they were greeted with the rest of the group, an excited Charlie immediately asking questions. "Can you tell us what you used to call them now? Or is that still private?" Dear Satan, she forgot she mentioned that. "Depends, if those two are comfortable with it." The motioned to Fiz and Asmodeus who shared a glance.
"We're fine with it. But then we get to call you Nola again." "Deal. I used to call Fiz dad and Asmodeus papa. They adopted me at some point when I was staying with them." Alastor froze at that, glancing between the two demons, a glint Enola wasn't able to identify in his eyes.
"Pleasure to meet the people who helped dear Enola, the name's Alastor!" He held out a hand for either of them to shake, smilling as ever. "Pleasure to meet you to, I've hear quite alot about your broadcasts, their... interesting to say the least." "Thank you! I pride myself in them quite alot!"
Fiz seemed creeped out as he pulled back his hand, glancing at Enola for help who merely shrugged, for all she knew this was normal behavior from the radio demon. "I'm Angel dust! I'm a big fan of what you do, Fizzarollie."
"Hm? Oh, I've heard of you! Famous porn star, right? Can't say I've seen one of your films but I have heard great things. Who was your director again?" "Valentino, dad, his boss is Valentino." Enola cut in, smilling a little.
"How do you know that? I never told you, and last I knew you didn't even know who I am." Shit, she forgot about that. "I- uuhm, I'm just gonna keep quiet, I've said something I didn't wanna say." Fiz chuckled, patting her on the head.
"What I hear Valentino ain't the best boss, how he treating you?" Fiz directed the discussion back to the original topic. "He's... alright, could be better but we're kinda in hell, so yeah" "I call bullshit!" Husk called from the bar. "What do you mean with that?" Asmodues asks, brows furrowing a little. "Well, uhm, he's a little... rough, he's a no bullshit type of guys, if you don't follow the rules you ofcourse get consuquences." "With consuquences he means literally beating up his employees, and the actors aren't treated the best either, i've seen some of the bruises."
Husk said again, this time having joined them. "All over his body, they get covered up during filming." "Huh... Angel dust, could we talk in private?" Asmodeus asked, a serious look on his face. "U-uhm ofcourse!" The two of them walked of to another side of the room, seemingly starting a serious discussion. "Hope that goes well, welp, that's not our problem anymore." Enola said, looking at the sin and demon talking. "I hope Valentino gets what he deserves, i don't wish him to die but atleast be fired as boss atleast. I've seen poor Angel after particular long shifts, facker needed multiple of my strongest shots."
"First of all, Enola, how did you know who his boss was? Second off all, how high even is his alcohol tolerance?" Fiz cut in again, brows raised. "Not telling, let a woman have her secrets, also it aint that hard to find out. The golden tooth? Valentino has it to and something about him just screamed Valentino, no sure why." She said, shrugging. "I have no clue how high his tolerance, but it for sure as hell aint low. He let's people spike his drink on purpose." At that Enola raised an eyebrow. Angel lets his drinks get spiked on purpose? That can't be save or healthy. "How do you even know that? I don't think its something you would tell somebody with your own free will."
Husk shrugged, crossing his arms. "I was told to follow him after i accidentally upset him, found him at a bar and saw some asshole spikking his drink, he was gonna drink it if i hand't intervened. He even said he let people do it all the time, let himself forget everything after a bad day and hoped that he ruined himself enough to not be Valentino's favourite play thing." "What do you mean favourite play thing husk?" Enola seemed shocked. "Valentino clings to him like his life depends on it, won't let poor Angel dust get a propper break from work."
"There's no way that's healthy, right dad?" Enola turned to fiz, who was frowning. "That indeed isn't healthy. I was also in a situation like that, but with Mammon, i quit because i saw that the releationship i had with him was just outright toxic, but it took me a good ten years to realize. If Angel dust has a similar situation as me then it would take a litteral slap to the face and forcing him to face the reality of things to make him realize that his work envirenment is just toxic." Fiz was frowning a little, seemingly deep in thought. "I'll talk to Oz about taking over Valentino's studio, getting him fired, but i'm not sure if we'll be able to do it."
Husk nodded, turning around to walk back to the bar, he has had his dose of talking to people for the day. Angel dust and Asmodeus walked back over, Angel seeming a little more relaxed then he did when he originally looked. "I'll join husk, you guys catch up or something." He walked to the bar, leaving the three of them somewhat alone, seeing that the other residents were still talking with eachother. "It's a pleasure to meet the people who Enola speaks so highly of. I'd like to get to know you better."
Alastor had walked over, that creepy smile of his on his face. Fizarollie seemed creeped out by Alastor's smile, glancing at Asmodeus who also was slightly creeped out by Alastor's unfalatering smile. "Pleasure is mine, Alastor. Is there anything you wanted to discuss? You seem... on edge." "Ah, yes, that. Don't worry, i would never hurt Enola, it's just that a certain-"
Alastor got cut of when Enola's phone rang, Enola hurridly took it out, excusin herself to answer it, promising to tell them who it was after. "Hello?"
"Yes, hello, Vox here. Let's get this over with, when is the quickest we can meet face to face?" Enola raised one of her eyebrows, "oh? And why do you wanna meet? But i should be free tommorow, so any time then would be alright."
"Great, come to the vees tower at 11AM, just tell the secretary who you are and that you want to see me, we'll discus why i want to meet you once you've arived." "Alright-" Enola was cut of unable to finnish because Vox had already hung up. "Okee..."
Once Enola was back with the others she smiled a little, saying an old friend had called her, not saying any names, though she was sure dad and papa understood, and stars did it feel weird calling them that again.
"Going back to what i was saying, i was just bit on edge because somebody i don't particulary like came to the hotel asking for Enola, i stil don't know what he wanted from her, she hasn't told any of us." Alastor said, eyes glued to Enola. "Just wanted to ask who i was, nothing more. Apparently i really intrueged him." Enola explained, an akward smile on her lips.
"Ah, alright." Alastor nodded, turning back to oz- no, dad and papa. "Well, that's good to know, let's just hope he won't bother you anymore." "And if he does just cal us, our numbers haven't changed and i'm sure you still know them." Dad said, an arm around Enola's shoulder. "I know, i'll add you guys to my contacts when i get the chance."
The day continues on, dad and papa leaving around 12pm after giving Enola a hug and saying they'd call. Enola had promised she would take care of herself, waving them off until they were out of sight. Charlie said it was time for a group excersice, gathering everybody at the lounge.
"Okey, today's excersice is telling something about our past from when you were still alive, Enola since you weren't alive since you were born in hell you can ofcourse just tell something from your past down here." Charlie smiled brightly, seeming like a human bouncing bal.
Angel started, telling something about the time he and his sister snuck out to go to a library and stayed there the whole night since they accidentily fel asleep while reading. The rest went aswell, Enola being last to share.
"Hm... there was this time where i snuck out when i stil lived with dad and papa," Charlie smiled at the names while Alastor's face flashed with disgust for a milisceond, "oh stop being weird about it, and decided that it would be a good idea to erm... i robbed a store. Let's just keep it with that."
Angel burst out laughing, Husk joining him shortly after. Alastor seemed somewhat proud. "Also, in defence, i was only living with them for like... a week, i wasn't used to the fact i could just ask them for something. I got scolded and they reasured me that i could just ask for stuff."
"Oke, but did you just rob places before they found you? Doesn't seem like a you move." Pentious asked. "I only robbed stores when it was absolutely nesecarry, like when i got my period, or when i was about to starve."
The group contineud to talk for a while, sharing laughs and telling story's about their past. After dinner they split up, Enola going up to her room to go to sleep. Let's just hope she doesn't have a night mare.

Chapter Text
Enola was shivering somewhere in an alleyway, she had runaway from Asmodeus and Fizarolie a week ago and had lost all her money and food she had.
She was desperate enough to do anything for food, a man having aproached her and telling her that if he would give her some food, though she would owe him a favor.
Enola had agreed, she was getting desperate.
She didn't know it then, but that was her worst mistake yet. The man had raped her, done whatever he wanted with her and left her on the ground once he was done.
Ofcourse he hadn't upheld his end of the deal, so here she was now, on the grouns, shivering, cold and hungry.
She scrambled to put on her clothes once she calmed down, hands trembling while doing so.
She had to do something, she'd die at this rate.
So she decided to rob a store for some food. She had walked in like normal, just casually taking a look around.
Enola had snatched a loaf of bread from the shelves, shoving it up her shirt when nobody was looking and walked around for a bit longer, deciding it was time to leave she walked out, nobody catching her.
That night she was sitting in a difrent alleyway, the loaf long gone. The same man as that morning aproached her again, this time a knife in hand. "You little brat, you stole food didn't you? I just know you did."
He pulled her up using the colar of her shirt, shoving her up against the wal, knife pressed against her throat. "I-i'm sorry- i- i didn't know-"
Enola choked on her words, tears streaming down her face.
"Ignorant brat, you're going to pay."
-
Enola shot up right, cheeks still damp from her tears. Was she hyperventilating? Shit, she needed to calm down. What time even was it? Double shit, its 10:30AM. She had to be at the vees tower in thirty minutes, she'd have to hurry.
Once Enola realized this she shot out of bed, quickly putting on some clothes and racing downstairs, waving at people she passed. She made a quick sandwich and told Charlie she'd be back in about two hours, unsure how long she would be talking to Vox.
She raced out the door, sprinting all the way to the tower, eating the sandwich on the way. Once she arived at the tower it was 10:55, she had made it in time. She walked in calmly, talking to the secretary who led her to Vox's ofice.
Enola knocked on the door. "It's open!" Vox called out form inside the office. Enola opened the door, walking in and closing it behind her. Vox motioned for her to sit down on the chair infront of his desk, a creepy smile on his... screen? Or was it his face?
Enola sat down, fidgeting with her fingers. "What did you want to talk about, sir?" Enola asked, nervous for some reason. She was sitting infront of her birth father after all.
"Correct. You mentioned to me you didn't know your father, correct? Well, i think i might just know who he is, if you wanna know ofcourse." Enola froze at his words. Had he figured out he was her father? But how- right, her mother.
"Yes sir, you are correct... Who do you think is my father?" She hesitantly asked, trying to find any type of emotion on Vox's face. "Wel, i think that..." He paused for a second, studying Enola. It felt like his eyes were boring into his soul.
"I'm, your father, unless i'm wrong, wich i rarely am." Enola blinked at his words. Well fack. Now what? Should she lie? Or should she confirm it? "I take it you need time to process?"
"Sir, where the fack did you get that idea?" Enola was baffeled. Look at it from her point of view, dear readers. The same man that had abondened her al those years ago and had left her to fend for herself all those years, only now cared wether or not he was her father? Sounds absurd doesn't it?
"We have the same build, eyes, skintone and i have a feeling you might just have powers you haven't anybody about. Oh and i called your mother, said you ran away at eight and a half was it? The description she gave me fits you perfectly." Vox smirked smugly, arms crossed.
Enola sighed, wishing to be able to just merge with the floor and go to double hell. But allas, she couldn't and would have to deal with her problems face on. "Fine, you're my father, happy?" Enola had crossed her arms aswell, wether it was a trauma response was unsure.
"Very." Vox grinned smugly, nodding. "Just what i wanted to hear. How about we make a deal."
Enola paused, raising an eyebrow at her father. "A deal? What type of deal?" She questioned, an eyebrow raised at him. She didn't like the sound of that, at all. A deal was constricting, and could very easily be twisted to fack somebody over.
"Oh, nothing much, just about you being my heir, incase I am to die in an extermination. You'll need to make public appearances, maybe have a stagename to fit the whole v thing I've got going on better. All that stuff." He said, gesturing to a contract already on his desk.
Enola looked at the contract, frowning. "Can I read it through?"
"Ofcourse, go right ahead."
Enola looked at Vox for a bit before picking up the contract, reading it through. It looked legit, no loopholes, nothing that could fack her over in the long run. The one thing that caught her attention, however, was a part about legal gardians.
"In the contract it says that any legal gardian I have must revoce this right to you. How so?"
Vox huffed, rolling his eyes. "It's so they can't claim my business, or interfere in the business of any of the other Vees. I don't need all of my hard work erased just because your legal gardian decided that it's better left in their hands."
Enola hummed, nodding. "If I'm gonna agree to the contract, that part needs to be removed." She said, putting said contract down. "I don't wish to leave you and my mother as my sole gardians."
Her father narrowed his eyes at her. "And, if I might ask, who would your other gardians be?"
"Oh, nothing special. Just the sin of lust and his partner." Enola said, guaging his reaction.
Vox seemed less then pleased at that. He scowled, his hands balling into fists ontop of the desk. "Asmodeus and Fizarolie? Them? The ones trying to shut down Valentino's business because Angel Dust snitched? Them?"
Enola smiled. So they'd gone ahead and done that. "Yup, those are the ones." She said, nodding.
"The deal is out the window. Get out of here, don't come back. If I ever see you in my teritory again, even your precious Asmodeus won't be able to save you." Vox said, a dangerous hint in his voice, causing Enola to pause.
She got up, turned around and walked out the door. Once she was out on the street again she didn't look back as she walked away, head held high. She didn't care she just made an enemy, Vox could suck it. She wouldn't give up her loving parents for a shitty one and power. She wasn't stupid.
Once she was back at the hotel Charlie rushed to her, grabbing her shoulders and physically checking her. "Are you alright? Vox just went live and declared you his daughter. He didn't do anything, right? If he did I'll show him a piece of my mind-"
"Charlie, please, calm down. I'm fine. I'm not hurt, Vox didn't do anything and I think my fathers are a mile ahead of you when it comes to the last part, trust me. Oz won't be happy." Enola said, a small smile on her lips.
Charlie let her hands drop back to her sides again, nodding as she pursed her lips. "If anything happens between you and Vox, you tell me, alright?"
Enola nodded. "Alright. Anyway, I better go and call Fiz of Oz before they come here." She said, already walking away and pulling out her phone to send the both of them a text saying she was fine. "I'll be in my room if you need anything!" She said before going up the stairs, heading towards her room.
Charlie might have said something, but Enola didn't catch it, seeing she was already out of earshot. The second she sent the text to Oz and Fiz one of them called her.
She picked up the phone, closing the door of her room behind her.
"Are you sure you're fine? I can always go and beat Vox up for you-" Oz got cut of as Fiz spoke up. "No, you can't beat him up. You can, however, hurry the fack up with taking over Valentino's business. But enough of that, we're focusing on Enola right now."
"Hello to you to." Enola said, chuckling a little as she sat down on her bed. "Anyway, I'm fine, I'm not hurt, and you don't have to beat anybody up, don't worry."
"Fine, but call me if I need to, you got it?" Oz said, which caused Fiz to sigh.
"I got it. Anyway, question, either of you hear from Lucifer lately? I know he's been cooped up in his office alot lately." Enola asked, hoping to change the topic away from what had happened with her.
"Still in there, but he's been calling me. He still wants to meet you, you know?"
"Ah- maybe when all the Vox stuff has blown over, I don't exactly feel like meeting the king of hell when a very powerful overlord hates me."
"If Vox hurts you, just call either of us. We're just one phone call away from beating him up for you." Fiz said, to which Oz agreed with a hum.
"Don't you dare hesitate to call us."
"I'll keep it in mind."
Just then somebody knocked on the door, causing Enola's head to snap in that direction. "Somebody's knocking on my door, talk to the both of you later." She hung up when they said bye, walking over to the door and opening it, finding Alastor infront of it.
"Would you mind if I came in?" He asked, that smile ever pressent on his face.
"Uh, no. Come on in." Enola said, stepping back to allow Alastor to step into her room. "Was there something you wanted to talk about, or..?"
Alastor hummed, nodding. "Ah, yes. I wanted to ask, what happened with Vox? It doesn't seem like him to just... announce you as his daughter."
Enola chuckled akwardly, rubbing the back of her neck. "Hah... that. So, the thing is, he wanted me to be his heir. But, for me to be his heir, Asmodeus and Fizarolie would need to give up their legal gardianship of me, and I wasn't willing to do that. He got mad and basically threatened to kill me."
The radio demon raised an eyebrow at her, head tilted to the side as he stayed quiet. "He should be happy that Charlie has forbidden me from killing people." He suddenly said, causing Enola to just look at him.
"Leave the killing to my parents." She said, shaking her head. What was it with people and wanting to kill Vox because he threatened her? And why would Alastor care? This was just absurd. "Anyway, anything else?"
"No, that was it. Have a great rest of your day." And with that Alastor melted into the shadows, leaving Enola alone in her room.
She stared at the shadows he'd dissapeared into, blinking before sighing and sitting down on her bed again. She needed a nap.

Chapter Text
It'd been a few weeks since the Vox fiasco, and Enola wasn't all to sure what to think. He hadn't tried to so anything to bad (his declaration had made it pretty hard for her to go out on her own if at all).
She'd mostly been chilling in the hotel, calling he adoptive fathers every once in a while to assure them nothing had happened to her. It was... nice, in a weird way. That was, atleast, until Vox and Alastor got into another little debacle.
Enola wasn't sure why, or how, but her name had been dropped a few times during the fight. She didn't really wanna know. So, here she was, watching with the others from the hotel tv as Alastor and Vox fought.
"Why do I feel like they're gonna tear eachoter apart?" Angel questioned, an eyebrow raised.
Husk huffed. "They are." He said, taking a swig from his drink.
Enola's frown deepened. "That... can't be good. I know they can't die because of it, but it would still hurt, right?" She questioned, fiddling with the edge of her sleeves.
"Oh it hurts like a bitch, toots. Don't you worry about that. But I'm sure Al won't let it come to that." Angel said, waving his hand in the air.
Enola sighed, nodding. "Alright, alright. I won't worry... to much." She'd never admit it, but she'd grown to like Alastor, just a little. She'd even say she would kill for him, but that isn't anything new. To her, killing to protect is the most natural thing she could do.
Just then she was snapped out her train of thought, a crashing sound being heard in the direction of the kitchen. "Was that Alastor?" She questioned, glancing back at the tv to see Alastor missing. Yup, that was him.
"Seems like it." Husk said, sighing. "I wouldn't advice going near him, though. He's usually pissy about loosing fights."
"He didn't loose, though. That was a tactical retreat." Enola retorted, already on her feet to head towards the kitchen.
Husk muttered something under his breath, Enola hearing the words your and funeral. Yeah, she didn't die that easily.
She stuck her head around the corner first, to make sure he wouldn't just lash out and hurt her before stepping inside. "Hey, Al." She muttered, stopping a few feet away from him.
Alastor looked up at her, eyes narrowed. "What?" He hissed, his teeth grit with his usual smile on his face.
"Just wanted to make sure you were fine. Vox can be a bit of a... bitch, when he wants to be." Enola said, an akward smile on her lips.
"Why would you care? You're his daughter. I wouldn't be surpised if you hated me." He retorted, claws digging into the kitchen counter.
Enola paused. "Let's ease up on the counter, yeah? It didn't do anything. And I care because you're my friend. Friends don't let other friends suffer. So, do you want me to go, or can I stay?" She questioned.
The radio demon paused, studying her before letting go of the kitchen counter. "You can stay." He finally said.
"In silence, or do you want me to just talk about my experience with the hotel so far?" She questioned, already sitting on the counter, still with a comfortable distance between the two.
"Silence would be mostly appreciated."
"Alrighty."
And just like that the two sat in silence for a good hour before Vaggie burst into the room, talking about Lucifer visiting in an hour, and Enola and Alastor needing to fix some of the broken lights.
"Uuh... oke?" Enola said, a little unsure as to what Vaggie was ranting on about.
"Great. Be in the lobby at four max." And just like that Vaggie was gone, most likely preparing for Lucifer's arival.
Enola and Alastor looked at eachother before sighing. "Let's get this over with." Alastor muttered, already heading towards the lights that needed fixing, Enola trailing after him.
This was... gonna take a while.
As the two worked in silence, Enola being the one to mainly fix the lightbulbs using her powers, it almost felt peaceful. Up to a degree. It was weird. She was working with the enemy of her biological father, who she hated, to fix lightbulbs of all things.
The irony of it all almost made Enola laugh.
"So, how are you holding up after your little debacle with mister tv for a face?" She questioned, fixing yet another damaged lightbulb.
Alastor paused for a second, raising an eyebrow at her question. "Why do you ask?"
Enola shrugged, climbing down the ladder. "Because I wanna know how you're holding up? Is it a crime to ask?"
The sinner huffed. "It's not, but I was wondering wether or not there were ulterior motives, dear. But I am holding up just fine. That savage can't hurt me that easily." He said, his smile turning a little more sinister than usual.
"If you say so." Enola said, fixing the last lightbulb. "And that should be the last one." She turned back to Alastor, dusting off her hands.
"Then lets go to the others. I'm sure they're waiting." And with that they headed for the lobby,
They were late. A minute late, but late. Thankfully, Lucifer was also late, so it didn't really matter.
The second Enola and Alastor joined the others the bell rang, Charlie rushing to open the door.
From what Enola could gather, this was gonna be a disaster. On legs, that could become a whirlwind of emotions and other stuff.
After a few minutes Charlie lead Lucifer into the lobby, beginning to introduce the others.
"Oke, so our residents are Angel Dust and Sir Pentious, our bartender is Husk, Vaggie is security and my girlfriend, Alastor is the accountant, Nifty is the maid and Enola is the receptionist." Charlie said.
When Lucifer's eyes landed on Enola he paused for a second. "Enola as in Ozzie's and Fizarolie's kid?" He questioned.
"That'd be me, yes. Pleasure to meet you, sir." Enola said, bowing her head a little before straightening her back again.
"No need for the pleasantries, kid. Nice to finally meet you." Lucifer said, waving his hand dismisivly.
Enola simply smiled, a little akwardly though. This was... new. Sure, she had a sin as her adoptive father, but the king of hell? That was a whole different level.
Charlie cleared her throat. "Well, how about a tour?" She offered, nervously wringing her hands together as she smiled.
"Now, hold up dear." Alastor said, his tone laced with a sickenly sweet edge. It creeped Enola out.
Charlie paused, raising an eyebrow at Alastor's words. "What's up?" She questioned.
"Why not do a, as you call it, introduction cirlce. I'm sure it'd not only help your father understand the hotel better, but give him a view of how it goes." The radio demon offered, his head tilted to the side a little, his smile much more sinister than usual.
The princess thought about it, before smilling brightly. "Sounds like a great idea! Everybody, gather around and form a circle please!" She said, making motions with her hands for everybody to come closer.
They all formed a circle, Enola next to Lucifer and Alastor, who seemed to be glaring at eachother. She probably should have stood somewhere else.
"Oke, so I'll start. I'm Charlie Morningstar, I'm the owner of this hotel and I want to redeem as many sinners as posible." She said, smilling brightly.
The next in line was Vaggie. "I'm Vaggie, Charlie's girlfriend and I'm head of security. I just want to protect the people I care about."
It kept going like this until they reached Lucifer. "Well, as most of you know I'm Lucifer Morningstar, king of hell and I..." he paused, frowning a little. "I just want to make sure Charlie is happy." He mumbled.
Enola smiled a little at that. "I must say, that's admirable." She said.
Lucifer hummed. "Thank you. I can see why Oz and Fizarolie like you so much."
She smiled. "Well, I'm Enola, I'm the receptionist and I guess I want to help rehabilitate sinners."
Alastor was up next. "I'm Alastor, as mentioned I'm the accountant and I suppose I would like to see this hotel flourish."
Charlie nodded, clapping her hands. "Now, time for the tour! Me and Vaggie will show my father around. We should be back in half an hour for dinner." She said, glancing at Alastor as if asking him to make sure nobody did anythign stupid.
"Ofcourse." Alastor said, nodding.
With that Charlie, Vaggie and Lucifer dissapeared down the halls of the hotel.
Enola sighed, running a hand down her face. "How much that's gonna turn into a disaster?" She questioned, already sounding tired.
"I betcha ten bucks, toots." Angel Dust said, grinning a little.
Husk huffed, shaking his head. "You two need to give them some credit. Twenty bucks says something's gonna get broken."
The group continued to chat for the remainder of time until Charlie, Vaggie and Lucifer returned.
"Wait, what are we even having for dinner?" Enola questioned, looking at Angel Dust, seeing it had been his turn to cook.
"Traditional Italian dish, don't worry about it. And yes, there are vegeterian portions just in case anybody wants 'em."
"Ooh, I love it when you cook Italian!" Nifty said, grinning widely.
Angel Dust smiled. "Ofcourse, toots. I enjoy it too. Now, anybody know when the others are gonna get back? The food's as good as done."
Enola paused, frowning. "No clue, but they should be back soon, I think." She said, shrugging.
The current seating situation was Enola and Nifty on one of the couches, Angle Dust mostly being in the kitchen kinda just popped in and out of the conversation, Husk was on one of the arm chairs, Alastor was standing by the armrest Enola was basically laying against and Sir Pentious was on another of the arm chairs, some of his egg boys with him.
It was almost domestic for a bunch of sinners and a hellborn, like a big, happy family.
Just then Charlie, Vaggie and Lucifer returned, talking about something.
"Took ya' long enough! Dinner's ready, so let's go to the kitchen and eat." Angel Dust said before dissapearing into the kitchen, Sir Pentious and Husk already following behind him.
Nifty took a little longer, but was the third to follow. Enola sat up, stretching before getting up, glancing at Alastor, who made a motion for her to go first. She hummed, beginning to head for the kitchen before pausing, noticing how the other three were lingering.
"You go ahead, Al. Tell the others to not wait up." She said, head tilted to the side.
Alastor looked from her to Charlie, Vaggie and Lucifer, pausing before humming. "If you say so." And with that he dissapeared into the kitchen.
"Enola, we're fine, don't worry about us." Charlie said, smilling weakly.
The hellborn sighed, seeming dissapointed. "Don't take this as any form of disrespect, but you don't look fine too me. Sit down, we aren't leaving this room until it's talked out." She said, motioning to the couch and armchairs.
Lucifer shrugged, sitting down on one of the armchairs. Vaggie hesitated before sitting down on the couch, Charlie sitting down besides her. Enola sat in the last remaining armchair, one leg over the other.
"Spill, what happened."
"Well, nothing really did. It just... didn't go as expected." Charlie mumbled, seeming hesitant.
Lucifer raised an eyebrow at that. "Like I've said, I don't want you to crushed by them, like I was-"
He got cut off as Charlie spoke up again. "And I get that, but I've grown up! I'm not some little kid anymore! You were the one who taught me dreams were worth fighting for, and then you don't want me to fight for the people I care about?!"
"Charlie, deep breath." Vaggie reminded, lightly squeezing her partner's hand.
Charlie took a deep breath, sagging against Vaggie. "It isn't fair." She mumbled.
"Oke, so that's the problem. Got it. Now how to fix it. I'd say talk it out, but that isn't working. A third point of view might help?" Enola offered, raising an eyebrow.
Charlie perked up at that, eyes twinkling. "Could you do it?" She asked, seemingly brightening up.
"Whoa, back the fuck up, I wasn't saying I could-" Enola started, getting cut op by Lucifer.
"You'd bring a great new view on this, I agree with Charlie. If Ozzie trusts you, I trust you, kid." He said, raising an eyebrow at her.
She paused. "Don't make it an order."
"It's an order."
Well fack. "Fine. But it's gonna be the plain hard truth, for both of you. I agree with Charlie, that yes, you shouldn't just give up on your dreams and do all you can for the people you care about. But Lucifer also has a point, heaven is not to be messed with. They're powerful, more powerful than we most likely are. We can't take them in a fight, not in a fair one anyway. A diplomatic meeting won't end up doing anything, if Adam has anything to say about it. He'll block your path every Satan damned step of the way. But, with the right support and loopholes, we could make it work." Enola said.
She hadn't wanted to be this involved, but she was now.
The other three stayed silent for a bit, most likely thinking over her words and letting the weight of them sit in. The silence was heavy, Enola would bet the very little money she had that the tension could be cut with a knife.
Vaggie was the one who broke the silence. "How do you know about Adam?"
"Oh, I heard stories from Oz." She said, shrugging.
Vaggie nodded, pursing her lips.
"Well, looks like we've come to an agreement, then. We'll try the diplomatic approach, and if that doesn't work... we hope they don't choose violence." Lucifer said after a few more minutes of silence.
"Good. Now, dinner! I'm sure we're all starving, and Angel made a traditionally Italian dish. Come on." Enola said, getting up from her armchair and heading for the kitchen.
Maybe there was hope for all of this, after all.
