MUSE The Comic

Summary:

The comic version of MUSE by Kiranokira, the fic that grabbed my heart, squeezed and doesn't let go.

Summary from the original work:

Team, 21, is an economics student with a paper on sex work to write.

Win, 23, is the sex worker he chooses to interview.

“Team.”

Wincing, Team glances up at Win and experiences a shock to see Win smiling. Truly, widely, and genuinely.

“I’ve been doing this for three years,” Win says, “and that’s the first time someone’s said they want to do me for homework.”

Team suffers the indignation of Win’s smirk for a full half-second, then covers his face with both hands and tries very hard to make this nightmare reality into a lucid dream.

※　I took a lot of liberties with character design, going more with vibe rather than with looks. I hope it's okay. :)
※　The comic is easily digested even if you have not read MUSE. However, if you actually haven't, go do it right away! It is an amazing work with very confused Team, very gorgeous Win and breath-taking worldbuilding.
※　The rating of the original work is 'explicit', which is changed to 'teen' here, in the comic version, for now. We may jump to mature in later chapters ;)
※　I am planning to post it as I draw it, scene by scene.

We are officially in Chapter 2 territory now! :D
This was actually a very challenging scene to draw. There are so many kinds of narration here. We got Team's thoughts, Ting's holographic call, Team's daily routine explanation, Ting's flashback, some real time Team&Ting interaction, and even Team's reply to Win. It took some time to figure out how to put all of these together with a defined style for each one. I hope I did it justice.
