Chapter Text

Chapter 1

Transylvania - 1887

It wasn’t a common night like many others, it was very cold, and the most dangerous storm had unleashed. Darkness was all around, since the moonlight couldn’t break through the heavy clouds. The rain kept pouring like it had decided to fill a complete ocean, and as time passed, more lightning seemed to make their appearance.

Dr. Victor Frankenstein was working as hard as he could, he needed to make his work of a lifetime successful. The weather was just in perfect conditions for his experiment. As more and more lightning began to appear, his mood increased exponentially, since he needed all the electricity he could get.

It was going to be a very long night, he was just getting started and he was already tired, having spent the whole day preparing for this moment.

The machine began to initiate the sequence, and once the storm was at its peak, he pulled the leaver to start transmitting the electricity collected from the lightning to the corpse laying on the table. The voltage was so powerful that it fulfilled the Dr’s desire, bringing the creature to life.

Victor couldn’t believe it, he was so incredibly excited, he had achieved his purpose. He wanted the people to know that God was not the only one who could create life.

He was thrilled and started caressing the newly born creature, taking to him as a father would to his son. The moment didn’t last long, however, since he heard a loud bang at the castle’s door and soon realized that the villagers were after him, for the sin of desecrating graves, to obtain the materials he needed for work. The good doctor was already planning a big escape with his creature, when the count materialized in front of him.

“What a fantastic job. Well done, Dr.! I knew I could count on you, although I must admit I was starting to lose my faith”. Said the count with an evil smile. “It’s such a shame, though, that the most important day in your life, your biggest triumph, is being eclipsed by such a silly thing as the villagers’ revenge for grave robbery” Said the count with an incredible evil and wicked smile.

“Yes, well. I will make an escape with my creature. No one will ever find us again” Frankenstein said as he started to prepare a bag with all the things he would need to survive.

“Oh! But where are you going to run, Victor?” Said Dracula with false interest, “Your unusual experiments have made you unwelcome in most of the civilized parts of the world”.

“I need to escape. I’ll take him away, where no one will harm him”

“I’m afraid I can’t allow that, Dr., the time has come for me to take control over your creature.”

“What do you mean to control my creature?”

“Victor, Victor, Victor. How naive! Why do you think I brought you here, gave you this castle and everything you needed for your little experiment to succeed?”

“But count, you said that you believed in my work”

“I do, Victor! But, as you said so yourself, it’s a triumph! Science has been revolutionized and we defied God. Now, it’s time for your creature to serve my purpose”

“What purpose?” Said the worried doctor. “What are you going to do to him?”

Dracula starts explaining his plan to the doctor as the villagers break into the castle and approach them.

“Good God. I prefer to kill myself than help you with this atrocity”

“Be my guest, Victor. I don’t need you anymore. I just need your creature, that’s the center piece of my plan.”

“I would never allow for him to be used in such an evil way”

“Oh! But I will! In fact, my lovely brides are insisting upon it” said Dracula with determination.

“Igor! Igor! Please, help us”

“You have been so kind to me, doctor! Always respectful and caring! Yet, the count is the one who pays me” said Igor laughing.

Victor withdrew his sword and threatened the count. “Stay back, I won’t hesitate to use it”

The count laughed at him, “you can’t kill me, Victor. I’m already dead!” He proceeded to walk towards Frankenstein, stabbing himself with the sword.

“What are you?” He asked bewildered.

“I’m the devil” said the count while killing Victor, drinking until the last drop of his blood.

The creature broke free from the table and picked the Drs corpse. He ran away with his father in his arms while being chased by the angry villagers. He stepped inside a windmill looking for shelter, but the crowd outside were already throwing fire torches. The creature tried his best to escape, but the wood gave out to the fire, and the structure collapsed. That was the last time they saw Victor Frankenstein and his creature, consumed by fire.

Paris 1888

Kara doesn’t remember her last name or her past life, she’s still not entirely sure who she is, she just knows what her duty is. The cardinals and priests of the Vatican have always told her that she is a miracle send by God himself, to help them fight against the evil forces, to protect humanity and bring peace.

For that reason, she works as a Knight of the Holy Order, but no one knows this, since the order belongs to a secret catholic organization runed by the Vatican. This is why she is the most wanted person in Europe, people see her as a murderer, and she can’t even explain herself. It all started when she appeared almost dead, lying on the Vatican stairs, covered in blood and wounds, her blonde hair all dirty and tangled.
The Pope saw her and immediately knew she was the warrior they dreamed of. Such a tall and strong alpha could be the best weapon they needed to maintain peace. From that moment, her training started, and she eventually became the best knight of them all. Fearless, confident, strong and agile, those were some of the characteristics that best describe her. The tuition wasn’t an easy process at all, she was thought by all kinds of priests, cardinals, friars and even the Pope himself had to assist with her training through the years.

All that led her here, to Paris. She was chasing yet another monster.

The night was cold and foggy, when she heard a woman screaming. She ran towards the sound, but by the time she arrived, the girl was already dead. Kara inspected the body and its surroundings, the place smelled of Dr. Jekyll’s alpha horny pheromones. She found a piece of cigar which she recognized as the cigars that the curious creature smoked.

So, the mighty alpha followed the cigar scent and the pheromones to the Notre Dame cathedral, searching for her next target. Kara climbed the bell tower and waited till the monster showed himself.

Dr Jekyll was hanging from the wooden beam in front of her.

“You’re a big alpha” he said while sniffing at her, “you might be hard to digest”

“Sorry, I’d hate to be such a nuisance.” She said unamused, while rolling her eyes.

The monster started maniacally laughing.

“I missed you in London” the blonde alpha said.

“Missed me? I wouldn’t say that. You got me pretty good” he said while showing a bullet wound in his arm to Kara.

“Dr. Jekyll, you’re wanted by the knights of the Holy Order” she was interrupted by the monster. “It’s Mr. Hyde now” the monster alpha screamed.

Kara rolled her eyes again. “Will you let me finish? Your wanted for the murder of 12 men, 6 women and 4 children” Kara said seriously.

Mr. Hyde started laughing again. “So, you’re the one they call Kara Van Helsing”.

“And you’re a psychopath,” said the blonde.

“We all have our little problems, Van Helsing” said Mr. Hyde as he ate his cigar.

“Yes, well. My superiors would like me to take you back to Rome alive, however, I prefer to kill you right now and call it a day! I think I will let you choose which one you prefer”

The beast punches Kara on her chest and throws her flying through the room. Kara starts shooting her pistols at the monster, but even though he’s big, he’s very agile. They continue to fight, Kara using different types of weapons, until she cuts Mr. Hyde’s arm. The crazy monster gets incredibly mad and throws Kara trough the concrete ceiling.

The blonde alpha lands and grunts in pain, just as she’s about to get up, the tormented doctor picked her up and threw her from the tallest part. Kara quickly started searching for the right tool to use when she found her hook weapon. She fired the gun, and the hook went right through Mr. Hyde’s abdomen. He caught the rope and started pulling her up, however, he didn’t notice he was so close to the border as he fell. The rope was cut loose, and Mr. Hyde was falling while turning into Dr Jekyll again. He smashed against the floor and was dead in an instant. Kara saw all from above and crossed herself, wishing for him to rest in peace.

Meanwhile, on the ground, the police officers were gathering around the body. The captain looked up and noticed Kara, he screamed from the top of his lungs “damn you Kara Van Helsing! You’re a murderer!”

The travel back to the Vatican was peaceful, thankfully. She needed rest. Once she arrived, the alpha went to find her superior to inform him of the past events.

“This is why you’re the most wanted person in Europe, Kara. There are a lot of wanted posters with your name on it”. Said the beta. “Don’t get me wrong, you’re the best knight and you always complete successfully your missions, but your methods attract too many people”. Said the cardinal.

“That’s why you’re here for, right? Why can’t you just make it all disappear?” Asked the frustrated and tired alpha.

“Because, Kara, we don’t exist,” said the religious man.

“Well, then, neither do I,” said Kara.

“Don’t be like that, Van Helsing! You know this is your responsibility! This is your destiny. We have known that since we found you nearly dying on the stairs”

Kara rolled her eyes again; she was getting tired of hearing this every single time.

“Now come, there’s another important mission for you”

“Already? But I just got here” asked the tired alpha.

“I know, but this is a VERY important mission, Kara! You are God´s weapon”

“Why doesn’t he do it himself?”

“Don’t be blasphemous, Van Helsing! We are the last defense against evil forces the humankind doesn’t even know about! That’s why you need to go east, to Transylvania”

“Transylvania? Why?”

“Well, you see: the villagers are being terrorized by some evil creatures” said the cardinal while showing the pictures to Kara. “Count Dracula! You’ve never faced an enemy like this one before”, he said while Dracula’s picture appeared on the screen. “The story begins 450 years ago, when a brave knight named Leopold Luthor promised God that him and his family wouldn’t be able to rest or enter heaven until Dracula was defeated for good”. Said the superior while passing the photos. “Obviously, they haven’t succeeded and they’re running out of family members”, the beta continued to pass the photos.

“This young man right here is Alexander Luthor, alpha. He’s better known as Lex. And this young lady is his sister, Lena Luthor, omega. He said with a smirk while looking at Kara.

“Woah”, Kara froze in place. She had never seen such a beautiful creature before. They kept staring at the picture, taking all of the details in. Her gorgeous green eyes, soft and yet very commanding, her beautiful raven hair, her skin white as the snow and her VERY sexy body figure. Kara was starting to get a little too excited looking at the omegas picture, she could feel herself starting to get hard. “What’s wrong with me? I don’t even know her! This has never happened before” she thought to herself.

“Beautiful, isn’t she?” Asked the beta. “The most beautiful omega my eyes have ever seen” he said while looking at Kara, smiling as if he knew what was happening with her. “They’re both direct descendants of Leopold, so their purpose in life is to kill the evil count.” He said as his gaze returned to the screen. “This is their father, Lionel Luthor. He disappeared almost a year ago, no one knows what happened to him. The siblings are the only ones left and if they fail to kill Dracula, nine generations of their family won’t be able to enter heaven! We can’t let them sleep in the purgatory. That’s why you need to go there and do God’s work!”

“Oh! So, you want me to save them from purgatory but you’re sending me to hell?” asked Kara sarcastically.

“Come on, brave knight! Don’t be like that. Only you can complete this mission, and they really need your help”.

“Ugh, fine!” Said Kara huffing, “when do I leave?”

“This is top priority, so you need to leave as soon as Winn provides you with everything you could possibly need.” He said while smiling. “Ah! Also, you must take Winn.”

Kara just shook her head and went to find Winn.

“Hey, Winn! What do you have for me?”
“Hey, Kara! Welcome back!” He said while smiling brightly at Kara.
Winn was a very lovely beta, her best friend. He has always supported her no matter what and dedicated himself to creating different types of weapons and munitions that she may need in her adventures.
“I have a lot of new toys you might be interested in” the beta said proudly while showing Kara all the new weapons and showing her how to use it.
They both packed everything they needed and left the headquarters, setting their course to Rumania.

Chapter Text

Chapter 2

Lex was chained to a tree, hoping to capture the werewolf that had been killing the villagers. It was a trap that he and Lena had set up earlier. After discussing what the plan would be, the siblings hugged each other and went to their respective positions.

As Lex waited attached to the tree, they heard a growl and saw the big beast coming their way. Once the wolf was close enough, Lex did a back flip, freeing himself from his cuffs and standing above the tree. The brave alpha prince started to climb the rope to get away from the monster.

“Pull me up” Lex screamed to his teammate.

“I’m trying, but it got stuck” confessed the man.

That’s when Lena came in, she was running towards her brother to help him. Lex saw this and ordered for the man in the ground to cut the rope.

That activated the trap mechanism and captured the angry gray werewolf. The brave alpha tried to shoot the beast with a silver bullet, but, since all the other team members started shooting at the caged monster, they started to damage the ropes with their bullets.

“Wait! Stop! You’re damaging the ropes and you’re only making the wolf angrier. You need to hit him with a silver bullet” Lena screamed to the other men in the ground.

One of the cage’s ropes broke and hit Lex very hard against the other tree and he dropped his pistol. Another bullet broke the remaining rope holding the trap and it fell to the floor, angering more the werewolf inside.

As the cage broke and the beast was loose, it started chasing Lena. The omega princess ran as fast as she could to escape the monster but came to an abrupt stop when she almost fell off the cliff. Her heart was rising, pumping her blood with so much adrenaline.

She turned around when she heard the beast’s steps coming towards her, just before the beast reached her, Lex came out of nowhere and pushed her aside. The alpha prince and the werewolf fell to the river.

Lena couldn’t believe it! Her brother was dead! Her protective, caring brother was gone. She would have to die to see him again someday.

She went home, took a bath and changed her clothes to clean herself. Her stressed pheromones were very prominent.

It was a long journey from Rome to Romania, but finally, they arrived at their destination.

The village was mixed with all kinds of people: alphas, betas and omegas. This was new to Winn, since he had never left the order headquarters until now. So many different smells started to make him nauseous, so he had to concentrate in the one aroma he recognized: her best friend’s pheromones.

Kara was no stranger to different smells, in fact, it was part of her job to use her sense of smell.

They were greeted by the grave digger, a tall and skinny alpha, long white hair and very pale skin.

“And who might you be? What are you doing here?” asked the cemetery worker while trying to impose his alpha’s pheromones.

Winn was very nervous, he was an inventor, not a knight. The beta didn’t know what to do.

“Who we are doesn’t matter. We are here to help”. Said Kara, looking at their surroundings.

“Is it the same every time?” asked the frightened inventor.

“Pretty much, yeah! Let’s just say people don’t really like me” answer the blonde alpha.

“Oh! But it does,” said a pleasant voice.

Kara could smell the new pheromones in the air. It smelled like nothing she had ever smelled before, it was delicious and had the alpha searching for the origin of such exquisite smell. When Kara turned around, she froze. Right before her, was standing the omega princess with her eyebrow raised as a form of interrogation. Kara couldn’t keep her eyes off her. If she was beautiful in a picture, she was even more perfect in person.

Once again, Kara’s alpha started to react to Lena’s omega. She started thinking about kissing those perfect pink lips and all the other things she could do with Lena, to Lena. Thoughts of mating and knotting the gorgeous omega before her where automatic and she needed to think about something else before everyone discovered she was horny.

She tried to calm down and expel relaxing pheromones.

“We’re here to help you defeat Dracula. Let us help” said Kara, starring at those beautiful green eyes.

“Why would you think I need or want your help? You are foreigners and foreigners aren’t welcomed here”.

“You clearly need my help” said Kara while lifted her crossbow, aiming right behind Lena’s head.

“What?” Asked Lena perplexed. She then heard a very familiar noise and turned around, behind her, Dracula’s brides were flying towards her. She’s the only objective. They need to end the Luthor linage.

Kara fired her weapon and started hitting her targets, but they kept going unharmed.

Lena was fighting the other brides inside a house.

“Lena dear, so good to see you” said Aleera, one of Dracula’s brides.

“Wish I could say the same” spat furiously the omega.

“Aww! Don’t say that! I know you like me; I know deep down you’re just a lustful little omega, waiting for a strong alpha to breed her” said the vampire laughing. “You’re so beautiful, Lena! Your beauty has no equal, you could come with us and be the master’s fourth bride”.

“Never” said Lena very determined.

“Shame, I was kind of hoping I could taste your delicious body. Guess I’ll have to satisfy myself with your blood instead” said Aleera while changing to her vampire form.

Lena ran out of the house and found Kara trying to fight the vampires.

“What’s going on, Winn? This isn’t working!” asked a very unhappy Kara.

“You have never fought a vampire before, have you?” Asked her best friend. “You need to dip the stakes in holy water. Here, catch!”

And he threw her the water bottle, only for it to be caught by Verona, another one of the vampire brides. She immediately threw the bottle down the well.

“What now Winn?” asked Kara in exasperation.

“The church, they have holy water there, look,” said the inventor.

Kara turned around and started running towards the church when Marishka attacked her from above. The blonde alpha was thrown to the other side. Verona and Aleera instructed Marishka to kill Kara, they were going to kill Lena.

Kara quickly stood up and started running towards her weapon. She searched for Lena with her gaze and found her fighting with the other two brides. She knew she needed to hurry if she wanted to help the omega.

Once she took her crossbow, she started running again towards the church. Vampires were known for being very fast creatures, but the alpha was able to dip the arrows before Marishka arrived. When she turned around, she fired the weapon and hit the vampire with the stakes.

Marishka started screaming in agonizing pain, she was really dying this time, the holy water had worked.

When the bride died, the other two vampires felt it immediately and left in a hurry, to inform their master about the sad news.

The villagers were enraged, because Kara had killed a vampire.

“Isn’t that a good thing?” Asked Winn innocently.

“No” the grave digger responded, “vampires only kill what they need to survive, they only take one or two people monthly. Now, they’re going to kill for revenge,” said the furious man.

“Wait a minute, gentlemen” said the princess, “she’s known as Kara Van Helsing and this alpha right here is the first person to kill a vampire in a very long time. I say we at least owe her a drink”.

Kara and Winn followed Lena to her house.

“So! You DO know about me!” Said Kara teasingly, smirking down at Lena.

“I’ve heard about you” she said rolling her eyes. “I just didn’t know you’d’ be that dark knight everyone fears. People talk about you” she said, giving Kara a coquettish smile.

“Oh yeah?” Said Kara with so much confidence, trying to flirt back. “What do people say about me?”

“That you are a murderer” she stated pointedly. Kara’s smile faltered at this.

“Well, yes! I have heard that a lot” she sighted “Now you know who I am, think I might be able to help you?” Asked Kara, suddenly feeling the need to prove she was a very capable alpha.

“You’ve proven to be quite a catch, Van Helsing.” Said Lena winking, at this Kara changed her posture, letting Lena know she was proud to be called quite a catch by an exceptionally beautiful princess.

“You can call me just Kara, you know,” said the alpha.”

Lena was very attracted to Kara, and she could not deny it. From the moment she first laid eyes on the blonde, she felt a weird connection to her, and there was immediate interest. Kara was a beautiful alpha, her scent was irresistible, the muscles were toned and firm, her beautiful bright blue eyes were captivating. As deep as she would imagine the ocean to be.

Those were the first thoughts Lena had of Kara, and the more she stared at her, the more she found something new she liked about her.
And yet, Kara didn’t need to know that. Right now, she needed to focus on her mission.

Back at Luthor Mansion

“If I remember correctly, I offered you a drink, didn’t I?” The omega asked.

“I think you did” answered Kara, trying to expulse her flirty pheromones to Lena.
“What’s wrong with me?” She thought to herself. “I’ve never acted this way before. I need to keep it together, can’t let anything distract me from my assignment. She shook her head as if it would help her concentrate on the task.

“The Bar’s down the hall. Suit yourself” said Lena with a smirk, turning around and walking out of the room. She could smell Kara’s pheromones, and she liked it. There was something just so captivating about Kara.

Sometime later, Kara and Winn were at Lionel’s office, planning how to defeat the evil count. Meanwhile, Lena walked through the house, keeping guard. It was then that she heard a noise coming from one of the rooms, her father’s armory.

She opened the door slowly and carefully the Luthor princess grabbed a long weapon from the table nearby to protect herself in case it was necessary. She was following the noise until she came to a stop in front of an open window. The moon was big and full, its light shining through the windows to the entire room.

“Huh” she said as she closed the windows, “I thought the noise was coming from somewhere else”

She started walking back towards the door, when she suddenly felt a few drops of a weird and viscous substance hitting her from above. As she raised her head, she saw a very big brown furred werewolf, showing his massive teeth and growling at her.

Lena felt her heart stop and started to run terrorized, she was trying to find another way out. Suddenly, a big cloud was positioned before the moon itself, providing some darkness. Everything went quiet and she couldn’t see anything. As Lena turned around, she found Lex right in front of her.

“Lex! Oh, my God! You’re alive! I can’t believe it!” Said the excited omega, with unshared tears starting to form in her eyes.

“Lena, wait. I don’t have much time”. Said Lex hurriedly as he grabs Lena’s hands. “I need to tell you something important.” He said while looking at her sister worriedly, the distress pheromones were very evident. “You need to know Dracula’s secret. It’s the key to defeat him” said Lex in pain while fighting against the transformation process.

“He has got a - AAAAAAH! he suddenly started screaming in agony.

As the clouds drifted away by the wind, the moon shone brighter than before. Lex was trying hard to control himself, but he failed miserably.

The transformation had already begun. His skin started tearing apart from his body, while dark brown hair was coming out. All of the alpha’s bones broke and rearranged in order to adopt the new anatomy, his limbs grew bigger than before and he screamed in pain throughout the whole process, it was very tortuous. Once the transformation was completed, he lost consciousness again and immediately launched to attack Lena.

The omega princess started screaming horrified, trying to escape the vicious beast that once was her dear brother. Kara entered the room in a rush and immediately started to shoot the werewolf as soon as she saw it. The beast jumped through the window and made its escape, leaving the two women very perplexed about what they just witnessed.

“OMG, Lena! Are you ok? Did he hurt you?” asked a very worried Kara, as she started to scan Lena’s body in search of wounds. Her alpha telling her to protect her omega. “She’s not my omega” she thought.

“No, he didn’t hurt me. You came just in time. Barely” said Lena while her heart was thrumming heavily inside her chest.

“Good! Now, stay here. I need to go hunt this horrendous beast before it can hurt someone” said the decided alpha while adjusting her hat and giving Lena one last look.

“I’m going with you,” said Lena

“There’s no way I’m going to let you do that. It’s not safe for you” her alpha’s protectiveness started surfacing again.

“I don’t care, I’m still going,” said the stubborn omega.

“Look, I’m very sorry about this” said the blonde while looking at the confused expression in Lena’s face. She proceeded to throw a dart, and the princess was immediately unconscious. Kara felt the need to protect Lena, and this time, she was going to obey the alpha inside her.

The knight carried her body and laid her down at the nearest couch. She then took her guns and went to chase the werewolf.

The blonde was now at the village, everything was dark and foggy, the only light there was provided by the moon. She started listening carefully for any sound that could guide her to the beast.

The grave digger was working.

“Are you crazy? What are you doing here? There’s a werewolf on the loose and it could kill you!” Said a very frustrated Kara.

“Me?” Said the tall man laughing. “Don’t worry about me. I’m not a threat to the beast, I just clean after it”.

Kara was so fed up with this man, she was about to answer him when suddenly, there was a loud growl, and the werewolf started running towards Kara and the cemetery worker.

Kara was preparing herself to fire her gun when the beast grabbed the digger and tore him apart limb by limb.

“Not a threat, huh?” Said while rolling her eyes.

Kara was ready to fire, she had him in her sight, just where she wanted him to be. She was starting to pull the trigger when Lena came from behind her and pushed her arm out of the way, causing Kara to miss the shot.

“What are you doing?” Said a very annoyed Kara. She wouldn’t admit it out loud, but her heart started beating fast, she was scared Lena could get hurt. “That beast, he’s not your brother anymore, Lena! He doesn’t recognize you.” She shouted, the beast escaped, following the path to his new master.

Lena was shocked. Kara knew and still was going to pull the trigger. How could she? “You knew?” Asked incredulously.
Kara just nodded.

“Since when?” Lena was furious. “Was it before or after you were going to shoot him?” She glared at Kara demanding to know, her eyebrow raised to intimidate her.

“Before” Kara huffed, gazing down to the floor, unable to look at those beautiful green eyes, so full of hurt and sadness.

“Unbelievable! That’s why people say you are a murderer” said Lena with her hands in her hips, clearly very angry at Kara. “I need to go find him” she exhaled, “maybe there’s a cure or something we can do to lift the curse”.

Kara was hurt by that comment, of course she had heard it before, but she didn’t mind. When Lena told her that, however, she felt devastated. Was she just a murderer? Was that all she was to people? She sighed, “Look, Lena! I’m sorry about this, but there’s nothing we can do about it. I need to kill the beast, it’s dangerous and it could harm so many people” said Kara suddenly feeling very guilty.

“You don’t understand, Kara! He’s the only family I have left. Everyone I’ve ever loved has died fighting the evil that stalks this place”. Said the princess, her voice trembling. “Lex said there was a key to defeat Dracula, a secret. I need to discover what it is and do something about it. I cannot let all these sacrifices to be in vain”. She sniffed and removed her steaming tears from her face.

Kara looked at her and her heart clenched. How could this beautiful omega know so much pain? She wishes she could make it better for her, she wishes she could help and maybe, she can. She wishes she were something more than a murderer, at least to Lena.

“All right” said Kara after releasing a long breath. “We will go looking for him. But we need to be incredibly careful.”

Lena gave her the softest smile she had ever seen. “Thank you” Lena said. Both of their hearts started beating fast and they were sure their pheromones gave their feelings away. Lena just continued smiling at her.

Back at Dracula’s castle, Lex was transforming back to his human form.

“I see you’re back, and yet, you didn’t bring the intruder to me”. Said the evil count while looking out the window with his hands behind his back.

“I am not going to help you! I would rather die” hissed Lex in pain.

“How boring, do not say that! People tend to die when they wish for it!” He said sarcastically laughing. “And you are a very important part of my plan, there’s no need to die.” Said calmly, but with a crooked smile “Not yet at least”.

Lex started transforming again and after this time, he would become Dracula’s servant. He wasn´t Lena’s brother anymore.

Chapter 3

Frankenstein’s Castle

The machines were working at full capacity, it was an important night.

Dracula was just observing, taking everything in. He knew he needed this to be a success for his plan to work.

“Igor” he shouted.

“Yes, master?” Asked the deformed helper.

“How long will it take for everything to be ready?” Impatiently asked the count.

“Not too long, master. Everything should be ready very soon.” Replied the henchman. “It’s just a bit difficult without the good Dr, but everything’s going according to plan.”

“Good!” Said Dracula, showing a creepy smile, “very good!”

“You know” Lena said, lost in thought. “This is personal for me. All I want to do is bring honor and peace to my family. But why are you doing this, Kara? What do you get out of this?” She asked while looking at Kara.

The blonde was quiet for a moment, trying to think a conclusive answer. “Personal satisfaction?” She said, not sounding convinced at all. “Honestly, I’m not sure. This is all I know how to do, I guess. I don’t remember anything from my past. One day, I just woke up in Rome. The order found me almost dead and took care of me, they taught me how to fight. This is all I have known ever since.”

Lena was speechless, she couldn’t even imagine what that must be like, not being able to remember the people you loved. She felt a pang of sadness and guilt in her chest, she judged Kara without even knowing her story.

They continued walking in silence, side by side.

“I’m sorry for calling you a murderer, Kara.” Lena said after a moment.

The blonde genuinely smiled; she was surprised. No one had apologized to her before, especially not after calling her a murderer. It felt incredibly nice, especially coming from Lena.

There was something different about the princess, but she couldn’t say what exactly. The alpha just smiled at her as they walked the remaining path towards Frankenstein’s Castle, hoping to find any kind of clue that could help them locate Dracula’s hideout, and, hopefully, Lex as well.

“This was supposed to be abandoned since the previous owner was killed almost a year ago” said Lena while looking at the big front door with a frown.

“A year ago?” Kara asked intrigued. “That’s when your father disappeared as well, right?”

“That’s right” said the brunette “he went looking for Dracula and never came back.

Kara kept quiet for a moment, thinking about this information. “Come on, let’s find a way to get inside before someone catches us” she said.

Dracula ordered Lex to be released and brought back to the lab, it was time to proceed with the experiment.

“You know, Lex! I didn’t appreciate the little talk you had with your sister” said the count very seriously.

“Leave Lena out of this! She doesn’t know your secret and I’m going to take it to the grave very soon”.

“Ah, but you see! That’s where you’re wrong.” He said while grabbing Lex’s face with his hand, lifting him off the ground. “Tonight, you’ll be of use to me, and you have no choice but to obey.” He laughed evilly.

“Come see this” he said while pointing to a rotten corpse on the ground, “doesn’t it look familiar?” His wicked smile was disturbing.

Lex’s eyes grew, immediately recognizing the cross pendant that his father carried with him.

“I’ll kill you!” Lex said enraged.

The count just laughed. “He wasn’t useful in the end; his weak body couldn’t take it” said Dracula while looking at Lex. “I hope your body is stronger than his, you know, with the werewolf curse running through your veins and all”.

Igor and his little helpers restrained Lex and laid him on the table. This was it; this was the moment he and his brides had been waiting for so long.

“Pull him up” he said to his henchmen while dancing. The experiment was beginning and there was no turning back.

Lex was electrocuted and his body was trying to fight it, he fought as hard as he could, but the volts were too powerful for him.
Once inside the castle, they started to explore the big rooms and hallways and heard some of the servants talking among themselves at the distance.

Lena moved a little closer to them so she could hear better. She gasped, “they say they’re using Lex for an experiment! I must go help him! There’s still hope for my brother”. Said Lena, ready to rush after them.

Kara held the omega’s arm gently, but prevented Lena to chase after them. “Lena, wait.” She sighed, knowing that this was a sensitive topic, “I know you want to help your brother, but there’s no hope for him, there’s nothing neither of us can do about it” she said sadly, watching as the omega’s eyes started shinning with unshared tears, a mix from both sadness and anger. Kara knows how much Lena loved her brother, he was the only family member she had left, but they needed to stop the bigger threat, and she would need Lena’s knowledge and experience to fight Dracula. “We can still help other people by eradicating this evil force directly from the root”.

As they kept walking, they found a lot of sacks shaped like eggs, with viscous liquid dripping down from the weird looking thing.

“What is this?” Asked Lena with wide eyes, clearly perplexed.

“I think they’re the count’s descendants” said Kara seriously.

Lena thought the alpha was teasing, but when she turned around to face the blonde, she saw how serious Kara was.

“If vampires are living dead creatures, it would be only logical for their children to be born dead as well. I think he’s trying to bring them to life”. Lena said to Kara as they walked further into the room, it was filled with hundreds of eggs. The alpha was carefully examining the sacks as thousands of volts flowed through them. Both stepped back and waited for something to happen.

The knight then started to destroy one egg, she wanted to know what it was made of. “Huh, so this is what you get when vampires mate” she said with a grimace, “what an ugly creature.”

As another wave of electricity flowed through, thousands of the horrible monsters started to come alive, flying towards them, wanting to feed.

“We need to go.” Lena said as she grabbed Kara’s hand and started to run.

Dracula and his brides were thrilled the experiment had worked. Their children were alive.

“They need food, you must teach them how to eat” he said to his brides. “And pray to Satan that this time they will stay alive” he shouted. Aleera and Verona obeyed immediately, flying towards the village searching for fresh food.

Kara started shooting down the flying monsters and Dracula immediately shifted his attention to her.

“Now, I have your attention!” The blonde alpha said with a cocky smirk and her eyebrow raised.

Dracula transformed into his animalistic form as he launched himself into Kara’s direction.

Kara started running while trying to shoot down the flying beast without having any luck.

Back at the village

Before Winn and Kara parted from Rome, they were given a piece of a torn painting amongst other useful supplies and weapons they could need. The painting contained part of a phrase written in Latin and a symbol that looked oddly familiar to Winn, he just couldn’t remember why.

The beta had been busy researching everything he could about Dracula and werewolves’ curses since Kara and Lena had left the mansion.

As he continued to explore the gigantic library and its hidden treasures, he heard screams and loud noises coming from outside of the house.

From the window he could see what was going on, shocked, he saw hundreds of small, horrible creatures attacking the villagers while guided by the count’s brides.

As the terrors continued, Winn stepped outside. Most of the natives were severely injured or killed by the vampires, everyone was running and screaming, fear evident in their faces as they tried to escape from the flying monsters. He started aiding those he could with some medicinal supplies he had brought to the trip, but there were too many casualties.

Back at the castle

Kara was hiding from the Count, waiting for the perfect moment to attack.

“You know, I can tell someone’s character just from the sound of their heartbeats” said Dracula while slowly approaching Kara, clapping his hands. “Their hearts always start beating like a drum when they see me. They fear me!” He said, smiling. “Yours, however, is as steady as it can be. It’s weird that it’s so controlled. Do you not fear me?”

Kara tried to surprise the count and drove a stake through his heart as hard as she could.

Dracula started laughing and took the stake out. “Oh, it’s so good to see you, Van Helsing. Or should I say, Zor-El?” He smiled wickedly.

Kara was so confused, why had the count called her that name?

“It’s been so long since we last saw each other. What has it been, like 400 years?” Said the amused count.

Kara just stood there, watching the count’s movements. She didn’t know what he was talking about.

“Oh! So, you can’t remember after all.” Said the count with a scary smile.

“And what exactly should I remember?” Asked the intrigued alpha.

“You’re the great Van Helsing! Trained by the Catholic Church to kill monsters amongst humans. But even though you serve humanity, you are the most wanted woman in Europe. You are despised, as am I.”

“The order knows everything about you, it wouldn’t surprise me that you knew about me too” said Kara defensively.

“Oh, but I know so much more! You and I got so much history, Kara Zor-El! Have you ever wondered why you have such horrible nightmares? Those are all scenes from past battles!” He said, laughing.

“How do you know this?” Asked a very bewildered Kara.

“Do you want me to tell you the whole story?”

Kara took out a silver cross and showed it to Dracula. The Count touched it and it started to burn.

“Perhaps this is a conversation we must have another time” the count said as he threw the burning cross away.

The blonde alpha had never seen something like that before, she was starting to get worried.

Meanwhile, Lena made her way to the other room, trying to locate Lex. She saw Igor shouting orders to Dracula’s servants, they were losing power because Lex wasn’t sufficient for the experiment to work. Lena saw her brother chained to a table and was currently being electrocuted, she could hear him screaming in pain.

The brave omega started climbing a rope to get to her brother, she wasn’t going to abandon him. Some of the castle servants started to attack her, but she fought back bravely with her sword. She was a merciless warrior, learnt how to fight since she was just a child. She kept fighting until all the attackers were dead.

Once she finally reached her brother, she tried to unchain him. “No, you can’t, Lena” said Lex as he was shaking from the electricity, “you can’t set me free, it’s too dangerous” said as he was trying to stop Lena’s movements.

“Stop, Lex! I’m bringing you home with us! I’m not leaving you!” Said Lena while trying to free her brother.

“YOU CAN’T” said the werewolf as he growled at his sister and started to asphyxiate her. Lena couldn’t break free from her brother’s strong grip, she started kicking Lex, in order to break free.

Chapter 4

The village

Winn was trying to help the most people he could, but there were a lot of wounds waiting to be treated.

The villagers were running for their life’s, the little monsters were hunting the down, sucking their blood until they died or wounding them fatally.

Winn was helping a child that was being attacked by one of Dracula’s descendants, when suddenly, the beast exploded before them. The other monsters started exploding as well, their mothers couldn’t believe what was happening.

As they screamed and cried for the loss of their children, they made their way back to the castle.

Winn continued to help the wounded and once he finished, he returned to the mansion. Once again in the library, he was searching for a book that could explain the evil descendants, but he tripped over the carpet in front of the chimney. As he was falling, he grabbed a lamp that was near to stop the fall.

It started making a loud sound and it opened a secret door, Winn wasted no time and entered the new room. As soon as he entered, he saw a painting appearing from the wall. Winn couldn’t believe it, it was moving.

In the painting, two knights were fighting in front of a castle, but as they kept fighting, they started transforming. One hero transformed into a big blonde werewolf, while the other transformed into Dracula’s vampire form.

Winn couldn’t believe his eyes, maybe this was the answer they all had been looking for. He continued to inspect the painting carefully, when he saw the same symbol that was associated with Kara. He grabbed the painting and walked towards the library again, trying to find some more answers in the books.

The Castle
The brides arrived at the castle, crying loudly. The loud noises and screams from his brides distracted the count and Kara escaped. She started running, trying to find Lena so they could get out of there.

Lena was descending from the roof where her brother was, she was crying because that beast up there was not her beloved brother anymore. There was nothing she could do to save him.

Kara saw Lena and started running faster towards her. “Hey, we need to get out of here, NOW!” said the worried blonde as she took the princess’s hand and started running together towards the nearest tower.

Once the alpha and omega reached the highest part of the tower, Kara took out her harpoon gun and she shot, the harpoon cut across a tree trunk. Once the alpha made sure that it was sturdy enough and could support their weight, she grabbed Lena tightly and they began to swing towards the forest.

As they landed safely, Kara asked Lena if she was hurt, as she examined the omega’s body thoroughly, looking for wounds.

Lena could see the alpha was very worried about her, “I’m fine, Kara. Don’t worry about me.” Said while giving Kara a fake smile. The blonde noticed but didn’t pressure her to talk.

The castle
Dracula found his crying brides and tried to comfort them, while Igor and his servants were working nonstop.

“I’m sorry, master. We did everything we could, but the power was not enough. It appears the young Luthor is useless,” said Igor.

Dracula was getting angrier as Lex managed to escape and completely transformed into his werewolf form. He appeared in the same room as the others.

“He may not be so useless, after all,” said the evil count. “Find them and kill them both! GO” he shouted.

And so, Lex started his new mission.

Kara and Lena were walking through the forest, it was raining a lot since the storm was not over and it was very cold. The alpha took her coat and gave it to Lena, she happily accepted the coat, since she was freezing.

“It smells so much like her” she thought. She couldn’t help but smile at that, it felt incredible to be surrounded by the alpha’s pheromones. “So, what do we do now?” she asked the knight.

“We must find a way to defeat the devil’s son for good. I tried stabbing him with my silver stake, but it didn’t work.”

“WHAT? Seriously? Did you think we have not tried that before? We have tried EVERYTHING, Kara!” Said the omega while rolling her eyes, she couldn’t believe that the so-called expert thought it was that easy to defeat the count. “Don’t you get it? No one knows how to kill him”

“Well, I could have used that information earlier” Kara said. Lena just stared at her with her eyebrow raised and a face so serious that she made Kara shiver.

“I’m sorry, ok? I just did what I was trained to do” said the blonde as she scratched her neck in embarrassment.

Lena sighted, she was being too hard on the alpha. “I’m sorry. Don’t take this the wrong way, it’s just… there’s a lot going on right now. You were right, that beast is not my brother anymore.” Said the unhappy omega while the tears streamed down her face.

Kara grabbed her hand to show support and tried to comfort her with soothing pheromones.

“Do you have family, Kara?”

“I don’t think so, the order found me alone and they said there was no one to contact. No family or friends.” Said the sad alpha. “But may be someday I’ll have a family of my own” she said while looking at Lena with a small smile.

Lena couldn’t help but feel incredibly happy at the thought of her and Kara starting their own family. She obviously was very attracted to the handsome alpha, but it was so much more than that. She smiled as she took the alpha’s hand and started walking again.

“Look! There is a cave over there, we could rest for a little bit.” Said Kara while pulling Lena towards the entrance. Once inside of the cavern, Lena started a fire to keep them warm.

“It’s freezing in here” said the omega while shaking, trying to get closer to the fire to warm herself.

“Yes, thank you. How come you’re so warm? It’s so cold here” asked the princess.

“There’s something down here,” said Lena.

“Not something, someone. And it’s carnivorous” said Kara as she saw the Bible near the pond and some old bones. “I would say he’s more than 7 feet tall. He might weight 154 pounds; he limps and has 3 copper teeth” said as she was grabbing her gun.

“How could you possibly know he has 3 copper teeth?”

“Because he’s standing right behind you” said the alpha as she moved Lena to the side and started shooting the beast.

The weird creature grabbed Kara by the shirt and threw her to the pond.

“Oh my God!” Lena said as she saw the beast. “It’s Frankenstein’s monster.” She was horrified.

“MONSTER?!” Said the furious creature “who are you calling a monster? I’ve done nothing wrong and still people treat me like a beast” said as he got closer to Lena.

Kara got out of the water and ran towards them, “stay away from her “she shouted as she tried to attack the creature once again, but as soon as she touched him, she was electrified and was sent flying towards the pond again.

“What do you want?” said Lena.

“I just want to live” said the creature with sadness. They stared at each other’s eyes for a moment, but Kara threw a calming dart and hit him in the neck.

Lena ran towards Kara and pointed her gun at the creature as he couldn’t stand up anymore.

“No! Wait” said the alpha as she lowered the omegas gun.

“We have to kill him” said Lena exasperated.

“If you value your lives, you must kill me. The world as we know it would end if Dracula found me. I am the key he needs to bring his descendants to life” said.

“You heard him, we must kill him” said a very decided Lena while aiming her gun again.

“No, Lena. Wait” said Kara again. “He already did that yesterday” this time she was talking to the creature.

“Oh no! Those are just from one bride, and they will die as they did last time. There’s thousands more and I’m the only one that can give them the eternal life.” Said the monster as he fell asleep.

Lena tried shooting him again, but Kara stopped her.

“What’s wrong with you? You heard what he said, we must kill him.”

“My life, the work I do is to defeat evilness. I perceive it and this creature or man, whatever he is, might have been created with evilness, but he’s not evil. I can’t kill him”.

“But I can,” said the omega.

“Lena! Your family has spent 400 years trying to defeat Dracula without success. This creature right here could help us end this for good.” Just as she was finishing saying that Lex appeared and started attacking them. Kara started shooting but he got away.

“Oh my God, Kara!” Said Lena alarmed. “He saw us! And he saw the creature as well, he will tell the count. Now they will come for him and there’s nothing neither of us can do about it”.

“Maybe I could take him to the order’s headquarters in Rome. They can protect him there.” Said a very convinced Kara.

The Luthor Mansion

Winn was talking to Kara as she was getting the horses ready for the trip.

“And then, the painting started moving and they transformed into a werewolf and a vampire,” said the inventor.

“What does that mean?” Asked the alpha.

“I don’t know. It might be the clue we were looking for” said Winn as he thought about it.

“Okay, Winn!” Said the blonde. “But, while we figure it out, I need you to look after him” she said as she opened the carriage door, revealing the creature inside it.

“Is this a man?” Asked the terrified beta while entering the carriage.

“Actually, he’s like seven of them. Or their body parts” said the alpha, patting Winn on the back.

“You can’t do this; you’re dooming us all! If Dracula finds me, it’s the end for everyone”. Said the creature while trying to free himself from his chains, as Kara closed the door.

“The Transylvanian horses are the fastest, not even vampires can chase them,” said the Transylvanian princess.

“Great! I’m counting on it” she said while smiling and kissing Lena on the lips. “I must go then! Said as she got to the front of the carriage, where the driver was supposed to be.

“Please be careful” Lena was visibly worried.

“I promise” she winked at the omega and started driving away.

They were now deep into the forest, following the path they needed to return to Rome.

“LET. ME. GO!” Screamed the beast.

“Where are you even going to go?” Said the scared beta. “Have you seen yourself in the mirror? You attract too much attention.” The creature growled while trying to break free from the chains and reach Winn.

As Kara was driving through the Carpathians, she sensed something was chasing them. Everything was so dark and foggy, and she couldn’t see very well, but she knew they were being followed, she was sure of it.

She grabbed her crossbow as she wanted to be ready to fight. Suddenly, Verona and Aleera appeared behind them and started attacking Kara. Verona grabbed her by the shoulder and started flying. The brave alpha grabbed her wing and started pulling her down, so the vampire let go of her and Kara started falling, landing above the carriage’s roof.

The horses were still running fast and a couple of meters in front of them, a bridge was destroyed. The alpha tried to go back to the seating position to change the horses path. She was once again attacked by the vampire and fell on one of the horses. The beautiful animals were able to jump and get to the other side of the bridge, however, the carriage started burning and fell to the cliff.

“We can’t lose him” said Aleera to Verona. “Go rescue him so we can bring him to the master.”

Verona flew as fast as she could to the carriage, she needed to save Frankenstein’s creation. As she opened the door, a stake bomb exploded, hitting her numerous times and killing her.

Kara was riding the horses when she saw the other caravan and made her way there. Lena was driving the horses and inside were the creature and Winn. The blonde alpha jumped and landed beside the omega. “Hey, gorgeous” said the knight happily with a smirk while giving Lena a peck on the lips.

As soon as she turned her face to the front, she saw Lex was running towards them. He jumped and tried to grab Kara, but the pair managed to dodge the attack by jumping to the sides. Now, they were hanging from the carriage and Winn opened the door to let Lena in. Kara, however, fell and she almost got crushed by a wheel. “Winn! A little help, please”

“Unchain me and I’ll save her,” said the creature. Winn didn’t hesitate and freed the monster so he could help his best friend. The powerful creature grabbed Kara and threw her to the front of the carriage.

“I’m coming, Kara” said Lena while moving to the front.

As Kara took the reins, she heard a loud sound and turned around. Lex was now on the roof of the caravan, trying to attack her and Lena.

“Kara! What do we do?” Asked the worried omega.

“Everybody, jump!” Shouted Kara while shooting the werewolf.

They all jumped, but Kara was attacked by Lex as she was shooting him, and they fell to the ground.

“Is everyone all right?” Asked the princess.

“Yeah, we’re fine. Just a little sore” said Winn while rubbing his back. The creature nodded in confirmation.

“Good! Kara?” Asked the omega, however, she didn’t get a response.

“Kara?? Has anyone seen Kara?” She started asking with despair. She didn’t wait for an answer and started looking for the knight. As she was walking, she found Lex’s naked body lying on the floor, agonizing.

“LEX” she shouted while running towards him.

“Lena!” He coughed “I’m so sorry, for everything” the werewolf said as he gave his last breath.

The green-eyed princess cried and hugged him. “I’ll see you again someday, brother” she said as she kissed his forehead.

Kara was walking towards Lena, grabbing her ribs in pain.

“Kara? Are you ok? Oh my God! What happened?” Asked the worried omega while she was checking Kara’s body for wounds. She could see Kara was hurt on her left side and her hand was covered in blood. Lena grabbed the alpha’s hand and moved it. That’s when she saw it.

“Good Lord! Kara, he bit you” said Lena in shock as she watched the bite wound bleed heavily. Kara was in so much pain. “I’ll go get Winn, perhaps he has something that could help us stop the bleeding” she said as she ran to the others.

Aleera was lurking in the shadows, waiting the perfect opportunity to strike. That’s when she saw Lena running, she flew towards her and hit her hard. The omega fell and hit her head hard against a rock. That was definitely going to leave a bruise. The bride took Lena and started flying.

Kara saw Lena hanging unconscious from one of the vampire’s claws and started running to save her. She couldn’t run much further because there was a giant cliff she couldn’t get through. Aleera just started evilly laughing as she took the Transylvanian beauty back to the castle.

Winn and the creature found Kara near the precipice and the inventor started taking care of the wound, he gave medicines to help Kara’s injury. The creature was not aware of the type of wound it was.

After that, they travelled to the closest city, looking for more supplies they needed. As they were walking, Aleera appeared in front of them with a wicked smile.

“Where’s Lena? What did you do to her?” Asked an incredibly angry alpha.

“You’ve been nothing but trouble, Van Helsing. If I were you, I would be more careful since I’m the one who has the princess.”

“What do you want?” Said the alpha with disdain.

“The master would like to barter. You give us that hideous monster and we will give you your precious little omega.” She said, smiling.

“Deal! But it must be done in a public place with plenty of people around,” said the blonde.

“There will be a beautiful masquerade tomorrow night here in Budapest. It will be held at the little village castle. We will see each other then“. She said as she flew laughing.

Kara’s wound started burning, she grabbed her side.

“Are you ok?” asked a concerned Winn.

“I don’t think so.” She said honestly.

The friendly beta started checking her wound when the creature saw it.

“He bit you! Now you’re going to become what you hunted all these years.”

“I’m so sorry for this!” Said Kara while taking out one of her guns and shooting a tranquilizer dart at the monster.

“Winn, please help me carry him. We need to hide him where no one will be able to find him.”

The friends carried the heavy creature to the cemetery, where they hid him inside of one of the catacombs.

“You think he will be all right in there?” Said the beta.

“I guess so. I don’t think they will be able to find him here.” Answered the alpha.

Chapter Text

Chapter 5

As they started walking, Winn said: “according to the book I found at Luthor’s Mansion, you will not transform until the next full moon, which will be two nights from today. You can still fight Dracula until the last midnight bell.”

“It seems there’s nothing to worry about, then.” Said the alpha smiling. “We still have 48 hours to find a solution”.

“Ok, yes! You are right. We must find a solution.” Said the worried beta.

“Yes, but for now, let’s go put on our costumes for the ball.”

They changed clothes and started walking towards the castle, what they did not know was that Igor had been following them, so he knew where to find Frankenstein’s creature. He just had to take him to his master.

The masquerade

The music from the orchestra filled their ears while they walked through the gigantic ballroom. Hundreds of people attended the ball, all dressed very elegantly and with fine masks. There were jugglers, acrobats, buffoons, and many other types of entertainment.

Kara looked up and noticed that two trapeze artists were doing their routine. “Interesting” she thought. As she looked to the center of the room, she found Dracula was dancing with a beautiful woman in a green dress. Was that Lena? She thought furiously, her jealous pheromones giving her away.

“Kara! May be tone it down a little bit, people are watching us because of your pheromones” asked uncomfortably her best friend.

“Yeah, you are right. I am sorry, I’ll keep it together” promised the alpha.

The Count was still dancing with Lena, guiding her across the dance floor. His hands were placed in the omega’s hips, but he was starting to lower them to her buttocks. The fact that Lena wasn’t reacting to this made Kara think that she was being controlled by him. The blonde knight was furious, she needed to rescue Lena right away.

Dracula then removed both of their masks and started kissing Lena. Kara’s heart dropped; she was going to kill him. As the count continued kissing and caressing Lena, she seemed to come out of her trance, so she pushed Dracula, but he continued caressing her body.

“I’m not letting you trade me for that creature.” She said angrily.

“I do not intend to trade you. You are too beautiful for that”. Said the count smirking “besides, I know Van Helsing won’t trade the monster either.”

As they continued dancing, the devil’s son turned Lena around so that he could have access to her neck from behind.

“No, I will not trade you. You will become one of my brides” he said while touching Lena’s breast with an evil smile.

“I will not. I would rather die than be your bride” she said angrily.

“You are so beautiful and strong. You will be my perfect bride, and you will not be able to resist me” Dracula stated. “We will be together forever, my dear princess.”

Kara and Winn were observing the count and the princess from above. The alpha was boiling with rage and jealousy. The trapeze artist distracted her again and got an idea. “Winn, I need your help.”

As the blonde prepared herself to exchange places with one of the trapeze artists, Winn was once again in the dance floor, ready to do his part. The knight beat the circus artist and started swinging in the air. As soon as Winn saw the sign, he pushed one of the men that were spiting fire, causing him to set Dracula on fire.

The count let go of Lena instantly and Kara wasted no time rescuing her beloved. The couple swung to the second floor again.

“Lena! Are you ok?” asked Kara worriedly.

“Kara! It is so good to see you!” Said the omega princess as she kissed her alpha on the lips and hugged her.

“Kara Zor-El” shouted the count, angry at the blonde.

The alpha and omega pulled apart, Kara immediately put Lena behind her, trying to protect her.

“Master!” The doors opened. “I’ve got him” shouted Igor, interrupting the tense moment between the soon to be werewolf and the vampire.

“You fucking vampires! I swear I will get my vengeance” shouted Frankenstein’s creature while trying to free himself.

“Nooo!” said Kara worriedly. Lena grabbed her hand, trying to reassure her.

“Well, well, well!” Said Dracula. “Seems you are out of luck. Although I must thank you, since you were the one that guided us to him. You’re not as good as you were before, you can’t even tell when you’re being followed,” laughed the count. “Now that everything’s the way it’s supposed to be, let’s get this party started” he continued laughing, his laugh was strong and evil. The other attendants transformed into their vampire’s form, revealing their true selves.

“We have to get out of here, NOW!” Said Lena, grabbing Kara by her arm and running with Winn.

“That’s a lot of vampires” said the scared beta while they ran into a room. “But I think I’ve got something that might help us.”

Winn took out one small ball, filled with light. It was one of his latest inventions, he just didn’t have time to try it before.

“What is that?” asked Lena, while Kara secured the door.

“It is a bomb, it recreates the intensity of sunlight, so when it goes off, it’s like you were standing near the sun. Those beasts are going to break the door, so we can set it up and run.” Said the excited inventor.

“Run? Winn, there is nowhere to run.” said Lena while pacing, notoriously worried.

“Winn is right, this might be our only chance. We set the bomb and jump through the window over there.” Said the alpha with confidence.

As soon as the invention was placed in the middle of the room, the door broke, and the vampires started to enter the room. The trio jumped through the window and landed in the lake that surrounds the castle, while the bomb exploded and killed all the evil creatures. Once they resurfaced, Kara asked if everyone was all right. After getting the confirmation from her friends, they started swimming towards a little pier, where Frankenstein’s monster was being forced into a boat.

“Hurry! We must get to the master’s castle!” Yelled Igor. “Say goodbye to your friends.” He laughed as he grabbed the creature’s face, forcing him to watch the trio swimming towards him.

Even though they tried to swim as fast as they could, they could not reach the boat on time. The big gate closed and blocked their path.

“I WILL FIND YOU AND I WILL SET YOU FREE” shouted Kara to the creature as she grabbed the gate with anger. “I SWEAR TO GOD.”

“FUUUUCK!” She continued shouting, “this is all my fault. We should not have let him alone.”

“Kara, you did what you thought best, no one could have known that they were following us.” Said Winn, trying to reassure his friend.

“I should have known. That is part of my job. How could I be so careless?” Said the frustrated alpha. “We should have sent him to Rome on a boat.”

“That wouldn’t have changed the situation.”

“What do you mean, Winn?” Asked Lena

“I telegraphed Rome earlier, informing them of our current situation. They said that even if you manage to kill Dracula, you need to destroy the poor creature as well.”

“WHAT? Why?” Asked a very confused alpha. “He is not evil. My job is to fight evil but he’s simply not, they don’t even know him” Kara was starting to get very angry.

“I know, Kara. But they said he is not human. They want him gone so he could never be used to harm humankind.” Said Winn, clearly afflicted.

“And what about me?? Did you tell them about my new curse?” The alpha was so enraged that she started to transform into a werewolf. Her strength increased and her blue eyes shined, she growled.

“Kara, you need to stop. The curse is fueled by your wrath” said Lena while hugging Kara from behind, releasing calming pheromones.

“No, of course not, Kara. You’re my best friend,” said the inventor. “Besides, I like that creature too.”

“The curse effects, they have already begun” Kara shook her head. “I’m so sorry!”

“It is going to be fine, Kara. We will figure a way to remove the curse” said the hopeful princess, Winn just nodded in agreement. “I cannot believe it. I thought the order was supposed to protect those in need” said the omega, still hugging Kara.

“I thought so too,” said the disappointed blonde.

“We need to find Dracula’s equipment, that’s the only way we can save him.” Said Lena and Kara nodded.

As they returned to Frankenstein’s Castle, they found it empty.

“They must have taken the equipment to Dracula’s Castle” said Lena while looking at Kara and Winn with a perplexed look.

“We need to hurry, Dracula can only bring his descendants to life at sunset, which is in two hours,” said the worried beta.

“We have searched for it for more than 400 years and we still don’t know where it is” sighed the omega.

“FUUUUCK!” Kara screamed and threw a chair, smashing it against the wall. Her werewolf strength was showing.

“Kara! Take it easy, we still have a little time. Besides, I was not here the past 400 years”. Said Winn confidently, as they returned to Luthor Mansion.

As they returned, they made their way to the library, searching for any clue that could lead them to Dracula.

“Okay” said the alpha, “Winn, please tell us everything you know so far.”

“Right! Count Dracula is the son of princess Lena’s ancestor, Leopold Luthor, the oldest of the clan.”

“Yeah, I know that! What else?” said the omega.

“According to this papyrus I found, it all began when Dracula was killed.” Said Winn as he showed them the paper.

“Do you know who killed him?” Said Kara curiously while examining the rest of the room.

“No, there is just a vague reference of God’s left hand. But, in 1462, when the count died, he made a deal with the Devil. Dracula was given a new life, but he needs to drink human blood to maintain it. Said Winn while looking at his female companions. “Leopold went to Rome, to ask for forgiveness for having engendered such a vile creature. That is when the pact was made, he was supposed to kill Dracula. That was the only way in which the Luthor family would receive the eternal salvation and be capable of enter Heaven.”

“But Leopold couldn’t have done something so cruel as to kill his own son” said Lena while looking at Winn.

“That is right, he did not! Leopold vanished his son to a distant land surrounded by nothing more than ice, he sent him through a door without the chance of coming back.”

“So, Satan gave him his wings,” said the princess.

“Yes.”

“But where is that damned door?” Asked Kara, she was still pacing and examining the room.

“I don’t really know” said Winn, as he scratched his neck, “but, since Leopold didn’t kill the count, he left some clues, so his descendants would be able to do it” said the inventor cheering up.

“My father spent most of his days in this room, specially looking at that painting. He must have been searching for the door to Dracula’s lair” said Lena while trying to help Winn and Kara.

“That’s it!” Exclaimed Kara. “Your father was right. This is the door; he just did not know how to open it.” Kara looked at Lena with a hopeful smile. They were getting close.

“Look, it has an inscription. It is in Latin” said Winn while reading “It’s missing a piece” he pointed to the hole in the painting. Kara saw the hole Winn was talking about and remembered something.

“Winn, do you still have the parchment the cardinal gave us?”

“Yes, here it is” said as he gave Kara what she asked for. “Why?”

Kara completed the painting with the parchment and her best friend started reading the inscription aloud.

“In the name of God, let this door be opened,” said the blonde.

The trio remained watching in amazement as the painting transformed into a type of glass.

The brave knight walked to the door and put her hand slowly through the glass. “It’s so cold, it’s snowing” she smiled at Lena and shivered as she took her hand out covered in snow. “I guess I’ll see you at the other side.”

“Kara, wait!” She gave Kara a deep meaningful kiss, “please, be careful.”

Kara smiled brightly, caressing the omega’s cheek “I promise” she gave Lena a quick peck on the lips and walked through the glass door. Winn just smiled, he knew his best friend had a crush as soon as she saw Lena’s picture, but he didn’t know it had grown into something more meaningful.

The night was cold, even for Kara. It was snowing heavily, but she still could see what was in front of her. She could not believe her eyes. She helped her friends as they walked through the door and held Lena’s hand.

“Oh my God!” Said Lena in disbelief, “Dracula’s castle.” She was shocked, after hundreds of years, she was the Luthor who was able to find it.

Kara squeezed her hand to gain her attention, as Lena looked at her, she gave her a small smile in support.

The castle was enormous, very dark and covered in ice and snow. The macabre architecture was imposing and the empaled corpses made Lena shiver, she held Kara’s hand tighter. The alpha tried to provide comfort with her soothing pheromones and Lena felt a little bit better.

“Soo... Do we have a plan?” Winn questioned as they stood in front of the castle.

“Yep, we’ll go there and kill Dracula.” The alpha shrugged

“I mean, I wasn’t expecting an elaborate plan, but I expected at least something better.” Said Winn staring at Kara.

The alpha held her friends by her side “hold still and be calm.” She jumped and climbed through the massive door with her new werewolf strength, which was getting harder to control.

“Let us hurry. We don’t have much time.”

Chapter Text

Chapter 6

The castle was filled with a large line of fire pits, lighting the immense corridor.

“Are those?” Winn said as he pointed to the roof with nervousness.

“Yes, they are some kind of eggs, filled with Dracula’s descendants. There are thousands of those.” Said Kara as she walked, still holding Lena’s hand. “Keep close, Winn.”

Igor came out of the door and immediately noticed them. “How did you get in? That’s impossible” he started running, but Kara was faster and caught him before his escape. The alpha threw him against a wall with force, causing Igor to shout in pain as he hit the ground. She picked him up from his clothes and held a dagger to his neck.

“Please, don’t kill me.”

“Tell me one good reason not to,” said the angry alpha. He was the one who took the creature, she wanted him dead.

A loud scream was heard, Lena and Winn followed the noise and saw the creature being lifted to the machines on the roof.

“Kara, it’s the creature” said the omega worriedly.

The alpha growled and pressed the dagger closer to Igor’s neck. He could see the fury in her eyes.

“Van Helsing! Whatever we are going to do, we need to hurry. He is going up fast.” Said Winn as the creature screamed.

The alpha stabbed Igor’s clothes with the dagger, so he wouldn’t move. She ran towards her friends and saw the creature. Immediately she tried to break the iron bars, but she could only bend them a little. When the creature saw her, he started speaking.

“There’s an antidote”

“What?” Asked the confused blonde.

“Dracula has an antidote, one that has the power to cure the werewolf curse. Find it, you must.”

“What are you talking about? We are not leaving you behind.” Kara was trying to bend the bars a little more so she could reach Frankenstein’s creation.

“This is the only chance to save you, Van Helsing” said the creature as he was being lifted, out of their reach.

“Damn it!” Kara hit the bars with anger.

Lena grabbed her shoulder, “come on, you heard him. We must get moving.”

“Wait, why would the count have an antidote?” Asked Winn, concern evident in his face.

“That is a good question, actually!” answered Kara.

“I do not know, and I do not care. We need it to save you, that is all that matters.” Said a very exasperated Lena.

“Well, I do care” Kara went to Igor and started questioning him. “Why does he need the antidote? ANSWER ME!” She said as she took the daggers out of the wall, grabbing the helper’s coat and lifting him from the ground. Igor remained quiet, trying to escape the alphas strong grab.

Winn gasped, making his friends turn around to look at him.

“Maybe it’s because he can only be defeated by a werewolf!” Exclaimed Winn.
“Remember the painting I talked to you about? That is the key we need!” He smiled.

“But it doesn’t make sense, he has been using werewolves for centuries to make them obey him!” The omega replied to Winn.

“Yes, but if one of them dared to disobey, he could end the curse and avoid the bite. It is a contingency plan.” The inventor said enthusiastically.

Kara grabbed Igor’s neck. “Take them to the antidote or I won’t hesitate to kill you.”

Winn grabbed the alpha’s arm to try to calm her down. “I have a plan. When the bells announce midnight, you will be able to defeat Dracula, but we need to find the antidote before the last bell.”

“Are you crazy?” Asked the princess “what kind of plan is that?” She crossed her arms with worry evident in her face.

Kara took out a tool to cut fingers and gave it to Lena. “If you think he’s betraying us, use it” she said as she did a little demonstration on how to use it while looking at the servant.

“The antidote is in the tower over there,” said Igor.

“What about the other tower?” Kara asked.

“That’s where we built the lab” the alpha looked at Igor with distrust. “You think I would lie to you?” asked the helper. “Not if you want to live” replied Kara. He pushed him towards Lena and Winn. “Ok, listen! If I am not cured by the last bell, you need to kill me” the blonde said as she took out a silver blade and gave it to Winn.

“What?” Asked Lena

“Kara! Are you crazy? I will not do that” said Winn in disbelieve.

“Winn, you must.” She gave them both a serious glance.

The inventor took the blade and nodded but remained quiet. Lena just shook her head, “Kara, you cannot possibly be serious. This is insane!” Said the very afflicted omega.

“We do not have a choice, Lena. It is not up to debate!” Lena hugged Kara as tightly as she could, hiding her face in the alpha’s neck. Kara gently kissed her forehead, caressing her back.

“Be careful, princess!” The blonde lifted the omega’s chin gently and looked into those beautiful green eyes. Lena closed the distance and kissed Kara passionately.

“Go” said Kara as she broke the kiss, “I know you won’t be late!” She said while giving Lena her most confident smile.

“Kara, please don’t get killed!” Lena said as she and Winn grabbed Igor and walked towards the tower.

Kara ran to the other tower.

Dracula was in the lab, supervising that everything was according to plan. His servants were electrocuting Frankenstein’s creature while he strapped to a cold metal bed, loud screams of pain could be heard all over the lab.

“Why are you screaming, weak little creature? This is why you were made, to proof that not only God can create life!” The count started laughing. “You must give your life, so my descendants can live! Start the process!” He shouted.

The bed began to ascend, and the creature tried to free himself, but the straps were too tight. He was lifted through a hole in the roof and got drenched immediately, an electric storm had begun, and a lot of lightning was falling near the castle.

Kara was running as fast as she could, she needed to get to the tower quickly, so she started climbing a large chain in hopes it would be faster.

Lena and Winn were walking behind Igor, always watching him closely.

After two minutes, they arrived at their destination.

“There it is” said Igor while pointing to the antidote in the middle of the room, it was inside a crystal ball with a strange liquid. He tried to take another step, but Lena stopped him. “I’ll go first.” She said coldly.

As she walked to the crystal ball, Winn watched her as she got near the antidote, he was distracted with the thought of saving his best friend, so he did not realize Igor was setting them up. The servant got behind the beta and pushed him inside the room, closing quickly the gates.

“You can stay all you want. The master always enjoys the company of beautiful ladies!” He laughed at Lena and walked away.

“Lena, I am so sorry! I lost focus for a minute and now we’re trapped.”

“It’s ok, Winn! We will figure a way out. We need to save Kara!”

Both stared at the crystal ball containing the antidote, not knowing how to proceed.

“Take it, Winn!”

“What? No way, we do not know if that weird viscous material is safe!”

They both got scared as Aleera appeared behind them, screaming.

“Oh no! Did I scare you?” The vampire laughed.

“No, not at all!” Answered Winn, his voice trembling, while Lena took out her sword.

“Really? Maybe I need to try something else then” she laughed again.

The raven-haired took the opportunity and threw the crystal ball to the grown, breaking it and smearing the vampire with the weird martial, burning her face. The antidote rolled on the floor.

“Winn, quick! Take it” said the princess while she grabbed a piece of crystal with the acid and sprayed it on the iron gate to create an exit. “Hurry, we need to get out of here, NOW!”

Winn got through the hole in the door, but as Lena was leaving, the count’s bride grabbed her by the shoulder and threw her back inside with great force. “You’re not going anywhere!” She said angrily.

The beta stopped and tried to help the omega, but she refused. “Do not stop, Winn! You need to give the antidote to Kara!” She shouted, the inventor gave her a nod and continued running.

“You’re not getting out of here alive”! Said the vampire as she grabbed Lena and lifted her from the floor, only to throw her back again. The princess got up and ran to take a lighted torch, pointing it at her adversary. Aleera just laughed at her and extinguished all the torches in the room, leaving it so dark that the omega could only see her surroundings when lightning struck.

Winn was running on the bridge to get to the other side of the castle, he got drenched as the storm got worse. Lightning struck the bridge, creating a hole so big that the beta couldn’t get to the other side. As he looked back, he saw Igor was behind him with a prod, ready to hit him. Winn was able to block the attack, and they started fighting. He was usually very calm and collected, he did not like to fight and always occupied his time inventing weapons or researching. This time was different, he needed to fight not only for his life, but for his friend’s life as well.

Once in the lab, Kara started climbing the walls with her new abilities to get to her friend. She was spotted by several of Dracula’s servants and was being attacked, she fought them all bravely and continued climbing.

The creature was lying on the bed, shivering. Just waiting for this to be over with. He heard something and turned his head only to find Kara walking towards him.

“What are you doing? You need to find the antidote!” He screamed.

“My friends are doing that while I rescue you!” She responded as she tried to free him. “This might hurt a little.”

“I’m accustomed to pain.” Answered the creature.

Kara was releasing the second strap when lightning struck the creature. The impact was so strong that the alpha flew a few meters away from her friend.

The creature was screaming in pain, electricity flowing through him as he fueled the machines, transporting the energy to Dracula’s descendants.

“Finally!” The count shouted, “my children WILL live!” He looked up with a wicked smile, the creature was screaming and trembling from the pain, unable to move. He then saw Kara trying to release Frankenstein’s creation, trying to break the machine above.

He was furious now, no one could sabotage his plans. He started to transform, revealing his true form since he made the pact with the devil. His size was impressive, 10 ft tall with grayish and hard skin. Horns grew in his head alongside his claws and fangs, his wings were also big. It was a horrendous creature, truly intimidating and scary, he was the first original vampire, after all.

He flew towards Kara, screaming as he pushed her down to the lab. The alpha growled as she landed on the floor, exploding some machines from the strong impact.

The creature was able to free himself since all he had attached left was his left foot. He looked for the best way to get down and saw a loose cable. Testing the cable’s capacity to hold his weight, once he decided it was good enough, he swung towards the bridge were Winn and Igor were still fighting, deciding to help his new friend Winn. The creature kicked Igor off the bridge while he was swinging and landed right next to the inventor.

“Come on, we must hurry! Dracula has transformed and attacked Kara!” He said to the beta, as he tried to find a way to cross the broken bridge.

“Lena is trapped in that tower” he said as he pointed his finger, “Aleera is with her and she’s not safe.” Winn said to the creature.

He followed the beta’s finger and saw the room about which he was talking. “Go, do not worry about Lena, I’ll go save her. Give Kara the antidote, hurry!” Said the creature as he grabbed another cable to swing towards the tower.

Lena and Aleera were still fighting, the omega waited for the lightning to strike so she could see Aleera and attack.

The vampire could see the Luthor princess fine, even if it was dark. She got beside her quietly and punched her hard, throwing her a few meters away from her.

Lena coughed in pain from hitting the floor, her lip was busted, and she was bleeding. Aleera grabbed her by the neck and lifted her, applying more force to her neck.

“You know, Lena. I will miss fighting you, I am going to cry on your tomb.” She laughed as she squeezed the omega’s neck. Lena could not breath.
As the Luthor started to lose consciousness, Frankenstein’s creature came through the window, kicking the vampire his force. As Lena fell, she tried to take deep breaths so she could run as soon as her body was ready.

Kara hissed in pain and got up, grabbing her left side. She stumbled trying to walk through the lab, searching for Dracula.

“You are too late, Zor-El! My children are alive!” Said the count calmly, his hands behind his back.

“Well, then! I’ll just have to kill you, and they’ll die as well.” Said the blonde, smiling through her pain.

It was already midnight, and the moon shone so bright that it was able to penetrate the heavy clouds with its light. It was a full moon again and it was finally time for Kara to transform. The transformation was incredibly painful, as she started changing, Dracula was staring at her, not believing his eyes.

“This can’t be!” The count said while changing his form as well.

Kara was a little bit bigger than Dracula’s true form; her fur was blonde and her fangs big and sharp. Her claws could cut through metal and stone if needed, all her senses heightened. Once fully transformed, she growled furiously and scratched the vampire’s face. They started fighting, biting, and clawing as much as they could, trying to find a weak spot in their opponent.

Dracula grabbed the werewolf and threw her to different surfaces, creating some explosions and hurting the alpha. He tried to fly, but the blonde wolf jumped and hit his leg, bringing him down. They kept fighting wildly, inflicting a lot of damage and pain.
