Work Text:
"Again?"
Shoyo jolted and turned his head only to find one of his friends, Haiba Lev, standing tall right beside him, leaning against the locker.
"Another chocolate?" Lev asked again, earning a simple nod from Shoyo. He then stared at the paper bag in his own hand, contemplating for a moment before finally taking the chocolate out and handing it to Lev.
"Do you want it? I'm on a diet," Shoyo said simply.
Lev took the chocolate with a wide grin on his face. "Are you seriously on a diet, or are you just scared Kageyama will find it?" the taller teased.
When the name Kageyama was spoken, a tinge of red bloomed on Shoyo's cheeks as if it happened automatically. The smaller then jabbed Lev's stomach lightly while letting out a grunt. "I need to keep my body in perfect shape!" he defended himself while walking toward the cafetaria, leaving the silver-haired behind with a huff.
Lev followed his steps with a burst of laughter later on, nodding annoyingly without teasing him further. (Which Shoyo internally thanked God for because Lev could be such a pain in ass sometimes)
It was half true, though. As a member of the Cheerleading Club, Shoyo did need to keep his body in perfect shape. Not to mention that he was one of the flyers, so it was quite necessary for him to use that excuse with Lev.
Then again, Lev wasn't entirely wrong either. The name Kageyama did cross his mind when he received the mysterious chocolate hanging on his locker handle. Not because Kageyama was the one who gave it to him—Shoyo knew it wasn't from Kageyama. That stone-faced man would never do that kind of thing for him. The real reason was because Kageyama had a tendency to get jealous over it. And jealous Kageyama was so damn annoying and too hard to handle.
Heh, jealous. Shoyo giddily shuddered at the thought.
Shoyo and Kageyama didn't have any romantic relationship binding them. No, they were just casual friends... with benefits. However, it was crystal clear that they certainly had feelings for each other. Although none of them say anything about it up until now.
It was lunchtime when they arrived at the cafetaria. To say that the place was crowded with students was totally an understatement. Shoyo huffed while squinting his eyes, trying to find seats for both of them until Lev wrapped his long arm around his shoulder. "There! I see Kenma-san and Hitoka over there!" he said excitedly.
Shoyo blinked several times. Seemed a bit lost because he couldn't even find the seat Lev was pointing out due to how crowded the place was, but Lev, that giant, managed to spot their friends easily, and it made Shoyo envious.
Screw him and his height, Shoyo thought, but he followed Lev's steps anyway.
As they approached, Kenma looked up from his handheld game console, and Hitoka waved cheerfully. "Hey, Shou! Lev!" she greeted.
Shoyo quickly slid into the seat next to Kenma, while Lev waved back to Hitoka before turning to Shoyo to ask, "I'm gonna go get curry fried rice, you want some?"
Shoyo nodded while muttering a soft thank you to Lev before the taller quickly walked away to get the food.
"Homework?" Shoyo finally asked after stealing a glance at Hitoka, who seemed to be busy sketching something in her sketchbook.
"She has a project," Kenma replied, still playing with his game console but manage to shove a plate of barely touched fries to him.
Shoyo perked up for two things: one, the world finally noticed Hitoka's talent, and two, the fries Kenma offered.
"What project?" Shoyo asked again, munching on Kenma's fries. "Also, Kenma, you should eat too! Do you want me to call Kuroo-san again?!" The redhead pointed his finger at the pudding-head with a glare.
While Hitoka giggled at Shoyo's nagging, Kenma just sighed and put one fry into his mouth, earning a proud smile from Shoyo.
"What are you, Shou? Kenma's mom?" Hitoka teased, leaning closer to observe both of them.
"He's almost as bad as Kuroo," Kenma replied with a deadpan expression.
"Oh come on, we all know you actually enjoy the attention that both Kuroo-san and Shou give you," Lev said as he slid into the seat beside Hitoka while shoving a plate of curry fried rice in front of Shoyo.
"I don't!"
Hitoka, Lev, and Shoyo grinned at the same time. "Totally do," they said in unison, successfully making Kenma pout.
They chuckled for a couple of moments. It was always fun to tease Kenma because he was always calm and unbothered.
"So, what project again?" Shoyo asked.
"Oh, right!" Hitoka exclaimed. "Kita-san asked me if I could help the student council make a logo for Club Fair, and I said I would try my best!" She cheerfully explained while showing her sketchbook. There were a few logos she had made in it. "What do you guys think?" Hitoka asked, beaming with a smile.
Shoyo leaned closer to get a better view of Hitoka's sketches, as did Kenma, who put his console down to examine her work.
"I think all of them look great," Lev opined while munching on his fried rice.
Shoyo silently agreed with Lev. "But I think this one is perfect," he contributed, pointing to a logo with a group of crows surrounding the name of the event.
Kenma nodded before turning back to his console. "I also like that one. It suits our university the most," he said simply.
Hitoka smiled brightly after receiving supportive comments from her friends. "I'm going to submit these to Kita-san later. If they accept it, I will start making the digital version tonight!"
Her enthusiasm was contagious, making Shoyo and Lev smile as they listened to her.
Hitoka was usually shy and nervous around people, but when it came to her passions, she transformed into a bubbly, talkative person. Shoyo loved this side of her, finding it charming and infectious. He was sure Lev and Kenma felt the same.
They were busy chatting with each other when Kenma suddenly pulled Lev's empty plate to his side. His action successfully made the owner of the plate frown in confusion. Shoyo, too, tilted his head curiously, but when he saw a group of men entering the cafeteria, Shoyo couldn't help but laugh heartily at Kenma.
"Shut up, Shou," Kenma snapped when he realized Shoyo had caught him. "And you! Don't speak a word or I will tell Yaku you rejected another gig offer," Kenma warned Lev, pointing his finger at taller man while squinting his eyes, trying to look fierce but to no avail.
"Wha—"
"Kenma!"
Lev's complaint was completely cut off by a loud voice. The gray-haired man blinked before letting out a small "Aaah" when he finally caught on to what was happening.
Not long after that, two tall men approached their table. Shoyo waved enthusiastically at them. The owl-haired one waved back with equal enthusiasm. "Hinata!" he exclaimed, ruffling Shoyo's curly hair as he slid himself in between Shoyo and Kenma.
Shoyo giggled at the taller man's action. "Bokuto-san, Kuroo-san!" he finally greeted them.
Kuroo nodded to him before turning back to observe Kenma carefully. When he noticed there was an empty plate in front of the pudding-head, Kuroo smiled and proceeded to pat Kenma's head.
Shoyo grinned at the sight. When Lev look at him and shook his head faintly, Shoyo's grin turned mischievously wider.
"Don't let him fool you, Kuroo-san," Shoyo said, earning a glare from the pudding head in return. "It was Lev's plate."
"No, it was mine," Kenma said quickly, tried to convince Kuroo, who was now squinting his eyes.
Hitoka hummed mischievously before adding more fuel to the fire. "Pretty sure Lev was the one who ate it."
"Traitor!"
Shoyo, Hitoka, and Bokuto laughed as Kuroo began to nag at Kenma, who had already surrendered at that point.
It was always fun to see Kuroo and Kenma's antics. Everyone on campus knew that Kuroo was totally head over heels for Kenma. There was even a rumor that Kuroo, the Vice President of the Student Council, got rejected and was in unrequited love with Kenma because the smaller always seemed like he didn't care about anything except his game console.
But Shoyo knew Kenma better than anyone else. He knew Kenma was just as infatuated with Kuroo. However, this was Kenma they were talking about, and Kenma wasn’t one to display his feelings openly. Shoyo was sure Kuroo knew that too.
They really are a perfect match, he thought, smiling while looking at Kenma, who was now being dragged away by Kuroo.
"Kageyama!" Bokuto suddenly exclaimed, waving his hand to the person who walked closer to them.
Shoyo then felt something cold on his cheek. When he stole a glance, it was a carton of chocolate milk, being held and shoved right into his face by Kageyama.
"Thanks," Shoyo mumbled before taking the milk from Kageyama's hand, earning a simple nod from the taller man.
"Where's Kuroo-san?" Kageyama turned to ask Bokuto, who was amazed by Hitoka's sketches in her sketchbook.
"Ah!" Bokuto squeaked. "Kuroo dragged Kenma to feed him."
Kageyama hummed while still standing beside him, his hand finding its way to the back of Shoyo's neck. Shoyo could feel Kageyama's thumb brushing on his neck gently. The taller man's action successfully sent a shiver down his spine.
"Bokuto-san," Kageyama called, his fingers now playing with Shoyo's hair, gently curling it up on his own fingers, making Shoyo freeze on the spot, "Tsukishima saved some seats for us back there." He continued.
"Alright," Bokuto answered, standing up from his seat. "They were all nice, Yacchan! Let me know which one they choose, okay?" he said to Hitoka, who eagerly nodded.
"Let's go, Kageyama."
Kageyama nodded, then he patted Shoyo's head. "I'll come pick you up after practice," he said before walking away, leaving Shoyo with Hitoka and Lev who were ready to tease him to the fullest.
Shoyo wiped the sweat from his face with a towel, muffling a growl into it.
“What’s gotten into him? Is he fighting with Ushijima-san again?”
The redhead glanced at his friend, Yamaguchi, who was grumbling while staring at their captain, Oikawa.
Shoyo was curious too, considering today's practice felt like hell due to Oikawa’s sour mood.
“You're right, Yams,” another voice chimed in—it was their senior, Hanamaki. “They fought again. Ushiwaka caught Oikawa with Iwaizumi yesterday.”
Both Shoyo and Yamaguchi let out an understanding “Ohh.” and nodded when they heard Iwaizumi’s name. Iwaizumi was Oikawa’s childhood friend. Their captain might see Iwaizumi as a best friend, but Shoyo suspected Iwaizumi felt more, given how his eyes secretly softened whenever he looked at Oikawa. And Ushijima, Oikawa’s boyfriend, knew it too.
“Hinata! Oikawa-san is picking a fight with your boyfriend again.” Kunimi’s voice snapped Shoyo back to reality. The redhead huffed in annoyance before responding,
“How many times do I have to tell you that—”
“Kageyama is not my boyfriend,” Yamaguchi, Hanamaki, and Kunimi finished his sentence in unison, grinning as Shoyo flustered at their tease.
His teammates often teased Shoyo about it, given how frequently Kageyama picked him up after practice. Sometimes, when Kageyama didn't have any agenda with his own club, he would even come to watch Shoyo's practice too.
While they laughed, Shoyo decided he'd had enough. He grabbed his bag and walked out of the locker room, only to find Oikawa leaning toward Kageyama, who was flushed red the time Shoyo appeared.
“There you are, Chibi-chan!” Oikawa greeted him with his annoying smile. Shoyo raised an eyebrow as his senior looked satisfied, while Kageyama looked as if he were suffering from indigestion.
“What did you say to Kageyama this time?” Shoyo scowled, narrowing his eyes as he glared at Oikawa.
Oikawa put his hands on his hips, his face dramatically contorting into an exaggeratedly hurt expression. “How rude, Chibi—"
“Tooru.”
Oikawa tensed almost instantly when his words were cut off by a familiar deep voice. Shoyo blinked and tilted his head, grinning when he saw Ushijima approaching.
“Kageyama,” Ushijima, the volleyball team captain, greeted, earning a nod from his own setter. Then he turned to Shoyo, “Hinata Shoyo, do you mind if I borrow your captain for a while?”
Shoyo’s grin widened as Oikawa glared at him. Without hesitation, he shook his head. “Do as you please, Ushijima-san.”
“I don’t want to!” Oikawa protested.
Ushijima sighed, and then a loud squeak filled the air as he hoisted Oikawa up like a sack of rice. Oikawa tried to wriggle free from his boyfriend's grip, but Ushijima's strength rendered his efforts useless.
Once Ushijima and Oikawa were out of sight, Kageyama let out a deep sigh, as if talking with Oikawa had shortened his lifespan by five minutes.
“Come on, we should go too,” Kageyama said, starting to walk and leading the way.
Shoyo frowned but he followed Kageyama anyway. He observed the latter and quickly concluded that the raven-haired setter was clearly pissed for some reason.
“Kage—”
“Is it true?” Kageyama interrupted quickly, “Oikawa-san said Aone-san confessed to you,” he continued, his jaw tight. “Is it true?” he asked again, staring directly at Shoyo this time.
Shoyo gulped. So this is what Oikawa-san told him earlier?
Both Shoyo and Kageyama stared at each other for a minute. Kageyama seemed to be waiting for an answer, showing no sign of dropping the topic. So all Shoyo could do was sighed and nodded.
“Yeah,” he admitted. “Aone-san gave me chocolate and a letter earlier.” The redhead’s confession successfully made Kageyama furrow his brows.
“Yeah, that's more like it," he nodded with his infamous pouty face, "There’s no way he’d keep bothering you without any reason.”
Shoyo frowned upon hearing his statement, "He’s not bothering me.”
It was a simple statement, he was just telling the truth without any meaning behind it. Aone, the vice-captain of the university’s basketball team, wasn’t bothering him. They always had two-sided conversations, and Shoyo liked Aone’s company. That was all. But apparently, this statement worsened Kageyama’s mood as his frown deepened.
“Are you defending him now?” he asked, face clearly annoyed.
The accusatory tone made Shoyo sigh once again and rub his face roughly. “Are we really going to fight over this, Yama?”
“We’re not fighting. I was just asking why you were defending him.”
“I’m not defending him!” Shoyo snapped, “And if I was, what’s wrong with that? You don’t have any right to be mad about it!”
That was all it took for Kageyama to freeze. Shoyo cursed internally, instantly regretting his words. He was about to grab Kageyama’s arm and apologize, but Kageyama spoke first.
“I’m sorry,” the raven-head apologized. “I think we should cancel our plans for tonight. I forgot I have something important to do.”
Kageyama patted Shoyo's head before quickly turning away, leaving Shoyo standing there, helpless to stop him.
Shoyo, overwhelmed with frustration, let out a growl and ran his hands through his hair, "Damn it!"
Shoyo puffed his cheeks as he scrolled through his phone, feeling a twinge of annoyance when he didn't see any updates from Kageyama's Instagram.
It had been three days since their fight, and they hadn't spoken to each other since then. Kageyama seemed to be deliberately avoiding Shoyo as well, which only irritated him further.
"Seriously, Shou, just call him if you miss him!" Lev sounded exasperated as Shoyo let out another sigh.
He was hanging out with Lev and Kenma at Kenma's apartment tonight. While Lev and Kenma were busy playing PlayStation against each other, Shoyo lounged on Kenma's couch behind them.
"No way! I'm not going to lose to him!" Shoyo scowled, turning to look at the TV screen displaying the game they were playing.
Kenma hummed in response to Shoyo's answer, "Is this a competition for you?" he deadpanned, earning a pout from the redhead.
Shoyo then lay on his stomach, absentmindedly playing with Kenma's soft hair, "I had a plan, but now I'm not sure," he said, "Do you guys think he really likes me?"
Kenma flicked his tongue in annoyance, a habit that indicated he was irritated. "Seriously, Shou?" he replied, clearly annoyed. "Even an idiot like Lev can see that Kageyama is in love with you!"
"Hey!" Lev protested with a pout at being called an idiot, but he didn't argue further and simply nodded in agreement with Kenma's words.
"I have no idea what your plan is, but I just hope you didn't involve that poor guy," Kenma added.
Now, it was Shoyo's turn to pouted at Kenma's words. His words always slapped him good, but Shoyo was too stubborn to give up on his plan. And if it does involved Aone a.k.a that poor guy Kenma mentioned earlier, clearly the pudding-head didn't need to know about that part.
There was a loud beep coming from the entrance, automatically catching Shoyo's attention. They hadn't invited anyone else, and he was certain that it wasn't Hitoka either, as she was currently busy with her project.
So when Shoyo saw Kuroo entering with paper bags on his hands, he relaxed. "Here's the food you ordered, Kenma!" Kuroo announced, placing the bags on the table. Earned a soft thank you from Kenma.
"Oh? Didn't expect to see you here, Chibi-chan," Kuroo said, looking at Shoyo with a raised brow. After a moment of silence, Kuroo blinked several times and looked at him as if he had just connected the dots, then, he laughed, "Ah, that's why Kageyama's been so cranky lately. You guys had a fight, huh?"
Shoyo groaned and buried his face in the cushion as Lev laughed at Kuroo's words. "He's cranky?" Lev asked, earning an annoying hum from Kuroo.
"He even asked us to hang out tonight, can you believe it? We're usually the ones dragging him!" Kuroo explained enthusiastically. "Tsukki got mad because he already had plans with that pretty freckly cheers, but now he has to cancel to babysit Kageyama! Bokuto's apartment was seriously in chaos when I left!"
"Sounds like a nightmare," Kenma commented, showing little interest.
"Indeed, it was a nightmare! He is such a pain in ass so I hope you reconcile with him soon, Chibi-chan," Kuroo grinned. "And maaaybe you can give him one good blow afterward."
"GROSS!" Kenma and Lev scowled simultaneously, their faces twisted in disgust.
When Kuroo burst into laughter, Shoyo couldn't resist the urge anymore. He quickly grabbed a cushion and flung it at Kuroo's face.
It had been five days since their fight, and they still hadn't spoken. Shoyo hadn't had the chance to execute his plan due to being busy with club activities, as Club Fair was about to start and he was selected to perform alongside Yamaguchi, Kunimi, and seven other people.
Today was no different than usual. Shoyo was on his way to the Cheers Gymnasium for practice. However, he stopped by his locker first to grab a snack he had bought earlier.
"Shoyo-kun."
The redhead jumped at the sudden call of his name. He blinked, then noticed Atsumu, one of the university's famous football players, leaning against a nearby locker. Atsumu waved and smiled widely at him. "Sorry, did I scare you?" he chuckled.
"Yeah, you did," Shoyo replied with a grin, "What's up, Atsumu-san?"
The grin on Shoyo's face seemed contagious as Atsumu started to do the same, "Do I need a reason to talk to you?" he asked playfully, "But lucky for you, I do have a reason!" He then leaned down to Shoyo's height, teasingly close to his face. "Do ya want to—"
BAM.
A loud bang made both of them jump. Atsumu clicked his tongue in annoyance while Shoyo turned to see what had happened only to find Kageyama stood in front of his own locker not far from them, having just slammed it shut loudly.
Shoyo raised his eyebrows as Kageyama looked up and stared directly at him, his expression clearly furious. After a few moments of intense eye contact, Kageyama shot a death glare at Atsumu behind him before walking away without saying a word. But Shoyo was certain that Kageyama's gaze alone had conveyed everything.
"Damn," Atsumu muttered. "If looks could kill, pretty sure I'd be dead meat by now." He continued, "Forget it, Shoyo-kun. I'm not picking a fight with a goddamn wolf." The taller boy shuddered, confirming Shoyo's earlier thoughts. Atsumu managed to ruffle Shoyo's hair before finally leave.
Shoyo, on the other hand, couldn't help but grin widely. He didn't even need to lift a finger for his plan, it was starting to unfolding on its own.
After the locker incident, Shoyo could sense that Kageyama was trying to find the perfect moment to talk to him. However, this time, it was Shoyo's turn to avoid him. Shoyo decided that a little revenge would be harmless.
Shoyo was chilling in the cafeteria with Yamaguchi after practice when it happened again.
"You haven't reconciled with Kageyama?" Yamaguchi asked suddenly while Shoyo was busy munching on his meat bun.
Shoyo raised an eyebrow before replying, "How did you know?"
Yamaguchi grinned. "Kei's been complaining a lot about Kageyama lately."
Shoyo laughed out loud. Yamaguchi was Tsukishima's boyfriend, and unfortunately for Tsukishima, he was also Kageyama's friend and roommate. Shoyo knew how annoying Kageyama could be when he was in a bad mood, so he felt a little sorry for the blonde for having to put up with Kageyama's antics.
"Sorry, sorry," he said after finishing his laugh, "Just a little bit longer, and I'll put an end to it."
Shoyo's words clearly piqued Yamaguchi's interest as he raised an eyebrow and lean closer to show a sign that he is now fully invested in the conversation. "Really?" he asked excitedly, making Shoyo laugh again. After two years of witnessing Shoyo and Kageyama's friends-with-benefits relationship, it was only natural for him to feel excited about Shoyo who finally decided to make a progress, considering how often he had given Shoyo pep talks about turning their relationship into something real.
Shoyo nodded. "I hope it works," he said. "I still feel bad for Tsukishima, though. Do you know about that museum that opened a month ago?"
Yamaguchi frowned but eventually nodded. There was no way he would forget about it, Shoyo thought, considering how often Yamaguchi had complained about how hard it was to get the tickets.
"Good news! I have a friend who works there, and he gave me two free tickets. I'm planning to give them to you so you can ask your boyfriend to go on a date this weekend!"
Yamaguchi gasped, his face beaming with happiness, which made Shoyo smile as well. "Really, Hinata? You'd give them to me? For free?"
When Shoyo nodded, Yamaguchi quickly hugged him tightly, saying, "Thank you so much! I owe you a big one!"
Shoyo patted Yamaguchi's back before the latter pulled away. They giggled and went back to munching on their afternoon snacks.
When Shoyo saw Yamaguchi humming happily while looking at his phone, the redhead smiled too and munched his meat bun silently while watching the cats cuddling cutely nearby.
How sweet and annoying at the same time, Shoyo thought, Everything must be so easy for you two, huh?
The sight was indeed so adorable that he was too focused on the cats to realize Yamaguchi was calling for him until the green-haired boy nudged his arm.
When he turned, he snapped right away because Aone was standing beside their table. It seemed the taller boy was on break from practice, judging by how wet his hair was. Shoyo smiled at him when he gently handed him a carton of chocolate milk.
"For you," Aone said, making Yamaguchi gasp after hearing Aone's voice. To say that Yamaguchi was surprised would be an understatement considering how rare it was for Aone to talk to anyone besides his captain, Futakuchi, who happened to be his best friend as well.
Shoyo giggled before taking the milk from Aone's hand. "Thank you!" he replied cheerfully, earning a slight smile from the white-haired boy.
"Oh my God," Yamaguchi whispered dramatically after Aone left. "He talked! And he smiled too! He really does like you, doesn't he?" His friend shuddered, making Shoyo grin annoyingly.
"Oh shit," Yamaguchi suddenly cursed and lowered himself. "Bad for you, Hinata, bad for you!" he whispered.
Shoyo tilted his head in confusion. He was about to ask what he meant when someone cut them off.
"Tadashi."
It was, apparently, Tsukishima, Yamaguchi's boyfriend.
Yamaguchi smiled widely as his boyfriend approached. Shoyo, on the other hand, licked his lips before finally drinking the milk that Aone had bought. When Tsukishima finally slid in beside Yamaguchi, Shoyo decided it was a perfect time to turned his head.
And there was Kageyama, standing in front of the vending machine.
Shoyo cheered internally. He had guessed right: if Tsukishima was there, Kageyama would be too. So when Shoyo saw Kageyama holding two cartons of milk—one fresh milk and one chocolate milk—and staring directly at him, Shoyo couldn't help but smile as he took a sip from his milk without breaking their eye contact.
When Shoyo noticed Kageyama's body tense up, his smile broadened.
What will you do now, Kageyama? Shoyo thought, his silent yet challenging gaze locked onto the raven-head, What will you do now, knowing damn well I can fully replace you if I wanted to?
On Friday, Shoyo finally had a moment to relax, relieved that his club had no practice scheduled for the day. He savored the opportunity to reunite with his friends at the bustling cafeteria, enjoying their banter and catching up on missed moments.
"So, Shou, how's the prep going?" Hitoka leaned in, her eyes bright with curiosity.
"All set," Shoyo replied with a grin. "You guys coming to watch tomorrow?"
Indeed, tomorrow marked the highly anticipated Club Fair—a day that had the entire university buzzing with excitement. The anticipation was palpable, with students bustling about, feverishly preparing stands, and adorning club rooms with vibrant decorations to captivate potential recruits. It was a campus-wide spectacle that promised to showcase the diverse range of clubs and activities available to the new students, after all.
"Definitely," Lev chimed in, his excitement palpable. "Wouldn't miss seeing you fly in the air for anything."
Hitoka and Kenma nodded in agreement, sending the redhead their full support. Just as they were immersed in their conversation, a sudden interruption broke their chatter.
"Hinata."
It was just one word, calling for his name. It was calm and simple, yet it successfully made Shoyo and his friends shudder because of how calm it was. He could feel the gazes of their friends slowly shift to him as he turned his head to face the one who called him who was undoubtedly, Kageyama.
"Yes?" he replied with an innocent smile.
"Come with me."
Shoyo cheered internally. He knew that tone. He was sure the blue-eyed setter was now feeling annoyed. His plan was almost success, almost. All Kageyama needed was a little push, a little boost so Shoyo could get what he always wanted. So he tilted his head in the most innocent way and asked, "Why should I?"
As Shoyo heard Lev choke on his drink, he, too, didn’t miss the way Kageyama's jaw tightened.
"I wasn't asking." The raven-haired boy said, eyes glaring right through Shoyo's soul. Shoyo was about to be a brat and annoy Kageyama a little more, but Kageyama was way faster than him.
"Shoyo," he muttered, deep and pissed, using that one tone which always successfully made Shoyo go weak, "Now."
And that was all it took for Shoyo to stand up from his seat. Call him cheap, but he would never dispute Kageyama when he used that tone. Kageyama could even tell him to jump and he would jump without even asking how high.
So there he was, following Kageyama's steps without questioning anything. Not even their destination.
"Hinata Shoyo."
Fuck, Shoyo cursed under his breath when he caught Kageyama’s steps halted by someone calling his name.
"Aone-san, I—"
"Do you need something from him?" Kageyama quickly cut him off, standing in front of Shoyo, completely hiding him behind his larger body.
Shoyo couldn't help but smile a little when Kageyama turned into his fully on-guard and possessive mode. It felt like a thousand butterflies flapping their wings in his stomach at the same time. He decided he liked that feeling.
"I need to talk to him," Aone replied simply, clearly not catching Kageyama's annoyance.
"Well, he's going to talk to me now, so you may fuck off."
"Yama!" Shoyo gently hit Kageyama's back before tilting his head so that Aone could see him. "I'm really sorry about that, Aone-san! But I have something important to do with this guy at the moment, I'll catch up with you later, alright?" He explained while giving the taller boy his best smile, which made Kageyama groan a second later.
When Aone finally nodded, Kageyama didn't waste any more time to drag Shoyo away from him.
"Kageyama!" he squeaked when the taller boy pushed him into the repository room. Luckily, the room was empty. "That hurts!" he continued to complain right after Kageyama let go of his grip.
Instead of answering, Kageyama pushed him against the door and quickly shut Shoyo up by locking their lips.
It wasn't their first kiss, of course not, considering they have been fucking for almost two years. However, this kiss was... different.
Sure, they weren't always the vanilla type. They loved to explore, and dared Shoyo say that both of them loved it rough when it came to their sexual stuff. But this one, once again, was different.
This time, Kageyama's kiss wasn't rough, it was more like he was trying to let out his frustration as he desperately sucked on Shoyo's lips as if he was going to devour him whole.
Shoyo automatically wrapped his arms around Kageyama's neck and took part in their little make-out session. But when Kageyama's hand found its way to his ass, Shoyo couldn't help but moan, feeling completely under the raven-head's mercy.
"Fuck," Kageyama cursed after pulling back a little. "You're a fucking menace, did you know that?" he continued as he slapped Shoyo's ass hard, successfully earning a loud squeal from the redhead.
Shoyo automatically tilted his head when Kageyama started leaving smooches on his jaw. "I was planning to have a proper talk with you, I really was," Kageyama muttered as he bit Shoyo's earlobe, "But you just had to test my patience, didn't you? Flirting with just anyone like a cheap whore."
When Kageyama's thigh pressed against Shoyo's crotch, he internally wished Kageyama would stop talking and just fuck him already, "Please," he begged.
"Already?" The latter gave him a disdainful look. "Did you beg those men too? Maybe, the basketball player earlier?" he whispered right into Shoyo's ear, sending shivers down his spine, "Did you beg him to fuck you while I wasn't around?" While Kageyama's thigh pressed harder against his crotch, the setter's hands found their way to spread Shoyo's ass.
"No! I didn't! Only ahh—" Shoyo's words were drowned by a whimper as he felt Kageyama's finger pressing against his rim, teasing him under his own jeans. "Only you, Yama! Please, please..."
Kageyama flicked his tongue. "So pathetic," he mumbled. "Pants off."
As Kageyama commanded, so shall it would be.
Shoyo didn't waste any more time to quickly unbuttoned his jeans. He didn't care about the fact that they were still in a public place, or the possibility of them getting caught in the middle of their activity. He didn't care at all. All he cared about was Kageyama. Kageyama's touch, Kageyama's body and Kageyama's dick.
"Turn around," Kageyama commanded right after he pulled his pants off. And Shoyo quickly obeyed. He turned his body to fully face the door as he arched his back and raised his ass up for Kageyama, successfully earning a growl from the latter.
"Slut," he said with a slap. "I just asked you to turn around, yet you present yourself to me. What is it if not being a slut, hm?"
"Just for you," Shoyo assured. "Your personal ahh— your personal slut only!" he whined when he felt Kageyama spreading his ass.
"Yeah, that's more like it," Kageyama hummed. Face leaned closer to Shoyo's hole, looked ripe and eager to be eaten. "You're my personal fucktoy, aren't you?" He grinned as he intentionally licked Shoyo's rim, bringing his thumb to circle around it too, eager to make Shoyo squirm under his actions.
"Yes! Fuck, yes! I'm your fucktoy, only for you to use," Shoyo cried. "Please, can I have your tongue in me? I need your tongue, please Yama..." He begged while looking over his shoulder to face Kageyama, eyes brimming with tears as he wriggled his ass.
"Stay still," Kageyama commanded, "And don't be too loud," was the last thing the latter said before he fully buried his face in Shoyo's ass. He teasingly licked the entrance at first, rewarded with a beautiful moan from the redhead. When Shoyo's rim started to twitch, Kageyama, too, started to work. He put his mouth right on Shoyo's entrance, giving it some good licks and hard sucks before his hands finally spread the buttocks so he could put his tongue in there.
Shoyo's legs started trembling when Kageyama fucked him good with his skillful tongue. He could feel Kageyama exploring every part of his hole. And Kageyama's breath felt hot against his ass, which didn’t make it better because Shoyo couldn't help but whimper.
He already knew this. Kageyama was so fucking good at eating him out. He had known that since long ago. Kageyama could mess him up, make him a crying mess just with his tongue. The raven-head knew exactly where to lick, where to suck.
"Kageyama!" He finally let out a scream as he came with Kageyama's tongue alone.
He thought it would end there, but he was wrong as he felt Kageyama's finger entering his hole. The latter didn’t even give him time to catch his breath as he started to pump his finger inside Shoyo's hole.
"But, Yama, I just—"
"I know," Kageyama snorted. "And you will cum again, Shou," he declared as he trailed kisses down to Shoyo's thigh.
"No marks!" Shoyo snapped as he turned his face to warned the raven-head.
But it seemed like Kageyama didn't care because he started to bite both of his thighs alternately and suck on them hard. His thighs were always ones of his sensitive spots. Shoyo's head felt dizzy, it was too much. The stimulation he got from Kageyama was too much. Not to mention that he just had his first orgasm after a week. So when Kageyama's finger finally met his prostate, Shoyo's body jolted and squirmed.
His action successfully earned another finger added to his hole. "I told you to stay still, didn't I?" Kageyama snarled as he harshly abused Shoyo's prostate while holding his hips, keeping the redhead from squirming.
"I can't! Please, it's too much!" Shoyo pleaded, but to no avail. It seemed like Kageyama didn't plan to give him any mercy at all.
"You can," Kageyama gritted, tone deep and demanding as he added another finger to Shoyo's hole, making it three in total, "Come on, Shou. Be good and cum for me."
And Shoyo did. He felt like his legs turned to jelly the moment he spurted another load of cum. Kageyama had to keep him steady to prevent him from falling to the ground.
Shoyo quickly turned his body and wrapped his arms around Kageyama's neck. When Kageyama picked him up, Shoyo nuzzled his face against the crook of the latter's neck.
The redhead widened his eyes as he felt Kageyama press his hard cock against his bare ass. He knew where this was going. So when Kageyama put him down on the table, he gave the raven-head a pleading look.
"Let's take a break first, please?"
Instead of answering, Kageyama snorted while pulling a small tube of lube from his pocket. Shoyo, on the other hand, gulped. He bit his own lips as Kageyama unbuttoned his pants. And when Kageyama started to pour lube to rub on his own dick, Shoyo couldn't hold himself from spreading his legs automatically.
"Didn't you just ask for a break?" Kageyama smirked. "But I understand. You just can't help it, can you? This—" He teasingly rubbed Shoyo's entrance with his thumb, "Needs to always be filled, doesn't it?"
"Yes," Shoyo replied almost instantly. Anything else be damned, he just wanted that big cock of Kageyama to fill his hole right now, even when he still feel completely overwhelmed, "Feels so empty, I need you to keep me full in here." He continued, rubbing his belly.
"Fuck," Kageyama cursed, "You can't live without my cock, yet you confidently tried to get rid of me?" He continued in a low voice as he rubbed his dick against Shoyo's rim, teasingly putting the head of his dick onto Shoyo's hole then pulling it back just like that, making the redhead moan in frustration. "I should've just taken you right then, in front of that damn basketball player. I should've let him know that he could never satisfy you like I could. You're my fuck toy, after all."
Shoyo cried in humiliation, feeling absolutely overwhelmed and unable to hold on any longer, yet he couldn't do anything since he was completely at Kageyama's mercy.
So when Kageyama finally had enough teasing and started to shove his dick in with one hard thrust, Shoyo came for the third time.
"Look at that," Kageyama chuckled as he flicked his red, angry cock that lay on top of his stomach, "Such a useless little cocklett. It can't do anything beside spurting load of cum," His finger trailing down to Shoyo's cock, making the redhead shiver at his action, "Can't even stand up like a real cock. So fucking useless."
Shoyo cried harder, mumbling incoherently, simultaneously begging for mercy yet pleading for more.
"I just give you what you wanted and make you cum again, where's your manner, Shou?" Kageyama started to thrust his hips hazily, his eyes glaring at him, "Now, what do we say?"
"Thank you," Shoyo answered instantly, pliant and helpless, "A good boy says thank you."
"That's right, you're my good boy." Kageyama grinned, his thrusts becoming more steady. He kept it that way a couple more times before leveling up the intensity. His sloppy thrusts now turned brutal, and he did it over and over until Shoyo was wriggling, unable to keep up with his pace.
"Bio— Tobio," Shoyo pleaded louder, not caring where they were right now as his mind was fuzzy and filled only with the pleasure from Kageyama's cock.
"Do you feel that?" Kageyama brought his hand to Shoyo's bare tummy, his shirt already messed from their activity. Kageyama then gently pressed where it bulged because of his cock. "That’s me, rearranging your guts, Shou. By the end of it, your hole will be properly shaped to my cock, and you’ll feel it for days."
The words Kageyama spoke felt like a promise to Shoyo. He cried as he clenched around Kageyama's dick, successfully making the raven-head hiss in return.
"Oh, you like that. You like the thought of me marking the deepest part of you so you can feel it yourself?" His hand finding its way to pinch Shoyo's nipple.
Shoyo didn't have any more energy to answer. Instead, he raised both of his hands, asking for a hug from the raven-head, which he complied with soon after.
"Close. I'm gonna fill that empty belly of yours with my seed, yeah?"
"Yes, please fill me up, I need it!" he screamed fanatically as he wrapped his slim legs around Kageyama's body, making sure the latter couldn't get away from him without giving him what he wanted.
When Kageyama grunted and gave a hard, rough thrust, Shoyo's eyes rolled back as he spurted another load. It was barely anything, too watery to be even called as cum. His mind went blank as he felt Kageyama spill his cum inside him, legs shaking as he felt completely overstimulated.
"’s good, feels so good," he rambled as he hid his face against Kageyama's neck. "But I really can't take more, Yama."
The raven-head chuckled after hearing that. He quickly picked Shoyo up, bringing him to his lap as he sat on the chair. Shoyo whimpered at their position because it only made the raven-head's dick bury deeper in his hole. Kageyama quickly soothed him with a gentle rub on his back.
"Hinata," Kageyama then called after giving him some time to adjust to their new position, earning a hum from the smaller in return. "I'll give you anything to make you stop talking to that guy," He said with a soft voice, so soft that it almost sound like a plea, "You can ask anything from me. You can have everything, just.. stop doing whatever you were doing."
Shoyo smiled, it seemed like his plan worked just fine, "Anything?" he teasingly asked.
"Anything," Kageyama said firmly.
Shoyo nodded. "'Mkay," he mumbled while leaving a kiss on Kageyama's jaw. "I won't talk to him." He assured.
"And don't take things from him," Kageyama frowned, "Chocolate, milk, I'll buy them for you."
Shoyo chuckled but eventually nodded again. "Okay," he answered shortly.
"Okay," Kageyama repeated. He buried his nose on top of Shoyo's hair and left kisses on it.
Shoyo decided to close his eyes, enjoying the gentle touch and soft kisses that Kageyama gave as he cockwarmed the raven-head. He always loved this, he loved ockwarming the latter so he can stay stretched and open to Kageyama's dick. He loved being stuffed full with Kageyama's cum as well. They enjoyed each other's presence in silence, making up for the days they wasted before.
"Kageyama," Shoyo finally spoke after a few moments of silence.
"Hm?"
"I rejected him," He said, looking up to see the taller who was, apparently, looking back at him with a frown. "Aone-san, I mean. I rejected him the day we fought."
Though Kageyama tried to hide it, Shoyo noticed the way Kageyama's breath hitched the moment he spoke. So he smiled while pulling his face from the raven-head's neck.
"I said I was already in love with someone else," he explained while looking directly into those deep-blue eyes in front of him. "He said he understood and we agreed to become friends." Shoyo added.
"I love you, Tobio. I have been in love with you since two years ago. Only you. Not someone else, never anyone else." He exclaimed, a smile appearing on his face when he noticed a red tinge bloom on Kageyama's cheek. He couldn't hold his giggle either. This man in front of him had his dick buried in Shoyo's ass yet he felt shy when Shoyo confessed his feelings. What a weird guy.
"I love you, too," Kageyama answered, cutting the distance between them to leave a soft peck on Shoyo's lips. "We should've done this two years ago, but I was too scared of ruining things between us. I know I'm a coward, I'm sorry."
"Are you still scared now?"
"No." Kageyama stated firmly.
"Then, make it work this time," Shoyo hummed as he leaned closer. "Don't let me go." He whispered against Kageyama's lips.
As he heard Kageyama muttering a firm, "I won't," Shoyo finally shut his eyes as they locked their lips once again.
So when Shoyo performed at the Club Fair with bruises and marks visible on his thighs under his shorts, it became clear to everyone on campus that they shouldn't mess with Kageyama Tobio, who watched with a smug look on his face.
