Chapter Text
The music blasted into Scaramouches ears, the lights blinded his eyes, usually this type of crowded place isn't really his thing but the one thing he could focus on was the gorgeous red streak haired man standing so close to him, it felt like he was inches away from being pulled entirely into the man, his entire aura was attractive and everything about him had scaramouche absolutely swoon.
.
.
.
Aether shook scaramouche as roughly as he could as the other boy growned in response.
"Scaraaa!! You gotta wake up man, we're gonna be late for our flight!" the blonde boy yelled in the still half asleep Scaramouche.
Lumine was busy packing all the essentials as the two other boys bickered in the next room over absolutely nothing. After a lot of playful banter, Scaramouche finally got out of bed and began to quickly get changed.
They had been waiting for this day for over two months now, they had been anxiously waiting for tickets for the famous boyband 4NEMO, knowing that those tickets would sell in an instant, the trio waited months constantly checking their official site for any update on any concerts. But after months of no news, their excitement was lost. Although, the group almost fainted when their close friend, Childe, showed up with three front row tickets in his hands for 4NEMO's concert in Las Vegas.
So here they are, rushing to their designated flight with roughly 10 minutes before departure. Scaramouche's heart felt like it was gonna explode when he finally boarded, it felt so unreal to finally be here on his way to see his favourite band in person. He had spent forever blasting their music in his ears while he did his usual routine that this all felt like a dream.
.
.
.
"God, it's so hot here.." Lumine said as they all walked out of the airport.
"It feels amazing to finally stretch out my legs, i felt like i was dying in those cramped seats!"
Scaramouche chuckled at the two twin's complaining, they were currently on their way to their hotel. The vibrant and loud city was such a huge contrast to their hometown that he felt a bit nervous, but he eventually cooled down as they made it to their room.
"THE BEDS ARE HUGE!?" Aether yelled excitedly.
They all took a quick tour of the room in complete awe before eventually taking in their exhaustion from the flight and decide to get some rest.
"Ughh, my stomachs growling.. Scara! Go get some food."
"Why me?"
"You have your OWN bed, unlike me who has to share it with my gremlin brother. The least you could do is get us food."
Scaramouche sighed, slipped on his shoes and stepped out the door, shutting it firmly behind him.
.
.
.
The city was surprisingly a bit colder during the night, Scaramouche suddenly regretted his decision to leave his jacket behind. He shrugged it off and continued walking, he wasn't planning to take long, he was just going to stop by the closest take out place and come back. The people in Las Vegas were a lot different than in his hometown, they weren't very friendly but not mean aswell, they all seemed to be minding their own business which sort of eased his nerves just a bit.
That is until a man bumps into his shoulder abruptly, causing Scaramouche to fall on the cold cement beneath him.
"What the hell?! The least you could do is apologize?!"
"Shit, i'm sorry. Are you okay?" The man asked, stretching out his hand towards him.
Scaramouche paused for a moment, this guy's appearance matched one of a kidnapper, with his black mask and black hood that almost covered his entire face, but his voice was something that Scaramouche could recognize in an instant.
His eyes widened.
"No way.. Kazuha?"
The man blinked. Once, twice.
For a moment, Scaramouche could see the shock in merely the mans eyes, they were expressive, bright and almost captivating. The more he stared, he noticed the tiny unmistakable details he could recognize anywhere, from the slightly visible bright red streak on his hair to the small beauty mark on his right hand.
Before he could process what was going on, he was quickly dragged into a small alleyway by a hand. By Kazuha, 4NEMO's lead singer's hand. His face suddenly flushed as he realized what was happening.
He was face to face with the man he came to vegas for. The rush of adrenaline suddenly seeped from him as he attempted to catch his breath.
Kazuha's eyes landed on him once again.
"Oh my god, i'm so sorry." He huffed. "You said it so loud, i was afraid the paparazzi would show up."
"Are you really Kaedehara Kazuha?" Scaramouche already knew the answer, but he had to hear it come out of his mouth to really believe it.
Kazuha chuckled, took off his hat to reveal his silky blond hair, and his gorgeous red streak that shimmered in the dim street lights, and finally his mask, to reveal his sharp features softened by the gentle curve of his lips, his signature warm, tender smile.
"Man, i didn't expect to be recognized this quickly, we only arrived a couple of hours ago. But yeah, i'm Kazuha." He laughed.
Hearing that sent his heart pounding. He felt as if he could pass out at any given moment by the sheer amount of emotions he was feeling.
"Oh my god, I'm so— so so sorry. I had such a bad first impression, i was just in a really bad rush and i felt a bit anxious because of all the people and it's not my usual setting and.."
"Woah woah, it's okay, don't worry about it, i was in a rush aswell. I didn't mean to bump into you so harshly, that must've hurt, are you alright?" He looked down at Scaramouche's red bruised hands.
"Ah.. They'll be alright, it doesn't hurt that much." He lied. His hands felt like they were on fire, he had landed pretty rough, instinctively stretching out his arms to protect himself.
"Are you sure?"
He sounded worried, which made Scaramouche's face feel alarmingly hot. Contrarily to his warm face, his body was still freezing from the night cold. He was about to reply when he felt a cold gush of air brush against his bare arms, causing him to slightly shiver.
The man in front of him slipped off his black jacket, revealing his white shirt with a small 4NEMO logo on the right corner. Scaramouche smiled at the sight.
Kazuha stretched out his arm, holding the jacket towards Scaramouche.
"Here, i wouldn't want you to be shivering out there because of me. I'm sorry if i caused you any problems."
"There's no need, really. I'll be alright."
"Seriously, take it, you can always give it back to me later." He shoved the jacket into his arms.
"Later?" Scaramouche said, the possibility of meeting with Kazuha for a second time made his heart flutter.
"Ah.. you'll be coming to our concert, right?" His eyes landed on him again, this time interlocking with Scaramouche's. His cheeks seemed a little warmer on his pale skin.
"Of course." Scaramouche nodded, embarrassingly flustered.
He felt even more mortified while quietly slipping on Kazuha's jacket. It fit him quite well, and the material felt smooth on Scaramouche's skin.
As they shared a laugh together, Kazuha's phone began to ring in his back pocket which he quickly answered.
"Shit, i'm really sorry. My manager is gonna kill me, i stayed out way past curfew.."
"You guys have curfew?"
"Yeah, sucks doesn't it? Getting babied as full grown adults. I guess that's just how the music industry works for us idols." He laughed. "Hold on, before i go.."
He took out a wrinkled piece of paper and quickly scribbled on it, he then shoved it into Scaramouche's pocket.
"I'll see you again soon!! I'll be looking forward to it!!" The man yelled as he ran off.
Scaramouche stood frozen in the dimly lit alley, words escaping him as time seemed to stretch on endlessly.
.
.
.
Scaramouche slipped into the room as quietly as possible.
"Where were you? And wheres the food?" Lumine shouted.
"Whose jacket is that?" Aether pointed out.
Scaramouche didn't answer. He simply flopped down onto his bed, clutching the jacket to his chest. He couldn't even find the words to tell his friends what happened. It was so surreal that it felt like a hazy dream.

Chapter Text
The red streaked man turned the corner, finally arriving at his private booked hotel.
The purple haired woman turned to him, lifting up her glasses while holding her notepad firmly.
“Where have you been, sir?”
“My sincerest apologies, Keqing.. i had a little incident.” He said, timidly.
“I’ve told you this already Kazuha, you should be calling me by my professional title.” She looked him up and down, then continued “If you’re going outside, wear something that covers you up. You know how fans are these days, the smallest detail could reveal your identity.”
A small smile tugged at his lips.
“I’ve known you since we were kids, you can’t expect me to suddenly treat you all professional when we used to try blowing bubbles out of our noses during our free time.” He laughed.
She sighed, giving him one final warning and walking off towards the rest of the staff.
As he shut the door behind himself, he felt a small smile creeping up his face as he recalled the guy he bumped into.
.
.
.
The purple haired boy slowly blinked, adjusting to the sun’s blinding light. His eyes felt heavy as he fought the overwhelming urge to drift back to sleep.
The sound of his lively roommates were his final straw, he got up from his bed with a groan, rubbing his eyelids.
The gold haired twins were busy getting ready in the mirror, briefly looking back to greet him.
“G’morning traitor.” Lumine chirped.
“Traitor? Really?”
“Yeah man! You totally left us to starve last night. We ended up sleeping on an empty stomach cause of you.” Aether added.
The memories from last night came flooding back to him in a heartbeat. His hand automatically shifted to his face, a poor attempt at masking the heat creeping up his face. His gaze suddenly shifted to the jacket, laying nicely on the bed.
Aether followed his eyes, quickly adding:
“Right. Where’d you get that from? Late night shopping trip? I doubt.”
Scaramouche averted his eyes
“Just some guy i bumped into, he apologized for the inconvenience and lended me it.”
He shared a brief look with Lumine, who seemed to be reading right through him.
“Just some guy?” she chuckled.
“Don’t make it weird, it was nothing.”
She scoffed and continued fiddling with the buttons of her shirt, much to Scaramouche’s delight.
He didn’t mention the fact that the man was Kaedehara Kazuha. For one, there was no chance they’d believe him even if he tried. For two, he himself is struggling to believe it, a part of him still uncertain if he was just way too tired from his flight, and started seeing things.
However, one quick hand into the jacket pocket confirmed that he was in fact not hallucinating.
Multiple numbers hastly scribbled onto a small piece of paper.
With a smiley face right next to it.
Scaramouche felt like he could faint right there on the spot.
.
.
.
He paced around the room, nails inbetween his teeth.
Lumine and Aether had left to go clothes shopping, leaving Scaramouche alone with his restless thoughts.
Was that really his number? Kazuha’s number? The thought itself made him curl inwardly on himself. Why would he give him that? Was he messing with him? Or maybe it was simply to return his jacket? But that wouldn’t make sense, the sudden memory of kazuha’s lips muttering the words
“You can always give it back to me later.”
“Ah… You’ll be coming to our concert, right?”
The room suddenly felt overwhelmingly hot.
His fingers hovered on the “call” button, unsure if it was too early or even.. weird. Although a part of him was curious, why would an idol would give his number to a random fan, of all people.
Suddenly, a bird flew directly into the glass window, causing Scaramouche’s soul to jump straight out of him. He lost his grip on the phone, causing it to drop onto the floor with a thud.
As he looked out the window, he heard the faint ringing of his phone against the floor. His heart sank.
He must have clicked the call button right before it slipped out of his hands.
As he scrambled to reach his phone, he suddenly stopped in his tracks as he heard a voice come out.
“Hello?”
“Anyone there?”
That soft, soothing voice that never failed to make his heart skip a beat.
He clumsily picked up his phone and hung up.
He sighed in relief as he sunk to the floor beneath him. There was absolutely no way he’s ready to call him. Not yet atleast.
Just in time, the twins burst through the door, shopping bags nowhere in sight.
“What happened to that ‘crazy shopping spree’ you two went on and on about?”
“We found a cute little cafe nearby. Thought you’d be interested in joining us instead of moping on the floor cause of god-knows-what.” Lumine said, leaning against the doorframe.
“Cmon Scara, aren’t you hungry?” Aether added.
Scaramouche rolled his eyes and picked himself up, hissing at the pressure against his bruised hands. He looked down and examined the small cuts on his palms.
He figured he’d buy ointment during the day if he found the time.
