Chapter Text

Two years later.

A white wolf looked in the mirror with a melancholy smile. He remembered the moment all the color drained from his face. When vicious claws started tearing at his hide, the sick laughter as he begged for mercy, the disgusting cocks forced inside him like weapons of torture. The love of his life absolutely eviscerated them but it wasn’t enough, he realized. It would never be enough and that’s the thought that frightened him now.

Legosi looked at his body, the dresses he wore hung so loosely from his thin frame. He had lost all his muscle and so much body fat too, he would only eat when the lions fed him. Gouhin brought him some nutrition shakes last time he came to check on him and he needed an IV because he was so dehydrated. He used to eat so much, sometimes two or three more helpings when no one was looking. He loved to eat, he loved to play silly games where he chased a ball, he loved sad movies, he loved life. This pressure, this responsibility was too much for him but he took it on thinking that it would make him feel safe again. As if having so many who feared and looked up to him would shelter him from ever being hurt again but…that thought was dangerous, especially given the life he chose.

“Legosi?” Louis came up from behind him and wrapped his arms around his waist. “Oh hey, honey…I’m just, thinking.” He said with his feminine voice. Every time he spoke it felt like an out of body experience. Like he was watching himself outside of himself. It had been like that since they moved from the black market to Louis’s penthouse. “About nothing sad, I hope.” Louis kissed the wolf’s exposed shoulder. “No, there’s just a few things on my mind, nothing to worry about.” Legosi assured, Louis looked at him skeptically, “Why don’t you get dressed, love? It’s almost dinner time and the boys planned something special for our anniversary.” Louis said as he opened up the closet. It was a huge walk in closet filled with all sorts of designer clothes and shoes.

Louis spared no expense when it came to Legosi. Today the wolf felt daring and decided to wear a black mini dress with the cutest puffy sleeves. He wasn’t concerned about anyone seeing his scars anymore. Sometimes he felt like he wasn’t even there. That had to be concerning but of course he would never say anything to Louis. He wanted them to be happy, after everything, even if he had to fake it until he made it. He put on the most perfect set of lingerie and picked out his shoes and finally a bag.

Since he started wearing dresses, Legosi realized that he loved purses and wondered why men didn’t carry bags. He kept his phone in there, his wallet, his pistol, a pack of gum and some lube. “Wow…” Free gasped as the wolf stepped off the elevator. “What a beauty!” Hino concurred, even Sabu blinked slowly at Legosi unable to take his eyes off him as he opened the door. This time, Legosi ate as much as he could manage, he sipped a little bit of wine until it gave him a headache, and they managed to make him laugh. The night went even better than Louis had expected and he was thankful for the joy that lit up the wolf’s face.

Louis convinced the manager of a insectarium to keep that part of the museum open so that Legosi could see it. He was so excited that he took out his phone to take pictures. Free stayed by the door because he was afraid of bugs. Afterwards, he took Legosi shopping. The wolf bought a laptop,a tablet, and a smartwatch. When they were leaving Legosi ran into a dollar store but he didn’t show them what he bought. This piqued Hino’s curiosity. Exhausted from being around so many animals in public Legosi asked if they could go home. “Legosi?” The familiar voice panicked him and he tried to run but walked right into Dolph’s chest.

“Hey, don’t you remember me? It’s Pina!” The strange dall sheep reached out to tough him, Legosi flinched. “I don’t know you.” He muttered. The lions put themselves between Pina and Legosi. “Sure you do! We went to school together. Wow, you look so different now, you pull off a dress well. I know that brand, it’s not cheap.”

“Hey…leave him alone.” Louis snapped. Pina didn’t look the least bit intimidated, but he noticed how thin the wolf got and the scars on his legs. There was a story here and he wanted to know what it was. “You look like you’re busy…here,” Pina wrote his number down on a piece of paper he had in his bag. “Call me, we should catch up.” Legosi turned reaching for the number and taking it.

Pina leaned up and kissed Legosi on the cheek. “I’m so glad you’re okay.” He said. “Thank you.” Legosi murmured with the slightest smile. “Pina…let’s go.” Said the female ram behind him at she looked nervous between Louis and the lions. He looked back at her, “Yes, darling, let’s.” He said with a charming smile. He turned back to Legosi, “Bye, handsome…bye, Louis.” He said as he walked past the deer. There was a soft flapping sound, Louis looked down to see that Legosi’s tail was wagging against his Dolph’s leg.

When they got home, Legosi didn’t seem bothered. “Are you okay?” Louis asked. Legosi blinked at him. “Of course I am!” He smiled. “Tonight was amazing, but I need to go see grandpa. I’ll be back.” Legosi said as he slipped off the heels and ran back towards the elevator. On the floor beneath them, Gosha had an apartment. It was more room than he knew what to do with but he was happy to be with his grandson again. There was a knock on the door, he got off the couch and jogged over to it, opening the door. “Legosi! How are you? I thought tonight was your anniversary?” The Komodo asked as Legosi ran inside, he took out a paper bag and opened it, pulling out a tennis ball. “Can we play a little?” Asked the wolf, Gosha’s eyes widened with a little chuckle. “Sure!” He said, taking the ball from him.

Back in the back alley market, a secret meeting was taking place. Ton, Kan, and the rest of the inarigumi were hidden away in the basement of an old wine shop. There, they found trusted allies in animals they never thought they would meet. Kiri, son of deceased Madaragumi leader Miso. Nami and Nisa, the sisters of Ponzu. Taya, Mina and Kiyo, the mother, sister, and brother of Su. And Viko, Ten’s former fiancée. “I’m sure you’re all aware that the Shishigumi have abandoned the black market for greener pastures uptown,” Ton began, “However, with our place put to action, getting to Legosi and Louis is still very much possible. What happened to that wolf was horrible but his actions afterward were demented and deadly and took away so many who were dear to us.” She continued.

She got up, going over to a box to and straining to open it with a crowbar. She pulled out a Glock 17. “We’re going to avenge the one we lost and take back the black market. And when we go, peace will be restored in this city as well as within ourselves. Are you all on board?” She asked. Looking at each other, they all began to nod. “I’m in.” Viko said. “For Ten.”

“As am I,” Taya said. “They hurt a lot of animals and tore apart families that didn’t deserve it. There has to be some kind of justice for them.” “Yeah!” The others echoed. Ton exhaled, “Good…get ready. Because this will not be easy.” She said.

Legosi had come back some time in the wee hours of the morning. When Louis woke up, he was wrapped in the wolf’s arms. Legosi stirred as Louis turned to face him. “Hey you,” Louis rasped, “Where have you been? We didn’t even get to…” The wolf kissed him. “I was with grandpa, I’ve been feeling kind of…like I miss him and other things, lately. I didn’t mean to neglect you.” Legosi kissed him again. “So something HAS been bothering you…sweetheart, you need to tell me these things. It’s important.” Louis chided, holding the wolf close to his chest. “It’s been a peaceful time for us. I don’t want to drag you back with the nonsense that clouds my mind. It’d be easier to just to forget I said anything.” The wolf mumbled into Louis’s fur.

There was silence for a moment as Louis thought about how he was going to approach this.

“What are some things that you miss?” He asked.

Legosi’s brow furrowed. “I don’t know…A lot of things.” He said. Louis’s phone started buzzing in his jacket. He sighed, getting up and going over to the chair to pull it out. “VB” the ID read, Louis answered quickly. “What is it?” There was a paused as he listened to whoever was speaking, his ear flicked at the sounds of a female voice speaking urgently over the receiver. “That sounds like something you should be able to handle. I’ll send some of the boys to…” He huffed in annoyance. “Fine.” He hung up. Louis turned to see the wolf’s confused expression. “Looks like there’s trouble downtown, I have a meeting this morning, I’ll deal with it later.” He went grabbed a towel and head into the bathroom.

Legosi sat up. “What sort of trouble?” He asked. “Apparently, a new gang is trying to strong arm their way into inarigumi territory.” Louis said as he put the shower on. “What? Why wouldn’t they call me?” Legosi felt anger right in his chest as he sat up and got out of the bed. “I don’t know, but I’ll handle it.” Louis said. “What?” Legosi shook his head, “No, we’re supposed to be a team. Besides, I’m the one who took over their gang. They should be consulting me.” The wolf could no longer hold back his frustration as he raised his voice.

“Shh, it’s okay baby.” Louis tried to quiet him.

“No! Why are they undermining me. Am I some sort of joke to them?” Legosi yelled.

The lions were gathering outside the door as they heard Legosi. Hino was especially concerned. Legosi never yelled, never at Louis. They wondered what was going on. “No! It’s not…it’s not that they don’t respect you.” Louis rubbed at his neck. “Then why, Louis? I’m their boss-“ “It’s because you’re sick!” Louis said, clasping a hand over his muzzle as he realized he said something he didn’t mean to say out loud. “I…what?” Legosi stammered. Louis went over, wrapping his arms around him and bringing him over to the mirror. He was able to easily pull down the lace nightie and exposed Legosi’s naked body to the mirror. “Look at you, Legosi. You’re so thin for someone your height. You have nightmares, you flinch when we get too close to you.” Louis pointed out. Legosi wrapped his arms over his chest.

“You’ve gotten better since we left the market. The guys…and me…we didn’t want to leave. But we knew that you couldn’t recover if you stayed buried back there.” Louis rubbed his back as Legosi took a shuddering breath. “So you’re coddling me? I thought I proved that I could run the organization when you went away. I thought I proved to you that I could do it…” He said, Louis turned him around so that they faced each other. “Me, Gouhin, your grandfather…we all know what an effective leader you could be. But when I look at you…” Louis reached up to gently caress the wolf’s muzzle,

“I see so much sadness. You said it yourself, you miss who you were before…”

“Before it was raped from me.” Legosi pushed his hand away. “Then go…you always need to do things on your own. I won’t stop you.” Legosi reached down, picked up his nightie and slipped his arms back through the slim sleeves. “Legosi, please don’t be angry.” Louis pleaded. “How can I not be? I’ll never be anything more than…a victim. A mental patient humored by his mob boss husband.” Legosi walked toward the door and Louis ran for him, grabbing his hand.

“Husband?” He asked. “Yeah, Louis. I wanted to get married.” Legosi said, wiping at his eyes. “Wanted?” Louis’s eyes widened and welled up but he kept the tears at bay.

“Wanted.” Legosi twisted the knife, he only wanted to make Louis feel as hurt at he felt in that moment. “Please…don’t be too hasty, we’ll…talk about it when I get back.” Louis said. “Alright?” “Fine.” Louis let go of him, letting him leave. He grabbed his phone and opened the door to see Hino looking down at him. “Is everything alright?” The pale lion asked as he gripped the wolf’s shoulders, rubbing his arms. “I’m fine, I just need to be alone for a while.” Legosi said. Hino nodded, reluctantly letting go of him. Legosi went out on the patio.

The sun warmed his fur as it continued to rise in the sky. Legosi looked at his phone, there were so many names, but he wanted to talk to someone outside of who he was now. He found his newest number and sent him a text.

Legosi
Hey

Pina
Who’s this?

Legosi
It’s me, Legosi

Pina
Oh hey! The knockout in the little black dress. We were supposed to catch a killer together, you know.

Legosi
Sorry, I was trying to learn a few things so I could come back and see if I could apprehend him. He kicked my ass a few times and I didn’t even know it was him. But…it worked out in the end, I guess.

Pina
Why did you just leave? Did you change your appearance because you’re on the run or something.

Legosi
No…I nearly died and this is just how I express myself now.

Pina
Hmm…vague. I got the day off, but I want to see you. Your lion friends won’t eat me right? They seem to like Louis just fine

Legosi laughed.

Legosi
No, they won’t eat you. I’ll send someone to come get you. I…could really use a friend right now.

He hoped Pina wouldn’t be too put off by their encounter to want to visit him.

Pina
Sure. I’m at 22 Magpie Ave, when do you want me?

Legosi
Right now.

Legosi exited their chat to open the one he had with free.

Legosi
I need you to pick someone up at this address. Don’t hurt him, tell no one, and bring him straight to me.

Free
Sure!

Legosi was suddenly cast in shadow, he felt a strange presence looming over him. He looked up to see Sabu tilting his head curiously as he stared down at him. “Has Louis left?” Legosi asked. Sabu nodded slowly. “Good.”

Sabu sat beside him, staring intensely as if trying to ask a question with his eyes. “Nothing’s wrong.” Legosi sighed. “Nothing I can’t handle…contrary to what some animals in this house might think.” He spat bitterly. Sabu reached over and put his hand on the wolf’s knee. “I know you care, I just…” Legosi shook his head, trying to sort his thoughts. “I don’t want anyone looking down on me like I’m broken. Not after I worked so fucking hard to glue myself back together. Of course some pieces would be missing…” He trailed.

Sabu took Legosi’s hand, and stood. “Where are we going?” Legosi asked. There was no answer as the lion gently pulled him along.

Chapter Text

Their pent house had a series of hidden rooms both outdoors and indoors. Outside, a hidden entryway near the hot tub was an opening that went down into some stairs. The room was sound proof and hidden away from everyone else because a few of the lions liked their privacy. It was like a bar, fully stocked shelves of liquor behind a counter. But instead of seats for patrons was a bed and little accessories that hung on the wall behind it. It was the first Legosi had ever seen this room. He looked around, wide eyed, there were probably sex dungeons all over this place that he just hadn’t found yet. Louis made him wait a few months to make modifications before he was ready to move. When Sabu picked him up and tossed him down onto the bed, Legosi giggled. “I see, is this your way of telling me how you feel?” He asked. Sabu grunted, pulling off the nightie and throwing it across the room.

Sabu was a fiend when he wanted something bad enough. He wrapped those massive hands around the wolf’s thighs, holding his legs wide open and eyeing the hardening pink cock between his legs. “Mmphhh…” His eerie strained moan made the wolf shiver as Sabu looked away. It was like he was conflicted about something. “What’s wrong?” Legosi asked, his voice gentle. The lion ran his hand over the wolf’s chest and stomach, it was an unusually tender gesture from his fiend.

“Please…don’t be like them. Don’t treat me like I’m fragile.” The wolf begged. “Rrrrrragh…” Sabu growled, bending down to snuggle his nose into the wolf’s neck. Legosi watched as, with a shaky hand, Sabu reached behind his head removing the bandana.

Legosi gasped as Sabu raised his head. His lower jaw was missing, his long tongue hanging from what remained of the membrane that attached it to his face. His long fangs hung freely, with no upper lip to cover them. A brief moment of fear covered the wolf’s face as his breath and his heartbeat picked up. Sabu couldn’t look at him with that expression. “It must have taken everything you had to do this for me…” Legosi sobbed as he reached for the lion’s face. “Kiss me…” said the wolf.

Sabu tore off his shirt, his body covered head to due in scars. Large patches of fur missing to give way to pink scar tissue. He pulled off his jeans as well, stripping himself completely bare for Legosi for the first time. “Come…” The wolf opened his arms out for him. Sabu embraced Legosi, picking him up and sitting back on his knees before positioning his cock at his hole. The wolf took his slobbering wet tongue into his mouth as he felt that thick cock breach, slowly sliding deep inside until he was seated all the way. Legosi moaned as he sucked on Sabu’s tongue, the lion’s eyes rolled back, he had never been this vulnerable or this aroused in his life.

He held the wolf’s tail, thrusting up as he pulled Legosi down in a brutal pace. “Mmm!” Legosi moaned, wrapping his arms and legs around Sabu as he bounced on his cock. The lion held him up like he weighed nothing because he did when compared to his strength. He gripped the fur on Legosi’s head tightly, bobbing his head and fucking his mouth with the full length of his tongue, shoving it all the way down his throat and holding still as he thrust into him wildly, the room filled with Legosi’s impassioned moans and the crackling sounds of a precum slicked cock sliding in and out of his stretched hole.

The wolf pounded on Sabu’s chest for him to draw back and let him up. “Rmph!” The lion grunted as he lay him down slowing just a bit to take a look back at his saliva soaked face and chest. “AH! Fuck, fuck….AH FUCK!” Legosi screamed as Sabu’s sharp claws dug into the nape of his neck, fucking him with furious thrusts so hard he curled into himself, legs dangling limply as the wolf helplessly pushed back on Sabu’s thighs.

The lion licked at the tear streaks on Legosi’s face as the wolf accepted his tongue into his mouth once more. “Mmm! Mmm…” Legosi moaned, cumming hard over his belly and chest. Sabu snarled like a possessed beast, pulling him all the way down onto his cock and filling him up. He withdrew his tongue from his mouth sliding back to lap at the cum in Legosi’s fur. The wolf chuckled weakly, “I love you too…” he smiled, running his fingers through Sabu’s mane.

“Wow…this place is beautiful.” Pina said as he looked around. The other lions scowled as they watched him parade through the lobby to the living room. “Money…is an incredible thing…” he sighed as he flopped on onto the couch. Hino smacked free in the chest, “The FUCK is he doing here?” He hissed. Free reeled. “Easy! Legosi told me to go get him, I swear!” Free pleaded his defense. Pina watched with wide eyes as a naked lion with a bandana wrapped around his face walked in through the sliding glass doors and up the stairs before coming back down with a towel. “Wow!” He said. A few minutes later Legosi appeared, wrapped in that towel as the lion (who now had pants on) held his hand and led him inside.

“Why’d you put on pants?” He teased where he sat, the lion looked at him with a confused look. “Pina, I didn’t expect you here so soon!” Legosi blushed. “I bet, any later and I would’ve missed the eyeful!” Pina laughed, Legosi did as well. He grabbed something from the side drawer as he went over to sit next to Pina. “How are you? You look thinner, have you had breakfast yet?” Asked the sheep. “No, I’ve been…distracted.” He sat beside him, Pina watched as the masked lion adjusted his pants further over his hips. “I get it.” He said with a little nod. “What’s that?” He asked as saw Legosi fiddling with something in his hand.

“A tennis ball. I bought it yesterday, but…” He tried showing the lions but they got bored easily and didn’t do it right, he didn’t blame them, they were felines after all. “Here.” Pina reached into his messenger bag and pulled out his gym sweats. “They’re clean. I didn’t go to the gym today, I came here instead.” He took the ball from Legosi. “Put em on, you’re about as small as me now.” He said. Legosi swallowed, taking them away from him. “I haven’t worn pants in a while…” he mumbled to himself. He unraveled the towel and slipped them on, they fit snugly. It was a strange feeling, then he realized he flashed Pina. “Oh! Sorry…” “It’s okay…” The sheep held up the ball.

“You want it, boy?” He teased. Legosi’s tail began to wag. “Go get it!” He said, tossing it into the open are of the penthouse lobby. Legosi chased after it, picked it up and brought it back to Pina. “Good boy! Go get it!” He threw it again, the lions had to move out of the way to let him get the ball. They did this for almost over an hour. Legosi was panting. They stopped as the sheep heard his stomach growling. “Where’s your kitchen?” He asked. “Oh… follow me. Legosi lead him to the huge kitchen, island counter, two sinks, two refrigerators, and a multipurpose microwave.

Pina opened one fridges to see it packed with meat. “Nope.” He closed it, he opened it and took out some eggs and tomatoes, he then reached into the cabinet to get some rice. “What are you doing?” Legosi asked, “Making you some food, silly.” Pina replied as he plucked a frying pan from the rack above the island. Fifteen minutes later, he put a plate in front of the wolf at the table. A healthy pile of stir fried eggs and tomatoes, fried rice, and fried potatoes. High calorie foods Hino noticed, the lions refused when he offered them some.

Legosi dug in, shoveling spoonfuls into his mouth. He attributed his renewed appetite to the game they played earlier. Pina’s green salad wasn’t even half finished when Legosi scooped the last spoonful into his mouth. “Was it good?” Asked the sheep. “It was, thank you.” Legosi drank his iced tea down.

“So…are you going to tell me what happened? Why’d you run away and dye your fur?” Pina asked after a beat of silence. “Someone hurt me…and I lost all my color.” Legosi said flatly. “They raped you didn’t they?” Pina asked. The lions loomed behind him, it was a silent warning to watch what he said next. Pina showed no fear. Legosi didn’t respond. “I know what it looks like…cause it happened to me too.” He said as he sipped his water. The wolf looked at him blinking slowly in realization. “I remember these phases well, fear, depression, starving myself, wanting to fuck all the time…not wanting to fuck at all…numbing myself with drugs…”

Legosi felt an ache of sadness in his chest that nearly overwhelmed him. “God, Pina…I’m sorry-“ Pina cut him off by putting a hand over his muzzle. “We’re survivors, Legosi, not victims…and the last thing we need is pity.” He said. Legosi swallowed, grasping his hand over Pina’s as he nodded in understanding.

Chapter Text

Louis made his way to the shishigumi base that new served as the inarigumi base. They ran all minor operations, from meat shipments to collecting dues, while the Dokugumi ran riskier operations such as fur, bloodbone cooking, and the newly renovated gladiatorial arena. Business was booming in the black market, which is why his surprise had dissipated after hearing from the inarigumi that another gang was threatening their businesses. He didn’t like that, he didn’t like his standing, his position, in the criminal underworld being threatened. If he lost that power, he couldn’t protect Legosi or the shishigumi, so they had to be dealt with swiftly.

He had Miguel and Jinma with him and he called on the help of the Dokugumi as well who sent Smog and Co2 to lend a hand. There was no way that anyone wouldn’t cower at the threat of being absolutely decimated by the single force that ran the entire black market. Of that, he was sure. Still, something about all this was bothering him. He couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off about the situation. He had never told them not to call Legosi for these types of problems.

Louis was just as shocked as the wolf when they made that move, but hearing Legosi express his frustration made him say things that he didn’t realize were coming out of his mouth until it was too late and the wolf had already stormed off. The deer absolutely hated leaving things they way they were. He wanted to go back home as quickly as possible so he could figure out what he could do to fix things. Legosi was the most important thing in his life next to his work, and he in the worst of blunders had made him feel small. After everything, the wolf did prove his leadership prowess, Louis felt he had no right to say that he couldn’t handle this just because he was sick.

He was still getting off the physical effects of the rape, the pain medication, the healing scars, the nightmares. All that was happening as the wolf took the reins of the black market while Louis visited with Ibuki and his father. He sighed. He hated when others undermined his strength and he had the nerve to do it someone whose strength was unmatched. Legosi should have been here. “Is this the only back up you brought? I mean, there are a lot more lions in your organization.” Ton said as she made her way down the stairs. “The others are with Legosi, now tell me what the problem is. Who do we have to kill so I could go home to him as well.” Louis demanded.

“It used to be that this was your home…you loved this place. What happened?” She asked. “My home is where my wolf is, he’s still healing and I need you get back to him.” Louis insisted as he paced the floor. “Fine…then we’ll make this quick.” The two lions fell to the floor as they were hit from behind, the Komodo’s turned around and were sprayed in the eyes with something orange inside a black cannister with a trigger. They fell to their knees, and were quickly bound at the wrists. Their masks preventing them from weaponizing their venom. “What is this?!” Louis shouted as he reached for his gun and aiming at Ton. One of the attackers, a male fox held a gun to Miguel’s head.

“How much do you really care about these lions?” He growled. Slowly, Louis lowered the gun and an older female leopard took it from. “So what do we do now?” She asked. “First we establish ourselves as the new authority in the black market.” Ton said as she pulled her phone from her bra. “We have Louis, so the organization will be forced to hand over its operations and its assets if they want him back alive.” Kan added. “Who are these people?” Louis asked as he looked around at the strange combination of animals that surrounded him. “We’re the families of the ones you slaughtered. Don’t you remember? You killed my father.” Louis turned to the young leopard who bore a striking resemblance to Miso.

“Ah, I see…you wanna know what kind of animal your father was? Your father who got off on watching his men rape my boyfriend, and then forced himself on him as well. Your father who when that wasn’t enough for him, beat him so bad that when I went to the hospital…I couldn’t even recognize him. Your father who has my wolf…waking up in the middle of the night screaming ‘please just kill me’ because he has nightmares of still being underneath him. That father? He could burn in hell.” Louis snarled. The kid’s eyes widened in horror and disbelief. He looked at Ton. “He really did all those things?” He murmured.

“Hey! Don’t forget why you’re here!” The older female leopard scolded. “Oh? I think you all should know what kind of monsters you’re trying to get retribution for. But you’ll all fail and my organization will bury you as well.” He turned back to the kid, “it’s a shame, you look like you’re barely 18.” The deer threw his hands up in mock submission. “I’m ready to be taken to the torture chambers and beaten up or whatever.” He muttered flatly. Ton and Kan looked at each other. “There’s a torture chamber?” Ton asked. “Yeah? It’s downstairs next to the broom closet. You guys never had one?” Louis asked.

“No! What the hell is wrong with you?” Kan grimaced. “We’ve always managed to use our words to get what we needed.”

Louis chuckled, shaking his head. “Well, when words fail, pain is a great motivator.” He said with a smirk. Ton finally made it to the bottom of the stairs and stood face to face with Louis. “We’ll keep that in mind.” She said.

Hino was in a very, very sour mood. Pina was staying the night with them and Legosi had been with him all day. The wolf ordered dinner for the lions from their favorite restaurant and ate what Pina made for them. Stuffed bell peppers with a spinach and ricotta lasagna, they even had ice cream for dessert. The sheep made sure they stayed at that table until every last piece was eaten and the wolf was full. Now, he watched as they sat outside on the lounge chairs by the pool staring up at what few stars they could see.

“What’s wrong with you?” Free asked, disturbing his brooding thoughts. “He’s wearing pants, he took a shower and put the pants on again. I haven’t spoken to him…held him, or fucked him all day. I know it’s wrong but…Rex help me, it’s starting to piss me off.” He grumbled bitterly. “Hey, relax he’s just happy to see his friend. That’s what we want right? For him to be happy? Especially after the morning he had…” Free pointed out. “I know…” Hino rubbed at his face in frustration. “But I want to be the one to make him smile like that. And that laugh…it’s beautiful, but he doesn’t sound like himself, he sounds…”

“Like a man? I know. Let me ask you something…” Free scratched his nose trying to figure out if it was a good idea to finish that sentence, but it needed to be said. “Did you fall in love with him because you liked him or because you liked that he needed you?” He finally asked. Hino’s expressions were almost always unreadable but for a moment, his brow creased into a brief flash of anger. “He still needs me.” Hino said, avoiding the question. “Guys, we got trouble…”They turned around as Agata approached them. “Dolph got a call from Louis’s phone. It was the Inarigumi. They’ve taken him hostage and they want Legosi to hand over the black market.” He said.

Free looked out the window at the wolf who looked genuinely relaxed for the first time in a long time. “We have to tell him.” Hino slid open the glass door. “No.” Free said, pulling it closed. “We’ll get the others together and go get him…set up some traps for the foxes.” He countered instead. Hino huffed. “You’re doing it too?” Free looked at him. “What?” He asked. “Acting like he’s made of glass.” Hino accused. “No, I’m not. I want him to be well, I want him to feel safe for a change.” Free said. “He’s our boss, we need to tell him the truth-“ Hino began. “Louis is our boss.” Free growled, stepping up to Hino so they were nose to nose. “I’m not damaging him so you could fix him, get the guys and we’ll meet downstairs. Agata, you will stay with Legosi. I’ll get in touch with Savon…” “Who do you think you are giving me orders?” The pale lion spat.

“I’ve always been second in command since Ibuki left. You got a problem? Get the fuck out, just know that you could never come back or else you’ll get a bullet in your head.” Free warned with an icy stare that Hino returned in kind.

Legosi and Pina came in from the pool to see that there were only two lions in the living room. “What’s going on? Where is everyone?” He asked. Agata pulled him in for a kiss, “They went on a job, we didn’t want to bother you while you were having so much fun with your friend. They’ll be back soon!” Agata smiled sweetly. “Oh…well, Pina is staying with us tonight. I’m gonna show him the guest room.” Agata nodded, eyeing him as they head towards the stairs. “He’s wearing pants.” He whispered to Dolph. “I know…that’s a good thing, right?” Dolph looked at him, Agata. “The panda would think so.” Agata sighed. “Where’s Melon?” Dolph asked as they sat together on the couch. “He’s working, he still does his gig at the university.” The younger lion shook off his suit jacket, tossing it over the arm of the couch and reaching for the TV remote. “What’s with you two? You seem…closer, lately.” Dolph raised a brow as Agata chuckled.

“I love him…and I hate him. I wish we lived in a world where males could get pregnant. He’d be barefoot and naked in the kitchen, cooking for me, his belly big and round with my cub inside.” Agata had to pat Dolph’s back as the older lion choked on the first drag of the cigarette he had just lit. “So just…get a woman!” Dolph laughed between coughs. “It’s not about that, it’s about taming him. It’s making him…a vessel for me and telling the whole world ‘Yes…this is mine, I mixed our blood together.’” Agata said. Dolph could help but be a bit unnerved by his definition of love but at the same time, he had to wonder if it was mutual. “How does he feel about that?” He ventured to ask.

“When we’re alone together, he’s different. He would hate if anyone else saw him the way that I do. He said he loved me, but that he didn’t know what that meant. That he only said it because it meant something to him. I want to show him what it means.” The look in Agata’s eyes was determined as he thought about his lover. “Give him a break, it wasn’t long ago you were forcing yourself on him. That’s…impossible to forgive, for most.” Dolph reminded. Agata nodded slowly. “The first night we moved here…I begged him to forgive me. He said he did, and told me that if I touched him and he said no, I was to leave him alone. I agreed. Still, when I see him walk through the door covered in the blood of whatever poor soul he came across that day…I just can’t help myself.” Agata shook his head with a little grin.

“No one leaves the black market the same as they went in. I guess now it takes…a little more violence to get you off. I remember back when I first met you, kinkiest thing you ever did was spank a girl. Now you’re in love with a mass murderer.” Dolph said, they both chuckled. Dolph frowned as their laughter subsided. “I hate lying to Legosi.” He said hushedly. “You heard what Free said, we need to protect him. It’s what Louis would want, so that’s what we’ll do.” Agata said. Dolph conceded. “Fine.”He said, getting up and going into the kitchen.

Upstairs Legosi had Pina some of Louis’s pajamas to wear to bed. He showed Pina the one of the guest rooms, but Pina wanted to spend more time with him. So they lay together, side by side on the big bed in the master bedroom, watching a movie together on Pina’s phone. “I love sad movies.” Legosi said as he sprawled out of the mattress. “You’re a drama queen like me!” Pina laughed. “I think it’s amazing how you have your own uh…concubines? I mean, they really go out of their way to make sure nothing upsets you.” Pina said. Legosi looked away. “They think of me as their queen. Something for them to fuck and protect, but I’ve become to weak to really rule over anyone…apparently.” He spat, his mind recalling that more when Louis held him in front the mirror.

“You know, when you first disappeared, everyone in the drama club tried to look for you. Sometimes, instead of actual practice, we’d all sit around and talk about theories we had as far as where you went and why you didn’t come back. Many of them thought you were dead. Kai thought you killed someone and ran away from the cops, Ellen thought you were in jail, Els thought you eloped with a girl.” Pina recalled as he stared up at the ceiling. “What did you think?” Legosi asked. Pina sighed, lying on his side so they faced each other. “I thought you were dead. I thought you saw some sort of injustice you just couldn’t let stand, so you became a hero, and you gave your life to save someone. Just seemed like something you would do.” Pina mumbled tiredly.

“Instead I become a mob boss…and a killer. I’m sorry to disappoint you.” Legosi laughed weakly. “You didn’t disappoint me at all. You’re alive. That’s what I wanted. I wanted to be wrong and I wanted you to be alive.” He took the wolf’s hand and squeezed it. “Tell me…if you’re worried that they think you’ve gotten weak, then what could you do to show them that you haven’t?” The sheep asked. “I run a small sect on my own in the black market. A gang of red foxes. I kill their leader after she…let that…happen to me. And I took over, apparently there was a problem this morning and they called Louis instead of me. I think Louis told everyone to take it easy on me. So now, I don’t even run the gang I took over. He insisted I stay here so he could fix the problem.” Legosi explained as he twirled the long wool around Pina’s face with his finger.

“Then go anyway. Go, and take care of whatever it is. A queen lets her actions speak for her, she doesn’t sit on her hands and do nothing.” Pina said. Slowly, Legosi turned onto his back. “You’re right…I don’t know why I let myself feel defeated so easily.”

“Because you didn’t realize that both things could be true. You could still be suffering from the terrible thing that happened, you could still need help and be a strong person. You’re not one or the other, you’re both.” Pina said. “Thank you, Pina. You always know what to say to make me think about things.” Legosi said, his voice quiet. “Of course, I have an analytical mind that’s always trying to take things apart or turn them on their heads to understand them better…” Pina trailed.

“Who hurt you, Pina? Is that okay for me to ask?” Legosi looked at him. “After you left…I was suspicious that Riz was the one who devoured Tem. I taunted him, trying to get him to admit to what he did. But he outsmarted me, knocked me out and dragged me under some overpass. I woke up and he was on top of me. A cop happened by and saw us, he thought I was being devoured. Riz went to jail after that.” Pina’s eyes glistened as he swallowed the ache in his throat.

“I should have been there to help you.” The wolf lamented with a sob. “Shh, it’s okay. You were fighting your own battles somewhere else. I don’t blame you for that.” Pina reassured.

The morning came, Legosi woke up to the sounds of loud arguing downstairs. Slowly, he got up out of bed and went to the closet to get a towel for his shower. Then a brief glimpse in the mirror caused him to do a double take. He thought he looked strange and looked closer, examining his reflection. After a while he left to investigate what the noise was coming from the kitchen. “I don’t care, breakfast is my thing, you could do any other meal except breakfast!” Agata pouted, his tail waving in agitation. “Look, I’m Legosi’s guest and he told me to make myself at home. I’m just taking up on his offer!” Pina rebutted. “I don’t care what he said!” Agata snatched the wooden spoon from Pina’s hand.

“Is that so?” All eyes turned to the wolf who looked them from the above, a few steps short of the bottom. The wrinkled brow and way he looked his nose down at the young lion made it clear that he was looking up at an angry queen. Agata stiffened as Legosi came down the stairs, standing face to face with him. Agata handed the spoon back to Pina and bowed, “I apologize, my queen. I didn’t mean that at all.” He quickly expressed his regret. “There’s been a lot of that, lately. Lions who don’t care what I have to say.” Legosi walked past. “No, that’s not true, it was just a very poor choice of words on my part. It won’t happen again.” The dark-furred lion swore. “See that it doesn’t.” Legosi sneered, turning back towards the stairs.

“Now come on, instead of arguing with me the whole time, you could’ve been helping.” Pina lead Agata towards the fridge. “Fine.” The lion sighed. Upstairs, Legosi got into the shower. He let the warm water flow down his body, releasing his tension, taking his time to get to know his body again. He ran his hand over each arm, the backs of each tricep where raised pink scars covered them some of them inflicted, others self-inflicted, and his legs where behind them were claw marks over each thigh. Reminders of being spread apart and violated. He turned around and let the stream hit his mangled back scars all down and across. This body that worked so hard to keep him alive looked like it had fought several wars.

He faced the water once more, reaching down and tentatively grasping his flaccid cock. He pulled back the foreskin, gently rolling his thumb around the sensitive tip. ‘This is my body. Not the madaragumi’s, not the shishigumi’s, not even Louis’s…just mine.’ He thought to himself. There was a knock at the door, “Come in.” He said, the door opened and it was Dolph. “Are you alright? You’ve been in there for a while.” He asked. Legosi took a deep breath, nodding. “Dolph…come here.” He said, the lion walked in, closing the door. “Do me a favor,” Said the wolf. “Anything.” Dolph said. “I ordered something yesterday, go get it and bring it back to me. Then, we’re going to the black market to help Louis.” Legosi ordered.

Dolph panicked, his fur bristling. He wasn’t as good at making up excuses as Free, Dope or Ibuki. He didn’t know what to do to convince the wolf to give the others time to bring Louis back. “A-alright…” He turned around to reach for the door and stopped, looking back at Legosi. He took off his jacket, then his dress shirt. Legosi watched him from the corner of his eye, when he was naked, he slid the shower door open and stepped inside. The warm water hitting his broad chest. “Did I not just give you a job to do?” The wolf raised a brow, insolence was not in Dolph’s nature. “I missed you…please, may I…” the lion reached out, gently touching his back. He lifted both Legosi’s arms, stretching them out and propping him against the shower wall. “You may.” Legosi said. Dolph exhaled in relief. He stroked his fat cock with one hand whined spread apart the wolf’s ass, his thumb tracing circles around his hole.

He positioned himself, pressing the thick head inside of him. Legosi opened his legs wider, the lion wrapped his huge hands over his slender hips as he rammed his cock deep, making his legs shake. He rubbed his hands up Legosi’s sides wringing water from his wet fur reaching for his chest. Legosi moaned in approval as he held his back to his chest, the pads of his middle fingers rubbing circles around his nipples sending ripples of pleasure straight to the wolf’s cock. Fast, rough strokes had him bouncing on the lion’s cock. Legosi reached back, squeezing Dolph’s thighs. Dolph kissed from the bottom of his ear, down his neck to his shoulder, the tenderness a silent apology for his deception.

“Ah! Fuck!” The wolf held back his voice with a breathy gasp as he came. Dolph groaned, as he released as well, the wolf backed up on it, grinding his hips down and milking him. After a while, he opened his eyes to see Legosi looking up at him. “You’re trying to distract me, aren’t you? Why?” His voice was deeper now, more grave. Dolph gulped. “Tell me. Now.” The wolf demanded.

When the spread was finally laid out on the table. Agata and Pina heard heavy footsteps coming down the stairs quickly. Agata looked up to see Dolph tearing across the living room down to the lobby and calling the elevator, getting in. All without shoes. Legosi came down as well, wrapped in a robe. He sat at the table, Pina put a plate in front of him piled high. Legosi thanked him and started eating. Agata’s nerves were beginning to bother him and he wanted to know why Dolph had left in such a hurry. More than halfway through the meal, Pina could sense the tension between the two animals and sighed dramatically. “Alright, out with it already! What’s wrong?” He asked finally.

Legosi finished off his plate before drinking down the rest of his orange juice. “Louis was kidnapped.” He said flatly. “Everyone but me knew my organization went rogue and is trying to get us to hand over the black market,” he took another muffin and cut it in two, spreading butter over it. Agata’s body tensed such that he couldn’t move a muscle, his eyes down, avoiding both their gazes. “I’m-“

“Isn’t that funny? How everyone just decided one day to take all my power away from me…” Legosi jumped up, knocking his chair over. With incredible force, he kicked the chair out from under Agata. “You’re just like those FUCKING rapists!” He screamed. Agata scrambled to bow his head down to floor at Legosi’s feet. “I’m sorry! I’m so sorry, no one wanted to keep it from you. Hino was going to tell you as soon as we found out but he said he was second in command, and he took the others to try and get them back.” Agata cried as Dolph returned, carrying a bag in his band.

The wolf took the empty plate and slammed it into the floor next to Agata’s head, the shards grazing his cheek. “No more. No more lies! No more trying to shelter me. Both of you, go. Bring the car around.” Legosi growled, his eyes wide, crazed with anger and desperation. He took the package from Dolph then turned to Pina who for the first time since he had arrived and stood there with an expression of fear. “You’re welcome to stay, but there’s something I need to do.” He said, storming out of the kitchen. Pina collected himself and ran after the wolf.

“Wait!” He said, grabbing Legosi. “You’ll need more help than that. What if the guys that went after them got hurt? You could be walking into a trap!” He said, eyes pleading as the wolf looked him up and down with a slowly softening scowl. “Fine. Agata, Dolph! That car had better be downstairs by the time I’m ready.” The wolf warned.

Melon had just finished his 3pm lecture, it was his last class of the day and he made his way through campus to the courtyard where passing students and the occasional teacher waved him goodbye. It when he got to the bottom of the steps to the street, he could sense a familiar presence. “Agata?” He turned to face the lion who was wearing dark sunglasses and looking around cautiously. “We talked about this…this my place.” He reminded. “I know, and I’m sorry. But we need your help, Louis was kidnapped by the Inarigumi and Legosi is getting everyone together to go and help them.” The lion moved away as others moved past them. He made sure they were gone before turning back to Melon. The hybrid sighed. “Where are the other lions?” He asked, squeezing the space between his brows.

“We don’t know. Free left with Sabu and Hino to try to handle it themselves. But they won’t answer any of our calls. We think something happened.” Agata said. “Why would they try to handle it alone?” Melon asked. “Lately, we’ve all been worried that Legosi has been getting worse. In the beginning his new attitude was a coping mechanism but…it’s like he’s deteriorating physically. We don’t want to lose him because we didn’t help him enough.” Agata looked at his feet, his ears swiveling, listening for anyone approaching. “So you kitties thought it would be a good idea not to tell him and then try to go at it alone.” Melon deduced with an amused lilt, as he crossed his arms. “Yeah…but then he found out.” Agata admitted. Melon snorted, “How’d that go over?” He asked. “He…kicked me out of a chair and threw a plate at me. “ The lion spat on the sidewalk.

Melon giggled. “Fine. Let’s go. Where’s the car?” He started walking. “Around the corner.” Agata mumbled. “Follow close behind me.” Melon said.

Gosha knocked on the door, in his have was a bag of snacks and an old dvd he found while looking through some boxes. The last time he had seen Legosi, the wolf looked down and he wanted to check on him. There was no answer for some time and he knocked again. “Uh…who is it?” Asked an unfamiliar voice on the other side. “I-it’s me! Gosha!” He replied. “Who’s Gosha?” The person asked, the Komodo was perplexed as he looked around the hallway. “Legosi’s grandpa. Who are you?” Gosha asked, his expression baffled. “Oh grandpa!” The door unlocked and slowly opened. “I’m Pina. And…you’re no wolf.” He observed. “And you’re no lion.” Gosha countered.

Oh, uh….Come in!” The sheep reached for his shirt and pulled him in. “Sorry about that, I was supposed to be an overnight guest but then…everyone had to go.” Pina frowned as hopped onto the couch. “Oh…what a shame, I thought Legosi wasn’t feeling well.” Gosha put the bag down and sat in on a chair. “He’s…I mean…” Pina wasn’t sure how much he knew about Legosi’s business and didn’t want to be the one to accidentally spill the beans. “Is it market business?” The Komodo asked suddenly. “Yeah…” Pina murmured. A shadow was cast over him, he looked up as Gosha crawled toward him. His heart caught in his throat as he tried to back away from him on the couch but there was nowhere for him to go. “Who are you, really? How much do you know about that?” He asked, the terrifying look in his eyes betrayed the gentleness of his voice.

“We’re friends from school. I saw him again the other night when he was with Louis and the lions. He invited me to stay the night. All I know is that they’re a gang and he’s their boss.” Slowly, the Komodo sat back and moved away from Pina. “I’m sorry…he’s been through a lot and I’m just…overly cautious, I guess.” He rubbed at his face looking back at Pina he put a shaking hand on his back, gently rubbing. “Yeah, I get it. But he’s not the fragile little flower everyone thinks he is. I saw first that hand this morning.” He said. “Is the air conditioning on in here, it’s a little cold.” The old Komodo rubbed at his arms in an attempt to warm up. “It is, I like it cold. I think I turned it up just a little bit ago before you came.” Pina said.

“Hm. Well, I’d better go. I’ll leave these here in case you want some.” He went to get up, Pina stopped him. “What is all this?” The sheep opened the bag, looking through its contents. “I was going to watch a movie with him and spend some time together but he’s not here.” Gosha took the dvd out and tossed it on the coffee table. Pina knew this one. It was a sad, romantic movie. “What an odd choice!” He commented. Gosha picked it up, “It’s not my sort of thing, but…it’s one of his favorites. He always liked sad movies.” Gosha said with a sort of half smile. “We could watch it…if you want. I think they’ll be gone for a while.” Pina said. Gosha thought for a moment, and handed it to him. “Sure, I’ll get some bowls for the chips.” The Komodo got up, going over to the kitchen. “Can’t we just share the bag?” Pina asked. “Hmm…better safe than sorry.” Gosha said.

Pina got up to put the dvd in the player while Gosha looked through the cabinet. He grunted as his movements became tighter. “Oh…t-too cold…” He stumbled back. “Sorry! I could turn it down…Gosha?” Pina went over to him, trying to put a steady hand on his back. Gosha turned around, trying to push him away but it was too late, he lost his balance, falling forward and landing on top of Pina. “Oof!” The fall knocked the air out of Pina as they landed on the floor. “Are you okay?” He asked, adjusting himself under Gosha so he could breathe. “It’s too cold, I can’t move.” Gosha mumbled. “Don’t get your face too close to mine.”

“Hold on…I have an idea.” Pina wriggled further down, spreading his knees. Gosha felt warms surround his middle as the sheep wrapped his arms around him. “Let’s try to warm you up…” he whispered.

-

Legosi, Melon, Dolph, and Agata arrived at the Shishigumi estate. The property was quiet, seemingly abandoned if not for the lone night visible through one of the window. “Dolph take the back, you guys try the side door, and I’ll take the window.” Melon said. “Wait…we don’t know how many there are.” Agata protested, “I
It might not just be the foxes.” He raised. “Well, we won’t know if…” Legosi left the car. “Wait!” Dolph tried to call to him without being heard. But he was already walking through the gate.

-

“You won’t get away with this…You know you won’t. So why are you doing it?” He asked Ton, who paced in front of him where he was bound on the floor beside Smog and Co2. Free held a his shirt over Hino’s stomach, repeatedly checking to make sure he was still breathing. He could only manage shuddering breaths himself through his tears. He was sure Sabu’s body had already gone cold. Ton, Kan, Viko stood around him while all the leopard kept the look out for anymore lions. “This wasn’t supposed to happen if YOU hadn’t made things so fucking difficult.” She snarked.

“You’re marked now, bitch. All of you. Might as well kill me now. Legosi will stop at nothing to destroy you and your little resistance. Why do think the other foxes didn’t stay to help you? Because they knew better.” The deer looked over at his fallen comrades and shook his head. “Legosi is a mental patient that needs to be locked up in a padded room. He’s not going after anybody!” Kan spat.

Woosh…pop! The sound of broken glass. Nami and Nisa fell to the floor, rubbing at their backs. Their hands coming away with clumps of flesh. The others aimed their guns, unsure of the direction whatever that was, came from. Woosh…pop!…Pop!…Pop! They scattered. “What the fuck is that?” Taya cried. Bang! The lock shot right off the front door. Louis didn’t recognize him at first, but it was him. His wolf, dressed in a suit and tie. “Legosi!” He gasped.

He sent two rounds into Taya who fell, “No! Mina cried for her mother, she aimed for Legosi who shot her in the head. Viko shot a few rounds which the wolf dodged, hiding behind a wall. Both Viko and Kiyo aimed shots in that direction but the wolf didn’t return fire, it went silent. Woosh…pop! A vial burst right in front of them. Komodo dragon venom splashing on to their hands. Kiyo screamed but Viko ran for the door. Ton picked Louis up, following behind him as Legosi dodged fire from Kiri, Kiyo and Kan. “Come on!” Ton called out to Kan, the fox tried to break for the door but Legosi caught her in the temple. Ton cried out in despair, Viko pulled her along.

Kiri, seeing the carnage, made a break for the front door. The young son of former madaragumi leader was met face to face with a Komodo dragon in a black mask. Kiyo couldn’t hold the gun anymore, tendons and flesh burned away to bone. He fell to his knees. The last thing he saw before he closed his eyes was Legosi walking towards him. Melon, Agata and Dolph came in through the door Ton and Viko left through with Louis.

Agata went over to Free to help Hino. “He’s hurt bad…” Free rasped. “We’ll get him to Gouhin.” Agata helped him lift Hino and they made their way to the car. “Oh my baby…my fiend…” Legosi sobbed as he lifted Sabu into his arms. Dolph looked away, his own eyes filling with tears. Savon freed Jinma and Miguel who crawled over to where Sabu lay. “I love you. You were so beautiful I hope I told you enough…I hope I showed you enough…” He nuzzled his face into Sabu’s cheek, his tears wetting him. He looked up as a big hand reached up to touch his face. Legosi looked at him, his eyes barely open. “Ahhh luhhh oooo…” It was broken, but the wolf heard it. His first profession of love.

“He needs help!” Legosi cried. Jinma and Miguel picked him up as carefully as they could. “They got away with Louis.” Savon said. “I know…but I’ll get them.” Legosi got to his feet, looking at the open where he had almost lost two of his beloved lions. “They can’t escape me. I’ll get Louis back.” He vowed.

Gosha felt his muscles beginning to loosen up, he could move his legs and his tail, “Oh!” Pina gasped as the Komodo wrapped his arms around him, effortlessly picking him up. The sheep adjusted his legs around Gosha’s waist as he carried him over to the thermostat, increasing the temperature. The room almost immediately filled with a warm blast of air. “That’s much better.” He said as he looked down at Pina who looked at him with big, blue eyes. His hand gently gripped the sheep’s ass, his tail waving between his big fingers. “Oops! Here…” he slowly set him down. “So…when you guys get too cold…” “We could become paralyzed. I’m sorry about that, it’s embarrassing, really.” Gosha tittered. “No, it’s my fault. I do that sometimes, I don’t pay enough attention to what others need. I should have adjusted the temperature when you said you were cold. Pina berated himself.

“It’s fine! Really, now come on. We have a movie to watch.” The Komodo took Pina’s smaller hand in his and lead him back towards the couch. They sat down, Gosha picked up the remote and started the movie. After a while, Pina decided to ask the question that had been nagging at him since he opened the door. “Did Legosi come out of an egg?” Gosha looked at him, eyes wide, “What?” He asked. “Komodo dragons come out of eggs, right? I mean, wouldn’t…” The sheep trailed as he noticed Gosha’s lips curl up in an amused grin. “Well, no. He didn’t. He came out the most perfect little puppy.” Gosha said. “You did a good job with him.” Pina smiled patting him on the arm gently. Gosha folded his hands in front of him, looking off at the TV screen.

“I could’ve been better about protecting him.” He said. “Don’t blame yourself. This world, it’s…completely unpredictable. There are real monsters who don’t give a fuck who they hurt. But he’ll be okay. I know he will.” Gosha nodded, not sure what to say to Pina’s rant but he had noticed that he scooted a bit closer to him. Their thighs were touching now and Gosha could feel the warmth of his wool. “Are you married?” Pina asked. “Widowed, unfortunately.” The Komodo sighed, “I’m sorry to hear that.” Pina said. “What about you? Girlfriend?” Gosha countered. “No, I…like to get around. I’ve never really tied myself down to just one partner.” The sheep replied.

The movie had reached the part where the two main characters were engaging in a rather elaborate sex scene. “I…didn’t remember this part of the movie.” Gosha mumbled awkwardly, if his blood were warm he would blush. He reached for the remote and Pina grabbed his hand, taking it away from him. “It’s the best part, in my opinion.” Pina said, turning the volume up as the moans got louder. Gosha licked his lips, his leg shaking nervously. “How old are you?” He asked. “19, wanna see my ID?” Pina slowly got up, pulling his shorts down before lying back on the couch, spreading his legs. Gosha reached for the sheep’s cock, stroking it as the scene played out. “I shouldn’t be doing this.” He murmured stroking faster as his hand became slick with precum.

Pina’s breath hitched and he sighed, letting the old Komodo stroke him till he was rock hard. “If…I suck yours, will it poison me?” He asked. Gosha got up, kneeling in front of Pina as he continued stroking his cock with one hand and taking his belt off with the other. “Let’s find out.” He teased, straddling over the young sheep’s torso and gently slapping his monster of a cock on his muzzle. “Open.” He said, the sheep obeyed and a cool, thick, semi hard cock slipped between his lips, hardening against his tongue as the Komodo thrust shallowly into his face. “You said ‘partner’ earlier…that means you’ve done this before, hm?” Gosha asked with a cheeky grin. Pink’s big blue eyes blinked away a mist of tears as Gosha slid in and out of his throat making him gag loudly, he managed a tiny nod. “Mm…that’s it, get it nice and wet….” The Komodo moaned. He slid his entire length down the sheep’s throat, held his face in his crotch until Pina tapped out for air.

He released him, the sheep gasped as he pulled his cock out. “Turn around.” Gosha growled. The sheep eagerly obeyed and once the Komodo got a full view of that perfect ass, he deeply regretted that he couldn’t eat it out. He kneaded the firm round cheeks as the little pink hole flexed in anticipation. “I’m not going easy on you…not at all.” He groaned in pleasure as he pressed himself into Pina’s ass, immediately ramming into him with a brutal, selfish pace and if the noises the sheep was making were anything to go by, then he didn’t mind at all. “Ahh! Oh!” Pina cried as he dug his nails into the arm of the couch. “Yeah? You like that?” The Komodo was panting as he rubbed his over Pina’s back under his shirt. Such warm wool and a tight, hot ass. He hadn’t felt the inside of a warm animal in over 30 years and he was loving it.

“What’s better? Pussy? Young cock? Or my cock?” Gosha chuckled, between moans. Pina was incoherent, mumbling nonsense and drooling, fucked stupid by Gosha’s fat cock and taking it all greedily. “Guess I got my answer.” Gosha giggled. The couch dragged inch by inch over the expensive carpet as he roughly slammed his hips all the way to the hilt and returning to his fast, relentless pace. “Waaaah ohhh fuck! Fuck, yes! Please…please! Ah!” Pina came the hardest he had ever cum in his life, falling limp. Gosha wasn’t done yet, he held the young sheep up by the wool of his head, “Gonna cum inside you…you want it?”

“Fuck, yes…give it to me, mmm….” Pina moaned. With a few more thrusts Gosha was cumming, saturating Pina’s hole and backs of his legs with so much pent up cum they were soaked. He fell on top of the sheep, chest heaving and his legs feeling like they were gonna give out. “Are you okay?” Gosha asked, now deeply concerned as his libido died down and rationality came back. “Yeah…I think we both needed that…” Pina laughed weakly. “I’m sorry-“ Gosha tried to apologize. “Shh…Don’t be sorry.” Pina adjusted himself so that they were laying side by side on the couch. He wrapped his arms around Gosha, nuzzling into his chest. “There’s nothing to be sorry for.” He assured as the ending credits of the movie began to roll.

“That backfired so fucking bad…” Ton cried. They were holed up in her sister’s old house. They never sold the property after she died so it just sat there abandoned for almost 10 years. She was treating Viko’s hands with venom neutralizer, wound cleaner, and gauze. “What do we do now?” He asked, wincing as she wrapped his hands. It was a rough patch job and he needed a hospital if he wanted to keep them. Of that, Ton was sure. “We get that wolf alone and we kill him. It’s not about the market anymore. Now, it’s about pure revenge and that FUCKING psychopath will finally get what’s coming to him!” She growled, wiping away her tears. She turned to Louis so sat watching her on the floor, his eye still defiant.

“When I’m done with him, and you get a chance to see it. You’re next.”

Chapter Text

It has been an entire night that they searched the black market top to bottom looking for Louis. Agata, Dolph, Dope, Jinma, and Miguel were running on fumes and at some point, Legosi had fallen asleep. They decided to return to the mansion. Free insisted that he stay with Hino and Sabu at the clinic. Hino was stable but Sabu was hanging on by a thread. He blamed himself, he sat on a metal chair between the two lions, the sounds of machines whirring and beeping all around him. He sat back, looking between the two of them and finally let the tears fall that he tried with all his remaining strength to contain. “I’ve never seen you cry before.” Hino mumbled as he cracked his eyes to look at him. “It’s fitting. I’ve never failed so miserably before. I thought I could handle it…I thought that we could get the boss back and protect the wolf. I was…so mistaken. That wolf…is not like any other animal on this planet. I counted him out and he bust through the door and saved all our asses by himself. But they still got away with the boss. If you died, I probably would’ve killed myself right there.” He croaked, wiping the tears away from his eyes.

“I would never have forgiven you if you left him or the shishigumi. Dying for the boss is part of our job.” The pale lion rasped. “I don’t want it anymore, I don’t want the part of the job where we have to die.” Free cried. Hino sighed, reaching over to take his hand. “We were both wrong. We should have been honest with him and let him help us make a more thorough plan while keeping him safe. We all failed.” He said as he squeezed Free’s hand. “There’s no use in beating ourselves up over what ifs. You should be with them trying to find boss.” He added. Free leaned over him, cupping his cheek and bending down to press his lips to Hino’s. “What was that for?” He asked. Free shrugged. “Fuck it.” He kissed him again, this time longer, Hino didn’t push him away so he continued.

“You were always beautiful. I hated it. Sometimes I’d look at you and want to kiss you like this. Then I’d stop myself.” He said. Hino quirked a brow. “Really?” He asked with a smirk. “Yeah, I guess we were like this long before boss…long before Legosi.” Free whispered. “Once we find Louis, and strangle those foxes, I’m never taking any of you for granted again.” He promised. “Mmm…” Hino hummed. “Care about me or something?” He teased. They both laughed. Free turned around to see that Sabu’s eyes were open. “Rrreegothee?” He garbled, Hino startled at the sound. “Fuck me, he could take?” Free stopped Hino from sitting up. “He’s okay, the guys took him home.” Free pressed the call button for Gouhin. “Rouis…” Sabu grunted. “They still got him…but Legosi won’t stop until he’s home.” Free told him. “Nooooo…” Sabu growled squeezing Free’s arm.

“He saved us, man. He’s not gonna get hurt. We need to trust him…like we should’ve from the beginning.” He told him. Sabu slowly let go of him as Gouhin walked in. “He’s awake.” Free informed. The panda nodded. “You took several shots to the back, how do you feel?” He asked as he stood beside Sabu. The lion grunted. “He’s gonna make it, right?” Free asked as Gouhin checked his vitals. “He’s not out of the woods yet, but it looks like it.” Gouhin told him, “Legosi will be glad to hear that.” Hino said with a smile. Gouhin wondered about the wolf.

Dolph carried Legosi as they made their way out of the elevator to the front door. When they opened it Dolph was making his way past the living room to the stairs when he saw Gosha and the sheep snuggled together on the couch. The Komodo clothed and the sheep naked, splayed across his chest. None of them had the energy to address it. He took Legosi to bed where he laid him and stripped them both to their underwear before getting into bed with him. During the night he began to toss, his breathing labored and whimpering as he panted, heart racing.

Hold him! That’s it…

AH! Stop! Please stop…STOP IT…please stop…it hurts! It hurts…

Some guard dog! This was a long time coming, wolf. It’s time you learned that there are no heroes back here…

He woke with a gasp, throat dry, his eyes filled with tears. He turned his face into the warmth of Dolph’s chest who held him closely. Then he looked down at the big arm that held him closely, he looked and felt smaller than he ever had before. The moonlight shone through the balcony door, slowly Legosi eased out of Dolph’s grip and made his way toward it, gently, quietly pulling it open. Outside was warm with a cool breeze, and the smell of trees and the night air. The distant sounds of the bustling city ever present. In the flowers were insects, his keen ears flicking at the sound of their buzzing and the flutter of their wings. He took a shuddering breath as he saw them, butterflies. He went over and sat on the floor beside the pot as he watched their delicate wings open and close.

“We’re the same aren’t we?” He whispered as one of them, a monarch, landed on his hand. “We had to be completely destroyed before we could take shape,” he held it up to his face, “Before we could emerge.” When it crawled to the center of his palm, he slowly closed his hand like a Venus flytrap…and put it in his mouth. He could feel its tiny legs tickling the back of his throat as he swallowed. Then he caught another and did the same, and then another. He lay there, staring at the void of an endless sky, cocooned by the darkness.

When Dolph woke up the next morning, he felt around the bed to find that Legosi was gone. He got up and went to the bathroom and he wasn’t there, noticing the balcony door was open, he looked outside to find nothing. He went downstairs, the lions were sitting around as they, including Agata, conceded for the sheep to make breakfast. “Where is Legosi?” He asked, they all looked up. “He’s not upstairs?” Agata asked. “No, we went to sleep together…when I woke up he was gone.” The lion rubbed at his face worriedly. “I heard someone leave early this morning, I assumed it was one of you.” Gosha said. “We got to find him!” The lions stood up.

“Not so fast!” Pina said. “Stop, he’s not some helpless broad! When are you going to realize that?” He scolded, they all looked at each other. “If he wanted you to follow him, he would’ve told you. He left on his own because he needs to do this on his own.” The sheep put food down on the table. “If he gets hurt…” Dolph muttered. “He won’t.” Pina said confidently.

A light turned on, making Kiri squint. “I’m gonna keep it simple…” Melon’s voice graveled as he approached. “Tell me where they took Louis…and I’ll let you go! Go home, and either forget this ever happened or simply live to fight another day…choice is yours.” He put his hands on his pockets, licking his teeth as he looked down at the young leopard. But the kid wanted to act tough. He spit at Melon’s feet, “Fuck you!” He snarled. Melon walked around behind him, he heard the clinking and clanking of metal before footsteps came around on the other side. “My mother was a filthy leopard just like you…” Kiri cried out as he dug his claw into him, taking long rusted sheets and cutting away at the spotted flesh.

“These spots make me sick, and I’m going let you sit right here while I give you a nice haircut to match your bad boy personality!” The hybrid laughed.

Snip!

“GAH! Fuck, you bastard!”

Snip!

“AH! No…wait!”

Snip!

“Please!” Kiri cried.

Snip!

“Oh GOD!”

Bit by bit, sections of wet, bloodied flesh fell to the floor. Kiri’s entire torso became a mess of blood and gaping holes. The young leopard was trembling, looking at Melon, his eyes wide with horror. “I’ll tell you…I’ll tell you! Please, don’t hurt me anymore. It’s on my phone just take it…” He sobbed. “There…was that so hard?” The hybrid chuckled. He went through the kid’s phone, texting with his on the other. “All done.”

“You said you’d let me go.” Kiri whimpered, swallowing harshly, shaking from the pain. Melon walked around him, taking the sheers and driving them deep into the base of Kiri’s skull. “Now you’re free!” He cackled into the face of the corpse.

“My hands…I can’t feel them anymore.” Viko said as Ton fed him. “I’m sorry…” She held back a sob. “I should’ve never brought you here. Ten would’ve been furious to know I got you hurt.” She said. He leaned in and placed a chaste kiss on her lips. “Why…” “From her. To tell you everything will be alright.” He said. There was a knock on the door. They looked at each other, Ton picked up her gun and slowly approached it. She reached for the knob and turned it, there was no one there when she opened the door. Bang! Viko went down with a shot to the head, Ton held the gun up as she came face to face with Legosi.

“You sick motherfucker! It wasn’t enough for you to take Ten from me…You had to take everyone else too?!” She growled as they both held pistols to each other. “I hate you! We always did. Ten SAVED us and you killed her just because she didn’t stick her neck out for you. How was she supposed to know what they were going to do?” She yelled. “You’re right, I am sick, and I’m sorry…I shouldn’t have killed her.“ He said. Louis, blind folding on the hardwood floor behind the bookshelf couldn’t believe his ears. That deep, rich voice was back. “It’s too little too late for apologies!” She pulled the trigger, he did as well. He missed but she got him in the shoulder.

He fell to the floor shooting two more rounds before scrambling for cover. She ran toward him, before ducking behind a wall, trying to get the perfect angle to end this quickly. When she did, she shot, he slipped and fell just as the bullet whizzed past his ear. His own clumsiness saving him but his gun fell out of his hand. He ran for it, dodging bullets as he grabbed it and took cover where Louis was. He turned to aim for her but she was gone. It had gone silent. “Louis…” he turned to the deer bound on the floor, instead finding himself face to face with the barrel of a gun. “It’s a shame it had to end like this…after everything you’ve been through. But you caused it.” She said.

He lowered his gun, tossing it aside. “I did. I see them now…all the mistakes I made because I was angry…but you know what they say. Better late than never!” He kicked her leg out from under her causing her to fall forward, he caught her, biting and burying his fangs into her neck before ripping out her throat. She sputtered as he dropped her to the ground, stomping on her hand and kicking the gun away. He reached for Louis, untying him, the deer quickly ripped the blindfold off. “Legosi!” He jumped into his arms. “My God, look at you!” Louis cried. “I missed you so much.” He buried his face into the wolf’s neck as he laughed with joy.

“I missed you, too. Let’s go home, baby. The lions are waiting, and my grandpa! Pina’s there too, I think he and my grandpa are a couple now…” The wolf mumbled awkwardly. Louis laughed, “I can’t wait to hear that story!” He said.

It was that same evening, the sun had just started setting. Gouhin was in his office finishing up for the day. Hino was ready to go back to go home and finish recovering there, Sabu still needed more care. There was a knock at the door, he grunted as he got up to answer. When he opened the door, he had to take a moment to comprehend the sight before him. It was the face of a ghost he had thought he would never see again. “Can I come in?” He asked. Gouhin nodded. Legosi, with his steel gray fur, his lanky body filled out much like it was the day he first met him in the alley. No dress, but a dress shirt, a tie and slacks, and suspenders. It looked like his school uniform. He was back. “Legosi, you…”He was back and Gouhin couldn’t hold back his tears.

“The others are outside. I just wanted to thank you…for years you’ve been pulling for me. I know didn’t make it easy for you. I resisted, I fought back…because I wasn’t ready to…accept…what happened. But you never stopped asking about me, you never stopped giving advice, you never stopped trying to council me. I owe you my life for that.” Said the wolf. Gouhin sniffled, grabbing him and pulling him into a hug. “I’m so glad to see you again, kid.” He sobbed, patting him on the back.

“I need you to do one more thing for me…I’m getting married soon…I think I’m on the mend but I’ve got a long way to go. Can you help me?” Legosi mumbled into the panda’s shoulder.

“Don’t worry, we’ll get there together.” Gouhin assured him, Legosi returned his embrace.
