Chapter Text
Moon hadn’t been sleeping well. Ever since, Eclipse stol Sun’s body and ran away, Moon would constantly be on the lookout. Waiting for Sun to come home and tell him everything’s ok. Waiting for Eclipse to sneak up on him and try to attack again.
Just. Waiting…
It had been days. Days of pure quiet. Without Sun, the world seemed dark and cold. This must be loneliness taking over Moon.
Moon hadn’t been charging much either. It would put him in a state of weakness, a state that Eclipse could easily exploit for whatever reason. But Moon was so tired…
He started hearing and seeing things not too long ago. He was going to go insane if he didn’t charge soon. But it was too risky…
A loud crash came from below the tower. Moon looked over the edge to see… nothing. Nothing was out of the ordinary. He really was losing it…
Maybe if he charged very quickly, and kept his eyes open, he’d be able to catch Eclipse before he did anything. Yeah, that’s smart!
Moon trudged over to his charging station. He looked behind him one last time. Nothing. Good.
Moon entered and went into low power mode. While in this mode, he would be able to see everything around him, but he wouldn’t be able to move until he turned it off, which only required a small wait time.
He tried to relax. He would charge faster if he did. He tried to push Sun from his mind.
Sun would be ok. Sun would be ok.
Maybe if he told himself enough times, it would become true. His eyes started to close, but he quickly snapped them open again. His eyes were one of the few things he could move.
Before Moon even realized, Sun was standing right in front of the charging station. Was it really Sun?
No.
According to the electric blue eyes, this was Eclipse. Here.
They were smiling. It was strange to see Sun smile so… maliciously. Moon had never seen it before Eclipse.
“Having a nice nap, Moon?” Eclipse teased. Moon was unable to speak. He was trying to deactivate low power mode, but it was taking slower than usual. Maybe because his power was already so low.
“I hope so. You deserve it.” Eclipse opened the charging station, which stopped Moon’s charge, but he still couldn’t exit low power mode.
Moon noticed a chip in Eclipse’s hand. Not just any chip… his add-on chip! Eclipse had it the whole time!
Eclipse forcefully shoved the chip inside of Moon’s head. “I’m just giving this back to you. I’d hate for you to lose it.” Eclipse snickered.
Moon wanted to scream. Inserting the chip was so painful. But he couldn’t. He couldn’t move. He couldn’t stop what was being done to him. He couldn’t stop Eclipse. He couldn’t save Sun.
After an excruciatingly ****long time, Eclipse was finished and closed up the charging station.
“Sweet dreams, Moon! I can’t wait for the fun to begin.” Eclipse laughed maniacally. He disappeared just as fast as he had appeared. Moon knew he wouldn’t be able to catch up to him. Damage had already been done.
If… that was even real at all. Had he been so sleep deprived that he made up a scenario of pure paranoia? He wasn’t sure. Moon didn’t know if anything was real anymore. He needed to charge FAST. He needed to know if his chip had been tampered with.
He needed to help Sun…
