A Tapestry of Worlds Collide [under reconstruction]

Summary:

In a time where quirks remain the dominate population, gifts from the gods are sent to the few and far apart quirkless called Visions. Visions are often seen as a cheat code to quirks and vision users are commonly frowned upon and cast out. An academy was created on a man-made island off the cost of the island country Teyvat. Teyvat is home to most vision user and welcomes them to their academy with open arms, allowing for their students to grow and learn in an accepting environment for them to become the best hero they can be.

/ / or Teyvat Academy principal, Dainsleif, accepts a 3 month exchange program proposal from the head of U.A., Principal Nedzu, inviting over their second-year hero course students to learn from the knowledge and resources T.A. provides.

2-A students fear for the sake of the T.A. students after hearing that the school abuses their students. They're eager to go to the island to help "save" the young heroes. Or so they think.

Exuvia - Retired #1 Zhongli; Exuvia is the name of the fake Rex Lapis corpse from the Liyue Archon Quest
The Shogun - Current #1 Raiden EI; I think its a little self explanatory but if you haven't done the Archon Quests yet, the Raiden Shogun is the name of the puppet that Raiden EI fronts as during the Inazuma Archon Quest
Mahuika - Current #2 Mavuika; the Pyro Archon, Mavukia, get her name from the Maori fire deity, Mahuika so I though It'd be fitting to use
Tsaritsa - Current #3 Cryo Archon; she'll only ever be referred to as the Tsaritsa because of the lack of Snezhnayan media
Kusanali - Current #4 Nahida; Lesser Lord Kusanali is the name used by citizens of Sumeru during the Sumeru Archon Quests
Windborne - Current #5 Venti; Venti's event wish banner is called the Windborne Bard so I wanted to use it :3
Furcalor - Retired #6 Focalors; Furcalor another name used while referring to Focalor, the name of the demon Focalors got her name from.

Chapter Text

“I assume you all know why I’ve asked for your attendance at this meeting.” The principal of Teyvat Academy spoke to the staff council seated in front of him. “This matter is very important for the social ties we need to create with our neighboring countries.”

“I don’t believe we need alliances with a country like Japan,” The Shogun said, spinning the wine in the glass she held firmly in her hand. “They are far too prejudiced for my liking. I can’t say I’m fond of the idea of putting our students in such an environment for 3 months.”

“I understand your concern, Ei, but this is not just for the sake of an alliance.” Principal Dainsleif said, standing up. “This would also be a test for our students. Good heroes cannot be created without facing emotional struggle as well.” Ei cast the principal a glance, furrowing her brows.

“I hate to admit it, but I have to agree with our stone-faced number 1.” Teyvat’s number 5 hero, Windborne, says taking a long sip from his wine glass. “I don’t want my blossoming little students to have to feel the brunt of such prejudice from the U.A. terror children.”

“I disagree. I believe this would be a good experience for our students. As much as I’d like to protect our children from the visionist belief of the U.A. staff and students, it will benefit their emotional strength.” The retired number 1 hero, Exuvia announced to the council. “I agree with Zhongli.” Focalors said, sipping her glass of wine. “I believe this would be a good experience for our staff and students.” She nodded slowly.

Dainsleif sat back down, placing his hand together, shifting his gaze to Kusanali. “Well, Nahida, you’re the tie breaker.” He said, watching the young president. “As much as this decision pains me to make, I believe the idea of giving our students the opportunity to interact and feel the effects of visionist prejudice would be a good training exercise.” The small pro says, adjusting herself in her seat.

Ei shot a glare at the smaller pro before turning away. “Whatever, but don’t ask any of my course students for assistance during this exchange program.” Venti nodded in silent agreement.

Principal Dainsleif smiled, “Then I’ll send out the email. Thank you for your attendance, you’re all dismissed.” He stood up, leaving the council hall with a slight wave. Vice principal Ningguang followed suit, files clasped tightly in her chest. “Dainsleif, sir, are you sure about this?” She said in a hushed tone, waving to the group of students passing by. “How would they even get here? We’re a 6 hour boat ride from mainland Japan and planes don’t fly to Teyvat. And Ei and Venti aren’t eager for them to be here so have the U.A. students attending their classes might be a struggle..” The principal smiled in response to the questions. “Don’t be so nervous, Ningguang. I’ll take care of all the travel arrangements.”

“As you say.”

Principal Nedzu,

I’d like to formally agree to your proposal of an exchange program between our schools.

Teyvat Academy would like to invite your 2nd year hero course class to a 3 month exchange program hosted by our school. We would like to extend our knowledge and resources to help educate your classes on our culture. Our vision holders will not only spread knowledge of their cultures, but learn from yours.

We understand the world does not have a positive view on Teyvat, much less, Teyvat Academy and hope that this exchange will open more opportunities for our future heroes to learn from your students. We at Teyvat Academy hope this exchange will allow Teyvat to start to establish meaningful connections with other countries to prepare our future heroes.

Chapter 2: So It Begins

Summary:

The esteemed UA agrees to the proposal and sets their second year students on their way to prepare for the trip to the island. Meanwhile, Teyvat Academy's own Staff Council discusses the introductory requisites.

Chapter Text

“Is that really what they said in the email?” Present Mic questioned, taking a sip of the coffee in his mug. “I mean wouldn’t it be a little dangerous putting our kids in school like T.A., especially since the academy is on an island? Not to mention we know nearly nothing about the damn place.”

Principal Nedzu nodded, “I understand your concern but there will be chaperones, of course. I couldn’t trust that class by themselves on the T.A. island.” The principal said with his signature smile. “Which is actually why I requested everyone here to attend this meeting. I want to know which of my staff will volunteer themselves as a chaperone for the exchange program.”

Aizawa blinked drearily, “I’ll go. It’s my class anyway.”

“I’d hope so!” Nedzu smiled then turned back to the rest of the faculty. “And who else would like to volunteer to go?”

“I’ll go.” Ectoplasm said flatly.

“Likewise.” Snipe said. Present Mic nodded in agreement.

“And Me!” All Might hollered, causing Aizawa to shrink into his seat with a grimace.

The rodent principal flashed the faculty a toothy grin, “Very well, I do assume you’ll be telling your classes so I won’t have to!” The snow colored specimen squeaked, hobbling off his seat and into the hall. “I will send a reply to Mr. Dainsleif as soon as I can.”

Principal Dainsleif,

U.A. staff are thrilled you’ve chosen to agree to this wonderful learning opportunity for both parties. We will contact you further about transportation, which I’d assume to be supplied by your wonderful academy.

We’ll be sending a total of forty students your away as well their two supervising teachers and four chaperones. We are well aware of how large and expansive your campus is and we hope you’ll be able to ensure the safety of our students. Our departure to wherever your transportation will be set will take place in 48 hours.

We look forward to creating relationships and bonds with your institute.

“Teyvat Academy? Isn’t that place super dangerous!!” Mina Ashido chirped, flailing her arms around in the air.

“Those are just rumors, Ashido. Teyvat Academy is an elite institution that stays hidden in the shadows most of the time. We are the first outside school that T.A. has allowed classes to attend an exchange program.” Aizawa stated, blinking drearily. “You all have 2 days to pack and get ready for the trip. We leave in 46 hours and our transportation is by boat.”

“Boat? That’s cool!” Denki said. “Who’s the captain!?”

“Her name is Beidou, she's the captain of a pirate ship originating from a port in Liyue, Teyvat. She’s an affiliate of the academy and married to the vice-president.”

“That’s so manly!!” Kirishima boasted, flashing a bright smile.

Aizawa closed his binder and stepped towards the door, “The time is yours, do what you want.”

“Wow, are we really the first outside school to go to T.A.?” Midoriya said, pulling out his notebook and opening it to the short page on the elusive academy. “I barely have any notes about it!” he announced.

“It doesn't matter anyway, they're all probably weak!!” Bakugo said, kicking his feet onto his desk and letting his head fall backwards. “They’re all a bunch of cheats, they can’t be strong. ”

“This is utterly ridiculous, why should our academy host a bunch of idiot children!” Ei scoffs, slamming her fist on the council table. “I won’t be addressing the likes of them, and neither will my dorm.”

Venti set his bottle down on the table, “I agree with Ei. I can’t say I’m fond of letting bratty kids into our island. However, I will allow the anemo staff to hold classes with the transfers but we won’t be hosting anyone in our dorms.”

The principal smiled brightly, “Of course. You’re not required to host the visiting students in any matter. All we request is that you allow your course teachers to take part in the exchange if they so wish.” Dainsleif settled into his chair, setting a thick folder of papers tumbling out onto the table.

“What are these?” Mavuika said, picking up a sheet of paper and skimming over the words. “Introductory papers? I hope to Celestia themselves you’re not making us read a speech to those entitled brats.” The current number 2 said, her brows furrowing as a glare appeared on her face.

“Of course you will. How rude would it be if the esteemed Staff Council of Teyvat Academy didn’t greet their visitors.” Ningguang said, entering the room with a stack of thin files.

The pale woman handed each hero a file, and instructed them to open it. “These files contain all available information we have on the UA students and the supervising staff. Read up, it’ll come in handy in classes as teachers of all year levels will be hosting their classes, including yourselves.”

“Vice Principal Ningguang, with all the respect I have to offer, I said I will not be hosting those children.” Ei said, jolting up from her seat and slamming her palms into the table. Tiny, violent sparks of lightning radiated off of her hair as she glared at the blonde teacher. “I don’t care if the teachers under me wish to host them but I will not be taking those brats into my classes.”

“That’s an order, Ei.” Principal Dainsleif said, walking behind the tall woman and placing a gentle hand on her shoulder. “Please sit down.” He flashed a bright smile before walking to stand in front of his vice president.

“Let the games begin.”

Chapter Text

Hi, first off I want to apologize for leaving with out notice. i got busy with school and career prep. on another note, ATOWC is under full reconstruction. Chapter 1 is almost finished, i've drafted 2 and 3, and 4 is complete. when my everything is all updated, consistent updates are biweekly. unless its delayed or what not.

Chapter 1 will be author notes, info about how Teyvat functions as a country in our world, where exactly T.A. Island is in comparison to Teyvat, where Teyvat is in comparison to Japan, and some neat little floorplans i cooked up for the school, training gyms, and the dorms.
Chapter 2 will be where reconstruction officially starts, a rewrite of everything available here.
Chapter 3 will follow suit and Chapter 4 is new content written this last month.

Thank you for all the kudos and hits, i genuinely don't know what to say.

Reconstruction should be finished by Thanksgiving (27/11/25) at the latest.
