Chapter 1: Baking
Chapter Text
Adam woke up alone in bed again, as per usual in the Firstman household. He was never an early riser like his wife was, even when he was actually alive. He wasn’t worried though, as he knew that Lute was out on one of her morning runs with some of her old exorcist friends. Although she didn’t need to anymore, Lute kept up with the same fitness regimens she had been doing for centuries for before she retired. With her Type A personality, she simply had to stick with some form of routine and keep herself in peak condition at all times.
Adam on the other hand left behind the exorcist exercises decades ago, but especially since retirement, which was blatantly clear to anyone who even got a glimpse of him nowadays. After all, you don’t just get up to 600 pounds by running regularly. Instead, Adam was much more comfortable with being a lazy couch potato and loyal feedee to his feeder wife. In fact, the only exercise Adam ever really got anymore was going back and forth from the kitchen and of course, from fucking his insanely hot wife. Thank god Lute was fit and flexible, as even that would be difficult at his current size. It’s quite difficult to move around that much weight, let alone trying to thrust it into someone for pleasure.
He stretched while laying down for a moment before getting up for the day, his lower joints cracking loudly, as well as the ones in his deformed wings. He slowly stretched out his injured wing as far as he could, but even then, it would only open up about half way. He felt a sharp pain and yelped at it before returning it to its normal resting position and pulling his big body out of the bed. Wearing just his boxers and sleep shorts, he slowly waddled from their bedroom to their living room and plopped his fat ass into his wide and reinforced recliner to wait his wife’s return. It was almost 10 am and he knew she’d be back soon. He pulled out his phone and scrolled around for about 20 minutes until he heard the front door open.
The fat first man rose to greet his wife at the door, only to find her entering their home with a dozen of donuts and two coffees. His excited smile turned into a devious smirk upon seeing her in this state. “I didn’t think we were doing this again this early in the morning, but hey, beggars can’t be choosers!”
“I have my reasons, but I want to talk to you for a bit before you dig in, big boy,” she said, setting the treats on the counter and handing him his coffee. Even after all their years together, he still loved when Lute called him that. “Let’s sit for a minute and go over something.”
Adam nodded and slowly sat down on the kitchen island stool. He had zero clue as to what she wanted to talk about, but sipped at his coffee as she sat across from him and grabbed his free hand to hold it. “What’s up, babe? What do you need to talk to me about?”
“It’s nothing bad or anything… Just something I’ve been thinking about…” Lute started, swiping her hair out of her face.
“Well, what is it? You know you can talk to me about anything anytime.” He gave her a comforting smile, his chubby cheeks puffing out and making Lute smile too.
“Adam, I know you’ve had one in the past… but… I haven’t… and I really, really want one… I want a family of our own… one with you…”
“What do you mean? Like us… having kids together?”
“Yes, Adam… I want to have a baby with you… I understand if you don’t-“
“Absolutely! I’d love that!” He said with a goofy smile and standing from his chair coming closer to her.
“R-Really? You’re ok with that idea?” She asked, amazed at his excitement. She was sure he would’ve hated this proposal.
“Why wouldn’t I be? Babe, I’m literally programmed to crave procreation. You know, the whole ‘Be Fruitful and Multiply’ thing? That’s kind of in my DNA!” he pulled her into a hug, his thick arms wrapping around her slim waist. “I was hoping to be a dad again, but I never brought it up because I didn’t think you’d ever want kids.”
“So I’m not making this up? You actually want to have a child with me?” She asked, still needing some additional reassurance.
“Lute, I would love to have a baby with you. You’re my wife, my third and final, and I would love to build a family of our own together.” He lifted her chin and kissed her sweetly, her petite hands gravitating towards his soft belly that stood between them. “Plus, I’m definitely looking forward to making a baby with you.”
“You shithead!” She said with a playful slap to his soft chest. “I mean I am too, but thank you for this. I was so worried about this. It’s been on my mind for a while now.”
“I feel bad I caused you to be upset, but seriously, don’t worry about it ever again! Im always up to use my dick to make my girl happy!”
“Of course you are,” she said, rolling her eyes and grabbing the box of donuts and then switching to a sexier tone. “Good thing I came prepared. Ready to get started? I’ll give you breakfast in bed to make it worth your while!”
“Oh fuck yes!” He said, eagerly lifting her up bridal style and walking to the bedroom. “I’m so fucking ready to fuck a baby into you.”
“Holy shit I didn’t think you’d be into this that much!” She said as he shut the door with his foot and placed her on the bed.
“I was made for this, my Apple,” he husked into her ear. “And I am so fucking excited to fuck a baby into you and make you a Mama. Just lean back and let me work my magic and rock your world.” There was the fire in his golden eyes that she fell in love with! He pulled her into a kiss and the couple began to make their love truly tangible.
After several weeks of trying, the couple got the news they were hoping for: Lute was pregnant. Both were more than a little excited that they were expecting, especially Adam. When the test came back positive, he scooped her up in his arms and spun her around in joy, both of his wings fluttering in excitement, even the damaged one. He showered Lute in appreciative kisses, and vowed to be the most supportive husband possible during her pregnancy. He really was super happy to be a dad again, having dreamt for a long time what it would be like for them to have a baby together. This baby would obviously be a heaven born angel instead of the purely human ones he had with Eve, but he was just happy that they’d soon hear the joyful sounds of little feet prancing around their home.
Surprisingly, Adam kept to his promises and really was a great help for Lute during this time. He held her hair while dealing with the vomiting from morning sickness, made her tea, gave her massages (usually also an excuse to feel up her swollen chest or rear), accompanied her to any medical appointments, and was just generally a very supportive husband. He’d check on her several times a day, just to make sure she was feeling ok. He never let her lift a finger around the house anymore either, insisting that she was doing enough work by “cooking” their kid. Lute still helped clean up his messes and helped him with things that he simply couldn’t do due to his size, but other than that, he had let her take it easy throughout the first few months of her pregnancy, a gesture she truly appreciated.
He was also extremely proud of the fact that they were having a baby, bragging about it to all of his friends and their former coworkers. She figured part of that was to stroke his own ego about still being able to knock up a woman millennia after the last time, but mostly he was just generally super excited about the prospect of being a dad again. It could have been that only one of his three sons was in heaven (the other two had long since vanquished in hell in exterminations centuries ago), and that Seth never talked to him anymore, or it could’ve been the fact that he was genuinely happy to have created life with the first woman he actually, fully loved. He had admitted to her years ago that he never really loved Eve, just tolerated her for God’s sake and to toe the line after the banishment from Eden. But now, the true love of his life was carrying his spawn, the first spawn of his made from actual love itself, and that he was more excited than ever to share their creation with the world.
When Lute began showing, Adam had another unexpected change. He was always a clingy guy, but as soon as her baby bump was visible, he practically couldn’t keep his hands off of her. In public, he would always have her hand in his own at any given moment, hugging her too if given the chance. He’d even lovingly pat her stomach if they saw a familiar face from time to time. But in the privacy of their suite, Adam was practically attached to her hip. He was always by her side, never letting her do more than go to the bathroom by herself. It annoyed her at times, but she knew he was just showing his love for their growing family. She did find it very sweet when he’d hold her baby bump when they were relaxing or “protecting” it when they slept.
Much like any father would, Adam had also packed on some sympathy weight throughout her pregnancy. She wasn’t exactly sure how much he had gained, but she loved that even his 8XL shirts were growing snug around his belly and that he had to loosen his belt a notch or two. Lute certainly loved this change in him! She always felt that the bigger he was, the better, finding his weight gain sexy as hell with her raging hormones. Adam of course loved that she was feeling rather frisky recently, but he also was super gentle with Lute in this state. He specifically researched positions that would be the best for both of them as Lute’s stomach swelled as to not hurt her or the baby.
Finally the day came for the couple to learn what gender the baby was. Adam was for sure certain that it would be another boy. He made strong, hearty boys that would lead the next generation of heaven born angels just like he did on earth. He didn’t even entertain the possibility of Lute carrying a girl. She didn’t care either way, but thought it was so funny to brag to others that he was having another boy.
When the doctor showed that the little baby on the sonogram was in fact a little girl, Adam’s jaw practically dropped in shock. Him? Having a daughter? Lute and him were having a daughter? He was in disbelief. He was speechless for most of the day after that announcement, causing Lute to worry.
When they had a moment alone in their suite again, she asked what the silence was about.
“Adam, what’s wrong? Why are you acting like this?” She said, almost interrogating him. “You were so fucking happy earlier and now you’re acting like you got hit by a truck. What gives?”
He sighed, flopping down on the couch, causing a loud creak from the pressure of his immense weight. “I’m not upset… it’s just… strange to me? You know? I-I never had a girl before… I’m afraid…”
“What do you have to be afraid of? You wrangled and controlled an army of women for over 1000 years. What has you so worked up about one that shares your blood?” Lute slowly sat on the opposite side of the couch, holding her stomach to help with the feeling of being top-heavy.
“I-I don’t know… I guess I’m just afraid that I’ll… fuck her up some how, you know? There’s a reason a lot of chicks have daddy issues. I don’t want to be the cause of that for her…”
She lifted up his first chin and leaned into his soft bulk below, mindful of her round belly. “Adam, you will not fuck up our daughter. You’ve been pampering me like a queen for the past 5 months. You’ve actually been as much of a gentleman as you can be throughout this whole thing and I know you’ll be just as wonderful of a dad to a little girl as you would for a boy.”
“You think so?” He asked, his eyes starting to tear up from worry.
“I know so,” she said, lifting her shirt up and placing his large hand on her baby bump. “And she does too.” Within moments, the baby beneath kicked at his hand, causing the father-to-be to smile. Maybe he could do this. Maybe he could be a “girl dad” as so many of heaven’s newcomers called it.
He pulled Lute closer to him, letting her straddle his chest as he attempted to speak to his unborn daughter.
“Hi there, little girl… this is your dad… we don’t know each other very much yet, but I’m excited to have you in our lives soon.” Lute smiled down at his sweet gesture, feeling the tiny pressures that the baby made in her womb at the sound of her father’s voice. “I’m a bit scared to be honest. I’ve never taken care of a little girl before… but, I’m looking forward to many daddy daughter moments in the future.”
He looked up at his wife, admiring that she truly had the pregnancy glow to her at this point. She was absolutely stunning to the first man, far prettier than his second wife ever was when she was carrying his sons. “I hope you take after your mama more than you do me,” he continued with a smirk. “Sorry if you inherit your dad’s ugly mug or my body type, but even if you do, I’ll love you the same. I’ll always love you, my little Apple Dumpling.”
Lute looked down with a smile and an arched brow as she settled into a position to look him in the eye. “Apple Dumpling? Where the hell did you come up with that one?”
“Well, you’re Adam’s Apple. And our baby inside you has been baked in your oven. Therefore, our daughter is our Adam’s Apple Dumpling!” He said this with a cheeky dumb grin, acting like his usual goofy self.
“That’s adorable, but I think you’re just hungry for dessert,” she responded, kissing him sweetly.
“I mean, I’m not gonna say no if you’re up for making some pie or something!” He grinned, grabbing a handful of his belly. “I’d love for my Apple to fill me up with some apple treats to celebrate!”
She smirked back with a chuckle. What a lovable asshole, always thinking with his belly, no matter what. “You’re lucky you’re so damn cute. I wouldn’t bake for just anyone,” she said getting off of him and heading to the kitchen to bake, her fat husband following behind her with wide eyes full of both love and lust. He might’ve been nervous at the thought of having a daughter, but he knew his Apple would be by his side to help him through anything.
Finally, the big day came and the most recent addition to the Firstman family made her heavenly debut. At just over 7 pounds, a healthy, little, heaven born Angel arrived late at night after her mother endured a tough, 20 hour long labor. That was almost 6 hours ago now and the whole family was resting in Lute’s hospital room.
The baby, who had not yet been named as Adam was waiting for Lute to reawaken from the pain meds before they officially signed her birth certificate, was in a hospital crib right next to her supersized father. She was surprisingly asleep after all the prodding, poking, and cleaning that had been done to her only hours before. He loved that his daughter was born in a safe, sterile environment, unlike his sons that were born in the wild millennia ago. Thank god human and Angel technology had advanced so much over the years, as Lute did unfortunately have a rough labor and lost a lot of blood in the process. Fortunately, after several transfusions and stitches, the doctors were able to make sure she was safe and stable, a true relief for the first man.
He looked over to his wife who was still asleep in her hospital bed, his face beaming with a smile of pride. His wife had yet again proved that she was a warrior, fighting through another fierce and bloody battle and coming out victorious! Except this time, she created life rather than taking it, an even more admirable task in his eyes. He felt so bad that she had to fight this battle alone, but he stood (rather sitting for most of it until it came time to push) by her for support the entire time. He never left her side other than to use the restroom a few times or to grab yet another snack or soda from the nearby vending machine. In fact, he didn’t even get a good look at his daughter until she was wheeled back into the room, as he stayed with Lute until the doctors ensured him that she was going to be alright. But as soon as the dust had settled and the baby was reunited with them, Adam had been unable to take his eyes off the newborn Angel.
Currently, the “new” dad was examining his tiny creation in awe, amazed that this little being was the product of the first true love of his life and himself. Sure, he felt pride and awe when his sons were born, but this was different. He felt something deeply personal and spiritual at the sight of his daughter that he couldn’t quite describe; an intense connection that tugged at his heart strings and almost brought tears of joy to his eyes from just the mere sight of the tiny babe.
This little one was the most gorgeous baby Adam had ever seen, human or Angel. Although he always thought that newborns always looked a bit odd and didn’t really get “cute” until they were at least a few months old, he could only see pure beauty in his daughter before him. Overcome by a sense of wanting to be near her, the fat man rose from his extra large chair and gently picked up his daughter from her crib before returning to his seat. He cradled her in his arms, adjust the pastel pink swaddling blanket so that she felt more secure and comfortable.
“There you go. All comfy and cozy now, huh?” He whispered to the baby before finally settling her atop his belly and comfortably in his soft arms. She let out a little squeak that made Adam chuckle, causing a ripple throughout his fat body.
“You’re gonna be a talker like your dad one day,” he spoke to her softly again as to not wake Lute. “I’ve never met a stranger in all my years and I have a feeling you’re gonna be the same way.”
The baby opened her tiny eyes and looked up at her father for the first time. Adam couldn’t help but smile and tear up again at the sight before him. She was a perfect mix of both her parents in his eyes. She had his chestnut brown hair and his nose. She had Lute’s greenish yellow eyes and her heart shaped face. She had a black halo levitating above her head like all Heaven borns did, but the prettiest feature she had in Adam’s eyes were her two tiny wings that were currently tucked to her back. They were an absolute perfect mix of his and Lute’s wings. They were an ombré of Lute’s black at the top and then fading into his own bright gold feathers. They were the most unique wings Adam had ever seen on an Angel before, and he thought the way the florescent lights shined on her tiny, downy feathers was breathtaking.
He adjusted the baby so that she was resting her whole tiny body on his expansive belly, holding her with his left arm for support and gently stroking her soft little wings and hair as he shared his thoughts with his daughter for the first time.
“I’m so glad that you’re here now, little one. Your mama and I waited quite a while for you to arrive, so welcome to the world.”
He sighed for a moment, remembering the times his sons were born and how he truly did miss them. “I’m sorry you got stuck with an ugly, fat bastard of a dad, but at least you lucked out with your mom. She’s the baddest bitch I’ve ever met and I’ll assure you that if she can deal with my bullshit, she’s got you covered too! I hope you take after her more than you ever take after me, though, especially in the looks department.”
It felt cathartic to Adam to vent his insecurities to daughter who wasn’t even close to having an understanding of the words he was saying. He never liked sharing his feelings, so it was nice to be able to say his inner thoughts without judgement.
“I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life and afterlife, little one. I’ll try my best to not repeat any of them for you. I might not be the best or most handsome dad around, but I’ll promise you this, my little Apple Dumpling. I promise to always take care of you, look out for you, and keep you safe and happy. I promise that I will always love you as much if not more than I love your mother and I am so damn lucky to be your dad.”
The baby nuzzled her face into his belly, a tiny smile seemed to show through. He let slip another happy tear, knowing that at least his daughter could feel the last message of love. “You like my belly just like your mama does, huh?” He chuckled, his pudgy finger caressing the soft skin of her tiny cheek. “I’ll admit, it’s a good shelf at times, even though it gets in the way a lot. It’ll always be here for you to take a nap on anytime you want. Daddy eats too much for it ever go away, but I’m always happy to be your pillow, and Mama’s too.”
He didn’t realize that Lute was awake again, watching this precious scene unfold between father and daughter. Although she was sore and groggy, she couldn’t help but smile at his gentle baby talk to their newborn. He was a natural father and she never once doubted his abilities to be a good one either. She was touched by his kind words about both her and their baby, feeling a sense of calming tranquilly from his baritone voice as he hummed a little lullaby to their daughter.
He looked over a few minutes later and noticed his wife was awake again. “Hey babe, how you feeling?” He asked, scooting closer to her. If they were at home, he would’ve just crawled in next to her, but they both knew that he was far too big and heavy for the tiny hospital bed she was currently in.
“As good as I can be after shitting out a little person and having my crotch destroyed and sewn up again,” she said, her voice a bit gruff from all the screaming earlier. She was quite vocal in expressing her intense labor pains, saying every swear word known to man or Angel in the process despite the epidural. The first man chuckled at his wife’s dry sense of humor, one of the many reasons he fell for her.
“Glad to hear that. You had me worried there for a while!” He paused for a moment, realizing that she hadn’t yet held their daughter. “Wanna hold her? I know you didn’t get too since they rushed you to surgery so quickly.”
She nodded, wincing a bit as she sat up. She was still fairly numb from the waist down, but her entire body was still in pain. Adam slowly passed the baby to her, gently placing her in his wife’s slim arms mindful of her IV. As soon as the baby was settled in, a sense of euphoria washed over the new mother, causing her to beam with happiness.
“It’s nice to meet you outside of me, little one,” she cooed to the baby, admiring her firstborn. “Daddy was right in saying you’re the prettiest little thing I’ve ever seen.”
“Have you decided on a name yet?” Adam asked, scooting closer to his wife and gently putting his hand on her shoulder. He figured that he had named enough creatures in his lifetime, so it was now his wife’s turn to name the most precious being of all.
“I think so,” Lute said, looking up at him. “How about Eris? Seems like a fitting name to me.”
“How so?” He asked with an arched brow. My god he was so dumb at times but she loved him the same.
“That’s the Greek goddess of chaos. She had a golden apple that she used to cause problems. It seems fitting to me that our little ‘Apple Dumpling’ that has golden wings would be a bringer of chaos just like her father.”
“Oh, that makes sense now!” He said, finally putting two and two together. “I like the name too. Eris Firstman has a nice ring to it. A pretty name for a pretty little Angel.”
“Welcome to the family, Eris,” she said to their daughter, who made a little smile. They both awed in delight, Adam lifting Lute’s chin and kissing her sweetly. They were now a complete family and both the fat Firstman and his tiny bride were more than happy to share their creation with the world.
Chapter 2: Doubts
Chapter Text
Although Adam had been retired for almost a decade now, he still had to report to Sera every now and then. It was mostly to give her additional intel or advice on how to deal with Hell and the now “rehabilitated” new arrivals that spawned from there, but sometimes it was for bullshit reasons in his opinion. Today he was summoned into his former boss’s office for the first time since Eris was born, meaning that today was the first day since her birth that Lute would be entirely alone with their daughter. While he knew she’d do just fine manning down the fort without him for a day, he knew that she was a nervous wreck about taking care of Eris by herself.
He had finally made it back to their suite after almost 10 hours of dealing with that bitch and her constant prodding and complaining. His back was aching from his previous injuries and he couldn’t wait to reunite with both of his girls. The obese Angel unlocked the door to his home and found a rather frightening scene before him.
“Get the fuck out of my fucking house!!!” He heard the all too familiar voice of his wife yell while then finding an angelic spear pointed at his throat. He braced himself for an impact, before Lute then realized that the home intruder was instead her goofball husband.
“Oh shit! Thank god it’s you!” She said with a sigh of relief, dropping the spear and instead jumping into his arms and burying her face into his soft chest. He could hear her starting to softly sob into his shirt and was absolutely confused as to what was going on with his wife.
Although his eyes were now wide as saucers, he slid his arms around her (carefully) and fully entered their suite and shutting the door behind him. “So um… I wasn’t expecting that. Are you ok? What happened?” He asked, trying to make sense of everything. He didn’t get an answer, her sobs only growing louder. He could hear Eris starting to fuss in her crib through the baby monitor, so at least she was safe regardless of this mess.
He sat his wife onto the couch and then sat across from her, taking her hand in his and lifting her chin once she was a bit calmer. “Lute, what’s going on? What was that all about?”
“You were gone for so long!” She cried out, tears seeping from her tired eyes. “I thought one of those bastard sinners got ahold of you and killed you! I was so scared that they’d come after us!!” She cried louder, smashing her face back into his chest and grabbing on tight to his fat middle, her metal fingers gripping onto his flabby skin a bit too tightly.
“Shh… it’s ok, babe…” he said, changing his tone to a softer one. He was never good at being comforting, but he hated to see the woman he loved so upset. “I’m ok. The baby’s ok. You’re ok. Everything is fine.” He let her get out her angst for a few minutes, checking his phone’s video monitor to check on Eris. He was relieved that she was perfectly fine, just probably upset by her mother’s cries.
When Lute was finally calm enough to talk, he lifted her chin again to gain her attention. “You ok now?” He asked, brushing her hair out of his face.
“Yeah… just really paranoid… really scared… really anxious… just not myself…” she choked out, wiping her eyes. “I legit thought you were gone… I don’t know what I would’ve done without you…”
“Hey, you’ll never have to worry about that. You can’t get rid of me that easily,” he said with a chuckle, trying to make her laugh. “Sorry to make you worry so much. That bitch kept me far over the agreed upon 6 hours for an intel session. They took my phone at the door or else I would’ve texted you to let you know I’d be late.”
“It’s ok… I was just… just so worried… so scared that… that I’d have to do this on my own…”
“Hey, you don’t gotta worry about that ever. I’m always gonna be here for you and our little girl. But even if you had to, you’d do just fine. You’re a great mom and you did just fine today.”
“If you say so…” she scoffed. “I feel like I’m falling apart… everything has me so fucked up today… every little noise had me jumping… I was afraid I would accidentally drop her because of this stupid prosthetic… I was so fucking scared something would happen to her without you here...”
“Lute, you did fine here without me. I just checked on the monitor and she’s ok. Nothing happened and all three of us are safe and sound,” he said, cupping her cheek. “I hate to see you so upset cause I was out.”
“It’s not just when you weren’t here… I’ve been feeling like this ever since she was born… I feel so fucking incompetent as a mother! I feel like I’m failing her…”
He pulled her into a hug, pressing her as close as he could to his fat body. He hated that she was so insecure of herself and her abilities, even apparently the domestic ones. “Babe, you are the most competent, wonderful, and capable bitch I’ve ever known. You’ve been my number one girl since you started training under me centuries ago. You have fought hordes of demons and slaughtered them without fail. You’ve put up with my bullshit for decades without complaint. You’ve been the only loyal and faithful woman in my entire existence and I find that absolutely incredible. You’re so damn smart, and beautiful, and caring, and whatever other good quality bullshit descriptors my brain can’t come up with at the moment! You are more than competent and capable to be a good mother to our daughter!”
She sighed and nuzzled into him, feeling his thick hands glide up and down her back and wings. “Thank you, Adam… I needed to hear that…”
“You’re welcome, my Apple,” he said softly, kissing her forehead sweetly. “But I do mean every word. You’re amazing in every way to me.”
She was about to respond when she heard Eris begin to cry again. Her maternal instincts kicked back in and she ran to her daughter. Before Adam could even get off the couch to accompany her, Lute brought Eris out, cradling her in her arms and trying to soothe her. She grabbed the nursing pillow before she sat back on the couch.
“She’s hungry. That’s her hungry cry,” Lute said, getting herself and Eris situated and then lifting her shirt out of the way. “Shh little one… Mama’s here with your milk.”
Adam watched in awe as his wife fed their daughter, as he had done so several times before; partially admiring here swollen breasts that he so wished he was the one who was face to face with them, but mostly just appreciating how beautiful and motherly she looked in the moment. He watched as Lute gently hummed a little tune to daughter as she hungrily suckled from her mother, stroking her chestnut brown hair with her fleshy fingers. It was truly a beautiful sight to the first man, finding Lute’s motherly affection being even more intense than his second wife’s ever was.
“And you were worried you weren’t a good mom?” He said, putting his hand on her shoulder. “Look at you! You’re practically a natural! I know it’s cliche and sounds stupid, but you’ve really got that motherhood glow to you.”
“You think so?” She asked, still insecure.
“I know so. You’re doing just fine Lute and you’re the perfect mom for our little girl.”
He reached over and gave her a sweet kiss on the cheek, making the younger Angel smile. He might have been a dumb ass a lot of the time, but he always pulled through when she needed him the most.
A few minutes later, Eris was finished with her meal and Adam scooped her up to give Lute a break. He burped her and got her settled as Lute took a few moments to redress and recompose herself.
“There we go! All ready for bed, aren’t ya?” Adam said to his daughter before sitting back on the couch, the furniture creaking under his immense weight. He propped the baby up on his belly and rested her head in his arm as he pulled Lute into a hug with his free arm. Their daughter smiled up at her fat father, her tiny hand reaching up to try and grab his beard, melting his heart. “Such a cute little shit.”
“See, she smiles for you! She hasn’t smiled once for me all day!” Lute said, annoyed at the situation. “It was on and off, sleeping, crying, or no reaction… ugh… what am I doing wrong?”
“You aren’t doing anything wrong, dear. Babies are just like that sometimes,” he said, looking at his wife. “They’re just little people and we all have days where we don’t feel like smiling.”
“It’s just really disheartening, you know? You seem to have a grasp on things and I feel like a fucking loser no matter what I do…”
“Babe, this ain’t my first rodeo as a parent. The first with a girl for sure, but I’ve had more experience with kids than you do. I have a few tricks up my sleeve that you get with age and wisdom that you’ll get with time.”
Eris then noticed her mother and reached out for her too. With a small smile, Lute let the baby grasp onto her finger, earning a happy giggle from the infant.
“See? She thinks you’re doing a good job too,” he said, providing some reassurance to his wife. “If the paranoia and doubt keeps up, then yeah I think you need to go back to the doctor to get yourself checked out for postpartum depression. But for now, just go ahead and relax. I’m not gonna let anything happen to my Apple or our little Dumpling. You’re both safe with me here.”
He kissed both of their foreheads, making Lute finally feel at ease. He was right and just his prescience beside her helped give her peace of mind. If Adam was beside her, she could do this. She could be as good of a parent as possible as long as they had each other. She would consider getting her mental health checked out, but for now, she really was exhausted from the constant worrying as well as the daily stresses of being a new mom. She turned on their tv and put on a movie for them to relax to for the rest of the evening and cuddled into Adam’s plush body, using his big belly as a pillow as he held her tight against his bulk.
In less than 30 minutes, Adam was the only member of the Firstman household that was still awake. Eris was sound asleep on his left, using the upper left side of his belly as a mattress. Lute had nodded off using the bottom right portion of his belly as a pillow, softly snoring into his snug t shirt. This definitely proved that he was indeed a fat fuck, but he felt so fucking loved in this moment that it didn’t matter. He had a proud, wide smile painted on his fat face as he reflected on the moment. The fact that HIS girls, HIS beloved wife and daughter, felt comfortable and safe enough to sleep on him and in his arms just touched his soul. He had been through so much in his eons of existence and he had only experienced this level of happiness a handful of times. He felt bad that Lute was struggling a bit today, but the fact that he could make her problems temporarily disappear for a bit made his own troubles melt away. He sat there admiring his girls’ beauty for another half hour or so before he too began to yawn, indicating that the whole family needed to get some well needed rest in a proper place.
He slowly slid Lute off of his side and rested her head on the couch pillow beside him before raising his 650+ pounds off the sofa and waddled his way to the bedroom with his daughter in his arms. After changing her diaper and putting on her tiny pajamas, he kissed her little forehead again before laying her in her crib that sat in the corner of their master bedroom.
“Goodnight, my little Apple Dumpling. Daddy loves you so much,” he whispered to her, holding her tiny hand with his pinkie before turning on her avian themed mobile to help her sleep.
He then went back to the living room and slowly lifted Lute from the couch bridal style. She was still sound asleep in his arms, being absolutely exhausted from her stressful day. He thought she looked absolutely gorgeous in his arms as he waddled his way back in the room and placed her on her side of the bed. She was already wearing lounge clothes, so she’d be fine to sleep in those too. He slowly unclasped her prosthetic and put it on the nightstand next to her just in case it was needed. He quickly threw off his t shirt and sweatpants before turning off the light and climbing into bed as quietly as a man of his size could.
The bed betrayed him and the squeak of the mattress springs woke his wife, who shot up in confusion.
“Shit! Sorry dear. Tried not to wake you up. And before you ask, Eris is in her crib, sound asleep,” he said in a low voice as he laid down on his side, his massive belly spilling onto the bed before him and lightly crashing against her petite body.
“It’s ok,” she said with a yawn. “I must’ve really been out. I don’t even remember you bringing me in here.”
“You were, so my bad for ruining that. Dumb fucking bed…” he said, pulling the blanket over them. “But hey, just close your eyes again and relax. I’m still right here.”
She nodded before giving him a quick peck on the lips and rolling over to be the little spoon. She tucked her wings underneath her as Adam pulled her close against him. Lute melted into the feeling of his huge belly pressing into her sore back and the heat radiating off of him. She was enveloped by his fat body and almost instantly fell back asleep in mere moments. Adam smiled as he heard her drift off again, extending his good wing over top of her as he always did when she was the little spoon, an extra layer of “protection” from the outside world as she slept.
“Goodnight, my beautiful Apple,” he whispered to her. “I love you so fucking much, Lute. More than you’ll ever know.” His sweet nothings were not responded too, but he still felt her loving sentiment as she snuggled closer into his big body and golden feathers. The first man closed his eyes for the night, excited to spend another day in paradise with the girls who made it worthwhile.
Chapter 3: A New Leaf
Chapter Text
5 years later:
Neither Adam or Lute were looking forward to this day. Today was the 10th Anniversary of the Heaven and Hell Reconciliation and the former exterminators had been dreading it for weeks now. All extermination efforts had officially been banned by God and his highest ranking angels 10 years ago today. To celebrate this “monumental” moment in history’s anniversary this year, the high council (including the big man himself) insisted that all former exterminators attend the commemorative ceremony that was being held at noon today. That meant that both Adam and Lute Firstman were being forced to go to this stupid event that was essentially humiliating themselves and their former contributions in front of the entire realm.
Adam was more pissed off about attending the event than Lute was, which was evident by the amount of pouting and bitching he had been doing for the past week. He was just as pissed when exterminations were abolished 10 years ago, obviously, but something about the fact of being forced to “atone” for what was previously his line of work for millennia just aggravated him to no end. He hadn’t stopped bitching his grievances since he woke up this morning, even as he currently sat in his reinforced recliner as the tv news station played in the background, annoying his wife who was taking the situation surprisingly very well.
Lute was definitely not happy about the situation, but felt it was a good learning opportunity to teach Eris about the fact that the only constant in life is change and that even angels must learn to adapt. She’d be attending the ceremony with them, as all of the former exterminators families would be allowed to sit with them.
While her husband was “busy” bitching at the reporters on the television who were already commentating on the ceremony as if it was a sporting event, Lute was actually busy helping Eris get ready for the event. She dressed her in a formal white children’s robe that was accented with a golden sash around her waist and had golden lace trimming on the sleeves and hems. All of the former exorcists were told to dress in black robes to show their “condolences” to the demon souls that were slaughtered by their hands, but there were no rules for their families that attended, so Lute decided that white and gold were far better colors to outfit their daughter in for the frivolous ceremony. Afterwards, she braided her daughter’s chestnut brown hair into an updo, allowing mother and daughter to bond for a few moments.
“Mama, why is daddy so upset about today?” The young Angel asked her mother.
“That’s a complicated question, little one,” she started, gently inserting another Bobby pin into her hair. “Daddy and I worked as exterminators for quite a long time. He was very good at his job and he took a lot of pride in his work. I think he’s just upset because he feels that all his hard work is being discredited.”
“But I thought you said we were just going to sit, listen to Miss Sera speak, and eat lunch? Why’s he so upset about that?”
“Yes, that’s correct, and I thank you for paying attention and remembering that. But in Daddy’s eyes, it’s a bit more complicated than that. He’s mostly just mad that he has to listen to people he doesn’t agree with about his old job.”
She finished with the last pin and sprayed some hairspray to keep it in place at least until she found her friends from Kindergarten at the after party. It was inevitable that Eris would run and fly around with her schoolmates as soon as her belly was full from the luncheon, causing the demise of the beautiful braids Lute had just finished. The phrase “Like father, like daughter,” rung in Lute’s mind as Eris jumped down from the vanity stool.
“But don’t worry about Daddy today. We both know he’s always a bit of a drama queen, no matter what. He’ll be back to his normal self after he raids the dessert table this afternoon.”
Eris giggled at that comment, very aware of her father’s legendary eating habits. She might’ve only been around for a few years now, but she already knew that her father was very large and rather notorious for eating more cake and pie than anyone else.
“What’s that about me and a dessert table?” A familiar baritone voice chimed in, his heavy footsteps being felt on the wooden floorboards underneath. Lute looked up to see her massive husband in the doorway to Eris’ bedroom, still only wearing his underclothes despite time running out.
“Just telling Eris that you will most likely be eating her weight in cake after lunch,” Lute said in a sassy voice and putting her hands on her hips.
“Me? Eat that much cake? Never!” He said in a sarcastic tone, causing his wife to roll her eyes as Eris approached her father. He looked down at his daughter and a familiar wide smile returned to his face.
He bent down and quickly scooped up the little girl into his thick arms. “My goodness, you look so pretty, Apple Dumpling!” He kissed her tiny, chubby cheek, earning another cute giggle from the little girl. “Mama did a great job at making your hair look so nice!”
“Thank you, daddy!” She threw her tiny arms around his thick neck to hug him, causing his heart to melt again and forget the problems of the day for a moment.
“You’re welcome, babygirl,” he answered with another kiss on her forehead. “Oh, how I wish we could just stay home all day and play dress up with you instead of going to this stupid event…”
“Speaking of playing dress up, you need to finish getting ready too, mister!” Lute nagged at him, helping Eris back to the floor and nudging him to the closet where his own custom made black robe was.
“Ugh… I know… don’t remind me…” he said, waddling his way to don the aforementioned dreaded robe.
This robe was just one more thing that pissed Adam off about this ceremony situation. He had to buy (out of his own pocket) and be fitted with this special robe for the occasion because none of the standard issue ones even came close to fitting his now 700 pound frame. He was so embarrassed when Sera forced him to try on the largest size available (a 5XL) and it wouldn’t even budge past his navel. She practically forced him to get this custom made 12XL robe and he hated the additional reminder (from anyone but his wife) that he was indeed an absolute fat fuck. It was cute and sexy when Lute teased him about being so big, not so much when it came from his former boss.
Being a dad hit Adam’s already extremely large waist line like a truck, especially after Eris had taken her first steps. His constant worries and the stresses of parenthood allowed him to pack on another 50+ pounds from stress eating late at night. Due to his height, he obviously didn’t appear that his weight was over 200 pounds heavier than a quarter ton, but it was obvious to everyone that Adam was one of, if not the, fattest angels in heaven. His belly now hung just above his knees while standing and he was now forced to tuck his belly apron in his pants because of it. All of his furniture was now all extra reinforced, as he had finally had enough of breaking chairs and beds. His mobility had become even more limited, having to use a cane to get around most days (which he was refusing to bring with him today at the event due to embarrassment). Most of his clothes were now ordered online because he was even too big for Heaven’s one and only big and tall store. But despite all of the hassle being this size gave him, Adam was still very happy with his life now. His family was safe and happy, his daughter was blossoming into a beautiful young lady, Lute was definitely thrilled about being married to such a large man, and best of all, he finally felt content and comfortable with who he was. He no longer had to hide behind a mask (both literally and figuratively) and could really embrace the loud mouthed dumbass with a heart of gold that he had always been.
With a bit of help from his wife, Adam donned the dreaded robe and combed his hair for the event. She helped him with his shoes as she did every morning and the Firstman family was out the door and on their way to Heaven’s promenade for the event. He of course bitched the entire car ride there about how this robe made him look ridiculous, but Lute simply drowned him out with the metal music playing on the radio. Eris had the same musical taste as her parents and happily sang along to the semi-family friendly hard rock songs as they drove to the promenade.
Reluctantly, they arrived at the ceremony and were ushered to sit in the front row of the exterminators’ section of the gigantic stage. Adam was already winded from the short walk from the car to the stage and now he had to climb up a flight of stairs to sit in front of millions to be embarrassed? He was fuming internally, but tried to keep his cool for his family’s sake. He grumbled under his breath as he began ascending the golden staircase.
After the trek up the stairs, (with plenty of huffing and puffing from the obese angel), they found their seats that were obviously designated for them. At the end of the first row was an extra wide chair that had no armrests on it with a card labeled “Adam Firstman” taped to it. Why not just make it obvious to everyone that the fat bastard extermination leader was there and couldn’t fit in a normal chair? Swallowing his pride, he waddled his way over to the seat and lowered his heavy body onto it, causing it to creak under his weight, making the first man blush like crazy. Lute thought he was adorable in this state of embarrassment, kissing his cheek before sitting down in the seat beside him with Eris on her other side. He made a small smile at her kiss, but continued to scowl afterwards at this entire spectacle.
Lute gave Eris her fidget toy to help keep the little girl calm, quiet, and focused during the ceremony. Eris had inherited her father’s ADHD and had a very hard time with situations such as these. While she was never the kid who was bouncing off the walls or disrupting class, Eris did deal with focusing issues, paying attention, day dreaming, hyperfixating on her favorite toys and tv shows, and other neurodivergent features. Both of her parents did everything in their power to help her with her problems, especially Adam who had first hand experience with the disorder. He himself had a fidget cube that he was flicking under his robe sleeve to help ease his pent up frustration. As the ceremony commenced, Lute took his other large hand in her own and squeezed it tight to reassure him that she was there and to help keep him calm throughout this difficult event.
Adam believed that the entire ceremony was nothing but a dick sucking festival for the archangels and seraphim. Each of their speeches sounded more preachy and asskissing than the next. His eyes practically rolled out of his head when he heard Sera get up to the podium, praise all of the hellspawn that managed to get redeemed and sent to heaven, and then have the audacity to rip on their life’s work. He wanted so badly to just push her out of the way, steal the microphone, and kick every single former sinner out of heaven once and for all. How dare they make a fool of him like this, in front of all of heaven to see?!?!
But he remained strong and simply kept his mouth shut during the remaining speeches. Lute hardly paid attention to anything that any of the speakers said between trying to comfort both her daughter and her husband. After an hour of constant talking heads, both father and daughter were getting restless and agitated. There was only so much a fidget toy could do to keep their wild minds occupied. Finally, it came to the last speaker, one that they never expected to be there, Charolette Morningstar herself.
Both Adam and Lute were fuming at the sight of the person who maimed them both (physically and mentally), but managed to keep themselves quiet to avoid being yelled at by Sera and to set a good example for their daughter. They didn’t even hear a single word she said, as all of their energy was put into containing their rage.
Finally, Charlie stopped speaking and Sera dismissed the event. With a groan and a bit of help from his wife, Adam stood up again and began waddling his way down the staircase. His knees were killing him, each step causing sharp pain to shoot through them with each step. Since he refused to bring his cane for this event due to his own ego, his damaged back was regretting his decision in the moment. When they finally made it to the lobby, Eris asked Lute to take her to the bathroom and Adam decided to use this opportunity to sit down and catch his breath on a bench.
Once seated, the fat angel wiped the sweat from his forehead, feeling a bit embarrassed that he was so out of shape now. His mobility had never really been a problem before, no matter how much weight he gained, that is until about 6 months or so ago when he finally hit 700 pounds . Perhaps his body was screaming at him to stop being such a fat pig and have some self control, but it was also hot as hell. He knew Lute loved to see him so pitiful and panting, and it was very evident in the bedroom. She did most of the work for those activities anymore due to his size and how tired he was most of the time, but he still found it incredibly sexy that he could still turn Lute on by being his true hedonistic self.
He pulled out his phone and began scrolling on it until he heard an all too familiar and obnoxious voice.
“Holy shit! Is that… Adam?” The voice asked, causing the first man to snap his neck over to the source of voice, a scowl instantly appearing on his fat face. Before him stood his mortal enemy, Lucifer Morningstar himself. Great, just who needed to ruin his day further.
“What the fuck are you doing here?” He snapped, venom in his voice.
“Yep. That’s you alright,” Lucifer chimed, a devious smile appearing on his pale face. “Why we were simply attending the ceremony to support my daughter. I assume you heard her speak?”
“Yeah I fucking heard her speak, and I’m not too fucking happy about it,” the fat angel responded, standing up from the bench (doing his best to not struggle in front of his enemy). “How the fuck did you even get in here? I thought you were banished eons ago?”
“Sera gave my family and I day passes through the pearly gates. I’m glad to see it hasn’t changed a bit since I left! Unlike someone it seems.”
“Very fucking funny, asshole,” Adam scoffed, crossing his arms. “Yeah I put on some weight, so fucking what?”
“Some weight?! My dear first man, that’s a bit more than some weight! I barely recognized you if it wasn’t for those golden wings and dingy hair. My, you really seem to have let yourself go, even more so than our last little fight 15 years ago!”
Adam was steaming. How fucking dare this prick?!? The same prick that stole both of his ex wives away from him?! This mother fucker didn’t belong here and he wasn’t even worthy of speaking to him, and here he was, mocking Adam in public. He was about to respond, until Charlie and her traitor of a wife Vaggie showed up behind the short little fucker.
“There you are dad! I had to fight the crowd out the door-“ Charlie said before pausing upon the sight of seeing who her father was arguing with. “Adam? Is that you?”
“Yeah, we’ve established that it’s me and that I’m a fat bastard now. Whoop-de-shit! Can we fucking move on?!” His eyes practically rolling out of his head.
“Holy fucking shit!” Vaggie said before cackling like a hyena. “I always knew you had a fat ass, Sir, but never this big of one.”
“I swear to fucking god that if you three don’t get out of my sight, I will-“ Adam started until he was interrupted by a familiar voice yelling “Daddy!” and crashing into his leg from behind, not helping with his lower body pain whatsoever. The little girl hugged onto her father leg with a smile, looking up at him with that all too precious smile. “Daddy! Look! Lady Emily gave me this flower for my hair while we were in the bathroom!” Eris said, completely unaware of the budding fight. Then she looked forward and saw the three demons standing in front of her father and was instantly scared. She then decided to hide behind her father, starting to cry and trembling in fear at the scary creatures that seemed angry at the man she trusted the most.
Adam looked down quickly at his daughter and then back up at the demons, noting how their expressions changed when Eris ran up to him. Lucifer particularly seemed dumbfounded at Eris’ appearance, his mouth agape and eyes wide.
“That one is yours?!” Vaggie asked, putting her hands on her hips with a scowl on her face. “Who the hell is her mother?!”
“Who the fuck do you think it is, Vaggie?” He snapped back at his former subordinate before attending to his daughter. It was obvious to any former exterminator that Lute and Adam had some sort of external relationship outside of their working one. Did this dumb bitch seriously not figure it out? Speaking of Lute, where the hell was she? Why didn’t she come with Eris?
“Hey! Shh! It’s ok!” He tried to coax his daughter as he wrangled her from behind his wide legs. He grabbed her and scooped her up in his arms again, the little girl crying and pressing her face into her father’s chest. “Shhh…It’s alright…”
Charlie then stepped forward, feeling compassion for the scared child. Vaggie tried to hold her back, but knowing how stubborn her wife was, let her approach her former boss and his daughter. “Hi there little one!” Charlie cooed at Eris, catching her attention. “Hey, no need to cry! We won’t hurt you!”
The little girl in Adam’s arms lifted her head and looked at Charlie, still scared but her crying had stopped. “My name’s Charlie. I’m the Princess of Hell. What’s your name?”
“Eris…” the little girl squeaked out, her brown hair falling a bit into her eyes. She was rather intrigued at the word princess because she adored playing princess with her parents.
“Awe that’s a very pretty name! Your daddy did a great job at picking that one out! I heard he’s really good at naming things!”
“That one was actually Lute’s doing,” he said with a small chuckle. “But yeah it’s a beautiful name.” His temper seemed to be calming down. Then Lute finally showed up.
“There you are! I turn around for one second to talk to Emily and you take off on-“ she said to her daughter before she realized who was standing only a few feet in front of her. “Get the fuck away from my daughter. NOW!!” Her wings unfurled and she was about to grab the knife she kept hidden on her person before Adam stopped her.
“Lute, babe, chill… It’s ok. No one’s hurt. Everything’s fine. I have this under control,” he said, using his free arm to temporarily restrain his wife. She stood back, but her death stare continued at the betrayer and the morningstars.
“It’s so great to meet you, Eris,” Charlie continued. “How old are you?”
“5… are you really a princess?”she asked, looking at Charlie directly now.
“Yep! My dad here is the King of the underworld. He’s an angel just like you are! We might look a little different from you and your family, but I promise that we’re just as nice.” Eris now had a smile on her face, despite her eyes being a bit puffy and red from crying. Adam could only grin at his daughter’s reaction. How innocent and pure she was.
“I have something for you too, little one,” Lucifer said, stepping closer. Adam held back Lute again, who was in protective mama bear mode. He was cautious, but let Lucifer try and explain himself.
“I’ve known your daddy for quite a long time and while we haven’t always seen eye to eye, one thing we can both agree on is that we love our daughters very much.” Lucifer looked over at Charlie with a smile before he cupped his hand and conjured up a puff of red smoke with his magic. When the smoke faded, it revealed a cute little yellow rubber duck with a tiny black halo on it and its wings resembled her own ombré ones. “When Princess Charlie was your age, she loved playing with these little guys. So I decided to give you one too!”
Eris gleefully grabbed the duck from the short demon’s hand and leaped from her father’s arms into her mother’s. “Look Mama! It’s a duckie!!”
Lute looked up at Lucifer, arching a brow but then smiling at her daughter’s reaction to the gift. “Tell him thank you.”
“Thank you Mr. King!” The little angel said with a big happy smile on her pudgy face. There was definitely no denying that Eris was Adam’s daughter in Lucifer’s eyes. She was the splitting image of her father and Lucifer could see that their relationship was as pure as the one he had with his own daughter.
“You’re very welcome, little Eris,” Lucifer said, tipping his hat to her before turning to Adam. “All jokes aside, I’m glad to see you’ve done well for yourself since I saw you last. You’ve obviously changed a lot since then, but I think most of those changes are for the better. I see that spark in your eye when your daughter smiles, and it’s the same one I have when I look at Charlie even today.”
“Y-yeah… she’s my everything,” Adam answered, unsure of how to feel about the situation. “And yeah, I definitely need to cut back on the sweets, but my life has been going pretty well after we retired. We’ve been married for over a decade now and Eris has been our greatest joy. Even Seth and I have reconciled and have been in touch over the past couple years.”
Lucifer smiled up at the huge angel before him, proud that he has become a better person since his extermination days. He offered his hand to shake. “I’m so glad to hear that. From one dad to another, I’d like to see us move on from the past and look towards the future.”
Reluctantly, Adam shook his hand back and nodded. “Yeah. I’d like that too.”
“We have to go now, Adam,” Lute said, grabbing his arm to lead him away. The fat angel nodded and waved goodbye before walking away with his family. He smiled to himself as he waddled away. Perhaps it really was time to move on from this petty feud with the fallen angel. This was a new chapter of his afterlife and he truly felt it was time to turn over a new leaf against the Morningstars.
That evening, the Firstman family was relieved to be back in the comfort of their own home and could finally relax after a stressful, yet interesting day. Eris was in her bedroom, playing with her assortment of dolls and stuffed animals, along with her new toy duck that Lucifer had given her. Lute was obviously not happy about her former enemy gifting her child anything, but Eris really seemed to enjoyed the duck, so she swallowed her pride to appease her daughter.
Adam and Lute were now in the living room of their suite, getting some alone time together with Eris still close by if she needed them. Adam was sat on the reinforced sofa, leaned back and fully relaxed with Lute cuddled up next to him, using his big belly as a pillow as a movie played in the background. Neither of them were really paying attention to it, their minds racing about the events of the day and also just simply enjoying the feeling of being together as they were able to unwind.
Adam noticed that Lute’s wings were in desperate need of some upkeep and decided to help her out. He plucked at the pin feathers with his large hands, his wife letting out a relaxed sigh.
“Fuck, I really needed this,” she said, hugging his belly tighter as she opened her wings to give Adam easier access to them. Wing preening was something that angels did for bonding and it was rather special for the couple. Adam loved being able to help his tiny wife with this intimate task and Lute certainly enjoyed the feeling of getting her sensitive appendages stroked by the man she loved.
“I figured you needed some extra care after what happened today,” he said, running his chubby fingers up and down her black and gray wings. “You ok? You’ve been pretty quiet since we saw them.”
“Yeah…just… a lot of mixed feelings is all…” she said, folding hers back to their sitting position and sitting up to look her husband better. “I’ve been trying to keep my shit together but it’s hard… As soon as I saw his stupid white and red face, I was filled with dread and anger. I was terrified he was going to hurt you or Eris…”
“But he didn’t and that’s what matters,” Adam said, wrapping his arm around her, her body sinking further into his soft fat. “I think it was good to get some closure after all these years. I think we’ve all grown a lot over the past decade and a half and I think it’s time to move on.”
“I think you’ve done the most growing of all,” Lute teased with a sly grin, grabbing a handful of his belly, turning him on instantly. Obviously she couldn’t see it due to all the flab in the way, but by the way his cheeks were turning red, Lute knew that Adam was putty in her hands.
“You’re definitely not wrong on that one!” He answered back, lifting Lute up to straddle his belly as he laid back on the couch. “As he said before you got there, I’ve really let myself go.”
“You didn’t let yourself go, my love. Only improved with time and age,” she said, her hands rubbing his belly, her tiny hand sneaking under his t shirt and stroking it. “I like this version of Adam the best.”
“Why do you say that?” He teased with an arched eyebrow.
“Because you’re perfect for me,” she answered, cupping his chubby cheek with her metal hand. “You’re big, soft, and strong. You’re always there for me no matter what. I couldn’t ask for a better husband.”
His heart melted at that. Even after all these years, this tiny woman could always pull at his heartstrings. “And you’re the best wife I could ever have dreamed of. You put up with so much from me, and I have no idea why. I’m a big giant slob and a fuck up, but yet you still stick around. I can’t figure out why, but I’m so happy that you’re here with me.”
“You’re not a fuck up, Adam. I’m a mess too, but I think that’s why we work so well together. We compliment each other’s messes.”
“Either way, I’m just so fucking happy that you’re mine and that you chose me. You’re my only wife that actually chose me. The others were forced into it, but they obviously never really liked me… but you have always been there for me, Lute. Through thick and thin. No matter what happens, I know my beautiful little Apple will always be by side.” He teared up a little before pulling her into a sweet kiss. She could genuinely feel the love emanating from her husband, sensing how much he truly cared for her.
“I’ll always choose you now and for the rest of eternity,” she said, breaking the kiss and resting her head on his plump chest as he squeezed her tight against him. She loved when he was sappy like this. She loved seeing him show his vulnerability and expressing his love. He whispered sweet nothings to her as he continued to preen her feathers again, enjoying a moment of peace together.
A few minutes later, Eris came running back in the room with a crayon drawing she created. “Look Mama and Daddy! I drew this for you!” The little girl said as she eagerly ran towards her parents, her tiny wings fluttering with joy. She hadn’t learned to fly quite yet, but Lute was excited that she’d be able to teach her how to do so soon.
“Lemme take a look!” Adam said as Lute sat up next to him. He took the paper from his daughter as she crawled up on the couch’s arm to sit next to her fat father. He examined the drawing, chuckling at his daughter’s crayon rendering of her family. She drew herself in the middle with Lute on her left and Adam on her right. He found it funny that his wife and daughter were drawn to look like what a typical child her age would draw, but he looked like a beach ball with a head. He also saw that his drawn persona was carrying what looked like some sort of pies or cakes, which he felt was very fitting considering he polished off quite a few pieces of that earlier at the luncheon. “Wow! This looks great, babygirl! Mama, I think we have an aspiring artist on our hands!” Eris let out a cute little giggle as he handed his wife the drawing to look at, bringing a smile to her face too.
“Agreed! It’s definitely worthy of the fridge!” Lute said, setting the drawing to the side to hang up as soon as she stood.
“I thought that it would make you feel better since you were so upset earlier,” Eris said. Adam was touched that his daughter cared so much for his well being.
“That’s so sweet of you. Come here! I need a hug from both my girls!” He hugged Eris tight with one arm and Lute with the other, both his wife and his daughter squeezing onto his soft belly fat on each side. In that moment, he felt so fucking loved. More than he ever had before. “I love my Apple and our little Dumpling more than anything in this whole world!”
“I love you too, Daddy!” Eris said with another cute giggle.
“And I love you too, Adam,” Lute answered, kissing his chubby cheek and nuzzling into him.
Adam was always meant to be a husband, to love and be loved. He just had to find the right wife to give that love to. Millennia later, he found the woman that he could call his forever wife. After eons of searching and two failed marriages, he finally found what was always missing in his afterlife: a family that chose him and accepted him as is. His own beautiful, little family that embraced the fat first man for who he really was, flaws and all. For the first time since the dawn of time, Adam Firstman was finally at peace with the two beings he loved the most, right in his arms.
