How would the GGST characters react if you’re AFAB and on your period, and just having a bad time with it?

• Sol Badguy
  • He’s been alive for a long time, he knows it happens and how bad it can get for some.
  • He’ll still be gruff with you, like he is with everyone, but he still is nicer to you.
  • He’ll be iffy about it, but he’d be willing to cuddle you because he knows that you like it and it settles your cramps.
  • He knows exactly what to give you for your various symptoms (cramps, headaches, fatigue, etc.) but he just kind of tosses it to you and just says “here, take it,” and goes off to do whatever he was doing.
  • He might tell you to toughen up at times as well, but he knows he can’t push you too hard.
  • Will get a few of every type of product on the market, but he’ll learn which you like.
• Ky Kiske
  • He is one of the kings, so he can pawn some work off just to spend some time with you.
  • If you want to just lay in bed all day, he will join you for the sake of cuddles.
  • He will make you tea and give you a heating pad
  • If you have cramps or a headache, he’s getting you some pain meds if it’s bad enough.
  • He believes what you say about your pain and doesn’t judge you for it.
  • Will get exactly the type of product you like.
• May
  • She knows exactly what it’s like and will help you every single time!
  • All of the Jellyfish Pirates know their own little tips and tricks for cycle management.
  • She will be very close to just tackling you and making you rest.
  • Cuddles galore! These cuddles will be the best you will ever have in your life!
  • If you’re feeling sick, she will fret a bit and will take care of you until you feel better.
  • They’ve got a whole closet filled with every menstrual product imaginable and then some, so pick what you like!
• Axl Low
  • He’ll try to cook your favorite dishes because he likes to make you feel special.
  • He’ll grab you a heating pad, some tasty snacks, some water and tea, and some pain meds if you need it.
  • You two will probably end up sitting on the couch together. You have a heating pad clutched to your lower torso and your head in his lap. He’s stroking your hair.
  • If your cramps get bad enough that it shows on your face, and he time stops, he won’t want to look at your face, he hates seeing you suffer.
• Chipp Zanuff
  • He will not notice you’re in pain unless you shout, groan, or make an audible acknowledgement of it.
  • If you want him to stay with you, you probably need to talk to Answer and get him to make Chipp spend time with you.
  • He doesn’t always realize that it’s as bad as you say it is.
  • If your face looks anemic on your period, he might notice. Then, he will actually take care of you.
  • He has no idea what he’s doing. You might even have to explain to him how periods work.
  • Once it clicks, he’s taking care of you as if it were the easiest thing in the world.
• Potemkin
  • He’ll be off and doing his work before you wake up, but by the time he comes home, you’re still in bed, groaning in pain.
  • “Hey, are you okay?” he asks.
  • If you make a gesture towards your uterus, he immediately understands.
  • He’ll make you some tea and get you some pain meds.
  • If you get cravings for things such as chocolate, he’s going out and getting them for you, and stocking up for the next few months too.
  • He’ll make sure you rest and don’t do more than you feel up to.
  • He’s a big guy and can pick you up with ease. He’ll probably just hold you close, being careful not to crush you.
• Faust
  • Okay, he’s a doctor, he knows what is happening. In between his insane ramblings, he will give you recommendations on what to do for the pain.
  • He’ll be quick to “prescribe” you some ginger tea, a heating pad, and some rest. If that doesn’t work, try some pain meds.
  • He also insists that you eat some red meat or other iron-rich food if you’re looking anemic. “You need more iron,” he’ll say then go off to do other things.
  • He does track your cycle, and if he notices anything out of the ordinary, he’ll be sure to tell you and tell you to ask your gynecologist. For the love of all that is good, listen to him.
  • He takes good care of you, and you couldn’t be more thankful. You are so glad your doctor boyfriend is there for you.
• Millia Rage
  • She sees you get up one day and nearly stumble as you get out of bed.
  • She knows exactly what’s up before you do and without saying a word, she practically shoves you back into bed and gets you a heating pad, some menstrual products, and makes you a cup of tea.
  • She goes to work for the day, but she’s worried about you the whole time. She knows it happens every month or so, but still, she doesn’t like watching you suffer with it.
  • The second she gets home, you two are cuddling. She’ll use her hair to grab things that you need.
• Zato
  • He won’t notice any physical signs unless you tell him.
  • He can hear your subtle groans of pain, and he knows. The second he does, he reaches over, grabs you, and holds you close.
  • “If you need anything, just tell me, okay?” He can feel you nod against his chest, and he smiles.
  • You have to tell him what you’re feeling and what you need, but he’ll bring you those things.
  • He’s a bit more affectionate than usual because he understands that periods can be just another week out of the month for some or it can be a living hell.
• Ramlethal Valentine
  • She already knows how they work, common symptoms, and what to bring you just by looking at you.
  • She does silently judge you a little bit if you can’t get up and do things after the first day, but she sees how pale your face is and how contorted it is with pain and cuts you some slack.
  • She’s particular in how she wants to take care of you. Ginger tea and no exceptions, don’t set the heating pad higher than the third level, get some sleep and don’t nap for more than an hour in order to not disrupt your sleep schedule, etc.
• Leo Whitefang
  • Like Ky, he’s going to see that you aren’t feeling well, and he’s going to drop everything to help you.
  • He will give you his coat because it’s warm.
  • He will cuddle with you and get you some things that you need. Heating pad, tea, water, pain meds, you name it.
  • He likes to hold you close and tell you that you’ll feel better soon.
• Nagoriyuki
  • He can tell your period started from the moment it does begin. He’s a vampire so the blood will set something off for him.
  • He’s been alive for an incredibly long time, so he probably knows exactly what would work for you.
  • There are times where his methods might seem archaic, but they work really well for some reason.
  • He’s always incredibly gentle with you, but now even more so.
  • He will find as many ways as possible to keep you warm.
• Giovanna
  • She gets it. She hears you cursing your body in the bathroom and sends Rei in.
  • You step out of the bathroom and she picks you up bridal style and takes you to either the couch or the bed.
  • “I get it, here, I’ll get some more stuff while I’m out today,” she’ll say.
  • She keeps a heating pad right next to her bed. She gets back pain from various fighting and sometimes on her period too.
  • She’ll make Rei stay with you. You appreciate the cuddles from the spirit wolf, she’s probably just as warm and snuggly as any dog and then some. Also, the warmth from Rei does alleviate the cramps some.
  • When she returns home with tea and chocolate, you two, three if you count Rei, cuddle together all warm and cozy. Suddenly, the cramps don’t seem so bad anymore.
• Anji Mito
  • The second you aren’t as jovial as you were yesterday, Anji can guess what’s happening.
  • He’ll stay with you, and he’ll only leave to get things you need.
  • He likes taking care of you, but he doesn’t like to see you suffer.
  • He remembers helping Baiken with this sort of thing, and he knows what he’s doing. He also realizes that you (most likely) aren’t as tough as Baiken.
  • This man is also incredibly understanding, if you need to cry or shout about it, he’ll let you.
• I-no
  • Okay, she knows what’s up. Even though she likes to go places, and not stay in one spot too long, she’ll stay with you.
  • She will teleport to get the things you need (and she’ll most likely shoplift them because she can and fuck the tax that is put on the AFAB body to manage a thing we can’t control).
  • She’ll play you some songs on the guitar if you like that sort of thing. Sleep is important. 
  • She’ll begrudgingly cuddle you, but she really appreciates it afterwards.
  • Might tell you to toughen up if you two need to move because she’s a criminal.
• Jack-O’
  • You will be sharing chocolate with her.
  • She knows what you need just by looking at you.
  • You can cuddle with her, but she has no idea what you’re supposed to do.
  • She’s very gentle, caring for you. 
• Goldlewis Dickinson
  • He doesn’t get it, and probably gets grossed out by periods because he’s an American man. 
  • He’ll make sure you’re taken care of, but any form of real affection in this regard is going to have to wait until he comes home from work.
  • He’s going to make sure you’re all stocked up with the things you need.
  • He will not want to talk about it. He can hear very gruesome descriptions of battles and such, but a little bit of discussion on the menstrual cycle will most likely make him want to puke.
• Testament
  • Their succubi have to tell them what is happening.
  • If you’re nonbinary/transmasc and get dysphoria, they’ll let you vent about it because they understand dysphoria. 
  • “Funnily enough, I just bought some new tea today, maybe we could try it together. The vendor did say it had anti-inflammatory properties” You two will drink tea together and your pain won’t feel as bad.
  • They’ll hold you close and it feels safe. You two are cuddling together a fair bit.
  • If you feel well enough, a nice stroll together is in order, if not they will not leave your side.
• Happy Chaos
  • You will tell him that you’re getting your period, and when it happens, he’s already forgotten and he’s confused as to why you’re groaning in pain.
  • You explain it to him again, and he somewhat starts to understand.
  • As much as he loves chaos, entertainment, and drama, he can’t really understand why he hates seeing you in pain.
  • If you experience back pain and his car has butt/back warmers, you two are driving together for hours.
  • He’ll be a bit more cuddly than normal.
  • He, like I-no, will get you the things you need and will shoplift to get them, less because fuck the patriarchy, but more because he doesn’t exactly understand that he has to pay for stuff.
  • You will have to share the chocolate.
• Baiken
  • She’s going to tell you to toughen up. “You can’t let an organ the size of–I don’t know–a passport determine your fate.”
  • If you’re dealing with cramps, she’ll toss you a heating pad that’s probably already on and set to a way too hot temperature.
  • “Look, I get that it sucks. It sucks for me too.” She will say that to you if you complain.
  • Sorry, but no cuddles from her. She’s just not that type of person.
  • However, if you’re taking a nap due to the fatigue, she’s going to give you a rare soft smile.
• Johnny 
  • He’s going to see you curled up in pain, half crying from the cramps, and he’s going to run out onto the deck of the ship practically screaming for help.
  • The Jellyfish pirates are very quick to help him, especially May. They are going to give him all of the tips and tricks that they’ve got.
  • He’s going to return with all of the things you could need and then some. 
  • If you end up falling asleep, he’s going to stay there with you, leaving one of the Jellyfish pirates in charge.
• Bridget
  • While she might not experience periods herself, she’s heard enough to know how much they can be awful.
  • Will practically panic when she sees you in pain.
  • You two are cuddling all day, she’s giving you one of those heating pads that you can velcro around yourself and can use on your back or for cramps. Also, she likes the warmth too.
  • You two would drink some tea together.
• Asuka
  • While most of his scientific studies are dedicated to magic and to physics, he does know a lot about biology.
  • He can use a little bit of magic to ease the pain, and it does work.
  • He spends most of the time taking care of you, making sure you rest, eat, drink enough water, and take any necessary medication.
  • He’ll look at you with the most gentle gaze you’ve ever seen him give anyone other than Sol or Jack-O’
  • You can lay there with your head in his lap and he will stroke your hair. It feels nice and you could just fall asleep there.
• Elphelt Valentine
  • “Oh no! Are you okay?”
  • She is going to panic a lot over seeing you in pain.
  • She is hopelessly in love, and she wants to help you. Just give her a list of the things you need, she’ll nod and get them and return as swiftly as possible.
  • You two are going to cuddle together, and she’s going to squeeze you so tightly that you are distracted from the cramps and the headaches.
• A.B.A.
  • You’re probably in some poly thing with her and Paracelsus or she divorced him.
  • As insane as she is, she still loves you deeply.
  • You are getting everything you need, and for whatever reason it’s popping out of a strange alternate dimension.
  • She will cling to you until you feel better.

What was the first kiss with each of the GGST characters like?

• Sol Badguy
• It was probably on a small date, stargazing or something of the like.
• He’s surprisingly gentle.
• His hand probably would hold half your face if he let himself just put it against you.
• He’d hold your waist most likely as well.
• He’d give you a rare, meaningful smile as well.
• Ky Kiske
• It would probably be a quick peck just before he had to leave to do kingly things.
• Afterwards, he’d quickly turn away to hide his blush.
• You’d most likely have to chase him down if you want a proper kiss.
• Once you finally chase him down to get that proper kiss, He embraces you and it’s like he doesn’t want to let you go.
• May
• It probably was a dare from one of the other Jellyfish Pirates.
• It was most likely a quick peck on the lips or the cheek.
• Right after, she’d hide her face in her hands. She’d either be glued to her spot on the ground or she’d run away in embarrassment.
• You have to tell her that you didn't mind it multiple times before she'd believe it.
• Axl Low
• You two would be walking together down the city street and come across a bridge overlooking a beautiful blue river.
• You two would stand on the side, hands on the railing, admiring the view.
• Axl would slowly inch closer to you, eventually taking your hand.
• His kiss is gentle, but urgent. It’s as if he’s trying to convey all of his feelings for you in a second because he doesn’t know if you’ll see him again because of his powers with time.
• When you two finally break apart, he’d smile at you. You loved looking into his blue eyes.
• Chipp Zanuff
• You two are probably walking in a park at night, just appreciating the nice path and the lamps.
• You’d have to say something along the lines of “I would like to kiss you” to get him to understand your wishes.
• He would easily unzip the thing that he wears to cover his face and he’d grab your arms.
• The kiss is almost aggressive in nature, but you don’t seem to mind it.
• When it stops, he’s blushing. He’s trying and failing to zip up his face covering thing again to hide it.
• Potemkin
• You two would be walking in the forest, ready to sit down and have a picnic, just admiring the sound of the birds chirping and the beautiful nature.
• He probably brought some of his art supplies with him, and he’ll share with you.
• He’d gently hold your shoulder and just look at you. He doesn’t want to lean in because he’s worried about hurting you.
• You might have to basically climb on top of him to get that kiss, but it’s worth it.
• It’s gentle and passionate. You can feel the love that he has for you just from this little moment that doesn’t seem to last long enough.
• Faust
• You two would most likely be cuddling together on the couch, watching a movie or some crappy med drama (think Grey’s Anatomy, Scrubs, or House M.D.).
• He’s still wearing that paper bag on his head.
• You’re a little restless because you want to kiss him, but don’t know how to go about it.
• He guesses what you’re thinking and wraps you into his arms.
• He places his face on the top of your head, and you feel something like a kiss.
• You don’t know what you were expecting but it was and wasn’t that all at the same time.
• Millia Rage
• You two are taking a walk on a sunny day, appreciating the chirping birds and the warm sunlight. 
• You two might find a bench and sit there together, just talking about the world.
• As you talk, Millia goes quiet, just looking at you and smiling. She’s observing every single one of your features.
• You notice her almost sudden quiet and ask her what’s wrong.
• “Nothing, nothing, just admiring you is all.”
• When you lean in a little, she goes most of the way.
• It’s a sweet moment, she wraps her arms around your neck, pulling you close to her. You both want to savor this moment for as long as possible.
• Zato
• Any rules about body language go out the window here.
• You two would probably be walking in a botanical garden together. He’s amazing you with all of the things he knows about flowers and floriography (the language of flowers).
• You’d take him into the section of the garden where it’s just roses and tulips.
• You point to the red rose, knowing its symbolism fully well, but you wanted to hear him say it. You’d tell him that it’s a red rose you're pointing at.
• “Red roses, romantic love.”
• He’s gotten the hint at this point. He wraps one arm around your waist and cups your cheek with his other hand. 
• It’s a gentle kiss, but it’s weirdly beautiful. He smiles afterwards and chuckles softly, saying, “I bet you’re as red as that rose right now. Your cheek is warm.”
• Ramlethal Valentine
• You are introducing her to spaghetti because she said she was curious about trying some more food that is popular among humans. Burgers can only keep her happy for so long.
• You made a large batch of spaghetti with homemade tomato sauce and some parmesan and mozzarella.
• You grabbed a pair of forks and are eating it together.
• You two have your Lady-and-the-Tramp moment and kiss for a second.
• “What was that?” she asked, “I…liked it.”
• Leo Whitefang
• You know that he wants to kiss you because he’s more strangely physically clingy than usual.
• You’d be walking together at night and it’s cold, so he’d give you his coat.
• He’d look at you with an arm wrapped around your waist and say. “You look so cute in my coat.”
• He’d spin you around and give you that kiss you both want.
• You’d wrap your arms around each other in an embrace.
• His beard tickles a little against your face.
• Nagoriyuki
• He’s a little bit confused as to how you saw the fangs and didn’t immediately run, screaming for the hills, but he appreciates that you seem to like spending time with him.
• He found a meadow somewhere and took you there at night to stargaze.
• It’s a beautiful spot with wildflowers, and you can hear the chirping of crickets.
• The stars are beautiful too. Nagoriyuki is able to point each constellation out and tell you its story.
• As the night goes on, it gets colder so you lean into Nagoriyuki. He’ll wrap his arm around you, pull you in and kiss you. It’s a gentle thing, and you both seem to like it.
• Nagoriyuki has the most serene smile on his face as you both go back to looking at the stars.
• Giovanna
• You two would most likely be hiking together in the woods, with Rei bounding about off-leash.
• She’d hold your hand unless you need it to climb things and such.
• When you two reach the top of a boulder or a peak, she’ll wrap her arms around your neck and kiss you.
• It’s a nice kiss in every regard.
• Suddenly Rei jumps in between you two demanding attention. Most likely knocking you down to the ground.
• You laugh it off as Giovanna extends a hand to you, helping you up.
• Anji Mito
• You two would be dancing together at home with good music playing through a speaker.
• On this playlist you two are listening to, a slow, romantic song starts playing.
• Anji is in tune with the music, dancing accordingly, gracefully approaching you.
• When he eventually reaches you, he holds you in a way akin to a waltz.
• You two dance together, him taking the lead.
• As the music reaches a crescendo, he dips you and kisses you, all in time with the music.
• I-no
• You two would be on the run from the law, making your way through winding city streets in the middle of the night.
• You would slip off into an alley to escape some cops.
• She’d laugh quietly and say, “that was exhilarating!”
• She’d put her hands on your shoulders and kiss you.
• It’s nothing more than a peck, but it makes your heart soar.
• Jack-O’ Valentine
• You two would be sitting together, drinking hot cocoa.
• She would smile at you.
• You'd put your hand on her cheek and lean in just enough for her to sort of get the hint.
• The kiss is a gentle and almost serene moment. It feels like it’ll last forever, but it’s over in about two seconds.
• Goldlewis Dickinson
• You two would be on a date with him to some restaurant. It’s a nice date.
• You two would go to walk through a park together. Eventually you would come across a bench and sit down.
• He would wrap his arm around you. You’d cuddle into him and kiss him.
• He reciprocates, and when you finally pull away, you place your foreheads together.
• Testament
• You are going on a stroll together, appreciating the scenery. It’s a beautiful day with the sun shining, birds chirping, not too hot or cold.
• You would maybe be holding hands together, drinking out of your own thermoses of tea (or coffee if that’s what you prefer).
• “You look quite stunning in the dappled sunlight” they’d say to you.
• You’d take their hands, look into their eyes and smile. They’d look at you and start to lean in, not a lot to be awkward if rejected, but enough to convey the message.
• When you lean in too, they put one of their hands on your cheek and kiss you.
• It’s a soft kiss, one that demonstrates a lot of gentle emotions. It’s measured and refined, like Testament themself.
• Happy Chaos
• You two would be driving around. You’re enjoying the breeze in your hair and the overall freeing feeling.
• You two would at some point stop to admire the view from some scenic vista.
• You would stand together and just appreciate the beauty of the scene.
• You’d need to communicate your feelings clearly either through actions or words.
• When you two finally kiss, he seems incredibly surprised.

• How in the name of hell did you get BAIKEN to kiss you?!?!
• You came home after a rough day at work and thus was in a shitty mood.
• “The fuck’s wrong with you?” she’d ask. You’d answer honestly and you’d get the response of “toughen up.”
• You both sit there in an awkward silence for a moment, then she asks “do you need anything?”
• You answer this question with “a kiss might be nice” or something along those lines.
• She’d sigh and give you a brief, almost unceremonious peck on the cheek and go about whatever she was doing before.
• Johnny
• You two would be sitting together on the May Ship, just enjoying each other’s company, probably playing a game of cards (no stakes because May is in charge of Johnny’s income).
• After he most likely wins the game of cards, he’s going to take you to his room to show off his secret guitar collection.
• He’s going to attempt to play a song, it’s either going to be fantastic or terrible, but you’re still going to applaud.
• He’s going to sing some line about wanting to kiss someone, so you approach him and kiss him. He’ll put the guitar down safely and wrap you in an embrace.
• Bridget
• You went to one of her shows to be a supportive boyfriend/girlfriend/romantic partner and decided to surprise her backstage afterwards.
• She sees you waiting for her backstage and runs into your arms.
• You hug deeply, and on the spur of the moment, she kisses you in excitement.
• When she realizes what she’s done, she blushes and tries to hide her face in her hands.
• You assure her that it was fine, and that you liked it.
• She’ll kiss you again!
• Asuka
• You are trying to convince Asuka to take a break. You are doing everything shy of shoving the papers off of his desk and taking the pen out of his hands.
• Finally you slip in front of him and kiss him.
• He drops the pen and the papers he was holding in shock.
• When you finally pull away, he looks at you with a bewildered expression on his normally stoic face.
• Suddenly, he wraps his arms around your shoulders, pulling you in for another kiss.
• Elphelt Valentine
• You two are on some date that she suggested.
• She’s practically dancing the whole time, humming a tune to herself.
• When you two come to the proper moment, you look lovingly into each other’s eyes. As much as she wants to ramble, she doesn’t want to ruin the moment.
• You two kiss, it’s passionate and sweet. It’s everything you’d expect from the lovesick Elphelt and then some.
• When you two finally break apart, her eyes light up.
• She starts on one of her silly little sprees of excitement gushing about how happy she is that you finally kissed her.
• A.B.A
• Again, divorced Paracelsus or worked out some poly thing applies here.
• It would take her a while to feel comfortable kissing anyone that wasn’t Paracelsus (did they ever kiss? I have no idea).
• She’d wrap herself around you because she doesn’t want to lose you.
• The kiss itself would be passionate and hungry. It feels full of lust rather than love. 
• It almost seems like she wants to absorb you.
• “My beloved, we have all the time in the world.”

What is cuddling with each of the GGST characters like?

• Sol Badguy
• Assuming you are cuddling in bed, he has one hand behind his head and the other arm is wrapped around your back. 
• He squeezes you closer to him occasionally.
• If you were cuddling on the couch, he has an arm around your shoulder and you two would be leaning your heads together.
• He would stay by your side until either you needed to leave or fall asleep.
• Should you fall asleep while you’re cuddling with Sol on the couch, he would let your head fall to his lap. He’d still have an arm draped across your shoulder, but his other hand would go to stroke your hair.
• If he falls asleep while cuddling you, feel free to just nestle closer to him.
• Ky Kiske
• When you two are cuddling in bed, you two just spoon the whole time.
• He is the big spoon. There’s no debating with him on this.
• He likes to whisper sweet nothings in your ear.
• He’ll hug you close.
• When you two cuddle on the couch, he has both of his arms wrapped around you in an awkward hug, but neither of you seem to mind.
• If you fall asleep while cuddling together, Ky will hold you to his chest.
• If he falls asleep while you are cuddling together, he’ll curl up into your lap.

• If you two are cuddling in bed, she’ll curl up at your side.
• She likes to nestle into your side and she likes to feel safe.
• Cuddling with her is just an extended bear hug.
• Should you be cuddling on a couch, she’ll swing her legs over yours and hug you. HUG HER BACK!
• If you somehow manage to fall asleep while cuddling in this eternal bear hug that is sure to leave your ribs bruised, she’s going to relax her hug and bring you down closer to her level so she can appreciate your beauty.
• If she falls asleep, you will feel the hug relax. She’ll sleepily curl up into you.

• When you two are cuddling in bed, he likes to face you.
• He loves the way you nestle into him.
• He likes to kiss the top of your head and tell you how much he loves you.
• When you two are cuddling on the couch, there’s a specific way you nest your head into his collarbone that he really likes.
• Either way, he likes to stroke your hair.
• If he falls asleep while you two are cuddling, you’d move his long hair out of his face and let him lean on you.
• If you fall asleep while cuddling, he chuckles and will give you his jacket to act like a blanket because he doesn’t want to move. He just wants to appreciate your beauty and serenity as you sleep.
• Chipp Zanuff
• If you two are cuddling in bed, he just likes to squeeze you close to him.
• He will only let up if you say he’s actively hurting you.
• He’s lost a lot of people that he’s loved over the years. He’s just scared of losing you.
• He likes when you put your head on his chest.
• If you’re cuddling on the couch together, he’ll insist that you practically sit on top of him so he can hold you close.
• If he falls asleep while you’re cuddling him, you don’t want to leave him.
• If you fall asleep while cuddling, he’ll quickly and softly readjust you so you have your head in his lap.
• He likes to stroke your hair and show more gentle acts of affection when you’re sleeping.

Chapter Text

You looked out of the windows of the Illyrian palace into the training grounds. Your beloved Leo was training against some robots he had set up to fight. They weren’t going easy on him, but he was such a force to be reckoned with that you weren’t concerned. You could hear his swords clanging against the metal of the training bots and his grunts of frustration. Something seemed amiss now, yet you couldn’t put your finger on as to why. You heard a sudden slashing of fabric and rushed down to the training grounds, Leo didn’t shout the command word to get the robots to stop.

He continued fighting the robots. You could see the sweat dripping off of his face. He turned around and you saw that the coat he always wore was practically shredded. You could see some cuts in his back. However, you couldn’t tell how deep they were. You could see dripping blood. You saw that Leo was starting to falter, getting knocked to his knees more frequently and taking longer to get up each time. One robot slashed at Leo, but he parried. He was still having trouble shoving the robot off of him. Another approached from behind, ready to strike for the kill. In a fit of fear, you shouted the command word to get them to stop. All of the robots shut down.

Leo looked around him in shock as the robots all stopped moving and tumbled to the ground in a clangor of metal against dry dirt and stone. He turned around and looked at you. His expression was a mixture of anger, surprise, and hurt.

“What? Why did you do that? I almost had them!” He exclaimed at you. He took a deep breath and pursed his lips, like he was trying to block out pain.

“Leo, are you hurt?” you asked, knowing the answer you would get full well.

“No, I’m fine,” he answered.

“Is something otherwise wrong? I can tell.”

“No, there’s nothing wrong. I’m just annoyed that you shut off the robots.”

“I can understand that, but you need to take care of yourself. I was watching you, you know, and I saw one of them sneak up behind you. It was about to put its sword through your back. I’m not going to stand by and watch my beloved boyfriend get stabbed by training bots.”

“I appreciate your concern, but if I get stabbed by them, then it’s a sign that my time is done.”

Suddenly, he tumbled down to his knees. He was groaning in pain. The cuts were bleeding again, and you could see the blood dripping down.

“Oh shit!” you whispered. You called loudly for help and eventually, Ky came running out to see what was the trouble.

“Ky! Leo’s hurt himself with the training bots, can you help me get him to our room?”

A certain dark air played on his face. You didn’t have the mental energy to process or analyze it right now. All you cared about was making sure Leo was safe and on his way to a speedy recovery.

It was a great effort to heave him up the stairs and place him in bed so you could get a healer. All the while, Leo was protesting, saying that he was strong enough. When you got him into bed, he refused to let you go. You conceded, and made Ky get the healer. You couldn’t bear to see Leo in this state, bruised and bloody.

“What happened?” you practically cried into his hand, “What were you thinking?”

It felt odd to cry this way. You knew he was going to be okay, but it still felt like you were at his deathbed. The thought of him dying just made you cry more. Leo sighed and put his hand on your cheek, wiping the tears away with his thumb.

“I’m sorry, just got a little carried away,” he said, “I won’t let it happen again.”

“Can you tell me why in the first place?” you asked, “I’ve noticed you training more and more, putting a greater and greater strain on yourself. Did I do anything to affect this?”

“No, you didn’t, (name).”

He looked downcast and away from you. It was like he was disappointed in himself.

“What aren’t you telling me, Leo?” you asked in a pleading tone.

He opened his mouth and closed it again.

“Answer me, dammit,” you grumbled just loud enough for you two to hear it.

Ky opened the door and entered with the healer. He spoke to the healer and beckoned you to follow him. You glanced back at your boyfriend and back at him. He gestured more aggressively. You sighed and kissed Leo on the forehead. You two exited the room and he closed the door.

“What did you need to tell me?” you asked, crossing your arms.

“You see, (name), according to Daryl, Leo’s been acting this way for a long time. However, these behaviors appear to be getting worse,” he said, “I know that this could be worrisome, but the healer will do their best to heal these current physical wounds.”

“What caused these behaviors to begin in the first place?” you asked. However, you felt like you knew the answer.

“Just after the Crusades,” he said monotonously, “have you read the reports from that day?”

You nodded. You had read that report. It discussed how Leo had been leading a battalion into what was really just a death march into a bunch of gears. Nearly everyone with him died that day. The survivor’s guilt was probably racking him crazily. How come it was manifesting like this? Why was he training practically to the death every day? What was he trying to achieve? That last question made your thoughts spiral in a way that you didn’t want them to.

“Ky, please,” you pleaded, “what can I do to prevent him from…doing that to himself?”

Ky sighed and looked off into the distance.

“Truth is,” he said, “I don’t know. I think the best thing you can do is be by his side.”

You nodded. The healer stepped out and whispered to Ky. You walked back into the room to see Leo all bandaged up. He was looking glum, but at least pleased to see you walking towards him. You sat in the bed beside him, and he reached out to you. He pulled you into him and kissed the top of your head. You laid your head on Leo’s chest and wrapped an arm around his torso, careful not to disturb the bandages.

“What’s wrong, Leo?” you asked gently.

“I shouldn’t worry you about my problems, especially if they’re ones that I created for myself,” he responded.

“I won’t push you, but I won’t know how to help you unless I know what’s gotten you in this state.”

“I don’t want to talk about it. It just makes the feelings worse.”

You understood. It was difficult to open up about the things that hurt you.

“Like I said, I won’t push you to talk about it if you truly don’t want to.”

“I’ll tell you when I feel ready, okay?”

“Okay. I just want to help you, Leo, and I promise that I’ll love you and stay by your side regardless of what you’ve done or think you did.”

“(Name), what did I do to deserve such a wonderful partner like you?”

You chuckled, “I could ask myself the same thing, handsome.”

He smiled at you and kissed you. You two placed your foreheads together, Leo was still smiling softly.

“I’ll make sure your coat is fixed and your wounds heal,” you said finally.

“Alright, in the meantime, while I recover,” Leo said, “will you make good on your word?”

“Through wounds and scars both physical and mental, my king.”

You wake up from a nightmare and the GGST characters comfort you.

  • You practically scream as you wake up, clutching the blankets to your chest.
  • Sol is startled awake by your screams and slowly turns around wondering what the fuck all the fuss is about.
  • He’ll be a little annoyed that you woke him up over a stupid nightmare, but if you seem really distressed, he’ll try his best to comfort you.
  • The most he’ll do is pat you on the back and hug you to his chest.
  • After you’re decently calmed down, he’s going to roll over and go back to sleep.
• Ky Kiske
  • As you wake up, Ky is awake and even more alert than you are.
  • He’ll kiss you on the forehead, and let you rest your head on his chest.
  • “You aren’t going to lose me anytime soon and I’ll protect you from any harm.”
  • He’ll kiss the top of your head occasionally until either you or he falls asleep.
• May
  • She’s a deep sleeper, so if you wake up, odds are she won’t.
  • However, if she does wake up, she’s going to be all up in your face asking what’s wrong.

  • He might sway a little, hum a melody, or whisper words of endearment to you.

  • You’re mildly annoyed that he just told you to go use the bathroom. However, sure enough, your brain just needed you to wake up to take a piss.
  • However, you couldn’t get the images in the nightmare out of your mind.

  • Faust doesn’t like to be woken up because “sleep…important”

  • She might mildly cuss under her breath about being woken up.
  • Be sure to avoid her hair in case it goes into weapon mode.
  • You’ll be up for explaining why she’s awake at an ungodly hour.
  • When you tell her that it was just a nightmare, she’ll cross one arm around her torso and have the other extended out. It’s an invitation for you to cuddle with her.

  • When you start awake, he’s going to rush to your aid because normal humans don’t wake up at ungodly hours of the night unless disturbed.

  • Once you explain that it was just a particularly disturbing nightmare, she’ll just go “ah” and get ready for work. However, she’ll thank Rei for comforting you.

  • If you can’t convince him to just go back to sleep, he’ll turn on the dim lamp and put on his glasses so he can look at you clearly.

  • Once he feels you’re significantly soothed, or you fall back asleep, he’ll take off his glasses and turn out the light.

  • If his mildly gravelly voice doesn’t soothe you, he’ll say “you must be really spooked, huh?”
  • He’s confused as to why he has a visceral reaction to the fact that you’re distressed, but he chalks it up to his constantly changing likes and dislikes.
  • If you are startled to full wakefulness, he’ll suggest you go on a drive together and just relax a bit.

  • He’ll ask what happened, and once you say that it was a nightmare, Johnny will reciprocate your affection.
  • “I’m no stranger to those things. They really mess with the head, don’t they?”
  • Together, in each other’s arms, you ward off the other’s nightmares for the rest of the night.

  • She likes to nap, so she doesn’t really sleep as much at night.
  • When you wake up, she’ll snuggle up to you and ask what’s wrong.
  • When she understands that it was a nightmare, she’ll hug you with all of her might.
  • She might ruffle your hair a little if you’re really upset.
  • She’ll give you Roger for the night to ward off any further nightmares.
• Asuka
  • He’ll start to drift awake when you’ve been up for about five minutes.
  • He’ll ask why you’re awake at such an hour.
  • “Ah, nightmares. One of the worst things that plague the human mind.”
  • He’ll stroke your hair and maybe grab a book so he can read to you.
  • His voice is incredibly soporific. You’re back to a peaceful and sound slumber in minutes.
  • He’ll smile at your sleeping form and wonder how he got lucky enough to find someone who’d love him and trust him enough to come to him with problems.
• Elphelt Valentine
  • She’ll be muttering to herself about something or other and you when you wake up in a cold sweat.
  • She’ll cuddle up to you and tell you about how much she loves you and would never leave you. You signed that certificate.
  • Despite being incredibly high-energy in the daylight hours, she’s very soft and quiet at night.
  • When you explain that you had a nightmare, she’ll squeeze you even tighter and whisper out some line about love that you’ll hear in a Speothos Venaticus song soon enough.
• A.B.A
  • “What troubles you, dear?”
  • She’s a Homunculus, so she doesn’t experience sleep or dreams in the same way we do. 
  • You have to explain to her what happened in your dream and hence why you’re terrified.
  • Once she understands this, she’ll wrap herself around you.
  • “Don’t worry, dearest. Nothing will ever come in between me and my love for you.”

Chapter Text

When Faust stumbled through the door, you knew he was tired. Sure, he normally carried himself with an almost zombie-like demeanor, but today his gait was usually lumbering and unsteady. He slumped off to his at-home office, not saying a word. You looked at the clock, he was home way earlier than usual. Sighing, you turned the stove off and checked the timer on the oven, it read about fifteen minutes left. You’ve got plenty of time to talk to him so that’s what you were going to do.

You knocked on the door and he opened it. He towered over you, slouching, leaning against his massive scalpel like a cane. He cocked his head, begging you to ask the question nagging in your mind. The ruby-red glow of his one visible eye spurred you on. With others, he would have been intimidating. You’ve seen plenty of people run away from him, or scoot to the other side of the bar when you walk in. One person even got into a fight with him while you were in the bathroom that one time in a pub. However, despite all that, you loved him and would do anything to make him feel happy, healthy, and safe.

“Is there something wrong?” you asked, “Did something happen today?”

He nodded ever so subtly, “happen, yes.”

He invited you into his office. It was a calming space. There was some fragrance in the air that made you feel almost woozy with how strong it was. However, you doubted that Faust could even barely smell it because of the paper bag he wore over his head. The scent was emitting from an air freshener attached to the small desk fan. There were chairs in front of and behind the desk. A pair on either side. In the corner was also a cushy recliner of brown leather, supple from years of use. 

You sat down in the chair beside Faust behind the desk. He put his elbows on the desk and his face in his hands. The room filled with the sound of crinkling paper as he squished that paper bag he always wore. It hid any sign of his face, yet you could seem to guess what his face was expressing.

“Tired,” he whispered into his gloved hands.

“Why are you tired?” You asked gently, putting a hand on his back, rubbing it gently. The thin, linen-like material of his scrubs seemed to soothe you both. Yet, he still looked like he was about to cry, and you definitely didn’t want to see that. You hated the thought of Faust being under so much stress that it could bring him to tears.

“Patient…non-cooperative.”

“I see, are they coming back to your office soon? I could help you in the meantime discuss it with you. As long as you do so in a way that respects their privacy and follows all of the rules.”

He nodded and explained the situation in his rambling way. You’ve been with him long enough to understand what he was trying to say even if words were skipped or in an odd ordering. According to Faust, the patient he’d been treating earlier that day had been coming in once or twice a week with the same issue. He’d given every piece of medical advice he could, but it didn’t seem like they were listening to him. It was just today that he finally snapped and couldn’t handle it anymore. He left the patient in his office and came home. Obviously, he couldn’t discuss what exactly was wrong with the patient or majority of the advice that he gave. However, you could figure out the best way to deal with the person themself.

“I see. With an obstinate person, there’s almost no way to get through to them,” you said.

“Almost?” he responded, tilting his head to the side like a confused dog, “How to reach?”

“With this patient, I’d recommend playing into their nature. Be just as stubborn as they are yourself. Be as clear as you can that you will make sure that they take your advice. It’s the best on the market, after all. If they’ve got someone with them that can reach them quickly, make sure that they know of the situation and make sure your patient is following your advice.”

“Rules…not broken…Okay.”

“Great. You’ve got this. I love you, Faust.”

“Love you…too.”

You hugged him and he patted you on the head. With that, the oven beeped.

“Carbon monoxide…bad” he warned.

“Yep, besides, I’m hungry too,” you said.

You chuckled and went to grab dinner out of the oven. You two sat together outside on the terrace. It was a beautiful evening, the sun setting at just the right angle over the city skyline. As you two appreciated the good meal, the sunset, and each other, everything felt right in the world. You glanced over at your boyfriend eating the meal you had made. You watched as he clasped his fingers together and looked at you. He seemed to smile from under that paper bag. He reached out and extended a hand to you, which you took. Appreciating your life once more as you held his hand, you smiled. You had the feeling that maybe, just maybe, Faust’s bad day wasn’t so bad anymore.

• He’s going to ask you why you’re so upset. You tell him in all honesty.
• He’ll ask you if you need anything to feel better.
• You just ask for a hug and he obliges.
• He just holds you against him with one arm, squeezing you a little.
• He might put his chin on top of your head.
• He doesn’t realize how small you are in comparison to him until you are wrapped in his arm.
• Ky Kiske
• He likes to gently hug you when you come home from work.
• It’s more of a “welcome home” than a “consoling you” hug.
• He knows something is off when you start crying a little into his chest.
• He squeezes you enough to make you feel comforted, but not too tightly.
• Ky will let you rant about your day while hugging you if that makes you feel better.
• If you start crying, he’s the type of person to pat your back when you hug.
• May
• May is always incredibly excited when you come home from work.
• She’ll nearly tackle you with a hug every time, which you don’t always reciprocate.
• However, when you reciprocate this “welcome back” hug, and squeeze her almost as tightly as she’s squeezing you, she knows something is up.
• She’ll beg you to tell her so she can adequately comfort you.

• When you come home, he’s still out doing whatever Axl Low does with his free time.
• When he returns, he finds you sitting on the couch. A plate of dinner sitting in front of you, now cold.
• He’ll sit beside you and ask what’s the problem. He’ll do this while having an arm wrapped around your shoulder.
• Once you start talking about your day, you rest your head on his chest. He’ll embrace you with his other arm.

• When you come home, he practically teleports behind you and hugs you from behind.
• When you start crying, he’s really confused. He thinks he might’ve hurt you with his hug.
• “Shit, what happened? Did I do something wrong?”
• You’ll have to tell him that he didn’t do anything wrong and that you just had a really bad day at work.
• He’ll turn you around so you face him. He’ll take one look at your face and squeeze you into him.
• He sort of hunches over, so you end up bending backwards slightly.

• You’ll go to find him and, being the excellent doctor that he is, will guess what’s wrong and try his best to help you.

• You two come home at about the same time. She got a really good bounty, and you just had the crappiest day of work in your life.

• Once he’s come to terms with the confession, and that he likes you in return, he’ll reach out a hand and say, “Well then, why don’t we go on a date?” with a gentle smile.
• Ky Kiske
• He blushes incredibly easily, so you know he likes you back from those pink cheeks, and the way he tries to hide it.
• He’ll try to pass his blushing off as something else because he’s a little concerned about his image.
• When he’s sure no one’s around, he’ll take your hand and ask you if you’d like to go on a date sometime.
• May
• Trying to be able to confess to her is difficult because you have to drag her away from the other Jellyfish pirates.
• When you two find a spot that is free from prying eyes, she’s confused. She’s fantasized about someone asking her out for years, but she never thought it would happen.
• When you tell her that you like her, she’s going to blush and maybe squeal a little.

• She gives herself time to process the news by taking off her hat and fluffing it a little with an unreadable expression.

• “Well then, let’s make this official, shall we?”

• Since you were the one who confessed first, he pulls something out from behind his back. It’s a bouquet of honeysuckle, dahlias, and red roses.
• Without saying a word, he’ll point out the card he’d tied to the stems. It’s a little guide on what each of the flowers mean. Honeysuckles symbolize affection and devotion, dahlias symbolize commitment, and we all know what red roses mean.
• “This is my way of saying I like you too,” he’ll say.
• He’ll smile and blush a little.
• Ramlethal Valentine
• You’re cooking her burgers, and she asks you why you’re doing so.
• You, trying to hide your blush tell her you wanted to make some special food for the two of you.
• When they’re ready, you two sit together and eat the burgers (they’re good, you’ve really outdone yourself).
• When Ramlethal tells you that she likes them, you whisper under your breath that you like her, but she absolutely heard you.
• “I’m confused by this feeling, but I think it would be a form of liking. I like you too.”

• He’s a boisterous, loud, and proud man. However, when you tell him, his whole demeanor becomes softer.

• When you tell him that you like him, his eyes go wide and a smile creeps onto his face.

• She offered to pick you up after work to get you home.
• Rei’s in the backseat, and you’re in the passenger seat.
• Just as you two pull up to your apartment building or house, she bids you goodnight and Rei licks your face a little.
• When you tell her you like her, she blushes and looks the other way. However, Rei bounds out and jumps on you and starts licking your face more.
• “Ha, Rei, down. I like you too. I’ll pick you up tomorrow after work, alright?”

• He’ll take you out to some bar to get drinks together.
• When you two have consumed sufficient alcohol, he takes you to a club and you two dance together.

• He covers his mouth and smiles. He looks like he’s about to cry.

• They blush and their succubi are swooning in the corner, making little chit-chat noises between them.

• They say this as they take their top-hat off and bow their head slightly.

• When you tell him, he’ll look off into the distance briefly.
• He hasn’t had anybody tell him that they genuinely like him in a romantic sense in a long time.
• “Well you’re a gem/stud. I don’t know why you’d want me, but I’ll take it.”
• He’s not much of a blusher and he hides his eyes behind his sunglasses.
• When he looks back at you, he takes off his hat and sunglasses, and offers you a hand.

• When you tell her, she quickly tries to hide her blushing face and her squeal of happiness into her hands.
• When she looks at you again, her face is bright red and she’s smiling brightly. Those doleful green eyes!
• She takes your hand and almost starts running.

• She’s just a bundle of joy for a long time after that.

• It’s nearly impossible to distract him from his studies, but when you two finally get some time together, he’s confused as to why you’d even want to spend quality time with him.

It’s been a long day at work for you and all you want to do is just get home. You looked at the clock, 7 PM. This meeting has been dragging on and on. You could be considered overtime now. You’ve started to tune out the talk of stocks and growth and budget and tune your thoughts into thinking of your boyfriend. He’d surely be at home right now, wondering where you were. You thought of stepping out to call him, but you didn’t want to seem unprofessional.

“So that’s what we have to do by the end of next quarter,” you heard the man running the meeting say, “wow, that went on way later than expected. Go home, I’ll make sure you’re compensated for your time.”

You let out a sigh of relief as you stepped out of the meeting room. You heard your phone ring in your pocket as you started walking towards the elevator. It was your boyfriend, Potemkin, calling you. You picked up instantly.

“Hey,” you said, “impeccable timing, by the way.”

“Hey,” he answered, “still stuck at work?”

“Yeah, the meeting I was in finally finished. I’m on my way home now.”

“Actually, I was hoping you’d meet me at that restaurant we were thinking about going to for a bit. You know, that one by the book store with really good sketchbooks and such.”

“Of course, I can be there in about ten minutes, I’ll meet you there.”

“Great, I can’t wait to see you.”

“I love you Potemp.”

“I love you too.”

You quickly caught the next elevator and went down to the ground floor. You turned right out of the office building and started heading to the restaurant. You got there in about five minutes. You looked at the bookstore next to the restaurant. You had plenty of time to get him a little gift. His most recent sketchbook was almost full. You walked in and were bombarded with the smell of old books, a favorite smell of yours, reminding you of fond memories with Potemkin. You found the sketchbooks. You saw that they were organized by size. 4 by 6, 6 by 8, 9 by 12, and so on. The largest you saw were 24 by 48 inches! You grabbed a 12 by 16 inch sketchbook. When you leafed through it, you felt that the paper was high quality, and markers wouldn’t be likely to bleed through. Underneath the sketchbook, you saw a tough metal tin of high quality sketching pencils, a wonderful set of 24 different lead hardnesses, 12B to 10H.

You paid for the sketchbook and the pencils and told the man running the till that it was a gift for your boyfriend. He offered to wrap it with some gift wrap behind him. You said that he could and he did so. The wrapping paper was a deep turquoise. You grabbed your present for Potemkin and were about to walk out of the store and go next door to the restaurant when you bumped into someone in the doorway just as he was walking out.

“Oh shit,” you said, “sorry.”

“Hi (name), didn’t see you there.”

You look up, surprised to hear your name in the familiar voice that was Potemkin’s.

“Hey!” You chirped as he put his hand on your shoulder.

“Figured I would find you here,” he said, “what do you have there?”

“Just a surprise for you.”

Potemkin laughed. Oh, how you loved his laugh, how it could boom clearly for miles but still feel like it was only meant for you to hear and understand.

“Come on, love,” he said, “let’s go get dinner.”

You two walk together next door to the restaurant. It’s a smaller place, with booths in some corners and mostly tables for two. The space seemed to make Potemkin look way larger than usual, but the warm lighting highlighted his face, making him look especially handsome. He looked down at you, smiled, and put his hand on your back. You stepped closer to his side, wrapping your arm around as much of his waist as you could.

The hostess appeared at the podium with the computer.

“Hello there,” she said, “how many in your party?”

“Just the two of us,” Potemkin said.

“Okay, right this way.”

You two followed the hostess as she set you two to a table for two. They were booth seats near the bar. Potemkin smiled as he put his elbow on the table with his hand on his cheek.

“I wish I could draw you right now,” he said, “the way the light is catching your hair and your eyes, it’s just beautiful.”

You blushed. It wasn’t uncommon for him to start saying the most random but flirty things to you.

“That actually reminds me,” you said, “I got a little something for you!”

You handed him the wrapped gift. You could feel his excitement. He opened it, brandishing the sketchbook. The beam on his face made you lean over the table and kiss him on the cheek.

“Oh, (name), these are perfect!” he exclaimed. He put the sketchbook and the pencils down beside him and handed you a wrapped gift as well. You opened it, inside was the next book in that series that you’ve been reading and inside was a little piece of paper. It was a beautiful self-portrait that Potemkin had done and underneath the sketch, neatly written in ballpoint pen was there’s one last little thing waiting at home .

Soon enough, you ordered your food, ate it, debated on dessert, paid the check, and went home with him. On the countertop, you saw a box. It was small, it could probably fit in just the palm of your hand. You set the book down and took out the little piece of paper.

“I figured because we’re both getting stressed out about work and missing each other,” Potemkin started as you unwrapped the box.

“I thought that you, at least, deserve to have a little piece of me wherever you go.”

You opened the box, examining the piece of gold jewelry. A locket, the perfect size for that little drawing Potemkin did of himself.

“I saw it, and thought that this would be perfect.”

Next to the locket was a pair of scissors and inside was a simple glue dot, perfect for gluing that little portrait inside. You cut out the portrait and stuck it inside the locket.

“It’s beautiful, Potemp,” you said, “and you were right. It is perfect.”

You strung the golden locket about your neck. It sat at the perfect place on your body, you could easily open it up and look at your boyfriend’s handsome face.

Potemkin approached you with an arm outstretched to you. You took his hand and he spun you into him, like a dance. Effortlessly, he lifted you up, closer to his face. You loved how high up you felt in his arms. You freed an arm of yours, wrapped it around his neck, kissing him. The cool metal of your new locket was pressing into your chest. He readjusted you so he could better hold on to you and you to him. You kissed him again, putting your hand on his cheek, then in his hair.

“My work of art,” he whispered into your ear as you broke away. He admired your face, trying to memorize every detail so he could draw you from memory. 

“My beautiful, beautiful work of art.”

It was a Saturday morning. You were sleeping in and catching up on sleep that you lost during the week. You heard a knock at your door. You groaned and looked at the clock. 8:37 AM, too early for a Saturday. You heard the knock again. It was a particular rhythm that startled you, song-like in nature. It startled you. 

“Coming!” you shouted in the general direction of the door. You threw on a pair of sweatpants and a sweatshirt and answered the door. Standing before you was a man you knew quite well. The brown pants and opened jacket, revealing bluish-gray skin with orange x-shaped marks and a black and gold symbol on his chest. His long, dirty blond hair that he flipped around a little, the glasses that mirrored those x-shaped marks on his body, those expressive brown eyes lined with dark lashes (and maybe a little eyeliner? You couldn’t tell) that made you melt when he made certain expressions. You passed furtive glances to either side of the door, no one was outside. You grabbed the collar of his jacket, quickly pulled him inside, and slammed the door.

“Heya, (name)!” he said, “How are ya today?”

“I was fine until you showed your face here,” you scolded, “I was sleeping, asshole.”

“Had to come see you. I’ve got an idea of something fun to do. It’s good to see you, by the way!”

You couldn’t stay mad at him. His husky voice and charming smile made you sigh. You wrapped his arms around his waist and hugged him. The sound of his steady heartbeat and breathing brought you out of your anger. You heard him make a breathy chuckling noise and felt him reciprocate your hug. He rubbed your back a little, this little gesture of affection new but not unwelcome in your relationship. You hadn’t seen him for a few days, he’d been unreachable, not even a trace of his bright pink car or his bluish-gray skin or his orange tinted glasses.

“I missed you,” you finally admitted as you broke the hug. You had your hands on his sides. It was like you were trying to tell if he was a mirage.

He leaned over to your ear, still having an arm wrapped around your back and whispered, “I missed you too.” That gravelly voice being whispered into your ear made your legs turn to jelly. He laughed again, sweeping you into a passionate, borderline lustful kiss. You ran your fingers through his hair and stroked his horns. He put his hand on your cheek, moving your chin for a better angle. His glasses accidentally bumped your nose.

“I almost forgot what I came here to do,” he said as he pulled away. He was still making eye contact with you, his half-lidded eyes made you feel weak in the knees again. 

“Oh?” you responded with your arms still wrapped around his waist, feeling the musculature of his back.

“I wanted to take you with me on a little road trip.”

“Where would we be going? Will I need to call in sick or use a few of my vacation days?”

“Not if we leave now. Don’t worry, I already took the liberty and grabbed some extra clothes for you.”

He extended his hand out to you, the white palm exposed. You took his hand as he started to almost run to his car. You trailed behind him, laughing. When you reached his car, he opened up the doors, swung you into the passenger seat and closed the doors again. The start of the engine started your heart with excitement. You couldn’t wait to see where he was taking you. The sleek familiarity of his magenta car with the off-white upholstery made you feel safe. The breeze in your hair felt nice and cool.

After you’d been driving for a few hours, Happy Chaos groaned.

“What is it?” you asked, “is something wrong?”

“No, just need to refill the tank,” he sighed, “got a few more miles before we completely run out.”

Thankfully, there was a gas station about a mile from where you were. When you two stopped, you hopped out to stretch your legs, basking in the afternoon sun. Suddenly, your stomach rumbled. Your hands jumped to the source of the noise to try and hide it in embarrassment. However, there was no hiding anything from this man. He snapped his fingers, and in your hands, a sandwich appeared.

“Thanks!” you chirped, taking a bite. It was your favorite sandwich, with all of the toppings in the right places, and the bread was the perfect texture. The food, although simple, made you smile. His attention to detail was spot on if he wanted it to be.

“Don’t worry about it,” he responded. He walked over to you and slunk an arm around your waist, “I like having you be my reason to exist.”

There was something so confident about the way he wrapped his arms around your waist, like they were always meant to be there, or lower. Chaos rested his back on the wall next to you, as he munched on the remains of his own conjured sandwich. That almost sleazy grace he had made you feel a familiar and almost painful pang on your heart, but that pain didn’t feel bad.

“You know, (name), my sandwich making skills are great and all, but I am also well known for certain other skills,” he said, a bite of sandwich in his cheek.

“Oh really,” you respond, but your innocence is not fooling anybody, “what's that?”

“(name), (name), (name), (name), (name) , you have a really pretty face,” Happy Chaos practically cooed while he ran his finger along your cheek, hand held under your chin, provoking a blush with every speck of skin he touched.

“I-I've been told so,” you stutter out, utterly flustered and a bit shocked still at Chaos’s frankness, “you-you definitely aren't a stranger to such compliments I imagine.”

“No, but it means more coming from you, baby.”

“Well then, I-I think your hot, Chaos”

“Oh yeah, really, I bet you want to kiss me, don't you?”

“We-well, u-u-um, I suppose that would be fun.”

“Oh, there won't be much supposing soon enough, (name).”

You put your hand on his chest, and were about to lean in when suddenly, there was a click that filled the air and interrupted you. The tank was full.

“Back on the road we go,” he laughed. He opened the door for you and bowed, an unnecessarily formal gesture. You buckled up and kissed him on the cheek. You two pulled away from the gas station. You’d driven about five miles before you realized that you forgot to pay for the gas. Who cares? Gas was way too expensive nowadays anyway. As the sun started to set and clouds started to fill the sky, you heard Happy Chaos yawn.

“I know there’s a motel not too far from here, we can stop there for the night,” you said.

“Nah, you forgot your wallet remember?” he answered.

He flicked a switch and the roof to his convertible started to cover you two. Soon enough the pitter-patter of rain filled your ears. You two found a well-lit parking lot next to a grocery store and some other shops.

“I’ve got food,” Happy Chaos said, “however, why don’t we just relax for a while.”

You nodded, and Chaos slunk into the backseat and motioned for you to follow, a seductive smirk on his face. You undid your seatbelt and clambered beside him. He reclined against the door of the car. 

“You know, (name), I've been noticing the way you've been looking at me today, during our car ride,” he said, stroking your cheek again gently.

“I-I-I didn’t re-realize that you’d no-no-noticed,” you stuttered in response, taken aback by his even tone of voice. He smirked, your false obliviousness was seen right through.

“Oh, I did notice, do you want to act upon your deepest desires?” he asked.

You nodded. Happy Chaos then flipped himself over you, slowly lifting up your head towards his. His gray-bluish lips meeting yours, a fiery passion in his eyes that was almost scary, but definitely hot. The sound of the rain against the car matched your heartbeat and the light from the street lamps cast an eerie glow on his face.

He wrapped a hand around the back of your neck and pulled you up again and kissed you passionately again. His hand slipped to the back of your head, his fingers tangling in your hair, pulling it slightly. The pressure creating pleasure and a small groan seemed to be pulled from your throat. Happy Chaos chuckled in satisfaction.

“That’s sweet of you, being happy with so little,” he said, “however, I know I can do better than that. I’ll make sure my name is the only thing you know how to say.”

He quickly tossed off his jacket, revealing his sculpted shoulders, sides, and arms. The orange crosses across his body were glowing in the light. With his gloved hand, he skillfully undid the belt buckles to his holster and his pants. With the free hand he shoved his glasses to sit on his forehead and unzipped your hoodie, revealing your chest to him. He chuckled in a dark and gravelly tone and kissed you again. You tugged on his hair in a similar manner to what he did to you. He groaned into your kiss and shoved your hoodie off of your shoulders.

“Your wish is my command,” he said into your ear in a voice just above a whisper. He slowly started to move his hands down your sides to your hips. You felt the fabric of your sweatpants being dragged down your legs. Happy Chaos kissed you again, the passion palpable in every twitch of his shoulder, heave of his chest, and motion of his hands. When you pulled away, you admired his face. That smile and those eyes made your heart pang again.

“Well then,” you said to him, “make good on your word.”

You woke up the next morning wrapped in Happy Chaos’s arms. He was still sleeping, you were surprised he even slept at all. You looked around your body, covered in marks of varying size and darkness. You wormed your way up to Happy Chaos’s face. His glasses were still perched above his horns. He was so peaceful. You positioned your face next to his and kissed him on the cheek.

“Good morning,” you whispered to him when he opened his eyes and looked at you.

He smiled and kissed you softly.

“What do you wanna do?” He asked.

“We could eat, then continue driving,” you answered. He wrapped his fingers in your hair again. You rubbed his cheek with your thumb. You wished that you could provoke a blush on him the same way he did to you.

“Say no more!” He chirped as he snapped his fingers. He disappeared into a pool of bright teal, lined with black. Without him there, you almost tumbled to that spot in between the backseat and the backs of the front seats and center console. You sat back up and repositioned yourself in the passenger’s seat.

Soon enough, Happy Chaos returned with some good food and back on the road you were. You thought about the previous night and smiled. It was easily one of the best nights in your life. In Happy Chaos’s rear view mirror, you saw that you had a hickey on your neck. It was just under your jaw, but no shirt you owned would be able to hide it.

“Don’t worry about it, baby,”  he said, glancing at you, “besides, we’re almost where I wanted to take you anyway.”

He pulled over to the side of the road. You were on the side of a mountain overlooking the ocean and Illyria. The beautiful painting of whites, browns, blues, and greens mesmerized you as you got out of the car. The sea spray mixed with the mountain dust creating an interesting smell. You let out a sigh of wonderment as you stood beside Happy Chaos, both of you leaning on the railing overlooking the vista. Happy Chaos moved over to be right next to you. You couldn’t help but lean into him and he wrapped an arm around your waist. You nestled your head into his shoulder a little.

“I’m glad you took me here,” you said, “I loved every second of this trip. It’s beautiful here.”

Happy Chaos spun you around to face him, moving his glasses up to his horns. 

“I’m glad,” he said, “it’s the perfect place for me to clear the voices in my head. You do the same for me. If you ever get tired of that monologue in your head, just come here.”

He smiled and placed a hand on your cheek. He glanced at your lips and back up at your eyes. You both leaned in and kissed. It was soft and romantic. His soft hands on your cheeks and yours on his waist. It was perfect.

• He is a man of the classics. He’ll play some random song he likes that is the proper time signature and gesture out to you, offering to dance.
• He has a gentle hand.
• He doesn’t have the best sense of rhythm. You might hear him counting threes under his breath.

• He knows how to dance with another person, but not super well.
• He might hold onto you really tightly, holding you a little too close for a partner dance.
• He has a better sense of rhythm than Sol, but it’s still not great, and he won’t do anything about it.

• You’d have to teach her how to do any type of partner dance.
• You’ll be taking the lead.
• She’ll be looking at your feet the whole time, worried she’ll step on you and hurt you.
• She sways a little when she gets the hang of the dancing.
• Axl Low
• For some strange reason, this man can waltz, tango, salsa, any type of partner dance you can think of, he can do it and do it well.
• He has a near-perfect sense of rhythm and can easily lead a dance.
• He’ll hum along and harmonize with the music playing.
• He likes to add little flourishes, and is really fond of lifts.

• You once walked in on him being taught by Answer how to dance. He was quite embarrassed.

• He’s slow and lumbering.
• While his dancing has perfect rhythm, he’s always dancing at about half-tempo.
• He’ll sort of swing you around, not really resembling a real partner dance.

• She’s a good follower and a good leader depending on her mood.
• She has perfect timing and flairs to every move.
• She has a very light hold on you, it’s so light that you think she might let go of you and point-turn to the other side of the hall.

• She can samba like a god.

• We all know this man can dance. He turns partner dancing with you into a whole spectacle, complete with choreography that you’ve practiced multiple times.
• When it’s showtime, he’ll clap his hands twice, the music will begin, and he’ll count you in.
• It’s a beautiful dance, you have Anji’s full attention and he has yours.

• She’s more of a “I’ll dance with you if you come to a club with me” kind of person.
• She doesn’t know a lot of traditional partner dances, but she’s willing to learn if it makes you happy.

• She has to learn how to do any partner dance, so you teach her to waltz as it’s pretty simple.
• She gets the concept of the timing, but it takes her a while to feel comfortable with traveling around the room and not just doing the boxy steps in place.

• He’s almost the ideal partner for dancing. The only thing preventing him from being perfect is that he’s kind of big.

• They’re very cordial and sweet in how they dance, smiling softly.

• He has perfect timing and hold and is almost the ideal dance partner.
• He insists that you not add unnecessary flourishes to your dancing.

• She’s very bouncy, but her timing is really good.
• She may complain about the music, but she’ll be sure to find a song from her band that’s in 3 / 4 timing.
• She’s almost excessive in flourishes and spins, but it makes her happy. Nothing is better than seeing her smile.

• She isn’t the best dancer.
• She’s clumsy on her feet and she moves about a measure and a half ahead of the rest of the music.
• It’s difficult to get her back on tempo once she goes off of it.
• She sometimes likes to lead, and she’s actually quite good at being a leader rather than a follower when it comes to partner dancing.

• He knows every partner dance and can do any of them with near or complete perfection.
• However, he’s been alive for so long that dancing with a partner has lost a lot of its charm.
• He’ll do the steps and some flourishes, but they seem robotic or forced.
• However, when you change things up and take the lead, he looks like he’s having a lot more fun with the whole thing.

What are each of the GGST characters like as high school students and how do they ask you to prom?

• Sol Badguy
• • He’s one of the football guys; however, he is the only one with a GPA higher than a 2.5.
  • He is not a complete asshole to anyone he ends up dating.
  • He takes pride in his academic skills, but he won’t let anyone know that.
  • The only time he would ever skip a class would be to ask you to prom.
  • He’ll wait for a day when he knows you have a shared class that you hate. He’ll exit and pass you a note telling you to wait approximately 32 seconds and then follow him.
  • When you meet up with him, he asks you to go to prom with him. When you obviously accept, he beams and hugs you. He might even kiss you.
• Ky Kiske
  • This man is part of the rich kid clique.
  • He gets pretty much straight Bs without putting in effort, and he’s pretty content with his academics.
  • The one subject he gets As in is French. If you take French, he’ll flirt with you by talking to you in French.
  • He wants a little of a spectacle, so he asks you to prom in front of his friends.
  • He will ask you to prom in French, which none of his friends speak, so it’s a private moment amidst a crowd.
• May
  • She’s not much of an academic girl, but she’s alright.
  • She likes coming to you for help on homework. She enjoys English and History, but Math gives her a bit of a headache.
  • When she’s at your house one day, and you’re doing some homework together. She briefly mentions that prom is coming up.
  • When you ask her to go with you, she practically leaps over to you, sending the papers into the air to give you a bear hug.
  • “Yes! Yes! A million times, yes! I’ll go to prom with you!”
• Axl Low
  • He’s a lovable and smart dumbass. He’s not popular, but he’s not a social outcast.
  • This man loves calculus, complex chemistry, any and all of the most advanced STEM subjects your school offers, he’ll take them.
  • However, if you ask him to turn right, he’ll turn left 9 times out of 10, he’ll ask you what color blue and yellow make, he’ll forget how to do basic addition.
  • When he asks you to prom, he’ll do it in front of a crowd by sending you a paper airplane. When you unfold it and read the message aloud, everyone looks at you expectantly.
  • When you accept, he gives a little holler and runs over to you, almost tackling you in a hug.
• Chipp Zanuff
  • He really likes doing Model United Nations. He’s quite good at it too. With every event he goes to, he probably returns home with several awards and notes from people he met there.
  • He’s an academic, getting straight As in history and English with no issue. He manages to get As and A-s in everything else, but with some of your help.
  • He’s probably gotten at least 3 people’s phone numbers during his Model UN conferences. However, he doesn’t care. He only has his heart set on you.
  • He asks you to prom while you’re at his place. He’s just finished a new position paper and wants to share it with you, so you can edit a little.
  • At the bottom of the paper, he’s written, “(name), don’t worry. I’ve already run this thing through with grammarly about four times. I just wanted to show you to ask if you’d like to go to prom with me.”
  • When you kiss him on the cheek to tell him yes. He blushes, and might hug you close to him.
• Potemkin
  • He’s a bit of a dreamer.
  • A lot of people find him intimidating because of his stature. Sol and the other football guys have been trying to get him to try out for a while.
  • He does alright in his classes, but he much prefers to spend time with his sketchbook and his pencils.
  • He also likes to spend time with you, but he’s reserved. Overtime, he starts to open up and his feelings develop into romantic ones.
  • You casually bring up that you’d like to go with someone to prom, and he asks you to go with him without hesitation.
  • He tries to hide his face immediately after he said it, he’s worried he was too forward.
  • When you accept, he looks back at you and smiles. He’ll show you what he was drawing in his sketchbook (that’s a really rare moment), it’s a drawing of you in a prom dress/tux/whatever you’d wear to prom.
• Faust
  • He’s the kid who does a sport just to get the athletic credit, but he constantly fakes injuries so he doesn’t have to participate in said sport.
  • He spends a lot of time at the nurse’s office, so you get to know him quite well.
  • It’s gotten to the point where he’s learned to wrap sprains really well.
  • You come in one day because you somehow hurt your wrist while doing some sport or another. However, the nurse is out and Faust is in. It honestly feels more comfortable than the nurse because Faust is your age and not some woman in her mid-seventies.
  • You talk about prom and how excited you are to go, you just wish you had a date.
  • You’ve seen Faust around and there’s something about him that’s won your heart.
  • When you ask him to go to prom with you, he looks confused. He’s curious as to why anyone would want to take him to prom. He believes that he’s such a loser, constantly faking injuries to get out of a sport.
  • It’s your turn to be the nurse now and heal his heart!
• Millia Rage
  • Millia is a cheerleader. However, she isn’t a dumb blonde. She is on the track to becoming your class’s valedictorian.
  • She’s kinda cracking under the stress of her parent’s expectations a little, but you’d never know.
  • She wants to do something that’ll make her feel like herself. Ask the person she likes to prom. After that whole mess with Zato, she wants a positive and healthy relationship. Great news, she has her heart set on you.
  • Millia doesn’t beat around the bush to ask you to prom.
  • “You, me, prom.” Exactly that, in the same stern tone of voice you’d expect from Millia.
  • When you accept, (obviously, who wouldn’t accept the prom date invitation from the smartest, prettiest, and coolest girl in school), her stoic expression cracks into a little smile.
• Zato
  • After his dramatic break-up with Millia, he became the head of a few clubs and part of student government.
  • He’s not blind, but he wears glasses with a super high perscription, and he’d be considered legally blind if he didn’t wear them.
  • In terms of a student, he’s got a few close friends, but he isn’t particularly popular among the student body.
  • He’s a pretty good student, straight As and A-s, but he has some test-taking anxiety that’s knocked his grade down a bit.
  • When it comes to prom, he’s actually one of the members of the student council’s prom committee.
  • He knows that he shares a few classes with you, and he does start to develop feelings. He’s vowed to become a better man after Millia.
  • When he asks you to prom, he does this by leaving a red rose and a note in your locker. Then, you go find him and accept his invitation to go to prom with him. He smiles, and the rest is history.
• Ramlethal Valentine
  • In terms of academics, she’s almost as good as Millia. The only thing she struggles with a bit is English. Her essays aren’t as fluent and thus earn slightly lower grades.
  • It feels like she’s in a constant battle with Millia to get your grade’s valedictorian. She’s competitive as all hell.
  • She wears headphones a lot of the time and is often not paying attention during assemblies.
  • She’s one of your good friends, and feelings develop quickly. She gets excited whenever you ask her for help with your homework.
  • She spends a lot of time with her sister, Elphelt. They don’t share a lot, if any, personal interests, but they get along alright.
  • One day, you see her and Elphelt talking about prom. Ramlethal seems to have minimal interest. Elphelt sees you and gestures for you to come over. Besides, you needed to ask her if she understood what the hell your incompetent math teacher was saying.
  • Elphelt is begging you to ask Ramlethal to prom.
  • When you ask her, she responds with, “yes, I’d like to go to prom with you, but first we should go over the math.”
• Leo Whitefang
  • He is the captain of the football team. He’s not the brightest, but he’s trying to do well in school. He does just well enough in terms of academics to stay on the football team.
  • He keeps notes on his phone of good vocabulary words to use in essays.
  • He’s good friends with Ky and Sol. He’s one of the people who’s been constantly trying to get Potemkin to join the football team.
  • He has a massive crush on you, but he puts no effort into hiding it. It’s kind of adorable, and feelings can’t be controlled.
  • When he asks you to prom, he has a whole dramatic promposal that everyone’s talking about.
  • He’s blasting your favorite love song, he’s holding a giant cardboard sign reading “(Name!) Will you go to prom with me?”
  • He’s beaming at you. When you run over to him and hug him, he throws the sign behind him and returns your embrace.
  • “I’m taking this as a yes?”
  • “What do you think? Yes, I’d love to go to prom with you!”
• Nagoriyuki
  • He likes to do theatre, but he’s more of a tech guy than an actor. However, he loves show tunes and will sing them with you. It sometimes surprises you that he has such a beautiful and rich baritone voice.
  • He’s a good student, and you’ve caught him doing homework backstage during tech week.
  • As you two develop a romantic relationship, he shows subtle physical affection that’s easily hidden under the dim lighting of backstage.
  • If you’re an actor, he might give you a kiss just before you go on, and that really boosts your confidence. 
  • Even if you’re in the show together, he’ll get you flowers after every performance.
  • While you’re waiting to go onstage, you whisper to Nagoriyuki that prom is coming up.
  • He whispers in your ear, “would you like to go with me?”
  • It’s hard to read his expression under the lights, but when you accept, you swear you could see his eyes light up! Then, you go out and KILL IT onstage!
• Giovanna
  • She’s a great student, but she doesn’t really try hard. She doesn’t have to. A lot of the time, she’s off in her own little world thinking about you.
  • She spends a lot of time looking at photos of her dog, Rei.
  • She likes to send you photos of her dog. Let’s be honest, VERY CUTE! You know how sometimes dogs and their humans seem to have similar faces, Giovanna and Rei have similarly soulful eyes.
  • When you’re in some class together, most likely math or history, she’ll pass you a note that has the “will you go to prom with me?” and the yes or no checkboxes below.
  • You can feel a blush creep onto your face as you check the yes checkbox and pass it back to her.
  • She looks at it and smiles at you.
• Anji Mito
  • He’s also a theatre kid, like Nagoriyuki, but he’s an actor to the core.
  • He can sing, dance, and can become different characters at the drop of a hat.
  • He sort of forgets to do his homework during hell week, which tanks his grades. However, he still does alright, getting C+s to B+s depending on the subject and how much time it takes him.
  • The theatre director loves him because he “puts so much effort into the craft of theatre. He puts his heart, body, mind, and soul into it.”
  • For the musical, he’s managed to score the lead, and got you to be the love interest.
  • He’s passing off flirting with you as “method acting,” but you start to develop feelings for him too.
  • One day, while you’re waiting to go on for some romantic duet, he pushes his mic away and whispers in your ear, “will you go to prom with me?”
  • When you whisper back your acceptance into his ear, he smiles, and that performance was the best one yet according to the director.
• I-no
  • She’s a band kid, but she’s not really liked much by either students or staff.
  • Teachers dread looking at her desk because they know it’s going to be covered in graffiti of various varieties. There have been a lot of “I-no was here”s, swears, you name it.
  • She is failing most of her classes, but she doesn’t really care.
  • She gets dress-coded a decent bit too.
  • However, there’s something about her that makes you start to develop a crush.
  • To ask you to prom, she writes a whole rock song for you with an awesome guitar riff.
  • “(name)! Will you go to prom with me?” she shouts.
  • Whatever reason that it may be, you accept.
• Jack-O’ Valentine
  • She’s a cheerleader, and is close with Sol. A lot of people assume they’re dating, but she always says that they’re wrong. That’s because her heart belongs to you.
  • She’s really good when it comes to math and science, but she struggles with the human emotion aspect of English and history.
  • One of the things that you do when you hang out is that you play with her hair, putting it into fun styles.
  • It’s at one of these hangouts where you ask her to go to prom with you while you’re braiding her hair.
  • She smiles, and says that she’d love to go to prom with you. As long as you’ll do something fun with her hair for the event!
• Goldlewis Dickinson
  • He’s the kid who’s really into horror-ish podcasts such as Welcome to Nightvale and The Magnus Archives.
  • He’s said the occasional mildly problematic thing, but when someone calls him out on it, he apologizes and tries to do better.
  • In terms of academics, he’s pretty good, but he flies under the radar about it.
  • He procrastinates on essays and then comes to you practically crying for help.
  • It’s at one of these moments where he says he’s got an essay due soon, and he’s barely started. He doesn’t, he just needed an excuse to ask you to prom.
  • You ask him to show you what he’s got. He’s got a solid outline for some bullshit essay about some random book he read a while ago. However, at the bottom, in the biggest, boldest font, he’s written, “Would you please go to prom with me?”
  • When you tell him yes, he’s over the moon. He hugs you close and whispers in your ear, “I was totally bullshitting about the essay, I just needed an excuse to ask the question.”
• Testament
  • Testament comes into school every day with a thermos of tea and a stylish outfit.
  • They are the most organized student, and they do well in all of their classes.
  • They are also the head of multiple clubs, including a GSA.
  • As you get to know them, they start to open up about everything. They will info-dump about their various hobbies, vent about gender dysphoria, or talk about anything really.
  • They’re a comforting person to be around. Thus, slowly, you gain the confidence to ask them to prom.
  • They say they’d love to go with you to prom in such a manner that you ask them to repeat so you’re sure.
• Happy Chaos
  • Happy Chaos is I-no’s best friend, as does the same things as her, but on steroids.
  • He has graffitied on almost every wall, floor, and desk at school.
  • He’s been suspended at least once as far as you know.
  • You even heard rumors that he’s gotten into trouble with the police.
  • However, there’s something oddly charming about him. You’ve also discovered his weakness, anything to do with any form of philosophy.
  • Overtime, he starts to gain feelings for you. He likes to drive you around.
  • It’s on one of these drives where he asks you if you’ve got someone who you’re going to prom with.
  • When you answer no, he asks if you’d like to go with him.
  • When you accept, he grins.
  • “You wanna come back to my place? I just read the Meditations of Marcus Aurelius again and I’ve got some thoughts I’d like to share.”
• Baiken
  • She’s the captain of both the field hockey and lacrosse teams.
  • She constantly carries whichever stick is applicable for the sport season.
  • While she normally would have been bullied for looking like a lesbian (you’ve heard people talk shit about her behind her back), no one’s stupid enough to try anything to her face.
  • You never found her intimidating though. In fact, she’s actually nice once you get past her rough exterior.
  • She spends a lot of her free time practicing, but it’s never gotten to the point where she’s started failing school.
  • It’s during one of those free block’s where she’s practicing that you ask her if she’d like to go to prom with you.
  • She looks at you with wide eyes for a second. She’s processing what you said, and she’s amazed.
  • “You know what? I thought you’d never ask. I’ve seen the way you’ve been looking at me while I practice. Yeah, I’ll go with you. Come on, grab a stick. I’ll teach you how to play.”
• Johnny
  • He passes all his classes, but he doesn’t really try hard to get his grades above where he is.
  • He’s got a good friend group. He’s close with May, and he and Chipp get along quite well.
  • He’s basically a theatre kid who doesn’t do theatre because of the intense schedule.
  • He values his free time, and staying at school until around when he’d be asleep is a bit much.
  • That being said, he’s got a flair for the dramatics. 
  • At the beginning of lunch, just before you arrive, he announces that he’s got the biggest promposal planned for you.
  • He’s gotten I-no to play some sick guitar in the background.
  • He’s got his bouquet of roses, and I-no’s plugged into her amp.
  • As you enter the cafeteria, you hear I-no playing guitar and Johnny starts approaching you. He tosses you the bouquet of roses, and asks you on his knees, “Will you go to prom with me?”
  • When you accept, he jumps back onto his feet and kisses you.
• Bridget
  • She’s a total sweetheart, and people like her well enough. However, when she came out as trans, a lot of people stopped talking to her.
  • Instead of letting that get to her, she decided to put full effort into her school work.
  • She particularly loves English.
  • She’s a frequent member of the GSA along  with Testament and Anji.
  • You two were assigned to work on a project together, people start “ooh”-ing and whispering remarks to each other.
  • As you two work on this project together, you find yourself developing feelings for her. She’s just so bubbly and happy despite all the awfulness that’s happened.
  • After you’ve finished the project, you ask her if she wants to go to prom with you.
  • She’s surprised, but of course she says yes. She hugs you tightly and you are both very happy about it. Nothing makes your heart beat faster than seeing her smile.
• Asuka
  • Ever the academic, he’s forlorn almost any form of social life for academic achievement.
  • He seems to get along with Sol and Jack-O’ just fine.
  • The only reason why he isn’t your class’s valedictorian is because he was sick one day and he missed a quiz in his foreign language class. He took it the next day, and although he got everything correct, the teacher only gave him an 80% since he did it a day late. This teacher was convinced by a certain valedictorian candidate that he could potentially have cheated.
  • He’s now trying to sabotage Millia to get valedictorian. 
  • It takes a lot to distract him from his studies, but even then, you can still get him to be a romantic boyfriend with you.
  • He understands the scientific benefits of a healthy romantic relationship and that’s what you two have.
  • You ask him if he’s going to prom. He says that he would if he had a date.
  • “Would you like to be my date to prom?”
  • When you accept, he smiles, lets you lay down with your head in his lap, and plays with your hair.
• Elphelt Valentine
  • She’s the most liked band kid. She’s the vocalist.
  • She’s also a hopeless romantic, constantly trying to find a partner. This has become an even bigger part of her goal because prom is coming up.
  • You’ve gone to several of her performances, and started to crush on her cute demeanor and her gorgeous looks.
  • She’s also alright in school, ready to help you with your homework should you need.
  • When you ask her to prom, she looks at you, smiles, and blushes crazily. She’s so happy that someone asked her, especially because it’s you!
  • She then asks if you’d like to go on a proper date sometime to go see a movie or something.
• A.B.A
  • She’s a cheerleader along with Jack-O’, but she’s always the backspot for pyramids and such. She’s can’t be front and center because of her green hair.
  • She’s had a major and borderline obsessive crush on this boy, Paracelsus. He doesn’t always seem to return her affections, and they seem to have an on-and-off relationship.
  • When she’s officially with Paracelsus, she does comparatively poorly in school, averaging C-s to Bs. When she’s not dating Paracelsus, she’s getting B+ to As.
  • You’ve started to develop a crush on her, but you just can’t seem to drag her away from Paracelsus.
  • You’ve talked to him, and he says that his feelings of affection towards her come and go, and he knows they can’t go on forever.
  • Since it’s one of these off-phases, you can ask her to prom.
  • When you do, she looks at you confused. She feels like no one but Paracelsus would feel anything romantic in nature.
  • She accepts. Now, you’ve got something healthy with her. She still remains friends with Paracelsus.
• Slayer
  • He’s one of the classier students. He always seems to put effort into his appearances, but others’s opinions of him don’t seem to matter to him.
  • He’s a great student, As and A-s across the board.
  • He’s super organized, and he’s even got extra folders if you need one.
  • He has a notebook in which he writes his poetry. You’ve heard a few rumors that he’s actually won literary awards and competitions with his poetry.
  • You two have gotten along from the get-go. 
  • He’s a physically affectionate guy, and overtime both of you start to develop feelings for each other.
  • When he asks you to prom, he comes to your house with a singular red rose and a poem.
  • After he reads his poem, he says, “(name), I would be the happiest poet in the world if you would go to prom with me.”
  • When you accept, he hugs you and gives you a kiss, “I’ll write another poem for you soon.”
  • That love poem won multiple literary competitions.

Chapter Text

It was the early morning on the May ship. You were starting to wake up, but you just wanted to get back to sleep, and continue cuddling Johnny (or maybe something more). He was laying there beside you, with an arm wrapped around your torso, breathing deeply. As sunlight crept into the room, you started to feel your pirate boyfriend stir a little. 

“Don’t move,” you heard Johnny sleepily grumble into your ear. He hugged you closer to his chest and went back to a sound slumber. You could feel his nose rub against the back of your neck, the soft breaths crawling their way down your spine. You feel a chill as the blankets are moved slightly off of you. As you shiver, Johnny holds you even closer, warming your back up a little. You turned around to face him. His half-dozing face made you feel sleepier too. 

There was something about his face that was so handsome. Maybe it was the way that one small section of blond hair curled on his forehead. Maybe it was the way you knew his closed blue eyes would glow in the sunlight once he opened them. However, you knew that it was truly the love he had for you that you could clearly feel. The sunlight seemed to make his face glow, making him look like a radiant god.

You watched as his eyelashes fluttered and he started to open his eyes.

“Good morning, sunshine,” he whispered to you.

You could hear clattering outside. The girls must have been getting ready to begin their day. However, you hoped that they wouldn’t barge in, you just wanted to enjoy your time with Johnny right here. From his reaction to the noise, you could tell that he wanted to enjoy this moment with you too.

“Good morning to you too,” you whispered back.

“How much longer do you think we’ve got until the girls come to wake us up?” he asked.

“Like hell if I know, could be an hour from now, could be in twenty seconds.”

You found yourself tracing the delicate musculature of his neck and upper back. Every twitch of muscle, raise of goosebumps, and slight audible reaction made you realize you both wanted the same thing. However, it’d have to wait, you could hear someone walking to the door of Johnny’s room. He quickly tosses off the covers to grab his jacket, leaving you shocked by the sudden cold air. You’re always surprised as to how cold Johnny keeps his room. You heard May knock at the door.

“Johnny, (name!) It’s time to wake up if you haven’t already!” you heard her shout, “breakfast’s ready, we’re just waiting for you.”

“We’ll be out in a minute,” Johnny answered. He slung on his jacket and walked over to you. You kissed him, and he smiled. As you two walked out of the door, you both had an arm around each other. He had his shades, his hat, and a smile on. You two entered the cafeteria and were greeted by the twelve girls who made up the Jellyfish Pirates. Breakfast was as good as it always was. It was time for Johnny to explain the plan for the next big event. He and the rest of the Jellyfish Pirates were about to heist some rich people and redistribute the wealth to those who needed it. You could see just a sliver of Johnny’s blue eyes from in between his sunglasses and his hat. Oh, how you wanted to just run over there and kiss him you thought as you sipped your morning coffee.

“Any questions?” he finally asked.

The rest of the crew shook their heads. You chuckled, now you two could go back to your cuddling and something else potentially. Johnny meandered over to you and kissed you on the forehead. He sat down across the table from you with his own breakfast and coffee. The girls were gossiping and eating too.

“I ask the same of you,” he said, “Have you got any questions for me?”

“Can we go back to your room?” you asked, “I kinda wanna do something.”

“I’d say it’s more of our room at this point, sweetheart. Besides, we now have all the time in the world. However, let’s eat breakfast first, you and I both know we’re going to need the energy.”

You chuckled and continued to eat your breakfast. Johnny gave you one of his trademark smirks. He looked so handsome as he took a sip of his coffee. You never knew how he could stand to drink black coffee as you stared into your own milky brew. You found yourself tracing every line of his body, practically undressing him with your eyes (not like his normal choice of attire left much to the imagination). Every visible line of muscle that continued to go under his coat made you want to toss it off more. God, this man knew how to make you want him without trying. 

When you two finished breakfast, he extended a hand out to you. He was going to drag you to your room. You took it willingly as he practically started racing down the hall. Once you returned to the quiet safety of Johnny’s room. You two closed the door, looked at each other, and smiled. He tossed his hat into the corner and took off his sunglasses to place them on the bedside table. Those blue eyes of his pierced your soul, and they seemed to extract every desire for him you had. Johnny smirked again.

“You’re quite the eager one,” he whispered into your ear as he lightly traced your jawline and neck. He leaned against the wall beside you, starting to tease you by slowly removing his jacket. You wanted to reach out to him and trace every line of his muscles. When you made a move to touch his pec, he grabbed your wrist and moved it aside.

“Ah ah ah,” he said, “I never said you could touch quite yet.”

He looked you up and down quickly, and he continued to stare into your eyes. You both leaned in and kissed passionately. You wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him in closer. Soon enough, the kiss escalated into making out. While you were doing this, Johnny slowly moved you to your bed. He guided you gently across the comforter. You broke your kiss as you got into a more comfortable position. You took off your shirt and discarded it to the floor.

“Can I?” you asked, pointing at the buckle on Johnny’s belt.

“Go ahead, sweetheart,” he answered.

As you undid the buckle of his belt, he kissed you. He tangled his fingers in your hair as you fiddled with it. When it finally came undone, you grabbed it and threw it. It made a clattering noise on the floor.

• You stumble in through the door, and he’s right there waiting for you.
• “Holy shit, what happened to you? I was worried, now I realize I had every reason to be.”
• He’ll give you a light hug. He’s just glad that you’re home and not too terribly injured.
• He’s going to grab some ice for the black eye. However, he insists on holding it to your face.
• He’ll give you a worried smile too.
• “Now where are the fuckers who did this to you?”
• He’s plotting vengeance.
• Ky Kiske
• You find him in your bedroom while he’s doing some paperwork. Without looking up from his papers, he greets you.
• When you approach him, he finally looks at you. It takes a moment, but his facial expression turns to one of utter surprise.
• He’ll call for someone to bring some ice and some ointment.
• Even though the largest injury you have is the black eye, he insists on you laying in bed as he takes care of you.
• He'll listen to you as you tell the story of what happened.
• May
• As you reboard the ship an hour or so after Johnny, May has been worried. Johnny said that you were going to hit another bar or two before coming back, but he seemed confident that you could handle yourself.
• May is waiting for what feels like an eternity before you return.
• When you stagger back up the ramp, she runs up to you and hugs you.
• She almost screams when she sees the black eye on your face. She’ll run with you into the kitchen to grab ice and anything that would help.
• She doesn’t care that it’s two in the morning and she’s making quite a racket.
• Axl Low
• When you come home, he hears you come in through the door and make your way to the couch.
• You obviously don’t want to admit what happened, so you bury your face in the couch cushion. Axl happened to be in the bathroom, when he saw you laying face down on the couch, he figured something was up.
• He tapped you on the shoulder so you would look at him. However, you don’t budge. You’re kind of embarrassed about the whole bar fight ordeal.
• “C’mon love, it can’t be that bad. Did you get into a fight?”
• When you nod into the cushion, Axl smiles in understanding. He’s gotten into his fair share of fights, but he doesn’t really like it all that much.
• “Will you let me see? I wanna make sure you’re not too injured.”
• He’s already teleported off to get some ice and is back at your side in a flash.
• He’ll stroke your hair as you hold the ice up to the black eye. He’ll hug you close and tell you that everything’s going to be fine.
• Chipp Zanuff
• He greets you at home the same way he always does, teleporting behind you and giving you a hug. Tonight, you’re particularly grateful for this method of greeting. You don’t think you’re quite ready to look him in the eyes yet.
• He’s not going to notice that something happened until you look at him. When he sees the black eye, his eyes go wide and he seems to be too stunned for words.
• “I–um–holy shit, what asshole did this to you?” he’ll practically shout at you.
• When you explain you got into a bar fight, he swears that he’s going to kill all the punks who hurt you.
• “No one messes with Chipp Zanuff’s girlfriend/boyfriend/partner!”

• He’s awake when you come home, he’s just worried about you. However, he’s going to pretend to be asleep when you go into your bedroom.
• You turn on the lights, but quickly turn them off again when you see him “sleeping.”
• He sits up and asks you what you were up to. He hugs you a little, he’s glad you’re home safe.
• When he turns on the lights and sees that you have a black eye, he almost scrambles out of bed to get you some ice.
• When he returns with the ice, he’ll hold it to your eye and stroke your hair.
• He insists that he go with you the next time you go bar-hopping.

• He’s awake at all hours, so he’s surprised to see you come home at 2 in the morning.

• Who would dare hurt my girlfriend/boyfriend/partner?” he’ll shout the second he sees that you have a black eye.
• He hugs you really tightly. He was worried sick about you.

• As you’re getting patched up, he’ll ask you to tell him everything.
• He knows that he’s accidentally, or in partial intention, gotten himself hurt. He knows how you cry and how you are worried about him. 
• This is the wake-up call that he needed. He’s going to strive to be a better boyfriend for you, especially now.

• He knows you’re hurt before you even walk in the door. 
• When you walk in, he approaches you and asks what happened.
• He’s very gentle about it, and is a good listener to your story.
• He’ll sigh, put his hand on your cheek, and give you a kiss.
• “Let’s heal your injuries. That black eye in particular looks horrendous.”
• Giovanna
• “You smell of alcohol, go take a shower.” She really hates the smell of alcohol and cigarettes too.
• However, she takes one look at your face.
• “My god, what the hell happened to you? Let’s get you cleaned up. You can tell me while we do that.”
• Rei is worried too. The wolf just sits next to you and puts its head in your lap.
• Anji Mito
• He knew that you were going to come home late from bar-hopping, so he already had a cup of green tea and some painkillers for your hangover.
• However, when he sees you stumble in the door, he’s surprised to see you hurt.
• When you greet him and go to grab some ice for your black eye, he asks what happened, and puts a hand on your shoulder.
• When you explain what led you to getting in the bar fight, you can see him growing angrier and angrier, not at you, but at the jerks who got you in this situation.
• “I’m going to find those assholes and make sure they pay.”
• You might have to physically restrain him to prevent him from going on a rampage.
• I-no
• She goes out to find you because she’s worried. You’re the tame one of the two of you.
• She finds you running away from a bar and a bunch of leering people shouting insults at you.
• “Those sons of bitches,” she’ll whisper as she spells their downfalls.
• She runs to find you and sees you sitting on a bench, she sits beside you and puts a hand on your shoulder.
• “I saw the end of what happened. Do you want to tell me the rest?”
• She’s a good listener, and she’ll summon some ice for you.
• Jack-O’ Valentine
• She hears you stumble inside at an ungodly hour, and she runs up to you.
• She sees that you have a black eye, and asks what happened. She’s very concerned.
• “Sol, can you get some ice? (Name)’s gotten themself a black eye.”
• She hugs you a little and whispers, “I’m glad you’re okay. Can you tell me what happened?”

• He hears you come home even though he’s been asleep. He comes downstairs and sees you looking down.
• “Hey, sweetheart. You’re home late, did somethin’ happen? C’mere, let me see.”
• He’s surprised to see the black eye, but he doesn’t really ask questions. He can guess what happened.
• He’s very gentle as he holds some ice to your face.
• He’ll kiss your forehead when he’s sure you’re out of shock.

• “My dear, you got into quite the scuffle there, haven’t you?”
• They get you to sit beside them on the couch as you exposit the story.
• They make their succubi get the things you need, some painkillers, ice, etc.
• They look considerably worried because of the black eye.
• You two are spending the next day with each other, doing self-care, and cuddling as much as your hangover will allow.

• He sees what happened in almost its entirety. He doesn’t understand why he got so angry, but he ended up shooting one of the aggressors with his gun. The rest scattered after that.
• When you see him, he opens his car door and smiles. However, you don’t smile back at him.
• “Shit, babe, what was that all about?”
• When he sees that you aren’t looking at him, he says, “hey, did they fuck you up that bad? C’mon, let me see?”
• His eyes go wide and he sighs. 
• You two are going on a drive to relax.

• She hears you come home, but she’s so damn tired that she can’t be bothered to get up.
• When you enter your room, she sees your black eye and sits bolt upright.
• “Okay, spit it out. What the hell happened to you?”
• When you tell the story, she grows softer and more concerned.
• “Do you think that you can make it through the night without painkillers? It’s two in the morning.”
• She is pretty much holding you in a death grip the whole night.
• At a more reasonable hour, she is going to absolutely go on a manhunt after these people.
• Johnny
• He’ll sit by the entrance to the May ship. At least two of the Jellyfish Pirates are trying to get him to go to bed. He replies, “Not until (name) comes home. I’m worried.”
• When you finally come home, he sweeps you off your feet and brings you to his room.
• He turns on the lights to see your black eye in surprise.
• “Who’s the animal that did this to you? They surely know the crime of messing up that beautiful face of yours.”
• He’ll get you ice and such. He’ll hold it up to your eye, but he likes it when you put your hand on his.
• Bridget
• She almost screams when she sees you. She’ll run up to you and hug you tightly, she’s on the brink of tears.
• “Are you okay? Do you need anything? That black eye looks bad, can I get you some ice?” It’s a stream of questions.
• She’s pretty frantic, getting you some ice and other things you need.
• She swears that she’s going to try and fight the people that did this to you. You have to dissuade her from doing anything of that sort.

• He hears you come home and he’s happy to see you. He’s still in his study, so you find him there.
• “Welcome home, (name), how was your night?” he’ll ask, still looking at the sheaf of papers in his hands.
• When you explain that you got into a bar fight and most likely sustained a black eye, he looks up at you and his eyes go wide.
• He’ll put a hand on your cheek and you suddenly feel a tingling around your eye. You look at your reflection, the black eye is gone.
• “Let’s go to sleep, I think we both need it.”

• “AAAHHHHHH! What happened?!?! Who hurt my beloved (name)?!?!”
• She’ll be flailing her arms about, trying to get the things that you might need for the black eye.
• When you finally manage to calm her down, you explain how you got into a bar fight and sustained the black eye.
• She might cry into your shoulder a little.

• She runs to you and practically leaps into your arms when you come home. She’s happy to see you and doesn’t notice the black eye right away.
• When she finally sees it, she seems to have a look of horror on her face.
• “My beloved, what happened to you?”
• When you explain that you just got into a bar fight and need some ice, she’ll say, “those monsters won’t get away with what they did to you.”

• “My dear, what happened to you?” he’ll ask as you walk in the door.
• He’ll hug you, and get you some ice.
• When he wants you to explain, he’ll sit with you on the bed. He’ll stroke your hair and hold your hand as you hold the ice to your eye.
• He’s quite tempted to go after the people you got into the fight with. He wants them to get properly punished. He’s going to drain all of their blood most likely.

Chapter Text

It was a normal afternoon and early evening. You were cooking dinner and waiting for your girlfriend to return home. I-no would surely be home soon. She said to you that she had a potential gig coming up. Despite her being a criminal, she did enjoy playing at bars for some easy and legal cash.

You heard the door creak open and almost abandoned the stove altogether. You could hear I-no humming to herself about something or other.

“Hey (name)! I’m home!” She said as she entered the kitchen. Sometimes there were days where you were just struck by her beauty. Today was one of those days. There was an elegance that she had when she tossed her hat to land perfectly on the hat rack. She flipped her bob of silky black hair. She grabbed her glasses and cleaned them with the hem of her crop top.

“What are you making, babe?” she asked.

“Just some dinner, I found a soup recipe this morning and knew I had to try it,” you answered, “it should be ready in about five more minutes if you’re hungry.”

“Utterly starved.”

You two chuckled. Soon enough, the soup was ready. You laddled out some soup for the two of you. As you were eating your soup, she leaned borderline seductively on the counter.

“Did you get the gig you were looking after?” you asked with a mouth full of soup.

“Of course I did! It’s tomorrow actually, if you’d like to come. By the way, the soup’s delicious.”

“I’m glad, just tell me where the gig is, I’ll be there straight after work.”

“I’m going to go practice. Don’t worry, I put a little charm on Marlene so I’m the only one who can hear her while I practice.”

It was always nice to see her practicing. It was like she was in a whole other world. You watched her with intrigue, she seemed almost celestial when she played. Maybe it was the way you knew her hands were soft despite the constant pressure on the steel strings. Maybe it was that subtle smile that played across her red lips. Maybe it was just how her whole demeanor changed when she was playing. She just seemed freer and happier. Most likely, it was a mix of everything.

At some point, she saw you watching and admiring her playing. She flicked her hands and suddenly, your ears were filled with the most beautiful melodies. Some were fast-paced, shifting from a chord or a riff to the next in the blink of an eye, and others were slow and soothing. Notes being held in the air for seconds. You felt yourself almost melting with the music. As she strummed a final C chord, she set her guitar in her pocket dimension and looked at you.

“Just a little sneak-peak,” she chuckled as she approached you sitting in the desk chair. She put her hand on your cheek and kissed you softly. You found yourself wrapping your arms around her waist and pulling her closer. You could see that she was blushing.

“It was beautiful,” you whispered, “let’s get some sleep. I’m so excited to see your performance tomorrow.”

I-no nodded.

Your day at work couldn’t pass by even slower than it did. You were just so excited to watch  I-no perform her gig. She told you that she would disguise herself because she is, still, a criminal. When you saw the clock strike five o’clock, you almost sprinted out of your cubicle and to the bar she said she was performing at.

You grabbed yourself a light drink at the bar and found a seat near the stage. A woman walked on, and somehow you knew that it was I-no. She wasn’t wearing her standard red attire. She traded it out for a simple pair of jeans and a t-shirt in your favorite color. It suited her really well. She picked up Marlene from the case and stood in front of the microphone. It had already been adjusted to her height. Just above you, there was a poster on the wall. It listed every musician that was playing a gig that night. On it was someone named “The Cerulean Bard.” You laughed. That was a choice on her part, one of the aliases she’s picked up over the years was “The Crimson Minstrel.”

“This set of five songs is for my partner,” she said clearly.

She began to play.

The music seemed to reverb through the space more than it had when you heard her practicing. The first song she played was a fast-paced, but repetitive rhythm of chords and brief melodies. The second was a simple and intriguing song with a two-measure motif that repeated occasionally. The third was a slow ballad, solemn and languid in nature, and you might have seen at least one person in tears during that song. The fourth was almost all about rhythm and not about notes, you could see her lightly rapping her knuckles against the body of her guitar. You also saw people starting to dance. The final song was clearly the one she was looking forward to most. It had a rock song feel to it, with power chords and powerful strums. When she finished her final song, she took a bow and the bar erupted into applause.

She gave you a glance and a knowing smile. You ran up to her and kissed her. The applause seemed to be blocked out.

“That color suits you,” you whispered into her ear, “also, that was clever. the cerulean bard thing.”

“I figured you would like it,” she answered, “come on, the night’s still young. We’ve got plenty of chaos to cause.”

She took your hand in hers as you ran off into the night, smiling and laughing.

• Sol Badguy
• • “That fucking punk,” he’ll whisper. He saw you trying to shove away the guy, but he just kept coming back.
  • He was on the other side of the street. He walked to the crosswalk and crossed over.
  • He knows exactly what’ll scare that guy off, and it’s him. He knows he’s big and scary. However, you and he both know that he wouldn’t hurt anyone unless he had to.
  • “Hey (name)!” He’ll shout at you. He smiles when he sees your face light up and you run to him. He gives you a reassuring hug.
  • The guy that was being creepy towards you recognizes Sol and runs the other way.
• Ky Kiske
  • Ky is an unassuming man, so this guy approaches you while you’re walking next to him. Ky sees the guy too, and wraps an arm around your waist and pulls you close to him.
  • You both try to walk away, and you see that Ky is trying to push you ahead of him so he can protect you.
  • Ky always has his sword at his hip.
  • When the guy doesn’t seem to be leaving and is starting to make you visibly uncomfortable, Ky draws his sword and puts on an angry expression.
  • The guy still seems insistent, so Ky gestures as if he’s going to swing and this causes the sword to emit sparks. This finally works.
  • Ky sheaths his sword, kisses you on the cheek, and you continue your walk.
• May
  • You two are skipping along the road together. You’re a few paces ahead of May because you’re the one who knows the area.
  • You accidentally bump into someone. You quickly say sorry, call out to May, and try to move along, but the person who you bumped into grabbed your shoulder forcing you to stop.
  • This guy starts talking to you and asking some deeply personal questions.
  • May skids to a stop by your side. She’s looking at the guy in surprise.
  • You subtly signal to her that this guy’s creeping you out. May steals her resolve and hits the guy in the head swiftly and without mercy.
• Axl Low
  • He sees you walking a few blocks ahead, and all he wants to do is say hi! However, he has a gut feeling that something’s wrong.
  • He’s still going to run up to you, but he sees what was triggering his instincts. Some guy was being really creepy towards you and you weren’t having it. It was clear you just wanted to go on your way and not continue interacting with this man.
  • Axl quickly teleports to your side, whispers a quick hello in your ear and says, “Hey mate, have we got a problem here?”
  • In a bit of quick thinking, Axl makes his sickles flash briefly in the streetlamp light.
  • The guy then scurries off. Axl laughs and hugs you tightly.
• Chipp Zanuff
  • No one’s going to attempt anything towards you while he’s around.
  • You’re out for a stroll late one night. As you’re walking through the park, you feel a disturbing presence in the air.
  • You hear someone following you and quickly turn around. It’s a guy and he’s clearly interested in you. You try to get him off your trail, but he just keeps following. Eventually, the guy catches up to you and pulls out a small knife.
  • Suddenly, Chipp appears at your side. He holds the guy’s arm away from you.
  • You can see his grip strength alone might be enough to break the guy’s arm.
  • “I suggest you leave unless you want the full force of the president’s army down your back.” he’ll say. This obviously causes the guy to run.
  • He hugs you and asks if you’re okay.
• Potemkin
  • He hears you trying to get away from someone and he knows he has to help.
  • He walks up to you two, making an effort to be as noisy and intimidating as possible.
  • If the guy still doesn’t let up, Potemkin will threaten to Heavenly Potemkin Buster their ass.
  • If that somehow doesn’t work, he’s going to threaten it physically, making a show of priming his mechanical gear for the maneuver.
  • When the guy finally leaves after that, he picks you up, gives you a hug, and maybe a kiss if you’re so willing.
• Faust
  • You two are walking together through a park. Faust is wearing things that make him blend into the darkness. When the guy starts to approach you, you don’t feel too worried as Faust is by your side.
  • When the guy starts to make you uncomfortable, Faust angles his giant scalpel in a way that catches just enough light to catch the guy’s attention.
  • If he still won’t leave, Faust himself will enter the light and brandish the scalpel in a menacing way.
  • If that still doesn’t work, you’re going to have to hide a body quickly.
• Millia Rage
  • Millia senses the guy before you do and is ready to fight for you. She quickly turns her hair into weapon mode, but it’s subtle enough to not be noticed.
  • When the guy shows up and tries to flirt with you, she starts to make her hair longer and more weapon-like in shape.
  • She pushes you behind her.
  • “If you’re going to continue to make them uncomfortable, I strongly believe you should leave… Now.”
  • If the guy doesn’t leave, she will warn him one more time. If he still doesn’t listen, the guy’s getting speared by her hair.
  • “Sorry about that,” she’ll say, “will you help me wash the blood out of my hair?”
• Zato
  • The guy thinks he can pull something because Zato’s blind. However, Zato has fantastic senses of his surroundings.
  • He’ll grab your shoulder and make you feel protected.
  • He can feel you growing more uncomfortable in his arms. He’s quiet and measured and it’s almost scary.
  • At some point. Zato just sets Eddie on the guy. When he’s done, Eddie gives you a thumbs up and just disappears.
• Ramlethal Valentine
  • You two are walking together. However, you made the mistake of insisting that Ramlethal put her swords away.
  • When the guy starts to make you uncomfortable, she feels something deep inside of her that she doesn’t understand.
  • Despite your previous insistence, she summons her swords and threatens the guy. Thankfully, he scurries after this singular warning.
  • “(name), I just experienced a peculiar feeling when that guy was making you uncomfortable. Can you explain it to me?”
• Leo Whitefang
  • He hears you trying to get away from the guy, and he’s worried. He’s not going to let himself lose another person that he cares about.
  • He runs up and kicks the guy in the crotch, sending him flying.
  • “I’m sorry I was not here sooner,” he’ll say, “are you alright?”
  • When you answer that you’re okay now, he’ll give you a hug.
  • His hugs practically suffocate you in his coat, but you couldn’t care less. You’re happy that he saved you and that you’re safe from any threat with him by your side.
• Nagoriyuki
  • You were taking a walk home when you felt that someone was following you. This guy was giving you some bad vibes, and all you wanted was to be protected by Nagoriyuki.
  • Little did you know, Nagoriyuki was actually following half a block away. He sensed you were nearby and he wanted to see you and maybe say hello. However, he now sensed your growing distress.
  • He approached you and was careful not to startle you. When you see him, he smiles and you run to him.
  • “What’s stressing you, (name)?” he’ll ask as you’re standing next to him.
  • As you explain, he listens to what you’re saying.
  • When the guy following you was upon you two, he tries to say something, but Nagoriyuki cuts him off.
  • “If you insist on bothering my boyfriend/girlfriend/partner here, then I suggest you leave.” However, the guy does not leave, so Nagoriyuki continues, “you don’t want to know who you’re messing with here.”
  • When the sword is even slightly drawn, the creepy guy leaves.
• Giovanna
  • She’s taking a walk with you and Rei when the guy starts talking to you.
  • Rei’s on leash, but that might not be the case for long if this guy doesn’t leave soon.
  • When she sees that you are growing incredibly uncomfortable with the things the guy is saying, she says, “are we going to have a problem here?”
  • Giovanna silently unclips the leash on Rei and sets the wolf on the guy.
  • When Rei is satisfied with scaring the guy off, Rei trots back with a happy expression.
• Anji Mito
  • He hears you running towards him. He turns around and opens his arms. He embraces and asks what happened.
  • When the guy catches up to you, he looks surprised as Anji draws his fans.
  • “I’m not going to let you make them feel uncomfortable or let you hurt them.”
  • You can tell he’s really trying hard not to just murder the guy.
  • If the guy still doesn’t leave, Anji will tell you to hide your eyes. Then, he will dance up to the guy and practically blend him with his fans.

  • You are walking together and enjoying a little moment of peace.
  • She’ll hear the guy and be on guard. She knows that she can handle herself in this situation, but she doesn’t know about you.
  • When the guy starts making you uncomfortable, she will grab him by the throat and teleport a few yards away.
  • “If you’re going to make them feel uncomfortable, I suggest you prepare yourself for the wrath of the Crimson Minstrel.”
• Jack-O’ Valentine
  • She’ll see the guy and when he starts talking to you, she keeps trying to drag you away.
  • If he doesn’t get the message, Jack-O will put herself in between you two. However, she’s ready to leave with you if it gets too rough.
  • When the guy tries to shove her away to get to you, she quickly cracks his head against her knee and you run off together.
• Goldlewis Dickinson
  • He sees you trying to shove off a guy that’s making you uncomfortable. He’s a little worried as the situation heightens.
  • He walks up behind you, and you can tell it’s him because of his footsteps.
  • “Have we got a problem here?” he’ll ask. He’ll put a comforting hand on your shoulder.
  • “No sir!” The guy will quickly squeal and leave.
  • Goldlewis hugs you because of what happened.
  • “Will you tell me how you got into the mess with that guy?” he’ll ask.
• Testament
  • You two are walking together, and you see the guy approaching you. He starts talking and you can see Testament’s face become one of displeasure.
  • However, when things get from weird to full-on creepy, their eyes go wide and they teleport behind the guy. They put a hand on his shoulder and startled him.
  • “If you’re going to continue bothering my partner here, I will have to resort to more drastic actions,” they say as they summon their blood scythe.
  • As the guy scurries away, Testament will grab your hand and kiss your forehead.
  • “Let’s continue our date, shall we?”
• Happy Chaos
  • You two are probably driving together when you get stopped at a stoplight. It’s nice to see Happy Chaos obeying the rules of the road for once.
  • However, at this corner you see someone approaching the car and he immediately sets you on edge. Happy Chaos notices it too, and he grabs his gun.
  • He doesn’t show it off yet, he wants to watch what happens, but he’s ready when he has to be.
  • When Happy Chaos sees the guy being creepy and making you uncomfortable he whispers for you to duck down.
  • You hear a gunshot and feel the car speeding away with the light turning green.

  • You two are walking together. She always has her sword and a rope at her hip. She’s very insistent about the rope when you’re walking at night.
  • When the guy comes up to you and starts talking to you, she says, “Can’t you fuck off, I’m trying to enjoy my night for once.”
  • When the talking turns into things that are making you uncomfortable, she quickly grabs the rope and ties him up.
  • “You’re not going to touch my (name). You’re lucky you’re not the one I’m seeking revenge against.”
• Johnny
  • He’ll hear you trying to shove off the guy, and he’s there quickly.
  • “Hey there, sweetheart, wanna go get some grub after I deal with this guy here?” he’ll ask in the sweetest tone.
  • He’ll intimidate the guy and make sure he’s in between you two.
  • When the guy runs off, he’ll chuckle.
  • “C’mon, my offer is still on the table!”
• Bridget
  • You two are walking together, and she’s skipping along merrily with you.
  • When the guy starts to approach you, she thinks she might recognize him as one of the people she’s got a bounty list for.
  • She’ll look at her list and sure enough, it’s one of the guys she’s looking for.
  • When he starts to make you uncomfortable, she sighs and quickly does what she does with every single one of her bounties. She knocks him out and throws him over her shoulder.
  • “Let’s go, (name)! If we get to the palace, I can skip the bounty processing fee. Sol taught me that trick.”
• Asuka
  • You and Asuka are having some really deep discussion about something either science or ethics related.
  • When the guy comes up to you and tries to drag you away from Asuka, Asuka starts to make an intimidating show of magic.
  • He’s not doing anything too draining, but it sure as hell scares the guy.
  • “I suggest that you hand them back to me, surely you know the stories about me.”
  • When the guy realizes that it’s That Man that he’s talking to, he takes his hand off of you as if you were lava.
• Elphelt Valentine
  • You two have just gone to a nice dinner as a date, and you are taking a stroll together.
  • When the guy approaches you and starts talking to you, she tries to distract him. She’s asking if she’s heard of her band as she’s silently hoping that the distraction would help. However, it doesn’t.
  • When the guy is starting to make you uncomfortable and not letting up, she grows frustrated.
  • “That’s my spouse you’re talking to, and clearly they’re not interested. If you don’t stop, I’m going to have to introduce you to Ms. Charlotte.”
  • She makes a big show of going from cute to terrifying, she even starts speaking in the way she sings. Thankfully, this works and you two can go back to your after-dinner stroll.
• A.B.A
  • You’re walking arm in arm with A.B.A through the city when someone taps your shoulder and attempts to drag you away.
  • You glance at her periodically and you can see her growing more and more angry.
  • When the guy says something over the line, she practically explodes into her jealous rage.
  • “You want to play that game?” She’ll ask the guy in her slightly insane sounding voice, lightly pushing you behind her.
  • If the guy doesn’t let up, she’s going to full-on attack him. She ends up scratching his face so badly that he loses an eye.
• Slayer
  • You two would be walking either to or from dinner under the glow of the moon and the stars. You two are just being an adorable couple, saying flirty things to each other, and just having a good conversation.
  • Slayer hears and sees the guy well before you do. He’s on guard immediately, but he doesn’t let on.
  • He’ll start out cordial, trying to persuade the guy to leave you alone.
  • “Excuse me, sir, would you mind leaving me and my partner alone?”
  • When he doesn’t stop, he slowly grows angrier, but he hides it really well. When the guy touched you at all, that was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
  • “My good sir, I hope you appreciated your life,” he’ll say. He then will drain the guy of all of his blood.

Chapter Text

Knowing that you’re dating Asuka is always a delight to your mind. You love the way he smells like old books, sage, and sea salt when he holds you in his sleep. There’s something about the way only a kiss from you can seem to distract him from his work in the late hours of the night that makes you smile every time you think about it. Sometimes, when he takes you on dates, he gives you a smile that makes you weak in the knees. 

In your house, there are rube goldberg machines everywhere, specifically for the purpose of making buckwheat soba noodles. Instead of basic paintings and posters, there are scientific diagrams, a few depictions of the periodic table, and some posters of your favorite bands. He’s tried to explain to you what he’s working on, but it normally leaves you with a headache and more questions than answers, but he loves that you’re interested in what he’s working on. Those are usually the nights where he falls asleep at his desk. When you stir him from his slumber to get him to sleep in a proper bed, you like to joke that there will be a day where his brain will force him to rest.

A day with him is always bound to be full of interesting things, but there are also the moments of calm. For him, nothing is better than when you take his mind off of your research for a kiss, cuddle, or an actual meal. He’ll give you his cloak when you’re outside and it’s cold. To him, there’s nothing better than seeing how cute you look wrapped up in his clothes. He always says that there’s a way that the starry interior of his cloak reflects your eyes that makes him so happy. You two watch trivia game shows together and you two always get excited when he’d be the winner if he were a contestant that day.

However, this one day sticks out in your mind. 

There are two near empty bowls of buckwheat soba noodles that were made with the rube goldberg machine above your heads. You two are watching a game show like you always do. However, you realize that he had not been saying the answers like he normally did. You are wrapped in his arms and you have a hand in his soft white hair. You always liked when you two cuddled up under a soft blanket while watching your favorite shows. As he adjusts himself slightly to pull a tuft of blanket under his chin, you realize that he’s fallen asleep. 

You turn off the TV. The bowls of soba can wait to go into the dishwasher until slightly later. Right now, was just the perfect time to rest there with your overworked and exhausted scientist boyfriend. You nestle yourself into his body and listen to the sound of his breathing and his heartbeat. Besides, for such a lean man, he’s got some serious strength. He is practically holding you in a death grip, so there’s no chance of escaping anyway. He places his face against your collarbone while he sleeps. You turn your head slightly to kiss him on the temple.

He looks so peaceful while he sleeps, it almost makes you forget all of the nearly world-ending things that Asuka has done. He’s not wearing his cloak and he’s all snug in comfy home clothes. He mumbles in his sleep as well, saying things that you think sound like “I love you” as he rests there peacefully. You watch the minutes tick by slowly, and you also start feeling sleepy. You whisper the spell that he taught you to turn off the lights. As the lights go out, you get cozy under the blanket and fall asleep as well.

After some time, you start to return to wakefulness. You feel a very light bumping. You have one of your arms draped around the shoulders of your boyfriend as he holds you to walk upstairs. When he finally sets you down in bed, he gets into bed as well and faces you.

“You always tell me to sleep in a proper bed, maybe you should listen to your own advice,” he says. He holds out a hand and you take it. He pulls you close until your foreheads are touching. He wraps his arms around you again and you’re back in his loving vice grip.

“I love you, Asuka,” you whisper.

“I love you too, (name),” he whispers back, “more than you could ever fathom.”

With that, you two fall asleep. It’s the best night of sleep you’ve ever gotten and it was all because of your beloved Asuka.

• Venom’s sitting on the sofa, but he stands up when you come in the room
