Captains' Gambit [COMIC]

Summary:

UEF Captain James Kirk and Captain Spock of the Sh'Rel have been working together for months to take down the Romulans. The culminating mission could mean incredible things for Vulcan-Human relations.

Prompt:

 

What if United Earth Fleet Captain Kirk decided to provide assistance to the Vulcan Captain of the Sh’Rel, Spock, in their fight against the Romulans, after all?

Basically, I’d like something based on the alternate universe explored in SNW 2x3 “Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow”, but ignoring everything that happened with La’an and Khan. I really like it when Kirk and Spock get together and find out they work really well as a team under unlikely circumstances + the idea that they’re meant to be together in every universe. (Whether that's in a slash or gen way).

Opt-Ins: Not required, but if you wanna add heavy violence and/or torture, go for it. They are facing the Romulans, after all.

Bonus points if you can somehow work in a reference to Kirk learning how to cook plomeek soup in a toilet from his Vulcan cellmate in Denobulan prison. ;)
