A seagull soars high above the clouds through the air before diving towards the water drifting over it as it makes it way to the city of Duckburg. Swooping down searching for a boat to call its perch. The seagull lands on the first boat it seas before a fisherman shoos it away. The seagull tries again two more times getting the same result like an insane person before finally landing on a houseboat, adjusting it self getting comfortable for a quiet and calm nap. The seagull closed its eyes, humming to itself in content, ready sleep before.
BANG!
Startled out of its mind from the sudden sound, the seagull squawks and flies away as more racket and yelling can be heard from inside. "Come on! Hold still, Uncle Donald!" a boy in a green hoodies yelled. The one trying to get his uncle into a suit shirt and jacket is named Louie while the older duck he is holding onto from the back is named Donald. "Get off of me!" Donald yelled as Louie pulled off Donald's blue sailor uniform from him, causing Donald to fall flat on his back in pain and Louie landing gracefully on his feet beside a young duck in a red cap and shirt standing on a tall wooden stool in front of a flaming stove. "Good morning, Uncle Donald." The young duck in red with mint-green oven mitts on said, this one is named Huey.
"You can't wear this to your job interview." Louie said as Donald pulled a towel from on the kitchen counter around his waist. Louie throws the uniform into the washing machine with a grin. Donald yelped, "My uniform!" scrambling to his feet pulling at the sleeve that had been hanging outside the machine. "You've gotta dress for the job you want, not the job you have, which is no job." Louie said as he presented the the dress suit and shirt with a coy smile. The sleeve slipped from Donald's hands landing on the stove, causing it to catch on fire. Donald grabs the sleeve putting it inside the sink, extinguishing the flames with water. Louie watching with a grin like the little shit he is.
"Huey, don't touch the stove. You'll get hurt." Donald told Huey before he was mercilessly slapped across the face by the wet sleeve. "But it's a big day, and a big day calls for a big breakfast." Huey exclaims as he puts the fried fish and egg on a plate showing his uncle a rather unpleasant looking meal. The plate is rimmed with ketchup spelling out 'We believe in you Uncle Donald!' in all caps, the fish deflating like a whoopie cushion making the breakfast look even more disgusting somehow. Donald groaned in disgust at the sight, which I am sure the rest of us did as well, still pulling on the shirt sleeve. "I'll get the iron." Huey said throwing the pan, the plate-thank goodness, and the oven mitts to the side as he grabbed the suit from Louie running behind Donald and pulling out the ironing board. The board landed directly on top of Donald's head, causing him to fall to the ground and yell in anger. Huey steps back beside Louie still holding the suit.
"Stop helping me. And put on the life vests. What if the boat goes down while the babysitter's here?" Donald said. "Yes, Uncle Donald." Both Huey and Louie said in disappointment, Huey grabbed two bright orange life vests giving one to Louie as they both put them on. The two of them looking like two beach balls with hands and feet.
"Where is that babysitter?" Donald grumbled as he stood up, the ironing board still on his head, unplugging his phone and dialing the number. "Where are you!?" Donald yelled into the phone as it was answered, there was a small beat of silence as Donald's face contorted into a baffled expression. "What?! I didn't give you a new address." Huey and Louie look knowingly at each other smirking. "Well, what time can you get here?" Donald asked.
The scene changing to an old woman out in the middle of nowhere standing in front of a wooden shack. "I-I don't know." The old woman said on the side of the road.
"Crazy old bird." Donald muttered to himself hanging up. "Where can I find another babysitter at ten o'clock?" Donald asked himself looking at the time. "Ten o'clock!?" Donald and the boys exclaimed realizing what time it was. "You gotta go!" Louie said as he put the ironing board back up, as Huey threw the suit on Donald. Both boys pushing Donald out the door and off the boat in a rush. "Boys, I can't just leave you." Donald said. "We can survive a couple of hours." Louie said waving him off. "A couple of hours? Uh... Well, okay, but just keep those life vests on." Donald said walking away. Huey and Louie gave each other a thumbs up with a smile, their plan worked. The houseboat jumps to life as the engine is heard loudly by everyone outside on the dock.
Donald turned around, walking back to Huey and Louie with an angry look on his face. "Where's Dewey?" he asked.
"Sleeping."
"Who's Dewey?"
Louie slowly turned his head to his brother with wide eyes. Donald walked between the two as the side-stepped away as they watched Donald go inside the houseboat. "Who's Dewey?!" Louie aske Huey in disbelief.
Donald walked inside the cockpit finding a young duck with a dark blue short sleeve shirt and light blue long sleeves hands deep in the control panel below the stirring wheel. This duck in blue is Dewey. "All right, boys. We'll get to Cape Suzette and back before anyone realizes we're gone." Dewey says pulling and connecting a green and red wire. "So long, Dorkburg. Hello... Uncle Donald. What... What's up?" Dewey asked nervously waving. Donald looked at Dewey angerly. Mission failed.
"I can't leave you boys alone for one minute." Donald said throwing the boys in the car and closing the door as they tumbled over each other. "You were supposed to get him out by ten o'clock, Hubert." Dewey says sitting up and pointing at Huey in anger. "You were supposed to signal before you started the boat, Dewford." Huey said crossing his arms as he turned to Dewey equally as angry. "We never get to do anything." Louie said in frustration sitting in between the two, shoving his hands in his pockets. Donald sits in drivers seat putting his seatbelt on before turning around speaking to the triplets, "Boys, if we want to keep our home afloat..." Donald sighs, "We've got to do things we don't want to do." Donald said setting the location on the GPS at the front of the car. "Destination: McDuck Manor." The GPS stated.
"McDuck Manor? As in Scrooge McDuck?" Huey asked standing up from his seat, holding onto the back of his Uncles seat. "The bajillionare?" Dewey asked shocked standing up as well, hanging his arms off the front of the seat. "You're finally gonna sell us." Louie said leaning up against the middle seat. "I'm not gonna sell..." Donald sighs stopping himself, "He owes me." the triplets start bouncing around in their seats in excitement.
"We're gonna meet Scrooge McDuck?"
"That guy's amazing."
"What?"
Each of the triplets said in excitement, as they started to geek out over Scrooge McDuck. "I heard he's so epic, he defeated a Rock Giant and carved a statue of himself out of it's leg!" Dewey said.
"I heard he's so smart, he solved the mystery of the Chupacabra. Turns out it was just a shaved bear!" Huey said.
"I heard that he's so rich, he only hunts for treasure to swim in it!" Louie said, turning up the volume of the radio. Slapping Louie's hand away Donald reminds the boys it is only a couple of hours. "A couple of hours with the most exciting duck in the world!" Dewey exclaimed reaching out his arms smiling wide.

Arriving at the gates of McDuck Manor, Donald rolled down his window leaning out of it to speak into the intercom. "Mrs. B. Open up. I need to get out of here before-" Suddenly interrupted by the honking of a black limonene from behind him, "He shows up." Donald finished with a tired look on his face. "Oi! Jettison that jalopy from my driveway this instant, you dead beat!" An older duck yells out at Donald getting out of the limo. This duck in an old red-orange jacket rimmed with black, wearing spats and a top hat with specks is Scrooge McDuck. Donald sighed getting out of the car walking towards Scrooge. The boys turn around looking outside the back window of the car. "Donald Duck." Scrooge said while moving his head side to side. "Uncle Scrooge." Donald said while crossing his arms. "Uncle Scrooge?!" Huey repeated in disbelief from inside the car, holding his head between his hands. The boys begin cheering loudly from inside, Dewey even rolls out and over the roof before swinging himself back in crashing into Huey and Louie who were high fiving each other the whole time.
"So, you're looking good." Donald said stiffly, arms still crossed. "Still living on that boat?" Scrooge asks. "Yep. Still a trillionaire?" Scrooge pointed his cane to the mansion, where a peacock flew behind the gates. Donald nodded his head, "Good. Good. So..." Donald said a bit awkwardly, not knowing how to continue the conversation. "So... jettison that jalopy from my driveway this instant you dead beat!" Scrooge yelled, shoving his cane into Donald's chest before slamming it back down to the ground. Donald backs up before yelling back at Scrooge, "Oh! Here we go! Giving order's like he's the richest duck in the world!" throwing his arms up in the air. "I am the richest duck in the world! Now move!" Scrooge yelled. "I would love to! Just so happens I have a job interview!" Donald yelled back. "Then why are you standing there yelling!?" Scrooge asked as he continued to yell. "Mrs. B. Said you would watch the boys. Can you do that without losing them?" Donald asked angrily while gesturing to the boys and to Scrooge. "Of course I can." Scrooge said a bit desperately. "Fantastic! Thank you so much!" Donald said in a sarcastic tone as he walked back to the car. "You're welcome! Wait, what now?" Scrooge yelled out before asking realizing what Donald said and what he agreed to do.
Donald walked back to Scrooge with the boys in front of him. "Huey, Dewey, Louie, meet Scrooge McDuck. Remember, no tricks, no lies, no trouble." Donald said, "Yes, Uncle Donald." Huey, Dewey, and Louie said in unison looking back up at Donald. " I wasn't talking to you." Donald said as he glared at Scrooge. Scrooge glared back at him as the boys climbed inside the limo. As Donald is about to leave he talks to Scrooge for a moment. "Jesse will be coming by here in a couple of hours to check on the boys and pick them up." Donald said while looking at Scrooge, "He may want to talk to you about something." Scrooge gets a confused look on his face opening his beak about ask why. Before he can though Donald is already back in his car and getting ready to drive away. Scrooge grumbles to himself as he gets back in the limo, telling Launchpad to go. Donald gets out of the way, allowing the limo to pass by him and into gates of McDuck manor before driving away back onto the main road to his job interview.
While driving, Donald gets to a stop light and takes out his phone and starts texting. "I can't believe I'm taking his advice." Donald muttered under his breath before sending the message. Letting out a sigh, the light turns green and Donald continues to drive.
In another part of the city, we can see an early middle-aged duck walking on the sidewalk in a crowd in the middle of the city near the busy streets wearing a blue-gray button up jacket, the top button unbuttoned, sleeves rolled up to his elbows with black jeans, and a silver wedding ring on his left hand. The man had white hair tufts on the sides of his head, his hair styled with bangs and two thin diagonal scars on his left cheek. This duck walking down the street with his hands in his pockets is named Jesse. Some would say his name is a girls name but no matter.
Stopping in front of a crosswalk, the sign had a big red hand on, causing everyone walking to stop and wait until the street cleared. While waiting a faint buzzing could be heard from Jesse's back pocket. Alert, Jesse pulled out his phone and checked his messages to find that Donald texted him about the boys. Reading the message Jesse chuckled softly to himself, sending a reply back to Donald before putting his phone away. Jesse looked up at the sky smiling to himself, "Damn, didn't think he would take my advice." Jesse said to himself. The sign turned into a green duck mid-walk, causing everyone to start walking again. Following the crowd, Jesse crosses the street before making a left to the nearest bus station that would near the McDuck estate. "Guess I'm having that talk with Scrooge sooner than I thought."

At the front door of McDuck manor, Scrooge opened the door, entering his home and closing the door behind him. The boys waited patiently on the steps until the housekeeper, a tall muscular duck woman with square glasses known as Mrs. Beakley, opened the door and let them in. The triplets followed behind Scrooge through the lobby, spotting giant paintings of Scrooge on the walls and even a bowl of apples and diamonds resting on the mantel.
They were lead into a dining room where Scrooge sat at the head of the table reading the newspaper and the boys sat at end of the table. Nose deep in the paper, Beakley brings him a plate of sandwiches. Setting them down onto the table before pulling down Scrooge's newspaper, "Talk to your nephews." Beakley whispered to him. Scrooge just grumbled in response and continued to the newspaper. When he would back up again, the triplets were standing right next to him, with Dewey laying on the table beside him. Scrooge let out small yelp, startled at how quickly and quietly the triplets made their way to other side of the table so close to him. "So, do children still like marbles... or uh..." Scrooge stammered out in uncertainty as he rolled up the newspaper. The boys then jumped up at him, bombarding him with questions.
"Are you really our uncle?"
"How old are you?"
"What's your net worth?"
"What's deal with you and Uncle Donald?"
"Oh, is that fork real silver? Can I have it?"
"Why doesn't Dad talk about you?"
"How come you never visit?"
"Oh, cause you're so old, and moving is so hard."
"You owe us like A LOT of birthday presents."
"You used to be a big deal. Whatever happened to you?"
The last question set Scrooge off, slamming the newspaper against the table. "Beakley!" Scrooge yelled standing up out of his chair.
Scrooge pushed the nephews inside a dark and seemingly abandoned room with only a tall, long window bringing light inside. The triplets fell into the room looking back at Scrooge and Beakley in confusion.
"You agreed to watch 'em. Watch 'em." Scrooge told Beakley, pointing his cane at the triplets. Scrooge turned to the boys, his hand on his cane, "Huey, Louie,... the third one." Scrooge said, tipping his top hat to the boys, leaving the room. Walking toward the boys Beakley pulls out a bag of marbles, "Please do not leave the designated play area." Throwing the bag to the boys, "A gift from your great uncle." Dewey catches the bag, opening it, pulling out a red, green, and yellow marble. The boys look back up at Beakley in confusion and a bit in disbelief. "You will return them upon your departure. He's counted them." Beakley said as she closed the door, locking it.
"Great, now we've got two boring uncles." Huey said crossing his arms. "So we're totally ditching this room right?" Louie asked stuffing his hands inside his hoodie, "Yep, and I know just how to do it." Dewey said, standing in front of the door shaking the bag of marbles in his hand. Huey and Louie turn to Dewey in anticipation. Because there was no way they were spending the next hours in this room when there was an entire mansion just outside of it.
Scrooge walks through the hallway before stopping in front of a room filled with old artifacts and paintings of Scrooge and his adventures, torn newspapers scattered across the floor. Walking inside looking at a painting, Scrooge turns to look at a case with an old diving suit inside, dust layering outside the glass. Looking at his reflection inside the case, Scrooge grumbled softly to himself, "Used to be a big deal." Wiping the dust off the case where the helmet was, aligning with his face.

Walking on the front steps of the Manor Jesse knocks on the door patiently waiting for someone to open it. After a few seconds of waiting the door is opened by Mrs. Beakley letting Jesse inside, "Thank you Mrs. B. It's been a while since I last saw you." Jesse said as he walks inside the manor looking at Beakley. "Yes, it has been a while since we last talked. I assume you are here for the boys?" Beakley asked closing the door. "Yes but that doesn't mean I can't stay for a bit to talk. How has Webby been?" Jesse asked.
"Webby has been doing well, though I have noticed recently she has been hinting at wanting to go outside the manor." Beakley answered. "Well I can understand that. Has she ever been outside the manor?" Jesse asked raising a brow, "No, I want her to be able to protect herself and go out there but..." Beakley sighed, "But you're afraid she'll get hurt." Jesse finished, "I get that but we can't keep them locked away forever. Their going to want freedom and their definitely going to disobey. Goodness knows how many times the boys went against what Donald and I have said and did it anyway because of their curiosity." Jesse said with a wistful smile on his face.
"Quite the trouble makers are they?" Beakley inquired. "Oh definitely," Jesse laughed lightly, "Just like... just like their mother." Jesse smile faded as he finished his sentence, his eyes gaining a faraway look in their eyes. Beakley rested a hand on his shoulder snapping him back to reality, nodding to her in thanks before letting out a cough while messing with the hem of his jacket. "Actually, I was wondering if I could speak to Scrooge about something." Jesse questioned. "I'm sure he would mind but why the sudden need to talk to him?" Beakley queried. "Well," Jesse began, "it has been ten years since we last spoke or at least had an actual conversation and I wanted to talk with about the boys and you know what." Jesse said. Beakley stared at Jesse for a few moments her expression neutral before turning to walk away, "Well then let us hope Mr. McDuck is ready to talk. I'll take you to him." Jesse sighed in relief following Beakley, "Thank you Mrs. B. this means a lot to me." "Oh trust me, I know and I hope you succeed in your endeavor." Beakley said leading Jesse through the manor, "Me too Mrs. B., me too."
Beakley and Jesse make their way through the manor before stopping as the sound of struggling and crashes could be heard from Scrooge's office. Beakley nods to Jesse telling him to wait outside while she goes in the room before kicking the door open with her fists up ready to fight. Only to lower her fists as her face morphs into confusion while she watches Scrooge struggle to put on the old scuba suit that was in the case before.
"C'mon you braggart, you won't get the best of Scrooge McD-ahh!" yelling out in frustration as he falls to the floor pushing his and beak through the head hole. "Hmm, a little spring cleaning?" Beakley inquiries with a smirk on her face. "Maybe, maybe not. Read this." Scrooge puts on his top hat as he hands Beakley the newspaper. Reading the paper Beakley looks up with an unimpressed expression, "Snow. On the Drake Barrier Reef." "First time in fifty years. That weather report aligns perfectly with the Papaya Prophecy." Scrooge exclaims as he points to the giant stone behind him carved in hieroglyphics, "A shift in currents may present a pathway to... Atlantis! lost city under the sea." "This is because some children made fun of you isn't it?" Beakley asked, closing the newspaper with an unimpressed expression.
Outside the room in the hallway Jesse covers his beak to muffle a snort. Of course his kids would find a way to make fun of Scrooge, intentionally or not.
"Nonsense, I'm no has-been; they're the has-beens. I am an am-now." Scrooge says with a subtle ticked off expression as he puts on his scuba glove, spinning it 360 while pointing it up. "Make a list: four oxygen tanks, two pressure gauges, a pilot..." Scrooge says throwing up a notepad and pen for Beakley to catch.
"I'm a pilot." Launchpad exclaimed as he opened the door, with Jesse wondering where the hell he came from and who he was.
"A week's provisions, an experimental deep-sea sub..." Scrooge listed as he paced.
"I'm a pilot." Seriously, who is this guy? Jesse thought to himself as listened in to the conversation.
"And one secretary for an old man who seems to forgotten that I am NOT HIS SECRETARY!" Beakley exclaims in frustration, throwing the pen skillfully and forcefully into the wall near Scrooges head. Launchpad closes the "So... eh not interested?" Scrooge questioned cautiously. "I have enough excitement caring for Webby. Perhaps you should spend some time with your family." Beakley retorted at Scrooge, raising a brow. "Why? Hang up my spats?" Scrooge questioned gesturing to his boots extending his arms out, "Become the dottering old relic everyone thinks I am? Spinning yarns to those loudmouth young'uns about the man I used to be?" Scrooge questioned further in rising frustration putting his top hat away, picking up the diving helmet. "You have avoided them for ten years!" Beakley said in indignation lifting her arms far apart from each other facing Scrooge. "Because family is nothing but trouble!" Scrooge yelled turning his head to Beakley.
Jesse winced slightly from outside the room his arms crossed. It hurt to hear him say that but Jesse knew that Scrooge didn't mean that, not really anyway. He hopes that Scrooge will hear him out on what he has to say. Scrooge was, and is a kind person, just a person who also has a lot of faults.
"I'm Scrooge McDuck." Scrooge said putting the helmet on, pointing to the ceiling. With the weight of the helmet ever so slowly bringing the old duck down as he continued, "I made my name by being tougher than the toughies and smarter than the smarties. And I made my money square, on my own. No Nephews, no family, no one helped me then and I don't need help now, and-euagh!" Scrooge yelped as he rolled upside down onto the floor crashing into the wall in a sitting position. "... Beakley a little help?"
Beakley walked away.
Scrooge failed getting back up, the upper half of his body weighted down to the floor like an anchor. "Maybe their right." Scrooge said in defeat as he dragged his head on the carpeted floor.
"Eh, maybe but when has that stopped you?" Jesse said as he walked inside the study a smirk on his face. Scrooge freezes for a moment allowing Jesse to help him get the heavy helmet off his suit and head. Struggling a bit the two ducks fell backwards a bit, with Scrooge falling on his ass and Jesse catching himself staggering backwards a bit doing so. Scrooge rubs his head a bit as he groans before looking up at Jesse. Getting up Scrooge looks at Jesse before saying a bit awkwardly, "So... uh, did you hear all-" Jesse interrupts him.
"Yes, I did." Jesse looks at Scrooge, the air between them no doubt awkward and thick enough to cut with a knife. Putting down the diving helmet Jesse clears his throat, "That's actually why I'm here, I wanted to talk with you about the boys and... you know what."
Scrooge stiffens a bit at what Jesse said, it wasn't anything about the boys that made Scrooge nervous and tense. It was about what Jesse was implying. After ten years of avoiding each other, two out of the three Duck family members will be talking about the incident that happened so many years ago that drove the family apart in the first place.
They will be discussing what happened with The Spear of Selene.

Here is the update y'all. I have been working on this for a really long time and hope you all enjoyed the chapter. From what you all can guess this fanfiction will be leaning more towards Jesse than anything but I will be switching POV's every now and then. The first episode will be spread into hopefully three parts, I was originally planning on two but I also wanted to get at least one part out before the end of the summer so here it is. Part two is in the works as we speak a long with another fanfiction if you look into my profile. I hope you all have a fantastical evening, morning, afternoon, and goodnight. Don't forget to drink and eat.
