What’s a really bad science pun?

Summary:

Being the one of the only teachers that understand sign language in your school, the 9 year old monster ambassador is placed in your class. Turns out you get along with them and their friends pretty well

Might get rewritten!! Might just give up on this!

Notes:

Okay, okay, I know I have a bad habit of starting fics and never finishing them but I’ve made a promise to actually keep writing this one…hopefully!

Chapter 1: Andromeda Stryker

Chapter Text

Being a teacher has always been fairly easy. You worked with 3rd Grade so, sure, you had the odd kid having a tantrum every now and then but other than that, your job was easy.

Your life however? Not so easy. Moving away from your home town was a welcomed new start, you really didn’t need to be near there anymore. Not after what happened. So as soon as you got your degree, you moved into a small scenic city at the bottom of the infamous Mt.Ebott.

Sure, you still barely knew anyone there and sure, most of your nights after school were spent sat inside with your cat, Big Mama. But your life currently was perfect just the way it was.

Then, the monsters came. Now, this wasn’t a bad thing for you, other than town becoming a little bit more crowded. But other people seemed to hate it, which was…less then ideal for the monsters. So day in and day out you listened to racist parents complaining about the ‘problem’ of monsters and you were sure that today would be no different.

”Miss Stryker? Can I talk to you please?”

You looked up to the doorway of your empty class room, seeing Mrs Fitz, the principal, standing there.

”Oh! Yes of course, whats up?”

She walked into the class room, standing next to your desk. She was an older woman, in her late 50’s. She was around 30 or so years older then you as you were one of the younger teachers in school, but you still both got along just fine.

”You’ve got a new student coming in on Friday, very important. You know sign language, right?”

You nodded, listening. Was the kid the child of royalty or an important politician or something?

”The child of the King and Queen of monsters is starting here and they’re going to be in your class. We need you to set a good impression.”

Oh. Well that definitely answered your question. So… you were going to be teaching royalty. Cool, totally not freaking out. You would have to do a bit of research on the kid so you didn’t mess anything up but…it would probably be okay.

“Alright, I can deal with that. The sign language is for?”

”They’re mute. They need someone who’s able to communicate with them so that’s why we need you.”

You nodded, well that was something you had to prepare for all week. It also meant, you’d be meeting Monsters properly for the first time. You had to meet the parents a few days before the child started. Mrs Fitz explained that you meet them on the Wednesday.

Cool, cool. Fuck you were meeting royalty.

Chapter 2: Meet the…Carers?

Chapter Text

Preparing for royalty to be in your classroom was…stressful to say the least. Did you need to change anything? Each part of your classroom was full of (in your opinion) funny jokes for each subject. Even the plastic skeleton, named Arthur-itis, that you used for science lessons was dressed up in a floral shirt and swim shorts for summer (the students and also partly your idea).

Maybe they’d like the environment? You were told before hand that Frisk would be coming along with their guardians so it would be better if you kept your room as is. You wanted them to be used to it when they came tomorrow.

A knock on your door shook you out of your thoughts and you brushed yourself down, fiddling with the fabric of your skirt. You didn’t really know what to expect. Would they hate you? Assume you were like all the other horrible people who had judged them? You hoped not.

Opening the door revealed a very tall goat lady dressed in a long purple dress and gold jewellery with white fur. The Queen of monsters. Oh wow. She was beautiful. She gave you a sweet smile.

”Hello my child, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”

You smiled, giving a quick ‘you too’ and stepped out of the way to let her in. Behind her wondered in a living skeleton dressed in a blue hoodie jacket, Jurassic park shirt and shorts. You hope he wasn’t offended by Arthur. Finally, behind him came a small child with curly brown hair, dressed in overalls and a striped jumper. Adorable.

You sat down at the desk you had set up for the four of you, gently tapping your nails on the artificial wood. Were you nervous? Yes. Are you going let that affect you? No…hopefully not.

”hey buddy, look at that. looks like papyrus.”

The skeleton was looking at Arthur-itis and Frisk was giggling. They looked happy and safe which was a good sign.

”So, it’s nice to meet you all. My name’s Miss Stryker but you can call me Andy. I’m very excited for Frisk too start tomorrow.”

You have them a warm smile, leaning back slightly on your chair. They all seemed sweet but Frisk began to cling to the queens side.

”It’s a pleasure to meet you too, Andy. I’m Toriel, Frisk’s main care taker. And this is—“

”sans, sans the skeleton. the puns around here are pretty humerus.”

He pointed to the closest pun poster and you blinked, slightly confused. Humorous? Humerus…oh. Oh! You snickered and so did Toriel and Frisk. Maybe you should…

”Wow, that was a real rib-tickler.”

You joked back and Sans’ face seemed to light up a little bit as he let out a small chuckle. Frisks guardians seemed like relatively nice, sweet people. They were funny (especially the skeleton) and Toriel even gave you a piece of butterscotch pie and offered you to come round for dinner once Frisk had settled in. You happily accepted the offer as you ate noodles or take away for dinner most nights.

Half way through the conversation, you noticed Frisk tug gently on Sans’ arm and sign something too him. He whispered something too then that you couldn’t quite hear and the child came nervously up to your side, signing ’can I go look around the room?’ You gave them a warm smile.

”sure sweetie, you go right ahead and look at whatever you want.”

They gave you a shy smile before walking off to go and look around. Eventually, Toriel and Sans finished up asking all their questions and answering most of yours, you discussed who would be dropping them off and picking them up. Toriel would be dropping them off pretty much every day and it would be either Sans, Papyrus (who you learnt was Sans’ brother) or Undyne who would pick them up. And you were happy with that.

So after they left, you hopped in your car and headed straight home. They were nice and you were happy they didn’t assume the worst of you. But spending all day worrying had made you exausted.

Opening the door, you were greeted by a big ball of purring fluff rubbing up against your leg and meowing at you.

”oh hello Big mama!”

You leant down for pick up the cat, immediately getting a face full of cat head. You had rescued Big Mama from the streets when you had first moved here and found out she was pregnant a week after. You gave away all her kittens to friends and coworkers cause you couldn’t handle all of them on your own.

You placed a Sache of wet food into Big Mamas food bowl before collapsing onto the couch and switching on one of your favourite shows and getting cozy. Your eyes began to droop and you shifted in your spot. You could fight off sleep till the end of this episode, right? No. No, you really couldn’t.

Chapter 3: I'll look after you

Summary:

Frisk and Flowey appreciation post because they're my children and I love them

Notes:

thanks for 100 hits!!

Chapter Text

How excited the other kids got when they realised they had a new child in their class was slightly surprising. Living in a small town meant you never really had new students but it was always really exciting for the kids (and you) when there was a new addition. You knew that communicating with the other children wold be quite difficult for Frisk as they were mute and most human children didn't know sign language (it was definitely impressive how much sign language Frisk knew, they were a very mature kid) but you'd be there to help them the best you could. That's why you were specifically chosen too teach them, everything would go absolutely perfectly.

Frisk was dropped off by Toriel, who you saw press a gentle kiss to the nervous child's head even though she looked slightly on edge herself, probably due to the different range of fearful and judgemental looks she was receiving from the other parents. This is why you worked with children, they were a lot more welcoming. Frisk was quickly ushered in by the Queen who gave you a soft wave before quickly walking off herself.

Acting like you couldn't hear the hateful comments from some of the parents, you greeted Frisk with a warm smile. They were dressed in a green and white striped jumper with a dinosaur embroidered on the chest, they must really like stripes. In their arms, they were carrying a medium sized plant pot with a buttercup in it. You had been told that Frisk would bring a 'friend' with them sometimes but you assumed it would be a small stuffed animal or toy. That's okay, you could just ask them to put it on the windowsill and let them water it in between lessons.

You watched as Frisk found their own desk, set the plant down and- holy shit the flower has a face. And it talks. Right, that was fine, totally normal. You made your way over too Frisk's desk, bending down next to the small desk when you reached them. Both them and the flower had turned to look at you in a confused way. God you had never seen a plant that looked so judgemental.

"Hey buddy. I didn't know you were bringing a friend! Who's this?"

The flower scoffed and turned away, muttering something under its breath as its petals ruffled up almost defensively. That earned a small giggle from Frisk, who lifted their hands up and started to sign something to you; 'his names Flowey. He's a grumpy butt but he's my friend and translator.' Oh, well that was useful and the friendly, childish insult brought a small smile to your face. They signed something along the lines of 'say hello' and the flower looked at you before he finally grumbled a quiet hello and low effort wave from one of his leaves which earned a disappointed huff from the child as they puffed out their cheeks. You just assumed that the flower was a little bit shyer than Frisk who'd seemed to warm up too you surprisingly quick. You gave him a confident hello back before telling them both to come and find you if they needed any help and making your way too the front of the class to begin the day.

First lesson of the day was science, which Frisk was absolutely amazing at. They answered a lot of questions and completed their work sheet in record time, it was like they'd been in your 3rd grade class since the start of the year. Sure, maybe there was a bit of cheating as the lesson was about photosynthesis and Flowey seemed to be helping them but oh well, you'd let them both off. it was the first day after all. Surprisingly, they did almost perfect in every other lesson as well. They struggled slightly in maths but you couldn't blame them, you found fractions hard when you were their age too.

During break them and Flowey sat inside, parked right next too your desk making them look like they were in trouble. They both seemed too be in their own little world and eventually you were pulled into the conversation too. You convinced them to both try and go socialise during their lunch, which they hesitantly agreed to after a lot of convincing.

Lunch however, was the one part of the day that went wrong. You sat at your desk, scarfing down a delicious piece of butterscotch pie that Toriel had given you. Then, as you looked up you noticed a big group of kids gathered around in a circle, screaming and shouting, that couldn't be good. Walking outside, the kids shouting 'fight' made you quicken your pace. You pushed through the crowd just in time to see a 4th grader push Frisk to the ground, causing Flowey's pot to drop and skid away from them. That definitely left a crack. Frisk's golden brown eyes welled with tears as the shook, try to make a grab for Flowey. Damien, the kid who was doing this to the poor child, stood on one of Frisk's outstretched hands and they yelped in pain.

"You live with freaks! I bet you're a freak as well, huh? A freaky little baby!"

"Damien Fernández! What do you thin your doing!?"

You never really shouted kids, but this was a reason to shout. You told Frisk to go and wait for you inside in a calm tone. You watched as the crying child scooped up their companion and took off inside before taking Damien to the principals office. The kid was sent home and suspended for a month and you were glad he was. Frisk was a sweet, innocent kid who just wanted to help. You checked their hand and, luckily, there were no breaks. You placed a plaster on the fresh graze on their cheek (and a plaster on the crack in floweys pot) and let them both go sit in the reading corner for as long as they needed. Flowey was understandably very angry, you would be too if someone had treated your friend that way and there was nothing you could do to stop them.

By the time the parents came, the two had cheered up significantly, telling you how they read a book about a talking bear that went to London. Opening the door, you began letting go children until it came down to two skeletons. A familiar short one and a tall one who seemed to be the Papyrus they were talking about when you first met. Now you felt bad that you would have to ruin the mood by telling them about what had happened with Frisk this afternoon. Frisk ran straight into Papyrus' arms, who scooped them both up and began to throw them up.

"how was the kids day? they do okay?"

You looked down at Sans with an anxious smile, god how on earth were you supposed to tell him.

"Well... actually, they've been great in lessons. They're very smart for their age. But at lunch today there was a kid who was picking on Frisk but it was sorted by the principal and...yeah."

Sans was quiet, you didn't like it.

"sounds like the principal really schooled him"

What? ...oh 'schooled'. You burst into a fit of giggles, putting a hand to your face as you let out a loud ugly snort. The joke really wasn't that funny, it was just the timing that was making you laugh this way. You felt a skeletal hand nudge your shoulder.

"got a note for ya, mine n' tori's number is on there. she wants to know what day your free for dinner with us and a few friends."

Calming yourself down, you too the note off of him and read it. The handwriting was very neat and Toriel's name was at the bottom. Under that was a ps with someone else's number and Sans' name. You looked up too thank him but he was gone.

Chapter 4: friends in all the right places

Summary:

guys, its starting.

Notes:

this chapter involves things such as cat calling and being sexually harassed later on in the chapter, please be warned that nothing too bad happens but I understand that it can still be a bit off putting.

Chapter Text

You were nervous, very nervous. Finally, after a few weeks of teaching Frisk, Toriel had absolutely insisted you come out for dinner with them. Honestly, you'd ran out of excuses to get out of the situation. You kinda knew who to expect as you'd met everyone who picked up Frisk very briefly. Sure, you had some familiar faces there. Frisk was going to be there (and possibly Flowey) alongside Toriel and Sans who always stayed for a quick chat about Frisk's day or just to crack some puns in Sans' case But what if they didn't actually like you once they learnt more about you, or what if you say something offensive by accident? Surely they'd all hate you then, right?

The place you were meeting them at was unfamiliar to you, some newly opened monster owned place a few blocks away called Grillby's. Though, from the reviews online, the food was some of the best in town. That was slightly reassuring. But what if you got lost and came late? no, you wouldn't.

You grabbed a very simple  dress paired simple easy to style flat pumps. makeup for today was very basic because you didn't want too look like you were trying too much. Looking up at the clock, you quickly realised what time it was, grabbed you things and rushed out your door. Grillby's only a few minutes away, so maybe if you walked fast enough you'd be just on time. This was going to go perfectly. It had to go perfectly.

Arriving at the bar and grill was... strange to say the least. It was bustling with all different kinds of monsters, which really didn't bother you all too much. It was more so the fact that you were the only human here. Not feeling out of place at all. You took in a deep breath, looking for everyone, you weren't early. 3 minutes late actually. But you couldn't see anyone that you recognised. Maybe you had the wrong place or maybe they didn't really want too meet you after all. The feeling of a small child's arms being thrown round your hips and a face dug into your side soon snapped you out of your thoughts. Looking down, your eyes met with big excited brown ones.

"Hey Frisk, how you doing buddy?"

They gave you a smile so full of joy that it was infectious. As you reached down too ruffle their hair, a loud 'NYEH HEH HEH!' came from the doors that actually made you jump slightly. Papyrus burst through the doors, scooping Frisk up into his arms. Sans walked in soon after, obviously not having been far behind.

"HELLO FRISKS TEACHER FRIEND!"

Papyrus was beaming, a positive ray of sunshine from what you'd gathered in the first 30 seconds of properly talking to him and every time he picked up Frisk from school. It was slightly overwhelming but you worked with little menaces five days a week so it was nothing you couldn't deal with. His brother, who you had noticed already talking to some of the people in here, was very laid back and relaxed which was actually a very nice change in pace come pickup.

Frisk and Papyrus pulled you to a 6 seat table and you chose to sit beside Frisk. Flowey was placed on the table between the two of you. After greeting just about everyone in the place, Sans eventually strolled over too the table and sat himself on the seat right beside you. Frisk was sat beside you signing about who was going to come and how their day had been so far, they were such a sweet kid. You asked them how they feel about school and they replied 'I really love it!' before starting to talk about all the new friends they've made. Recently, you've noticed them begin to talk to one of the girls in your class, Clementine. Flowey seemed to do a lot of the talking for them but they made it work. Eventually, Frisk turned and began to talk to Papyrus. You sat there in silence for a moment, tapping your fingers on the table anxiously. Sans seemed to take notice of that as a moment later you were being nudged by a bony elbow.

"you okay there, pal? if you're worried about undyne and alphys, don't be. they're gonna think you're grilliant.

'Grilliant'? oh... you were in Grillby's. You let out a snort as you moved your hand to cover your mouth as you snickered. Sans, the bastard that he was, looked so so smug as he was getting lectured by papyrus for his clever quip.  Frisk giggled alongside you and Flowey, Flowey just looked fed up. You didn't blame him, he probably had to listen to different peoples shenanigans daily. Not soon after that little display, Undyne and - who you assumed to be- Alphys walked through the door. You'd only met undyne a few times briefly when she came to pick up Frisk and Flowey from school, she seemed very rambunctious and very strong for a fish lady. You'd never met Alphys but you had heard about her from Frisk but Flowey seemed to mostly avoid the topic of her so all you really knew was that the had a massive crush on Undyne and that she was a scientist. you could get behind that, you had a biology degree so technically you were a scientist too.

"S-So your the teacher F-Frisk has been telling us all about, h-huh? M-man I totally l-love your hair, i-it reminds me of one of my favourite M-Mew Mew character."

Alphys was leaning around Sans -who leant back in his chair to make in easier for her- to look at you, her eyes massively magnified by her round glasses. You returned her compliment with a shy smile on your face, you stretched your arm out in an effort to get a handshake from her.

"Thanks! I really like your glasses. You must be Alphys, right? I'm Andy."

She gripped your hand tightly and shook it, man she had sweaty palms. Undyne seemed to notice you as well and shook your hand as well, but man her grip was bone crushing -after she let go you made sure you still had feeling in your hand. After talking to the two for a little while, you'd learned a bit about them but you were pretty sure they'd learned a lot more about you. You asked Frisk about they’re never ending questioning while everyone else was talking about what food to get and they explained how monsters were very curious, especially about humans because most monsters hadn’t seen many or any humans until Frisk had fallen down and even if they did, it was never really a friendly meeting.

"what you having pal?"

Through meeting and talking to Undyne and Alphys, you had kind of, maybe, forgotten to look at the menu. So you were gonna play it safe, kids were picky and so were you.

"I'll just have whatever Frisk gets."

Which you discovered was a delicious looking burger and fries when the food came, you really hadn't realised how hungry you were until now. You immediately dug into your food and it was magical, like actually magical. You could eat this every day and never get bored, you ended up finishing before everyone else on your table -Undyne was a close second- and went back to talking. At least 5 times you had heard how grateful they were that you were actually willing to teach Frisk either indirectly or straight up directly. It was nice praise but you didn't really deserve it. It was your job to teach children.

Around 8, Frisk, Flowey, Sans and Papyrus left as they had to get Frisk to bed and you left soon after. You were pretty exhausted from being full of unnecessary adrenaline and you just wanted to go home to your bed and Big Mama. But being a woman had its downsides, specifically drunk horny men catcalling you.

"Hey there pretty lady, how bout you come back with me?"

Just ignore him, he'll get bored and go away eventually.

"Cmon, I'll show you a good time."

Please just go away.

"Don't ignore me you fucking whore."

You just wanted to go home. The man grabbed your wrist and you spun around to face him, you felt your face become wet.

"Don't act like you don't' want this. You wouldn't be dressed like a-"

The man was surrounded by blue and thrown away from you by some invisible force and you felt a gentle, skeletal hand on your arm. You looked to your right to see...Sans? He was looking up at you, his usual grin replaced with a concerned frown.

"you okay buddy?"

You shook your head no, letting out a loud shaky sob.

"guess i'm walking you home then."

All you remembered that night was that Sans didn’t like Big Mama all that much.

Chapter Text

You woke up to a sunrays blaring in your eyes and very happy, fed siberian cat asleep at your feet. Clearly, you'd had forgotten to close your blinds and you definitely hadn't fed Big Mama last night, but that means Sans must've. Last night, it kinda seemed like he was avoiding her but it was nice of him to do that for you. Reaching for your phone, you winced at the brightness before you slowly adjusted. 10:15 am, 7 new messages, 2 from 'Sans' , 4 from 'idiot', 1 from 'mom.'. You quickly cleared one of the messages and then clicked on Sans' messages.

Sans

"hope ur doin ok"

"txt me when ur up"

"!Im up, thanks for last night"

"I really appreciate it"

All you got back from the skeleton was a simple thumbs up emoji and that was enough for you, you'd already figured out he wasn't much of a texter. You scrolled onto your contacts, thumb hovering hesitantly over your mother's contact for before instead deciding to click on the contact labeled 'idiot'. Marj had been your best friend since you moved here and she was really great. The two of you had met when she spilt the majority of your drink on your white top at the cafe she used to work at. Marjorie then had seemed very pathetic, now she was just a menace to your life. You loved her either way though.

idiot

"HEY ANDYYYY"

"ME AND SENNA ARE GOING TO A BAR NEAR URS"

"U WANNA COME???"

"ITS CALLED GRILLBYS"

"I was there last night but im free"

"were you on a hot date??"

You snickered, texting back a quick 'no' before shutting your phone off. With a loud click from your back, you sat up and stretched. a loud sigh of relief came from the feeling, teetering on the edge of being a moan. You ran your hand over the sooth fur of the cat before you stood up and shuffled your ass into the kitchen for breakfast. As you poured your cereal, you realised you didn't exactly remember changing into your pyjamas last night. Quickly stoppin where that train of thought was going, you headed into the living room, coco pops in hand.

Plopping yourself onto the couch, you flicked on the tv as you scarfed down your cereal. You weren't really paying attention to the tv until you noticed a crying monster on the screen, an arctic fox looking woman who was stood next to a tall black wolf man (who you assumed to be her husband). Both looked terribly distraught and you felt so bad for them. The lady sobbed as an image of a little grey fox popped up and underneath in a little red box were the words 'pronounced dead.' and you were disgusted when you heard he was targeted by a gang of human adult men and murdered on his way home from school. Judging by the striped shirt of the kid in the picture (frisk had explained that rule to you), he was still a kid. How could someone do something so heartless to a little kid? You felt sick knowing that could happen to any of your new friends, especially Frisk.

You distracted yourself by beginning to get ready to go out. Marj had shot you a text to be ready for two and it was 11:38 so you had just the right amount of time. you hopped in the shower, got into an outfit (choosing the sleeveless shirt with the mesh in the back that you liked because it showed off the majority of your tattoos) and blow drying your hair. Ending up with an extra 10 minutes, you fed big mama and grabbed a bag before being notified that Marj and senna were outside.

As you slid into the back seat, you were met with an immediate punch in the arm, so you knew that Marjorie was here. You could see Serenity's beautiful blonde hair in the in the driver's seat and in front of you was...Cain. You and Marjorie hated Senna's boyfriend. He was dirty, lazy and down right rude. Not to mention he'd been spreading his racist view on monsters since the day they had came to they to the surface.

Marj must've noticed the look on your face as she snickered and you rolled your eyes. You nudged her gently before looking out of the window. Wait... Grillby's was monster run and owned, you looked back over to Marjorie and she just winked. You snickered, leaning back as you hummed along quietly to a song on the radio.

You made your way inside the restaurant and sat down in a little booth, Marj walked off to go get drinks and you had to stop yourself from laughing at Cain's quiet disgusted face. Senna was making quiet conversation about how nice the place was and you had to agree, you'd thought that last night but didn't want to bring it up. Marj came back with drinks, a beer for Cain while you and Serenity had asked to be surprised and she had definitely delivered.

"Oh by the way Andy, some skeleton dude at the bar told me to tell you he said hi."

Marjorie noted as she sat next to you, causing you to peek up to see which one of the brothers it was. The blue jacket you spotted made you immediately realise that Sans was here. A small smile came to your face as you reminded yourself to thank him for feeding your cat last night.

"Oh, that's just Sans. He's one of the monster ambassadors caretakers, they're all really nice. I really need to thank him after last night..."

"Ooooh-"

"Nothing happened Marj."

"Booooo! You're no fun."

She frowned, gently barging into you as Serenity giggled and Cain sat there with a disgusted look on his face. He could go fuck himself. Marjorie kept talking,l eventually moving on from the topic. Phone in hand under the table, you checked your messages as your phone buzzed.

Sans

"wow not coming to say hi to me, harsh kid"

"I'll come over when Marjorie stops talking"

"that who that is?"

"i can hear her from here."

That caused you to snicker as you downed the remainder of your drink before yourself from the table, slipping out and over to Sans. You hopped up on a bar stool beside the skeleton, ordering another drink.

"she sounds pretty humerus."

"Your bone puns are weak, they need more calcium."

He chuckled, sipping on- is that fucking ketchup? You weren't going to question it. You thanked Grillby, handing him the money for your drink as you took a sip from it.

"oh, by the way. al and 'dyne wanted to know if you wanted to come to the anime movie night tomorrow after work. oh and the kid asked me to add you to our group chat."

Anime movie night? Man you hadn't watched any anime since your teen years and being added to the group chat already, monsters really did make friends quickly. You agreed to both, looking back to the booth to spot your friends only to realise, they'd left you. Great. You finished off another drink, idly chatting with Sans as you did before realising you had to get back and feed your fat cat. Hopping off the bar stool, you wished Sans a good afternoon but he was beside you in a second.

"let me walk ya back."

And how could you say no to that?

Notes:

i know the fics going kinda slow but trust me, ive got so so much planned >:33

Chapter 6: i'm so stupid, even the kid knows it.

Summary:

andy is...coming to terms with something.

Chapter Text

You groaned, your eyes squinting open as your alarm went off. 6 am. Work...yay. With a groan, you stretched your arms above your head, feet landing onto the soft carpet. You reached to stroke the cat at the end of your bed...but she wasn't there. That was...weird. Big mama always slept at the bottom of your bed. Curious, you wandered into the kitchen, maybe she had broken into her dry food again. However, she wasn't there either. Living room maybe?

You went to call the cats name loudly until you saw where she was. Cuddled up in a blue jacket, phalanges tangled in her overwhelming amount of fur, your very asleep cat was cuddled up to next to a very asleep (and quietly snoring) Sans. You didn't want to wake them up, they both looked so tired and peaceful and adorable...adorable was definitely for the cat. But, you needed to get to work. Maybe moving the cat would wake them both up?

Turns out, it didn't. You stared at the still asleep Sans as the grumpy sleepy fluffball in your arms wriggled and scratched your arm. You let out a yelp dropping your cat, who seemed to always not land on her feet despite the saying. You looked down too coo and apologise to see that she was being gently lowered to the ground by the same blue force that had thrown that creep away from you. Seeming just as confused as you, Big mama scurried off to your room. You met the eye sockets of a barely awake skeleton.

"mornin'."

His smile was softer than it usually was and his voice was ever so slightly raspier and was it bad that him just looking at you was making your face warm right now? You swallowed, blinking at him before clearing your throat.

"Took you long enough."

You muttered, turning away. He chuckled, sitting up and reaching for his phone. you felt bad, did your yelp wake him up?

"i can always tell when a cat-astrophe is 'bout ta happen"

That made you snicker, heading back too your room to get changed for your day at work. As you got changed and ready for your day, you listened to the background noise of Sans' voice talking to what you assumed to be Papyrus. Big Mama looked at you in away that made you felt like she knew something about you as that you didn't. You straightened your frizzy hair and you nervously stepped out of your room to find the very same skeleton who was asleep 5 minutes ago waiting for you by the front door.

"don't mind if i ride with you right? 'll jus' walk with tori when she drops off the kid."

He was riding with you. That was fine, it's what friends are for. Friends, brain, just friends.

"Yeah, just go hop in."

He shot you a wink before teleporting away, assumedly to your car. You gathered some of things before stepping out of your apartment, heading towards your car. You saw the skeleton over the dashboard on your car's front window, he looked so small... it was honestly hilarious. You hopped in the driver's seat and off you went.

By the time you got to the school, you had almost crashed your car due to the skeletons stupid puns. You approached your classroom to see you had some early birds. Frisks curls bobbed as they ran towards you, giving sans a hug after you. You waved a hand at Toriel and flowey, a warm smile coming onto the goat lady's face.

"Hello Andy, someone was very excited to get here today and... I'd like to have a little chat with you about Frisks math grades."

You heard a childish huff from behind you, a pout on Frisk's face. You giggled and ushered them all inside, Sans sticking close by your side. That was sweet...no. stop. There was an evil look on Frisk's face and you realised that today was gonna be an absolute nightmare.
